Like, comment, drop your NBA thoughts.
The aspiring nobody.
Celtics, baby.
I remember y'all overlooking us.
Oh, we're gonna
be talking about the celtics for sure the celtics are playing some good ball marathon with my man
con let's go zombie rob with the gm e-money bro with the golden fister that shit is clean i haven't
even seen that one let's go absolutely elite uh elite. 4-5-6 with the GM.
Again, let's get this thing up and running.
We're going to start with the standings here.
As we do, we go through the NBA standings each and every week.
Things are starting to clear up as we get ready for the playoffs.
Also, this is fun, too, because I've got a live audience here.
I think people are standing in line to get Pokemon cards or basketball cards, but in reality,
they're here for a live view.
How many people? We need to add them to the audience,
bro. Onboard them on Twitter.
5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,
12, 13. There's like 30 people here.
Holy shit.
They're going to get the live NBA talk
here. Maybe I'll go and I'll get some guest
appearances. If anyone talks ball, we're on a live NBA podcast too.
Anyone tell me what you're looking for, we're in.
Nope, no one's making eye contact.
But you know, you never know.
You never know.
Tell them you have some crazy Europeans here, man.
Let's start with the East.
Let's start with the East.
The Pistons in first place, 43-14, which, believe it or not,
I mean, it's not technically the best record in the NBA.
I think it's tied.
But they have the least amount of losses in the NBA,
and that includes the West and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
How crazy is that?
The Pistons are for real.
They were just taken down by the Spurs this last week, which I saw a pretty crazy stat that the Pistons are for real they were just taken down by the Spurs this last week which I saw a pretty crazy stat that the Spurs it's
like the most wins ever in a season against teams with the best record in the
NBA so that was pretty wild you got the Celtics in second place 38 and 20 that's
pretty impressive without Tatum.
Jason Tatum back to doing five-on-five drills in practice.
is he going to, I mean,
is it crazy to start thinking about him coming to
join the Celtics in
the playoffs? And will
or will that not disrupt their
flow, what they've been doing right now?
As someone who's played, it's hard to integrate so late.
But this guy is like the heart and soul.
It's Jason – it's Jalen Brown's team right now, right?
Like, this is his team in his season.
So anything Tatum could do, even if it's in a complementary role,
do you think he's able to do that?
Like, will he be able to come in and maybe just give some, like,
some good minutes and just kind of, like, fill in the pieces
of what this team looks like this year? Or if he comes back, is he going to come back and expect just give some like some good minutes and just kind of like fill in the pieces of what this team looks like this year or if he comes back is he going to come back and expect to
be the man like tell me what you think your thoughts on the celtics here too because listen
we got the aspiring nobody down here and then we got some celtics fans in the house what are your
thoughts let me go ahead and help inspiring nobody out yeah the celtics are doing their thing right
now honestly with jason tatum right now i mean you know, I mean, obviously we don't know about his mentality
right now about him coming back, but if he feels like he's coming back doing five-on-five drills,
honestly, the Celtics are probably going to put him on the G League team and then, you know,
I mean, let him get a couple games in, see how he does. You know, I mean, obviously he's going to
have to get his conditioning back. Just the NBA conditioning is just different once you're actually playing five on five.
So let him get his conditioning back in the G League games.
And then, honestly, yeah, from the higher ups,
you're just going to have to see, you know, what they're feeling.
But my whole thing is if he does come back, bring him off the bench.
You know what I mean?
Obviously bring him off the bench for sure.
You know, restrict his minutes.
See how he's playing right now because, obviously,
I would like him to play with, like like Pritchard and them coming in that would be a good that would be a good like add-on to Pritchard for sure to have him coming off the bench with him so
just depending on how his performance is in the G League games honestly that's where you can really
decipher and say hey are you ready to play in the NBA I mean I mean when you say performance
you're not talking about like stats
right yeah no yeah it's just like is he is he healthy i'm just making sure you know ball
i'm just making sure you know ball come on come on yeah but i'm saying like that was your that
was your ball test here yeah like actual performance wise can you like push off of that leg
with your quick twitch muscles you know i mean all that you know all the good stuff that just
comes with the conditioning and just actually having to run up and down.
So that's what I'm saying.
Like, is he going to be ready performance-wise to give them 100%?
You know what I mean?
And if he's not, then bring him off the bench.
Let him play in the G League games.
Even bring him off the bench in the G League games right now,
just like I said, just so he can get his mentality right.
And then once he's feeling good, bring him off the bench in the real games.
Get restricted minutes and then see how he plays with the second team coming off the bench.
It's going to be fascinating to see.
Because, again, they're just playing great ball.
That's a great team ball.
And adding a new element, even if it's one of the best players in the world, Jason Tatum.
It's still a new dynamic.
Mentally, I think it has to be so hard
to overcome such an injury.
I think it's something like not selling
your ape for $500,000, bro.
I'll never recover for that.
We could have clicked a button.
I think it's kind of similar.
Oh, I think the whole audience,
if we sold on top, we could buy our own NBA team, guys.
But we're here.
It's good.
But we're doing Twitter spaces for free.
So it's what we do.
Before we get to see you.
So you know who stepped up their game, though, Squiddy?
Sorry to cut you off.
But you know, Derek White, bro, since they got rid of Anthony Simon, his shot production
is going straight through the roof now that
he's actually been able to touch the ball a lot
Yeah, I mean, dude, he's
a gold medal Olympian,
right? He's one of the goats
and he's a true glue
guy. And yeah, man,
they've got it all. They've got it all.
But we're going to keep going down
here the knicks are in third place right now at 37 and 22 seven games back again unless the
pistons fully fall in their face i don't see them losing that one seed cavaliers seven and a half
back in fourth place those are the teams that will have home court advantage at this time
there's a little drop off to fifth so right now we're looking at the Pistons Celtics Knicks
and Cavs which you know if you look at the odds those are the four teams that
have the best chances of coming out of the East in fifth place we've got the
Raptors 34 and 25 they've got got a funky, interesting little team. Marathon, do you think the Raptors,
can they beat any of these top four teams in a seven-game series?
Man, it's kind of tough, man,
just because I feel like they don't have a stab as big on their team,
and, like, they're just all about their guard work.
Like, they have great defense and everything,
but they're just more liked about their guards.
And I'm like, honestly, going into the playoffs,
you really got to have an established big. And, like, I just feel like, yeah, they're just more liked about their guards. And I'm like, honestly, going into the playoffs, you really got to have an established big.
And, like, I just feel like, yeah, they're just not ready yet.
So, like, they're great at home, though.
You know what I mean?
You don't like Jacob Poto?
I mean, you know, Jacob, he's all right.
He's not bad.
He's just – he's not – I wouldn't consider him a big.
You know what I mean?
I consider him a four, if anything, because they're putting him at the four.
And, like I said, he's not that back-to-the-back, you know what I mean, back-to a four, if anything, because they're putting him at the four. And like I said, he's not that back to the back, you know, back to the back big.
So that's what I mean, like basket big.
So I'm just like, I feel like they're good at home like Utah.
You know what I mean?
They're that Utah team that can be like, they're really hard to beat at home.
But on a road and like having them play in the playoffs, no, they're not beating anybody in a seven-game series.
No, they're not beating anybody in a seven-game series.
They're definitely probably – I say threats, they win three games
out of a seven-game series.
It depends on who they play.
Yeah, it depends on who they play.
They're so athletic, though.
They really are.
Which I feel like, you know, in the right matchup.
And, you know, these are all professionals.
Any, you know, the one thing about basketball versus, say, football, where it's just like a
one game, anything can happen.
