Thank you. Yo, yo, yo, good morning. Good morning. Happy Friday, everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
My favorite day of the week, my favorite time of the week, the time we all get together,
hang out, make a little time to catch up, talk about whatever we're cooking up, whatever's been
going on. I just got finished testing something with Von Doom. So maybe he'll pop in and talk
about that. That was super fun. It's just so much going on on this side, man. And also happy four
year mint anniversary to many of you out there. Like I see a lot of you OGs out there.
Amazing, amazing journey it's been and will continue to be.
I can't believe how fast four years have gone.
We got Illa coming up in a little bit, so he'll join us.
Prince, I see you out there.
If you want to come talk about your event that you got going on soon,
please, please, please come up.
Shout out to the legend, English bulldog in the house we got
so many friends pulling up uh if gene or tiger or sean or dort or anyone who hung out last night
at the um board ape discord event that you guys did with uh board brewing you know come talk about
that as well there's a lot a lot going on in the meantime good cheetah what's good happy friday
how you doing bro good man How you doing, bro?
Good, man.
How you doing, buddy?
Good, good, good.
I'm just excited that it's Friday.
Haven't had a Red Bull, you know, the traditional Red Bull yet.
So, just getting the day started.
I know you love your caffeine.
I'm drinking my coffee black today.
So, I'm feeling good
yeah i know where you're going with that uh good times good times good times
i love this place listen the one thing we are are degenerates and sometimes that comes with some some raunchy funny humor so it was funny uh let's go around the room say what's up to poncho i'm gonna bring
i see illa's in the house we got dilly coming up i just saw dilly's a featured speaker speaker at
nft nyc coming up this year that's pretty fucking cool maybe you guys could talk about that in a
little bit uh in the meantime let me get illa up here as the co-host illa how you doing homie welcome up happy friday playboy happy friday you know welcome to the clubhouse gang happy four-year
anniversary you know like is that that's the that's the energy i'm on man it was great to
see everybody doing a little post talking about you anniversary and the feeling of getting into the Yacht Club
and everyone's sharing their memories and it just brings back those vibes.
And it's always great to get a perspective from other members of the club
on how they heard about the club and how they entered.
And it was dope to see people who minted.
And then it was dope to see people who were like, four years ago, I didn't mint, but I
minted two months ago.
And this is the best experience ever.
So it's been a great week.
I've been enjoying all those posts.
How are you feeling, Baron?
I'm good, dude.
I actually, I want to ask you about your experience.
I think it's kind of funny, as we recall them, for some of us,
like many years in, the things that we recall become different each time. There's a little
bit more of the story shared, maybe there's a little difference in how you've told it.
You know, maybe we've perfected it so much that like, my girlfriend's tired of hearing how I
minted board apes. She's like, I know, I know, I know.
You know, I know the timeline says that as well. She's like, I didn't want a board ape at the time.
You know, I didn't know. A lot of us didn't know how it was going to play out. And that's kind of the fun of it, right? Like I posted my story of when I minted and I had a conversation with the
old OG in the space that I had just bought these four pictures for a thousand bucks
and was like, hope I didn't waste a thousand dollars because when I bought them, all I thought
was these look cool. I'm gonna put them on my wall as like cool art. Years later, I got them on my
wall. Just didn't realize it would take over the whole fucking house. And like their magnificent
fridge magnets that are probably a foot long.
Got paintings of my ape everywhere.
You know, for many of us, it became something substantially deeper than just an NFT project.
Right. And that's why four years later, we're sitting here, we're hanging out, we're engaging, we're working together.
Like there's so many layers to this whole experience.
So I did invite Von Doom up if he wants to come up and talk about what we just did, if not all good.
Ilya, were you there right now?
You know, maybe you were.
It was a digital experience.
Yeah, I was there, man.
I had some issues.
But to be honest, like I was just enjoying the ambiance of the mandreons is i was running around
where i could run around busting shots and i just love the the colors and and you know like
i don't know how much we could talk about it um but i'm here's what what we can talk about illa
is that it's pinned up above, which is the
bathroom blitz, which is what Illa and I were referring to that we tested just a little
bit ago, uh, with Von Doom.
And that was fun.
It was sick, dude.
The colors, the visuals are amazing.
The design is, it's, it's pretty crazy.
Okay, good.
Now that we, I know we can talk about it, man.
I got stuck in the lobby, man.
I got stuck in the lobby. You weren't able to load in? No no i wasn't able to load it now this is just early early early testing on certain stuff but more so the point of it to me was just that it was
fucking dope and as i think about what the community is gonna love this is amazing and
the cooler part right von doom this is part of the odk that you're building on correct
that's right this is part of the ODK that you're building on, correct? That's right.
This is the other side ODK release.
Yeah, shout out to Von Doom.
Great job, man.
Even though I got stuck in the lobby, the graphics look crazy.
Yeah, it's visually very appealing.
It's super on brand.
I mean, it's been great working with PM and everybody else over at Yuga on this.
We've been cooking on it for quite some time.
And yeah, I mean, alpha tests like this are important because we want to get, this was
the biggest test we did so far, right?
Prior, we've done probably like 6v6 or maybe 8v8 on our own, maybe with like a handful
of people from Yuga.
But this was the first time we've actually had like 40 people try to load in.
So it's good for learning just, you know,
what issues there might be with the platform that we might need to address.
And then just getting raw feedback on gameplay is killer, right?
Because it's like, oh, I think that this should be like this.
And it's like, oh, actually, that's a really good point that no one brought up before.
So it's super valuable.
That's why, I mean, we did the whole feedback form of you guys.
And anybody that was in, please fill it out and give us, you know, any feedback at all,
no matter how minor it might be.
If it's something negative, we want to hear it because this is the time to fix and address
that stuff.
But I mean, the feedback I'm seeing so far is super positive, which is exciting. negative we want to hear it because this is the time to fix and address that stuff but i mean
the feedback i'm seeing so far is super positive which is exciting so yeah i'm confident um
yeah i'm super confident the community is gonna fucking love it and not only our community man i
feel like this is something that the whole space can can get down with because i was in there as
my ape but it was good to see the Voyagers and there's a lot of
people just playing as Voyagers and I could
I already know like most of the
space when they come in and play it
they're going to come in and play as the Voyager
and it just looks super
clean, bro.
Yeah, yeah.
Everything that is
playable in game looks really good.
The CODAs are like the ultimate hack, though, because their hitbox is so small.
So I know that we want to do some testing on our own.
But I mean, I think it'd be dope to do like CODA and CODA matches.
You know what I mean?
Where you have the option to play CODAs only.
And maybe there's like a CODA championship at some point.
Yeah, I like that.
That would be hella fun.
A little cheat code. Maybe Codas,
shoot, maybe it's less damage or something, but
it's harder to shoot them or something. I don't know.
But it looked great to me. They are hard to hit.
There's so many, and if you've got to explore around
a little bit, there are so many Easter eggs. I mean, we pack this thing with stuff that like everybody in the room right now would stumble on and be like, oh don't know, like fucking joyful experience, especially those first couple of times as you kind of explore and you go through all the nooks and crannies and you see the myriad of Easter eggs that that were there.
It's crazy how much stuff we stuffed into this thing.
Like we always plan.
We always like just as a company company we've always like put little things
in every project no matter what and a lot of the enterprise we used to sneak we had like a ninja
that one of our guys built out years ago so that ninja has appeared in i don't know like 150 200
different projects and these are projects like shit for like Gulfstream or shit for like
giant hotels and casinos and things where we'll just put this ninja somewhere hidden.
And one time someone found it, they were like, what is this thing? So it was kind of funny,
but we always love, we always love being able to sneak stuff in places. It just makes it more fun.
I appreciate you coming up, man, and getting us all excited about what's coming
down the line i i just love knowing about all the different odk builds that are coming too and seeing
how fucking amazing visually they all have been that i've seen any of them so it's exciting a lot
of cool shit coming man feel free to hang out with us if you guys haven't followed von doom already
he's a super og legend in the club and one of the amazing builders
who's always just helping this space move forward.
So appreciate what you do.
You and Ben White with your show, man,
has been entertaining as fuck lately too.
Yeah, thank you.
I love working with that dude.
He's great.
We're definitely enjoying building that out
and it's been good.
We're getting a lot of people pulling up, which is fun.
I'm looking forward to being able to talk about all the other stuff that we're building.
But I can't do that yet.
But there's always something.
You got to always leave them, you know, wanting a little bit more.
That's my rule of travel, too.
Whenever you go somewhere, you don't see everything.
So you have a reason to go back.
