from a photograph that I took. Um, I took it at night. I was in Philly. I was, I was in Philly.
I had just got off the train. Me and my cousins were going down to a music studio in the hood.
Like, you know, it was a dope ass, like million dollar studio with all kinds of studio rooms in it. Tons of people there.
Um, and we were on our way to this studio and, um, it was complete black. There was streetlights.
There was like barely any streetlights on this block. It was dark as fuck. It was creepy.
The streets were super quiet. You know what I'm saying? freaking um uh that that that sun it wasn't sunny
out it was nighttime but i used a light there was a street light that was out there and i freaking
took not the street light i mean like one of those uh the you know the the the well yeah sidewalk
light a street light yeah pretty much the the lamps you know the but the but the but the the
the inner city kind that they have in like philly and new york city and shit like that so i took that
light and i freaking removed the pole and all of that shit and just kept the bulb and i made it
look like a sun it looks like the streets of the bahamas i want to live in the bahamas but when i
look deserted right that shit looked bahamas and it's it looked deserted but there was actually people living
and thriving and shit it was just it was just that i just happened to get that i just happened
to get that specific block when i took the picture it just happened to be it was really late at night
it was like fucking one in the morning or something like that
yeah dude and i'm freaking and and i did that and that was done
that picture was taken back in like back in my oh eight or something
and then this and then that you know this the, the soul queen is a depiction of my mom.
Uh, like, you know, cause she was part, she was, uh, she was, uh, in the, um, in the, the soul club and part of, uh, you know, a group of people who stood for rights of all, of all, of all people,
you know what I'm saying? When she was in school and she was a part of a lot of movements and stuff
like that. And my, her and my aunts and, you know, you know, like When she was in school and she was a part of a lot of movements and stuff like that.
And my her and my aunts and, you know, you know, like out here in Las Vegas and shit and all the way to New York City.
And my aunt, my great aunt that still is alive, that lives in New York City.
My great aunt, she marched with Martin Luther King.
And so, you know, like we have a family that's really deeply embedded in history.
Our grand, my great grandfathers, the great family that's really deeply embedded in in history our grand
my great grandfathers the great greats um they are embedded in history they've been been part
of some of the most revolutionary movements that have ever happened in this world so um but i pulled
this piece of art uh out of out of a bag from my heart because i was thinking about my mom
and i and i went back into a bag of when they had like afros,
you know what I'm saying? And like, you know, like when it was just a frequency and they were
putting out love vibes, soul vibes. And so I drew this on, like I said, on black paper with white
pencils. And then I decided to add a little color into it, you know, a little brown just to kind of bring that cultural aspect of brown people, of colored people, you know what I'm saying, to add to the afro.
Because our hair, if you've ever looked at a black person's hair in the sun, you'll notice that our hair is actually not black.
It just looks black.
It's actually dark ass brown.
And you can ask anyone, you can look at any black person's hair under the sun. It's like a reddish brown. That's ancestral. That goes back thousands of years. You know, they've wanted to call us black and tell us we're black. But the fact is, is we're not. You know what I'm saying? We're aboriginal. We're aboriginal freaking people from the African and the Indian bloodline.

Therefore, we have bloodlines from my grandmother was from the Blackfoot Indians.
My great-grandmother on my biological dad's side.
She's a black.
She was like more than half Blackfoot Indian.
So I probably got some deep Indian roots in my bloodline.

But we've got also Cherokee bloodline
in our family. It's been rooted. I've had several family members do the ancestral,
you know what I mean? So it gets deeper than what people realize. And so when I created this piece,
it was all, I pulled from all of that. And then just to kind of add to the essence of it,
I threw a little background in the back to make essence of it, I threw a little, like, a little, uh,
background in the back to make it look like, you know what I'm saying, it was like a distant
background, like mountains, like, almost like she was, like, you know, standing in front of a,
of a river or ocean or a lake or whatever, you know what I'm saying, whatever your mind would
take you to, and, uh, you know what I'm saying, just, uh, and I did a glitch of it, and, um, I
never put the glitch out, then i signed it i physically
signed it if you see in the very bottom corner that i did all that um on paper
she's beautiful so you know like i i love i love uh creating um being an artist so i really do
um loving and and damn did you was just here. I didn't even see him coming here.
I really do love and truthfully believe in art and creativity and artists out here on the blockchain as well.