I think that Toronto, they could really suffocate
you defensively with
Ingram and Scotty Barnes.
Right? Like, that's just, those are
really good, tough wings.
You got my man, Murray
Boyles. The small
five there,
too. Which is, you know, they've got the intangibles
and they're just going to be tough. They're like the Timberwolves of the East, but without
the scoring of my favorite player in the NBA, Anthony Edwards. We're going to get to the
West soon. Sixth place, the Philadelphia 76ers. What a weird team. What a weird team.
When Embiid plays, they're dangerous.
I really think that they could beat anybody.
Who knows you're going to get a healthy Embiid for a playoff run.
That is just never a guarantee.
That's never a guarantee.
Vijay Edgecombe is a stud.
Tyrese Maxey just set the Sixers franchise record for most three-pointers made all time,
which kind of blew my mind because he's so young.
But, I mean, he's been in the league, what, five years?
I didn't even know how that was possible.
The Sixers are like a storied franchise.
They've been around for a long time.
So, I mean, this guy is the franchise.
This guy is the truth.
And it's fun to see him blossom.
So they've got the core.
They've got the guys like Oubre who can, like, you know, match up defensively.
Just need Embiid healthy.
If Embiid's not healthy, none of it matters.
In seventh place, a marathon special, the Orlando Orlando Magic a 31 and 27 so there's a
game and a half between the sixth place Sixers and the seventh place Magic that
is important because if you are in seventh place you are going to have to
win a game in the playing round so that's why six and seven is a tough one place, the Miami Heat, they're another game back of the Magic.
Ninth place, the Atlanta Hawks. Tenth place, maybe the favorite team of the show, the Charlotte Hornets.
And then they have a one-and-a-half game lead over the also-surging Milwaukee Bucks, winners of eight of their last ten games.
were also surging Milwaukee Bucks, winners of eight of their last 10 games.
So, they're in 11th place.
In 12th place, the Chicago Bulls, which, can you believe this, guys?
0 for their last 10.
They're on a 10-game losing streak.
10-game losing streak, the Chicago Bulls.
It's like my minting streak, bro.
I'm also 10-0 on those so i can relate i understand
how it feels but if they don't give up they have a chance and they're still like hanging on by
thread for the uh the play-in but listen that's just unoptimal unoptimal so they're three and a
half games back of the bucks they're pretty much out of it.
And then you've got the three tank-a-thon teams.
There's three tank-a-thon teams in the East, and there are five in the West.
The Wizards, Nets, and Pacers, which we don't really need to talk about them because they're not worth our breath.
What stands out on you there, too?
I mean, it's pretty much the same old, same old from last week.
Nothing's really changed.
That Pistons-Spurs game was interesting and pretty telling.
Tobias Harris had a sick dunk.
That was pretty cool.
Did you see that one?
That was nasty.
I was like, man, his old ass actually got up.
So I played against him at Nationals.
He's on my list of guys who I played against that are in the NBA.
There's like an eight-person list.
Dope. Dope.
He's a tall dude, right?
Yeah, pretty solid.
Yeah, he's big.
He was like one of the top players too.
And my boy, shout out to my man Jabril,
who, you know, like he heard the hype too.
And he's a hand.
He's like, yo, man, your handles ain't all that.
Your handles ain't all that.
Like I'll never forget.
Trash talking Tobias because that just cracked me up.
Let's go to the West.
The Oklahoma City Thunder
still in first place, trying to go wire to wire
to win the West.
Not much to say about them.
My note about the Thunder, Jared McCain
acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers
starting to hoop a little bit.
I need to shout out
to my man Kaysan Wallace,
who is absolutely balling right now.
I hope he doesn't lose too much of his playing time.
He's always getting in that mid-20s, upper-20s minutes per game as the backup guard,
and he's even started a little bit with Shea.
But he's been on fire, which has been
fun to watch. Spurs in second place, 10-0 in their last 10, absolutely surging, only a game and a half
back of the Thunder. Thunder got a little sweat there for that home court without the playoffs.
That's going to be huge in that, you know, we're all rooting for a Thunder-Spurs playoff series
right now.
So the only way that's going to happen is if it's in the Western Conference Finals
because the NBA does recede.
Right? I'm pretty positive the NBA recedes.
Or does it not?
Grateful, does the NBA recede?
Marathon? 100%.
Grateful, you said NBA re-seed? Marathon?
Grateful, you said that yield now.
A hundred percent.
I said a hundred percent.
It really just depends on how they feel and how the teams are looking.
They really, for me, Squiddy, that's all I feel like. No, like, does it re-seed, like, the playoffs?
So, like, you know, like, one versus eight, two versus seven,
is it a bracket, or do they do they recede based off of their,
their standings?
It just depends.
that's what I was saying.
I'm going to Google it.
It's really like,
you have the one playing the eight,
two playing the seven,
three playing,
So it's like that really,
but that's what I'm like.
We're in such a close race with the West right now.
The East kind of has it on top with them.
I answered my own question, Marathon. The NBA does not recede.
It's a bracket football, football recede. So again,
if anyone's listening with receding, right? Like the one seat, the two seat,
if they receded, the one seat would constantly play the lowest seat available.
That's how I like it.
Yeah, but it's a bracket.
Whereas, like, football, it's like, okay, if so-and-so wins,
you're always going to play.
It's always going to be the top versus the lowest,
and that kind of keeps going, which makes sense.
All right.
Third place, there's a big drop.
So seven games back versus the Houston Rockets.
So he's got like three teams here in this little bit, which is huge.
One of these teams will not get home court advantage.
The Rockets are in third right now at 37-21.
The Nuggets are in fourth, 37-22.
And the Timberwolves in fifth at 37-23.
It's going to be every game is so important for these teams,
and they're all playing average basketball.
The Nuggets are four and six in their last ten games.
One of those teams will drop out of the home court in the first round.
Sixth place, the middling Lakers.
Seventh place, the Phoenix Suns.
Eighth place, the flailing Golden State
Warriors which could be maybe one of Steph's last runs. In ninth place you've
got Denny Avizas, Portland Trail Blazers. Tenth place the Los Angeles Clippers
and then you've got the five tank teams which is crazy. So you've got 15 teams in the conference.
Ten of them make the playoffs, and five of them are all part of the tanktastic tank,
which are the Grizzlies, the Mavericks, the Javs, the Pelicans,
and the lowly Sacramento Kings, who are 14 and 47,
which is the worst record in the NBA.
So the Western playoff teams are all pretty much locked in.
If you chose to actually try this season, you're guaranteed to make the playoffs,
which something's broken there. How do we fix this?
We've talked about tanking a little bit in the past, but literally just by
waking up and being like, oh, I'm going to try. Congratulations, you're in the Western Conference
playoffs. That should not be the case
all right i'll keep talking um you know bro ask random people in in there bro like how do i i
don't know how to fix that but it's kind of annoying uh to see that. I hate it. But guys, do you remember if that
was happening also in the past around like 90s and 2000s where people were
teams doing the same or it's like extreme these days? It's as extreme as
it's ever been. Yeah, not back in the day. It was actually every team was
competitive. It didn't matter if he was at the bottom or the top so and
there were less teams too and there were less playoff teams you know like it was even right
now like again just as a few years ago there were only eight teams in the playoffs now there's 10
with all these playing games right so with 10 teams in and 15 in each conference i mean that's
66 percent of the of the conference gets to make the playoffs, gets to have a chance.
So to those of you who might not be familiar, the top eight are like part of like the real series,
like getting a best of seven series. But teams seven, eight, nine, and ten, they have a little
mini like play-in tournament to become those seven and eight seeds. And the odds are heavily
favored for the seven and the eight seed, rightfully so,
because they earned that in the standings.
