what intended but i was actually expecting them to be way more communicative throughout this bear
market but they weren't but they actually came out with a low-key cool announcement for the community
they have this new thing called made by apes basically like a club full of builders coming
out later this month i what i understood from this announcement is that the apes are going to
start um giving a shout out to everyone in the community building cool stuff i think that's dope
so you can actually find like all in a platform what's going on in the community i think that's
pretty cool because like from what i've seen in the bull run multiple projects were founded by the
apes but nowadays i don't see much going on with that and maybe it's lack of exposure right i feel
like they have the right platform to push all of that so it's pretty interesting to see that come
into fruition right now uh gm spiders what's going on today how you feeling about this whole board
thing yeah good morning uh ben and good morning everyone in here the web3 community um you know
on-chain banter number 24 it's going to be a really good one today i can definitely feel it
um you know the one thing that i say about you know the market share with the any sort of yugo lab
project or any eight project you know you could say what you will about their engagement factor maybe
they're just all about like marketing some of them you know what i mean they think that they're
social media influencers overnight because they have they got the pfp that costs all this money but
they have um they have a lot of ability in my opinion in the future to actually merchandise
and to go in on that market and to further proliferate the idea of like you know tangible goods
and what people call utility it's not quite utility in my opinion right it's still just tangible goods
merchandising and things of that nature which are very cost effective for these companies to actually
try to make and market on top of their nfts already and so um it's uh in my opinion it's a very smart
idea and i think that they're gonna knock the knock the ball out of the park with it honestly because
people are gonna want this stuff so i like that i like that i'm not gonna lie i feel like they do need
the help just having a board a pfp it's not enough nowadays these in the bull run days where people just
got hyped for seeing a monkey i don't want to i don't want to just like um just lot the whole crew
into one thing right because i never do that about any community or any one person whether it's irl or
web3 you can't you can't just say 100 or anything it just seems like a very large majority of the
people are just like you know we got this pfp and so now we're social media influencers and i think all
this stuff on top of it is really just kind of kind of help again proliferate the brand and if it's
coming out during a time where we got legs in a bull run then obviously it's going to be on the
news right it's going to be on the normies channels and everything like that and so people are going
to see that exposure and i think that's good for any community even if you don't are not part of the
the lab the yugo labs projects and everything because it just means more uh more people coming
into the space in general it could be on your oh i actually like that perspective that this
platform might actually be more effective throughout the bull run however they actually
deploying it in the bear market and start cooking it uh yo digital gm fam what are your thoughts on
this how are you feeling about this new yuga platform yeah i'm gm everyone yeah like i think
it's dope i think you know like soon enough like all other projects are going to adopt it it only
makes sense right to like promote the the builders like it has the kind of network effects like
the more they promote people the more people will want to build and be like associated with them
so for me i think it's like it's only a beneficial thing to to like yeah be highlighting i guess not
not only a beneficial thing right because obviously if some people end up rugging and they like push
them then there's that kind of risk so i'm not too sure what kind of due diligence they they might
need to do before they just like put people up like oh this is a building
hello oh shit i'm not sure if that's the alarm the alarm was ringing
gm gm rando but uh yo i think digital brought up a great point right this platform it's super
awesome to give the apes some exposure because we know how it is in web 3 like we pay attention to
specific channels of communication specific platforms but there is a risk right what if
they got a in-house rugger like how would they handle that right so i think there is a risk that
they run into when when promoting people from their own community so that that's actually interesting
they need to have a way more balanced approach than just pushing everything and anything
co-host privilege to yarios what are your thoughts on these man man gm everybody gm ben good to see
you this is this is my first time seeing it jumping in this space and to be honest yuga has never done
anything that has made me made me more bullish than that right there i know how it feels when you have
like the overwhelming desire to build things and it's hard to like really get traction like even
today even currently i still get faded by the community that i'm in and that shit sucks coming
from the higher ups in your community so when there's like uh an actual system to say hey look
this is what we're going to go through it's open to everybody this isn't some favoritism bullshit
yeah there's going to be some due diligence d-y-o-r we're not responsible if you get rubbed and that's
it like i don't need a guarantee from you i don't need you guys to be my insurance policy
but fuck man make it possible to build bro like it gets really exhausting to try to build
and you get fud and faded and oh what have you done and blah blah blah you've got no backing but
then all of a sudden as soon as some random person's like hey you know i'm down with this
now the whole sentiment changes but i think that this is good for shaking up that that concept
because as a builder i really do hate that shit in the space i love that i love that and coming
from you as a builder that that actually hits home like probably you felt some lack of support
throughout your journey in not only from one community but multiple communities that you are
part of you are not part of one single community and that goes to tell that in web 3 many projects
build they tell oh we're gonna help builders people doing stuff with our ip whatever whatever
but then when the time comes to actually help people i i have the feeling hearing uh your comment
and comment from other people in other spaces that they don't support as much as they could
so that's interesting let's throw it to spiders and then k what's good let's go k actually he had his
hand up first oh my b my b welcome to the stage k how are you doing hey everyone um i'm actually
gonna let spiders go first oh okay well i think the question that i just kind of wanted to pose
everyone is that do you think that with the with the builder state that again yarios was kind of
talking about uh do you again think that this is more bullish for yuga labs and people are going to
be buying into the nft project for that or is this more bullish for like the 30 to 70 price point nfts
the more affordable ones for people that are going to be coming into the space new they see something
like this in the in the irl the merchandise they see it on like the news and stuff what is going to be
do you think the where is that enormi liquidity going to be coming from if we do actually see it in
any sort of leg of a bull run and so i didn't mean to shift conversation directly away and so but yeah
no that's actually an interesting question like because this makes me think like this could be
like a platform that works almost as a premium tool in the space because normies would hardly just
pull out like i don't know 18th for a mutant or 40th for an ape i don't know it sounds like too much
i would be shaking as a normie if i had to spend that much just to be part of a community so i think
this is more of a product to seasoned players in in the web 3 space that know how to leverage these and
understand the meaning of these because just like yar you said okay he had lack of support from
multiple communities and stuff a normie coming into the space i don't think he would have that
perspective to be honest at least somebody that just hopped in that never observed the space for
like six months to understand how hard it is to sustain hype sustain attention and keep on building
and having people go for your project i mean i i think um normies wouldn't see the value on it at
