learn more about what you've been cooking and why you coming home to ApeChain with your collection.

collection from Ethereum over to Apechain.
We haven't actually announced it yet, but the migration is complete.
We're just working out a few bugs.
But yeah, we launched this collection back in 2022,
but that's when everything was crazy.
Gas wars were really high,
so we couldn't really launch any utility at that time.
So we've been looking at migrating the collection for quite
a while. But yeah, with other side coming out and Apechain having extremely cheap gas and everything,
we decided like that was the best bet. And we have the Fuku collection on Apechain too.
Man, those times, 2022, it was absolutely crazy. I that uh like average gas was like i don't know 100 150
guay uh but during the day man i i woke up usually earlier so i could like uh you know send nfts to
another wallet do some other stuff and these days it's like 0.5 or even less so it's changed a lot
and maybe you know you've been involved in nfts for a long time. So what do you think about the market right now?

Yeah, the NFT market right now, I think it's not looking great,
but I think there's a lot of potential for like,
especially for ApeChain and OtherSide
with projects being able to use their avatars
and then having different utility and being able to meet up
and do gaming and AMAs and stuff in other side i think
there's a lot of potential there as it grows obviously right now it's still you know still
picking up and they're rolling out updates and everything but um yeah once they roll out like
the land and the resources and more games and everything i think there's definitely a lot of potential there. But yeah, like NFT market overall is pretty cooked.
But yeah, I see it going up in the future.
I think Ethereum needs to go up a lot first.
And I think we need a lot of retail interest to come back to the space.
That's one thing that's lacking right now.
We're seeing the same thing for altcoins is, you know, they're just not doing well.
And that's just because of a huge
lack of retail interest overall yep yep a lot of people are picking nfts and are like nfts are dead
i'm like okay and check check out coins check everything right it's absolutely wild um i really
hope it's gonna happen man i'm i since since i met it by apePE even before in 2021, I love NFTs. It's crazy. I love collecting,

about what what is the mission what is it about man yeah so that was our first pfp collection from
journey club um so um yeah we launched that as the first pfp and then it's a collection up to
20 000 nfts and um so you you can burn a zolo crate to mint a new villager and we migrated those as well
so there's like 5 000 crates left so if you want to mint a new villager you can basically just
pick up one of those crates and then you go over to the planet zolo website and connect and then
you could burn the crate for a random villager uh there's still a couple one of ones left in the
mint as well so um yeah it's not just a migration
like you could still mint new nfts which is pretty cool but yeah we have like we had like a battle
game that was kind of like smash bros we're probably going to start fixing that up again
and get that live especially if we could like integrate that into other side at some point
but yeah we have some like utility planned and
we have like another like uh creatures collection that we never released uh we actually have the
first comic book that we're going to be releasing on the website a digital version like in the next
week uh so that's that's pretty cool we have like a lot of lore for it like we're trying to make it
like an ip kind of like pudgy penguins, but like have lore behind it.
So yeah, that's pretty cool.
Like we kind of followed the pudgy penguin path too.
Like we did like a bunch of gifts for Planetzilla.
There's like, I think there's 420 million views on those gifts already on just Giphy.
So like, yeah, we've been getting the IP out there, but yeah, like in terms of
NFTs, it's, it's a lot harder to, to get that out there, but we'd really like to expand the IP for
that and like, you know, get it into gaming. Like we have like plushies for that and merch and stuff.
So yeah, we, we'd like to get the IP out there in different ways and eventually if we could do like a show for
the collection that would be awesome but yeah like so far we have like one season worth of lore
and we have the first comic book ready. Oh cool so can you tell us a little bit more for the people
who are not familiar what's the lore about or what what is the what is the the backstory of the collection? Yeah, sure.
So it's like, basically it starts on Earth and it's like the year's 2069 and Earth is like completely destroyed and everything
and like the last of the humans have to escape.

How is it going?
Good, man.
I've been, to be honest, vibe coding something that's been a bit of a pain in the ass
because of the API infrastructure situation that we have as well
in the market right now in the ecosystem.
So basically it's like very limited right now, right?
We have little options.
And if they are available, they're going to be sunset soon.
So, but yeah, man, I'm working on a product that is going to be
utility cross chain basically for NFT collectors as a whole, trying to think big.
And hopefully I'll have that by January done.
And other stuff, man, we've got some partnerships for a travel company as well that have premium
memberships that cost almost 400 euros a year.
And we're negotiating to make that free for all holders so they can access those travel perks and stuff.

