Thank you. hey hey hey elon's trying to stop us but we're not going to let him so we had to
yeah i don't know what happens every time time I try and host, something happens that, you know, it gets rugged.
So let me just do a tweet from OwnTheDoge and let everybody know that we are back online,
but with a different host.
So funny that like it rugged like right at the end too of the song.
Like it played the entire song then rugged.
I tried to start another space from on the doge and that
also did not happen like you know it's so weird i was the only person who was there in the space
okay I did a post and for everybody in this room if you can retweet the spaces
so that all of our friends can know and join it would be amazing Do you hear me, Ultron?
Yeah, sorry. I can hear you now.ron? Yeah, sorry.
Let's try and bring up all our speakers.
I'll try and bring up Boop.
And Boop, could you inform the guests that we are on, but with PSE as the host?
Awesome. Let me pull up the agenda today
so we've got a pretty interesting event going on nft nyc we have presence there and we also have an amazing site event which is happening hosted by bic elon Elon, RWA, and Own the Doge. It is
a cultural house happening and we have a lot of arts displayed. What do you think about that,
Ultron? I am curious to hear your thoughts. Have you seen some photos? Have you seen some sneak
peeks? And how excited are you for that? I think it's amazing.
I think, you know, we've talked about this a lot, right?
The way that we kind of want to blur the line between digital art and in real life art. And we feel like these things will be valued the same way that in real life art is through provenance.
And I think that doing events like this really shows that.
for people to be able to experience that. Like we have Elon RWA up here today. Like that was the
idea there too. Take a meme that lives in the real world, an actual real sketch that became a meme
in our world, in the digital world, and bring that to market, bring that to people and let
people experience it, but also then build things in real life to continue blurring that line.
Building a statue, building these walls, building things in Brownsville that people that are going to SpaceX can see and experience and take pictures in front of them, be a part of the culture.
Even if they're not on CT with us, even if they don't know what Awasi is, they can still enjoy these things.
And maybe then they come in and right? And they learn about these things
and they experience these things
and they want to be a part of these communities.
And when you have an event like NFT NYC,
that's what it's built to do,
make connections and bring in people.
And you have the coolest city in the world.
New York is the best city in the world, baby.
And for us to be able to be there and do this,
And to be able to display our art the way it should be displayed as art in a gallery with some of the
coolest people around to tell you about why it's important and why it matters to them. It's such a
cool event. I encourage anybody, if you are in the area, check it out. It is nothing but good vibes.
Some of my best friends are there right now. It is going to be a great, great time. And it was last night. We've had some great pictures of it. I mean, there is an awesome
picture of like the couch in old school CRT TV, my friends playing GameCube, like
the nostalgia is just off the hook. Just love it.
Yeah, the vibes were there. So amazing. So we had the first night yesterday, and some people already came, of course, and to see the display of the Providence culture, the story of Underdoge, of Elon RWA, and the Bureau of Internet Culture.
And it's really funny because there were some people passing by, seeing lights, this reproduction of the living room, this gaming retro ambience.
And some people were stopping by, yes, and asking questions and got very intrigued because they all know these pictures.
And for them to know the story behind and the part that they can also be part of the community
even the people who didn't know
and the people who are for the side event.
So the gathering is amazing.
So we have another round tonight
and the following days starting at 6 p.m.
So the address is 213 Bowery Street, B-O-W-E-R-Y.
And yeah, you guys are welcome.
We have some fresh drink because it's been kind of hot here these days
and many people to talk to, a lot of good vibes.
I will be happy to yeah to share story with you so when you enter
the room there is uh on the wall so many pictures uh the chrono chronology of the story of doge
more picture of uh behind the scenes uh of what we are creating and building all together
scenes of what we are creating and building all together. So whether you active member
or just being older, it's, it's something we're building all together and to see taking life.
And I think, oh, sorry, I was just gonna say, I think what's been very cool And I think, oh sorry Shu
I was just going to say, I think what's been very cool
If you look at some of the pictures, just some of the people that have stopped in
There has been a dog that rides a skateboard
I mean we've seen crazy incredible things already
We're just getting into day two
What does day two have in store for us?
How do you top that? You need to bring a giraffe just getting into day two like what does day two have in store for us after we've already how do
you top that you need to like bring like a giraffe down down down the bowery like to to ride a scooter
or something i don't know how you top what we've already seen but i bet that you will
it's so incredible i saw some photos and i was like you know this is a wall of nostalgia this
is the wall of the fame of the internet and
this needs to be on a permanent display but we'll talk about nft nyc in detail in the later half of
this call we've got an amazing guest card no from poep xyz let me bring card no up
and we've got some amazing questions lined up for card now
I do love POAPS and I think even though I thank all my friends and
you know I do a lot of these things. I do a lot of spaces with
my friends. We do a lot of community meetings at BIC.
And we've been collecting POE apps for a very long time, years, years and years.
And all my friends let me call it a Pope for like a year and a half.
And not a single one of them ever tried to correct me.
They just let me go on going on saying that.
And there is a grudge there.
I, you know, anybody could have stepped in and
helped me with that but nobody decided to never forget that is hilarious
um you could help me too you remember it you could have helped me to
decided not to look at this these are my friends guys these are my friends
with friends like this who needs enemies, right?
It's unbelievable. I'm out here
doing public things. These guys are letting me
Well, it's great to be here.