first but i might be underestimating these normies and they might make me switch my mind no and that's
the thing ben i'm 1000 agreeing with you there i really am
yeah i think it's interesting nonetheless though i love that question let's throw it to k gm k
hey everybody uh thanks for having me up ben i just want to let you know that i've been coming
to your spaces for a long time do you remember me bro of course okay i'm just kidding i'm a girl
um but yeah so i like the apes a lot um i do a lot of like quote unquote deep value and
investigation for you know stocks and stuff like that and um the apes are being held by a lot of
really big holders um so like that's objective on chain you know not financial advice it's just
objectively true on chain if you go and look at who holds them you can get a pretty good idea of
who's going to be using that intellectual property and um so i think the new liquidity will come from
the builders and how well they use the dow and the apes com and honestly um the animoca brands
company that is investing in yuga labs like we really can't forget that yuga is not the board apes
as they were right they're a whole new company and they've got a lot of money backing their marketing
so i think the marketing will hit new people and especially with their games and things like that
uh specifically with animoca brands and i'd like i do support all this but this is just my genuine
opinion not a shill um so i i think all of this is going to like allow new people to get exposure for
the first time so we're always concerned about if the price is going to raise for bitcoin and i don't
think that's going to happen until 2024 at least personally so that being said like i'm more concerned
about who is buying the project what we're going to be doing with this ip and so like i'm talking to
people and i'm telling them at these companies these bigger venture venture capitalist companies
like you should be using the ip for the video games and it's not that they're not about that it's that
they're not here every day listening to you guys or they're not gamers or they're not 22 and i'm not
22 but i am studying 22 year olds and so like all that being said i i just think it's really bullish
for like the fact that they gave out passes um to people to onboard them like that is really good
marketing that you can't sleep on as an investor in my opinion so like you know you know like you
can hate them you can do whatever you want but at the end of the day if they hit x amount there are
going to be people who a sweep but b um use it for ip and so they're going to say you know i've been
waiting for a chance to get my band together and they're going to get three more apes and make a band
and and it might hit a point where like it becomes more fun than anything but who cares
and um i think eventually like this will be marketing for uh you know crypto onboarding in general
very very interesting take right like vcs coming into the space they definitely need to have that
how can i say like they need to be seen as part of the culture right
because like i mean if vcs just come in his face looking like some boomers that don't understand
the culture they don't represent the culture somehow i don't know it will just be like funny
i don't think people will support them as much no and the thing that you follow up with k just so
directly is that i love your take and and you cannot fade that you've a uh brand or anything like
that can you know even if you have just negative opinions about whatever with the pfp situation the
price floor all that kind of stuff i'd love what you said about your technical analysis on bitcoin
and i personally am seeing the same things and i definitely think market set market sentiment is
showing the same stuff my question though to you k is that you you know how much money yugo labs has
right and so it's like what they do with that in my opinion going to that gaming community and
developing that ip 1000 agree that's where they're going to get all that market share
because that's going to get new people into their space without buying into the pfp branch without
getting into and such and so definitely yeah you know i love talking about this i really i'm not
chilling i don't have any no i understand that completely i obviously don't right i have a pack of
cigarettes worth pfp right now and so it's just like yeah no i i would have more if i was a better
investor but i'm just a regular retail i'm not kidding so well that being said like uh you know
this is all totally like something i've watched from the inception and don't have any like financial
stake in so like that being said i've seen the whole inception and i've seen the ape community the
people holding it right now care they have a mission and a plan and i understand that as a
holder of nfts but like that being said in general like that ip if the community doesn't take it
and build it and see it as what it is theirs then i don't understand why people are going to keep
complaining because you can really do so much marketing and i've spoken to the actual like
vc people right and i say that very very very broadly they don't like the smoking apes right
just as an example who would a cannabis brand you know so it's that targeted marketing there are a lot
of people that are buying floor apes yep thanks ben no because you know they're they're a little bit
less scandalous and like so justin bieber's ape why did he buy that it's got no drama it's no fud
uh is it the best ape no it's it's one of the lowest traits so i just think it's really interesting to
stop looking at them as like as much as i like the floor or uh sorry the rare apes you know it's not
what we're looking for in marketing just look at them as a marketing um intellectual property for like
branding yourself inside a club like it's a social club it always has been love that love that take
yo we got a new speaker on stage phantom observer gfm what are your thoughts on this
hey ben thanks for hosting the space and uh yeah i'm just uh new to the whole uh web3 nft blockchain
community i kind of got in probably like five years ago when like the first uh crypto boom happened
but i sort of invested for a bit and got out very quickly because like i realized that there is a lot
of volatility and like intangibility in crypto but what nfts have eventually showed me is that people's
creativity is getting a place to sort of distribute value but what i also see uh happening and i don't
know if this is going to sound like a super hot take right so i come across these concepts like nft
burning and this and that and it's all like quality control mechanisms which i can understand
but there are like resource costs so i particularly i'm an engineer i'm a mechanical engineer like
know a little bit of software and like i look for a lot of integration and embedded systems so when i
see like blockchain i know that the whole supply chain can just be blockchained and done like so much
more efficiently right so i have ideas for blockchain and i want to find like good spaces
so i think these kind of value propositions are good where i have a stake in an nft and people can
come and like i represent this community because it gives me like access to a group of people who share
a vision right so i believe in that and my idea is to have like more globalization of communities
because these decentralization is also causing like digital tribalization which people don't
understand right it causes a lot of conflict internally just because the visions collide in
the end and they're just left with the bag of like someone else's fight inflated the value of my asset
and now i am here with all the debt and that's the economic problem which we should not allow to
happen in the blockchain element because we are just tokenizing data on another level in blockchains
and a lot of us don't realize it so my vision or purpose right now is to help with tech literacy
is to help people understand the complexity in systems and basically help simplify all of these
things i am going to nft communities i'm trying to look at their privacy policy i'm trying to help them
understand the risks and i'm trying to say that guys like no matter how much you do there are social
engineering elements that you need to be careful of because there are going to be communities inside
your decentralized ecosystem that are not going to do exactly that aligns with your vision but we all
in the end of the day have to do the checks and balances for each other so i definitely see the
potential for everyone to come on an ecosystem so i think what blockchains are are they're platforming
people they have to provide good value proposition and they have to anchor people around a good idea
and a community and that's just that like we'll define different blocks and chains around it and
