Here we go. Thank you. I Oh We're living together, but still it's farewell
And maybe we'll come back to further compare
I guess there is no one to blame
We're leaving ground, We're leaving ground
Will this ever be the same again?
The final countdown The body don't count down Oh, the head is for Venus
Cause maybe they've seen us
And woke up a lie Maybe they've seen us And we've gone alive
With so many light tears to go
And so happy my love is our song

The final countdown, the final countdown
Love me to start It's the final countdown Love you so
You know, I was actually just thinking,
I haven't seen that movie in a long time.
I've never been welcomed to the stage
Well, you know, pure legends need a very cinematic entrance.
I was just thinking, who am I fighting?
Sounds like we're going to the ring with somebody.
Right? Well, we are up against all of the odds today. just thinking who am i fighting sounds like we're going to the ring with somebody right
well we we are up against all of the odds today this this entire challenge
and it all comes down to this in case you didn't figure out that today is going to be a badge space
hence the name for the song.
Or the reason for the song.
I hope that the code isn't like final.
You're supposed to make these harder for no credits.
It should be like purple butt or something.
I can neither confirm nor deny the code.
It's not live yet so but you know lord
well i hope that that's not it oh our middle son's at the door you gotta take this for a second
um okay he only shows up during the spaces yeah the only only time ever so you know but anyhow
know set of craziness here
having a bit of an issue here.
So last night we lost power for like two and a half, three hours or so.
And, you know, that's pure coding and, you know,
trying to get shit done and stuff.
Hello. Hello. Battery bank, my boy. trying to trying to get shit done and and stuff hello hello
i'm just gonna drive by looking
so um yeah that's the fun and exciting stuff that's going on over on this side.
And, yeah, don't know what's happening here. But today, at least we know there's a badge.
So, have you released any alpha on how the badges interact with your mint?
So have you released any alpha on how the badges interact with your mint?
The badges are actually going to come into play for phase two.
Phase one is the nice list.
Phase two, you'll see where they come in.
There's actually some fun activity that we will be doing with the badges.
Thank God what? a fun activity.
I thought you were thanking God for your middle son.
Well, you know, his name actually means a gift of a gift from God.
I've got one of those as well.
Yeah. It's my favorite name.
How's your Friday, Bears?
Luckily, I rescheduled my working vacation.
So I've had, you know, yesterday and today off,
but a lot of that is, yeah, I don't know.
It's nice to have to work my day job,
but it doesn't feel like a vacation.
So there's that. How about you no credits how are you doing today
i'm good how's your saturday yeah it's been so far it's been spent cleaning the barbecue
oh nice um so we have we have house sitters coming to look after our house while we go away.
We can't take our dog because he's an idiot.
And so we have to leave him here and have someone look after him.
And we're taking our puppy, but not our big one.
And so we're going to get this family to come and live in our house.
And we suddenly looked around and went,
Brika, this place is a tip tip so we spent the last week cleaning
so you're are you going like local are you going far away you just kind of
um the first week is about three hours south and the second week is about an
hour and a half north oh so, so you're going to be on for two weeks?
I guess, yeah, it is summer vacation.
We're going camping for a week.
It's funny because the season difference, right?
So I'm thinking, like, going camping in December. I'm like, holy, that's like some Bear Gryllis kind of thing.
But no, it would make sense down there.
Tomorrow is the longest day of the year for us,
so lots of sunlight, got to get out and enjoy it.
And yeah, that's awesome.
You guys go camping often?
We'd like to do it more often,
and as our schedules calm down a little bit,
but this year was so crazy.
We had three kids at high school
all playing multiple sports,
um sort of versions of competitions every so often and so like weekends just don't exist
they're a thing of the imagination yeah yeah it is funny
nesters and them all driving
and stuff it's interesting we're
not having to deal with the
and stuff like that anymore so
that part is nice, I suppose.
Often when my kids ring me, I answer the phone.
You should have a little app that, you know,
Oh, interesting. Okay they can just request. It shows their...
This is a way to get their location at all times.
If you don't have any, you really...
All right, so I made an app.
So you guys can just summon us whenever you want picked up somewhere.
It just keeps track of their location at all times, you know.
I got there covered by the chip that I had inserted in their brain
just after they were born.
Like, hmm, why do I have Apple AirTags in my shoes?
Skechers shoes or something?
they actually have a little dugout
area underneath the insole
Selfie. Right? i'm like well i don't know did apple pay them to do that don't know but uh our kids are pretty good our kids are pretty good we've managed to make it
through most of the teenage years without any huge dramas so i've been very lucky that's good they're either good or boring
i'm not sure which one of the two right but you know good does not have to be boring just saying
no that's true that's true you know, I mean, maybe I'm boring.
I could be a little creative, I suppose.
I hope you guys have an awesome time on vacation.
Does that mean that you'll be kind of away from spaces?
Or are you going to try and do the whole live from the campground kind of thing?
I might be able to do that.
We're camping the first week of January.
So I think between Christmas Eve and New Year, I'll be pretty quiet.
But the thing about the camping is I'm trying to get the kids off their devices.
So it's not very good form if I'm saying, right, kids, give me your phones.
I'm just going to jump on a Twitter space for the next hour.
So I may drop a couple of photos or pop in for a quick visit,
but I don't think I'll be hanging out very much.
But I'd love to share the photos or you know
even a quick video or something from where we're going because it's a beautiful location
it sounds amazing and i would love to do that uh you know to be able to see where all your
the chance to get to see other
things that you don't normally get to see.
Yes, especially when you're locked in a winter.
see people enjoying the sun.
Well, actually it's probably been closer to two weeks now
where we've just had just gray rain, a ton of all that.
It's just been very, very bad.
Although we have had a couple little peaks of sun, which is kind of nice,
but overall it's been, you know,
It sounds like you guys need to plan an overseas trip for next Christmas, TBH.
Yeah, you know, maybe down to Hawaii.
Well, actually, no, we already decided that I was going to do my 50th in Hawaii.
So that'll be a nice break, I guess the 2027 break.
So that won't be too bad.
But, you know, I'm always down to travel, especially to escape the winter.
We'll see what happens for this next year.
When did you sneak up here oh
looks like she tried to unmute
maybe Babs can take a lap
not a take a lap. Not a nap, a lap.
I see Gary down there listening.
Been talking to you for a while.
Obviously, we're expecting to hear him back, but no, it's okay.
hearing back but no that's it's okay that's okay oh but um joe mama what is going on over here
are you around yes sir hey hey it's crap how's it going over there
which i i see you've been trying to
Elf it out on the timeline
People are just scared to go
Push a goddamn button or something
They don't need a present
Yeah, dude, I discovered this hack, bro.
You pretend that you can't hear anybody, right?
And then you have people come up, and then they just, like,
shill their projects or whatever.
And then you just pretend that you can't hear anything.
And so they come up, they shill, you mute them, you know, know they get off the stage and you just sit there and just farm farm for hours and
hours easy oh okay so yeah you're doing the whole time but you're sitting there pumping them telling
them you know to max engage and all this other too at the same time but yeah you just pretend that you
can't hear though is the big thing dude like that guy's brilliant dude that guy's a genius
I'm not gonna say his name who he was but you know who you are and it reminds me of at first
we you know before we realized that there's a delay it was always funny because um we'd listen to some of those
spaces that i'm sure you might be referring to but um they they'd invite a new person up that they
you know they kind of either start shilling or just kind of hey tell me about what what are
your what are your thoughts right and then right as they're about to say something you just rug the space right i'm sure you you guys have heard that
before yeah and then i was like i wonder if they did are they intentionally just being jerks or
you know is are they just kind of um you know forgetting that there's a delay or whatever?