Here, we love community events. We love bringing people together to be able to be here. I love it. I think it's very cool. You know, it's here, we love community events.
We love bringing people together to be able to hang out.
And I think to have a service
and to have a protocol like that,
that really celebrates those get togethers
that you can only get if you were there.
If you were listening to the code, if you were there,
you were paying attention, you were enjoying the space.
Those are the people that get rewarded with PoEps. I love the idea. I think it's so cool.
Thank you very much, man. I appreciate it.
do you have any presence at NFT NYC?
And maybe for the audience,
you can start with a brief of what PoE app basically is.
We, on the Doge, have been giving out PoE apps
for like almost 180 WooF weeklies consistently in a row.
So we have been a fan of PoE app.
Our community is a fan of PoE app.
But anybody who's new, you know,
they would love to know what PoE apps are
and what, you know, what are you guys doing these days okay yeah and uh yeah firstly i think i'll start with saying thank you
to you guys and girls uh who run these shows like often issue poaps do a great job at doing so as
well like spreading the love and a great word so yeah hats off to you and kudos your way to start
it off um yeah so like a brief intro, like background to PoEps then.
So for those who don't know, PoEps are essentially collectible tokens that represent a moment in time.
I think somebody said at the start there, you know, you have to be somewhere collecting it and physically, you know, doing the action of minting it.
So that moment could be, you know, an an x space like this a meeting between two people
or you know at an event as well and and to be honest with everything in between we regularly see
poops believe it or not for landmark occasions such as weddings birthdays anniversaries and
we've even had poops created to mark the birth of someone's first child second child as well so you
know quite special things like that and um yeah each pop's like a reminder of an experience or an event that's shared between
collectors and when you sort of dial it in a little bit it's basically an on-chain anchor
to a moment in time right so you'll regularly see people referencing or sharing a pop they've
collected from prior events as you know proof of being part of that moment and i'd go as
far to say as well especially on crypto more so probably than any other way of proving you a part
of something so sometimes when you go on the timeline people go oh remember when we done this
space maybe you know it's your space it might be you know number one number 10 whatever it is
people will regularly share you know a screenshot of their power as you know evidence of them being
there rather than you know a screenshot of the picture of the audience or as evidence of them being there rather than a screenshot of the picture of the
audience or a picture of them being at the event. We've got the way of doing it on-chain. So
hopefully that gives people a little bit of a brief background on what PoApp is and
what it is essentially. I think you mentioned something about what we're doing at NFT NYC?
yes okay so uh tldr is there's a few team members uh in new york for nft nyc and we've also got a
lot of team members in can for ecc as well which we'll probably touch on later um and it makes
sense as this is an nft nyc centered show it's probably best to mention some things that we've
got going on uh in the city as well.
So I'd probably say the highlight thing or one of the main activations currently going on
is at the Jeff Staple flagship store at 21 Mercer.
So some people might have seen that Ape Chain have taken over that store in collaboration with Jeff Staple
for two days, I think it is.
I think we're on the second day now, highlighting, i think it's 12 different community artists on a chain in a sort of like a rotating exhibition
if somebody if anybody went to nft paris last year or this year sorry they would have seen
something similar they get the concept but as part of that activation they're issuing a po app for
you know highlighting each artist there's 12 to collect there i don't think you can collect them
but I think you've got to like periodically
like drop back in, check out the exhibition,
and then you can collect another poet
from one of those 12 artists as well.
I'll try to pin a link like later on
once I like jump off the stage
so people can view it and see it.
But yeah, it's pretty cool.
And obviously it's a pretty dope like store
jeff staples so that's nice and then other events i think there's been stuff up the pizza dow event
i think i was recently was not like yesterday i don't know snacks is i can't see snacks here but
i think it was yesterday there's a pizza dow power of course there was there always is bankless have
issued one pinata if anybody's familiar with them had a nice poap i think dennis rodman was
at their event for like half a day,
No word, unfortunately, whether he minted a POAP or not.
But yeah, there's lots of other smaller events, booths,
and people issuing their own personal, you know,
you've met me POAP, we call them,
to give to people who they meet during the week.
So yeah, New York, lots going on,
as there really is around most major conferences,
if I'm being honest with you.
I love the idea of someone doing it.
You know, I think of it for online events that we have,
you know, I love the idea of someone doing that
for the birth of a child, a wedding anniversary.
Like we talk a lot about here
about collecting immutable history.
You know, that's what we believe that we're doing when we're collecting some of the memes
and the art that we collect.
We have a piece where it's called Kudita and there's a woman doing her yoga routine and
behind her in Myanmar, there is literally a coup attempt behind her and you can see
Like it's a moment in history, like frozen in time and saved to the perfect ledger on blockchain forever.
And I think that that idea is what motivates us.
That's something that we feel is very important.
We feel like that's something that's missing, right?
Like the blockchain is the perfect ledger.
And if that's the case, then we should be putting this history on this ledger.
And this is where this belongs.
And I think what you guys do is the same thing.
You know, it's the same thing you know it's the
same thing it's taking history and it's cataloging it forever and i think that's just so so cool and
the idea of people doing that for anniversaries for kids being born i think is very very special
you have a great project yeah absolutely and i think i think it's been said by some people on
the team before it's just not like a phrase that i'm coining but essentially poap was
like made to document you know humanity's memories so the people you meet the events you go to the
places you see you know births big anniversaries and that sort of thing and like you say it's on
the perfect ledger it's on a public ledger people can see it interact with it
and you know it's irrefutable so yeah really cool
I'm just curious, roughly how many projects utilize PoApp at events like NFT NYC?
