like a long time and it just fit perfectly and I feel like not everyone but like most you would
look at and it would be like 2.1 thousand likes like they were just all banging like off the charts so yeah i mean it's going to
be a good day for elon bucks in the in the trenches out here so it's been a lot of fun yeah man what a

i do think it'll be here maybe sooner than we expect in some ways. Just like a time to reflect and to just watch as like Monad is kind of starting to hit escape velocity,
which is pretty wild.

Well, I like clicking buttons, and i like number go up so if i can click a button and make a number go up that that really does a lot for my dopamine like i'm really liking the curve ants thing that
everybody was doing that like the first couple of days and i like slept on it but now i'm clicking it and uh it feels good to just destroy a
bunch of testnet monad to gas fees is it's great oh yeah how are you getting slow how are you getting
your like test mon like are you flipping nfts are you trading on kuru like yeah how are you
how are you staying liquid in the in the test mon uh i'll probably run out at
some point because i've been giving it to people and things like fortunately i was given some to
give to the community so i've set that aside to do that right whenever like they need like i have
to do like refunds or whatever because of the like the the people don't understand not to submit your transaction whenever it does the weird 2.7 thing um
fortunately there was a a pipeline twitch where they thought it was a good idea to launch a a coin
um and like they said they were going to launch the coin so obviously you just like

even though it won't be on the App Store.
And it's going to be really slick and have all of the functionality that you have on browser
on your phone with like a really clean interface.

Man, so we've got, we've had a funny week, right?
So looking back at the market over the last week or so here, we've seen kind of like a semi reversal going into this week.
So, all right, I'm opening CoinGecko as we speak right now.
Bitcoin climbed back up into the mid to high 80,000s.
ETH was up to like 21, 2200.
We've had a bit of a pullback today, but Bitcoin kind of came back in like the $87,000 range
after a bit of a tough
downturn today that I don't really have a good excuse for. But we got some news that GameStop
later today was going to add Bitcoin to their treasury, like their corporate treasury,
which is kind of fun. So that was some good news to get on the day. I feel like that defrayed some of the downturn and everything. The trenches have been okay. I think that I saw
today that Ghibli ran to something like 10 million or something like that. So that's kind of fun.
But we've kind of been like just getting whipsawed a little bit here, but we had a bit of a comeback.
Trump, it seemed like softened on some
of his tariff rhetoric, but also there are some things that seem like a hard line. I've been
listening to a lot of macro talk on podcasts and things like that. And I feel like I've come away
from all of that with the perspective that long-term, it is still right to be at least
hopeful that these things will work and that Trump has some planning
to his thinking. One shill that I will have that I highly recommend if you want to understand kind
of like the macroeconomic perspective, you don't have to agree with it, but at least you can hear
the perspective, is to go to the All In podcast. Chamath and David Friedberg interviewed the
Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, and the Secretary of the Commerce, Howard Lutnick,
and the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Besant. And these are separate hour and a half or so long
interviews that are just very candid, very transparent, and I think that are just very
encouraging. It's kind of like when Trump was going on those podcasts during the election cycle.
I feel like regardless of whether you like
Trump or not, just really impressive to hear someone go on and speak in long form and actually
be able to have a conversation, which is way more informative than just like these two, three,
five minute sound clips that we've become so used to from politicians, government officials,
and the like. And so I think they sound very cogent and like people that are very sharp and have a
plan in terms of what Nick and and best in that way.
So I feel like if you want to be informed on where macro could be coming from there.
Yeah, I highly recommend it.
So can talk more about that.
But but just in the in the belly, in the gut the gut kb how are you feeling about the market and
where things are sitting right now oh hello did kb rug is it just me i can't hear kb no i can't hear kb either she might have

you asked me about the market i heard everything you said nice yeah um and it's interesting and i
feel like i should probably pay attention a little more to that and i think like my approach to this
as a consumer and you know someone working here um and for the last three years is you know time
in the market and not timing the market
um and I'm gonna be here like regardless and just kind of like participating and and yeah I think
that we're stable for the most part um you know and and I do feel kind of like a bottom-ish right
like you know we could always go lower but it feels okay for now but i'm not i'm not
doing too much though i'm still sitting on my hands i'm not really convinced in the trenches
there's been a few runners like you said but you know we've talked about doing perps but
i don't know you know i'm just i'm just watching yeah i think that's i think that's good and and
since we don't have some of our regulars up here
who like to gap as much i'll do just a little bit of exposition on what i feel like are some of the
takeaways that um i feel like i've garnered and you guys can agree or disagree with me also this
is not financial advice this is just kind of i'm vibe trading here i'm vibe reading also i'm not
even i'm not i'm literally not trading.
I probably haven't made a crypto. I definitely have not traded on chain since before East Denver.
And that was going mostly into stables. So I'm just kind of sitting on my hands right now, but feeling pretty good about it.
But so basically, this is like the main takeaway that I've had is, okay, a few things. Let me think how to summarize this. I'll just give you the brief rundown on the kind of like Trump economic plan. I won't go into
detail with it. I'm not smart enough to, but I feel like there is, so obviously the big pivot
point is on tariffs, right? So you have this goal to raise the taxes essentially on products that are coming into the United States. Historically, tariffs are U.S. tariffs have been very kind of the world's biggest customer. Everybody sells things to us. But we are basically, as we take things in, like just giving them a great deal. just the tariffs that are causing that short-term pain, right? We're also trying to weed out fraud
in the social security system. We're also making some tough hiring decisions or firing decisions
with regard to employees in the federal government, which is pretty bloated.
There's a really good NPR podcast on that.