The seven seed, they get two possibles.
They just have to win two games at home.
One of two games at home in order to make
the playoffs.
If you are the 10 seed,
you have to win basically two games
on the road. I think it might even be three games on the road.
Yeah, but Miami Heat were the only team to do that.
Is it two or three?
I feel like they –
Well, you have to win two no matter what.
And then –
Well, no, the 7th seed just has to win one game.
No, I'm talking about for Miami Heat.
When they did it –
Yeah, when they got it –
So they were in the 10th.
And when they ended up playing the Nuggets.
So that would have been – yeah, they won two games,
and I think they had to play a third game.
I think that's what it is, because they make it,
they skew it a lot harder based on how you are in the playoffs,
because they also don't want, like, okay,
a team, like, just misses the 6 seed, they get the 7,
and then they get, like, unlucky or something.
Like, it's highly skewed in terms of rewarding,
like, the better seeding
for the play-in, which is as it should be.
And that makes a lot of sense.
The last time
Jimmy Butler was on the heat and he did that.
Oh man, everyone's sharing their fisters
in the comments. I love this. I appreciate it.
Stay fisting.
Stay fisting. If you're in this space and you don't have a fister let me
know i might be uh with with magic eden going under apparently today or bro did you no you
didn't mean on magic eden right no i did on mintify which i don't know if they're looking
too hot right now either um but yeah i gotta yeah, I've definitely been using that as my primary marketplace for the project.
So I should probably post some stuff about the fisters soon.
But yeah, we've got to get even the Mintify marketplace, no one really uses that.
So we will see.
We will see how it is.
But the collection lives on Ape Chain.
We need Ape Chain.
We need our marketplace right now.
That's a conversation to have for the Gaming Ape Show or for the Grateful Show.
Who else is just joining us right now?
Spooky, I see you down there.
What's up, Gma? Good I see you down there what's up Gma good to see you N plus N
if you got your NBA takes drop them in the comments
we've got someone to come and save us
we love when our homies come up
and drop us with some alpha
some hot takes some pinions on the NBA
we got LL Cub King in the house
what's going on LL
he's doing it and doing it and doing it well
I represent what's up Aaron going on LL. He's doing it and doing it and doing it well.
Let's go, champ.
I represent Queens. What's up, Arizona?
I'm grateful.
What's up?
What's good, fam?
You guys been watching some ball lately?
Always, man. Always watching hoop.
Oh, guy's got a Celtics jersey on.
Go Celtics.
Man, some good basketball going on. Go Celtics. Yeah. Let's go. Man.
Some good basketball going on lately.
And then some obvious, like, blatant
bullshit that we're still dealing with
on some games.
You know, just cheating
fucking blatant two
dribble across
the court.
No-call walks. I'm tired of these walks, man.bble across the court. No call walks.
I'm tired of these walks, man.
It's getting embarrassing.
It's called the Euro Step Shimmy Jimmy.
Two step Hassam and Lassam.
That's so crazy.
James Harden.
I mean, I remember just being in like church league basketball
and getting screamed at so hard for moving your pivot foot
where it became, like, PTSD to me.
And it's like, can we get some of these church league coaches in there
to just start yelling at these guys or something?
Because what the hell?
Yeah, they rewritten the rule book back in, like, the 90s,
damn near when Ginobili came in. But, I mean, even before Ginobili, they were kind of already implementing the gather step. And they were trying to implement that in the 90s. And then actually when like the Euros started coming in during that actual Euro step, they implemented into the actual NBA rulebook that you can have a gather step after your pickup. So it's like, I don't know.
They're doing way too much nowadays, honestly.
It might as well just be fucking slam ball in general,
just not even let anybody dribble.
Definitely seems like where we're headed towards.
Dude, slam ball.
Great reference.
What about Kevin Durant last night, though? Yo yo he is a bucket straight up yo i mean he scored 26 in the second half like light too like i'm sure he could have gone got even more
but i i really think like after kevin durant is done i really think he might be able to pass LeBron. I think so, too, man.
They said, well, what,
his last night he passed?
I mean, he
passed Dirk. Yeah, he passed
Dirk, and now, I mean, you got to think about it.
Next is Jordan. Yep, next is Jordan, so
honestly, if Kevin Durant
probably averages 30
for, like, the next, like, the rest
of this season, and then going on to, like, the first half of the next season, he'll pass Jordan.
Hold on a second.
Yeah, I think, I think even just one or two more seasons and that's a really big
I really see him just being at the top, like up there with LeBron and all them.
Trying to think who else I can see.
Maybe James Harden moving into, like, fifth, fourth also by the time he's done.
But right now I see Kevin Durant as the reason why the Houston Rockets
will win their seven-game series.
It doesn't matter if they have home game or not, home court or not.
So the fact that they got Reed Shepard right now helping them,
like Reed Shepard is for surely taking on the lead role of like a Van Fleet right now.
Like they are trusting in him.
They can pass the ball to him.
He makes a shot, makes a perfect pass now.
And like now he's passing he's passing rookies sophomore
times where he's actually like showing his true like true champion like body being in the nba
yeah interesting to watch man to see that shit uh play out on these different teams like that
and their structures is uh it's interesting to see how like
a team can be better with a different i mean like kind of like i guess you could say obviously i'm
biased but the celtics you know when they have different lineups in that are four guys off their
bench and it's like just jalen brown or and you know peyton pritchard or something in there that
these guys know are familiar with it's like a whole different team, and they're not prepared for that.
They didn't watch tape on these guys, and Joe Mazzulla comes out and releases these guys.
It's like those are the dudes that are practicing as a unit together,
waiting for their chance to come up.
There's a lot of talent in the NBA, but there's also a lot of old heads
that are going to take that bench spot.
And Boston has always shown that in the playoffs past year on from year on to year on, showing that you have to have a bench.
If you do not have a fucking bench or a supporting cast to actually like help you, you know, you know, I mean, through the playoffs, defense, offense, rebounding, it doesn't matter, whatever it is.
playoffs, defense, offense, rebounding. It doesn't matter. Whatever it is. You know what I'm saying?
That's why Boston has always been true to their colors because they've always shown that you have
to have a bench. It's not about fucking putting three superstars together. It's not about, you
know what I mean, having maybe like the strongest starting five. Yes, that does help, obviously,
but you always want their bench to come in and take the fucking load off. You feel me? Because
if you guys are up 20, you want your bench to come up and take the fucking load off. You feel me? Because if you guys are up 20,
you want your bench to come up and put you guys up fucking 30 to 15,
another 15.
You feel me?
Like that's what you guys want to be at.
So that's all it is.
So like Boston has shown their true colors.
And that's why I think Detroit right now is showing their true colors.
Anybody who's putting their bench together and anyone who's coming off the
bench and actually putting down good production numbers and just energy,
a hundred% effort,
they're the teams that are showing.
And those are the teams that will win, that will be in the top spots in the playoffs for sure.
Just like the Spurs, just like the Nuggets, just like Houston. There's these dogs that they have on the team that are just being ready to be released.
You know what I'm saying?
They're tired of being behind these superstars.
And they're like, yo, it's my time to shine.
Let's go. So that's what I really love about boston they've always had that that good bench and then like i said just the rest of the east is trying to follow
up soon they're trying to follow suit but detroit right now is honestly the best bet of actually
having the best bench of actual production coming off so my dad always says when it comes to
basketball and for women you got to have a good bench basketball and for women. You've got to have a good
bench. You've got to
have a deep bench.
