Thank you. Thank you. Can you hear me?
Hey, hey, Michelle.
Yeah, we can hear you.
Let's give people three minutes or so for sure Thank you. For the someone just joined, we are waiting more people to join as well too.
Please give us a few more minutes.
It will be starting soon. Thank you. Can you hear me?
Okay, I think we can start.
Yeah, well, welcome everyone to this Layer 3 and Pharos Network Tour Spaces.
Yeah, it's Ignacio, head of PD in layer three.
Yeah, it's Ignacio, head of BD in Layer 3.
And today with us is Michelle representing Pharos,
their CMO, Michelle, Michelle.
I don't think we can hear you. okay let's give it a few seconds so we can hear michelle again Thank you. Hey, I think you're back.
Let's see.
Can you hear me now?
Yeah, yeah.
Now I can hear you.
Welcome, Michelle.
Okay. Oh, I was like hear you. Welcome, Michelle. Okay.
I was like speaking myself for like a minute.
It's great that you guys can hear me.
Yeah, it's a pleasure to meet you, Ignacio again, and also all the community members.
I'm happy to be here.
I'm the CMO at the Borrowers Network. I've been in this
industry since 2016, starting my career at traditional finance and also payment and fintech
and during crypto industry doing ICR raise. I was having different shots, such as head of marketing or CMO for different layer one, layer two projects for the past eight, nine years. company and the co-workers or the project itself has very strong narratives and product
roadmap overview too. So I'm happy to be here. To introduce myself, what I'm doing at Tharo is
I'm leading the entire marketing team, setting up the narratives, content, social events, community, and this sort of quest and experience
through the testnet is one of my responsibilities. So I'm very happy to collaborate with Layer 3
and talking, having this opportunity to talk to our community members as well too.
So that's it. Nice Ignacio. Yeah, great to have you here michelle i mean yeah i know you're uh you're a
marketing og you've been you know you've got an amazing experience and obviously now you have a
a huge role in in faros a super important one so yeah i know you're doing a great job there
um but yeah to get it started i'll talk a little bit about the agenda today so um you know you're doing a great job there. But yeah, to get it started, I'll talk a little bit about the agenda today.
So, you know, we're going to talk a little bit about layer three.
We're going to talk about Pharos, you know, in terms of the visions, what makes the chain unique.
We'll talk a little bit about the partnership itself and the campaign that's ongoing.
We'll also see a little bit about Favros' ecosystem
and kind of have a nice overview.
And then we can close out,
looking into the future a little bit.
So yeah, having said that,
for anyone new here, layer three,
so we're essentially a place, a distribution network,
for protocols and apps that want to find their way in the crypto space.
And we have a lot of users that transact on chain that have been in this space for a long time.
We have others that are less experienced.
Nonetheless, they come to our platform to learn.
They come to explore the different chains and developments happening.
So that's why we connect both sides, the protocol and the chains and the apps with the users.
So, yeah, I'd like to start then, pass the baton to you, Michel.
So can you give us a little intro about Phyrus' vision?
I know Phyrus is tackling one of the hardest problems in Web3
in terms of scalability and decentralization.
So yeah, I'd love you to share the vision in general of Phyrus.
Sure, sure.
So easy to understand what Phyr is, we are building on chain finance
layer for real world assets. Not only are there assets in general, but we want to connect Web3
cross chain cap liquidity as well, bring into Web2 capital, trade by capital altogether.
We believe the next wave of the crypto isn't just about speculation.
It's about bringing real capital on chain, like tokenized TL, real estates, carbon credits,
high-vest credit.
There could be stablecoin.
There could be stocks, too.
We all know that this is a huge market of trade buy, which is $30 trillion of TVL can
deploy to Web3, and not only deploying to the Web3, but connecting all the Web3 products
as well, too. So we want to combine it all, Web2 and Web3, get it all together. Our goal is to
support regulated asset issuer, DeFi protocols, and institution that wants to interact on-chain
with infrastructure that is fast and composable and
compliance ready, which is very important for what is happening globally in terms of regulation
on crypto assets and Web3 in general too. So that's the vision of the FIRAs in general.
Right. So it seems like you guys have a vision that encapsulates RWAs, DeFi, what we understand as the Web3 has made it harder for Web2 to be onboarded into Web3 or put together?
I think one of the biggest factors is the regulation and compliance.
I think the US has kicked it off with a lot of different acts that allowing WebTree asset to be recognized as a real asset, but also the regulation door to real world asset onto on-chain as well too.
