Definitely excited to get in, you know, to the Pokemon talk.
Maybe rip some packs on stage. You never know.
You never know what's going to go down.
And, yeah, you know, we also have our Chimpers event later today at 3 p.m.
Eastern in the other side, kicking off with their town hall.
It's going to be fun.
I know you had shared recently that one of your first Grateful Shows was actually with
So, you know, it's been incredible to see them build out, you know, over the years in
the space and also the Grateful Show, you know, it's been incredible to see them build out, you know, over the years in the space and also the Grateful Show.
You know, just continue to crush
it over years, to days,
months, to years on end.
And yeah, excited for another great one.
Man, it's crazy. It was episode 45
and we recorded that
September 2022.
So, absolutely wild.
I think it was around
the time that before
or after that shortly
we traveled to London for NFT London
and Chimpers had one of their first
events there and it was incredible
it was great vibe and I bought my
Chimp after that and they've been
building, they've been doing great stuff
also the floor has been rising
so really really bullish about Chimpers
and great to see their avatars on the other side.
But guys, yeah, go ahead, man.
I'm sorry to step in, but I also love the story.
Not many people know it, but I think it was after that show,
I was deciding whether or not to go for NFT London.
And Metazig, our co-host back then, he was like, you need to come.
And it was like two days before the event.
And he's like, bro, if you come, I'll gift you a chimper.
He was a chimper whale back then.
And I'm like, all right, bro, I'm coming.
So I booked a flight ticket and I became a chimp.
I'm still holding that one.
We actually created a chocolate collab
together with Grateful with those with those chips and man this this
is so funny to look back and you said september 2022 hell yeah oh damn yep guys let me quickly
get into that article by kyle um gotta catch them all on ape chain collector's script is launching
a new pokemon pack ripping platform
called Slap on Ape Chain later this week.
Today is Tuesday, so, you know, it's coming soon.
We gotta ask about it.
Charizard will soon be meeting Curtis around the swamp
after Solana's number one collectible capital market
Collector's Crypt announced it will be launching a spin-off dab
on Ape Chain that aims to turn NFT enjoyers into Pokemon trainers.
So that's why we're here today, guys. Really hyped to talk about Pokemon on Ape Chain.
Let's say hi to Tom. Tom, welcome here. How are you doing today?
And maybe Tom is behind the Collector Crypt account too. I don't know. How are you doing, guys?
Hey, nice to meet you guys
so this is twom from collector crypt and we got uh twade i'll let you uh intro yourself
no no sorry caught me off guard because my name's tom as well i think you got behind it but yeah hey
twade um i'm behind slav cash Tom from Collect Crypt account there as well.
Yeah, really, really excited to be chatting to you guys.
Absolutely loving the energy and I really hope I can keep up.
Oh, you can 100%, man.
You can 100%. Everyone kept up here on show.
We're going to pump you a bit, but let me quickly check the retweets.
Oh my God, we have 25.
That's good, guys.
And we have 12 bookmarks.
Squitty is doing a great job. Again, if you have any questions for Collector Crypt, just please
share them in the comments. Of course, everyone here on stage, just raise your hand if you want
to ask something. And let's get into it, guys. Maybe for people who are hearing for the first
time about what you've been doing,
could you give us a short intro about what Collector Crit is about
and what's the difference between you and Slap Lab?
Absolutely. It's really a pleasure to be here, guys.
I remember, must have been early it was was it like mid early to mid 21 um you know i was i was running my uh
my gpu rig and uh and i i heard the the the fans start going crazy on my uh on my fans and that
that was when when you guys were were minting your your your collection so you know it's just a
amazing time to be there watching all of these
NFTs go and get minted in 21.
Oh, you mean board apes, right? Because if it was other side, your rig would be on fire,
I know. I actually have two codas still from the other side that I was able to get in that
mint. So that was pretty cool times. But other other side i think that was the highest gas
fees ever on ethereum for fermenting right uh that was pretty amazing but um anyway i'm a i'm
a long-term collector i'm the ceo and co-founder of collector crypts we've been tokenizing uh trading
cards for four years now uh our primary kind of home is on Solana. And that's kind of where we kind of cut our teeth.
But, you know, we, we believe that interoperability and open
permissionless systems are really important.
And the thing is that we've seen a lot of, you know, trading card
apps pop up on all these different chains.
And I think, you know, if we're going to really go in and convince Web2
to come to Web3, you know, we need to do a better job at, you know, one, providing, you know, the
trust layer, providing authentication, you know, providing, you know, good user experience. And so,
you know, Collector Crypt as a platform is really trying to go in and work with some of the best and brightest that EVM has
to offer as well. And, you know, we found Twade. Twade's one of the founders of Slabcash. And,
you know, Slabcash, you know, Twade's just an amazing, amazing developer. And he's kind of
gone in and built this whole thing. And essentially, slab cache is using collector crypt inventory collector
crypt authentication pricing and trust and the idea is that you know twade could focus on you know
what what he does best right which is build an awesome user experience and do all that kind of
stuff so you can you can think of like our partnership as a way to take the best of both
worlds right because we we want to provide the trust and accurate cards and all that kind of stuff.
And then, you know, Twade could kind of build the experience that he wants on these different chains
and bring the love of Pokemon and other assets to EVM as well.
So this is kind of where we're headed.
Could you tell me, man, how does it actually work,
and how the secure part works that you can prove
that the cards are real?
Yeah, great question.
So we partner with some of the best vaults in the world.
So we partner with PSA Vault, and we partner with fanatics collect currently we have
around 20 million dollars worth of cards between those two vaults and the platform itself collector
crypt owns about eight million dollars worth of cards so our users actually own about 12 million
dollars worth of cards that are all tokenized and are on solana so the way we get cards is a few
different ways so one we have some of the best card buyers in the world.
These guys can go out and buy us.
You know, at one point, you know, in September or October,
we were buying like $2 million worth of cards per week,
which is just a phenomenal amount of cards.
But so the buyers go out, they're all experts.
That's kind of like the primary authentication.
Then those cards get sent to our vaults, like PSA Vault. PSA Vault also does authentication on the cards
when they come in. So essentially it has two touches to make sure these cards are true.
And then the cards get high resolution scans. They get stuck in a vaulting facility that is in
Delaware in PSA's example. And then we get the metadata,
we get high resolution scans, we get all of the information about the card. And then once we have
the card in our possession, we go and mint the NFT on Solana. And in the case of Slabcash,
what we then do is we send our Solana NFTs to a multi-sig wallet that is controlled by Slabcash, what we then do is we send our Solana NFTs to a multi-sig wallet that is controlled by Slabcash on Solana.
And then those NFTs are bridged over to Ape Chain in this example, right?
So, and the new NFTs are minted on Ape Chain.
Their digital twin is in a locked multi-sig on Solana so that, you know, you always have that kind of settlement
layer that's happening on Solana. But the idea is that these NFTs are now native essentially to
ApeChain and anybody on ApeChain, including Slabcash, can now use these NFTs for, you know,
what they're doing. So like, you know, you could go and rip packs on Slabcash. You know, we're
talking to, you know, Yuga and stuff about incorporating some of our gaming
mechanics into the other side, you know, metaverse that you guys are building. And I think it's a
really cool opportunity to use Pokemon as a way to get people excited about real world assets,
right? Because like blockchain is since 2017, when NFTs came out,
you know, NFTs were all originally about,
hey, how are we gonna, you know, what are these NFTs for?
Oh, we could use them as digital contracts
to represent real world assets.
And then a bunch of smart people came and said,
well, you know, let's do PFPs, that's pretty cool too.
And then you see what blew up.
But the original use case was to be like deeds
for real estate or, you know, driver's license, you know, some type of digital contract that you could prove something.
And, you know, I think a lot of effort went into it and nobody wants to like, you know, buy a house with an NFT.
in the, or trillions of dollars in the real estate market, all managed by, you know, people that are
50 and 60 years old, a bunch of boomers that, you know, don't want to change the way they do
business, right? But what we can do is we could go in and say, well, let's do something a little
bit simpler. Let's, if we could do Pokemon cards on chain, you know, maybe next year we could do
real estate or maybe next year we could do legal contracts. These are all things that will come once people get more comfortable and more familiar with the layer of trust and authenticity that we are essentially teaching the world how to do.
So I'll stop there.
I said a lot.
I don't know, Twayne, if you have anything you want to jump in or any other questions for us.
I mean, from my my side it was just really
fortunate i've been a long time um on chain pokemon i got really as soon as i saw them on
chain it made sense for me i don't know if you can tell from the accent but i'm based in the uk
and one of the big issues that we get is there's not much of a card supply so if i'm buying selling
it always has to go overseas which means i've instantly got a 20% markup on VAT.
So what I did very early on was tokenize a lot of my collection,
posted it in, got it on chain, and suddenly I could sell to anyone.
There was no marketplace, you know, a lot of direct fees.
There was, there was pretty much no fees.
So it really opened up the borders.
I mean, I've been collecting since i was
nine or ten going with my dad to local um local shows and stuff and playing little tournaments
and everything so i've really grown up from base set um basically almost had my first midlife
crisis started buying up packs again covid hit had my second midlife crisis started buying pokemon
again and whatever happens i'm just going around in circles buying Pokemon.
So I figured I may as well try and, you know, make a bit of a job of it.
And it's just been fantastic.
You know, essentially when a card gets graded, it gets authenticated by PSA, Beckett, CGC,
one of these well reputable companies.
You get these unique tracking codes.
You've got this Web 2 layer. But the logical step is this Web 3 layer.
And working with Collector Crypt, we have access to this supply of cards
where there's a lot of platforms where it's selling essentially
trust me bro cards.
It's like, yeah, just I've probably got the card.
I will buy it from, so we'll get you the card.
But yeah, the trust that you get from these physically backed,
like Brinks vaults, PSA vaults, or Fanatics vaults, gives confidence.
And there's the whole thing of being able to open, get these cards,
actually have the nostalgia and redeem them.
You can get the physical copy or you can sell it or you can trade it online.
And it just brings schoolboy vibes back um being able to
trade cards so yeah for me it's really exciting i mean the whole gacha machine is the first step
for what we're wanting to do and really bring this idea of trading in a marketplace um bring
it on chain and ape chain seems like a fantastic place to do it. The levels of engagement, the passion in the community.
Yeah, second to none. So yeah, really, really excited to see this release.
I absolutely love to hear this, Matt. And we've hosted many builders that try to bridge Web 2
into Web 3, use the tech, you know, and make actually service better for the customers. And
I think what you guys are doing is 100% example of that, right?
And I would love to ask you just a short overview
about the Pokemon cards market.
Damn, I just see Tom drop down, so maybe he rocked.
So you can just request it, I'll bring you back here.
Okay, he's requesting.
Could you give us a little overview about the Pokemon cards market?
Like, how is it going in 2025?
Because I saw so many friends around me being so deep in Pokemon cards
and actually making a lot of money.
