I'm excited for this weekend man. Man brother I'm telling you we got some we got some really
really saucy matchups coming up man and you know we'll talk a little bit about them man
but how you been man I've been away I've been getting acclimated to my new job working at
the port of Houston so I've been really really really busy working days nights weekends and
all sorts of fun stuff man and um you know I'm trying to slowly keep spaces alive but yeah no
it's fun man I've just been excited doing it man but how you been uh pretty good I'm actually uh
so I'm actually not uh not that surprised that uh that Dallas lost uh on Sunday because I actually
had the Packers win too however I did expect that I I did expect better from that I did expect better
well you know okay so what what are your thoughts yeah you know I I mean you know what look
I I have beaten up on these Dallas fans um all year and you know it's the same thing we get the
same thing every year you know they get they they you know win 10 plus games they get to the
playoffs and then they choke last year before uh you know with Brady they they they retired Brady
I get it I understand that that was cool um you know that they they thought after that they had
some life but I knew you know what it was and this year I don't know man especially down the
stretch I just didn't see enough from them I didn't see enough from them I didn't see them
doing enough and Green Bay was has been hot you know they they've been one of the hottest teams
in the league and I saw a scenario I was like man Green Bay could come in there and do something
and uh and not only did they do something they murdered them so it was crazy to see I was
surprised and we got rippy what's up and I was also surprised that they decided to bring that
that you know that's what we're going to talk about you know and and I want to get from you
I'm going to get from Ripper uh on that thoughts because I'll give you my thoughts after that but
what's up Ripper how you doing man tip is in uh tip tip tip I had to start that off to the tip is in
what is up man dude everything is up man I am good I'm excited to to talk more I feel like
so much is going on and uh it was enjoyable to hear a little bit of what Alphonse was saying
I know you got opinions I we got a lot of stuff to break down today in a different fashion though
yeah hell yeah man I'm excited about it okay I just put you in this co-host I'm sending out the uh
chat right now for people to jump in yeah and meanwhile I'm gonna just load a couple of the
posts that I put up in the last uh week in case you want to dive into them you run it how you want
we don't need to go through everything but I want to make sure to share a few of the things I've
been thinking through and talking about absolutely yeah let's start with that hell yeah
uh-oh sorry about that guys I had a phone call come in uh okay no go ahead Ripper
well let's just start with uh this first one I'm gonna put it up here uh in the uh okay uh that
didn't work but it's around we've got coaches they're out there the first one and this is where
we could start head coaches I can't remember in a time in my life that I have seen the level of
and quality of head coaches available on the market yeah as this off season and we're not there yet
right because we're still in that we're in the playoffs but the coaches that are out there there
has never it's not even remotely this this good so I think this is a an interesting thing to dive
into when we think about the different coaches out there and for me I said this mainly Jim Harbaugh
LA Chargers to me as a match made in heaven if I'm the Chargers I gotta I gotta make it happen
I I just there's nothing that Jim Harbaugh can do that I'm giving him a blank check essentially
if I'm the Spanos family and I'm saying please bring us to Valhalla so that's my starting point
I've also put where I think the other guys could go from Belichick, Rabel and specifically Ben
Johnson but to me the LA Chargers can win everything this offseason by making sure that they bring in
Jim Harbaugh with the last fact being and I was putting time into looking into this I know we
know Jim Harbaugh just won the national championship in college but the ironic thing about Jim Harbaugh
is nobody alive in the world has a higher winning percentage in the NFL as a head coach
than Jim Harbaugh he's got the fifth highest winning percentage of NFL coaches in history
so to me it's unbelievable you've got your you've got your quarterback everyone says Justin Herbert
is the man well I mean we've seen Jim Harbaugh do it with way less than a Justin Herbert so to me
the Chargers need to make sure they get it done with Jim Harbaugh you know you brought up so many
good points you know started with the Jim Harbaugh but you start you you really really started it off
by saying the quality of coaches a lot of times in the NFL when we get these coaching uh carousels
these coaching changes the the new coaches come in a lot of times it's a lot of coordinators a
lot of guys we may not have heard of they're not household names this year we've got two potential
hall of fame coaches and Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll uh that are still there you know still
sitting there waiting to get grabbed by one of these teams I love the Jim Harbaugh um you know
I think that that would be a really really good match will the Spanos family pull up that money
though you know there has been talks about how cheap this family is um especially when it comes
to spending um on coaches uh you know will they do it I think you're right I think it is a match made
in heaven so I think it wouldn't work out for them but are they going to actually pull the trigger are
they tired of these mediocre seasons these mediocre you know teams that they get now they
do have a lot of injuries that that always pile up on them um but you know what I like it another
one that that go ahead go ahead I want I want I don't want to interrupt you I just want to add
one thing to that this is one of those instances when we talk about Harbaugh the Chargers where
that saying where it takes you know it takes money to make money they may have to pay up for Jim
Harbaugh but think about the market in Los Angeles and the amount of money that they'll make by
filling the stadium sales playoff games like they'll make the contract they pay Jim Harbaugh
in like two five x by paying up in the short term to make more money long term but I want to hear
your thoughts on the other guys too yeah I mean you know the other guys too like like you know
Vable Mike Vable I mean we saw what he did in Tennessee he's had other than this year
he's had a really good um you know coaching career in the NFL and you know one of those teams that
are out there like the Atlanta Falcons this team is a quarterback away guys um that's really all
they need they've got really good players on the offensive end they've got really good players on
