Thank you. Oh, shit. I had forgotten.
I had forgotten that I had my volume all the way down because I was in another space and I didn't want to hear it.
I love the opening there.
Instead of opening with welcome to presently present with mama and papa, it's oh shit.
Well, I dropped my phone.
We're going to change the name of the space to, oh shit, with mama and papa.
Well, I mean, some days it is like that.
No, I'm doing some stuff outside real quick, but I'll be back.
How's your day going now?
It's better now because I'm here?
But it's better because I'm here
Rather than on a conference call.
I'd rather be on this call than conference calls.
Well, I feel like I have a nicer voice anyway than the people in your conference calls.
Do you have any chicks in your conference calls?
Well, none of them are cool anyway, babe.
So I wrote four parole letters today.
I have not done yours yet.
Are you wanting to do one or not really?
I mean, I'll sign whatever.
Dude, I didn't'll sign whatever.
Dude, I didn't even sign mine.
I just emailed it over because it's just an email.
But it has to come from your email is the point.
So make sure that you give them your work email so that they know that you're somebody somebody really important i don't have one of those i'm not cool
so i i shouldn't like you know uh have the email address for like you know f12 that oh god no What kind of person are you?
I personally love the police.
You're fucking naughty for that.
How about my. How about my.
That's the one that gets people riled up there you go yeah i have to tell you about this
hilarious thing so on august 3rd which was two days ago historic vids said in 1967 woody allen
tried to embarrass model twiggy and it backfired. I literally said that guy was so creepy.
That's what I'm talking about. You just never
know what's going to hit.
Just how it is just I don't understand
what's that chick's name that you really liked
from the previous community
and she like walks out and says good morning
and bounces her titties while she walks
um what the hell is her name
babe come on you know her name
I'm just trying to, like, you know, it's a skit.
I think you're talking about Eva.
It's funny because you say, like, I've never interacted with her.
So when I commented, and I literally had eight, like, porn star chicks follow me right away.
I'm kind of rich and ready to help the poor ones.
Not everyone has the opportunities.
Okay, what's the other one say?
I like to have fun with grown men who are respectful.
I'm into hookup and I sell content hot sexy lady. I like to have fun with grown man who are respectful. I'm into hookup and I sell content message me
Thanks for being a great huge fan
Let's have fun star eyes heart peach and a
Zucchini or whatever the hell that's called a plant what is that thing called it's a
zucchini right she drank with the eggplant eggplant yes wow
so just say no if you engage with her you automatically get those kind of people following you.
I know that it's only Tuesday.
But I want you to think about the last week.
Like from Tuesday to Tuesday.
Because there's always a week. Right? Because because when people are like how's your week then oh it's only tuesday well technically you've already there's a week
before today you know what i mean okay i mean fair enough yeah how how have the last seven days been but it's still been it's still a
week back so what does it matter but anyways what's one thing that helped you grow this week
even if you felt uncomfortable at the time i was reading this earlier and i was like huh
i'm gonna ask papa what's the thing that helped you grow this week screaming children helped you grow yeah that's
exciting all right yeah and they helped you grow in what way to maybe handle it a little better without reacting. Oh, nice. Okay.
Maybe exposure therapy, maybe?
That's a really good one.
I'm proud of you for that.
I even got praise from you.
Well, because I was watching you and I felt really bad.
And I was also trying to provide you with tools because I felt like you were like kind of spiraling and didn't know what to do.
So I was just like, hmm, how can I help?
That's how hard you are with me.
Puglies in your ears. Puglies in your ears.
Yeah, but I think sometimes when you're in that, like, crazy moment,
if something's not comfortable or chaotic or upsetting,
then it's hard to remember about those tools that you have.
So sometimes it's nice that somebody can just be like, hey, check this out.
I don't know that I've had any growth in the last week.
I feel a little overwhelmed today.
But I think that is because I'm spreading myself too thin.
So unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to grow by making a schedule.
And you know I'm not a schedule person.
I just don't like that. It's also about remembering because sometimes I'll just like
let the day get away from me. I'm like, oh my God, I haven't even checked in Discord.
And then I'm like, oh my God, I haven't checked on the other discord. Cause now I'm pretty much on two discord duties.
And then I'm supposed to be reaching out to people, um, to bring them into the chat ops.
I just feel very scattered today.
So I was thinking maybe I need to have, like, you know what I mean?
Like, even if it's timers for me so that I can know I need to go work in this account at that time or don't forget about your be present account.
And I think that sometimes when I go work in the be present account, I feel bad because I'm like doing something for myself.
I mean, I don't know how, like, it's not really doing something for yourself.
Not a whole lot, I don't think.
I mean, do you think it's doing something for yourself? Well, yeah, because when I get to 5 million impressions,
then I will have it monetized so that I can start getting a paycheck.
For doing what I'm already doing.
Because essentially my mama bear account,
I've just neglected it so much because of trying to do so many other things to earn money that I haven't been growing it.
And so now it's really stagnant, which sucks because people actually don't even see me right now.
