Welcome to Coffee with Captain GM.
GM, thanks so much for joining.
If you've already done so,
Give us a subscribe over there.
We'd get 10 new subs a day.
It would be absolutely wonderful.
The rest of you already getting the spaces warmed up on X.
Not going to have to remind you.
Appreciate all the love there.
And as well as we're also live over on abstract,
the abstract and YouTube links are pinned up top and it's a Friday.
So it's a weekly reminder to look for that newsletter on tomorrow morning.
The weekly newsletter comes out.
Find that at coffee with captain.com.
but you'll get the weekly recap and weekly pool in there and some new stuff
We had a great meeting yesterday with a sponsor.
We'll be soon be announcing and I'm excited.
I think some new stuff and haven't seen him really talked about too many other
places and doing some really cool stuff,
And I'm excited to talk more about that in the very near future.
a couple of sponsors excited to talk about,
more about here in the very near future,
I don't even know one of these topics we're going to talk about today is,
but I'm not even sure if it's our,
if they've partnered with our actual sponsor or
another but um again appreciate y'all being here happy friday to everyone and a lot to get into
busy day actually more so than i can remember we've got uh nfts in the news today a lot a lot
of things happening in that space um we'll talk a little bit about the El Mundo mint this week.
Quirky's floor seems to be on fire.
Big 10-Eats sale over there yesterday.
Klaino's doing a under-the-radar lab mint.
Chippers migrating to a new contract.
I got a little bit of feedback.
Can I just get a quick, my apologies, but can I get a quick audio?
Is anyone else getting feedback, or did you hear that beep uh let me know in the chat here in about 15 seconds
after the delay um i i think we're okay but uh just a little something new never quite heard
before so just want to double check um general wags out there loading up on uh loading up on rect and making money at the same
time i saw my rect drink cherry coola yeah a little feedback let me
i don't want to mess anything up because it wasn't i mean i got i'm assuming it's like me
okay, just something's off. Is that, I don't know another way to describe it. Let me, I'm
just going to, you know, I'm going to do, I'm just going to unplug this, plug it back
in. That muted it. It sounded like the feedback of like an aux cable
plugged into the bottom of the iphone so here no feedback okay we're good i'm just gonna roll
with it if it gets bad or gets worse please let me know uh don't suffer in misery if the audio
goes out but um katie can hear it too
see so that is abstract can hear it too. Let's see. So that is abstract, can hear it, but
Akveli was not hearing it over on YouTube. So I really don't
know. How bad is it, Katie? Do I troubleshoot or power
through only once? Okay, so we're just gonna roll with it.
Then if it's something goes off the rails and gets bad, let me
know. I'll unplug and plug back in more cords because that's about the exit of my tech troubleshooting.
So we're going to keep going as if nothing is off.
Thanks for the production help.
Your producer's rolling deep today.
Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio. Your producer's rolling deep today. So this is General Wags, Indiana,
Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio. Your arbitrage has arrived. Giant Eagle, you can buy a wrecked
drinks case for just $6.99 for a four-pack. You can claim $50 million wreck, which right now
that's about $17 to $18 or almost a 3X on your money. Three drinks, and then $12 of extra rect.
I'm going to go ahead and actually send this to my parents and my brother in Cincinnati,
Send it to my mom and brother in Cincinnati and encourage them to go buy some rect drinks.
Stock the fridge and claim some blame 50 million of rec good deal there i also see i've been seeing more and more
x games heating up yeah everyone heard the beep but audio not bad okay very very little static
yeah thank you for all the assistance if the static gets worse let me know we can the one
I have no idea what would have caused that
or where that would have came from,
but it's another day here on X and we just never know.
Part of what I love about this is something new every day.
Sometimes, sometimes we know what that is.
Don't, there's the beep again.
No clue what that beep is coming from
but because i have no clue where it's coming from i also have no clue how to turn it off so
i was gonna i was gonna crowdsource the title this morning maybe we include beeping maybe we
include something about uh got uh got a few hairs cut yesterday and this week had my first waxing experience.
That's about all the cold open fodder I've got this morning, but it can finally appreciate the 40 year old virgin.
Probably my dying roadcaster very well could be the dying roadcaster.
This thing is on its last leg.
Your pain's probably right.
I've had the roadcaster has been powered on.
I just don't power it off
anymore because power button i gotta push a button as it went out and it is like i you know
i grew up in a religious household i haven't attended church for a few years i might have to
start going back to church just to uh make sure the roadcaster is blessed because i've thought
many there's been multiple days.
I thought we're going to have to go audio only because I couldn't get it to
And then miraculously I get the power button works after about 50 attempts.
So now I just leave it on.
Now it's just powered on 24 seven.
So it's probably is the broadcaster.
got finally could appreciate the 40 year old-old virgin waxing scene after.
I'm not a 40-year-old virgin, not 40.
So I shared that actually, the conception story with stats in a comment.
If anyone wants to discover how my 18-year-old daughter got conceived.
TMI, but it's out there on the internet.
So lacrosse season, we got, I mean, wasn't in doubt.
She's played for, this is her fourth year.
She's played all every year.
And so it wasn't really in question to make the team, but the tryouts finished yesterday.
So excited for one final hoorah as it comes to sports this beeping's gonna drive
me nuts i'm just gonna try power through it's the last time i'm gonna comment on it if it gets worse
if it gets annoying let me know i i really don't even it's brand new 1081 shows into this thing
and it is just now actually does anyone remember when did we go?
I'm trying to think, did we use the Rodecaster prior to video?
But I don't remember when, and it doesn't matter.
I've exhausted our open time on waxing and beeping,
but it's thrown me for a loop.
My ADD brain does get distracted very easily and the beeping is one.
I would do my best to ignore it, not comment on it.
If it gets worse for anyone else, let me know.
And I'll attempt to unplug and plug in more cords, as I said.
But back to the business at hand, market's kind of choppy.
I mentioned we got a few headlines some nft momentum actually mega eth doing some major numbers they've already eclipsed
multiple uh long long running blockchains in terms of total transactions in just a very
short period of time and um it was not artificial mesh mesh man there's a few places I almost went but
we're gonna keep this a family family show this is hilarious
Suyin Suyin X am I saying that? Had to check if she'd left.
She's on her, she's going to walk out the door.
I'm stalling briefly, but this is hilarious.
Like this is, we're going to,
this is worth extending the quote open for two more minutes
because Suyin says, Cap, waxing.
Tell me you're dating a Latina
without telling me you're dating a Latina. Cap, waxing. Tell me you're dating a Latina without telling me you're dating a Latina.
After the waxing. And what I got waxed was like the back of my neck, you know, where I normally shave.
And as a, you know, not easy to like shave this back part of your neck.
I've cut myself a few times. And anyways, long story short, this was the area.
and um anyways long story short this was the area that's all i've gotten wax so far is like this area
That's all I've gotten waxed so far is like this area.
and um it's like fine it's not that bad but i yeah my waxer did did kiss me afterwards so
you not only did i are you spot on my latina girlfriend is actually who did the waxing
and uh yeah i don't know i didn't know this was a thing today i learned that latinas and waxing
are like uh like peanut butter and jelly i guess i don't i did not know this was a thing. Today I learned that Latinas and waxing are like
peanut butter and jelly, I guess. I did not
know this until right now, this very minute. I also
the haircut yesterday was
a Latino. I go in unbeknownst
basically anyways. I got served some Cuban
coffee. It wasn't a colada. It was some other Cuban coffee. That was the first time I've had,
but I am, I'm not kidding. I'm fully embracing the lifestyle as an honorary Latino. And, um,
I feel, I feel like I can do this because there was someone there yesterday. I believe the,
I think it was from Cuba. I didn't ask, but he was pacier than me. So I did not know this. I think I can, um, I think I can pull it off. I think as long as I can somehow learn to speak Spanish, I think I can, uh, I think I can pull it off. and said she'd been here for Vintacinco.
Obviously, I can't speak very fluent,
but I did interpret that she'd been here for 25 years
without having to be told that.
So my brain is learning by osmosis.
I don't know if this is a result of our text the other day
and you're trolling me here, Von Fronten.
I've attempted a diet before,
and not joking, I feel like I'm like a poor man's version of Ryan Day. And I just can't do,
I know that there's ways to make it better, but I've even had it done professionally,
not just myself. I've done like the Just for Men, tried to do that. I've went and had,
you know, stylists die my, it just never looks right. I don't know if it's my shade.
I don't know if they just do too much, but it does kind of like the crow's feet are gone.
Well, not gone, gone, but they've diminished thanks to modern medicine.
And this, I just don't know.
I don't like how it looks like I have a mustache from videos, especially against this wall.
So two things later that happened.
I probably attempt to dye this or paint the wall because it's like I'm not trying to rock a mustache at this point in my life.
I don't know how else I'm supposed to say a rapist
that's just what they're called
anyone can help me on that
I'll attempt to pronounce it another way
but Payne, I thought it was
at a cold open like nine minutes in
man, Jack, did you hear that beep?
yeah, that was a weird beep.
It sounded like the old AOL broadband connection.
You've used this tech to say, I think, pretty much similar setup as me.
Any ideas what it even might be?
I've never heard it before, ever.
It sounds like something's loose.
I'm guessing that's probably it another cable
going bad it's so yeah all this equipment and the biggest issues i've had as far as thus far is is
actually just the cables going bad which is it's not like i'm pulling them out with my teeth or
anything like they should yeah they just sit in there and degrade very rapidly yeah i i am so with you on
that yeah you're probably right and unfortunately this one is going to lead to see if i can show
you this one's going to lead to not just a new aux cable this thing here this aux cable i kid
you not steve overnighted it to me once because you can't buy them anywhere the only ones that work yes the double freeze yep the only
that work on with a roadcaster for spaces is apple oem aux cables for the the lightning not the usbc
but this is a iphone 12 i think and the only ones that work are apple oem the only ones you can buy
apple discontinued it the only ones you can find online maybe you could get go ebay and find a user but the only ones you can find are aftermarket aftermarket ones don't
work i i went through like a dozen of them oh cap i might have some alpha for you on that yeah
it's actually just so you know when you i can't do it without you not hearing me is the problem
because my setup is also plugged in right now but when you unplug an aux cable they have either two rings on them
or three on both sides you need the one with the three it doesn't have to be apple but if you've
been using aux cables and you don't know about aux cables it was one of the banes of my life
when i first had my roadcaster setup nobody I was speaking to people with Rodecasters
everywhere. No one was like, dude, it's
just the AUX cable. You need a three-pronged
thing. I don't know how I found
the answer to that, but that's all it is.
I will send you an image of what I mean, if that
Basically, when you unplug
your AUX cable, and I'm going to do it now so you won't
We'll be back in a second there is there is basically two black rings that you will see on the actual sort of metal that
goes into the aux like the actual plug-in bit for most aux cables you need the one which is has
three of them on it and if you do that that's basically audio to feed connection whilst the
So it's like for your headphones to listen, but not to make noise.
So probably the Apple thing was something to do with the fact
that you could speak through the headphones, et cetera.
So yeah, that's all you need.
You need the three-pronged one, and it doesn't have to be Apple.
Well, I think what it's going to do, though,
instead of trying to hunt down a correct aux cable again
after failing a dozen times and
having to give steve send me an old one i'm just gonna go i'm just gonna go upgrade the second phone
because it's well due and i only use it for like redundancy on here you're like the coffee with
captain account will come up on stage in a bit but it's still plugged in because the battery shot on
it it's like 69 battery life so not only is the battery drain fast you're not familiar apple part
of their planned obsolescence strategy is once the battery degrades to below 80 health
it also drastically impacts the performance of the phone yes and and so it's just i haven't
upgraded it because i don't need a new phone i was just gonna get a watch uh you don't have a um
a magnet one or is that because the phone's so old that it doesn't do the magnet charge
um no actually no that's what i do dude i've got a belkin magnet charger i means this is actually
my my setup here is i have the my primary phone plug on the the anchor charger which is magnetic
and i guess what i could do i could pull that off and
move the backup charger um and then you can still have the aux in it's now still charging
consistently i don't have that problem curious if pain is disgusted that we've we've carried the
cold open now 20 minutes or he's he's ecstatic that we've we've actually solved some troubleshooting
issues live in real time i apologize for everyone else yeah. Yeah, my bad. I'm such a monologue.
This is why I haven't been on the show for so long.
Now I just got a pop in my ear.
We might get off the rails today.
This thing, we might do three hours
or we might shut it down in 45 minutes
because I don't know what is going on right now.
It's painful, painful dude it's like
every word you say there's this tiny crackle at the end of each word it's yeah i don't know if
you just literally need to blow the orcs cable you know the old um like a nintendo 64 trick
where you just blow through the cartridge like try that on the two ports um i don't know if you
have to help me troubleshoot or you have something else on your mind let the two ports um i don't know if you're up to help me
troubleshoot or you have something else on your mind let's do this if you don't mind
can you give me like 60 to 90 seconds of air cover i'm gonna do the i kid you not i'm gonna
unplug everything i'm gonna i am gonna do the old nintendo trick i'm gonna blow in the aux cable
and um and then since since you since you were at it i'm gonna go refill the coffee and i'll be
right back yeah now i'm i gotta to pop in my left ear first.
