which is cool, another ETH project coming over to 8 Chain

this is just Baron speaking, right? I've been in crypto for over 10 years.
There's always going to be days that get away from us emotionally sometimes.
And I think in that instance, just good to put down the phone,
take a step, take a breath, go engage in your life
outside of Twitter, you know, and remember that this is not the entirety of our lives. This is a
big part of our lives. But most of us do these sorts of things so we can have a better physical
experience with our family, our children, our loved ones, whatever. So this is just me.
I've gotten hot in the past for a million different reasons. Whenever that happens,
I just put the phone down, try to separate myself. So it doesn't always work. Just what I do.

you know, like every week we keep seeing the numbers go up in the clubhouse spaces because
people are just want to be part of something real. They, they got, they fell for the,
the, Oh, utility sucks. They fell for that BS and they fell for the the oh utility sucks they fell for that bs
and they fell for the vaporware meme coins and all that crap and now they're just trying to
return to something real and the proof is in the pudding the real the the real builders are here
whether it's in the club or whether it's ape chain to me it's all one of the same because
it's all powered by our community so i'm loving it man
it's been a great week and there's even more people in my dms talking about yo i'm looking
for my first ape or first mutant so a lot more people from outside our ecosystem are ready to
jump in super bullish on that yo hell yeah man it's been super exciting to see the timeline

changing the world for the better still? Yo, happy Friday. I am not. But I did want to talk about that experience because, man, it's life-changing. I've been around the world.
We just went to Portugal. I've been other places, but this trip was a little bit different. And going to Central
America was, yeah, it was definitely a big change for me. And I went down there to help finish up
building a school and donated a bunch of my happy books and plushies and was down there all week
helping. And each day we got to spend time with the kids and play soccer. It was like,
you know, it was like so much fun. And then we got to go and meet some of the families that live
close. Like these kids, like they walk, I mean, it was like up these huge hills that just like
curved and they would walk to the classrooms and then back to their homes. And we visited a local family.
And this, I mean, the house, like, they didn't have running water.
The grandma, like, took us back.
And grandmother was, like, pulling this water out of a well and just dumping it into, like, containers, like, buckets and bottles.
And that's how they stored their water.
And it's just, like, crazy.
Like, over here in the U.S, like, I mean, we have education,
we have running water, we have everything just for us.
And you go to like this other place and they have none of it.
And they were still so happy.
And like, they were actually trying to give us like,
one of their like chickens,
like just random people at their house and they're

My family's out at the zoo.
I got the house to myself.
I'm chilling in here.
So ApeStake announcement was today.
We got about 11 days until it moves over to ApeChain.
I know everyone's been waiting for it to move over to ApeChain.
I'll say this to start. We try to keep the experience pretty much the same. So the website,
you'll recognize the process of staking and unstaking. You'll recognize you don't need to
do anything with your apes. If you have a board ape, a mutant, a dog, you already have that shadow on Ape Chain.
So you don't need to do anything unless you would like to control staking from a different wallet.
So like if your ape is in your vault and on Ape Chain you use some other hot wallet or warm wallet, whatever it is,
and you'd like to do staking from that wallet,
you can delegate on mainnet to move your shadow. And I'll explain that better in a thread, but
effectively, there's a shadow tick on delegate XYZ. Check that when you're issuing a delegation,
and that delegation will actually move your shadow to that delegate wallet.
And then you'll be able to stake, unstake everything from there.
Quick note about staking though, because it's shadow based and there's a natural lag, like
if you transfer something on mainnet, the shadow won't move for like 60 seconds, maybe
90 seconds.
We have to implement a gate on withdrawing ApeCoin.
So when you deposit, that's instant. It'll be, you know, quarter second and basically free like
everything else on ApeChain. But when you withdraw, if you haven't full bridged your Ape over to ApeChain,
then when you withdraw withdraw we've got to
verify ownership so it's going to run through the whole layer zero flow and take about a minute you
don't need to wait for it if you don't want to um but once you initiate that transaction it's
actually going to go like relay through layer zero uh over to mainnet back to ape chain and then send
your funds uh after the full process
completes.
And that's basically so that you can't like list your ape on mainnet, sell it, and then
before the ownership updates on Apechain, go like rug all the Apecoin out of it.
So, that flows there for safety or whatever.
But if you full bridge your ape over then it skips that whole
process and that'll be pretty quick as well um and another quick note because i guess this is
kind of important there's a change to the dog pool it's no longer a pair pool i thought that
mechanism was kind of dumb um so it's just the dog pool. You don't have to pair it with a mutant.
You don't have to pair it with an ape. If you have a kennel, you can stake 894 or 896. I think
it's 896. You can stake that ape coin just with your dog. So simplify that. It's much easier to
manage. Other than that, website stays the same, staking stays the same.
The first couple of days, I expect rewards to be a little bit insane, right? Because the emissions
are exactly the same as they are on mainnet. But let's say you're the first person to move over
for that first tick, that first block of emissions, you'll literally get like all of them.
You'll get everything.
So if half the people move over, then emissions double.
If 75% move over, they increase by 50% or whatever.
So I expect at least a little bit of a boost.
And at first, I think it'll be a pretty big boost.
So try to move over there early.
And that's it. i'm gonna i'm gonna
ask some questions that i've gotten the dms from folks okay like when you say move it over there
you simply just mean bridge your ape chain from eth to ape chain your ape coin rather yeah yeah
yeah that's it you bridge your ape coin the n NFTs stay where they are. And you leave your ApeCoin in your wallet and the yield just occurs.
It'll just over time just be there.
That part, you have to stake.
So, I mean, if you leave it in your wallet, you'll get the native yield of ApeChain, which right now is like, I don know nine eight nine percent but if you want the the nft yield
which is upwards of like 25 30 percent um you're going to need to deposit into the ape stake
contract beautiful thank you for explaining that you don't get both so if you deposit into the
staking contract you're not going to get like the the NFT yield and the native yield at the same time.
Sorry.
You will get the NFT yield, which is much higher.
So Bored Ape, Mutant Ape, Doggo, they can be staked and you're getting your yield for that.
If you don't have any of those and you just have ApeCoin, you can leave them in your wallet and get the native yield.
Bingo.
ApeChain is just fucking for
the people is what it is it's it's the chain for the people who no matter what you do it seems like
you're getting a reward there which is not like nothing i've heard of before so i love that

