and I'm in my studio efficiency, my tiny ass studio efficiency, the wifey knows what I'm
talking about, with our two cats, and I'm in between calls on my phone doing backgrounds for the apes from there we spend thanksgiving we go to disney world
i i watched the gary v interview where he's talking about goons and again it's not just
the apes it's all these different projects with ips and i'm there and i'm like holy shit this is
this is great for artists artists are going to be able to collaborate with projects
and then they can put out their original work.
And it's like, it's a win-win any way that you look at it.
And I asked again in the Discord, I go, guys,
or I asked the main person running the Discord,
I'm telling you guys this story.

event, the person who ran the Discord for Art Basel, he was throwing an event for the Apes.
And I was like, hey, would it be cool if I do some live paintings there? He goes, of course.

to say no. He's like, no, we're going to do it. And then he goes and he makes a post on the Discord.
And we are in Orlando, Florida, in our hotel room.
And Christine can vouch for me on this one.

I was literally talking, and for some reason, I got kicked out from being a speaker.

When you go on Blubber, sometimes it'll say ETH on the top or whatever it is that you
recently used, but
as soon as you try to
mint, it'll automatically switch you to
the ApeShane network.
The reason why you're not seeing it is because
you're currently connected to Blubber
and you have to go to
the Manage Permissions, and
instead of Ethereum, you need to make sure that you
just click if you just click only ape chain then it will show up um it's because you have ethereum
ape chain solana whatever it is that they have there you if you have all those clicked they're
just going to show you the main one which is eef but all of them should work so obviously ape on ape chain is what you need yeah so i have a bunny
chain and it's basically the only thing i have selected in my metamask wallet you're saying on
blerver i have to select it as well that's just i just want to get that clear yeah so as soon as you
when you when you click mint it'll automatically just accept that uh it'll automatically show the Ape.
I don't know why it does that, but I don't know the easy way to show it.
I know on desktop, I just go to my MetaMask or whatever,
and I change the permissions to allow it so I can see Ape on the right-hand corner.
But I don't know how to do it on mobile exactly.

loved the pfp enough to make uh you know you make uh you like uh kind of get it printed out and put
it into a frame but because of this background

it's because of your your background so i'm doing that man that's love i just wanted to add that
that was the that see that was the point man when we started like when i started doing the
backgrounds you know it's it's really for people just to create more art out of it.
So when you guys do mint this, if you want to put your PFP behind it or have me make a custom one for you, like I'll be more than happy to do that for the community. And again, you guys can make

world. It's just really to motivate and to you know keep the culture and everything moving forward

So for me to have, get really excited for art without any kind of like, you know, this, that, this is the roadmap,
this is the utility. But for me, like coming from me personally, this is really good, man. I mean,
this really sparked something in me. I'm really happy. I'm definitely going to get this printed

we wanted to just see like what would it be like for us to have a community and to get the support
and like i said it's been overwhelming we're eternally grateful uh we're a few minutes away

like, it's very like dear to us too you know what i'm
saying like it's it's for like everyone that that helped us get to like where we're at you know
so yeah man i saw that my dog uh i think he stepped down but yeah man um it's just a beautiful thing
man i think art and life uh kind of go hand in hand. And when you're able to channel your energy
and channel pain and create beautiful things out of it, that's kind of like a way of touching
grass. You know what I'm saying? So I know a lot of people here, we're kind of here in the space
24-7. We could also be like desensitized to a lot of stuff. But it's okay.

creating these backgrounds since 2021 started on the iphone and then moved on to the ipad

that i've done to everyone's pfps but this was the opportunity to kind of reverse reverse engineer that that train of thought of just creating 16 different
categories of art styles and anyone that knows that what we've done since 2021 from the murals
to canvases to IRL events to artists workshops we plan on doing like a lot more creative stuff with with this
collection and expanding you know the big you know bigger things um but yeah we're super grateful for
anyone that's been showing us love anyone that we've done a background for um and if you mint
the collection guys you can make prints of the artwork uh you can you know i've seen people make
stickers and put them all over the world.

