let's go let's fucking go that was exactly what I needed to start off pimp radio episode I don't know this is going to be a good space guys I see a lot of requests
already but I wanted to wait and kind of just introduce the space I know there's some I think
there's some new people in we are going to be having a couple newcomers I believe I've
been told so yeah this is plug your music please if you want to come up and perform
a song tell us a little about yourself you're welcome to everybody's welcome to all genres
of music so you just request to be a speaker it will bring you up we do get busy so if
you want to come up like now is the time now is the time to come up and do your thing so
things will get busy as the night goes on yeah and then when you get up here just raise
your hand with the little emoji thing and be good to go fondue Tony are you ready yes
wait Tony did you want to play a song do we want to do like a host introduction that was our theme
song and I feel like we could do a host introduction and then move on that sounds great do we have the
spreadsheet queued up is it the same spreadsheet I'll open it spreadsheet it's queued up the uh
today's date yeah you go under the black line um you'll see you'll see all the uh all the
recent dates under the black line instead of scrolling over scroll down I see who who came up
with that genius I love it um no I'm not I'm not ready yet so if you're ready to do a song that
would be great um I'm just getting back into it but I might be able to share one later yeah no
problem no problem oh I hope you feel better soon holy shit I just whacked myself in the head be
careful yeah I mean I'm down in my home studio so before the night's over there may be
ways to get into it and I might write a song while you guys are all doing this we'll see
oh I'm excited okay
I think I'm in tune um any requests from our current speakers
um boiler room uh you know it's funny I always request boiler room I was actually gonna request
dancing cry well too bad I got it from well I've got the co-host and you don't so you'll have to
listen to every word that I have to say I was going to request that other one that I can't
remember if you ever found a title for more recent one the it's like a slow song didn't eat slow song
it's freaking great yeah um I think we're gonna call it if it's the one you're thinking of um
I think we're gonna call it silly games that one yeah okay um well now I don't know what to do
because we were really helpful yeah silly game silly game silly games okay it's two two people
asking for silly games now okay let's do this it's not I don't know if this song's done we're
gonna see how it goes
I got a tune fuck it's because I moved the sorry yeah that's the line but it's an
A it's not an E but anyway you can't stop yeah it's because I moved the capo
fun fact you got a tune for anybody that doesn't know this I'm sure everyone knows but you got
to tune your guitar with your capo on I don't even know what a capo is
it's like a clip that you put over the strings and you put it on whatever fret
you want to become your new starting point on the guitar so like when you see like the top of the
guitar anyways I'm not gonna I'm not gonna explain anyways
when you know it's not fair it's not fair but it's okay I love that smile I always stare
I promise me you'll never leave oh do you still care still care I know that you say it
but I wanna see it I want you to cry
so I know that you love me
I want you to hurt
so I know that you care
I want you to fight
when you get angry
so I know that your heart is still there
I've been hurt I've been wrong I played along to those silly games
on the surface it seems so perfect until it's too late
too late maybe we could say the things we seem to hide away
hide away you and me we are a team and this year angels play
I know that you say it but I wanna see it I want you to cry
so I know that you love me
I want you to hurt
so I know that you care
I want you to fight
when you get angry
so I know that your heart is still there
so I know that your heart is still there
oh I missed your voice so much mela
that is just thank you for playing that one I love that song so it's called silly games
yeah I think we're gonna call it silly games I so I took your idea into consideration because
I know that you thought of um child's play and the only reason I didn't go with that because
I really liked that like I liked the title of it but um the only reason I didn't go with that
was because I feel like I felt like silly games is exactly what I'm singing about
it's like those those silly games that you play with your partner sometimes it's like you want
them to get mad over something because you're mad about that thing and if they're not mad about it
then you're mad at them because they're not mad and it's like it's all just stupid silly games
that we play because we we require literally it's like a human requirement for us to to crave like
emotional um uh like reciprocation right so yeah that's why I went with silly games love it amazing
my mute button is so weird tonight I can't yeah mine didn't want to unmute just now either
um yeah that's a great track moa great song thank you um I'm curious before we move on I'm curious
because I'm still grappling with this song of like do I I like the song as it is and I'm scared
to write a bridge that's why I haven't written a bridge because I love the song as it is but then
I have also considered because um Tony we were talking about it in over DMS or text or something
and I'm like I want to get fondue's opinion fondue thumper do you think that oh and Dave's up here
do you guys think that that song needs a bridge hmm need no I mean need is such an interesting
word uh I I mean I'd I'd kind of like to hear a bridge but that but it's like I'd like to
hear a bridge from the sense of I'd like to hear it so that I could really decide like does it really
need it or not was I saying was I DMing you or something mela saying you should put a bridge in
there yeah I remember you mentioned like hey I I don't want to step on any toes by telling you to
do this but I are not telling me but you suggested that a bridge could um benefit the song maybe it
doesn't need it but it could benefit the song and now I'm like hmm maybe I should write a bridge
but I brought I okay so I want to get everybody's insight before we well let me give you my updated
opinion because I don't know what I was thinking there because now that I'm hearing it I just think
a nice slow language instrumental with the same words might just be fine that's what I was thinking
thinking like a guitar solo or not it doesn't even need to be a guitar it could be like I don't know
some sort of instrumental just very low-key vibey solo to match the energy of the song can I propose
that if you are going to use an instrumental solo that you incorporate the sound of some
crocanal pieces flicking against each other as your percussion yes oh my god that would be amazing
that is my only contribution to this by yes that's why I brought you up I was like I know
he doesn't want to sing anything I know he wants to say something to this so yeah oh my god crocanal
is the best game guys and one day when I'm hosting my own events and everybody's coming to them all
over the world there's going to be a crocanal board at every single game or every single event
don't worry um Joseph are you did you want to uh are you waiting to share something or did you
want to chime in on the song thing before we move on uh no I've got I've got something to share and
it's with another artist that's in the in the room Maya oh cool yeah I remember you and I remember
your dm and I am really excited that the artist came through this time because I remember Fondu
gave you some shit last time but don't worry um okay so we'll go ahead um I was recording it
on two different devices and then when it was almost like a round it sounded beautiful
it's I'll show you I love doing rounds I love that shit that was my fucking favorite thing
to do when I was in choir yeah that's all I got that'd be cool that'd be cool I should try it
um okay so yeah thanks for the feedback I'm excited I'm sure I'm sure Dave has feedback
as well but we're we're gonna get to everybody I want to move forward I have a feeling it's gonna
be a really busy night so let's do this buckle up Fondu who's first uh I mean to be fair to Joseph
and Mia I mean he did raise his hand right off the bat um and everybody else is up here yeah
exactly do me a favor just throw them hands up so them hands up we got okay so then after after
Joseph uh the Greenwood show and then Dave and then Cash and Danger Devon I'm gonna open up the
spreadsheet right now um quick reminder to repost the room get more people in here this is the best
I'm just gonna say this is the best space this this is the best space like they if they're not
here where are they like why are they not here how dare you have lives outside of pimp radio okay
it's not allowed so repost the space jump into the discord click the link in my bio to get into
the discord we have a channel just for pimp radio so if you aren't a speaker and you want to say
something to someone that is the place to do it as well as in the comments but obviously I'm going
to try an engagement for my discord as much as I can because it's mine and that's what we do
um sweet Joseph let's go okay all right can I let Maya introduce the song and I'll just play it
absolutely
hi Maya nice to nice to finally meet you
hi thank you you too I'm Maya Tejon um the song is called Hard to See
it's pretty much about um when you're deep into like a relationship and the person the way they
make you feel like makes it really hard to see all the red flags and um so you kind of get lost
in it and I hope you vibe and like the message
you make it hard to see
the forest for the trees you came and rescued me
me you know just what I need the new me consume me
you make it hard to see the forest for the tree
you would stare or my heart to say you miss me
I should be careful
because you might break my heart but I can't help but follow a new light from the start
you make it hard to see
the forest for the tree if you love me
you would stare or my heart to say you miss me
is it too good
falling in love for the first time have you ever lived before
it's so funny space is the last time you make it hard to see the forest for the tree
if you love me
you're saying
or my heart to say you miss me
spirit tell me the way
This song is beautiful Maya, why don't you tell us a little bit more about yourself because
like that this was the one thing I gave Joseph a hard time on I was like oh I'd really like
to get to know the artist and since this is definitely your first time in the space
you know tell us a little bit about where where you came from how long you've been doing music
you know that kind of stuff um yeah thank you um I've been singing and writing songs since I was
a little little girl um and performing I went to school to do theater actually and then I wanted to
get my masters in acting and then music just kind of kept calling and like maybe two years ago I
finally like was like okay I gotta do this and just really start taking it seriously so I started
just like writing my album in my room just like doing little demos until I was finally ready to
take it and bring it all to life and now I'm here just getting it done and getting out there
I love that love love love that I something you said there I really relate to music just
kept calling it's one of those things it's like infection it's like an infection once
you get it once you get the music bug you can't get that um yeah it's it's an addiction in a sense
and I love it yes thank you but so happy to have you here you have a beautiful voice
absolutely stunning so come back share more of your music with us this is a really good space to
like test out material that you're working on or if you have like demos and stuff
this is a really cool crowd of people that are all into music and all the stuff that you love
so thank you and I actually have a little announcement on Sunday she will be signing
her first contract with an independent label and we will be releasing a lot more stuff
we're gonna we'll share it every we'll pop in every Wednesday give new updates
everything that's going on and eventually jumping into a tour
congratulations fam that's great news maya and joseph thank you
thank you appreciate you guys being here and uh my you're welcome back anytime uh we run this

crowd of musicians and and I mean just lovers of music so uh we really appreciate you guys taking
the time um so gonna keep us moving right along I've got uh here's the list I've got so you guys
can put your hands down um because I got you now I mean unless you want to keep it up um I've got
the Greenwood I got Dave I got danger div and I got cash and then I got deke um and then we'll
see where we're at I know I think Ryan's just up here to engagement farmers with uh with Thumper
with Thumper ha ha jk um but if you guys got anything
all right you're gonna sing tonight I'm gonna try oh damn okay okay I got you in the I got you in
the queue then let's let's go but uh let's go to uh let's go to the Greenwood show how you doing

yo hello everybody uh today I would like to play a cover it's normally one I play when I do uh
shows uh it's it's just one of one cover normally I add to all of the songs I have it's uh
it's a song from sleep token by the way I just bought my tickets to see them in Montreal
150 buckaroos all fucking sold out let's fucking dude I fucking love sleep token I am I have never
been more pumped for someone to cover a song ever this is oh my god I'm so excited let's go
so this deal I'm trying to learn other right now I'm working on taking back to Eden
and uh ascension but right now um that's gonna be blood sport let's go I'm so stoked
I wanna roll the numbers I wanna feel my stars lying again
even if the earth breaks like burn skin and I haven't just won't open up for me
would you invite me in again won't you pay for your arrogance won't you show me your wickedness
I'm made loving you blood sport I'm made loving you the blood sport I'm made loving you
the blood sport I can't win so let's play
and somewhere and somewhere the atom stops choosing I'm still your favorite regret
and you're still my weapon of choosing and out there we're stuck in a quantum pattern
and dang old what I never saw you say it doesn't matter I wanna be forgiven
I wanna choke up just in my own sins even if disguise cracks in the hornet
and the heavens just won't open up for me would you invite me in again won't you pay for your
arrogance won't you show me your wickedness I'm made loving you blood sport I'm made loving you
the blood sport I'm made loving you the blood sport I can't win
I'm made loving you blood sport I'm made loving you the blood sport I'm made loving you
the blood sport I can't win and somewhere and somewhere the atom stops choosing
I'm still your favorite regret and you're still my weapon of choosing and out there
we're stuck in a quantum pattern and dang old what I never saw you say it doesn't matter
that was beautiful absolutely beautiful I could feel the emotion thank you so much for playing that
oh thank you for letting me play
yeah that was surprising I was I was drifting away that was awesome
I stopped everything I was doing just to listen oh man thank you
yeah I was gonna say cash gets it I definitely I had to bring the phone in
I got my uh my girl and her brother in the other room I was like oh I need to bring this in so
they could hear this so definitely uh definitely great song Greenwood um appreciate appreciate
you being here and uh I feel like didn't you play you play a few instruments I think because I feel
like you played a guitar the last time you were here no yeah now mostly on piano I guess all my
guitars are a bit mad at me looking at me with jealous eyes and shit but uh yeah try to go back
at it I'm almost trying to think I should buy a baritone guitar right now since I'm so low tuned
on all my guitar and I'm playing with loose strings but uh yeah yeah I'll play guitar and
play guitar for 15 years and uh piano for like three years now well piano is beautiful and it's
not an instrument we get too often on the show so I always really love you know Hardestry I don't
know if you know him but he's another one that uh I really love here and hit the keys so yeah
really appreciate you um you know stick around if you uh if you want and we'll see how the night
goes we can probably circle the block get you back in the queue um but let's go to Dave from
Long Island wait wait wait hold on hello uh hello hello can I can I
I'm looking for a Dave but but I'm looking for the Dave that's from Long Island oh Dave from Long
no this is Rosian this is I'm from Hollis from Queens I've lived next to it like Dave I think
Dave is here oh what's up Dave you're here baby yeah hold on I'll get him for you hold on Dave's
not here he's in cyberspace
my mom picked up the phone my mom picked up the phone guys am I still here hold on scared the crap
out of my pad hello I'm sorry for the uh for the long drawn-out introduction but I'm obligated
to try to make my would-be laugh and I think I did it yeah I thought we were signing on to
America online oh we were oh we were baby how are you guys tonight um fucking amazing absolutely
amazing I just got really good news actually like literally before um fondue called you and your mom
picked up I just got really good news so oh were you getting you getting a cable modem yeah yeah I
came sweet are we are we gonna hear the good news I don't want to be like I kind of want to hear
I don't want to like force it what are we talking here well yeah you're in the private club already
bro like I'm sure I'm sure you're gonna get the news I could yeah I mean I could be that person
that's like well you have to be platinum tier in the mellow horse in order to meet yeah meet the
eligibility to hear the good news no uh I'm not gonna do that because that's fucking lame I'm just
gonna share the good news um I prefer that as the platinum person I prefer the open yeah we're good
so I don't know if you guys recall but there was a space I think it was a pimp radio space that
we were all hanging out in and I was baked as fuck filling out an application to submit
to the government to be considered uh as an as a as an official musician under the Canadian
government meaning I can apply for grants uh specific like there's different tiers you can
be a developing artist you can be a musician you can be a professional musician blah blah blah blah
like there's different tiers and then based on the tier you land in you can apply for different
levels of grants um for specific projects so cough cough if mela b had an album or an ep in the works
she would want to apply for one of these grants because the government would pay for that to
happen and that would be cool um so yeah I got accepted and they consider me to be a musician
I am not a developing artist I am a musician so that means I can apply for a higher level of
funding and I'm not limited in my like creativity which is really cool it doesn't need to be
specifically like an album or an ep like if I already have that in the works and stuff and
and that's already happening because of other support that I have received um I can utilize
this for other things like touring um meaning mela b could be performing in a city near you
sometime soon so yeah I'm very stoked nice oh that's awesome yeah it sounds like pretty
like strings free like kind of I right I mean it is the weekend did it too
yeah there's a lot of big artists that have done this um so the weekend did it uh Jesse Reyes did
it I don't know if you guys know her but she's from Canada and she's a fucking insane singer I
love her um lights another Canadian artist she's making music with Felix Cartel Benny Blanco like
a lot of big producers and stuff she's she's touring all the time so yeah a lot of big artists
have done this and um it's just really helpful too because once you get that status of being like a
musician in the eyes of the government um there's a lot of resources that come with that too uh not
just financial resources like they have they have access to programs and mentorships and and stuff
like that so yeah I'm excited it's weird to be excited to I'm it's like you have to apply to
apply you know like I I didn't win anything yet I just won my status of being a musician so
it's kind of cool but you had one us over already but it's nice to know that it's official on your
your duck paper or whatever you guys have up there I don't know you have weird stuff yeah but it's
cool like this is something that I actually really really appreciate about um the Canadian like
the way that they deal or I guess support the arts because um in Canada six percent of all of
the revenue that gets accumulated each year by uh like media like radio tv film all that kind of
stuff any Canadian programming they have to allocate six percent of their revenue every year
to the grants and to supporting up and coming artists and stuff like that so it's kind of unheard
of in other places like I know there there are some grant opportunities elsewhere but this is
we have one of the not here yeah that sounds right the log if you ask for that kind yeah
this is the this is really like different it's not common so yeah I'm excited to see what comes
of it I know an artist that uh she she saw success with applying for a good grant and she used it to
um she recorded an album and music videos for various songs on that album she's been touring
she's been working with like really like top of the line producers and engineers and I love doing
things myself like I really do it's hard for me to give up any creative control when it comes to
being in the studio because like I just like being a part of the process so it's it's always like
nerve-wracking to go and work with other people especially because Dakota and I have been working
together for long now but I'm really excited because I know exactly the people that I want
to work with so I'm I'm just excited to kind of transition there's a lot of transitioning
happening right now like I have I have a band guys I have a band I found a drummer and I found
a bassist and we're doing our first rehearsal on Saturday so that's crazy that means Mela B is
going to be playing with a band and that means Mela B can get more gigs because a lot of gigs
want bands right like they want to to fill out their venue and it's it's a lot easier to fill
out a venue with with bands so um anyway enough about me I'm excited I'm stoked I'll keep you
guys posted I'm stoked for you Mela that's awesome thank you oh no thank you
are you gonna play us a song Dave yeah I can play your song I'd love to give you a choice
here I'm gonna play you my new song I wrote it um last week this weekend that's called Amelia
and I'm gonna give you the choice of full hipster version which is like the full version or
acousticized version um your choice I can tell you my preference if you'd like or I could keep
it to myself what's your preference well my preference is the full hipsterized version
okay let's do it okay I am pinning it to the top you can actually go play with it yourself
there's a button it's a it's an experience it opens up it's fun you could read the lyrics
there's a little button in the top if you want to switch back and forth between acoustic and
regular so here we go Amelia by Dave from Long Island
the smoke begins to feel the void behind you
don't shut eyes Amelia where is she now I bet she's out there stressing out
void begins to open in peace comes pouring out
Dave be it's out of me feed freak and teeth park their piano z a food where we all can eat Amelia
where did you go tell me once you're out of fun the smoke begins to feel the void
behind you don't shut eyes Amelia where is she now I bet she's out there freaking out
the void begins to open in the towers turning out
cool beyond the undershed beans will give your sister bed
in the tail up on her head the peas will keep her bob again
and Amelia
Amelia where did you go tell me what's around the
vine the smoke begins to feel the time between you don't shut eyes Amelia I need to know
I bet she's out there all alone the void begins to open up the cheese and