And there were a few approaches.
One were buying packs and just um reselling
those and the other guy and he i think he spent like two million dollars he's here in czech republic
he spent like two million dollars on on the boxes he unboxed unpacked all he grayed them and then he
sold them i don't know but it was crazier i think from what i saw so could you give us short overview
about the market?
And for someone who doesn't know much about Pokemon cards,
what's the best way to start and learn more about those cards?
Because I know after you launch, we're going to get some,
and I would like to know what to do, actually.
Yeah, definitely. I can speak from a Web2 point of view,
and I'm sure CollectCrip can come in on a web 3 side of the way the market's going.
But from web 2, there's been a huge influx in scalping.
So around COVID, I think it got really popular again.
Everyone was kind of in the house and kind of wanted to surround themselves with things that made them feel comfortable
and kind of relive their childhood a bit.
So I foolishly sold very early days in COVID.
And I think the real way you make money with Pokemon
is by buying, forgetting about it, and then getting lucky.
Kind of how meme claims worked a couple of years ago.
There is definitely a case of people going out scalping,
buying lots of the supply in the boxes.
I mean, you can see recently there was Kabuto King
who's kind of artificially manipulated the market
by buying a lot of single cards,
but also building up a lot of hype around it.
And that kind of happens with sets.
There was the Van Gogh exhibit that released rare promos,
and I had like a few of those PSA'd.
And they were worth maybe like $400 or $500 each early days.
And then look the other day, it's now $2,000, $3,000.
And it is just this concept of getting these sought after cards,
your Pikachus, your Charizards, your promos,
and then just holding and just holding on.
And crypto really does that well because you've got this platform
where you can hold it without a worry that your dog will break in and
eat your cards while you're not looking or something will happen it's in an air-conditioned
room it's in good supply it's got security it's got all of these things so there really is a lot
to be said around around the crypto storage but i see the market just going up and up it releases
new sets all the time there's always chase cards and it's changed from the old days of pokemon where you just have hollows um and you'd get maybe one charizard per booster box it's moved much more
towards the one piece concept of you'd need a booster case to get these super secret rares
so the chase cards are getting harder to find so prices are going up and people are clocking on
and there's such big speculation.
So people are very quick to buy and stockpile.
So it really is such an interesting market.
Yeah, I'll add to a little bit about what Twaid was talking about.
So just in terms of numbers, our analysis suggests that the total assets in the trading
card space is around a hundred billion dollars right
now so uh you could compare you know sports car sports cards pokemon cards magic the gathering
all of these things to like the the total size of the meme coin market you know it's probably bigger
than meme coins it's definitely bigger than the nft kind of like total asset value that's out there
than the NFT kind of like total asset value that's out there.
And there's around 25 to $30 billion per year of trading volume, right?
And this trading volume is done, you know, a lot of it goes through eBay, a lot of it
goes through Fanatics Collect and PSA, and a lot of it is done at trade shows, right?
So you go to these shows and people, you know, swap them over the counter and all that kind
So it's a lot of different places where people trade.
And the big institutions there tend to be pretty extractive.
So the idea that Twade was saying that, hey, you go and buy it,
and then you have to hold on to it for a while and forget about it,
that's also driven heavily by the amount of friction that's in the space.
So if you're selling a Pokemon card on eBay,
you're going to have to
spend a lot of time up front to make that post. Then you're going to have to collect payment.
You're going to have to ship it out. You're going to have to hope that the recipient doesn't defraud
you. There's this kind of scam going on now where people get a card and they put it into AI and
they say, okay, Grok, can you make my card look like it got
destroyed in the mail?
And then they send that AI altered card to the seller and they say, well, all right,
this card came and it was totally trashed.
I want my money back.
So that's a new scam that's going around.
It's kind of crazy.
And then, of course, the seller pays 13% transaction fees to eBay.
So all of this kind of stuff sounds crazy. But, you know, and then, of course, the seller pays 13% transaction fees to eBay. Right.
So all of this kind of stuff sounds crazy.
Like if you're going to go in and say, all right, I want to invest a million dollars
in the Pokemon, you know, you're going to be dealing with a ton of fraud.
You're going to be dealing with a ton of time and work.
But once it's on chain, you know, you don't have to worry about the fraud if you're working
with a platform like ours.
You don't have to worry about, you know, transaction fees because right now on our marketplace, you know, we're partnered
with Magic Eden on our marketplace. The total transaction fee is around 4%. But actually,
it's interesting about 90 to 95% of the trading volume happens in our Discord, right? So again,
we're trying to take back some of that childhood stuff where you could go in and trade over the counter with people and we we probably have the
most poppin uh you know collectibles discord on the planet uh for one piece and pokemon right now
and people are doing over-the-counter trades every single day there and uh you know we're
actually going to be introducing a swap feature to make that trustless as well. It's not trustless right now, so please be careful.
But actually, I think out of probably tens of millions of dollars of over-the-counter trades,
I've only heard of one case where somebody got ripped off.
So I think that's pretty interesting to tell you about the quality of the community that's there.
In terms of our platform, we essentially launched our vending
machine about 12 months ago. In the last 12 months, we've sold about $250 million worth of
packs to our vending machine. These were all done at a positive expected value. And through those
sales, we've generated somewhere between, say, 15 or $20
million in net profit. So to say product market fit, to say, this is just a short-term trend or
something is not real. Anybody who is looking at these numbers is now thinking, okay, we've kind of opened up
the real world asset funnel now, and what else can we do and how can we build on top
of this, right?
So I think that's, we're kind of in this really exciting place there.
And that would be the question I would ask right now.
So we are in this place and where are we going from here?
Yeah, great question.
So, you know, some of the things that we're experimenting with,
we're experimenting, you know, other types of assets.
So you'll see us start to get into more sealed product this year.
You're going to see us get into other IPs like, you know,
Legos and, you know, Labubus and some of these kinds of things.
We're going to open up our own vaulting facility.
So, you know, our vaulting facility is going to be able to not only hold all of our assets,
but also the assets of our partners, right?
And so we're going to slowly try to turn ourselves into, you can think of it like the Amazon of
Web3, where, you know, people can come and use us as a bridge and a trust layer.
And essentially, you could go in and sell through our platform, sell tokenized assets
through our platform, and we'll handle all of the logistics and fulfillment.
One really good example of that is you guys all know Moonbergs, I'm sure.
We were the platform that did their launch for their blind
boxes on Solana. We sold 70,000 blind boxes, netting $1.7 million in revenues. And we did
that in 24 hours. And now we're shipping those blind boxes out through our partners and all that
kind of stuff. And that's just been a phenomenal experience because, you know, you can come in and your brand can go and reach your
users and you can kind of find other ways to engage with your audience. So, like, I think
the world is going to be moving that direction. I think there's a lot of hype around Pokemon right
now. So I don't want people to go and think that, oh, everybody's going to do blind boxes. These
things are amazing because, you know, frankly, most of them aren't amazing right but the but the
question is the strong brands and the strong teams that are out there that could create a good product
that their users and ecosystem want you know we want to help support those guys to to reach their
audience and in you know advanced you know level up ways.
I might ask, so who is your customer? What would be a profile or your normal customer?
So our primary customers now are people
that are essentially Web3 native, crypto native.
These are people that really enjoy collecting. A lot of them are,
I'm sure, board ape holders. We have a bunch in our chat. And these are people that don't have to be
necessarily convinced on the value proposition. So you might have a dude in China who's really
interested in collecting basketball cards. It's not easy to do if you're in China, right, who's really interested in collecting basketball cards,
it's not easy to do if you're in China. Like, what are you going to do? You're going to buy stuff on eBay. You're going to pay 6% foreign exchange fees. You're going to pay shipping and
handling for each card that you ship. It's going to get stuck in customs for two months.
And then at the end of it, if you get defrauded, like it's two months after the fact, you can't go
to eBay and say, hey, give me my money back. They'll say, oh, dude, you should have returned that a month ago. Right. So, you know, we kind of unlock a lot of,
you know, global barriers and we eliminate a lot of friction, both logistics as well as financial
friction. Right. So these guys can go in and build a half a million dollar collection of
Pokemon cards, you know, really enjoy the value of what they're doing. And then of course, like some of these guys, like I was going to say last year, depending on like which
segments of the market. So I think you had a lot of like modern and mid era grails. Like you could
think of like ponchos, you could think about some of the limited edition kind of promo cards that
were printed over the last, you know, 10 years, those have done extremely well.
Like the value of those things has probably 3X to 5X in the last 12 months.
And then if you go to vintage, the one that everybody loves to talk about is the PSA 10
first edition Charizard, right?
We're seeing auctions and we're seeing pricing posts of like half a million dollars to even
$600,000. And we're hearing whispers from our buyers that, you know, private discussions are
happening where they're pricing these things up to a million dollars, right? So, and that just last
year was trading at like 150 or $200,000. So the, you know, the whole kind of like pokemon sector is just kind of going through a an evolution where
trading cards are becoming more of an investable asset and if you think about kind of like the
marketplaces and the traditional rails to do that you know you don't you don't think of ebay as like
your brokerage account right you know it isn't, and it's not meant to be, right?
But we're trying to go in and make it easier, faster,
and safer for people to come in and buy and sell cards.
And that's kind of what our bedrock is,
is trying to make things better, faster, cheaper
for people in the space.
And by virtue of doing that,
we allow people to enjoy their hobby
and enjoy collecting more than they would have otherwise, because otherwise you're dealing with all of these costs
and you're dealing with all this nonsense just to be able to go and look at your card.
I love collecting, man. I cannot wait to collect on ApeChain.
And talking about ApeChain, I see Simple Farmer's hand up. So guys,
before I say hi to Simple Farmer,
I have to share the code.
And 17 of you already got it right.
Or maybe even more.
Let me quickly refresh.
Oh my God, 20 of you got it right.
It wasn't rocket science, right?
The code for the badge is Pokemon.
Yeah, it's the second word in the name of the space.
P-O-K-E-M-O-N.
Go to op.xyz forward slash claim and get your badge today with kind of pokemon theme so get that badge guys also retweet the space and simple farmer
welcome here how are you doing today go ahead bro hey gm gm guys just want to come through and
welcome and congratulate collector crypt and slap cash coming through
the ape chain super excited i told them from day one that this is one of the best places they could
possibly have their platform live that we are the collector chain we are the nft chain and i think
that this is a match made in heaven not to mention everything that can happen the other side so once
again guys welcome um and i also wanted to say because we are such an NFT-heavy community,
we do have great NFT infra.
And that includes a trustless OTC desk for trading NFTs peer-to-peer.