the defensive end they got our top 10 offensive line they got a decent defensive line as well
I mean that would be a coach's dream for me uh you know I would want to go if I was one of these
coaches uh you know I know that they've had their second interview with Belbella checked
I still like Mike Vable over there you know I think that he could adapt to those younger players
because that is a young team that they have there uh especially some other offensive guys
are younger I think he could probably you know still be hard-nosed but Belbella check you know
that hey he is the coach uh that is going to demand a lot and I think that's why he didn't
go to Dallas a lot of people were wanting him to go to Dallas but I just couldn't see Jerry
Jones giving up full control like that like a Bill Bela check would want now I could definitely
see Atlanta doing that uh but I still like Mike Vable over hopefully going to Atlanta I think
that they can build up on something but um I was really surprised and I know we're getting to get
to Ramblin Russ I was really really really surprised McCarthy uh kept his job there I know
he had the three seasons in a row 12 and five I get it but I just don't see a change I did see
a little bit of change in the offense uh you know a little bit change in back but it wasn't enough it
wasn't a significant change I still think the problem with Mike McCarthy is his time management
and his penalties and we've seen that every year with the time management especially with the
penalties the penalties are killing this team they've got to get more discipline um I just
don't know if he's going to be that that that that person maybe they can build on this yet
again um this will be the second year uh McCarthy is taking off full reigns as a you know offensive
guy offensive play caller whatever you want to call it uh with that but I just don't know
man that's getting a year older they need to find a run game will they do that in the off season
Derek Henry possibly going over there I don't know we got to figure this run game out
Ramblin Russ what do you got to say first of all thanks for having me on your on your program
uh I think that uh it's a very interesting situation going on uh with New York right now
when you look at both New York teams they're going to be in the market for a coach next year
both New York teams will be in the market for a coach here that's my prediction on that
not this coming year but next year sometime next year they'll both have new coaches so that's
number one they're on the hottest of hot seat both guys uh number two uh in regards to Bill
Belichick uh I believe that he will wind up in Atlanta the reason why I say that
the reason I say that is because he's gone for a second interview as as it's been reported
and you know if you're going for a second interview and you're Bill Belichick obviously the Atlanta
Falcons are interested in him and they're and he's interested in them so it could have been
a good match for him um and Atlanta's like you said tip a team on the up so that's that's a good
match for him as far as Pete Carroll goes um I don't know I think he should retire I think he
should go into that home office you know uh be a be an office guy help with the personnel
but he certainly has energy to still coach but I'm not sure where he'll wind up maybe he
winds up back with one of the New York teams next year but Kylie doubtful at 72 I know he's 71 now
um and then variable um you're higher on variable than I am tip although he did do a good job with
Tennessee for for several years was very surprised that the Patriots didn't go outside to get their
next coach very surprised there um because Mayo Jarrod Mayo although he's thought of very highly
uh you know he's a guy who who you know it's going to be hard for them to get rid of him quickly and
you don't want to be the guy that follows the legend there um they're a long ways away
New England that was interesting um but from a local standpoint very disappointed with the
Giants and jet law I'm not a Jeff fan but Giants very disappointed and hoping that we can
turn uh turn it around next year I'm trying to think what other openings there are Washington
has an opening that hasn't been filled yet correct correct yeah so Washington maybe for able winds up
in Washington that might be a better spot for him I don't know but uh of the guys out there
I think for able of the younger guys out there obviously for able fits a lot of fits a lot of
checks a lot of boxes off as far as this coaching goes um I don't know curious to know
what everyone else thinks and throw my two cents in as you can see from my picture I'm
a big husky fan we're number one in the country first time in 14 years we've been 18 number one
and we're hopefully we'd be villain over Saturday night on the road we'll stay number one for at
least two weeks but uh very happy with them there you go man there you go hey Ripper real quick I
see that you got the you get to choose one of these coaches for the rest of the playoffs
this is very very very fun um you know you have um you have uh Shanahan you got coach
Andy Reed you got Jim Harbaugh and you got the guy that I would pick
and coach Matt LaFlora this coach Matt LaFlora I just love his play calling I love the way he
calls plays I know that you got some heavy hitters on here but these guys have done things and done
things in this league Matt LaFlora has done some things too he's done some really nice things had
Aaron Rodgers I know that they had um you know a really good chemistry together but I like Matt
LaFlora what he's done with this team what he's done with this young team and just continues to
coach him up what he's done with Jordan Love I don't think a lot of people understand how good
Jordan Love was this year 32 touchdowns 11 interceptions the dude was a really really
really solid I know he had a couple of up and down games but that's to be expected with him as
as a year one starter um not a rookie but a year one starter um you know in in his first year he
has nothing but to build up on that so I'm gonna pick Matt LaFlora especially after what he did to
Dallas last week but um go ahead I see Rob with his hand up what up Rob it's good to have you on
and then Ripper we're gonna get into these divisional round playoff games as well but Rob
what you got shout out to you guys the Ripping Tip show shout out to everybody hello hello uh
Rob is speechless look at this hello can you hear me I can't even hear him can you hear me
dude the question left him speechless wow Rob you might have to drop down and come back up bro because
we cannot can can you hear him Ripper no I can't hear him so yeah you might have to drop down and
come back up we'll get you right back on hey Tip I want to add to what you said because Matt LaFlora
unbelievable guy I listen in the NFL preview that I put out in August in my NFC area for the
division I specifically said Green Bay surprises as Jordan Love is better than people realize
and Matt LaFlora gets more respect now I missed a bunch of stuff I nailed a bunch of stuff that is
