Good. Good. Whoa, robot voice. Good morning. Good morning, everybody. Happy motherfucking Friday.
Welcome to the best club on the internet in the world. However you want to phrase it,
I don't care because we're all happy. We're having a great morning. It's 7am on the West
Coast. I don't even know what time it is on the East Coast
because that shit doesn't even exist to me as far as I'm concerned. Just kidding. Just
kidding. Just kidding. Good morning. I'm really excited for everyone joining us this morning.
We're going to be talking ApeFest. We're going to be joined by the ApeFest Las Vegas team.
I think we're going to have Chad, perhaps Lowe. We have the legend Boris Von Hustle, the second joining us here as the co-host for
today. Illa's out enjoying life, taking a little time off to just be Illa. Isn't that beautiful?
We're stoked. We're happy. Everyone is invited to come up, hang out, talk about whatever you're
cooking, ask any questions you may have about ape fest
ask boris who's winning the nfl championship this year i'm sure he's already decided
that it's not the chiefs i'm telling you guys it's not the chiefs it's probably not the chargers
either because fuck the chargers boris good morning how you doing buddy welcome up bro
boris on hustle that was the funniest shit bro. With everybody confusing us all the time and saying our names, you know, in the club and outside, actually, like literally in our meetings.
That was the funniest shit ever, man. I'm happy it's early, but I'm so hyped for apes. crypto is pumping. How crazy is everything aligned? Like while Bitcoin is going to like
117K, you know, ETH is pumping, ApeCoin is pumping. Here comes all the ApeFest
announcements. It's like at the perfect fucking time. I'm pumped. I'm excited.
It's early, but I'm here, man. I'm Boris Von Hustle.
You know, what's kind of funny is if you just look at the front, the Boris V and Baron V, I'm like, damn, we could really pull that off and confuse the shit out of people if we wanted to.
But that's neither here nor there.
So I am going to post a link for everyone to go ahead and share up above.
Please go ahead and do it.
as well. For whatever reason, I don't know why X doesn't have us give us the comment bubble
anymore. So it doesn't matter. We will evolve beyond it. Let's go ahead and share that out.
Let everyone know we have started early this morning, guys. From now on, as far as I know,
we're going to be doing this time period, this time zone. So 7 a.m. Pacific, 10 a.m. Eastern, different time.
But a lot of people out there have enjoyed the difference of time change.
A lot more opportunity for folks to engage, listen, just be part of the conversation.
See a lot of legends out there.
I'm not even going to name them because everyone in this room is a fucking legend at this point.
All of you guys have put in so much
work and time and dedication to the community.
literally is impossible to just name
everyone, except I'm going to name the
Board Ape Gazette because everyone should follow the Board Ape Gazette.
That's just like a given, the same
way you should follow the Board Ape Yacht Club.
I got a little notification that Chad is
going to run a few minutes late so you guys can stack
up your questions for ApeFest.
I would invite anyone out there to come on up, bring up your energy, your questions, whatever you may want to talk about.
Because until Chad and the ApeFest team gets here, I can't really say anything about ApeFest.
Boris told us that it was going to be underwater.
So Boris is a straight up liar.
Hey, but I can't. I can't. I mean, mean listen i can't help it i'm a cheetah we cheat we lie um but wait wait wait wait i've got to go back we literally have
the same initials bv like that that just hit me right now too i was today years old when i realized
that that joke actually works so everyone you need to start calling him Boris Von Hustle.
Well, we got some other homies up here.
We're going to probably have a good laugh.
We got Squiddy who's throwing up the fist.
Give him an early morning fisting, everybody.
What's up to the Yacht Club?
Again, learn this. You got to create? What's up to the Yacht Club? Again, learn this.
You got to create the link on mobile to get the chat bubble.
If you create on desktop, you're going to get the little plus sign.
Well, dog, I don't connect the Bored Ape Yacht Club to mobile for safety.
So that's why you won't get the chat bubble.
With that said. Not a FYI. With that said.
You promised I'd give some laughs and I let everyone down.
You took it seriously and now I'm offended.
I'm going to kick you off the stage.
So what's good with you, Squiddy?
You're on your millionth, 1200 and thousandth show or something like that you know if anyone doesn't know squiddy the the morning gaming legend that's out there
talking about all sorts of games but mainly here's one thing that i do love about squiddy
always looking out for the community and making sure that homies are safe that is a thing i
fucking genuinely appreciate how is your spaces going man how is everything going with you how
do you get your guests for
that if anyone ever wants to come on your show perhaps no appreciate appreciate the shout out
i'm just pumped i get to talk about games with some great people in the best the best club in
the world man which is the yacht club how we get guests people just dm me if i want to get someone
on the show i'll send them a dm and then they they come on. It's a, it's a lot of fun. Yeah. 1,988,216 episodes of the weekly show. It's been,
it's been an absolute blast, but it's just, you know,
another example of doing what we can and whatever's in my realm,
just representing the club and you know, you get 10,000 of them.
Are you going to be in Vegas, Rayfest, Woody? Am I going to see that? Oh, am I going to be in Vegas. Are you going to be in Vegas for Ape Fest, Woody?
Oh, am I going to be in Vegas for Ape Fest?
I'm ready to meet this Chad fella.
I heard he's a big timer.
I heard he's a big timer.
Of course I'm going to be in Vegas.
Ape Fest to me and Ape Fest to, I'm sure, a lot of apes.
Just pick a city in the world and we'll be there for this weekend.
For however long we're standing. for however long we're breathing.
Give us enough time and we'll be there.
Chad's a Steelers fan, though.
We've got the greatest football team. And if we played the Super Bowl two years ago on like a regular field, we'd be talking about the Eagles dynasty. But that's neither here nor there. Go birds. We're going to be all right. We're going to get that repeat. And my drafts in SBS fantasy will show that.
will show that for sure i thought i thought you were making shots at the steelers because i feel
bad for them they got aaron rogers they got every senior citizen in the nfl um it's gonna be it's
gonna be painful to watch that dude i got no beef with the steelers i'm a different side of the
different side of the state it's just been brutal yeah yeah anyways i didn't mean to start like that chad
i really did it let's start like this i know man what's up that's that's not cool listen i will i
will give chad a little love and flowers yesterday he posted one of the sickest photos i've ever seen
of of young chad on his journey of life uh super cool i love seeing a little bit behind the curtain
and getting to know who people
are and going, oh shit, that's part of the legend of what built you to the person you are. I love
that, man. We also got Lowe up here. We got Spen. We're going to get to them in a second.