there we go
dad straight up and eat DJ got me under me
Jeff he's trying out with me dad's alive before we be Amelia where did you go tell me what's your
mind the smoke begins to feel the void behind you don't shut eyes Amelia where is she now I bet
she's got it figured out the void begins to open in the cheese comes pouring out

okay we're cousins that's all I have to say sorry sorry no day
between my cat and rossian you know I mean it's just it's crazy up here anyway
good night congratulations I expect you to fly to New York no I'm kidding but if you come here
you could stay here tell if that's Brighton Beach or the Bronx you keep sort of flipping between
oh it's everywhere like Garrix and JLo Rosie Rosie stay out he's coming back okay
anyway good night everybody good night much love to you oh I love that song it's gonna be stuck in
my head all night all night and I'm not mad about it um I won't lie to you I've been looking at
something else on my iPad and I swiped away from the spreadsheet and you can don't worry don't
worry see that you don't got to worry yourself about the spreadsheet uh I feel like you're
you're like a little southern there you don't worry yourself about the spreadsheet you've been
listening sometimes sometimes I'm told I am a little southern I I don't know if it's on purpose
or not um and I'd like to say that I should know whether or not it's on purpose but I really don't
yeah no spreadsheet there man just go keep on keep on moving on with the spreadsheet everybody
know what you got fun do it in the middle but you don't you worry man have you seen another
another edible bear and everybody everybody's fine and I'm gonna go film a propane thing
okay so have you considered being an auctioneer an auctioneer no you could
I can't math I'd be like hundred dollar one hundred dollar two hundred dollar three three
three hundred three hundred and then somebody would be like I only wanted a hundred three
dollars and I'd be like I said three that's three hundred you end up in a fight and then
and then it would be a fight and it'd be this whole big thing and then I'd lose my job and
my house and I'd have to sell my guitars wow this took a really dark turn now that now that
we've thoroughly confused the PIMP radio space it's actually very fitting that Devin the auctioneer
uh came on on miked because Devin is next and uh just before you go Devin I just want to remind
everybody in the room uh if you haven't reposted the space Mela is getting ready to send the attack
pigeons uh so make sure you do that if you are an artist and you want to share some music up here
or do you want to share a poem uh you want to share an acapella uh whatever you like to do you
want to share just some instrumentals uh whatever it is come on up hit the request button throw your
hand up we'll get you and if you need somebody to play your track for you you can send it out to me
and I can take care of that for you but nonetheless here we go
Janger Devin how you doing thanks for being here oh we're doing great just just enjoying this
this like man Dave from Long Island that was pretty epic um I yeah that was hilarious man
I was rolling over laughing um and the the fax machine sounds scared my cat out of the room it
was great so uh but I'm gonna play a song um I've actually like I've kind of had it in the works
for years because it's kind of one of those story or life songs um I've played around a couple other
spaces it went pretty well I think this is the first time I've played it here but some other
people that have are here may have heard it because I've seen a lot of friendly faces I see
Dave from Long Island I see Kara Thumper I got DJ Doge down at the bottom there I got Sean aka
Fix um so yeah like um yeah I'm just gonna play this one and it's called That Old Alter
and it's a little heavier it's not as fun as Dave's song but uh hope you guys like it
I used to walk that broken road
hollow thinking that I could find my own way
but slowly piece by piece I was falling apart too stubborn to admit that I had failed
you see my ego was my shackles my pride was my chains and I couldn't escape them lord knows
I tried but the burden of my sins became too much for me to bear and as I fell to my knees the tears
filled my eyes and that's when I started to break down oh my soul was crying out loud
I couldn't see your way through the hurt or through the pain until I fell on that old
alter again
my heart hung so heavy as my tears stained those stones seeking forgiveness for all that I have done
I wasn't sure quite how I got there didn't know what I should do but I could feel my spirit lived
surrounded by love then suddenly I felt there was a purpose suddenly I failed to change my
heart was free and life had meaning again and a joy that I never knew oh it flooded me through
and through and for the first time I shouted hallelujah amen that's when I started to break down
oh my soul was crying out loud I couldn't see your way through the hurt or through the pain
until I fell on that old alter again so if you feel like you're breaking down
if your soul is crying out loud if you can't see your way through the hurt or through the pain
just fall on that old alter my friend
I love that rooster wow that was um
like I'm like speechless because that was so incredible and thank you mela what the fuck
is all I have to say like okay I literally expect if I don't see every single person in the space
and I will check I will check I don't see every single person in the space throwing up a hundred
or a heart or something like that was absolutely incredible um I adore your voice and I we gotta
we gotta do a song like we gotta I want to just like I just want to jam like I just really want
to jam with you that was so fucking good well thanks mela I mean I've I've said it before in
this space and I'll say it again there's so many talented people here it is not hard to be inspired
whether it's spoken word or poetry or original songs or covers like man you guys are awesome oh
I see I see I see Vessi Mink down there Vessi I love you um like you guys you guys are so inspiring
and like this is this is all still very new to me I just started playing spaces like maybe
at the beginning of this year literally like but just before Christmas I guess I was I started
doing this and I've I've made connections like just you know like emotional connections with
people not like you know and it's I just love it I love it so much and I love you guys and
thank you for putting on this space and for being awesome and fondue you're the man um yeah man
you're like we just I have so much fun doing this and it's inspiring and it's not hard to be inspired
when there's so much talent out there and that's what I love X spaces because it just it brings
all this talent into one little room I mean not little because it's you know radio so it's pretty
big you know it's big it's big deal so um but yeah it's just I love it and I just I just keep
one I just want to keep putting my music out there because it's it's just fun to do and hear
hear your reactions and like I don't know honest feedback is the best feedback so if if I'm getting
hearts and hundreds and claps and whatever like I it just it just makes me want to keep going so
thank you guys very much I will turn off my mic and I will make room for someone else thank you so much
Dave Devin that was like so unbelievably powerful wow thank you for sharing that
like really I'm kind of blown away what everything Mela said just it was so emotional
and kind of speechless but I just wanted you to know that really had a big impact on me
thank you brother thank you uh like art art imitates life right and that's that's a piece
of my life that I put into music so I'm glad it's it's reverberating and as an artist if I can invoke
emotion in my listeners mission complete absolutely incredible um is that song recorded
no I've I haven't recorded that one yet um I like well I've recorded it at home but I'm not
not happy with it so I'm gonna be recording it again so okay cool awesome and you're in Canada
right yeah yeah I'm in Manitoba okay let's go let's go hey let's go away are you in Canada too
hey hey where where mood are you
oh let's go hey brother oh hey okay all right lots of us are in the u.s of a
u.s of a respect respect well half my Canada half my Canada half my family lives in the United
States my dad's an American my mom is Canadian so I got oh wow are they are they are they taking
adoption requests no uh well believe me I yeah no well I'm kind of spoiled because my like my
parents I say I'm spoiled but like my parents are divorced but I'm spoiled because now my dad lives
in Arizona and my mom still lives here in Manitoba with me so I can border hop whenever I want and
yeah it's yeah it's great that's amazing and Arizona is nice it's like a dry heat and I would
love to be in a nice dry heat fuck it's gonna it's not it's not that nice I mean look I'm not gonna
you know you if you're not wearing sunglasses outside in Arizona like you're probably going
to burn your retinas like yeah I bet I'm okay with that my dad had two lawn chairs that he bought
left him out in the sun all day by accident and then went to sit in them the next day and they
both just like evaporated like just because the sun just burned them so wow that's crazy do you
want your stuff to evaporate mela uh because if so then go to Arizona that song was that song was
beautiful as always I love hearing you play and we really appreciate you yeah anyway uh sergeant
fondue is just gonna keep us moving right on we had let's go let's go people let's go um we had some
new people join the stage uh already got I'm basically just adding you guys to the queue as
you come up so you know it's something I got you don't even worry uh you don't have to raise your
hand uh Eber is rugging as per usual but Eber I've got you in the queue too uh here's what we've
got right now all right we've got cash then deke then thumper then we're gonna go to Pony all right
um and he's our guy Tony Parisi gonna gonna share something and then we've got Kara Smiley Eber and
Bessie all right and anybody else down there if you want to come up and share make sure you hit
the request sooner than later we know how this gets towards the end of the night and uh we
definitely want people to be able to share if you want to uh anyway let's go to cash cash money
what's up man you know I have I feel like I haven't gotten to talk to you since we were at the uh
since we were in the uh artists on chainspace with Bobby Bicker and she kept making that joke
about how I'm friends with cash so I don't need to worry about it and all the other artists need
to really make friends with cash because that's what we're all lacking is cash yeah I couldn't
tell she she knew that you were saying my name or not but like that was that was pretty funny
because she made the same joke like four times oh she knew she knew I was talking about you down
down there she was just you know she's a funny lady and and makes like hilarious jokes and so yeah I
was I was dying I know that was awesome it was nice to hear more about like how you got started
for sure in music and like you've even added a while quite yeah I think most people have but
like it's nice to hear how long you've been at it um before I go on though I want to mention that
keys is in the audience and um the the space is called plug your music please and uh it doesn't
look like she's plugging her music please so like I you know you might want to go go up to the
audience because because that's the point the listeners that's the point speakers I can't speak
uh I know what you mean yeah keys come in keys come plug your music please if you get
some music uh hit that request button uh we still got a spot on stage even even as even
and gets shrugged and joins it gets we still got a spot on stage for you um and I know I've got
somebody else uh who uh who hit me up in the dms who's gonna want to share something at some point
so yeah now keys let's go hit hit the request don't be shy come on up um but in the meantime
I already know we're about to get an absolute vibe from cash yeah this is uh this is an old one this
is one of the first songs I ever recorded with my first free trial of melodine autotune uh shout to
mela for getting the grain style the word melodine just made me think of that um but this is minting
right now honestly I don't really care if you buy it because like I don't even know how to withdraw
this stuff really I haven't really cared to look into it but like it would make me feel good if
you like supporting it like it would it would make me buy a new version of melodine autotune
instead of having to you know free trial it so that would be awesome but I'm playing Sabrina
I made this five years ago this is the third song I ever made yeah
cash you're ruggin I'm ruggin it sounded like it we definitely whatever it was we could not
hear oh my god it's the wide spectrum I always forget yeah don't worry it's classic I I've done
it so many times that I played through a whole song and and everybody tried to tell me but I
couldn't hear them and so it like played the whole song terribly and I had to redo it so yeah don't
all right thank you for the heads up that's the first time this has happened actually I
don't know why I keep switching but all right let me do this again
I got issues, roll my head, roll my head, so
Don't be afraid, I, I'll be alright
I, I'll be alright
Like I would, like I would
Like you and I wait too far
That lingo's gonna take my heart
You need love and I'd play it apart
Just play it apart
But I can't keep it off
Something tells me to break it off
But I want you here to take it off
Just take it off
Nobody's hypnotizing
I could not sacrifice it
I think I'm just my timing
Child, don't miss me riding
Maps, my gear seems loaded
Swell for a bitch if your man's
I got issues, roll my head, roll my head, so
Don't be afraid, I, I'll be alright
Like I, I'll be alright
Like I, I would, like I
I ain't no time, I
I ain't no time, I
I ain't no time, I ain't time
I ain't time, I ain't home
I don't wanna think about the flow
Shawty I'll take time alone
Give me my face time alone
Face time alone
I'll be here through a great bond
You're good, baby, I don't want mine
But you sure nobody drown
It's not like I would
Look out, boy
That was such a vibe
You said that's the third song you ever made?
Yeah, yeah, I definitely got off to a good start
And then just started experimenting
But yeah, I like the song for sure
I'll try to make more like this probably
At some point, people keep asking me to
I keep telling them no, the more people tell me they want songs like this
The more I feel like I shouldn't
I don't know, reverse psychology
Well, I love it
It's a total vibe
Yeah, like I said, I want to
I want to put together a show
Actually, I haven't really talked about this in full yet
On Pimp Radio, so I'm gonna quickly say this
Because it relates to you and your music
Because I put out a tweet
Looking for Toronto musicians
I mean, other musicians are welcome
This is not to say this is only for Toronto musicians
Because if you're willing to come out here in May
Then you're welcome to
But I figure it's easier to find Toronto musicians
To fill out a bill for May 9th, which is my birthday
I'm trying to put together a nice big birthday party
With just a bunch of live artists
I have the venue figured out
I would love for it to be something that everybody can attend
It's difficult, I wish I could host it all over the world
Which I guess I can, I can live stream it
But I wish I could just get every single person in this room out here
To Toronto for my birthday
But I don't know how possible that's gonna be
But yeah, I got your email
And I'm basically just trying to figure out logistics
At some point I'll need like an input list
Basically letting me know what your show would look like
And what kind of audio equipment you need
And stuff like that
So I will keep you posted
And yeah, I'm actually pretty upset that I didn't go to your last show
Because I don't even think I got the job
I think I bombed the interview
So it was just a waste of time overall
But I'll be at the next one probably
Also before I hop down
Or I guess technically I'm not hopping down
Key's mentioned she's at work and she's rugging
So she wanted me to play her song
So if you want to throw her in the queue
I'll just play it when she's ready
Great, I have her in the queue already too
Because I didn't even notice that she's gone
But yeah, that's perfect
We will definitely, I'll let you know when she's up
Speaking of people who are up
Next up we've got our guy
Deke, Mystique Slade
How you doing?
Thanks for being here
What you got for us?
You know, I'm just chillin' like a villain
Living large as possible
Posse unstoppable
How are you?
Oh, I am doing fan fuckin' tea
Good, alright
So I picked my first little
It's my first little music NFT
It's just the first verse of my first song
It was more of a
I'm gonna do this than anything kind of thing
And see if people hate it or not
So, but I'm not gonna do that
Because it ain't done yet
But what I am gonna do is
Damien Gerardo
And it's a beautiful song
Amazing lyrics
And hopefully the
I believe that sometimes the lyrics can power even a bad singer
So hopefully
The song is getting up with or without me
And here you go
Keepin' you posts fallin' behind
I lost my voice
You lost your mind
You say you're not well
I say you're fine
Walkin' with me
Through the hours of the drugstore
And if you return to me
Oh, if you return to me
Your mother's a fake
A fan almost steals the smile on your face
It's not what you feel
I'll check you in
If you check me out
Some lonesome risk cutter
Says I'm a brother
Your turn
Your turn
Was I a ghost
Or one of the voices you hear in your head
When you're out killin' horses
Who's takin' my place
Sticking you home
I don't think it's safe
To turn out the nightlight
You return
You return
I read your reviews
Studied your lines
I know them so well
My life's now a tragedy
One for the road
Two for the plane
And I'll be just fine
As long as you take me
You return
You return
It's all right
Baby, it's all right
Baby, it's all right
Oh, it's all right
Beautiful, Deke.
Thanks for sharing that.
I love me some Damien Gerardo.
So definitely, definitely cool to have you come up and cover that.
So beautiful.
I just kind of sat back and relaxed and listened.
That was stunning.
Thank you for coming through.
Thank you for having me.
I appreciate you as always, Mal.
Thanks, everybody.
Thanks, Deke, ma'am.
Thanks, Deke, ma'am.
You're welcome back any time.
All right, I'm going to keep us moving.
All kinds of new faces on stage.
And next up on the list, we've got our guy Thumper,
who I don't think Thumper has ever sung for us before,
so I'm very curious what he's about to sing for us.
Well, I'm very nervous, so...
I mean, I can't compete with the talent.
I'm basically going to do karaoke,
but it's my friend's song, Paul Eckert.
And, yeah.
Wish me luck, yeah.
I ever wonder about what he's doing
how it all turned to lies.
Sometimes I think that it's better
to never ask why.
When they desire, there is going to be a flame
And where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned
But just because it burns doesn't mean you're going to die
You've got to get out of the way
You've got to get out of the way
You've got to get out of the way
You're going to die
You've got to get out and try, try, try
You've got to get out and try, try, try
You've got to get out and try, try, try
Funny how the heart can be deceiving
More than just a couple times
Why do we fall in love so easy
Even when it's not right
Where there is desire, there is going to be a flame
And where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned
But just because it burns doesn't mean you're going to die
You've got to get out and try, try, try
You've got to get out of the way
You've got to get out and try, try, try
You've got to get out and try, try, try
You've got to get out and try, try, try
There's a worry that it might be ruined
And doesn't make you want to cry
When you're out there doing what you're doing
Are you just getting by
Tell me are you just getting by, by, by
Where there is desire, there is going to be a flame
And where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned
But just because it burns doesn't mean you're going to die
You've got to get out and try, try, try
You've got to get out and try, try, try
You've got to get out and try, try, try
Thumper officially broke his performance, Jerry, with us
He did. Beautifully, beautifully done
Thank you. Thank you. I feel like my cherry got popped. That was beautiful
I hope that was as good for you as it was for me
Oh, boy. Oh, boy. We've moved into DJ hours, folks
If I'm singing, we're definitely DJ hours
I don't know how much it was so beautiful, Thumper
Oh, my God, it was so beautiful
You sound like the singer in the recording, Thumper
Who are you? That was really beautiful
Nah, I can just match tunes, I guess
I love that song
Thumper, that was great
It's not about competing, buddy
It's about collabing, and that was phenomenal, man
I was just chilling, vibing
I was feeling it, man
I was feeling it. That was great
Thank you. Thank you for sharing that. That was great
Really? I wondered if it was going to be awful
I got a different phone, finally
So you guys can actually hear me
I absolutely love it, man
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate you always
I mean, you already know. You're a huge supporter of this space
We've got a little collaborative release that's coming here soon
That I'll be announcing here
I don't know. I don't know exactly when I'm going to announce it
But, yeah, we got some cool stuff we're doing
And, yeah, let's keep moving right along
Make sure that we get everybody in here
Next up, we got our co-host, Tony Poni Parisi
Go and share something with us
And, yeah, stage is yours, Tony
Hey, thank you
Thumper, yeah, that was beautiful
Great choice, and I agree
You performed that beautifully
You sounded like the lead singer, so, yeah
All props to you, that was lovely
Thanks for sharing that
Here's what's going on with me
If you don't know me and it aren't following around up to speed
I'll give you the quick download on this
Career technologist built a bunch of stuff in the Metaverse
I quit my day job last summer to pursue my first love
Music, full-time, because the tools of Web3 and XSpaces
And all the ways we're getting together in the Metaverse
Are enabling independent artists to succeed
So I was like, enough, it's time for my third act in my life
And here I am
And so what I've done is I've taken a musical I wrote
And finished 15 years ago
Called Judgment Day
And I've released it on the blockchain
Starting last summer with a series of drops
We're in the second drop right now
It's pinned to the top
400 NFTs minting right now
Four songs, a bunch of cool art, et cetera, et cetera
The story is about love
Two people who fall in love
And the end of the world
Basically the world ends around these two lovers
She dies in his arms at the end
It's very tragic
Our protagonist Thomas is there to sing to you about it at the end
So I'm going to sing you the title tune
And then I'll tell you a little bit more of the project afterwards
But without further ado, since I'm getting over my Mexico respiratory
Whatever happened when I was out for the last month
I'm not going to perform live
I'm going to play the pre-recorded title track from Judgment Day
Hope you like it
It starts out with Gabriel's trumpet
Playing at the end of the world
Then kicks into the main tune
What a battle, what a day
Never thought it in this way
All this drama, for God's sake
The vast destruction in its wake
Maybe it's just destiny
But it's got the best of me
Let's call, I'm blown away
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Cast all your doubt away
And trick us out on Judgment Day
I'll let my heart and holy mystery
Flour the laws of history
Make up a pen for the strings
You know we let them do these things
The memory's not long enough
It sure sounds tough
Let's call, I'm blown away
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Cast all your doubt away
And trick us out on Judgment Day
Let's call, I'm blown away
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Look at all that we've been through
What's the thinking meant to do?