Now I got to pop right here.
It's definitely getting worse.
It's like, oh, my God, I'm getting electric right now because something is really off,
and I don't know what it is.
Jesus is coming up as well.
This coffee is – today is – we're giving alpha for spaces.
I actually have, I do have a legitimate piece of alpha.
I thought of this morning.
I was going to tweet it out for spaces host FYI.
So for the next, like, I really do have like market talk.
We've got, I do want to talk about some of this NFT stuff.
I do want to talk about Maggie Eath.
I do have some things we will get to, but cables with captain.
Cables, cables alpha on coffee with captain. It'll be very confusing. No one will know what we're talking about, but we're going to do
it. So if we could do this, let me, Jack, I'm going to hand it to you, take it 60, 90 seconds,
then hand it to Jesus. I will listen. I'm going to set my headphones off and I'm going to turn
the volume up and I'm going to do the unplug, the cable and refill my coffee i'll be right back thank you all for bearing with us as we try to figure what else is going on and if i um i don't
think anyone here has my location but if if i if i get short-circuited um yeah i don't even know if
anyone knows how to to get a hold of like an emergency contact for me but i can kind of uh
jack the mic is yours thank you again for the help yeah uh cap if you're still hearing me also don't just blow on the cables please blow into
the ports like the actual thing the cables are being plugged into because that's where you might
just have like a little bit of lint from your pocket that is wrecking the whole thing uh guys
look hit us in the comments if there's anything that you wanted me and cap to talk about today outside
of our aggressively long monologue about aux cables and our roadcaster setups roadcasters if
you're really really lost in this conversation they're the big fat chunky like it looks like
a dj booth thing they're the things that all hosts have so that we can speak through mics because x is
ridiculously behind the time where you can't just like connect a mic to a desktop and run it the
space will not work properly and if you try and host the space through desktop it just completely
destroys your reach you can't comment you can't like people look there's all sorts of bugs that
happens when you try and do spaces i'm really hoping elon does fix this but it's also why so many people are going live stream
now and let me check the comments let's see what is going on in the comments and then we'll get it
to jesus jesus just a heads up you're showing as a listener to me which means i won't see a hand
raise um but i know you're up on stage so give me a wave emoji i still should
catch yeah can you hear me yeah yeah you're coming through crystal yeah anything you want to talk
about today and yeah i mean i'm on your mind well i dropped the uh it's an old thread i dropped an
old thread uh in the comments for that shows that that's three um the three ring aux cable it shows
you how to set up a roadcaster one uh if you If you're not following Chris D, he has some good content
how to set up a Duo and a RODECaster Pro 2.
But it doesn't matter. We all have these technical
shitty issues. I get pops in my microphone. Sometimes I'll swap
where my microphone's at. So Cap, if you're getting popping,
I would just change the jack where your XLR is going into.
So you think it might actually be,
the popping might be coming from the mic?
I'll just, I'll have one of my co-hosts or somebody talk
I'll just power down the roadcaster
and power it back up and the popping stops.
Because it may not power back on.
That's part of the issue.
Payne and I referencing about,
about once a week on minimum when we're doing some post pro production,
he was going to be the first person I reach out to after the show,
because I do need to buy,
would you say a duo is the best for like mobile travel with,
with her doing this sort of stuff?
I've never messed with the duo.
I've always had the roadcaster one.
And then now I have the pro two,
whether it's from Spotify or Amazon or wherever,
sounds like shit and i don't understand why but i also have a iphone 16 and i'm just plugged
straight in with a usbc with a magnetic charger um and i've got some alpha for you as well jesus
the music is horrible what's what's up jack because i will fucking try it so when you scroll
on your phone you know when you scroll on your phone
you know when you scroll down and bring up this menu yeah i've tried that bro it does not matter
what so you've got the thing where it's like the audio is i don't know what it's like spatial
awareness or something yeah set it to and that doesn't work no then it might you might need the
the three-pronged audio cable as well it It might just be the Lightning. Well, I don't have a Lightning.
I have an iPhone 16, so I'm USB-C.
It's either that or you got to go with a...
Chris D has this wild fucking setup
and I even tried that route.
And I don't know what it is.
It might be the duo then because um or the two
because to my knowledge i'm still on the one because the one has never steered me wrong yeah
this yeah so i i think that's the again x is just really behind on audio like connections so you
almost have to preempt the fact that it's on old software because if you get
a product that's too new it won't be built to support it so i think that's why i've always
stuck with the one although it is a pain in the ass when you're traveling because this thing
literally only just about fits into a travel suitcase like this is how big this thing is for
the audience it's it's so fat it's also like a kilogram uh so it's and
also it's such a weird shape and so it's just a pain in the ass to travel with but that's always
been my thing yeah 100 so like i used to i used to travel cross country i used to move military
families cross country in the united states i would host spaces from my 18 wheeler. I had my roadcaster set up on a fucking, uh, on a ice chest.
I had a microphone that swung around that was bolted to the back of the seat and I would
And I did that for three years with a roadcaster one.
And it, you know, I never had any problems and, um, I still have the roadcaster one on
I just, I haven't brought it back
out yet and i like the features on the roadcaster too uh because you get a lot more you get you just
get a lot more bang for your buck but the audio in the beginning we just cannot figure it out it
is what it is uh it's like a running joke on my spaces now so um you know the audio sucks the content during the space is fun and um if you're
here for the audio don't don't tune in for that so um but cap yeah i think you'd be good with a
reset bro um yeah i mean i feel like cap's coming through clear uh now like cap can you do you want
to do a little mic check or maybe Or maybe he's getting his coffee now.
But yeah, he definitely didn't have any of the crackling.
Although now I'm seeing, like, I'm frozen.
I think we might have witnessed the Roadcaster dying in real time.
It seems to be functioning.
Can you hear me at all right now?
Because I've got no feedback, no audio coming back.
We hear you. I don't think he hears us.
I don't think he hears us.
Welcome to the Jack and Cheese show
Yeah, Cap can talk. He can't hear.
If anyone wants to DM Cap, cap um i will dm him yeah
i bet you he's already dm me being like jack what is now i'm watching his stream at the same time
and he's like on mode trying to fix that you can hear me perfectly okay so if you all can hear me
can i get another guest speaker on the stage i need to determine if it's jack and jesus that
for some reason it cut them out can someone else if you can hear me, can I get another guest speaker on the stage? I need to determine if it's Jack and Jesus, if for some reason it cut them out.
If you can hear me, can someone else jump up on stage
just to do a quick check?
I'm just going to hop off and hop back on.
and we are troubleshooting here in real time.
This is the universe's way to say cap
you got it you can't you talked far too long about waxing and um no he can't hear nobody he can't
hear me no can you hear me i heard that i heard that yeah i can hear you guys i could hear everybody
check check can you hear me yeah i can hear, but Cap can't hear none of us.
I see him up there, but I am.
Cap needs to leave the space and come back.
So I can't hear any of them.
I'm going to tell him before he rugs this mic.
If it's just a my issue thing.
Can all of you hear any of the others?
You're going to have to type it because I can't hear anything you're saying.
Yeah, I told him he needs to leave the space and reconnect.
You can all hear me, but I can't hear.
I literally can't hear anyone else.
What do you guys want to talk about?
Do we get a cap canceled?
Remember when he had to turn up the volume because he couldn't hear us?
Who's got a ticker we can chill here?
Let's get it going while we can.
What was that one that rucked recently, Ralph?
This is totally his ploy to just get everybody up here and talk instead.
He's like, oh, can I get some speakers up here to test?
Now we're all like having the show for him.
It will all just be fixed in a second.
He'll be like, oh, I can hear you guys.
He's gone out for breakfast.
Look, can I just say how much this is a testament to Cap's audience
that you guys are all still here 30 minutes into a cold open.
Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to
close the space. It could be fair. I only
arrived like a minute ago.
Without it closing the space.
He's about to close the space.
That's what I told him. I said
close your X. Don't close
Guys, we're all going to't come back in a minute, I'll spin up a brand new space.
Guys, we're all going to get rooked in a second.
And if you don't see me back in here, you'll see a new space on the timeline.
Appreciate your patience.
Honestly, this is the most fun I've had in a space in a while.
I'm not even mad about this.
Yeah, I haven't had this issue in a while. I have this issue when I
leave when I'm still hosting a space and I leave my
house and disconnect from my Wi-Fi.
As soon as you go on 5G from
It's not a fan of that. I'm aware.
have a wrist. As soon as you go on 5G
Now you got to mute a tab or something,
Gap. I got you back. So that worked.
Oh, no. Oh, I do not like the
What about sending a co-host
to one of those guys and you have another co-host
may help you out a little.
Jack since he was up here first.
You're also finding me now.
It sounds good on my end, but you guys...
Jack feels like he just got the sword and
Yeah, yeah, I know what you mean. I am off
bow down before me and my
Yes, sire. Yes, sire. Jack, sire. I am Arthur. Bow down before me and my co-host powers. Yes, sire.
This was a true team effort this morning.
Yeah, if you think us Faces hosts have it easy, you caught in real time.
Often this stuff goes haywire behind the scenes, but we just figure it out.
Sometimes it's like my recurring trick is just unplug and plug back in cables.
That wasn't working today.
I think, I think what happened is the roadcaster was definitely doing something funky earlier.
It power cycled automatically.
It power cycled automatically.
So I lost audio for a bit.
And I think for some reason when it did that, I think then X crapped out, but I think we're good.
So I don't want to jinx anything, but I do think we're good now.
And we have a stage full of legends. So I don know pain maybe we do this every time this was all a long long con for me to get a stage of legends on this is what i said
when you were right you were so i totally called it i'm like cap wants to have a really fun friday
spaces he's gonna ask folks to come up as guests to help him out. And here we are. I love it.
35 minutes into the cold open.
Every once in a while, Payne, you got to forgive me.
Every once in a while, you got to let us get off the rails.
We're just going to old school spaces today.
We will probably hit on some of these items.
The NFT stuff, the Mega ETH stuff, Larry Fink stuff.
I mean, it's fun, but it's not this fun. So we're just going off the rails today and um outer jumped up i don't want to spoil our our tuesday
cold open but i have now watched season one or episode one of the night of seven kingdoms oh snap okay i mean hey i'm here for that
for you is this the new game of thrones thing it is yeah oh i'm so excited for this you should be
excited and it's very different like if if you if you like thought the game of thrones
original series or even house of dragon was like too dark and bloody and this is i think
we'll see i have read the books the first episode to me i
think this is going to be like a lighter series it's going to be more comedic not as much like
blood and guts there's no dragons in this series um okay but did you have ptsd though from house
of dragon and game of thrones watching this though because like at every step of the way
divide and i were like someone's gonna die to die. Someone's going to die. Someone's going to die right now.
Like your favorite character.
Like you, you get an emotional connection to one character.
And then you try and pretend you don't have that connection.
So he doesn't die immediately or they don't die immediately.
Have you read the series?
Is this, are you, when you watch it, is this the first have you read the the series is this are you when you watch it
is this the first time you're hearing the storyline no i i've not had anything to do with the books
and when divide and i watched game of thrones that was like actually i think 2023 i want to say we
went to nftnyc and got covid for the first time and the only thing we could do was sit on our couch
and at that point all we knew about
game of thrones was that it had dragons in it like we knew nothing except that it had dragons in it
like that was that was our extent of knowledge and so we binged all seasons all in a row during that
like 14 days of just being manic and sick and that's how we got into the entirety of like this
whole series and i think we talked about it with Steve too, how we have a different take on the ending versus people that waited for like
like it all arrived at the same time.
I don't even know if I remember when season like seven ended and eight began.
Cause we just pressed the next episode until it was over.
and then how's the dragon happened,
because at first we literally told ourselves, we're like, oh man, we're kind of sick of this.
Because it was literally like three months or something before that came out,
after us binging and getting into the Game of Thrones ecosystem.
And both of us, when it came out, were like, we're not sick of it.
And so when this came out, though, because this is all recent to us, is my point.
This has only been a few years that we're in this entire ecosystem ecosystem but we've not read the books so everything is like unexpected we
never know what's actually happening and we kind of love it that way i love it so first time watching
a game of thrones series live did i or did you do house of dragon live or was that we we did house
of dragon live and then game of of Thrones all at once. Okay.
I'm not going to, no spoilers here.
We're not going to spoil anything that hasn't happened in Night of Seven Kingdoms.
It's not a spoiler, but I have to ask Outer,
what did you think of the opening scene
did you get the meaning behind the poop scene
like i i was just both shocked and pleasantly surprised because i know that's the thing that
everybody will remember from that entire episode because it was such a like hilarious thing to see
and like what was interesting is and i feel like i'm spoiling things though but i kind
of know but maybe i am i don't know like because this is this too much info people haven't seen
this yet like i'm gonna try to be cautious when i talk about it i've never seen any game of thrones
or anything oh my goodness i'm actually envious right now of machiavelli i wish i could go back
and watch the entire game of Thrones for the first time.