Chad, good morning. What's up? How are you doing, buddy?
Dude, so good. So excited to be ending the week with all this positivity out on the timeline.
excited to be ending the week with all this positivity out on the timeline. You know, it's
been hard to keep this secret, but we are, we are very, very excited. Lo and I and the team have been
like jamming on this stuff for a while. And you know, we know it's a long time coming, getting
these tickets out there, but just what a great way to end the week and what a great way to start
next week too. I think one of the things people are most excited about is the fact that the
ticket date has been announced.
The complex con edition was absolutely insane.
We'll touch on that in a second.
I want to welcome up low.
One of my favorite people in the board of yacht club low.
I'm happy it's Friday and that all of this news is out there and we can
all go into the weekend. Happy and get our tickets on Monday. That's how I'm feeling.
I think one of the things I have to say is shout out to you and the art team who just puts out the
most amazing art as of late, just time and time and time and time again. Yesterday, you guys hit us with a lot of beautiful visuals,
and I heard it in a lot of spaces,
just people talking about, like,
we just basically bombarded people
with all this amazing work, art, news, everything,
and that's the kind of energy
that gets me fired up here in the club.
So thank you, Lo, for everything that you do for us
visually, aesthetically in the club.
We appreciate you. I appreciate you, Lo, for everything that you do for us visually, aesthetically in the club. We appreciate you.
And yeah, I think we're having so much fun with the art.
And I don't know, I feel like it's one of our better ways of communicating and just having fun with everybody.
So I'm glad people are enjoying it.
And lots, lots more to come.
We're going to open it up to questions a little bit.
We'll kind of navigate that.
But I want to ask Spend a very important question. When you get to Vegas, are you betting
on red or black first? I'm going all red, baby. GM, Jim, hope everyone's doing great. Thanks for
having me up. I'm not usually a gambler, but like I said, I'm putting it all on 69 Red.
Just show me where to click the buttons, and I'm clicking them.
The fun part is I don't even think that exists as an option.
It tells you that I don't think you gamble, so I love that.
I myself am going to give myself a very specific budget because I love to gamble. I need to make sure that I'm working and very busy, uh, but very
excited for certain parts of the week's activity. I started this morning by watching casino. You
know, you got to start with some gangster Vegas movies to start the day. Uh, listen to a little
peso pluma just right before the show, just to get the hype energy up. Definitely was not going to
put on yeet cause, uh, you know, know that's not my favorite but there's a lot
of different variety and that's something fucking sick we're gonna go to grateful grateful what's
good my pink brother what's up guys so hyped for ape fest it's insane i can't sleep already guys
and i created a checklist based on hangover movie uh do you want to hear a few of the points that I have there?
Okay, so steal a tiger from Mike Tyson's house.
Marry a stripper named Jade.
How does it sound to you guys?
That sounds so epic that I almost choked on my Red Bull.
I was not expecting that.
You are the least likely person I would imagine to do that.
So I would love to see you achieve even one mark on that.
We will be looking for a friend named Jade for you all weekend, I believe.
It's like 20 checkmarks that I have to go through.
I'll need your help because there are checks like
get beat up by Mr. Chose Man.
So yeah, maybe it can be Squiddy or NGB, you know,
It may be entirely appropriate for us
to just make a silly personal checklist
of accomplishments that we need to knock off the list.
What's the over-under for weddings?
What's the over-under for the gamblers out there?
What's the over-under for weddings?
Someone set a line and I want to take some action
or maybe get it on clutch.
Doing some cool stuff on Abe Chain.
There's got to be some action there too
because it's at least over a half. The line might even might even be higher. We're gonna see where money comes in
But guys, I know it's probably surprised but will will you actually invite Mike Tyson for a fest?
Well, I can't I can imagine Richard Wagner actually, you know doing a duo with Mike singing.
Bro, why do you got to ruin it?
We're going to have some crazy exciting things.
He was going to be on top of him doing a violin series.
You answered that so oddly.
He's going to be on top of who playing a violin
oh my god chad is that gonna happen
i'll invite mike if someone's got the you know the address let's send them a little gift a gift
package listen guys i will tell you today, Chad and Lo, I apologize.
I did tell the community.
I will ask you guys for any alpha that I might be able to pry from you.
And they may be silly like that.
They may be genuine and people may think they're silly.
I mean, I just wanted to did the whole, you know, the ComplexCon announced was a hangover homage.
So I don't know if anybody, you know, I didn't see anybody calling that out.
i mean can you speak on that because that's one of the cooler things that i think the club has
ever done like i think seeing that there's a particular uh band that's available for apes
like could we just talk about that real quick because i feel like that was such an incredibly
cool thing that happened yesterday yeah i mean i think you know like jay bond just posted which i think sums it up perfectly it's
like for a long time people kind of saw byc as the supreme of web 3 and like for us and for me
in particular like complex con has really put themselves on the map i think over the last almost
10 years at this point of being like the ape fest of streetwear. So when we were like, we're going
to go to Vegas. And I remember that they had done complex in Vegas last year. They were doing it
again this year. It was a no brainer to just be like, can we find a way to link up and collab?
So we started with talking with them. We let them know that ape fest was happening the same weekend.
And we were able to work out, you know, this bigger partnership where ApeChain is going to be the official blockchain partner.
And I'll let the ApeChain team, you know, speak on the specifics of what that means.
And then at the same time, we were able to get some, like, they let us know every time we talk,
they've never done this before. They've never let this many people in from one community.
And so they're going to hook Apes up with what we're calling the eight premier ticket. It'll get you kind of like
a fast pass line into the event, a custom wristband, and it'll be for apes and apes plus ones
only. So we're just really excited to kind of be able to bring show the love and then also you know help the the ape chain team
like really show up strong and show you know show that art streetwear fashion community uh what it
means to be on chain i think it's gonna be incredibly cool i'm sorry if i could just pick
up from there man yeah you know just coming off the staple pog nyc event this just felt like the
perfect you know next step in, you know,
stamping Ape Chain as the culture chain and a place where people can have fun.
