Welcome to community call number 32.
I'm ecosystem director.
Thanks so much for joining us again for another ecosystem.
We're just what would fit under the title of ecosystem.
So thanks for joining us.
As I've mentioned in the chat, please drop any questions.
If you don't want to wait to ask them.
You're welcome to come up at the end and ask questions as well.
But we've got plenty to cover.
It's been very, very busy from Europe to Hong Kong to Miami.
We've had events and all kinds of different goings on at Omniti Network.
So thanks so much for joining us tonight.
And, you know, today and wherever you are, GM, of course,
it's the sort of standard around here.
So we've been active in a couple of different spaces.
And as usual, we're reaching a much larger audience
in order to grow the social mindshare and the technologic mindshare that is interoperability for runes, making great headway.
And we're going to tell you about some of that.
Here, we've got a lineup of our top, you know, participants, contributors.
you know, participants, contributors.
And of course, leading off the call,
we have our chief architect, Julian.
Julian and I are available to chime in
and tell us what's up for the April community call.
Yes, thank you, Sheldon.
Hello, everyone.
I will give a quick update on the development teams
progress last month.
Some of our team members, including Luis K.
JULIAN KUANGANIUOVSKY- I think
you might be on hardware mute.
See if I'm muted.
Can you hear me?
OK, we'll come back in just a second.
We'll have some technical difficulties.
Guys, if it's me, if I'm the one who can't hear Julian
please give me a nudge okay okay I'll be right back sorry to interrupt. All right. So then, please go on.
Our team are in Hong Kong for the RE events we hosted.
Our development team and I gave live demos showing how to build Bitcoin layer 1, landing dev, and layer two, game on RE. We are also working on a third RE dev on NFT-related application.
These three devs were the main focus for the dev team
on the RE project last month.
While building them, we also cleaned up the code base
and started creating front-end and back-end SDKs to help simplify future REE deployment.
We are also working on the REE developer guide.
It's about 50% done now and should be completed in the next few days.
As for re-swap, we've published the source code and the audit report.
All findings from the audit have been fixed.
Additionally, we've added support for P2SH addresses and the OKEx wallet.
And we also launched a portfolio page where users can view their assets.
That's all for me.
Thank you so much, Julian.
There's a lot to be said for refinement and for the new portfolio page. So thank you so much for filling us in there. And I apologize for cutting you off there in the beginning issue like that, but that's okay. We make do. So I'll take
the mic next and give you guys some ecosystem updates. I'll keep it relatively tight because
it's been a lot and I can't talk about as much as I would like to. But what I can say is that
interest for RE is growing and demand for the, you know, not just SDKs, but for more,
you know, testing with the materials already available. There's a lot to be said about new
partners that see the value in ICP and Bitcoin together. So I think that's been a really
productive few weeks. There's partnerships
that I can't talk about yet. There's a few of them that have sort of paused before going live
for other reasons. But there are Solana tokens, there are SocialFi projects, there are GameFi
projects that are looking at, you know, hey, how can we integrate Runes data in a meaningful and
streamlined way? And we've been able to, you know, meet that demand and a lot of interesting
partner negotiations. So aside from that, we've also considered some engagement with BTC5
accelerators. I'll personally be contributing down in Miami with some of the, I believe it's,
it's not Lightning Labs, but it's one of the founders of Lightning Labs who's doing some
venture work down here. And I've been able to get alignment from Purple Horizons and ICP and some
other good local organizations to have investor meetups in Miami.
So aside from the events that I'll touch on just briefly,
we have a lot of new relationships to grow the organization
because BTC Phi is still very successful in gaining market share.
There's a lot to be said of the value of security on Bitcoin
that is different from the purge or the surge or the scourge or whatever is happening next on
Ethereum. So I think there's a lot of other positive things I could highlight about the
blockchain that OCT was originally created on. But there is also a very significant rising instinct
to use Bitcoin as a source of truth,
as secure block space, and as a tool for tokens.
So there's a larger Bitcoin meme coin arc
that you may notice if you see the Omniti account in Spaces.