The ending got a bad rap by a lot of people, got bad reviews after the first several seasons were, you know, iconic.
The showrunners ran out of George R.R. Martin's source material, and they kind of fumbled the ball at the goal line.
But, like, this is, I don't think this is spoiling anything. It opens in a very...
So Duncan, Sir Duncan, is one of the lead characters,
one of the characters of this first episode.
And the night he was serving,
this all happens within minutes.
It happens like, so their cold open,
we're never going to do this on Coffee with Captain,
their cold open is, you know, his longtime knight he was serving dies, and he's becoming a knight himself.
He's like, I'm going to go to this tournament.
And as he's saying that, then it cuts into, like, the opening, the song intro.
And while the song, the intro song is playing, you see him quite literally
pooping, um, like projectile pooping. And at first I'm like, what in the, like, what,
where are we going here? What is this? And so again, not spoiling anything. You see this in
like the first few seconds, your first few minutes of the show. So I had to Google it. I'm like,
my brain didn't register.
Because then I watched the episode and afterwards,
I was like, why did they include,
like that poop scene made no sense.
Like what the, what was the purpose of that poop scene?
There actually is a purpose.
Martin was surprised when he first saw it.
Cause it was not in the books.
The poop scene was not in the books.
I was going to ask if that was in the,
if it was like as descriptive and in the book. So are you going to like, what, what is the purpose? Or should I just look this up? Cause I don't know. The poop scene was not in the books. I was going to ask if that was as descriptive and in the book.
So what is the purpose, or should I just look this up?
I've got it pulled up here. I will paraphrase.
This is Sir Duncan, you'll see.
And basically, the TLDR here, I'm not going to read the whole thing,
but, you know, again, immediately as soon as you hear the music,
the reality of what takes place, what actually go off and do.
So basically, they asked their actual writer, the showrunner Ira Parker, about the scene,
specifically the context of Dunk hearing the Game of Thrones theme music as he fantasizes about his future tourney.
So he basically says, OK, I'm going to go be a knight. I'm going to compete in this tourney.
He says immediately as you hear the music, the reality of what it takes to actually go off and do it and how terrifying it is hits him.
And it forces him to this unheroic situation,
which hopefully is very understandable for a lot of people who've had a big
idea and they've been hit with the reality of, Oh my God, I'm going to do this.
But now I actually have to go do this thing. Um,
so that kind of makes sense to me. Like I've never shat myself, um,
after, but I've, I've definitely said, okay, I'm going to do this thing.
And they're like, Oh, am I really going to go do this thing?
Don't ask me any more information about that.
That's such a funny take.
He was a dev on the Dookie Dash tournament.
Divadena interpreted it as just like, oh, wow.
They're really leaning into showing all of the minutiae of everyday life back then it's like
not like he was gonna like arrive at some toilet anyways so of course he's gonna just like you know
drop drawers and like you know take a shit right there behind a tree and then move on with his
life like we didn't actually think it was like a panic poop it was more like a yep that's what
you do before you get on your horse and leave in whatever time frame this is supposed to be.
That's definitely, you know, just not the era of Japanese toilet showrooms.
It was a it was a panic poop.
We've coined the phrase panic poop here on the show this morning.
And I will be doing everything I can to incorporate panic poop into Coffee with Cap.
I feel so seen right now as someone with IBS who, you know, won't let the really, really difficult things put me off doing that thing
or the really scary things doing that thing.
So whoever it was who agreed to put that into the show at the start,
like big, big fan of you.
I'm assuming you're also struggling with IBS troubles.
But yeah, year seven school play.
Don't ask me any more about it.
Hey, Cap, what's the ticket
If this was the Me Mania, we would definitely
have a panic poop contract addressed right now.
I also, we're going to get to all
of our guests. Appreciate all the legends.
Joey, hold on. Just so you know, we lost you
on the ABS stream for a few minutes
and now you're really quiet on the ABS
stream, but everybody else is really loud.
try to throw it out with the mic as much as I can, but appreciate the heads up. few minutes and now you're really quiet on the abs stream but everybody else is really loud i'll uh
i'll try to throw the mic as much as i can but um appreciate the heads up and um yeah i'm also
it's not lost on me my mother my other second favorite thing that's happened this morning
coffee with crapping we're we are crapping with captain um this is, this is, I, it's, I.
It must be a meme, like a meme by now,
or at least a gif, right?
That scene, like I imagined.
If not, someone please go make the pooping scene gif.
We spoiled like the cold open.
We won't, we won't spoil anything else
about Night of Seven Kingdoms.
I also have to acknowledge that my, maybe my favorite thing that's happened in quite a while
on coffee with captain is this morning I sent Brett a DM and said, Hey, going to talk mega
today and no obligations, but if you can jump up, love to have you. And I'm pretty sure as soon as
Brett joined the audience, he joins to not the serious conversation about MegaEath and all the amazing technical stuff they're doing, rather panic pooping, IBS, and probably wondering what he just walked into.
Brad, thank you for being here.
And we are going to talk a little bit MegaEath in a minute, so no obligations, but you are welcome. You don't even have to acknowledge the poop conversation. Um,
but I will recommend, uh,
If you haven't watched it yet,
Now that we got out of the way,
I don't think we need any more poop talk this morning,
I will always have a fond memory of Jack's seventh grade play where you
you know what I've realized?
Game of Thrones is the ultimate, ultimate hook for a show.
Like, you know the way on like shorts now on TikTok,
Like, how do you keep people involved?
First Game of Thrones, they immediately show you a White Walker,
there's going to be dragons and you have to wait basically six seasons before any of that stuff
comes to fruition the antithesis of a hook that keeps you into the show now they've gone a step
further and it's just a dude pooping like i i don't know what that is going to do in terms of retention, but I'm assuming that they have figured out the algo for HBO series and
what do we do in the very,
very first scene to keep people hooked?
And the answer was pooping.
the organic nature of human defecation being the best way to keep people interested in a show.
I just, I find that beautiful and kind of romantic.
Pooping for six seasons is diabolical.
I'm just catching up now on all the other chats.
Game of Porcelain Thrones.
Coffee with crapping would be okay,
but I think crapping with captain Is a better alliteration there
That is what we should have opened the show with today
Coffee does induce crapping though
I don't drink coffee so no idea
I drink a lot of coffee on this show
And I've never once crapped myself
Then again Cap you're really like physically fair and
you look after yourself um so you're you know you're probably on a pretty decent routine
if i don't have my morning coffee i can't poop like and literally that could be a whole day
if i don't have a coffee i don't poop crapping with captain is definitely on brand, though. I'm with Captain on this one.
Payne, I really am attempting to think about a professional way to segue from Crapping with Captain to maybe the Burbs Marathon,
maybe the Mega ETH Mania,
maybe any of these other, like, the Quirky's Flurs.
I'm attempting to find a good way to segue
I'll bite I got you listen
is the burp token out yet or not
was I supposed to claim something I'm
Kramer walking into the apartment what's happening
great question you were supposed to
you did see the pudgy soulbound token collaboration.
And the token is not out yet.
It is available for pre-market trading on at least one of the DEXs or SEXs.
They're running a 24-hour Solana Burbathon.
I tuned in for a little bit. If anyone's tuned in uh i tuned in for a little bit if anyone's tuned in
for when i say a little bit like a few seconds and i don't maybe it was just i caught it a bad time
i didn't get it i i was i was like am i doing am i doing live audio and streaming wrong because it
was just i i it lost they lost me pretty quickly not knocking it may i get i know luke was on there
i'm sure they've had some good content.
It's also, I know how challenging it could be
to run a two-hour, two consecutive hours show
seven days a week, you know, 24 hours consecutively
and having interesting things to talk about would be,
like they probably talked about the poop scene
at some point, I'm guessing.
They're more professional than that.
But what we know is they have this.
And I'm not sure when it started exactly or when it ends.
Four hours and 40 minutes left.
I'm speculating like the grand finale of this marathon will be.
By the way, come Trinity, drop the gif in the chat.
If anyone wants to get a visual of that projectile poop scene,
Last comment, that'll be the last time we talk.
I mean, you can reference
crapping with Captain or something like that,
but that's the last we're going to talk about
Game of Thrones poop scene.
But the gif is in the chat.
I knew it had to be out there.
Appreciate the assist on that.
And back to burbs. I'm speculating as it, like the grand finale of
their 24 hour stream will be announcing the token date. If it's pre-market trading now,
it's got to be coming soon. They said, initially he said soonish, this was like back in Q3, Q4.
They said initially he said soonish. This was like back in Q3, Q4. Then he said Q5, kind of alluding to like early Q1 was my was my reading between the lines there.
And so I do think I'm not saying it's going to happen in January, but I think they announce a date of when TGE will be within the next four hours. Maybe not. Maybe it has nothing to do with this Burbathon,
but that is my speculation,
is I think today we will get a TGE date for Burbs.
Joey, thoughts on that, and we'll go back to Jack.
Yeah, I've periodically jumped into the 24-hour stream just randomly to see what's going on.
They had Nick as a guest.
They've had a bunch of people as guests um on there talking
about stuff um they look pretty exhausted at this point the two of them um i i would i'm gonna
second what cap said based on what we what we've seen in the in the past when tokens start getting
announced for pre-market trading um especially from when it's
like a decent sized platform i think mexi announced uh yesterday or i think it was yesterday
that like burb is now available for pre-market trading and i feel like when when that happens
um we're pretty close not to mention all of the collections have gotten
a pump. Like I just, I saw like a rare oddity sell for like 1.2 or 1.3 E I think oddities are
up from like 0.24 at the start of the week to 0.29. So someone, somebody knows something
that something's happening unless everybody is literally just
speculating that the same as you that the end of this stream we're going to get you know the token
announcement because all of the collections are moving in the right direction and i can't imagine
it's just because of a 24-hour live stream that these collections are moving up and couple that with the pre-market trading
of the of the token yeah i i agree i i think it probably is a lot of speculation that it's coming
soon um yeah i agree with everything you said does anyone i'm i'm on mech you call it mexi or i i
don't i've never known how to actually pronounce this but i am i can grab you the link hold on
yeah i was looking for i was looking for the
pre-market and i just i'm not able to find it you think they might have it highlighted on there but
i can't uh i'm struggling to track it down i think i saw it was like four and ran up to like 470
million market cap pre-market um but not a lot of volume and would like to see it on like maybe
one of the more um something with a little more found it he put it in the war room for you thank you very much appreciate you Zane
are you in the Burb ecosystem?
why I know the token is launching soon
basically I had a decision to make on this
as like an immediate thing and I was like
oh I've not heard anything about the token
just yet so i'm gonna go for the pudgy because i've just done like a big personal brand change
and that makes more sense for me so it's indefinite it's gonna come soon and it's gonna melt faces
because i didn't buy one the moment i thought i was gonna buy one i will say i am in love with
the clippers right now for keeping me contextually aware of a 24-hour stream that I wouldn't watch if my life depended on it.
ADHD and 24-hour streams are not made to cohabitate.
And I think there's been some really cool stuff like Gary V talking about, you know, getting a TCG on the line with Moonbeards.
about you know getting a tcg on the line with moonbeards because vibes i think is like by far
the most successful tcg that has come out of this space um with the pudgy vibes collection so that's
a big thing i've seen luca talk about why the 10 top 10 projects and why apes have such a big thing against luca and the pudgy in terms of
competition and actually what should happen is the big collections the og collections should just
swap equity with each other like hey look you can have one percent of mine i can have whatever that
is an equivalent of yours right now and basically just like get along and be like have like a real stake in supporting that project
more i am for both of these things i am for both of these things right now it's just like
look i'm not talking about any project but i am talking about any project that has been here
through the 2021 cycle that still has volume what still has a you know real some version of a product that's going to be
launched however long that might be whether that be another side whether that be what pudgy are
doing whether that even be and this is good people are going to hate me for this but an anime.com
like i would just be like hey look take a very small percentage of equity and just spread that
love around and how about we start supporting each other a little bit
more so that's all I had to say they were the
two clips that caught my attention so
and Gary V for like supporting Moonbirds
and coming on to the show
where's Gaga? Where's Gaga? When
is he hopping on to this 24 hour stream
Didn't they own new beds?
They should buy a bunch of deeds and stuff.
They should buy 1% of the deeds, and then they own 1%.
And then they have an equity stake.
Would not be a Coffee with Captain with Machiavelli on stage
if we didn't get at least a Other Deeds or Other Side mention in here.
Outer, I saw your hand up.
I do have the chart pulled up here,
pre-market chart for Burb.
It looks like it popped up to about,
there's a billion tokens in supply.
So it popped up to about 500 million market cap,
currently trading at about 240 million pre-market.
I'm curious, I think that's, I mean, very little volume.
There's $3,000 total volume here.