That's one reason our spaces have been struggling, which is so interesting because I worked so hard to get it to where it
was. And then I just went off and started working on other things. I tend to do that though, which
is very, yeah. It's all about introspection, I guess. Is that the word? Introspection?
Anyways. Yeah. What? Do you see who's here?
I saw they had a massive space today.
I always forget how to say that project.
I always want to say moccasin.
Yeah, I saw that they had a huge space going on a little while ago.
And we got CryptoFam Radio who is actually doing their space right now.
I hope that's from days ago.
yeah, he's been doing his the same time.
Yeah, he's been doing his the same time.
I was trying to look and see
what space he's doing right this second.
Yeah, it's Happy August Birthdays,
Shilla Favorite Project, $50 in Weed Giveaway.
So I think that that's where we...
I think some people are everywhere
I haven't seen much movement on the timeline
though to be honest with you
busy at work that I really
haven't even been out there
watching things much less posting I know I haven't
I haven't even really replied I hit the
like button a few times whenever I see
something when I pop on for
it is what it does I was thinking about the whole I just haven't. Yeah. Oh, well.
I was thinking about the whole... Yesterday we were talking about creating versus consuming.
And I think the problem when you consume, consume, consume is just...
Or the other way around, you get drained i that's how i feel i
feel like i get drained energetically and so that's where i was like you know taking a step
back from from that i think is is actually a good thing. So.
That's, it makes sense to me.
I think, um, just in general, though, things are a little bit different and I'm just trying to, um, I don't know.
I'm not, I'm not trying to be hard on myself about like being out there, you know, it is
I'm not trying to be hard on myself about being out there.
I have been thinking a lot about, since we talked yesterday,
about the Green Pill Collective, though,
and what that could look like and how people could make money from it, essentially.
One of my ideas was actually if they had a, again, and this is just me spitballing, but if I had a project, I would
really encourage people to engage, which could be with the Green Pill Collective account.
And if that account was actually monetized, then money proceeds from that monetization
could then go back into the community.
That was one of my ideas.
And I actually like that.
I think that that would make sense.
But then it's like, it would just have to be like me volunteering.
Oh my God, babe babe big balls is trending the last space that I was just in um it's because they did a coin for big balls but so I don't know
if you heard about this but there was a a woman um he was she was assaulted by eight attackers
um and this one guy actually stepped in and tried to help in DC.
And actually Trump is so pissed about it.
He said that it's totally out of control.
And with the youths and the gang members randomly attacking people.
I'm going to exert my power and federalize this city,
make America great again.
If that was like the only federal territory.
Well, it is federal territory.
But isn't it still considered a state?
federalized, then why did he say that?
Then why did he say that?
basically saying that he's going to
the people who were elected
isn't actually doing something
Okay, babe. Is this fair or
unwanted pets to be donated to
feed their captive predators.
I, like, have to be quiet because if somebody hears me, I'm going to get in trouble.
Okay, this is what it says.
Because, I mean, a paladin being, you know, from Denmark, and then there's the um you know feeding
unwanted animals you know to like for food that the kids will be like they're gonna do what
and start crying that would be bad oh my god babe you're making me feel even worse
it's somebody's dumb ass circle of life
like you know what we don't want Fluffy anymore
Fluffy's shedding too much
we're going to head over to the zoo and donate it
so it can be eaten by one of the tigers
oh god we live in a crazy world.
I don't know about today, though.
It's just been one of those days.
That's what everybody else has been doing. That's what I want to know
Yeah well Pads is coming up here to talk to us
Joe Mama's doing something outside
We have to leave him alone
I'm waiting I need to go in
In our room and break down all the
Boxes in there I feel like I live in a box
Hi Pads Hi In our room and break down all the Boxes in there I feel like I live in a box Hi pads
I think there's something
That's a British way of saying,
Okay, so shite's not really bad.
Yeah, it's more comedic, I think.
just think everyone I know is just a bit stressed at the minute.
I don't know if there's something in the air.
I wonder if there's some kind of an energy shift right now
i feel like everything's just a little off you know it's crazy i actually got a message i just
i just saw aj down there and i did get a message back um from meme coin creator and he said yes
absolutely i could help and yes i have the I have the Rodecaster too. Sorry I missed this. I've been swamped the past few days in dev work.
And I know he's in Dubai, AJ.
So if you're here and you're listening, I did ask him if I could create a group chat with the two of you.
And I think I'm just going to go forward and do that.
So if you see yourself in a group chat with the dude, it's because I'm being assertive.
Shout out AJ as well Yeah he is listening
So shite is just kind of blah
I think the weather's been mud as well
What's it been like where you are
I know you've had lots of storms there, haven't you?
No, we've actually been very calm and sunny.
I feel like it's been pretty nice out.
Yeah, I do see that we might have some rain coming in,
but I doubt it'll even be considered rain.
It'll probably just be a little bit of sprinkles, but I love the smell of it.
So I hope we do get something. Brilliant. or drain it'll probably just be a little bit of sprinkles um but i love the smell of it so i hope
we did get something brilliant i always i think forget how big america is because like you've
had there's been loads of flash floods and stuff but it's like a continent at the end of the day
isn't it um yeah but yeah i've had some freak weather over here. I think everyone has as well. Wind.
