Thank you. I was placed here in this empty hand
You don't know why I'm in your room
Very soon, it's all great to say
Telling me the things you don't do with me you Take his message to us, girl.

Shining by my Jesus Christ

But I'm gonna keep on the new Thank you. Oh, yeah. Oh Oh what is up everybody welcome to kuru live cozy here 9 30 a.m eastern standard time actually
9 35 we are having a great wednesday morning i kind of feel like I'm doing a radio lead-in
right now. I'm feeling great, feeling good. Little Doobie Brothers for your Wednesday morning.
Loving life. Excited to be here. We've got content coins, Galaxy Dump, Hyperliquid
Downtime, and more. Guys, you should know. I spend so, not so long, but I spend like multiple
minutes thinking about what to name these spaces. It's actually a problem.
So I might just start listing the content if I don't have something funny to post.
But I'm glad that you're here.
Thank you for tuning in this week.
Excited to dive into all 24 of you that have joined so far.
We love you.
We're glad that you are here.
It's a great day.
I'm excited to dive into it.
KB, how are you doing?
Are you on the road?
What are you up to?
Yo, Jim, Jim. Yeah, you can say I'm on the road. I've been traveling. It's my birthday week, so
definitely celebrating. Yeah, my birthday is on Thursday? Tomorrow. Tomorrow. My birthday's
tomorrow. Nice. Wow. Okay, fun, fun. That is epic. KB kb birthday week didn't know that bad co-worker
good to know now we will okay i didn't tell anybody no no that's that's awesome probably
i mean that's like something that only deal knows you know yeah deal knows my entire existence um
i'm like terrified i'm like I'm going to actually need an accountant
this year because of deal.
No, but, hey, fun fact.
Guess who shares the same
birthday as I do?
Whoa. July
31st? Or is it August 1st?
It's July 31st.
Oh, I don't know.
Someone in the community.
Joe Biden.
Joseph Robinette Biden?
No, not Joe Biden.
Hunter Biden.
I don't know.
No, someone in the community.
They're not in the community.
Oh, Baron.
Baron Trump.
All right, we're done uh zeath
yes zeath alpha let's go shout out zeath one of the absolute crew chads that's big time
it's funny so zeath has been in the crew community since day one because
also you know we missed our one year right oh wow
we sure did we missed our one year um and because i remember when i first started with kuru
i think a week later was my birthday and then zeath was in the community day one and he was
like we share a birthday. So I think like right
away, you know, obviously Zeth is an OG now. He's been there. Um, but you know, caught my attention
right away. I was like, okay, birthday twin. Um, but yeah, no, so that's what I'm up to. Just kind
of, uh, moving and grooving. Um, and yeah, just celebrating. Imagine Zeth is like your alt.
You're like, yeah, no, like me and Zeth,
like yeah, he was a day one.
He's been there from the beginning
and KB's just like furiously like replying to herself.
She's like, LOL, like yeah, I have the same birthday.
I've never seen KB and Zeth in the same room. So I don't know. I have zero same birthday. I've never seen KB and Z in the same room.
So I don't know.
I have zero time for that.
Yeah, fair.
I have zero time for an all account.
Also, before we start this, I guess I'll pin it.
I do have an impersonator in the Discord.
A-Rich shared it to me because they had sent him a message. He's also an OG in the discord um erich uh shared it to me because they had sent him a message he's also
an og in the community um so definitely watch out for that we're definitely going to be getting a
lot of those cozy you'll probably get one daniel you'll probably get one um i'm sure we already
have them um but yeah i do have an impersonator i pinned to the top uh just watch out for those handles they put a period in
front of the handle um also like i've dm a lot of you guys um already we i think a lot of us
kind of like communications um but if you've never dm'd before and i dm you that's probably not me.
So just stay vigilant and be careful with scammers.
Yeah, no, so real.
I got a friend request on Discord the other day from Bill Monday,
and it was at Bill Monday.
And I was like, oh, this might like, oh, this is probably like the real Bill Monday. But like, why is he sending me a Discord friend request?
He turns out was not even a part of the Monad Discord.
So that's kind of like a clear indicator right there.
No shared service.
So, I mean, I like accepted it and I was like, oh, this is just a fake.
This is fake Bill Monday.
And so, yeah, no, you definitely got to be you got to be careful and stay dialed in because that stuff is, is so real.
It is a bit surreal that like, you think some scammer somewhere, either like a bot or some real human being sees an account and they're like, hey, like I can extract by pretending to be KB or like pretending to be cozy.
You're like, this is so, it feels kind of surreal. You're
like, I don't know if I'm actually worth this, but, but, but it kind of, it's true. So yeah,
definitely stay, stay sharp on all of that stuff. Great, great reminder. So true. Yeah,
no, man. What a, what a day, what a week we are. We're back at it, man. It's KB's birthday week.
I'm not a summer. My birthday is in November. You're right, KB. We are, we're back at it. Man, it's KB's birthday week.
I'm not a summer, my birthday is in November. You're right, KB, we did miss our one year.
And it's funny, that's actually kind of bad, because I, at the beginning of the month,
had my one year with Kuru. But we probably launched the Twitter in early July of last year,
which is like a funny, and we had our, you seed raise announcement all that so i think that was the second tweet that we ever put out we launched the discord yeah man what a time
that yeah i'll have to go back and look at what the actual date we missed it we missed it no we
definitely missed it i feel like that's okay i feel like like if, I mean, if we were, if we were like live on May, I don't know, we could have definitely made something fun out of it. all those submissions and then just like getting everything situated and just the fact that like,
you know, we are so close to Mainnet at this point.
And, you know, there's a lot going on internally that it just we just it just slipped our mind.
Yeah, no, no, for sure.
It makes sense.
I think that the no, no, it's a good that's so true.
And yeah, I mean, speaking of that, we try to keep these kind of Kuru agnostic in a lot of ways.
But if you didn't see our announcement yesterday, I think that Twitter, I don't want to blame Twitter,
but we put out what I think is like a pretty cool activation for people, which is to show us your trading setup.
We just launched that yesterday.
And so it's running through next Tuesday at noon.
Tuesday at noon. And it's very simple. Just take a picture of your trading setup, right? Your
And it's very simple.
desktop or your laptop or your desk or whatever it is. It could be outside. It could be, I mean,
people are like, hey, I'm on my phone, dude. Like this is just what it is. I'm like, all right,
fair. But if you have any like Monad swag, or if you want to make some Kuru IRL swag or whatever
it is, some people have already made it.
They can stage it.
They've already got it for the scrumpies or whatever we've done in the past.
We'll give you bonus points for that.
And we're giving away 10 t-shirts.
And normally you're kind of like, okay, like, I mean, I'm not that like, oh, it's just a generic t-shirt.
But it's not.
It's awesome.
It's made by our new designer, whose name is Pertam.
And I actually think they look super sick like i actually am super hyped i think that the team is getting the t-shirt so i'm excited to get my own t-shirt because i think they look pretty awesome
and so we had a post bang last week where people were like hey who wants a kuru t-shirt and it got
like 1500 likes and then the i'm like hey here's how you get a t-shirt it was
like 150 likes so i'm like guys we gotta we gotta show out we had for vashi post his setup yesterday
so we gotta get some people spam those have some fun with it it doesn't have to be super serious
we'll get bonus you know i didn't say this but we'll get bonus points for being funny too like
if you if you like put if you like put your laptop next to your toilet or something, I will definitely boost you, um, for that. And I'll
be retweeting some of the best submissions over the next week or so here. So, um, yeah, if you
want to get some exposure from Maine, you should definitely throw that up and, uh, yeah, enter for
chance to win an exclusive t-shirt. We literally will only be making probably like 20 of these
t-shirts and
then they will disappear into the ether forever so you should try to get in on the action um and
it'll be fun i want to rep that irl yeah and i'm making those shirts so um like i said also i have
yet to take a photo of my setup um i am home now. So I will be doing that a little later today.