I can't spill too much, but, you know, one touched on it a bit in one of his previous posts.
But, you know, there will be some tokenized experiences.
There will be, you know, a couple surprises up our sleeves.
So as we get closer, you know, as always, there'll be more info and stay tuned.
So 69 red will be an option.
Sometimes Boris, after you talk,
because you make me laugh so hard, dog.
Also guys, Chad Lowe, in case you missed it earlier, Boris is now asking people to call him Boris Von Hustle.
That's just how it goes. I don't know why.
Wait, that's what you said. Because we both have BV. That's actually nuts.
Like we both, our initials are BV. So, you know, he said it has to happen. It's fine.
I'll make that name change. I'll have my wife change it as well. And, you know, we'll just make that happen. Appreciate you. I feel like it makes sense. We're,
we're always getting your names mixed up anyway. So just combine them at this point.
You know, who hasn't done that yet? What? What's up, buddy? Good morning. How you doing?
Welcome up. Happy Friday.
maybe i did that wrong he's too busy cooking up the the next greatest piece to hit the timeline
yeah that's the mtm guys happy all-time high what is the all-time high right now i haven't
even looked in two days i have no idea i think 100 11117K for Bitcoin, I think.
That was the all-time high so far.
Your art has been incredible on the timeline
Machiavelli I promise you I'm gonna say hi to you in two seconds then we're gonna say hi to Spooky
and then we're gonna go back to Chad and Lowe and ask any ApeFest questions from the community that
you guys may have that they may be able to answer I promise you they may not they mostly won't be
able to answer all of them but we could try try. What? Are you up to anything?
Are you cooking anything right now that we can look forward to?
I'm not able to leak anything because of low,
but yeah, a lot of cool stuff is coming down the pipeline,
That's simply just a way to say,
everyone give this legend a follow, and he's not going to leak
anything because he doesn't want to get in trouble we don't want that bonk for you i will say
go check out the other side account and you can see some of uh what's latest stuff it's
really really sick uh coda art for other side sean blew off Can we just talk about that for a second?
The other side content that has been flowing as of late
has been beautiful and so exciting.
Other side is gonna be big,
working with Figge and the team,
it's super lucky to work with
these guys super talented so yeah we are in good hands you know and we all saw um gordon post
yesterday that he saw the the road map and and all the amazing things are coming and
it makes me want to ask chad what did you guys show him so bro talk about like that's not just
ape fest alpha that's like alpha on the alpha so we definitely can't get into that but you know
i will say oftentimes at ape fest we have lots of exciting announcements for people so just
you know buckle up and be there.
I can't wait. I can't wait. I heard a lot of people really excited that it's at the location that it's at at area 15. Um, aesthetically super cool. Can't wait to see how the club
makes it our own and turns it into something spectacular. It's going to be a blast.
Yeah. And fuck anybody who said they didn't like it. That's generally my mantra.
You know, I'm just going to say it.
Ooh, a little spicy pepper.
Dude, honestly, though, and this is literally how it's been the whole time we've been in the club,
is if you don't fuck with the club, you don't need to be in the, you know, keep moving.
Because there's so many people that love what you and the rest of the team are cooking.
And every time I see a blast like yesterday on Timeline, it just makes me sit down and appreciate how awesome this club is and how much they produce.
People have to remember, this club has only existed for like four years.
That's absolutely insane to think about all the amazing things you guys have achieved
and how many people have been brought together
because of these weird little monkey pictures
that we bought off the internet.
This is the fucking most beautiful, coolest shit.
So stoked that Ape Fest is coming.
Look forward to all the first time people.
I got a message from somebody out there
and I apologize, I don't remember who it was,
but they asked me, if this is my first Ape fest, what should I look forward to? Are there group
chats? How do I go about that? I'm going to kind of throw that out to the group. I know I just saw
Mr. THC pop up who has been to all of the ape fest and NGB who has been to as many ape fests as I
can remember as well. Uh, you guys might be the perfect people to just give a little, what,
what do you do as a first-timer
going to ape fest for the first time like i'm gonna throw it to lost lost good morning happy
friday how you doing buddy gm gm this is a this is a big responsibility the the question the answer
of what do you do at the first time at ape fest what do you do the first time at ape fest well
you gotta you gotta get merch so you you probably gotta hit up gene honestly the do the first time at ApeFest? Well, you got to get merch. So you probably got to hit up Gene, honestly.
The first thing, the first person that comes to mind,
you're going to want merch.
There may or may not be a direct line to get some merch
that people have stored up, stocked up on from over the years.
You can reach out to Span.
You can reach out to Baron.
I see Baron doing merch giveaways every Friday, every Monday, every day that he wakes up in a mood, in any mood, a good mood, a bad mood.
Baron's giving away merch, so definitely he's tapped into Baron for merch giveaways.
You want to wear the merch.
You want to wear the merch Vegas when there's, you know, 5,000 fucking Bored Aves, when there's,
you know, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 people from the Ape Chain community wandering around and you're
not wearing something that represents your identity, something that represents your profile.
It's not for everybody. It's not for everybody. But it helps us who want to be familiar,
who want to hang out with you when we see you at 3 a.m. in the club, in the casino,
and you're wearing your Bordet merch, and we could walk over, we could join you at the table,
we could have fun. What's the other thing that you got to do? What's the other thing you got to do?
Stay active on the timeline. You could be a ghost, you could be mysterious, you could just
float around the crowd, but I see a lot of people update their profile pictures updating their their name updating their banner
Getting in the group chats letting people know hey, I'm coming. Hey, I'm here. Hey, I'm gonna be out there
And then you see like not the community side events
We're gonna get community side events
But you get like the side side events like tiger might invite you out for Korean barbecue and make dinner for the whole table
She might order your food for you.
You might go with Span and go shopping for shoes. I don't know. I know there's a
Cool Kick shop in Las Vegas. You might see Span rocking the legit ape chain, the first ape chain
ever made, bling, bling, going shopping for some shoes at the Cool Kick store in Las Vegas.
I don't know. You might want to tap in for that trip. You might want to shop for some shoes at the Cool Kick store in Las Vegas. I don't know. You might want to tap in for that trip.