And since those Pokemon cards are NFTs you can trade peer-to-peer,
we'll be whitelisting the Slabcash NFT collection,
which is the Pokemon cards themselves on clutch marketplace so you'll be
able to trade your pokemon cards with each other in a trustless on a trustless platform so bless
up guys thank you grateful let's go let's go and i i also saw the announcement i just click on the
link um and that's uh yeah you announced it just four minutes ago guys that Slabcash is now live
with $50 packs that reveal real authenticated PSA graded Pokemon cards on ApeChain which is so cool
I want to do it I will collect it but guys let's talk about the experience that you're bringing
to ApeChain what can we expect what's gonna happen what can we collect uh can we actually make money
on ripping those packs i know you talk about collecting i have to ask here of course yeah
no absolutely so um with the fluff that it runs um there is a little comparison platform called
gacha.buzz and this will be added to there in well tonight in the next couple of
hours um so with the cost spin or well a cost unpacking sorry of 50 uh the expected value that
you'll actually pull from the pack is just over 56 we've made sure that with this being like the
inaugural pack on ape chain um we wanted to give the best kind of expected value that we possibly could.
So every time you unpack a card, it will have an expected value of $56.20, and then you'll
get an instant buyback offer of 85%.
So if you don't like the card, then you can sell it back instantly to ourselves at 85%
of the insured value.
So if you go on and you pull our chase
card, which is a shadowless Charizard from base set, that would be an instant insured value of
$1,725. So just with a little bit of maths there. So you could unpack for $50, instant buyback offer of $1,450. So you can definitely make money back.
The odds are displayed just underneath the carousel.
So 80% chance of a $30 to $60 card being unpacked,
and then a 20% chance that it's above $60.
And then 1% chance of that card will be between $250 and $2,000.
And we're going to be constantly updating the cards available in the machine,
constantly updating a few different areas around that.
So we'll be adding more grails as people start pulling cards out.
We'll be adding more and more in.
So please, yeah, feel free to dive in. It is live now.
We've just had a message from someone in our community saying that some of the images aren't working right, but if you connect your wallet, connect to ApeChain, should start coming through perfect.
So yeah, that's just slab.cash slash chain slash ApeChain. That goes straight there. But if you're already connected to ApeChain, which let's be honest, you should be, as soon as you hit Slabcash, you're going to go straight there.
And just to clarify as well, we're using USDCE, which is the bridged USDC token.
There's a helpful link at the top if you want to swap tokens into USDCE.
But you guys will know what you did.
I'll pass back over.
Yeah, I think we can use Glyph to swap, right?
Or bridge also.
I saw also the tweet from ApeChain account
that this new function is there, which is dope.
And Collector Crip, I see your hand.
Yeah, thank you.
Just wanted to talk a little bit about
kind of like the gotcha packs construction
and that kind of stuff,
because it's a very interesting phenomenon, right?
Like you ripping packs and yeah, I mean, you rip a pack, there's a chance that you're going to lose money on it, right?
There's also a chance that you're going to get a massive hit, right?
So we're trying to like create an experience that is similar to, you know, opening up packs of cards.
similar to, you know, opening up packs of cards. And, you know, one question that we get a lot is,
hey, if you're giving a positive expected value and you're charging 50 bucks for $55 in value,
how does that work? And the way it works is, you know, let's say you go in and you say,
I want to buy $1,000 worth of cards, right? So you're going to go and open up 20 packs.
If you don't buy back the packs, like if you just keep the cards, you will be
getting, you know, $1,100 worth of value, right?
Essentially the 10% bump in the EV that we have.
The way that we make money is that people don't really want to collect a
bunch of 30, $40 slaps, right?
So if you put a thousand in, you'll get some rares.
Hopefully you get an Epic card, like the top tier card that Twaid mentioned.
But you're going to get a lot of $30 cards, right?
And people typically do not want a stack of $30 cards.
So the way that we make money is on that 85% buyback.
So essentially we give 10% on the front,
we take 15% on the sellback,
and then the blended kind of profit per pack
that we typically get is around 4%, right?
So what Twight mentioned, that website
that keeps track of all the different kind of like
expected values and how much profit
that the platform is generating,
that's a really useful tool to go in and say, okay, how does this compare to some of the other
digital platforms out there? And how does this actually work? Because maybe I put in five and
I get five comments and then I feel like I got wrecked and you say, well, hey, you said it's
positive expected value and I lost a hundred bucks. And yeah, that'll happen.
But the point is, if you are disciplined, if you go in, some of these cards might be mispriced on
the up or the downside. So if you go in and you think about it and you get into it and you keep
cards, the whole point here is for you to keep cards. And if you keep cards, you can buy
these cards at market price or under market price anywhere in the world. And that's really our
vision. Our vision is not to be a slot machine, a gambling machine. Our vision is to be a gamified
shopping experience. And there are ways to have positive EV and get a lot of cards out.
But the first step is to keep cards.
So I would encourage you guys to think about what cards you want to keep,
what you're shooting for, and make sure you keep some cards.
That's how you do well.
Yeah, I'm just checking all the cards, man.
It's wild.
The pictures or images, they started to work.
So it seems that everything's fine.
And I will swap my...
I will probably not swap Ape
because I'm, you know, holding Ape
because actually Simple Farmer,
he promised that by May Ape will do 10x.
So I'm keeping my Ape,
but I will swap the ETH into USDCE on Ape Chain.
Where's Simple Farmer now?
I have it in DMs. No, I'm kidding.
I'm kidding, guys. And I will get
some packs because it looks great. It looks great.
And damn, it's so good.
I love collecting. That's the point, right?
I love collecting sneakers.
I love collecting NFTs.
NFTs on Ape Chain.
And I can imagine, as you mentioned before, right?
Because it's digital, the whole experience in the other side.
And we have Machiavelli here from other games.
Imagine we have other games and one of the rewards is, let's say, Pokemon Pack.
And you can basically give away that pack in the other side.
And people can, like, rip it live in the other side so it brings
different experience that was not possible probably before and that's that's great
no yeah super excited to see what we can do with other side like even just having an arcade machine
in there that simulates a similar experience and just being able to do it all there.
Yeah, really, really excited.
And it's great to see the spins.
I've just unpacked.
I've just been seeing some coming through.
Starting to get quite a few uncommons.
The Blastoise from Dilly Dilly there.
That's very nice.
And the Pichu, like proper vintage takes me back.
So, yeah, I'm going to be pretty much watching you guys live now
and just living through you guys.
So yeah, keep it going.
This is awesome.
And yeah, thank you again for inviting us on.
I brought Simple Farmer back.
Simple Farmer, do you have any questions
or you want to add anything?
No, I'm trying to get my Pokemon cards here.
NGV, see your hand. Go ahead, man.
Yeah, I do want to add.
I pulled an uncommon full art Charizard PSA 10.
Is that better or worse than Dilly Dilly's pool?
Please just say better even if it's not.
Definitely better.
Definitely better.
Thank you, guys.
Are there Tabutos in here?
I've actually just seen a mythic Dilly Dilly's back on top.
I'm coming back in.
Don't worry.
It won't be for long.
One of the other things that I wanted to mention right now,
it's all slabs that are in there.
So these are the graded cards.
But in about a month or so, it's going to start having a lot of sealed product, both a sealed product that
is out of print. So we're talking about like, you know, sealed boxes of cards that, you know,
those boxes might be worth a few hundred bucks or a few thousand dollars each. But also what's
really important for us, because there's a lot of negative press around
scalping and all of this kind of stuff, we're going to do our best to source new print sealed
product as cheaply as we possibly can. I mean, we're not a distributor. We don't have a local
game store. We don't have direct distribution. So we are going to be buying on the secondary market
some of these products, but we have really good relationships, right? So our idea is that, you know, wherever you are in the world, you'll be
able to, you know, efficiently buy sealed product through these vending machines as well as through
the markets. And, you know, you could build your sealed collection like that. And if you are,
say if you're in South Africa, you know, it doesn't make sense to ship six boxes to South
Africa. That's going to cost a lot of money. But what you could do is you could hold onto it in
your account and allow that to appreciate in value over time. Like sealed product, you know,
you see a lot of this stuff about Pokemon being one of the best investments in the world,
you know, over the past like 25, 30 years. And it has been, it's beaten S&P 500, you know,
hand over fist for the last 30 years.
And sealed product is a really big part of that.
So we're going to try to bring as much as we can at efficient and fair prices to Ape Chain.
You know, one thing that I really love with all this, and this is a DeFi nerd in me,
this means that, and especially because of this collection, like after you get pack you have that nft right that represents the card this means for the first
time when these cards are listed on secondary we will have the pokemon card ape coin pair this is
the first time ape coin has been paired with a real world asset ever that's awesome obviously
yeah we have the abtc we have APUSDC, we have APETH.
We've never had ApeCoin paired with a real-world asset.
So for me, I feel really good about parking some of my assets that are on ApeChain in these cards.
And like you said, just letting them chill there, because I do have that question.
Say, what is the process and how can we feel guaranteed that when we come back three years down the line, we can still claim our physical card here?
Yeah, that's a great question.
So, I mean, we work with some of the best vaults that are there.
You know, we're based in the United States.
So our software development company and our founders are all U.S. based.
You know, our terms of service essentially says that you guys own these cards, we don't own
them. And so at the end of the day, if three years from now something happens, we all get
knocked off a plane, you still own those assets. And it's going to be a process to go and get them,
but there's nothing we can do aside from breaking the, aside from breaking the law, like, you know, people can break the law and steal.
You know, I'm on my second career.
I've had a very successful career as a biotech entrepreneur before that.
I'm doing this for fun.
I'm doing this for passion.
And I want my kids to remember me as somebody who did something important.
So, you know, that's what I'm sacrificing
with my reputation and integrity
if I do anything stupid like that.
I almost just swallowed my talking.
I apologize.
I didn't mean to interrupt.
Yeah, no worries.
But I just did my poll while you were doing it
and I pulled a 2023 number 67 Umbreon PSA 10.
I spun the gacha pong for for $50, and I can
instant sell it back to you guys
for $194. I can just 4X
what I just made just selling this back to you
right now.
There's so many
levels to this activation, holding the
cards, keeping them, the chance to get
a much more expensive card than you expect, and
valuable cards. I just love
everything about it.
That's awesome.
Yeah, and maybe, Twade,
if you want to take them through
how to redeem the actual physical card.
And this experience is going to evolve
and grow over time,
some of this cross-chain kind of activity
that we're planning,
but I'll let Twade talk about
how to actually get the physical.
Yeah, for sure.
So we're currently working on, you'll see up at the top, a portal link.
And that's going to make this a much more seamless experience.
So it will essentially connect Collector Crypt on Solana over to Slabcash on Air Chain and any chain that Slabcash is set up on effectively.
chain and any chain that Slabcash is set up on effectively.
So it would allow you to collect on Slabcash and then bridge
any cards over to Solana in a decentralized way.
So you'd have full control of your assets.
And just as equally, you could bridge them
over from Collector Crypt over to Slabcash
without the need to pull from the gacha machine.