Great. Everyone should touch grass this weekend. on monday i'm gonna throw it to
zards because zards has done something really cool and put something out and so i want zards
to talk about what they've been working on i'm totally making it a show space right now but i
think it's really cool what they've done so zards come on up and talk about what you've been doing
oh thanks so much man and i love what you're doing as well trust me i've been in this space
and my uh my alerts keep going off about the law for for cops so i've been following that
whilst listening but uh thank you very much and i did actually clear it with baron as well hopefully
it's okay to talk about our book that we've um uh just released um i'm just gonna quickly do
one little pin which i don't usually do um so here we go up in the nest. We've released
the first adventure. I've got to get this right. The first adventure book connected to an NFT
project on Ape Chain. So that's a specific Ape Chain project book. And so this is going to be,
well, this is the law of Zod's. So this is book one in a long series of books that we plan on doing.
And it talks about the genesis of the Zards, how they came into being. And you get thrust into a
proper like epic adventure. Absolutely, I've been influenced by things like Lord of the Rings,
Lord of the Rings, by He-Man, by Zelda, all of those kind of things.
The fighting fantasy books from the 80s and 90s, all those things.
So this is the Zard's, it's called Zard's Stories,
and book one is called The Time of Shadows.
And that's available now on Amazon as a digital, a hardback,
and a paperback book.
And there's even an onboarding section in there at the back that features marketplaces,
including Blether, OpenSea, Magic Eden.
And it sort of gives people a little 101 on how to get into Web3.
So, yeah, we wanted to do this to obviously offer something that was utility,
but available to people both in web 2 and web 3 so
that's our stories and we've got book two coming out um in june um and that's going to actually
feature a little bit towards the end of the book about the other side so it's going to show the
zards discovering the portal to the other side and that's going to be written into the into the
law of zard so really excited to be doing that and uh and there's actually a one last thing there's a big section at the back thanking um all of the
people who have supported us and who have invested in zards uh there's a little shout out to a lot of
people in this space at the back of that book as well so uh yeah thanks very much for letting me
talk about that for a minute i think it's incredible man i i think james appreciate you uh giving him
the alley-oop for that because sometimes you know we we forget how awesome it is to hear what our
friends are are making and creating and and then you get to go celebrate it together and early on

building and building and building and to see the story evolve. And then to see them kind of

So when we talk about the Ape Chain staking, so I guess it's i kind of think i know the answer already so when you stake the nft will you just basically allocate the same proportion of
ape to the nft or will it automatically um just do that you know what i'm saying
because it was like 10 000 something before on eth it it will it just automatically take
from one pool or do you have to allocate to each NFT
when it's on the new one on Ape Chain?