we're going to put that into like nft or the blockchain eventually right i see the polygon community
do that very smartly uh and i'm i'm in there i'm trying to learn and so yeah i just want to hear what
you guys have to say about all the things that i i sort of brought up
whoa many many great points i love to take i'm not gonna lie i think the next hand up was actually
k sensei so i'm gonna throw it to her let's go queen
sorry i had trouble unmuting um i'm sorry i wasn't looking at my phone that was a handful man
um but i think like to summarize your point um is what i found interesting in your point
is talking about how uh you know communities uh and um them being sort of um brought together
through tokenized assets is one of the ways to to introduce more people to the blockchain and sort of
uh interest them in the kind of education you can provide which um i think is a great point and
if that's the case then you're in the right place um i wanted to in first of all yeah oh jam everyone
um hello hello nice to see y'all um but yeah i wanted to throw in my take my take on the boarding
situation too because um i heard people talk about things like um you know maybe this made by apes
thing is a way for like ape holders to verify that they're apes like building an ape business whatever
without using um their yuga ip um you know maybe not everyone wants to like uh slap an an ape on their
like a product but they're still like a member of the community and want to like uh leverage that
um so maybe they verify it that way but use some other branding you know um that's kind of interesting
i actually like that uh because yeah in nfts like i don't know crypto twitter
it feels like if you don't wear a pfp from a community you are not part of it and that's how
it feels like at times i don't know or people make it sound like that for instance look at me
looking like a normie out here without a project pfp you know the vibes that i still love all pfps
i just wanted to rock my own pfp for a minute but yeah it's definitely a great point as well right
because maybe if d labs was doing something similar people would still know okay this project coming
from ben it's actually like coming from the community as well right even though he doesn't
rock the pfp doesn't mean he's not part of it so i actually like that idea as well because for instance
jonah the dude that speaks a lot about gaming he owns a crypto punk and i didn't know and if i saw
him on these made by it's not made by apes in his case we would have to extend it to made by yuga
because crypto punks are not apes but yeah you get the point i would know that he's part of the
ecosystem i like that idea uh let's throw it to spiders i absolutely love uh fandom stake it's very
interesting being uh you know you being an engineer in the space and coming in with that take the one
thing that i just want to echo is how much this um the market and everything like that is affected by
um like the nativization or the overall like segmentation of different native groups and i think that
that is a clashing factor right now on a lot of the development and we need to understand that this is
such a small niche space why would there need why is there a need for tribalization it just and in
kind of the question actually poses me i think that it's a product of the fact that we are so niche and
we are so small right we feel like that there's just we have to grab on as a community to absolutely
every single piece of whatever it may be from a social engagement perspective and if anyone else gets
it we're like fuck we're losing out and so it's like because we're such a small space i feel like
that there's this kind of constant like survival mode that we're all in and i think that that gets
shifted on its head completely when we have more money coming into the space when people that have
been founders and floor levels on the space actually look in their portfolio and they're like okay this
is what i'm worth now right and so all that kind of stuff as more people come in as more money come
in that's going to change dramatically and i think that tribalization factor is going to change a lot
dramatically too definitely definitely like do i actually want to throw this back to k like do you
feel like tribalization in the web 3 space is a good thing as a builder as somebody that supports
vcs and writes grants for people as people could actually leverage that or do you think it it's more
of a factor that isolates people in general rather than being like a quote-unquote utility how do you
feel about this okay um you know so so back to what you know i i actually agree with almost
everything that um phantom said as a new person most definitely like great take as somebody just coming
in for sure um so that's like geopolitics right you know geopolitical tagging and like all that stuff
like they can actually censor the information that you read so i personally get a vpn and i go and i look
at uh news all over the world on my other laptop and that's a personal choice and it's also legal
so like you know do i want to have to do all those things to go see the news in australia no i shouldn't
have to do all that um at all so it's like a lot of people will look at me and be like well that's
weird that you have like weird i'm like no it's weird that i have to get a weird browser to see the
news in australia that's weird and so like i think that's my point like of course it will help like
there was um you know uh lebanon i think somebody told this story i don't want to take credit for
this story at all but um it was a great story about like how they got out of lebanon when the
banks closed down because of crypto and um i just don't see like how how anybody could keep me
attached to the u.s dollar when i'm not really attached to any one place at this point or even like
a group of people um so you know as far as like um like tribalization goes i like to think of
detribalization as like um you know a good thing in a sense um but at the same time like um you know
i don't know like i wouldn't at the same time want to take away like culture from people that they
could bring here so there's a fine line so like i want people to come do spanish things here um will
that be detribalization yes but will it be tribalization in a sense yeah so it has to be
both and um that is what the vcs are looking for and that's a big conversation right like
cardano will give you money to go and do what is called quote unquote tribalization in uh you know
south america last year at least and um we could call that detribalization which i think it's just
an interesting juxtaposition interesting interesting right because like at the end of the day any
development in a silo ecosystem could code unquote be considered tribalization i like that idea as well
uh before throwing it to the phantom yo i would ask you guys to please give us that like and a retweet
to bring more eyes to the space he brings more speakers the conversation becomes even crazier just
like you guys making it right now so i would appreciate it so much let's fucking go uh phantom back to you
how do you feel about all these answers uh in regards to the conversation you just sparked
yeah ben uh i really appreciated it and uh my my whole thing is so i am an aerospace engineer
so i have sort of learned about telecommunications and satellites and blockchain is just very similar to
that so basically uh what i do is have like this global perspective and there is a geopolitical reality
there that is what kay sort of pointed to but i think there is a geocultural reality as well right
so what happens is there is the geopolitics that is trying to fight and create a narrative but then
the geoculture is fighting back so i call this the re-tribalization so what is happening is we are
finding digital identities to sort of converge around on the internet and we are trying to build
communities we are trying to build new cultures and the thing is these kind of cultures are evolving
so the main thing we have to understand is we have to converge around common cultural identities
like humanity right so i believe that humanity should be the underlying thing not anything about
like you know inclusivity there's that like i agree right all of that is part of being human
but understand what being human is right so let's let's be tribal in new ways but let's still be human
guys let's not forget that what my man's cooking i'm not gonna lie
oh thank you that that is i put so massive go
it's my bad here and yeah it's all good thank you coming up and hearing your tape from another intellectual
that isn't in this every day i agreed with almost all of your points i agreed with the technicals and i
agreed with the the vision that you laid out my issue it lies in reality okay people are people