Could you give us a little overview?
What's the whole Journey Club ecosystem?
Yeah, so Journey Club originally launched at the end of 2021 as a pass.
So that's kind of like the past of the ecosystem where you get like
different mints and then like you earn points and get access to different collections and stuff
uh since then we've launched a pfp collection for journey club which is uh journeyers that's
on magic eden uh so you could burn the pass the journey pass to mint a journeyer as well. And then that's like the updated version of the journey pass.
And then we have a avatar for that coming really soon as well.
So that's on Ethereum.
And we have some other cool stuff for that.
We actually have a journey ecosystem token coming in quarter one.
And we have some cool mechanics and features built into the contract for that.
I'm sure you've seen like the NFT strategy tokens.
We're kind of like building in like a lesser version of that,
like into the actual ecosystem token.
So that should be pretty cool.
Like first of its kind.
But yeah, Journey Club, like, yeah, that like we've.
That's been out now since 2021.
And that gives like different utility as well.
Like we have like a crypto membership and having the NFT will give access to that if you don't want to like pay for a membership.

But then like, you know, for like, like board apes, like, I feel like that should still stay in ETH instead of like defaults to USD. I feel like the floor already dropped because of that.

How do you think about the near future?
Do you also want to attract people people outside of Web3 or,
you know, it's maybe too far away right now and it's better to focus on people in the space right
now? And what are your goals that you would like to achieve with a project?
Yeah, so like for Planet Zillow, that's what we're doing is like branching that out beyond
Web3. Like that's why we're doing all the GIFs and then like the comic book now
and merch and plushies and stuff and seeing what we can do with that.
It is hard to, you know, branch out outside of Web3
unless you have like connections and stuff and it's like a strong IP.
But yeah, like getting started with the GIFs, that's kind of what Pudgy Penguins did.
They have like, I don't know, it's like over 10 billion views on their gifts now something crazy but they also
they have like full-time gift makers they have like thousands of gifts so we kind of tried that
out and it did work like we do have like 400 something million views on those gifts um and
like random people will just use them just searching in the in the gift
search so that's pretty cool like people like obviously like you know they see the the characters
and stuff and like they're using them without even knowing what it is um so yeah like like with
planet zolo we're trying to get out outside of web 3 but like journey club is more like uh just
utility based and it's focused on Web3.
So with that, we're kind of, you know, staying in Web3, but like Planet Zolo, we're trying
to branch out.
And then we have Fuku on Ape Chain too, and we're trying to branch out with that to kind
of make it like a streetwear brand.
But yeah, that's mostly Web3 focused right now too.

Because I know you've been buying other deeds for some time quite early.
So what was your vision when you saw other side for the first time?
How did you feel about it and why did you go dead hardcore into it?
Yeah, so like Metaverse was obviously the hype at the time and
that was like an obvious strong utility case for the future of
NFTs. Being able to like use your avatars and like build and like do gaming and different stuff
within a metaverse is like obviously like I've seen that as like one of the best forms of utility
for NFTs. So yeah like we just started collecting to just hopefully be like one of the biggest uh
projects within the um within the ecosystem um even if like you know you can't do much with
your land but like you know like there's reasons to explore the land and everything
um and then like we have like you know our thousand other deeds like branded to journey
club and all of that like you know it's really going to help with visibility and different stuff
people can do and discover our ecosystem. So that's kind of
the idea we had was just have a big presence in the metaverse
and we saw other side as being the biggest
platform for metaverse. That's Web3.
Yeah, 100% man. platform for metaverse that's web3 yeah 100 man uh i'm i remember back in 2021 uh projects try to
follow basically same roadmap right like they were like token and metaverse but only uga actually
is building like real metaverse which is is dope. Estino mentioned early in this space
that he bet on the right horse.
Also, a lot of people, I don't know why,
probably maybe I know why,
because everyone is like financially involved
in this space, right?
They are really overreacting on everything
that's happening in this space,
no matter what's going on.
And I was doing a little research and I was talking with ChatGPT about the companies, like huge
companies and their products that, and now I'm not talking about other sites, but in general in Web3,
that might fail. But every failure or most of them actually led to another cool project or product, right?
Like the example of Google Wave, for example, they tried to reinvent email and it was a
bust.
It sucked, but it led to Google Docs, sheets and stuff that we've been using and paying
forever probably right now.
You know, Fire Phone by Amazon, another like bust, but it went to the team actually built Alexa, I think,
you know, which is absolutely wild.
And so on and so on.
You can see so many examples like that.
So it doesn't matter that we don't have Dookie Dash right now,
but I believe there are learnings from that
that might be useful in the future.
So I'm, you you know i'm happy that
projects are trying like now we have bayc store i'm so excited that everyone can get their merch
right we have two i think two token gated items those posters they are incredible so they are
also signed and limited so i love it uh we shouldn't be that that crazy guys here about um
like failure and and mistakes, because if the
projects keep going, that's what I love.
You know, that's why I'm bullish on Yuga and many, many, oh, maybe not many projects
anymore, but a lot of projects right now that kept going and never give up.