one area that I think I was right on and you're right because Matt LaFlora is a heck of a coach
and a lot of people associated his success with Aaron Rodgers but this season and specifically
towards the end of the season and what he did in defeating and dominating Dallas really put Matt
LaFlora in a higher echelon of people going you know what this guy can coach this guy's a winner
and it's not just that he's made and showcased how good Jordan Love is but I mean they went
into Dallas and and throttled the Cowboys and not many people expected that to be the outcome
yeah 100% I did Rob what is up man okay Rob Rob Rob Rob
first of all shout out to you guys to rip the tip that's what I was saying earlier
shout out to everybody all the everybody here hello
Rob admit that you didn't expect 20s expect you didn't expect 27 nothing oh no no but I expected
them to choke like they've choked for the last 20 years that's what I did expect so I had a great
weekend except for the Knicks losing you know the Eagles lost the Cowboys lost I was like oh
this was a great weekend but uh my question was when you mentioned Washington did both
co-coaches get fired or only uh what's his name from Carolina yeah I think it was just Rivera
I think are you talking about become the coach right because they are you talking about the
enemy the enemy yeah yeah I don't think that they've they've you know released that or anything
the only thing that I've heard is that they have they had they I think hired a general manager
have done a couple general manager jobs I think they're going to focus on that first and then
go to the coaching but yeah the enemy I mean he deserves another shot again he did a good job
with that offense I think it was more towards the beginning of the year than the end of the year
the end of the year it's almost like Sam Howell just couldn't figure things out and I know he got
a little banged up as well uh but yeah no the enemy again is in the in this situation where he
has an opportunity to become a coach well the one thing the one thing about the Washington situation
is they did hire the general manager Adam Peters they brought him in from San Francisco he's been
a huge architect in helping John Lynch bring in the players out in San Francisco so I'm assuming
that you know for now they're gonna you know hire their coach and everything that I've heard
is that they're going to bring in Ben Johnson it seems like that's almost just waiting for the the
lines to finish the playoffs but with that being said I would imagine whoever they decide coach is
going to be the deciding factor on what happens with the coordinators so and lastly when you
asked who am I choosing I'm choosing Harbaugh because you know his brother just won a championship
you know he's going to be sitting there in his ear helping him out so Harbaugh's my guy
yeah you can't go wrong with Harbaugh man he's he's been one of those coaches that has
he's been in the with the organization the Baltimore Ravens for a long time you know that
that doesn't happen in this day and age and in the NFL uh too often but he's one of those guys
along with Mike Tomlin before before this this year Bella checked uh or I've said the last couple
weeks Bella check um is just when you think of the Baltimore Ravens you think of uh as far as
coaches you think of uh of John Harbaugh and he's done a hell of a job with that team they have done
a lot you know of progressions through their through through that time that he's been there
and um you know to go from Joe Flacco to Lamar Jackson he's always had a really good defense
even though he may not have some of the premier names on that defense they always do a really
good job but yeah I like John Harbaugh
all right ripper you ready let's get into these divisional round games man I can't wait for it
I can't wait for it um man but well you know what we didn't we we we had our show about
um the the wild card weekend you know I know there was a bunch of surprises I mean the Texans
surprised I had them winning um but I didn't have them doing what they did I did have Green Bay
winning um I had the Eagles winning I thought the Eagles were gonna actually come out and do
something and they they didn't do anything uh but just give some of your takeaways ripper on on
the wild card weekend yeah I think that's a good point because you know we talk about these
things beforehand and we don't often talk about the after effects a couple thoughts I uh we talked
about this specifically the coach of the year let's just recall in three weeks from now when Kevin
Stavanski gets named coach of the year that the truth is that D'Amico Ryans is the coach of the
year I mean let's be honest people D'Amico Ryans should be the coach of this this season no matter
why and everyone's gonna you know debate it but so Houston beating Cleveland in the way that they
beat them was super impressive and so credit to the Houston organization you love to see it love
to see what D'Amico has done there I was uh most surprised by what you said the Eagles I mean they
laid an egg it wasn't just that they down the stretch were terrible they just left it through
and and honestly been thinking about it's like what player was sleeping with another player's
wife or what happened that there was such dissension I mean the the the body language
the arguing with hurts everything just seemed off in that uh team down the stretch and it
was disappointing I was most surprised also by Sean McVey uh and only I'll say that because I thought
that the Rams should have won that game I picked the Rams like the Lions but I thought that the
Rams actually should have won that game Stafford balled out they couldn't get those touchdowns they
got field goals and I was most disappointed at the end of the game when Sean McVey
decided to punt the ball uh at the end there I thought you have to go for it on fourth and
four whatever uh it made no sense so I thought he kind of did a poor job at the end there
but credit to the Lions they deserved it uh you know great season and it continues I think they'll
probably will get into that game in a little bit I wasn't surprised by the Dolphins laying the egg
the Chiefs dominating and look now everyone's gonna say wait Kansas City they're back they look
pretty good offensively they look they look like they may you know Mahomes doesn't lose in the
playoff Andy Reed two-time champ so you got that uh obviously I was surprised by how bad Dallas looked
not just that Green Bay could win but the fact that Dallas was so poor it was embarrassing
but fun weekend I hope the games are a little bit better this weekend I think they will be
that's kind of my takeaway from wild card weekend yeah I mean besides that Rams game versus the
Lions all of them were were pretty just blah you're right I mean the Rams and Lions they gave us
a good game Sunday night um you know right down to the wire uh like you said Sean McVeigh with
that punt you know yes uh but the Lions looked like hey they they are they're they're for real