Oh, a lot of wind. That's what I still mean at the minute.
I don't even know where it's coming from.
All my plants are getting battered.
I've had to like sell it to my plants to the walls.
Do you have to like kind of like stake them in order for them not to lean?
um yeah at the minute so like a lot of the ones i've got uh indoor plants but i've got them outside
because it's summer in like inverted you know like sarcastic fingers and it's not it's not
really summer it's as i say it's just weird weather. Loads of rain.
Does it rain a lot there in the summertime?
This year's been mad, like, drops.
Just keeps going up and down in temperature and stuff.
It's annoyed me because I've been trying to transplant some, you know, like, ivy, like, onto the wall.
And it's just starting to root in, but it's like, they're fragile.
All of a sudden, it's like hurricane season.
Do you guys get hurricanes there?
Just bad politicians and increasingly worse fish and chips.
Oh my God, that sounds so good.
Babe, did you just hear that?
Dude, that sounds so good.
You've got that in the States though, fish and chips. that sounds so good you've got that in the state though fish and chips yeah we do yeah we do yeah which is funny because we don't call them chips but we we do if they're served with fish yeah it's really funny
it's the only time we call them chips yep which is kind of weird but Yeah that's what they usually Fries is it?
Which evidently they're not even French
So I'm always confused about words
This is the story of Europe
It's just loads of like secret
yeah because I know one of my mates
I don't know where he went to
I think it was like Atlanta or somewhere like weird
chips and they brought out
they give him like a steak and like
so he just had like a steak and crisps
something that a psycho would get on like death row or something.
What is your favorite food pads?
Like what is your get down?
Do you like like different kinds of cuisines or is there something you grew up on that you're like, oh my God, that's that's the stuff right there.
I do like pizza just because it's easy.
It's like loads of variety, not too much hassle.
I like a lot of Asian food as well.
I'm a bit like, I'll take take it i'll leave it with food i just feel like i just i have to eat it so i just do i mean but there's i don't know if i really have an opinion right either way yeah
i like i like a good breakfast food um but where we are they don't serve Breakfast everywhere
Well they do but they don't
I need a place that I can go get some
Have you ever had a full English breakfast?
Don't you guys have beans?
Yeah Be beans are amazing like are they are they sweet beans um you know they're in tomato sauce so they are it's just like a kind of beans
that'll do you that that's like the food of warriors i mean like when i was working in
australia it was like 40 degree heat in the desert and stuff like that and then i just had
all the beans some toast okay and that was it and that would that will do you know it'll keep you
alive it's not necessarily like i'm not saying it's going to get a mixture of water.
I don't, so it's interesting too, because again, we have my,
my son's girlfriend is here from, from Denmark and they eat,
they don't necessarily like eat, eat breakfast for breakfast.
Like, her big thing she loves is, like, some kind of bread with avocado, maybe an egg on it,
but it's not, like, here we're so into, like, having cereal, and Papa says, they don't,
you guys don't ever eat cereal over there really for breakfast or like oatmeal
yeah do you eat cereal over there
I just go smash some coffees and usually give myself a migraine on the speedrun.
But, like, no, like, that's a common thing.
People have cereal and stuff.
So do you drink a lot of...
Do you just drink your coffee black?
Yeah, I've been, I've just been proper degening it recently.
Do you know the little sachets you get?
So it's just powder and then you pour in the hot water like you're done.
But when I'm'm when I'm being
kind to myself I do I have like right right right yeah that'll be like breakfast um
consider I think breakfast in England is like one of the more considerable meals. Okay. Because like we structure it.
So you have like breakfast, lunch, say, and then like dinner and then tea.
And then like afternoon tea you could have as well.
And then you have like supper.
Like I personally, I've not got the time for that but like yeah i guess weird have
you ever heard the when people say tea instead yes oh you're staying for tea yeah so i have um
over at creek crew um i call him my boss he's a lot younger than me, whatever. But anyways, Grim, he actually lives in the UK.
And he always tells me, okay, I'm going to go have some tea.
And you're like, well, I'll see you in five minutes.
He's like, no, I'm in dinner.
I don't want to take up this entire space.
We don't even have. I'm a weird Englander. We don't want to take up this entire space. Dude, you're good. We don't even have...
We don't have a weird Englander.
We don't have anything major we're doing.
I figured I'd touch base with people.
If it has a different kind of vibe,
we decide to end it early, whatever.
I saw you said you wanted to jump on a call too,
so maybe we'll be able to do that
if I get off the space early so yeah definitely no um definitely and the stuff you said about gpc before
i agree with i'm just uh i've not honestly like this um last two weeks and stuff Yeah totally
I know I was glad that we got
I did oh I should put that up at the top
I did put that up later in the day
Because that's when I had gotten it
Yeah I'll put it up there at the top.
I tagged Solana Strays too, and they didn't respond with anything.
So I told myself that's what I'm actually going to do from now on is I'm not going to keep running after people.