And honestly, I don't think anybody can really beat my setup. So you guys can try. I'm going
to win all the shirts. I think you I think you might. And it's funny. I actually I'm a little
self conscious because I won. So I think you guys most people that are regulars know I just moved and I'm kind of like bouncing around my house, taking calls like right now.
I'm in the room that's kind of become my office, but it also has my son's crib in here as a changing table.
I'm here right now. There's a spider in the corner that I need to kill.
And I still need to get like a standing desk and like all of that good stuff to like finish it out and like make it really nice.
But I really don't have much swag.
So I'm like, OK, maybe I can like stage a T-shirt.
I'll do I'll do a little photo shoot sometime and we'll we'll make it happen.
We've got some duct tape in here that we use to to tape our son's diaper to him at night because he was taking his diaper off every night and peeing in the bed.
So it looks
kind of like a crazy setup in here right now. Not the most aesthetic, but we'll make it happen.
Don't report us to the, what is it, CPA or whatever it is. I promise the duct tape is
exclusively for the diaper. But yeah, no, it's good. Oh, man.
It's been a fun week.
It's been a crazy kind of week in crypto.
Pretty standard.
I wouldn't say anything that's like banging off or going too insane this week.
We've got a Testnet 2 upgrade that just went out for Monad that is really exciting.
They are rolling out the Monad VFT upgrade to Testnet 2, which as far as I know went pretty seamlessly. You can view
the process at jomonads.com, which is still one of the coolest ways to just be able to visualize
what's happening on Monad testnet right now. So that's pretty fun. We've also got some good news
and I've got some, I hope like questions to kind of like stoke, um, what we've got, uh, going on today.
We've got two people that want to come up. I don't really know you guys, but I will bring you up as speakers and you can come up and say, how we got ZZZZJZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ I got you. Invite. That's going to just like blast your phone. Like we're going to invite KB to co-host and she's going to like glitch out on us.
But I will bring you up.
Let's see if it works.
But yeah, no, we're doing good.
Glad to be here.
Okay, okay.
Let's dive in.
We've got some good stuff going on this week.
I want to talk Zora. I think this is
a pretty funny one. I hope we get some of our crew. If anybody wants to come up, like, hey,
Jungie, feel free to come up if you want to vibe or anybody. We've got LaBear. We've got Draki.
We've got Daniel. We've got the crew. Come on up. We're talking Zora. We've kind of missed the initial pump on Zora.
We talked about it maybe tangentially over the last week or two.
But I feel like content coins have still kind of been in the conversation
for some time here now.
And there's been a lot of debate, discussion about just kind of the model
and how it works.
We had Jesse Pollack going out and doing his kind of street evangelism
They changed.
They said, hey, would you like a free juice to get on the social on the new social media platform that pays you to post, which is some of the craziest framing for like basically like launching like shitters. I think still if you have like the PTSD from like that KB and I have talked about of being American citizens and like not wanting to launch a coin because you didn't know if you would go to jail to where like every post that you do on base's new social media platform is default set to launch a coin for every one of those.
It is kind of like an insane accelerationism
that you have going on.
But I mean, there is really like,
I guess, no utility to this stuff.
And it seems like if, I mean,
you kind of hope that if Coinbase is doing this stuff
that you're not going to go to jail for it.
But I don't have an account on Zora currently.
I might actually have traded on Zora before,
but back when it was like NFTs or stuff like that.
But I don't know.
KB, do you have any,
what is your initial read on content coins?
And I've got some kind of questions to prompt us here,
but I think we should dive in.
Are you a content coin bull?
What the hell do you think no no you know
it's it's yeah i don't i'm not oh let's listen the friend tech thing freaks me out like it reminds
me of like friend tech but like i'm on such a higher level um because it's a coin for every
time you post something um and there are people that there's i think i forgot
who it was that had created a coin oh um jack butcher like he uses zora for his art right and
he had posted something i'm going to pin a few things he had posted something like i never wanted
to create a coin but like here we are and he essentially accidentally launched a coin not knowing like the
new rules while he was already on zora for his art um there's also a post by brooke lacy that
i'm trying to pin up here um and she kind of like explains the whole thing as well um and had made
65 dollars uh by posting a video and the only way to make money is to essentially like dump on
the people who are also buying these coins um and i just i don't know where this is gonna fall
in the line later on like how does this work for taxes how does this work for base there are so
many unanswered questions that like the normal person wouldn't
really ask and I think that us who are just so like embedded in this system and like you know
we're like well we're like where are the rules like where are the regulations like what do we
do here like are these securities um and so you know it just seems a bit gray area and not really like something that i would
want to be involved in um but like you said like this is all fall under base you know this is all
fall under coinbase um and do they have i would just like to see like the legalities of this and
i don't think anyone's really talking about it yeah I mean so we I mean we did get
clarification that memes meme coins I think this is literally from the SEC that if they have no
utility and just are purely a speculative vessel that they are legal at least least insofar, I think, as like that guidance was given out.
But I think you still don't have a clear like is a meme coin a commodity?
You know, like, is it something where like you can bullpost the price of a meme coin like that still is not entirely clear?
Certainly like Saylor, I think, thinks that it's legal to say that like Bitcoin is going to, you know, five million or 10 million.
Does that mean that like Jack Butcher can be like, well, not that he would, but that he can be like bullposting his content or whatever it is.
And you're right, KB, that like it is kind of crazy that we are accelerating down a path where it seems like most people's real concern with all these things as a result of pump fund is like the liquidity fragmentation that comes from there just being like way too many assets.
I mean, there's just so there's literally hundreds of thousands of coins that are being launched every day.
being launched every day. So you're just spreading your capital so thin. I can see a world where
So you're just spreading your capital so thin.
maybe a podcast creator or an artist or something like that, or even a meme,
like I've thought about it for myself to some extent, where you're like, okay, I'm a memer.
My Elon bucks are not that much. What I want say my bangers you know to be like
tokenized like would that be cool i'm i've been pretty so people just like buy they would just
buy your meme based on it being like funny yeah i don't know if people would do that i feel like what is interesting about content coins is the creator
i think and now like fantasy top is sort of an extension of this right but it's kind of in like
an abstract way because you're speculating on like the performance of a tweeter right like of
somebody who's like a writer or a memer or a, or whatever, a threader or whatever they kind of do in the space.
So maybe there's, and then there's some world, I think, where like, you know, would you want to own like a piece of, you know, like a great up only episode?
Or like, would you want to own a piece of like a Sherlock Hottle's, you know, like 30K likes banger?
Maybe, but like those just feel very ephemeral to me, right?
You'd want to be confident that this is something that's going to like
stand the test of time.
And that's very hard to determine in like the short term, right?
Like most posts that bang are viral for a day
and then they just kind of die forever.
So it would be very PVP, I feel like too.
And then not only would it be PVP for the people trading it, so it would be very pvp i feel like too and then not only would
it be pvp for the people trading it but it would be pvp it would be like pva like it would be like
it would be like creator versus audience right because to really make money theoretically you'd
have to be dumping on your audience and i think there is some form of like fees that come from it, where like you can earn like this passive stuff off of it. But to my understanding,
that's not where the real gains are with regard to content coins. I was doing just a touch of
research on this. And it's kind of ridiculous. You mentioned Frentech KB, and that is kind of similar insofar as there are crazy in and out fees on these Zora
coins, right? So there's a 3% fee on every coin that flows into a Uniswap V4 pool of all of these
tokens. So 3%, that is so crazy. It's so high. And 1% goes to the creator, 1% goes to Zora, and 1% goes to the
liquidity pool, which does, you know, build up the liquidity pool over time. But again, like,
3% one is so high, like, that's just a ton of money, you're losing 3%. So you have to make,
you know, like more than I mean, not that you're going to trade these for a 3% gain.
You think they're going to go parabolic if you're going to if you're going to buy it.
But but it does feel I mean, like I respect the flywheel grind set that you're like trying to build something that like can last and be sustainable.