I also read that meta actually cut the budget

built something for, for nothing. So I think what I experienced in the other side,
it's incredible to hang out with my friends. It's much better than going for a Zoom call.

So yeah, I believe for projects, like if they bring their communities there
and they can co-op with other games, for example,
I see team here in the audience and so on,
it can be amazing for their holders.

storytelling, Other Side. So is the Other Side play one of the biggest
for your holders that you definitely want to build something there for them and have

be more for example like Yuga
they announced that there's going to be

just to see like how it's received and like
get that going and like
you know see if like
the story does well but yeah it's a good storyline overall and like we have like a whole
season worth of lore um so we're starting to roll it out within the comics first just to get that
going and then we'll probably start uh implementing like the lore and like the cities into other side
like we already have like cities designed for all the collections, so
that'll probably be, like, the first
thing we build in other side is, like, getting
those cities integrated
and getting avatars in
and then
just starting to build out from there, like, games
and using resources
for different stuff.

but there's there's just so much potential when you have that many deeds and that many resources
and biome uh environments at your disposal like shit dude there's got to be some crazy plans
coming for these cities right yeah yeah definitely that's why we're just trying to
like map it out and like see like what the best uh use case for the the land is at this point
but like when i i when i've been buying other deeds over time and dollar cost averaging like
uh resources was like a big focus for me just assuming like you know they're gonna be important
so yeah like our thousand other deeds they're like pretty resource
heavy too so uh really hoping like you know those are gonna have strong use case overall
like personally i think they're gonna make them like um actual like cryptocurrencies on ape chain
and then like have them tradable like in a in a marketplace in other side
like in a marketplace and other side.

Tokenized resources, you can harvest off your deeds
every so many blocks or something like that.

We've kind of seen that built by a couple folks out here
that are doing their own thing,
doing little small things in the space.
And that's one of the things where you can kind of roll around
and steal resources from other people's lands too, which I thought was really kind of cool.
So there's a lot of potential for that building gameplay loops around that kind of mechanic, I think, dude.

yeah I mean without knowing
like what we can use them for yet like
that's kind of what I recommend is like
you know anyone in NFTs
like get one other deed with a couple
resources on it you know especially
with how the nft space is looking right now like there's strong upside potential for that and like
especially being able to utilize the resources um but yeah um yeah one of my favorites is obviously
like chaos like we got like a really good chaos deed that's like close to the center i'm pretty sure so really looking forward to see like what you can do with
that yep that's that's on my bucket list probably like visually acid and chaos are are definitely
like the most visual amazing ones and of course uh we'll see what the how much overall the
location will play are you also somehow strategizing around that
so you said location yeah location yeah so we have two that are on Club Island
I think I minted both of those so So yeah, we're going to like utilize those for like as much as we can.
Like those are probably going to be like foot traffic heaviest.
So we'll probably build like the main cities on those and like, you know, utilize those the most depending on like what you could do with them.
But yeah, like yeah, that's one of the things I looked at when buying is location.
And then obviously resources was a big one too.
Yeah, I think what I messed up a little bit was focusing a lot on environment and not on resources.
not on resources, but we'll see.