you know they they came out really strong at the beginning you knew the Rams weren't gonna go
away you knew they were gonna be tough uh with Sean McVeigh with Matt Saffert there uh but yeah
man I I'm really excited for this week I think this week is the week that we get some closer
games you know um we've got first of all let's just start with this game I know it's not the first
game of the of the um the vision around but how can we not start with this Chiefs versus Bills game
this is the the the Sunday evening game it's there for a reason we remember what happened
the last time these guys Josh Allen Patrick Mahomes played in the playoffs and we had that just
crazy crazy crazy game um you know this is gonna be fun it's in Buffalo so Kansas City has to travel
now you know they have to travel uh this time around um but you're right Kansas City looked
good they look like they got their things together um you know look Buffaloes lost a few other key
players on the defensive end you know that they're going to exploit that the Kansas City Chiefs
Rasheed right Rasheed Rice is a monster look out for this kid next year in fantasy
because all they're gonna do is build up on this uh you know Travis Kelce is gonna be a year older
should he even play you know his brother shout out to Jason Kelce he retired so look this Rasheed
Rice kid is nice he almost had two touchdowns last week so I'm really high on this game
I'm thinking that this is gonna be the the game of the week they're gonna they're gonna leave it
for us at the end it's gonna be back and forth but I do feel like Josh Allen is going to pull
it out this time against Patrick Mahomes I think this is Josh Allen's time guys I think it's his
time to represent the AFC I don't know if he's gonna win the Super Bowl or not but I think it's
his time to represent the AFC he's had a really up and down year and you know he knows he throws
his interceptions we get it but um you know towards the end of the year that defense really has started
to come on a little bit stronger I know they got a couple of players knocked out from from last week
and that that won't be there this week but I think that they're playing uh well enough defense
um there you can't stop Mahomes you can't really stop this offense when it's clicking but I think
that Josh Allen is just gonna do what he does and carry this team to victory what you say Ripper
yeah this is this is my favorite game of the weekend for sure Buffalo Kansas City third time
into playoffs Mahomes Josh Allen to me two best quarterbacks in football my favorite quarterback
is Josh Allen love the way he plays the game love that team but I'm gonna actually say the
irony of this is that we're gonna watch not just CJ Stroud's rookie road playoff debut
we're watching the playoff debut on the road of Patrick Mahomes I know that sounds crazy
this is the first road game in the playoffs that Patty Mahomes is gonna play which is wild to think
about with all the playoff games he's been in and Kansas City the Chiefs under Mahomes and Reid have
never lost with Mahomes as quarterback before a conference championship I think they're gonna keep
that going because of those defensive injuries you talked about which we saw further in last game
Buffalo lost a couple more defenders I think that's gonna be the difference in this game and so
I wouldn't be surprised obviously if Buffalo wins it's gonna be a heck of a game but I'm gonna take
the Kansas City experience and specifically the Kansas City defense because everyone's focused on
the offense isn't that good this year the defense of Kansas City is the best that Mahomes and Reid
have had since he's been there I'm excited for this one but I think the Kansas City defense will
make one play uh that will be enough to get the Kansas City Chiefs into another conference
championship game all right all right all right we see I see my guy Jeff has his hand up and Jeff
guys he has he has a podcast it's called Death Tax uh well I'll let him say the name because I'm
probably gonna put but anyway it's with Ben uh Holloway Jeff's on there I've been on there a
couple of times uh that's death tax one really really great podcast that I've been a part of
but I want to let Jeff get on there what you got for me hey man thanks for the shout out yeah
death tax in sports every Wednesday 30 uh Houston Standard Time great to be on here um here's
what I'm gonna say I think Kansas City is gonna pull this game out it's gonna be a close one
I think it's gonna be like a like a 24-20 type game it's who do you trust more at head coach
who do you trust more at quarterback in the key moments playoff time I'm taking Kansas City
if Kansas City wins this to the gentleman's point this is his first road game for Pat Mahomes
if they're able to pull this championship out they could because with that defense anything
is possible this will probably be the most impressive championship run of Mahomes's three
Super Bowls and Andy Reid's best coaching job because this offense has been an absolute mess
I just believe that they're gonna find a way to squeak it out and get it to another AFC
championship game so I'm really interested to see what Pat Mahomes does in the playoffs on the road
but that man has veins of of of cold ice I'm looking forward to it should be a good one
yeah 100 awesome yeah you know and you know awesome guy also guys we do talk fantasy
football so I'm just gonna give a real quick fantasy football nugget a player to look out for
and this is the time of the year where you you know our fantasy seasons are over for those who
play fantasy football however there's still fantasy playoffs that you that you can be a part of
I'm a part of a few leagues and fantasy playoffs one of the guys that I have on my team is uh
Khalil Khalil Shakir Shakir and this is the guy that I'm watching because I'm watching for it to
see what's going to happen with him next year as well I really really like him I would like him
playing in the slot he's a big slot receiver big play threat as well it seems like they kind
of veered off a little bit from Gabe Davis now that Dalton Kincaid is in the mix and you got
Dawson Knox as well so I like to live here I think he's going to be somebody to watch
this this week and moving forward into our uh 2024 drafts as well but um what's anything
else you have for that one Ripper? No you made some really good points on that game
and I'm gonna be watching for for Khalil he's been playing well lately he's a fantasy guy to
pay attention to especially if you're doing something in the playoffs but specifically
next year as well and of course Rishi Rice heck of a heck of a heck of a rookie uh but yeah I'm
taking the Chiefs I just I'm excited for this game gonna be a fun game it is gonna be a fun one
you know usually you save the best for last but I don't know man I just couldn't I couldn't wait
I couldn't wait to talk about that game and another game that I think that we that that's
