treatment and and and therapy and all of that but at this age bro nobody wants to do that you know
what i mean 19 big dog nobody wants to be told you know that you need to be seeing therapists
and shit like that so i totally understand where you're coming from and it's hard for a father it's
hard for a family member it's hard for a family member.
It's hard for anybody, especially to see somebody that they love go through it.
But the only thing that I can say, and I'm always optimistic about this, is young people got time, brother.
And the thing is that sometimes young people, they don't see the bigger picture right away.
Including myself.
It took me probably 27 to really kind of broaden my perception of life and everything else.
But they just need something to look forward to, bro.
You know, when you're in that shot, when you came out of something that wasn't good for you,
the easiest thing is to go right back because you have nothing correct
to uh to fill that void but if there is something compelling whether it's a hobby
whether it's a job whether it's something that you truly enjoy you give up those other bullshit
you know exactly but that's the thing though like i can't get her to do anything and then whatever
you know caused this big depression, which I think I know.
I know what it is and what it was.
You know, the relationship.
She was seeing a guy that was older than her, you know, and obviously it didn't work.

But what I was going to say is explore things that she does enjoy.
And you don't, sometimes you don't know what you like as a as a kid as a young adult as a team

done for me you know because I grew up without my father. So, and maybe I overdid it,

what I mean? But it is what it is. I always deal with a consequence. I always take accountability

not really what i thought it was or things are not the way they are and i think that that's her

fact of you gotta you having to realize that life is real.
And, you know, you've got to start dealing with things that you might never want to even
think about it.

thing you can do as a parent. So don't judge yourself. Just support her and stay with her
at this difficult moment. Well, everyone's experience is different, but I can say I have been through depression.
It isn't a choice.
It just happens.
Well, in my case, it was because of some medication therapy that the neurologist gave me for my chronic migraine.
And those medications drive me to a very hard depression situation.
And yeah, one thing I wanted to say is stopping that medication was the best decision.
And after that, he wanted to treat me for depression with antidepressant and different
medication, which I refused.
And the only thing I will suggest is take her for a walk, take her to do some sport, try to eat healthy.
I know it's very difficult to integrate her in some art or music or anything, something joyful.
And give it time.
It doesn't go away overnight.

But having someone that supports you all the way is very big, man.
So, yeah, I really congratulate you
and you should appreciate yourself
for being there.

We did get to play tennis

And the exercise, I think, my personal opinion, right?
Because I grew up with three things as a teenager that made me really, really not to get into depression, which was volleyball.
I used to love playing volleyball. I used to love playing volleyball.
I used to love playing basketball and soccer.
So it was three things that I did that I really think that it kept me out from, you know,
really falling into a depression whenever I felt like, you know, I was going that route.
felt like uh you know i was going that route because it it's that it's that natural
high that you know i'm saying a lot of us don't even get to experience and i and unfortunately
she was one of them like because you know she never really uh liked to do any of that when she was younger. A hundred percent agree with you.
I have two kids myself, kids.
Well, they are 21 and 20 almost.
So as they grew up,
I always tried to keep them doing sports.
And as you said, my son now, 22 almost,
he loved playing volleyball and basketball, swimming.
He has, I don't know, a belt in karate.
And now he's on boxing and gym every day.
And at the age of 16, 17, he was going every day to the gym,
playing volleyball or anything. And I was saying again to the gym, again to the gym. And he was
answering, do you want me to go smoke and drink or better going to gym? So after that answer, I stopped asking him again to the gym,
again to the gym.
And yeah, he has a really healthy lifestyle.
He's training every day.
And at some point when he had some mental problem,
depression, I can't say exactly,
but he was bullied in the school.
He was a nice kid and he was bullied. And all that stress and that anxious moment, he was training all the time.
And he says that going to the gym is like my therapist is the best thing can happen to me it's like I let there all the bad energy going and
I think sport is a way of fighting anxiety and depression.
And I highly recommend it.
Both of my kids do sports.
My daughter, too, she has danced for like 12 years. She swims.
She has a gold medal in the school for that, in college.
She has done judo.
I don't know, volleyball,
tennis, a lot of
sports. They love sports,
all of them, except my husband
in the family.

sportly and going to the gym
and memberships and my husband hates it so yeah

catching an uber to follow us or something like that it was really funny yeah I'll be honest if
I'm on vacation I do want to relax a little bit get off my feet but it's important to stay active
and as a as a team a lot of my friends just did a lot of things that got into trouble
and uh sports was definitely something i enjoyed that just taught me about community building
leadership team building uh all sorts of great traits and uh i feel kind of sometimes life is
like being on a sports team you know know. But anyways, I think we

or just projects that we collaborate with.
And we started this.
And I think we're already like eight out
