unique storytelling, et cetera?
Impact, that's how persuasive you are.

And also, did you do a call to action

And did it also seem authentic?

And then lastly, content.
Is it relevant to the prompt? Also, was the information presented

each judging point. And remember, keep the contest lighthearted, fun, respectful. This is all to celebrate creativity, community, and the spirit of shilling.
We just try to bring projects together to have a lot of fun.

Instead of talking about what my community does for me, I want to talk about what I do for my community.
Because since I came into crypto, I hear this word community thrown around a lot.
And unfortunately, a lot of times what I
see is I see people extract from their communities. So I'm going to go ahead and talk about a couple
of different communities that not only do I support, but that support me because I think
it should be a mutual thing, right? Something that goes back and forth between the two of us.
First of all, Thurston's original fan base, they've been around through thick and thin.
I've got YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter,
all the major social media platforms.
And these are people that have been around for Thurston
since the beginning.
They've followed his health journey.
They've followed his meme.
And people who are just super dedicated to this cat,
but also people that I've formed really close bonds with.
These are people that I've known literally since going back to Vine is where we started.
So I know people that I still communicate with, that I have friendships with, that go back literally almost 10 years.
So as far as community goes on that side, that's one community that I'll never forget.
And that's why I'm being very careful about how I advertise my token, not actually even putting any advertisements about it
out because I don't want to leverage any kind of parasocial relationships with his old community.
That's very important to me that I don't take advantage of anybody. Moving on to the crypto
community. Crypto community is something that basically as I came in,
I immediately met some really amazing people. And when I didn't know a whole lot about the
crypto social space, these people took me under their wing and they made sure that, you know,
I wasn't getting taken advantage of. And I did get scammed several times when I came in and these
community members were there to protect me, to step in and make sure that, you know, nothing bad happened to me when I first started this project out.
In fact, two of those community members, I flew out to Nashville to meet them because they basically organized me meeting this vet and touring this shelter.
And that was sort of how this project started was basically we were going to pay for a dog surgery down there in Nashville.
These guys brought me out there. I toured the facility and we ended up pay for a dog surgery down there in Nashville. These guys brought me out there.

And honestly, getting a vet to sign on to a crypto project, that takes some doing, guys.

And what we did, there was some type of synergy there with our oil company.
And we were talking about me making a donation, you know, to help what's going on over there at the TreeGen.

But so just because we're talking about the environment, you know, I want to introduce everybody to used cooking oil.
And used cooking oil is waste.
It's something that restaurants get rid of.
And what we do is we recycle it, take it to a refinery, and they turn it into biodiesel and biofuel.
So right now we're servicing 65 restaurants.
We have 50 pizza huts right now that we recycle from.
So we're recycling 6,800 gallons of used
cooking oil to date. You get $2.50 on average for every gallon that we recycle. Right now,

Okay, so I have been here since 2016 and I was not always in meme coins.
In fact, I didn't launch Kendu, someone else did.
Kendu is the CTO.
I come from a DeFi and layer one background.
I've been headhunted by some pretty big projects in crypto as a business developer.
I've done community management and I was once at one point a utility and DeFi purist.
But I discovered over the years that in fact, people do not care too much about the technology.
The UX is still horrendous.
And most of the best utility projects do not need tokens.
Okay.
And, you know, oftentimes it's going to be a governance token
or there's going to be some wishy-washy actual utility for the token.
And the governance ends up being a ghost town, a joke,
completely dominated by
whales and insiders. There's like a handful of examples of true utility projects that I think
have excellent tokenomics like MakerDAO and GMX and those are unicorns. Those are like the best
of the best. And the other projects, I feel feel just you know they they do not need a token
to accomplish their mission and in fact they're capping their own growth by not focusing on
revenue first and they're just launching a quote-unquote utility token um and they're
immediately have a ceiling and i don't want to invest in cryptos which have ceilings. I want the infinite upside
and scale potential of a meme coin. The sky is the limit feeling. But Troll King was right.
A lot of these tokens are based on narrative. You know, Trump gets a new donkey, his name's
Frank, and suddenly there's a hundred pump funds. Great. All of those are rugs, and they're not
going to be around because there's going
to be a more compelling narrative soon after.
So what Kendu is doing its original IP.
It has all of the upside from all of the sky is the limit feeling behind a meme coin.
However, because of the permissionless brand, because of the real businesses
and products that are growing and because of the voluntary
revenue streams through buybacks and burns that these projects will bring to kendu through their
through their companies through their real brick and mortar companies i think this is far far
superior to any i'll say i won't say any i'll say most utility projects. And there are exceptions like MakerDAO and GMX and a handful of others.
But really, I cannot think of a better place to park your capital than somewhere where the upside is literally infinite.
And the downside risk is mitigated by an energetic community with tattoos on their penises.
Or just one penis, actually.
But you get what I mean. energetic community with tattoos on their penises or just one penis actually.

It's these are the people who are bringing the energy every day, energy that you cannot replicate in a utility project.
You could never, ever replicate the energy of a meme coin community.
And this to me is why I initially got into crypto in the first place.
It's decentralized autonomous growth.

because I do come from that background.

This is from somebody coming from the outside into the social space.
And I just want to point out, you know, I've been reading a lot of white papers since I got into the crypto space.
And this word utility in crypto is itself a meme.
I see this word utility thrown around all the time in white papers.
So there is this assumption that the word itself has value, but it's only a utility.
Utility only has value if it actually makes a difference.
Another thing I'll point out, too too is that the tech is often outpaced
by the time the utility actually gets built.
The best doesn't always float to the top.
And I think that a lot of utilities shoot themselves in the foot
because they don't embrace the attention economy.
So this is just a reality that we have to accept about crypto
and about the world is that it operates on attention economy.
The word utility utility the idea
of utility it doesn't automatically bring value so that's why i think it's important to give memes
their due you know and and i do hear a lot of utility maxis that don't get that and that's a
lot of times why great utilities fail is because they don't embrace these you know the idea that
they need to get their message out there too.
Absolutely. And great thoughts, man.
I mean, I think I tune into a lot of spaces you're in and you're always very thoughtful.
And I think that's a great take on memes and utilities. And as a utility project myself, it is not easy to operate in this space just because you got to keep on building and staying relevant
and then also networking and bringing, you know, things like this, spaces that bring projects and
people together. You know, we definitely depend on each other to make it work and look at the space.
Like I said, I mean, we have means and utilities together and then there's a lot of spaces that are
the same like that. So it just kind of goes hand in hand. So, but thanks for that, that take on it. I definitely love today's spaces was really amazing and got to see a lot of amazing people and projects, present their projects, but do it in a fun way and just kind of come together. But we unfortunately have to work on shutting her down because we've ran a little bit long.