gonna be really really really exciting uh we're gonna jump up to Saturday is gonna be this Texans
versus the Ravens look they played each other at the beginning of the season a lot of people don't
remember they played each other at the beginning of the season the CJ Stroud young pup rookie
coming into the fold we've seen a complete different CJ Stroud now we've seen a dog
this guy who uses all of his weapons throws the ball down the field but I will say this man
they are going against Lamar Jackson look Lamar Jackson gets possibly Mark Andrews back he's
practicing in full I know that they that Isaiah likely has been doing his thing and been really
doing great things for that offense down the stretch especially uh towards the end of the
season when Mark Andrews is out but I will say this he's getting possibly Mark Andrews back
Dalvin Cook was activated to the 53 man roster now so Dalvin Cook is active that right there those
two pieces right there those two pieces I'm not gonna say that Dalvin Cook's gonna blow
up and have a great game but that is somebody that you have to be worried about with this
running game uh you know they got Gus Edwards Justice Hill man this this this Ravens team
the way that Todd Monken has brought this offense together spread this spread teams defenses out
and just brings it into the fold man I'll tell you what it's going to be a tough task for these
Texans but you know what these young guys are hungry and D'Amico Ryan's been just like Ripper said
he should be coach of the year he's been coaching up this defense all season long all season long
and they got some young hungry dogs on that defense but I do think Baltimore does uh you
know pull it out against the Texans it's going to be a close one I don't see a blowout I do see
Baltimore coming out a little flat towards at the beginning of the game but then figuring
things out because they haven't played essentially in two weeks so they'll figure some things out
you know Texans are going to give them a lot a lot at the beginning of it but I think Baltimore
figures it out and wins what about you Ripper and I think we got a few hands on this one
yeah this is a fun game too I mean listen CJ Strad was electric
Houston great season you're right they opened the season they played Baltimore one different teams
at this point maybe Mark Andrews returns but as you said you know Dalvin Cook activated we've got
John Harbaugh heck of a coach he's got extra time they're helping they're rested you know Lamar's
been hearing about his playoff success or a lack of there I gotta go with Baltimore on this one I
think if we look at the games this is the game I think that could get a little bit out of control
and Baltimore even if they start a little slow I like Baltimore to win this and win this pretty
handily hmm all right let's get to the hands I see um let's go to Alfonso we haven't heard from him
yet then we'll go to Rob NFL Draft and then Jeff Alfonso what you got man yeah so uh the the first
game actually I'm actually gonna um be gone with uh I'm going with the bills uh at home I'm like
kind of tired of seeing um Kansas City and I don't want to see them playing my 49ers in Super Bowl
again so I'm going with the bills and in this game of course easy I gotta go with Baltimore
Houston is just really young right now and uh I think uh Baltimore has honestly
has what it takes to get to the Super Bowl so I got Baltimore winning that one
okay all right all right uh NFL Draft what you got for us and then we'll get to Rob
yo hey what's up everybody um I'm gonna go with the that's Tate oh hold up man hold up
hold up you just changed everything on this bro dang I'm looking at it now okay all right all
right shout out to you that's Tate everybody if everybody doesn't know that's film room Tate
all right film room all right NFL Draft get to it I'm sorry brother oh no it's it's a long story
of how we got here that's all I'm gonna say but uh it wasn't it wasn't my choice don't beat us
up too much if we would have known it was you we probably would have gave the Texas a little
bit more chance I'm just kidding oh man um first thing first I want to say what's up to everybody
as always but uh what I want to say is about about the Texans I think the Texans are going
to win this game and yes it's because I'm a homer so of course right but hey you gotta represent
but I but I'm gonna say this it was a it was a much closer game week one the Ravens they are
a great football team is there a football X's in those way they have better players they have more
experience more experience coaching yes but the Ravens turn the football over we and we know in
the playoffs if you turn the football over you can be beaten and hey the games that they lost
over the past couple years has been because of turnovers if we can force them turnovers
don't be surprised by that final score that's all I'm gonna say all right all right you heard
it from I want to hear from Rob what you gotta say Rob so actually I was gonna say Jeff was before
me but since he left yeah yeah he dropped out yeah I'm gonna jump in so uh Kansas City if they
win or they make the Super Bowl that is like you know that's better than that New England dynasty
you know what I'm saying yeah New England won three out of four with Brady but then it took
them a couple of years to get back in and if Kansas City makes it again that's like what is
it four out of the five years that they're in the Super Bowl that's like that's like an amazing
stat you know they only miss one you know with that you know with the Cincinnati one you know
so that's like why but you know so I really you know I'm not a fan of Buffalo so that's that
all year I was rooting for Baltimore in Seattle Seattle didn't make it so forget Baltimore
I'm going you know people still don't know how to pronounce the quarterback used in his names
they still call him Strauss like my last name so I adopted him you know because a lot of people
still call my last name so I'm rooting for him by the way just to say something since 2002
Houston has more playoff wins than the Dallas Cowboys so who's the real team in Texas
oh I know I know NFL draft slash Tate is gonna love that one but he's got his hand up appreciate
you Rob what you gotta say Tate well first I gotta say is I didn't say it he did so you know
that's all I gotta say hey love it Rob is the man with the with the with the wisdom and the
experience he's seen it all so that's all I gotta say but that's what the second thing I wanted to
say this is a must-win game for the Bills they have to win this game we you know this is like
Tom Brady Peyton Manning when Peyton Manning finally got Tom Brady to come into his house
he won Josh Allen now you got patchable homes in your house you gotta win this game man yeah
you gotta win this game I definitely I agree with that I think and that's why I picked Josh Allen
because I think that there is a window and we are staring at Josh Allen is staring at that window
and that window is this week and that is that is the window this is the window of opportunity