So I think it is important to have not just another fast chain.
think it is important to have not just another fast chain. As I
mentioned, our advice and also work for six or seven different
blockchains so far. And everyone claims to be the fastest or the
most fast or most scalable blockchain. But that's not just
one important factor. So So we believe that optimizing,
especially for the real world asset finance,
we call it RWA buy is very important
to prepare for the next wave of the crypto.
And here's what makes us different.
So we are modular compliance layer
that there is an option of KYC and KYB for the institution to choose as well as asset graded access.
But also not to mention that there is a native yield function built in support for tokenized yield products fully on chain as well too. Obviously, the high throughput infra is important for the finance.
We specifically built for finance and institution grade blockchain.
So unlike gaming or NFTs or others that is available in the market, we're not really
targeting the ecosystem to gain these sort of debts,
but targeting only finance in general
and design for institution
and deep fight to coexist together.
So we have permission
and permissionless joined on one chain
that some parts of function
will be permission
and permissionlessly too.
So the institution that who has to verify certain data or transaction,
they can choose permission obtained as well too.
So we are building something that is like potting,
reward, capital, asset, and risk.
So you can think of the bars will be giving you the rails to build legally and scalability as well too.
Right. Yeah, that's so important what you're saying.
Because it's true that we sometimes focus too much on speed, which obviously is important for finance, but it doesn't stop there it goes way beyond and and even speed uh you know from from
testnet to mainnet uh things change and it's pretty important um so yeah i think besides uh speed
i know obviously with this vision you have you'll probably be attracting a significant amount of
liquidity so you know i think that's the the second pillar that's super important besides speed.
As you mentioned, if you want to become the financial rails and obviously
Pharos is positioned very well to do that for, you know, to build around DeFi and RWA.
What about the whole, let's say innovation layer?
What is Phyros providing there in its vision?
So I think I explained through most of it too,
but I think what we are tackling down is in terms of other factors is we want to be the leading blockchain for the APEC market from the beginning.
That we are partnering with major tech companies and finance sectors in the industry that we want to onboard regulated and compliant assets on chain.
That's something that's very unique in terms of the tech-wise too.
While I think through my experiences,
having a good ecosystem is the crucial part
of growing your blockchain itself too.
At the end of the year, we're public blockchain,
open-source blockchain. So what kind of the year, public blockchain, open source blockchain. So what
kind of ecosystem you have in your chain is defining your narratives. I actually talked
to many people in the industry. Do you know what their line is?
Yeah, like tech line, the marketing for Solana.
The super team, yeah?
No, I mean like how Solana position themselves as a blockchain.
Do you know exactly how they say it themselves?
Yeah, I guess they're like, I guess the cheap fast chain, right?
This is how everyone perceives them. I think I speak for everyone here, right?
I think, yeah, that's how people like presume of the network, but actually they talking about themselves as a people's chain is for everyone.
So what I'm trying to say here is the narrative comes to you, not like you building the narratives.
The ecosystem actually defines your narratives.
tips. That's why having really like crucial key and we call it killer DFS in your ecosystem
is important. I think that's something we are quite different to most of the public blockchains
out there. We have a huge partnership with N Technology Digital that they're incubating
or also building multiple different products that is going to be onboarding Web2, real-world asset onto Web3.
And this kind of partnership and ecosystem will stand us out for the broader futures as well, too.
Yeah, no, that makes sense.
And it's true that Solana gained their positioning through people.
You know, it's true that it started with speculation, meme coins and stuff like that, which might be better or worse from a subjective view.
But yeah, they're clearly like the retail chain right now.
And that's where everything, even like Pum.Fun and things like that were born.
And that's where everything, even like Pum.fun and things like that were born.
But yeah, I think for me, what's super interesting as well about Phyros is the whole idea of having the dual VM support.
I mean, I think that's pretty unique, being EVM compatible, but also having the WASMA possible.
So I think that is also going to open up a lot of doors for for
for the team that tech um differentiator yeah for sure because we want to not only onboarding the
um evm solidity developers or projects but also institutions wise too that That's why we build virtual machines for easy onboarding as well too.
Yeah. And in terms of the, let's talk about validation in the network. So also I think
an interesting part of it, which is very unique to, to Pharos and, and you know there's always this trade-off uh when you're building
your l1s around hardware requirements so from what i get pharos is trying to lower those requirements
so that basically anyone can participate in the network and it can be more decentralized and secure
um which is not always the case for every chain but but Phyros is moving in that direction.
So I think that's also a good vision around inclusion
and in terms of allowing anyone to participate in the network.