I'm just going to move on to the next one.
It was just taking too much of my energy
and I was worrying about something I don't have time for.
Was it the chat ops one I sent you?
check in or do something right
because it's no longer China.
I'm trying to remember which one
I had even sent you guys.
Yeah, I sent you the chat.
No, I sent you the GreenPill Collective Discord.
Fuck, I didn't even check that one.
I'm trying to get people over into the chat ops discord too. Um, cause I want my people to actually be hooked up. Like,
I know that sounds ridiculous, but I don't care. I'm just straight up about it. Like I want my,
my family, my people who are actually being, um, you know, showing up every day. And I want them to be able to get, you know what I mean?
Like be involved and get good shit from it.
I'm going to try to tag you.
I was trying it in the wrong one.
I'm not, I'm still not seeing you there.
Just try to join again and see what happens
I like what I've seen from
Yeah, you got to jump over in there We'll get you a roll Just going to say, I like what I've seen from chat-ups. Yeah. It looks like I like what they're doing.
Yeah, you've got to jump over in there.
I got some GPC rolls to give to people, too.
And it's just from the X community, you know.
Did you hear what I asked Papa earlier, though?
Have you had anything that helped you grow this week,
even if you were uncomfortable with it?
Did you think of anything when I said that?
Yeah, I guess without going into too much detail,
there's some IRL stuff that just makes you think you could lose something or you know it just makes you realize
you're lucky or something totally that makes any sense um yeah and then just that kind of initial
fear and then just the things getting over the anxiety but i think like i'm trying yeah i'm trying
to be conscious that to be fair like listening to your spaces and um
like you and babs and stuff like that it's
i don't know how to explain it really but yeah i'm more conscious of like being present and aware
of stuff nice which is quite good so i guess that's helped me to grow as well yeah you're
all guys yeah totally no i i think that's good i. I was telling Papa, I guess for me, and I haven't done it yet, but I've been thinking a lot about it a lot lately about just being more organized.
Because I tend to be pretty, I don't know, like down on myself, you know.
Sorry, I got a call I need to make sure that I um you know I'm taking care of what I need to
take care of but also getting other shit done so I think I just need to break it up into different
blocks we got ink spire in here what's up ink spire doing good how's it going good good how's
life it's going good I can't complain um speaking with the family today
they're doing pretty good um grandpa's really not doing too well he has dementia so like
family's like taking shift like taking care of him but other than that everything else has been
going pretty well oh yeah that's really hard I used to um work with people with
dementia and Alzheimer's and dude there's just I don't know does he have a really difficult time
like in the evenings and stuff that that's the thing right now he's needed help with everything
like um they told me he's having like a really hard time walking and stuff and he's always been
like the type of person to over work himself.
Even when the doctor said he relaxed.
So I know like for the past few years, he's been having strokes, just overworking himself when he should have been relaxing.
And I guess things are really like catching up with him.
I mean, there's no, nothing to say to anybody,
especially when they're, you know what I mean? Going through any kind of family stuff. I do
commend you guys though, all for gathering together as a family and, you know, trying to
help them out. Cause there's a lot of people who, you know, wouldn't be able to do that. And it is
really hard work too. I'm not judging anybody who does put their family into any kind of an
assisted facility or anything either.
it's not only emotionally,
it's a lot to watch somebody that you really love decline.
But it's also very physically demanding.
People don't realize like you can,
some patients become combative and you know,
they're just so disoriented all the time.
you're going through that, dude. It sucks. It's fine. With time, things will get better.
You're right. You're totally right. Yeah. It's funny too, because I think that it's, um,
there's some people who deal with things differently. Um, I always, and it's such a
stupid thing to worry about, but I always worry
about how my oldest T-WOP is going to do whenever I do have my own decline or when things, you know,
when it changes for me to no longer be here on this earth. And I think he's the one who's going
to have the hardest time just because watching my other two and how they've dealt with loss and how they deal
with things in general, T-Wepson tends to get very angry and separate himself. And I just think it's
so interesting how we all just deal with things in such a different manner. We can all be in the
exact same situation and we all just deal with things differently. So, yeah. Yeah, I definitely
know the feeling because like, as far as my family goes, we've all lived together in New York. So yeah. Yeah. I definitely know the feeling. Cause like, um, as far as my family goes,
we've all lived together in New York. So we're all like close by, but I'm kind of the one that's
often on my own. So everybody else is a lot closer while I kind of move from different
States and stuff, just doing my own thing. So it's kind of hard in the sense of where even in the group
chats where they were having a conversation, I've had my thoughts and stuff, but I really don't know
how to articulate how I feel. And it's not something I've really talked about in the group
chat, just individual family members too directly. Yeah. So are you kind of like, you're just like the strong and steady one who just goes
from place to place and they just know you're there, but are you expected to have like some
kind of role like within the family or do you take on a role within the family? I don't know
if I would say strong. It's more just finding my way and not giving up would probably be the best way to say it. But I would say I'm the black sheep.
So a lot of the things that the family do are partaking.
