Chevy Malibu right now, and it's probably $30,000 for a car that was $17,000, $16,000,
maybe 10, 15 years ago. It know, it's because their pay scales keep
getting higher and higher and higher. And every time they want a raise and they don't get that
raise, they just stop manufacturing. And then they're like, oh my God, now we, we, we can't
stop manufacturing. So now we're forced to give them this raise and the government steps in and
everybody steps in and says, yeah, you can go
ahead and give that guy, you know, the $72 an hour that, you know, that he deserves to build it.
But then the price of those cars become more expensive and, you know, everything. And it was
done with everything that way. I mean, Nike used to, to i believe manufacture in the united states at one point and so did apple
and they they actually moved completely shut down in the united states um and moved this
moved stuff out you know even though and the funny thing is right it is right and even even though
it is being manufactured uh overseas when the product gets here it's more expensive now
to the consumer it's more expensive because of tariffs because of shipping and important or
importing and uh duty fees and all this other stuff but to the actual manufacturer it's not
more expensive it's actually cheaper because they're only paying that price of manufacturing the actual item.
But by the time it gets from a sweatshop or whatever in China, um, you know, to your hands,
it's, there's so, you know, it's transferred through so many hands and, you know, so much
money has been paid out that that's why you're paying nowadays eleven hundred
dollars for a fucking iphone you know what i mean for a telephone in your hand it's 11 like a
thousand bucks you know and it's crazy so i do the u.s factor too nico is you know they def a lot
of these companies too definitely price gouge a lot and i'm with you on the unions i think unions
are detrimental in certain industries but is that right to unionize, sadly?
But they use the power of the unions, which is super political.

china my personal take is i don't think china is just gonna give in that easy uh to the united
states because uh chinese people have this thing about honor and respect and this and that.
And I think Donald Trump is trying to make a mockery of the people in China and the president.
And I think once they meet, Trump is going to look at him and laugh at him.
And that's just going to really turn him off.
And he's going to feel disrespected.

Right. So we also got like when when we printed a lot of that covid stimulus stimulus at the time, you know, we printed 90 percent of all the U.S. dollars, you know, at that time, like within that very short two year period.

The more money they print, the more gold's going to go up,
the more silver's going to go up in the stock market too.
But the cost of our capital right now is very expensive too.
So the company I worked for, who had a loan,
or they had a big bank, I think it was SoftBank,
that invested $15 million at like 1.5%,
now had to redo their loan at 6%, 7%, whatever the prime rate plus the big on it.
And they laid off like 80% of the company.
So I really hope that that steps up and reduces the rates
because we are going through some economic shit.

then you add on top of that you add on top of that that's going to drive properties value down
across wherever those major city hubs are and people aren't people aren't buying houses people
are not buying houses first of all because of the interest rates people can't refinance their houses
because of the interest rates like you know there's just so much shit going on.

on the market right now,
because first of all,
rents have gone up.
And renting them out.

in order for them to sell a house, they need to find somewhere to live. So why would I give up my
$1,800 mortgage to go pay $3,000 in rent or $2,500 in rent for something smaller?
I might as well stay with what I have and not have to worry about moving out of my place for cheaper to go find somewhere to rent for more expensive.
So that's why there's no houses on the market.
There's no rentals on the market.
We need more houses in general.
We need to build more houses, build more.
But then it goes back to a lot of these union companies like if in chicago you want to build a subdivision you better get a union company to build it or else you're going to
have uh union uh strikers and yeah they're going to be in front they're going to have big big rats
out there non-union uh boy you know dude i dude, I'm telling you, like, if you have a
business, if you want to, like, if I buy a piece of property and I want to build a commercial
building on it in Chicago, right, if I don't use union, they literally put people in front of the
job site all day. They sit there on picnic, you know, chairs and just picket the job site,
you know, they're like, that's how bad it is in chicago with like union i think it's more than just a union i just think it's
government in general and the regulatory process the licensing process there is so much baking
into it now where obviously i think it's just corruption like if they don't like xyz developer
in this city like they will make it so xyz developer cannot build in the city or if
they do build they gotta pay more they gotta do xyz or use a special union or a special company
i i think you know that also needs to get also attacked at the same time because
they're this supposed to be the land of the free you're supposed to get your apartment build the
but now it's so entrenched into every part of the process. They can delay
that for 10 years if they wanted to.
And then you won't even have interest
in the product no more. You go bankrupt
and then you build half a building.
So I hope we can get to a place where
private money can actually get the
permits and stuff they need quickly
and then move. And then put in a bid
for the project. The lowest bid wins like it's supposed
to work, sadly. But that's not the situation or reality we're in right now.
But then you kind of go to, it kind of gets to, okay, so we need to build more houses,
but then we get most of our electrical components from China, right?