And yeah, what would you say is the most commonly used PoApp distribution method?
Like location, secret phrase?
Yeah, so I can't like, I don't like document like all the issuers but in terms of like
how many projects teams at nftm i see it honestly like really varies from event to event so even the
same event happening in over different years can be like totally different so i think it depends on
the current outlook in the general market are people happy or buzzing around or is it a bit
more downbeat and reserved in general i guess but it or buzzing around or is it a bit more downbeat and
reserved in general i guess but it depends on whether we've pushed a new product or tool people
want to try out or whether there's a strong team presence from us around that event as well so
in general though i think the major events on the calendar are well serviced with po app issuance
like throughout the years every year and if we take something like devcon that happened in
bangkok in november as an example and i reference this because i worked i went there so i pretty
much know the figures off the top of my head um in devcon november last year we seen in that week
of just power up collectors we seen 8300 individual human beings, however you want to categorize it.
Over 8,300 individual mint a po-op that week.
So 8,000 plus people got their po-op app out,
tapped a QR, tapped their NFC device,
and pressed mint to collect a po-op.
And I think in total it was just under 20,000 po-ops minted.
But I just think it was pretty crazy that you have a week-long crypto event and you know that there's 8,300 human beings, not AI, not bots, people who are physically there outside events at the main conference tapping and collecting something.
we see them all on what will work best for one event or or person might not for the next so i'd
say most people are accustomed now to seeing maybe a power up logo on an nfc device tapping a phone
to mint the drop and i'd probably go as far as to say that's now like a learned behavior for most
people in the space especially ones who attend irl events um but you know the ability to have an nfc
device at an event isn't always possible so So, of course, there are other methods people use, such as location,
which is minted a po-op via our mobile app and GPS,
and also things people already know, like via QR code or secret word,
which works well for spaces, as you all know.
That's amazing. Yeah, I really love collecting PoE apps at IRL events. Like, you know, I've made a few events myself. And whenever, you know, you go to a side event, or you know,
you just meet somebody, I've collected a lot of PoE apps, even on Doge Day, I think a lot of people,
you know, just came in with their own Po apps like you know you meet them you scan their
phone and you can collect a po app i have collected so many po apps myself i'm a po app
maxi and uh that brings me to my next question so are there any new features coming up on po app
like i've been a legacy user i've been using that app for like so long now so what what is something
exciting which is you know which is coming to
or you know what are you guys working on upcoming uh so it's quite a few um but yeah we've been
over a few already so location-based minting is quite a big one for us and i think that's mainly
because it allows any event organizer globally uh doesn't matter where you are to issue a po-op at
your event with no equipment so you don't have to have an nfc device you don't have to have a screen to
display a qr you don't even have to have a printer to print a qr on a poster or leaflet you can go
into drops.poop.xyz create a power up select location and just put a pin anywhere in the world
with a radius or range around it and only people the
only people who can mint that po-op are people who come within that range so if you are like a
large event or a conference you can put a pin people on the conference can mint it people outside
the conference can't so that's quite a cool thing what we've pushed out recently uh po-op fun now
is a tool is a new raffle tool i think this actual show has used po-op fun in some iteration to
give away prizes but we've got one new one called po-op fun now it's a new raffle tool
uh allows you to use your po-ops you issue either to community people friends as raffle tickets we
conduct an on-chain raffle you can set the time one minute three minute whatever works for you
and it automatically uses the po poops id as a raffle
ticket number and draws them using the blockchain and then another one i mentioned which is something
we pushed out just a few days ago is mainly for like conference goers or people going to events
this is like the mvp of it really but we've made a tool for people to create a poop or create the
poop artwork for poops they want to issue themselves and we basically provide like the frame the border for it and they just have to like drag and drop or
upload their pfp we handle the rest and the artwork's like made you know by us and then they
can just use that to like issue a power up as well uh and in terms of other features being able to
distribute a power up from within the app is a good one so if you make your own power up because
you want people to collect it.
So you've got an on-chain record of meeting these people,
but you don't want to carry around an IYK card or an NFC disk.
You can just download the app.
Once you've created a PoE app, you just transfer it to your dispenser
and your app will show a QR.
People can just scan it straight off your phone.
So there's lots of things going on.
The best resource would be to head to poapp.news.
There's lots of stuff goes out on there,
especially like product releases and product updates as well.
But yeah, lots going on, lots to be excited for.
And yeah, it's great to see new people
using like the new features we push out.
One thing that you mentioned, I think is really important.
It's something that we've
talked about a lot here, just in the space. I feel like in the space now, I feel like we're
surrounded by bots on all sides, right? You go on Twitter and you have AI reply guys now,
and there's a ton of them. And then sometimes they actually talk to each other and you'll see
them arguing with each other in the comments of things. It's completely getting out of hand.
And we've talked about that, whether it's with art, whether it's about AI agents, AI is here and it is not getting less, it's going to be more.
So I think that there is going to be value for human creators that make things in a human way.
Like some of my friends tell me that when they're at their office jobs, when they're communicating
with each other through email or through Microsoft Teams, they're using chat GPT just so that they
can communicate with their coworkers. Like we're so far beyond the looking glass now with AI and it is
only going to accelerate. I think there is going to be a lot of value for human creators, people
that actually write things, write things on Twitter, create things themselves. I think PoEps
are very cool to be able to show that these are real people that were at a real event that minted something themselves.