that I'm talking about that he has Stefan Diggs has because Stefan Diggs is getting older too guys
and and you know I this is this is the best chance that Josh Allen is going to have I think
uh you know he had a really good shot last time when they played against uh Kansas City
this is it man this is going to determine a lot for Buffalo I feel um you know I still think
they're going to be a good team I still think they're you know got a lot of good years left
with Josh Allen but this is one of those opportunities those those those those things
that way you have to say I have to take the bull by the horns and I gotta I've gotta just
I gotta defeat this guy of my homes I gotta do it and I feel like that this is that opportunity that
he has but um and let's not forget they lost to the Bengals last year in the playoffs in the
snow yeah I know they you know what they said man that that was so terrible like you know a lot
of people have had Buffalo you know doing something that week and they just didn't show up at home
and they got another opportunity at home against Patrick Mahomes it's gonna be crazy man it's
gonna be something that we're gonna be like everybody's gonna be glued to the seat to the
tv it's gonna be awesome to watch hopefully these bills can do it we'll see we'll see what happens
but let's get to this next game this next game is man the Tampa you gotta go Green Bay Green Bay
oh no no I was gonna say I was gonna say you know I was gonna say fired up I was gonna save
I was gonna save Green Bay but now you're right I do see Lonnie is up in here
we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna do that we're gonna do the Green Bay versus the 49ers
and hey yo look Ripper you tell it you tell you talk to us first what do you feel about this
game yeah so I mean listen it's Green Bay it's San Francisco two traditional historic franchises
two great coaches offensive minds Matt Loeffler Kyle Shanahan but look the 49ers have been
this is what they've been playing for Brock Purdy's looked awesome this season the team has got so
many weapons credit to Green Bay and Jordan Love for an heck of a ending to the season
making it into the playoffs sending Dallas home putting themselves in position for future years
but the game is in San Francisco at the end of the day it's Kyle Shanahan versus Joe Berry's
defense I'm going with the 49ers McCaffrey, IU, Kittle, you know Deebo it's just too many weapons
and on defense they have the defensive players that are going to be able to pressure Green Bay
into making some mistakes I'm riding with the 49ers I mean this is the year for the 49ers
so give me San Francisco oh you know what Lonnie just came on so you know what I'm gonna have Lonnie
go ahead and speak and then uh because I'm gonna tell you right now I'm going to Green Bay I've
seen too much I'll tell you I'm going to Green Bay Ripper because but I'm gonna let Lonnie go
Lonnie go ahead bless us I just want to say the disrespect to Emma Rogers
and Brock Purdy be crazy now all of a sudden now all of a sudden a Green Bay team taking out Dallas
is such an incredible accomplishment when before all year I literally said in half of these spaces
and we all knew Dallas was a first round bust so now yes Green Bay is now three and no against
the Green Bay Packers because guess what everyone just beat them twice but anyway and the disrespect
to Brock Purdy just as crazy talk about Green Bay when Jordan love from 7,660 passes with only 105
interceptions and wins the division then he could talk to me I just feel like at the end of the
day we want to make this is his first full starting year but he had something that I seen
a lot of quarterbacks that were drafted and his year didn't he was able to play and watch
Emma Rogers in the year 2020 and 2021 was suspended and broke his right toe you get
thumbs down if you want to you'll get thumbs down and he had the privilege of learning
sitting back and learning because as we know Brett Favre said he was not going to help him
was not going to teach him and we can call Brock Purdy a game manager that's fine when they was
8 and 0 five of those games was played without CMC and three of those games was played without
Deebo when they first took they first lost after he was 8 and 0 he got them to the point
where they needed to win the game Moody missed the field goal like like was just said they've
been planning for this moment at the end of the day that game comes down to coaching
and Matt LaFlore is one and four when it comes to beating Kyle Shanahan and that part we played
probably because they coached together but I just feel like I just feel like
the NFC North wasn't getting his love when Aaron Rodgers was in Green Bay wasn't getting his love
when he was behind the helm for 17 years he was told this day people say that's the weakest
division and they downsized his talent but now Jordan Love is there now it's just such a
swift changing miracle and everything is and let's not act like if Kirk Cousins didn't tear
his Achilles he wouldn't have made that wild card he may not make it far but I've been watching that
division for a long time and he don't miss a wild card if you watch my page you know I've been
choosing between Brock Purdy and the Philadelphia Eagles for as far as my team after Aaron Rodgers
ends his tenure as a quarterback and um Philly we're not we're not talking about this so I've
got to be feeling so we know who I'm going for and I feel like it's not gonna come down to
nobody on that field to be honest I feel like it's gonna come down to coaching and he's gonna
get our coach we raved about Green Bay winning their first December game because for four years
they went 15 and 0 in December they won one game we haven't heard anything about it since
they won one game in December and I just think that not saying that let me let me not saying
that Jordan Love is not talented and he's not gonna take them far and they didn't pick a good
guy I just feel like you know things that aren't in his control will be against him at the end of
the day because Chase from the Commanders he ain't no screw up you know I'm not saying it's not
gonna be a good game but I just feel like Matt LaFoure is gonna get out coach you know this
this game this game does bring that vibe that is gonna be come down to the coaches
um you know the other two the other three games that are out there you've got you've got really
good coaches don't get me wrong all of them all of these guys are good coaches right but this right
here does seem like it could be one of those coaching duels or one of those coaching matchups
that it does come down to who makes the best adjustments at halftime who makes the best
play designs or who makes the best uh you know time management it does seem like that is going
to be this type of game you know Kyle Shanahan's gonna be ready because that's what he does
but you know what I've been seeing some things from this Matt LaFoure guy too and I get it
