Thank you.ご視聴ありがとうございました so so so Thank you. Субтитры сделал DimaTorzok ДИНАМИЧНАЯ МУЗЫКА so Yo, yo, yo, what is up guys?
Got something in my throat, but we are getting after it, baby.
It is Wednesday morning, 9.34 a.m.
We are live for Kuru Live, baby.
The crew just requested to speak.
friend kb live from the foundry how are you doing kb what's up how's life how's the monad office
how are you doing yo what's up guys gm gm um yeah i am walking to the foundry. Didn't quite make it at 9.30 like I wanted to.
But hey, we're still on our way.
Staying in a really nice hotel about five minutes away.
So I just, you know, walking to work.
I guess you guys can hear the ruffles of the city.
But yeah, no, I'm walking to the foundry right now.
And I'm going to pull up.
They have like, you know, they open at 9 a.m. So from 9 to 10, they offer like a really nice breakfast, you know, coffee, you can hang out.
And then yeah, all the workshops kind of start at 10 a.m. and we're gonna, you know know we hang out until five there's a lot going on and then some people
are just staying there till 10 p.m just vibe coding all day so it's been cool it's been cool
to see dang that is so cool kb i think i don't know about the crew listening but i think we've
all got fomo right now i wish was there. Just didn't work out.
I really wish you were here.
I'm doing the best I can, Cozy, but I need you.
I know in the future, it's going to happen.
We will be able to travel more.
I will be able to travel more.
I've got a move coming up.
If you're a praying person,
send up a prayer for the cozy crew
because we're getting ready to go across the country.
It's going to be wild here.
And then hopefully I'll be able to take off
to the foundry and everything that's going on.
Hey, hey, do you want to jump on a call?
Hey, oh yeah, let's make a telegram group.
Oh yeah, you're pitching me on this.
I know, and come on, free breakfast, coffee.
KB is going to be over here on this space. He's going to be munching, man. She's going to be
eating some probably like a parfait or like maybe an omelet or maybe some quiches that they've got
going. John W. Rich Kid's probably on the griddle. He's going to be going crazy. It's going to be
wild. That's awesome. Yeah, I'm actually eating a banana on the way um so i got a banana and a iced coffee in my hand and i'm just walking
the streets although i think i just took a wrong turn i'm like i thought that i was confident and
that i knew where i was walking to and not have to use a map but i think i'm wrong so i gotta check
that really quick you're also throwing me back because I used to live in New York City.
So I remember, I remember, man, subway in and just getting around and doing the whole thing.
There's nothing like New York City.
Like you kind of are always walking and you're kind of in shock that you're just like in,
I don't know if it's the greatest city on earth, but maybe the most iconic city on earth.
And you just feel alive.'re like man i could get
mugged at any moment and i also could meet a billionaire at any moment like there's nothing
there's nothing like it it's just it's the best what's the office like kb has it been cool has the
is the space neat sorry i'm trying to figure out on the map exactly where i'm at oh i can not put you on the spot
what did i do let me hear i go this way i think i'm good i think i'm good i didn't pass it
okay what is this seventh ab on the seventh ab i need to go to six ab okay no i just missed one
turn i'm good um the office is so clean um it's just like, it's so spacious.
Yeah, everyone has like their own desk.
So like we have our name tags and that's just like kind of where like we're walking towards.
But it's cool because like everyone's just like yapping, you know, like everyone's sitting in everyone's different desk.
And everyone's just meeting everybody. There know like everyone's sitting in any everyone's different desk and everyone's just meeting everybody there's a ton of meetings happening there's like pitches for like bcs they have workshops we had like a workshop a twitter workshop yesterday so that was
fun but yeah there's like i'm gonna do a speed run of it today actually i got the little osmo
i've been kind of it's been kind of you know crazy and busy the last few days but i think today oh my god i don't know where i'm going i'm really bad
at this okay this way um so like hmm you gave me you if you need to figure out where you're going
face space i really can't do two things at once this is so funny okay anyways um so anyways yeah
no it's been cool it's been um i have to do a speed run of the office today and i want to i'll
post it there's like there's like four i think there's like three common areas
and then there's just like a ton of like private areas you know they got a ton of rooms for like
meetings and conferences and like and things like that and it's a really nice big open space
kb you got to do one of those videos where it's like a young professional woman like at
Deloitte and she's like, come to work with me at my eighth floor office on in downtown Chicago.
And it's like for and but it's like one of those videos where like no one's working. Like it's like
at eight at 9 a.m. I go in and I get my free breakfast at 10 a.m. There's a company picnic.
Then at 11 a.m. I go out with some of my friends and we go hit the downtown. And then we so like
Vermont, it would be like it would be like we come in. There's some nice iced coffee. John W.
Rich Kid is pooping on the floor in the corner. Oh, there's tunes. He needs like a height adjusted desk and seat because he's four foot 11 oh keone is
throwing weight in the corner something like you just that would be that would be incredible
i should do that you should you should text that to me i will i'll give you some i'll give you some
content one of my favorite things to do um so like there was there was when I was in college, everybody did this, but you would have like fire drills and stuff. And one time I was an RA and I was not there. My best friend. So he started narrating what was happening. And he but he like took it. He like made it crazy to where like I was I was like, Hey man, like, is everything going okay? And he was like, no dude, like John is John just suplexed, uh, Emily onto the ground and he's
punching her face into the concrete right now. And the, the, the half of the wing is on fire.
It's a great bit. If you, if you ever find yourself in a situation where someone asks you
how it's going, just lie. Have some fun
with it. I actually highly recommend it. And I do it often when people ask me how a meeting's going
that they're not at. So actually, that's a great bit just to keep in your back pocket there.
But we've got some other people. KB is getting to the foundry. We've got Slo. We've got Vercru.
What's up, Slo? How are you doing, brother? Hey, I'm good. How are you? I'm good.
Are you doing like a weekly space or something that you have going on now?
Yeah, on Mondays and Fridays.
On Mondays, there's an ad with Slow.
And on Fridays, there's Contact Tank.
And sometimes I have guests.
Dude, that's super fun. I'm really glad really glad to see like you and like chaos walker and
like some of the guys like getting after it like sending some goals like doing really cool stuff
that's awesome man i hope it i hope they take off i'll try to join sometime that sounds super fun
thanks yeah it's been really fun um i had james on from category labs a few weeks back and we like riffed for like three hours so it's pretty funny
you're definitely i feel like those you like a combination of you and james that is like some
s tier riffers that are hanging out speaking of riffing guys keep an eye out for this i might be
going on gainsy's stream later today at around like 3 p.m est so if that happens that will be like some monumental
riffing that's going to be kind of incredible i'm pretty excited i honestly have no idea
like what we'll actually talk about but when has that ever stopped me before right we're just gonna
go in and riff about gainsy getting bombed in tel aviv right now so definitely keep an eye on
pump fun for that because i'm actually pretty excited if it does happen. He was looking for guests and I reached out to him. Gainsey and I are kind of
cool. And I was like, yo, I'll come on if you want. And he thumbs up the message and he was
like, I think it's free. And so I was like, okay, I guess that means that he wants me to come on.
And I was like, all right, let me know if you want me to join. So I don't know if it's going
to actually happen, but I think it might. So that will be pretty funny because I was like, all right, let me know if you want me to join. So I don't know if it's going to actually happen, but I think it might.