But you're just getting kind of bled out like any time you're trading these coins.
kind of bled out like anytime you're trading these coins and it doesn't feel like i don't know if
there's a way to like align incentives between creators the audience and the platform that
doesn't feel i'm kind of starting to hate this word but like extractive is kind of the word
but i don't know if this is it yet but i will i have to give zora some credit for the pioneering.
It feels like maybe a right idea or close to something that is or could be interesting, but is just not implemented yet in the right way.
I don't know.
Do you have any?
I don't know if you have any thoughts there, KB, or even like how does this in your mind compare to a, say like a fractionalized NFT or like even the kind of like PumpFun streamer tokens say, hey, Gainsey is streaming on pump.
Not that you would buy this token now because Gainsey is getting like 40 viewers.
But like, and you're like, I'm bullish.
I'm going to speculate on this long term, like Rasmur.
I'm going to, I'm going to buy Rasmur coin, which is not a thought I can imagine ever entering my mind.
But, but, you know, like if there was some way to like speculate on say thread guy and
say like i'm bullish on his long-term adoption like maybe that is not the most insane thing
to almost have this like aligned upside with a content creator that you're that you're bullish
on i don't know just what are you what is your read on that yeah Yeah, I think on the content pump, right, like the streaming coins,
I feel like it's a little better because it's only one coin per streamer, right?
So you could stream off that same coin every time, right, basically.
And with Zora, it's every piece of content you put out there and so it has me kind
of like wondering like you know from just you know we know elon's like very much a part of like
crypto and the blockchain he probably hasn't all fucking just you know running around and like what
it like i'm curious as to like what he's thinking right now, because like, what if he got on there? He wouldn't. What if he turns Twitter into something similar? What if, like, you know, this becomes successful in some weird world? And then we kind of see this on like, Twitter, I don't think that's going to happen. But those are the things that I'm essentially thinking about if like this is the new wave but um but i just think it's going to fizzle out because like you said the only way
for these creators to like really make money besides the pool is to especially if you're a
small creator is to dump on your followers unless you don't care about money and you're just letting
your followers make money and then they're always going to be buying your content right that could be essentially a play you could do a long
game and then your biggest posts just dump on everybody right yeah um but like the second that
people start losing money they're out they don't want to they don't want to go back like that's why
we haven't you know that's why crypto is still seen as a scam because, you know, people lost a lot of money after that, like 2021 bull run with like the, you know, with Doge and Shiba Inu pumping and dumping with FTX crashing.
Right. Like the second people lose their life savings or they just lose money, like they don't have money to lose at this point like we're in a very
delicate you know um time in society with financials and you know low wages and you know
a housing crisis that people really can't afford that and being in crypto and being able to trade
these things at the end of the day is a luxury but not everybody has so you're kind of turning the you know these social
media things into you know okay you can make money but you can also lose money and I think at the end
of the day there's going to be more creators trying to make that money than there's going to be
essentially um you know consumers buying these tokens that have zero worth besides a person.
But I did post to the top, like Jack Butcher, you know, he's like, I did not intend to activate a sort of coin. And it happens when you automatically log into the iOS app, which is a bit mental.
And so, you know, he definitely warns people about it.
And he doesn't know if he's going to, you know, pump the coin or not.
But I could see it being a problem for a lot of people.
Yeah, no, for sure.
And I mean, the interesting thing is
like that is how it worked out for Jack. But I mean, his coin is doing super well, like
unintentionally. I think I checked this morning and it has like an eight, it had like an eight
and a half million dollar market cap or something like that, which I can only imagine feels kind of
wild. And if there's somebody that you trust, I think,
to be somewhat like principled or diligent about how they're going to go about
stewarding whatever allocation or otherwise it is,
it would probably be Jack Butcher because he seems like a long-term person in the space.
And I can see a world where you don't feel terrible about him, quote unquote, dumping on you or selling part of his allocation
to make some money because it's hard to be an artist in crypto. I've thought for a long time
that, okay, and this is an interesting direction. We've touched on this before, but I like the idea,
I think, of tipping. I? Like, I think it would
be cool if you could tip people natively on Twitter. This is something that existed on
Farcaster with the initial DGEN wave. It probably still does. There's more people that are working
on it. There's one, there's a project called Noise that I think is on the base app now,
that I think is on the base app now as well, which has like native USDC tipping for base apps.
And I've always thought it would be cool if you had something like Reddit Gold, which obviously is very Reddit.
And I'm aware of that. But like I could see myself loading up.
Let's just say it was Doge, right? Because Doge is like a fun currency.
You don't really think about it as something that has like staying power or whatever it is, or kind of,
but like you could have like, okay, let's just say Doge is like 20 cents. You could load up like
a thousand Doge. That's like $200 or maybe a hundred bucks, right? Worth of Doge. And I could
see like, if I saw a really funny Sherlock Hottles banger, he just is my go-to because he's funny.
Or if intern had a really good post or if I learned something from a Toons long post, not that that would ever happen.
Just kidding, Toons.
But or if I just saw something interesting from like a creator or like somebody who like went viral from the crypto community where like people saw it and it was interesting i could see kicking
them you know like 50 doge or like 20 doge even just like 50 cents or like a dollar and that kind
of like stacking up right and just kind of having this like tipping mechanism um but i don't really
know how much people would use it i almost think that like badges are the way that reddit has done
their like gold or different awards where it's sort of abstracted. It's almost like TikTok where you like give people
a banana or something like that, you know, that have like different monetary values and everything.
I feel like that could work for Twitter, but I don't know if that necessarily is like solving
the problem. But it does feel like crypto is one of these things where like if you did just integrate it into Twitter where crypto does live, I feel like people would use it.
I just don't know where you would send it.
But like I feel like people are generous and they want to support creators, but they're probably not going to like do a subscription for like a Twitter account because nobody's figured out how to do that.
going to like do a subscription for like a Twitter account because nobody's figured out how to do
that well nobody's figured out how to um yeah just like support creators like in the right way and
it's not really something where I'm gonna like go and become like an inverse bra or an inverse bra
um yeah like long-term subscriber but I might kick him some money for something that I thought was funny, you know? So I don't know. Any, any thoughts there?
Also, Yo-Jungi.
I think, I think tipping is, I mean, like, because abstract does like creator tipping,
right? For streamers. And I feel like that's really popular within like the streamer community
on abstract and probably one of like, it know i've been on it you know cat
five uh you know he he switched over from monad to abstract we lost him but it's because it's
because it's fun right it's fun for him he's a dj he streams he says that if monad has some type
of streamer program when he gets tipped he would join he would come he would do it so i think for for you know
creators that is a fun it's more fun and you could kind of gamify it he would essentially be like
oh like i'm gonna give away a thousand pingu to everybody who tips me tonight so from the tipping
pool he'll donate a thousand of the pingu to you know, the people give it back to his, you know, his
tippers. And so, you know, it's a fun, it's a fun way to use the chain, where you're voluntarily
giving money, and you're not losing it, you know? Yeah. Yeah, it just feels like it would have to
come. There's been a lot of work that's been done with like Twitter bots and stuff like that.
Um, there's been a lot of work that's been done with like Twitter bots and stuff like that.
And I feel like it all just feels ephemeral because there's not a direct integration.
And it does seem like X has been trending here for some time.
Like they've had this like X payments account live for a long time that hasn't had any developments.
We've heard that they've applied for like money processor, like transfer licenses.
And we know that Elon wants
to build an everything app, how they go about the actual like distribution and like thinking about
that. I mean, Twitter notifications like have not been working like basically this entire week.
So you're kind of like, do I really want to like trust Elon with like some, any amount of my bank
account? Like you don't, it's not not super confidence inspiring but maybe if you had like
yeah non-custodial wallet or something like that that you could set up you would feel some
peace about it and just be able to ping with like one click of a button and there's just something
about like tagging a twitter bot or whatever to like send money from like an abstracted account
that is your wallet to someone else that doesn't feel as natural as like clicking like a native
tipping button but uh but yeah i don't know we might just be stretching this but there is some
there's definitely something there and there is a real perceived and real need
to support creators better it's just like how does this kind of all get figured out and i think that
maybe like unsettling thing is just it is kind of shocking is not the right word but like base is
just pushing the content coins thing really hard right like and and in some ways it's working right
like zora had a crazy run-up i think they got to a billion dollar market cap.
