So, like, the market was labeled as, when will he be out of power?

And so there was, Kalshi refuses to pay winnings on $54 million trade related to Kamani's death,
drawing user fury.
So never once did it say anything of how he had to die,
what he had to do, anything of that nature.
It was just, you know, he was out.
And so since he was killed, they're now trying to,
they apparently went in and changed some stuff like mid-wager for the outcome.
And now they're refusing to pay out everyone who had money on there.
What they did do, where is it at right here?

They put out a tweet, said a prior version of the clarification was grammatically ambiguous.
As a customer service measure, Calci will reimburse lost value due to trades made between these clarifications.
So their resolution was too ambiguous.
And they went in and clarified
it that if he was killed,
that wouldn't count, which is bullshit.
And now
they're refusing to pay out $54 million
in earnings
to people that
ended up actually winning.
So people are
pissed at Calci.
They're going to leave their accounts.
Threatening all kinds of stuff.
I'll play devil's advocate on this.
If future markets come up where the bet is that someone will do something in specific or not,
then you could make the argument that people could take the not side and then kill a motherfucker, right?
Like, there's strict rules against, like, deadpools.
And if the death of somebody involved in a market can count as a resolution to the market,
then effectively almost every pool that involves a human being is a deadpool.

If he dies, the market will resolve based on the last traded price
prior to confirming report of death.
And that's where a lot of people lost money at.
And then they followed it up, you know.
So they changed it.
They left it open to interpretation in the beginning.
Then halfway through, they changed it, and then he dies.
So, you know, at that point, I think you should just settle everyone back
at what was invested into what their initial investment was and move on.