So that will be pretty funny because I've been, if you guys have seen Cozy Maximalist
over the last few days, I've been getting so much content out of Gainsey being Tel Aviv,
being in Tel Aviv while it's getting bombed.
It's honestly been like a beautiful time for memes, even as it's just a crazy, crazy time
in the world. Oh but i just love there's
almost no one that i love memeing more than gainzy i don't know what it just everything about it is
just like so funny and like dude like the shoulder hair just the way that gainzy is the cigs i love
that dude it's so fun so yeah you just gotta when you're a shit poster, you just gotta grab hold of something and just run with it.
So, we're gonna be in a shit poster.
What's up, my clown friend?
Yeah, hello, hello, guys.
I'm also eating right now.
I cooked some burgers for myself.
I'm a bit scary about World War 3, but I did a new haircut yesterday.
So, yeah, burgers are really good.
I also did it with bacon and creamy sauce, some cheese.
But I wish I could have banana
after, like, for the dessert.
See, that's tough. You could even put
the bananas on the burger and go full Elvis
mode. Do you know that's a thing?
to eat burgers with banana. It's for the John. It's like, I'm not as close as to eat burgers with banana.
It's like for the John, not for me.
No, dude, that sounds like a killer dinner.
Oh my God, guys, I put in the wrong address.
You're just like in Long Island right now.
Yeah, I just was like, wait a second, this isn't right.
And I'm like, oh my God, I put the wrong address in.
But the crazy thing is I ran into my friend's aunt from Key West.
It was like the craziest thing ever.
Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that.
You're not like, I mean, dang, are you like far away?
Everything's like a five minute walk
so it's like i'm very central yeah so the thing is like i have like a bunch of like links from like
been trying to find something so i accidentally hit the cvs instead of the office so it sent me
to the cvs and i'm like wait a second and then And then I'm like, oh, but no, I'm five minutes away.
KB, are you in Manhattan or Brooklyn?
Yeah, we're in the Flatiron area.
Everything is like, anything you need here is like five, ten minute walk.
So I haven't taken the subway once because I refuse.
I will not get in the fucking subway. Those things are gross. KB, don't take the subway once because I refuse. Yeah, honestly. I will not get in the fucking subway. Those things are
gross. KB, don't take the
subway. Don't take the subway unless
intern or something as large
is going with you. No, I'd rather
a cool trick about the subway in New York.
No tricks. What's the trick?
you know, whenever you see the train come by
and there's a bunch of crowded cars
and then there's a car that like is pretty empty and you're like oh good don't get in the empty
car there's a reason the car isn't the empty car is empty uh there's probably a really pungent
awful smell in there or diarrhea or something don't get in that car that's actually so slow
that's so true you learned a lesson that it takes many
New Yorkers months to learn. I, this is my tip for riding the subway because I am like, you know,
a relatively tall, um, you know, just white guy that just like stands out on the subway and tends
to attract attention. And I was there. And anytime you're there with like a beautiful woman on the
subway, you just are a target. Like that's just sadly like the way that things go.
I never got into a fight, but I got pretty close a few times, which would not have probably
This is not just for the subway.
This is for any time as just a man in general that you are going somewhere where you feel
You put on very baggy clothing, right? You want to create space. You want people to not know how
jacked you are. Like even if you're not jacked, you want to create the illusion that you're a
large man, right? And you just kind of walk. And if you're ever walking down a street or if you're
in the subway and you feel threatened, you start muttering under your breath. You go like,
I'm seeing things or just stuff, just stuff like that. You got to seem like an insane person.
This especially works. I will say if you're a white guy, because a crazy white guy,
he might not be at the top of the crazy person totem pole, but he's like pretty darn close.
And so like you, here's another tip. You have like
some juice or some coffee or something like that. Spill it, spill it on your shirt just so that you
just look like disheveled. You just look like rough, dude. It looks like you just don't care
about what's going on in life. I remember going to pick up my then girlfriend, now wife. I was
going, I was coming back from dropping her off at the airport
or something like that. Dude, I was just totally black filled. I hated my life. And I was just like
sitting on the subway. This was actually not like the crazy person. I was just like pissed off
because I didn't want my girlfriend to leave. And I just felt like invincible. Like if somebody had
tried to like mess with me, I think I would have just forced, choked, lifted them up like Darth Vader off of the ground.
You just got to get there.
But you just keep that tip for you.
If you're ever on a road trip and you got to stop off at a seedy gas station, take that Celsius.
Dump a little bit on yourself and nobody's going to say a second word to you, man.
So you just keep that in your back pocket for if that ever comes.
Sadly, I don't know if that would work for you, KB.
But yeah, just be careful.
Because New York City, it's crazy, man.
But lots of good people and a good spot to live for sure still.
Guys, are you talking about Subway?
Like Subway or Subway where you uh burgers and sandwiches not not the five dollar
footlong no not the not the restaurant we're talking about okay the two okay i thought you
want to smash like some guy in subway where he eats sandwiches i was like like for one more
sandwich or for what oh dude that's hilarious no, they're not that good. The $5 footlong is like a casualty of inflation at this point.
Subway is both not good and expensive now, which is truly a bummer.
So, no, this is not really how to get in and out of a sandwich chain, sadly.
I almost said shout-out to Jared, but we don't need to shout him out.
He's just doing his thing. We'll just leave it as Jared from Subway, the, yeah. I almost said shout out to Jared, but we don't need to shout him out. He's just,
he's doing his thing. We'll just leave it as Jared from Subway, the sandwich attacker.
I don't know, man. Subway sandwich shops in the city can get a little sketchy sometimes.
So those, those tips you gave might apply. Fair, fair. I mean, I'm not going to say that they don't,
that's actually, that's actually a good point. I'm not going to say that they don't apply as well. It's more just like sometimes you need to go on the subway, the subway subway, like the subterranean subway. You never need to go to Subway, the sandwich chain. There's never a reason that you should find yourself there.
a reason that you should find yourself there. You're in New York City, man. There's so many,
there's so many good spots. Go to the bodega. A nice Hispanic man will make you an awesome
sandwich. Like, gosh, that's just incredible. The bodega, there's nothing like it.
Hey man, it can be hard to find a bathroom in New York City.
So if, if that particular subway has a public restroom, you got to do what you got to do.
if that particular subway has a public restroom, you got to do what you got to do.
That's so true. My mom, when she was young, my dad is from New York City,
and he's like a lifer, taught me all these tips, not the spilling stuff on yourself,
but a lot of tips. And my mom was looking for a bathroom one time, and she went into
the Waldorf, which is like one of the nicest hotels in New York City. And she like stopped in. It is not a public
bathroom, but she just forced her way in. Like maybe that's where I learned my my yapping
tendencies and just like being a people person because my mom just thought, yeah, why not stop
in at this like grand hotel? Like this is a good place to to jump in. And they have bathroom
attendance and it's kind of wild man but uh but yeah
kb how are we doing status check are we are we close are you making it are you lost yeah i'm i
made it to the foundry yeah that was the mission let's see if they have for breakfast yeah for
real narrate narrate for us give it all right so we just walked oh there's a intern hi intern
do you want to say hi to the squad
we're on our crew of space you want to say hello what's up squad hello hold on
hello let's go we hear you yo what's going on cozy Cozy? Yo, dude, doing great. Intern, great appearance on Zero X Research, man.
Yeah, I didn't realize David Hoffman was going to be on there.
He got some good questions, some good Monad-related stuff, too.