Because that's why whenever we end up in the space,
we always kind of wait that 10 to 15 seconds or whatever
before we actually close out the space.
Yeah, there's some people I know who don't know that there's a delay.
And so they're always like, right, I'm just going just gonna and then the space is rugged and like okay so you
hang up but i i did get um rage baited by i guess you could call him a friend it's a guy i know
called leo milley and he has been running spaces for the vv community for years and uh i had not
ever been up on his stage but I came up because my friend
Bildo was there and he's like, so no credits, tell me about how you met Bildo. And I was like,
well, so I, and then, and oh man, I've never let him forget it. And he says, I still have PTSD from
it. But Bildo told me that if you ever get rugged by Leo Millie, then you're definitely part of the family. So I was honored by the fact that I got rugged.
I don't know that I could actually do that to someone,
even though I know it's either part of the shtick or part of whatever.
But maybe I'm just too much of a nice guy.
I think you have it in, yeah?
Yeah, I think it is schtick,
but he's funny, so I forgave him.
I was like, what the hell?
Didn't he just ask me a question?
Nice. Babs, are you back?
I'm trying. Can you hear me?
Yay! We were driving. I think I got into a dead spot.
How was everybody? It's Friday dead spot. So, yes. How was everybody?
Yeah, it's been a good day.
We're getting Papa Bear's rain instead of Papa Bear and Mama Bear's rain.
Is that kind of you to share, Papa Bear?
Although I really don't wish this one to anybody.
I will say that, yes, we've been very fortunate compared to some people.
So I keep trying to remind myself of that right and you know when it comes to rain
it you know it doesn't last all the time what do they say in in the in the the movie the crow you
know can't it can't rain all the time or something like that oh yeah that's a great song oh yeah by the way the the crow soundtrack was an amazing soundtrack
i remember hearing that for the first time a friend of mine came to me said bro you've got
to watch this movie that was back in the day of blockbuster so we went up the road and hired it
out and watched it on vhs i think and um holy cow i went out the next day and bought the soundtrack on cd because that was the
soundtrack oh yeah actually i really enjoy the first half of it and the second half i'm a bit
like yeah maybe not but yeah the first like five or six songs are bangers oh yeah i've not seen it
it's actually a really sad story
oh I don't like sad stories
so no I'm not going to watch it
then you can just listen to the soundtrack
My guess would have been 95 or 96.
I actually was working a blockbuster at that time when that movie came out so oh maybe i hired it from you maybe
although i mean like was it actually here in the states or no no i was just kidding come on
play with the joke papa bear man the Fire out. Man, I'm gold.
The saddest part of that story, Babs,
is actually that the actor, Brandon Lee,
died in the making of the film,
where someone loaded a gun with a non-blank.
I think I heard about that, though.
Was there another recent one like that?
But wasn't that a remake, Papa Bear?
Am I right in saying that was a remake?
Because there was something,
it was almost like the movie itself was cursed
because something bad happened in the first one as well.
Okay, yeah, I don't remember that one.
Yeah, my daughter's here,
and she said something about Alec Baldwin.
Oh, yeah, that was recently, yeah.
You wonder how the heck non-blanks get onto a movie set that just
makes zero sense to me i don't i don't get that at all you know no idea yeah that's right because
he he was the one that actually shot and accidentally killed somebody i think right
and accidentally killed somebody i think right but i mean it's a different situation but
in the alec baldwin one he he didn't realize that it was loaded and
some i don't know did he get in trouble or did somebody else
I don't actually remember what ended up happening with that or whether it's even been resolved.
i don't actually remember what ended up happening with that or whether it was even
It might still be in the system.
But it was definitely people getting in trouble.
It looks like Tech has some info.
The only thing I know my daughter's info is we'll get to Tech.
My daughter said his wife was on Dancing with the Stars recently.
But she's still dancing. I don't know. Okay, go on, Tech.
about Team America that was created by the people that made South Park. And they had like Kim Jong-un
from Korea, and they created the Film Actors Guild where he had like all the actors trying to like
hustle them so they could take over the world. And it was funny because Film Actors Guild was
an acronym, but it's spelled out FAG. And it was just funny because when they did the Ken Jong-un voice, like they tried to make them sound Korean
where he was saying the words wrong.
And I just thought it was funny cause you brought it up.
It looks like we have Padget his hands up here oh pad thanks
yeah guys i was just gonna say uh the crow that's bruce lee's kid isn't it brandon lee did he die
when they were filming it and then in the second one i think something mad happened as well um but
i can't remember yeah it was a sad story.
Yes, it was Brandon Lee, correct.
Yeah, that's weird, isn't it?
I felt weird watching that movie knowing the whole time that this was this guy's last breath kind of thing.
I'm presently present again.
I was in the middle of posting the badge.
I got it. I had to also change it
you know apparently that was too obvious so
there we go can you guys see it up on the in the jumbotron
yay okay so it is last call everybody to get on the nice list just so you know
and um coincidentally that is the code list l-i-s-t so make sure if you're not on the list
and that you have your wallet um information in there then you know you've got
gosh what did i say until tomorrow night to uh to get that on the list so
just so you know the code to redeem is list l-i-s-t so i think that means i've got all of them papa bear
you got all of them actually yeah i think there are a few only a few people so far
that have all of them nice i think you and gary doge
Doge, and then like one of the apes, I think, who I think he's got them, and somebody else.
So you guys are dedicated.
And of course now, no credits, you can sell them for like hundreds of dollars, I'm sure.
To have it all complete, right?
What are we going to do now?
Why would you burn badges?
Because you might earn something from it?
Actually, I wonder if you can burn those.
Well, I can see them in my OpenSea wallet, so I can send it to a burn address.
But, okay, yeah. That would make sense. But, okay. I will have to say, I think, I was talking about this a little while back, but I think there was something that, because
of the, depending on how you signed up for your OpenPage page account your badges might be in a different wallet than what you
normally um mint with so i may have to figure out um figure out a way to tie them and tie them
together so because i yeah the first ones that i minted were I got on a fucking random ass wallet from Barcaster or some bullshit.
And then I finally switched it to be the, whatever you call it, the phantom wallet as my primary wallet.
But I should have them all, but we'll see what happens.
What I'd like to know is did AJ get any of them?
Yeah, he got the first one or two and then his shit glitched out
and i think he's got some of them of the most recent ones okay
yeah and i was also wondering like do we do we need to do like some sort of like
i don't know a way to kind of anybody who has the codes will maybe we we open
them up for you know like 30 minutes or an hour or whatever we don't tell them that we're going
to we're just gonna do it right anybody who gets them or anybody needs them you know they can go back and and clean them if they need to if they don't
then well too bad i don't know that that's one thing i had thought about because i also didn't
realize you could um that you could adjust the end date after it had already closed so
thanks thanks didn't thanks no credits for uh for sharing that little bit of alpha.
We'll have to see what we can do there.
Because I know that's... Yeah.
There are so many people here that have been regular
and they maybe just either weren't able to collect or they didn't
quite realize and you know it'd be it'd be nice to to make sure but I will say though like in general
the open page um community has been very popular uh i think we're like what number
we are ranked number 28 in the last 30 days we're in the top seven percent so
good work papa bear well done It's kind of crazy.
I've been kind of watching it over time,
and both Presently Present and Tribe Called Rex are kind of like neck and neck,
Then we kind of keep going back and forth on the leaderboard of who's there,
I hadn't actually started comparing Papa Bear,
but if you want to make that a thing, then we can do that.
I don't know if we're going to keep doing more badges through OP.