So this don't read too much into
this at all however i kind of think that i'm thinking like a quarter 250 million is probably
a good open i'll need to go and pull up some of the other now unless they have something at launch
i expect to follow the trend of azuki anime or doodles dude i don't think spencer would launch
it without any any sort of utility or use case for the token any sort of sinks but if not i you
know i'm anticipating you know somewhat of a sell-off i do hold a mythic uh and i've been
collecting some of the soulbound tokens may list my mythic today i i don't i don't i'm not sure how
i'm going to play this i don't i'm it's not a huge play for me. Like I said, it's just the single Mythic.
But it is a Grail, so I'll list it way above floor.
And if it sells, it sells.
Otherwise, I'll take my token claim and move on.
But in my head, I think $240 million, $250 million is probably about right in the current market.
But, Alder, go ahead if you want to get back in here,
But Outer, go ahead if you want to get back in here.
and then we'll get Druid and then back to Jack.
And then we'll get Druid and then back to Jack.
So, I'm probably the only person left with this problem, but maybe not.
I am not marked safe from nesting my Moonbird on day one
and still having it nested today.
I have the matching oddity to it.
And, like, my Moonbird is, like, top 1500, I think, rarity, and then the oddity is top 500. And then I have a Myth oddity to it. And like my Moonbird is like top 1500, I think, rarity.
And then the oddity is top 500.
And then I have a Mythic as well.
And like, I don't know, I have two bins.
I have like whatever, whatever I have,
like whatever was offered that I could get,
I had just because it was like easy to do that.
But then Spencer took over
and they had that like one run up to four something ETH.
I do regret not unnesting it and just getting rid of it.
Cause I think that that would have been an okay place simply because I just
don't follow the ecosystem anymore.
And I kind of tried to bug him because I wanted a diamond nest pin,
And if he like literally sent one or like announced that they would do that
just for like no other reason other than to appease me and the few people I think that are still nested um maybe I would have cared
but I'm just kind of like I really just can't keep up with it I there's probably some art stuff I'm
interested in buying more and so the problem though is I asked them in discord because the
front end UI is no longer available to unnest oh wow like yeah yeah so that's gone so i can do it off contract
but like i would want to screen record me unnesting in moonbird like do you know how long
it's been since it's been nested like like years right so i feel like it's like a special ritual
thing for me to like actually do the thing i can't just like do it and list him i'd be kind of weird
so i don't know i'm feeling
some sort of way about it where like they're like oh well just tell us what it is and we'll
unnest it for you and i literally was like that is the that was the thing that made me realize
these guys are not like art collector nostalgic type people it's literally just like yeah you know
no worries we'll unnest it for you just let us know what the number is and i'm like you don't
understand you can't just do that after somebody locked that thing in and did not take
profits when this thing was, like, 55E, it's like, I can't just unnest it now, like, it just seems
kind of, yeah, so I'm in this predicament where, like, I actually want to sell all of these things,
and they're all just, like, haha, mint condition, because I haven't touched them but but I don't I don't know like that I
can just off contract unceremoniously like just dump it but but but this is why I like didn't do
it in the beginning when this thing skyrocketed like there's something about the nesting that
totally psychologically got me so maybe my day-to-day cap is going down and finally like
just I'll just document doing it off contract and and do the
thing and and get rid of it especially since it was a it was a joey that mentioned that some of
the rares are going like maybe if i put it in at four because it has like a diamond necklace on it
maybe maybe somebody might want to scoop that or something for like a bit of a of a higher price and
and that i can buy the arty thing that i had my eyes on for a while. A diamond head, not a necklace, but a diamond head.
Now there's others, it looks like some other rare traits.
It's number 356 overall for OpenSeas rarity.
It just sold for 6.6 ETH seven hours ago.
A lot of these are floor sales, but a few rares popping in.
I'm kind of surprised they didn't, i i think of spencer as a collector
um even pre web 3 i mean if you've ever seen like his background he's got he's got like original
sheets uncut sheets from like magic the gathering and a lot of the other tcg games that
um he's collected a lot of stuff physically and digital um i wonder how many people are still
nested to that That's just another
random thought. But Bloomberg's floor is up 8% on the day. The Mythic floor is up 5.7% on the day,
and they're trading at 0.29, same as Oddities. Oddities up 9% on the day now trading at 0.29.
So Oddities and Mythics trading at the same price point. Let's go. I think we had Drew next,
and then we'll go back to Jack and then back to Joey. Drew, GM, thanks for jumping up.
Yeah, GM, GM. I think, Jerry, what you were saying before about, I think it's pure speculation. I
don't know if you all saw the clip when Luca was on there, how pretty much they confirmed it was
before February 16th. Oh, really? Okay. I did not. I missed that. So he said it would be early Q1.
Early Q1 technically is February 16th.
That would be past the date, and Lucas said that,
and then Spencer kind of confirmed that.
Very interesting. I see a post now.
I'm not sure if it's the one you're referencing,
but Boss Lee going on chain.
Good breakdown. It's not just a clip.
He's got a lot of it's a looks
like about a 45 minute clip and he's got 20 some bullet points under everything they're talking
about so a good good overview here let me actually just share this you can see this is um you know
Spencer shares his journey from holder to owner um how becoming an owner changers changed Spencer's
investment thesis why investing in founder and team? Why BIRB token?
Pingu token in the Pudgy NFT.
Luca, what is bringing a crypto holder really mean?
Apecoin and other side meta.
There you go, Machiavelli.
IPO buyers are not the same as crypto buyers.
Crypto needs distribution.
Oh, Moonbirds community, product roadmap,
Vibes TCG to be in major big box retailers.
Luca's thoughts on Vibes, Luca buying moonbirds vibes tcg edition first edition are undervalued keeping vibes tcg unboxed
is about on spitzer i also need to do i do i keep my burb 12 pack unboxed right now it's still got
the vinyl it's still wrapped i would i would open it to scan the qr code to get the uh sbt's that's
what i'm thinking and and you could reveal a numbered if you reveal a numbered card uh so
each one comes with a trading card and some of the trading i i revealed one that was like numbered
to 99 there are some that are some of the trading cards are numbered so not only do you need to scan
the qr code for the s do you need to scan the qr
code for the sbt you need to look at the cards to see if you get a numbered card because those
numbered cards might be worth grading with psa because there's probably going to be value in
those i don't know if they'll ever be value in vinyl in the vinyls but numbered cards for any
for any tcg or any collectible typically has value. Yeah, I am. You're right. I'll open it up versus
trying to keep it fresh in box and then sell this thing later if it's a hit. If the token ends up
cooking, I'm going to be kicking myself if I miss out on some sort of big allocation there.
I didn't realize, is Luca going bald? It says Luca going for hair transplant or should he go bald
mode? I thought he had a big head of hair. Is
this a new development? I know this is really important. When you're a founder, man, that hair
goes quick. I mean, I'm a sports guy. So there's this big Kyle Shanahan clip going around from
like nine years ago and he's aged like 25 years. I'm like, yeah, this is basically they just
described me in my last five years in crypto.
Not that my hair has stayed, but my facial hair has went from a little bit of salt and pepper here to like it's basically white minus my mustache.
Joey, go ahead and get back in here.
And then I don't see any other hands.
Actually, Drew, go back to Drew and then we'll go Joey.
Yeah, I was just going to say one more thing.
So if everyone hasn't turned into the Burb stream, Gary V hopped on there last night and he was on there for probably 30 minutes.
I think that's worth a watch. Uh, they were, they were talking about some actual pretty,
pretty interesting perspectives from like, you know, being a founder or behind the,
behind the scenes of, you know, how do you actually create something in the space that,
you know, that's going to be copied that provides value and doesn't just extract from your holders?
And then I also have my eye on the Moonbird strategy token, you know, DYOR, DD there.
But, you know, with everything moving, I'm definitely watching that pretty closely.
That's actually a good call out.
It's actually a good call out.
You know, if you typically, not always, but typically when something really runs, there's, you see speculation, people buy assets.
And in ecosystems where there's multiple collections or multiple tokens, like sometimes one, some lag.
And yeah, I hadn't even thought about the BIRB strategy token because they're launching their own token.
But I don't know, maybe they pull a move.
I mean, just imagine, hypothetically,
This is pure speculation.
Please don't trade on this.
As Drew said, do your own research.
The market cap right now is at 1.26 million.
They could, I'm not saying they will,
they could offer some sort of BIRB allocation for anyone holding
X amount of BIRB strategy token. Maybe not, probably not, but it is a good call out for
something with a lower market cap that wouldn't take much to move it. It's up 1.67% on the 24-hour
clock compared to the NFTs pushing 5% to 10%. And yeah, interesting thought
there on the Burb strategy token as another potential way. There's still bound tokens as
well. If there's any of those, you could go claim. I'm pretty sure those will lead to some sort of
allocation with Burb tokens. So if you can go claim any of those still, I don't know if there's
any free ones that are free for all anyone can claim but that's what i was gonna bring we brought that up in my
space yesterday and um i think i had like three or four people dm me that and say hey i didn't even
know i was eligible for this uh a lot of them you had to do certain things so like if you participated
on um aster i think it was like aster rocket or something like that you had to participate
then you could you know then you could get that badge and a lot of different things.
Even though Kaido's down, there was a, there was a claim for a badge through Kaido.
And so there's a lot of badges, but I think the last one they did has like four days left on it.
So I would think the claims are going to shut down pretty soon on that.
And I think it's like minting. You can go to the Moonbird site. All the claims are going to shut down pretty soon on that,
and I think it's like minting.
You can go to the Moonbird site.
All the badges are there.
Yeah, if you go to the Moonbird site, there's actually a tab for SBT,
and you can see there's a bi-real.
I don't know what this is.
Bi-real, the real yield layer for sustainable DeFi.
This is literally the first I've ever heard of Byreel.
The Astro one, as you mentioned, the Telegram stickers, Meteora, Kaido, Jupiter.
And there's been a few others that aren't listed.
Maybe those are the ones that are still live.
So probably worth going and claiming those if you can.
I'm going to just keep it real.
They kind of lost me. I get where and I understand this is probably going to be like,
you might get like $2 per soulbound token,
you know how when Pingu launched,
they went very, very wide.
And basically anyone who ever did
you had a minimal amount of Pingu
And so when Pingu went live, they had hundreds of thousands of holders.
I think that's the thesis here, if I were to guess, is by giving away these free soulbound tokens and you just had to take action.
Instead of just giving token claims to everyone who has a Solana wallet, they're giving them to everyone who does a little bit of activity and at least has some Moonbird asset in their wallets.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's nothing but art, but can't hurt.
It's a free claim. There's several of them.
I'll pin the moon. It's just moonbirds.com, but I'll pin it up top in case just to be safe.
Joey, go ahead and get back in here and then we will keep moving.
Jack did have his hand up, but then it went down.
So I'm not sure if Jack wanted to jump in first.
Okay, maybe because he stepped away.
Back to the vibes TCG thing.
So I actually, interestingly enough, was going into some card shops around my neighborhood looking for some stuff.
And went into this one, like, small, kind of like, you you know guys not very organized shits everywhere
and what do i see sitting on the counter but a whole stack of like six box not it's not a lot
in the grand scheme of things but six boxes of the new vibes low pudgies collection um that he's
that he's getting ready to like put a price tag on and put out for sale and i
immediately thought like man you know the fact that this little card shop you know in davie
florida is carrying these talk about great distribution um but then for those that don't
know the vibes we saw on bz we did do a launch with vibes the original one and there are still some boxes
Sitting in our vault that some people have listed for sale
They're well above if I remember correctly last time I checked they are above the original sale price because you really can't find
first edition vibes boxes
um, because most people have
Either ripped them chasing all those,
you know, rare cards. Um, but if you, I would, I would say if you're looking for,
if you're not sure if you want to spend 0.3 and this is not financial advice, right. Um,
but if you're not willing to spend, you know, 0.3 ETH on a, on an oddity or mystic and, but you,
willing to spend, you know, 0.3 ETH on a, on an oddity or mystic. And, but you, you do feel
like you want to bet on Spencer and like what they're building with vibes, trying to find a
first edition vibes box and just sitting on that for a couple hundred bucks, you know, two, three,
400, whatever it is might not be a, uh, another bad investment. Uh, if you believe their tcg division orange cap games is is going to
continue to excel i mean i think i shared a post in the war room they're at i think a bunch of the
team he said is that like uh in switzerland or i don't know somewhere in europe doing like a world
championships like a vibes tcg world championships at some convention so clearly the game is catching
on um if you go to if you go to spencer's page cap and i think it's like the last tweet he
literally posted um about like some of the team uh at some convention doing like a world championships
interesting um it is pretty impressive and it's one of those things that outside of the TCG space, I don't see it talk about too much in crypto and Web3.
And it's probably like, this isn't like a, I'm sure this isn't the first speculation or person saying this, but I wonder, like, so I've not, I don't own any of the vibes TCGs.
Did they have a digital component?
Like, I know they have the game.
So like, does every card have a digital component?
So they're a lot like, no, sort of.
So they're a lot like Pokemon and stuff now where like when you open a pack, there's a redemption card inside of each pack that you scan, um, which then gives you,
um, like when you scan that one card, it allows you to start building your digital collection
of the vibes TCG, but it's not a one-to-one. So like when you open up your, I think there was 12
cards in a pack, maybe. I can't remember exactly.