And, yeah, man, can you tell us a little bit
about the migration process
and how you actually work with ApeChain team
and if any other collection want to migrate
from any other chain, right?
Because I think having a gaming collection on ETH
might be tricky, right?
As you mentioned early.
So migrating to ApeChain or Base, maybe i don't know not base but oh shit lost
gave me a middle finger so not not base just ape chain if you're migrating to ape chain
but how is the process man uh yeah it was more difficult because it wasn't just like a straightforward
migration for us because we have the crates too so it's like two collections we migrated and like the crates you could burn for the villagers in the new
collection so uh it was a little bit more difficult and like uh the villagers collection
is like one of the biggest collections out there in terms of like traits like we put like a ton of
work into that originally um so yeah it I mean, it was pretty straightforward,
but it did take quite a while to like plan it out
and make sure we did it right.
There was one other collection too.
Apechain told me about Fiends that they migrated from Ethereum.
And, you know, they said they had a good experience with it.
Like there's a lot more
support and volume and everything on the collection now um so yeah um it was pretty
straightforward my dev team like took the time to do the research and make sure we did it right
but yeah it's not too difficult to do it especially if you're just doing one
one smaller collection um migrating that as long as you
have like the the metadata and like the images and everything it's it's pretty straightforward
but what we did was basically we gave everyone notice and then we updated the images in the
villagers collection to an image like if you go to that collection on openc now you'll see it's
like an image that says like this collection has migrated to Ape Chain don't trade in this collection anymore and then um after that like you know we took a snapshot
at the same time and then basically we just airdropped the same NFTs on Ape Chain to all
the wallets because it's EVM so yes it's pretty straightforward and then we also airdropped uh
0.1 ApeCoin to every holder as well so then like they didn't have to
like get their own ApeCoin sent over for gas to do trades and stuff initially so
everyone can basically just go over to ApeChain from our collections and just
start trading. Oh that's clever man I it. That's awesome. Yeah. Yeah.
I'm going to be doing a video later today too, kind of going over all that.
Like I said, we haven't announced it yet.
So not too many people have listed or anything yet.
But I'm going to be doing a video going over switching to Ape Chain and then listing the NFT, how Ape works for gas and all of that

already have it they just have to switch the network.
And they already have the small amount of ApeCoin
so they can immediately start trading.
But yeah, we wanted to do it that way.
So it wasn't like we have like a burn and mint window open forever
because there's a lot of people that just, you know,
like they just like abandoned the space and everything.
Like we get people coming all the time.
They're, like, they come back after, like, six months or whatever, and they just check in, you know?
So we didn't want to have to keep, like, a mint window open forever.

Sorry. I just want to make sure everything was working the way it should. It looked like selfies were working and all sorts of stuff. So that made me happy. Yeah, so a couple things. Kodakim works a little bit differently than folks may think. We'll store it into a gallery on Web2, actually like in an S3 bucket that we're holding for everybody.
Then you can go into your gallery and choose which ones you want to mint.
That way it prevents you from like accidentally taking a picture or just wasting a bunch of like mint stuff and things like that.
So we just added a little bit of stuff there and added a small minting fee.
It's 5-8 just because we wanted to add a little extra friction again
so people aren't spamming it with just, you know,
just tons of stuff and everything like that,
wherever you give someone an area to,
for someone to grief something, they'll do it.
So we just added a little bit of friction there to,
to actually mint them, but you can still have them all to, to, you know,
to to look at and stuff like that. So I'm happy to hear feedback.
You know, I think,
I think we'll probably get some UI UX feedback on all this stuff and we'll
make changes as we go.
So if you get frustrated, we understand.
Just pointing out things ahead of time.
Like, look, we moved the profile to the P button.
I'm hitting tab all the time.
It keeps pulling up the map.
I have to get used to the new changes.
But better to do the changes now than to do them later,
once everybody really gets comfortable with stuff.
So you can add markers onto the map and things like that,
which I think is really good.
And then there's the toggle to remove the player names
while you're just playing the game.
You just press Escape.
And then I think you go, I don't even
know where you go to do it at.
Oh, here.
It's under the graphics settings.
You just toggle that on or off.
And then you can kind of enjoy the world with no one's names
and stuff.
So yeah. That's so good.

yesterday I just went for
the train ride and I spent there