So, no, that was a solid Friday stream.
Dude, when he asked if Mon was money, dude, your response was unreal, man.'m like i'm like i'm literally an intern you asked
me i'm like mom doesn't exist we're a test one oh dude it's kind of funny because there's like a
little bit of like tension because like hoffman is still like a monad angel but also he's an
eth guy also he didn't seem to love rsa's shitpost so it was just i don't know there was definitely a
little bit of tension and then there's just like bach and like danny that are just like hanging
out who are literally some of like the best hosts around so dude bach is so funny we've got a monad
i think he's already monad pilled but we've really gotta get that guy in he's so funny yeah
no he is i mean that he he reached out to me he was like i would
love to talk about this on uh on the pod uh hang on we're grabbing a nigga he was like i'd love to
talk about this on the pod and i was like yeah man i'm i'm happy to what are we doing friday um
but yeah is mon money coming in the testnet phase i I was not prepared for that. I hope my answer is sufficient.
What are you talking about?
We don't even have, dude, Mon is, what do you, TGE?
I don't even, that's not even on the roadmap, dude.
Yeah, it's like, just wait and see what happens.
What are you talking about?
All right, Cozy, I got to hop here, dude. Always great chatting. I will catch up with you later. Totally, totally. called NAD. The ticker is NAD, dude. Come on. All right. All right, Kosey, I got to hop here.
Dude, always great, Chad.
And I will catch up with you later.
Let's see if I was going to find...
Oh, and it's at her phone.
I got real close to her face to talking to her headphones,
but then she handed me the phone.
So, you know, we learn as we go.
I kind of liked having my face right next to KB's.
Now I'm just putting it there for fun.
Trade on Karoo, if you don't go on every week, how are you supposed to get accessories for your club monster?
Man, Sophie, we need to make you a Kuru KOL for the club monster.
Okay, okay, Tina's talking.
Baby, that was an insane laugh that you just did.
Wait, why? okay okay Tina's talking baby that was an insane laugh that you just did wait why
you just you just trailed it off for like 10 seconds
I'm like I'm like the most annoying person here I like interrupt everybody
I like and just like a schizo running around this office the last two days.
I don't know what I'm doing.
I bother Tina for absolutely everything.
Tina, you want to say hi?
Imagine she hands the phone to someone
I was talking this whole time
And it was just me and KB laughing at each other
Knowing how to navigate Technology i'm a boomer um okay i'm
sorry everybody i have to go back to work uh and run a foundry so yes you do so nice to see you all
okay love you bye okay bye tina bye tina i asked her the dumbest shit all day. She's just like, oh my god.
She's running the entire foundry.
Grabbed her for a second.
Let's see if I was talking about it. Hey, how are you?
This is crazy. This is like walk around
I don't know if this is great content
for the listeners, but I'm enjoying it.
I didn't expect this. I thought they were going to be just like angry John.
No, John's not even here.
He doesn't even work for Mana anymore. He got fired.
Yeah, John's not even here.
Do you guys want to say hi to Jorge?
Yeah, my favorite dinosaur
That's Velociraptor for the win you i'm slow you feel me you might be you know your name
is slow but you fast bro thanks man wow so so let's talk to this is our crew live space oh
hello oh we're with our is it a ritz at mace labs uh why don't you ask cozy
hello what should i ask him whatever you want oh ask me the apis hi uh when can we uh index all
of your pairs so we can discover new pairs for you from you guys go oh dude wow i mean phenomenal
question um the man you know wish i was the guy but i know the guys so let's let's
dude i'm gonna be pretend i'm there right now i'm gonna be like dude all right let's take this
telegram that's what i would say and i will i will ping the boys i'll ping the wait is that
what i should is that what i should do should i just put a telegram chat with him we already have
one we have one you're not in it?
We will make it happen, brother.
Because we want new coins. We need to fill our blob of deck space with more decks.
We just brought two new devs on this week,
Hopefully, we've been a little bit over bandwidth,
but we will make that happen.
Oh, I can feel that, man.
Well, yeah, no, we'll talk.
I don't know if you've pinged,
All right, appreciate it. All right, I'll give the phone back. Thank you ping our CEO. We'll make it happen. Oh, yeah. All right. Appreciate it.
I'll give the phone back.
Yeah, we met yesterday. It was fun.
All right. Let's see if I can bother.
See, we're doing business.
Yeah. See, business live.
Want to guys talk to Big Mr. Blue from Leverbet?
What's up, brother? How's it going?
Oh, just trying to build the next wave of gambling for all you fun people.
Dude, I mean, what more could you want than to go, you know, 100x long on the Thunder,
just wiping the floor with the Pacers, man. Come on.
That hurts deep down in my soul as I have a plus 2200 on the Pacers to win this.
And every second of those games, it gets less and less likely as that foul merchant SGA gets calls on like a jump ball,
which I don't think there's been a foul call on in 40 years, which is longer than I've been alive.
So, oh, man, it's painful to watch these series right now.
Dude, I'm a Knicks fan, so I just absolutely hate the Haliband.
I just think that we need to – look, I don't want to nuke Iran,
but I want to nuke Tyrese Halliburton out of existence forever, man.
There's a cold stuff going on there.
I don't know what Rick Carlisle is doing, man, but I could never be a Pacers fan.
So I hope you lose that bet, my friend, even though I wish they were bets the best.
Now, just shot question in the dark.
Rick Carlisle or Tom Thibodeau coaching your Knicks?
Which one would you pick?
Dude, well, it's not going to be Tom.
It doesn't sound like it's going to be anybody because they're all refusing our interview requests.
But I was also, we're like going after every best coach in the league.
Although Ime Adilko was kind of like a crazy choice.
I don't know who's going to be coaching the Knicks next year.
Dude, if it was Rick, I would probably become pro-Black Magic.
I would be like, yeah, let's trade for Tyrese.
But I want him in the Knicks uniform, not in just a freaking pacers you know the choke dude it's
just i'm i'm literally shaking talking about this it's great it's great no i look you know what it's
been a fun series though right like i've watched every game all the way through normally i'd skip
a few of them if the warriors aren't in it which uh i've been a fan of for the past 20 years right so um for me it's it gives me something to root for because i just fucking
hate oklahoma city i cannot stand those dudes right i don't know there's something about them
makes it's that commercial you know the commercial where they're all wearing the same suit and then
they like show up to whatever event they're at. Like that shit's so cringe. Get that out of here, bro.
I feel like the NBA is not thrilled right now with like two small market teams
like playing, but like kind of the diehard NBA guys are probably kind of loving it
because it is a fun series.
Who would have projected?
I mean, I guess OKC was kind of like a lock for the finals for some extent,
but like the Pacers coming out of the East, man, it's so ridiculous.
And now you've got – oh, my man from Duke going to the Mavs.
Like, it's just unreal, man.
Talk about some dark magic.
You'll never convince me that that wasn't already a foregone conclusion
when the Mavs traded Luka for a draft pick and a bag of nails so to la
right they said hey you you scratch the back of la you get the number one draft pick right so
hey man we've got some good some good nba content for the for the live crew oh man i don't know any
we've talked to the to the lever guys before, but yeah, any alpha.
We need to get over on the site, get some bets going.
But dude, we're getting close to mainnet.
We're feeling saucy about it.
I do believe we have a formal partnership up in our lab where if you've interacted with the Kuru contracts, you can claim some extra PSP.