Never the question, keep the faith
Make a giant leap of faith
Let's call, I'm blown away
Maybe it's just destiny
I'll let my heart and holy mystery
Make up a pen for the strings
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Cast all your doubt away
And trick us out on Judgment Day
Let's call, I'm blown away
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Cast all your doubt away
And trick us out on Judgment Day
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Let's call, I'm blown away
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Let's call, I'm blown away
Maybe it's just destiny
We'll meet again
On Judgment Day
Let's call, I'm blown away
Maybe it's just destiny
Maybe it's just destiny
Maybe it's just destiny
Maybe it's just destiny
We'll meet again
Love it, love it, Tony
Cock-a-doodle-doo, thank you
Love that song, Tony
So good, I was humming along
I was sitting here
Kind of harmonizing and humming along
That catchy song
Oh, I love, thank you for saying that, Mallette
Well, so folks, things you may not know
A couple of things
I am taking all the proceeds from the NFT collection
And I'm developing a live theater show
This is like a musical
It's a rock opera
This is going to get on stage
So anyone who mints the NFTs is helping me produce
A radical, crazy new stage show
About the apocalypse
A total rock and roll
A bunch of different, you know, roles
And singers in it, number one
And we've actually had some of our first development milestones
We took some of the money already
And we did a table read
But we've read through the whole script
And we had some folks in the room kind of reviewing it
Giving me some feedback on the script
We had our very own Beat Letters, the Roni
Is one of the actresses in the table read
She's also an actor
As well as an amazing Web 3 musician
And so that's a unique and amazing part of this project
I'm basically self-producing
At least today I don't have any outside investors
Just the NFT sales
This, you know, ambitious
2 hour 21 song show
So that's one thing
And as part of that
As a result of that table read
I got a little feedback
Investing a few other people who've been in this space have heard me
Tease out some alpha
Because of the feedback I got
I'm writing a new song for the show
A couple years ago, writing it
And finally recorded it a couple years ago
I'm working on a whole new tune
Which I can't share with you yet
A, because I can't sing today
B, it ain't done and I'm kind of hating half of it
Loving half of it
But it's a work in progress and it's super freaking cool
So I'm working on a new tune called Leap of Faith
About how Thomas and Maggie are going to make a Leap of Faith
You know, to fall in love with each other
So I'm writing a love song in duet
Which is way out of my comfort zone
So that's why I'm a little uncomfortable right now
The other big piece that I want to talk about
Which you may not know is that
I've done an amazing collab
With our very own Mela B
We re-recorded
One of the best songs from the album
It's called Peace on Earth
It's a wonderful happy sentiment
It's kind of a holiday tune
It's great for the holidays
The boost and re-release for Ramadan and Easter
And Passover and everything as well
That's a collab we did together
Where Mela's voice was just so perfect for it
I was honored that she agreed to do it with me
I'm going to share that at the top right now
There's some links to the Spotify version
It's up on streamers
And she just crushed that song
And I had the best time doing that with you
And Mela, I want to talk to you again
I want to talk to you again about doing something
More around the show pretty soon
Actually, I got some other things
That I can't really share with the group yet as Alpha
But there's some world building
Some VRs, some metaversy stuff
And maybe some more recordings to do
So, Mela, I'm glad I'm back in stateside
And I can't wait to talk to you about all this
Yes, I can't wait
Give me a call and we'll definitely chat
I don't have to talk to your agent
No, yeah, no, I fired him
So, it's just me
Yeah, that wasn't to come
I saw you guys were digging together the other day
Obviously joking
But yeah, thanks for listening everybody
Check out the project, it's really fun
We're going to be like, boosting the discord
And doing all this 3D world building and stuff
This year, it's a new year
Getting away to Mexico was good to get a little perspective
It wasn't quite a vacation, I was trying to work while I was there
But it was really good to just kind of
Change, you know, where you're at for a while
And so I'm feeling really kind of clear about what's going on
And I also think, you know, we've been grinding at Web3
And Fawn, I saw you changed up the supply and error collection and everything
You know, there's been a lot of evolution in the space
But also, I feel like as bullish, I'm hearing some bullish signals
I think we're coming back, certainly the PFP collections are kind of going crazy
So, it could still be a great year this year, I think, for Web3 and music
Even though we, you know, hit a few little bumps in the road, I'd say
Just in terms of the NFT collections last year
So, I'm really stoked for this year coming up
And I love Pimp Radio, I love my co-hosts
And hearing all this wonderful art coming from everybody inspires me
And I look forward to this every Wednesday night
Just, yeah, I definitely think, I mean, you know, I've said a lot of pieces on NFTs
And music NFTs and all that in a bunch of spaces over the last few weeks
We just all got to keep doing what we do best, guys
Just got to keep doing what we do best
And, you know, the market will come back around the way that we all know
So, just got to be patient and keep pushing and keep building and keep growing
And that said, we're going to go to our next guest here
Who I have the pleasure of hosting my Tuesday night space with
On a regular basis with
I didn't even eat an edible and I can't speak, Milla
You're just saying she's based
Yeah, so I think so
Is that good? I forget
I forget if that's good or bad
See, this is a problem
I'm too old to, like, know all the hip terms
It's good, trust me, my son told me it means good things
Okay, all right, great
So, yeah, Kara is definitely very based then
Kara, what you got for us? How are you doing?
Hey, guys, I'm doing good
What's up? Hey, Milla, hey, Tony, it's good to see you back
Everyone in the room, I have been enjoying the space
So, you know, what's funny, Fondue, is I just heard
My husband dropped that word based in a DM
And he said it meant something very different when he was growing up
And I was very confused by it because I still have no idea what this word means
Does anybody know? Because I have no idea
I mean, the last time I heard about it was when
What was the girl who saw it here, Thumper?
I got a picture of him
Wasn't it that song, you know, I'm all about that bass
About that bass
It's not at all the same, no
I know it's not
Well, okay, Cash
Look, I'm not that old
I am aware that it's not being used the same way now
But that was the last
What would it be called?
Thumper, you're killing me
As far as I know, being based is like
You have a foundation built on, like, the nuclear family
And you're level-headed, more or less
It's kind of, it's almost replaced, like
You know when people used to say something
People would say something and the response could be like
Oh, yeah, respect
Like, oh, I respect what you're doing
You're based, you know
Oh, hey, I like it
Then I'm based
Respect to the room, guys
Yeah, I guess that's how I see it
It's like just kind of complimenting someone in their actions
You're grounded
Okay, all right, I'm here for it, I'm here for it
Sounds good
Well, thank you for schooling me
I appreciate that
With that, I do have a song I'm gonna do
I haven't done this one in a while
And oh, my God, I'm working through some nerves
You know, I'm always a nervous performer
And you guys know I've only been playing guitar
For maybe like eight or nine months
So I'm trying to work on, like, my rhythm with a pick
Because I usually play with my thumb
So I'm gonna give this a shot
This is, let me position my phone up
This is gonna be an acoustic version
My own version of Cold
I'm feeling alternative tonight
Cold by Crossfade
Cold by Crossfade
Like I made a scene
Never really got it right
Never stopped to think of you
Always wrapped up in things I cannot win
If you want to answer, don't think it's me
Buy something strong like a dress that gets me
But I'm really meant to stay
Sorry for the way I am
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so
Really meant to stay
Sorry for the way I am
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so
Cold to you, I'm sorry about all the lies
Maybe in a different light
You could see me stand on my own again
Now I can't see
Why the answer don't think it's me
Buy something strong like a dress that gets me
But I'm really meant to stay
Sorry for the way I am
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so
Really meant to stay
Sorry for the way I am
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so cold
Never really wanted you to stay
Schooled outside of me that I'd be
Locked inside of me so deep
Always seems to get to me
Never really wanted you to go
So many things we should have known
Guess for me there's just no hope
Never meant to be so
And I'm really meant to stay
Sorry for the way I am
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so
Really meant to stay
Sorry for the way I am
Never meant to be so cold
Never meant to be so cold
Staying mute button.
I swear tonight is just not working for me.
Kara that was amazing.
Absolutely amazing.
I think you're doing just fine with the pic.
I lost it inside of my guitar, so wish me luck on getting it out.
Write a passage.
That'll keep happening for a while.
Kara that's just like so powerful.
Thank you so much.
Well done.
Your playing is great.
I appreciate it.
Sorry now it's me.
I'm over here tuning my guitar.
Yeah Kara that was great.
I mean you know I told you the other night just keep working with it and it gets easier
and easier.
Just like listen just think back to that first day that you came and played on Spaces and
you know it's the same thing.
You just keep working at it and it's going to get better and better every time.
So I really appreciate you coming through.
I know I mean you know me I always throw you the mic because I'm always going to try and
get you up here.
I appreciate you Fawn thank you.
No thank you and guys if you haven't already tapped in you know me and Kara and sometimes
Mela B and hopefully now that Tony's back from vacation maybe sometimes Tony.
I run a space every Tuesday evening called Rhythm and Wine radio.
It's only supposed to run for two hours but last night we ran for six hours and the week
before we ran for like five and a half.
So I'd like to believe that it's going to run for two hours.
It's really not.
But come hang out we do a little DJ and review of a bottle of wine every week and talk some
music and you know we play a little music but yeah definitely tap in with that and thanks
so much Kara.
And let's move on to our next guest who I you know listen guys I'm just going to tell
you if you haven't heard Smiley perform any poetry before go go put the earmuffs on the
kids because it might not be child appropriate.
I don't know which one she's going to do tonight but it's possible that it might not be so
I'm just going to prepare all the adult parents and all the things for the possibility.
Smiley welcome.
Thanks for being here.
How are you.
I'm good.
I'm good.
That's so funny.
That's so funny.
This is a new one.
I was just in a space where they gave prompts and we had like seven to ten minutes to write
and the prompts were the human experience and lust but it's non-sexual.
So here goes.
Let it sink in the thoughts written the ink on your skin the scent of lotion drink it
up like a magic potion the absorption marinated in the reflection repeating in different
directions diving into a sea of rejection all from the injection of wishes.
I still have dishes in the sink while I write with this pen of ink.
You're only human.
If you eat Hunan style hot and spicy Chinese cooking of relating to getting a second wind
prompt Billy Joel can fill your rice bowl with emotions so strong I'm only human.
The lusts left my best like the luster of a pearl escaping her shell oyster the grains
of sand with the foam of the salty sea running back and forth with crashing craving impulsive
waves splashed ripples on her nipples the cool breeze made her sneeze.
Love it smiley I love it you're I mean you've got just this you know this is this very unique
brand of poetry and it always it's like what's this what's the spice that I'm thinking of
like it's I don't know exactly what spice but there I feel like you're like you're like
a special spice on the spice rack that I got you know I always got to have a little bit in there
turmeric turmeric because that's supposed to be a good spice for fighting cancer and I'm a cancer
survivor so that's where the the lust from left from her best part came from and the ripples
from the nipples and all that came from well that's awesome I mean see it like this and definitely
always tell the story behind that stuff too because I think it always helps people connect
and you know really appreciate you smiley thanks for thanks for being here thanks and I always have
to add food so human reminded me of Hunan style hot and spicy Chinese food and you know what I
was in the first space when when melody and you all started the pimp radio I'm a pimp I'm a pimp
let's go first space somebody was mela somebody was saying we're we're probably getting close to
coming up on a yeah I think so seriously wow yeah it's like I mean I think we're still I think
we're still a couple months out you know ish cuz like I've only been my show man this is funny
I just I let it come and go I've I've been in the space like the music side of the space for a year
as of the 14th of this month I think is what I look back on so yeah we're probably getting
pretty close you know I feel like it was I mean it was it had to be like early summer or something
but I don't know you know this is the problem we don't keep track of this year really yeah that's
crazy I don't know I don't know what month we started pimp radio I think the only way that I'd
be able to find out I could just ask lope when I did my interview with with you guys on NFTL radio
and if he knows that day I'm feeling like that was last like May or June okay as if he knows
that it was like the week after yeah yeah oh we can definitely find that out we'll we'll we'll
make lope dig that up right now I'm very curious I think it was like yeah last major let's go
you'll have to have an anniversary party then oh we will we always as soon as we figure out
this date we will definitely have an anniversary party that'll be a good time but yeah thanks
again so much smiley really appreciate you and stick around we did have another request in there
oh I see rocky showed up to the party what's up rocky if there is anybody else who doesn't want
to share you know the stage is full right now but get the request in we'll definitely cycle and get
you up here if not no big deal but you know we are getting to that point in the night where I
start to remind people like hey if you want to if you want to play like get it get the requesting
because you know if you try to show up in the last 10 minutes we probably won't bring you up
because we know how it goes see Vessi gets it but let's go to so here's what I got just that
everybody on stage knows where you're at and you can prepare yourselves I've got Eba burr up next
then we got Vessi then we got me Rhett I'm gonna butcher this me me Rhett Rhett Rhett Rito you know
I think I'm butchering I'm white as fuck so I'm sorry and then we got keys and then we got Tim
and and then I'm gonna plug in a host interlude me and Mela and you know I know Tony's not playing
live if he wants to share another one too though where we'll get the host in there and then we'll
go right back into all our guests so Eba burr welcome thanks for being here hi fondue hi Mela
hi Tony I'm a pimp let's go I'm a I'm a pimp oh god it's like the best tagline Mela like
I really want to clip it listen you just stay I'm sorry I feel like it's the edible maybe it's my
thumb maybe my thumb isn't working maybe it's me maybe maybe no thumbs work what maybe I should
use my finger maybe good anyways hi Eba burr I am so happy to see you here thank you for coming
through to pimp radio as usual we are excited to hear what you have to share with us what are you
gonna share with us tonight yeah I always have something to share with you well first of all
it's always a pleasure to guys listen to your songs and Tony Cara and danger and everyone else
who was performing smiley was so cool so always a pleasure to listen to and yeah for me I'm gonna
pick something to the space as well because all of my music goes with my art and as far as this is
here I will play to hear a song where we sing together with her which I'm so proud of to be
honest and the song is produced by songs of Eden and it's called sand castles hope you enjoy the art
while listening to the song
I keep on building
my sand castles that ocean tank down we blow them away
it's all up to you I'll take an explain there because I'm feeling it
I keep on building
by sand castles with you that ocean tank down we blow them away up and again and again again and again
yeah I keep on building my sand castles
let ocean tank down we blow them away
it's all up to you I'll take an explain there because I'm feeling it
I keep on building my sand castles with you that ocean tank down we blow them away up and again
I keep on building my sand castles with you
that ocean tank down we blow them away up and again and again again again and again
and thank you so much
let's go that was great that you know it's funny like
vessie you it I feel like a lot of songs you're involved in have this like very specific vibe to
them and I always love it it's always like very playful very happy um you know I enjoyed that a
lot Eva Burr wrote that she wrote that song and uh she's saying it and she said I'm not a singer
but can you start to work on this and I started and then and then she she's a singer
and also I don't know if you guys know but she had a big show at one of the most prestigious
art museums in Russia and uh oh solo show solo female show and sang seven songs there and had
her art on all the walls just this past weekend which is huge and I wish I was there Eva Burr I
love you congratulations you're amazing sorry can I just say I'm so impressed like the the overseas
collab I got the americana girl in your voice vessie I got the like just that raw european vibe
from you Eva it was or russian vibe whatever you want to call it it was just it was incredible I
was just loving it I was literally clapping along with my phone I was just loving it you guys are
oh you gotta do another one you gotta do another one that was so good so good it's like just two
such talented ladies just just vibing together oh my god I loved it I loved it
oh thank you so much for your feedback and uh yeah actually this is kind of uh
uh discovered a singer in me so she was the first one I think who inspired me in uh in
making my own songs so thank you vessie for that and yeah thanks thanks all of you
let's go dumper you had you had something to add
no um the first temp radio was july 13th
2023 and it probably enough it says it wasn't spanish so we must have had
spanish songs yeah well just found like july 2nd was our uh was our nftalk radio with emo
there we go july okay wow it's coming up that's crazy that's wild and we've only missed a few
because of gigs and stuff uh which actually reminds me next week I have a gig on wednesday
so I will not be able to host so let's make the most of this one I don't know if I'm going
to switch it to a different day next week um I'm going to be doing a lot of practicing before the
gig so if anything it would be the thursday or the friday but it's hard because I don't want to
like impede on other spaces and their schedules so I'm thinking what we'll do is just skip next
week uh and also one other thing I wanted to mention too I am getting like video and photos
and stuff like that from my gigs I tried to live stream the last one on twitter it it stayed on
for like five minutes and then it just cut off like x did me dirty because I was gonna live stream
the whole thing and then it just uh it just died but I did record video and I received professional
video of the entire show with with stems guys this is crazy this venue gave me stems so pretty
cool um some people will be getting that stuff hint hint nudge nudge wink wink I don't know maybe
you should join the meloverse I don't know I don't know maybe anyway um let's let's let's push on
I am feeling like I'm going to eat another edible and just make it even more silly in here
well I'd like to say I'm surprised but I'm not um about the edible part not the rest of it
sorry that you know you you said a lot of things and and really I just commented on the edible
um that's that's exciting that you got professional video and and stems and things
so that's really cool uh before we go so Vessi you are up next uh before we go to Vessi though
that's Devin you got something to say are you just trying to get back in the rotation what
because I realized I didn't ask we have people up here that they probably wanted to get back in the
rotation but I don't really know Devin are you there going once going twice okay just kidding
we're going to Vessi Vessi hi how are you uh thanks for being here thank you for having me uh
rock on I'm a pimp uh I love to pit my music and other people's music by the way you guys
Sima Down and Lady Lou and the Festies they're doing like a 36 hour room they started this
evening at 5 36 hours um just saying um you guys mela b what do you think about pulling an all-nighter
for like two days um all right guys uh this is a song by Ellie Goulding I love her
it's called Fire and Ice and it's the first time I'm ever covering it here
fire and ice this love is like fire and ice this love is like rain and blue skies
this love is like sun on the rise this love's got me rolling the dice don't let me lose
you falling for you falling for you beautiful mind your heart got a story with mine
your heart got me hurting at times your heart gave me new kind of highs your heart got me
feeling so fine so what to do falling for you falling for you it took us a while
every breath the new day with love on the line
we've had our share of mistakes but all your flaws and scars are mine
so falling for you so falling for you just like that oh the breeze oh feel oh for me
just like that oh breathe oh feel oh for me no one can lift me catch me the way that you do
just falling for you
brighter than gold this love shining brighter than gold this love is like letters and bold
this love is like out of control this love's never growing old you're making new
falling for you falling for you it took us a while
because we were young and unsure we love on the line if we both would need more
but all your flaws and scars are mine so falling for you so falling for you
oh just like that oh breathe oh feel oh for me and just like that oh breathe oh feel
oh for me no one can lift me catch me the way that you do
still falling for you
i forgot the melody here i'm gonna make it up
falling crash into my arms
never let go falling crash into my arms
never breaking what we got still falling for you falling for you
oh just like that oh breathe oh feel oh for me
just like that oh breathe oh feel
oh for me no one can lift me catch me the way that you do
so falling for you still falling for you that's not weird i'm just i love you like a sister
falling for you and i'm marionette for children i'm definitely not like you know anyway thank you
oh super fire bestie
stunning i love that song i forgot about that song it's been a hot minute since i've heard
some ellie goulding and i love that woman so thank you for putting her back on my radar and
doing it so beautifully my pleasure it was my first time and that's a hard song to do
and my daughter was like um that's from the 90s oh my god oh my god stop it as if that's an old
song that is not an old song the 2000s oh god she did i loved it thank you cara you're amazing
i love you every time you sing it's just and your guitar playing is freaking
amazing you've only been playing just a few months it's incredible thank you
gradually happy for you so good to like get it out isn't it everybody get a guitar
i gotta say i love you everything you do just makes me smile i love it thank you
and you're um you're like you're like chris cornell dude i don't know who you are but your
voice i'm like amazing thank you what a great day bestie
tell me now that i'm back from all this travel we've really got to have that conversation oh
i'm ready i'm glad that you got the mexican vacation i was like he's recording at least
an album there i know it he's got his mobile setup and which i didn't i was all that was
that was a fail but that was the idea but i did not do that um you were my soul sister
you and my soul sister we connect musically so hardcore my dear
and i'm i'm such a i'm such a rock opera fool like musicals like that actually was my dream
as a high schooler i was in the plays and stuff um after my parents broke my heart and sent me
to all girls catholic high school because it took like eight or nine years to finally get the kids
to be nice to me at the grammar school i went to and then uh yeah so anyway uh musicals and i
wanted to be like singing on the stage um but i think your songs are freaking hits every one of
them and uh anything you ever need for me or want me to i don't know i just love what you're doing
and i just mela mela be in the melaverse uh you know lead roles singing your your i mean stage
show is that what you guys are gonna do because that it sounded a little bit like that we don't
know what we're gonna do yet but you know we're gonna do some more stuff like mela crushed it
when she did that single with me and where there's more there's more i mean this is such a talented
group of people in the middle of i mean it's it's i don't know it's a dream come true broadway should
be everywhere i mean what songs in broadway don't make people happy they're all like meant to make
people happy because they're amazing and of course there's sadness there too with some heavier plot
lines and stuff but um it's amazing rock on you guys thank you for having me and uh i'm probably
gonna go to sima soon and and hang out not for 36 hours maybe i will i don't know i i've done it
before i might if it makes you feel better you i mean you're not gonna have to hang out for 36
hours starting now because they they've been running uh i was opening i was there i did i
and sima was so funny he's like we're going 36 hours and i had to be like well sima we just
started you know he had to like that's like a big deal to do it get him ready he i told him i
was like yo you better you better find a spot to take a nap because uh otherwise you're gonna be
real delirious by like hour by like hour 22 you're probably gonna be pretty delirious so well i'm not
leaving until you guys sing because i want to hear you sing and that's why i'm here every wednesday
and i can't believe it's almost been a year and that's just amazing and just uh to the stars guys
to the stars man love it love you thank you so much for being here vessie um yeah we're almost
we're almost to the host interlude so you only got a few people in between us um but uh yeah
let's let's keep this train rolling and let's go to our new friend uh i'm not gonna butcher your
your the second part of your name again i'm just gonna call you me um uh so let's go to me and i've
already got your song queued up so if you want to tell us a little about you this is your first time
i think at pimp radio so tell us about yourself and the song and hi hello mela tony thank you
hello everybody um yeah don't worry just call me me um my song is uh is more like um uh not a song
it's like a music clip this is um for a series i'm i'm doing like different kind of music and
this one is for a series of images i'm i'm soon going to be dropping on foundation and also
um minting this piece on sound because uh yeah some foundation only gives you 50 megabytes and
that's awful whatever um yeah i'm sorry i'm going to change a bit the mood of the space
but well i hope you like it it's called um the series is called uh vibration and uh i really
like the the vibes here in this uh space thank you very much and um the title of the the music
piece is called uh new dance thank you fondue for for playing it for me let's go new dance no problem
at all here we go
You know, let's go.