I think once we have things kind of set and we're we're
you know well on base i'm we might either switch over to another um
to another you know way of collecting badges i do like the concept right of these collectible um collectible badges and this part has been really
fun you know both on on getting them and also designing them right because i don't know just
it's a way to be a little creative um and and just makes things a little more entertaining.
Ooh, what's it going to be this week, right?
Well, yeah, I don't know.
I feel like, in general, this...
Well, yes, we've been doing things intentionally and, and, um, trying to be like,
all right, let's put some thought into this and stuff. There's also been so many times where
we've had to like either re-pivot or kind of adjust things like, oh shit, this isn't working.
So maybe we're gonna have to do
it this way or or whatever it's it's been kind of a wild ride already just
just in the whatever what six weeks that we've been doing this I'm sure this
won't be the last time that we have to you know adapt and adjust so
but um credits how long have you been like actively working on your um on your mint phase
as far as like not mint as like the actual minting but like as far as the prep work and
as the actual minting, but as far as the prep work
and building the community and the project and stuff like that,
how long have you been going at that?
So the J-Punks rugged in August of 23,
and we immediately started the process of trying to do a CTO.
Gary did a lot of the work because he was local to where the previous team was based.
And so six months later, we'd gotten really nowhere.
The team weren't giving us anything.
We weren't going to get the Twitter page.
We weren't going to get the community wallet. We weren't going to get the community wallet.
We weren't going to get any treasury.
We weren't going to get the 3d files from the previous collection, but they did
want to tell us how to run the business and they wanted to be, you know, to
And so we were just like, this is just, we're just asking for trouble if we sign
So we decided to go our own way.
And ever since then, we've been working.
So we honestly thought it was going to be a lot quicker.
We thought that we'd raised $40,000 from within the community.
We thought that was going to be enough um we thought
that you know find a good artist um it'll be a few weeks worth of design and build and then
just need to find a dev and maybe futureverse can help us with that and you know they'll have
some grants program so you know we'll be it'll be easy. Two years later, we're still paying money,
and we're still talking with Debs about how it's going to work,
and we still don't have a working product
simply because it's so technically challenging,
and we've had the whole root network fall over,
which happened, which meant we had to pivot.
Honestly, we've had a community since the day we started because we had the previous community a lot of those people
who were really into it have fallen away because of you know what crypto has done over the last two
years and just just the whole state of everything and we've made some new friends and they've joined in.
So we've been going for two years and it feels like we haven't stopped ever.
So, yeah, it's a full-time job.
And that's what I'm learning.
And, of course, then trying to be, you know, for me've i've been self-deathing so it's um you know between me
doing that and then you know and um you know doing more of the i guess the marketing side
you could say and then of course all of our elves that we've had a lot of help. I really have appreciated everybody, you know,
doing their part and helping share.
I tell you, I'm sure if mankind were here, he'd be like,
yep, see, this is, you're seeing the joys of building a community
And, you know, I tried to tell you, you know, something like that. joys of building a community and running a project.
And, you know, I tried to tell you, you know, something like that.
Yeah, he was in the J-Punks collection way back.
And I remember him coming and telling me that he was going to start his own thing.
And I thought, oh, good on you, mate.
That's awesome. So, you know, props props to him and I hope he does really well.
And we've always wanted to not do the whole mint a placeholder
because there were a bunch of projects that did that,
some that I invested in and nothing ever came of it.
And we just flat out didn't want to be that project
and so that in itself has just meant so many challenges gary and i have maxed out our credit
cards trying to trying to build something that we're proud of that that's going to you know
be high enough quality you know so um the the challenge is measuring that, balancing that versus actually
getting into the market at a good time.
But then this market's so crazy.
I don't know when a good time would be.
I think we've just got to get to market and then people will be able to mint a Rex and
then the whole thing probably ramps up from there.
we'd be working so far i think we've got more work on its way yeah and i think that's the kind
of the direction that i think we're going to look is we're just going to build we're just going to
work on this and you know at our own pace you know i know that pace is probably never going to be good enough for Web 3 either
because everybody wants like, when Moon, when Lambo right now kind of thing.
We'll be getting there, right?
And, you know, we're just looking to, you know,
pull in some cool people along the way especially with with um you know the the type
of project and the thing that we're will be we'll be working on it's going to attract a certain
you know type of people it's it's not going to maybe necessarily be your your um you know run-of-the-mill degens or whatever that that are
just like hey that's pretty cool you know they're so you know i i think they always say what your
your your vibe attracts your tribe and uh so in that case i i think i think it's good and the
people that we've met so far along the way
and the people that I see show up all the time
and keep coming back is good.
I'm glad to have all of you guys here.
Yeah, they're a good tribe.
I think we don't have the hype of a massive mint that's going to go to zero because
we have never gone for hype. We've always gone for quality. And if it means that it starts a
bit slower than other projects, then so be it. But the quality is always going to be there. And
so many projects have seen what we're doing and have loved it um and we're kind of pushing the envelope
trying to get swappable wearables so that your nft can can be more fluid than nfts have been so far
so we really are kind of going out on a limb with that um and you know hopefully it hopefully it
reaps rewards because the idea of being able to make your NFT look the way you want it to look is pretty exciting.
And the fact that you're doing it with 3D is an extra complication.
I've played with Blender a little and i'll tell you it's um i don't i um can't say that uh i i'm the greatest when it comes
to to that so like hey hats off to you man for for for taking that extra challenge so
i have learned so much in the last two years it's crazy like having having sort of always
taught myself software um i taught
myself photoshop so that i could be a photographer and now i know substance painter and blender and
you know whatever else i'm using but i find i find a new love for that whereas i've kind of
waned with photography because everyone's a photographer now that you've got a top-notch camera
in your pocket everywhere you go so um i found a new sort of lease of life and being able to create
in different ways which is really exciting nice yeah uh a gimp user than than photoshop but uh i do have
i have a um i did get a like a four month trial i think it was the to creative cloud
that was like oh wow and um and so i i i had that and i i did install photoshop and i was like i i didn't realize one just how
different they actually are because i'm looking like where the hell is my tool where's my paint
bucket oh it's over okay i found it but um yeah there's there's a lot to it yeah there is and and
i picked up videography as well so then i had to learn after effects and
premiere pro and they are you know the the way that adobe have built their empire is to
basically buy other people's software and put their label on it and one thing that drives me
crazy is that they don't have like uniform shortcut keys across all the different programs so you're constantly running
like okay what program am i in and then you kind of set that set of keys in your head and then you
switch to another pro i've got to change it's it's not they don't make it easy um i do like their
products but they charge extra for the 3d stuff. So Substance Painter is like another $65 a month or something US.
I can't wait to not have to subscribe to it once the project's up and running and I can walk away.
But of course, our project's fluid and we're always going to be creating stuff.
So I don't think I'll ever stop subscribing to it.
Constant money going out. But but yeah they're good products i i liked gimp as well but i just i needed the ability to jump
between so many like lightroom is so good for compared to what we used to have you know photoshop
three um you had to do if like actions were one thing, but so many, like even when I would
take photos at a basketball game, half the photos would come in sideways because I'd
taken them portrait and the cameras hadn't been built to identify that there was a portrait
orientation and Photoshop.
You'd have to open each image in Photoshop and run an action on it to rotate it.
Like it's, it would take me three hours to edit a game,
whereas now I could probably edit a game in 20 minutes.
So the software is incredible.
But unless you're making money from it,
it can get super prohibitive pricing.
Now, have you dealt with Adobe Animate?
No, I've never done any animation stuff.
I mean, other than, you know, 3D animation and Blender,
but I haven't done, I haven't delved into those products yet.
Yeah, because that's the next thing I'm thinking of,
or like am I going to have to have to you know dig into that at all or
should i be just you know handling more like just letting letting ai kind of generate the content
and stuff yeah i honestly think that um ai is going to take over from all of those types of things.