we are people after being here long enough people you can always trust people to be people and you
will never be disappointed right so as much as we try to decentralize and form these fucking communities
i've been through this time and time again in these situations there is always that one asshole
sometimes it's more than one sometimes it's a little group it just depends on how many people are in
this collective but in a true utopian fashion there would be no uh intergroup turmoil there would
be no but like you said there's geopolitics and there's regional politics there's people that are
going to be people i do believe that people will make their whole identities these profile pictures and i do
believe that that creates a silo effect or some but in tribes in the real world if there is a
disagreement over members we're going to fight about it we're going to throw our dukes up some some
cultures we might even fight to the death right it's been that way throughout all of human history
right you'll have challengers and you'll have the alpha male right so when you have these communities
and it's all decentralized so to speak right and you want to be a part of this community i want to
build in this community it falls apart when you have those assholes in the tribe and it makes it
very difficult so as far as i see a lot of hands going up so i know a controversial take here but
it makes it difficult to like build and really be in this ecosystem when you can't address the
fucking assholes that's about it
okay we got a hot take here from our co-host i want to hear some takes on this i think next up if
i'm not mistaken oh let's throw it to a new speaker randall gm brother
how are you feeling about this man uh yeah i'm going to probably say something maybe not everyone's
going to agree with um one of the biggest problems and i think this came after the result of azuki having
to do a public vote the problem is we're trying to balance between being decentralized and centralized
right and i think our global culture is not used to that irrespective of which market you're in we're
talking about like the behaviors of capitalist capitalistic countries you're not used to it right
you like the idea that a brand is going to give you power to voice your concerns or add input but
human nature is that if you're asking me for advice i'm hope more hoping or more likely than hoping
you are going to take that advice right and if you don't then it's going to upset me right that's like
an instinctive reaction and and this is where i think like people need to take a stance right if you're
going to be a leader in the space take a stance you don't want decentralization no problem like
the space is still there for you it's it's you're building something that's leading to more money coming
into the space or more opportunities for people to have jobs like there's such a wider picture to this
right we don't need to necessarily keep going back to oh every like decentralization doesn't mean
you have power it simply means you have the right for something right it doesn't mean you have power
over others like you don't have power over a brand if a brand has majority vote you can't argue with
that that is decentralization and i think it comes down to also how we educate people on this right like
how you have where you take your stance is also depending on how you educate yourself and your
community because telling people you're all for decentralization but then you figure out it's a great
opportunity to partner with an nba player for example like replicating gutter cat gang but it
doesn't go well then what like you know what i mean you're you're trying to balance when you shouldn't
you should take a stance and hold that position and make it work and that's how you're actually going
to build a business if you're going to juggle back and forth then more than likely you're leaving way
too much room for you to manage more um more crisis than you to actually manage a business
oh shit hot take but i like it i like it bringing some objectivity and realism to the matter
yo let's throw it to another new speaker of the day click
what's good um just wanted to maybe like a on on the follow-up on uh yario's uh point about
their you know when people disagree uh we fight about it uh we we change the we change who we're aligned
with we you know the all the different ways that we like sort of uh have resolutions to to conflicts in
the real world um and i just want like to point out uh the way most people uh i mean i shouldn't say most
people but in in my experience it seems like as long as people are feel like their voice is heard and
that it matters even if the outcome isn't a hundred percent what they want they're they they can be
pretty uh agreeable to it and um and that's when the where where i've seen that most is is on tezos
uh the way tezos is governance is is structured um when there's like a an upgrade to the network
proposed um you know there both needs to be a it needs to pass a certain threshold to to you know
whether yes i want this to pass no i don't want this to pass uh like you have to have a certain
percentage of that but you also have to reach like a quorum of people that that overall voted and
there's usually like a you know i think it's like two or three weeks of discussion that takes place
um a lot of it in one kind of centralized message board that most people have used but um there's been
very real like uh you know schisms within the community uh on tez that haven't really necessarily
been resolved but there's been like we've had we've had upgrades delayed on tezos um like there was a
perfectly reasonable upgrade that could have passed but there was one little issue that some people took
umbrage with and it resulted in um where a lot of chains might have like chosen to like do a fork of
some sort you know tez simply kind of delayed the upgrade for another cycle and there was uh
another period of like voting uh several weeks later and it was you know and then it got passed the
second time through but those same people that voted no a lot of the people that voted no on the
previous one that got delayed voted yes on the next one because there was a slight change to the
the proposed upgrade but there's also been a lot of discussion and i feel and most of the people
didn't feel like they'd been ignored um and i wrote a little bit about it on my blog a long time ago
at the beginning of last or beginning of the year last year i don't remember um but i think having
like a solid like structure or like some some formalized like governance thing where people who
when we have these disagreements which are bound to happen uh the the disagreement isn't necessarily
the important part the important part the important part is how do we resolve it and move forward in a
way that doesn't require like like a hard fork of some sort because then that that's where like the
the big issues kind of result in and um so yeah just uh wanted to chime in on that
i like the take i like the ending despite that crazy teso shield i'm not gonna lie my man be out
here shielding tesos i don't i never touch that blockchain but i'm intrigued by it because this
man has shielded to me over a thousand times but the governance aspect of it definitely makes me
intrigued because like i feel like that's a problem in the blockchain space governance and how to
come up with solutions and decisions when dealing with thousands of people that might not be
necessarily communicating on a day-to-day basis makes things challenging so it's definitely something
eventually i will research i'm not gonna say when because i don't want nobody telling me ben did you
research that already but i will in due time i'm learning some other shit right now more related to
solidity uh but let's go to these hands uh i'm not sure who was next up uh maybe was it k it was
me but um phantom and spiders can go first it was phantom after spiders right spiders uh yeah maybe not
whatever the whatever the situation uh whatever phantom are you gonna pick up a new point or are you
gonna speak up yeah i want to hear what i'm gonna like i'm gonna address quite a bit of like what was
spoken about with my knowledge so i will kind of lay some context right now the project i'm working on
is based on cost engineering and cost optimization so i kind of understand data-driven insights optimal
resource management and basically i want to sort of understand emerging behavior right so the thing
with decentralization is that it's a sort of complex system where more and more people keep coming
together and the governance aspect is sort of complexified because the consensus is confusing
right so i think one of the things that was brought about was the survival instinct and i think that is