Yeah, they talked. So basically during the, I want to say maybe the first bush administration
it wait no it was during clinton um i think it was during clinton they they did exactly that
where they they cut back on the federal workforce and they talked to the lady that was in charge of
that um i think it's a planet money podcast
but it's really good but basically she's like uh she didn't say this but like doge is doing it in
like the most retarded way possible and like there's already a framework for this like what
the fuck is wrong with them well that's interesting um i'd have to listen to it i won't lie that i'm
maybe just a little bit skeptical because i'm not a huge fan of NPR, but I would give this lady the benefit of the doubt and hear out on what she had to say.
It's interesting if there already was a framework for it. I guess like the in short, the big goal
is to try to raise a trillion dollars through tariffs, through some things like the Trump card,
which is really interesting.
I don't know if you guys have heard about this Trump card. They're also calling it like the
gold card. It's basically like this residency status that you can purchase by living anywhere
in the globe and qualifying with basically like background checks, means testing, all of this stuff to where if you
purchase this $5 million Trump card, which is a hilarious name, it's like you can have
permanent residence in the United States and the ability to like work, build a business,
all of these things in the government and have a ability to only be taxed on your income that
you make in the United States.
So it can both be a way for wealthy or people that want to start businesses or whatever
it is to come into the United States, but also to have it as kind of like a backstop,
right?
Like if you're a super wealthy person in another part of the world, and you just want to know that if like stuff hits the fan in your home country,
you can go to America and be like welcomed instantly. You can like buy this like $5 million
Trump card. And they've sold something like 1000 of them at this stage. And there's a route,
like, I don't know if this is true, but there's on the order of like tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that are interested in buying them.
But like selling a thousand of them, they've raised like $5 billion, which is both like
a lot and kind of not a lot, but, but still kind of wild.
So they just have all of these interesting plans to like try to raise a trillion and
to cut a trillion to basically like just get us to a place where we can start aggressively.
Yeah, making social security and entitlements more sustainable long term and start cutting
down the debt, which is going to be interesting because, OK, so this is the last thing I'll
say.
I feel like there's like a two sided interesting implications here for Bitcoin.
One is I think that it's funny because a lot of people I've seen
are starting to talk about how like if the US were to actually get its act together with regard to
like the economic situation, that it would almost be bearish for Bitcoin, because you would have
like this narrative of Bitcoin being this like hedge against like crazy government, fiscal and monetary
policy, kind of be harmed by the US being in like a more long term sustainable financial system.
Now, that probably depends on your confidence in Trump's ability to execute on these things,
but still kind of an interesting like narrative that could come along there. But also, I think that with institutions starting to
really come into the cryptosphere and, you know, we take away from Digital Assets Summit last week
that the institutions are very bullish. They're starting to allocate. They're waiting for
regulation, but they have dry powder ready to deploy. I feel like the big takeaway from that
on the other end of maybe a long term just
question about Bitcoin and how it plays in a world where maybe the US has its act together a little
bit more is that when these institutions come, they're going to be allocating to Bitcoin heavy.
And so the thing that you need to ask with your like altcoin bags is like whatever it is,
who is the buyer of last resort? Like who is actually
going to buy my like niche gaming token? Or like who is going to buy my like, you know, my Pengu
or like whatever it is, right? No shade to Pengu, but just an example, right? These coins that like
in the 2021-2022 cycle that we were kind of conditioned to just going up only like 5 or 10x, that vast
liquidity doesn't really exist anymore. And there's so much saturation in terms of the market
that you have to pick winners really wisely to actually catch that pump in altcoins now.
And that feels like a trend that's going to continue, even as things look really optimistic,
I think, for Bitcoin in the short, mid and long term. So yeah, a little bit of a rant there,
but definitely worth keeping track of. I don't know if anybody has any thoughts on
the macro side or how they're thinking about, yeah, the coins are trading in the short to
midterm here, but you're welcome to come
off and say hi or just talk about it i think crypto crypto hey i think cryptocurrency is
perfect for the the cyberpunk dystopia that we're going to experience bullish on cryptocurrency over
other stuff do you think we're actually okay say okay slow say more like you think we're actually okay slow say more
you think we're going towards

in my tummy like it doesn't feel good I do think that the financial actors that they have stewarding the market are smart,
but I don't know how well they'll be able to execute on the vision that they have,
even though I feel like I've come to agree with it in some ways.

some dude opened a giga short on jelly forcing the hyperliquid uh hyper
liquid to provide the hlp to to mirror the position right and then they started pumping
into them into the micro cup jelly jelly and then the price started going up uh the trader
closed the position and then hyperliquid was stuck with a bad trade and everyone was looking at the
chart and you know speculating that if it
goes another 3x up the entire hlp gets fucked right and at that point binance and okx announced

liquidity. So market makers can come in at any time and start making a market. So like say a

all of the AMM liquidity is still flowing through a market making bot that is going to basically like place the best liquidity for you
But it'll just be generating it from like the user deployed liquidity
Whereas for like those bigger short tail assets, you'll have active market makers that'll be quoting the spreads like super tight and everything