It's sitting somewhere on the order of like 750 to 800 mil.
That might be the FDV right now.
So it's had a crazy pump, a crazy run up, which I think for the longest time, people
did not think was going to be a thing.
A lot of people discovered that Mr. Beast was a angel investor in Zora back in like 2023 or something like that, like quite a long time ago.
But they were like, what if Mr. Beast launched a content coin and he like that would give this crazy distribution, which it probably would.
Like what? I mean, I don't know if it would run to the numbers that some people have been speculating at.
But there's something. yeah, there's something
I just don't feel like it's been dialed in yet, but it is a bit jarring to like see the
team just like shilling a project or like a type of new coin or a type of new product
that is not directly theirs, but that they see so like clearly apparently is going to
be like this new meta.
And they think that it's going to onboard
retail but i feel like the most it is almost like too honest of like an onboarding of like what
crypto is to be like encouraging people to come and like create content and buy content coins
in a way where like the only profit mechanism, or not the only,
but the most clear profit mechanism is dumping on people, right?
That just feels a little too on the nose of like what we've been doing in crypto for the longest time.
And I don't know, it's a little discouraging, but you do hope that there will be more real use cases
that could come around all of this
stuff but uh but yeah i don't know i don't know we've got we've got some friends up here now um
some that have been here um from the jump oh yo what's up ninja hey guys how you doing good good
man are you are you content coin bull feel free give us your give us your thoughts what do you think um the approach
to it now i don't like especially with like the whole zora thing like that caught me for a surprise
like i've kind of been like sidelined on those but i definitely heard about the jack butcher thing
like the fact that you can accidentally launch your own coin and it's built into the system just by logging into an app is actually
mental. And I know like obviously things are like as far as legality things are loosening up a bit,
but it still could run into potential problems in the future, especially given whatever country it
is that you're in. yeah feel for those guys and
like they get nothing out of it like the only way they make money like you guys were saying is like
if they dump their own coin which like is bad for like probably their their uh brand because like
people aren't going to be happy about them dumping on like their supporters and then because um like
when you were talking about like content something i thought about recently was um i don't know uh
do you follow phase clan and like phase banks i mean like only like peripherally like just kind
of in like the way of like whatever bleeds onto the timeline which has been pretty brutal this week
yeah so i don't know if you saw it but like he just
he recently stepped down from phase because of the backlash from mlg and how much he was pushing mlg
for it to like end up tanking yeah yeah so i mean do you know any more of the so is the story there that Banks was basically shilling MLG,
but dumping, or he just was pushing it too hard?
I don't know.
As far as him dumping and selling,
there hasn't been full-on confirmation on that.
But he went on Aiden Ross's stream on Kik
and pretty much was showing him how
to buy it he had him buy it on stream and then like I think even the same day or the day after
um like it dumped like it was dumping a lot and people were like joking, like it was like Frank to God's dumping on him too.
So yeah, that was kind of crazy.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, it all just kind of feels so like brain numbingly stupid that like you almost don't want to like dig into it to like get the full story.
But I mean, I'm sure there's something there.
I mean, it definitely is like the I mean yeah no this i mean yeah kb like
you've been a big banks fan for like a long time like i know oh my gosh shut the fuck up
okay i'm not i'm not a banks fan please um but i do i mean unfortunately the drama follows
timeline yeah um but yeah i know it was that infamous you know orangey we're just getting started bro
and they convinced aiden to dump his eath at the absolute bottom i think ethereum was like 1800
and they told him to dump his eath you know allocate to bitcoin but to like put a bunch into
mlg which is about 50k um and then it started dumping
and so like you know we don't know what happened they're saying that frank was dumping on stream
that banks was dumping and you know like i guess the relationship has fizzled since then
but honestly hold on there's a oh is that charles hosican on his uh black hawk uh helicopter i
think so um anyways sorry if you can hear that such a helicopter flying over me um but yeah so
essentially i don't know man the drama has for whatever reason revisited the timeline i think that didn't his face thing isn't there
like a public stock now i think he's just trying to create drama on the timeline to stay relevant
uh right now you know in crypto on the timeline or whatever and so they're essentially revisiting
this like oh my relationship is like ruined i'm leaving the face house
but like aiden just bought like a 10 million dollar home or something like are we really
convinced that he's worried about 50k on some meme coin you know i'm saying like are you that poor
that you're worried about 50k like i've lost 50k and like i'm not rich and i'm like all
right chalk it up to the game like are we really that upset or is this just like a publicity stunt
to stay relevant on the timeline that's that's my take on it yeah no i mean there are just so many insane valuations and like crazy assets i mean yeah like cape you mentioned uh
i think that there is some like i think that the distressing thing about the content coins
at the end of the day is that they're just kind of like reinforcing the negative stereotypes
about crypto and i feel like that's why we all kind of cling
to stable coins so tightly is because it is like the first and best non speculative crypto use
case that we have, which I hope more come like there is the idea of like borrow lend for the
world that could be like really maybe helpful and interesting to like help people facilitate
loans or stuff like that that don't have access to it and other things. But still,
that's like kind of a scary proposition because no one's really figured out how to do borrow
land, especially in an uncollateralized way that is like safe and not going to wreck people and
also wreck the companies that are offering them. I mean, like, there's just so much, like, for instance, so it's interesting,
I don't know if you guys saw, but so Brian Armstrong went on a podcast, he's kind of doing
like, it seems like a circuit of podcasts right now, probably for the base app, which he does
talk about a lot in the podcast, but he went on the Sean Ryan show, which is actually a podcast
I really enjoy. It's this guy, he's a former Navy
SEAL. He's kind of like a Jocko type dude. And he's really blown up. He had, I don't know about
Trump, but I think he definitely had J.D. Vance on during the election cycle. He has a ton,
a ton of viewers. And normally he's interviewed ex-military guys, but he started branching
out into tech and more kind of like cultural touchstone type interviews. And he had Charles
Hoskinson on like a week or two ago. And he's talking to Brian Armstrong and he's like asking
him about Bitcoin. It is actually an instructive interview. And so the one with Brian Armstrong,
insofar as Sean Ryan basically asks the same questions that my father and mother-in-law
like asked me about Bitcoin or about like crypto in general. Like who made it? Like,
I thought this was like for privacy. Like, is it a good medium of exchange? Like all of these
things that are, and they're all like really good questions. And like, what happens when all of the
Bitcoin gets mined? Like, what do you do then? And Brian Armstrong does like really good questions. And like, what happens when all of the Bitcoin gets mined?
Like, what do you do then?
And Brian Armstrong does a pretty good job of defending the thesis.
You know, I'm not the biggest fan of Coinbase, but I do think that they probably are net
net like good for the space in terms of just like creating some sort of like positive
association with it.
But Sean Ryan is talking to Brian Armstrong about this stuff.
And he's like, yeah, I mean, Charles Hoskins hoskinson you know he's like so tell me about like some of the other coins like
uh like you know ethereum and ada and solana and you're like oh dude it's like just to just to even
put cardano like in the same conversation as those is just so depressing it's like so discouraging
and he calls charles hoskinson like an awesome human
being and like stuff like that where this guy is literally like selling like a lemon like he's
selling like a blockchain that does not work but is valued in like the multi-billions it is just
kind of so crazy and uh and discouraging and brian not, at least I'm like three quarters of the way
through the podcast, take any shots at Charles, but I can only imagine what he actually thinks.
And so, yeah, they're just really, the best use case that's come out of crypto thus far is like
trading coins because people think that number will go up in the long term. And I think that
we just need to continue to lean into the ways that crypto can actually make the world better.
And I hope that Monad will be a function of that, a part of that in the ways that we go about.
Yeah, just like building up the space further.