You know, like, that's how I do it. Appreciate you, Von Doom. We're going to go back that's you know like that's how i do it
appreciate you von doom we're gonna go around the room say what's up crypto dilly what's good
happy friday how you doing bro i'm doing good super stoked to be uh at the clubhouse hanging
out with all you guys happy four year yo happy four year you know what let's let's do this dilly
you've been around for a minute
how's how's your experience as a club member been like what's it been like
to be in the board a bar club to you uh i mean i would say opportunity uh is probably the biggest
thing that i take away from the club i mean being uh able to go to all the IRL events, I think if you haven't been to one, that's probably the biggest aspect of the club that I enjoy the most because I get to network with a lot of like-minded individuals that are all very entrepreneurial.
And so that's the super exciting aspect of it for me. And I mean, all the cool shit that the Bordea Biak Club continues to, you know, push out and build.
I mean, that's what it's all about for me.
And I love it.
Dude, I think that's super poignant.
I was thinking about that last night myself as I was kind of thinking about my story, but from a little bit longer of a perspective.
I'm like, what is the thing that's kept me here the whole time that That's gotten me like that, that feeling of like, I never want to leave this space. And
it's the networking aspect, 100%. Cause like last night and I invited some of the folks who were
part of it, a bunch of board apes, just like hung out in the discord, having board brew and just
like talking about web three, talking about life, talking about kids, talking
about whatever, you know, and that's something that you don't really find as an adult. You don't
find like a new group of friends that you're going to sit down on a Thursday night and crack a beer
and just talk for three hours about whatever they ran three hours long guys. So, you know, like,
I think they're going to start doing more thirsty Thursdays. I think, you know, Tiger, tell me if I'm wrong.
Maybe that's not the right one.
But I popped in for a while.
It was cool.
And I love the fact that there's just always networking, whether it's digital, whether
it's IRL, like you pop into an IRL experience, you break bread.
Now you got a connection that goes deeper, right?
Like, I think about Lisbon.
The first thing I did was I had dinner with Asif next time, next night. I had dinner with Gene
and Grateful and Tino. And these are lifelong memories. You know, you, you, you remember those
moments more intensely and then you go back with a deeper connection. And that's something incredibly
special about this space.
Yeah, that's for sure.
The memories you make are, they really, I don't know who came up with that ad.
I think, I don't know if it's a credit card commercial where they say it's priceless.
The memories are priceless, man.
Like, that's really what it is.
And that's just life in general.
That's something I found in life in general.
That's why I it is. And that's just life in general. That's something I found in life in general. That's why I travel so much, because it doesn't matter how much money you make.
The joy isn't looking at the bank account. Now, don't get me wrong. I do. I do love looking at a bank account and seeing money staring back at me because I remember being broke as hell and sleeping in a car.
So I do enjoy that. Look at them. Zero staring back.
So I do enjoy that look at them zero staring back.
But if I'm not going to utilize that to have freedom to enjoy myself and to have memories, then it's useless because tomorrow is never promised, man.
The memories you have is what makes you truly rich.
And I feel like now there's some people who have all the money in the world and they're still not happy because they don't have connections.
They don't have friends. So I know for a fact there's people in this club that may have come in with a ton of money.
Right. And they go to Ape Fest and they're like, this is why I really joined this club.
club this is why i came to the space this is why i came to web3 like 2021 was more than nfts 2021
This is why I came to the space. This is why I came to Web3.
was a year that you you form digital bonds and those things carry on to this day and i feel i
really feel spare and you i'll be thinking i'll be feeling bad for people who joined the space in
2024 and they think that the space is all about shit coins they have no clue what was going on from the transition from
clubhouse to twitter spaces there was a special moment right there like the thing that happened
on clubhouse everyone being on like this this digital pen pal shit that was going on then you
came to spaces from uh from clubhouse and everybody was just coming on here and then going to the discord and
then it was a special moment then when it went to we had it was cool online it was great and then
it just went it got to irl it just took it to a whole nother level it took it to a whole nother
level and the the crazy thing is like none of it was planned that's how you know it was like
ordained there's something spiritual about this shit people may think i'm tripping i don't care
i'm somebody who's who's a spiritual person and it these guys the founders thought about this shit
in a bar talking shit drawing the shit out on a napkin then was like yo we should do merch like
nobody was doing merch like let's do merch so when people
see each other in the the community goes out and they maybe see each other they can they have like
a a hallmark a calling card they see each other with a hoodie they know that they're part of this
club fucking groundbreaking idea something that's super simple as that then you take that and you
take all those people who bought the merch and oh let's throw an event for them so when they they could all wear the merch at the event and then there's true camaraderie then
fucking there's a line in soho blocks long for people trying to get ape fest tickets with these
with the the merch on like those moments were not like planned ahead of time it was just like
conversation and it just was it changed people's lives so i feel like it's it's up to us and i love
the things that von doom is doing i love the things that reed is doing because these are
conversations that you have with friends and you build something and it could turn into something
truly special so it's not no idea is just like something that gets thrown away especially if you
put if you action against it so that's a long my long form way of
saying we got something special here and like you should you should cherish these moments because
all this stuff is fleeting man yo like uh to to kind of i kind of want to share like
you know my thoughts too you know baron you're thinking about like what why what keeps me in
this club like what makes it special and like you know you know briefly what, you're thinking about like, what, why, what keeps me in this club? Like, what makes it special? And like, you know, you know, briefly what I've learned about why I love
Bordeaux Yacht Club is, you know, over the last like five years, I see myself right before I got
fully into the club, you know, because I'm not an OG, I didn't admit, but a lot of us can probably
relate to this idea. You know know you uh you jump in a collection
you know the discord blows up there's a community and then it dies down or goes away and then you
find a meme coin and you jump into that and you're like you feel like you're meeting some
people in there and then it dies away and you kind of bounce around to these like temporary kind of communities. And after doing this for a while,
BAYC was consistent the whole time. And I, and I had my eye on it. And like,
over the years I got in, you know, I got in and now I'm like coasting and like on this train with
a consistent club, this, this club ain't, it's not going away. If you're passionate about this space, if you love Web3 and tech, got my tribe.
My tribe's going to be here next year.
I can grow with my tribe.
I can keep on the ride and not have to jump around and just know that I'm with a club
that is going to be around.
And then all the cool shit that's
coming and all the unknowns, it's like, you know, you get on the best train and it's like,
I don't need to train hot no more, you know? Yeah. I love that. I was, I, it's finding your
tribe is the part that hit with me right there. Cause, cause that's part of what it is, is you,
you get older and some of you guys like are, are, you know, younger in your twenties, whatever thirties, there's a lot of groups in
the thirties and forties range in this club. But really what, what I love about four years in,
there's such a variety of people there. There's not such a specific type of person in the club.
And that just means there's more interest as we grow, right? We're finding people who vibe.
So it's more about the actual tribe and less about,
I love to say this here,
it's less about your physical appearance
and more about like the quality of your character
and what you put in the work behind the PFP, right?
A lot of us have built these characters,
these PFP characters that we associate with super,
in the weirdest fucking way, very realistic, super
realistic. Like I dye my hair pink to amplify looking like my ape. When I go to events that
became part of my character. Right. And I never thought to do this when I was younger. Now we
have this tribe. And when I think of you guys on stage and I look around the audience, I see new
faces, old faces. This is the best way to describe it, Guchita.
This is our tribe.
We fuck with each other and we come to hang out and support each other.
We see a lot of that through Ape Chain, through so many of you guys dropping projects.
I had an ape DM me and ask me to pin up the wind pad thing he's running up above.
Really cool thing that's being built by a community member we got chef poncho poppins up here who's got his project you know
and he's cooking up so i'm gonna throw it to you right now if you don't mind poncho what's good
happy friday how you doing bro yeah yeah just uh amazing day yesterday it was poncho's birthday for
sure four years uh ended up in the discord we had a simultaneous like poker game going on with Baca in his space.
And we were kind of, you know, hanging with Tiger and Sean and, you know, Javier and a bunch of others.
And, yeah, it was just fun, you know.
And, you know, just to piggyback on what Illa was saying, it was like, you know, we had the clubhouse, the Twitter spaces, but now like when we get into bubbles,
I mean, did Garga like design that for me? I mean, like we're going to have bubble spaces.
Can we put a poker table up in a bubble and, uh, host the spaces up there and like run around and
twerk around a poker table and have fun there would be awesome,
you know. So, yeah. So, you know, the IRL is what I've always been about. I'm an IRL,
you know, public artist. My partner in the bubble gum machine is Jennifer English. She's
30 years plus in hospitality. And that's really what, know the uh the IRL food experience of like going to
the grocery store and get some great food but also dining and cocktails we got so much stuff planned
um but you know the bubble gum machine that we had in Lisbon is now digitized so I appreciate
everyone's support to like really uh get up there and uh you know grab your bubble gum, win a prize,
and then see what kind of IRL surprises we have in store for you.
