Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Hello, welcome to the next episode of the Desai Mike.
episode of the Desai Mike. This is Erin McGinnis behind the account. And this week we're going to
This is Erin McGinnis behind the account.
be talking about if Desai's season is here. Is it coming? What might be coming up next for the
Desai space? Also want to open this space up today and wish everyone a happy 10 year birthday to Ethereum.
I know there's a lot of awesome celebrations happening all around the world in different
cities for the 10 year anniversary of the first block on Ethereum.
So if you haven't yet checked out what's happening in your region, definitely go
do that. I know ETH Global has a big list of a whole bunch of events that they're putting on
and plenty of others going on in other locations as well. If you happen to be in the Bay Area right now, there's a really fun event planned for later
today at Frontier Tower and a celebration later this evening. So if you want details on what's
happening there, feel free to reach out and I can get you plugged in directly. With this, there's a lot of good excitement in the air right now just around Ethereum
and blockchain generally, as well as a few kind of advancements and listings for the
DSi space in particular.
And that's where part of this inspiration for this conversation comes from right now.
Just around like Coinbase, listing, Research Hub, and Bio.
Let me see if I can get some of the official announcements plugged into the chat here.
Yeah, so super exciting that DCI tokens are getting onto kind of mainstream radars
and kind of expanding beyond the circular bubble
that we might kind of have historically existed within.
All right.
Hopefully these get shared in soon.
All right.
So up at the top, you can see from Coinbase Assets
that Research Coin, the coin behind ResearchHub, and also ResearchHub is a company that Brian Armstrong co-founded as well.
So a lot of good support at that level into the DCI space.
And then also Bio from BioProtocol, which has helped launch a bunch of DCI tokens.
Both of these have either been added onto the roadmap for being available for trading on Coinbase.
So this is kind of a really exciting update
to kind of help expand the DSi kind of view
for more people being able to be engaged.
Also have a lot of other fun updates
in the broader ecosystem as well. A lot of cool
progress across the different DAOs and kind of expansions into other technologies too. I can share
is some work that I recently did with smart glasses to help copy scientific documentation
in a more decentralized way as well, just capturing it in the same standards and format
for as many different people working on in different research spaces. So
newer technologies are coming into the sphere as well, which is also exciting in a way for
new scientists to come into the arena, in addition to new traders coming in and engaging with some of the different tokens.
So people are coming in from both sides of the equation, which will hopefully continue getting more energy into the space too.
They also have some fun upcoming events such as a DeSci hackathon,
which is taking place on August 9th and 10th.
And so that will be across robotics, AI,
vibe coding, lab automation.
So a wide range of different technologies and disciplines
being able to be integrated into scientific tool development and advancement as well.
Those are a few of the kind of pieces of news within this space.
of news within this space.
And there's a lot more exciting updates
kind of happening across the whole ecosystem as well.
Be on the lookout following different accounts
for how they're engaging with the Ethereum celebrations
around the world
to check out what's going on on that front and engage with people
IRL too. So these are a few of the updates I wanted to kind of emphasize. Coinbase has also
partnered with a handful of different larger traditional financial institutions.
So hopefully that will one, get more people engaging in crypto and blockchain generally,
as well as create invitation for other large institutions to be able to trust and engage with blockchain-based organizations.
Hopefully that will extend over into large traditional scientific organizations or structures
and helping them open up into more decentralized practices too.
Cool. These are the main kind of updates. I just wanted to make sure
were shared out for today. Happy to dive into any other topics if anyone else has exciting news to share or if they're seeing any trends within the DSI space.
I know for a while, people have been saying that just kind of little shifts like this
to help get DSI onto the broader crypto Twitter mindshare can really go a long way. I mean, that's how we saw some of the boosts back in, uh, October, November last year,
just when CZ and Vitalik engaged at some DCI events around DevCon.
So little things can, can really boost up the whole space.
So maybe that could be happening again now, especially because
there's more mechanisms to be able to kind of launch DCI projects across the financial realm
as well. There's a couple on Believe that have launched tokens. So take a look through the different options on Believe.
And also different larger groups have been sharing out about Desai as well.
Here's one from Binance a couple weeks ago.
So plenty of good conversations happening in the broader sphere, um, and different direct ways that people can engage with it as well.
So I guess on that note, uh, yeah, just wanted to highlight a few of these different things happening right now, uh, within the Desai space that might be able to
kick start kind of a next level of expansion for the sector, create invitation for people to kind
of take advantage of this or engage as well, support different projects, and just kind of create that type of knowledge and invitation.
So I guess with that,
unless there are any other questions or thoughts to be discussed,
we can close out the space,
create some time to go engage with these different projects
or keep building on whatever you might be building as well.
Awesome. Well, thanks so much everyone for tuning in this week and we'll be back again next week
with another topic related to DSi. Thanks for tuning in.