And it's not that number go up is like a bad thing per se.
a bad thing per se it's just that we um you know like have a lot of room to go in terms of like
finding ways to actually like improve people's lives that are not just gambling and this content
coin thing just feels like an extension of gambling on people's content that they put out
when we actually like what we're actually looking for is not gambling on like a really good podcast
that i like or or a piece of art or whatever it. I want to just like buy it to support it. Like it, like maybe I'm just
stupid and to trying to like overlook. No, but I don't actually, I have these, you know, strong
principles and ethics and like, there's something that does feel different about like buying a
fractionalized piece of Jack Butcher's art because I
like it. And I think maybe there's a part of that where it'll go up over time and value.
But like I'm genuinely doing it because I like it and I want to own a piece of it.
Whereas like owning a content coin does not seem to be the same thing in that regard.
And I actually think that a better way of going about this that it
does kind of remind me of is I did an interview with CryptoPath, like path.eth, who's a really
good guy, OG in the space, is actually kind of like doomard about crypto lately from everything
I've seen. But they were doing this thing that you guys have probably heard about, which was like
the dog coin where they've like fractionalized
the original Doge meme and they like give some percentage of the supply and the profits that
they generate from it back to the actual creators of it. They called, they had a name for it. I'm
trying to remember what they, um, what they were. This is bad that I can't remember off the top of
my head. Oh, provenance. They call them provenance coins, provenance coins, which feels like a real thing. And so they were trying to like go out and like
find the people who actually took the meme of, you know, a funny dog or a kid and like get them
looped into like the allocation process and then literally buy that piece of art for them
through like an auction that determined the fair value of it, then
fractionalize it, then give people the ability to speculate in like the long term value of
it over the course of time.
But you can say, you know, I own one millionth of like the original Doge meme in some like
credible way that you know that you're supporting the original creator.
And they've been like taken care of and they're profiting off of
the coin in a way that feels like holistic even if you're going to like sell it it's not like
you're dumping on them they've gotten some allocation of it and i think received some
portion of the the trading fees or the revenue or whatever it is so yeah okay kind of a schizo rant
but it just this is not a solved problem. Content coins are getting after something that does need to be could be explored and is like a problem for society.
Like especially in a world where like we think that AI might take away more menial labor jobs and open people up to being able to create something.
I read a post that said something like 60 or 70 percent of Gen Z would think of themselves as like a content creator, which both feels like,
oh my gosh, we're doomed, but also just kind of like the natural extension of like kind of seeing
your life as a movie. And I say that as someone who like kind of for my job is a content creator,
right? Like, so that kind of has become a thing for me, but not everyone is good at it.
Not everyone can be a content creator.
Not that I'm better than anyone or anything, but just that it is a hard road to actually
get distribution and get people to like your stuff.
Yeah, man, we're in the trenches right now.
We're trying to figure stuff out.
I don't know.
We can move on to another topic of conversation here.
But anything from Diego, Chaos, Jungi, Jay, feel free to jump in, guys.
I don't know if you guys have any strong thoughts here.
Jungi, no thoughts.
I don't know.
Let's say hi first.
Nice to be here. No no i agree with you not everyone can be a content creator uh i agree you're not like the best one but i'm sure because like uh it is
a gen z thing and everyone tries to to do something because they spend so much time in, you know, socials like TikTok, Twitter and stuff like that.
You know, like at least my algo on TikTok is mostly Greek.
You know, I see the Greek rappers, the Greek streamers
and stuff like that.
They're actually doing like pretty well compared to how things were
like two years ago.
So I can see this like growing a lot and
especially in web3 area um yeah maybe we will see in the future yeah
yeah no right on no no i agree junkie is becoming junkie is going to try to become like the food network of Monad.
We're getting the food post from Jungi.
Jungi, please, I know you probably are enjoying it, but I like the food posts.
Like, keep them coming.
Is this real?
This is not a meme.
Like, you're actually making this stuff?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, Friday night I baked a loaf of brioche.
And then...
All right.
And then I think Saturday I poached some peaches
and I made like five different meals around bread and peaches.
Pretty good.
I still have two peaches left.
Are you just self-taught, Jungi?
Are you a chef or cook for work?
No, I'm not a chef.
I pretty much just eat everything I make myself.
It's because he lives in Canada and they don't have restaurants up there.
Yeah, we just have Tim Hortons.
Yeah, it's my main hobby, i guess is like cooking and mainly baking um but it's a good
way to get really fat so i only do it half the year and then the other half of the year i like
lock in and yeah jung is pretty fat he's fat and he's fat and short honestly next time you see me
like if there's a mainnet party in like late sept October, November at some point, I'll be like 15.
Yeah, I know, Jungi, my wife is a baker.
She likes to cook.
She loves to bake, which is an awesome characteristic in a wife, except if you want to be slim and fit.
And that is my goal i've i've been i've been in the
gym but uh but i have to tell my wife like no like do not bake cookies tonight like i see because my
switch this is kind of how i am with buying coins as well is like i'm either going all in or i'm all
out like i'm not going to just like i I can't like DCA into some cookies,
right? Like I'm not going to just eat like two or three, I'm going to eat like 10, you know? So
like, this is not going to work if I, if you want me to be, you know, the, if I, if I want to look
like intern someday, I've got to dial this in. Like you can't just be making chocolate fudge
for some vanilla ice cream once a week that is just sitting in my fridge and
how am i supposed to have the self-control to hold myself back from that same when i see you know
chill house it's like this is just the same problem like i just am going to need to buy this
has to be a part of my life i can't resist so that's just a personal problem but uh but i support
the food and dude it's junkie.
You should stream it.
You should stream making.
Well, OK, so so I did pitch to tunes yesterday that.
So I do have a flag football team.
We're undefeated, although yesterday we did tie for the first time.
so that was kind of a bummer um but i yeah i asked tunes if he wanted uh to get my flag football
So that was kind of a bummer.
team sponsored by monad and he could ship me out some meta ray-bans so i could do uh like pov
football streams and then i could also do pov cooking streams but uh he threatened me with
like an airstrike on my house so i think that was a no
man i really hope i don't know of any i don't does anyone know of any live streaming platforms
that are being built on monad like i i would 100 stream on monad like that would actually be really
fun uh what's about so down that oh yeah yeah that's like gaming right yeah no yeah that
connects but that connects to twitch i guess so you could stream on over to twitch or something
and then just use the platform i guess what's up dudes sorry i didn't say hi before yo diego
hi diego diego you got the switchboard badge let's go dude oh yeah yeah it's been a while though are you are you working
you're just affiliating that i'm just i'm just a friend of the brand yeah i've been there for a
while so that's awesome very cool man good stuff see that is like the power of like affiliates
because i don't know a ton about switchboard We've worked with them just a little bit, but they have Melo and Diego.
So I'm just like, I love Switchboard.
Like, this is just like my favorite Oracle.
Yeah, it's a nice place.
It's a great product though.
We're just launching a new thing.
Well, I don't work there, but it's called The Surge.
That it's under 100 millisecond. Which is latency, right?
I'm not chilling anything.
I'm just telling what's new out there.
Nice, nice.
How's it going, man?
I don't see anything.
Just saying, hi, Darker.
You have a question?
What's up, brother?
Yes, bro. I have a question what's up brother yes bro i have a question hello oh i can hear a motorcycle in the background too
so i went create a contract then after liquidity getting back to 10 mon minus y sir can you explain sorry dude did not understand you what was the question
yeah my question is uh when i create coin then i put liquidity like 40 50 month then I will get back my coins then
Why hunt 10 coins will minus from my
liquidity? It's my question. Can you answer this?
Um, we do have a channel on the discord, um that you can ask these questions. Yeah
that you can ask these questions yeah i would drop them yeah yeah you go go to the discord
and there is um you can put it under maybe uh club uh bugs possibly and we have some devs in there
let's report bugs i would put in report bugs we have some devs in there that can answer those questions for you.
Thanks, and I appreciate that I earned almost 1K month from Kuru.
Thanks for it.
Thanks for your service.
That's awesome.
You're welcome for our service.
I need people to start saying that to me. They're like, hey, you work for Kuru.
Thank you for your service.