Like even 3D models in a way.
If AI can auto-generate a world for a game, then there wouldn't be anything stopping it from auto-generating characters as well.
So we may be coming out with a 3D collection right as AI takes over the world and you can generate whatever you want.
So it's been really tricky over the last two years to kind of navigate what's been happening and the changes of all the technology.
But I really think that knowing how to, like if we wanted to make a promo video now, I would probably rather make it an AI than try and rig something up in Blender
because I'm not a pro animator in Blender.
It's keyframes and it's so difficult, it takes so long, whereas I could just prompt
it into existence in a matter of minutes.
And that's kind of why one of the things I was thinking about, this is probably the perfect time to be able to bootstrap something like this,
like the project we're going to be working through here,
is because the fact that AI will be able to help so much
and we'd be able to get so much more in the limited availability you know that we have
and we might actually be able to get somewhere with this so I'm excited about that I mean even
just when I think about some of the stuff when when it comes to coding and and and having it help in that realm like the just the the sheer being able to to speed up
the development process has been amazing so socks knows huh how's it doing
oh yeah i definitely know how ai can speed up the work process for sure.
But yeah, no, I just wanted to jump in on like the Blender and animation stuff because I've been using Blender for, oh my God, who knows how long, since Blender 2.8.
and an animation on my own through that the whole thing and have been able to use AI or take parts
of what I've made in Blender and then take that throw it into an AI to finish it you know what
I'm saying and get things in a different way and in a faster fashion so it's definitely worth it
and if you ever need anything in Blender like whether it be like certain plugins or whatnot, I got you. I can help you figure some stuff out. As well as I wanted to touch on Substance Painter. There's Blender plugins that practically do the same thing that you only have to pay for once. So I forget the name of it, but I'll have to look into it
But it lets you paint textures right onto it with multiple layers and with depth and everything and it's super nice
Yeah, no, I've I've been a blender maxi for a few years. Just low-key kind of on the back end
But yeah, how are you guys doing?
I'm a little late to the party, but I'm here.
Oh, we're hanging in there.
We've had some challenges, I guess would be the best way to put it.
Over the past few days in the house and the weather and and all of that you know
we uh we lost power last night for almost three hours which was you know prime prime time to get
done um and uh you know the the lake or whatever what i I call it? Was it Lake Cushman, I think?
There's actually a Lake Cushman, like, in real life.
But that was, that had been growing in our, in Baby Bear's bedroom.
room he's oh my gosh it's been crazy you know the the people came yesterday to to start working on
He's, oh my gosh, it's been crazy.
on ripping stuff out and drying it out and everything and but uh yeah it's it's just been
it's been trying between that and then of course all of the you know do we have everything ready for Sunday? And are the dots crossed and the T's?
The I's are dotted and the T's are crossed.
Otherwise, we're hanging in there.
How's Sockmas coming along?
Do you have any news or anything to share there?
So those are getting revealed on the 25th.
So on Christmas, those are getting revealed.
And those are going to be linked to a special game on the Pet Rock Studios launcher.
So I'm super excited about that.
And there are also going to be some spots in Sock City
that will incorporate what's coming here.
I will say that the artwork for them is on theme with Socks
in the way that it does keep you warm during the wintertime.
So I'm excited about that.
I thought I saw the video of that.
So. Yo. Nice. so what yes okay I thought I saw the video of that so yo nice I I do also have experience with unreal engine as well I can use both engines and I'm
gonna be working on a plug-in for my launcher so that my launcher can
communicate with both engines it's gonna be to be cool. It's going to be sick.
Now, do you, I never asked, did, do you have, um, do you get to do this full time or do you also have a regular day job that you have competing for your time?
So I'm thankfully in a position where my IRL network, like my brother helps take care of the rent and whatnot.
So, and I'm lucky enough to have a family that heavily supports what I do.
So I'm able to work on this full time.
And, but yeah, no, so I'm very grateful for the network and the people that i have around me that
make it happen that's awesome yeah and um i'm sure that's very helpful because um you know i i know
what kind of effort it takes to to do some of this stuff and um okay it's good that you you have the ability
to to be able to focus on that and not also have to worry about how am i gonna put a roof over my
head and and put put meals on the table so that's that's awesome
so um but you said so reveal is the 25th you said
yes the 25th nice yeah we're we're we're trying to figure out our reveal plans as far as like
um because the other thing with the 25th we're like well apparently we've been signed up to
have um do christmas dinner with the family and and that's gonna like be right at the same time
as um as the space would normally go so do we do we have a morning space or like a like a mid
have a morning space or like a like a mid you know like a midday kind of space before everybody
comes over or something like that and then do the reveal of that bro you just start the space
and you just put the phone in the middle of the table and you just have christmas dinner oh
there you go and then you guys can just all talk you know mama. Mama Bear's mom, we'll call her Gigi Bear.
She'll be, you know, just chopping up.
And she'll be like, oh, honey, is this the people from your MySpace?
And, you know, that would be funny.
You would get a kick out of that
that's literally what she calls it
yeah no maybe we'll do that
we can intrude on Christmas dinner probably
actually I still have to figure out what I'm going to be making
I've been so focused on other stuff that I'm like...
That's been the least of my concerns at this point.
Granted, I guess I still have another, what, six or seven days for that.
All right. All right. six or seven days for that, but... Alright.
I was just sending out some posts and showing some support to this room and writing posts. DeFi Space Donkeys! What do you need? Just the intro? Do I need to bring in another account? Yeah, no, the intro was good. We can go now.
No, you came here just for us to be able to, you know, today is a badge day.
And, of course, you know, Mama Bear has missed almost the entire space at this point.
So, but, you know, today is a badge day.
If you look up at the top, make sure that you claim your badge.
We can probably give out the code another time, you know.
The code for today, since I...
No, he's gone too. Never mind.
I was going to say Phoenix was probably looking for the code.
The code is LIST. L-I-S-T.
So. for the code um the code is list l-i-s-t so but um but yeah well that's kind of what we've been doing i've been trying to uh to hold up the space without mama bear's you know commanding presence and no
credit no credits has been nice enough to uh to to chime in in and help keep the conversation going a little bit here and everything.
You know, that's how it goes.
I haven't had to get the dictionary out, which is good because, you know, there's that.
That's exactly what I was going to say.
What's new in your neck of the woods there, Tricky?
things. I think I'm getting ready for this next event.
I want to do East Denver,
and I want to do something again.
Technically, the other one is next
year, so I'll bring that up later.
But, yeah. So, yeah. East Denver.
I'm trying to also get a house out there, so maybe
I can do a double, you know, like, go look at houses and be there for East Denver. It'd be good, you yeah, ETH Denver, trying to also get a house out there. So maybe I can do a double, you know, like go look at houses and be there for ETH Denver.
It'd be a good, you know, multitasking event.
So that's kind of coming up.
I need to get out of this house.
You know, it's like they added another $300 a month in property taxes, which is totally a first world problem.
Because, like, I can't live here, but my house is worth a lot more than when I bought it.
I bought it for a $142.05 and it's worth like $430, $450.
Oh, wow. That is a nice problem to have at least.
Yeah, yeah. It could be worse, right? I mean, I've only lived in this house for like 14 years.
I lived in this house for like 14 years
where I had to put my dues in
yeah I will say though that Denver is
if you're just looking to rent
to give a place there for East Denver
that's one thing but if you're thinking about
even remotely thinking of moving there
the market there is so expensive it's super expensive
there's a there's a lot of food options in denver which is fucking amazing but i would never move to
actually denver just because of yeah it's just it's a little bit too crowded for me i'm not like
a city person i live on the outskirts of the city in general.