So anybody that hasn't already done so go do that and then
for getting closer to mainnet we will be dropping v2 of lever with full mobile optimization new bet
types new sports all the good uh ins and outs here hopefully within the next like month or two
we're just coming out of dev in it going to some internal testing, and then we'll drop it to the beautiful people. Our goal is to be ready for day one main net,
and my hope and black magic praying over here is that that's sometime
right around the start of the NFL season so that we can lock in on that for everybody.
Dude, oh my gosh, that would be amazing.
Imagine football is coming back and my i mean it is about to launch
like there's not much like that could get better in life than that right now i think that would be
clutch man i also like that you say it's for all the beautiful people i feel like that's one of
those things you shouldn't do kyc but you should do kyb where it's like know who's beautiful and
you have to like submit like a screen like scan and if they're not a beautiful person you're like
look you gotta wait for V3, man.
I'm pointing at my coworker over here.
That's what we're doing, right?
You've got to input the face pic.
And if you don't got the face card, you can't play hard.
You're too dysgenic for our app right now.
Actually, honestly, I'm not going to lie.
You might want the ugly people.
They might be some of your denizens.
If they're going to be clipping 10x leverage on the Ravens versus the Steelers, man,
they're going to have to be some degenerates to throw some money on that.
So maybe just throw wise against us.
Yeah, I mean, I don't want to speak too poorly of our crew,
but out of everybody, I probably have the prettiest face in the bunch, and i am the least proficient sports gambler out of the 10 of us right so uh the
and the uglier we get the the more we gamble right shout out tb i love you boy
hey it's good talking to you guys have a good day definitely thanks brother oh goodness gracious
hello oh tb this is a funky space we are we are losing people but i don't mind because i'm Definitely. Thanks, brother. Oh, goodness gracious. Hello.
Oh, KB, this is a funky space.
We are losing people, but I don't mind because I'm enjoying the content
and Libra is hitting me with these cry faces
I think this one is just for the homies.
This one is just for the real Kuru fans.
I can't believe you don't like this content.
I think it's cool to walk around the boundary.
I also think there are at least three Monad Echo
things happening in this time slot right now.
Monad Echo is so annoying, no offense.
Like I see Nini. Okay, so they have this office and it's like it's a so there's
this office and it's off limits and it's only for uh the mona foundation in the thing and so i want
to knock so bad but if i knock they'll be so mad at me so i can't but like i can see like danny i
can see nini intern intern bra like everybody in there like working hard I just oh there's Sophie something
let me in absolutely not it's just a top security place that we don't let
we don't let fucking Pikachu ass people in the foundation so you can stare through the window
it's like being at the zoo but we're on the inside. I know, I know. Look at that. I see Inago.
You don't have that animal in here.
Oh, Inago's barking at me.
That's an incredible insult.
Tell Nini to say hi. Tell Nini, turn around and say hi.
Inago's like freaking out.
Keone had to get Inago because he's barking at me.
Eunice, do you want to say hi to the squad?
We're in the crew space. Hold on.
Hey, Eunice. How's it going?
Good. How are you guys doing?
We're doing good. We're doing good. We're getting the tour.
KB is filming her Deloitte day in the life at the office right now.
We're just along for the ride, so we're having fun.
9 a.m., rolling, get a bagel yep yep if i ever get a breakfast and coffee 11 a.m company picnic so you can say hi danny hey cozy hey what's up brother how doing? It's a fantastic day. We've got a podcast coming today. We've got Monad in the morning tomorrow.
A lot of awesome teams here. Miss those who are not here, but hope to see you all soon.
Danny, how's married life, man?
It's great. I highly recommend.
So true. Dude, I couldn't agree more. It's the best, man. That's awesome.
Gotta have some support, especially if you're
spending most of your days in crypto. So true. You need somebody who just thinks that what you
do is ridiculous so that you don't get too serious about the work that you're doing.
You should be serious about it, but you always need a wife that's like,
what coin are you trading? This is your job? Do you get a salary for this? And you're like, yeah, babe, it's, I can't believe it either.
My accountant often has similar questions.
That's probably better than most people on this space can say.
They're like, accountants?
Like, what is, what is that?
KV, your laughs are killing me right now.
I'm running around making everyone talk to you guys.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this.
I might have to hop in the spaces as well from my own account.
We've been going on for like half hour.
We're just kind of walking around.
Thank you, Danny. Welcome. Have fun, hour. Yeah, we're just kind of walking around. Awesome. Welcome. Thank you, Danny.
James, you might be disappointed, my friend.
It's fun, but I don't know if there's a lot of alpha going on here.
Wait, James isn't here where
james where are you like where where why isn't james at the foundry actually like i was the
i was the most excited to see james he's not even here wait is he a speaker he's not right now but
you're welcome to come up james but you also don't have to there's no pressure i think this is docs that james lives in the midwest james i'm also about to move back
to the midwest i love the midwest it'll be fun tunes always says that you're the most interesting
person within the mod ed ecosystem to talk to and hang out with so i hope to get a beer with you
someday that'll be fun we'll shoot the we'll shoot the shit shoot the breeze
I think he's at the Category Labs office
which is in the old Monad building
yeah I don't know where the old Monad building
oh James is coming up let's go
let's go what's up james how's it going man
not much man not at the foundry you've got more you got more important things to do
yeah i'll be there uh what thursday and friday cool cool But yeah, I'm moving back to New Jersey, actually.
is pretty short. Dang. Okay.
Fair. Fair. James, you'll be
I'll be there Thursday a.m.
Are we going to go party, James?
Are we going to go party? Are we going to go party, James? What's that? Are we going to go party?
I'm going to cut back on the party.
I mean, do you want Bainette or do you want to party?
Yeah, we need James sober.
No more of these blue moons that he has coming out on the Kuru spaces and everything.
It's going to be cold water for us.
Caffeine? Maybe some nicotine, James? No?
I'm not into that, but I did try some Zins at some of these events.
People hand me a Zin. Zin, right? Z-Y-N?
That's right. That's right. Yep. There's a lot of different...
There's too many, but yeah, it's very fun if you lock in.
They seem kind of weak though i need
i need some stronger i don't know who who gave them to you maybe if it was tunes or something
like that he's probably rocking like a little like 0.5 milligram or something like that intern
might get you up to speed you'd probably be cooking what's the what are the different uh doses okay so different, uh, doses. Okay. So like I have a six milligram in right now, I'm feeling good. My, uh,
my brother in law is, uh, let's just say he goes hard. He works in the military and, uh, he is
rocking up to like, dude, he's got like 25 milligrams that he's like ripping like on the
daily. So he's a manimal. I would not recommend that. That will actually hurt your body. But, uh,
but I feel like a six or a nine, you're going to be, you're going to be, you might throw up and then you'll feel good.
Yeah, I feel like, is there a three as well?
I feel like I tried maybe a three and a six.
Maybe I need to go to a nine.
Dude, if you're, I mean, if you ripped a six milligram and you never had nicotine and it didn't do enough for you, you actually are built different.
So that might just be, you might just be naturally gassed up. I don't know. Something like that.
Yeah, I think my tolerance for stimulants is pretty high.
That's awesome. Dude, you just, I think, James, do you have a family? I think you might,
I don't know. I feel like maybe just if you have kids, you're just like naturally more
stimulated. You just got more going on in life. i don't know if i agree with that this is sophie on kb's phone
hi james how's your morning going uh good i mean what are you guys talking about uh world war three
oh james you know we kind of diverged.