I kind of have my own path where at the same time,
even explaining it to them,
a lot of times they don't understand where I'm coming from.
So totally that that's how,
and it's funny because it's actually on both sides of my family that is like that. So I most of the time do stuff on my own. Right. Right. Well, I can see
that. And I feel like you're, you know, you're young and you're driven. Um, I feel like you kind
of have that entrepreneurial mindset. Like if you, if you're interested in something, you go all in,
um, that's what I've observed from you. And I feel like you're pretty,
I don't know, I think we've talked about this before. You seem militant to me, like you
definitely did serve. And I think that you did tell me that for sure. But I think that's just,
yeah, it's part of your personality. You have that, you know, the respect aspect of things.
And you're just, I don't,
I don't want to say headstrong, because that sounds rude, but I'm not saying it rude. Do you
know what I mean? I just feel like if you got your mindset on something, it's what you're going to do.
So yeah, I am that type of person. Like, I don't go to the movies much. But if it's something I
really like, and I'm like, hey, I want to go to the movies and no one goes. I would definitely go by myself and have jumped as much as a good time.
I think people lack that, dude.
People lack the fact of, you know, you always having to have somebody with you.
I mean, I think it's a strong, it's a good thing to have that for sure.
Because there's a lot of people who have to have somebody with them at all times or
have to have that constant recognition or validation from others.
And I think it's a strong attribute to not have to be validated all the fucking time, you know, just to be able to do you.
I think that Papa's like that, too. And you said you're not the only child, huh? Interesting.
I'm the oldest, but by the time my parents had kids, I have a gap between them.
So like my sister, we both have the same birthday.
So our birthday is actually tomorrow, but we're 15 years apart.
Yeah. Then on my dad's side, my brother, one of my brothers, we're six years apart.
He's around like the same age as my cousin.
And then my youngest brother is the same year, like around the same age as my sister.
So by the time they started having kids, we're just so far apart in terms of like
age and life that it's kind of hard. Right, right. It's funny that you say that. Papa and I were just
talking about this yesterday. Maybe it was the day before he said, well, if there's a certain
age gap between children, it's pretty much like they're the only child, you know, because you,
you're literally starting over. It trips me out when people do that. But, um, cause I was trying
to understand like what the dynamics were with my grandkids cause nine, seven, and then almost three.
Um, but they, he kind of tends the little one, the two-year-old, he goes and does his own thing a lot.
And I think there's two parts to that. You know, he's the youngest, he's independent. He wants to do everything everybody else does.
But at the same time, there's not that closeness and age to where, you know, he wants to sit down
and play with his, okay, they don't want to sit down and play with him. You know what I mean?
Like he wants to play the video games and do all of the things. But Papa was saying that when
there's a pretty big age gap,
then it might as well just be an only child. Or that's the way it kind of feels.
Yeah. It's like my sister, she's more into fashion, so we don't have much to talk about
about that. But she does TikTok too and has her own page. So we talk about that. My brother, before he had my niece, he liked to party.
So we would hang out the most because we would just party together, like at family gatherings and stuff.
Because on my dad's side of the family, they like party, party.
And then my youngest brother, he plays video games, which I play too.
But he plays a lot of these newer ones.
And his hand-eye coordination is really slow.
So a lot of the games I play, he gets frustrated and says everything moves too fast.
So the newer games have kind of kicked back on that, huh?
They basically do everything for you.
You can play really drunk and just sweep through everybody. It's actually pretty fun when you're lazy. That's awful. You can play really drunk and just sweep through
everybody. It's actually pretty fun when you're lazy.
Yeah, I was watching them play
damn game you guys were playing, babe? With the blocks?
Are you talking about Minecraft?
Minecraft. I don't get it, you guys.
I do not get it. I just don't get it. I don't get it you guys I do not get it I just don't get it I don't get what we're
doing with little squares and um it seems like very compartmentalization yep that's what you
guys are doing you're compartmentalizing your your uh thoughts it's not healthy babe
I mean I don't get it though like truly I don't get it, though.
So maybe that's why it doesn't interest me either.
I saw Weedcoin come up here.
I saw Ink Spire, which I just talked to.
We got Pad still up here.
And we got Mr. Mountain Dew.
How's it going? Mountain Dew. How's it going?
You know, he might actually be in his own space right now.
I swear I saw Crypto Fam Radio hosting his own space right now.
I'm going to go look this up and it's 444.
Is this Jew from the Greenfield Flected?
Jew, what's going on, fam?
How's it going, Mama Bear?
You know, only when somebody's busy is when I call on them.
I was trying to put away my dinner and my cooler.
I'm up on the mountain right now. It's a gift that I have. I only call on people when they're busy. Yeah. I was trying to put away my dinner and my cooler up on the mountain right now.
It's a gift that I have. I only call on people when they're busy.
It's like, I'm trying to make a sandwich. And I was like, I'm going to put this back in the floor before it warms up too much.
Yeah. I don't want to get food poisoning again.
Oh God. Food poisoning sucks. So where in the mountains are you? I saw the other day you were camping.