Papa Squiddy. We need him back in here for his
live takes. To the stars making plays.
Send him some love
to Papa Squiddy. He's got
some... He's been having some
help this year, but we're sending him some love.
We did just make a dynasty basketball trade.
So I brought him into my dynasty basketball league.
He is the GOAT of fantasy basketball.
And we had a big one.
I don't know if I talked about this last time, how I traded Joel Embiid.
Did I mention this last week?
Yeah, briefly that you made a big trade, yeah, since you're playing for next year basically.
Yeah, yeah, so I know I made one big one. I traded Donovan, but this one with my dad in the league with a bunch of my friends,
which of course everyone gave a shit for, but I thought it was a good trade. He's going for it this year. I'm out of it. I traded Joel Embiid, Jabari Smith,
who is tough to let go of because he's been hooping, Brayden Posinski,
who, again, without Steph, has been on
his numbers. We have to talk about him later. He's been absolutely hooping,
and Josh Hart, who's just all-around solid. Four, I got
Anthony Davis back.
To me, Embiid and AD, just who's healthy, right?
Like, fingers crossed.
I don't need Embiid this year.
Figured I'd take the risk.
I got Ace Bailey back for next year.
Reed Shepard.
Taylor Hendricks, who, he plays my type of game.
He plays my type of fantasy game.
Just got center eligibility and a first-round pick, which was clutch.
So I was very excited about that.
So roast my trade.
Who won there, too?
I mean, we thought it was a pretty fair, like, win-win.
I'm going for next year.
He's trying to load up for this year.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Sometimes you got a sandbag, man.
I mean, that's the name of the game in the NBA, apparently,
is looking sandbag, sandbag, sandbag. So why not take a little note from them
and hook up Papa Squid,
and hopefully your team is looking good next season.
People are like, yeah, I like choosing favorites.
Gosh darn right, I'm choosing favorites.
That man gave me. I like your Anthony Davis and Embiid, like having them both on the
team. Like I said, if they stay healthy, which I traded, I traded AD and I got, I traded, I traded
Embiid and I got AD back. Yeah. So now, so let's say, I mean, Andy Davis said he vowed to like,
you know, be more healthier, like get a leaner body for Washington next year say, I mean, Andy Davis said he vowed to like, you know, be more healthier,
like get a leaner body for Washington next year.
So, I mean, when he is healthy, you're right.
He's a dangerous person.
So he helps any team.
Like, it doesn't matter who you are.
Andy Davis is a hard guard to cover.
You know what I mean?
So that's a great pickup, honestly.
And then having Ace Bailey right there reach effort straight always.
So you're good.
And a first-round pick in a loaded draft.
You're solid, bro. I've got three
total first round picks now. I should have
two picks in
Yeah, so we should be looking good
here too, where I can get AJ, or I
can get Boozer, or I can get
what's the dude from
Kansas? I forget his name.
But we'll see we shall see did you see that antony davis has a new uh player custom sneakers uh did you see that on instagram the broken ankles
yeah that it it was like a huge ankle braces for Anthony Davis, like the new custom player shoe. Bro, that's so sad.
Was it a troll or what?
Yeah, it was like breaking news, Anthony Davis, new player shoe by Nike.
They were like those huge boots, right? When you break your ankle.
Oh my God.
The whole club was looking at Anthony Davis.
I mean, it's not inaccurate.
That's hilarious, yo.
Yeah, this is kind of random, but I ended up watching
a little bit of the Orlando game last night, and I don't watch a ton of Magic.
That was a good game, actually.
It was, dude, and I couldn't turn it off.
But, like, every time, I guess, I watch Paolo Benchero, I'm, like,
as a basketball fan, I, like, drool.
I'm, like, holy shit, this dude is only like 22, like 23 maybe.
And it's just shocking to me, man, like how good he is.
And he's really not talked about as much as he should be.
I don't know, man.
Every time we Celtics play him, you know, he's like –
Celtics play him you know he's like destroys them he does man and it's hard it sucks and
He destroys them.
He does, man, and it sucks.
then you watch him on play in other teams and it's like dude is a headache for everybody
right now his uh his points just went down like a couple just honestly I felt like this year he's
not being talked about a lot because obviously Franz is not playing for the rest of the year but before franz did get hurt you know i mean franz was really him and baines were
kind of putting the producing of the numbers on the magic and bane carroll was kind of like that
third option so now that franz is not playing obviously it's just now just bane and bane carroll
now bane carroll gets to shine again so now he's getting more touches you know i'm saying more
looks so that's all it really is.
And that's the only reason why he wasn't really being looked,
because Bane kind of overshadowed everybody.
As soon as he got drafted there, everybody was like, oh, shit, it's Bane's team now.
You know what I mean?
Like, Bane is the veteran because he's been on this, you know,
that Memphis team that's made that run and blah, blah.
He's been here before.
And then when Bane came in, he was taking damn near all the shots.
He was taking them before more or less. He was the first option. Then it was Franz. And then when Bain came in, he was taking damn near all the shots. He was taking them before, more or less, he was the first option.
Then it was Franz, and then it was Bain Carroll.
Then you could figure out who else, Wendell Carter maybe.
But like Bain's, just when him coming in, averaging what he's doing
and shooting the minute, I mean shooting what he's doing,
that's the only reason why Bain Carroll kind of fell back.
He kind of just was like, there's too many fucking guards nowadays.
And now it's like,
I don't know what to do, because also
Anthony Black has been showing his
ass, too, also. So you guys got to remember,
like, Anthony Black has been fucking putting...
He obviously, you know, you're grateful
you watched him catch that body, catch four
bodies in Germany, so it's like,
after that, Anthony Black's
minutes, like, his minutes
production got him. When he gets on the floor, dude
it's fucking like a plus 12, plus 14
for the magic, and he cooks, so
it's like he does everything for them, so that's why
I was like, it was a time where
Van Carroll, it just wasn't Van Carroll's time,
you know what I mean, because like I said, all these other guys
were actually just like, it was just their time right now
because Van Carroll came in the first two years and was like,
hey, I'm dogging everybody out,
I'm going to still do my thing, but now, now like i said we have all these other younger guys coming in
now it's like gotta let them shine in but van carroll's still gonna do his thing if you give
him the fucking ball all the time he's gonna average 30 yeah yeah all day so that's all it
really is he plays well with black in my opinion i think they're like they've become they've
developed you know that relationship that's really important in basketball.
They have that give and take where, yeah, it may be the other one that gets 30 a night
or the next night it's the other one that kind of rotates.
But they know, all right, it's not going to be both of us every night.
We're both good enough to where if I'm feeling it, let me just get downhill.
And if not, I'll draw that defender, dish it out to you.
And, you know, Black's a finisher, man.
I mean, they're good.
They're good.
I hate watching Orlando because I'm not a fan of the Magic.
But good team.
LL, you know who I kind of want to compare them to?
Just Anthony Black and Ben Carroll is that, like, old Penny Hardaway Shaq kind of, like,
combo back in the day.
Obviously, you know, Ben Carroll is really like not as dominant as Shaq,
but he's more, he's like I said, he's an offensive headache for any position.
You know what I mean?
Out there, especially if he gets caught on the switch or pick and roll.
So that's why it's like, if you can, if you can picture that,
Anthony Black being that Penny Hardaway, like I said, you know,
that all that showtime,
get into the whole dunking people every now and then dish and diamond doing
everything. And like I said, Benane Carroll is that solid guy that you need
that's going to literally get you the bucket.
You want to go to it.
You're going to fucking Bane Carroll at the end of the game no matter what.
You feel me?