I can't wait till you have that up and we can share a link with people because there's
no way that a lot of these bass notes came through.
And I'll tell you guys, there are some bass notes in there that went straight through
the chest cavity and I could feel it vibrating out the back.
So super, super cool.
Very, very interesting.
You produced all that yourself?
And it's some kind of things I do like playing.
I get lost in just searching for sounds and yeah.
Thank you very much.
I was very like was thinking about that.
How was it going to sound?
It sounded pretty much pretty good for me.
Of course, yeah, there are many details that Twitter spaces don't let you feel appreciate,
but yeah, it sounds pretty good.
So thank you for you.
No, I mean, look, yeah, you know, we all know we do the best we can here sharing music over
But it is always cool.
I think it's cool as the artist to get to hear your music played across it because it
also gives you an idea of like what other people are hearing and, you know, I always
push people no matter what to go listen on some good speakers, listen on some good headphones.
You know, don't don't let Twitter spaces be the only time that you go and check a lot
of these these pieces out that have been shared.
But yeah, appreciate you me and you know, just just while I'm just dropping alpha myself
and me are actually collaborating on a song as well that she wrote, you know, and I've
just I've just basically revised and put some music to it.
So you know, keep your keep your eyes and ears tuned because that'll be that'll be coming
up here soon as well.
But me, thank you so much.
You are so humble.
I just gave him some little words and he has done something amazing.
You made you made my day today.
I'm very happy and very thankful.
And yes, look out to heat.
This is going to be something pretty, pretty good.
And it's all fun to you.
Well, I appreciate that.
You're rocket.
It's coming together.
Well, I sent me the first the first bounce on kind of like a first run.
I did like a live a live kind of recording of it to send to her so she could hear where
I was going with it.
And so no, I'm glad I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm glad we're getting to do it.
It's super cool.
And it's you know, this is what happens, right?
You know, she just reached out to my DMS and said, hey, you know, you I was tell I was
actually I was talking in Bobby's space about our son's name, which is going to be the holders
free claim that I'm dropping and how, you know, it came out of a poem that was written
by one of my old roommates.
And she was like, oh, you know, you like collabing like with stuff like this.
I have some, you know, I have some words and like she said, she just she just sent
me, you know, she sent me all the I'll just call it poetry because that's that's definitely
what it was.
And and, you know, it's it's coming together.
So thank you so much for being here.
We really appreciate you.
And you're welcome back any time, especially once you get your once you get your drop set
up with sound, definitely come back so that we can share the link and and get people,
you know, being able to hear the the whole version.
Of course.
Thank you very much.
And Tony.
So now I have to give my we are sharing a headset with Gaia, my daughter who's down there
that she wants to sing for you.
So I'm going to be quiet and give her the headset.
Yeah, I've got I've got guy on the list here, too.
That's that's so funny.
I didn't know.
I guess I should have known that was your daughter.
I feel like you guys did a an interview at some point.
I remember this now.
So, yeah, I've got I've got a guy on the list here.
We're going to keep plugging away.
Except we do have I think we have cash.
So while cash is going to plug keys, keys was at work and was was rugging and doing
So cash, this is keys a slot right here.
I, you know, I don't know anything about the songs you're going to have to help me out
for sure.
So she's a producer from Australia.
She might live in L.A. now, but she's from Australia.
She wanted me to mention it's not her singing because everybody always tells her how good
But yeah, I told her to come to this space because I just met her and I think her music's
And like Mela mentioned, this is the best space.
So shout out to Mela for hosting these spaces, even off an edible.
That's a hard job to do off an edible.
And oh, right.
Let me just pull up her song.
I forgot that I don't actually have it myself scrolling, scrolling, scrolling.
There we go.
All right.
So it's called Like That by Keys.
It's on sound everywhere.
Yada, yada, yada.
I don't really know what else to say, but I really like the song.
Yada, yada, yada.
There's no way out, I'm hostage in my feelings and you know it
So don't let go of me Patience won't wait another second for it
Patience isn't easy
Stopping, repeating all the times and notation in my mind
I can't think freely
I'm on your side, your side
Laying awake at night
I've been waiting for you to come back home
You've been advised
Lost in your eyes
I've been waiting for you to come along
Why you love me, love me, love me like that
You get so hard to play you safe
I'm falling, I'll get going
So don't let go of me
Why do you treat me so little like that?
There's no way out, I'm hostage in my feelings and you know it
So don't let go of me
Call, call, call, call
So don't let go of me
Call, call, call, call
So don't let go of me
Man, Keys, I love your voice
No, I'm just kidding
I know, I know, that's the joke
Cash, thank you for amazing intro
I'm sorry, every time I've come up like requested as a speaker
It would just be running and everything's silent
And then it'll come back on for like 30 seconds and it's like silence again
So I apologize for constantly sending number of requests your way, Mela
Thank you so much for coming through
That was incredible
It's great to have you here at PIMP Radio
And I hope that you come back
We do this every Wednesday
Definitely, definitely coming back
Every Wednesday, you're always welcome to come share music
And anything that you're working on creatively
Please remember to post whatever you can up at the top
So people can support you and engage with your content
Also in the comments is a good place to do that
But my favorite place to do that is in the Discord, guys
I need to get back
Yeah, there's a link in my bio for the Discord
If anybody wants to jump in there, there's a PIMP Radio channel
So if you're not a speaker, this is what I'm trying to encourage
If you're not a speaker and you can't come up here to give someone their flowers for their performance or their music
That's a good place to do that
Because it doesn't just like go away
It's difficult to go back to the comments and all that kind of stuff
So we can keep the conversation going after the space in the Discord server
And I'm excited to have you a part of our little community here
Thank you so much, thanks for having me
And thanks again, Cash, for getting me to come up here
Because I am at work and I just stepped out for a couple of minutes just so I can come up here
Yeah, and I just love forcing people to come up on stage personally, that's my thing
It works, right? Yeah
I mean, just ask Kara, I drag her up here every week
So yeah, I agree with that, she definitely works
Yeah, that's nice
Sometimes you just gotta twist people's arms, especially when you know they're talented
And you know, gotta get them to share that music
So thanks for taking the time out during your work day, Keys, we appreciate you
You're welcome to come up here any time
Yeah, thank you
No problem at all, thank you
Alright, I'm gonna keep us moving right along
We got our guy Tim up next who has been waiting ever so patiently
He has rugged at least once and come back
So Tim, thank you for being patient, man
This floor is yours, welcome, how are you?
I'm all good, man
I was gonna play one of my originals I was gonna put on XYZ, but it's really sad
I don't wanna do that right now
So instead, how about I whisk you away to 1982
Okay, I got it
So be mine
Touch me on the ground
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Smell like the sound
Lost in the crowd
And I'm hungry like the wolf
Straddle the line
Discord and rhyme
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Mouth is alive
Juice is like wine
And I'm hungry like the wolf
I'm feeling the poorest
Too close to hide
I'll be upon you
I'm gonna lie inside
I put a tongue in
Your skin is so tight
You feel my heat, I'm just a moment behind
Touch me on the ground
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
Smell like the sound
Lost in the crowd
And I'm hungry like the wolf
Straddle the line
Discord and rhyme
I'll unwind, I'm after you
Mouth is alive
I'm running inside
And I'm hungry like the wolf
Burning the ground
A break from the crowd
Ah, I fucked it up, that's all good though
Because I've been drinking a lot
Peach, uh, iced tea, Arizona iced tea with peach in it
Oh, gotta go
Dude, earned you a follow
I'm old enough to remember that song
Who else was singing Harmony along with that?
I was, 100%
I was, that's beautiful
It's an addictive song
I was hacking up a lung singing Harmony with you
I'm still coughing up a storm
But yeah, that was freakin' awesome man
Well done
Great cover
Yeah, I love it, Tim
Uh, definitely
So, I mean, if you've got a drop that's coming up on sound though
Definitely pop it up in the, uh, in the Jumbotron
So that people can go check it out if you have the link for it
Um, I, you know, I would say to everybody like don't worry too much about the vibe
Although I am glad that you chose that song
Cause I was also singing along in the background with it
If I were to play the other one
I would've been crying
You would've been crying, we all would've been crying
Sometimes that's good for us, you know
You never know, so
Like I said, I wouldn't worry too much about it
You know, like, come up here, plug your music, whatever you want to play
You know, don't stress too much
Cause, uh, you never know what people in the room might need
And, you know, it might be exactly what they need
But nonetheless, that was a great performance, Tim
Uh, loved it, and great song selection
Um, so, we have reached our host interlude point in the night
We've got, um, roughly
Well, I guess, yeah, we've got roughly an hour left
In the evening
I see we got Brandon up here too, welcome
Um, so I got Rocky, Gaia, Devin
I threw you back in the queue
Cause I want to hear another song from you
So, uh, after Gaia, you know, I got you in there
Uh, Brandon got you, uh
And if anybody else is down in the listeners
That wants to share a song
Don't wait till the last minute, okay?
Don't do it
Cause, uh
Imma feel bad, Imma feel bad
Not accepting your request
And don't make me feel bad
Cause then that also makes me feel bad
Cause then you made me feel bad
Uh, anyway, uh
So, I guess, I'm just gonna
I'm gonna be the first one of the hosts to just hop in and play
I've been, like, strumming along for a while tonight
And I'm like, oh, I kinda want to play a song
Um, I'm gonna play the song that I'm about to drop
We are eight days away
Eight days away from my third drop
Well, fourth drop, technically
Third original composition
Um, called Take My Time
And, uh, that is going to close out this Genesis series on sound
And I, I pinned up a whole thread
I mean, like, I'm not gonna go into all the details
But if you scroll all the way to the right
It's like the second or third or fourth one from the right
Um, I wrote a whole thread about, uh
You know, how you qualify for certain things that are coming up after this
I've got a vinyl that I'm gonna drop
That, uh, you know, depending on what you're holding
You'll qualify for a free vinyl
Uh, I've got that, uh, song, Arson's name that I've played in a few spaces
Um, that song's gonna be dropped to holders only
There will not be a public sale for that one
So, you know, if you're interested and, uh, and you want to check it out
Uh, I really broke it all down
And if you read it all and you're still confused
Go ahead and reach out to me and I'll, I'll un-confuse you
Uh, so this is Take My Time
Dropping the 29th of this month
The ol' leap day
Hold back
Break down
The path of laid out
Keep falling on my face all along
In a strange town
Someone explain how
I keep the gun out my head
And a roof on my head
Questions
Check off the lessons
Sit with the sorrow of a life
That made you all that you are
Paper reflections
Failed intuition at the heart of my suspicion
But I keep taking my time
Sitting around waiting for the stars to align
Won't let my feet touch the ground
I scream, I gotta stay high
Sinking away
Saw water crash on my face
No one to hear me complain
Deep breath
Process the secrets
Exit the spirals
Spinning round
Keep pressing dials
Seeking home
Where my peace lives
A place to be still
Kick up my feet before I ask myself
The consequences
If I keep taking my time
Sitting around waiting for the stars to align
Won't let my feet touch the ground
I scream, I gotta stay high
Sinking away
Saw water crash on my face
No one to hear me complain
If I keep wasting my time
Sitting around waiting for the stars to align
Won't let my feet touch the ground
And I will always stay high
Up in the clouds breaking me free of the doubt
Ain't got no need to complain
I love that song so much. It never gets old. It really doesn't.
So fucking good.
When are you minting that one?
That one was live. I'll probably set it up to go live midnight on the 29th.
In my whole thread, I broke down how you qualify for the allow list, which is a 40% discount on the mint.
The allow list is going to go . . . because of the way Sound sets it up, they call it a pre-sale.
But I'm just basically going to set it up as a perpetual pre-sale for everybody who qualifies.
There's no absolute rush. You're not going to miss it if you don't get it the first week.
That was something that happened with Silhouette when I did my free claim.
So it's just going to go as long as the public goes.
Incredible, dude. Incredible. You sound like jellyfish. Remember that band, Jellyfish?
I do not know that band, Jellyfish.
Better and better. Every fucking song. Shit.
Thank you, Vessie. Thank you. I appreciate you.
I'm excited to get this one out. For me, mostly because it's going to . . .
Like I said, it's going to close this Genesis set that I've been pushing here for the last . . .
I guess we're going on five, six months now.
Mostly, I'm excited. I want to get this vinyl out.
The vinyl is going to have those three songs remastered for vinyl and then three unreleased recordings that will be on the side B,
which I haven't announced.
I mean, Arson's name coming out as a holders-only mint free claim.
I wanted to toy with something because I thought it would be cool to let the holders, A, set the supply.
Yeah, there's some qualifications to be able to get it, but I'm going to probably set it up so everybody can mint at least three for free.
So it's like, you know, keep one for yourself, sell the others, give them away, set the floor at whatever you guys think it's worth kind of thing.
And I thought that would be a really just interesting way to let the people who support me kind of like control the value of this song that will probably end up being a pretty rare drop.
You know, it's like I don't really know how many there will end up be that get minted, but it'll probably be a pretty rare drop.
And then I mean, I recently uncovered a lot of stuff that I really didn't know I had.
So like there's there's a lot that I want to get to this year. My album is in progress right now.
So for me, it's kind of like a relief to to be at this point where I've got this third third song is this Genesis set done.
I've got some collabs in the works and I'm making progress with some of the musicians that I'm that I'm I'm kind of nudging to to get to be a part of this album.
So I'm going to be going to be a really big year.
Mella, are you ready to play us a song? Yeah, I was just tuning.
I don't know what I want to play. I wanted to play. Why can't I just be cool?
I think I'm going to play that one. It's just I haven't played it in a while.
Vulnerable to play something you haven't played in a while, guys.
But I love it. What the fuck? I just tuned, man.
Do do do do do do. Anyways, repost the round. Do your thing.
It's the car. Don't make me send the attack pigeons.
Who was that? That's me. Oh, fuck. Yeah. That's me.
For a second, I thought it was I thought it was low, but he's not here.
It's not low. Fuck. Where's low? Tell me to get here.
He was here. He was here. And then he requested under the rug and radio account.
And I think I think maybe there I think their space started eight minutes ago.
So that could be your tuning real quick. I'm trying to start something fun.
What's up, Fondue? I have a like wrong answers only thread.
And I started it with like Sir Mix-A-Lot lyrics.
So like I enjoy large glutes that I only tell the truth.
And then it's up to you to write the next line or the wrong answers only.
But it still has to make sense lyrically and it'll be a lot.
Throw it. Throw it up in the throw it up in the jumbo draw day.
And I've got you. I got you in the queue if you want to share some music tonight
to you just so that while Mel is tuning, just so that everybody knows where we're at.
I got Rocky and then Gaia. Well, actually, so probably Tony, you know,
if Tony wants to share again after Mela, you know, we're in the host interlude.
So but after we're done with that, we got Rocky, Gaia, I got Devin, Brandon, Shane and AJ.
And again, this is, you know, we're getting close to last call here, folks in the in the listener.
So if you are trying to come up and share some music, don't wait.
I've already said it enough. Don't wait.
And now hopefully that gave Mel enough time to detune and retune her guitar.
Yeah. OK, but I have to take a sip of water still.
OK, I'm doing this purely because I need to practice the song and you guys are my guinea pigs.
But I felt it when you said I would feel I don't love myself first. You got it.
You were right. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
I saw it in a movie or two. Now the shoe fits. And what more can I do?
See, she's got it. I wish I did too.
Here's to the girls. Here's to the ladies, the pretty little ladies.
Why can't I be like you?
Here's to the tears. Here's to the trouble.
And now I'm being double.
Why can't I just be cool?
Why can't I just be cool?
I could be a liar. Make it up as I go.
Fake it till I make it. Yeah, I could put a good show on.
That would be so wrong. What more can I do?
What more can I do? Here's to the girls. Here's to the ladies, the pretty little ladies.
Why can't I be like you?
Here's to the tears. Here's to the trouble.
Now I'm being double.
Why can't I just be cool?
Why can't I just be cool?
It's not done, but yeah, that's why. Why can't I just be cool?
Holy shit, fam. Another freaking righteous tune for Mela B.
I mean, Mela, there's just something that you do when you sing.
Everybody's got to put the phone a little closer to their ears.
You're just like right in it, right in the song.
And isn't that the song that the pretty and cool when you sing it in my space, my pop-up space?
And then Joe said, but Mela, you are pretty and cool.
And then ding, ding, ding, a song popped in my head.
And then like we put out that song pretty and cool.
Yes, you are correct.
I went manic. That's what happened. You make people go manic.
Manic. Yeah. Thank you.
I'm glad you guys like that song in its current form.
It's definitely still in the works. I haven't even started recording that song yet.
I've got other ones.
Do it to a click and send it to me. That's all I need.
Just a vocal on a click and I'm going to do something to it and send it back to you.
I think we need a song now about how you make people manic.
Manic. I'm going to panic. You might need a car mechanic.
I wrote a song with my friend BP who's not in here right now.
And it's called, well, so it's its working title was Manic Pixie Dream Girl,
which is like a, it's like a, like a, how do I explain this?
Film people would know this term.
Tony, do you know what I'm talking about?
It's like, so the Manic Pixie Dream Girl is the character in the movie that is like so far out of reach,
but like everybody adores this person.
I kind of, so I've written a couple songs about this. I've always really liked those characters.
So it's like the one that's like playful and like kind of like serves to the protagonist as like the person that helps them like find themselves,
but is unavailable emotionally.
So it's that like dichotomy between like such a, such a powerful person to their character.
Like it builds that character up that protagonist up,
but also tears them down because they end up falling in love with this person and they can't have them.
So that's what at least my understanding of a Manic Pixie Dream Girl is.
So I wrote a song called Dream Girl.
That's exactly about that with my friend BP.
Maybe I'll play it sometime.
And then I also kind of wrote Sweet Cheeks about that.
I don't know. It's, it's a character kind of arc that I've been interested in and I've always liked.
So I've written a couple songs about Manic people. So yeah.
Right on.
Super cool.
