One thing that I really like how Trump is incorporating, I love how he's incorporating
these podcasts and interviews into his campaign.
Like, has anyone ever done that before?
Like, minus the crypto part.
Like, have we had politicians that are going around to some of the streamers and podcasts
instead of just focusing on, like, ads and speeches and the typical political stuff?
So, RFK Jr. and Vivek Ramaswamy, I think you say it like that.
They're the ones that kind of popularized it on this time because they weren't getting
any of that media coverage and they just started going ham on that kind of stuff, which is why
I think Trump has started to do it now with bringing RFK on board.
And then if you also listen to some of these speeches as well with Trump, his son is really
big.
His son got him on the Theo Vaughn podcast.
I don't know if you know that.
Man, that was such a banger.
I love that.
Like, they should do more of them.
Honestly, politicians should do this from now on.
Like, it's completely different going on those podcasts than it is doing a speech or a campaign
event.
Like, we see more realness from them.
Isn't that so crazy?
Like, if you listen to Trump on, like, Theo Vaughn, Lex Friedman, any of those longer
podcasts versus his media appearances, this campaign trail, like, he's a very different
person.
He is much more reserved.
He isn't all that bravado and those big, like, incendiary and, like, really hard-hitting
stuff.
Like, very normal person at that point.
Like, really kind of shows how a lot of what Trump is doing and saying is very well orchestrated
in marketing and stuff.
He's a fantastic marketer.
He's a brilliant speaker.
Everybody thinks that he's dumb and everything like that.
But if you listen to him, like, you just see the different patterns in what he says, and
it just sticks in your mind better.
Like, that's why everybody knows what Trump's all about, because he clearly articulates his
thoughts.
And it's just so cool to see that now on these longer-form podcasts where you can actually,
like, say something without being interrupted by 15 different pundits who have whatever opinion
that they don't want to share.
All the questions, trying to get their own gotcha moment so they go viral and get a raise
for the next paper they go to.
But man, how ironic is it that we get more realness out of the politicians on social media?
Like, that seems like it's completely backwards, which means that it makes perfect sense that
we're talking about it in Web 3.
Like, because when it's backwards here, it's normal.
It's about time they did that, to be honest, because before it used to be so disconnected
to the public.
Now that you can actually feel the politician, you know, it's like you're speaking to them
as well.
It's not anymore like I'm seeing you on a show and it's a distant thing and whoever
is interviewing, you know, you can't even comment.
Now, with social media, especially with Trump, you get them on a spaces and people are commenting,
people are coming onto the panel.
They can ask questions if that allows it, you know.
It's such a different experience.
And I think this is the way the future always means for politics.
Look, I mean, it's either a shift in how they're going to start campaigning from now
on or one of the biggest psyops of all time.
I mean, look, if anybody is masterful at that kind of stuff, I'm pretty sure it would
be politicians, but like, I mean, this, this feels different.
Like I get a totally different vibe when I'm watching Trump on one of these podcasts, even
with Elon in the spaces, like it's different than when he's giving a speech at, you know,
like one of these press conferences or the debate with Kamala, like those feel heavily
scripted.
Like I'm sure they go through training bootcamp and they're rehearsing it day in and day out.
But these podcasts, it's I'm sure they still rehearse it.
Like they never go into a situation unprepared, but it's a, like they bring some of their
self onto it.
It's, it's different.

Like everyone heard the announcement of the blockchain.
There was a lot of talk about it, but getting a partnership with Circle to have USDC on there.
Not, not, not USDT, not yet, but you know, like that Circle's the second biggest one
and obviously meant to facilitate transactions.
Like how big of a deal do you think this, this kind of stuff is?
Like Grim, you're, you're a gamer.
I want to start with you.
Like, what do you think Sony's, Sony's cooking?
Oh man.
Well, first of all, as we were discussing it earlier, I think they introducing tokenization
of like assets in the games, which is very bullish.
I don't know about the games itself, but imagine if everything that you do on their
system now becomes tokenized.
So it's track, you have ownership of it.
It's not anymore like a digital asset that disappears after you finish playing that game.
So like we've been playing so many games, like even League of Legend, as an example, or
Diablo, you buy the traits, you buy the cosmetics, and then you stop playing the game and they
disappear.
But what if these, you know, assets that you have can become tradable now and they create
their own marketplace?
This is going to make a big difference.
That's the secret sauce.
Because when they have a marketplace, they already have patents for wallet technology,
which they got years ago.
Like Sony's been ahead of the curve.
They're in Japan, which is, you know, crypto is already widely accepted with gaming and anime
and the culture over there.
From what I see a lot of people posting on Twitter.
But having the marketplace, having stable coins, you're going to be able to facilitate
instant settlement transactions everywhere in the world.
Like right now, isn't Sony, is the PlayStation Network geolocked?
Like, are you only allowed to use that if you're in the US or the UK?
Like, can you use it all around the world, Grim?
They have a list of countries.
I don't remember the exact number, but it came out after they had that big debacle with
the Helldivers, since they wanted to block people from playing in certain countries where,
you know, they didn't accept the terms of, like, the Sony PlayStation Network.
So they locked the game.
It's quite a lot.
I think it's around 160-something.
But still, you know.
When I hear a blockchain, you got a blockchain, you got a bunch of games.
Games are going to want to do their own play-to-airdrop campaigns.
Sony's going to have their own incentivization mechanisms.
They're going to have a marketplace.
Like, I need to look into, like, I need to start farming Sony's airdrop.

What I want to know.