And although this isn't the most appealing concept at the moment
to bridge from Solana to Ape Chain, the new functionality
and logic that we're looking at in things like the marketplace,
lending markets, effectively all the things that Web3 decentralizes
that could benefit RWAs, real-world assets and Pokemon cards. That's what we're going to be focusing on.
So at the moment, as a redemption process,
you can find the My Slab section up in the top right under your user,
and then you can just select a card and trigger a redemption.
It will effectively burn the card on Ape Chain, we get notification and we send all of your tokens
over to Collector Crypt.
Collector Crypt can then handle the redemption process, actually get it posted out to you.
So I can pass back over to Collector Crypt for how that stage actually works.
But we've worked with a number of our users who've taken, some have taken just, you know, their grails that they've unpacked and kind of give it pride of place in their collection.
Some people, it's more, I think someone took 30, 35 slabs all out at once.
And they just wanted to show their friends who were coming over and visiting, you know, got expedited.
They got it all shipped and received and just received it directly and,
and essentially built a full collection, which is something that's hard to do.
Like, especially in the UK to come in, not really have any cards.
I could buy a bunch of raw cards from shops, collectors, and I can go send them all to PSA.
It takes about 45 to 90 days, depending on their workload.
So I get them back three months later. It takes about 45 to 90 days, depending on their workload. So I get them
back three months later. Prices have all changed. I paid 20% on bringing it in. There's the risk
that cards get lost, which I've had before. And it's a headache. You could spend the exact same
amount on actually buying from traders, as Tom said, in their community on Discord.
There's so many active traders kind of going back and forth and secondary markets.
So we're also up on OpenSea and on Magic Eden.
So if you're actually wanting to sell your cards in a secondary market and not just take the instant sale,
then, you know, you can start listing your cards.
You can start showcasing them and building those communities and transactions there.
So it's, yeah, Web3 offers so much for this experience,
but there is something nice about holding it in your hand
and holding that slab actually in your hand and seeing the card.
So, yeah, whatever tickles you like, you can do it.
Simplify, Murray.
So your hand before.
Go ahead, man.
Wait, I just want to ask you a question.
So I know that Slab is a partner, but also I know you guys don't have a token.
Is there any chance that there will be a token in the future and that us participating in this platform could be contributing to that?
Don't mean to put you on the spot.
No be sweating wherever he's listening from.
Yeah, it's something we've considered.
The only thing is, so from previous projects, there's a really solid team behind this.
It's not just myself.
I'd love to claim all the rights for that.
But, you know, we've got a really solid team behind us.
And the majorities have worked in project floor
down before and other projects that have been down orientated
like, you know, back in the day, everything was down, you've got
a token, you do this. We always had a passion for Pokemon. We
wanted to bring this technology on chain, we wanted to see if we
could do it BC, how far we could take it. And we're still really
driven by that. And the second you put yourself as a token,
your project can die overnight if somebody,
if people sell that token or don't see the long term vision.
And we were a bit worried that launching a token early days,
as some other protocols have done, if it didn't sell out,
you're kind of dead in the water.
If it did sell out, suddenly you'd
be holding to people who maybe want
to tunnel vision your aspirations and your protocol,
your product.
And yeah, a little bit scared by that concept.
It's not written off.
And we are looking to reward users.
So anyone that's been participating and unpacking
cards, you'll see from the notifications that you're getting points and amassing points and that will come up to a leaderboard and
we're looking at how we can reward our users that that's absolutely true potentially not with tokens
per se from our side but you know rewards there and i know collector crypt have their token cards
on solana which you know not financial advice but i've been monitoring it watching it's
been doing incredibly well and i think there is definitely room in the real world assets and the
pokemon real world assets especially communities for those tokens that's my long-winded way of
trying to avoid the question but um hopefully it answered a little bit and shed some light as well
yeah and if i could give some uh just some perspective on our thinking around the token, you know,
we launched Collector Crypt, you know, about three years ago, you know, the actual protocol
about three years ago.
And we never spoke about the token until we were 100% sure it was going to happen.
And even when we started speaking about it,
people were saying, oh, how do I farm the token? How do I do this? How do I do that?
And I think that's kind of the tunnel vision that Tway is talking about, right? You want to build
a user ecosystem and a user experience that is held together by the passion of people who are
actually using the product and collecting
what you're doing if you all of a sudden go and say like hey we're going to launch a token in two
months here's the five things you need to do to get get an airdrop right that i think that's
community destroying um it's a great way to raise money um it's a great way to get like numbers and
metrics to show off to centralized exchanges and to show
off to VCs but I think you know personal belief I think that game is done right I think airdrop
farming I think all that kind of nonsense is you know it we should put that behind us and I think
we should focus on you know product market fit real real revenues, real engagement, and real enthusiasm for the platform,
and figure out ways to reward that through token launches. And so I know I probably stepped on a
bunch of toes there, but that's how we felt about it. And we even still call our airdrop platform,
we call it a non-drop. And we make no promises. We don't tell anybody when snapshots are taken.
We try to make it extremely hard to game our system.
And really, the only way that you can benefit and participate
is to actually love collecting cards.
Let's go, guys.
I'm ready to unpack now.
So I saw Dilly Dilly killing it, I see Gatsby there.
So I think it's time for me guys.
So let's do it here live and let's see what's gonna happen.
I'm just clicking, I'm just clicking sign.
Yeah, it's gonna be Charizard, 100%. Unpacking.
Come on, rare. There was rare. I missed the rare one.
But, so I, oh, open again.
So I have a Umbreon VMAX.
v max is that correct well it's a cool one it's a nice one uh
Is that correct? Well, it's a cool one. It's a nice one.
2021 holy smoke that was smooth that was smooth oh my god i i gotta come back guys
i gotta come back so you see those cards oh my god this is addicting yeah and i see more people
getting those packs that's really cool
that's really cool guys definitely check the pin tweets uh you can you can find how to join
the platform and we have many people here on stage guys anyone any questions uh
just raise your hand or unmute and go ahead yeah i just want to say one last thing before i go just
because you know it's obvious.
Some people, but some people it's not.
And I think, like for me,
I didn't even know what a gacha pawn was
just because I'm just a numbers defi nerd
and I don't keep up with culture enough.
But there is so many interesting things to this activation.
Don't forget, every single card you're getting,
click that little link, go on Magic Eden, go on OpenSea.
It's an NFT in your wallet. You can list it you don't have to no offense to no offense to slab or
collector crypt but you don't have to resell it back to them potentially you could resell it back
to another collector on ape chain as well through the secondary marketplaces too so there's so many
possibilities with this keep that in mind i appreciate you grateful and thank you uh collector
crypt twade cash I appreciate you guys
Let's go, let's go legend anyone here squid emacavally gets be dojo any questions
I'm on popping unpacking one right now, bro
Yeah, I'm exciteding one right now, bro. I'm just excited to see how this differentiates from all the other things going on right now.
Because it's such a booming business, right?
So there's got to be that differentiator.
And I'm excited to see for myself.
I'm definitely going to go and grab a pack just to grab a pack and support the cause.
Definitely going to go and grab a pack just to grab a pack and support the cause.
Anyone that comes on the Grateful Show, I'm going to try and show support and show some love for taking your time to come on to this wonderful space.
But I'm excited to see what that looks like and what the sustainability is and how it separates from the competition.
There's a lot of people getting into the card game right now, and I know i'm wishing i'm wishing the best of luck
i know you mentioned that the buyback is one of the things that's going to help make money
the ev is something that's important as well it can't always be 100 ev then there's no way to run
a business right as you guys obviously know that and we saw back in the day when you know like look
at nba top shot right like anytime you opened an eight dollar, you know, like look at NBA Top Shot, right?
Like anytime you opened an $8 pack, you were guaranteed to make at least like $40, $50 back.
That was never sustainable.
So can't wait to see.
I'm appreciative that there's more awesome builders coming on Ape Chain and building here and giving people on Ape Chain more options.
I think the correlation to real world assets on Ape Chain, that being the first time, is an incredible milestone.
So congratulations to the ApeCoin team.
And congratulations to you guys for being part of history there.
And I hope that I get a Pikachu.
fuck charizard i'm a lightning guy baby no thank you just from outside for farmer for reaching out
Fuck Charizard.
I'm a lightning guy, baby.
early days and kind of showing us really really well on the hn community and you know just he
really sang crazy he's got us on boarded helped us out with any questions we had from a dead
point of view and yeah really really crushed it he's a huge nerd he's a huge nerd and a great
salesman it's a perfect company lethal combination represents us well we love we love simple former
when i've just seen some fantastic compacts uh japanese 1997 real vintage gengar holler from um
someone without an ens name but vi as. Got a pristine 10 Charizard.
Okay, guys, come on, I've got kids to feed here.
Stop pulling my good cards.
I also brought Honeybee.
Guys, whenever Honeybee joins,
he's the best in spelling the code for the badge. So go to op.xyz forward slash claim.
Check the art, it's absolutely amazing. And the code for the badge so go to op.xyz forward slash claim check the art is absolutely amazing and the code is pokemon uh honeybee welcome here can you quickly spell it for people
in the audience and then if you have any questions go ahead pokemon p as in pretty please o as in oh my god K as in ketamine
E as erectile
M as in mommy
O as in oh my god
that's what your mom said
It is always the best part of the show bro
how you doing
and do you have any questions for guys here on stage?
Any questions?
No, I'm here to rip some packs, motherfuckers.
Are you kidding me?
I love Pokemon.
I grew up on that shit.
I live for it.
I continuously play.
I used to play Pokemon TCG or not TCG, BGC.
So the online like video game championship,
which is like two on two battles.
If you've ever played on Nintendo.
That's the official league, by the way.
So if you don't play the cards, I definitely
always play the actual 3D
game. And it's fun.
I love Pokemon. I'm excited to
rip some packs here.
I love to hear
that, man. The experience is
super easy to buy. It's super easy
to see the cards you got. It's's super easy to buy it's super easy uh to see the card you got
it's also super easy to get uh usdc.e so guys check it out i love it i love collecting you
know i've been collecting sneakers for a long time but the biggest problem with sneakers is that they
take so much space it's insane so that's why i i love the nfts because you can collect a lot of
things and basically
they are stored digitally or physically in some other location than your house uh which
is safer and also much easier to do so yeah um guys anything that you would love to share or
that we might forget uh to ask you oh honey you know I was like do you have any
questions no I don't I'm collecting and now he has a question
go ahead man go ahead go ahead
I was thinking because you really know a person
when you ask them what their starter was
you know what I mean so I'm kind of
curious for everyone on the stage
who was your starter Pokemon
Charmander
Gras is always
Which game?
Squirtle all the way from me
Like if you go to our discord
You'll see my
My PFP in the Discord
is one of my beloved PSA 10 McDonald's Squirtle cards.
I think it's one of the most unique arts ever.
So Squirtle all the way.
Honeybee, I will answer...
