Thank you. Thank you. Afternoon everybody, I'm Adam Simmons, I'm the Chief Strategy Officer at Radex and we
are kicking off this week's Radex Recap.
Just me for the moment, so sorry for running a little bit late.
Dan and myself were at Foundation Strategy Meetup for the last two days.
It's been pretty hectic and fairly eventful in the community.
So we were still in the sky. So we were still in the sky.
And I believe Dan is still on his way back to his normal office.
So hopefully he will be joining us in the very, very near future.
But to save everyone waiting longer, I'm waiting longer.
Kicking off, we can get into
it sooner rather than later. So first pick up, we'll do this in a little bit of a different order
to normal for everyone, for everyone, just so that we can join in and we can get into some stuff that
was going through over the last week. But first up, of course, things already known by people is that the in-wallet DAP went live.
So as of actually last week, we got the DAP trajectory into the wallet, which was, of course, a massive win for the community, for all the ecosystem DAPs to get featured in there.
It was a much requested feature from the entire community and also Interstellar and the rest of the team
were very keen to get this in place. So that has now gone live. So you can search for dApps by name,
filter them by category. And really it just helps discovery. Someone who, really it just helps
discovery. Someone who the Radix wallet maybe don't know much beyond what Radix is. They now
have a really quick user journey to finding dApps in the ecosystem,
to trade, to get into NFTs, to utilize lend-borrow markets, and so much more right from their phone.
So this is, of course, the one of it. So one of the big things Dan has changed since
really we've gone through the restructure is that we're doing a lot more things iteratively.
So making sure that we're getting things back, going with MVPs up as quickly as possible so that we can then iterate on those,
improve them, add new features as needed, and not really delay things so long that we
are able to get anything out until it's perfect. So expect to see more updates to that directory
over time. there's more things
for it as well so any news for everyone tuning into the space the big thing of course is that
we've got next the radix means being integrated directly and directly into the wallet and again
being done on a kind of mvp basis initially so that should be coming out early next week it's
all going to the app stores for review already week. It's all going to the App
Stores review already. But that's basically going to mean you've got a Radix domain, so like adam.xrd
or something. You'll be able to put that in to send tokens to a Radix domain address, an RSS
address, but needing the full account details for whoever you're sending it to there's going to be some more
things added to that as well so so we won't stop there with this information we're going to be
making sure that we also get in some more intuitive things as well and how you can result
within the wallet and I'd like to give a massive shout out to all of the xrd domains team for being
really helpful in getting that information in place as well as working on the stuff that we can do to iterate on
that as we go.
So integration, the wallet team is already working on some other nice to have features
straight off the back of that as well.
One of the big ones, of course, being that we're looking at getting some information
into the wallet.
So especially like socials, community links, stuff in there there learning about radix again to aid that user journey as we get more we get more
and more people coming in download wallet entering the ecosystem not only do they need to be directed
to apps but also need to be directed to one of the best attributes of radix which of course is the
entire entire community that we really want to get in there as well as kind of latest blog posts and
more learn information like radix invested in radix being really the best solution for
so that is going to be coming up in wallet update next one being the update next one being the
update for rns coming in and from, we'll keep shipping, getting iterative designs coming through so we can
keep this out into the wild as quickly as possible.
On the PR side, we've got a few big things coming up as well.
So I was on a podcast last week, actually.
Got a podcast on there.
We were talking about really why defy foundation need radix and
really it was a great opportunity to get radical content out on some of the big reasons like why
are one not ready for method option yet outside of radix why amazingly defy still has a massive
ux problem if i still has a massive UX problem. So some of the lesser commented features
of Radix are things like developer royalties
and really the fundamentals of like
the asset oriented nature of Radix
plus we spoke a little bit about
growth incentives, obviously
the billion XRD
airdrop campaign running
and so that was
all really solid.