It's fun.
What was I going to say? There was something I was going to say.
Can't remember. It left my brain.
Onward we push. Oh, no, I was going to say what I was going to say is we are hopefully having someone come through tonight that I met in real life at a show.
So I'm hoping he'll come through because I'm really excited for him to introduce himself and play some music for us.
So I'm and I don't have to be up super early.
So I'm kind of like, you know what, let's just wait. See if he comes through because he said that he'd be available around eleven.
I don't have to be up early. So as much as I usually would say, hey, guys, like we're approaching last call.
I can't do that because imagine he comes in at like midnight and then I'm like, OK, but we're going to bring him up.
So we're just going to keep going until I just can't go anymore.
How does that sound? I mean, it sounds very you don't.
It sounds very the opposite. It sounds very the opposite of what I was going to have a 36 hour room because no, I'll tell you right now.
Fondue had a hard no. He's just like, no, no, no, no.
I have to go feed that wife of mine. Yeah.
I'm great. Let's let Tony let's let Tony share his song so that he can go take care of dinner and and we'll push right along.
Yeah. Sorry, folks. You know, Mela Mela goes rogue sometimes. And, you know, this is her space.
So if she wants to keep it open all night well, then, you know, that's that's fine with me.
I'll send you the memo. It's not the first time I've fallen asleep in a space if I fall asleep tonight.
There will be nothing like the space. I ran a talent show space. And then sorry, Tony. And then I swear you can go.
I ran a talent show space with a group that was doing like an on chain monopoly type game.
And the the host of the space didn't tell us that he was leaving the house like he just left the thing set up and me and Philippe were running it.
And we like we literally ran this amazing talent show. We had like this amazing closing line.
Everything was so great. And we were like messaging him the whole time, like, hey, close the space as soon as we say this piece.
And he didn't ever respond. And then he knew he didn't come back. Like he the space stayed open for like 12 hours.
We I mean, we left. I was like, oh, I'm I was like, I'm out. You know, I'm I'm going to go go to bed, I guess.
But the the chat the next day was hilarious. Anyway, Tony, the floor is yours.
I also have 12 percent battery. So we're at a race against time. We're going to see what happens.
All right. So, folks, from my musical, another song, it's not part of the NFTs that are dropping right now.
That's actually the first song I released on streaming services and Christmas of 2022.
And then I was on Twitter one day and I found this manic pixie dream girl who was singing all these cool songs and she'd get up and like do like here's a 30 second song.
I'm just going to write on the spot or like people sent me lyrics and she does cool shit. Long story short, that was Mela B.
And I just absolutely was enchanted with her voice. And I'm like, oh, my God. And then like, I don't know, a few months later, she followed me back.
And then a few months later, we had an FTOc radio and we just started becoming friends.
And I'm co-hosting Pimp Radio with these guys. And one thing led to another. And I realized I really need Mela to record, rerecord this song with me.
So the happy big upbeat song from Judgment Day, which is just the world goes to hell. It ends at the end and everything.
But act two opens with this really hopeful message. And we've re-released that with Mela and me singing on it for the holidays last year.
And Mela, what I want to talk to you about is I have the plan to get a billion people singing this song this year.
So that's what we got to figure out. But without further ado, here is Peace on Earth featuring our own dear Mela B.
Walk up singing and bells were ringing Good news bringing a brand new day
No more sadness destroying gladness Await our creatures alive today
And then to the main and then to the one And we're gonna sing like never before
Wake up, the sun is shining Our light is dawning
Upon a world of love The skies are clearing The clouds are leaving forevermore
The wait is over, the time has come For all the nations to be as one
And we will witness a great rebirth And soon there shall be peace on earth
I've got a feeling my sense is reeling All the things growing and going strong
The morning dissipating I wonder why we took so long
The spirit of life is in us today We're moving in time and we've got to sail
Wake up, the sun is shining Our light is dawning Upon a world of love
The skies are clearing The clouds are leaving forevermore
We'll see the future with open eyes The road before us to paradise
And we will build it for all we're worth And soon there shall be peace on earth
We're moving in time and we'll witness a great rebirth
Not for a story, but hope and glory It's just like heaven, a dream come true
Come and join us, don't disappoint us The voice is growing, they'll get you too
United mind together at last And now that it's here, there's no turning back
Wake up, the sun is shining Our light is dawning Upon a world of love
The skies are clearing The clouds are leaving forevermore
When it's over, the time has come For all the nations to be as one
And we will witness a great rebirth And soon there shall be peace on earth
Peace on earth
Peace on earth
Peace on earth
Peace on earth
Peace on earth
Peace on earth
Peace on earth
That'll always make me think of Heart Basil every time I hear that song, Tony
And fam, yes, we performed it together. Me, Malefandu and her friend Jay Thomas,
Christiana backing us on drums at the Pepe Punks gig that was just great at Heart Basil.
It was a magical moment. And I mean it, I want all y'all singing it, everyone on the planet singing the song.
We need more of this.
It was a great song, Tony, and that was awesome. And I loved it. It reminds me of Hair, the musical.
Really fucking great. Really, really, really great. Love it.
Thank you, Betsy. Love you.
Love that song. And I'm so, I'm proud that I was the artist to re-record that with you.
It was a lot of fun. It was, you could ask Dakota, like when we went into the studio to do the vocals,
I was like, man, this is actually so much fun to record. It's just a great song.
I love that. I love that, Mela. Look, and your voice was made for it. It really was such an honor to have you on it.
And again, I do want to talk to you about where we're going to take this. So yeah, all my love.
I'm going to slip out soon. I hope I get to hear a few more people perform first, but thanks for listening, everybody.
Welcome back, Tony. Thanks. Thanks for being here. You know, it was it was weird without you. Rocky did OK.
You know, like he did fine, but it ain't the same. It ain't the same without Tony.
So Rocky has asked me to push him down the list a little bit. This guy is always ordering food somewhere.
So we're going to we're going to move him and we're going to go to our friend Gaia. Gaia, how are you?
Welcome. I think this is your first time in the space. Yeah. Hi, everybody. This is my first time here.
I think I've already sung before for a couple of people here, but this is my first time here in PIMP radio.
So yeah, I didn't really come to plug anything. I just wanted to share some music. So I wanted to sing dreams by Fleetwood Mac.
Would that be OK? Yeah, absolutely. Right.
OK, so here it goes. I hope you like it.
To the sound of your loneliness, like a heartbeat drives you mad in the stillness of remembering what you had and what you love and what you had and what you love.
That was the end, right? Did I clap too early? I can't hear anything.
She ragged if it's. Yeah, I think.
Oh, no. Yeah, she did.
Gaia, I think you rubbed.
Everybody's throwing emojis, though, so it's making me think they can hear her. I can't hear anything. I cannot hear. OK. I cannot hear.
Gaia, you ragged. You ragged. It's so good. Yeah, it shows connecting on my.
Oh, well, Gaia or me, you know, if you if you can hear me.
Come back. You know, we'd love to hear you finish or sing another one, whatever you'd like to do.
Oh, here comes me. Yeah, oopsie.
Hi, me. I think I ragged.
Me. Can you hear me? Hi, can you hear me?
Yeah, we can. Sorry, I have like my phone is just absolute trash.
And this space ragged completely.
Could I restart?
Yeah, yeah, please, please go ahead. That was beautiful. You were doing so good. What what for me? You have Android?
Well, that was an Android. I have an iPhone, but I don't have any more.
I'm I'm now using my mom's phone, which is also an Android, but should be better than my coffee maker of a phone.
Well, if you can go to Dolby Atmos and then change it to change the equalizer setting to jazz, that's the best one I found.
Oh, OK. I'm not.
I think that that might be too many things to sing. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
No, it's OK. That sounds like a great tip. I'll ask my mom. She's the expert on that.
And I'll try it for the next time I join you guys.
OK, well, I'm going to give it another go. I hope that this time everything goes according to.
Well, it was sounding great. So, yeah, go for it.
Now, here you go again. You say you want your freedom.
Well, who am I to keep you down?
It's only right that you should play the way you feel it.
But listen carefully to the sound.
Of your loneliness like a heartbeat drives you mad in the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost and what you had and what you lost.
Oh, then there only happens when it's raining.
Players only love you when they're playing.
Say women, they will come and they will go.
When the rain washes you clean, you know.
You will know.
Now, here I go again. I see the crystal visions.
And I keep my visions to myself.
It's only me who wants to wrap around your dreams.
And I view any dreams you'd like to sell.
Dreams of loneliness like a heartbeat drives you mad in the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost and what you had and what you lost.
Then there only happens when it's raining.
Players only love you when they're playing.
Women, they will come and they will go.
When the rain washes you clean, you know.
You will know.
You will know.
Oh, you know.
Beautiful.
I'm glad you came back to finish.
Thank you. Thank you very much.
You're welcome here anytime, Gaia.
Thank you. Thank you.
I'm going to switch back to... Oh, well, not switch back to listener. I'm going to return this phone, first of all.
No problem at all. No problem. Thanks for being here.
Mella, I feel like you were trying to talk, but your edible fingers are...
It's not me. It's not me, I swear.
I don't know. Maybe it's my phone. I don't know.
But I'm having troubles with the mute button. I wanted to say thank you for coming through. That was beautiful. I love that song. And I hope you will come back. That's what I was trying to say.
Love it. Yeah, definitely come back. I'm going to keep us moving, though. And we're going to go to Devin, because I don't know what time it is for Devin, but I want to hear another song from Devin.
And then we'll check in with Rocky. Oh, Rocky rugged himself. Okay. Well, cool. So he can sit off to the side then.
And then we got Brandon, and I'm pretty sure Shane should be back and ready. I know he messaged me about his timing. And we got AJ as well.
And so we'll see what happens with Rocky and with Mella's friend as we wind ourselves to what would be our normal clothes. But we're all off the rails now. We have no idea when we're going to close.
That said, Devin, the floor is yours.
All right. Well, I wanted to play this song, actually, for Rocky. I was hoping he would stay up with Speaker there, but he's back.
Okay. Because, yeah, I know I've been playing this song for years now, and I've never been able to put words to this song. It's like someone else is supposed to.
So, Rocky, this isn't a challenge, but it's a challenge. Do you think you can put a beat in lyrics to this guitar riff?
That's it.
Super dope.
I don't know if Rocky understood that he was being challenged.
It's all good. I just hope he hears it one day and maybe understands that it's like, dude, do something with this. That's what I'm asking you to do. Because I couldn't do nothing with it.
I don't know. I think it sounds cool, but.
Well, record that. Record that baby to a click.
I mean, I'm sure you recorded you a click. A lot can be done. I'll say that.
Fair enough.
It's super dope, Devin. Well, thank you. Thank you for sharing. Let's check in with Rocky and see if he's listening at all or if he just came back. He's probably got a mouthful of food.
That's why he doesn't want to unmute. You know, it'll make him unmute. If I don't don't even start your shit.
Don't start. I didn't even have to say I'm here. I'm here. I knew you're going to say I was going to say if Rocky needs time to get his stones in order, I'm ready.
I got you. I got you, AJ. Well, we got we got a couple more ahead of you. So if Rocky, if you if you want to go, you can. If you want me to go to the next person, I still can do that.
I mean, I was just going to have you play something random anyway. So whatever order you want to go in is fine. I will say the danger. I was listening, but I but I was also like barely listening at the same time.
So like like like the music was playing. I was here, but I wasn't like focused and I didn't realize that like I was supposed to be intently listening.
So I apologize. I'm gonna have to run that back. But what I heard what I heard sounded dope. I'm just I'm literally I'm trying to figure out this chicken situation.
So that's what that's what I'm doing at this moment. I hear you. I'm gonna I'm gonna run it back for sure.
All right. Well, here's what we're going to do then. So we're going to go to Brandon and I'm going to figure out what song I'm going to play. Rocky's hint. It's quite possible that I just go straight to my favorite.
Coco Pebbles, you know, he did when when you give me that much freedom, I might play Coco Pebbles. But let's go to Brandon and and just keep things rolling while I figure out what song we're going to play. What's up, Brandon? Welcome. Thanks for being here.
Oh, boy. Oh, they're okay. Wait, I heard you for one second. I thought you were rugged. Can you hear me now?
Yep, I can hear you. All right.
I feel like I've rubbed.
Uh, no, you didn't rug, but Brandon might be rugging again, though. Brandon. Oh, he's back. He did rug and now he's back. Let's because I think he probably closed the app. Brandon, you live with us?
There we go. Brandon. Sorry about that. You're rugging me a second. I started to try to play. All right. Well, I figured. Well, the stage is.
I always told me.
Damn, I forgot my little hand. Let me start again. That cool.
Mama always told me.
Son, you best go easy down that road.
Hey, I wish I'd listened to words a little more.
God damn man, my fucking mind. Fuck. Can I just play something else that I know because I'm fucking out.
All right.
Oh, baby.
won't you do this for me, sweetheart?
get your love for the rich man's gold.
All you need, my darling's down in your soul.
Honey, you can do this, baby, if you try.
All that I want for my son is to be satisfied.
Be a simple kind of man.
Be something love will understand.
Baby, baby, be a simple kind of man.
Won't you do this for me, baby, if you can.
Nice, Brandon.
Thanks for
doing good. Good recovery. Good recovery, man.
I know how it goes when you when you're playing a song and you're like, oh, crap.
I don't remember this quite as well as I wish that I remembered it.
So yeah, I appreciate you being here.
Appreciate you sharing.
And thanks for coming through.
I appreciate you.
I appreciate you.
Gotta let me get my word in, man.
I gotta say thank you and give flowers.
I never know what you're doing sometimes.
So you interrupt me.
Just listen.
Just shove the owl to the side.
I need a honk.
I need a honk.
Is there a honk sound?
There we go.
Oh, I wish I could like double tap it quicker and have it be like honk, honk,
not honk, honk.
Because that's just lame.
I'll get that one bite of a get out the way.
Oh, bitch.
Get out the way.
Get out the way.
Get out the way.
I'm sorry.
Mela needs a custom soundboard for sure.
I do. I seriously do.
All right. So I'm not going to play Coco Pebbles.
I was going to play Coco Pebbles for Rocky.
But I found another one that I'm going to play.
Rocky, do you want to tell us a little bit about this song that is called
I'm Going to Need You?
OK, that's a.
That's that's an interesting one that you picked there, sir.
So that one is actually from that classic mixtape that I bring up every now
and then. So disrespectful.
Volume one.
This is very much mixtape Rocky.
So, you know, which I'll get with him.
It features my boy Nicky P on the on the first verse and I'm the second verse.
I'm on the chorus doing some auto tune thing.
It doesn't sound so great.
So forgive me for that.
It is a remix of Timbaland song that featured Drake.
And yeah, that's that's all I'm going to give you.
I will say just like Freak, it's not as bad as Freak, I don't think.
But maybe put the kids to bed on this one because you just you might want to do
that. I got to give you that disclaimer.
This is Rick mixtape Rocky and this is from so disrespectful volume one.
So you can expect it to be very not appropriate.
There you go.
Let's go.
More inappropriate Rocky Pimp Radio.
Let's roll.
No sex in song.
It's really nice that I can call you the fuck.
Yeah, you're like my little call.
I'm not a hooker.
Show me that rhyme.
I want to look you from your tip to see a hip.
What a trip.
You give the brain of geniuses.
If I crept in your room when the moon was high.
Would you stay with close eyes or wish that I would soon try to penetrate the
wall that I've been strapping up with dynamite.
Because I want to blow it up so we can fuck.
Lady I want to see that pop pop soul arise.
I want to see those shots I'm poking high and I don't mind if they are mine.
If you like shooting out laser lines sex.
If you savor mine, cyber sex, I'd savor time.
Tiger sex, who's next in line after a John Edwards baby mom.
I'm like the best could have proved me wrong.
Been like friends since the rest of the dawn.
Untight your dress, get your name and loan.
I don't get it but I saved a song.
Song that we first heard.
Ain't like it was the first word.
But I never knew the meaning because they weren't yours.
He says he's the song I want.
That's the news darling.
I want to be talked away.
Nothing is for you.
The answer is for mine.
Um, I'm sure the things won't change.
The music will go and get you no ransom.
We are not involved in.
I just want your bodies to start rubbing with pussy.
So you can savor it all.
Hold some remain.
Hold some remain.
Hold some remain.
Hold some remain.
Hold some remain.
Hold some remain.
Hold some remain.
I don't want to be treated.
Hold some remain.
See I have a fascination.
For girls masturbating.
To stay up to me and that.
No you're not kissing me.
Please don't write.
That is just a face for dissing me.
Cause everybody knows you're not my girl.
You're just a bitch to me.
And I'm just stick to you.
Don't be acting brand new.
Tell Lou that you ask a damn clue.
That's all I want.
Nothing is darling.
I want to be talked away.
Nothing is for you.
The answer is for mine.
This sort of things won't change.
I can hear the thick of you and get in your own ranks.
We ain't not involved in.
I didn't do it I swear.
This is like the last thing that happened too.
I swear I didn't do it.
I didn't hit anything.
It just stopped playing.
And it's definitely not the end of the song.
See like before.
You know this has happened with Rocky's songs before.
I think that maybe Elon hacked my computer and was like yeah.
I don't know if we can be listening to this song on SpaceX.
That was good homie.
Just let the rooster crow.
Just let the rooster crow.
It said it's way too disrespectful.
I apologize.
I'm sorry Pimp Radio.
18 year old Rocky was a wild boy.
I am no longer the man that I was.
I promise.
So spicy.
So ridiculous.
Yeah I mean that's.
How long ago was that song put together Rock?
So that was.
I was definitely like 18.
That was 2010 or 2011.
One of those years.
Probably 2010.
I want to say.
All right.
Well I won't.
I won't crap on the mix then.
Because that's the only critique I have of that song is the mix.
It was not.
Yeah that was.
That was one of my.
I was doing all my stuff back then.
That was one of my not better mixes.
So I already knew that.
But yeah the.
It's a song.
It's a song.
It is a song.
It is a song.
There was a melody.
It did make me laugh as it often does when we you know when I hear certain
certain strings of lyrics I'm just like oh that's a good that's a good
Now we'll we'll we'll run back another song from you.
And we're going to redeem yourself here in a little bit Rock.
Especially because Mela wants to stay up all night is what she told me.
She she said she wants.
No no no.
This is not what I said.
I did not.
She said 24 hours.
You know we'll stay open as long as we got you for this IRL person to come by and grace
us with their.
No I you know I'm welcome to the music business.
You will sell your soul.
Yeah for real no that's not happening.
I said it's OK here's the thing it's midnight.
Well it's four minutes.
It's four minutes.
Technical.
Yes I did send him the link to go to some background like did you remember to send him
All right.
I have not been on my game today.
You should have seen me.
I was trying to play Mario Mario.
You're trying to play Mario Party.
I was playing Mario Party with my brother and Dakota and you should have seen me trying
to play the mini games.
My edible kicked in as I was playing and I was like wait I was supposed to press that
Like it was bad.
It was ridiculous.
But your girl got to wait.
I got three stars.
I got three stars.
I got three stars.
Well I can tell you as somebody who also plays that game.
That is not the accomplishment because they just give stars away at the end for all kinds
I did not get given.
You get a star and you get a star.
I just I got to know real quick that y'all play drunk Mario Party because that's the
only way I play.
What does that entail.
He played.
So basically drunk Mario Party is like for every every time somebody gets a star and
you're not the person who got a star you got to take a shot.
And we we also like throw in like extra bullshit.
Like when we do the mini games and shit losers might have to take a shot with there.
But definitely every time somebody gets a star you got to take a shot.
That sounds really dangerous.
And you know depending like you know these games can go a long time.
So like depending on how how it's going like we've had some really drunk Mario parties
and some of them are like even streamed on YouTube that from back in the day that are
like funniest shit.
That's awesome.
I love that.
I'm going to do that next time.
I don't know.