Yeah, guys. Right now, I'm talking with blerver right now trying to get
this sorted out um it's they tested it on metamask mobile it seems to be working fine but i know that
you guys are having issues obviously if you delete metamask they're gonna you're gonna need
your seed face to go back in um so one thing that you can do before you do that is to see if your app
needs to be updated. You have to see what wallet and what device is it because sometimes it depends
like if you're trying to go on MetaMask it's better if you open the browser while you're in
MetaMask to be able to mint. If not, I would try
to find some access to like a computer that has the extension already with your wallet. Obviously,
if you're at work, it's going to be a little difficult. But yeah, I'm trying to see if there's
a workaround because I know a couple people are having issues with their MetaMask right now.
It seems to be a MetaMask only issue. I haven't seen anybody else with any other wallet
having issues. So I'm trying to see if I can find a workaround as quickly as possible. Sorry,
guys, that you guys are having this issue. Yeah, so I got that error message too. We were saying
that I wasn't able to do it. And that's what I had to do. I ended up having, but I'm at home,
thank goodness. So I had access to my C phrase, but I had to de-install it off my phone take the app off my phone go to the app store reinstall it
put my seed phrase back in and then I was able to just mint like normally and I should have checked
the update because I have not updated my metamask in a while so that may have you know that may have
done you know fix the bug or whatever
so i should have tried that so if anyone else is getting that issue uh you know definitely try to
see if you can just go into the app store and update your apps um or if that fixes it you know
share let everybody know you know because like you said not everybody is at home and has access
to receive phrases to to reinstall that but yeah i I was panicking too. I was like, what? No, Christy, help.
But yeah, I just ended up having to delete and reinstall.
So in my case, there is no update available in MetaMask
in the App Store.
And I cleared all the privacy data.

when it came to how you got it started
teaching art to students
and them being excited about your background work
and you taking that to Web3.

I mean, I'll be honest with you guys.
When I grew up, I had a lot of great art teachers.
And I also had a lot of teachers that were very difficult with, you know, I always tell
people, like, some of the best teachers are the ones that know how to teach the most difficult
students, because they understand, like, what perseverance is.
And it takes time.
It takes time to really get through to people.
So you may think that people know you, but they only know a
perception of you. And that's why, not that this is overwhelming, but it's like everything kind of
has to be, everything has to be shown in its own time in order for it to resonate. And that's what
it was like to gain the respect of students in those classrooms. So we, a lot of the kids that we taught came from, you know, rough
neighborhoods. And I grew up, I grew up in hip hop, you know, breaking graffiti, emceeing, DJing.
And, you know, these kids were already listening to trap. So it's like, you can't go in
cocky and being like, yo, I'm going to teach you, you know, how I learned hip hop. It's more of like,
where can we meet in the middle? And a lot
of times they started opening up through the songs that we were writing, through the artwork
that we were creating. And, you know, the patterns that you guys see today, I started creating it in
the class with those kids. And those kids, not the adults, but the kids were like, yo, Mr. Rocky,
these patterns, like, I like the graffiti, the letters.
I like all that stuff.
That stuff is cool, Mr. Rocky.
But if we could do more of these patterns and then I literally just applied that logic to the hats that I was painting, the jean jackets, the murals that I got commissioned out.
I painted gyms, barbershops.
This is all before Web 3. This is
just me and Christine painting and then documenting it because we saw people on YouTube. We saw
Iron Lack and all these different graffiti crews. And then Web 3 happened. And then when you look
at IP, I was painting Sonic the Hedgehog at Catalyst, you know, and then I started painting,
you know, the apes like four years, like two or three years later. And the amount of love that
we've gotten from these, from the communities, not just the apes, but all the communities
has been really dope. And then we've always just reinvested, you know, anything we've done,
we're like, all right, cool. We're going to put it into an IRL event or we're going to or we're gonna put it into a workshop we're gonna put into experience so that's kind of what we
want to do we want to build what we have going on but also like collaborate with people
bro we went to that that's fucking crazy bro i'm trying to bring up j vegas my dog