Like, you're welcome.
Yeah, I have a complaint about the service.
So I launched Gobble.
And I think I burned over a thousand mon worth of liquidity.
Oh, my goodness.
What happened?
Did he rug?
That's crazy.
Oh, my gosh.
The Royal Mounties just busted down Jie's door for for speculating on
cryptocurrency there's they just junkie just got swatted well oh my god did you see oh i'm sorry
did you see the fake soul jakey base house uh swat with 63 viewers that was embarrassing it was fake of course it was fake
dang but this is a this is like the second time he does the the same the first time it was it was
exactly the same that was the most hilarious thing because we were kind of like wait he's doing like
he's repeating his repeating content because yeah i think last year he wasn't
like in i don't know in a room or something and it happened the same the swap came and
so i didn't i didn't expect like he was gonna have like the same team today this week
i bet that is a man like that is so true though like imagine you're watching soul jakey's stream it has 63 viewers
if you're one of the 63 viewers i mean look there's probably like 40 or 50 bots there's
like 10 people that are like organic human beings watching that if you're watching a soul jakey
stream you are like an og like you you must love soul jakey so like you are like an OG. Like, you must love Souljakey.
So, like, you're like, oh, he's just, like, running back the playbook here.
This is crazy.
You're like, I've seen this episode before.
Dude, that's so funny. Like, imagine being like, oh, Souljakey got swatted.
Like, let me tune in and just see him like sitting on the floor with like his his
hands on his head this is great this is great content this is and then gg um but i don't even
want to hear kb's thoughts on gg but uh but she tweets from the airport hello yo man what Yo, man. So what was Diego saying?
No, no, no.
I was just joking around.
I was saying, I'm the founder of Dump, and I have to thank you guys for your services, because it's been doing amazing for us.
Dude, I'm excited for...
Dump on top.
Dump on top.
Dump on top.
It's a great ticker, man.
Dump on top dump on top it's a great ticker man down on top of everyone like dude you guys
actually need to like meme dump as like the anti-pump like or something like that that the
the ticker is just too good man it's unreal and you probably i think that the anago dump
is like a great origin story but you've got to just lean into the overarching meta, the dump meta.
I think there's something there.
It could go way further.
Yeah, I agree, dude.
It can actually become such a big movement.
You really need to push it and make it a movement.
Yeah, you need to make it a
bow movement, Diego.
That's the goal
oh okay I hate you guys I'm just imagining like Diego some days like walking around
Diego I don't know where you're from you're walking around your your hometown you have like
a mansion like up on uh up on like the hillside and you're like very you're mysterious guy and
like you've got like a full you're wearing like a full tuxedo you're like the hillside and you're like very you're mysterious guy and like you've got
like a full you're wearing like a full tuxedo you're like out on the town you've got like a
vodka martini like shaken not stirred and they're like wow what did he who is he they're like that's
go he's the founder of dump he created he created the multi-billion dollar dump token he's also a he's also a switchboard
that's cool dude hey yeah can i sell my shares on uh on dump coin now uh before it's a multi-billion
uh company no don't sell anything we're not we're not selling anything dude you're you're yeah you're i mean i'm right right now uh i can't sell everything
yeah actually actually you know what you got uh chaos is the is the one who deployed the coin
like you were on the phone like we were doing it all together but he was actually the one he's the
one holding all of it okay i'm holding so every dump holder should be feeling very nice right now.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, it's crazy.
It's water chaos.
What happened?
What happened?
It is crazy.
I just saw how much mon do I hold.
How much mon is your dump worth right now?
now uh 1.4k and just just so you know uh we lost around 600 to 700 mon when we launched it due to
the you know we could we wouldn't be able to provide liquidity so some sniper bots uh took
the coin first so me and dieko were trying for like i don't know an hour to take them out and
were trying for like i don't know an hour to take them out and how much were the last like we were
holding like 50 mon and those 50 mon went to 1.4k what do you mean you have 1.4k i think it should be
a lot more dude no no bro we started like very low i can sell now all the supply for 1.39k really okay but we started for like how much we bought we bought like
50 mon 100 more yeah i don't remember it was a long time ago it's on chain it's on chain everything
is on chain and you can see that i haven't sold not even one more dang well that's pretty that's
pretty epic chaos you're a developer now you're dev. You should put that on your resume.
Yeah, I will put I'm a co-founder of DumpCoin,
the best chart in correct chains.
No plans for mainnet yet.
And yeah, maybe, you know,
like now it's a chance to onboard Zangi as well
because he's a very good asset
and i'm trying to get him for a long time but he's on coinbase and he he asked for a lot you
know he asked for a lot i mean it's kind of natural right like he makes food dump coin is
food once was food there's there's some connections there i I don't know, Junkie. You might be able to build this as a part of your brand.
He's also a dog, dude.
So, Enago's, yeah.
Enago is a dog.
It's a dog.
You are a dog.
Junkie's a dog.
I'm a dog.
I'm sorry about the mod that you guys lost.
Sweet, guys.
We are still, we have plans there will be feature parity with the kuguru launch function
with um you know like pump fun and things like that with um the ability to like buy some portion
of the or allocate a portion of the supply there's just been a lot of things going on no excuses we
do have some excuses right now but we've been redesigning the entire app.
And so we just launched the swap page front end yesterday, which is really exciting.
Feel good about where that's standing.
And then I think it's fair to share that the entire rest of the app, too, is also getting a makeover.
So the markets page will be looking different.
All of ProMode will get a
facelift, including the tabs to click into coins. Launch will be getting upgraded. Portfolio, all of
these things. So our new designer is working on it. And yeah, no, we are. We're excited about that.
Kosis, I forgot to DM you back,
but I haven't got my dump club monster.
I don't know if it's possible now.
Yeah, it is possible.
Same thing.
I'm sorry, guys.
There's something funky about dropping to specific addresses,
but let me talk to Arun.
He's our backend guy who's been working on that.
I definitely texted him about it, but I don't know if it got redropped, Let me talk to Arun. He's our back-end guy who's been working on that.
I definitely texted him about it, but I don't know if it got redropped. So I will work on it to make that happen.
Yeah, for sure.
Dude, congrats on the revamp because it looks amazing.
I saw the swap yesterday.
And yeah, dude, bring it on to the whole app.
That's awesome.
No, I know that's something that Frivashi has talked about and we've all
felt for some time now. It's like we
announced the raise
and everything, which we're excited about, but the testnet
version of the app was still very raw.
Definitely like a beta version,
right? And so we've been
just trying to make it a product
that is not only like worthy
the backing that we've gotten,
but that is ready for the NAS when we get to mainnet.
So we're definitely, there's going to be a lot of changes coming.
And I mean, I've been teasing this for some time, but just like more features that are
launching.
That was one of the things that I woke up to this morning was like, hey, we need to
come up with a name for this new feature that we're launching that has like a really cool,
yeah, just like added bonus to the the
product that we'll be rolling out just in the effort to make Kuru the best
place to trade on Monad so we're really dialed in on that and yeah we'll just
keep keep shipping so excited for that what's up for Kuru how's it going bro
yeah I just wanted to say that I held like 40k Mon in KOL and so to support dump coin I can dump everything on my holders
so as a true dev to support my friend K.O.S.
What do you think? You can send me the KOL coins and I will dump them by dump.
It's better. That is like a public service. Vakru, you just got... Vakru just got Mon, I think.
Is that real?
No, but didn't you just get the Mon role?
Of course not, bro.
I haven't got another role, bro.
Never mind.
Maybe I read...
I must have read a shit book.
I don't know.
There's so much...
The misinformation is kind of crazy.
And like the airdrop stuff, I...
Guys, I know some people are really in the trenches with this stuff.
But it pops onto my timeline because I follow a lot of nads now.
And I'm glad to.
There's a lot of good content.
But the misinformation is really just, that's not my favorite content.