That's what we like to do in Spaces
is give a chance to the projects that come from launch pads, the projects that are trying to, you know, develop their community and maintain a utility of some type.
We try to engage with interesting projects on Spaces as well. So I think that's been going very positively and we'll continue to do that.
positively and we'll continue to do that. So if you are in the Telegram group and you see that
I've reposted the spaces that we're joining or Kim's reposted the spaces that we're joining,
then yeah, we're either looking to just contribute and do some market research or
we'll jump on stage and see what we can do to learn from the folks on stage. So without further
ado on the ecosystem side, I want to
transition over to media. If I could ask our chief editor, Zan, to chime in. Zan, are you available to
chime in about the last few weeks? Yeah. Can everyone hear me? All good? Yep. Yep. Very clear.
All right. Hi, everyone. Thanks for joining us tonight. As usual, I've dropped our March monthly updates
in the nest. Look for the eyeball emoji. So a lot of what we referenced tonight can also be found
in written form if you missed something. So yeah, in my corner, March was quite buzzy in the San
Francisco Bay Area for DFINITY and Omnity. On the 13th. I was invited to speak on a panel
for the future of tech AI and Web3
with a really diverse group of individuals representing AI.
There was a blockchain law and regulation attorney there,
an AI engineer, and a VC.
So we got different perspectives on this panel
to discuss like real world web three and AI
applications, the challenges of mainstream adoption, evolving regulatory landscape,
and growth strategies, and most specifically how these technologies are shaping our future. Yeah.
Then on the 19th, I represented Omniddy again at the East San Francisco event,
I represented Omnity again at the East San Francisco event where it was Web 3 and AI
gaming hour.
And I gave a brief overview of ICP Chain Fusion, introduced Omnity and the Ruins Exchange
environment.
And then we did some rich swap demos.
And people were really, really blown away when seeing the transactions across the meme
pool. It was really inspiring to see me
speak with so many people that are interested in how Omniti integrates with ICP infrastructure.
And I'm happy that ICP Hub's North American Alliance is now focusing more on the West Coast.
These events drew a lot of attention from the audience. They were really like excited.
And it culminated in some potential partnerships, hopefully.
If you're interested in either of these events, you can read more.
There's press releases at the bottom of the monthly updates
under the media section on each of them.
And yeah, it was quite a month.
So I think that's it for me. Once again,
thanks for joining the Omni team tonight. And I look forward to next month's community call.
Thank you so much, Zan. Appreciate you joining us. Unfortunately, I missed a small chunk in the
middle. But I think Spaces is just having a ride with me tonight because I'm getting some of the updates and some of the updates I'm going to duck out and duck back in.
But we're going to keep it going.
So we'll ask who's behind the main account today.
Cesar, can you give us a short update on socials?
I think we've been getting some good engagement
on the reply guy side and we've obviously been active
in spaces as I mentioned,
but can you give us a rundown on the tooling
and optimizations?
We've been doing a little bit more automation.
I'll give you a chance to speak on that.
Yes, hi, sure.
Hi everyone. Thanks for joining us today.
Well, as you mentioned, we are covering the most platforms, social platforms that we can
in this month.
Well, in the past month, we added thread.
So we hope to be where the community is. Also, we are creating some video content so we can schedule some
short videos or clips where the community, where the core team has been speaking in some of our
major events this last month. Well, as you mentioned, mentioned too we are using some social platforms tool to help us
to monitor and to cover all the well all the updates on OmniTRE, Reswap and our major events.
and our major events.
Well, also, there is a big something for us.
Maybe we haven't mentioned it yet,
but we have crossed over the 100 followers on X.
Well, I think that that's important.
Well, that would be all from SI.
Back to you, Sheldon.
Sheldon. I think Sheldon dropped out for a minute.
Are you there?
Yes, I have just approved the request.
I'm glad that I knew that Cesar was giving his update because, yeah, Spaces is not being kind to me today.
I'm not sure what's going on. My network connection is fine.
But life happens sometimes, So we keep it going.
Cesar, thank you so much for giving your update. I'm sorry that I couldn't hear it adequately, but that's OK.