what somewhat brings out the emergent behaviors but then the system behavior is where we thrive right
if we align ourselves with how the system works that is the most optimal way of gaining the most value
from the system okay so i think that there is a lot of value in you guys trying to understand systems
engineering and systems thinking because the ideas if you can click right it's like chain to chain
connections it's just connecting different networks guys just realize it and try to make it work and you
know you can add multi-fold of value so i want to address the governance part right so my whole thing one of the
things that i was hearing was they want people to make like uh truly appreciating tokens like there is
no deflationary aspects and i see some problems there with kind of social engineering where people try to
play around with time and value and hyperinflated for other people right so there are going to be value
extractors and value proposers so we need good governance system which has value added for everyone right we
need that kind of a consensus so be careful of what the value proposition means for the governance
and let's all like agree on like all of our values because we say the same simple word for values but it each
means different things for each of us right so even though the connection and language may be the same
the abstraction is based completely on the individual so we have our value exchange ideas and that's going to be
very complicated when we say decentralized and autonomous it's great it's mathematically objective
and it's great and simple but what it's also doing is it's discovering some of our values
objectively which is a dangerous thing to be happening guys honestly i shouldn't be telling you this
but like this is economy 2.0 where all of our data is being harvested right it's begun we have been in the matrix
y2k was real guys what's up let me jump real quick though like with the uh decentralization and that's
what we're shooting for it's almost like figuring out a perfect government right like we understand the
benefits of government we also understand how government can be used maliciously right and the
issue becomes okay we understand how blockchain works and as developers we understand how to make these
things connect right the issue becomes as you're trying to have a developer create a utopian system
that is immune from capitalism immune from civil attacks and and it's i don't want to venture to say
it's an impossible task but the people that are capable of doing this bro they're not web three
worried about any of this shit i really don't believe they are because if they could figure out
a way to make perfect financial incentives and create a system that cannot be forked due to consensus
like bro they'd be running the world's perfect government like they wouldn't even be here in my opinion
so it's it's important that we as developers as participants are really aware of what it is that
we're trying to build and ask for because what it sounds like is we're trying to build a kumbaya
moment where it grows indefinitely you can onboard people never fight and the tokens always go up
like that that sounds great that sounds beautiful and you know what if you can build it i want to be on
your fucking team man let's get in the dm and make that shit happen all right yarios i gotta cut in
now i i agree with your first take entirely and i'm making that nah i mean i'm trying right so i
think what you know yarios is saying and i have a different outlook is that like uh so basically a
lot of people here will not get on stage and say the truth there's a lot of what i hear oh that's a
really big name oh maybe you shouldn't um you know say that and i actually at one point like i think
yarios and i i were like on stage with him and i was like is this guy like a plant because he's
like got some really hot takes like if you have hot takes around no i for real thought that remember
so if you have hot takes around here it's like who sent him you know and so i think if we try to
create this utopia um it's basically centralization it's a lie and so what we're doing here with
cultural things and that's what we're talking about right the cultural uh shift and all that um i
think decentralization is the difference so like what we're doing here needs to be more of i think
we're all starving for what yaris was talking about like hey um just so you know there is actually a
system here with the grants where if you own enough of x amount of coin you will have more say in that
vote most of the time and so there needs to be more of that and um i think that is what pushes the
cultural barriers barriers forward in like other uh cultures and i think that's what's missing from
centralization so i don't think we should come here and basically just do whatever the government
was doing prior and that's what we've been doing so i i want to just highlight that we can do we can
do different and i don't think they're going to do different like same thing uh they're not going to
do it um this was so we could do it and the fact that they just have a big bag now is up to michael
sailor but annoying interesting interesting i'm not gonna lie maybe it's time to pivot the conversation
into the element of the room today because the topic is just asking for it i was trying to give
it some time but you know i don't know if y'all heard about this thing recently these guys by the
name arkham intel so basically with this whole thing that we're talking about harvesting data and how
people will behave and all that stuff i think it's time to bring on the topic how you guys feeling
about a snitch to earn powered by arkham intel i think it might just be the moment to start chopping
it up about it i just spit it up top if you don't know now you know these mfers are paying people to
docks order mfers everything about you your name your address your wallets everything even if you
wear glasses or what's your favorite color these mfers are going for all of it and as if that wasn't
enough they're mixing their customers private data allegedly with some public data that is crap and i
don't know how people would feel about that thank god i'm not a customer i hope nobody doxes me but
if you're trying to dox me let me know i'm gonna switch it up to my old pfp again so we can both make
some money i'm gonna do that for us you know just like the old days when people used to do referrals
for one another and then split the money we can do that i don't mind i don't mind doxing let's
fucking get it uh but yeah how are you guys feeling about these arkham situations co-host
privilege to yarios man let's get it at least we know their data scraping is all their doxing is
already working perfectly because you can go hash their fucking referral links and figure out the
email address that's sending you the referral links so we're already doing it we're we're we're
batting 100 on that right now bro y'all wait until the market is the most down bad to drop this snitch
to earn bullshit bro this is the most anti-crypto shit ever everybody should be opposed to this bro
i understand doxing fucking negligent people and raw guarded i understand there is no fucking good
that can come from this oh yeah just fucking snitch there should be a fuck if y'all are gonna snitch
to earn bro make it a fucking leaderboard thing that way i can see who the biggest fucking snitches
in web 3 are and then you know what then i don't care y'all gonna dox people for free anyway
i get it snitch to earn is bad bald and that shit should feel bad and that's my take on that
they have bombs after bombs i want to know who made that shit i want to know who is behind
this company so i can go drop the fucking gifts of everybody boo this man under everything that
they do and whoever's behind this dox them let me find out that y'all are trying to be fucking
hidden founders somebody dox these mfers yo that that would be the perfect reverse you know card
yesterday oh fuck them and everybody uh i mean things things are heated up uh co-host privilege
to k sensei take it away fam uh yeah they're very doxed they came to a bunch of amas including one
today on my mario awful space uh but i only caught uh five minutes of it but they're recorded so if
anyone's interested they're like uh human pfps uh real names they're like dox as fuck oh on whose
space mario debater what yep the very same i was in there for a while and i couldn't bring myself to
listen to the fucking shill drama bullshit i'm like bro no one is coming up here and saying bro y'all
are fucking down bad for this nobody wants this what like who came here saying oh yeah a year and a
half from now motherfucker's gonna be fucking farming tokens to dox me look at look at blur look
at people farming fucking blur they're like oh this is bad for the ecosystem but i'm gonna be