But a big one next week, dan is literally barely gonna have his
feet on the ground before jumping on another plate off to proof of talk in paris so for those of you
don't know proof of talk on the crypto calendar but they have got an absolute star-studded lineup
of guests attending and dan is going to be on one of the panels that he's going to be actually hoping to be actually hosting the panel called building a blockchain for developers and it is a great panel
it's going to be down there moderating along with christian thompson who's the ceo of the ceo of
the three founding mum of course from helios anyone who's on criptor twitter will have seen
murk and martin who is the co-founder of Zirka so so that'll be kicking
off that's going to be on the 11th Dan's going to be there and I know that a couple of ecosystem
projects are going to be there the Radix Community Council is going to be there RBR firm is going to
have some boots on the ground as well to drum up some more interview opportunities it really is a
of the crypto world flying into Paris next week so it's going to be a great network for DAM.
Great way to get RADIC connections and build on some of the successes that we've got lined up from all of the things we've been doing with Consensys and this week's strategy and
things there.
We've also got a bunch of cool things going on.
So RADIC's WITN are doing another one of their data and data tracks.
So it's a hack for people to get started with Radix.
And that's doing it at University or University or other London.
That's going to be the end of June.
So I can see some more details on that.
And again, fantastic work for Radix and all of the other ecosystem
to help them run these DAP in a day.
They've had a fantastic response from big London universities
and really helped get that next wave of potential scripts. run these dap in a day that had a fantastic response from big london universities that
really helped get that next wave of potential skeptics and experiencing why we all have this
revelation on grants as well so we've been pushing hard on that and a lot more information
has been cut and a lot more information has been purposed on our backlog there so we've had
announcements in the last two weeks of grants going out for Raccoon.fun,
the MemeCoin launchpad for DeFi Plaza,
and of course the algorithm,
the champions liquidity providers.
We've had grants for Oasis,
which is made by Quantum Street.
And that is basically a native Solana bridge
that they've got live on StokeNet,
their MVP grant,
Panic Sharts and their tooling grant. so i'm sure everyone who's tuning in here will be familiar be familiar with
radix charts i use multiple times a week at minimum thanks to the great information they've
got up on there and also we announced a launch booster for nft wars they've got a fact got a
thousand players already in the game absolutely smashing it with their hero base rpg so congratulations
for all of those we've got more lined up to announce all these brands coming through
already being announced obviously trove and trove pro for your launch things have been going very
very well there and i know everyone's been very well there and i know everyone's being very excited
not just us though the community has been kicking
out a whole bunch of great things as part of the ecosystem so flux is now live on the internet flux
those who don't know it is a stable point on radix so users can using fusd and set their own interest rates and then yield by providing liquidity in FUSD
into that system.
The Machinist, another part of the Radex community, he's just launched a mini-series, I guess
it's a mini at the moment, but it's quite big, of Radex21 on how to get started with
He's already on basically downloading and setting up the wallet
we've got one it might actually be out already i'm sure it will be soon around kind of staking
and how to get involved with validators and he's got an entire series planned out for that so that's
going to be really exciting to see come through and make sure to check them out it's a great way
to want more people into radix and very thankful for all sorts of stuff that
he's been putting out and doing in the community and really is a champion from the ambassador's
point of view there. The Bureau have also integrated, so that's a great way to get
some more information about what's going on in Trove and the increased activity there through
Trove Pro. And Radek's Hub, which is a mobile app, is the Android store. I know
they're going to be going out on the iOS store very, very soon once that all gets approved.
So they've added a bunch more new features and really to get the latest happening in
Radix and the ecosystem and just helps further spread that surface area, discover Radix,
that surface area, discover radix,
recuperate radix, everything that is being built
in the ecosystem and going on.
So that kind of wraps up a lot of the things
on what's been going on in the ecosystem.
I'm assuming Dan is stuck in traffic
since he hasn't been able to join yet.
So I'm going to dive in to some of the media topics
that are coming in.
So all of this is really fresh off the press.
And I say we, myself, Dan, Andy have been in a room,
locked in together for the last two and a half days,
going through what are the things that are necessary to make
that we're in a really strong position for basically RADIC summer.
So we've got a really great plan in place for this now.
Now, really focused on the feeling,
the needle,
listening to all of the feedback from the community
and are very, very thankful for all of that.
The stat builders, builders, all the projects,
all of the giving their input on these things
has helped shape it.
So we're going to be doing kind of a full announcement
of the priorities and things we're doing and the strategies will be in place next week.