So you don't scan all 12 of the cards you rip open in the pack
and those are the 12 cards you get.
You just scan the one card in the pack
and then that helps you build your digital collection.
But the world's, but the world,
I've seen videos of the Vibes competitions
and it's like physical, it's like physical it's not digital
it's people sitting across each other at a table battling each other like like pokemon like magic
like that but there is a digital component so then with that digital component maybe it's not
one-to-one but it would be one per pack you there's a way for token allocation to go to those vibes
tcg orders is what i'm attempting to connect i mean if you yeah i mean i guess technically if
i don't know i honestly didn't scan the cards i just saw other people talk about it. I don't know if you, if a wallet was created for you with vibes TCG, because that was a
Like they launched with web to retailers, like all those boxes were, you know, um, were
sent to web to retailers, both online and physical.
So I don't know if they did anything with those with the card creating like a privy wallet
for people because at the time when he launched vibes tcg moonbirds wasn't a thing right like he
didn't buy moonbirds till a year plus later so i don't know if he would i feel like that would be
kind of a little unfair if you're like oh by the way if you bought vibes tcg which is a pudgy penguins licensed game we're going to give you burb even though we didn't even own moonbirds
i mean a year later i don't know but it's it's someone who supported the company i mean the
orange cap games is the owner of moonbirds now so i could i could see them making the connection
maybe not i mean what do we do we know what the first edition the vibes tcg entered the huddle
first edition those booster boxes sold for at retail when they first?
Depending on the retailer, I would say anywhere from like $125 to $150.
So Phonics just dropped in the war room.
The last one sold about a week ago or so on eBay for $250.
So they're up from $150 to $250 on secondary, which is a good sign.
Big Whoop, you made $100 on a $150 purchase.
like for a new IP, for a new TCG game,
the fact that they're still selling at a premium,
there is a real community building around it.
And a couple of people commenting too
on what Gary said and what Jack said earlier
would like to see those sort of collaborations and stuff
more partnership, more working together. I was looking for
I couldn't find a good clip of Gary. There was a couple I found on X that were just like short ones
like 15 seconds. If anyone else has a really good
similar to the one I posted with um up above with luca if anyone can find like that with gary so i don't know
i don't know if the if the recording will be made available i'm not going to go listen to 24 hours
anyway so i would need some sort of clip but go ahead joy yeah the thing with the with the vibe
the vibes boxes that like we in this space it's kind of like you have to think
about like the vibes booster boxes you have to think of them as like unrevealed nfts right so
like if if you were hunting for like a one of one or you know some a hoodie, you would go and you would, and the more, the less on the, the,
the less options for that unrevealed NFT, the higher the price goes, right?
Cause then you have a better chance.
The vibes TCG boxes are very same.
There's a lot of very rare cards and sketch cards and things in that collection that have
So you have to look at it from the perspective of
like if this if this continues to grow as a tcg those boxes become increasingly more expensive
because people have not revealed the sketch cards the ultra rares the grails etc and with their
connection they you know for those people who don't know they they got their start
in magic the gathering they were huge like world champion magic the gathering players
at orange cap games so they're very ingrained in the tcg community so their connections in
that community is what has helped grow vibes tcg and you can go look up what some of the rarest
magic the gathering cards have sold for over the years.
So if you believe that, forget Burb and Moonbirds and whatever,
but if you believe in their ability to grow a TCG and branding,
these boxes are, $250 is going to look like peanuts one day
if that's what you believe they can build.
All I know is Vibe Set 3 is going to be the best yet.
Diego adds in the abstract chat,
on the Digital Vibes TCG, you create your account
when you claim the codes and add an abstract global wallet.
That's even more of a tie in there.
There was also in past or Flyover,
we mentioned ApeChain and OtherSide.
I saw another take, there was some speculation
that Pudgies might be coming sooner than later to other side due to some comments made on that stream.
And, you know, I thought we'd see a lot of consolidation, I think, versus more acquisitions of the NFT native brands.
I do think the collaborations working together and some partnerships, whether there's equity swaps or not, probably makes a lot more sense at this point versus M&A activity. But yeah, I'm not like, again, I don't stand to make or lose a material
amount of money. I'm curious to see the go to market with the Burbs TGE. They've kind of lost
me with just due to time i i i'm guessing they
probably made the right move i'm guessing they were planning to drop in q4 the market we had
october 10th and it caused a lot of people to change plans from not just birds but i have a
feeling myriad market delayed there same thing and people were just waiting for the market to
come back as opposed to dropping into the aftermath of 10 10 and it's still not
i mean fear and grade is like 32 or 34 something it's in the low 30s this morning it's not great
um so i don't blame anyone for delaying but it's just been you know like i'm sure about the only
one who just there's always something new happening and i lose interest on stuff that gets drawn out
for many months when not much when it's just replaying the same thing over and over again.
It's just I'm just being candid.
I'm going to go claim the Soulbound tokens
and I'm rooting for them.
But I hope there's something more than just,
and they just try to meme it.
I hope there is some other things.
I don't even know what it would be.
I don't even know if I was dropping a I don't even know, like if I was dropping
a fungible token tied to an NFT collection day,
I have no idea what I would do
to attempt to drive any sort of value accrual
back to the token or utility.
I know it's not governance is not the answer,
but I'm hoping we see some new,
potentially innovative stuff.
Any other comments on Burbs or the ecosystem?
There's a few other NFT collections I want to hit on,
and then I do want to jump into Mega ETH
before we let y'all get out of here
and enjoy the rest of your Friday.
Any other comments on Burbs, though?
Jack or Proof Alpha Degen?
The rest of the NFT market,
as I kind of alluded to earlier,
Del Mundo, I'll pull that up here in a second after we talk about
leaders on the day i mentioned mentioned you know moonbirds oddities mythics all up on the day
uh little pudgies flat milady's down a few percent mfers up 14 curious what's driving that
that's a pretty big lift on the 24 hour azuki up a couple a couple points uh apes down slightly
Phonak's down 8%, but still holding that 0.32 mark.
Must have been a couple big Fidenza sales or two.
They're up 42%, 27 ETH on those Densas.
And the big one I alluded to earlier, Quirkies, up 14% on the day, up to 0.67 floor.
of the day up to 0.67 floor and there was a uh their um their one of one batman-esque quirky
sold for about 10 eath i believe poppy held that one and sold it to a uh a high net worth in the
yeah this one here sold for uh sold for 10 eath to a high net worth collector yesterday led to some other some other activity and sweeps and
or up to 0.67 on that and um another brand and team acquisition that is um getting some attention
but not not quite on the level of of you know burbs for instance but rooting rooting for all of them and hope
we continue to see you know I hope they can do well I hope we see some big
things clay knows I'll go grab the clay knows link they it's a small
collaboration like a collection like I say 500 that was a point it's a point
old mint you get a chance for maybe a rare Popkins.
I think I saw, I'm not expecting a ton out of it,
but another team that probably doesn't get as much credit as they deserve.
I'm looking for this Del Mundo's collection that shout out to
Dunk cookie who dropped it in the chat.
Even the night I followed it up with said, I saw TMA bought 200 of them.
I was like, well, it's probably a buy here.
And congratulations there.
It's up another 583% on the day.
I'm not like I've seen a few other people give the art some love.
I'm not I'm going to it's fine.
All art is subjective and
collect things you want to collect what what stood out to me is not the art it was a free mint
and i i do think in 2026 if you're going to drop an nft collection you need to think about small
lower supply or if you're going to drop a 10 000 collection it probably should be free or pretty darn close to free so dropped it for free you know
0.18 eat does not sound like a doesn't sound like a huge uh a huge floor price but when it was
when it was free to mint uh and it didn't like run instantly uh from free to 50 dollars
Didn't like run instantly from free to $50.
Man, you admitted 10 of those.
You just you're sitting on 500 bucks.
Joey, I think you said you picked up five.
Any, are you holding out?
Are you, have you dove into the community?
Is there anything that we should know
other than just the art of these DelMundos?
Might have to change a diaper or something.
But they've gotten, like I saw,
I saw ODG Farmer had one of these
pink furry jackets that he likes to collect
that matches his pimp coat for his ape.
And, you know, you're even seeing
It's good to see momentum's it's good to see
momentum it's good to see i mean there's been 34 eth of volume which is not nothing for a free
collection uh and um you see some people doing pretty well don't never even though it's only 50
bucks don't don't put any money in you can't afford to lose very well could be down 100 tomorrow i
don't know i'm not i'm not wishing that on them.
I think it's good to see some excitement, some momentum.
And I will come back to Klaino's, but I'm excited for MegaEth launch.
And I think we could see some a little, not saying they're a chain for NFTs, but I think
we could see some NFT nft mania on
mega eth when it does launch obviously the um they have their their fluffles which was the
the official nft collection which were soulbound tokens it has allocation for the the mega eth token
and there's the um you know bad buns and a few other collections that have launched pre-mainnet going live.
So I'll share some of the stats and highlights here in a second.
But the other, I just wanted to pull up this.
Actually, perfect, perfect, perfect timing.
Back where I was going next, Swift can help me out, fill in the details.
I wanted to pull up this thing
i saw on yeah diablita says what stood out to me was how hard tma was pumping those clay lemons
yeah and that's and you you see someone that is um you know a whale has done well in other
collections it's it's a signal right like i think there's a real signal there. Sometimes it's noise, but that was my indicator as well.
I just didn't take any action.
But Swim, welcome to the stage.
Thank you so much for joining us.
I'm going to pull up the pin.
I'll pin a post up top here in a second
because when I first saw it, my initial thought was like,
Because I wasn't familiar with Samos.
I wasn't familiar with Samos. I wasn't familiar with
Malachar. I wasn't familiar with Somos. And, but then I went and I did see that this was reposted
by the official account. So it is a legit collection. I'll share the, I'll share the
post and I'll put it up top here in a second, but Swift, tell us more about it. What do we need to
know? And I'm assuming that's what you came up. If not, feel free to take it, whichever job.
Yeah. Good morning. Yeah. Just wanted to give some clarity on what that is.
It is a collaboration with an artist named Scum Soul.
So some people who are probably Solana native will know Scum.
He's a super OG, one of one artists who did really, really well on Solana back in like 22, 23.
And, you know, the crazy thing, thing like in this space a lot of artists
who made a big bag just kind of disappeared into the sunset this dude made it made a big bag and
then basically moved to mexico to save these little axolotls i think is how you pronounce
them they're basically like these little prehistoric salamanders um in mexico that
were going extinct and um so this is a, so just to be totally clear,
This is officially collaboration with Clannosaurs.
And it is basically the way I see it.
You're basically minting this edition.
You just get the little axolotl that you see in the,
And then you do have a chance of winning a one of one Popkin like rendition.
It's not going to be like in the Popkins collection,
but it's a mint that's done by Scum Soul. He's like I said,
he's a super, super goaded artist. And I'll try to pin a,
there was a screenshot that he did in the stream they did yesterday
of like so far the sketch he's done of like the little it's like a mech uh popkin it's pretty
dope but yeah just to be clear it's like basically it's like 25 bucks it's a 0.2 sold you know i see
it as a donation um they're also cool little nfts you can give as gifts too uh but yeah just to be
clear it's not like a new mint new collection
anything like that it's really all proceeds go to uh to scum's um like little foundation that
he started to save these little salamanders so dope cause yeah i love it appreciate you sharing
diego ads in the abstract chat scum is great artists that axodottle is a nice collectible
i'm sure i'm pronouncing it wrong a guy on pud Pudgy's, minted 30 Del Mondo's.
I do have showed up here on screen and it is a pinned up top there.
Follow the official link for the mint and yeah,
And it's a collection of 500.
There's 200 and I'm sorry,
And there'll be a, there's six days to go if it doesn't min out
and a one-on-one popkin will go uh to one of those one of those mentors um is it do you know
like the entry for the one-on-one popkin is it one entry per mint if you meant multiple do you
have multiple entries or is it one entry it'll be it'll be random just they'll they'll pick out
of the 500 who meant um but i i saw somebody yesterday who was saying like, oh, there's no rarity.
Or they were saying if there was that they don't think it's going to mint out.
It's really the wrong way to look at this.
It's not about like these aren't things you're going to be able to flip down the road.
Like I said, I bought five of them.
And it's like in my mind, they're just written off. I did it just to support the cause because, like I said, Scum, the fact that he is doing what he's doing is just really, really cool. I think there's not enough people that make a bag in Web3 and then turn around and figure out a way how to like, you know, give back or do something that's positive for the world. So yeah, thanks for letting me out.
No, thanks for joining us.
Really appreciate the extra insight and clarification.
And yeah, I wholeheartedly agree.
especially those that came in during the May of 21, 22,
I think looked at NFTs for all.
Like can some become very valuable collectibles?
But I don't think that's the majority of NFTs.
A majority of NFTs are going to be a ticket, a receipt, a, you know, you make a donation and it's cool to get a piece of art with it.
But don't go mint this to flip it.