It wasn't an AI agent who made some other AI agent
that now has a reply guy.
And then they all do this in some crazy circle.
These are real people who are interested in the space
or interested in an event and take a real collectible
to show as a human, they were there.
And I think that's awesome.
And if you look at like the history of cool events
in the meat space, all the way back to the beginning of time, people have always wanted to take something from an event
to show they were there, to be able to remember it, to be able to commemorate the experience
and to be able to do that in our space. POAP is a very unique way to do that. And I think it is a
very cool part of what we do. And I think it's going to have more and more value as people start
seeing that the value of human creators. So I think it's very, have more and more value as people start seeing that the value of human creators.
So I think it's very, very cool.
I was so glad that you were going to come in and talk about it a little bit today.
Yeah, I think just to like reemphasize the point you made there about like AI and human creators,
we've already seen this a little bit with Poop where people who are launching protocols or launching tokens and things like that. Because Poops are the ERC-7 the things you can do with a normal nft are the same things you can do with a po-op
you can token gate experiences you can you know do stuff on shopify token gate reward you've got
people's wallet addresses but you know that that person if they have a po-op from you know your
event is a human and what we've seen is that people who are launching tokens and things like
that they've now started to like feed into that and go oh well hang on we're doing the airdrops for
the people doing stuff on x and farming but hang on we've got this whole history of people who
have always collected our poops at our events at our x spaces and things like that we know these
are real and they've started allocating you know tokens or airdrops or you know entry points or
whatever it might be to these people because they know that
for the most, they are human beings. I think that's so important. And it's going to be more
and more important the further down the road that we get. And it's not very far. I mean,
it's happening right now and we're seeing that. And I think a lot of us that have been in this
space for a long time are talking like, what is the answer to that like we don't want to be drowned uh by ai chat reply guys
you know when we're trying to communicate with each other you know how do we show who is a real
human in the space how do we distinguish a bot from a human um and i think that's a really good
way to do it and especially when you're doing airdrops when you have people using these
things to farm tons of airdrops twitter's compromised they rugged us the first time when we tried to do the from own
the doge we had to pivot over here to host the space here uh twitter's been compromised by the
bots and you know and what is the answer to that and if you're doing a huge airdrop i think that
is a great way to make sure that you're dropping to actual humans who actually used your product
who actually used your product,
I think is very, very cool.
I think Cardano is running on a schedule here,
so I wouldn't really want to take more of your time.
But it was amazing having you
and some things you mentioned,
like having a raffle system inbuilt
using PoApp for giveaways and stuff.
I would definitely love to dive more deep into that because, you know,
we've been trying to get a platform to do that for us.
Like, you know, we've been doing a lot of X giveaways.
We've been doing some airdrops.
So I was thinking maybe, you know, this can probably just eliminate our bot problem
or, you know, we can discuss some things on this front together.
But I'm really, really excited to see what's upcoming for po app and yeah i just love po app yeah thank you so much cardano for jumping in um
much love and boop it is the best time to drop our po app for the day
and oh my gosh the pressure is on i get to do it in front of card no like this is uh really really
special um so if everybody wants to get out your poap dot xyz and get or your whole map
um and enter in the secret phrase to collect your poap for the day. The secret phrase is doge-takes-nyc. Doge-takes-nyc. Doge-takes-nyc.
And I also just want to give a shout out thank you so much for coming on carno
it's been great to kind of get your i know we have had a lot of we've been in talks about pull-up and
i'm always dming him about questions i have and he helps me get things set up so it's been great
to have you on and kind of bring you in to the community here anytime and we appreciate you as well thank you very much you're welcome
and then i think without further ado maybe i'll say i'll say the speaker phrase one more time just
for the people in the back um doge dash takes dash nyc and then i do notice that Smoke has arrived, and she's going to be talking with us about NFT NYC, because she is live on the grounds.
And then we also have Woods up here as well, who is also at NFTft nyc so shout out woods wow gm woods how you doing been
long i have talked to dogebound friends yeah yeah smoke smoke hey what's up guys um hopefully
everyone can hear me i am on a side quest right now picking up a video game for our
amazing event i have acquired the video game and i am now waiting for my uber so i can head along
back to nft nyc and we are equipped with mario kart double dash so worth the trip let's go
Mario Kart Double Dash is probably the greatest GameCube game of all of them, I think.
A lot of Mario Karts are very similar.
Double Dash is unique in all of the Mario Karts.
If I was there, my mission would be to defeat Orb in front of everyone.
That would be my mission.
But unfortunately, i am not there
um but i just want you to know and when you get there just tell him please tell him
that if i was there this would be the end of him but i'm not i will let him know and you need to
come next time ultron yeah you need to come next time we need you we need you to destroy orbs yeah uh gaming career yeah we'd have to live stream it
on on one of the accounts so that everyone could see um we'd have to dm path and tell him that i
won you know that that's that's what we'd have to do we would have to tell path immediately that i
won um no i think that would be i i love that you guys are doing there um i am regretting not going
because uh i would love to hang out with all you guys.
I think the event is so cool.
And just the idea behind the event.
And it's kind of like what we talked about with the POEPS and what they try to do.
Just to say like, hey, we're a community online.