Yes, ma'am. I am up in Colorado, Colorado Springs.
There's some mountains up here.
And a lot of people camp up here, actually.
I've been finding that out.
You're like, how the hell are there so many people up here?
But usually they're only for the weekend.
Then they leave, but then they come back on the weekends.
But then it's just not people.
There's other things up here in the mountains as well, fam.
I got attacked by a bear a few nights ago, actually.
It stormed our camp, raided my cooler.
I swear, Mama Bear, it was like a crime scene gone wrong.
All the contents inside my cooler were eaten.
The bear had somehow unlatched the handle for my car.
And I guess my neighbors, they were saying that this bear was going to each an individual car and trying to unlock it to see what's inside.
He sounds like some of the prowlers in my neighborhood.
I was like, uh, somehow it found the cooler inside my car and then proceeded to grab onto
it and dragged it out of the car and down the mountain side.
And, uh, finally was able to open it.
And then, you know, obviously all the contents inside were inhaled by the bear itself, but
there was, you know, there's some carrots left some you know
spoiled eggs that sort of thing had to wash it out after but yeah pretty much the entire contents
was uh was gone I was just gonna ask that I would be nervous to have like bear saliva
like can you catch something from them like what's going on here um I don't know I don't know I just
threw everything away just Just sprayed down the
cooler real good and put more ice in it and more food. That's all I couldn't really do.
Is that what I think? Tell people to put them in a tree or to hang them from a tree?
Yeah, your trash. You're supposed to. Oh, the trash. Okay. Because they smell the trash. Yeah.
In the camp. And then they'll try to get your tent. And he actually messed up my tent as well.
He was trying to get inside it.
Actually I've got a photo here.
I would freak the fuck out.
Have you ever been camping before?
And I don't plan on doing it again.
So yeah. I do. I think. doing it again. I don't do it very well. So, um, yeah, I do. I think
I love nature. I think nature is beautiful and, um, but I'm definitely a glamper at this point
in my life. So, um, but yeah, how, so do you go up there for like the whole summer? What are you,
what are you doing? Well, currently, one second, I just posted to the jumbotron i see i'm looking right now you are
kidding me oh my god dude i would look at those claw marks look at those claw marks no crazy i
did move sites so there's another campsite i went to because i was like and it was really windy up
there too uh but right now currently i'm doing elevation training so i'm training for the pike's peak marathon happening in the spring september 21st and so the central bros lives in the springs as
well i don't know if you knew that yeah he camped with me a few nights ago so he actually camped
the night the bear attacked my tent actually and raided my cooler yeah he was so funny so funny
because you could see the uh the bear marks from his uh from his suv from his truck and you could
see that the the bear was actually trying to get in his car too but he was smart enough you locked
it fan oh my god i'm just yeah and and they're not nice like if you were to go out there and like say don't do
that go home they won't listen um apparently there are a few other campers down the road
banging pots and stuff trying to scare the bear away the bear wasn't very big I think it's a black
bear obviously so you can see for the claw marks there he wasn't very big but he was quite nifty uh able to unlatch my car and drag
the cooler halfway down the mountainside so dude that is amazing to me i i watch these videos
especially of panda bears and i know we're not talking about panda bears but all bears to me are
cute and they're so big and they don't realize how big they are and i see them just kind of like
hanging on a branch and the whole thing is about to just eat shit.
God, that would, I would be scared.
Yeah, that would be crazy.
So do you think that they've just become so accustomed
to the people being in their area?
They're like, I don't give a shit.
I'm not afraid of you. Totally. Totally. This bear has definitely
done the rounds. You can tell he probably raids someone every weekend. And he's just, you know,
he's like, who didn't unlock their car tonight? You know, and he just checks everyone every single
weekend. And that's when the most people show up right so obviously when more people are here the
bears are gonna come out right so weekdays are fine it's just the weekends you got to be really
cognizant about and then there was like there was a group of campers not too far down the road for
me like I swear at least 10 cars 10 can they must have all gone to the same church or something but
they were like partying it up down the road.
And I was like, Ooh, hopefully everything's okay on that side of the mountain.
But yeah, it was just so busy this past weekend, fam.
But I'm glad things have calmed down since then.
Like I said, I've got a new site now.
I've been doing wet plates all day.
These little tin type photography.
I don't know if you guys saw that.
I just posted a few up there of my rig, my
seirdrop, my car. Yeah, you can see that. Yeah. So I'm trying to dial it in right now.
I took another shot. I think I posted, did I post in comments already? Yeah. I took another
one as well. I'll post it. Oh, I see this. Okay. There's your shooting plates. Okay. So can you tell me I'm clueless, bro?
Help me out here. You're good. I love sharing with people. I'll post it to the Jumbotron here
too. This is the other plate I just finished. So as you can see, I'm dialing it in fam.
I overexposed the top plate and this is, um, these are like film cameras right you can buy them off ebay four by fives
for super cheap like 100 bucks maybe and it's just these big box cameras with lenses on them right
and you've got to get an insert and put the plate in the back and in the insert in the back of the
camera right and then you just let the light in it's almost like pinhole photography right so
there's no film no digital this. This is all analog, right?