Probably you cannot remember because you're too young,
but back in the day when I had my transparent Game Boy color,
there were a few editions of Pokemon game right in there.
And I think one of them was Pikachu, the yellow one,
and the blue one I think was Squirtle one.
That's the one I had.
And the funny thing is that the Game Boy still works.
I think it's from 1998.
So 10 years before you were born, honeybee.
But it still works and the game is still safe there.
Oh, it worked.
And you guys use like fossil fuels to like power.
I'm kidding, I'm kidding, bro.
But so my answer to your question is Squirtle, man.
That's absolutely the best Pokemon ever.
I ain't gonna lie, I think Squirtle got the best choice here.
He picked Bulbasaur, the most meta Pokemon in all the competitive Pokemon, I'm just saying.
For me, it's Pikachu all the way, man.
It's such an iconic character so that's uh i i'm here for icons only in the only in yellow
only in yellow pikachu's not a real starter pikachu's the goat and i want to collect
the pikachus of course i want to collect them all pikachu ain't a starter
Of course, I want to collect them all.
Pikachu ain't a starter.
Guys, I don't know how much more time
actually guys
have here, but
I have to say one more
very important thing here.
Yeah, that's all I wanted to say.
But, oh my god, we have Hype, another legend from other games, so I quickly bring him on stage because I know he's been collecting like crazy.
He's probably one of the most insane collectors in Web3.
Hype, welcome here! Do you have any questions for Collector Crypt or Slabcash?
questions for uh collector crypt or slab cash
no i'm just excited man i mean you know this is this is past my my generation but i love ripping
packs so you know rip away brother rip away i just came up here because of aqua and we're just always
on top i love that man aqua aqua uh top. And I have to also ask
Twait and Collector Crypt here, guys.
Do you have any Ape Chain NFTs?
Oh, my God.
I have a personality
that is not doxxed.
I'm totally doxxed on this side.
And so I never want to cross contaminate.
You know, I've done some podcasts about why.
So yes, I do have some word apes.
I do have other side NFTs.
I mentioned I have a couple codas.
And those are ones that I pulled out
of the Deeds.
So just to, you know, if I have a couple of CODAs, you probably have an understanding
of how many Deeds I also have if I didn't buy those on the secondary.
So I'm really excited to see how this continues to grow and see how the partnership with other
and Ape continue to evolve.
But what about ape chain NFTs?
No, I don't have any ape chain NFTs.
But I guess now I have a stick to go and get them.
So I'm going to go and get them.
Get some gobs, g's, Fisters, whatever you like.
We have an amazing community.
a lot of those NFTs
are coming with Avatar
so that you can use
in the other side,
which is really dope.
but I love that you have
like alter ego
that no one knows
who is that,
You own those apes there.
That's incredible.
I think that's awesome
and that's another great thing about Web3, right? So, big apes there. That's incredible. I think that's awesome. And that's
another great thing about Web3, right?
So, big shout out to you.
If you have three codas and you pull them from
the other side,
man, I minted four and I got
one coda. Then I bought like 24
more deeds, but
to actually pull the coda, you had to
get a lot. So, let's go.
Love to see that. Twayne, what about you, man?
Never had one myself.
I've never been as up on PFPs.
I kind of get one and stick with it.
I've got a noby toad at the moment.
But back in a previous role, we worked with NFTX and Floodow,
and we went through a lot of the other deeds side of things
and looking and holding a lot of those.
So I feel like I've been close enough to nearly touch them,
but never been fortunate enough to own one myself.
But as Tom said, maybe that has to change now.
Guys, absolutely thrilled to host you today. Is there anything that
you would love to share or how people can support you? Of course, one of the things
how to support you is to buy a pack, but is there anything else how people could help
Always helps, but in all honesty, it's just great to connect. I've been trying to follow
a bunch of people that have joined this call just to interact and keep in touch and keep track of what projects they're working on.
Like it goes both ways. If people support early on, I'd love to see what everyone else is working
on just as much. I'm a builder at heart, so anything people are building gets me excited.
Yeah, and I really appreciate the opportunity to ask for help.
I've been in blockchain since 2013, started mining Bitcoin then, was in Ethereum pretty
I think we have an amazing opportunity now.
There's been a lot of this kind of meme coin stuff that has just, you know, really wrecked retail, you know, and that's primarily on Solana, which is, you know, our home.
And I think we, with RWAs and with Pokemon cards, we have a really amazing opportunity now to go in and try to re-educate the world, you know, on the benefits of Web3.
on the benefits of Web3.
And so all of you have friends that are not in Web3.
All of you have relationships and things.
And I think in my conversations with non-crypto people,
educating them on what NFTs mean for real world assets
and talking about Pokemon,
I think it's a very easy way to kind of highlight the strengths
of blockchain technology. And so, you know, what would help us immensely is to just get the word
out, let people know what we're doing and, you know, just educate, right? We want ambassadors
and we want education. And through that, it's going to lift all the boats.
Maybe I have one more question, guys.
Did actually official Pokemon brand launch any NFTs?
They acquired a company that has some technology that could do stuff with NFTs, but it's an interesting story, right?
So Magic the Gathering, you know, for those of you who love Magic, I'm a big Magic guy.
That's how I got into collecting cards.
Magic the Gathering had MTGO back in the early 2000s, right?
And that had non-fungible tokens,
essentially, on their platform.
I mean, you could trade and buy and sell cards
on Magic the Gathering online with other players.
And I think that was kind of like a really early attempt
to go NFTs.
And if blockchain had been around then,
I think Magic the gathering would
have used that technology um you know after that there was a game that came out i'm blanking on
the name you guys all know what it is but it's like a it was a free to play game and yes you
could buy packs and stuff but you did not own the cards right so magic the gathering you had the
cards and you could trade them this this other game, you couldn't, right?
And they were getting a lot of users and a lot of traction because it was essentially free to play up front.
And then you could go and build your collection over time.
So the business model for the card game was a little bit different.
magic essentially moved away from the model where you can uh you know redeem those those digital
objects for physical cards and started to support more the magic the magic arena format which i
agree is better for new players but i i think and and pokemon is kind of doing the same thing like
pokemon's games are are kind of free to play um and you could go and build your collection by doing challenges and stuff and it's
you're not really able to trade these cards
on the platform anymore
so I think it's
going to be hard for them to reverse
that pivot
at least hard for them
meaning trading card game companies
to reverse that pivot and I think it's
going to come down to new
TCG products like Pudgy Vibes
with Spencer and those guys over at OCAP Games.
I think Zuki, you know,
they're going to kind of lead the way to, you know,
bringing some of these technologies on chain.
And then I think if they do really well,
Pokemon and Magic, you know, Hasbro will follow.
But they need leadership.
Absolutely love that, man. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, guys. Good luck.
Guys, check pinned tweets.
We have everything covered there, so you can
go there, click that. It's amazing
art that Wood actually
created for you you it's awesome
uh and good luck uh can't wait to see more people what they what they get i i see someone got a
let me go into the elampo uh got pikachu in the comments uh so share the cards with us guys share
with us in the comments what you got uh i wanna want to see it and I will get back to collect a little bit more.
Because I wanted to start collecting Pokémon cards in 2025. I didn't get many, so maybe this is the way how to actually start.
Tino, anything from your side? No, but while I was talking about Pokemon, my son already came, he heard me and he came here with his album and was trying to convince me to buy some packs.
So I'm trying to figure out how to swap the USDCE.
And of course, going down the rabbit hole very soon, I guess. He's now playing a lot of Pokemon Go.
And it's very funny with this small,
like the little guys, the small generation,
that, you know, for them,
basically buying something virtual, digital,
it's the very same as buying something physical.
So for him, a really cool backpack
for his uh trainer in
the pokemon go is exactly the same as he was rocking that backpack himself and that's for me
the the most uh bullish sign ever so man uh all the best luck guys uh i really love the platform
i'm i really love you came to ape chain and i think uh this is uh the the chain of
collectors as uh as was said previously so let's catch them all let's do it yeah thank you so much
again and yeah please do if you get anything good share it if you get anything bad he'll share it as
well uh tag slab underscore cash um tag me tag everyone Yeah, I'd love to see what people are getting.
Let's go, guys. Thank you so much.
Had a blast.
But guys, we're not ending because we have other games team here
and we got to be talking what they've been cooking and Machavel is here.
He wants to share some alpha with you.
So big shout to you, Collector Crypt, collector crypt uh twaid guys if you have any
questions for them hit them in dms uh you know if you if you want to do some call up whatever
uh that's always the best way how to hunt how to connect with our guests and let's fucking go can't
wait to see what you guys get because damn this is real shit guys this is real shit so love it
and can you know maybe you can display those
cards in your other side home right i can imagine i'm building a house in the other side
i was really thinking about building house from stranger things that vecna um actually or little
henry lived uh that would be really dope and have my Pokemon cards on wall you know, on the walls there would be
would be really lovely, so we'll see
but again, thank you so much for joining us
and now we're gonna get into the
other side with
Machiavelli and other
other games
team, I also see Chespi here
Chespi, you wanna add anything?
Welcome here, I kinda missed you
because of the orange background.
Miss you too, bro. Miss you too. Bro, no, before he goes, I've been trying to buy as much as I can,
but I don't know what to transfer. It says $50, but do I pay with my car? Do I pay with ApeCoin?
Can someone guide me those oranges do you see those oranges i bought it within five seconds aquamarine on top baby hype he was like man i'm spending
thousands of dollars so dope pokemon orange come on stage and they're like what is what is usdce man
i don't know bro i'm asking bro i love that you ask Because this will help so many
On Ape Chain
That's why
Every excuse I have
To actually grill Orange
I'll use it
You know it JSP
Even I love you
But NGB go ahead
NGB please
I know you're an alien
And you're not from this earth
So you know
Maybe you missed it Maybe you can't read. I don't know. But it's very, very simple. So there is USDC on Ape Chain. It is it was bridged and brought over to Ape Chain via the Stargate Bridge on the slab cache website under the Ape Chain selection. Sorry, my slack is going crazy right here.
website under the ape chain selection sorry my slack is going crazy right here um there is a
banner on the top of the screen that says swap for usdce this will take you directly to camelot
and allow you to swap ape or any other tokens that you have directly to usdce you will need
50 in usdce for one slab pull, one slab rip.
So yeah, I mean, you could either bridge.
What I did personally was use Relay, took some ETH,
turned that ETH into ApeCoin, then went to Camelot to turn that ApeCoin into USDCE.
And like I said, the direct link,
so you don't need to put in the contracts or anything,
is on the Slab Cash website right at the top.
It says swap swap to usdc
All right, so all right, perfect so I need so I need to do the
so I need to do that right like
Transfer my ape coin and then after that I just go to camelot to transfer into the usdc one, right?
Correct. Yeah, if you already have ape coin onoin on ApeChain that you want to use,
then you can just go straight to Camelot, swap to USDC using the link in Slabcash,
or just go to Camelot yourself and type it in.