I'm not much of an alcohol person honestly.
Like I can't get drunk or else it's just bad.
Like I'm I'm a one drink.
That means she's a very much alcohol person.
She just knows.
Well see you know the one take wonders that I do.
I'm also a one drink wonder.
I just need one drink and then I'm fucking lit.
That does sound bad doesn't it.
I take it back.
It's a no vodka.
No hangover.
Trust me.
Oh no vodka.
I only drink vodka.
I can drink gin.
I like gin and I like wine but I won't drink vodka.
I love gin and wine same.
This is why Mel is Mel is going to become a regular fixture in the rhythm and wine radio
space on Tuesdays.
She's going to have to start drinking wine with us on Tuesdays.
Sergeant Fondue is going to keep us moving forward because now now that Mela has retracted
and doesn't want to run all night even though I swear I have a message somewhere and she's
like oh we're just going to run this until tomorrow.
Let's go to it.
Let's go to Shane and then we got AJ and then we'll we'll reassess where we're at with the
the queen bee and and see what we're going to do.
Shane you're alive.
Oh yeah and kicking.
I just got back from oh by the way first of all those you know the button mashing video
or mini games in no in in in Mario Party.
I am undefeated so far.
I have this innate reflex to just mash that button just just just kill it.
No one can no one has been able to beat me in those games and everybody gets frustrated
because they're like oh here here comes a button mashing game Shane's going to win.
Ain't nobody scared of you Shane.
You're going to whoop that ass.
Bring it bro.
Bring it.
I'll smash you listen.
Let's not get derailed.
All right.
All right.
I blame Mela and the edibles fine.
All right.
I just came back from wind down Wednesday in my hometown a winter set.
I drank a it was a dry red.
I think it was a mall back called Trigulation or something like that.
But anyway I know I played some guitar down there.
Anybody get that joke from last night.
Are you sure?
Trigonometry mall back.
Hey listen listen all right.
Let's not even start fun has not fun has not drank a bottle of wine tonight.
You know I'm I'm sorry to our unofficial sponsor whose name got butchered a hundred thousand
times last night.
Shane the the floor is yours now thank you thank you but I did just get back I don't
have everything unpacked yet and I can't find my capo.
Do you want me to let you want me to let AJ go and give you give you a chance to get yourself
No I just wanted to press play on something I do you guys do you guys want to rock out
or do you guys want something you've never heard acoustic wise for me.
My cops are ready out let's rock out.
Rock out for sure.
All right.
This one's this one's called love of despair.
It was written around Shakespeare's son at forty four.
If you listen closely you'll hear some you'll hear some Shakespeare lyrics in the song.
But yeah this is for my band called my future sin.
It's a little bit heavier but let's rock the fuck out.
Just a minute to start here.
You're too much in love
You're too much in love, don't go away
You're too much in love, you're too
Too much love
That was killer, fucking love it
Absolutely killer, I was head banging
Yeah, you all know me for my solo acoustic stuff
But we can rock out as well
We can definitely rock out and do the scream and, you know, band stuff
That was awesome, bro
That was killer brother, really good
Yeah, I loved that chain
It was coming through really hot, I just had to turn down my volume a bit
But honestly, it was melodic, it was fun, it was good
Was it? Yeah, I appreciate the feedback on how it came through
I can turn down the volume a little bit next time, for sure
Yeah, it touched loud, but other than that, man, it was phenomenal
I appreciate it
You know, you never know how it's going to come through on Twitter
Every day is different, some days people say that it sounded perfect
And then other days people say that it was coming through
Or it was too soft, or it was too loud, or so it's
Yeah, I'll turn it down, Ted
I think it depends, too, if you got headphones in or not, usually
I'll tell you, my volume on my phone was fine
It didn't sound too loud to me, but I could definitely
If you had your volume all the way up and maybe you had it in your ear
That may have been wrong
Yeah, I could get that
No, that was dope, Shane
Appreciate it
It's another different one from you, I like it
Yeah, I got hundreds of songs, different styles
Yeah, so I tried to keep surprising
No, super cool, appreciate you, Sharon
Alright, we've made it to AJ
AJ, thanks for being patient, man
I know you've been here for a bit, but we got this list
And it just makes it way easier to make sure everybody gets to share
And, you know, some of that just is what it is
So the stage is yours, man, what you got for us?
Nothing but love for you, baby
This is going to be, this is a new one, actually
I wrote, well, I wrote this years ago
And my girlfriend at the time walked in the room
And she's like, that sounds like a hit
And then what did I do?
I got busy with Uber driving and work and I never recorded it
And then finally one day I was doing a one-take challenge at Lonely Desert Records
So I did it, I got like a one-take shot
And I got a demo version of this on my SoundCloud
It's my link in my bio, so it's called My City is the Desert
And if you could just give me a thumbs up
Like, is the sound quality coming through okay right now?
Okay, I see the thumbs up
Alright, here we go
My city is the desert
Sorry, one more time
My city, yeah, will always be open, oh yeah
All those bright lights I know
They can shine right through my soul
Cause I don't care if that's what I was losing
I went out to the desert to make something to me
I only took a couple friends
And oh, how could it be that I came out lying killer
A renegade man, a wannabe thriller
The voices finally defeated in a crown I didn't see
And oh, how could it be that you'd be loving me
Oh, how could I know
Beside you wouldn't show
La da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da
again. We don't have to go back. I think I'd rather have this desert shack,
because I'm getting back what I was losing. I went back to my hometown, my city, and my birth.
The crowds had gotten bigger. What did I want at first? Maybe I got myself, maybe I lost you,
but if I turn myself around, I'm making all things known. And oh, how could it be?
Radio 3, let it be. And oh, how could I know?
Oh, how could I know?
I said you wouldn't show up at all.
I would love to get Melaz's feedback on that,
since she seems to be mostly like a guitar acoustic vocal musician, but anybody's welcome.
I love it. I love, love, love, love, love it. I think I'm assuming this is no longer your
girlfriend because you said your girlfriend at the time. I think she was right. Yeah, no longer
together. Okay. Um, yeah, no, I love that. And fucking keep going. Like more, more of that,
please, please. And thank you. Thank you. I'm honored. Let's fucking go. All right,
Mela. Where, where are we at for the evening? Tell us, tell us, tell me. Well, I think that
we have, we have some more time. I'm thinking we'll probably wrap up around like 12 30,
maybe like 15, 20 minutes. We'll, we'll wrap up. Um, I what, where are we at? We,
we could cycle through. I know that's going to take longer than 20 minutes. I know every
time I say 20 minutes, that actually means another hour. So I don't know. And then,
and then, and then, no, you hang up first. No, no, and then no more. Um, one second,
let's bring up when, when actually came to my live show at bar cathedral in Toronto on Monday.
And that was my first time meeting him. I don't know where he went. He, he requested and then he
left, but, um, yeah, he came to the live show and it was dope because I've known him. I met him in
Twitter space. Well, I met him around the same time that Twitter spaces became a thing. We knew
each other before Twitter spaces became a thing. Um, so it's been like fucking like what, four
years. I don't know if he can hear me right now. He's about to come up, dude. Has it been like four
years, three, three and a half, four years that I've known you
play. We miss like 10 seconds coming up from listener to speaker.
I'm just trying to figure out when I met you. I was just saying you came to my live show and we
met in real life for the first time, which is crazy because you live in Toronto and I live in
Toronto. So that doesn't really make any sense. We should have met each other much, much earlier.
Like that, that's just ridiculous. Um, but I appreciate you coming out and he minted guys,
he minted a picture that he took on what was it called? I forget how you did it, but he minted a
picture of me and Dakota performing and it now exists on the blockchain. So that's crazy.
Oh, is he rugging? Yep. He's rugging. He might. When we can't hear you. We can't hear you. Fuck.
Dang technology. That's okay. But yeah, it was, it was sick. He came out. It was a good time.
Um, like I said, I got video and audio stems of the show. So I'm excited to share that with, uh,
my crew and, um, yeah, hopefully we'll be there again sometime soon. It's a really cool venue.
You never know who's listening. So I'm going to say this. I have a show at Rivoli, Rivoli, Rivoli,
I always say it weird, uh, in Toronto on Wednesday, the 28th of February. So it's next week. Um,
pre-sale tickets are in my bio. So if you want to come out, grab a ticket before the early bird
tickets are all gone. And when that's done, it's done. So you never know. You never know who's
listening. There might be some lurkers from Toronto in here. Um, but okay. Fondue, what do you want to
do? Do you want to play a song? Uh, yeah, sure. Let's see. Do we still got arson in here? Yeah,
we do. Um, I know when we're going to see if this works. Connecting. Hello. Can you hear us?
Check once. Yes. Finally. All right. I switched fly five. Yeah. I could hear you fine. That was
weird. Yeah. But yeah, so went out to the show and just so everyone knows we met in Twitter spaces
through Twitch. Like I was, uh, into music performers on Twitch, um, following different
people that did live music and the Kobe raid had just happened, which some people in this room
might not be familiar with. I wasn't there for it. And the stream had started talking about crypto
and stuff like that. And Mela had started joining Twitter spaces and I had just come back from
traveling, uh, coming back to Canada and they still had that two week quarantine period. So I had
absolutely nothing to do for the next two weeks, just sitting in my backyard and sitting in my
apartment, um, sitting on Twitter spaces, just gotten the Twitter spaces just as the 2021 NFT
bull run started to become a thing and crypto Twitter slowly changed into NFT Twitter.
And Mela just coincidentally happened to be my onboard to this entire ecosystem that has
become my home now for the past three and a half years. Um, so yeah, it just seemed
right at the first show, meeting the person that onboarded me to crypto and NFTs three and a half
years ago, back in the beginning of 2021, um, getting the mint of, of that show, a live mint
as a live camera and you can live mint phantom wallet, um, take a photo, name the collection,
name the NFT. So that is now in my wallet. And once Mela gets Solana capable, I'll send that
over to her. Cause it would probably make a really great, uh, community reward for one of your
holders. Yeah, I totally would. Yeah. I love that you did that. I got off stage and he's like,
look, you're an NFT. That's so cool. Um, but yeah, I appreciate you coming out. It's crazy that we
finally just met now, but yeah, with, uh, there was a lot of stuff going on in the world and in
our lives and stuff. So, you know, timing is timing is the thing. And I'm glad that we finally got a
chance to meet. Um, and I am definitely going to hook you up with a ticket for the Rivoli show.
And, uh, that, that is my, I, I'm just like so excited for that show. I've been wanting to play
that venue for a long time. First of all, second of all, I'm playing with like some really, really
incredible artists. I I've checked out the other artists that I'm playing with and it's going to
be a really fucking good show. So I'm excited for the whole night. Um, I'm, I found out that I'm on
at nine o'clock. So as I said before, uh, doors are at, not in the space. I'm talking to, to win,
but, um, doors are at seven. I'm on at nine, but I would encourage you to see the entire show.
Cause it looks like it's going to be a fucking dope one. And we're going to try and get artists.
You know me, I'll be there at six, seven. Yeah, absolutely. And maybe even beforehand
we can like, we'll get together and hang out, maybe grab a drink or something and then head
to the show. I do have to be at sound check for, I think like five o'clock. So yeah, I got to load
in at five o'clock, do sound check, and then I can go grab a drink or something. And then we'll go
from there. Um, speaking of artists that I'm excited to meet, I met a really great artist and
I see him in the listeners. I'm no pressure. You don't have to come up and share right now,
especially if you're busy. I know you got stuff going on tonight. Um, but I got a chance to meet
and perform alongside Sam Hudson, who's at the bottom of the listeners there. So everybody give
him a follow. He's a great musician. I got, I had a really great time watching his set,
uh, really, really great songwriter, amazing guitarist, amazing voice. So if he does decide
to come up and play something for us, that would be awesome. If not, no worries. I know it's,
it's daunting. This Twitter spaces thing. So, um, but yeah, if, if you would like to,
the, the stage is yours in the meantime, fun do you want to play us a song?
Yeah. Yeah, sure. Sure. I'll play. Um, since we got, I got some comments about this guy.
There's this guy down there, uh, the arson dragon. Um, and I had mentioned that song arson's name
and he's like, Oh, arson is, is my name. And I was like, Oh, well, uh, you know, you better figure
out how to pick this song up then. So I figure since I'm going to be releasing it as a free claim
for people who have been collecting, uh, things, uh, figured I'd play it. And it's probably the
first day that I've been, I've been feeling good again too. So I feel like it can actually play it
well. Uh, so yeah, this song will be, uh, song will be a free claim for, uh, depending on what
you're holding, right? It's not just an open free claim. Like I think without looking at all my
sheets, uh, you at least have to, you have to have either collected, uh, one of each of the drops,
including the one that's going to come out on the 29th, uh, three brown eyes, which if you're like,
Oh, I'll just go grab three brown eyes. Like, no, good luck. Um, I think there's two that are on
secondary right now, uh, but that's about it. And then otherwise just any, any six I've got a,
I've got a collab with Rocky that'll count towards the any six for that particular one.
It's not going to count towards the any six for the final. Um, but if you've picked up Rocky's
collab and you got silhouette and you know, take my time, yeah, I think you need three more. Um,
and then you'll get this for free. And, uh, like I said, I'm going to let holders mint. Uh, I believe
three is going to be the number that I'm going to go with, but it'll be at least three. I might go
a little more than that. Um, cause I'm just going to kind of let the holders decide the supply and
decide the price for secondary, since it's not going to go to public at any point. So anyway,
Simmers down.
Reaching now.
Oh, now softly over.
now softly over.
And when a golden crowd.
where a golden crowd.
where a golden crowd.
I'm thinking,
Sinking into water, wash away the flame
Wash away the flame
We met here long ago
Shadows formed on the road
Trees burn, ashes rain, flames
They never know their arson's name
The hate you crave slowly simmers down
Embers reach and I'll hold out softly over your head
Wear a golden crown, claim to live for now
Sinking into water, wash away the flame
Wash away the flame
You caught me through a looking glass
Hiding matches in regrets
Days open to something else
All that's left here, the will of self
The hate you crave slowly simmers down
Embers reach and I'll hold out softly over your head
Wear a golden crown, claim to live for now
Sinking into water, wash away the flame
Wash away the flame
Wash away the flame
Flames, they never know their arson's name
It's that secret, it's allergy season
Allergies season, so it's coming and it's gonna be bad
That's like the bait of my existence as a musician, as like a singer, is allergies
It's the absolute worst
And there's no winning because taking allergy pills dries out your vocal cords significantly
So there's just no winning
So you just gotta stay hydrated
I might have, real quick on that note, I might have an all-natural solution
I'm not, I swear to God, I'm not trying to sell anything
So I'm not, but raw aloe vera
I started eating raw aloe vera leaf, like the real thick kind
You know that you can cut the sides off that are pokey
And then you slice a knife down the middle
And the reason I even say that is because I used to work with this supplement company
And they had something that was guaranteed to like get rid of autoimmune diseases
And fucking allergies and all that shit
But you're not allowed to say that because the FDA will crack down
But anyhow, the product was a powder, basically a powdered form of very high quality mannose
And mannose is the super sugar that's inside the aloe vera leaf gel
So if you're not allergic or anything like that, I don't think you would because it's the cure
I would just try eating raw aloe vera
It doesn't taste great, it's slimy, but it works
That's pretty cool, and you can actually, could you put aloe vera into like a smoothie or something
And get the same benefits
Believe it or not, I started brushing my teeth with it
Because it actually whitens your teeth better than toothpaste
And it took away the nerve pain in one of my chipped teeth before I could get it professionally fixed
Yeah, you can do a ton of stuff with aloe
Don't just rub it on your skin
That's cool
Good to know, the more you know
That's awesome
Cool, so this is perfect
Sam was able to figure out how to get up here
We were troubleshooting in the background
Because this is his first time in Twitter spaces
So he was on his laptop trying to get in
And then I had to tell him, you got to be on your phone if you want to be a speaker
And then on top of that, I'm going to tell him before he
Because I know he wants to play a song before we introduce you here
One of the things that I would suggest for good audio quality
If you have an iPhone, go into your settings
Like the one I should ask
Pull down on the top right of your screen
Yeah, if you have an iPhone, this is what you can do
You pull down from, for me it's the top right corner
And you'll see mic mode
And make sure your mic mode is on wide spectrum
So that way it doesn't like, try and put a gate on anything
And then if you're Android
You need to go to your settings
And then it's like sound settings
And then there's another, like all the way at the bottom
Is what Devin, which Devin left
He would have been the perfect person to explain this
There's another like sound and effect
Are you on iPhone?
Okay, perfect, you're saving me a lot of energy
Perfect, that's what I'm here for
Cool, well welcome, thanks for coming through
Yeah, so I got to spread it, I have to change it to wide microphone
Yeah, wide spectrum
Wide spectrum
Because I'm in settings, I search mic
Sorry to put everyone through this
No, you're good, no
I mean, we've all been there
So if you just pull down on the top right of your phone
You should see mic mode in the top right
And if you tap it, it should have three options for you
And wide spectrum should be one of them
I don't see it, I'm just in settings
Well, so it's really like
You know where you pull to lock your phone
If you're trying to lock your orientation
Or if you wanted to change your brightness
And you just swipe from the top right corner
I've never done that, but now, oh mic mode, standard
So now tap it and change it to wide spectrum
Okay, I did, sweet
There you go, awesome
Now you're in business
Nice and crisp and clear for us
Yeah, thanks for coming through
Feel free to introduce yourself
And tell everybody about you and your music
How you got started and all that kind of stuff
Yeah, my name's Sam Hudson
I'm from the east coast of Canada
So I'm from a very small town in New Brunswick
That no one's ever heard of
A lot of you probably haven't even heard of New Brunswick
And yeah, so I've been playing music for many years
I'm a singer-songwriter and pianist and guitarist
I met Mela the other night, as she mentioned
And her partner Dakota, it was a really good night
We did our show
And I learned a little bit about crypto spaces
I was pretty into crypto and NFTs a few years ago
And then I kind of fell off the wagon
So I'm interested in getting back into those spaces
And integrating my art with it
And see what happens
Interested in this brave new world
So the song I'm gonna do
I played the song the other day
So they've already heard it, but most of you haven't
And it's one I've been working on recently
It's brand new
And it was born out of a mushroom trip
So without further ado, I will play the song
Hopefully you can still hear me
And I didn't get cut off or something
No, we can hear you
Just so make sure you set your phone
Like about 12 inches or so
From kind of the middle of your voice and your guitar
And you'll get the best spot
Okay, sweet
Alright, thanks guys
This is called In the Stars
If you could only see what's in the stars
And if you could only know what's in my heart
And if you found the truth
The loss that I have loved
And if all you've found that all this is
Another part of us
And if I could let it be
That nothing else might happen
And if I could only see
That love was not a lesson
Cause all this is a lonely road
I know that I have only foretold
That the sun is gone and the way is cold
And if you could only live for one more day
And if I could hold the secrets that you crave
And if you knew the truth
Or who we really are
Then all this is temporary
And I'd see you in the stars
I'd see you in the stars
I'd see you in the stars
Thank you
Thanks so much
Welcome to Twitter Spaces, Sam
That was my Twitter Spaces virginity right there
Man, we've taken, have we taken two virginities tonight?