That was more clickbaity title that we had going on right now.
KB is at the foundry, so she's just been walking around harassing people, getting them to jump on.
We did jinx it, actually.
So last week we talked about Ethereum leading alt season, and then the entire market died.
Israel decided to launch missiles at Iran.
I take direct credit for that. I think
because we were bullish, the market just had to respond. I also think that people saw that
the comp for Ethereum's TAM was the GDP of the world and the makers of the simulation just said,
we've got to do something about this. And so they uh said fire the nukes so it's not looking good man but we'll see we will rebuild
yeah i don't know i feel like world war three is that every time some conflict happens it's
world war three so probably real i do think if it does seem like russia does not really
like i think that there was I was probably kind
of one of them that thought that there could be like this coalescing of like support for Iran,
but everybody just kind of seems like they're like, hey, like, good luck, guys. Like, I hope
this goes well for you. And there's not a lot of maybe support right now. So maybe I'm glad for
that because I'd rather us not get embroiled in a war with the
world but uh but yeah we shall see where where things go yeah it's like that what's that story
kid who cried wolf too many times i think i'm just i think i'm numb to world war three at this point
nothing ever happens yeah i mean there's kind of some there's kind of some things i mean but it does
at this point i feel like we've got a few fake outs like the pentagon pizza report is definitely
like taking a hit right now because people i think were really convinced that the u.s was about to
just like go ham on iran last night that did not happen Maybe they're just really hungry at the Pentagon late in the evening lately.
I guarantee people are scamming and using stolen credit cards to order pizzas from those places for sure.
The funniest one is that they also monitor the activity of the closest gay bar to the Pentagon, which is crazy, man.
I will still say that's a great follow.
The Pentagon Pizza Report is still worth keeping up to date with because it's one of those
things where it's like, even if the clock is only right twice a day, it's pretty funny
I don't know how embroiled we are.
I'm not sure where we're going to go from here.
It feels like we are just kind of like hanging on the precipice.
I also think that gold is not pumping because I opened up a 5x long on gold when it looked
like the U.S. was going to enter the war.
And I think that I just cooked gold forever.
It's never going to go up again until I close my long and I'm sure it will pump.
It's never going to go up again until I close my long and I'm sure it will pump.
So definitely don't trade gold right now because it is compromised by me.
Maybe silver. Maybe you go some silver. I don't know.
Why would you buy gold over Bitcoin?
Well, I mean, like at least theoretically, right, like gold has like I feel like Bitcoin tends to dump after there's like hard crises that like happen in the world.
And gold has dumped, but it did pump initially when all of the fighting started.
And I feel like it's still like trending.
Like the chart looks actually like pretty good for gold right now.
There's still a lot of like, you know, old heads and people in general that just think like, okay, war, I'm going
gold. And Bitcoin, I think has recovered pretty fast and still kind of has that hedge narrative.
And it is digital gold. But I think it's a little bit easier still for it to get beat down
in the short term and gold maybe is still that showing point. But also, I liked Bitcoin ordinals.
So like, I wouldn't really listen too much to my trading advice.
How are your longs on Raytheon doing?
Maybe I should buy Palantir if we want to see it go down.
I could actually become the top signal on Palantir,
like some of these companies that maybe we're not the biggest fans of,
or maybe we are, I don't know.
But the Palantir chart is unbelievable, man.
Yeah, is there like a war ETF?
I feel like Raytheon, Palantir should all be in like this.
Somebody should just have a war ETF.
Yeah, there's at least a war index fund, right?
I mean, some might consider it bad taste,
but I think that it would take off.
Like, you get some Lockheed Martin in there.
You got Andrew going soon.
Halliburton's got to be in there i think somebody should do it i think it'd be funny yeah and the ticker is just mic it's just military
industrial complex and you're just like yeah you're like dude i'm i'm i'm just like fully
out the ticker's gotta be the ticker's gotta be war that's probably that's the mic is too subtle
okay fair fair maybe that's the i don't know like if you're gonna add in like the intel and stuff
like that maybe it just is like the that's like your your risk on variant or something like that
but uh dude open ai just secured like a hundred million dollar contract with dod like what are they doing for them i guess
everything is going according to plan yeah yeah did you guys see that yesterday james or uh sam
alderman was on a pod and he said that facebook right now is making hundred million dollar signing
bonus offers to open ai employees to try to poach them and then comps that are like over 100 million dollars
and no one is left yet it's kind of it's kind of kind of insane man well they're making it's like
anybody who's anybody in in the ai community is getting these these offers from meta yeah the
100 million dollars gotta be the extreme it's to be probably for one of the few top people or something.
I mean, it's kind of like how Kobe has been posting,
how people have been posting about the luck I owe $500,000 a month deals
to shill a casino right now.
And you're like, man, I don't want to shill a casino,
but I'm not saying my DMs are close.
We might have a conversation about it.
I might just see, oh, is it actually approvably fair?
Impressionable people are going to gamble away their money no matter what you do,
so you might as well profit on it.
I don't know, man. That feels just a little too nihilistic for me i don't think i could get there i think i would
actually i think i would stay you gotta you gotta believe in something it also depends like how much
you made already right like if you're already like if you already have like a hundred million
dollars like it's kind of not very cool to accept that offer.
Cause it's not like you need the money.
that's one of the things that Sam was talking about is he said like people
if you're offered a hundred million dollars upfront,
maybe open AI can be worth more than Facebook someday.
Maybe it makes sense to stay.
One of my bold predictions from this year was that OpenAI would totally collapse
and that Sam Altman would be revealed as something like the next supervillain of tech.
So it's not looking good for me right now.
We're six months into the year.
I would love for him to be a good actor, i remain skeptical so we'll see what happens well like
nothing ever happened with those accusations his sister made like just no one cared everyone was
like she's crazy i yeah i don't know it kind of seems like she might be crazy but i don't know i
have no see exactly they got you yeah they did they sure did get me. James, I remember we talked about like, you're not big on the LLM stuff.
Like you're not an open AI bull long term.
You don't think like super intelligence or whatever you want to call it is like around the pike or anything.
Yeah, there's been some recent papers published also about this, right?
There's this recent paper published also about this right the LM is basically faking like
it's thinking but there's no actual thought there right so in my bullish like my bearish
like their business model no it probably make money they are huge thing is it really like
these robots that are doing like it's
travel to other worlds and build civilization no like they're not that sort of thing and so
i don't i don't think it's going to translate to agi yeah at least this current iteration is not
yeah i mean james i don't know if you had any like takes on the like did you um catch any of
the kind of like clob wars meta that was going on for like kind of just last week and then kind of
died very quickly when there was a real war but uh yeah like any takes on like some of the different
kind of like proposed roadmaps i know you've talked about Hyperliquid before and it's not something you're super interested
but I guess it just kind of seems like
like where the puck is going
and something that hopefully Monad is built for.
Do you have any like read on Clobs in general?
Yeah, I've talked about it a few times.
I think, well, you you know the twitter is like
skid right uh one day you know for two days it's this they're obsessed with one thing and then they
move on to the next yeah yeah bob thing was like there i've kind of just becoming numb to that
sort of like quickly moving narrative changing sort of thinking that happens.
But there's a lot of clubs launching.
I think there's assumptions, some incorrect assumptions that like you can't build a club
on a decentralized platform.
It's going to have good performance.