This is all using my hands and chemicals. So no screens other than what you see.
Oh, that's dope. That's really cool.
So the second image below it, like I said, I dial it in a little bit more. I exposed it less,
a little more contrasty, right? And that's a used plate though that's the second time I use that plate
that's why there's some chemical stains on it right there and I didn't quite finish putting
the collodion on but yeah the process takes I would say if you're good at it you could break
out a plate in less than 10 minutes but yeah it's a slow process you know you have to put some
chemicals on the plate you got to put in a silver bath.
You got to wait for a few minutes. Then you finally pull it out.
You have to do all this in a darkroom too.
So I've had to makeshift darkroom in the back of my car that I just turned this like little
black box into with a red light.
And then once that is done, you put it in the insert.
You rush over to your camera before the plate dries.
And then you take your photo.
Usually beforehand you focus on whatever you're focusing,
make sure it's lined up, make sure you got the shot,
and then close your aperture.
Put in the back of the camera the plate, expose the plate,
open up your aperture, whatever you light metered for,
a few seconds, whatever, and then boom, you're done. And then you rush back to the dark room, you make some developer on it,
and then you put it through a few washes, just water washes, right, regular water.
And then after, and this is all in the dark room. So you got your red light, you're in your black
box, whatever working. I'll take a few minutes. And then after
that, it goes into the fixer and then you can pull it out of the dark room. You can expose it to
natural light. It goes into the fixer and then that's when the negative turns into a positive,
right? And so that's what you're seeing right there. And then after the fixer for about three
minutes, you pull it out of the fixer. Then it goes into a final wash of just regular water for about
20 minutes and then after it's done then you let it dry and then if the plate is um up to spec like
i want to keep it then i have to put um this um i'm trying to remember what it's called. It's this lacquer that goes on top.
And it basically seals all the chemicals, right?
So it's kind of silvery, but then it becomes kind of brownish with this lacquer, right?
So, yeah, it's this lacquer substance you put on.
You're supposed to put it under some type of heated plate as well or a flame of sort
because when you're putting on the lacquer,
it's got to warm it so it seals completely. And once that process is finished, only takes a minute
or two to seal, then that plate will literally last hundreds and hundreds of years. So your
generation on generations will be able to see the photo you took.
So, you know, a lot of people like to get portraits done, this type of style, because like I said, after you pass away, your kids, your kids, kids, you know, they'll be able to see great, great grandma.
They'll be like, whoa, that's so cool.
You know, like I still get to see, you know, my great, great grandmama because we know digital images corrupt after a while.
Even film, prints, prints themselves fade after about 50 years, give or take.
But these plates, these plates are legendary.
They will literally last you even after you pass away.
So I think it's a really cool process, and it's a process that was developed back in the 19th
century during the civil war this is even before they started shooting film cameras these big old
like guys with these big old cameras used to go on these battlefields right these massive tripods
and these blocks and take photos this is how you see Abe Lincoln's portrait that was done
off of a wet plate so yeah yeah so yeah. So that's cool. How'd
you get into that? How'd you find out about it? Well, I learned about the process way back in
college, but I never really learned how to do it. I just learned how to do 35 mil. You know, I took
the dark room class. I was a journalism major, right? You got to take a photography class kind of deal. But I do remember there was advanced photography I could have taken where they were doing a similar
method. It wasn't quite tintype, but it was a gelatin solution. I remember this other photographer,
I think he was a senior or something, was doing a similar project. Now, I always thought it was cool, you know, and then years later, I noticed my journalism professor.
He started taking photos on wet plate, and he's up in Alaska, right?
And so he was doing these massive wet plate images, like 8x10s,
which is basically double the amount of size that I'm taking currently,
but he was taking these massive images of Mount McKinley, right? So up in Alaska. And so he got
like showcased with a photography magazine. I don't know, it was really exciting, right? And
this was a few years back. And then I was like, you know, I had my portrait done from a web play
photographer. He visited me, I would say about five or six years
ago when I was still married. And then we had our photo taken together on wet plate. And then a few
years after I had my photo taken again by the same photographer down in Austin, Texas. But
that instance was with my cat, Stella. So it was just me. I was a portrait of myself and my cat off a big 8x10.
And I really, really liked that.
And I grew really close to the photographer who took that image of me.
And he offered to be like, hey, dude, you want to take a class on it?
I don't mind teaching you.
It's going to be like 500 bucks, though.
And I was like, hmm, well, I'm going to Colorado. Well, and this was a few years ago. This was back in 2022. Right.
So, and I was like, you know, we'll see. I'm going to Colorado. I'm going to meet up with
another wet plate photographer up there and he may teach me, you know? So anyway, this was two
years ago. Met up, I never met up with that wet plate photographer in Colorado Springs, unfortunately.
I did talk to him on the phone.
And he recommended some literature.
And he recommended the supplies I needed to buy.
You know, this is a process, right?
So last year, last October, I was able to finally take a wet plate photography workshop for one day in my city where I lived in Florida.