Like Anthony Black for sure even knows, like,
I'm going to give him the ball to Bane or Bane Carroll,
which is probably going to be Bane Carroll because Bane Carroll
mostly has the mismatches of anything.
Yeah, no doubt.
I agree with all that
it's uh it's good when i guess it's a good sign in the nba at least when you can watch teams you
don't like about you don't like and be like all right at least this is good basketball and that's
how i felt watching them and maybe a few others but not you know that doesn't really happen with
a lot of teams that you don't like.
I mean, you're like, when am I watching this, turn this trash off,
but they're competitive. And, and I think because of the youth, you know,
they're not out of it, you know, by any means,
they're not necessarily in it, but they're, they're out there showing up.
They're a good team.
That's the truth. You're right. I'm a fan of basketball. So it's like,
honestly, the funny thing is I like, I'm like, obviously, you know, you
do have your teams that you hate and all that, but I literally have a favorite player probably
on every team in the NBA that I've like, actually like, like the way they play, what they do
for the team, stuff like that.
So it's like, I definitely try to like, look for just like good, you know, good basketball.
Like you're saying, like, if you're playing good basketball, you attract people.
So that's all it is for sure with me.
And, like, let's get on fucking Khan, one of the best fucking shooters in the NBA right now since Seth Curry's not playing.
So, like, that man right now, bro, I'm trying to tell you, he's fucking the great white hope.
Get that man paid.
Get him fucking anything you need for next year.
I'm trying to tell you.
Put whatever pieces you can around this guy for sure.
Because, like, he is a team leader.
Like, the dude knows how to actual play.
But you would think that Larry Bird was just reborn in him.
Like, it's so crazy how good he is.
I wish we had a better NFT system with basketball.
And we could actually have these players and it'd be kind of like, you know, fantasy basketball where Squiddy's like, damn, I had to trade this. But it's the same situation, but it's NFTs.
know top shot and all that stuff from what we kind of hoped and thought for a while and i
grateful i think you're plugged into more of the basketball nft side of things than i am but
it just seems like it just faded out and then they stopped kind of trying i guess is what i see
yeah man it's it's crazy i i think i bought a nba top shot pack a few weeks ago or maybe a few months ago
but there's that we talk about it but it's sleeping the the basketball.fun on somnia network
you can buy packs but you can do anything with those right so it's kind of weird situation that
you can spend money but then do nothing with it which is weird so i'm waiting what's gonna happen there but it makes
so much sense damn to have nfts for that right like it's uh it's built for that but man i don't
know i had high hopes for nba top shot of course back in 21 but they fucked up amen brother they
could have killed that man they could have had so many different like prizes they could have killed that, man. They could have had so many different prizes. They could have sent people to the Vegas Summer League.
They could have sent people to just a game.
You could give you guys tickets for anything.
They could have did so much stuff with that.
You know I worked for them, right?
Oh, my gosh.
They didn't listen to a thing I said.
I was just a measly community guy.
They're like, oh, what do I know?
He said, I was just a smart guy in the mail room.
They didn't care but yeah was it just like that they thought they had this web 2 side
of marketing idea of it squiddy and like that's why it didn't work or what dude people were buying
common cards for like 80 bucks when they should not have been more than a dollar it was just like the craze
and in classic form i was buying buying buying but i was not selling so probably lost like six figures
in uh all the like the bitcoin games lost them but once i started working for them i couldn't
buy moments anymore it's like all right need to find other nfts so i bought board eight
so that funny how that works
and also you were talking about winning that is winning is the greatest love language of all time
especially if these guys want to like you know they get older and they mature and all that they
just want to they do want to win right because you're back, you're in your 40s, 50s, telling the stories.
You want to talk about being on winning
You want to talk about being on winning teams.
No one cares if you, you know,
average 30.
Who do you care if you got
some championship
that's the truth right Anthony Edwards got to show that
he's proven it though I give Anthony Edwards like one more year
before he wins a chip
or before he leaves to go be that piece somewhere else
I just feel like he's just getting tired of being out there
because, like, Julius Randle wasn't the move.
You know what I mean?
Like, they got to get somebody else to help in, like, production-wise
because he is doing way too much right now.
Like, obviously, you know, you have your superstars
and they're supposed to do what they're supposed to do.
You know what I mean?
But when it's a time where he's, like, he needs –
where he's getting triple teams sometimes and you need another scorer like yes jayden mcdaniel accepted
scoring game up nazri to set the scoring game up but julius randall was the person that they
traded for which i don't know if they really wanted to they just they thought that they were
going to be getting like this bull you know i mean like the the Like the old Lakers Julius Randle bull, like we're just going to be trying to
give them buckets
straight down low all the time and not even
shooting threes. Like we got a Julius Randle
who just shoots threes all the time now.
So that's why I'm like, I feel like
you have too many three-point
shooters on the team. Julius Randle, you
are a three, four, almost a five.
You can literally, he bullies five
sometimes. So that's why I'm like, stay in your role, do his thing.
And like, he could honestly,
if he went away from shooting threes
and, you know, getting back to the basket,
like, you know, picking roles
and even starting from the free throw line,
you know what I mean?
You're just facing up in the free throw line.
So Julius and Randall would probably average 25
with them easily, a solid 25.
And then that would help fucking Anthony Edwards all day long.
Like, that would make them such a dangerous team because you had Rudy Gobert back there.
Like, that's something like you got Jaden McDaniels on the wing who's a long-arm defender.
I'm like, they have the actual perfect team to win a chip.
It's just I don't know what it is.
I don't know what it is.
They just,
what Julius Randall is not the person that they need.
Julius Randall is not the person that they need.
I definitely think they thought he was going to have kind of a different
role there.
or at least the AD did Anthony Edwards did.
and maybe that's why there's not the right chemistry.
It's not like it's,
it's a complete bust,
but it's just not that graceful, you know,
for the love of the game type moving that you want to see out there.
How do you think they're going to do in the playoffs?
Depending on who they play, obviously they're a fifth seed right now.
I mean, they'd be playing, should the Lakers or whoever?
I mean, depending on how that – the Lakers or the Suns,
depending on how that swings.
But how do you think they're going to do in the –
do you think they'll be able to – can they get to the finals is what I'm saying?
Not the NBA finals, but the West Coast finals.
I don't know.
I mean, they should be able to.
I guess it matters about who that first matchup is.
If it's L.A., then I mean, I see that being a good series
and probably, you know, whoever wins game six probably taking it.
I don't know.
That could be – it just depends on home court advantage, I guess.
Timberwolves might beat them just because their defense is way better than Lakers right now.
It is definitely better.
And they have more of a rhythm of who they...
I don't know.
They're kind of both having identity crises right now,
so I'm not sure how that would work.
would work, but it would be interesting to see that as a first matchup.
It would be interesting to see that as a first matchup.
I think he'll get impatient if
he doesn't get to at least
the Western Conference Finals this year, and it'll be another
reason for him to think about going somewhere else.
Now, if he did go somewhere else, what do you think Anthony Edwards would fit in
obviously he can really fit in anywhere but like the best fit to like actually run the offense
and have the best pieces around him
oh yeah that's tough
oh man Yeah, that's tough. Oh, man.
Ball club, baby.
An NBA space.
Grateful marathon.
Squiddy diddy do.
We're vibing.
We're hanging out.
I'm still in Target.
You know, this is a... He speaks French, MF.
That's crazy.
Squiddy, tell him to put you on the speakerphone, on the loudspeaker,
and tell him that we're going to put the space on the loudspeaker if you don't mind.
I already asked, actually.
I already asked.
I'm like, guys, guys, we've got the Grateful Ape here.
The best Twitter space ever.