I feel like we have Wow, I'm feeling we're feeling spicy tonight. This is good
Rather good cherry pop if I do say so myself. I'm kind of new here as well man
That was I loved it. I liked how you dipped into the minor seventh with the chorus
I'm not mistaken. That was a minor seven. It was a minor. Thank you
See to see minor or be actually two and a half step down, but yeah good ear. Thank you
Yeah, it was amazing I got to hear that live guys it was beautiful I
Loved a lot of the music that he played so I'm hoping he'll come back and play more
Every Wednesday 8 30 p.m. Eastern, and I know that you know you've got stuff going on we tend to run
Until about midnight one o'clock in the morning sometimes, so it's it's awesome that you got a chance to come through
And yeah, this is Twitter spaces. There's emojis that you'll find
There's like a little heart with a plus sign you can do some emojis whenever someone's playing we try and like throw apart
It's and hundreds and stuff
And then when you click that emoji button, too
You'll see like a hand over at the the very right of that box
And that's how you like raise your hand if you were in another space and and they were doing the whole hands thing right now
We're not because we're at the end of the night
You can raise your hand with that. I'm kind of just giving you the rundown so that way you know how to use Twitter spaces
Yeah, no, it's good. I'm just kind of like poking around in here looking for emojis. Oh, yeah, I found them
Yes, there you go
Yeah, and there's like a little soundboard too. It looks like a little what would you call that fun do?
It's a magic. That's it. That's that's what it is
It's a magic wand and that's how you get to the soundboard and we did the claps and the the chicken sound and all that
We like to call each other I'll be like hold on one second. Hi, can I speak to fondue, please? I
Guess I guess
Will you hold please hold?
All right. I'm not as good. I'm not as good at it. It's Dave like Dave Dave has a whole bit ready every time the phone rings
Good old Dave. I love Dave from a long island
He's the best. I love him. Such a guy. We're all the creative creative creature. He is
Love them. Um, okay. Well
What do you want to do?
I mean you probably know what I want to do
What do you want to do I
Should all start freestyle rapping
That's not what
I know exactly what fondue wants fondue wants us all to unmute our mic and sing Wonderwall at the same time
Haven't done that in a while
The day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should
Have to hear my actual rooster in about eight hours enough with the rooster
Just um, I was just like testing out buttons that I never used and I thought I was doing it like
That's not how it works you can't yeah, you can't hit it you can't silently hit a
Sound effect. My bad. Um, yeah, I'll probably think I'm rude as a motherfucker
It wasn't that moment that made us think that I don't think not we already knew that
Yeah, it was everything leading up to that. I didn't want the act of me like not being
Purposely rude would make you think that I would and I'm actually rude, you know
You know, I want my actual rudeness to you know to tell for that not my accidental rudeness
You know what song I don't know why this reminded me of it maybe it's cuz it's a rude song but
Today my brother when we were playing Mario Party
He had a blue cheese speaker on he was playing like a bunch of old songs that I probably showed him cuz he's younger than me
So I am responsible for his music taste, of course
But anyways
He started playing what's that song? It's like shut the fuck up
You're a stupid cunt
Shut the fuck up
You're a stupid cunt. Stop my dick. Have you heard that song?
Holy forking shirt balls. That's an actual song
Yeah, and it's like it's beautiful to like it's acoustic at the beginning and yeah, it's it's great
I thought you were about to sing the blink. I was I was listening to
That fuck it all frozen remix earlier today. That's what that reminded me of it was great. Fuck it all
Fuck it all
Thought you were about to sing the song from blink 182
Which I have I have one time since living in this house that we bought
I have blasted it on a speaker outside when my neighbor's dogs wouldn't shut up in it and it's like shut the fuck up
We said you're going fucking dead. It's too loud
definitely played that on repeat for 78 minutes in my backyard because they're
Every time I walked outside the dogs would bark and they wouldn't stop and nobody would bring their dogs in and so I just put the
Speaker out there and I said, okay, fuck it
If this dog's just gonna bark non-stop, then I'm gonna play this song non-stop until someone brings the dogs in
I have a question and if they didn't bring the dogs in they wouldn't bring the men who let the dogs out
Well, they these assholes let the dogs out because they gave them their own little free doggy door
And you know what really the solution was though
Like so like yeah, they did end up bringing the dogs in I'm pretty sure the neighbors with the kids
We're not super stoked about hearing that song on repeat. Please bring the dogs in
But I will say the next time the dogs came out and barked instead of playing that song
I just sprayed him with the hose and they never were put outside again all day
You know, they're like they're they come out now and then but they're never left outside anymore
So I think I did my job you did good job fondue
Was like the nicest mean way to be right like I'm not gonna hurt the dogs I love animals
But you know if your dog is just gonna bark non-stop when I'm just sitting on my back porch
Like I'm that I'm only gonna put up with that
I'm a dog that comes over to my yard at least once a week and I never catch him
But I was zero landscaping right says Utah so you don't have grass
But you have gravel and like you have, you know cactus and what a tree maybe so the dog poops on my driveway
Then he's trying to bury the poop
So he scoops up the gravel onto the mound of poo and I come out
It looks like a big chunk of rocky road ice cream sitting in my driveway
And I gotta put the it all back where it was minus the poo. It's a pain in the butt
Oh, by the way fondue I you follow me on SoundCloud
I'm following you back and just FYI a freebie from me
I'll do it from Ella to and any of the speakers here
But I I got an upgrade subscription to Canva so I can do AI artwork and AI thumbnails like a perfect square image
So if you look at my SoundCloud a lot of my thumbnails are like really cool. Just AI generated artwork
So if you want me to throw you something
For a song that you're writing like platinum frame or I don't know kryptonite
Whatever you got on here, like let me know DM me like you can do five words
You type in the five words to Canva like pro editor and it'll AI generate
Four different images to choose from and then you could get some really cool thumbnail images for your newer songs
That way it's not like the same damn image of like you in the mountains with a guitar
Like that's not bad. But like the same one for every song
I mean doesn't really tell a story and you kind of want to tell a story right with your thumbnail. So
Yeah, I mean I have a lot of issues look to be honest
The only reason I even have anything on SoundCloud is because I had some people who listen to me play in spaces
That were very distraught that they could not go and listen to anything anywhere
So like I had no intention of like quickly uploading the way that I did like that's why there's there's recordings from spaces in there
Because I just didn't have anything else really to put there a lot of my artwork now is hand-drawn
my drop for silhouette was hand-drawn by my artist buddy in the Philippines and
The take my time artwork that'll go live on the 29th also hand-drawn. So
Yeah, I mean we'll definitely we'll chat. I'm
You know, I'm I'm one of the I'm one of like the OGs where I'm like, I've really I really like the hand-drawn stuff
And I'm it I'm not like against AI art, but I for me personally, I'm going to try to avoid it
I mean I had to use a little bit of it with the the brown eyes drop due to time constraints, but
Yeah, all in all I'd like to I like to dip into some of my contacts with the the the hand-drawn
There's some cool stuff. I've been able to do just with like
I've been using night cafe. I think that's what I'm using
Just like for like miscellaneous stuff that I don't necessarily
Always have like access to someone to work on
Like for example my I made like a visual for the projector
like backstage
So whenever shows have like the opportunity for me to put up a visual behind me backstage
then at the back of the stage, then I have something really cool that I
I was able to just take like a
Screenshot from my website because if you've been on my website you can like you'll see like the vibe
So I took a screenshot from my website uploaded it tonight cafe picked my style and then told it what to do and it made
The perfect backdrop for like behind the stage. So I did that I use AI for that kind of stuff
I don't know. I like I like I like getting creative with it
it's like a different type of creativity because it's really just like
learning how to like navigate the prompting thing and like the little like
Tricks of the trade I guess that have come up has been fun
but I also really appreciate like hand-drawn stuff like fondue was saying like
my song different breed that was
Watercolor from an artist that I met here on Twitter spaces back in the day
So yeah, I've kind of like done a combined approach. I use it for certain things other things
I'm like, you know more into like the hand-drawn stuff or like photography as well. So
There's definitely use cases for it. What's up AJ?
Yeah, you're making me wonder like is there so we have AI generated art
You can basically ask chat GPT to answer any question
Like I was playing trivia with my friends the other day and I'm like write me 20 trivia questions about the Civil War
And it did it like it makes me wonder are we gonna have like AI generated?
Music where you can be like use a C an F minor and a B flat or something like that
Oh, we definitely that's already half. That's already
Yeah, that's already happening. Yeah, and like my prediction is we are going to see AI generated music charting
Like there's because the thing with me
Yeah, we're gonna see it charting. Okay, so you could just you I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, but like you could just
Rank like you could be top 40 and all as the artist
But you might not even really be an artist
You just said make me these chords and then you drag and drop on like garage band or logic or something
Well, well the look so being able to make the music part is one thing
I will say like there was a video that went around of an AI created person who was singing an AI generated song and
It all it kind of made me think that we're safe for a little while, you know, I because it really wasn't good
I think like genre wise we have to think about like the fact that there's so many genres of music, right?
So like the singer-songwriter type type stuff
I don't really see AI being I don't see it as a threat at all
Like I'm not scared of AI taking my job
because you can't really um
Like that video just kind of proved like it's just part of the reason why singer-songwriter like live performance
Someone standing there with their acoustic guitar or in spaces sitting there with their acoustic guitar playing for us
Like nothing really like matches that energy and if AI gets that good, which it could it definitely could i've
Spoke with some people that have taken a peek into the next
generation of
chat GPT and
Like it's it's it's actually kind of scary
It could get that good. I'm not gonna say that it it's impossible, but
At least for now i'm not afraid of
That at all. I think
In other genres. This is why I say I think like AI music is going to end up charting because it's already
So prevalent on spotify and people haven't even known it
So like for example, I know of a company
I don't even know if I should call them a company
Uh, they just make a shit ton of money doing this and it's a group of people that sit behind computers and they generate
lo-fi music all day
All day, that's all they're doing is just AI generating lo-fi and then they create
hundreds if not thousands of different artist profiles
and like and they distribute that music on spotify apple music wherever and
Because there's like
Lo-fi is actually one of the most streamed genres of music in general. Um, it's like coffee shops
Like you know just very um easy listening
genre, so it's one of the most streamed genres
Yeah, like you can just it's so easy
Like it's so easy to make lo-fi music with AI because the the thing with lo-fi is it's supposed to sound like almost like eight
Bit like low quality just like simple very very minimalistic. Um production
So yeah, there are people that are making bags and and it's i'm not saying it's a good thing
Like it's actually a bad thing because that's part of the reason I i've talked about this over and over again part of the reason
why streaming platforms can't
really pay us, uh
More than what they pay us for our streams is because of AI and because of bots, right?
Unless we eradicate bots like bot farms, which is actually becoming even more difficult because of AI there's AI
Generally, like you don't really need to do much to run a bot farm anymore because of AI
it's like
Just imagine like you could go on make a thousand AI generated lo-fi beats in a day
Upload it to spotify and generate a shit ton of streams and then
Spotify what they're gonna pay you a dollar per stream. No, that's not gonna happen
I don't know. That's just my take on it. I i'm sure
There's a lot more to it
Mella they can replicate us but they can't duplicate us
Especially you your sound is just so unique
You got nothing to worry about girl
Ah, thank you. Yeah, i'm not afraid of it. I I
embrace technology and it's
Advancements I do my own thing
No matter what happens i'm still gonna continue doing my thing. I'm not gonna shift or change up because
I think people are actually, where did I read this?
There was like an article I read recently
about how people are kind of shifting away
from wanting to listen to overproduced digital stuff,
like the like authentic raw stuff, right?
So I don't know, I don't know if AI music
will be able to match that authenticity.
It's like if you hear an artist voice cracking, right?
But they carry on and like, you totally forgive it
because you're so into the song.
Like even like Lenny Kravitz, I'm just reminding myself,
his opening line of his debut album, his voice cracks
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Nessie, I feel like you have something to say on this,
Not gonna lie, I accidentally came off a mic.
I wasn't trying to interrupt in any way, shape or form.
I just came in the room and I was trying to like
get a feel of what y'all were even talking about.
I just knew it was Pimp Radio, so I had to come in.
Yeah, man, feel free to play with your music.
I saw your mic on mute, so that's why I thought
you were trying to chime in and I didn't want to be
disrespectful and talk over you,
so I just wanted to check in.
This is the extended hours of Pimp Radio.
See, like just for everybody's edification,
Pimp Radio should have been closed approximately 50, 60.
Yeah, I was about to say y'all open late night tonight
for show, because like it's 1 a.m. over here.
You guys are still open.
Mella B's not like, I'm sure she's usually in the couch
by now, like I'm very surprised she is still awake
and functioning, like she talked to me before five.
It's two edibles deep, I want you awake.
Last call everyone, last call, get your gin and tonic,
get your drinks, last call, you don't have to go home,
but you can't stay here.
Speaking of, I did get a message in the background
from Rocky because it is 1 a.m. where he is
and he would love for me to share a song before he goes.
So if we could just do that.
Rocky, you ain't going nowhere.
Listen to me right now.
All right, buddy.
You're not leaving.
The hell I am, Nessie.
If you walk out of this space before I play this song,
we are gonna have physical problems.
You're not leaving this space.
You ain't even text me back the other day, God damn it.
I ain't heard from you in two days, Nessie.
Bro, I've been to IRL, bro.
Listen, I've been living with Be Nice, all right?
I've been living with Papa Don, all right?
If you don't know, you need to know, all right?
And I'm gonna just leave it at that.
Sometimes you gotta get out of web three, motherfucking.
You just gotta live your motherfucking life.
I went to God damn Universal Studios today.
I am not going to be motherfucking feel bad about that,
motherfucking, you know what I'm saying?
Like we work hard at it, so we deserve to live,
you feel what I'm saying?
If you don't know, now you know.
Yeah, Rocky, it is what it is.
Don't talk to me.
Listen, if you're gonna play what I think you're gonna play,
I'll stick around just for that,
but I will probably be silent on the mic and stuff.
But yeah.
You always silent on the mic anyway, man.
Over there making that bacon, egg, and cheese with Kitch.
What are you talking about?
He's always on.
He's never silent.
Like this is the thing about Rocky.
He doesn't stop talking.
I was trying to make him feel good, fine dude.
Come on, man.
No, I ain't here to make him feel good.
I'm here to bring him down.
There's enough people making him feel good.
That's bullshit.
I hate it what it is.
It is what it is.
Speaking of it is what it is.
I'm gonna spin this track for Rocky,
and then Nessa, you can go.
I know Jim's up here too.
We really went off the rails, Melik,
because you said we were gonna run this space for 24 hours,
so here we are.
This is what happens when we don't close on time.
Rocky, is there anything you'd like to plug
before I play this song,
which I'm not gonna tell you that I'm gonna play?
Absolutely.
I'm gonna pin him up to the jumbotron in just a second,
but I do have, don't talk to me,
the Fondoodle remix, which is still minting right now
on Fond Sound XYZ page.
We got 16 left, 16 out of 50 limited editions left.
Once that is minted out,
I will be making a major announcement.
It is tied in with the golden egg as well,
so whoever gets that golden egg,
it's like a golden motherfucking ticket.
That's all I'm gonna tell you.
You know, sleep if you want to.
I mean, listen, I'd be telling y'all stuff.
You don't wanna listen, and then after this shit happens,
y'all be mad at me when you find out
the things that I'm doing.
So, you know, it is what it is.
You don't like it, don't talk to me.
But I'm gonna pin that up to the jumbotron.
Let's get that thing sold out.
And Fondoodle also has some utility attached
to that song as well with his different collections.
So, you know, you tap in for Fond for that.
Also, this past Valentine's Day,
I did drop Freak, which is a free mint.
It is minting for another, I think, like 22
or something days, something like that.
It is free.
That means no money except for like a little bit of gas,
which is like a dollar or something like that.
So, I'll pin that up to the top as well.
And yeah, Fond is gonna play a song.
The Sounds of Silence.
Yeah, anyway, enjoy this track from Rocky
to Grimy's Younger Years, because it's one of my favorites.
I'm not hearing anything.
I know, I know.
No, I know.
No, I was gonna play.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I'm not hearing anything.
I know, I know.
Second row.
I was gonna play.
I'm gonna play.
And I think that I'm about to go psycho.
Without me, this is for real.
This doesn't make it like me.
But it's once in the eye.
Man, I think I'm dying.
I don't wanna be here just anymore.
I don't wanna stand a reason why.
And the reason why
Every time I pick my clothes
To the store
They always pass the wrong god damn price
I don't want this bullshit anymore
It can be yours
Cause it's not mine
I will only be me
Cocoa Pebbles
I got some cocoa please
Cocoa was not the same
I tried to get mad
But when this shit is whacking
My time was just a cheap boy
When this shit is wrong
I'm still a grown boy
I try to take care of my hand
And make it on my own
Lips that I don't know
They get my fucking cereal
Can I think that I'm bound to go psycho
When I'm me and it's both male
Cause the nigga like me
And only it's one failure
Man I think I'm dying
I don't wanna eat this anymore
I don't understand the reason why
Every time I pick my clothes
To the store
They always pass the wrong god damn price
I don't want this bullshit anymore
It can be yours
Cause it's not mine
I will only be me
Cocoa Pebbles
I hate this shit
Don't take that out of the garbage
And put that up in my bowl
I don't think so
Cause I don't wanna eat it anymore
I don't wanna eat this anymore
I don't understand the reason why
Every time I pick my clothes
To the store
They always pass the wrong god damn price
I don't want this bullshit anymore
It can be yours
Cause it's not mine
I don't want this bullshit anymore
It can be yours
Cause it's not mine
I will only be
Cocoa Pebbles
Cocoa Pebbles
Cocoa Pebbles
Shout out to Fruity Pebbles
I gotta say Fruity Pebbles
I think Fruity Pebbles are better than Cocoa Pebbles
Listen, between you and Crypto casually
Y'all are gonna force my hand
With this damn song
The amount of press this song
Has been getting since
I let casually hear it
And now you
Play it every chance that y'all get
But you know, I'm gonna put y'all on a secret
And I'm not sure if y'all knew that this was a thing that was possible to do
But I just found this out recently
I was on the phone with my good sister, Miss Robin Charles
And she told me about this app or device that she uses
That can actually pull vocals off of a track
Like a pre-recorded track
So you can separate the vocals from that track
And part of the reason why I'm not doing anything with Cocoa Pebbles
Is because that is a Rihanna song
That is a beat that I wrote to Rihanna's Unfaithful
So obviously I can't do anything original with that
Even though those are my words
So the only way I can do anything with it
Is if I had an original beat or something
Damn, we're living in the future
You can pull vocal audio out of an already mixed track
You're joking, right?
You know, I'm just finding this shit out
Literally
You can pull literally anything
I did not know that this was a thing that you can do
But now that I know this
Because, you know, the thing about Cocoa Pebbles
I recorded that when I was 16
And I feel like it just wouldn't
I couldn't do the same thing like recording that now
As a 32-year-old singing about it
But, you know, the authenticity of the 16-year-old me singing that song
Like I would love to put it back out
So now that I know that this technology exists
That might be a future drop
There's some alpha for your ass on Pimp Radio
I love it
Thank you for all the time
We've really...
Oh man, thank you
Rocky says that, you know, he's gonna force the hand
But, like, it feels like we have forced the hand
You know, I want to shout out casually
I'm gonna keep playing this in the space
Until you get a new version of it
And it's just gonna be what it is
Yeah, what's up, Ness?
All right, so I need context right now
I'm sorry if I sound however I sound right now
It's been a long day
Rocky, when did you record that?
I recorded that
I was 16 years old
The year was 2008
Now that you gave me that context
It is very refreshing to hear you play that track, bro
To be honest
I was very shocked
I was sitting here with T-Banks, bro
And I was just like, wait a minute
Is Rocky singing?
Rocky singing melodies?
And this is not in a clowning factor
But it was just like, bro, you Rocky to remind me
You the barbars
You know what I'm saying?
So to hear that and be able to hear the growth
Is pretty fucking dope, bro
So definitely, definitely, definitely
You know what I'm saying?
I might have to get you in a couple of bags
This year, boy
Because, you know what I'm saying?