involved to get my little fucking points now wait until everybody's getting doxed and see how
you think it's toxic now wait until this shit starts i totally agree with you y'all yes not to speak
out of turn but we still hands i see some hands i don't know who's next but uh this is a hot take
i don't want to just vent on my hot takes here yeah take it away spiders go ahead go ahead i see
you throw emojis i want to hear it and that's the thing like i i originally had my point about how we
are like the individuals who are in the space like need to be kind of a cross guard to help
the bridge security and everything like that and i think that's going to help with a lot of things
that we were talking about as far as governance and stuff like that um but uh yeah let's let's just
pass it along here because there are a ton of hands up i just wanted to say how like but data
mining in general do not fade it because it's it's literally the umbrella effect and it's the market
share that's going to be in my opinion setting the tone in the space for a lot of what we're going to
be seeing in the next few years and so it's it's a very dangerous game to be talking about but it's
something that's going to inevitably happen right and so these conversations need to be had within
circles so that we can um safe right and protect the people that are navigating through the web3
space because in my opinion it's the it's the ones with the education on the ground in the community
that actually have the experiences to know what to avoid what is actually the sketchy type um things
to look out for and so with with all the liquidity that could be coming in soon uh it's definitely going
to be scary interesting interesting data mining incentivized by snitch to earn let's hear from
warrior what you got for us man good afternoon everyone or gm dm um yeah you know like where i'm
at on this is kind of it's going to come back to a number i'm gonna throw a number out it's not a real
number it's to make a point but you know 95 of human beings are centered on self-preservation
and then a great percentage of those individuals are striving for some amount of power whatever that power
means in terms of their definitions right and so the fact is that this space has already been doing
this people are paid to fund projects people are paid to docs people and i'm i'm coming from the
perspective of just by operating in this space independent of attempting to you know do things
within the business ethics framework attempting to do things what you know right understanding the
areas that we're pushing the boundaries on like every dev should be prepared to to face congress
i mean that's the way i put it right like or your respective government structure depending on the
world you are and and that's the hill that for you know some devs that really believe in what
they're doing are willing to die on so from my perspective like i don't understand i don't agree
with this but i don't understand why we're acting like it hasn't been happening it has been
happening and so i'm of the mindset that you're going to adopt people and you're going to do it
for the people that want to hurt them and their families versus doing it with authorities that will
be accountable for at least to some extent following a judicial process now mind you in the u.s i think
the criminal justice system is completely broken but it's still not people going to their houses and
shooting you know through the windows and there have been incidents even in the past year where these
things have happened so so again not happy for it look at the investments i believe are from
palantir as well so peter thiel like this is total cia fed type money coming i don't even want to say
coming into the space but poking its head out because it's been here since monedo there have
already been you know plenty of articles talking about you know dea and other agencies in the space so
it's not it's not new now the whole notion of like snitch to earn i get that we're applying street
terminology to try to dissuade people from court commission but you know this space wrecked people
so the the the the the broken spirits that have been left behind the broken spirits that are being
told that you got to get wrecked to learn the broken spirits that are saying you know like you're bad
that people are saying you're bad too like do i think they're going to participate 100 100 and that's
the sad truth where we are yo good take good take a nice push back like potentially these could actually
do like a a rebalancing of power in the space because to be honest human beings as marketeers like to
put it in their perspective they say that humans are moved by pain and painkillers right
uh and maybe social shame it's a way to kind of disincentivize people from becoming ruggers because
we had too many ruggers in this space so there is actually a positive outcome as well from these so
i think it's interesting uh i'm not gonna lie it might feel like bad for some people to get docs for
some other people it might feel deserving and for me it starts uh see like it seems like a spectrum
right now uh i don't know maybe there is no one answer fits all to all of this but let's give
priority to a new speaker today lady b what are your thoughts on this
hi guys oh my gosh i hope i i'm gonna be able to talk because i just got off of um of a run so i'm a
bit like tired but oh gm good evening everybody finally back to this space it's so good to see you
bank sensei you look good in the co-host role and oh my gosh i'm so sorry uh
darios thank you um it's it's great to meet you so guys um yeah and i have forgotten my point because
i got so excited i'm gonna talk to you okay so basically um what we were talking about i'm so
sorry i really we were talking about how these uh quote-unquote we call it snitch to earn to click
make but yeah absolutely so uh first of all snitches get stitches and this is what we should
actually uh remember about because snitching is never a good thing and where i'm from is um like
you know we always say that nobody like you know faces consequences for snitching on one another but
like you know people stick together and uh snitching is a bad thing in general so um
why would we try to do it in web free especially when web free is all about uh being transparent
when it comes to like you know um the transactions and everything but it's supposed to actually protect
your identity so um that's not really web free way to do things but like i don't know if you want
to do it do it if you don't want to do it um don't do it like i am on the side that doesn't want to do
it so i'm just gonna stick to my um snitching snitches get stitches rule and um another thing
is uh like there was there was there was something like i wanted to say something but i don't remember
why i wanted to say it so basically um with uh like you know what maybe another speaker and i'm gonna
get back when i when i gather my thoughts okay okay she said it not me snitches get stitches
that's what we heard um that's uh another opposing take i love this stuff base take
i like that base take not gonna lie let's throw it i think so let's give new speakers priority once
again sorry speakers that we're hanging in here thanks for your patience but it's just to incentivize
new speakers to come up oh miley welcome how do you feel about this new economy snitch to earn
snitch to earn that this is crazy man like i swear there's a lot of people that needs to get
docked for all the rug and they have done in this space i'm not gonna lie catch
uh a little joke i just said it could be very dangerous for this mr and dachshund thing because
like i said so many people um rug the space took a lot of people's money a lot of people's income
their their savings etc etc now what about those people that hand on the information that whoever
did dachshund you know um you know somebody could be somebody could be very down bad okay i got this
guy's information it's it's time for him to be down bad you know what i'm saying so we got we got to
think about it could be a plus side because like you said there's a lot of people that have been running
the space but it could be a very very negative side for the people that rug the space and like i said
you never know who's getting that information the wrong information could get could land in the wrong
no so it's just i want to think my perspective is a safety thing honestly yeah i couldn't agree
more and i have to get half off guys but i'm actually a data engineer um and so there's a lot
of incentives that i could have gotten over the years to um giving up information but there's more
incentives to not and so all i really want to say is like it's funny what lady was saying but it's true