hey you know he beat a Dallas team that you know we know what they were but I don't I do agree
with that this is gonna be a coaching duels for sure I don't know what have you been seeing
besides them pushing Aaron Jones and running AJ Dillon to create separation and be able for him
to throw the ball other than that what have you been selling well I've been seeing Romeo
I've been seeing Romeo Dobbs show up I've been seeing Jaden Reed I'm telling you that that's one
of the that is the Achilles heels for this this San Francisco team I will say this they got a
badass defense but they can be had in that secondary and I'll tell you what maybe not right
maybe not this year but they've got a good stable of wide receivers there for Jordan Love you got
Romeo Dobbs I didn't even say Christian Watson I kind of am like about him but this Jaden Reed kid
that dude is a dog he is a he is a dog they call him Deebo Light they call him Wisconsin Deebo
because that's what he does he's that type of player then you got Wicks as well you got you
got the uh Musgrave coming out of the at the tight end they've got some good receiving help
for Jordan Love and they're young so that's the thing can he coach these young receivers up
they've been pretty pretty steady for him for Jordan Love for Matt LaFleur can he coach this guy
these guys up I think that that could be but they're gonna have to get the ball out quick
because you got Nick Bosa you got Chase Young you got hard grove hard graves it's a D tackle
you you've got all of these this big defensive line you got these badass linebackers but can
they get the ball out quick enough and then let their receivers do the work Aaron Jones yeah he
had a really good game last week he owns the Dallas Cowboys he's gonna have a tougher matchup this week
we already know what the San Francisco 49ers do on the defensive to running backs those receivers
are gonna have to step their game up 100 percent I see we got a few hands we haven't heard from
Dee Farrell shout out to him and Hungry Mako will go to them first so Dee Farrell what you
got and then Hungry Mako I think that Jordan Love to win this game is gonna have to be elite
and if the 49ers keep it close with Green Bay they can definitely win the game
because Jordan Love has shown poise and he's shown that he can get certain situations
under control and I know it hasn't been like a great season like all around but
when it comes down to the last part of the season this guy has been playing amongst like
some of the best and I'm not saying like he's a top five quarterback or nothing like that
but he he has been playing really good football and if Green Bay keeps it close they have a good
chance of winning this game but overall I think that the talent is too stacked against Green Bay
in this game so I'm gonna give the edge to the 49ers but I would I always like to see an upset
and by the way um have you gone over the Bucks and Eagles game by chance no no no go ahead shoot
go ahead yeah I got Baker Mayfield winning wait you talk about the Bucks versus the Lions
against the Lions yeah okay okay you got Baker Mayfield winning that one huh oh yeah okay well we'll
go we'll come back to that I thought you were because you said the Bucks and Eagles I thought
you were recapping from last week but we'll give you a chance to come back and talk about
that one in a second let's get to some of these hands uh Ripper who do you want to go to next
home hungry hungry Mako hey what's up everybody I'm gonna I'm gonna try a little reverse psychology
on y'all because watching the Green Bay Packers for the last month of the season has been killing
me it seems like Jordan Love has a wide receiver open I mean and not not just open I mean Nathan
Vasher open in the secondaries it seems like every play I mean that Musgrave kid he was so
wide open last week and I don't want to compare Dallas's defense to San Francisco's defense
because I there's not much of a comparison but Musgrave the closest guy to him when he
caught that touchdown pass I mean it was under thrown he had to wait for it and still the
closest person to him was in the stands yeah just remember they're not going to play Dallas
this week again though well I know that but going like going into the Dallas game I didn't
think they had a chance but all of a sudden Jordan Loves all of a sudden all world Jordan
Love can't do anything wrong I mean he even his mistakes last week were falling in
in a positive manner for the for the Packers I mean they they didn't do anything
that leads me to believe that they are going to lose this game this week so
that's I mean I I think that San Francisco is probably going to I'm guessing that it's
probably going to come down to the last possession and I know that San Francisco's at home
but I just want the fucking Packers to lose I mean can we do that please
all right all right well we appreciate that man hey guys let's get to some of these hands
let's go quick if we can so we can get to this last game because I do have a
show that I'm going to be doing here in about 10 minutes so um let's get to Rob Alfonso and
the NFL draft and then we'll uh close up with the Bucks versus the Lions I'll be real quick you know
one thing that I am good at is getting women hot and bothered but not in a good way so since Lonnie's
here you know I'm just gonna throw it out there you know Aaron Rodgers yeah great quarterback sat
behind Brett Favre for three years Jordan Love great quarterback sat behind Aaron Rodgers can you
hear me okay yeah we can hear you yeah sat behind Aaron Rodgers for two years uh if he makes it to
the Super Bowl and wins it he wins it he wins it in his first year as a starter took Aaron Rodgers
three years so you know Lonnie took Aaron Rodgers too he won it in his second year starting Lonnie
Lonnie beat it he did 2010 went won it you know it was turned into 2011 but it's okay
either way Jordan Love first year starter so if he gets it Lonnie's gonna be be hot because you
know her man and you know took him longer but anyway regardless of all that I just said that
to just annoy her because you know I like I said I get her hot and bothered not in a good way
but the reality is San Francisco is a better team overall but so they should win and that's the
reality of it you know they were close last year and they're they're still good and Purdy's been
playing great so shout out to him but I think San Francisco is going to win so Alfonso I'm rooting for
your team this week go ahead Alfonso okay so uh yeah um yeah I'm taking of course I'm taking the
49ers uh in this game I think this game might be uh a little closer than what people expect uh
I mean I'm giving I'm giving the buyers a little bit of praise I mean because they've been they've
been hot lately so um but anyways yeah I'm still taking them I'm still taking my 49ers regardless so
awesome hundred percent NFL draft and then we'll get to Lonnie and then we'll get to the Bucs
versus the Lions and then Defro we'll let you get your your run off on that one what you got NFL