You might want to shop for some shoes. You might want to hang out with Span.
The stage is the alpha. Honestly, being here on Friday,
tapping in every week leading up to Ape Fest is where you're going to get your best alpha.
The one thing I will add as an older gentleman,
drink a lot of water. A lot of water.
As much water as you could put into your body,
you know, like at least the eight cups you need a day, because you're going to be walking around,
you're going to be partying, you're going to be sweating, you're going to be having a blast,
but you want to stay hydrated because that will allow for longer fun. That is an OG gamblers
piece of advice for you guys out there.
Spen, what about you, man?
What's something you would throw out as someone who might be coming to their first Ape Fest ever?
Yeah, it's hard to follow up Laws.
He touched a lot of great points.
I would say most definitely one of the key points is stay active in those
You know, a lot of side events, a lot of community activations,
all kind of come to life in those.
And it can be hard chasing things down across the timeline as they go live.
So just staying in tune with folks, staying in tune with your chats could open up opportunities for you to connect with more people.
I would definitely have to echo keeping some of your IP somewhere, whether it's a badge, whether it's your ape on your shirt,
definitely come with stickers. You want to have something that you can pass around,
leave your imprint on people so people can tie that face to an ape since we are always online
all the time. Outside of that, I would say, you know, have a clear schedule, right? Be ready for the A-Fest events.
But then outside of that, you know, Apes degen late, man.
Make sure you get your rest.
After A-Fest, you may be out till 3, 4 a.m. with Lost in the club,
with Tiger doing who knows what up to no good,
with Lo maybe painting some art at 6 a.m.
So, yeah, just keep your eyes peeled.
The A-Fest is never always just the A-Fest day.
So always plan for a little bit before, a little bit after,
just so that you can intermingle with the community
outside of the official events
because there's going to be plenty, plenty of stuff that usually pops up.
Did anyone say bring a phone an
extra phone battery i feel like that's the that's the truest that's the real alpha if your phone's
dead you're fucked so grab one of those little anchor things off amazon or whatever but make
sure you keep your phone charged that's real shit i bought that for lisbon last year i use it every
day still uh so that's like absolutely gold. I will
say what came of that NGB is the low wake and create. That sounds amazing. I would love to go
to that event. I'm like 6am. My goodness. You never wanted to wake up and just paint the sunrise.
I'll be showing up to the venue with Chad at 6 a.m. to start putting it all together.
Wake, create, and bake. I know Barron would love that.
You know I wanted to say it, but I didn't, you know, it's work, dog, so shh.
It's Vegas. Maybe something will show up. I don't know.
You know, I did hear from somebody out there that they wanted to put together a particular sort of devil devil's lettuce party and i would be so inclined to
join so i i look forward to seeing if that uh ends up on the roster or not uh let's go to
maciovelli good morning then we're gonna say what's up to tiger and spooky mac what's good
how you doing happy friday yeah happy friday man gm g GM, GM. Yo, I'm really, really excited.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, there's been a lot of great news and stuff.
I do have a question when that comes up.
But, yo, a flip brim hat.
Who has one of the 2023 8Fest flip brim hats?
I'll just say it right now.
I think I bought, like, one or two.
And you're probably the only person I've met where I'm like, yeah, I got you.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'll figure it out.
I'll pull it out of my personal and we'll, we'll talk about that later.
All right. Yeah. Thank you. Of course.
And yo, I'm a Coda now. I'm really excited. I got me a deed.
I'm really preparing for the other side and I'm really excited to just see how
this rolls out, participate and create. other side and i'm really excited just to see how this
rolls out participate and create and and yo i'm just i'm just excited man what a time to be in
the club i love the whole complex con thing um for somebody i've been a few times back when it
was in long beach and stuff like that back in the day like in 2015 2016 it was usually like in
november and stuff so when they moved into ve Vegas and stuff, and to see them actually have a blockchain partnership this year,
You know what I'm saying?
I love seeing this club evolve and just change thriving.
And I think the best is yet to come.
You know what I'm saying?
When I saw Complex come on, my first thought was like, shit, I got to buy a pair of new sneakers,
like something sick that I could wear to the event.
Because I wore my sickest shoes last year to Ape Fest Lisbon.
I can't wear those again. I haven't even worn them since last year.
I hear Ape Chains partnered with the biggest buy, sell, trade sneaker shop in the world.
So maybe hit up Cool Kicks.
Yo, Juan, can you tell us a little bit more about that?
I knew you were going to call Tiger, but I guess we could do a little Korean sister, Korean brother back-to-back here.
No, I'm pumped i mean as chad and everyone was talking
about this was something we've been uh holding close to the vest but so excited to have finally
shared it we had a nice little uh press release going out today as well um i think the one thing
i'll just cover uh i just wanted to share a little bit is when you think about NFTs and culture and you Google that, what shows up?
And I think when you think about culture and who's been around for literally 22 years, talking about sneaker culture, music culture, art trends, it's complex.
culture, music culture, art trends, it's complex. And that's, that's, you know, one of the reasons
why we were like, Hey, this is a partnership made in heaven. And so we've been talking to them,
obviously, Chad kind of kicked off the whole thing, him and cam and, and we took it to the
finish line. But really, I mean, I'm here just to give a lot of flowers, not just to us, but really
I kind of mentioned it in my tweet, but the people there, man, they align so much with what we're trying to do at Ape Chain and who we've been as apes.
And just like the folks, Olivia, Caleb, Chris, Neil, Maksha, those guys get it.
Chris, Neil, Maksha, those guys get it.
When we kind of share that DNA of, hey, we want to build in that intersection of culture, art, entertainment, et cetera, they were like, sign us up.
At the end of the day, BAYC and the apes that show up every single day to this space and hundreds of other spaces throughout the week,
we've made this culture happen. And I think it makes it a very easy partnership to make happen
when you can literally point in the direction of what we've been doing for the last three,
four years, and obviously Ape Chain for the last seven, eight months, and say,
do you think this aligns? And they're like, absolutely.
And I think that makes it very easy opportunity for us
to kind of make that marriage happen.
I think the three things that we're going to be able
to at least talk about and just share a little bit
is I think Chattery touched upon it,
the premier eight tickets.