But we can do cool, real events in real life and show the value of these things and get a chance to talk to people in real life about why we value these things, why this community is so cool.
It's an incredible opportunity.
We have Adria is here in the audience.
We got to meet him yesterday, had an amazing time hanging out with him all night
as well as louie i see orb has jumped into the chat he must have heard that he was summoned
for this gaming competition that's going to happen next time um but yeah it's been amazing
nft nyc has been super fun they're making a movie called like it's called like nft movie
or the nft movie and that is the booth that's been next to us and
i was afraid the space we've gotten to hang out with el don't do it I was afraid of that
Yeah it could be my service too
because I'm like in the middle of New Jersey
but yeah I'm sorry if you can't hear me
maybe we want to switch over to
Orb who I see in the audience here.
He can tell you guys more about how the party's going.
He's live on the scene over there.
Yeah, we need to put Orb as speaker.
I think he requested to be speaker.
But Elon rugging us again.
I'm going to approve again.
Hopefully, Elon, please. We built
a statue in your honor. It's an entire monument directed towards your honor. Why are you rugging
us on your glorious communication app? Yeah, we need preferential treatment for all the stuff
we've done for Elon. We got to write to him about this. Uh, Louie, can you reach out to him? I know
you guys DM back and forth a little bit. If you don't mind, can you reach out to him i know you guys dm back and forth a little bit if you don't mind can you reach out to him and see if we can just get a little technical help i
don't know how many people work at twitter anymore but i i'm sure there's at least three or four
devs wandering around in that empty building over there please can one of them please help us on the
stream hey guys orb good morning sir i was just talking about if i was there i would want to defeat you
in glorious mario kart battle and i would want to everyone to see it and i would want to make
sure that everyone told path they could they could tag him on twitter they could dm him i would just
want him to know about my glorious victory listen there's there's a reason I opened the Twitter app today,
and it's because I heard you talking all that smack.
And I just want to make it clear.
I'm not here to defend my honor or anything,
because there's nothing to defend.
Because we all know that if we played, I would win.
But I feel like there's a way to resolve this without waiting too long
You can just come to NFT NYC.
The man is slandering me he is slandering
my ability to game he is slandering me in public i'm getting heated might have to go down there i
might have to go down there we won't we won't tell anyone what you look like but everybody should
come down we have a photo booth we could take a picture of ultron and ducks dox him about him
knowing and here's the here's the thing if you guys come and try to do the photo booth thing and Photo booth, we could take a picture of Ultron and dox him about him knowing.
If you guys come and try to do the photo booth thing
and you don't want to take a photo,
And if you use the joystick and the buttons,
you can actually switch to playing an Atari emulator game
like Galaga or Asteroids.
if we can convince Ultron to come down,
we can all prove to him that we're actually better than
him when it comes to video gaming otherwise it's just cheap talk right i am raging and i'm about
to rug the entire space i have the power to rug this entire space and now i'm raging and it is
it's possible um no that would be amazing and orb built that photo booth by the way it is awesome orb is one
of my most talented friends uh incredibly talented artist dev uh great guy probably the coolest guy
I know uh all that being said though I would destroy him on the tracks of Mario Kart everyone
know that I mean I saw that coming a mile away you're gonna be so nice in public and then just
drop that like that anyway I love you and props to everybody
on all three teams that made this happen.
This is like, it takes a village and it's a great team.
I don't think any of us would be here doing this
if we weren't working with the right people.
I just had to make sure everybody knows
that I would kick Ultron's butt,
but yeah, we'll see what happens.
Thank you. I'll see you soon. we'll see what happens I love you guys thank you I'll see
you soon love you brother much love to talk to you I love board man that's my guy right there
uh it is very cool as you guys know I love retro gaming like I am a gamer like in my soul uh so
when he said when he's building that thing and he's like you know I was thinking about building
an Atari emulator in it so that you can put in I believe the code is the contra code too which is just so epic um and it's
like and it loads into like asteroids uh very very cool that's just like one of those cool Easter egg
type of things that you can only experience at like a real event when you do those things um yeah
and I've seen a lot of cool stuff and and not just that i mean there's video screens on
the wall showing the the art that the bureau of internet culture has collected on the doge and
elon and this is the way these things should be displayed they should be displayed in a gallery
environment where people can actually see it and look at it and enjoy it the way that they would
any other art and to be able to do that in new york the greatest city in the world. There is no better place to do this.
That's why there's so NFT NYC is there in the first place. And for us to have a presence there,
I think is so awesome. Agreed. Smoke, could you tell us how are the vibes at NFT NYC?
I think, you know, this was probably the second day of
the event and our side event as well so just tell me all the stories from there
like you know how people reacted a dog comes in on a skateboard in our you know
in our little booth stands in front of doge takes a photo I've seen all the
photos and those look amazing so what are what is the behind the scenes going on there
are you asking me yeah oh yeah sorry well right now i can't really speak to it just because i'm
in my next uber but yeah i mean the behind the scenes hanging out there has been amazing
rachel on chain has been there so we got to hang out with her. She's representing stand with crypto, but she's also representing own the doge. She shouted
us out to my knowledge, uh, recently while I was out here during a talk that she had. So that was
super dope. Um, ended up meeting some good friends of different mutual friends of ours while we were
there. There's, um, I don't know if you guys can hear me well but there's another uh movie that's coming
out called i think it's like the nft movie or nft the movie and they have asked to interview us so
when i get back there i'm going to do an interview with them tell them all about own the doge tell
them about our statue and what we've been building tell them about picked out elon rwa and the
preservation of provenance movement that is happening in real time with the meme archive revolution.