I'll catch up with the recording later. Kim, are you available to speak about the recent event? And, you know, I've seen you having some some some great fun out there in the field and we've been on a couple of Tuesday night spaces.
I'm glad that I could make it out to the Chill Cafe.
Hey, hey, Jaden.
Yep, GM, everyone.
I'm here to just share some updates about what's happening on March
and also the reason uh technical salon um
build the next odin fund so just an update about the event itself uh i think to us is a success
um good turnout rate um it's full house uh fully seated and and with all the speakers sharing as well.
And from the event itself, I think there's a few takeaways.
So for EarthGrowth team-wise, our main target is actually to grow the adoption of REE
and also overall the TVL of it.
And so what we see is that we get to connect with the attendees,
which is the RuneS community, which launched their tokens on Odin Fund.
And they have real demand of RE itself.
So what we need to do is more towards to push the adoption
and also to get them familiarized with rich
swap as well so um i think some of them are like first time seeing rich swap working on
live with louis demoing so i think this also opens up a lot of um image um the how to actually buy runes from their perspective.
So I think this is a great impact as well.
And then for us, we also attended events from OKEx and also Xverse,
both of the biggest wallets that supported us.
So I think the events are happening I think we saw a
lot of KOL's being there and also I think that's the the most happening event
throughout so far and the the wipe itself for the whole Web3 Festival is quite a bit down, of course, with the market sentiment.
And then for the other events coming up, I think not much of Bitcoin events.
So we just hop on to other ecosystems to see DeFi protocols that potentially can jump into RE as well.
So a bit of updates from spaces.
Yeah, so have weekly spaces Tuesday night with Sheldon as well.
Thanks for joining and then joining Bitcoin startup spaces.
And also ICP Hub Spaces as well
to share about RE and RitSwap.
And also thanks to DFINITY Foundation
with Herbert attending our technical salon,
and also James from ICP Hub China
to give us support as well.
So we will be attending their event on the 9th,
which is tomorrow.
So that's from me.
Thanks so much, Kim.
I'm always jealous that I can't make it out to Hong Kong, but I know there's a lot more going on.
You know, there's not just events in Hong Kong, but, you know, the Web3 Festival sounds like a lot of fun.
And, you know, I'm glad we had a great response and a great turnout for the event.
You know, there's a statement about the market that we've been joking about on Twitter, which is that there is a new Bitcoin block every 10 minutes. And, you know, tomorrow might be a new day because, you know, permissioned markets are going to open and close.
But there is always a new block every 10 minutes.
So I think it's nice to keep looking forward as the market is down.
And it's great to see the most serious people are still out here because even though the, you know, market is bearish or, you know, a little bit disenchanted with some recent macroeconomic things, that doesn't
mean that there isn't real work to be done, real products to develop.
And a lot of that comes from product inspiration and lots of research that we've been doing.
But part of that also comes from our colleague, Arsene.
And Arsene, if you want to step in and tell us a little bit
about the growth team and progress on your side,
then please, we'd love to have your update.
Thank you, Shraddh.
Hello guys, I'm Arsene, the PM of We and WeChat.
I'm very happy to join this monthly community and right now in
in hong kong and as him mentioned we joined several units and meet a bunch of
bitcoin builders and investors and some influencers who are still focusing on the future of BPPBike.
And I did a lot of live demo on my phone, or maybe on their phones to show how to how to buy the runes on re-swap and just use the the bitcoin from your
bitcoin wallet like xverse okx or magic eden and it just takes five seconds and you you get the
the transaction done and you don't have to wait for the block time on the
midnight and you can continue use the rules you just buy and add liquidity
into the swap pool and earn the trading fee instantly And also we had a developer's salon yesterday and the founder
of DFINITY Dom gave us an opening speech video and we really appreciate the
the Dissignity Foundation continues support and also
Herbert gave a great speech and explain the technology
what makes V and R-Swap possible and how the
chain building works and And also Luis gave the whole value point
of the key features we are building
and why the builders should join the system
if you are building on Bitcoin.