We'll have some surprises thrown in there as well.
Think about 60,000 people outside of our club experiencing, obviously, ComplexCon and then a tokenized experience.
And so that's something that we're really pumped about.
How do we bring people on chain?
How do we surprise and delight people through a tokenized experience that happens on ApeChain?
That's something that we're pumped to do.
And of course, we'll be working on potentially a really good booth front and center, a real world showcase of ApeChain's tech and our culture as well.
I can't wait. Yeah, and the one thing I was going to add there is, like, I think the thing that I respect so much about talking to that complex team is, like, you know, very transparently, they're like, we're not, we don't take on partners just for the check.
Like, they're all about making sure it aligns with their ethos and aligns with, like, making the best experience for the fan every day and the best experience for the guests.
every day and the best experience for the guests. And I think, you know, I mean, that's what we try
to do every day for the club as well is like, how do we show up and show out and put, put on
experiences that really like last a lifetime for people. So for us, it's just kind of like,
now it's a blank canvas and it's like, how do we do something that makes our community proud?
And, you know, turns all those 60 000 plus attendees at complex cons
um into fans on chain you guys are getting me fired up man this is exciting and i think what's
cool is how many apes i've heard go to complex con already they they are into this already which
tells me that the they're the same of collector, the same sort of base,
right? So that's exciting to hear. It's just more friends, more opportunity. And it sounds like the
fact that they only fuck with brands that align with the kind of bigger picture, that sits so
well to hear because it gets you fired up. You guys only move for the right reasons. And that's
something we got mad respect for out here. Guys, if you haven't already, I'm going to just give everyone a shameless plug real quick for everyone.
I will say to give Tiger a follow and Spooky and Machiavelli and Pog and Boris Von Hustle.
But, you know, these folks up here are putting in so much work every day for you guys just to have a great experience throughout the year, year after year.
And we are so incredibly appreciative of it.
And I just want to take a minute to say thank you on the behalf of many people out here, because I know I'm saying something that many of them think.
Appreciate you, Darren. appreciate you baron and yeah you're out here seriously every day like making so much of this
stuff happen and on the ground and keeping us like informed to even do any of this stuff um
and boris you too and yeah just appreciate you guys so much i don't think people realize um how
much you guys are really doing sometimes preach iach. I would say everyone should follow Baron and Boris,
but everyone does already on here.
So I'll try to jump on a space
where maybe new followers will discover you guys,
but I know everyone here is friends with you.
One thing, let me just read fresh off the press here.
And this is from one of the top dogs at Complex.
This is how they see us, which is great.
Ape Chain's vision for a more connected, community-driven
future aligns perfectly with what ComplexCon stands for,
bringing the forefront of culture, creativity,
We look forward to providing our attendees, and of course,
I'm adding this, apes, to a next level experience that
merges the physical and digital like never before.
That gets me fired up. This is from the words of their boss. So let's go.
Tiger, how excited are you about this? Good morning. Happy Friday. Welcome up. How you doing?
Oh, my gosh. Good morning. So much to cover. So I'll be quick.
First, Juan and part of the A-Chain complex, that circuit, what is the homework for the rest of the community? Because we work in numbers and we're here to support. So when this press release releases, what is the call to action we need to do?
I don't know. Go ape on it. Just share.
I mean, I get it. We can do it on Twitter. You guys are such good self-organizers. I don't know, go ape on it. I mean, I get it. We can do it on Twitter.
You guys are such good self-organizers.
I mean, dude, I would say share on Instagram.
We want to sometimes to break beyond that Twitter bubble.
We know we show out hard on Twitter.
See, these are the types of things we want to hear, right?
So it's like step one, go create a freaking Instagram account account and step two, make sure it's shared on Instagram. So it reaches outside of a little bubble. That's amazing. And congratulations on that, by the way. It is really cool. Like, that is that kind of like legacy play that I think part of like what Garga's messaging has been in the last month. And like, it is spot on. like complex is a legacy brand and they're recognized in so many levels when
it comes to American culture. And I think, I think that's amazing.
A tidbit for, for newcomers. I love,
somebody else already said it, they stole it. Stickers.
Stickers are a magical thing. And if you don't have it,
you're going to regret not bringing your
stack. And here's one for those who are like building a business. It's going to sound so
counterintuitive, but like, because almost nobody does it anymore. It's like, have some business
cards made, man. Like the people who like set, who gave me business cards every time I network
with, it's just like I end up going back
and there's a little pile of stuff.
So that's a little tidbit for the business peoples.
Thirdly, yes, what if we did a spotlight reward
with Korean barbecue with Tiger and Vegas.
But I mean, yeah, we probably will do a Korean barbecue in Vegas.
So like hit me up if you're down for that shit.
I can't promise I'm going to cook for you, though.
You weren't supposed to like share that with the class.
Come on. Korean barbecue is Korean barbecue. I mean, so
this is part of the culture play, right? You will order for everybody, though. I will
absolutely order for everybody. And that's like kind of my thing, right? It's like
don't you dare look at the menu for at a Korean restaurant. It's like culture is felt
was kind of the thing that Ape Chain was pushing. Like that messaging was very
that tagline is like beautiful.
Culture is felt, culture is seen, culture is heard.
And I'm more of like culture is tasted.
So it's like that foodie in me is like,
when are you going to have like a food culture section?
I would go on that if it was like Tiger's food tours
or whatever, you know what I mean?
We're just making up shit here, but I'd be down. And I think Juan, you planted the seed. So
perhaps a spotlight achievement, perhaps just like an activity, who knows? But good job. I,
you know, you got to shoot your shot. Never know. I fucking love when you come up here, Tiger,
your energy is amazing electric in the morning. Thank you coming up i want to say what's up to another homie who has amazing electric energy all the time what's up profits
happy friday how you doing yo gm gm uh first of all i just feel like this is a super full circle
moment um i'm fucking so proud when i saw the post i can't say was shocked. I had a fucking hunch because I knew what weekend that was already.
I'm like, the apes aren't, they're done.
They're not going to not just miss that opportunity.
But I was over here looking through my archive Instagram posts from like 2017 when me and
the homies went to Complex Con and just wrecked all the lines and got all the best stuff.