Because between the two of us, we have so many connections in Vegas for Ape Fest
and just some alpha going in the background.
I can't really say, but it's uh amazing uh how this has evolved and i think the
story that most people don't realize is poncho poppins was my actual dog in 2021 and he wore like
monkey pajamas and sailor suits he was like this cute papillon and we had him, but he died like shortly after I acquired Poncho.
And so I decided to transition him into our little monkey, into the metaverse.
And that was sort of how, you know, this ape got his name was Poncho.
He was a finicky eater. I had to cook for him. I mean, there's all these things. It just, you know, he,
I posed him in little, like, in front of the, like, stores where they had, like, I'll have to
dig these pictures up, but a monkey in a banana boat, and I put him next to the monkey in the
banana boat, and you put in the quarter, and the ride happens, and then he had a little, like,
speedboat that he drove, and he put his hands up on the steering wheel,
and I took a picture of him.
He was another little character like Baron Von Hustle.
Yeah, Coda.
Coda Von Hustle, sorry.
Yeah, I'm just...
Oh, dude, that's legendary.
You told me the other day there's a little bit more to your story.
Anything with a dog attached,
targs on my heartstrings, I think,
like many of us out there.
Yeah, he was our guy, man.
He went all over restaurants in New York City
because he had separation anxiety,
so he'd put him in his little stealth bag
and take him into restaurants.
My wife would just give him a little ice cube
and keep him calm under the table,
and then he'd pop out,
and all of our friends would be like,
oh my God, it's Poncho, what's going on?
Nobody was the wiser.
He was just a cool, chill little dog.
But we couldn't be separated from him.
So, you know, he just went everywhere.
So, you know, there's all that kind of backstory
and things that we built into our, you know, Poncho Poppins chef.
And so we're just building up on that
and helping have fun, IRL,
and share some good food, break bread with all y'all.
And Vegas is going to be lit.
So appreciate your support.
I'm just mad that I didn't mint like everyone else, bro.
Let's just be real here. I'm with you, dude. I'm still mad about that. I'm with mad that I didn't mint like everyone else, bro. Let's just be real here.
I'm still mad about that.
So, Illa, here's the eternal question.
Is it better to have
minted and not kept any
or have joined slightly after and still be in it?
You know what I mean?
Well, that's you and me, right? i didn't mean either no i was like i'm just kidding i'm just kidding yeah if
if it hurts my heart when i see people that minted and they minted four or or five and like sold them early or whatever it was,
whatever happened.
And then a year later, them things was worth 400 grand.
I'm like, oh.
You want to hear?
I traded two away.
I minted four.
I gave one to my brother, you know, and then I traded two away.
Traded one for a LeBron James dunk,
which was not even like a super
rare dunk and i traded one for two sandbox plots of land so you know but you got to diversify oh my
god let's be real honest when it all kicked off none of us knew it would grow to be what it was
so i was like i want a little bit of everything and i'm gonna hold one of everything and see which
one pops off but right off the bat once i understood the ip i was like, I want a little bit of everything, and I'm going to hold one of everything and see which one pops off.
But right off the bat, once I understood the IP, I was like, oh, shit, this is fun.
Let's start making the boring show.
Let's start adding value to this character.
Let's start defining what the story is, you know, and having fun with it.
I think that's part of the superpower of the club.
And when people be like, who cares about ip it's always
from somebody who doesn't have no type of creative juices flowing in their body it's like bro sit at
your desk job and pipe down you you don't understand the power of ip or else you wouldn't
say something so stupid like ip is everything if you know what to do with it i wake up as a musician
for a living and create ip
out of thin air something that i didn't have in my head before i went to sleep or when i woke up
and i go and create it in the studio has changed my life multiple times so that's the power of ip
it's literally the most powerful thing it's it's it's uh what's it call it man lightning in a bottle
that's what it is that's what that's what
it really is so when people say oh with ip and that's what got me into the club i'm like wait a
minute so wait this company has a how much of a valuation and they're not protecting the ip they're
giving it out they're fractionalizing and giving it to to the people that are in their community and they could build on top of that that's it's still i don't think people really understand how powerful it is until
i think we got another couple years and then somebody's gonna make something that cracks
why maybe it's it's uh it's friends chocolate or something there's gonna be something
or a von doom game there's gonna be something that cracks this shit wide the fuck open with that ip and then there's gonna be a the grandest aha moment ever and i'm
gonna be right there with the popcorn extra buttery i mean the real shit is it's only been
four years as the whole club even really existing right and to think about the roller coaster that
we've all been through but how much people have built, continue to build. I think about this a lot too.
The main thing, Illa, might not even exist yet.
That member who's going to create that thing may not have even joined yet.
And I see a lot of old members, new members bringing in their friends,
bringing in just people they think are cool.
And that's kind of been the shift lately that I've noticed on the timeline
and I see a little bit more is people they love to build with their ip but they also are just fucking dope and do really cool
interesting things and just happen to be in the board ape yacht club and that's a fun way to kind
of understand what the network really is like who is illa in real life like who is von doom the
person you know and when you start to understand those things and you get to know who's behind the PFP, like I heard Gene last night, Hey, uh, you know, so, and so I got to
talk to you about this business deal. So nonchalant in discord, but those kinds of things don't happen
unless there's all these layers of foundation built upon it that you can just throw something
like that out to someone and go like, Hey, we're going to cook. Let's, let's talk about it. You
know, with that said, one of the people in the club who's always been cooking, now he's got a merch
ape to go with his merch king title. What is the title that you have in the club as the merch king?
I don't like to give myself titles, but if people want to call me that, I'm happy with it.
I think the Baron has named you the king, right?
I think that's how that works.
I'm good with it.
I'm ultimately good with it.
But either way, I had to make sure to make that purchase so I can, so I earned the title fully.
But no, I wanted to come up and say, you know, yesterday was dope, was also my BAYCversary.
And, you know, it was actually surprising to hear that a lot of you guys here up here also didn't mint.
Like, I didn't mint either.
But for me, and I know it's, you know, kind of a sensitive topic, but, like, I feel like what makes you an OG isn't, like, if you mint it or not, right?
Because there's definitely people who have minted and haven't done anything and haven't you know been to any events or contributed to the
community it's it doesn't matter when you got in but it's I think what matters is like what
how much you've contributed to the community or you know have how much have you participated
you know how much have you like indulged in all the things, you know, clubhouse, right? Like that's what, to me,
that's what makes you part of the community and as OG as,
as you want to be in that sense. So that's, that's,
that's all I'll say on that piece. You know, and then it also last night,
you know, we, you talked about the,
the virtual happy hour that we did in the Discord,
which is fun.
I was like, we haven't done that in a while.
I think Electra was in there.
She was saying, dude, this is the busiest the voice chat has been
since the last crazy minute, like other side or something.
But no, that was just cool.
It was, you know, board worrying.
We're getting ready to launch our,
the sort of the next phase of the brand.
Obviously we're going digital and, you know,
obviously that's going to be on ape chain. And so we thought, Hey,
let's just hop in the discord and just talk shit with the community.
And we, you know, hopped in public so anyone could pull up and, you know,
we, we got to chatting about any, every, anything and everything. You know,
we talked about merch.
Is it merch or is it apparel?
We talked about Myers-Briggs styles.
And of course, we talked about beer and all that stuff.
So it was fun.
And I'll say in terms of the project, I can't say much but all I'll say is if you own an ape or a mutant which should be a lot of people in
this room, go follow
board underscore bishop
by the weekend and have your
notifications on and then we'll go
from there. But it should be fun. It should be a fun ride.
Thanks for having me up.
Gotta find... Oh, you guys
don't have a post up yet.
We got to find a way for people to find that easier so they can give it a follow.
Yeah, I'll do a post and then I'll try to pin it up.
Yeah, I want to also add, that's just really cool.
The latest update, the core ruling for Apple is really fucking cool.
um is really fucking cool just like allowing you know crypto to be easy to purchase and nfts such
you know nfts and not having like a that 30 tax so i think that's going to really elevate like
you know brands like you know with gene what you're doing like having that app store just
being able to like mainstream all this crypto stuff i mean it's going to go huge and it just
happened so i can't even imagine the future the future looks really exciting honestly it's such a massive win that that finally went through yeah after the appeal
100 kudos to epic for doing that you know because they literally by challenging um
apple like they did in that suit because i, Apple has more cash on hand than countries do,
right? And a lot of that comes from the pockets of developers and builders for 15 years since the,
for 17 years since the iPhone came out, right? They've been charging 30% on every purchase.