I mean, I'm getting more and more comfortable in public.
Like, I, you know, for the longest time I had anxiety until, like, I totally snapped mentally and started just being positive everywhere I go, which has really worked out.
But it's totally different than how I was before.
Like, there could be, like, 1,500 people in here, 10,000 000 people in here it wouldn't change me or my anxiety level at all which is really amazing
yeah i i was a shy kid before you know which didn't make too much sense like you get me alone
or in a small group i'm talking and having fun but it used to be you more than three people
god man my anxiety kicks in yeah much better denver is yeah that's that's one of the
reasons why i i left there it's just because it was going to call out of springs might be the most
expensive place i moved to where were you all right denver yeah i was in the denver area it was um
the um i've colorado springs is nice um yeah I think it you would say it's a little cheaper
there but um oh yeah it just it got very crowded and um granted I I know it got even worse after
I left but um but you're right in the fact that the food scene there is pretty good.
And I do feel like when it comes to, I guess,
what would you call it, alternative lifestyle menus and stuff like that,
they're usually pretty friendly there.
I've been all over the place.
Italy might have a good competition,
but really, Denver does the best in any state I've been to.
And you can get Rocky Mountain oysters there.
Not that, you know, you really wouldn't eat those, but.
They're a bit nutty for me.
But yeah, it's kind of crazy.
Yeah, I don't know the exact date.
Damn, I might not be able to make this.
Well, no, like last time I went to New York, though, i'm running out of time it's just fairly soon damn i might be able to make this i don't well
no like last time i went to new york though it was literally like a week before that i saw all
of a sudden everyone came through and like i had sponsors i'm like oh shit now i get now i have to
go uh well i'll try it again put it out there you know try to manifest that if anybody wants to go
to east denver and uh get a house if i do go i want to
get i'll probably organize some people and get like a group raid on a hotel or like a place so
that way i can cook and save people hundreds of dollars that way oh yeah no that that is definitely
the way to go um there there are a lot of airbnbs there that's for sure especially
stay down in Denver and then
one of the ski buses up to
different places like that and just kind of go
though i mean i i still it's funny i probably still consider colorado like what seemed most
like quote home to me because but it just yeah it just got too expensive, too crowded. And I don't know.
I mean, it's mainly the main perks are close to the mountains and the national parks.
That's really the main draw for me.
Cannabis is very abundant and super cheap for even the good stuff.
And having food with no allergies, like no allergens is fucking hard in
florida they mess it up 98 of the time did i tell you guys about me yelling at the whole
fucking restaurant before like it happened like a few days ago i know you you've had plenty of
issues there with with uh you know the messing up your food and stuff.
I tell you about asking like every, literally I asked every employee in the place and asked the manager and then said, okay, I'll have the chickens.
And before he made the order, I go, what the fuck are you doing?
I just watched that guy grab croutons and then grab that chicken.
So everything on his line, especially, fuck, it doesn't matter if you change gloves now.
If I was actually celiac, you would have killed me.
Is that the kind of liabilities you want?
The manager was like, oh, shit.
I want to be a health inspector.
I want to go to the restaurants everywhere and just fucking shut down places
that are bad. And then also sell them like,
like prepare packages to help them
do that as a third party business
where I just hire other people
so I'm not doing it but that way
I could be like these people here are all
fucked they need a good deal
I'm not eating at a C place
or a B place it's got to say a or not i'm not even
going close you know it's so it's interesting you're saying with the the ratings and stuff so
i know in some places like i think in california they actually make the ratings the the restaurants
put the rating on the outside of the window when you go first walk in.
I think I've only seen it in a couple of places.
I don't think they have it up here in Washington State.
It's a pretty normal thing over here.
Oh, that's right. You're in Kelly.
I could see that being a good judge, right?
A good way to entice people to get good scores and stuff.
Because if they have to walk in, they're like,
Are you sure we really want to go in here?
Oh, Tricky fell down again.
Is that like customer ratings or like a food quality rating?
What are you talking about?
Oh, it's a health score. You know, like how they've got the people where they,
are they properly storing
their food at the right temperature are they following food handling safety guidelines or
and stuff like that and you know we here in washington we have you got like red points and
blue points and then they they publicly announced in the papers who like oh the sushi place just um
got got visited by the by the the you know the food inspector and they got 80 red points so
you know if you get too many red points then or whatever then then then you could basically have, you know, they'll shut you down and you have to, like, retrain and retest and stuff.
But other places, like California, they have, like, a grading system,
kind of like what schools do, you know, like an A or B or whatever like that.
And they have to display it somewhere visible.
So it's not usually on the outside or at the front door,
but if you walk deep enough into the building,
you usually get to see what the food grade is.
And that's like how they clean their kitchens
and how they store their food and all that stuff, right?
What if we had something similar
to that but um i mean you wouldn't want that necessarily regulated by um by some sort of
governing authority or whatever here in web 3 but what if there was something that kind of like maybe an independent
trusted uh thing that we could be like hey you know what this this project uh uh gets a gets an
a because of they're they're following certain standards and and stuff like that you know might be kind of interesting well trick keeps coming uh falling down i think he might have had too much to drink
i opened the door hopefully he can just walk himself in now it's kind of weird
weird my brother-in-law lives um just north of denver with his wife and four kids and um when
my kids were little he used to tell them stories about the the rocky mountain polar bear and my
kids you know wide-eyed foreigners like really wow that's so cool such a bullshit artist
um man so did your uh did he go up to like um rocky mountain national park a lot or
just to get a chance to go up there at all. I would imagine being a photographer,
you would absolutely love going there.
I did go to Colorado once briefly for a couple of weeks,
Yeah, it was great for the camera,
but he's just a jokester.
I mean, he does love the outdoors, but he just used to try and get my kids to believe him now they don't believe a word
he says that's funny but yeah i i don't think i've seen any polar bears there either so i've seen
moose and i've seen elk they've got plenty of elk especially up by the park, but not too much there. Tricky,
are you back? It's Tricky Buddha from DeFi Space Donkeys. Presently present, sir. Yes,
the first three times I couldn't hear anything. The sound was not coming through. And then
one time you let me up the mic and then I couldn't hear anything.
Well, seventh time's a charm, right?
Pad seems to have just as much problems.
I certainly hope it's not an issue
or related to our space in particular.
Like, I think it's just X that is...
Yeah, it's been problematic for everybody this
week um kicking people out mutant people unfollowing people like pretty much everything
that could go wrong has um they haven't been like rugging the entire space though as much
which is good so like that's one thing they got going just just targeting individuals oh yeah i i can remember there for a while i i used
to think maybe it was either our network or um or maybe like the way that our certain time of the
the day always seemed to be right around midnight utc and so i always thought okay maybe there's some sort of things that happen
on the x server at like at the crossover of the day that just consumes resources or something and
they're like um and then just all the spaces at that time just go to shit because they don't have
enough bandwidth or something i i don't know yeah peak traffic yeah maybe for sure i uh did i tell you how much merch
that i've got for web 3 it's wild um i have 17 shirts a hoodie uh some bearish socks
a fanny pack i don't have underwear that's the only i need some underwear and some some defy
space donkey maybe some defy space donkey kicks that's what we need and some pants like some good shorts or
something like that i want to make it all out of bamboo i think i'm gonna i got a new source for
for birch and stuff so i'm gonna check out super soft bamboo um everything and lately
you know i think i want to actually embroider the images on too, not just like a direct-to-garment printer.
Those things, the DTG printers, they are pretty good.
But the ink quality varies, and I hate that.
When you've got a five-year-old T-shirt that's fucking awesome,
it's nice and soft now, and you can't see any of the front picture.