And just having an amazing time, talked about Julia Love and Gary and brought up all of our friends in Dogecoin.
And a lot of people are interested to hear more about IP, to hear more about Doge and the story of Doge with Atsuko and Doge being from Japan.
A lot of people recognize Doge right away, even from the plushie. They're like, oh, of course. Yeah, of course I know the Doge being from Japan. A lot of people recognize Doge right away even from the
plushie. They're like oh of course yeah of course I know the Doge meme. And then when they see all
of the amazing memes that BicDAO has collected they're really impressed with that as well.
I'm hoping we're going to get all of our logos up on the big cube. I don't know if anyone has
seen it. I think we have to drop some pictures of it but there's a huge cube with all these
it's super epic and i was told we're gonna get our logos on that as well so as soon as i get back i'm
gonna try to get those up there get some awesome pictures um sandbox has been here they're doing
like a cirque cirque de soleil uh event where it's like sandbox mixed with circus themes and
they're kind of collabing in that way.
Yeah, Stand With Crypto has had a huge presence.
They told me that they definitely want to do something cool together
And apparently they have a Rhode Island division,
which is the little unknown state I'm from.
So I'm going to check that division out and talk to that president
and see if we can do something cool in my neck of the
woods there. Doge Pound team is down here. From what I'm seeing, I'm being sent some pictures
and stuff, so definitely excited to get to meet Woods. Amazing legend, head of community over
there. Really excited about that. The party has been epic. We've had a lot of people come through.
The gaming is top-notch they've been working very
hard getting all the pictures up there we have i kind of bartended very poorly yesterday we're
gonna have a much better bartender coming in uh very soon that is another i don't know if i can
say who it is but it's someone we know i'll wait for them to decide if they're gonna say
um but yeah overall just the vibes are immaculate. Super fun event.
Really excited to see what else is going to go down at the main event, but also just a side party.
It has been epic. I mean, we have a lot of people applying to get in. I think we're probably at
capacity as far as applications. So we're going to start looking through those, accepting some
of those applications, and just having an amazing time together you really can't be hanging
out IRL a lot of people on stage know that that I've gone to doge day it's a
whole nother dimension when you actually get to see people in real life hang out
with them give them a hug see how they react to things you know it's different
it's just different so it's really a blessing and I'm just really excited to be out here and I think it's epic I hope we do more things like this I think
everybody who's walked in is like learning a lot um we ended up running into this guy that actually
apparently knows grimes uh so it was pretty epic I was talking to him for a while and uh yeah I
think we're getting closer and closer one degree degree of separation from Elon. I think it's inevitable.
We'll end up hanging out with him, talking to him.
He'll check out the statue.
I can see it happening in my mind's eye.
And yeah, love all you guys.
If anyone's out in New York, please stop by and hang out with us.
We're going to be having it for a few more days.
And it's really an epic experience.
Very chill vibes retro all the
memes on the walls gamecube games i just picked up an epic game you heard ultron there's nothing
better than this game for gamecube so come by and chill i love that i think that's so cool
and uh like is is it possible like do you still talk to this guy could this guy potentially give
grimes my number is that possible i heard she's not with elon anymore i think i can hook that up for you altron that's the way i think i think there's a
possibility of that happening this is why we web three there we go um like and also just like on a
serious note like i can personally obviously i can personally vouch for all these people these are
all some of my best friends but also these are people that have been in the space for a very
long time who have been here through multiple bears, who have continued to build, who have continued to
support this industry when other people have left, have given up and left. These people are still
here. They are still grinding. They are still working and they're still being successful in
the space. If you want to be a part of the space, these are the kind of people you want to connect
with. People that actually love the space, that are trying to do something good, right? They're not trying to rug you in some vapor casino.
They're not trying to post low cap tokens and dump on their followers. These are not the people we
associate. We don't associate with those people that do those things. We are not max extractors.
We're people that enjoy the space. We want to build things that are cool.
We want to build things that are fun, that people can enjoy and be a part of and feel
a part of a community of like-minded people and be able to enjoy this thing.
And that's what all these people are.
Anybody you meet there, that's the kind of people that you can meet and be a part of.
And those are the kind of people you want to connect with.
Ultron is always spot on.
I mean, I personally would have loved
to go and attend this event in particular
because of the display and the partners involved.
It's like, you know, BIC, Own the Doge, Elon, RWA,
we are the provenance pack.
And we have been doing so much for this
culture and just seeing an IRL exhibition solely dedicated to that. I mean, you know, that would
have been like the major highlight. Like in my mind, this is even better than NFT NYC. I just
want to see that. And I'm seeing those through photos. So I'm so excited to see all these photos
coming in everyday smoke. Reminder, I think you have to post more photos for everybody to see from your account.
And, you know, we can probably pin that to the space, drop them in the comments or just, you know, do a post and we're going to spread it on all our social channels.
Slight reminder for everybody to join our TG, join our Discord channels for some fun activations.
We are regular at hosting some discord games there
might be some prizes and our telegram community is really amazing it's popping off and we might
have some prizes coming in soon for people who are active on tg as well boop has been working
on some amazing community strategies during this last few weeks and we'll be rolling out a few versions of that really really
soon but coming back to NFT NYC Woods what has been your experience at NFT NYC and what is the
presence of DogePound there? Hey guys thank you so much for having us. NFT NYC is really amazing. I actually, I came down Tuesday for a couple of events.