Insane. You know, and the fact that Epic willfully violated the terms of service for Fortnite and got kicked off the App Store globally, that cost them, honestly, probably $50 billion.
$40 to $50 billion over the last five years.
They were making so much money on in-app purchases, and the game was going like crazy.
It's still making money, but this is one of the reasons
when they had those layoffs like two years ago,
part of that was because of this lawsuit,
because they've been putting so much money into defending this
and pushing it forward because Sweeney really wanted to see
the back broken on that 30%.
So it's really good timing.
Yo, go for it, Jake.
Hey, sorry, it's a little hard
for me to hear. I'm out on the island
right now. I just wanted to say happy Friday.
Proud to be a part of the club. I'm out
here in the islands onboarding, folks.
Love to see y'all out here.
Say hey, what's up, Kaylee?
What's up, Kaylee?
Yo, I love that wherever you are, you pop through just to be like, I love the club.
Okay, bye, guys.
That's sometimes all you need is just like, yo, I'm still here, repping.
Okay, bye, guys.
Have a great day.
It's fucking dope.
You too, man.
I love you, bro.
Be safe out there.
Party hard.
But don't do anything I wouldn't do which is i mean listen i
was in college for 15 years that's a different line for a lot of people we got some homies up
here uh but we got spend that just came through i don't know why i said it like that but we got
spend what up homie how you doing happy friday gg sorry i'm not enough bro no i'm joking happy
friday thanks for having me up hope everyone's
Doing great and you know enjoying their anniversary
Post and I know we'll probably get a couple more
Rolling in throughout the weekend so
Hell yeah great vibes thanks for having me up bro
Appreciate you man we're gonna jump
Over to you in a second talk Ape Chain
You know see what you guys are always cooking
It's been every week has been
A hell of a week there's no slow weeks here
In Web 3 and there's definitely no slow lanes in the swamp.
You guys are always cooking.
Shit, we're always cooking a lot on the club side.
There's just so much going on, so many moving parts.
I can't wait till we get closer to ApeFest, and there's more to be talked about then.
There's just so much on the horizon line, which is part of what Illa and I were talking about.
Like, what can we say?
You know, like, what can we actually say out loud?
We'll keep rambling until Boris cuts us off, basically.
And then Boris will tell the bosses.
That's why he's here, guys.
Boris, what's good with you, man?
Happy Friday.
How are you feeling?
I'm feeling hype, man.
Again, I think the Apple thing is just massive, massive for onboarding.
Yes, the 30% was huge, but being able to allow crypto builders and crypto payments and stuff like that is just massive for this entire space.
I'm just bullish, man.
Crypto is doing well, in my opinion.
Just excited for this club.
A-Fest coming up.
I can't complain, just excited for this club. A-Fest coming up. And I can't complain, honestly.
Love this club.
Sorry about my kiddos.
All good, dog.
I was using that as an opportunity to pin something up above
to share what the Bored Canada Club, Bored Canadians,
are working on.
They got an event coming up on May 15th.
So if you're up there and you want to go hang out, go, go, uh, to the pinned tweet above, go to Prince's page, uh,
wherever you got to find it. But, uh, just love that apes are always looking for ways to get
together in real life, have some fun and, uh, take, you know, take the IRL experience to the
next level. Uh, I got to make it up to one of these Canadian events. THC, Mr. THC,
have you ever been to one of these Canadian events?
No, I've never been
to Canada. I've never seen anything
Canadian. I don't even know if that's a real place.
All I know is that they're taxing
us extra. I'm pretty sure if we want any
syrup products, so no, I can't
say I have. Don't let
Peter Parker hear that. I know he's somewhere
creeping. He's probably raging right
now yeah he's probably got a 45 bottle of maple syrup ready waiting for me see you peter
we got maple warfare but like speaking of peter parker right like what gene said it's not about
like how long you've been here he's been here not so long but he's done so much for the space like
he's just he feels like an og at this point
so you know i think the thing to remember too is the time horizon we are still very very early guys
we joke and just a lot about like og mentor whatever all of us listen if you can still
contact the founders of these companies through x and they're responding to you we're early as fuck
you know the fact that garga and figgy and and these dudes are available to like pop on spaces all the time and talk that means
we're early as fuck so if people are joining now maybe in a year still they still may be ogs down
the line when we're 10 15 20 years into this because so many people in web 3 come and they
realize oh i'm just gonna do this for the rest of my life. Why? Why haven't why hasn't this existed forever?
Like, I remember the first time I found crypto immediately, it just clicked in my head.
And I'm like, oh, this is the future.
All I need is my phone and Internet.
Cool. My whole life just changed.
Right. And a lot of us felt similarly.
So I'm going to actually throw it back to spend or loss.
We are kind of at the middle of the hour we do open it up
and talk about ape chain i want to throw it to you guys if you have anything you want to talk about
uh let us know anything we may have missed this week on ape chain oh man yeah if you weren't
paying attention you probably missed out on a lot i think we had a pretty interesting week across
the board from you know whether it's new things rolling out on ApeChain or giveaways or, you know, fun polls and just messing around with the community.
So I think to touch off, you guys may have noticed the Think Agent partnership with ApeChain and also how we're rolling out various Think Agents to our builders throughout the community.
So I would definitely keep your eyes peeled on the ApeCoin page.
And, you know, if AI is something that you're interested in really building with, you know,
there's still a good bit of Think Agents that we're getting out in batches over the coming days and weeks.
So keep your eyes peeled. Make sure to engage with whatever you see coming out.
And, you know, we'll get one of those agents in the hands of you, in your hands, excuse me,
and also connect you with their team as well.
Shout out to the Think Agents team.
They've been really, really, you know, open to connecting with our builders and kind of noodling on ideas.
And as, you know, things are coming to life with Think Agents and Ape Chain, you know, we want to make sure our builders are in the forefront of that.
So pretty exciting there.
Pivoting quickly, I don't know, you know, I know there's been a bunch of Apes out there in Dubai
But you may have noticed
ApeCoin in the skyline of Dubai
Shout out to Hazel for getting that together
That was pretty dope to see
Outside of that
Shout out to Zed
The Regens
With their reimagined mint
They hit over 10 million NFTs
Minted on ApeCh. It is a free mint.
Be careful minting with your main wallet like I did or your whole wallet will be reimagined with some new stuff in there.
But, you know, it's been cool to kind of see him, you know, push onboarding, right?
Like he's looking to bring more wallets onto Ape Chain.
There has been a little spike in wallets and also a spike in you know gas fees and transactions so uh appreciate him kind of
pushing the good word of ape chain through his art uh and yeah i think you know you had mentioned
briefly nft prince and uh the canadian ape club i do believe they're working with something
they're working with consensus uh with the next consensus event in toronto um i'm i'm not
misspeaking there right right, Barron?
They are doing it.
No, you're correct.
Amazing. Thank you for clarifying.
We do want to mention, keep your eyes peeled for this,
but Wabam will actually be speaking there on the 16th.
We'll have a lot more information in the coming weeks,
so I just want to throw that on your radar.
If you're looking to attend, Wabam will be on a nice panel
talking about NFTs, Ape Chain, and meme coins.
And yeah, you know, yesterday we had the first ever Ape Chain game night.
And this is something we're going to look to continue to do throughout the weeks.
And, you know, shout out to Craig.
Shout out to Jay from our Chimpers fam.
They're, you know, streamers.
They're hardcore gamers.
They came down into the Ape Coin, Ape Chain Discord, brought down their homies,
brought in some great friends, and also shout out to Dynasty, long-term builder in the ape coin a chain discord brought down their homies brought brought in some great friends and
Also, shout out the dynasty long-term builder in the ape community
This is where I got to jump in because you said that so casually and I was immediately like what the fuck was a chain game night
squeeze me baking powder
Yeah, fill us in a little bit more dog. What is that all about? That sounds awesome. Yeah, thank you, man
Yeah, a chain game night. We're looking to kind of have this ongoing throughout it's going to be
hosted mainly in the eight chain discord but also possibly throughout the chimpers discord
alternates discord the main gist of it is uh you know kind of bringing light and uh trying to funnel
in you know a nice game session for games that are building on a chain whether it's alternates
whether it's you know the chimpers, whether it's something new, right?
We know Foxy Fam is looking to make their way over. We know there's things like Swords of Blood and other things across the board.
So one thing that we've seen is, you know, while there may be gamers here and there, you know, it tends to be magical when you can, like, align and get a bunch of people into the same session,
especially, like, shooter games that need, you know, multiple people on teams, XYZ. It tends to be magical when you can align and get a bunch of people into the same session,
especially shooter games that need multiple people on teams, XYZ.