Neither you are looking for the infrastructure for building the layer 1, that like Reswap
or the layer 2, that like Alifan, Alifan is really popular in Hong Kong and I met many of the communities and they also quite interested in bringing their community
to rich stocks and they think this fully decentralized way to trade ruins is crucial for the high value investors because they don't want to deposit and trust their
money to a third party and some kind of casino and they need to, with the permission for
their deposit and withdraw, let me just leave and step back from the risk. But if they set
their pool on the RISC-RAP, the RISC-RAP are removed by our solid infrastructure and with RE and the startup is also completed the audit and the open source
of the code last month. I think we still have a huge space to growth both in the trading volume and also the TVR of the pool as we are onboarding
more auditing fund communities, more
ruins community. Also, I know Sheldon has been
continuous talking with Leonidas and the dog army is on their way. I believe they
need our support more than ever as the central exchanges won't make it. The
market just shows the penny and I think the tax like Reswap, there's no other DAX of Bitcoin that wants, like Reswap,
and can provide the dog army what they need and the liquidity and the speed of trading.
trading and also they can build another liquid pool on this poly-anchent
decentralized way. So we are just at the start and we will to more regions of researchers who are still working or building or researching
for the future of BPC5.
So if there is another narrative that's going to be wild, I think it must have happened
on Bitcoin. There's no other chain that has this kind of energy to bring the new market back. I think we are on the right way to the future. And on the other products that we supported the OKEx
wallet last month, and in the meantime we onboarded, this means we
onboarded most of the Chinese investors because they are used to trading BRC20 and the
ruins and all the nodes. Most of them are using the OKExNet and we met with the co-team who responsible for the Bitcoin ecosystem.
And we talked about the possibility of future collaborations with OKEx Wallet and with Swap and the future Redapps.
And they are really impressive by what we have built and the user experience.
Reswap bringing to the Bitcoin layer 1, specifically for the links.
And also, we have a great chat with experts coaching as well.
And we have reached the agreement of the collaboration of the product way and the marketing way.
And if you try to re-swap by using your expert,
no matter you are on the desktop or your mobile,
you can see the experience is better now.
And I really appreciate the Xverse team
have did some updates and some branches exclusive
for the maximum
the JSwap and we are using, and we are using the
Zulance Balance from the Unconfirmed UTX source.
No one in this space has did that before,
but experts learn, get the idea we are pushing and they also agreed on this is the best some updates and now the experience is better now.
It's a stimulus and also you won't have any problem if you are using Runes' balance from the unconfirmed UTS goals, or it mixed with the confirmed
UTS goals, both from the confirmed UTS goals or the unconfirmed UTS goals, they solve all
the issues we faced before, and it's all perfect match between the X-verse and the RISLAB.
Also, we have optimized the Rune scan for better readable information details for all the transactions happening on DRI. And if you go to ReShop and click the transactions
you've just made in your wallet details,
and it will lead you to the ruin scan.
And you can see all the code details,
all the intentions you or other traders are using,
and more detailed information about the pool, the whole activity of RISWAP.
So just go ahead and search the details behind your trade.
And if you have any feedback and suggestions,
just DM me or just post a comment and re-swap on me and all the team here.
We offer all here for you to learn from you and create better experience.
As for the coming months,
it will be another four releases and the new smarts,
both related to Reswap and Re,
and we are looking forward to onboarding more community
and help them to get the decentralized trading pool
on Bitcoin layer one.
And we are excited to see the growth of the volume, also of volume and CVL, and also we are exploring the way to collaborate with all the majority of projects and the community who are still grinding in this space.
So it will be another busy and keep building and shipping and the growth in months of this April.
So let's get it. And also if you are a builder who want to build a similar type of like with Rob or Alimfa, just DME
or Luis. We will
do everything we try to have. Okay.
That's from me. Thank you, Sean.
Thank you so much, Arsene. You also reminded me that there is
an announcement
that we made in Discord that I haven't mentioned here just yet.
And the Open Chat team has responded to our inquiries,
and we're going to be talking to them
about some interesting activations.