You know, is it maybe harder?
There might be some aspects that
are harder versus easier centralized but you know there's all different sorts of trade-offs made
i'm not convinced that obviously not convinced that it can't be done and
um yeah we'll see i mean they're they're more efficient, obviously, for capital trading, that sort of thing.
I mean, I think in some cases it doesn't matter that much.
You know, the Kuru is kind of a combination of the name and the cloud.
This also makes sense for a lot of the, you know, non-major coins that don't have a lot of liquidity
yeah yeah no i agree i feel like right now we're kind of at a point where and it makes sense like
it's one thing to say like, you know, decentralization is everything or like decentralization is the whole point and all that stuff. But it does really feel like we,
this has been true for a long time, but that you just can't take for granted that like people
value decentralization because it's not really like an experiential quality that's going to like
improve the experience per se that you have. But then again, like I feel like obviously
decentralization becomes like a hot narrative as soon as like there's a centralized actor that
does something that you don't like, like say a jelly jelly rollback without throwing shaded
hyperliquid or, you know, a sui-cetus hack where they're going to like pause the chain or stuff
like that. So I feel like it's one of those things where it's almost like you're like home insurance, like you're not really going to think too much about
it until your house burns down. But if your house burns down, like you're going to want
some insurance, you're going to want decentralization for your chain. So I do think
that we kind of can't again, just like take for granted because people see like, oh, it's fast
or like, oh, it's, it's doing it's X X, its 0.5 millisecond blocks or like whatever it is, that just clicks.
You just understand at least like intuitively like what the sell is there.
But especially with like so many new market participants, like decentralization is just not something that we can take for granted as kind of like a shared value, even in a space like crypto where you kind of think that that is the whole point.
you even in a space like crypto where you kind of think that that is the whole point so i think we
have to be a little bit more like emphatic in the ways that we like kind of make the case for like
why this is important well i think you know for a quick for a user that's like clicking the latency
is not that um important like if you're if the latency's like a couple hundred milliseconds a human can't
Yeah, so you're if you're 18 in some shit coin you click
You know like the screen's gonna pop up or fill whatever you don't
You're not measuring that so there's no difference between 10 milliseconds 100 all seconds 200 milliseconds for that sort of thing
but I think where it really comes like is the is the decks a good place for you know market makers and you know and and if it is then
they'll quote sort of tighter or they'll put more liquidity that sort of thing so there's ways to deal with that to make the debts, you know, desirable for market makers to quote there.
You know, is it somewhat easier sometimes if there's extremely low latency?
You know, maybe it's easier for them to build in the traditional sort of HFT sort of sense. But I think that those sorts of things,
like prioritizing cancel that specific sequencing,
all this sort of stuff solves a lot of problems.
this sort of stuff only really applies for like major sort of problems.
I think for your mean coins,
all these sort of things,
like people are not that sensitive to sort of the
quality yeah games like how did you get like interested in like decentralized systems like
coming from a background and like trad fi and everything like was there a moment where it like
clicked for you or it was always kind of like blatantly something that was important to you? Like, how did that kind of click for you?
I think like if you're, if you're principal and you kind of believe in,
you kind of hold some sort of libertarian sort of values and, you know, you don't think,
and people say government, but government is really just
other people right like i hate the word government because it kind of like gives more
value to that thing than it really should have like government is just other people
and should other people tell you you know you can't transact or you have to transact this way or
you know this sort of thing and so if you kind of believe that other people shouldn't be able to tell tell you you can't transact or you have to transact this way or this
sort of thing. If you believe that
other people shouldn't be able to tell you
in your own privacy or how you
relate to other people, then you're
a natural believer, I think, in
decentralization, decentralized systems.
I think that makes sense.
Oh. Oh. All right. KB's gone. up up up
for a living and has the worst phone
in the world KB's like phone
like joins Twitter space just like
absolutely dies like four times in a given kb's like phone like joins twitter space just like absolutely dies like four times
in a given space it's like unreal man oh my gosh i love it oh wait maybe she's back all right
oh she's she's cry laughing i think it's good i think we're cooked i think
kb i what was the sleeper word from the space a few weeks back was it uh was it pepsi or
something like that that just kill switched kb's iphone i don't know maybe something
something like that but uh man we're just kind of we're chilling man i've been reading a lot of good conspiracy theories that i can't share
that's fair i do feel like this is one of those times where
just regardless of what side you're on you're just kind of glad that likes on twitter are private
and that people can't really kind of like pop in
I treat likes like they aren't, like that
they could one day not be private though.
think there's a very good play here
There's a good play here, right?
You should create, like if you're a nation state,
create a bunch of accounts on Twitter,
post real controversial topics,
collect the likes, right?
Just build sort of like this huge database
of blacklists sort of material.
And, you know, you have to collect many likes
on the on a given topic right like if it's just one like they could say oh like i had a muscle
spasm my clip but you know they keep liking this sort of thing and just collect it so i i think
there's a lot of like these are called like honey pots right like honey pot is like something to tempt you to stick your hand into the into the
bi so like you know the i think there's got to be a lot of honey pots on twitter a place like
twitter it's just just full of sort of controversial topics oh yeah man that is probably like
unfortunately just so true that like there's probably so many like news accounts that are
just like you know i don't know like one of them is like jews and the other one is like muslims
and they're just like absolutely like yeah just like palanteering us or like cia like watch booking
us and we're just like absolutely cooked i would not be surprised on both sides if that was
happening right now yeah can you believe i mean can anyone really believe that like open ai
or palantir are not running honeypot accounts on twitter like that it just it's such an easy thing
to do and with their technical talent and their scalability and everything, I just can't
There's just no reason not to do it.
I mean, but they've got like Pegasus spyware and stuff.
Maybe it's just not sophisticated.
Do you think that they would do some like that?
An organization would do something less sophisticated like that?
Like they don't really need to know what kind of like dirty likes you have if they can see everything maybe I think it depends on what they want to
use it for like they could sell it to you know have a theory maybe they have
some congressman on there like you know it doesn't have to be controversial it
could be some of the thirst traps for example
you know and you get some congressmen on there like you know these pictures of half naked women
or something right and then and then they just you know sell that data to china i mean or maybe
china does this as well sort of thing they can leverage it so i don't know i i'm i'm going to
download one of these tools that goes back and like, unlikes everything past a certain history.
Cause I just have to believe that like they're collecting this data somewhere.
And then Twitter of course has it themselves.
Yeah. I mean, it's kind of, it's kind of crazy that, I mean, I like,
I guess I just don't know what word to make of the Elon stuff at this point,
but like that Elon is like time to drop the big bomb.
And he's like, Trump is implicated in the Epstein files.
And then like a week later, he's like, ah, like, I regret I mistakes were made on a Twitter account that I control.
And you're like, all right, we're just going to move on from this.
Like, I mean, I feel like it was not, it was either like,
okay, we already knew that like Trump had connections to Epstein or there's deeper stuff
there that we like, don't know, which would probably be pertinent, probably helpful.
And we really have not. And I'm actually kind of surprised because you feel like the government,
or you feel like the media who are just, at least, I think it's pretty neutral to say not
the biggest fans of Donald J.
Trump would be kind of like running with this. And it's just, I don't know.
I don't really watch the news though. So maybe they are, but yeah,
we're just kind of like, yeah, that happened. Like that's, that's fine.
I think they're saving stuff up, right?
If you've watched any of the like confrontation hearings, right.