Over 57,000 followers.
Because as we all know, your followers
on X completely defines your self-worth.
So I have to put that one up there.
And make sure that it's known.
Listen, we've got the grateful eight.
But they didn't care.
They said no.
Squiddy, how do you think the Sixers are going to do, man?
Say, obviously, let's say Embiid plays, you know,
say he's playing and they don't put him on a minute restriction
for the next, like, 15 games, pretty much like rest of the season almost.
Nothing matters.
Nothing matters except the playoffs.
He said nothing matters.
So that's what I'm saying.
Like, if, say, they play – who's behind them right now?
The Raptors?
The Raptors are in front of them right now.
Oh, shoot. Okay. All right. Well, who's behind them?
So the Raptors will be playing Sixers probably, huh?
In like the 5-6?
Yeah, there's a decent chance.
Yeah, they might have a decent chance.
Do you think the Sixers can beat the Raptors in the seven-game series?
If Embiid is healthy, they can beat anybody.
Anybody, right?
That's what I'm saying.
Like, I really think so, man.
And honestly, I think it's going to come down to if Philly plays good for the next, like, you know, whatever.
So I feel like they can catch up to Cleveland and and all these other good teams like for sure i honestly if imbeads healthy i can see them
beating cleveland dude i can they can be any they can be anybody in the east just because their
guards are not saying that their guards are not better they have a more voluptuous amount of
guards on philly than they do on the sixers i
mean on the on the client on the calves like donovan mitchell and james harden we know james
harden's gonna fucking fall apart never play defense in the fucking playoff so you ain't
gotta worry about him but donovan mitchell will step it up a couple other guards but i feel i
really think that philly could beat cleveland and honestly i feel like philly could beat boston
if they really wanted to they're just honestly
that I'm sorry to say that LL but I just only if if if Embiid is healthy that's the only reason
why no one can stop them right now because it's such a big nightmare I yeah I mean we we match
up well been healthy Embiid has never been healthy in a playoff series I'm sorry Embiid has never been healthy in a playoff series. I'm sorry, Aspire.
Embiid has never been healthy in a playoff series.
I'm sorry, Aspire.
Look, at least Aspire, you know that Embiid's never been healthy,
so you got to worry about that.
So, I'm just saying, like, right now.
But if he is.
Well, right now, the funny thing is, look, he's actually healthy.
They're just doing a minute restriction on him.
So, he's really not.
They're playing, depending on what games he's playing,
they're literally thinking, like, if they're playing the Bulls, yeah, he's not playing.
If they're playing someone good, then they might put him in there.
But other than that, he's actually
been playing for the last like solid
actual like games. He's been playing
almost up to like 25, 30 minutes
a game, which is good. I just think they're just
really trying to prepare him for the playoffs
because the more wearing Terry has on
that knee, you know what I'm saying? Obviously, if he's not
going to be playing good, you're going to have a not healthy Embiid going into the playoffs.
Because like I said, right now he's healthy.
Like I said, they haven't said anything about him not actually being hurt or anything.
He's literally just been sitting out for the games that they just don't need him for.
It's literally all that matters is if Joel Embiid is healthy.
So obviously, you got to keep him in some sort of game form.
But if he's good to go for the playoffs series, watch out.
They're underdogs.
I would bet on them.
And if the Sixers play the Celtics in the playoffs,
and if Joel Embiid's fully healthy,
and I'm saying this right in front of a guy in a Celtics jersey,
which I'm doing it intentionally to see what his face is like.
Yeah, Celtics in six.
There you go, Celtics in six?
Hold on a second. I'm on my Twitter space, my NBA space. his face is like Celtics and six. Celtics and six.
Hold on a second.
I'm on my Twitter space,
my NBA space.
Do you want to put a,
you want to give us your thoughts as a Celtics fan?
No, just we own the Celtics.
We own the sixes in the playoffs
to begin with.
The Celtics do.
Did you hear that?
Did you hear that in the background?
We heard it.
We heard it.
That's big time facts.
Joel Embiid's never been healthy.
Did he say that Chuck was on his prime while playing for Celtics?
What did he say?
Yeah, but no, he has a point.
The Celtics have owned the Sixers, but Embiid's never been healthy.
Embiid's never been healthy, so it'll be fun to see.
They have no answer for Embiid.
You have no answer for healthy Embiid.
Vucevic can't guard a sock.
I'm not so sure to completely say Vuce doesn't match up at all. Especially with maybe how we saw them using Ada and Vuce.
I love the Celtics. They're just their team. They're who the Sixers should be. I hate the Sixers. I hate Josh Harris. I hate our owner.
They're who the Sixers should be.
I hate the Sixers.
I hate Josh Harris.
I hate our owner.
I like having Voochie Man 2, LL Cub, just because fucking he stretches the floor for them.
He is their Al Horford again.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, they actually got another Al Horford, which is nice.
And then having Cato back there.
Dude is fucking, he's pretty much their Wimby.
He blocks nothing, but he blocks everything.
The dude's a nightmare. He comes out of nowhere he blocks everything. He's the dude's a nightmare.
He comes out of nowhere with those energy too.
Like he actually gives you mass energy when he comes on the floor.
that's why I love about the Boston because Boston,
once again,
like we got to go back to it.
They picked the right fucking people and then the right bench to come off.
they honestly had everybody to replace somebody,
which is the perfect formula to win an NBA championship, which they proved many times before.
So that's what it's like. Yeah. Then playing, like I said, obviously, we're, you know, fingers crossed for a healthy Embiid, which would be, you know, everyone if, you know, Embiid playing is going to turn into a seven-game series altogether.
It for sure definitely will, but Boston will probably end up winning in the end just because of Boston's true pride and truemanship and being in the game and showing like –
because obviously we have B.J. Edgecombe who's really never been to the playoffs like that.
You know, Tyrese Maxey's never been that far in his life so that's what i'm saying so it just depends like
it's like i said yeah how imbeed's playing because imbeed's the only person on that team can actually
can show like hey i've been here i've done this blah blah he'd have to actually lead that team
but you have to have a healthy imbe so that's like betting on an ice cube staying alive in
hell for more than fucking two seconds.
Yeah, they definitely have to have him at his best
for that to even be a competitive series, in my opinion.
I mean, that's without JT coming back.
that's against this team that everybody counted out like i i just have a feeling that they're
That's against this team that everybody counted out.
gonna play up match up well with everybody being probably the number two seed and then
i don't know i don't know i just think uh they're looking good they're looking really hard to beat
the unit the coaching is like another huge thing that matters in this next month and all of april like you have to have uh be able to
lean on your coach and you know otherwise you've got egos out there and other shit that come into
play that fuck you up on a night that you needed to win and missoula doesn't have that shit he's a robot
dude coaching is so coach it shows up so much more you can't necessarily win
in the playoffs with coaching you know it's going to come down to the players but you can
absolutely lose a series due to due to bad coaching one million percent whether it's the
rotations when it plays you're not making the adjustments it's the n, what it plays, you're not making the adjustments. The NBA playoffs are all about adjustments
because when you find something that works offensively,
you just absolutely drill it.
You'll see teams run the same play five, six, seven times in a row
if they're getting what they need.
If it ain't broke?
If it ain't broke.
And listen, it's all about getting buckets.
So we know it would be Pistons and Boston pretty much in the East Finals.
I mean, not to match up.
Joel and Bede is healthy.
Yeah, I think that's probably safe, but we'll see.
I still like Cleveland.
I know what game I do want to see in the series.
Say fucking Charlotte makes it to the fucking eighth seed.
I would love to see Detroit and Charlotte, the first playoff series right away, yo.