Spoil too much of it, especially as Dan isn't able to jump on the call at the moment.
But the headlines are there's three main things that we really want to make sure are hit in quality over the next few months.
So first and foremost, of course, hyperscale.
So Dan obviously is going to be a proof
of talk next week so once that's once that's through he's been going to block by all of the
robustness of the hyperscale test network has been going really well down very very confident
about getting that deployed testing plan for both the internal community tests probably grabbing it
the third parties for kind scaled-up tests there
just to make sure they're all running tests there,
just to make sure they're all running easily,
and then kick that off into kind of the big bang test
to hit the really big numbers.
But from a pro perspective, everyone who's involved
in the high scale tests in the private group
and how the system has become more resilient
is dealing with all of these edge cases
which is really down to as sam will put it i'm sure you won't mind me there that the core tech
of high scale has been working solidly for a long time with these community tests the atomic
rush atomic russia composability the ability to linearly scale and get more shards on and the nodes of, dealing with edge case kind of systems running on the network.
Shout out Teman here for often connecting and the hyperscale tests on a laptop, Wi-Fi
and stuff like that to get some very consumer-specced machines involved in that testing and testing
and finding these things that will still take up.
But really what Dan is really focused on hyperscale at the moment is that
going to be into the system. So all of the core things are working exactly as he wants
and all of those tests can run for hours and days
without any issues or things
keeping in that means that it doesn't behave as well
in those situations. So he's working on that. I'm
busy working on that side as well with all of the parties that we want to get involved in the big
test and end up. So making sure they're all prepared, making sure that we're integrating
them into the kind of community testing standpoint of it and should be seeing that scaled up. That's
the first big one. The next big one is, of course, the incentive campaign. So the incentive campaign, airdrop, points program, whatever people want to call it, that has been a key focus.
That has been a key focus. Obviously, we announced it. The token holder consultation went out around it.
So everything is really geared up of doing what's already like the ecosystem is fantastic.
What's already like the ecosystem is fantastic.
There is a list of incredibly functional DApps that really are best in class in many of their categories.
It is a broad ecosystem, an ecosystem, an interconnected ecosystem, really just needs more capital, more users into it.
So the incentive campaign, as anyone who's been following the Telegram post, you will know know is still on track to be in the very very
near future and
we're basically just working full speed
on what are the things that are going to be
incentivised on that week on week
week on week and how quickly can we get them
into a priority with all the things
we want to be incentivising
as I mentioned in telegram
because actually end of last week
was the first kind of definite
around adding USDC liquidity
into the ecosystem
and then really expanding
off of that and getting
traded volumes,
account volumes accounted for,
making sure markets are accounted for,
making sure purpose markets
are accounted for,
the native Radex assets
are accounted for in there
and then the long tail
of all the
other things you can do in the again it's going to be on an alternative basis exactly
the same as we have done with kind of our new approach with kind of wallet release and
stuff like that work like that where you want to get some life make sure out there we start
getting traction and because it's kind of done on a weekly cadence that each week has
activities that you can do the season point rewards,
that we can iterate on that.
If something's not working,
we can double down on it.
If something's not quite working,
then we can swap it out,
do a different method for it
and also just add more activities
rather than saying,
actually, let's not do things
until we've got the top 20
or the top 50 activities
that we want to be rewarding.
We'll do nothing until then that's
not the approach we're taking we want to get we want to get things live in market distraction
start getting more assets in and start making sure that really the lifeblood of the ecosystem
which is capital liquidity and on-chain actions are incentivized we can push that so talking on
i know there's been some discussions around like why
we're kicking off with USDC liquidity.
an analogy for this, which is
in DeFi ecosystems,
USDC or any stablecoins
are essentially the oil of the
right now.
With Ignition having ended a go, the entire
ecosystem on Radix needs
more of that oil to keep things going to make other build-ups.
A good example of this is something like surge or root, very, very good loads because there's
very high demand for US.
We need to make sure that we're incentivizing anyone and everyone to bridge over more assets
to utilize risk.