The gist of that is stay tuned to the Ape Chain Hub.
They did repost a couple posts of Ape Chain Game Night,
so if you missed that, you might need to turn on the retweet notifications as well to make sure you don't miss out on anything.
I'll be sure to be a much louder
on the next one and get some ape coin folks a b a y c folks in there as well but yeah i guess the
main gist of this is just a bi-weekly or weekly wherever it really fits depending on the games
uh a session where towards the end of the day uh for maybe an hour or two we'll come together and
we'll you know try out whatever new games are coming onto Ape Chain.
Tie-in contests, tie-in.
With Altinus, there was a scavenger hunt where if you hit eight targets and posted it,
you were entered into the raffle to win Ape Coins, some Ape Chain NFTs, XYZ.
So definitely be around the same breath of kind of fun there.
Come down, hang out with us check out an
ape chain game and possibly win some rewards see that's the thing that spin i keep trying to tell
people is that people don't understand what's going to happen once other side really goes live
because it's a platform people like oh it's a game no it's a platform for other motherfuckers
who are building games to come and like you can actually port your game into other side eventually.
And then you actually have people from Web3 that are gamers that can actually pressure test your
game. And it may, at least you have an audience to actually like play your game and see if it's
good or bad. And you actually get that feedback and there's a
ton of people building games not only just regular people in the space there's like projects that are
building games when i told that to um to zagabon when i seen him in f1 vegas i seen the light bulb
go off in his head i'm like yeah we're not gonna do an m a mike but i would love to if y'all you
know we use y'all um resources to tell the story
the story of curtis and then y'all want to build a game for your azuki ip why don't you come do it
on other side and he was like oh shit i'm like man that's to me that's the future
fuck all these everyone you know building on their own islands that's cool but eventually like
we got we want a village you want a city you want your village to become a city become a
township a fellowship so i think i love hearing seeing i'm hearing foxy fam and all these other
projects talking about coming over that's going to be the norm that is going to be the norm because
other side like once they jump in and they play that bathroom blitz that the brother von doom the
homie von doom cooked up
they're gonna be like oh shit and then they go play poker and then you go and do bubbles and then
crypto painter when he drops his fighting game like there's too much sauce and and it doesn't
to me it don't need to just be from our community there's other communities building fire shit
that i want to test it out too bring that shit to other side so we could play it
that I want to test it out too.
Bring that shit to the other side so we can play it.
Hell yeah.
And I don't know if you guys noticed the Garga post in the other side Discord,
but day one Ape Chain integration on the other side.
So bring that shit on over to the other side and bring it on over to Ape Chain.
And we'll have the Apes break it and, of course, the Ape Chain community as well.
And shout out to Von Doom.
I'm super excited for Bathroom Blitz.
I know Marcel has also kind of broke the timeline this week with his, ooh, now it's slipping my mind.
What is it? Jungle? I feel terrible. Now I have to find it.
Hold on. It's right here.
He is working on the ODK on Primal Instinct Other Side, which looked really cool, looked really engaging.
So I hope we get to see more from there
and other builders using the ODK.
So hell yeah, super excited.
I think you mentioned a great point, right?
Like we were also able to provide, you know,
great feedback on all, you know,
through the people that played
and through Craig and Jay to the Alternatives fam
on like, hey, like this could be a lot,
you know, this could be a bit better
or this could make, you know make a bit more engaging XYZ.
So definitely, you know, one thing that we've seen is Ape Builders, whether they are BAYC holders, whether they're just in the Ape Chain ecosystem, Aping around, they provide really good feedback.
And, you know, they really care about the products that are coming on and they're going to genuinely, you know, play it, test it out.
And super excited to see more kind of come to life through OtherSide, through ApeChain, and all the amazing builders we have.
I think the last thing I had on my list is you may have also seen this past week, there's been a ramp up of prediction markets or also consensus markets coming onto ApeChain.
sensitive markets coming onto Ape Chain.
So you may have seen Simple Farmer and his clutch markets
as well as Prime Ape Markets and as well as V-Pop.
While they're on Seoul, they're working their way onto Ape Chain,
and they played around with the fun one-versus-100,
one-gorilla-vers gorilla versus a hundred people market.
And there's going to be a bunch of other fun things coming to life through, you know, whether
it's inside baseball, Ape Chain things, whether it's, you know, deciding on who's finally
better between Orange or Aquamarine and leaving that up to a consensus market to decide.
But there will be a bunch of other stuff coming down the pipeline and appreciate you guys
always giving us this little section to, you know,
shield, ape chain.
Lost, I know there's a bunch.
Is Lost up here as a speaker?
I see him as a listener.
Is Lost up here as a speaker?
You're just going to talk shit about and ask if I โ€“ yeah, you're putting that โ€“
bro, come on.
Am I up here?
The first thing I was going to say is we've got to get you this fucking badge
or I'm literally going to Twitter HQ this weekend
and I'm taking any sync that's left in the building like elon said he went in and he took
the sink i'm whatever sink that they got left or whatever sink he brought to replace i'm taking
that shit until they get your badge bro what the fuck is going on we got john in support i'm putting
his ass on blast i'm doxing john our support agent from twitter been fucking giving us the
runaround for a week this This dude, bro, every time
he's online, I want to send him a message. John,
if you can hear me, if the Twitter mods are listening,
get that badge to spend.
We're on your ass for that badge.
Golly, Spence still ain't get his badge?
Oh, wait, Lost, where's your badge?
That's what I'm talking about.
They're fucking with us. I definitely have the badge,
but, I mean,
what are we paying for here? The badge works, the badge work it's there it's not there violation oh you gotta you gotta
click on his profile and it pops up same thing with yours what's going on this this is i think
it's x all bugged out as always so we're fighting badges this week on twitter at the club and on
ape chain this is why we need blockchain tech so we could do shit better i'm just saying if you guys didn't notice if you guys didn't see the new content
from the apecoin account the sweeps are continuing the g's intern has the broom out and shout out to
uncle mac for launching the ngt token whatever shameless show my bags are packed everything i
say is my own opinion do whatever you guys want on chain be responsible but shout out to uncle mac he's been building the mines he's been building
with the community for a long time and he just launched this token that's going to power a bunch
of cool shit over there it looks like there's some on-chain raffle mechanics and we're going
to need access to that i don't know if uncle mac is in here right now listening i'm not
uh there's too many fucking apes bro there's fucking 500 apes in here i mean there's just
enough apes is is really what i mean but yeah i'm scrolling i don't see uncle mac we need the
signal out to uncle mac we're gonna need access to this raffle platform so we can send some cool
rewards out through that and i gotta beat the drum for staking again we gotta beat the drum
for staking still if you guys are staking on ethereum because this is the best place to do
if you guys have an ape if you guys have a board ape a mutant ape if you guys have a kennel club dog you got to
get the ape coin staked on ape chain you are not earning rewards anymore if you're staked on
ethereum what are you waiting for stop it you get native yield on ape coin it's cheaper to claim the
rewards it's everything is better about the new contract so make sure you guys are using that apechainstake.io on apechain and I'm not just here to talk
at you guys too I mean I could talk at you guys probably for longer but I have
we have a poll we had a question and it feels I mean one of them feels spicy
one of them feels less spicy but the poll is is what does the community want
to see from a chain what does the community want to see from ApeChain?
What does the community want to see from ApeCoin?
Where does the community want to see ApeCoin and ApeChain?
Is it community-led events? Is it official events? Is it both? Is it neither?
Are you guys mad when the spend is too much? Are you guys mad when the spend is not at all?
This is the question we're looking for answers.
There's a poll that came out from the ApeCoin and we're heading into 8fest, and we're curious.
We want to know.
So if you guys haven't responded to that poll,
there's like 500 votes, and there's like 400 people in here
or something like that.
So go get your votes in if you haven't.
What do you guys think?
Barron, what do you think?
I mean, both is the cop-out answer.
But what would you prefer?
I mean, just as a community member,
official events or community-led events?
I think that that's a tough one.
And I heard in the group chat yesterday in the Discord,
they were talking about like what defines,
I think Horder was talking about like what defines a community
and like event versus what makes it an official event, you know?
And I think really it just becomes, here's the point.
Create an event because you want to create an event. That's it.
That's simply all that it is. Like if you want, there's going to be the official events. That's
cool. If you're in the club and you have the capability to create your own sub event and
want to just do it, just fucking do it. Right? Like, I think that's the thing I think about a
lot is people ask for so much permission to do things. You're the one that has to bring the energy. And I'm just trying to push this
event through the finish line, you know, and for myself, I think like, do I want to do
a side event at Ape Fest? Cause in my mind, I was like a smoke session with a bunch of apes
sounds really fun, but do I have the free time to make that event happen and so forth, you know?