I went back home for Wednesday and I just got back today. So this is my first day actually
being at the conference. Super, super cool. It's a hell of a vibe. there's a couple of things that I've found really interesting so far just from my own experience.
One thing so OpenSea has some people here who are giving away.
You can walk up to them and mint an NFT. It's completely free and it's a GenArt NFT, which is super, super cool.
And it's there's actually been a lot of people who have been learning about NFTs, about crypto here.
I've talked to several people who are like, oh, I just learned about Coinbase Wallet yesterday.
So that's been really, really cool to see just like some expansion of the Web3 culture in general going on here.
Knowing that it's not just us DGens
who have been around forever.
You know, there are new people getting exposed.
And I had a really interesting question asked to me,
which really got me thinking,
and it was what am I most proud of in the time that I've been active in the
And for those of you who don't know, I've been working on the Doge Pound basically since
I was not part of the founding team, but we minted in July of 2021.
And I shortly after joined as community manager.
And I think one of the things that I'm most proud of,
you know, other than we did build
a really large dog shelter in East Africa,
it's the largest one in East Africa,
but I'm really proud of working for a good team.
For four years, I've been on this team and working at it,
and we've never extracted from not only our own community, but from the
Web3 community. We did our one initial sale. We've never done any other raises of any sort.
And that question just here at the conference had really got me thinking. And so I think it's
something that everyone in the space should think about. You know what? Take a think back and think about what you're most proud of.
You know, we're all probably proud of a really good mint or making a lot of money.
But this is so much bigger than that.
And it was really eye-opening to hear that from someone here at NFT NYC.
hear that from someone here at NFT NYC.
And it's, you know, we talk a lot about internet culture.
And I think that's certainly a thing.
And, you know, we all share in that.
But CT culture is like a subculture inside, right?
And for us to be a part of this, we were just talking to,
I don't think I can talk about it publicly yet,
but we were just talking to a really, really group of OG,
very, very cool project that also appreciates internet culture.
Path and I were talking to them the other day,
very excited about what that'll be, a little tease,
a little tease, but I don't think we're ready to announce it yet but a little tease of what the future could be but they
talked about that too if like the culture built here is important and as new people come in we
want to share that with them and if we don't they're not going to know about those things
you know like there is a shared history that we have here and as new people come in it's important
to be able to share that with them so that they can be a part of that, the people that want to be.
And to be able to enjoy that.
Because there are cool things that have happened here.
Like if I talk about over here and if I talk about a bywall, people immediately think about Kobe's tweet, Kobe's bywall tweet, right?
If I say steady lads, you know, all of us know what that is and where that comes from, right?
If I say steady lads, you know, all of us know what that is and where that comes from, right?
Whether it was a positive event or a negative event, it was something that happened to us specifically in this culture that we were all a part of, right?
And newcomers might not know that, right?
I mentioned to a friend recently, I mentioned, I was like, whoa, the only history of our space is on small chain.
And he was like, what is that?
And I was like, well, inverse bra, you know?
And I'm like, oh my God, like, how do you not know that? And I was like, well, inverse bra, you know, and he's like, who? And I'm like, oh my God, like, how do you not know that? Like, that is a crime that anybody in our space for anybody
not to know who inverse bra is. Like, we can't allow that to be the case. This culture is
important. It has kept us together. It has built us here being something very cool in events like
NFT NYC, OG projects that have stayed around that have not been about extraction, that have been
about like building cool communities with people around art that they enjoy or a meme that they
enjoy. Like this is an important culture. And as new people come in, especially people that are
casino participants, some people come in and I get it. People want to escape their nine to five
lives. I get that. Everybody has a dream. I get that. Casino participants are welcome to,
we want to be able to share the cool things about this space. It's not just about green candles and
getting out before everybody's rushing to the exit on whatever pump fun thing that you just bought.
The space can be more than that. And for people like us that have been here for a long time,
it is more than that. And for us, we don't want to gatekeep new people from that.
We want to open that and be able to share that with them.
And events like this are an important step in being able to do that.
And us being able to talk about these things, getting together like this,
talking about it on Twitter, maybe making some videos or sharing some
content with people to be able to educate them on the past and what we've done.
I think is very, very cool.
So I've been saying a lot of things are very cool today,
but these are things that like I really believe in
And not to say the same term over and over again,
but that's what I do when I'm rambling.
Oh, but these are things that I believe in.
And these are things that we're very passionate about. And that's what this event is about for us.
I'm so excited to see what's upcoming for BIC. I've been, you know, I've been seeing some
conversations around that. I've seen some tweets from Pat about the thing you're talking about.
And yeah, I mean, you know, I was wondering the same. There needs to be some reserve of culture.
And right now, I think, yeah, Smallting has been like one of the best personalities.
But even if I go to Smallting's account, there are like 10,000 tweets.
It's so hard to look for the thing you're talking about.
So let's say I'm a new person in crypto.
And I want to search about what SteadyLads actually meant.
Even I can go to Smallting's page, ads actually meant. There is no place.
Even I can go to Smalling's page, you know, write study lads.
And then it's going to be a huge task for me to actually search that part of history,
that part of lore and understand about that. There needs to be some kind of a dictionary or, you know, some go-to point where you search
about that and you just find that thing there.