Yeah, it's going to be basically the exact same setup as the old site on mainnet
Okay, there just won't be the April in the pool because obviously you have native yield on a chain
Yeah, so then okay. So for instance right now, obviously, I'm already over there with all my eight coin
basically
Just basically take those and stake them from that pool um because okay cool that's
it yeah super easy guys super easy so i was crunching some numbers as well uh you know
quitt mentioned that the the yields will be crazy high the apr will be crazy high uh you know when
the ape chain uh staking site comes. So I was just crunching some numbers
and trying to see how high it's going to be.
So the BOIC only pool gives out emissions
of 32,000 ape a day right now,
which is about 1,300 ape every hour.
So when the migration happens, like the moment it happens,
which will be on April 15th in 11 days, the first person who stakes their ape on ape chain,
if like, depending on how long it takes, you know, the next person to do it,
you'll be getting 1,300 ape coin every hour untiloin every hour until the next guy comes and stakes their ape and then the next guy.
And it'll get diluted down.
But there'll be some crazy yield for probably the first day.
And for those first few hours especially, you'll get some crazy yield.
Yeah, I'll be all on top of that.
That's going to be all on top of that that's gonna be awesome yeah yeah and probably like big picture like the yields will probably generally
be higher because you know most likely not everybody who's staked on mainnet is like
closely paying attention you know there's probably some people who like you know just haven't been
looking have been away, whatever.
So overall, we can all expect our yields to be a bit higher on 8 Chain, which would be dope.
So that's great, because that was the question I was getting in DMs the most was, hey, I've got, you know, I know what I'm getting yield wise on ETH.
Is it worth it to move over? And will it be, you know, the same, more, whatever uh so that's good to know it potentially
could be more yeah it like it almost certainly will be more like you only need one person to
not come over for it to be more it'll be way more at first and it'll probably like slowly
you know flatten out to be near what it is right now on on ethereum
so you guys heard it here.
Well, secondly, because we
post about it a little bit ago, but when it
happens on April 15th,
you go ahead and start doing it if you choose
to. Quit, I did think it was really
cool that you said geo-blocking is not
an issue anymore. Can you touch on that real quick?
Yeah, that's kind of it though like at the moment
he's like yep it's done like that's it that's what i said yeah you said it you said it um now
geo blocking was always kind of uh like out of an abundance of caution i think and obviously
the regulatory environment is a lot more friendly towards crypto now.
And so on the new website, so you could always stake, even if you were in the US or another
geo-blocked area, you could always stake through the contract or some of the alternative front
ends that were out. But with the new website, it's going to be open to everybody. So in the US,
outside the US, doesn't matter where you are can you can use the website and stake and on
stake I love that and I appreciate it I mean I knew it was a simple question
with a simple answer but I think it's a really important differentiator because
before you weren't supposed to do a lot of people were maybe doing their VPN
whatever they were doing so now just to to know that, hey, it's here.
It's an available tool.
If you want to use it, it's available for you.
If you want to stake your NFTs and earn there, that's available to you.
Just another way to be benefited by your PFP, which is incredible.

yield up until that last moment just at least stay aware of that 15th date and then when that date
comes make sure that your wallet's compatible with ape chain like metamask rainbow there there's
several rabbi that are compatible probably ones that you guys are already using. Notably, not Phantom. Phantom, not compatible. So don't try to send ApeCoin
on ApeChain to a Phantom wallet. But anyway, have your wallet set up. Once that 15th date
hits, you're going to want to take the ApeCoin out from that staking contract and bridge it over
to ApeChain. There's the Relay Bridge on the ApeChain website. You guys can go check that out.
If you guys haven't seen the ApeCh Chain website recently, you might be surprised when you go to
check that out. I'm not going to give you any more hints, but the Relay site is there. You can use
that to bridge over to Ape Chain. Once you're there, you do have to have your shadow there
ready to go. So maybe you're using a hot wallet. Maybe you want to use a cold wallet. Either way,
you're going to have to then deposit the ApeCoin into that staking contract, which will be at the same website.
And I touched on delegation there, and that's where maybe things will need to be explained.
That's where more education is going to come out.
That's where you guys will need to hear more than just my words, I'm sure.
But if you go to delegate XYZ already, you can actually delegate shadows.
you can actually delegate shadows.
So if you want to keep your vault wallet,
your cold wallet structures intact,
you will be able to delegate those shadows as well
and use those again as you are now as the key
to access all of your ApeCoin there
that you have staked or that you want to stake.