That would be cool.
That would be tough. That'll be a fun scene exciting because it's like a new like a new one seed versus an up and coming
come eat seed
so oh this is crazy i can't believe i've been in a tarche this whole time what are you trying to get whenever like if i ever do something i love collecting cards right and there's never
anything there but like i drove by and i guess there's people like lined up in best buy i was
like oh let me go see if target's got something and they've got like a huge stock so like i'm
trying to get the whole tops chrome base set so i like ripping those
here and then they just there's a massive like so if i might even you know there's about like
30 people in front of me so who knows if there's gonna be any pokemon left but if i can get some
pokemon cards i'll be thrilled um and we'll see they got some one piece here uh but i specifically want some basketball and football
and if not you can always just get a bunch of a lot of scratchers no this is more fun
i actually collect no i do like i do like i do like to collect you know i love basketball i love
i love sports so i've collected cards my whole life. I like this class.
I don't sell them and shit.
Everything I buy,
Do you get anything graded?
I just got my first cards graded recently.
It was an awesome card.
It was a downtown Jalen Hurts,
AJ Brown, right after the Super Bowl.
First time I ever submitted something to get graded,
and I got an 8. I'm devastated.
I'm going to
break it and just keep it
not graded.
I was not happy
about that.
Especially now when you've got
a generational rookie
right now in Cooper Flagg.
I'm just trying to get as much Cooper Flagg shit as I can,
whether it's just base cards or variations or anything.
I think that that's going to play out really nicely because this guy's like
Mr. America, right?
They went, they went, they pretty much shutting down Cooper flag too.
Damn near, you know, they're like, Hey, we don't need you to play against this
team, this team, this team, or this team.
So you can just chill.
Put your street clothes on.
You've done enough.
We need you to be prepared for next season when Kyrie and everybody's back.
The kid's 19 years old.
I mean, dude, that'd be crazy if Luka ended up going back to Dallas,
you know, if in general.
Mark Cuban's coming back, bro.
Luka's coming back.
Derek is coming back.
It's going to be crazy here.
Eric Dempier is coming back, you know.
But I saw a podcast with a guy, you know, from Czech that he's playing for Portland right now.
And I didn't know about it.
Portland is a team that flies the most
because it's the furthest from all the other teams, right?
And he was like, most of our flights,
it's like four or five plus hours,
which is absolutely nuts, right?
Can you imagine that he was like, man, when I was in Atlanta,
you know, we usually took off around like 2 p.m
and now they they go like three hours earlier uh to fly to another city so that that stuff damn i
didn't know about it and it's absolutely crazy it's absolutely crazy and also shows the business
because he said that he when he was traded he was in miami and he didn't make it back to Atlanta he just joined Portland
and I don't know a few months ago he was traded right or maybe a month or two and he didn't make
it back home he still doesn't have a house he's in a hotel or apartment so it's kind of brutal man
they trade you and and you leave everything you have behind and and you go wherever you have to, man.
It's crazy.
That's the trait of the business, especially when you're a rookie.
Rookie sophomores, yo, they just be renting.
Usually rent right away, yo, because they don't know when and if.
You know what I mean?
They could be getting dropped down to a 10-day contract.
You could be sent down to the G League.
There's all types of stuff that goes on, man.
It's the true business of that shit.
You're just real cutthroat, honestly. So you just got to be like if you're not if you're not a you don't mean a mainstream star you wasn't coming in and like a mainstream star
you pretty much need to have your bag packed you know i mean like all the time because like
all these big stars when they get traded they're you going in a fucking package you know i mean
like all these other teams may need something too so you might be leaving that team to go to another team then if that team don't need
you someone else gonna buy you out you about to go there so sometimes i do one of my homies i've
seen that fool get traded like what he got traded twice in one year then the next year he got traded
so yeah he rented his place in phoenix he rented his place in phoenix then rented a place in
milwaukee then rented a place in tex then rented a place in Texas. Oh yeah.
So he, I already know it's like I said, it's just right now it's cutthroat.
If you're not averaging and doing like, you know what I mean?
Like real numbers where you're like on the starting five and the coach is
calling your number and the players are being called for you or just in
general, you know what I'm saying? Like, yeah,
you might as well get your bags back, you know, like even like, it's crazy.
Like you can think that the, the i'll say like jonathan isaac is a perfect example honestly on this on the
on the orlando magic you know the dude averages three points a game is getting paid like 28 million
you know it is and he's staying he's staying so that obviously they mean that he's he's worth
something because they call him the minister of defense. And if
you ain't got a specialty
in something coming into the league,
you are getting ready to get your ass
sensed somewhere else where they might
not need you. And honestly, to
the point where you can get sent so many places
where they're like, oh shit, we don't need this guard.
Let's send them somewhere else. Well, that person
don't need you. So now you're at a point where your agent
can't find you nothing. Now you're overseas a point where your agent can't find you nothing.
Now you're overseas.
We got some great hoops in Liberia.
Defense wins championships.
Again, everyone, every single person in the NBA was scoring 25,
30 points a game in high school, right?
They were all, all, again, wherever they were.
So got to find a niche.
And when it comes to the playoffs, this is where people make their money. You have one good playoff where you're just being a lockdown guy
or you're just crashing,
getting three, four, five offensive rebounds a game.
That's where you make your money.
Because you've got to be something special.
Be the KDs, the LeBrons, the Steps, right?
Those are the top of the top, and most people are not like that
and they'll never get to that level.
So it's fascinating stuff and the whole concept of team building.
And, yeah, it's good stuff.
Squiddy, what about my boy Jonathan Kaminga and Ben Matherin?
Both showing their ass right now.
Bro, that was a ball-knower comment.
Kaminga, you know, Peacock.
Jonathan Peacock, Kaminga.
And then spread his wings, and he found a perfect little spot in Atlanta.
Perfect spot, man.
That's such an athletic team.
I'm like, dude, you fit right in, yo.
Like, C.J. McCollum being the vet on that team.
Like, you have Jalen Johnson.
Like, oh, dude, they're going to be – there'll be something to look after for next year for sure.
Because, like I said, I'm sure they've got a couple guards that they're looking at in the draft.
It's going to be fascinating.
And this is where you see some fun stuff when it comes to silly season, right?
Silly season when teams are tanking, young guys are playing,
the ones who are not making the playoffs are starting to see,
okay, who do we got for next year?
Who can we build on, right?
Who's going to be that defensive stopper?
Who's someone that we can rely on to try and put a better product out for our fans?
So, what's up, Baron?
I see you down there.
What's going on?
Spectre in the house.
E-Money been hanging with us.
Zane, welcome.
G-Money still down there.
It's probably nobody.
By the way, grateful.
Your shout-outs have gotten fantastic, by the way.
I've noticed an improvement in the shoutouts.
It's fantastic.
I copy traded you, bro.
I copy traded you and it worked.
It worked in shoutouts.
It didn't work in crypto, but in shoutouts it worked.
I was like, it makes you proud and i've seen everyone
you know more people are doing all like the shout outs because listen you're taking the time
out of your day to hang out with the space so being able to like say what's up like i recognize
you i see you i appreciate you uh it goes along it goes a long way and you are uh you're the best
shout out it's unbelievable.
And I want to shout you out, man.
I want to shout out Grateful.
I want to shout out Marathon.
This is so fun that we get to talk hoop every single Friday together.
Man, it'll be a lot more fun when we've got the playoffs coming up.
But it's just an absolute blast being able to talk ball, hang out, shoot the shit. Squiddy, what do you think about the Spurs playing a full healthy OKC
in the seven-game series?
Give me your pick.