And yeah, I mean, this this cycle or this this time
in the last few years we've seen that you know there was a lack and there was a distance like
a lot of og participants in crypto retire every cycle a lot of new people come in but again this
like you know a lot of people come in and the culture probably somewhat is left behind.
And that is something which we need to carry forward. And being a reserve of culture is something which I really, really resonate with.
So kudos to you, Ultron, for working on that.
And all, you know, Elon, RWA working on that.
Owen, the Doge, Smoke working on that.
Everybody from our team working on that.
It is really, really very exciting.
I think it's a great point.
I think it's a great point.
It's something that we're thinking a lot about.
I have one quick question.
So maybe, Vuz, you can help me with this.
I was wondering, what is the cultural difference?
There are a lot of events which are like you know etc or token 2049 and there are events which are like nft
nft nyc nft paris so what is the difference or is there any difference in the vibes of these events
you know one is centric towards nfts maybe one is centric towards you know other other things in
crypto what is the change like i have not been to any NFT events, so just curious about that.
Actually, the only two that I've been to are NFT, NYC, and DecentralCon out in Miami,
central around Art Basel, back before NFT Miami existed.
back before NFT Miami existed.
And there's definitely, at least between these two,
there's definitely a cultural difference.
When you go to NFT NYC, you see just a lot of people
who are heavily, heavily ingrained in the culture of NFTs,
When I had gone to Miami for Decent for decentralcon there were a lot of nft
people but being centered around um art basil at the same time the there was a huge difference in
like how many people were there just because they like art, you know, and they
were willing to pop into an NFT conference because it's right there at the same time, not far away.
And most of the people who go to ARP as well tend to have a lot of money anyway.
So it kind of, you know, the cultures kind of do correlate there, But it is interesting to see.
I think it's very heavily dependent on what else is going around.
I think everyone I've met
is super into the NFT scene
I actually have my Shiba with me.
And everyone is stopping me.
I think one of the coolest things everyone knows doge you know and so me just walking around with with a doge it's like
everyone can connect i can connect with pretty much everyone based on that alone and i think
like that's one of the biggest things things going back to internet culture is just so many people are behind the doge movement that it is so easy to create friends and meet people if you are just a part of it too and want to do good.
to do good that is so true i love that i love meeting new shibas anywhere i go even though
she was like you know sometimes feisty i just love meeting them i was there in tokyo and i
was trying to you know just pet a few shibas and they're like oh you know i was afraid they
might bite my hand so i was like all right i'll back off i'll back off somewhere i shiba
So I was like, all right, I'll back off.
I'll back off somewhere, Shiba.
You've got to be careful.
You've got to be careful when you're out there
because we don't offer workman's comp.
You know, I mean, you could ask.
I mean, we work for a JPEG of a dog.
I don't know what kind of insurance a JPEG of a dog can get
when we're out at these events.
It might be a little legal gray area.
So you've got to be really careful out at these events. I don't know, it might be a little legal gray area. So you got to be really careful out there.
Yeah, that's the reason I backed off.
Otherwise, I would have petted that samurai shiba.
Definitely finicky dogs, but so worth it.
I'm very glad that my shib, Kobi, he's very, very friendly
to everyone that wants to meet him as long as as
long as they let him smell them um 9.9 times out of 10 he's he wants all of the love
wow that's so cute and even who shared a photo photo with Toby. Toby is such an adorable dog.
Yeah, that picture was just earlier on our way here to NFT NYC.
We've actually, me and Toby have traveled to quite a few things over the years together.
I was doing some math last night and we're a little over 20,000 miles
travel across the U.S. for various reasons.
Wow, Toby's a good traveler. That's amazing.
I barely leave my house and Toby's traveling the world. Wow, I need to reevaluate my life.
Yeah, you have to come out to one of these IRL events and meet Toby.
Like, that's just what it is.
You'll have to come to the next Own the Doge event and we'll just come meet up.
Smoke told me, she's like, you should come out.
You don't have to. You don't have to you don't have to dodge you can
come out you can uh i don't know wear a dog costume i'm like oh wow thanks you want me to go
so i can wear a dog costume with like a giant dog head out there like meeting people like a giant
furry i i'm like i don't know about that i'm i'm all for it actually i'm in the process of getting
a doge pound um whole Mastock costume.
I would love to pop up here and 100% be a Doge Pound running around the streets.
That would be incredible.
You'll be at risk of a heat stroke.
But you know what, though?
This is the sacrifice we are willing to pay to bring the
culture to the people of New York.
We do what we gotta do, man.
I think it's a great idea.
I think it's a great idea.
Snapshot vote coming up. We're gonna load a snapshot
vote to see if we need to
get dog costumes for everyone that goes to
these from now on. Snaps snapshot loading uh get your ledgers out
that is hilarious but we would definitely love to have like a doge costume someday
um those costumes do stand out in events even though of course you are definitely gonna get
Of course, you are definitely going to get a heat stroke.
But I think with that, we reached to the end of this WooFigly.
Thank you, everyone, for joining.
Thank you, everyone, for hosting.
And, yeah, I'm sorry, Elon.
I'm not going to thank you.
Thank you so much. Elon, do better. Appreciate us. Yeah, do better, but we did it. Thank you so much.
But thank you so much for coming with.
Thank you, Louis, for spending the time.