Stuff that actually you still can't find today. They never re-released it.
That's what I love about ComplexCon. It's literally always exclusive stuff.
So I was over here trying to post it. I had a whole bunch of sneakers.
So this is just a super full circle moment.
I can finally shill all my resale friends right there in the same moment.
I can be like, like yo come to the booth
like come over here right now um so i just wanted to say what's up i i needed some good energy today
so i came to hang out in the club i'm glad that you guys started early today so thank you
but uh sending you guys love and super fucking hyped for ape fest let's fucking go legend dude
i can't wait you know like for someone like myself like i've always been a sneaker collector i'm of
the culture but i've never gone to complex con right like my boy seanana he's gone many times
i've never gone i'm excited to go with homies who know a little bit more than myself right and
that's kind of a cool part of this is chad that we get to go with our friends right like because
we can all just be there i wanted to throw this this to Chad real quick. Wait, real quick.
I was going to say, if you guys see us, some of us resellers in a different energy, don't be mad.
We're going to, you're going to see me here.
Then I'm in the front of the line and like, how the fuck, how'd you get in?
Don't, don't, don't talk to me.
I got to do what I got to do.
do what I got to do. Just throwing that out there. But yeah, my bad. She said, don't talk to me.
Just throwing that out there.
But yeah, she said, don't talk to me.
You don't know me. Well, if you see me doing my little move, you, hey, probably don't blow the
spot up. Are you still flipping sneakers and like culture like that? Yeah, for sure. But more like
the thing is that these fests, and this is the cool thing about ComplexCon. Granted, I'll say after, I'm not going to lie, the one I went to the 2018, or I think it was 17 or 18.
Maybe I'm biased, but all OG people that I know say that was one of the best ones.
So I have a feeling that this one's going to be really good because we've had a, it's been a kind of crazy couple years for the resale community, really, right?
A lot of stuff is just stagnated, brands fucking shit up, stuff like that.
So I think ComplexCon is a perfect arena for anybody into super rare shit
because that's where all the rarest things drop.
Yeah, and everyone says, too, that like last year was kind of that return to form, you know,
and really brought back that 2017 energy.
Chad, I wanted to throw it to you and ask you that because, you know, we have ticketing Monday morning coming for Apes.
I did pin a few things up above that'll be helpful.
Phil made a really, really dope little thread there on all the things you guys need to know about what has been posted and announced so far.
dope little thread there on all the things you guys should need to know about what has been
posted and announced so far. But Chad, how is ticketing going to work Monday morning? And how
does the complex con ticketing work for apes just so they know? Yeah, so ticketing in general works
just like last year, where, you know, token proof is part of the family now. So that's all set up.
So make sure your token proof is fully set up and working.
You can go on the site now and double check that it's all working. You got your apes and mutants in there or whatever. Apes will get a 15 minute headstart and then mutants can join in right after
and you'll just get in a queue first come first serve. And the way it's going to work with the
complex con pieces, we're still working through how the tickets get distributed.
But just get your ticket early.
The first 1,200-some people who get an ApeFest ticket will just get a complimentary ComplexCon ticket.
And we'll sort that out in the coming months.
And anybody who doesn't get one that's free can buy one at a discounted price.
It's going to be more than half off what the
normal ticket is. And plus ones will be able to purchase one at that discounted price too.
So plus ones and everybody will be able to come in the ape only line to get in there. Cause I mean,
there's 60,000 plus people. So, you know, having a dedicated kind of entrance,
like profit said, to get in there and be in front of the line helps.
That's so fucking sick. I can't wait. I think a lot of people are starting to get excited.
The performers they have in the evening just adds a whole nother element of culture that I'm looking forward to just learning and experiencing myself.
Prophets, I'm going to have to follow you around a little bit because you you'll text me every once in a while.
Like, that's what this means. I means i'm like well don't put me out
like on blast like that you know like i'm an old man i i'm a valley dude also i have a particular
uh anyways i'm gonna follow you around so i can learn some culture another person of culture
the pog brand is up here what's up dude welcome up happy fr. Happy Friday. How you doing? Good, G. What up, man? A little bit of chaos at my house. We're just back after a holiday, but
just wanted to say a couple things, man. From looking on the outside for so long,
Ape Fest is going to be a highlight moment for us, not just as individuals who are finally
getting to be a part of it for our community, for our industry. But looking at what you did at Staple and what we got to be a
part of, Juan has this vision, I think, for how our company intertwines with the ecosystem. But
the way that you guys have really put together so many different brands, so many different
ventures into this and how early the chain is, It's, um, it's pretty exciting. Um, so anyways, yeah,
I just wanted to jump up and say, it was really great to meet all of you guys that we got to meet
in New York city. Um, and just, we were amazed at how first class that event was. Um, you know,
your team is second to literally none when it comes to events. We've always watched on the timeline from a distance
and been like, holy shit, that's insane. And so to get to now be a part of it and to bring our
brand and everything that we can offer is something that we're really, really, really looking forward
to. And they're masters and wizards at the wheel. So it was super fun to get to meet all of you guys.
all the way. Everything from the minute we stepped off the plane in New York City,
everything was first class. We got to do like this whiskey and sake tasting with Juan. And
then we got to meet a lot of you guys at the Staples thing. And Josh was there and Tiger and
all you guys. We really felt like we were part of the community.
And getting to meet like Spend and Lost in person, it really is crazy when you get to meet all these folks in person.
And no longer does it feel like apes are out of reach.
You know, I've mentioned this before that sometimes in the past it felt like, man, they're so far.
Like the industry maybe puts you on a pedestal
and sometimes to the detriment
where people maybe feel like intimidated.
But all of the things that you guys are doing
has really opened it up to, I think,
every person who maybe felt that way.
And I think they feel like,
I think we feel like the community here is so welcoming
and warm and every single person packs such a punch when it comes to, you know, their voice,
their influence in the space and, and definitely like the genuine, um, like the real reason of
being a part of the industry. Um, so there, there is no better place. I don't
think if you're a digital collector, uh, if you want to be a part of a real community and it's
just been so fun to, to get, to be a part of it and to get, to, to like start to be ingrained.