And that's where you think, do I have to find a team? And a lot of people do this with ape games, for instance, they found a
group of apes who were super dedicated to an idea, and they just fucking made it happen.
Right. And like, yeah, Illa and I met with them for a lot of stuff to make sure that it was all
good and well and fit into the planning of everything. But at the same time, like a lot of apes forget that part of
the idea of being in the club is just to do, to create, right? And then if you get to a certain
point where you need to check in with the official perspective of whatever you need to know about,
hit me and Ila up. No problem. We'll talk. It's all good. We'll figure out the answers. Spend and
loss. Same thing, right? Borisis as well i didn't realize you're
up here but i apologize um but you know it's just do shit and then figure it out illa am i am i
somewhere right here how you feeling no 100 right like that's what to me is just fuck around and
break shit fuck around and try shit then once you have it perfected you can go hit up loss you
can hit up spend and get it powered by ape chain or by a coin or however you want to do it or the
banana bill or whatever floats your boat or if you can get through to the people into the dow
sorry i laughed over there you know if you can get through to the it's not even the people if
you can get through to all the apes through the dow god bless you but at least fuck
around try shit break it let let other people try it and let them break it then you perfect it
but at the end of the day people are gonna see you hustling man look at bailey bailey's a prime
example of that bailey is a is a legend he was man me and bailey was in the trenches warring with
rider rips and shit and then he just started doing his 3D art.
And like, you know what?
I'm going to just try this every single day.
And I'm going to bring you all along with me.
And I'm going to start off with a circle and a triangle or a circle and a rectangle.
Then it got so good that he launched a project.
And the project did so good.
Now he's over at fucking at MeBits.
And we watched that.
We all seen that shit live and that's just the
proof is in the pudding man like you just got to keep trying shit and even von doom von doom was
knocking at the door as soon as he heard the word odk and he was like man y'all playing with me bro
this is what i do like let me in man i'll do some crazy shit i do this shit for a living i do this
i got a crazy studio we do this this shit for Fortnite on the highest level.
What happened? The motherfucker banged on the door so much, he got a dent and he put a hole through that bitch and peeked his head in. Now we was testing his game today.
So that's what it takes, man. Don't even be humble. Don't be shy. There's no little kids in this club. We all grown ass men and women.
guy there's no like ain't no little kids in this club we all grown-ass men and women so if you want
some shit done bang on the door and if you if you ain't ready to bang on the door put the shit out
there and let people tell you it's great or it sucks and then you go back and and and keep
reiterating reiterating until the shit is fired that's how i do with my beats i play for people
i'm sorry one person then two people and three people then i play for a bunch of people way
before i send it to any artist i don't just do it and send it to an artist like fuck all that
so baron you're right man make some noise shake the motherfucking fence shake the tree whatever
you got to do and eventually people will recognize your hustle that's anything in life so so to circle
back to lost original questions because i appreciate you apes out there who are texting me and going like, you're way off what he asked.
Listen, we go on rants here.
This is what we do.
We're a passionate group of monkey pictures on the internet.
But when it comes to funding and such, hit up myself, hit up Boris, and we put it up the line for conversation with the team.
And that's where that goes.
In terms of like, I'm going to just stop the rant there because it is what it is.
It is what it is.
Man, if they want funding, they can go to it.
Man, if they want funding, they can go to, there's also Thank Ape.
There's also Thank8.
There's so many ways.
I've never seen in my grown ass life, seen so many different ways for somebody to get
some money in their pocket to build whatever the hell they're working on.
This space is amazing in more ways than one.
There's people playing the meme coin casino, but we have all these opportunities just in
our community to get funding for what you're working on.
So just do, you know, do the research. Start over on Ape Chain first and foremost, because there's a hit loss and his spend.
There's a ton of resources for you to actually get funding for your brilliant idea that you've been sitting on since grade school.
So. Yeah, I got us in trouble. That that's that's my bad baron i should that's messed up bro
thc come on bro like or ask the bad question there's no bad answers yeah yeah there's bad
questions there's definitely bad we got the whole like nba squad up here too the other the other like
and i started i said before i asked that last question too like this might be spicy
and i feel that was the one I thought was spicy.
The one I think is less spicy, but I think people have different opinions on is this
idea of merch versus apparel.
And I know there was a tweet out.
I think it was from Gene and I see he's up here now.
I kind of started this conversation and I stole it from the Rangu community because
Dirty Robot has put out like a new launch recently.
And I've been part of that community the whole time.
Again, whatever, shilling my bags. But like, i'm just a collector there like i have held the same
things for the past four years have not done anything crazy but love to see him on the timeline
love to see that he's still around and he's put out this discussion recently of like merch versus
apparel and i think it's it's interesting for our community because i've heard a lot of these
discussions from people that are in different countries and different continents and in places
that are not america there there's a lot of respect for the brand. There's a lot of like
reverence for like the merch that we have, like that we call merch in offices, places and like
in Hong Kong, in Taiwan, you know, people are flexing this as apparel, right? They're comparing
it to Balenciaga, to Prada. They're laughing at people wearing the stuff that you can get in the
regular store because they've got exclusive apparel from the club here and potentially, I mean,
it's very exclusive if you got it from Ape Chain. So I don't know. It's just like the way that you
put things out there, I guess, you know, it's a difference between dollars and bucks. And I've
talked about this with a lot of people in a lot of different ways, but sometimes the way you hear
things, it makes a difference, right? Like I save my dollars, right? I'm trying to save, you know, $20 million, but I'll spend
20 bucks. So like sometimes just that little shift in language can make a big difference
on how people receive or perceive things. And shout out to the fucking content creators. You
guys said, Bailey, I mean, we haven't really talked about this too much, but shout out to
the whole Ape Chain Studio. If you guys saw the new animation that came out today, I think you guys know it's pretty obvious.
That's from Inceptive Studios, so shout out to Rita.
He's supporting us now.
Brazy's been behind the scenes the whole time fucking cooking.
There is no Ape Coin.
There is no Ape Chain.
All the stuff you love design-wise, all the stuff visually that is appealing to you,
doesn't happen without fucking Brazy.
So pulled him straight from the Discord trenches
where you used to love to see all of his cool shit
and he's fucking making Ape Chain come to life for you guys
every damn day. So shout out to Brazy.
Every damn day and night. Dude does not
sleep. He's just awake and asleep
on the fucking digital pen creating
cool shit for you guys every single day, literally.
Shout out to him. And we got all the B's.
We got Bajato too. We got Brazy. We got
Bailey. We got Bajato. We got the whole content crew on fucking Ape Chain. So shout out to them. Shout out to him. And we got all the bees. We got Bejato too. We got BayZ. We got Bailey. We got Bejato.
We got the whole content crew on fucking Ape Chain.
So shout out to them.
Shout out to Inceptive.
And you might have seen one of the new badges went out to Vi.
She came over from the Token Proof team and she's empowering our whole pipeline for all this content and production.
So shout out to all those people that are creating cool shit that you guys like to see.
And Spend and I help.
But those are the people that are making Shibu.
Spend and I could go to sleep.
But without them, it doesn't happen't happen yo and no one talks about shapes
you know by bailey i mean that's like one of the best if not the best art collections on ape chain
currently and super slept on go check it out yo someone else who is super slept on i would say
is baka because you put in a lot of work, and you're going to be growing as time goes on in this space because you just decided, hey, I'm going to make content.
I'm going to put shows together.
I'm going to get homies together and play poker.
You are going to be surprised how much that show will pay off down the line if you keep at it over a long period of time because that's very similar to the stuff that I did.
That's very similar to the stuff that Sean Nana did.
Many of us up here did we just decided hey we're gonna do a spaces together and run this shit and
show up and create our own schedule and just create more value to this ecosystem because we
desire to do it and those are the kind of people that i like to gravitate towards who just decide
hey i'm gonna pick up a shovel and start digging start creating something cool so baka what's good
man i haven't given you a proper hello how's your
friday how you doing buddy dude i'm doing great man uh had a you know wonderful conversation last
night with the the folks in the discord um dude i was up until like hell almost 5 a.m talking to
prince like made a new friend it was great man good vibes prince is a fucking legend like
prince is the super legend
but baka why are you saying that like you aren't up till 4 a.m every night on the twitter space sir
aping in yeah no yeah that's true that's true i literally used you as an example when we were
talking to one of our partners today of how active our community was i was like bro there i was
telling them you know just as an example of the things that they can expect from our community
there was a space that ran from thursday to tuesday and motherfuckers were there talking
the whole time i was talking about you yeah there's a lot of there's a lot of ogs up there but uh
and i have a hard stop at three and uh i just wanted to make an extra shout out to all of the amazing Cheetah gang that's up here.