Like no one's going to be buying this on secondary.
You're contributing to a good cause.
You're supporting an artist.
And maybe you win a Popkin. But it's you're you're contributing to a good cause you're supporting an artist and maybe you win a popkin but it's a 25 donation essentially you get some art to uh commemorate your donation um you know i think that sort of stuff i think you know freemans have some
fun with the art collect what you want to collect and there are remember because of the it's tech
can always be programmed against right you can You can always... I do think someday, maybe,
you know, like there was just this
gas foundation, this GWE token that launched, and
while I think the execution
The concept, I was, was neat.
It was going to get had some fun with it.
I think at some point someone might do an NFT that's, or a token drop,
those that are eligible to participate are ones that contributed to causes
like this, you know, someone scrubs, you know, multiple chains and anyone who
bought, I try to think of some other ones. There was a, um,
and there was a donation.
I think it might have been during the merge.
There's been a few others that have come that were really for charitable causes.
And I could see someone saying, okay, anyone who supported this, you're on our allow list because we're building a project.
I think of Jimmy who's planting the trees.
And there is a lot of people
that have done a lot of good in crypto.
And for the poor reputation and PR challenge
there are a lot of people that do a lot of good here.
And unfortunately, they don't get as much credit as they should.
And I do think, you know, not even,
I was going to say block, giving block. Is that the,
is that one of the, uh, my thinking right there there, there there's long story short, I think
there is blockchain does enable a new way to give back new way to be, you know, to drive philanthropic
causes. And, uh, would, you know, I appreciate this sort of stuff. I would like to see more of
it and yeah, shout out to Klainos for partnering
and supporting an artist and a good cause.
see if there's any other NFT stuff we haven't hit on yet.
Oh, the Chimpers migration is the last one.
I've been beating this drum for a while.
I've also foreshadowed that one of the upcoming partners here on Coffee with Captain is someone
that's going to be helping other collections do something in this arena as well.
But we have Chimpers announced yesterday.
I'll pin this up top here in a second.
I'm going to share the screen.
They're going to be moving to a new contract that will be royalty protected.
This, for some reason, was controversial.
Some are against this in the space.
I am not only a big fan and proponent, I think more of the legacy collection should do similar things.
Hence why we're going to be working with a partner here soon that is going to help collections do this very thing.
But they say, Chimper's originally launched in May of 2022.
From the beginning, the project has taken a community-centric, non-extractive approach focused on building, patiently giving back and investing in the long term. They also have not raised any VC funds or maybe not raised any funds other than their mints in selling vinyls and stuff.
migrating the original 5,555 collection to a new contract that enforces a 5% royalty.
This article explains what's happening, why it's happening, and what it means going forward.
Your Chimper's ID will not change.
Artwork, traits, metadata all remain the same.
During migration, your legacy NFT will be locked into the migration smart contract,
and a new NFT will be minted.
Migration claim will remain open for one full year ensuring everyone has
ample time to participate after one year the remaining unclaimed nfts will be minted by the
team and retained into a segregated wallet holders who relate to claim will still be to come and take
ownership of their new nft uh by providing proof of holding this process is needed to ensure the
collection is fully restored to its original 5555555 size after reasonable time given to the
holders to migrate. Why they're making the move, rather than extracting value through constant
drops or short-term mechanics, folks always been on community first, always reinvesting
in the ecosystem, building long-term brand value, and growing real-world revenues alongside Web3
infrastructure. Again, fully support it. You can see royalties generated through new contract will
be used to fund continuing investment into the Chimpers NFTs and the Chimster via the Dojo Reserve, fuel the development of the Chimper's IP and strengthen our ecosystem, and support the Collector Hub's rewards program.
I'm not going to read the whole thing. It does go on. There's a lot of details here. I'll pin it up top for anyone who wants to go do the deeper dive.
My case study here, I don't think you have to go further than to point to Good Vibes Club and the success they have had in 2025, 2026 by really leveraging creator royalties to reinvest in the ecosystem.
system that's, you know, they've really leaned into the flywheel.
They've really leaned into the flywheel.
Their Vibester is one of the best performing, if not the best performing, other than, you
know, the Punkster token and the NFT success speaks for itself.
Not that this is not, not that protecting royalties is a guarantee for that.
But, you know, the other one we mentioned today that's up big today is Quirkies.
The other one we mentioned today that's up big today is Quirkies.
And I do not think teams should solely rely on royalty.
They should drive other streams of revenue.
But what created a lot of excitement and momentum in collectible NFTs, digital assets, was created royalties.
collectible NFTs, digital assets, was created royalties. And good teams can do a lot of good
with those royalties, especially if they are reinvesting in the ecosystem.
It's more than just floor price. It's more than just... And I can appreciate those like,
oh, I bought this thing. Now I've got to sell it for a huge loss and I'm still going to pay the
founders. I'm still going to pay the team a royalty.
I'm not saying it's perfect, but for these teams that have been around for years and at this point, I've earned that trust and respect.
There's a lot of things that if they were going to extract, if they were going to rug,
they would have done that already.
I guess it's still in the range of outcomes.
I would be shocked if Timper's or Good Vibes Club or Corky's rubbed at this point.
I'd be genuinely shocked.
Anything's possible, but I just don't see that being the case.
And I take them at face value.
What they said they're going to do, I think, is probably likely.
Again, that whole article is pinned up top if you want to research further, but I am all for the bringing back creator royalties as it
relates to NFT PFP collections. And I think it can do, I think it can do a lot of good.
Funk, Funkari group sharing this narrative about Del Mundo is not sure what values their novel
hand, handmade art. So it was handmade art on those Del M del mundos i again no idea if there's anything
beyond the art but um sometimes art's enough here is so trying to think of a way to segue from nft
this nft conversation into some um kind of kind of mind-blowing stats uh i did pin up top the one
chart there's probably more out here,
but actually, let me just, I'll see if we see anything in the timeline. I'm just going to
do a quick X search and see. This one came out a couple hours ago. You know, I may just share
my search feed so I can talk through this in real time. The pin post up top shows TPS, Mega ETH, compared to Solana, compared to Monag, compared to Bates.
And it really is not a comparison.
Similar to here, cool to see Mega ETH start testing TPS and gas per second.
But it does say TPS is a poor metric for compared throughput.
Some need block space, some need little. Spamming gas transactions make TPS good, but metric for compared throughput. Some need block space, some need little.
Spam and gas transactions make TPS good, but doesn't tell you.
So that's the other side of this story.
I think transactions per second, I think real-time blockchain does matter.
But to give you both sides of it, it's not the complete story,
but I do think they're onto something here with what they're building.
You can go play the Fluffle game. I
can't remember the name of it. Like Frogger, Fluffle that is on chain and it moves like a
Web 2 game. There's no lag. You can't do this sort of stuff on other games. So I am optimistic.
Part of my bull thesis for MegaEath is I think it can unlock some new experiments.
I think it can unlock some new games.
Not that every game needs to go on chain, but now some things that simply weren't possible before now are.
That's how long it took MegaEth to flip Hyperliquid and Polkadot's all-time transaction.
Is it low transactions? Is this sort of volume going to continue? No, but it's possible.
In a lot of chains out there, it's simply not possible. Here is the initial post.
Experience real-time apps with ultra low fees while we blast the chain with 18,000 to 35,000
real transactions per second. For community investors, we blast the chain with 18 to 35,000 real transactions per
seconds. For community investors, we send some ETH to get you started. Others use our uncapped
native bridge live now. It's linked below. I'll pin this up top as well for anyone that wants to
go check it out. But pretty cool stuff. The site has, I'll pull up the site here in a second.
It's got real-time stats.
They also, I want to give them credit, not just because Red's in the room, but they have
done a really good job with marketing and not saying this is just a narrative, not saying
this is just a meme, but they are, like narratives matter.
Like there's some things go to billions of dollars
of valuations purely on narratives and memes alone.
This is they're leaning into the speed narrative,
leaning into the real-time blockchain narrative.
And oh, by the way, there's some real test here.
There's some real tech here, excuse me.
Here's the stats already, 1.7 billion transactions.
That's 16,000 a second. If you
talk about marketing, like this, it's just a good chart. Like you can see Polkadot, Hyper EVM,
Optimism, they've already surpassed the transactions on those chains in their entirety
since launch. So Optimism is no small chain and they've already done more transactions than
Optimism has done in their entirety, the time they've been live.
They'll probably pass Arbitrum today, and you can see some of the others here as you
This is the chart I was alluding to earlier, MegaEth, 16,000 TPS per second, Solana 3,500,
Monad 35, base 128, token transfer cost, mega ETH is 0.0002 cents.
That is about a third of Solana's transaction cost, which is 0.006,
which is significantly less than, over a tenth less than,
or it's one tenth of base's transaction cost.
One thing that I think you're going to start seeing as a result of this
is it's going to force Solana in particular to change some of their narrative. They've been,
for the longest time, touting speed, and it's just so much faster than ETH, for instance.
Like, they just, this one-shots that. Like, it just, this kills the whole Solana speed narrative.
This kills the whole Solana speed narrative.
But as you think about how things scale,
they can't use that in their marketing anymore
when MegaEath is going to not only move a lot faster,
also at a third of the cost.
It is really taking a shot at
crossy fluffle that's what i was getting the name of so this this site stress.megaeat.com
it is uh pinned in the in the comments of the post pinned up top uh you can go see those stats
you can play crossy fluffle you can play stomp uh which is a fully on-chain super techie monster
pvp and you can also play smasher which is a fully on-chain super techie monster pvp
and you can also play smasher which is a whack-a-mole with your favorite ct personalities
and earn payouts on chain there's also the bridge and there's a gas faucet there as well so
go have some fun with it play around experience it in real time more coming soon i don't know
if we have any other like firm timelines or dates coming up other than
what's live right now, but I suspect they will. I think this transaction stress test runs a week,
if I'm not mistaken. And then I think they'll probably continue to move pretty quickly here.
But again, the one thing,
let me share this again too,
because they alluded to some surprises.
And here's what I will say.
I don't have any insight.
I don't have any inside knowledge.
is one of the buttons here.
phase one of Mega ETH rewards
my understanding is it's going to be limited.
It's not going to be like,
I think everyone will be able to access the chain,
but my understanding is the rewards
will go to a limited group,
meaning their ICO participants,
potentially they incorporate people
who have played around during this stress test.
Maybe not, that's just me speculating,
but when you can go play a free game and experiment,
if you've got a few minutes a day, I encourage you to do so. Other than investing a few minutes of your time and experiencing some cool new tech, you've got nothing to lose. And maybe there's something that comes out of it. Maybe not. Maybe you get mad at me because you wasted 30 seconds playing a Fluffle Crossing game that didn't yield any sort of returns. But I don't know, maybe there's future opportunities for
those that go help them participate in the stress test. And I do, as I mentioned, I do hold a fluff
hole. I've been in the ICO round, so there is a bias here. But the reason I hold a fluff hole and
invest in the ICO round is I'm bullish, not on the tech, but also the team and how they're building,
not just what they're building with a very performative blockchain,
but they've got a, I believe they'll go live with more dApps
than we've seen in any blockchain, like novel dApps,
not just another DEX, not just another place to swap,
but actual, not just another beer pong game,
but actual novel dApps live at launch that we just haven't seen yet. They've been working
with a lot of really great builders. They've been putting them in hacker houses. These builders have
been working together. There's been collaborations. They've got like a year of building pre-launch.
And I think that matters. I think that can be very impactful. And yeah, I also don't know what other... I'm curious if anyone knows any other anticipated chains launching in 2026, let me know. Because right now, I think it will be very niche, very custom chains,
very specific to use cases. I haven't screened this. I saw there's the first one that popped
up in my search. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink tells WF,
the world must move faster towards digitized currencies
under a single unified blockchain to reduce corruption.
He outlines a vision where every asset is placed on one system,
including stocks, bonds, real estate, money market funds, and cash.
In that system, ownership would be tokenized, fractionized,
programmable, and instantly transferable
on one all-encompassing blockchain ledger.
If I'm betting, if it's a current chain, I would guess it's going to be ETH or an EVM compatible chain.
I know there was talk of a Texas stock exchange on-chain.
That would probably be their own blockchain.
Canton has been making a lot of moves lately and a lot of headlines as far as institutional funds and doing things on chain.
I think this train's left the station.
I think equities are coming on chain.
I think digitized currencies.
who posted, someone talked about just, just, they, they were moving money and their bank.
Ultimately, this was like during, I think like NFT mania, they had a lot of like six figure
transfers, a hundred K here, a hundred K there. Every time they do one, the bank would call them,
what are you doing with your money? And he told them, and then finally got frustrated. He's like,
I don't need to tell you, long story.
And it took months to get his own money back.
And by comparison, he's like, I pay my employees in stables.
Everything he's doing in stables
without a private company
or without a third party as an intermediary,
It's just a much better way to transact.
It's a much better way to do many things.
Like banks are, it's not great.
It's not really your money if you got to call and ask for permission to move money and then
they tell them what you're doing with your funds.
I understand they have to do it for AML, anti-munter laundering laws and regulations.