Sure, because I think it is very important to have
globally distributed node or validator as well to board in institution grade layer one,
two, that's what we are mean for also the protocol laws for
different execution for tasks and bypasses. So that actually
leading to a high throughput and lower finality times as well
Yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense it's pretty it's very bullish i like that um very specifically but sounds good so i also want to
touch really quickly on spns um because i i want to make sure everyone understands that. So my understanding is that Pharos has a thing called SPNs,
which stands for Special Processing Networks.
And they're basically similar to subnets, but they're managed differently.
And they're basically a way for protocols to customize for specific use cases.
Can you talk a little bit about that?
Sure. So SPN stands for Special Processing Network. So it's dedicated, customizable blockchain environment.
As I mentioned earlier, we are aiming to onboard different institutions
in finance and institution-grade real world application like where order book, for example,
or any finance trade by company can run entirely their data on chain. That's why you need this
kind of customizable blockchain environment. So it's more of a layer three, let's say,
on the top of our layer one running parallel execution that you can run your own blockchain on the top of it, which is customizable for what you needed.
Like earlier, I mentioned about permission and permission-laced blockchain too.
And also KYC, KYB function needs to be happening on there.
So it is more of our vision too.
We are looking to have a long-term company roadmap
and after the mainnet, we want to run it for,
we actually put down a lot of processes
of how we can actually benefit our users,
validator for example, and community and token holders too.
To have a long term product line
and profit for the blockchain itself too, you need to have a, this kind of services for institution
too. So that's how it comes from the SPNs. I'm not a developer to go through deep details, but that is the idea of why we're doing SPNs.
Yeah, that's a great voiceover.
I think that's for me personally what I always agreed with in other blockchains like Avalanche, this kind of idea.
I think here it makes a lot of sense and is very in line with the vision of onboarding institutions.
So yeah, I'm very keen to see how that develops. But yeah, let's transition into the campaign
itself. So yeah, I'm super excited about that too. We've had great results so far. a lot of people participating. Yeah, I saw already around more than 60K participants.
And then, yeah, basically for whoever is not familiar with this,
it's basically a campaign where you get to learn about Pharos.
You get to learn about how it works, what makes it special.
You kind of flow through into the test net and basically you grab some FOSET tokens and you get to send them on testnet.
You can swap, you can do multiple things, you can send, sorry, lend them.
So, yeah, I mean, what do you think so far, Michel?
I'm pretty shocked with how nice the platform looks and all the teams building.
There's so much to do.
Personally, I really liked
the idea of Primus
of sending via
the social media handle. I think that's
very cool.
Good that you enjoyed it.
I think our community enjoyed it very
well so far.
I think to talk about this, I mentioned that I've been in this industry for eight, nine years doing similar thing like marketing overall.
As a project's perspective, it is very chicken and egg.
perspective, it is very chicken and egg. Like you have to reward your own users for the matter of
the on-chain metrics and followers and community building. And at the end too, there's a lot of
airdrop hunters that will be not staying for a long time. And obviously that actually goes to the token price, which is also related to marketing itself and long run of the project itself too.
That's why I think we have been doing a little bit different strategies for our own class platform too.
That we are rather giving the points, but levels to the users that they can actually contribute for longer term.
But that's what we put a lot of different ecosystem flies to.
We have a great ecosystem team that understands this market very well
and actually creating the best DApps and experiences possible for our users too.
I think that's why I was happy to work with Layer 3 too,
because we want to actually onboarding the new users that has
experienced in DeFi ecosystem itself too,
and was able to contribute and also learning about
forests is very important.
But on the top of that, we actually can offer some different experiences within our ecosystem
to educate our users.
Once you're on our virus network ecosystem, you can actually do a lot of different DeFi
products available through all along too. For my favorite, it's auto-staking actually
because I'm always not really keen
on AI aspect of Web3 part
because I was thinking that
AI is just a tool to help you better.
But I think auto-staking
implies the AI part very well
in terms of DeFi aggregation
and staking and overall too.
So that's why I really like orders taking too.
But as I mentioned that the community itself
is very, like why I'm still working in this industry.
The community actually drive me through where I am
and how the project stands.
If you have really great community
that actually going to contribute to your own chain,
that is what we're arming for.
And I'm really glad that Layer 3 was able to help us
onboarding this great community all along as well.
Yeah, I really appreciate the kind words.
Yeah, I mean, Layer 3 specifically,
we're obviously very excited to be partnering
with Pharos to launch this testnet and the trust in doing so. I think, in general, we
always saw that Pharos wanted to do things differently. And obviously, I think that pays
off. And you can tell also you have a great ecosystem team.
We've done many, many campaigns
and we can really feel the difference at this point.
I guess you too.
I mean, you've scaled many L1s and L2s yourself, Michelle.
So you must recognize how you're doing things differently.