What was that supreme court got
confirmed recently and they were bringing up stuff that he like did as a teenager
it's basically unprovable right i'm not saying he did or didn't do it but
it's hard to assert guilt or innocence 30 years later right yeah but i think the i think one of
the main problems is why one of the stated reasons, which
may not actually be true,
like things like TikTok is
you're collecting basically
old or something, 13 years old, whatever.
comes into a position of power later,
let's say 20 years later.
And now you have all this sort of like history on them.
You can blackmail them, you can embarrass them,
you can interfere with their hearing,
you can do all this sort of stuff, I think.
Yeah, but then you would have to admit
that you were collecting information on a minor.
Sure, you would feed it to somebody, you know,
or you wouldn't, yeah, you wouldn't, you wouldn't openly admit that you've collected information.
Maybe you leverage that to find some other sort of evidence or something.
In this day and age, like collecting information is cheap, right?
It's just on a hard drive somewhere.
So it's the cost of doing this relatively cheap
i'm just imagining like farcaster data or something like that leaks like
palantir is like running a honeypot for like everybody that's like bullish eth and they're
just gonna like bring back all the like receipts on us someday they're gonna be like oh you believed
in the roll-up centric roadmap like it's over for you and they're gonna just
pollute us that's the that might be the the crypto uh the crypto honeypot that we have going right now
i mean but teal invested in eth though and he also invested in palantir so i think it aligns
fair yeah you never know maybe he's an ETH Maxie. Yeah.
Yeah. I think Twitter should have like where posts disappear after like 14 days or something, 10 days.
Dang. That's not a bad, not a bad idea. I feel like you can set up services for that.
James, if you, if you, I need to look into that like deleter or something like that.
That's probably a good tool.
It might be over for me already, but that's probably a good idea.
The one I downloaded was called Redact.
I'm not showing this because I haven't even used it yet.
I'm not an investor or anything, but check out your dad.
Cleaning up your social media history is not a bad thing.
No, I think that's smart.
I don't know if KB is really going through it right now.
We'll probably wrap up soon.
I just approved her speaker request.
KB is cooked right now. I think it's...
Oh, man. I think it's... Oh, man.
I think she's on lunch right now in office.
She's probably got bigger things to do.
Maybe she snuck her way into the foundation office
and she's just, like, causing wrecking havoc right now.
It's just, like, people are, like, freaking out.
Like, Danny has just, like, just pulled the fire alarm.
Everybody is just losing their minds right now.
We're going to need to send in the Mon-Ed head of security, who I hope carries a gun.
That would be awesome, but maybe not.
James, anything big going on on the on the category side like
you guys are just uh cooking like what's your i mean this so like testnet 2 is live right now i
don't know like any any takeaways from that or like maybe more like validators coming live soon
i mean i don't want to i don't want to press you but i don't know what uh is cooking on your end
just curious yeah i haven't been following testament to that closely but i don't know what uh is cooking on your end just curious yeah i haven't
been following testing it too that closely but it looks like it's a lot more uh geographically
distributed no i don't know if you guys notice that a lot more locations a lot more validators
as far as i know no issues so that's pretty cool. Nice. On the category side, yeah, we're just
Audits are going to start.
Yeah, the testnet 2 looks pretty,
Nice. That's really cool, yeah. I think It's a lot bigger network than testnet1. Go to gmonax.com.
That's really cool, yeah.
I think there's still some concentration in Europe. I think a tactical nuke could take out both testnet2 and Solana.
Obviously, there's just going to be some concentrations where there's more
It's just an unavoidable sort of thing.
some nodes in South America getting surprisingly,
like getting certain data centers in South America is actually kind of hard.
you have to harass some people to get stuff.
scarcer in certain parts of the world.
But yeah, it's been pretty good.
like that is one of those things where like
these were like early conversations
like with my wife when we were like
talking about crypto and stuff where you're like,
well, if like the power grid got
like knocked out in the United States, like your your Bitcoin wouldn't be worth anything.
And I like I don't think that's like a I don't think that's like a bad point.
I do think it's like probably a real thing.
And we have some real power grid issues.
But I'm also like probably in that scenario, like the most valuable thing is like guns
Like that's probably what I would rather be fully allocated to than than Bitcoin or or maybe even Mon. So yeah, man, I don't know. You probably just need to
diversify in, uh, in that way because world war three resistance is smart. And I think it's
something that we should strive for, but yeah, I don't know, man, those tactical nukes, that could
be a, that could be a problem for us all. Yeah.
there's just a spectrum of risk and there's different sort of things you
need for different areas on that spectrum.
And definitely on one end of that spectrum is guns and ammo.
And people say like land and everything,
but you would just take your gun and it takes somebody else's land.
So I don't even know like you know
I think everything eventually yeah I think Bitcoin is also pretty constant
right like this handful of block producers that produce most of blocks
but I'm definitely not expert but I see on Twitter if one of them goes down like if you lose one or two block producers
half power they decide to act up i think it also has a pretty big effect on you know bitcoin do you
i mean james do you ever think about the like bitcoin like long-term security issues that kind
of get thrown around where like people are worried that we're going to have empty blocks and that the network, by virtue of quantum computing,
or just people hodling too hard is going to become an issue for Bitcoin?
I wouldn't worry about quantum computing.
I think the cryptography people have a pretty good eye on that.
I think the cryptography people have a pretty good eye on that.
As it gets closer, they will change the cryptography mechanisms.
But yeah, I wouldn't spend any time quantum computing at all.
And if you follow, What's his name Martin?
Like most of crypto sorry most of the quantum computing companies are just like complete bullshit. So
Yeah, I just wouldn't worry about that in terms of the other thing I don't follow that closely
But I think you know even Bitcoin falls back to social consensus. So I think if,
if there does become a problem that,
it's really just going to come down to the miners and they'll do what's best
for the chain or all those mining companies are heavily aligned.
So Bitcoin being a secure sort of assets.
I just wouldn't worry about that either.
I mean, these sort of discussions like on Twitter, they get attention, right?
So people will post these sort of like baity articles, you know, Bitcoin's at risk or this sort of thing.
But yeah, I just wouldn't.
Yeah. I mean, I feel like there, I feel like we're getting to a place where,
especially I think a lot of people are just kind of like conditioned from the bear market that we're
we are just coming out of or maybe have been out of for some time now a year year and a half
just coming out of, or maybe have been out of for some time now, a year, year and a half,
maybe longer but like crypto twitter is where crypto has lived and happened and i think we
talked about this james when you were on last time but like as trad fi and like institutions
and even just like a different class of investors comes into crypto i mean like here like the
encapsulation of that i think is really just
like that people are talking about the revenue meta which is just it's just kind of retarded
like it's just it's just kind of a uh yeah like you're kind of just it seems like we're just kind
of missing the point and like ct kind of has these like fixations that we get on where we go really
deep down the rabbit hole and we're always trying to be on the pulse of things and there is still alpha and like things that you can learn from
being on crypto twitter but i think that especially now maybe more than ever you kind of have to like
detach yourself in some ways from the echo chamber the bubble that you're in because we're really
just sort of moving into like a different frame or different, I feel like era of the
industry where things might, I mean, look, we always say that things are different, but
like Bitcoin is probably just in like a different asset class right now than like the rest of
It doesn't mean that it's never going to go down again, but it's probably just like graduated
to like a different level of like recognition status as like an asset.
