Yeah, the thing is that I've always noticed about your community
because I've been seeing you guys in the space for a little bit
and watching how you guys are growing, how you're moving moving is you guys already have that meme or not meme coin the
nft community type of vibe you know you guys are already creating art doing these fun like gifts
and memes on people and just super engaging and that's not like very typical in like meme coin
communities unless you're like pepe and you've already made so much
money that's like you're turning into this like pepe degen you know but this is a little different
with you guys because you guys are starting off small you guys are kind of building from the
ground up and i think it's great i think it's great because when you're going to have both
when you get into the nfts and they do well then people can go back and like oh i also want to support the coin i also want to you know invest a little in peanut and then you start
using that on the nfts to kind of help drive your coin and they kind of help each other
so i think it's a perfect time for it i think if you're a meme coin only right now you don't have
anything to do with nfts like the next step up in Web3, I think it's going to be a little more difficult for you to navigate.

just weren't going to accept so we decided we were basically going to do a little crowd fund within
our own community to get going and started completely from scratch so every piece of
the project is completely new we've been building building this for, on the art side,
a year and a half now.
And up to now, we've been quite quiet
because we very much believe that, you know,
NFTs as crowd funders don't work anymore.
People haven't got that trust in the space.
So we want a product that's ready to release
and available to people when they mint,
not it's coming and it never does.
Unfortunately, there's been too much of that in the past.
But basically, we're avatar builders.
So we've built an avatar.
We're going to launch through the medium of NFTs.
But these are not just PFPs.
These are 3D avatars.
The minters will get their files.
We've been accepted into Futureverse's UBF program,
so we're building using Universal Blueprint Framework.
That's a piece of software that Futureverse has built out,
and that's basically enabling avatars built to a certain standard
to be accepted into games via a simple SDK plugin.
Rather than having to upload a new software version or a patch to a game, it basically
pulls from the data layer and draws your character that you own in your wallet into that game.
So FN has been built around what Futureverse is doing, and they're very much, we're not building the metaverse, you are.
And, you know, it rings very, very true.
Everything that they've been doing in the background, although there's been a lot of fun and a lot of frustration, it's now coming to light.
It's starting to appear on the timeline, all the stuff they've been doing.
And we've been part of that.
So, you know, really, really exciting. The Rexes themselves were made to look similar to the
J-Punk collection, but better. Certainly in our opinion, they're better. And there's lots of
challenges when it comes to games. So when you've got a game and you're saying, well, there's this
pirate game and an indie dev wants to drop this SDK in
and we can put our avatar in there.
It's got to look to the part for that game.
There's no point having a spaceman in a pirate game.
So again, we're utilising Future vs Tech with swappables.
So these avatars are going to have
interchangeable clothing outfits.
Some of them will be additional mints. Some of them will be additional mints,
some of them will be free earnables for people who engage within our project.
And it's just going to keep growing. The wardrobe of collectibles within future parts is just going
to grow and grow. We're already looking at projects, I saw Stardog's in her element. They're still there, but we're looking at Income Island,
the Readyverse with Futureverse.
But literally any game built in Unreal or Unity can use this SDK
and use Rex as the avatar within their game,
if it's PC or Mac base.
So basically if it's capable of the graphic standard
that we've done, not mobile at the moment,
but we could downgrade our textures if we needed to.
So huge amount of work going on.
We've just started releasing some of the skins.
Huge reception to it.
Everyone's loving it, which is great.
We're all the last hand downstairs.

but you can get your file, you can do animation.
There's so much that can be done.
And as for the name, well, the name came from the community.
A lot of the stuff while we've been building
has been community driven.
So we really want the community to be part of this.
So they came up with a name.
They've created AI versions of Wrecks.
And some of those traits are going to go into the clothing and the seasons.
Just like Fortnite, there's going to be seasons of different collectibles for people to just keep building that wardrobe.