It's just a gray shirt now.
It had an awesome image when i bought it oh maybe that's i just i don't need to get a new wardrobe i just
need to go to a convention that makes sense yeah and you actually bring up a good point maybe
maybe since um i have to talk to Mama Bear about
maybe we have some presently present
How cool would that be? Let's go.
you should make big boy pants.
They're all normal sizes, but that way you can
tell someone, put on your big boy pants.
We'll just have pull-ups.
That might work out well for all the people who are partying at the Web3 parties and stuff like that.
They could just put on their pull-ups and do their business.
You're not taking a shot with me?
Put on your big boy pants and take a shot. to be funny too quit crying about that gamble you keep making over
and over again it's gonna do the same thing next time too right oh or maybe what about like rugs
maybe if that would we actually have um i was actually thinking like oh we have so many
bad nfts we could make a rug with rugs right like all rugs rugs and we don't mess we don't sell
anything except for like we make the project we sell the nfts we deliver the merch, and then the whole thing is just disbanded. And that's it.
And then the fact that they got the rugs.
But we tell everyone we're giving you one set of t-shirts, and then we're just getting the fuck out.
You can put anything you want on the t-shirt.
But we've got these different options from different communities, which those communities or you could do a custom you know that kind of
thing nice i like i'll do these custom pictures and then custom animations like we could at least
put those custom pictures on the shirt and then put something in there that the camera can identify
like a like a qr code or like a special image that is turned into a qr code and then they can have
augmented reality right off of their their item too so i want to you know be able to have like a
rock paper scissors game it's some kind of 50 50 odds augmented reality game to kind of pop out of
my logo on my chest so if i'm in like six people around me and they're all holders i'm not going
to do like rock paper scissors six times we're just going to play
the game and when it'll tell them whether they won or lost and in augmented reality it might just be
like still like a prison or some coal if it wins it's like fireworks and balloons that'd be cool
that's cool you know i gotta say speaking of rugs um i i still think it's absolutely hilarious and and like the definition of irony when
um a certain community that you know that some of us were used to be a part of they um
they actually had their um their pfps put on rugs like actual like carpet
Fuck rugs. We need magic carpets.
You seen that one DeFi space donkey on a magic
comment, but I'm like, no.
Is this foreshadowing or just honesty like what's going on
right does anyone else see the humor in this but you know oh well see that's why it makes sense to
make rugs out of your rugs like you could actually submit which rugs is you like i like the art but
the community's fucking gone right and we put it on
a whatever a rug a t-shirt or whatever and then we just rug it's called a rug project
you know yeah a friend of mine and i had discussed doing that um
god bless him he is uh slightly autistic and if you don't keep him focused on something he
uh slightly autistic and if you don't keep him focused on something he will lose focus and go
off and do something else hey and i approached him yeah i approached him three times to do
just that where all these rug projects could actually apply to get a rug made of their nft
but we never went anything anywhere with it but i thought it was a cool idea
never heard back from any of the devs,
all those that are in there,
they're like, oh my god, I remember that.
Oh my god, I remember that.
anymore and it I don't know it's so sad to think about that right because on one hand I understand
the like what it requires to keep momentum on a project um and not only just the momentum from the community but then also the you know whether
it be funding or um interest or um even just like a project plan i totally understand that
there are some people who just they don't have them they maybe they they kind of get bored or they they realize oh shit
this is too much work or whatever like that and um and things go south and they just kind of you
know put up their hands or whatever right but um ah there's just been so many over these years
that it's kind of crazy, right?
Yeah, I mean, I don't know why these people think that they're safe ripping everybody off.
Especially when it's like over five grand.
Like that's like you're getting federal charges now.
I don't know what you're thinking.
Like, the FBI is not going to get to you anytime soon because they got a backlog for, like, three years.
And they're really focusing on people over 10, 15 millions of, you know, of a problem.
Like, they're looking at the millionaires, you know.
And they can't get through all the millionaires in feasible times.
But they'll get to these guys in, like, five, six years.
You know, enjoy that money
because you're going to jail afterwards.
Or worse, they'll find an old finder
that's, like, standing their ground.
rugs that you've been a part of um the first nft i ever
bought uh it was like a gorilla on the art was like the art was okay i don't really care for the
art too much i didn't want to have like just another derivative monkey project also um and i didn't i kind of
like just like nah i don't i don't need this guy's nft like there's no point and then i realized like
all of the people that i knew were like in his community as well and all had the nft so i was
like all right i'll like i'll buy two or three so i bought two or three and the next day he wrote it's like what the fuck i was like instantly a bad impression
well i mean it did help me network with all those people better so i got to i don't there was there's
always a silver lining right like yeah it was it was shit but i made the most of it i mean that's
my life you know yeah yeah no and and that i guess that's the thing to keep in mind i mean we we all
know going into these things that like you know essentially there there's no chance there's no
chance i i mean there's no like guarantee on on any of this stuff right and so you know if you can if you can either kind of
you know get what you can as far as from like community uh networking um just having
having a chance to have some cool art or whatever like that right then i guess that's
chance to have some cool art or whatever like that right i guess that's definitely kind of look at it
that way and then hey if if we end up profiting from it or if the if it turns out great you know
that even better it makes sense to do mostly art on the blockchain if it were for nfts anyway right
because what you got to say the royalties for the original creator the verification
that it's authentic right and it's if you have also a digital copy that you'll always have the
main that base image that won't get burned in a fire right a lot of rich people are selling
paintings as a way of transferring wealth or just they do make money on these high-end paintings
but like you're giving the expectation of profit
on a lot all these projects it's like you gotta think how long you think they're really gonna be
devoted to this you know what i mean and also if they were to need funds let's say it does go well
right uh is anyone on the team like capable of talking to a v VC or doing a press conference? If they're not, it kind of got a little bit of a problem there.
You got to have a charismatic sales team that's persistent.
You got to have founders that aren't going anywhere.
And the main team needs to have, I think,
like a two-year, 10-year waterfall
where they don't get vested anything for two years.
And it takes ten years to get all their full vesting, all their full allocations.
But you don't even see that really in most of these projects, though.
You see it in real estate and finance all the time
but not in these projects yeah then um i don't know this is something we we need to like
push for either a more transparency or um push for the norm to change
push for the norm to change like what what can we do against gambling on your project
like product right like they don't like they don't really care so much about the technicals
they're like does the art look cool all right i'm gonna get it you know hopefully i can hype it up
they don't they don't consider any of the normal factors that someone who's investing would
yeah they want to make money because everybody wants to make money off of it but there's such
a reliance on making that money when it's like that should not be your main purpose for buying art
that's true yeah and you can fund lots of startups with this it's kind of like you know crowdfunding
without having to pay a big section or a big portion to the um the platform right nfts you put on a polygon i think i spent like nine dollars on
poly on gas in the last five years you know what i mean like it's crazy i know that 16 last month
someone spent sixteen hundred dollars on one on one transaction because the gas for that one transaction.
It's just jumping the line, or I don't know if they lost a decimal or somewhere.
I don't know what happened, but I saw that.
I was like, how did they fucking pay that much money for gas?
They didn't get front run or anything too, so it must have been an error, user error.
That reminds me me no credits
what were you doing that you end up seeing that such a high transaction fee
that was you right yeah um so the previous project the jpunks had promised female versions as a free claim on their roadmap.
And so they went off and they knew deep down inside
that they were going to be jumping out of the project as soon as possible,
but they didn't tell us that.
And, you know, it must have been a year and a half in, I think,
after we mentored to start with, that they finally released the Raptors collection, which was a female version of these dinosaurs.
And they were a free claim, but you had to pay gas.