What do you think?
I don't have a pick.
I will just be there with a basketball boner.
So I'm going to just be watching the best basketball of all time.
I would just be watching the best basketball of all time.
That seven-game series is true basketball porn.
That's going to be good.
That's what I'm saying.
Look, Detroit and Charlotte, I would love to watch.
And then fucking OKC and the Spurs.
Run that for sure all day.
Both teams healthy.
Yeah, run that.
And we're not even talking about the seven-game series with Kevin Durant.
You know, like, have fun trying to beat him four times.
You know, have fun trying to beat the new face of the NBA,
Anthony Edwards, in a seven-game series.
That guy is a dog.
And you forget the Timberwolves.
They were just in the Western Conference Finals, what, two years ago?
And they're always just a tough out.
They have the perfect team. They have the perfect team.
They have the perfect team, yo. I just really think that
they need Julius Randle to step his production up.
You got KD. We got
Jaden McDaniels.
They have a
perfect... Jaden McDaniels
is a lockdown defender on the wing.
He's got a seven fucking five wingspan.
I'm like, dude, they have a great squad.
Like, they have the perfect recipe to actually win a chip.
It's just like, what do you see that's holding them back?
You know what I'm saying?
Like, Anthony Edwards can't be stopped.
He's demanding fucking triple teams.
He's so fun, man.
He is so freaking fun.
Well, guys, we are like 70 minutes into the space.
Um, I don't really have much more to say.
What about you guys? Are we ready to, we're going to wind this thing down a little bit?
I just want to say, did you see Cody Williams fucking house?
Fucking what's his name last night? Oh my God. From Utah?
I did not.
I haven't seen highlights last night.
Cody Williams
had a monster dunk last night.
Like, monster.
Yo, that shit was filthy.
I'm going to have to
check it out.
I was on the call, but I definitely wanted to have to check it out. Yes, sorry.
I was on the call,
but I definitely wanted to tap in and just say,
I'm super appreciative of this space as well.
It's part of the reason I'm still in CT is because of Twitter spaces and
connecting with people.
I believe it's super important to,
to make relationships and have community.
And this is just an extension of that, right?
We have a passion for NFTs.
That's amazing.
We also have a passion for basketball.
There's another one.
And then you build on that and compound on small things that bring you together as people that are imperfect.
And it's just fun, man.
And there's not a lot of fun stuff that happens
and it's not all bad either. I'm not saying that, but it's just not as fun when the market's like
it is. And the reality of the world is what it is right now. So anything we can have to bring us a
little joy and a little distraction. And even though I should be working right now, like I
need this for my own mental health to, to take places, to take part in this,
to talk some shit about,
your favorite squads and,
get the back talk.
It's just fun.
It's good morale.
Everybody needs a little fellowship in their life.
And I'm just,
I appreciate you boys for,
for keeping me,
popping these up and being consistent.
I appreciate that,
You're my guy.
I always love having you up and always grateful when you come up and show up and hang out, man.
This is what it's all about.
So this is what it's all about.
And I used to always tweet slash engagement farm, community is everything.
I got to start doing that again, too.
But it is the truth, right?
Like money comes and goes, everything goes.
But like we're on this earth to form connections with human beings, right?
on this earth to
form connections with human beings, right?
And so, whatever
small roles you can play with the people around
love. Grateful, you got anything as
we wrap this up?
Just one thing. Damn,
I fucked up and I missed
the... I hope the
pronunciation is like Huarachi.
Do you know Huarachi 2k4 the
shoes the sneakers? Oh the Huarachis? Yeah 2k4s they released them recently I
wanted to get them because I play a lot in them ah you know they were 2k4 2k5
and then Kobe first right with Nike and I miss them and they don't have my size so it sucks and if you want to get them
I think they are like 500 bucks. So yeah, what a crazy day
Cool story, bro
That's good
But I was really sad guys. I was really sad guys
I was really sad you know
I put that dunk in the purple pill
let me pin it to the top
Cody White
yeah he got him a nice body
that's a body and a half what are you talking about Oh, oh, whoa. Yeah, he got him a nice body.
That's a body and a half.
What are you talking about?
Cody Williams.
Jalen Williams.
Jalen Williams is a little brother from...
I thought you were talking about my 3D avatar, Pamela Henderson in the other side.
You know, I created and the body is also not bad. So, you know, I was like, yeah, maybe he, maybe he minted, you know, I don't know.
So, all right, everyone. Thank you so much for joining another great space here live from Target.
The line has not moved. If anyone's interested in an update, they are still stocking them up.
I think you need to take more of a Beast Games approach
to that line and start bribing people to get out of it
or telling them,
hey, is your car being towed right now?
Really get your mind into it.
By the way, Beast Games is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
It's so bad.
It's like, let's shine a light
on what makes
all of our society shit it's so it's entertaining though i'm sorry so stupid um just like and some
of these people too like oh you know i i know i'm seeing some videos i'll be the same thing like
all right i would i would absolutely do whatever i can to to be a leader and you know i think i
would be fine with that right and i get people's trust and as soon as i get up there to be a leader. I think I would be fine with that, right? And I get people's trust. And as soon as I get up there to take a million bucks
and eliminate the rest of my team,
I'm taking that as fast as I can.
I'm not making any drama too.
I'm going up there.
I'm pushing that button faster than anyone's pushed the button
in their entire life.
And you're yelling Ape Chain on top.
And I'm yelling Ape Chain on top.
And I'm fisting everyone out there on the way.
Yeah. So I don't think that million is going to cover all those fisting sexual assault cases.
No, there's no assault cases, you know, it's just consensual. Sorry. Consensual fisting.
Consensual fisting. So that got some looks in line.
You are in target that's right not only am i in target i'm literally in line there's like 50 people in line now
so all right well thanks everybody what an absolute joy i'm gonna socialize with uh
some card collectors here and and because I can't help myself.
So maybe that's the way too. I just start talking to people and then they're like,
you know what? I don't want to deal with this guy. I'm getting out of here.
You could probably get him away from you real quick if you start mentioning NFTs.
Good start. Yeah, Mike. NFTs, Sport Apes, Safe Chain. Nope.
But it looks like I'm actually gonna be able to get some Pokemon
cards which is cool. I'm definitely getting some football which is the main reason I came.
Some basketball. It's nice to see a little restock. I've never been here for a restock
before so I'm definitely going to drop some peach. You know, perfect time as I'm unemployed.
But what are you gonna do? Better than a lottery ticket.
Okay, one more thing thing squid before we wrap up
being unemployed is crazy advantage in the ai era because those mfers that are hustling every day
at work they have no time to actually setting up their open clause and clawed and everything so
bro being unemployed it's a cheat code man You are setting up yourself for the bright future and
you know, anyway, next year that there will be zero jobs, we all be unemployed and
in 10 years, I don't know man, we just gonna be getting money and cars and sneakers and everything, bro, so
we good, just chill, you know.
We gotta talk. I gotta set up how to set up my open claw.
I don't know what computer to do it on.
You don't need a computer. Just do VPS, bro.
Very pornographic server. Yeah, it's great, man.
Set it up and start sharing stuff and, you know.
Alright, done.
I do need to pick your brain on some of the AI stuff too,
because we should start building some cool stuff.
Like a Honeyball movie?
You can pick my brain whenever you want, bro.
And I know Baron's got a pretty cool group which I'm in but I have not really been reading.
Oh, I'm not in, bro.
Get me in.
Hey, Baron, let's get grateful in this group.
I'm pretty sure it was Baron's group.
Vibe code the world.
So, thank you, everybody.
Much love and appreciation.
Have a great weekend.