He was offering a class literally downtown, like 10 minutes away from where I lived in Panama City, Florida.
And I was like, well, this has to be a calling.
I should just, you know, just take it.
This is going to work out great.
You know, I keep delaying the
process. I've got all this stuff. I finally bought all, um, the supplies I needed. I had the camera,
I had the tripod, you know, I've literally had everything, but he was like, you know,
just sign up with this class and, uh, I'll teach you how to do it. And I'll even let you use my
let you use my own equipment my own chemicals and my own darkroom I was like oh sweet you know
own equipment, my own chemicals and my own darkroom. I was like, Oh, sweet. You know?
so I finally signed up paid 500 bucks for it for the one day workshop and yeah he basically supplied
everything he taught me how to do it step by step literally what I told you earlier like the process
of how to do it yeah that's that's what he taught me how to do it and he let me use his own camera
and everything and I found out the camera I had earlier was not the correct camera because I bought the wrong insert for it it was actually
a 5x7 camera I had that I bought previously from another photographer that I thought I could use
so I had to go back on eBay I had to look into a 4x5 not a 5x7 yeah there's different sizes fam
when you start getting into cameras oh my
gosh there's so many different sizes of cameras to buy but anyway so I bought that one took the
tent type workshop and then started practicing on my own and yeah since last October I've been
practicing and it's been almost a year now shooting. And yeah, it's a process, fam.
Eventually, I'm going to be learning how to create my own recipes from the chemicals themselves. Because the chemicals I currently have are all pre-mixed, right?
And if you really want to do this right, like you want to do it on a professional level, which I do want to do someday.
You know, it's just I have to keep practicing.
I have to learn how to create my own recipes.
So like the chemicals I was mentioning earlier, like the collodion.
Where do you even get that?
That's what I'm wondering.
Like, do they have spots?
So you can buy pre-mixed chemicals from other, you know, photography shops, companies that
sell it nationally, you know, from the U.S.
Especially it's easier if you're outside the U.S.
It's a bit difficult, but there's still companies that make everything for you.
They just charge you a lot of money.
So if you can do it yourself and create your own recipe, like create your own developer,
create your own fixer, it's a lot more affordable and it'll
actually last you a lot longer too because you won't have to keep waiting for the chemicals to
come into the mail you know you can just kind of create your own and then keep going and especially
once you start booking up too like I talked to that one wet plate photographer down in Austin
like he does it for a living you know like professionally and so and he does like
anywhere from 10 to 15 shoots a day wow right so he has to constantly be mixing his chemicals right
is that something you'll do too that sounds pretty dope one day yeah I'm getting there
it's a process but I'm hoping I want to be like a wet plate uh pet photographer and take
photos with your pets and stuff yes your loved ones because a lot of people after covid you know
they bought animals right a lot of people bought animals and a lot of animals they're that's their
best friend like my cat stella she's my best i was just gonna ask you if you had stella when
this bear attack happened yes i had her in my airstream don't oh in your airstream okay shit yeah she
was with me the whole time oh my god oh my god yeah that's what I was thinking I'm like okay
you guys are trying to be quiet and Stella's like meow get the fuck away from me that's all I can
imagine but yeah thanks for their questions.
I love talking about this process.
So, eventually, I want to photograph, you know, everyone.
That I meet in spaces and, you know, travel, road trip.
And maybe I'll do a little wet plate demonstration at, you know, the next crypto event.
Yeah, one of the events I just set up on the corner because I feel like it's a unique thing um and can you imagine even
providing that and kind of teaching people about crypto um you know kind of like bringing the old
with the new bridging it over showing some people I don't know I'm I totally dig it and plus it's art
you know it really is something tangible yep exactly it's art a lot of people
love art and they love to touch something and see something so yeah yeah i'll probably add it like a
utility or something maybe yeah you get a free wet plate shoot would mount do if you buy this
nft or something oh yeah i hope that you're i hope that your training goes well we're actually
just about to close up here i've got a oh we have wait salt has a space too joe mama
yeah salt has a space i just started okay so so salt has a space sorry i was coughing
salt has a space and then we have um quack life space. Um, so those are up in the Jumba Tron,
you guys, if you guys want to roll on over into one of those, um, a crypto fam, it's so good to
see you. Mount Dew. I don't know what I'm supposed to call you, but we appreciate you stopping by
and saying hello and sharing that cool knowledge. Um, I always like to learn new shit. So, and I'm
actually going to have my, um, I call her my future daughter-in-law.
But she's here from Denmark.
And I'm going to have her listen to it and look at those pictures.
Because she loves the old photography.
So, I'm thinking, I'm like, damn, can you imagine when they get married?
I have you come out and do some shoots for them.
She would, I'm not even joking.
It's totally her get down.
So, I'm excited for her to be able to listen
back and look at some of those pictures. So Papa, are you able to close this out tonight? I know
yesterday you were not presently present. So I know, I know. But yes, I am here. And yes,
I will be back tomorrow for PM, Papa Standard Time, seven o'clock eastern so until then do something kind for yourself
that's the important part