it's not it's not a joke people who rat will get beat up or attacked um so don't just i i'm i don't
want to like leave on that but i'm going to have to uh so you know based and i would love to talk
about scrapping data bro like any day let's fucking go negative for a positive every time you know
vice versa so we got two votes for snitches get stitches one vote for doxing people i want to hear
more takes on this i think next up might just be digital i don't know the co-host might help me
uh case and they said yes so let's throw it to digital yeah yeah yeah i got a phone call earlier
but on this topic yeah first i don't know too much yeah so like i don't know what like so they're
basically buying people's data but i don't know what they're doing with it like are they selling it
to people or whatnot right like my main concern is like further down the line in terms of like
you know like with the cbdcs and like the whole governmental side of things and then being able
to like blacklist wallets right like so basically locking you out of the system where yeah you basically
can't use your crypto in anything that's worthwhile in it so that's my main concern with this whole
doxing people's wallets and and yeah man like mind your own business like seriously like yeah man
don't watch my wallet watch yours okay we got three votes for snitches get stitches and still one
for snitching or just uh how what's the right word for snitching not so much on a pejorative way
in four months one vote for informant three four snitches get stitches next up i'm not sure i think
it might be in click click let's hear from you fam uh all right so i think the first thing that needs
to be said is that we need to like really say what's happening on this arkham site and and and
although i think snitch to earn is like pretty funny i don't think it really describes like what's going
on the way like it implies like and the reason i say that is because it what is what's happening is
people can put up bounties on specific wallets and then people and then if you can supply that info
then you get paid that bounty or whatever it's not just like a blanket you know any information you can
give on any wallet is gonna like make you money um you know and maybe it maybe it will like devolve
into that eventually i don't know but i have a hard time believing that there's like uh like most
most people are boring average people are just average you know like we're all average in some way but
like there's not really any like meaningful information to be gained from like you know someone being able
to tie my on-chain activity to my real world identity and all right but i just want to jump in
real quick to contest this point so if you're in a group right i don't mean to interrupt you bro but i'm
just trying to the blanket thing say you're in a group right say everybody in this space is in one
group right we're all a little doubt right and yari does something illegal right and now they dox
yari's wallet someone put a bounty out and someone says hey and by the way i'm gonna give you one
fucking matic i'm gonna give you one lone schmeckle to dox everybody else that he's involved with and
now because of something i've done you're a dox too and can also be facing legal repercussions you
can be blacklisted by even transacting with me so that's why like just because it's one person and
we're like oh i want to out this person bro that's still not good for the space as a whole like doxing
is not if somebody doxed you right now your bank statements and everything you do right now would
you be happy about it i've i got bro my answer isn't even like fair but like i got like i i'm good
bro i'm good if i get dox that's why i rock my human pfp that's why click is literally my name my name
is dennis clicker you can read my find my resume it's linked right in my bio like you like i'm i'm
i for better or worse this is how i've chosen to live and like i don't have all right would you be
happy if someone put your family's information out there yes or no and what like what what's the
context though like because for real like i'm not trying to be facetious but it's like this stuff has
already been happening just because all this does is bring it out of the shadows into the limelight
but whenever it happens click people will get outed like even when you say hey i'm doxing this person
regardless of what the fuck they did people will come up and say bro i don't like this because
you're doxing them regardless of what they did you couldn't have done anything fucking personal
tell me you couldn't have came and fucking punched me in the mouth for me to need to dox you
you didn't sign this transaction if somebody gets rugged hey bro go to the fucking police
the police can try to deal with coinbase like it's been this dox darn thing is bullshit i can just agree
to disagree bro like just because you're doxed i do things in real estate so if you look my name up
you'll find me i don't give a fuck if i'm good wrong or not i have three four five year olds and if you put
my three-year-old fucking daughter on here it's a problem every time regardless of how i feel if i
did wrong or not so that shouldn't even be an option for some fucking slimy pasty nerds on the internet
to be able to do for a moment click click just to break just to bridge what yadios is saying like
people can be set up too right like people can be straight set up to be the fall people and they
have families like i i mean honestly like that's already happened right so uh just real problem
but what i'm saying is that all of the things that you mentioned like they're this could they
could already happen like there's not like this creates some pretty perverse incentives i'll give
you that but you know if if we're all but click bro if we don't value like like but but click i guess
where this from my perspective we gotta look at the other side of this this is about normalizing it
at scale as we bridge into web 2 and that becomes legislation and policy like i don't know but i'm
saying the incentive structure the incentive structure when you put money into the picture
bad shit happens so when you when you're normalizing and standardizing it against a web
to my kind of introduction that is going to validate legislation you guys think that i support
this or something or that i think this is like a good thing no no no no okay because i feel like
i'm being lectured at why it's bad and like i fully understand why it's bad here like but bro we're on
space and i'm just providing you a contrarian take you're saying it's not a big deal to you and i'm
saying it's a huge deal to me and you're saying well i have nothing to hide uh i'm saying it's well
the this shouldn't come as like a shock to people i guess it may be a better way to put it because
this these data mining and harvesting and buying and selling of people's information that's already
been going on you can like everyone in here should just assume that their government wherever they are
at knows if they really want to that they can figure out everything you've been doing online so
like i think this the the good the positive about this is that it brings these types of conversations
to the forefront like we're in here discussing this now which is good yeah so quick and just to be clear
what i am saying is that this actually plays into legislation and that is generally just kind of
different or at least a layer above what everyone else is saying because when laws come into effect that
govern how this is done and whether something is a misdemeanor or not if someone gets hurt
it really starts with whether there's been an entire market right that has accepted it and and whether
the people that are winning in that market are putting the politicians up to write the legislation
so that is a whole nother layer of this so i know it's been happening i don't agree how it's happened
but like companies like this that are backed by palantir and others these are the companies that are
going to set the standards for how this is legalized you know and the laws around it well i mean like
dude like there's uh there's there's a readily available dark web for people that that all kinds
of shit on these different marketplaces like if someone really wanted to they could have paid
someone like to find out information this just makes this just makes it easier and approachable which
is kind of gross which is very gross i don't like it but we need right so so in a society where
everybody so like but in a society where we're talking i'm talking government layer here and like
how we're evolving socially around these technologies i get what you're saying it's never going to stop
bad people will always be present you know people will always be set up in any system people will