But it is like they shouldn't, when they close an account, they shouldn't sit on those funds for weeks or months at a time.
That doesn't happen on chain.
And I just, I think this is, this isn't me saying this.
This is Larry Fink, the CEO of one of the largest fund managers and asset managers in the world.
I think it's inevitable at this point.
And tying that back to the mega ETH conversation, for us here, trading on Solana or ETH mainnet is probably perfectly fine.
Especially if you're using a wallet with some sort of MEV protection in there, you're probably fine. You're probably not getting sandwiched and you're perfectly fine. Especially if you're using a wallet with some sort of MEV protection
in there, you're probably fine. You're probably not getting sandwiched and you're probably fine.
But if you're a fund, if you're a Jane Street, if you're a big investor and you're playing with
billions of dollars, those seconds matter. Microseconds matter. Maybe this still happens
know the wall street they were wanting to get their move their offices to be as close to the
server as possible just to get microseconds of an edge on their competitors what my logic i've not
been in that world i'm not going to claim or pretend to be in that world my logic says well
if you're transacting billions of dollars on chain,
microseconds matter. Speed matters.
And I think, again, all this, what led to my bullish sentiment towards Meg ETH.
Jack, go ahead and feel free to comment on this.
And then anything else on your mind today,
we'll let you get final words in here,
and then we'll let everyone enjoy their Friday.
Yeah, no, Cap, I'm just with you 100%
on the fact that this will all come on chain.
I think people are making a lot more money
right now on even the equities
that are already on chain because of speed.
And I think I saw like copper and like some other assets now on chain and people being able to like short and long in a way that isn't, you know, usually accessible for retail and doing very, very well off those trades.
It fundamentally just makes a lot of sense.
I think, you know when when you reference speed
that's always been a factor right like we literally had um i forget what the term was but there was a
michael lewis book on it and it you know basically how closely you could put your trade center next
to the actual exchange and that would you know do you very very well in terms of being able to front
run another investment see that pop up and get the buy-in first and then drop it and make money
from that i think with crypto that gets a lot lot faster but also you know when it has global access
i don't think any of us can really predict what that means when it does all come on chain.
And the market is dictated not by a few, but from a global sense of what the fair value is.
I think we've definitely got a long, long way to go there.
go there for me i've seen this conversation happen even in prediction markets you know
For me, I've seen this conversation happen even in prediction markets.
prediction markets are going to get to a point where the speed is so fast that you can bet in
real time on what's going to happen in a fight and then you're going to have like people who
have got the strongest connection where somebody looks like they're about to get knocked out
just putting the money on the fact that that person's going to get knocked out just putting the money on the fact that that person's gonna get knocked out and then all of a sudden you know it's it's going it's going to get very very different to
what we see today in terms of like how we have traded over the past couple of decades i i think
yeah it's completely the the closest we've seen to it is exactly when trading on the internet happened and you had these people literally building multi-million dollar or tens of millions of dollar infrastructure and buildings just to be a little closer to the trade center.
If anyone knows the term I'm looking for, hit me in the comments as well because it's going to bug me all day.
Great take. I agree. I saw Oxy flip as well. Oxy, thoughts on this?
Yeah, I know you're trying to wrap, but I completely, I mean, having everything on chain,
especially like stocks and commodities and stuff like that is a huge unlock for people,
obviously outside of the US and globally
and getting access to these things.
And I'm really curious to see how DeFi can play
into traditional stocks because they're on chain.
Like it really does unlock a whole new side of finance
as it relates to what you can do traditionally
with your investments or what have you.
I guess one caveat that I just want to remind people is when you're buying things on-chain
or tokenized things, make sure that you're not buying something synthetic if that's something
something synthetic, if that's something you want to hold as a spot position.
you want to hold as a spot position.
Obviously, there's a ton of, like you're out here, you're trading perp dexes,
and you're buying all of these tokenized things.
Make sure that there's proof on the back end that these are actually being held
because that's the last thing.
If you want to open a perp position on gold or copper or what have you, that's great.
Obviously, more than able to do that but if you want to hold something in spot
make sure that you know it's actually held on the back end yep great call out great call out and
i wholeheartedly agree you know the one thing i don't know how exactly translate i don't know how
to even play it other than go invest in things that go buy stocks in equities that you are bullish on. And I think part of what
it, where this is heading is, and I know, I know US equities can be bought internationally today.
It's just not as easy as it's going to be once, you know, it's just not as easy as it's on chain.
as easy as it's going to be once you know it's just not as easy as it's on chain and
i think it opens up a massive market you go from i don't know how many people 350 million people
foreign i have no idea 400 million in the u.s to all sudden a market of six seven eight billion
people although there's a new conspiracy theory out that that's that's a highly inflated number
and there's actually not even close that many people on the planet. That's a whole other digression.
I have no idea, nor do I have a thought on that. But let's just say there's 8 billion people on the planet, and 5 billion of them have access to internet and get on chain.
The market for those that potentially could be in the market to trade equities could go from, you know, 300 million to 3 billion.
Like that's that increased demand could could really drive some could drive the S&P could drive, you know, these markets at large up significantly.
up significantly. It's funny because I had a take on airlines. And at first I thought,
It's funny because I had a take on airlines.
I saw a take, they're very bullish airlines once they saw AI taking off the way it was, because
the only way to really trust a new connection is flying and meeting them in person.
Because you're really not going to know, like anything could be spoofed. You know,
video, AI video is so advanced now,, is so advanced now you can't differentiate.
Is that if that, if you're really talking to that person or it's,
it's someone who's, you know,
some scam artist that looks nothing like,
and it's not the person you think you're talking to. And now flip side,
I'm now bearish airlines because Tesla full self-driving is,
is real and it's very soon going to be unsupervised and people might
drive coast to coast while taking a nap or doing the work. And I can see a lot of travel taking
place on the ground now, as opposed to the air, because you don't have to deal with airports and
be just as productive or more productive than you might be on air travel. Again, another digression,
on air travel. Again, another digression, probably a topic for another day. But point being is
the US equities market, the potential buyers and sellers, but the potential market they could reach
grows significantly as that becomes a not a US centric market that you got to jump through hoops
and you figure things out to invest in the US.S. equities outside the U.S. to where you have access to the Internet.
You're very soon that you're not going to have to be some blockchain guru or understand crypto in great detail.
You're going to be able to go and buy on whatever currency you want.
It's just going to be on chain.
But Oxy brought up a good point.
Make sure if you're holding something spot that it actually is a one to one representation. representation. It's a legitimate company, not, not someone that's, uh, not someone that's scamming you. Jack, go ahead and, um, comment on that. And then any, any closing thoughts for us. They appreciate you sitting in today and helping us power through the, uh, the troubleshooting we dealt with. I'm a part-time co-host on Coffee with Captain to inflate my career moving forward.
Look, I think first off, it was Flash Boys.
That was the book I was referencing.
And it was, I forget the, oh, high frequency trading.
I think it's now like fundamentally illegal.
How you would do that globally when this stuff comes on chain, very different things like imagine a merger that you see happening live on chain where you know it hasn't the transaction hasn't been put through and a competing business can now
high gas it let's say if it's on ethereum um and basically front run that access because that's
basically what they were doing with high frequency trading they would see these big buy orders come in they would buy those same stocks earlier inflate the
price by a dollar 10 cents whatever um and then the other company would have to eat that and
obviously that does that's like anti something you know that's you've got no intention to buy
that business support that business. You're just
literally trading of the necessity and the need for the stock. So I think that's something people
need to think about. Airlines, I've got no stake in any prediction model or any prediction company
at all. I just want to put that out there because I sound so bullish on this, but I heard on
at all. I just want to put that out there because I sound so bullish on this,
but I heard on, um, Somnia, which is a show that I host, um, that they are looking at prediction
markets as insurance companies, which I just thought was a fun thing to end on and maybe
talk about on another day. So say for flights, for example, you would put a prediction that
your flight wouldn't arrive on time. And if it doesn't arrive on time, the flight
owner, like the actual business would have to basically take the other side of that bet.
And it would just, you know, you would very quickly find out what are the airlines that
genuinely, genuinely operate as they should. And what are the airlines that don't? And you could
see that across so many different vectors that provides a whole new level of transparency and putting your money where your
mouth is when you're saying look our service is fantastic okay i bet you 100 bucks you're not
going to turn up on time you taking that bet i am really intrigued by that and i think i agree i
think prediction markets we've owned we're in the top of the first inning is i i was one of the ones who thought oh they're going to fizzle out and they're going to
be you know limited volume post-elections i was wrong uh they've taken off to where
koushi's become one of the leading sports books now so much that they're getting uh
injunctions in certain states because they're claiming they're an unregistered sports book
because so much of their volume is sports betting i think it's going to be far more than just political stuff geopolitical world events
and sports betting which i know there's other things but today it's primarily sports betting
and world news um so okay i i was gonna i was gonna shout out another thing here that phonics dropped in the
chat and i and then he said there's no ref link or points yet the speculating points are hidden
in the back end and then he dropped what looked like a ref link but it's not a ref link uh if
you're looking to trade equities on chain the um uh the recommendation from finding series is big
fan of trade dot xyz recently all the top token equities, commodities, and it's made by the unit protocol team.
Wouldn't be surprised if there's a token airdrop at some point.
They've got the, you might have to take a trip to Bahamas or Germany maybe to access this in the States.
Gold's going to hit 5,000 today, isn't it?
I can't believe my mom is out trading me because she bought silver at like 10 bucks.
A lot of silver coins at $10.
I think gold hits 5k today.
Silver might hit 100 bucks.
And your mom's always right.
I have good exposure there.
I should have been chilling, but I didn't think this was the space for that unbelievable unbelievable uh my stock guy was like yeah jack no no you're gonna have to you're
gonna have to sit pretty on these i was like oh really yeah like i feel like bitcoin's got more
upside thank you financial advisors well this is also the reason to have a diversified
portfolio but uh oxy what's the skill issue no i was just joking about the uh the front the mev
discussion that jack was jack was talking about but to speak on the the um the prediction market
other use cases and sports betting is used as options. And I may have
talked about this on the show previously, but I think it was the head of, I can't remember,
he was at Paradigm, but he was talking about how they've been using these prediction markets as
basically option trading. So if they have a big Bitcoin position,
what they'll do is they'll enter into a prediction market going the opposite direction
from spot, which is essentially a long position. They'd enter a short position on the prediction
market. And because it has a date range for the most part, it's kind of like an option that
expires at a certain point. So let's just say by the end of March, will Bitcoin be at 100K or whatever
dollar amount that you choose and using those as an option to hedge against your spot position or
your position or what have you. So talking about insurance, talking about options, there's a lot
there that um these prediction markets can capture and it's just whether or not they get regulated to
hell or um people can actually use these in a uh in a meaningful way even like talking insurance
like i live here in florida and um not in a flood zone but like some people can't get flood insurance
or like hurricane insurance like like there's like you got a big storm coming, like you can hedge your, your risk by,
or self-insure, do not do this without knowing what you're doing. But like, there's, there's
going to be, I think a lot of things that come out of on-chain prediction markets that we haven't
even, maybe we've thought of, maybe we've talked about in passing yet, but we've really not seen
like go to market or, or done at scale that I think, I mean, I've thought of maybe we've talked about in passing yet but we've really not seen like go to market or or done at scale but i think i mean i've thought for a while the insurance
injury is prime for disruption i think we're already starting to see that with the big lemonade
announcement this week you missed it lemonade is giving 50 discounts to uh tesla full self-driving
customers you get 50 off your insurance rates if you're driving full self-driving because the data is objectively,
it's safer than a human driver. It's got far more eyeballs and it doesn't get distracted.
It's just it's safer than a human. And it's a very real world proof point when insurance companies will offer such a significant discount. I think it's these prediction markets and what
we're now able to do on chain.
I do think it's going to disrupt that from car insurance to home insurance and travel and everything in between.
Jack, go ahead and get back in here.
I saw we had Brad join us.
We'll let Brad have any final closing comments.
And if we missed anything on the mega ETH stress test, he can fill in those details.
Yeah, honestly, it was just to give you a heads up, Cab, because I accepted him.
I didn't know if you were seeing him pop up as speaker.
Brad, I apologize if I missed the request.
We had some issues with Spaces today.
And shout out to all the loyal ones out there
who dealt with the tech issues we were having
with Spaces and Roadcaster and everything.
It's been an interesting Friday.
But Brad, thanks so much for joining us.
Do we miss anything with the MegaE stress test?
Anything else you wanted to share?
whenever time's right for you and the team, we'll do a full proper interview.
But anything in closing as far as mega e-stress test or anything mega e-th in general?
Honestly, I was listening whenever you invited me up, and I wanted to live on.
And I had to go to two calls, and I felt bad.
So I've just been listening or staying in the space to show some support and then wanted to come up.
I didn't know you guys were wrapping up.
So if you guys had any questions, I wanted to make sure I could talk.