Yeah, I think in order to change change that we need to give some good information
um I think I can share now that Kuru will drop only dump holders and yeah I mean it's your time
to go and buy a huge supply of dump it will be no right on dump is like one of our like launch
partners that would be that would be incredible oh man wow
yeah no i'm glad the mob the club stuff we've got a fun um we've got a fun activation coming
in about a week and a half here too that kb and i are cooking on so this will be this will be not
like mob the club 2.0 but it'll be something to get the entire community engaged and involved. And that
is going to be a fun week and a half or so that we are going to run. So I hope you guys stay tuned
for that. And I actually am super excited about Mainnet very soon. We've got the Monit Mainnet
client in audit right now, which is super exciting. And hopefully we get some uh some good news here in the next few
months i'm pretty confident that uh that we will so that'll be awesome to see you know we could do
some other news we have i mean like there's not really anything else it's like groundbreaking
right like we yeah dude the the monad bft was launched yesterday to testnet 2 that's amazing
actually that's a consensus mechanism. That's right.
No, for sure.
Monad BFT going live on testnet2.
I think it was a seamless upgrade.
So that's really exciting to see.
There was definitely some alpha leak
that was in that Keone video
that came from the pipeline
and on YouTube where he was talking
about some of the features
that need to come into place
before mainnet will go live. And Monad bft going live is definitely one of those that
is a big step in the right direction um you've got stuff like raptor cast i was talking to a guy who
on saturday is like a friend of mine in real life and he is one of the only people that i know that
is actually like interested in crypto and he's literally like a dev like he's a software engineer
for his job and he asked me what monad's technical moat was which is probably the most like flustered or like
flabbergasted that i've been trying to answer a question in some time i just am like oh dude uh
monad bft they redesigned the database and uh they've built the chain from the ground up. Not exactly my strong suit. I'm getting
there, but yeah, no, man. It's exciting to see this stuff come live and into fruition here.
Yeah. I don't know. KB, I don't feel like we need to go super deep into other news. There's not a
whole lot that was super interesting. Hyperliquid went down for like 30 minutes yesterday their api access was lost i don't think it's like super interesting if only
because it's a function of a lot of usage of the protocol right so like i don't think we can be
super i mean there's reasons to maybe like not like hyperliquid or be bearish on them but i don't
think we should freak out about it if a lot of people are using the app you're happy to have
some downtime i feel like at the end of the day.
Galaxy dumped 9 billion Bitcoin.
This is just the funny thing.
Galaxy executed a transaction selling 9 billion Bitcoin, not just because they hate Bitcoin, but they were doing it for a client, I believe.
And so that's a lot of Bitcoin that got sold last week. And we just stayed in this like 115 to 120 range.
And then Saylor bought like 21,000
Bitcoin. And we just still stayed at like 117. I think that all of this is really just proof that
Bitcoin is becoming like a mature trad fi in some ways adopted asset that has less volatility and
is just holding steady. I mean, it doesn't mean that there won't be bigger
dumps or bigger pumps from here, but we're just kind of in a bit of a holding pattern. So there's
not a ton of crazy stuff. Let me look back at our notes to see if we've got anything else that was
wild to talk about. But I think that for the most part, that's really all we've got going.
I don't know if there's any highlights from the Mon-Ed community
or otherwise that have been going on.
But yeah, I think we're kind of sitting pretty cavey.
Yeah, I think we're good.
We've covered a lot of topics, or not a lot,
but went really in-depth with a few topics.
I think the other topic I want to talk about is Vic Cruz fucking Spider-Man cosplay.
I don't know what that is.
That one's definitely the scariest I've seen so far.
Impressive, yet terrifying.
Explain what it is.
So, I made this legs.
It's like sticks and bottles and paper.
Then this like S of the Spider-Man, it's like, you know, like this place where you can sit,
like very fluffy and that's it.
So it's, it's artwork, you know, maybe a bit weird, but it's artwork,
I like how everyone was, like, pinpointing the, like, the rip
in your butt and, like,
showing your boxes.
Yeah, it's because, you know, I wear this,
like, costume since, like,
Malandak cosplay already, like, three, four months.
And yes, my, like,
costume a bit, like, you know, it's a bit old.
So yeah, there are some holes like, you know.
You have a new fan.
My son is now your like new fan.
He literally came to me like, I think he was last week and he was like,
mommy, mommy mommy he's like
15 and a half so he came to me and he said like mom mom I wanna I wanna I have an idea for you
so you can do content for Mona and I was like oh what is your idea he said like mom look you can't
you get out out of the apartment and you pretend that you're coming to the apartment but when you open the door I can be
with a huge Molanda costume in the living room and I can scare you he was like I can do something
like that so you can record and I was like wait a minute let me show you something so I went to
Bikret's like account and I showed their page and I showed all the things you're doing he was like
oh my god he was like wow he was like
like you're the best and like like oh he has the same idea you see we're cool people he was like
just excited because he literally had the idea but he he i never showed like nothing about like
crypto things but i talked to him about like a lot so when he said that i said like that's big
credit i have to show to be. I think this is really cool.
And for me, it's a pleasure to hear it.
So, yeah, I think he should try, like, to do this cosplay.
Maybe we can do, like, a collaboration.
Like, I really love this.
It could be really funny.
Imagine Krita wake up one day and see her your kids being like a spider moon and mulanda
next to me my room i will die this is so real though kirito that's so funny i have a um i have
a mon adverse shirt that i got it's actually a really nice shirt that the mon adverse team gave
um i think kb got one too at east denver and it has like all the little characters so it
has like milandak moosh mooyaki salmanad all the guys are kind of like hanging out around the mon
adverse logo and there's like little green bushes and everything i do not think it's my wife's
favorite shirt that i own because i kind of look like i'm like a 12 year old boy um when i wear it
but my kids love it and so I put it on and they just point
at my shirt and my son who's two and a half, he just says, guys, guys, like he just points to
them. And my one and a half year old daughter just like loves pointing at the characters.
And I'll try to get my son to say, I'll be like, yeah, like, uh, Hey, yeah, buddy. That's, uh,
that's Milan doc. And he's like, momandak and I'm like nice dude
this is how we onboard
the next billion users to
crypto right here man it starts
at home it takes a village to build a
blockchain man but
I got a question do you know what happened with the Fed
meeting today because I kind of I was in
spaces and I missed it
oh that's a good question
it happened like an hour ago hold on let me check I was in his phases and I missed it. Oh, that's a good question.
Did it get it?
It happened like an hour ago.
Let me check.
Oh, Fed said to hold rates steady again,
despite Trump's demands.
So yeah, it's pretty much nothing happened.
Okay, right on.
It looks like that's expected to happen. I think the FOMC typically happens in the early afternoon. So I don't know if it's happened yet, but maybe they put out guidance this morning. I'm not actually sure. Yeah, no, that's like decision comes, it looks like at 2.30. Apparently from Cointelegraph, the White House will release its first crypto policy report,
which I'm sure will come on the heels of genius getting passed.
That'll be interesting.
If you haven't looked into the Clarity Act yet, I do encourage you guys to go.
Honestly, you can just like fire up ChatGPT and like ask you some questions.
It's really interesting.
It's a market structure bill that will come. There was a really good podcast from the chopping block, which is hosted
on Unchained that came out, I think last week or the week before with Rebecca Reddick, who's the
chief legal officer for Gito on Solana, but she's just super well knowledgeable about all of the
just kind of like developments that are in the legal space. And so they broke down genius and
also talked about what's contained in clarity, which as a market structure bill will hopefully
create some rules of the road for token classification and like what is the security,
what isn't, like what does a token have to do to become, basically like have a pathway to like
being kind of legalized and recognized in the United States. It'll have a lot of stuff for
like disclosures that'll be required of crypto projects that
have to be provided to make them like investable and like make sure that the public is informed.
I think there's a lot of positive stuff there, but there's definitely going to be some
changes in terms of kind of like the fly by night way that we've been operating in kind
of the wild, wild west of the industry. And I think it'll also have some real
implications for how tokens that do things like buybacks or rev share or all of that are probably
functionally securities, which is not the end of the world. What we want, obviously, is like a
pathway for these tokens to be able to be legal and onshore and have like the right rules of the road that
they can operate in. But I think it will really like change the industry, hopefully for the better.