It's pretty user-friendly, and then you'll be good to go.
All right, perfect.
Question, does there's any promotions promotions for people device a lot
i like that guy i like that guy that's a great question uh i'm not aware of any but you know
i would say keep your eyes peeled you know uh slap cash in the collector crib they're cooking
you never know what they might have up their sleeves uh for the real dgens
all right thank you, bro. I appreciate it.
I just want to say
it's my first time collecting
Pokemon cards since I was a kid.
And it's been a
great experience. I've already pulled a bunch of
cards. I probably spent more than I should,
but I'm enjoying it.
Banter money?
Pooh! Into the Pokemon cards.
Yes, essentially.
Before I run, I do want to say that we keep track of,
because we have a ton of data,
we keep track of Pokemon price indices
internally, and Pokemon
had a big run-up
when we launched our cards token in September because
we were buying so many cards and some of our competition was also buying a ton of cards.
So we actually pushed up the value of the Pokemon market by around 20%.
And then it kind of slowed down. And from like October through December,
we gave back around 15% of that return. But from middle of December to today, I just
checked the Pokemon market that we track, which is the 100 most liquid Pokemon cards is up 9%
in one month. So it looks like things are turning around right now for the Pokemon market,
especially with the Pokemon 30 year anniversary happening in a month or two.
So it's going to be a really exciting year for Pokemon.
And I know last year was incredible in returns,
but this year is looking like it's going to go
and take off as well.
So we're super excited.
Damn, I was in the DMs.
So, love it.
Also, Hypeman, what's the best way to actually check the real value of cards?
If you want to check some super rares and what's on the market?
Oh, yeah, that's a great question.
So, in a month, we're building our own pricing oracle.
So in about a month or two months, you'll be able to just drop in the number onto our pricing oracle,
and it'll give you what our estimate of prices.
It's actually a really, really hard and interesting problem.
I mean, any of you guys who are machine learning AI people,
I think you'd appreciate it.
You have some cards that trade very frequently, right?
So you have high pop cards that trade very frequently that a lot of people have.
So those are okay to price.
The ones that are hard to price are cards that in their grade combination,
so like think of like a BGS 8.5 card that might have only 20 copies of that in the whole world.
That card might trade once a year, right?
So how do you price that? And the best way to do it is with like graph neural networks and some
other type of machine learning tools that we're doing. And so in about a month, we'll have a
really good solution for that. But right now, probably the best thing to do is just learn how
to use some of the platforms that exist, like alt.xyz. You can type in and it's free, right? Alt.xyz is free. You could
type in the cert number of the card for PSA or BGS slabs, Beckett slabs, and it'll show you
kind of like what the recent trading history is. And there's a menu that you could drop down to
look at the grade. Do not rely entirely on the suggested value. That's where a lot of people
make a mistake because they
see, oh, alt says this card's worth 200 bucks, right? So it's got to be worth 200. What you
want to do is you want to look at the recent sales history on eBay, which alt will show you,
and kind of make a judgment. Just say, well, okay, there's a few trades of this card that happened at like $175, $180 that happened last week.
Alt is saying $200.
So it's an approximation, but it's probably closer to $185, right?
So you have to kind of get familiar with the system.
And probably the best way to learn is to jump in our Discord, jump in Slabcash to Discord, and just ask.
Just say, hey, bro, what's this thing worth?
And we both got
a lot of people in there that'll that'll help you out awesome we'll do that uh we'll we'll get into
the discord after the show and check it out man really hyped again thank you so much for sharing
all the info guys share the cards with us in the comments i want to see those gets me share those
you pulled i want to see those uh
because this is really exciting and it's so easy right like uh we can also easily share the cards
and see uh what we what we got which is so much easier than the physical one oh my god i see dojo
oh someone pulled aqua worth 8 000 what you talking about dojo where's do Dojo? He was here before. I'm sitting here watching the polls.
8,000 cards!
Someone pulled an Aqua worth $8,000. That's crazy.
From the $50 pack?
Who was that? MF1.
Raise your hand.
Raise your hand right now.
Bro, to be honest, I've been reselling
because I'm eager to get a mythic.
You know, I'm a degen. I'm trying to get that rare shit.
Yeah, that MFR, he played a lot of Ape Church.
I realize this isn't banter, right brother? It's chill.
It's not banter.
Banter and finance my activities.
You can actually hold the cards, bro.
You don't need to flip it, okay?
Damn. I love that.
I love those cards. Guys, again, thank you so much.
And let's get into other games.
And Machiavelli, he DM'd me like,
man, I have the biggest announcement
of 2026 so far.
So I can't wait to hear it, man.
Yo, thanks for building me up that way.
I didn't actually say that at all.
It's the biggest announcement in other games' history.
Yeah, bro, that's exactly what I said.
No, man, you know, since we've gotten to the Nexus,
since we began this journey as a Voyager into the Nexus,
you kind of get in there and you're kind of placed in this world and you're given this story from this one point of view.
And then, you know, of, you know, Blue and Curtis coming into the Nexus and saving it.
And, you know, it's just you're kind of then you're just there.
You know what I mean?
And you go do Challenge Island.
You can go play soccer.
You can go to the Kota Temple. But it like, it's all left up for interpretation. Right.
And so when we started doing the law, the, the, the, working on the lore and talking with Colin
and Santisi and doing the lore bubbles, we'll be doing another one of those very soon. You know,
it really just stuck in my head that like, yo, I wanted to create something, create a story,
create something that like kind of encapsulates everything and brings it together. And so we, I wrote the chaos trials and we are as a group,
other games we're, you know, honeybee made the video fucking, you know what I'm saying? Like
phenomenal, uh, masterpiece video, but we've kind of created this story that kind of like brings it
Kind of like brings it all together.
all together. And I'd like to read that story to you right now, for those who'd like to listen.
And I'd like to read that story to you right now for those who'd like to listen.
This is called The Nexus Chaos Trials.
The fall of the Nexus begins in silence.
Deep within a dim chamber of the other side where unstable energy hums amongst ancient tombs, Kota relics, and alchemical vessels, Red sits alone at a work table, his hands hovering over a pulsing knot of chaos energy.
Thin arcs of lightning
dance through his fingers and chaos bends and reshapes itself at his will his expression calm
and almost bored as if the power before him was nothing more than a passing curiosity as he rises
to his feet the chaos spreads outward wrapping around his body like a living lightning the air
vibrates the floor fractures beneath him and and the resistance fades, and his control feels absolute. Yet the illusion of mastery is short-lived. The glow
grows harsher, the energy lingers longer, and the violent chaos light outlines his forms and threads
itself into the very core, slowly consuming him from within. With a single motion, Red opens his
hands, and the room erupts in a blinding flash visions
collide in rapid succession as a nexus once radiant with soma energy cracks from within
streams of blue light in soma are violently flushed out and torn away from surging chaos
while structures collapse portals implode and ancient glyphs shatter in midair at the center
of it all red floats fully consumed a living conduit of chaos
as the balance that held the other side together collapses the destruction does not stop with the
nexus sacred coda relics artifacts meant to restore and stabilize what was lost are seized
by chaos one by one they are drained corrupted and swallowed by violent chaos currents until
there are no longer instruments of salvation but fuel red takes them all leaving behind only
ruins and silence but then then the light cuts through the devastation as a voyager pierces
through the chaos ridden sky from it emerges blue and curtis carrying the last remnants of order and
resolve they confront red at the heart of the destruction and through the clash is brief and
immersed chaos meets resistance soma meets
shadow and for the first time red falters driven back by the uh combined forces red chooses not to
fight but to vanish as he hold on yeah yeah red falters okay my bad i'm sorry i lost my paragraph
i had to they confirmed okay driven back by the combined forces, Red chooses not to fight, but to vanish.
As he retreats into hiding, he unleashes the final act of defiance, scattering the stolen relics and resources across the deepest and most dangerous regions of the other side, releasing them behind chaos trials.
Islands fractured into existence, floating platforms suspended over molting voids, frozen deep pierced by unstable chaos beams
and arcane chambers etched with forbidden sigils each one a challenge each a trial each a test
each relic's locked behind danger and deception the nexus is reclaimed but it's not fully restored
soma energy flows once again weakened but alive and the other side survives fractured yet hopeful
scattered across the world lie the keys to true restoration,
waiting for those brave enough or foolish enough to face the chaos trials.
While red is gone, but chaos is all but patient,
this is only the beginning of your journey, Voyager.
Let's go, man. I kind of felt that red is orange.
But it's red, red right what do you mean
i'm kidding i'm kidding i love that man well you know it's like it's it ties together the
entire situation you know what i'm saying like it gives a reason why all of the challenge islands
exist you know what i'm saying it gives a reason to go to the challenge islands to like, you know, you know, compete for, you know, more than just XP.
And, you know, I wanted to add some type, like he said, yo, go crazy.
If you can create a storyline and a lore that attaches things, do it.
And we feel like we did.
It's great, bro. I love it. And with lore, you can play so much more, right?
You can do,. I love it. And with lore, you can play so much more, right? You can record it. I think that would be dope.
You know, we're in the Nexus, and it focuses around the Codas and the Voyagers, and the Voyagers are something that were created by Codas.
with the Kratos trials, like while we're telling the story of Kodas and Voyagers restoring
the Nexus and, you know, all these different things, we can create mythos and tales and
like really put some substance to why we're in the Nexus and why it exists.
And like, while I just feel like that truly doesn't exist yet, you know what I mean?
Like while they haven't released the lore Bible and stuff and they leave it up into
and they leave it up into interpretation.
interpretation, they said, take a crack at it.
They said, take a crack at it.
And this is the crack at it.
And this is the crack at it.
You guys are absolutely killing it with the other side.
It's absolutely crazy.
Other games on Saturday.
Oh my God.
Such a great fun games.
It was so good.
I somehow won again, which is wild.
I don't know how that happened, but it was so much fun.
You actually did win this time. And yo, shout out to you for, you know what I'm saying,
giving the prize to the number two, you know what I'm saying? That was very, very kind of you.
Yep. It wasn't good lesson for him because I told him if you are not the first, you're the last,
so you don't deserve the prize but I gave it to him anyway
because I won because of him
so I don't know what the prize is
but send it to him or send it to me
and I will resend
it was so much fun
and it's so cool how every games are different
and basically you don't have
how you can customize it
you can build your own
experience your plot Like you don't have that much how you can customize it, right? Like you can build your own experience.
Like, I mean, your plot or your own game.
We can only use RPG.
We can only use role-playing and direction.
It's so good.
And you know what?
Like, I think we found a real niche, like being able to continue the games and be creative and stuff like that.
And like, you see all the other teams trying to move in that direction too.
So it's kind of flattering and it's super dope.
Bro, talking about role-playing,
like Tino did like role-playing
like nine months ago, man.
And now he's expecting a kid, man,
this month.
So role-play is sometimes also dangerous,
Hype, I see your hair.