From there, it's adding in more things on adding in more because there's no point for
example prioritizing incentivizing advising volume if the assets it to be able to trade in the market
so that is that we very focused on and iterating on over launch launch. Alongside that, there's some kind of other bits that are needed to
get done. So we work with some market makers to make sure that we put on-chain market makers in
place, or that those assets, especially kind of group assets or rough assets, are in a position
where there's a market for, they're off to the wider network. Who's got some of the X assets. One of the things we facilitated this week
during foundation strategy sessions
was making sure that there was a facility
to anyone who's got the long tail of X assets
like XRM for example on chain
to be able to exit those positions if they want to.
So all of those X assets,
if you are holding any of them
or act to now sell them
into xrd there's been some bits put up on or limit orders put up on caviar 9 in order to do that you
do that because some people in the community stuck those assets weren't being actively traded
so that's one of the things there um and then the the big one the big one outside course is bridges. So this is one that I'm
going to be a little bit cautious mentioning as of now because I'm acutely aware of not
over committing before we've got the ink dry on the contract. But one of the big focus
in working sessions, we've done this, we've done this for a done this is I won't name them but there is a
prominent bridge
it's already connected to
many chains, many assets
it is a fully permissionless
that we are now in
essentially agreement with
on getting them in a
where they're going to be incorporating RADX
on a very aggressive
timeline. They're extremely excited about this and does open up the opportunity for us to have
a fully permissionless mid-burn bridge with connectivity to many chains, many chains,
lie roughly in line with when the incentives campaign will kick off. So Dan, Andy and I have
been pushing that extremely hard this week um as i said as i said
the ink is not as yet so we're not naming them at the moment but this is something we know that
the ecosystem really needs to be able to be successful with the incentives we have going
live so that we're able to get those assets in a lot of just over and that is that we're very caught and we're very caught
and against with an established bridge to be able to get them on board and at the moment with
going through the contract final contract from them will be kicked that off as part of the
and there was also part of the incentives proposal so those three
things um the the foreseeable we need to make the scale the incentive airdrop and also a trustless
bridge are all basically the p ones they all need to go there we need to promote them well
on the budgets around that making sure that we're investing appropriately and within our
means and foundation, while also making sure that we're getting attention on Radex, on
EEC and on these developments effectively, so that we're able to grow that A&M and grow
traction, which in turn opens up a lot more doors for the other important areas, like
new asset issuers, especially stablecoin, need to be issuing on RADx and many more. So more updates next week.
Next week, the job is going to be drafting up the full announcement of what that strategy
is, what it means, why we're focusing on those things.
But all in all, the last few days have been productive, despite turbulence in the ecosystem
this morning that I'm sure sure you will be aware of i'm going
to give that the benefit of it of naming it but no unity or many in the community are hurting as
a result the actions of some things that have happened this morning and also that as well like
this morning dan was all related to that rug and has been really looking at how to support the community and again
on that call the dam basically proposing a way to go buy back there we heard loud and clear very
very quickly from the community that that wasn't something that was generally supported so we
based on feedback so once again thank you we are listening we are trying to make sure that
we're hitting the things and those calls won't always be the right call that we are listening
position there so for since uh has what he can't he's stuck so i can see that flighter fox has a question so flighter fox you should be able to
accept the mic
I can see speaker
yo adam hey uh sorry i if it had occurred to me earlier i would have come up
earlier but your audio throughout this entire space has been really bad like like almost unintelligible
like like almost unintelligible
and it still is because i don't know what you just said
can you hear me at all uh It's cutting in and out.
It's cutting in and out, and it's repeating a lot.
I mean, like, I heard you say that.
This is the joy.
This is the joy of trying to join via mobile.
I literally go on my phone for 20 minutes before this
I literally got my phone for five minutes before this.
well the question is can you remember everything you just said
and repeat it
on a mic that works
yep that's what i think what i think i'll do it won't be or maybe it will be
radically um but i will close the space thanks for letting me know
uh that that was just you're in, but you're welcome. ...set up to my ear.
Because it's gone really bad, what I might do, if no one could hear anything that I was
saying before, is I will end this space and recreate it and just do everything I just did
all over again. So do rejoin in just a second. I'll kick it back off again and we'll restart
from the top