One, two, three, four, five members of the Cheetah gang.
The best fur period in the entire Yacht Club.
Any space with a bunch of cheetah faces just wins all the races.
On that note, I hope y'all enjoy y'all. Hey, yo.
I hope y'all enjoy your weekend.
And I don't know if Baron's going to beat you going. Yo, yo, don't go anywhere, guys.
We're going to run it for another 30 minutes.
Boris and I don't have a hard stop for 30 minutes.
So, Illa, peace.
Happy Friday.
Go off and build for our club as you do.
We'll see you next week, homie.
All right, y'all.
I'm going to throw the uh invite
get him up as co-host and i'm gonna throw it over to the other cheetah on stage which i felt like
was the full circle there's a lot of cheetahs on here i'm talking about nana what's good happy
friday how you doing buddy i had to represent cheetah gang i saw i saw it brewing I saw the cheetahs start coming up. You guys moving a pack up.
Yeah, we do.
You know, it was dope to see that cheetah fur and the alternates game in the Discord as well during the game night.
So, you know, it was looking really good.
And I'm a fan of first-person shooters.
So, dope to see that energy going.
And Spen, I'm excited for game night just to continue.
Lots of good news coming out, you know, around that stuff.
But just wanted to come up, say what's up.
Man, Lost talking about, you know, we don't sell merch.
And just good discussions around that last night
with the Board Brewing Cone gang
and everyone else who just pulled up.
It was super fun, man.
Let me hear you call our fucking apparel merch out of here.
I'm on you.
Hey, but when you say we don't sell merch,
I'll just throw it back and say,
well, what are we selling right now?
There's nothing for sale. apparel you know let's get a store up listen ape chain what what can be said is this so gene how you know actually let's continue to go around the room and say what's
up to that i yo what a pivot on the... What kind of tease is that?
It's the best kind of tease. That's what you come
here for. I can't say much, but I can at least
And, you know...
What can I actually say?
That's enough.
We're going to move on. Peter, what's good?
Happy Friday. Thank you
for being part of the community and coming
up with Bored Bishop. If you guys haven't given them a follow, please, please, please do so. Let's
get them to at least 100 followers before we end the space in about 25 minutes or so. How are you
doing, Peter? Happy Friday. Hey, I'm good. Getting rugged over here. so i'm talking to a phone but listening through a
headset it's wonderful we had three yellow backgrounds up here for a while i was so excited
illa ditched us though it was always cooking he always jumps into meetings from like who did you
get to talk to today that's awesome uh dude what's good with you? How are you doing?
What's up with board brewing? Any events at your bar coming up soon where people can go and look at that beautiful mural that you have? There's about a hundred people on the patio right now,
soaking in the sun, loving the mural. Everyone who walks by it stares at it, takes pictures.
I'm hoping it'll be the most photographed mural in Calgary soon.
I got to figure out a way to track that on Google Maps or something.
But yeah, people love it and it's great.
And the sun's out and beer is flowing.
So things are good.
And Gene and Tiger and I are cooking up stuff and it's all a surprise.
But yeah, I think Gene already called a bunch of that stuff out.
So it's really exciting.
So the start of the surprise, I guess,
starts with following Board Bishop.
That's step one to be entertained, perhaps at a later date.
So let's double check the page.
122 followers, perfect.
We went over 100.
Continue to follow if you're not there. I'm going to to keep showing the homies stuff up here because why not?
It's fun. I love seeing what board bishops cooking up. IP usage is absolutely one of my favorite
things. Sean, I want to throw it to you real quick. I know you've been cooking a lot. What are you up
to lately, man? You always are up to something interesting. Whenever I ask you, you may not
be able to share anything. You may not have anything to share today, but I am just curious. You building
anything with any IP lately or anything with Other Space? What's going on?
I mean, had a really great discussion with Other Space FM just yesterday with the club and was really digging all the speculation
from the last Board Ape Yacht Club post.
But, you know, in terms of building,
really I've been wanting to just tap in with the community,
start to grow the community,
look outside of also just the ape ecosystem,
see if there's other things that we can get involved with, because it all leads back to the IP, it all
leads back to ape chain.
And so I'm really interested in kind of the meta right now with people playing, like being
part of many like experiences and many games. Um, there are lots of really great
tooling that's out there. Uh, we, we actually like with other page, if you look at the experiences,
uh, page, we did some updates to where you can launch a game within other page. And then the
leaderboard, uh, automatically updates and, you know, the game can trigger in-game badges, which are on-chain NFTs, which unlock other collectibles and rewards that get programmatically distributed.
So there's a lot of really dope infrastructure that we're heading up and we can't wait for, you know, the platforms and the game creators to be ready to be able to
launch experiences so uh lots of things cooking on that end but at the same time like i'm really
looking forward to learning a lot more about like what are some of the communities that we have like
connections to so we can involve them more you know and I think
Ape Chain really brought in that energy game night yesterday Chimpers jumping on board you know
certain people that are really in this ecosystem that we can start to collaborate more and I feel
and get more involved in so I'm constantly thinking about like, here's, here's the, the existing circle
that I've felt really comfortable with. Like, how can, how can I help expand that? Because it's
ultimately going to like bring, it's just going to make the ecosystem even stronger if we continue
to make inroads to other communities, other platforms, and bring it all in.
So that's kind of what's been on my mind lately. And I also think about that in the sense of
ApeFest. And you think of it like with BAYC in the same analogy. It's like ApeFest has always been BAYC-focused. But then you got ApeCoin tweeting out that poll about doing official events versus community-led and how they should get involved and how they should show up.
And ApeCoin is more than just BAYC.
Obviously, like, you know, huge tie-in and, you know, it's BAYC is like the center, so to speak.
But ApeCoin is much larger than that.
And if we look at the community that's been growing due to ApeChain and the amount of developers and builders and apps and, you know, things that may have nothing to do with apes, there's an opportunity there to get involved
and tie all these things together,
to expose the IP, to expose the culture.
So that same analogy of BYC and ApeCoin to ApeFest
is how I'm really starting to try and apply that
to the entire ecosystem and how know, and how we could how we can continue to like look in, grow, grow the circles, because ultimately it's going to showcase like what we have going on here at the club.
Yo, Guchita, you got something to jump onto with that?
You had your hand up, so I wasn't sure if you had something to add, rather.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was just going to talk about, you know, things we're building and, you know, our May Madness thing.
We've got a couple days before that.
The brackets are closed, so if you want to hear about that, I can talk about that real quick.
No, absolutely, and I think that's a good follow-up to what Sean's talking about is like broadening communities
in your circle, right?
And for a lot of people, they still haven't jumped into many ape chain communities.
And that's a whole nother circle.
Like I jump into a lot of spaces.
I've been hanging out in the ape chain Africa spaces a lot because I'm like, oh, this is
a whole new world of people I get to meet now that I never got to meet before.
Like I don't, I have never
been to Africa. Right. So, but it's cool. You're making friends, you're starting relationships,
like grateful messaged me yesterday and said, how cool is it that we got to know each other
and meet each other because we have these monkey pictures, you know, like someone on the other side
of the world. So please absolutely speak on what you're cooking. Yeah. So, you know, we're in
between spotlight seasons and spotlight was just so much fun for,
for those that have participated, like it riled up the whole NFT,
a chain communities. And like, there was a leaderboard.
It was so much fun and we're in between seasons. So we,
we came up with may madness to kind of keep,
keep the a chain T project competition alive.
And so on unboxing web three, my MBA,
if you don't know about unboxing web three, check it out.
We unbought, we've got 160 videos,
unboxing everything from web three products to games,
to dApps, to IRL events.
Anyways, we started May Madness and it goes live next week.
And every day in May, we will be dropping videos,
kind of outlining the NFT projects
that are pitted up against each other.
And the communities will come out and vote
and vote to see which projects go to the next bracket,
like the moves up in the bracket.
And on our website, unboxingweb3.com, you can just fill out your bracket, submit it,
and whoever's got the best bracket at the end of the tournament, they're going to win a thousand
A-coin and a bunch of NFTs from the collections that are involved in the May Madness competition.
from the collections that are involved in the May Madness competition.
So I pinned a tweet.
You know, with Unboxing Web 3, we're trying to figure out all different ways
to just engage, like, all of Web 3.
You know, bring people to Ape Chain with this May Madness game,
like, onboard Web 2 people by showing them all the cool shit being built
across the whole space.
