yeah cpi was um you know uh pretty on par with where we thought it was going to be slightly a little bit higher in particular areas.
But overall, pretty much, you know, kind of as expected.
The PPI came in less, which was good.
But yeah, you know, it rose a little bit.
The CPI and the jobless claims rose as well.
So it really, you know, kind of on point,
it makes it a little bit more difficult for the interest rate cuts,
but they're going to do it regardless.
It's not perfect.
You know, the inflation has been stubborn,
and the weaker labor market kind of makes it a little bit more complicated
to do the interest rate cuts, but they're going to do it regardless. But yeah, so, you know, it's all right. It wasn't great.
It wasn't horrible. It was kind of pretty much where it was expected. But, you know,
the TradFi market's reacting positively to it. Dow Jones up 600 points, NASDAQ up 155, and S&P's up 54 points after the CPI numbers came out
because everybody's kind of looking at it as, okay, it's clear sailing up until the 17th where we'll get the FOMC meeting.
And most likely we'll get a 0.25 BIPs cut. We'll see.
Some people still think 50's in play. I don't think it is personally.