is the
CTO NFT project.
So you guys, what actually happened with that?
So we get a little background on how you guys CTOed this.
So we tried to CTO.
Basically, I had a meeting with a team from MetaLabs,
who originally had the Jpunks,
and they'd already announced they were closing. So we wanted to take it over with the original from MetaLabs who originally had the JPunks and they'd already
announced their closing so we wanted to take it over with the original collection on ETH.
Now there was a lot of negotiation primarily around discussions around IP and that people
were promised IP and they owned each one and all of these things and in the end a deal came back
and all of these things.
And in the end, a deal came back,
but it basically said that reading between the lines,
we could run it as a non-profit,
and that wasn't going to allow any growth moving forward.
In order to go into these things,
we needed money to make marketing and all of these things.
So we politely declined.
And those conversations were very polite and very productive.
But ultimately, the community deserved better.
And that's what we did.
I kind of led it because I'm in the UK, and so was that team.
So it kind of made sense that someone UK-based led
that negotiation.
And from that, we basically said, oh, OK, we
will look at what is the IP of what
the J-Punks were, and we will rebuild. And we won't infringe on their IP. We won't use any of
their stuff, even though we owned about 98% as a community of the files. But we literally scrapped
that and started from scratch, employed a top artist to build out the initial recs.
And then we've been adding to that as we go,
building out all the skins and the clothing items
and things which are yet to come.
So yeah, let's say a huge amount of work,
huge amount of effort,
but yeah, this community is 100% worth it
and we've always wanted their input.
So, yeah, that's how it came about.
And unfortunately, when we use the word rug, you know, sometimes it's better to say mismanaged or not correct product fit.
It's kind of like a blanket term we all use.
But sometimes we need a little more clarification, some more specific things of what exactly happened because
there's such a wide range of what people will call a rug you know yeah it depends if the intent at
the end of the day some some some projects just run out of money that that's you know poor management
um but regardless it didn't help the holders of the J-Punk.
But yeah,
we're bringing it back.

yeah man i'm the same way i'm infamous lurker i've been doing that i lurked on martech for
months before i even talked to him yeah with a lot of people just to kind of check out the
personality as the days go.

Sometimes you jump in the space and you're like, I feel bad jumping into a space and then jumping out of it.
So I'll jump in anonymously, see if it's a cool spot.

You get used to speaking on spaces, though, after a while.
So I did want to talk about the dead ducks.
I'll try to make it fast, go through a background on myself and then the project.
Born and raised in California, San Francisco Bay Area.
Currently, I'm an architectural designer.
I have my own business doing custom homes.
I do homes from San Cruz, California up to the Napa Valley.
And just kind of work for myself,
get to pick and choose my projects. So working from home has been really cool, especially
Spaces. They've taken over podcasts. I don't listen to podcasts anymore. I'm in Spaces all
the time now while I work. So that's been super cool. I've been in crypto for a while
and Dead Ducks is technically my second NFT project. It is all me. I drew everything.
I market everything. I visit the website. I'm doing everything on this project. It's a thousand
percent my project and me. And so the Dead Ducks, I've poured my heart into it, my love of NFTs. I am a huge NFT fan for years, just kind of casually an NFT fan.
But Dead Ducks has thrown my hat in the ring, my paying homage to CryptoPunks, to Bored Apes, to Pudgy Penguins, Azuki, like all of these cool NFT projects.
uh azuki like all of these cool nft projects i just wanted to be part of it so i grew up
collecting comics into photography into drawing and into sci-fi and movies and all that kind of
stuff and so kind of blended all of those things when i thought of doing the dead ducks it really
was kind of taking all of those things that i love, crypto music, comics, anime, sci-fi, and the dead ducks came out of it.
So the origin story for the ducks is Future AI resurrects this abandoned labs project that had all these dead ducks, but it's corrupted with a crypto trader's wallet.
but it's corrupted with a crypto trader's wallet.
So these dead ducks are resurrected, all glitched out, half dead,
and kind of come with a degen spirit from that crypto trader's wallet.
So the idea behind the ducks is, you know what?
Life happens.
Scars, things happen.
You get burned, you get wrecked.
You get all kinds of things that can try to kill you.
But some of us refuse to die, and that's what the dead ducks is all about, is that refusal to die, that refusal to quit,
and that constant feeling of that you're going to get back up. You shake yourself off and keep going.
So the dead ducks really are kind of like represent that DGEN spirit.
A lot of us have seen our wallets go down to zero, seen that in real life, seen that in crypto.
And so the dead ducks really are just kind of embracing that. Our motto, kind of our unofficial
slogan is pain vades, but persistence pays. And I think that stands for a lot of things in life. So again,
that art is all hand drawn. I absolutely love my project. I'm putting everything that comes
into this project back into the project, treating this like a business. So I have a couple things
in the work. We're working on tabletop card game we just announced we're also working on uh merchandising and then i'm i'm looking into
i really feel like the the dead ducks can be an ip almost like teenage mutant ninja turtles type
of ip i really see them as cartoons comics i can see them being more than just nfts so grinding So grinding away on this. We're at 540 minted out of 3,333.
And we have some more assets that are going to be coming for the holders coming up soon.