He actually entered the room as a mutant.
Let's stop it.
Let's stop it.
I don't know, man.
Hype, I see your hand.
Go ahead, man.
I mean, there is an underworld on the other side.
You just got to try it, brother.
You just got to try it.
No, I was going to say, yeah.
No, what Mag's doing is great.
I think, you know, having another opportunity to do different things
like we always try to do is be creative in the space is really cool.
So, I mean, I'm excited for tonight.
And one thing he didn't mention is he's tapping into a new ecosystem, right?
We have a lot of people that are participants,
but probably on this other side of the world
that never get a chance to really play games with us on Saturday
or even attend some of the other games that are held throughout the week.
So I think the fact he's doing it late night, you know, for, for those,
unfortunately for those on the East coast and some for the West coast,
but at the end of the day, it's, we got to start tapping into other,
other regions, right? So whether it's Europe or Asia,
I think it's a good opportunity. It's a real good,
let us test to see the response, right? I mean, if this is active,
it keeps going and persistent and, you know, whatever,
then we'll see participation, which great right so but i think the fact mac and and dino the team
that are helping him out do this on a different time zone i think it's gonna be really cool to
see so hopefully we'll see a ton of people come out tonight from our ecosystem that's usually
attending on saturday but to see no new participants will be really cool so yeah no but what i want to
mention real quick grateful grateful is, um,
speaking of what Max said about like diversifying, um,
as some of you guys know, some of you guys attended last night,
we did have a first Monday mocktail in the clubhouse last night.
So it was a really good turnout for the first one, uh,
with 28 people show up from the, from the community, um, apes.
And so it was really cool to see actually got to meet a lot of new apes.
To be honest there
was a few that i've seen run through the other side and a few on the timeline but to actually
get to meet them and spend some time so we did about an hour and a half meet at the clubhouse
inside the basement um we had obviously some representation from from apco and i know loss was
there uh i know baron came through at the end but either way like to see you know 25 plus apes show
up and hang out and get to know each other and just
have just a conversation right network talked a little bit about last year's ape fest and and how
it kind of inspired a lot of us to get together to some things that people are working on so you
know again every monday uh 8 p.m eastern in the clubhouse in the basement uh we'll be doing a
monday mocktails so if you got time anybody that's's an Ape, 48, Muni Ape, come through.
So that'll be every Monday night.
Epic. And you guys also
doing the Chimpers experience
today? Nope.
Oh, no, no, no, that's Hype.
I mean, not Hype.
Yeah, NGB, Lost, ApeCo,
and I think they're doing
what Chimpers did, I think, Meebus last week,
so I think it's every other week.
I don't know if Spanish is still up here, but yeah, that's Apeco doing that.
So yeah, but again, it's good to see a lot of days being filled up on the calendar where
it's, again, persistent, right?
That's the key is that we keep this going.
You know, when we first started back in late July, early August, it was like just us doing
it, but it's good to see more participation, people taking the taking the reins and doing stuff right and so hoping to see more people do things like bubbles and do their
own version of whatever they feel like they can do right because at the end of the day one thing
i looked at right grateful here's the thing i know it's a different type of environment right now with
what's in the nexus and what's in the swamp but two weeks ago i was having a conversation with
somebody in the space and i said look our kids if you have kids teenagers specifically right in some cases you know as
friends they gather through school and then after school they usually what dm each other and maybe
get on a call maybe do a zoom but how cool would it be for you know kids friends to get into a
bubble private bubble after school and just be able to hang out in an environment that's completely
different from what they're used to i mean they play fortnite they play you know minecraft and whatnot this is
what i'm going to do is try to tap into my daughter her friends see if they can you know start going
in there and i said you know to be safe just start a private bubble invite your friends find out their
names and just invite them into a private bubble and just start having conversations in there right
i mean they do it anyways so just try to take it to a different social experience
that's amazing to hear that man i think we accidentally put a m'lady in there yesterday i swear to god it was an accident m'lady or your lady no he wishes it was his lady i'm a lad
i'm a lad we're gonna call him actually there will be a lady today i'm currently cooking up
something right now i may or may not bring Jigglenomics
Into the game
Did you say Jigglenomics?
Jigglenomics
Jigglenomics deserve to be here
That's all I'm going to say
Jigglenomics deserve to be here
We're missing out on something
On the other side
Also it's like We have to break out of this eco-chamber of ours.
We really do.
I feel like while we're very prevalent on Ape Chain and all that stuff, and everybody knows – I feel like this is a tap market.
You know what I'm saying?
And I feel like everybody in the other side who's doing events is all viding for the same people's attention like on a constant basis nobody is trying to
really break out and go reach out and do other things or reach to other communities and really
like harvest new attention new participants and stuff like that and i and and we we're gonna
make it bro no matter what like come hell or high water
yep no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no I think you're back
No, I just think we need to try new things
You know what I'm saying?
And like everybody fighting for the same people's attention
And stuff like that
Like it's not
You can't go
You can't move forward that way You know? And so look forward like we got d yo d gods is the most
minted avatar that's ever been on op.xyz and a lot of those were new participants from the solana
ecosystem and stuff like that so you can expect something there and like you can just expect like
a different variety of communities and stuff but we need to be welcoming on a chain you know what
i'm saying like put the hate away put all Ape Chain. You know what I'm saying?
Like put the hate away, put all the BS away.
You know what I'm saying?
Each one, reach one, teach one,
tell them about your projects,
tell them about your avatars
and everything that you have available.
Gain that new participant, that new community member
because they want that.
You know what I mean?
And so it's, you know.
Honeybee, real quick.
So just so you understand
grateful this this example of d god so honeybee tell tell everybody what happened as soon as the
d gods are dropped in that discord with people asking about other stuff but first i go into the
discord and they're like it's funny because a lot of them like low-key were a little bit of a haters
they were like what the is this blah blah blah like other shy okay that i think some of them
did mint back in the day.
And they were like, damn, bro.
I spent two weeks, I guess.
And they were like fighting it for a little bit.
And then they were like, okay, hold up.
Okay, so how do I do this?
So I'm in the Discord educating them.
They all get on.
And there's a group of them.
They all finally get in.
And tell me how, instead of being like, wow, look at the world.
Look at everything.
The first thing they do is they see a couple of avatars in front of them.
Like Bored Apes and fucking like night gliders and shit and they're
like wait what are those how do i get those immediately first thing it wasn't even like oh
wow look at the world it was like wow look at these avatars look at these skins bro like how
do i get those so again you have to i think kind of to like reframe a little bit of macaveli's
thing it's like our focus is at least for other games it's like we're trying to grow the pie entirely right like so we're going
out we're gonna go out to Solana and we're gonna hit up the crypto native people of course but
that's our proof to then go out to web two brands and be like let's bring in retail motherfuckers
as well right and we see that what others it's it's trying to align with other side as well
right like they're doing the Amazon deals they're doing all this other shit.
And we're going out to get these people, bring them in.
I think as a community that we've all fostered together,
your job and our job as well there
is hosting these events and keeping them entertained,
you know, and keeping them,
giving them the best welcome
and inspiring them and telling them like,
hey, here's a tool, try this, try this, try this,
you know, like creating collabs, et cetera.
And then from there, as we grow the the pie everyone inside who's been here early that's why you're early that's why you're gonna win because now you get to capture that you're
catching everything you know what i mean so other side is simply inevitable yeah and we need that
too right i mean between between the front us you know we're we're doing our work to go out there and like tapping outside our ecosystem like without getting into details you
know over the next month or two the plan is to bring over seven to eight prominent solana
collections right into the other side and today that example honeybees mentioned it's for them
to go through and experience obviously for them to onboard and and see what other side's about and
and help grow that ecosystem.
But also some of these guys will start looking at ApeChain NFTs, start buying into ApeChain
and into the ecosystem, right?
So it's going to continually fuel the engine and thrive, right?
So that's kind of our goal.
That's been kind of our goal since they want us to continually grow.
But even what Max said, like, you know, we are tapped out, right?
Let's be honest, elf in the room honest we're at 200-300 persistent people
in this space on ApeShade
so our goal is to bring more people in
and to bring them to ApeShade
so we're going to continue that mission
and we're going to continue that starting tonight
That's incredible man
and I think other games are
incredible
experience
and I think your business model can be
also for these new collections
that you got on board
like be the first experience that their
communities have, right?
You can showcase the other side, you can
you know how to do it because you've
already learned what works, what doesn't work
for so many
you know, other games that happen in the other
side, so I think this is the best
for the community, like, you know, you have people from Sol the other side. So I think this is the best for the community.
Like, you know, you have people from Solana who have 100 MFs there.
You show them what to do.
So they just don't go one by one into the other side
and figuring out what to do, right?
So I think that's awesome.
I think we should enter the...
We should do a video, something like a jackass
or a movie like a jackass,
because I think, you know, Honeybee Hype, Machiavelli, like, we are all cool on video, something like a Jackass or movie like a Jackass, because I think Honeybee Hype,
Machiavelli, we are all cool on video, right? Oh, Alo, he could play football there,
and with his dislocated knee, that would be so good. We would get millions of views just on that.
So if we do Jackass Ape Chain Edition, guys, I think we got it we got all the attention
and then we bring those MFers into the
into the other side man
wait till you start seeing Gspot's
IRL videos you want jackass
you know Gspot right he'll do anything for
content so just wait and see brother
he's doing it all
yeah one of us is focused on IRL
activities right now he's
he's having some fucking fun.
I'm not going to lie.
Make sure you guys don't like his post where he's.
I'm telling you.
I'm not kidding, man.
Yo, if you catch, you might just catch us all in Alabama very soon.
Doing a really quick, you know what I'm saying.
Turn around.
It's got to be a banger. Like, we can tattoo a QR code on on on G spot back man, you know Whoever scans it will
The temporary tattoo. Why does everybody always got to go with the straight the tattoo god damn it of a cure
Bro, like come on man
No, no, you gotta elevate bro
NFC chip on the ass on forehead on the side of your dick and then you
just like yo slap that ass and you literally get a fucking nft you know oh my god that's six seven
on my face i tattooed a six seven on my face we're giving out free money just slap it as and then you
actually do get free money yeah it gets me taking notes right now as we as our onboarding though we
ask you for one favor brother just one favor from from
the team and i'm gonna say for all four of us as we start onboarding other communities please do
not win everything we just want them to have an opportunity and chance i appreciate that brother
that's i'm talking to toga i'm talking to dino pawns this is part of the reason we recruited
them and so they stop playing because it's a terrible first experience if the first time you
go you don't even got a
chance bro actually dynopause but it's paying me so i don't play those games so we can be first
uh and it was nice toga wins every single like either toga or dynopause win every single landing
race like whether it's a flight or whatever it is it's always them you know what i mean and it's
kind of like i was at the games this past week,
and I was just kind of like, eh.
Not our games, other games.
And I was just like, ah, okay.