And obviously, it's showing off.
Thanks. Thanks.
So, yeah, I mean, so let's talk a little bit, if we have time, about the ecosystem itself.
So I myself have tried swapping in Zenit and FiroSwap, you know, that's the two I've seen, but
what else can you do? You can lend in OpenFi,
the one I mentioned before,
Primus, that allows you to send, so
basically you link
your X account, so then you can
send directly
X account, which is pretty cool
as I mentioned.
But yeah, can you give me an overview
of the different things happening right now?
Sure, I think we have an ecosystem starting from NFT projects
to DAX for RWA assets,
and also like long-term RWA Assetto as well, who will be the on the finance version for Asian market too,
from very big trade by industry backers
through Assetto as well too.
I think in terms of ecosystem, as we are very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very backers through Assetto as well too.
I think in terms of
ecosystem as we are very
specifically built for
Rw5 and onboarding
Rw7 and Rw7
management
trade and staking
yield generation
those are what
we're looking for.
Obviously, Launchpad as well, too.
So these are the main ecosystem that we have currently.
We announced a few other ecosystems that has not been deployed to Tesla,
but will be coming on main nets such as Morpho as well, too.
And there is a big announcement upcoming that I can't really reveal the info yet, but I'm very excited for the next few months.
And we are waiting for our mainnet to be launched in Q4 of this year
that I can't wait to showcase to the world and our community members too.
Wow. I mean, yeah, very excited. There's a lot there. I mean, whoever is listening to this in a recording, probably like go back a few seconds and listen to that because there's a few interesting things here to hear. I think actually one important thing, having been in the user position, how can someone get enough from the faucet? Because there's a point where you run out of it. If you're doing a lot of stuff, you run out. How can you get that faucet tokens?
a lot of stuff you run out. How can you get that for said tokens? Do you need to wait
every day and so on? Or what's the thing here to do?
Yeah, you can get it daily. But also, we have different regional campaigns within our Discord.
So there's high chances that there is like community gathering, there is AMAs
Actually we have like a karaoke night for the Korean users this, I think Friday too
So you can sing a good song and we'll be getting the FOSTA tokens too, I think
We want to avoid like, because there's a lot of spam or bot attacks on the FOSTA too.
So we want to avoid it from the beginning.
That's why it's very hard to get it.
But there is high chances that if you turn the notification on our Discord and participate in community events.
Yeah, no, that makes sense.
It totally makes sense that it's more restrictive in the testnet. But yeah, I mean, that's pretty much all we wanted to talk about. You know, thanks a lot for attending this, Michelle. It's been awesome. Super happy to be working together. You know, we're actually hosting an event together. So we'll probably see all of you there.
So, yeah, I mean, Michelle, do you want to wrap up with anything specific?
Sure. I think this is very first, like, AMA with the community and the broader audiences for myself after I'm joining FIRO's team too. So I'd like to empathize that we want to, we're here for a long
time. I think I've seen a lot of bad actors in the industry, um, that
the goal is to just launch the token and not just sustain their
own ecosystem as, um as not doing further.
But the virus team is working toward the goal
to make the virus the go-to chain
for tokenized financial products.
And we're not really looking for just TGE after all,
but we're looking for actually five years,
10 years later too.
We want to have a sustainable team and supporting all RWA assets and DeFi products on our own chain.
But also not to mention that I think I actually tweeted two, three days ago that the industry cycle has been very toxic in a way that you raise tons of funds and this funding from the VC goes to
a lot of very expensive infrastructure, the integration or the centralized exchanges
and it dumped on community. So we want to break this cycle and we are planning very exciting
campaigns before the TGE and upcoming Mainnet,
but even after the Mainnet, through the SPN services,
we want to onboard the leading Asian assets on-chain,
and giving users access to the real-ill, not just TVL games,
but also becoming the place where institutions meet defies as well,
that is safely and transparently too. So this is very like beginning of our blockchain. We are a
baby. So you may see that there is not perfection in our marketing business or ecosystem yet, but
please stay tuned. And thanks for Ignacio and Layertree to have this opportunity with me too.
I enjoy the conversation and hopefully do it again too.
Yeah, thanks, Michelle.
Yeah, just to double click on something, I'm super aligned with,
you know, we've seen plenty of games happening in crypto.
I think there's a paradigm shift and there's a lot of teams really focusing on delivering.
I am hands down trusting the Farrows team. I've met everyone in real life.
There's some like cracked people like Janesh, Will, Michelle, you know, a lot of them in real life.
And I have full trust in you guys.
Best of luck, more to come together in Faros.
Thanks for attending.
Have a good day and night. Talk soon guys. Bye.