Kim, your mic is hot would you mind
he's not aware okay um so we uh we put up a notice on the discord that there is an upcoming
event where we are going to close down the old discord and reopen our, you know,
same support channels, same engagement on open chat. A lot of it's already there. So we've already
been growing the community there, but open chat's been making some great updates. Um, and we're
really looking forward to integrating open chat with more of our work, more automation, you know, more on-chain visibility. So it's great
that there is now a native Segwit wallet in open chat. It's not enough to handle, you know,
runes and ordinals just yet, but there's a really great pushover, or I guess you could say movement
to open chat from Discord because we can,
because it makes sense to have on-chain communications. We can have permanent records
of support, and it's a very easy place to be available to all demographics in all regions
without having to worry about data all over the world. So with that, I'd like to introduce our founder, Louis Lu. He's been traveling. We saw a great picture of him having, you know, some engagement in Zurich with Bob and the team. Louis, can you give us the-Din. So I think that last month we made a milestone achievement that ResWab has support for major Bitcoin wallet
and all mainstream Bitcoin press pads.
So, which means this swap is,
I will say it's the form of feature completed.
And we are still adding feature,
but it is a mature product, which means it's a time
for Earth to unleash the marketing and BD power
to, for growth.
Yeah, so we started and completed the first, I would say, trial,
L2 incentive program.
And we learned some, we got some new liquidity
and learned some lessons
and this type of marketing
and cooperation initiative
will be continuously launched.
And so our target is simple.
At ResWap, we all play the center role
in the future coming Bitcoin G5,
like the role that Uniswap plays in Ethereum B5.
UNISPAP plays in Ethereum V5 and I think no one at a better place than a better position than us
since UNISPAP is only feature completed and fully decentralized that out there.
And our user appearance and cost structure is comparable
or even better than centralized marketplace.
So I have a full confidence on the risk loss,
filter growth,
it just needs some time because
I say that with a brand new infrastructure
and the mechanism is very passive novelty and we try to explain
and how response work, but it always takes time.
Even people in different populations,
they apparently they're familiar with
team-culturing time, but it still need time
to explain how it works and why so far,
how it works and why it's so fast, why you can complete transaction execution in a matter of a few seconds. What happened if the transaction was rejected by land pool?
What happened if Bitcoin chain is re-off?
So, for me, we are the infrastructure
builder for this composable and the fully decentralized
Bitcoin infrastructure.
And so we are the first comer of this mindset.
So we cannot offload this market education or developer education work to others. ...resource to explain, to keep conveying the narrative, the messaging, the way, more they convince that the way
is the carbonate between B5 infrastructure out there.
And more confidence they have on earth,
on our protocol and the filter of community.
So just keep the effort going and yeah, the black feature is just ahead
of us. That's all from me. Thank you. Well said, Louis. Thank you so much. And I'm very
happy to have this pinned post. I've not been emphasizing it, so I could let Julian and Louis and Arsene have their flowers about it.
But, you know, being the first open source Bitcoin DEX is pretty excellent.
I have been a little cautious to say that, but ever since I checked in, I'm pretty confident that there's no other completely decentralized, completely open source product.
I think that's a pretty amazing first.
So we're going to keep that pinned up on the Omni account for a while.
It's been getting great feedback when we go meet, you know,
meme coins and traders and chill and chills in spaces.
We frequently let them see, hey, this is open source.
You can review the code base.
There's no black boxes. You know, the trust assumptions here are all very clearly detailed. Some of them
are just mentioned in a different place, like the ICP MPC system that we rely on,
the multi-party compute system for the Bitcoin subnet. That is well detailed. It's just not
in our white paper. So I think that's a pretty good standing.
And, you know, that's a really great first for runes.
So I'm excited to talk more about Stablecoin, about these partnerships that I'm being so mom about and, you know, about more people using REE,
more people using REE, using the Runes Indexer and seeing the vision that we had at Omniti to
be early to Bitcoin 5. So this is the part of the community call where we encourage the community
to ask us any questions. If there's anybody who wants to pop into the chat, please, as I mentioned,
just go ahead and write
something in there and we'll be happy to answer for you. Otherwise, just raise your hand, hit that
mic button, and we'll be happy to bring you up and answer any questions. So I think there's been,
you know, quite a lot covered today. I tried not to just eat all of it up myself because it really
has been a busy and intense past few weeks.