And this was right back when ETH had that massive gas spike for a few days back in 2023.
gas spike for a few days back in 2023.
And so I had become a whale of the J-Punks by that point.
And so I was able to claim 100 Raptors.
And I was pretty excited because I had managed to collect one of every skin of the J-Punks.
of the j punks and so i was going to do the same thing with the raptors um but to make that claim
And so I was going to do the same thing with the Raptors.
for that hundred raptors cost me 0.6 eth
and then they said oh by the way now that you've claimed them money, so we're rugging. Bye.
Other side deeds were doing the same thing,
and they were just huge amounts of gas. I have a project.
The community is really great.
I'm fairly confident in the leadership,
but they have a staking protocol.
Every time I looked at it and I calculated it out, I'm fairly confident in like the leadership, but they have a staking protocol. And you,
every time I looked at it and I've calculated it out,
I could have just straight up bought it for less than the gas costs to claim it.
So I'm never going to claim it.
Like it's not going to happen.
So it's just like racking up on my NFT.
So maybe if I sell my NFT at one point,
it comes with all these coins.
What the fucking useless is the gas costs more than it's worth
it's been a couple years but
the gas is still that high because i i mean i remember we
used to have a um well we technically it still exists but the um the the staking contract on the
spookies they basically you know it's a stake used to be like $15 in transaction fees or whatever,
but I feel like it's a lot lower than that now, but.
I mean, but this it's, it's totally corrupt though.
Proof of work is a great in theory,
but only if you're using excess processing power,
it doesn't make sense that they're kind of encouraging people to buy extra
complete transactions that don't fucking matter yes it matters to transfer the money but you don't
need an encrypted transaction for all these things there's so many things that it's like
you shouldn't have a gas fee where you can jump the line in front of people and and like you know
front-run bots it's like you shouldn't be able to do that in a financial transaction. Like, there's so many little things that they've done
that are just screwy within the ecosystem.
Like, hey, proof of stake now is the protocol for Ethereum.
And so that means that they could have at any time
just made, just taken it away,
the whole algorithm that it is to do these things.
And when we have quantum computing,
it's going to totally fuck up all the proof of work things.
But if Ethereum is all proof of stake, for example,
then why even have proof of work?
But also, this is the same problem we had in the first place.
The big whales win all the money,
and the rest of us are struggling.
If you have less than like one ETH in your wallet,
you pay more for gas. If you have less than like one ETH in your wallet, you pay more for gas.
If you have money in your wallet
and you go try to do an ETH or Bitcoin transaction,
it's way, way cheaper for the rich people.
Like straight up, oh, you're rich?
The little guy's paying for your shit don't worry
that seems kind of like mirroring real real life in some way yeah i'm like we're not what happened
to all these benefits that you know what i mean like oh cross-border payments are happening great
so people are buying art from countries that we have embargoes with you're not allowed to buy
anything from iran yes we should like i love the like the
empathy and not being racist and everything but like iran is a terrorist state we have
embargoes with them it's illegal to send them money why don't people know that
like it doesn't even matter who the person is you don't have to send anything to that country
and there's a list of embargo countries that you should look at and be like all right all these even matter who the person is you don't have to send anything to that country
and there's a list of embargo countries that you should look at and be like all right all these people that are they're all selling art anyway we're not adding any value they're just
like big-breasted women that are trying to sucker guys into buying fake art um and it works crazy
i mean it's literally just a scam. They're not really talented artists either.
If they're using, like, clip art and old art from other people, they don't actually have any utility.
And they live in a terrorist state that we're not allowed to do financial business with.
Like, you're not allowed to do any business with people in some in some countries so like you're
you've got a felony you got you got all these things that are just like totally fucked up with
it when this is supposed to be a more secure transparent uh thing and now you don't really
have to i can put a backpack in nft and wrap a bitcoin on polygon and you're gonna think i have
a little polygon in my wallet
when i transfer it over after moving it around a couple times
you can hide assets very easily on this like out of all the little things that we thought
was going to take away from corruption and stuff like that it's actually just added to it
there's a possibility we haven't really changed anything it's unfortunate
i don't know how we could really prohibit or you know the transfers and stuff like that to embargo
people in embargoed countries so right it's a slippery slope right i don't want the government
telling me who i can and can't do business with but also I don't want
to support any terrorist organizations like I get that but like the people I'm working with or are
like artists are just like stuck at home they're not like actually terrorists you know what I mean
they're just like innocent bystanders yeah so sad yeah and it really does go back to the whole, where is that line between regulation and decentralization, right?
Because they don't, you have to have something, but you don't want to have, you got to find the right, where that line is.
And, you know, you're never going to please anyone either at this point yeah so it should be that
if you can prove that you're you're generating revenue from a legit job uh you know you have
no ties to any of those people in the in organization, right? If you can pass an FBI background check,
then yeah, I'll send money to you in Iran, sure.
But that's not what they're doing.
There's no verification process.
And even still, I don't know how they they could even legitimately
I don't know because then who would control
that who would be able to say
that's part of the point though
it was designed to hide money
and not use government currencies
that's the purpose of it. For the
first like 10 years or not even the first like five years of blockchain is basically all it was.
It was just black like backroom deals and black market transactions. I mean I know so many dealers
that are into crypto and normal people, normal friends don't they don't even know if like i
think about it you know they're just now starting to like ask me questions
i'm like when a big bitcoin came out and was like like in 2009 or 2012. my dates are all
fucked up right this second i got a little bit cloudy i need to eat, hydrate, and take my meds again, I think.
Had to pop in, say what's up, and happy
Much love, fam. I kept you
talking like a half hour overboard.
definitely appreciate the
I still have no idea like where the hell
uh mama bear is i hear him talking out in the living room so yeah i was just about to ask
right i got it i got a message literally an hour and 12 minutes ago saying i'm sorry they will leave soon an hour and 12 minutes later
and I'm like what are you doing we need to leave and 2 30 comes around so funny yeah i think at this rate i'm i'm just uh trying to hold out until uh until what if space
what if you're doing your space at 603 right this is friday friday um i don't do a space on fridays right now
no no what if i meant oh what if yeah yeah i don't even see what if in here oh yeah there he is
candy how's it going okay i found oh that's right there's no credit
okay i found oh that's right it's no credit no reminders i am posting this to the top
where the heck is it i'm still getting used to the whole um yeah it has changed a little bit
keep on my it never stays you know the same for any mere period of time and it's
who's making their fucking graphic user interface i don't understand because like some stuff is just not connected and it did it in the
past fine like what they read in the code somewhere just messed everything up but they gotta they have
to work something out and then but every time they fix something they break something else somehow
i'm still waiting for them jamama did they ever fix the jumbotron on the web
i don't think so no um uh i swear
although i did hear that um elon talked about um open sourcing x
so that way like um you know all of the one else oh it is it's gonna fix it for him
it is available on web it is available it's now now it's the top option when you hit the up arrow
thing yeah so they fixed it and when you're on an iphone and you go to share the space you got to
go all the way to the right now instead of on the left hand side where it was like right immediately
visible it's all the way to the right um well it's about five from the end but there's a bunch
of them there and it's like you want to share it on other social media would you like to message it
and usually that's the stuff that was at the end so it's kind of weird the the order that they put
everything in when they made that change like if you're gonna make the change you can't change two
things at the same time for your users it's gonna it's gonna cause some confusion right like you change one of those things you wait
a month and then you change the other yeah no i'm yeah it is funny how there's so many um
i don't know i don't know if it's just something because I'm, I work in software and it's something that I try to achieve, you know, both from a visual performance, like pleasingness and like an actual user interaction, just seeing how so many websites and stuff like that.
um so many websites and stuff like that it's like have you have you even thought about this
of how how it's supposed to work from a user perspective um or or like um that's and that's
the other problem with when it comes to vibe coding i don't know if anyone's noticed but
like a lot of these these quick vibe coded apps that they're you knowoded apps that they rely on,
you know, Cursor or whatever to create the apps.