Clearly, I think the history is there
So definitely, definitely, man
Keep the growth up
I'll say this, man
Because I'm surprised you haven't heard that one yet
Because, you know, it's been in the spaces for a while
But it's possible you have missed it
I do the singing thing
It's not a
That's not something that's like new that I don't do
I do the singing thing pretty often
I don't consider myself a singer
But it's mainly to show off the songwriting ability
So that's why I do it
So when I do it, I don't expect to have the best vocals
I just want people to appreciate the songwriting that I do
That was why I wrote that song
It was mainly
That was probably the third R&B song that I had ever written
And it was really just at the time
I used to remake other people's songs
To kind of teach myself how to write in that style of music
So that's why my pen is the way it is today
But that being said, you know
I can do all the melodies and all that shit
It's just better if other people sing them
At least he says it like it is
No, I'm just
I gotta fuck with Rocky
It's late
It's later
This is late for me
I'm not used to this
Anyway, let's go
Let's say hi to Jim
And then Nessie, if you want to cue up your track
I don't know where Mel is
Did she fall asleep?
Well, so what I figured is we'd bring up Jim
Cue up Nessie's track
And then we'll probably wind down
Because your girl's getting tired
I like that plan
Jim, how's it going, man?
Welcome to Pimp Radio
I'm a pimp
What's up, pimp?
I've been talking in a while, fine
It's good to see you doing some cool stuff here
You know, with Mel B, I'm Pimp Radio
It's good stuff
I've been here a couple of times
I retweet it a lot
And I like the stuff that you guys are doing
And finally I've been talking in a while
Just wanted to come by and say hi
Good shit, that's all
I'm just kicking back, relaxing
And just wanted to say hello
Good stuff, appreciate you guys
And great space call, guys
Keep it going
Thanks, Jim
Yeah, we appreciate you
Yeah, definitely
You know, I've hopped into some of the ape spaces
Over the last couple weeks
But definitely, you know, definitely been all over the place
It's tough to be everywhere
I also am
I don't know if you saw
I'm also running a space on Tuesday nights now as well
So if you ever want to hop in and shoot the shit
And hang out, you're more than welcome
But yeah, we're, you know, Pimp Radio
Where everybody plugs their music
And it's been a great night of music
I was looking at the list
I think we did like
I think we did like 30 performances
Slash shares today
So really, really great, great evening
But yeah, let's hand it to Nessie
And hear what he's got
And let's wind this baby down
I see Honey Badger out in the audience
Shout out to Honey Badger
And yeah, we're going to wind this down
And get out of here
It's already after 1 a.m. on the East Coast
So we've run it out
Go ahead, Ness
Floor is yours, man
So I just wanted to get in the queue to play a song
You are the queue
So you're in
Oh, my God
So here's a song that T-Banks and I started
Have not even finished
Just want to give you the world premiere
On Pimp Radio
You know what I'm saying
It's produced by T-Banks
It is called No Games
And it actually has T-Banks on the hook
You know what I'm saying
It is not me on the hook
It is T-Banks on the hook
So I'm very excited for it
Like I said, it's not Mixture Master
But we're just trying to get a feel for the crowd
Let me know if y'all like it
With the hearts and emojis
You know what I'm saying
The claps, the loves
If I see the crying faces clearly
That means you're not fucking with it
And that's okay
Because it's Pimp Radio
And this is what we come here for
You know what I'm saying
I want to know what y'all think
Because if it's whack
I'm not about to drop it
Yeah, okay
There we go
There we go
Retreat the room
Ain't no jokers in play
No, I don't want to play
So don't bring me no games
This thing we do is straight
Ain't no jokers in play
I don't like the games
I'm trying to pop it
Baby pop, lock and drop it
Call me Huey chilling on some boondocks shit
Know it ain't your birthday
But this is celebration
Make you come for life
How you worried about them hatin'
Feel deposits coming
But I hate the steady waitin'
Nessie be the realer
And the deeper dedication
Bringing in the money
Just to keep it in rotation
Got it Kelly Rollin'
She gon' be my motivation
Baby wanna cater to me
Tell me this is my
Just a boy from the back streets
I want it my way
I'm working mad to get the bag
Life is in lacks
Why wait?
So shawty let that thing slide
Life ain't safe
Don't wanna play
So don't bring me no games
This thing we do is straight
Ain't no jokers in play
No I don't wanna play
So don't bring me no games
This thing we do is straight
Ain't no jokers in play
Yeah, so a little something
It ain't mix, it ain't master
Just wanted to share with y'all
On Pimp Radio
And let me know
That wasn't even bad
Sorry to interrupt you
That wasn't even bad
For not mixin' mastered yet
I like this very mellow vibe
And some lo-fi
And it was good
I was diggin' it
Eh, fine, mellow be
Good talkin' to you both again
I'm gonna dip
Good little show
Pimp Radio, check him out
We definitely gonna push that
Fine, goodnight, man
Much respect, mellow be
And everybody else
I'm gonna call it good stuff
Goodnight, guys
Goodnight, Jim
Nessie, I love it
That was a, that was a vibe
It's like the perfect thing I needed
Before I wind down for the evening
I, I like it
Keep, keep goin'
Yeah, that was, that was dope, man
T-Banks, like, keeps
Surprising me, man
Like, I don't know why I'd be surprised
Um, cause I, I know how talented he is
But he, uh, he keeps surprising me
So, like, that's a good thing
Um, that was dope-ass record
Definitely not what I expected y'all to do together
But, um, you know, the beat was fire
Um, him on the hook was just, like, perfect
And then you comin' in with the bars
Was, you know, you do what you do with that
Um, perfect collaboration
Appreciate it, family
Appreciate it, for sure
Yeah, like I said, it ain't finished yet
So, it's gonna sound a whole lot better when I play it again
But, you know, we in the lab
And I was like, yo, let's just share something with them raw
You know what I'm sayin'?
Cause this is Pimp Radio
You gots to keep it raw, you know what I'm sayin'?
So, shoutout to Mela B, shoutout to Fondue
Shoutout to Rocky, shoutout to everybody on stage
That is sharing music as well as supporting the listeners
You know what I'm sayin'?
Because we depend on y'all
We appreciate y'all
So, definitely appreciate y'all
But I'm about to drop down
Cause I know I've been talkin' my ass off
We about to get back in the lab
But I appreciate y'all
I love y'all
Damn, Danger
Why you throwin' all the fuckin' emojis, man?
What's goin' on, Danger?
You throwin' crazy laughin' emojis at me, man
Am I that funny?
Do I need to start a sitcom?
You crack my ass up, man
Nevermind
Y'all, you're talkin'
All your talkin' makes me laugh
And your music makes me wanna dance
So, that's what it is, man
I'm feelin' you
Dude, your music is...
That was a vibe
That was a vibe, bro
It's makin' my brain, like
Go fireworks right now with lyrics
Like, I got a drink on my hand
A girl in my arm
My cell phone's ringin' like a fire alarm
Yo, what up, Nezy?
Where you at, man?
Let's go have a chat space, sounds like a plan
Like, fuck, I'm ready to write, dude
I love it
I love it
Like, this space is so inspiring
It's so fun
It's so fun
It is that
It is inspiring
It is awesome
You guys all help make it what it is
So, we appreciate you coming through
And hangin'
And, Nezy, as always
Nothin' but love, man
Glad to see you guys collabin'
And, I guess I didn't realize
I did see that you said you were at Universal
I didn't really put two and two together
Bro, listen to me right now
Okay, listen, alright
I'm manifestin' this on a recorded space
We are all gonna go to Universal Studios, okay
And we are gonna ride
That fuckin' Harry Potter ride together
Cuz, let me tell you something
Whatever they told you
You know what I'm sayin'?
All the, like
Oh, yeah, it's dope, it's dope
It's a lie, okay?
Because you cannot fathom
The power of that ride
Listen to me
The way that this ride takes you up, down, and all around
Pause, like
This ride is the ride of all rides
You know what I'm sayin'?
So, definitely shoutout to Be Nice
And shoutout to Universal Studios
And shoutout to Harry Potter
And, yeah, it was
It was just fuckin' amazing, bro
Like, sometimes
Y'all don't understand, like
When you work hard
Sometimes you lose focus of why you work so hard
You know what I'm sayin'?
And you don't really grasp the point of
You have to live in that moment
You have to live in certain moments
You have to be able to relax
You have to be able to let go
And you have to be able to just be a kid again
And just fuckin' just enjoy life as it is
You know what I'm sayin'?
And, yes, I know I was goin' through these rides
And it's fake as shit, you know what I'm sayin'?
It's just a whole bunch of screens and ups
And it's okay
But at the same time, it took me out of my element
For that moment
And that kind of rekindled some stuff in terms of music
Because that's what I'm tryin' to do with my music
I'm tryin' to take y'all out of your elements
And out of your current situations
And take you into a certain fantasy type of place
With my music, you know what I'm sayin'?
So, it was just kind of just
Re-vigorating, in a sense, you know what I'm sayin'?
So, make sure that you guys
I know we workin' hard out here
I know we tryin' to take care of our families
I know we doin' this, that, and the other
But you gotta make sure that you are takin' time for yourself
And you're just takin' a moment to enjoy life
It's okay to treat yourself, you know what I'm sayin'?
It's okay to just splurge for a minute
And just take the time to be able to just fuckin' enjoy yourself
I know it might cost a little bit of money
But it's the memories that will last you a lifetime
And the feeling and the re-vigoration that it'll give you
I'm tellin' you
Take that time for yourself
Damn, this philosophy is fresh
Hey, man, shoutout to Be Nice, bro
All I can say is shoutout to Be Nice
For real, for real
They're doin' beautiful things out here
They brought me down, you know what I'm sayin'?
Shoutout to Carter
See Money, you know what I'm sayin'?
He brought me down
And we were talkin' beautiful things
We've been buildin' since Monday
Trust me, it has not been playin'
It's been all work
We've been in here recordin'
We've been buildin'
Talkin' ideas
They got a marketplace comin'
That's gonna be super, super, super efficient for musicians
You know what I'm sayin'?
So I'm just very excited to be a part of it
And then he surprised me with this today
So it was just like, yo, it could've been better
And it couldn't come at a better time
Because, you know, we just
As artists, we go through a lot of things
And as creators, we go through a lot of things
So to be able to have a moment where
I could just not think about anything
And just enjoy life and actually be on a rollercoaster
And just, you know what I'm sayin'?
Like, I said it was priceless
So definitely take the time out for yourselves
Whether it's a rollercoaster, painting,
Taking walks in the park, long strolls on the beach
Kickin' cooking bacon eggs and cheese with ketchup
You know what I'm sayin'?
You just do what you do to make yourself happy
Listen, hold on, look, look
We're not gonna do this shit
That's what's up, blood
That's what's up, blood, thank you
We're not gonna do this shit, Nessie
And fine doodle, okay
This is not Kong radio
This is Pimp radio
This is Pimp radio
I'm a motherfuckin' pimp
That ain't no pimpin' shit
See, do you see what Nessie did?
Nessie riled you up and then he jumped off
That wasn't Pimpin', okay?
This is Pimp radio
I'm gonna mute my mic, goddamnit
I mean, I'm about to mute your mic
It looks like Mela brought Wen up
Wen, welcome back
Yeah, that's all
I mean, the stage is yours
Because we're shutting her down
I was listening to you guys talk
And you were talking about your music development
Your career development and stuff like that
And I was reminiscent back to the early spaces
That we used to have with getting to know the tech
And when NFTs were just starting to become a thing
And everyone was just learning about it
And we were just, like, sharing different things that we found
And learning all about it
And everything that we, like, interacting with everything
To get to know what it does
Like, I know in the music NFT ecosystem
A lot of the tech, like, maybe you're not
Messing with the tech a lot
But you should
Even if it's not that great and it's not working that good right now
Everything that we're in is beta
And getting to know the technology
Interacting with the technology
Has unforeseen benefits
Like, you become a member of X platform
Like, get your stuff minted on this
Get your stuff minted on that
Like, whatever
Wherever there's an opportunity
And it's not necessarily even about
Getting your music out there
It's interacting with the technology
And getting to know the tech
Because we're coming into airdrop season
And last bull run
There was that, like, all these different platforms
Where right now you're minting in Ethereum
You're minting in Polygon
Soon you're going to be minting in their own native token
And receiving their own native token
You know how they're going to launch that token?
By distributing it to their early adopters
I've been getting $600
But tons of airdrops
All year long
Since the beginning of the year
Since Christmas
It started
And it's just going to keep going
Leading into the bull run
The drops are going to 10x
Like, the Uniswap drop
And the ENS drop from last year
What's happening right now pales in comparison
And the numbers are going to be even higher this cycle
As an artist, you want to be minting on everything
As a consumer, you want to be interacting with all of these different artists
And the opportunity, the different techs and platforms
That they're giving you a chance to interact with the tech on
Even if you're just a user
Because it will have unforeseen benefits
All of a sudden tokens are going to start showing up in your wallet
Follow these platforms on Twitter
And cash in on being an early adopter
When they're ready to pay you for it
Yeah, man
That reminds me
I need to hop on a call with you and figure out my ENS situation
Oh, yeah, I just forgot
That's right
That's right
Yeah, because I got a nice airdrop from ENS
And I held it all the way to
What was it at at its peak last year?
The standard drop
If you just minted one ENS for a year
It was a $2,000 drop
And then I held it all the way to what?
Like zero, basically
It flattened out at $8,200
I got out of $200
I genuinely believed that it was going to go back up with everything else
And it looks like that's what's happening
And then I go into my wallet and I'm like, where is my ENS?
Like, I literally have no idea
Because I know for a fact it was one of my
I know which wallet it was
So I'm very confused
And I need to locate that ENS
Because that was a nice chunk of tokens
So I'll figure it out
I'll figure it out
I've actually gotten pretty good
Like, especially through Solana
And just porting that over back to Ethereum
Of like tracking transactions and wallets on the blockchain
Yeah, it's weird
Anyways, so we're going to close out
Phon, do you want to sing a song or are you too tired?
I mean, no, I'm not
I mean, I'm tired, but I'm not that tired, I guess
What, anything in particular you want to hear?
Silhouette
Yeah, Silhouette
Oh, who said that besides Mela?
Alright, let's go
Oh, that's not the song that I kicked your ass with
In the competition
Do you want to hear that one?
Because that's a different song
Oh, it was, that's right, yes
Alright, that's a different one
I know it's
It's so funny because this song started out as a faster song
And ever since I've slowed it down
It's become a little bit of a favorite
So, yeah, this is, God, this is a song about the artist's struggle
And trying to, trying to make something of ourselves
That we can live off of and actually enjoy
This is called Lakeside Letter
Been here before
A type of porch swing
Sipping coffee in the sun while I daydream
Couple hazy thoughts that could take me down
Through the other side
You can write melodic phrasing
All around the room
Twist it up and leave it blazing
Is that your mind free? It feels amazing
Nothing conveys me
Just a memory you convey, then
You can write me a letter by the lakeside
Sided sincerely
So, I can hear you clearly
Roll it up inside a bottle
Quitting like full throttle
Read it soon, I promise
When I'm last sick and tired
I've been here before
Been here before
A type of porch swing
Sipping coffee on my way to the basement
Placed to store the letters through the years
They've been raining
If I'd grown underweighting
Or my faith in
Sunset's fading
By the bills, thousand telephone calls
Kind of good at storytelling
But it doesn't pay it all well
You can write me a letter by the lakeside
Sided sincerely
So, I can hear you clearly
Roll it up inside a bottle
Quitting like full throttle
Read it soon, I promise
When I'm last sick and tired
When I'm last sick and tired
You can write me a letter by the lakeside
Sided sincerely
So, I can hear you clearly
No catchy phrases
Painting dreamy constellations
Some days I can feel the weight
Some others feel like I made it to say
That I'm feeling jaded
No smilering, understatement
But I keep taking the bait
Like my life is always at stake
The time it rolls on
It'll take its stories
Through old letters
Think I saw my soul well
You can write me a letter by the lakeside
Sided sincerely
So, I can hear you clearly
Roll it up inside a bottle
Quitting like full throttle
Read it soon, I promise
When I'm last sick and tired
When I'm last sick and tired
Beautiful. I love that song so much.
Is that live? That wasn't live, right?
That wasn't live as you can get, man. That's fun. Doo-doo. Come on.
That sounded good. Very good.
It's very rare that I press play on tracks.
Usually it's when I'm sick.
Usually if I'm sick, then I'm pressing play, but that's about it.
That's awesome.
So good, dude. So good.
So fucking good, as always.
But I really do love that song. It's a solid one.
I was harmonizing in the background.
You couldn't hear me because I'm not rude.
Fondue had a request earlier, so I'm going to play said request.
It's called...
I don't know what it's called anymore. I really don't.
You know what's funny? I didn't request this song earlier.
Oh, you didn't? You requested Dance and Cry, didn't you?
Is that Boiler Room?
As soon as she started to say, I don't know what this song is called,
I was like, oh, she's talking about Boiler Room.
I requested that like days ago.
You can play that one, too, if you want, though. Either way.
Sure. Yeah, I'll do Dance and Cry. No, I'll do Boiler Room.
Because I'm like, I'm sleepy as fuck right now.
And I have a feeling this one's just more... I don't know.
It's kind of a vibe when I'm sleepy.
You don't know me like you want to.
And I'm sorry, but I don't think you ever will.
No, you don't know the foul truth.
And it's funny that you seem to think you do.
Because I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
And it's not you.
You don't need me like you say you do.
Trust me, baby, I can be the one to pull you through.
You just tease me and you make me feel so small.
So why should I put you on a pedestal?
Because I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
And it's not you. No, it's not you, no.
I got one thing on my mind.
I've got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
And it's not you.
I guess I'm just bad at writing love songs.
In fact, I don't think that I've ever really won at all.
Because just when I feel like it's my time to fall.
You come around and prove that I was better on my own.
Because I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
And it's not you. No, it's not you, no.
I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
I got one thing on my mind.
And it's not you.
I got one thing on my mind.
Mella, Mella.
You know, I don't think I've ever asked you this.
So I'm going to just take this opportunity while I'm still awake to do this.
Because I told myself I was not going to be here a while ago.
You've got one thing on your mind.
And it isn't them, right?
What is that one thing? What's the thing?
What is it?
I don't know why I'm waiting so long to ask you this.
But I was so focused on the fact that it wasn't me or him or anybody else.
But I really would like to know what's on your mind, Mella.
See, you'll never know.
That's the song. The point is the mystery.
So it's kind of like Jay-Z's 99 Problems.
We know that a bitch ain't one of them.
But we have no idea what these 99 Problems are.
Okay, cool. I respect it. I fuck with it.
I think it's more like semi-sonic's closing time.
He knows who he wants to take him home.
But you never get to know that.
It's like it's his little thing.
And he just expresses it in a song.
You know?
I got to learn that for next week.
And I can close out the space next week.
I mean, I could do a really rough version right now, I guess.
I love that song so much. I forgot that song.
It's underrated. Those guys did not do as well as I wish they did.
I know who I want to take me home.
Love it. Love it, love it, love it, love it, love it.
Guys, it's been a good night. It's been a long night.
Your girl's got to go get some sleep.
I have a full day of practicing tomorrow.
Because I have a three hour gig on Friday.
And Dakota and I are playing that three hour gig together.
So that means that it's even more difficult to get our shit together.
It's harder to get shit together when there's more people involved.
And it's a paid gig too, right?
And you've upped the ante, right?
Yeah, yeah.
So, yeah, it should be good.
It's at Main Street Station in Orangeville, Ontario.
So if anybody's local, feel free to come out.
You never know who's listening.
And then Wednesday, like I said on Wednesday,
I am currently trying to sell some tickets for my show at Rivoli in Toronto.
So, yeah.
We do get a fair bit of people that come through and listen to the space later on.
So I always like to talk about these things,
even though I know most of the people in here are not local.
What else do I need to say?
I'm way too tired to think.
I think that's it.
Join the Discord, and if I forget anything,
I always update people on what's going on in there.
But until next time on PYMP, plug your music, please.
Because I'm a pimp!
I'm a pimp!
I am one of the pims.
I'm a baby.
I'm a baby.
I'm a child.
I'm a baby.