But otherwise, I'm sure you guys did a wonderful job. And I was just trying to make myself available
to you. Appreciate you. Jack, go ahead. Question for Brad. Yeah, Brad. I just want to know how
out to lunch I am on my take of this idea of high frequency trading coming back if equities and
especially with mega ETH and, you know,
chains with that, like, speed of transaction.
Because in my head, and I don't know if you heard this,
like, whilst you were hopping in with you,
it being in between meetings,
but this does seem to be a thing that, you know,
if you see a trade go through,
or sorry, not go through, but hit the chain
and you confront on that,
we could have a whole new version of Flash Boys from Michael Lewis come up.
But am I out to lunch on that? Is that impossible?
No. Honestly, I don't know if you guys remember the mega thread,
like where we announced the mega token and what it's going to be used for.
I saw Oxy comment on something I mentioned today,
because some of the Solana people were getting mad that we were doing more
tps than what they were showing like left like 4x 5x right now 6x um but that like they're like oh
you know i want to know like how do i co-locate next to the sequencer because that's always the
big fud vertical and the the thing that we're building for is a co-location service honestly
because that's like that's the next vertical.
Everyone before was competing on TPS.
Solana now, and Solana's not out of capacity now.
Solana can handle more volume than it's doing right now.
But the next vertical is competing on latency,
this high-frequency trading that you're talking about,
people getting the numbers down to basically zero, right?
Because, okay, we can do 100 transactions,
but we're going to do 100 transactions that can land in under 10 milliseconds because we're used to operating in nanoseconds in in uh the traditional
markets right so we actually created like the proximity markets is what we're labeling it
right you'll need the mega token to get your latency latency down to under a millisecond
right to be able to get that transaction inclusion into the actual thing and like
man if you're if you're an l1, if you're a maximum decentralized thing,
if you have multiple validators all across the world,
you're talking hundreds of milliseconds
just because it takes time for your shit to go from A to B.
Like that's just what's gonna happen.
So like that is the vertical
we are very intentionally competing on.
And we have tried to monetize the desire for proximity
by turning it into a bidding system to get close to sequencer to get
your inclusion down to fractions of a millisecond dude that's so cool and i would heavily heavily
recommend for my own viewing pleasure that you do like a little flash boys recap and just explain
to us who maybe have just like a very broad conceptual understanding of this and like how
mega eve could basically be the 2.0 on that.
If you do want to run something like that up,
I'll definitely make myself available to pepper you with questions on that
deployment detected by Prism or for Prism Fi.
Prism is MegaEast DeFi super app, a unified real-time engine for everything on chain.
Your one-stop shop for swaps, perps, and spot trading.
Prediction markets, powered by Polymarket, lending, and megavaults, powered by Avon.
Prism consolidates all the above, making MegaEast the default home for DeFi.
Again, not just glazing your cards on the stage,
but I was comparing to some other chain launches we've seen recently.
It's like they just launched the basic, oh, here's a Uniswap or here's our own native Dex.
Or here's some basic prediction market with like six markets on it.
Or here's a beer pong game.
And I was giving you flowers for not just what you're building from a very impressive performance tech standpoint, but also how you're building and who you're building with and the investment into these builders, not just in terms of capital, but the hacker houses and bringing these builders together and novel stuff.
And now, do these things exist today?
Yeah, half of them are powered by existing protocols.
But am I right in saying, saying like i don't know of
a single dap today on any chain that has all these under one login is that am i accurate saying that or does is this a is prism competing with someone else on another chain or is this going to be the
first of its kind that has swaps perps prediction markets and lending on one yeah so they're actually
this is actually a community project like this wasn't one from our accelerator it's just a
group of people it's the bad buns team actually, that Moxie's rocking right now.
They have been trying to build in space.
They've been around for a long time.
They're big hyper-leaper traders, everything.
But they've been building in our ecosystem for a long time.
And I would approximate them to Project X on Hyper EVM,
whereas they are not the ones building all of the underlying,
but they are putting it under a singular package that makes it all nice and slick
and user-friendly and everything.
So it's a good branding, whatever.
Because the things that you see referenced in that tweet,
so their prisms, they do have an underlying DEX that they do.
But they pull in, so Avon, that is a team from our accelerator.
That is a credit layer that's a lending club, actually,
which is a first of its kind.
They pull in WCN, that's World Markets.
That's a PERP and lending and spot club.
All three of those combined into one thing
to let you do the leverage basis rate, also a first of its kind.
And then Polymarket, which you guys are familiar with.
And then they put Li-Fi over the top.
So they're not building the infrastructure for all that stuff,
but they are packaging it into a singular thing so that you guys have familiar with. And then they put Li-Fi over the top. So they're not building the infrastructure for all that stuff, but they are packaging it into a singular thing
so that you guys have a nice conducive experience
So it's, yeah, I guess it is a testament
to everything else going on in the ecosystem
and the teams working together
and already trying to compose with each other,
which is something I'm pretty excited about.
Again, exactly my point earlier,
it's not just what is building,
the builders are building with.
This sort of collaboration, this is powerful. And not only is it smart, it makes sense to have this sort of stuff under one one, you know, one login, one site, you know, but.
It's it's going to lead to a better user experience, and I think you're going to see like you're going to see a lot of others copy this like it's going to be.
Oh, you're I'm not saying Polymark is going to do all this stuff.
but I think you'll probably see a lot of other chains
attempt to copy and mimic some of this stuff.
it's not going to be as performant.
It's not going to be as fast.
It's probably not going to have as much liquidity.
but it's how you're building
and the collaboration that I've seen amongst the builders
in the MegaEath ecosystem is really impressive.
I'm really excited to see what happens post-launch i can't i'm really
excited to see what happens post-launch wcm is launching on mega eth as well is that accurate
or are they already live on yeah yeah they're already live so like that's going to be that so
we have two major perp dexes there that's the the one that's going to be like mostly crypto assets
but they do the lending like it's the traders that wanted to be able to put on the basis trade so you
can actually they have a risk engine that can say hey if you're actually taking on a a loan for eth and then
putting that in a spot and then running a trade you can run a basis trade and get more leverage
on a singular position because the risk engine understands your like the multitude of your
positions and can say the risk is actually not that high because they're using the same assets
and multiple things and give you more leverage whatever that's building on mega eth yes the other
protocol you probably heard of was Hello Trade.
They're not going to be live at mainnet, but probably Q1.
And that's the ex-BlackRock guys that built IBIT and ETH E for BlackRock.
They're now building an equity perps exchange called Hello Trade on Mega.
Again, appreciate joining us today. I know you're a super busy guy and a very busy week for you all.
Appreciate the time. And again, open invite whenever it makes sense for you and the
rest team to come join us happy to do a full uh full full sit down interview and give you the uh
give you the uh you know the proper amplification that you deserve uh bread's not saying this oxy's
not saying this but we were we spent a good chunk of the show earlier talking about nfts
if i'm in the market for an nft right now this is probably one i'm taking a hard look at But we spent a good chunk of the show earlier talking about NFTs.
If I'm in the market for an NFT right now, this is probably one I'm taking a hard look at.
I don't hold any bad buns.
I have no exposure currently.
I think at one point they traded up to almost maybe like 0.5.
Does that sound right, Oxy?
Floor ran up to about half an ETH, give or take.
I think that's about right.
Maybe nothing comes of it.
Maybe it's just the community.
If I want to speculate on a new NFT collection,
It might make sense to take a shot on one that's building something like this
that's a one-stop shop for swaps, perps,
prediction markets, lending, maybots.
Hey, maybe there's no value,
no utility for bad buns holders.
That would be a little odd to me based on again this is my own opinion it's first time i've realized that prism is being built by the team that's bad buns but again how my brain works like
there's only a supply of 3 000 of these nfts maybe just maybe it is there's some extra value add on prism and for those nft holders so again
that's just looking ahead if you're looking to speculate not don't go buy this on my
recommendations this is certainly not financial advice bad buns could be 0.1 tomorrow
do your research check around if you're looking for something to explore, I think Prism and Bad Buns might be a community,
might be something worth checking out.
If you're bullish, Meggy, if you want to check it out,
go check their stress test, go play some Fluffle Crossing
and maybe do a deeper dive on Prism and or Bad Buns this weekend.
Oxy's accepting DMs for anyone that wants a tour around that ecosystem.
I kid, but he's very helpful and a great guy.
Hit me up. Hit me up for sure.
Anything we didn't ask you that you were hoping to share today on MegaEath?
Maybe just like the point, like you talked to the stressors, obviously.
I'll just do like a high level to make sure people understand why we're doing it, which is like, yeah, like cool.
Like, honestly, like what I'm trying to, what we are trying to show with it is not like, oh, cool, it can handle the thing. It's whatever. Like, honestly, like, what I'm trying to,
what we are trying to show with it
is not that, like, oh, cool, TPS, TPS.
But it's mostly just that, one,
it is able to hit the levels that it can, right?
16,000 TPS, we have to 32,000 TPS.
We're basically going to break all the charts
that are used for the Ethereum ecosystem
for the foreseeable future.
But it's to, like, let builders be able to see this,
even with 16,000, 30,000 DPS,
It's all, it's still instant.
It's still cheap as shit, right?
It's the fractions of a cent
for you to play Crossy Fluffler or whatever.
And that just lets you say like,
okay, like if I come into this ecosystem
and I'm going to build as an app builder,
one, I can like be ensured that my app is going to be responsive and it's going to be cheap for years.
Like literally years, like we're not going to fill 16 to 30,000 TPS with organic demand for probably years.
If I'm being totally honest, right?
Solana is five years old, seven years old, whatever it is.
And they have 3,000 TPS with boats, which is just doubles, like 13,000 TPS or 1,300 TPS.
It's like, we're never going to fill that in any short timeframe.
So it's meant to signal to builders
that they can come, they can build,
and it literally will just be on that.
The infrastructure, the chain itself
is not going to hold you back
for the foreseeable future.
Come build to your heart's desire.
And frankly, abstract us entirely.
I had two calls yesterday, actually,
with builders that are just like,
man, I'm moving my app to mega ETH
because I don't want to give a shit. I don't want to care. I want to have just the best
experience and I can have the best experience because it is the most responsive and it can
handle the demand that we're anticipating as someone that's envisioning for global demand,
whatever. So, um, that's what it's meant to show. Like the numbers are cool. It's fun. It breaks
some charts, whatever. But like the, the big thing is the signal for the future that like,
there's a home here for people.
So that's it. Again, well done. I'm super impressed. Yes, I'm biased, but future proofing matters, right? Those of us here, I think most of us believe that only more things are going to be
tokenized going forward. It's just going to continue to grow. More assets are going to be
tokenized tomorrow than we're today. Past 40 years, a lot more assets are going to be tokenized going forward. Like it's just going to continue to grow. More assets are going to be tokenized tomorrow than we're today. Fast forward a year, a lot more assets are going to be tokenized
than we're today. There's going to be more builders on chain. There's going to be more things happening
on chain. And is MegaEth after this test, are they going to be doing 15,000? No, but this shows
what is, it's not just theoretical, it's in reality what's possible. And they've got years
to grow into this and knowing that your performance isn't going to change, your gas costs aren't going to go up.
And I'm not knocking on base, but it's just better.
Like, can base scale from here too?
But the reality is this is – the future-proofing does matter. And for long-term-minded builders, if you're not going mainnet, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better chain to build on.
Does Solana have its niches?
And if you're going after a DJing crowd, maybe that's the spot to go.
If you need all the, I guess, top of funnel.
I understand what base is doing from a consumer standpoint,
but the reality is I don't know how much of that is really pulled through yet. Now,
could they do some different things and they have a massive onboarding from Coinbase customers into
base? Yeah, they could. I just, I don't know reality other than the apps that they've tapped
They've tapped as their chosen ones that they've invested in, that they've driven a lot of attention to.
as their chosen ones that they've invested in, that they've driven a lot of attention to.
I don't know as if just being on base, it leads to a bunch of new users and a bunch of top of funnel adoption.
I don't know that that's happening as much as base might like you to believe.
Do they have an advantage over MegaEth because they have millions of customers already at Coinbase?
They do, but you still got to connect X to Y. Here is really impressive, not just technically what they're doing and what
they're showing is possible and what they're showing is future-proofing. I think, again,
narratives matter. The memes matter. This should attract builders, and I think builders attract
more builders. When you're making a decision, where should I go? Where should I build? You're building with a five, 10-year timeline.
Are there other options? Maybe, but it's hard to find an objection as to why not go here
in terms of, is the chain still going to be performed? Is it going to be more costly?
They're showing via this stress test that they've got years of runway before you start having even any remote concerns as it relates to that.
So, again, really appreciate you sharing today.
Jack, appreciate you holding down the co-host seat and helping with the troubleshooting earlier.
I'm probably not going to send the roadcaster off yet.
I think I'm going to buy a Duo or something mobile before I send this thing off for, for repair and, um, in refurbishment.
shout out to everyone who powered through with us today.

I won't be watching it Sunday night because it airs at 10 PM Eastern time.
I don't know who they think stays up that late to watch a series.
Thinking of Sam till 11 o'clock.
Like I don't even stay up to watch football that late.