And, um, yeah, it, it feels like, you know, they say, you know, go and stay where you're grown or
whatever, or grow where you're watered or whatever that, that saying is, is like, you know, go and stay where you're grown or grow where you're watered or whatever that saying is.
Go where people appreciate you.
And we feel like we found the perfect home.
And then there's a lot of really fun stuff coming and we're super excited just to be a part of it all.
So I just wanted to jump up and say thank you and how fun it was to get to see all of you and meet you all
and complex con and ape fest are just going to be, I can't wait to see what this year has in store
because you guys have always just really shaken the industry from, you know, from the ground up.
So, um, cheers to everybody. Thanks for having us on Friday. Um, one of these days, I don't know
if any of you guys remember Napoleon Dynamite,
but John Heater has a collection of pogs that he has brought to Ape Chain through our arcade,
and he'll be joining us in one of these clubhouses over the next month or two. So we'll have Napoleon
Dynamite himself joining us, but just a testament of what you guys have built and who you are as
people. Oh my God, please tell me when that happens i'll be there that was that's one of the best movies out there
and then you said clubhouse i love how you just said clubhouse that just brings me back all the
way back of how i got my ape in the first place so we appreciate you pog and everything you're doing
are you kidding me dude like it's it's uh it an honor. It's fucking cool to get to partner with, really, in my opinion, the best community in NFTs and in digital collectibles. There is no community like yours. truly the people who not only deserve this pump and this bull run, but the people who
are defining culture on the web and, you know, creating that real feeling when you come into
these spaces and when you are on the timeline. Um, you know, we got to do some cool stuff with
like giving away packs and things like that. But, um, you know, you guys are, you guys are just an
amazing group of people. And like, I met Baron, uh, in, I think Paris a couple of years ago. And that was like one of
the first real like moments of meeting an ape in person outside of meeting like Greg, um, and,
and, and, you know, at like a punk event, but like just meeting you guys in person, each person
behind the ape is, uh, so far has been a really special and to see like how much influence you wield out in the real world, you know, that was something that I wasn't necessarily ready for.
Like there are folks in this community who run big businesses, who run manufacturing, who do all of these really fun culinary things.
But like there's somebody in the industry or in this community for everything, it seems like.
And I've heard you guys say that before.
But to really meet people firsthand and experience,
it's a whole different level.
So, yeah, anyways, thank you, Spencer and Juan
and everybody who made this possible for us to get to be a part of it.
Gosh, this is going to be an exciting episode when we get
to hang out with uh you can't say gosh without using napoleon dynamite hey that was my attempt
bro that was weak that was weak hey at least you understood that it was an attempt i think there
you go there you go you know listen everyone's gonna be practicing their best i don't gosh
i'm gonna get my vote for Pedro's shirt out tomorrow.
Start rocking that right now.
You know who's been up here for a minute?
Pog, appreciate you, man.
I'm going to go dig through my childhood bedroom probably in a week or two
and look for my Pogs because I am 1,000% sure that I still have them.
You've been up here for a minute.
How you doing? Man, what's up welcome up happy friday you've been up here for a minute how you doing
man what's up family happy friday i don't know how to follow all these legends after that i was
waiting i was like man baron's gonna wait after he hits up all these legends i'm not gonna be able
to follow up but man flights booked hotels booked just waiting on the ticket drop man it's my first
date fest and i had a smaller budget and then the wife was like hey i think i want to go to that ape thingy mind you she knows nothing about nfts and so that budget went from
like 1500 to like six grand right because she's extravagant she likes to live life you know so
we're gonna we're gonna do it big out there man i i love vegas uh huge raider fan i heard uh shout
out boris uh spoiled banana society uh if you don't know about it, you better be about it, man.
That's the best on chain off chain fantasy you can get, man.
But I heard fuck the Chargers agreement.
It's Raider Nation, baby.
By the way, you are a legend.
You know, yes, there's all these legends out here, man.
But you are one as well, man.
Chargers for real. This is the first year I, as a Chargers fan, and I feel sick to my stomach about
it guys. This is the first year as a Chargers fan that I look forward to watching Raiders games.
And I don't know how to feel about that because I fucking love Pete Carroll. So I, I feel really
just all sorts of ways about it.
Um, spooky. Appreciate you up here. Let's keep it moving. We're going to say what's up to some
homies. I know Chad and low got a dip relatively soon. So actually before I jump over to, to Ben,
I'm going to kind of throw it to chatter low and say, thank you guys. Uh, if you have any last
words or thoughts you want to share before you guys have to dip? Yeah, I just think to that last one, you know, remember you got eighth concierge,
you got sleep IO, make sure to book your hotels and also tickets go fast. You know, they do,
you know, sell out at first, but then people kind of get on the wait list. So remember to like,
do you oversleep or whatever? Just get on the wait list. I think for the last two years, everybody that was on the wait list eventually got a ticket.
So just remember to hop on that wait list if for some reason you don't snag your ticket right away.
Yeah, echo what Chad said.
I love coming on these spaces after we announce stuff and I feel like
it's just kind of pedal to the metal from this
point on like it's going to
go fast and soon enough it will
be October and we'll all be
partying in Vegas so super
super stoked and glad other people are
I gotta ask you this Lo just because
this is always my favorite part and because you're the art person of the team.
And you don't have to answer me also, by the way.
I absolutely love all of the merch that happens at ApeFest every year.
That's always been one of the highlights to me is like getting those little things like the poster the first year, the hoodie, you know, last year, all the different stuff that was out there, that BMW jackets, like my grail from last year. Are you guys working on merch for this year that anything
you can speak on share any merch in general, because we all love merch. Yeah, I won't, I won't
go too far. But I will say we're definitely working on merch. We're really excited about just like our
branding and our theming this year. So we'll have more on that soon.
And you can definitely look forward to it.
I think that's always everybody's one of the favorite parts of Ape Fest is getting some swag.
So we'll definitely show up there.
Appreciate you so much, Lo.
I'm going to throw it to Tiger because she has her hand up.
Maybe she has a question.