uh with the x-men comics and spider-man and all of those comics we used to have growing up. So I am very passionate
about it. To me, I've thrown everything I can into the traits, try to even all the traits or
kind of have a backstory. Nothing is named. It's not just a hammer. It's called a nest smasher.
They have their own color names of what a dead duck would name things. And so,
man, I'm trying to build a world here and i i just hope people can see what
i'm trying to do and appreciate it no i appreciate it i like the art i think this is going to go far

Like, I was thankfully one of the first creators to mint NFTs, you know, so I feel like a boomer in this space. But I think that, you know, we just don't have the IP right now that's getting everybody's attention and what what is nfts now like is it still art like it was back then is it you
know focusing on utility like i want to see where nfts are like something so easy for people to
create and where people are just able to be their own art gallery again be their own record label
like really like enhance defi to like your life life and make it part of your lifestyle.
And I just think with the applications we have right now, the ease of use is just not there.
And so I really hope that does increase because I do root for NFTs.
I think NFTs are absolutely amazing.
I was actually thinking of starting to mint NFTs, but where's the liquidity now?
Like, do we have too many blockchains? Do we have not enough to where, like I said, like it's accessible to the mainstream?
So that's currently how I feel about it. I mean, NFT NYC, the last time I went was
not anything that I really loved. And I felt like NFT NYC was kind of losing the plot
of like what they're there for. And it went for like more of
like a money thing than it was about the experience. And I think that's the problem with a lot of
conferences nowadays is just like there is no education. So it's like you're walking into all
these conferences, you're paying like what $500 a ticket, for example. And what are you getting
out of it if you're completely new? Like you're going to see all these panels and stuff, but it's only if you know about crypto and NFTs already. Like where are
the NFTA 101s? Like how to mint an NFT? Like I literally have done those workshops, but we need
more of them. How to mint an NFT? How do you open a wallet? What blockchains have certain projects
on it? How do you go from one blockchain to another? Like, this is key education that even
I think probably 80% of people in crypto don't know. That means like, the whole world has no
idea. So I think we need to get back on the plot of adoption, education, and what this all means.
Because if we educate more people, the light bulb goes off off and then they're going to want to start investing not only their money, but their time and energy into the space.
To answer your other question. Yes, I have been on mainstream media. I go on Newsmax quite often.
Fox Business. I've been going on since I was like 17 or 18 years old with Charles Payne. So shout out to him. He's the man.

point of the cycle who are paying money to be there already know how to do these things so it makes more sense to want to onboard people um in the city so i like what

could start seeing more of that it'll bring more people into crypto and actually just be more prone
to like want and learn about it and attend these events so So big on that as well. And then the thing with NFTs you mentioned
as far as like utility and art,
I think with this cycle,
the projects that will do exceedingly well

are coming up with like more creative ways to do so with with adding some kind of value to it besides just the music.

They're just not bullish enough.
It's weird because it does feel like a little bearish when we're at $107K Bitcoin.
And everything on the, I don't know, it just feels different than when the last cycle really started back in 2020, 2021.

cyclical it does come in cycles but it's always similar but it's the same as well too so yeah

you could look at the volume going back like probably till the beginning of the coinbase

He came up with all of this idea one day He wanted to hand draw an entire nft collection as you can see
If you look at my profile and you see any of the pictures of the dundies posted on there
All hand-drawn colored pencils sharpies markers, whatever the case may be
He used it on uh paper tin foil all
different mediums of art here and then cut them all out individually had them stacked and whatnot
and put them all into the generator and generator generated these beautiful pfps that we all have
right here um the collection was originally almost named sharpies um because of the method in which he
created the collection but then he was watching re-watching the office he got to the point where
it was michael scott and the dundies and he kind of just resonated with how you know everybody in
the beginning with the dundies they all thought they were worthless they were stupid everyone was
like michael scott's an idiot but then by the end of the show everybody cherished their dundee like it was you know made of solid gold and it was a very
important thing to them so it's kind of where the idea came from we were a free mint in january of
this year at the end of the year or at the end of the month so we've only been around and moving
up here for about four four months or so roughly roughly. And so that's where we started. We started as a free mint, launched by NFT.
We're on Solana.
And now we are at a little bit lower than our usual,
like a 0.4-something floor.
But, you know, if you look at the chart,