But we're just getting started, you know, getting into the summer season.
Even if there's macroeconomic challenges, even if there are, you know, some blocks that aren't as full as we'd like, there is still plenty of opportunity.
There is still an entire world that recognizes the value of Bitcoin that needs Bitcoin more than ever.
And I think that means that there's room for tooling.
There's room for more than just, you know, one idea of what Bitcoin can do, because that's always been the way that Bitcoin works.
It's not about what you think it should do. It's about what it is capable of.
what you think it should do. It's about what it is capable of.
And we've been moving that forward with ICP and it's been a really great past
few weeks, just working with, you know, some,
some new marketing partners with raising up the potential for new uses and for
refinement, because there, there really is, you know,
a very polished decks and a very mature engagement.
I was at the event in Miami that I was referring to the other day.
We did the ICP Chain Chapters number two out in the Sagamore Hotel in Miami Beach.
And, you know, I decided I made an executive decision that I was going to do the demo live, which is a
known challenge point that many people in engineering are recommended not to do because
things can go wrong when you do a live demo. But Lewis has been doing live demos and has been doing
live demos. I've been doing live demos just to show people what it looks like because it is really fast and it does have an ICY and it does the job with maintaining Bitcoin security.
So I've been enjoying it in my own time. I figured might as well.
So I'm going to be excited to do that in upcoming presentations.
That's something that I've not been comfortable with for enterprise security products and all kind of other stuff for my career.
So it'll be very exciting to get to show more of my friends and to be very easily and just ready to pop out with, hey, have you seen that Bitcoin can do this?
It's a great thing that I can bring up in Miami as that guy who wears a Bitcoin necklace.
So if we don't have any questions,
then I think we can start to wind it down here. We'll give it another moment or two just to see
if there are any questions. I'm really excited for the future of Runes. I think that we've been
making a lot of progress very quickly. And, you know, there's a lot of momentum in the rune space for technologies in general for updates to, you know, be meaningful to the space because, A, there's a relatively small market for this asset standard at the moment.
And B, because it's a very dedicated small market and it is a small market that is gradually gaining mindshare because there is more than just Ethereum weakness.
There is Bitcoin strength in tough times.
That's why, you know, fear and greed index has been swinging so wildly.
Kim, did you want to chime in before we wind down the spaces if there's no other questions?
Should be good.
Okay. Just didn't want to keep the mic from you. If you'd like a chance to speak, we keep things very open here on the community calls.
Well, I think we've got a lot more announcements that are pending and we're going to keep engaging
on spaces. I'll be very happy if I can, you know, maybe not leak, but do some some more in-depth
product research for ordinals and talk a little bit more about the future of DeFi that we've been
looking for around art. And we'll continue to focus on the value of one-on-one art pieces and
fine art that will you know inevitably be a part of runes in the future as runes and ordinals can
be bound together in the same UTXO you know there's there's a world where that just is a
feature that needs to be cultivated so there's a lot going on at Omni.
We'll be happy to tell you more about it on community call number 33.
And until then, please keep an eye on us.
We've got more events coming.
We're looking forward to some of those new partnership announcements.
And if you're interested in building with us,
then please just engage with the Omni account, engage with me,
engage with our scene. Any of us can help you find a reasonable path to see if Omni's tooling and Omni's offerings are right for your BTC Phi choices. docs.omni.network and learn how everything works.
So thanks so much for coming to Omni community call number 32.
And we'll be looking forward to see y'all next time.
And until then,
we're beyond spaces.
You'll be able to find us on spaces because we're just going to stay active all the time.
And I'm going to keep joking as the reply guy that we do not sleep between
me, Kim, anybody who is, you know, keeping Omniti engaging and active. We really don't sleep. This
account is going to keep active. We're going to keep engaging with the runes community and engaging
with the ordinals community and building the future of BTC5. So thanks again, everyone,
for joining us. Have a great morning, have a great night.
See you next time, bye.
See you guys.