draft you know so um real quick I think this game is this game is going to come down to
who stops to run and who runs the football the best that's what both these two both these teams take
pride in it's going to be interesting to see both teams are good a great up front talent wise
who shows up who don't yeah no I like that I like that the run game is going to be very
important look we got two really good running backs I mean obviously you got Christian McCaffrey
we don't need to say much about him but Aaron Jones since he's come back from that that that knee
injury he's been really really nice uh in the past game in the run game they've been doing a
good job run blocking for him but this San Francisco 49ers defense is tough against the run
ever since they got chased young they have been really really really good I've been following
that uh since week week 10 when they got out of their bye week they were nice on the defensive
right Lonnie what you got I just wanted to respond to Rob real quick because first off
I won't be mad because tip you know those those receivers that you mentioned Romeo Dobbs and
CJ Watson back in 2020 when Aaron Rodgers won the MVP for back-to-back years he was getting
them prepared to uh to get where they are now I was watching them drop balls so for CJ Watson
to have had the number one regular season passing rating of any wide receiver this season wasn't
surprising to me because he's been preparing for this moment now like we've all been saying
what they're going to come down to is if they're ready to seize these moments because them two
receivers right there I know have been in these two situations everybody else you know what I mean
including Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon as well have been in these situations everybody else you know
it's gonna be interesting to see but them two they lost the game against the 49ers to go to
the big dance but they should know what it's like but they should be ready it's gonna be a good
game again I'm not anti Jordan Love I'm just anti all his Green Bay praise when one of the
best quarterbacks to ever touch the field was playing there for so long and he was diminished
for playing over there that's what I'm anti but I'm not saying that they're not gonna fight hella
hard and Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon are gonna both show up now how intricate they are gonna be to
the their success is important you know what I mean because I personally feel like they need them
to be able to run the ball because you know people don't want to say this but them two
Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love are different so he needs just a little bit more time and his IQ
is going to develop with the years that he has started so I feel like they have to establish that
to get anything going but it's going to be a good game so I'm not going to be angry 100% 100%
all right Ripper let's get to this last game the Eagles in the butts what's your thoughts on this
one well the Eagles are home so they'll be watching the box because the Lions in the butts
you know D Ferrell did that that was D Ferrell you know how D Ferrell I'm blaming out on you bro
not just messing around yeah the Lions in the butts yeah we got a lot of people with a lot of opinions
I love it so I'm gonna keep it real short the Lions are home the Lions already beat up on the
Bucks earlier this season in Tampa now you go to Detroit they won their first playoff game last
week in 30 plus years that is that stadium was rocking it's gonna be crazier this week
Baker's done well the Bucks have surprised this season but Detroit's too much Montgomery
Gibbs the way golf is playing Dan the man Campbell I like Detroit and I like Detroit in a pretty easy
one yeah yeah no I like that run game as well I know that's in your hand NFL draft but D Ferrell
did bring up the game first so I do want to get to him D Ferrell what's your thoughts on this game
Tampa Bay's defense is playing really well I think that they can keep them in a game but
if Jared Goff comes out and they actually put their foot on the gas
they can definitely the Bucks can get blown out for sure like the Detroit Lions all season long
and especially like you know the last the last game I know like it was a close game but nonetheless
in those grinded out games you saw how they came out on top that's all that matters when it comes
down to it and I feel like in all phases of the game they've definitely taken a big step forward
and they just believe in their team and up to where these guys are playing good inspired football
and you see it when they go out in the field I think if Tampa Bay can make this close their
defense can force a couple of turnovers give Baker a couple more possessions I think that
Baker Mayfield he doesn't turn the ball over too much at least this season he's done a better
job with not turning the ball over so I think that he can if he can limit those mistakes
and if the defense can give him some extra possessions with some turnovers I think that
you can see Tampa Bay making it close and even winning this game but I'm picking Tampa Bay
strictly because of Baker Mayfield because I'm an Oklahoma fan 100 percent all right all right
Lonnie NFL draft or NFL draft in Lonnie and then um we'll get Ripper's closing thoughts and then
we got to close it out man uh try to be quick guys keep it out 15 seconds if you can oh yeah
it's gonna be real quick both teams are top five and stopping to run defense both teams take pride
in stopping to run most times they're going to have five guys at the line of scrimmage
it's going to be between who plays the best between Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield
I'm going with Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers I think I think they get the dub okay

yeah uh real quick uh so I'm uh I'm taking the lines okay all right Lonnie what you got
simply put both of these quarterbacks have the power to win or lose these games
if they both they both have tweaked and completely lost games and so yeah they just got to do good
like no interceptions I will say that the Buccaneers do have a bonus by having Mike Evans
he's let uh he's let their team and touchdowns before and after Tom Brady got there and as long
as he don't be butterfingers like he was last week because if you was watching D Pharaoh he was
dropping balls in stride and Baker Mayfield don't even be on point like that so he can't do that
you know what I mean and they gotta stop David Montgomery but in that it should be a good game
between two quarterbacks who literally can lose a game or win a game
all right hungry close us out then we'll get to Royce and then Ripper and then we'll close
out shop all right hungry close us out try to be quick 15 seconds yeah I think the lines are going
to win this I'm I'm looking for David Montgomery to come up big they're running games is is uh
then right on point so and I'm looking for 14 to have a big game too so there you go
