go to music festivals with some of my friends, you know, go on vacation,
you know, go to a nice warm place, get out of the wintertime and stuff like that.
You know, there's no reason if I can't do that by myself,
that if I have limited assistance that I can't manage to be able to go
and make some memories and, you know, be able to just get out there and inspire people and just, you know, because like when I was in New
York City, I met Steve Nash, you know, the great Canadian basketball player and stuff and,
and was chatting with him real quick. And, you know, so that was that was pretty cool. You just
never know who you're going to meet. And then, you know, being a fellow Canadian, I chat with
him for about 15, 20 minutes or so and told him my story. And he couldn't believe it. You know, he's like, you got down here because like even before I went to Vegas, when I went to New York City,
there was some mess around with U-Haul and everything.
And it ended up being that I had to put my chair.
I got pictures of it, put my chair and myself in the back of the U-Haul.
And then my friend drove, drove four and a half hours to go to Calgary so I could get on the plane so i could get to new york city so you know it all started it all started there really the u-haul

And for one, not only that, like mentally, do I do I want to be behind the vehicle again?
Because it takes a lot out of a person, you know, until you're in that situation again.
Like when I was driving around in the back of the paratransit buses, you know, and seeing my identical vehicle,
it's just one of those things you just put your put your eyes down to the buses, you know, and seeing my identical vehicle, it's just one of those things, you just put your eyes down to the ground, you know. But basically what happened was they said
if I did the driving course, so I had to go for seven one-hour sessions just to prove to them that
they had enough confidence and trust in me to be able to go for the road course.
And then I went for a two-hour drive and they told me that yeah as far as we're concerned you drive
um about as good or better as a 15 or 16 year old and so you know take that for what it's worth and
you know I'm able to parallel park with my arms and stuff like that you know where there's people
that can't even use their mirrors in parallel park nowadays with you know four limbs so here I am with
two yeah and I feel that man after I was at the towers on 9-11 man so I don't want to fly from you know, four limbs. So here I am with two.
Yeah. And I feel that man after I was at the towers on nine 11, man.
So I didn't want to fly for fucking a couple of years. It was, it was tough,
you know, that shit fucked me up. But then I was like, you know what,
what am I going to do? I'll fly again.
So I just got on a fucking plane one day and it sucked the first time. I'm not going to lie. I had to take a little bit of Xanax to get on,
but you know, as I, as I went, I went, each time it got easier and easier.
But yeah, I could imagine after being in an accident.
I also got in a bad accident when I was hit.
Thank God nothing happened except I ripped the top gums and all my teeth out.
I went through the windshield of a car when I was like 16.

saying what a person is all about i don't know what it is right yeah i Yeah, I mean, from my personal experience,
everything bad that's happened to me in life,
like the worst things, something good just came out of it.

But every bad thing that happened to me in life,

lost friends you know and it's just it's you can't replicate it you know and the tears and
the emotions and stuff and everyone just meeting it's just yeah it's very precious
man every saturday uh less iron slick and whoever else is there we do a space called the people
behind the pfp because a lot of people they can't make the rl events but i really think like honestly
it's been a passion of mine for a long time just i'm not a host well i might be a pro now i'll

of mine because if you can't make rl events uh what's the next best way to build community like really learn learn about the people man

um here it goes um this is a message for everyone out there who is having self-esteem issues
going through depression or even worse thoughts of suicide I understand your battle more than you
may ever realize however no one out there can understand mine or even begin to I know life
is tough some days it may seem overwhelming or even or even unbearable just know you have the ability
to change your life any way you see fit my life changed forever in an instant and if i can manage
to keep my head up after being a quadriplegic then everyone out there who is able-bodied and
had a bad day or a bad week should honestly have no excuse to keep pushing through believe it or
not if you do need someone to talk to i'm there for you and by the way because of my accident i
now have teen odesis
which is basically the inability to open my hands and use my fingers no one will ever understand
how hard that loan is i appreciate all the support and believe it or not i do have a hard time at
looking at pictures of everything before the accident so keep your chin up be grateful for
what you have even if some days it doesn't seem like much it can always be worse
even if some days it doesn't seem like much it can always be worse so yeah now
that's what came to me when I was obviously battling you know some very
deep thoughts and everything like that and didn't really see a point in life
but I had to I could obviously couldn't type that all out so I just spoke to my
phone and that's everything that came out.
And, you know, it's those words and being in that moment that you just, you can't fake that, you know.
And you never know those words, how that's going to impact someone.
And I know people listen back to the space, you know, and it's going to impact even more people.
So it's just, yeah, very thankful.
And I'm so thankful and grateful that um because
i broke my neck it was my c5 my c6 and my c7 vertebrae and if it would have been one vertebrae
higher i wouldn't be able to use my voice and if i couldn't use my voice and couldn't use my hands
for sign language then i probably wouldn't be having this conversation you know but i can't
say that for sure but you know a quick um, quick, um, crash, quick question for
you. Um, so my sister-in-law, uh, is a paraplegic. She fell down the stairs and broke her C3 through
seven. Um, she can speak fortunately, but no use of her, you know, basically entire lower body has
a little bit of movement in her arms. But if you wouldn't mind, man, um, I'm gonna hit you in the
DM. I'd love to connect you two if if possible i think that would be hugely beneficial for her
100 man you know like i was saying earlier i went through the denial phase and i kind of have like
a dark sense of humor you know so like i would just say yeah man you know my dm's always open i
just sit on my ass all day anyways you know so I definitely slide them in it's uh but I'm always yeah any way that I can manage to help and give back it's it's I got you know I got all
the time in the world you know as it is and it's kind of you know you can see my situation is tragic

have a boss and a career and people breathing down my neck and people to impress and try and make this quote and try and you know pay off these bills and everything you know so as much as

but i just kind of keep that as just a small scheme in the grand scheme of life

because usually like my daughter she moved to cali in september and even though that's the
only person that i have left you know family ways. I think last year and the year before we did spend Thanksgiving together and I cooked like a banquet like for 30, 40 people.
I don't know how to cook for one person.