I swear, Baron, you and i are like on the same wavelength this
morning because legitimately i was going to ask low the exact same thing but very specifically
will we have ladies merch this year i can't say but i will definitely count on you to make
something amazing from whatever we put out i'm always looking forward to your creations so we'll see yeah what would you want
if what would you want let's hear some suggestions no promises thongs who the
fuck's a thong somebody say thong stupid fucking ban them
i mean i do understand like it really depends? If like, if there was a dressing room situation this year, I think women might be more inclined to like, shop there more and things like, I don't know, maybe I always tank top, like, or leggings, things like that.
I think we're like pretty popular back in the day when we were just doing some field research from like within.
But yeah, I mean, hey, everything's good.
You know, last year at Lisbon, we had hoodies, we had shirts.
It was it's definitely evolving.
So we're happy to see that um just wanted
to see some see if you will leak something to us think luluman on ape train yeah yo prophets when
you said thong the first thing i thought was don't do that to us because squiddy would be the first
fucking person wearing that 100 you know what i mean I mean? With his tank top. I'm like, dog, come on.
I mean, I would legitimately buy like a whole wholesale set and then just like go to the local strip club and like ask some of the girls like, would you be down to wear this?
Or like we could get temporary tattoos done of our apes and then ask some of the girls to like, hey, I'll tip you like a grand to put this on your body for like the night.
Like, sorry, this is way too degenerate
for whatever AM conversations, my bad.
And I told Baron, as soon as it gets weird,
Let us know if you have specific questions,
as always, send them over to Baron, Lo, me, Juan, you know, the team,
and we'll get back to you.
But don't sleep on tickets on Monday.
And check your token proof ahead of time.
Yo, GM, GM, just a quick question for the team.
Chad, if you have to jump off, that's cool.
If it's getting too weird, I totally understand.
But the question that I have is we're all excited for ComplexCon.
It's something that we go to.
Apes will fit just perfectly in there, so it's such a good move.
But when it comes to Ape Chain and the brands that we're building over here,
I mean, we're all one family.
So what can we do to participate and help out with that
either during that weekend or maybe, you know,
just other ways that we can contribute.
Like Tiger's saying, maybe like there's merch that we can throw in there
that's, you know, Yuga theme that's also brand specific.
And I mean, I'd love to see G's over there.
There's so many projects on ape chain that could really also contribute and help.
So any thoughts there, or maybe that's a post you could, you guys could write later.
And I got a jet after this, but thanks for that.
I think we do want those types of ideas and contributions, of course.
I think one of the things that we have is I know we've focused a lot on,
obviously, the BAYC club.
For Ape Chain as well, you may not hold an ape.
We are going to give a lot of opportunities for Ape Chain community
to also be involved, to be also
part of ComplexCon. So more on that later. We didn't want to hit with so much news, but we'll
be sharing that in the weeks to come of how we'll make sure that we have the right mechanics in
place to make sure we have as many Ape Chain folks involved as well.
This just inspired another thought that I'm going to throw out there is if I know a lot of community members out there are going to be throwing side events as well along the weekend, right?
We know that Hoarder and Asif have the Ape Hotel, which they're going to be doing a bunch of different events at.
And I think I've pinned up above if you're looking to host your own event, they've made it very easy to like do it in the same space. So it's
very easy for everyone to be together. That's incredibly cool. Boris and I will have a Google
form so that if anyone is throwing a community event, reach out to us, let us know and we'll
send you that Google form so that we can build a social calendar as we get closer so people can see where everything is and kind of just maximize the fun that they possibly can have.
What's up, Laura? Welcome up. Happy Friday. How are you doing?
Happy Friday. Doing really good. Excited about all the amazing news and seeing everyone. I feel like these spaces are always, I don't know, meeting
up with all the friends. So just happy to join, say hi. I was getting rugged a little
bit, so thank you for bringing me back up. And yeah, just happy to be here and hang out
Appreciate you too. Can't wait to see you in Vegas. I can't wait. That's part of the
fun of it. It's like a family reunion. You see your friends from years ago.
I look forward to seeing some new club members who I've never met that are eagerly ready as well.
It's always nice to see the homies and break bread.
You were talking about their friends. I love Ben. Hey, I got a jet. I'll take that. That was a flashback. You were talking about their friends.
I love Ben. Hey, I got a jet. Ben, take it away.
But thanks, Baron and Boris.
Later, Juan. Appreciate you, buddy.
I'm really excited. This will be my first Ape Fest as an ape
because I actually went to Lisbon and came back and bought my ape
because of the experience I had there.
And so I'm really, really excited.
But I just wanted to, having spent a little bit of time now working with the guys at Ape Chain,
I helped them with the Cool Kicks activation that they've been running and a few other things. most excited here because like outside looking in apes have always delivered the best experience
in web3 like for many of you would have been there lucky you uh but like from the outside
looking in the things that you guys did in new york around nftnyc and the ape fest that happened in Hong Kong, like, and then having been to Lisbon last year,
like blows my mind what ape chain and Yuga are capable of.
and I'm sure profits would absolutely like attest to this,
just how fucking slick ComplexCon is and how incredible,
like in terms of the collaborations that they have and the presence of like talent
and the way they combine, you know, the kind of the conference side of things
with the more like leisure side of things and then the entertainment side of things with the more like leisure side of things and then the
entertainment side of things like what I love about this is that apes and ape chain are now
going to really like level up in terms of the their what's the word I'm looking for like
people's perception of them being able to hang in these
this arena but also just like the experience that we're going to be able to kind of like
uh latch on to having already done ape fest earlier in the week like i cannot tell you how
excited i am to just go and soak all of that up um So I wanted to come up and just say it.
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again.
I think that's the perfect energy to wrap up the day with, bro,
is just a sense of excitement and appreciation
and something to look forward to where we all get to fucking hang out,
enjoy our friends, make new friends, experience new things,
Ape Fest is really always an amazing experience.
So appreciate everybody who's come and spent the last hour with us as we've
talked about all sorts of stuff leading up to Ape Fest.
We will probably do this again as we get closer and have a little bit more to
But I feel like that was a hell of a lot to cover today.
So Boris, I'm going to throw it to you.
Any closing words before we wrap?
No, man, I'm excited to change my name officially to Boris Von Hustle.
I'm excited, you know, for all the stuff that the Ape Fest team have been cooking up.
And, you know, I'm just excited to be part of the best space in the world, man.
I mean, we knew it when we came into the space that, you know, it was Web3 special,