And there's still going, there's still a lot of room
for like alts and different innovations
But I do feel like you kind of have to step back
and not like the whole VC encapsulation,
like people being so anti-VC or just stuff like that.
It's all, I think just like maybe a little bit ephemeral
and we can't probably like listen too closely
to a lot of this stuff because I think it's pretty a little bit ephemeral and we can't probably like listen too closely to a lot of this stuff.
Cause I think it's pretty detached from the real world,
but the real world hasn't really been a part of crypto for a long time.
And now it might actually be in like,
especially with stable coins and stuff like that.
you have to just remember the CT of social media.
So it has all the sort of negative
uh issues that come with social media right but bitcoin is bitcoin is two trillion dollar asset
gold is like 20 trillion the global capital markets are like 200 trillion so you know bitcoin
one is hovering around one percent entire crypto like 1% to 1.5%
of global capital markets.
So it's still extremely tiny.
The whole sort of thing doubles.
right yeah so if there's any sort of adoption um but you know tradition tradify institutions are
So if there's any sort of adoption,
going to stay away from the stuff like they're definitely going to focus on majors because
that's safe bitcoin's not being considered a security by any government for a very long time
years so um yeah that's they're gonna traditional institutions are
like super risk adverse and they're gonna they're gonna direct their energy towards
sort of the stable sort of crypto coins bitcoin ethereum etc yeah yeah and i mean i feel like
that's one of the keys i mean this won't be news to you, James, or I don't think anyone probably who's listening,
but like it does feel like a lot of the Monad-related FUD,
which is like not really worth addressing like in detail or specific or
but comes from this kind of like fixation on cycles and like a short time
It's like Monad's got to get, Monad's got to be live.
Like they're, they're late. Like it's not live yet. But I doads got to be live like they're they're late like
it's not live yet but i do think that if again like you kind of zoom out and you look at like
the big picture this isn't just kind of like copium but there is like a if you were to take
like a multi-decade or even just like a five or ten year time horizon on like a lot of these
things it does seem like like tech that's actually like
worth building taking a long time is not a if anything it's like a green flag and like not a
red flag in that way so i don't think we just want to pat ourselves in the back in that way but i do
think that there's like a real world where we you can just kind of like dispense with like the um
i don't know like dopamine like addled minds of like a lot of ct where you take their
criticisms where it's valid but there's probably just like a lack of perspective it seems like in
a lot of the yeah ways that they're thinking about stuff yeah i mean on the all-con side
stuff comes and goes very quickly right yeah um i think it'd be interesting if somebody just like
did a plot of like ct mindshare for different all chains over like the past five years or something
and see like which you know like when did it when did it rise what was the peak what was the fall
sort of like the mindshare of these different chains and you know stuff flips very
quickly like we were just talking about like
for two or three days it was clobbs clobbs
and that sort of thing so it's just
flipping and if you're in that mindset
yeah then building something
that takes a year seems like a long time
like even waste of time for that sort of thing.
major projects take many years to build.
I think what really matters is like,
can you consistently produce innovation?
like sort of test of anything.
And a lot of chains have always,
I mentioned before, it just been like one trick pony, right? Like to come out with one sort of test of anything. A lot of chains have always, like I mentioned
before, just been like one trick pony.
They come out with one sort of big
feature and then they die
founders, the people there just
don't have anything else to produce
other innovation on the schedule
or they just made so much money by dumping their tokens that they don't have any other innovation on schedule or they just, they made so much money by dumping their tokens
that they don't even care anymore.
Yeah, no, I think that's, I think that's real.
And I know that that's one of the things
that's been impressed upon me.
And I've heard is kind of like your guys take like a category
is like, it's kind of this idea where like
research and like kind of like trying to drill down on like ideas and like what would
work best is hard and like it takes a long time and like not that execution is easy but like if
you can kind of decide that something is like the best solution or like the best solution that we
have right now and really think about it and analyze it from all these different aspects and everything and then you
say okay now let's build it but crypto is very yeah it's not i don't think it's a bad thing to
be like focused on shipping because like the idea of keoni saying like what did you get done this
week is always important but it's like driving towards that goal and there's also like an aspect
of it that's saying like okay well you need to be thoughtful actually about what you're building and if you're always just kind of like oh like
launch pads are the meta now like we need a launch pad or like whatever it is and it's not
kind of serving like the long-term idea or like vision of like what you have you need to be able
to actually think out beyond like what is happening right now because otherwise you're going to be
like last year's thing um like yeah if you're like right now looking otherwise you're going to be like last year's
thing um like yeah if you're like right now looking and you're like i need to build a club
right now not i mean maybe you should and you should build a club it's going to be awesome um
but it's like hot right now like parallel execution was like hot what like a year two years ago and
there were people that had already been working on it for some time so you kind of can't just be like reactionary with a lot of these things but it's actually just kind of like
taking that long view to like yeah see where things are to see where things are headed
yeah i think if you go on crypto twitter and see like what's hot and then you decide to build that
like you're too late yeah yeah like it's over don't even bother. You need to get ahead of, um,
sort of like what the next thing is going to be. But you know, these,
the value of something also is like it's scarcity.
Like how does it build? So, um,
building a good glob is hard. Building a good chain is hard. Like building,
copying somebody else's code and making a couple of pieces is not hard.
There shouldn't be assigned much value to that sort of thing.
Well, guys, this has been awesome.
James, thanks for coming and hanging out, man.
I hope I didn't grill you too hard here, turning it into an impromptu interview.
But I really appreciate you hanging with us, man.
And, guys, it's been a lot of fun. Oh, V oh the crew you've had your head up for a long time brother you should
jump in yeah i wanted to ask question and i knew like that you wanted to end up the space and it's
a bit not about the topic but i had a question for the james i think it's good question to end the
space it's kind of deep question so james what would you do if not crypto like imagine
crypto not exists like maybe like you have your child dream like doctor i know horse riding
teacher painter i don't know what if not crypto uh nothing that interesting no i'd probably be
either in ai or trade, but yeah.
Something that Jason, sorry. I don't have a, I don't have a funny answer for you.
No, I'm not, I'm not good at anything else besides the sort of like technology stuff.
I like it. James, I think you could do stand up, man. You've got the delivery, but, but I like it. James, I think you could do stand-up, man. You've got the delivery, but I like it.
We lost KB. Porn went out for KB.
But she's at the Foundry. She's representing Kuru.
Yeah, Salove, Vakru, James.
Thanks for hanging out with us, guys.
Yeah, guys, we'll be back next week at 9.30 a.m.
Eastern Standard Time with our Kuru Live space live space hey let's see where things go market is kind of down bad right now but uh we'll see how
things play with uh with our friends across the ocean here um and uh hopefully we yeah get some
peace here that would be that would be idea i am uh praying for it so yeah we'll see where we go
been a lot of fun and uh we'll be back next week to riff yeah keep an eye out i think i think i
will be on gainsy's stream this afternoon so that'll actually be kind of fun we should get
some crews going um in the live chat i would love that especially when uh gainsy was going at monad
a little bit earlier this week i really don't want to debate him on that but uh but it could be
fun if we can uh poke just uh just a little bit So it'll be good. We'll just be riffing from,
uh, from Tel Aviv. So we'll see, but, uh, all right, guys, thank you guys for joining and
hanging out. World War III edition, real confirmed it's happening. Um, yeah. Have a great rest of
your Wednesday guys. Peace.