But there's still some gray areas and some things that need to get worked out. So I do recommend
that you guys go take a look at the Clarity Act because it's probably I think that the Congress
is on a summer August recess right now. But there's a very real world where it could be passed in September, October timeframe.
Rebecca Reddick, not a genie, but said that she thinks that there's like a 60% chance that it could be passed this year.
And beyond that in the next year, it's kind of too hard to say, but we'll have to see if
it comes about. But we really need this crypto legislation in a lot of ways, not just for the
rules of the road, which we do want to need, but really so that crypto can actually just like be
on the books for the long term, right? Like we don't want this to just kind of be a Trump
administration phenomenon. And you get a lot more just kind of
like long term security and sense that, you know, even if we get like a crazy president down the
lines here, or even whatever, I don't want to Yeah, no, yeah, if we got like President AOC or
something like that, who wanted to come after crypto, like you would probably be happy that there's good legislation on the books that can
just kind of provide some clarity and some good kind of long-term stuff there so man this is good
well we'll keep an eye out for the for the crito um sun cosplay that may be coming the crew you've
got more than one fan but that's another fan added to the uh added to the
crew there that's pretty epic and uh yeah no this is a good good space guys thanks for for vibing
with us today it's been fun i feel like the content coin conversation was actually really
good and i think it's always good to just bang our heads against each other and just kind of see what
ideas come out and what's what's good what's not And yeah, the base app, I haven't gotten my hands on it yet.
I do kind of want to try to fumble around and see if I can get an access code
because I'd love to check it out.
And I'm actually excited.
Has anyone else?
I bought a Solana phone, the new Seeker phone.
Has anyone else bought a Solana phone?
Because they're being shipped, I like next week and so I'm
actually like I dropped like five hundred dollars on this and I was like I feel like in terms of
airdrops this may pay for itself or be like a good investment but I also got it because I'm like I
just want to have like a sense of what like the quote-unquote cutting-edge crypto mobile experience
is like so I'm excited to play around with it has anybody else like bought
a solana phone or like looked into that i faded it yeah pretty bad but yeah i faded as well even
though i wasn't in crypto i had this like i have a friend who was like hey listen to me now we will
gonna buy this phone and it will be very worth in uh in a bit of a time and he had like uh i think
he bought like four or five of them yeah do you know
the funny thing is that my wife um one of our kids fell into the pool the other day they were okay
but uh they fell into the pool and so my wife throws her phone to like jump in after the kid
and kind of cracks her phone not terribly but just a little crack and she's been telling me for a
while that she like needs a new phone and I'm like, babe, like we can we can buy you a new phone. But she doesn't know that I spent $500
on a Solana phone that I'm like, no, babe, like this is an investment. Like this is part of the
crypto portfolio. But I am just thinking I may have to buy my wife a new phone before this like
random Solana phone that I don't need shows up and she's like, what the hell is this?
Why did you just get a random phone?
I feel like that has it computed.
You kind of just think of it.
You're like, oh, this is some crypto thing that I'm going to play around with.
But it's just a legit phone.
I guess some people maybe will.
I can't imagine that you would main a Solana phone.
Can you imagine you're taking a call on your Solana phone in and like the airport or something you can give her the solana phone like uh it will be like hey baby this is your gift
and she doesn't know this is a solana phone right so you will be like it's a new uh a new product
it's very good they will be like the best phones in some year just try it and let's see yeah oh i
feel like most of the time
they're shit dude to be honest they definitely have sucked before i hope that this is a better
i hope that this is a better phone just yeah no i mean that like that's the way to get like
that's the way to get like followed home like from the airport you know like you have a
solano phone people are like i don't wear crypto shirts like i'm adding your crypto phone out in public that's that's crazy oh man kb you've been helping to plan the solana
key west event like when is that that's coming up soon right is it in august that's tomorrow oh damn
okay nice yeah that's kind of why i'm like been moving and grooving um got a lot going on we got a lot of
prep doing today and then um yeah it's check-ins tomorrow pre-ball is going to be down here
um and then um and then yeah uh thank you for inviting us
like you're cruising like in a boat or something i I saw, like, a, like, in, I don't know, it was, like, a banner or something.
Yeah, it's basic.
It's basic.
We're doing check-in at a local bar, doing, like, a free-for-all bar crawl tonight.
Tomorrow, there's going to be, or Friday, there's going to be a scavenger hunt on the island.
And, again, a party after party after was like rewards and stuff.
And then the next day there's a big boat day.
Nice. Sounds like a great weekend.
They're gonna be like top Monad influencer present at the Solana series.
Yeah, exactly.
I'm gonna wear my Monad hat the whole time.
So you're gonna be like, Hey, I know you're at this Solana conference. Have you heard of the EVM?
Would you like to, what if the EVM met Solana?
And also, don't forget to post.
No, no, you're good. I interrupted you, Chaos. I'm sorry, bro.
No, yeah, it's a bit important.
Don't forget to make this I don't drink again tweets.
We need them.
A hundred percent.
The space is finishing.
Just asking any of you have bought base mobile?
I bought one.
I don't know if you have it.
You bought a mobile for Solana.
What about Bass?
Oh my god. I'm horrible.
Most of mine are in Bass.
Bass has a phone too?
Toon has a phone too
because I bought two.
Two mobiles.
I'm sorry, what?
Another mobile is for Tune.
There are two mobiles, okay?
One of them is for bass, another one is for Tune.
You mean you went out and bought a separate phone yourself
that you use strictly for bass?
Yeah, two mobiles.
That's why I...
I'm so bullish on you, Solso.
I'm so bullish.
I haven't received anything yet.
I just vouched them.
You know, we don't...
How is it worth, Solso?
Is it like the Solana phone?
Like, would you get like some airdrops?
Are you expecting some airdrops
or something out of it?
Because I have no idea on the project.
Me neither, me neither, actually.
Mine is not on Solana, it's on base.
I don't know, actually, Kuzi.
I'm asking you.
I came here to get information.
I don't know anything about this.
You should drop the link, but I would check it out.
It's been a long, long time.
You know, one of them, I already forgot the name.
That one is for a phone.
Another one is on base, DJ1.
So this one, I can't give you information.
Another one, I should check my document, my files.
Who sold you this phone, Selzel?
That's a good question.
I even don't remember.
It's been a long, long time time but i should check my info yeah they're just telling you okay this is new let's buy this
mobile what's happening the next we don't know we we have no idea we just do that things and pray to
god well hey we'll be bullish on the Monad phone.
Hey, call me on my Monad phone.
I've got two phones.
Oh, my God.
Do it, Kulzi.
Oh, right?
Should I start raising to build a Monad phone?
It has, like, little – it would have, like, the Vercru build-out
where it has, like, little legs that you can, like, pull out can pull out of the back to have it stand like a spider-man.
It has spikes on the back or something for the Mulan dock.
And every time that something happens or when you open your phone, they say Jomonad, but with a voice.
They say like Jomonad, you know, but like with a voice, you know.
You can toggle between Jomonad and Top of the Mon to you, like when you log on.
Yeah, exactly.
Okay, guys, I'm going to wrap this up here.
Actually, Abdul just went live with DefiAC, and it's actually similar to what we were talking about.
It is Pump Fun versus Bonk Fun versus Zora on the Launchpad Wars.
So I would go check that out if you're still in a spaces mood
and you want to go vibe.
Definitely go hang out there, and it's been great vibing with you all.
Happy early birthday to KB.
So grateful for you being a part and leading our community.
And, yeah, guys, thanks for tuning in this week.
We'll be back at 9.30 a.m. EST.
Don't forget to drive your trading setup.
I hope that you guys get in the game to try to win a Kuru t-shirt.
Not really for even that.
Just have fun with it and to, yeah, just like spam the timeline with some more Kuru love.
We appreciate it and you.
So, guys, thanks for tuning in today.
And, yeah, hey, we'll see you next week.
Have a great rest of your week.
Peace, guys.