And, you know, we've been going on for two years with Unboxing Web 3,
and we're just having so much fun with it and always coming up with
trying to come up with ways to, like, do our part to, you know,
bring this Web 3 world we're in to the masses.
I was just watching a YouTube channel the other day,
and you guys have grown quite a bit of a following since the last time I looked at it
since Lisbon and just seeing how much content you're putting out and the editing is great
whoever does that does a great job uh love the team that you and Dilly have become bro thank you
and like honestly we owe it to the community like we we did this DIY for a year and then we went for an AIP, a modest AIP,
but enough to be able to hire an agency to like elevate our,
our video edits and,
and set it up.
So me and Billy can kind of just focus on content creation.
I appreciate it,
Like the channel has grown a ton and,
we're just fucking having fun with it
appreciate you coming up and talking about that sorry uh i think was it yesterday yeah yesterday
in the other space uh we were gucci was was up on stage at someone we were talking about the ApeCoin tweet in that poll on whether or not how ApeCoin should show up.
And then if it is a community-led event, was it you, Guchita, or someone else?
I feel like someone else suggested we should use Guchita's bracket, the Unboxing Web 3 bracket, to see who gets selected for a community-led event
i was like damn dude that would be crazy that was harder yeah like you know this is my idea for
funding for an event like going up against jeez ah shit jeez is gonna win fuck i'm out
you guys are gonna make us have to put a whole community event spaces together now like i can't
hear this feedback and then like not reciprocate with some action so like now spand and i have to
go and add this to our agenda of things to do and yeah yeah like we're gonna have to to continue
this conversation no but i i don't i don't even know if there's a conversation like what i don't
know which space i said this on the other day but i was like yeah we don't need a democratic process we don't need a bracket just give the fucking
money to hoarder we trust them he's got the track record just let him do it if he wants if he wants
what but uh i think that's a solution one thing that dawned on me yesterday on that other space
spaces was you know like the old school nft mnyc these nft uh convention you know, like the old school NFT, NYC, these NFT conventions, you know, Miami, whatever,
Basil, there were, there's all these different NFT projects that were doing events. It was cool.
You go to like the World of Women event, or you go to, you know, the Gobbs event,
and not the Gobbs, the Goblin Town or whatever. And last ApeFest, all the events were like nbas right but this ape fest we have an opportunity
to have ape chain nft themed events like a gobs event or a g's event and like how cool is that
like ape fest can become a place where there's all these mini nft side events within a chain
i don't know i just thought that idea was cool.
If Rita doesn't throw,
Rita's been kicking my ass all year,
first of all,
just so people here have context.
Rita and I are friends.
We've woken up and seen each other's morning face in hotels.
So we have a very personal,
great relationship with each other.
But he's been kicking my ass
all year on everything with Levin.
If he doesn't throw a fucking G's event,
if he doesn't throw the G's event,
I'm kicking his ass.
I said it before.
I'll say it again.
It's recorded.
You're all here.
He knows I said it.
I'm doubling down.
Bro, if there's not a G's event,
I'm riding.
Yeah, I heard the intern is expecting it too,
and he might have to floor his G's
if that event doesn't come out.
By the way, if you guys haven't been seeing,
there's fucking sweeps going on literally like as this stage progresses.
So if you guys aren't paying attention to Ape Chain,
you guys are missing out.
Yeah, by the way,
if Ape Chain wants to contribute to the May Madness purse in any way,
NFTs, Think Agent, Ape Coin, hit me up we uh we're putting up you know a thousand
eight from our our purse but like hey the bigger the purse you know the better but the main madness
brackets uh monday is the end to submit because the tournament starts tuesday so check the pin tweet
it's free to enter it takes a second second. Choose your favorite Ape Chain NFT,
you know, projects and,
you know, good luck to you.
Yeah, man, take those DMs.
We paid you back.
Yeah, should we tell him?
Should we just tell him here
since he's putting us on blast up here?
I feel like we should just respond to him here, right?
Let it rip, let it rip.
Yeah, we're definitely hooking you up.
We sent the message up the chain.
We got the approvals.
The intern's willing to let some things come out of that wallet.
So it looks like you'll get a Minotaur for this bracket,
and we're going to get some Dengs over there for you guys as well.
So just make sure Span gets that wallet.
Dude, awesome.
So we'll make a post about that.
And so the purse gets bigger thanks to ApeCoin, ApeChain.
So you're going to win $ win a thousand eight a minotaur
and a bunch of other nfts so submit your brackets have some fun may madness appreciate the support
guys thanks guys no thank you bro appreciate you building we love the unboxing videos and
i'm gonna put in my bracket soon as we get off the space and see if I can bring home a dub.
We'll see.
Yeah, I appreciate that.
I got a question for you guys.
I might have a problem, and I'm wondering what you would do.
Because after last night in the BAYC Discord, I got like five board brewing beer cans
and four of them are
the vape ones
and I'm having a hard time
throwing them away.
This is what I've done with them.
I'm like, what the hell? These are kind of nice,
dude. I don't know.
Wash them out, then
cut off the top and the bottom and flatten
them and frame it.
That's what I intend to do what i swear to god that's what i'm gonna do dip it in wax then laminate it and i'm also the
guy that has i've kept almost every board vodka bottle you know like you gotta enjoy the content
but you also can't get rid
of the can. It's a piece of art. Um, so I feel that problem, Sean. I know it's just, it literally
is like what is usually considered trash, you know, it's junk and I should go recycle it right
now. And the fact that it's still on my coffee table and in my office, I'm just like, this is weird.
I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that in certain countries,
they sold the beer cans empty.
Gene, right? Wasn't that a thing?
Yeah, that's a little bit of a Bape beer loris, I think.
Yeah, so they weren't allowed to sell the beers.
I think they were giving it away at their stores or something like that.
I don't know.
I don't know, but I think there's something along the lines of truth there.
Sean, that's a great problem to have is that you have a collector's item now,
or 10 cents if you recycle.
They're still on the website.
They're still on the website.
I think there's a few cases left, boardbrewing.xyz if you want to grab uh your your babe cans listen guys we're gonna go to hoarder
and then we're gonna go to lord lord and then we're gonna wrap up because boris and i got a
hard out uh in 10 minutes to jump into the next activity for the day to keep on building for the
club so order what's good how you doing bro good What's up? Just came up to share about Pauser Collab with Board Trading Co.
So check that out.
You know, it's Board Trading Co.
Collabbing with them to try to push IP further.
And that's inclusive of about 12 Ape Chain collections in their IP.
So you can put your own NFT, your name,
and customize a one-to-one scarf
and we'll get that out to you.
So that's shipping worldwide.
And same thing to kind of expand the ecosystem a little bit. I'm sure Lord
will touch on it a little bit too, but NFT NYC, MBAs, Ape Chain, communities, reach out,
definitely looking to support the community through there. And, you know, you guys probably
also saw for Ape Fest, partnered with Ape Concierge. So we're already cooking there. And, you know, you guys probably also saw for Ape Fest, a partner with Ape Concierge.
So we're already cooking there. So reach out if there's any suggestions, any feedback or things
we should think about for community events. I've pinned up above the image that you guys
have with the scarf. And I got a scarf in in portugal from pauser incredible quality has my
ape on it uh this has such beautiful vibrant colors so i'll probably have to try to get an
order in and see what my ape looks like on that because that looks stunning man and i don't know
why i would need a silk scarf other than i want to put my ape on everything and it looks dope so
awesome look forward to seeing those all over the timeline.
Lord, Lord, how are you doing, sir?
Happy Friday.
Welcome up.
DMGM, I've got three points, but I'll make them really quick.
First, it isn't merch.
It isn't apparel.
It's ape apparel, and you better be wearing it if you want to be a part of the cult
and receive the almighty blessing from St. Curtis.
Next point, never, ever, ever ask permission to throw an event.
Just keep building it until someone sends you a cease and desist.
Final point, it's time for 8-Fist Vegas, baby.
And it's going to be full-on fear and loathing.
Bring your mescaline, your tequila, your guns, your ovaries, and of course your first aid kit.
You don't know what we're going to get up to.
Send me every invite to every party, even though I'll only be going to the ones I'm not invited to.
That's right, ladies and gentlemen.
I'm crashing parties and crashing out.
I challenge you all to go full-on scorched earth.
Make them remember the ape. See you in Vegas. Full throttle.
No brakes.
Long live.
And mayhem!
There's zero, zero, zero way to follow that up.
That's exactly what I was about to say.
I wish I had that much energy.
Shut it down.
Shut it down.
Rug me while I'm speaking. Egg can on that's it later guys happy Friday we'll see you