What I want to know is, if Sony goes to blockchain, does that mean I'm actually going to be able
to keep the videos and games I buy on their network?
Or are those still going to go away at some random point that they don't disclose?
You know, if I were Sony, I would make it so that you have to buy the games.
Those go on your hard drive because otherwise Sony's going to have to, you know, pay for
storage and all that.
Like, why do it if the, you know, if the player's already willing to do that?
But I would have all of the in-game assets or have certain games where it's blockchain
compatible.
And they've got their own marketplace for it.
So they're still selling the game.
I don't think Sony wants to make the games tradable because they make money selling the
game.
Like, why is Sony going to do that?
That's, that's not the best situation for them, but having the marketplace, they're
getting extra money off the fees.
Like, that's an additional revenue method or revenue generator for Sony, which is, you
know, fits perfectly with multi-billion dollar corporations.
They're always trying to find new ways to make money.

And sorry, I couldn't, when you were about to say something, Kiwi, what, what, what'd
you got for us?
I just mentioned that there are also biggest producers of the music and the film industry.
So, you know, it's just only the beginning of the story.
Oh man, I wasn't even thinking about that.
Music, movies, every, if all of this ends up on the Sony blockchain and I am positive that
they see what's going on with the NFTs and being able to build brands and having the communities
own a part of it and participating in it, like Sony definitely sees what's happening
with Izuki.
They've got all of these IPs, like Sony's one of the few companies that I think could
do something to make a huge impact.
Like, look at all the infrastructure they have.
Oh yeah.
And just think about like, you know, if we're going more like the entertainment route, all
the memorabilia that they probably have, that's their IP that they could now put on the blockchain
and sell as NFTs, you know, with that real world asset attachment, I know that you're
a big fan of David.
So that's a huge possibility in revenue stream for them.
Which big brands or which big franchises or IPs does Sony own?
Like, I think Marvel and, and, uh, Marvel and the superhero ones, that's all.
Marvel is Disney.

I think if you get, you know, Sony, Warner Brothers, some of these big ones, like having a big decentralized platform, but they're still making money off the fees somehow.
Like, they need to own the blockchain, which is what I have a feeling that they're, like, that, that's what Sony can do right now.
I would, I would also assume that Warner Brothers is working on something too.
I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, though.
I think that's a, that's a next bull cycle kind of narrative.

Like, go, go make a Shopify, put it in Dubai and you're good.
Like, what's, what's the problem with that?
But, apparently, there's something called regulations and licenses.
So, you know, that's why I don't have my own exchange.

Like, what, what crypto exchanges are, are in Dubai already?
Like, is Binance over there or are the big ones there?
I don't really know, but I kind of use Poketify for anything that I need to swap between changes and tokens.
So, I'm fine with that, you know.
I don't need to worry about exchanges.
And I don't even need to worry about exchanges launching my own token, which is coming to Poketify, too.
Which is kind of a cool thing to me.

But we're better off using platforms like Poketify, keeping it off the centralized exchanges.

Like, that's a, I guess that's a big deal in the real world.

It's almost everywhere, to be honest.
I mean, every single transaction that was made through the banking system was handled by Swift.
Before they started introducing Web3 technology like XRP or other transaction, like, multi-global is Swift.
They own the majority of the banking systems that go behind the same infrastructure.
So whenever you needed to send a transaction by a wire, it would go through Swift.
And having this kind of technology being implemented, it means they're trying to catch up now.
They don't want to be left, although they do still own the majority of the transaction, they still need to integrate the technology to be at the same pace of the competitor.
Like, that, like, in your online banking app, is there, like, a Swift button that you can transfer money with?
Or that Swift is the level above that?
Think of Swift more of, like, the mail carrier, right?
And then, like, ACH is kind of, like, an internal mail system for your organization, right?
But, like, once you get outside the U.S., it goes to Swift to kind of coordinate all those different transactions.
So it's not something, like, we, the consumers, really interact with.
It's the banks at a level, like, underneath.
They're the ones talking to each other.
So, like, once we put our money in and say, go here, go there, they take over from there.
Does that make sense, David?

So it's, like, why not just use crypto?
Like, what do they even exist for?

Because, like, Grim, you're a little bit better on the tech side of this than me, but that then just becomes different entries in databases at that point, because that's all we're doing essentially now is, you know, putting numbers in different databases.
And if that crypto layer is built on, it's an easy button press to just be like, transfer to USDT.

They need to do it.
Honestly, I won't be satisfied with Citibank or Chase or any of those other banks.
I won't like them until they have meme coins inside of the banking app.

But, I mean, look, that's another reason for banks to do it.
I mean, either banks or some other big company needs to have an easy version.
Like, the drive-thru tellers at the banks, we need ATMs and stuff like that.
But, I don't know.
I don't know if it's a good thing if banks get involved, if it's a bad thing.
But as long as it's easy, that's what's going to bring everybody into crypto.
I think a big thing with, like, the banks and what I'm excited about it for is, like, something I heard recently by a guy who's a data hacker type.
He's like, he went into his bank and made them sign a contract that they will not transfer any money unless he is there in person.
Just because there's so many of those AI voice scams coming.
And now with freaking ChatGPT's O1 preview and what that can do, that's going to go even higher.
So, that, I think, is going to be something really cool with that face-to-face communication.
Because, you know, as trustless as crypto is, sometimes you just need to see someone in person and be like, okay, I can touch you.
You're real.
But, have you seen the latest updates of OpenAI?
Right now, they have a new function where you can actually talk to ChatGPT and then it thinks.
Mm-hmm.
You know, I want to start using that.
It cuts me off.
I need to have an AI buddy.
I need to have an AI buddy that I can just talk to and bounce ideas off of throughout the day.
And it slowly becomes more and more like me.