they live at the same contract address as they do on mainnet. And soon enough, we'll have a little
bit of a better UX on OpenSea, probably Magic Eden as well, that will link back and forth between
the collections. So you'll know which one's the official shadow and what might be a scam. But for now, just look at the contract address. If it is the same as the mainnet contract
address for the collection, then you've got the correct shadow. But you don't need to do anything
with it, so real or fake, it shouldn't really affect anything in your eyes. You don't need to touch it.
As far as staking goes, I can't speak to the state-to-state legality of staking.
I'm not a lawyer, nor do I really pay close attention to that kind of thing. But the old staking website blocked certain people from staking, and the new one does not.
So if the website was the issue in the past, then it shouldn't be anymore.

We usually get tagged by one of three people.
Usually keep an eye out for people like Boris that are in the Discord, because new people join the club, and they'll introduce themselves in the Discord, and Boris will find them on the timeline and tag us.
We look up their ape, we look up their number, we go on the marketplace and kind of see if it was indeed like moved um recently or bought
recently and you know more oftentimes than not the name of their account on open sea or magic eden is
is close to their twitter name so that's kind of like our our verification process of being like okay this is probably they they're probably legit
dude so like before the hexagon days i've gone through this process of trying to manually verify
apes too it's hard so what you guys are doing appreciate the extra work and the research that
you guys are doing just to like try to curate the curator club a little bit more honestly,
which is like, you know, as I'm saying this, like bring back the hex man.

This space is also a favorite of mine i i missed the beginning
i'm gonna go listen to playback now but i said it previously i feel even more so that just it really
with the the changes with the foundation and and uh that team over there you know the big the big
news with cam and one and and well bam and group. And just really feels like all these different entities,
all these different sub communities, all these different groups of, of leaders are,
I've really started rowing in a similar direction and if not the same direction. And I, it's wild
to think that this is almost four years into this thing, but I truly do believe like this,
this foundation is, is maybe the strongest or
not even maybe, I think undoubtedly the strongest it's ever been. And it was kind of wild. I think
you mentioned something about four years earlier and I looked at the stage and like, no joke,
I think there was like 50 years of combined club membership on the stage. Like that's,
I don't know how many 2021 projects can, can, can spin up a space and have a stage full of people who've been in the club
for four years. It really is impressive. I think it says a lot about that foundation. It's not just
the infrastructure and all the funding, but it really is an incredible group of people,
many of which of us are are very very
passionate about this club and yeah exciting time to be here thanks again for hosting yeah i'm
excited for ape con uh if you guys don't listen to his show coffee with captain every monday through
friday at godly hours for me but it's like 9 30 a.m eastern time right 8 a.m eastern 8 uh 8 to 10
eastern yep love your show man to try to whenever i wake up early i definitely that's the first Eastern time, right? 8 a.m. Eastern. 8 to 10 Eastern. Yep.

since 2021 i think that's when we launched so yeah we've been grinding um i am super excited
about the future uh really with uh blockchain just because the infrastructure has become so

the space you feel like you might not belong and the things might be just at such high level of articulation that you just can't comprehend what's happening.
And oftentimes you might feel like an imposter.
And I'm happy I get to launch that on Ape Chain.
Like I haven't dropped any large collections since 2021.
And with Ape Chain and all the spotlight stuff, I really feel like it's a great place to release something like that.
So I'm creating it for all the people that feel like they don't belong.
And, hey, a lot of us faking the funk till we really make it.
And it's been an amazing journey.

I do want to say, like lately, I've been thinking a lot about the future of crypto and I'm super excited for it, but in a very different way than I was before.
Like Bored Dev was saying towards the beginning. Um, I was doing
a little bit of traveling. I was down in Costa Rica for, for the first quarter of this year and
saw the same thing, man, like everybody down there, super friendly, super relaxed,
low stress. They didn't have much, you know, dirt floors, et cetera, et cetera. But, you know,
everyone's just happy and the community's strong. And, uh, And I think like the things that they were missing down there,
obviously a bank account, nobody had a bank account really.
And it was very hard to get money around.
So that's one thing.
And I think crypto absolutely solves that.
But then so much more like what they did have, strong community,
all that kind of stuff, I think should be rebuilt on chain.
So I'm excited to move in that direction and no better place to do that than the club. So ApeChain on top. Happy Friday. I can't wait to see, uh, the extension