You can totally just tell that they don't really think through
The good ones, actually, if you actually do it properly of, you know,
hey, let me do the design and think of, you know,
whether it be start it up in a Figma and design it
and then feed that to the AI and say, hey, here, build this.
Yeah, you've got to do the then sure yeah you got to do the facts
you're gonna do the facts after the fact you first you want to like get how it looks make it pretty and like you know organize which sections you'll fill with which information and then you add the
information because if you if you go with coding the information first then you're like if you don't
If you don't do it in exactly a certain order,
do it in exactly a certain order you're just going to totally screw up your your format
you're just going to totally screw up your format.
I'll catch you in the next space in like 15 minutes.
I'm going to go get me a snack real quick
and say hi to some other people real fast.
So yeah, give a hug to Mama Bear for me
and stay positive, everyone.
All right, Jamal. what are we doing here we um we're gonna try and keep keep going here we wanna so did mama bear get abducted by hands or what you know it's funny that you say that um no credits
because last night i was i was talking with pup right because i was um i was chatting with him on
the back end and uh i was just going over like okay what else can go wrong here right because it
was power had just gone out right while we were eating our
our poke bowl for dinner and um i was like okay what else do you have on the on the um
on the bingo card by the way that reminds me no credits if if we have time that would be an
awesome idea to start the year off with that idea that
I think you sent me a long-ass time ago.
Nice. Yeah, that'd be kind of cool um but anyway so yeah i was like what else man what else do you have on the bed do you have on the bingo card maybe we can drum up
an uh an alien invasion or i'm sorry alien abduction or something and uh you know that uh it was just funny but no they're
mama bear she's still out visiting with with middle bear and uh
you know they're i guess they're talking catching up so
um i'm here holding down the fort with you guys so you've done a great job, Papa Bear.
It's almost like you've done it before.
Maybe, but I will actually, you know,
I do have something for you guys a little bit in here
before we close out the space.
But I guess I should actually go up and and confirm right since it's been a while and
this has been an extra long space and um you know we're just we're not used to talking i i
at this rate i feel like i have used three days worth of my word count for the day so
mountain bear for the rest of the weekend she's screwed I'll just be sitting there
oh mate you've done a really good job
and I was just going to say you can tell we like you
because we've not all been naughty
have we do you remember in school when like the teacher went out and you had like a substitute teacher and it was just going to say you can tell we like you because we've not all been naughty have we? Do you remember in school when like the teacher
went out and you had like a substitute teacher
and it was just chaos? Like it's not
been out, it's been quite cool. So
you can tell you've done well.
did kind of wonder, like I've
seen reactions down there below
and I'm going, okay, alright
maybe they're not completely I mean, I've seen reactions down there below, and I'm going, okay, all right.
Maybe they're not completely, you know, lost,
or they're actually listening somewhat here.
So that's good, and I appreciate you guys. And Babs has probably come back in this space going,
I'm already done with dinner, and he's still going?
Mama Bear hasn't come back yet?
Well, it just shows who the real handbrake is, doesn't it?
Like, you know, it's all right.
Is there anything special that you you have planned here
It is the weekend my days have been completely off
Sorry, we're talking to me no pads
Actually, I was gonna say pads you sound a lot better
Cheers mate, I've literally just been
tucked in bed for about three days
are you doing good now no credits as well
I know you had the well probably not the same
flu but like a different one
mate with all this international
travel could quite well be the same one
it took me out for a couple days, but I've been busy all week,
so I just had to get over it.
You both don't think you're doing much better.
All right. that is good that's good all right um let's go ahead and just round through the uh through this thing here real quick um reminder on the nice list so the plan is we're going to shut off the
nice list sometime tomorrow night so if you don't have your wallet in,
you will want to make sure you do that.
If you have had issues with it,
please feel free to DM either Mama Bear or I with your wallet address
and we'll manually make sure that it gets added.
Otherwise, you know, it should be worked i i think um there
shouldn't be any problems anymore with with actually being able to log in with the website um
but um please let us know if you if you do have issues or if you you're like you know what screw
this i don't trust this just can you here, can you do it for me?
I like to avoid having to manually input a bunch of wallet addresses at this point in the day.
But I will do it for you guys if you've been nice.
So, and then, like I said, Sunday is the plan still.
And then, like I said, Sunday is the plan still.
We're going to go ahead and think we decided 10 a.m. Papa Standard Time is when we kind of kick things off and then have a few breaks in between with some hostile takeovers.
And then just kind of kick it and have some fun.
Maybe, I don't know, maybe we can come up with some cool activities to go along the way too.
So, that's kind of what's going on.
But also don't forget, today was a badge day.
Also don't forget, today was a badge day, so the final present badge, last call,
that is up in the Jumbotron. Make sure that you claim your badge, and the code for that is LIST, I S T and, um, we'll see how many people actually claim it.
And, um, what else we got?
What if space is coming up here in about 12 minutes?
So, um, this probably be, you know, just long enough to maybe go get a do your bathroom break and show up
so you can support him and then of course tomorrow morning i believe is going to be
uh saucy saturday like usual so that'll be fun um and then that looks like it's it up here right
And then that looks like it's it up here, right?
Any last minute words of wisdom or anything like that?
He just gives a thumbs down.
Tricky, if you're still there,
do you have anything else?
You already said your goodbyes.
I'll save you, Papa Bear.
Roar! Thanks, everyone Bear. There we go. No credits. Give us one last roar. Roar!
Thanks, everyone, for listening this long.
Papa Bear appreciates it.
And I can't wait for the mint.
And, Pads, anything for you?
Oh, hands up. High five. what's up pads
sorry mate yeah just good night stuff i was just gonna say we are streaming the jake paul
and anthony joshua fight in the msc discord so if anyone's like bored or anything just jump in there yeah we'll be there for a
little bit a few hours probably uh if not have a good night yeah just god bless you all enjoy your
sleep or like whatever you're doing because i don't know what time zone you're in so
perfect pass well thank you for love years much love man all right um and then i guess it is my
turn to close out i will leave you with this aardvark a nocturnal burrowing mammal with long
ears a tubular snout and a long extensible tongue feeding on ants and termites
we'll be back at this again tomorrow
maybe Mama Bear will be alive and well
that'll be at 4pm Papa Standard Time Maybe Mama Bear will be alive and well and ready to join us.
That'll be at 4 p.m. Papa Standard Time tomorrow.
That's 7 o'clock Eastern.
And until then, do something kind for yourself.
Take a moment, stay present, and as always, move with intention.
Since she's not here to close out, then I will play a song.
I'll play a song. I'm not sure what you're doing I'm not sure what you're doing I'm not sure what you're doing I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing
I'm not sure what you're doing I'm not sure what you're doing It's more than a vibe, it's a feeling, it's connection
A world full of noise, here's a space for reflection
No stress, no cap, we just reel in the moment
Build it with the fam, good vibes, we own it
Lifelong's true talk, late night confessions
Wisdom get past like generational lessons
When life's moving fast, it's a blessing, we can slow it
Be here together, feel the love and show it
Right here, no pretending
Heart staying open and ended
In this space, yeah, we safe
Good energy, we say good energy we send it.
I got a view of time on, I'm a bear and papa.
There it is, and we're here right now.
In this space, presently present.
Presently present right here, no pretending
Mama bear, papa bear, heart staying open
In this space that we save your energy will stand in
and we'll see you tomorrow Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. .