So it's like the same across the board.
Like I'm seeing the consistency across the board.
You know what I mean?
And we need to break out of that.
You know what I mean?
Like it's not fun for new participants.
It's not fun for people who want to come and grow
or think that they're also competing.
So just something to take into consideration.
That's why I'm banned.
Fortnite games.
I think that's why we lean towards social games where it's like a lot of it is you have to socialize and like talk, right?
Like to sync up.
You had you and Rob Scott.
Like you guys were.
I was like, we're batting twerking, but let's see what you guys do.
And you guys did like the gargant answer, some shit like that like that right like that's that's not skill based but it's like very
luck dependent so then anyone can play that and it's like it's just more drama more fun you know
versus skill i think trying to remove as much skill as possible for a new player is like the
best way to to onboard them i was really lucky that the other dude was from hawkins so uh i
immediately saw the the emote that was breakdance and we got it both correctly. That was great, man
You both were breakdancing before it I was convinced you guys were in a fucking discord
No, man, I don't even have this I have this cobay I don't use it much so and by the way
I'm still banned from your discord. Can you send me a link so I can join please?
Are you sure I don't know man. I'm not in your discord bro like
Some orange MF I think it was just people's like man. I'm sending you link and it was some you know
Yeah, I know that's why he probably sent me a wrong link man. Yeah, he's alien. So that's what he
But you can send me the price anyway, yeah
Share with us quickly what's next for other games this week and during the weekend guys
Can you give us some alpha so the chaos trials begin tonight and they will be weekly on Tuesday evenings?
You know I'm saying 11 a.m. Chinese Standard Time, CST.
And then, you know, of course, we have the other games on Saturday.
But, you know, Honey Bee and the boys are cooking some new type of experiences and trying to evolve this thing of ours.
So we look forward to that.
I don't think we can say what they are because I know every single person in this room is going to be like,
how the fuck are they going to do that?
And really, that's the sauce, baby.
Sometimes you got to keep a secret to the sauce.
And also, guys, maybe another question.
How can... Okay, two more things.
Let's start with my personal shill.
That's an important one too.
Because you mentioned that we need to get out of Web3, right?
I kind of started, again, grinding my Instagram account.
And my goal is 1 million impressions in 30 days, which is not that much.
Like, I did it a few times before because Snoop Dogg shared a few of my stories.
And I did it in one day,
basically, but it's not going to happen probably this month. So if you can follow me, guys. Yeah,
I have a secret name. It's not Greatflap. That Instagram also exists, but I don't use it for
content. Go to BoredApeGank. That's an OG Instagram from summer 2021. I think I started
that maybe even before or at the same time as
official board ape account. It was insane ride, guys. I really was getting thousands of followers
a day, hundreds of DMs every day. The content was on fire. Everyone was curious about what to buy
and so on. And in the bear market, like the numbers went down, but now it's time to bring it back
and so on, and in the bear market, like, the numbers went down,
but now it's time to bring it back
and showcase the Web2MFers what's going on,
and if you can follow me and sometimes share my content in your stories,
if you have Web2Normies there, that would be amazing.
So BoredApeGank, it's PFP with orange background.
Fuck, such a mistake, but I cannot change it now.
So go there, give me a follow share
the share the content in the stories um yeah i'm i'm trying to push it as much as i can right now
because with other side i think that's gonna be perfect content um to share there and with games
and everything that's gonna be happening there it's gonna be a banger so that's one of my ways
how to do it i know frosties he's been cooking on
tiktok and he's been trying to actually do some views there so but with other side and everything
will be so much easier still trying to figure out the 3d uh video from my ape haven't found any
any tool that would be perfect or at least 70%. So yeah, Machiavelli,
When are we going to do the grateful show in a bubble?
Like we did those,
you did those few bubbles.
When are we going to,
we have to do that.
The grateful show in a bubble and get everybody in this audience that
regularly shows up to show up in their avatar and we can have a little fun
in the other side.
Not only do we do the grateful show and we bring on the guests and
everything,
but at the end we have a little fun for some ape and stuff like that you know what i mean
like i think that that would be uh super exciting 100 let's do it and my question actually to you
guys was how can people support you how can people help you what would help you right like how can
you grow bigger because of people here in the audience uh i don't know
i think that a lot of people are already doing that that we have we get a lot of support from
this community and stuff like that but it's also reaching outside of this community like
even if you just have friends that are cross-chain it doesn't cost them anything to get signed up
and get into here and then some of these avatars like silly music stuff you're talking about dirt
cheap less than three dollars and you have a cool looking active avatar in the
other side and so like i think that like you know like let's just say if every person in this room
went and got somebody you know what i'm saying we'd have an extra 85 people in the other side
on boarded today you know what i mean and like and those numbers can be exponential across the
way because i know everybody knows more than one person that plays video games in this room. That's not on the
other side. Like this week I went to a birthday party for my kid and he's doing it. The parents
are sitting there and they're like, you know, a lot of them know me and stuff like that, but
they're like, nobody knows what I do. And I was like, yo, I'll play video games for a living.
And they're like, what? And I was like, yeah, I host events, play video games for a living. Like that's literally and i was like yeah i host events play video games for a living like that's literally what i do like a business development
story story creating all this stuff and they're like wow and then they're like showing so i logged
in right then showed them other side dot xyz and even the parents that weren't paying attention
everybody got my number yesterday the day before i got two text messages and i onboarded two of the
parents from the party.
You know what I'm saying? Simply. And, and, and they're into it. Like, that's the thing is like,
you just never know, but until you put it out there and you're like, yo, this is what it is.
And you know, well, will they play every day? I don't know, but it's in there. It's in there.
It's in their, their, their, their, what's it called in their site. It's in their vision. They, they, they understand it. They know it exists and they know that they own everything there,
And I didn't have to explain it like,
this is crypto and all this is a,
They think it's a web two game,
And you just need an email to sign up.
The only thing is that they know the differences is that everything they get
in that game belongs to them and nobody else can take it away from them.
A hundred percent,
I'm thinking about one thing, and I think
it's still too early for that, but
when we get more games,
and I know we had
Bathroom Blades, Outbreak,
Primal Instinct, would it be really
cool to put people
and more, right? And more, and more.
And more, and more.
I think it would be really cool to put creators together.
Like everyone who's active on spaces
In other side
Let me ask Hiperhimi, can we tell them guys? Can we tell them what we've been doing the best couple days?
My couple already DM me so it's better if you say it then I say it
What do you say it What do you say
I have no clue brother
I should go ask
I should go ask Vicky or somebody
You think I tell Machiavelli the whole plan
I give him like the TLDR
Like super fucking mega
Like two second words
Like introduction and I'm like I I'm not going to give you
the rest of the notion.
Or until it's like
an hour before we launch.
Because this motherfucker is going to tell everybody.
Hour, honeybee, more like six minutes, brother.
It's crazy that he told me your mom's number,
Yeah, that's what
he did. Yeah yeah i know she already sent me a
picture bro it's cool but guys i wanted to say that uh it would be really cool at one point
like put all the active creators together and you know who those people are right and uh let's do
something like content creator academy or shit because for example how to set up the stream like
maybe if you can create a school or some group or whatever um we need we need to get out of the
bubble right on twitch everywhere i know you guys been doing that i i try to set up mine i'm so bad
at it i don't know how to do it oh I know Ches PZ, he's really famous.
So, oh, come on, man.
Don't be that humble.
But that would be really cool, right?
Like everyone that we actually figure out stuff,
share it with others and push others
so we spread the content out into the world
because it's going to help for sure.
And today I saw Baron sharing that GIF with BAYC Anime.
That's gonna be another banger.
I still think...
I love that anime.
And then I love the cartoon for the clubhouse.
Who doesn't love the cartoon for the clubhouse?
That makes me want to be in Miami already.
And it's not even fucking ready.
Guys, shouldn't we make Curtis really famous?
He is famous, bro.
We just got to get him out there in front of more people.
Yeah, I'm still thinking about it, man.
I think Curtis is such an incredible character.
Yeah, we should do something with that MFR, you know?
So he's famous, man.
Tell you to do an open mint so that we can all run around as Curtis
Yeah, directive creator he already has that avatar, right?
He's gotta call it like
It's gonna be like when you buy fake and I keys they they call Mikey's right so now it's gonna be like when you buy fake nikes they they
call mikey's right so now it's gonna be like i don't know zertis oh my god oh my god i can
imagine that damn where's all i saw all here uh all launched token deal it's life now i brought
him on stage he saw chespi and he dipped.
So I don't know what happened there, guys.
I'm about to put a 10 pack of something on that deal.
I'm going to make the best deal for anybody who's been trying to get into a clutch market ecosystem.
Go look for my deal on Tokid deal.
Damn, guys.
I'm so hyped about everything that's happening.
I know we've taken it step by step,
and it seems sometimes that market is this and that.
But the fundamentals and what guys are building with Pokemon,
it's wild.
And the revenue they mentioned, damn.
That's what we all need, right?
So it's great that we have these services coming
to ApeChain. I know Gatsby, you've been also cooking something.
Yeah, man. You can chill it here.
Yeah, it's still not ready, man. I'm coding it fully myself,
and I've ran into some walls.
Bro, come on. I just coded the clone of Twitter in like one hour with Claude.
So don't tell me that you've been coding it by yourself, bro.
I have. No, for real. But it's some appy stuff and like having it be stable, basically.
So the alerts are popping, everything's working, but they suddenly trigger when they shouldn't. So I'm having some issues there. But I'm also cooking something together with Aloe,
which is fully in Web2. It's an AI tool, which I can't talk anything about just yet.
But we hope that that's something that we can tap into, like Machiavelli was saying,
you know, tap outside the tent. And if we can get traction and get a lot of users in there,
we could definitely, obviously, we're Web3 at heart, right?
So we'd be doing off-ramps into Web3 and stuff like that.
So, yeah, man.
Awesome, bro. Can't wait. Share the alpha with us.

and then you can misclick and share the alpha.
That's easy process.
Tino, go ahead, man.
I think Figgi said something,
that it will be one of the biggest updates.
And also not only around other side,
but also around BAYC.
So that made me really happy.
So BAYC again in the center of attention.
I don't know what that means,
but I was watching the video the next morning
because, of course, I was sleeping. But the next morning because of course I was sleeping,
but that made me pretty happy.

Yeah, I sent an invite to Baron. Gizby, I love it. I think
you're on point, man. I think you're
MFers, go to collect
some Pokemon cards.
I'll be there. I will just have a quick dinner.
I will relax.
I will pray, and then I will try to get
the most expensive Pikachu ever.
So that's my plan for tonight. And yeah, Tino, anything else pray and then I will try to get the most expensive Pikachu ever.
So that's my plan for tonight.
And yeah, Tino, anything else you would love to add?
I muted by accident, but it was funny how you started praying again while collecting. It's always good that it brings us back to fate.