more capital will always win right like i get it but like there is an impact at scale with like
accepting this as kind of like the status quo for for for crypto without any type of like ethical
framework to operate under and the cool thing about legislation even if there's a ton of corrupt and
politicians is dude we're all here like hold on isn't that funny like that point i resonates with me but
like the you know what's the one thing that everyone can say for sure about everyone else in this room
right now if they're if they're here for the if they're here because they're in web 3 or whatever
it's probably because we're all here to like we like it when we make money and number go up right
so like if that's like the one unifying thing like how could i don't know bro numbers been going down
hold on one second hold on real quick and i hate to do this because we have plenty of hands up and i
really don't like to do this so you know this whole conversation we're just here having a conversation
about it it's cool to have different takes you know yes we're here we're all adults no one's
ganging up on anybody uh i just don't want to get too charged with this so if we can go to the other
hands and see what some other takes are i don't know whose hand was up next um make make what's your
take make yo can i finish go ahead click i mean whatever everybody wants it click i think you're just
i know you're playing devil's advocate i'm cool with it uh ultimately that's what we're trying to
do we're trying to think about this on all sides and i'll just chat chip in real quick because
first of all i pay my taxes i pay my crypto taxes i turn them in you know so at the end of the day
i'm doxxed uh and i got an artist profile which shows my face y'all can find me so jgriff120 joshua
griffler here let's go um but the reality is there are a couple people i wouldn't mind finding out
like the dude who stole you know i clicked on a bad tweet that somebody had to kyc a credit card
or something and then i got my wallet drained and i would love to know who that mf was who got
you know probably a hundred east from people from one bad fake blur tweet so who are we looking for
are we looking for me and you i don't think anybody's looking for me the web people want to see my shit
i don't know that it matters but if we're going for bad actors how how are we getting bad actors out of
this space is that the question is that the actual question i don't think most of you guys are like
running around hiding bags that anybody gives a shit up like maybe they do but i doubt it i doubt
there are very many bad actors here so i think the bigger question is is it about snitching on people
who are stealing from us because i know for a fact you know this week alone i must have been a part of
15 20 fake tweets between a kid called beast between um you know d gods and all this fake bullshit
i'm sick of that i wouldn't mind if twitter put a little more effort into doxing some people who are
who are doing bad shit and have blue check marks so i don't know i think there's room for it i think
maybe doing it to everybody doesn't make sense but don't we want to catch these fucking fools
that are out here robbing people every day slowing us down giving people more cause not to be a part
of this i don't know i don't know how i feel about it i like that take but i would also want to give
click a chance to finish let's give click a chance to finish his take i know that's gonna change the
score it's gonna make it five against three in regards to snitching to earn versus informants
but there is a point to be made there uh i'm not gonna lie uh make also brought up a good point
but i want to hear click finish his point take it away fam yeah so
first point was just that i wanted to uh point out that it's that it's not the way it's set up right
now is not to just you can turn in anyone's info and get paid for it someone needs to be on the
receiving end of that they need to be interested enough to put money up whatever um now uh the one
positive thing i was saying about like the conversation at large we were having is that
there's at least this brings it to the the forefront so people can see just how easy it is
for their information to get stolen or doxed or otherwise taken from them without their
true consent so it should tighten up everyone's opsec and just make you think twice about what
information you choose to make available because at the end of the day you know uh not 100 not true
100 of the time but like if if i don't choose to put something out online and i'm careful about
who i talk to about it offline there's things about me that will never be public knowledge on
the internet like and that's because i chose to make it that way now you can't try you know again
not 100 of the time for everything but like just be careful about what info you put online like i've
never operated ever under the assumption that the things i do are truly anonymous ever since i was
like 13 and posting on message boards and shit like i knew that if someone really wanted to they
could probably figure out who i am so like it's no operating that way has always held make me made me
held myself accountable online for the most part so like you know i prepared for like worst case scenario
and anyways i'm rambling a bit thanks for letting me finish um oh last point one last quick point
don't we want our on-chain records to give us uh some sort of like provenance or like reputation
or like uh like social score in a sense like we need to it's we don't it's on one hand we don't want
our information doxed or you know made public or whatever but on the other hand we want you know
we want the on-chain records to act as uh mean something right otherwise because that's reputation
is all we have and if you've been around for years and you haven't rugged anyone you know you're
probably more trustworthy than some random schmuck who created his wallet a month ago and is
you know whatever uh i yield the floor yeah i like that last point however i would just add
that's why i'm bullish on zero knowledge technology i want a reputation system that doesn't put my
information out there at the same time he kind of vouches for me as being a good actor if he believes
i'm a good actor maybe they think i'm a bad actor for some reason i don't know i never tried to do
shit to nobody in this space i move docs because my conscience is clear but like i i don't i don't
demand that from nobody and i don't understand there are good people that don't want to do that to be
honest like i don't know for instance like uh on this stage i know lady b and k sensei aren't docs
and i don't mind that they are not docs like my interactions with them never led me to think
that they could be like some evil actor in this space i don't know that's just me i tend to trust
first and when people give me a reason not to trust maybe i won't trust right well so i think they can
do whatever they want uh i'll support humans i i don't try to make different rules for different
people but yes uh what i'm trying to do it oh shit uh now we're getting hot uh but yeah like
same applies to yarios i don't know if yarios is docs or not if he doesn't want to docs i think it's
okay for him not to docs as well but i don't know forcing people to docs just sounds a bit crazy you
know kane mayfield no no i gotta introduce you to him anyways okay uh let's throw it to let's go to
these hands uh uh k sensei you got a co-host privilege then pick a hand because i don't know
the order let's get it queen yo uh i just want to say i'm actually like on the internet i'm hella docs i
just don't like i like having separate identities for places if anyone wants to see my face you
literally have to like click three times and it's right there um i don't really care uh but
um yeah it's kind of nice when people don't see it right away maybe uh a degree of separation helps
but yeah that's all i wanted to say uh i'm not you're all nice people so if you want to meet me
like face to face you can uh yeah let's go to him i didn't mean to put you on the spot don't take me
the wrong way i was just saying because like there are legitimate cases where people just don't want
to be docs and to be honest if you didn't want to be docs let's just assume that and you didn't even
explain why it's still legitimate it's none of anyone's business why you do not want to be docs either
you or let's suppose me let's suppose i still use my d gods if i didn't want to be docs maybe i just
don't want to be docs my only thing about doxing that makes me think oh should this person be docs
is where they come up and they tell me yo i'm about to bridge the gap between web 2 and web 3
and for that reason ben i need you to mint this 800 pfp it's gonna change your life your branding
you're gonna be tapped into a great fucking community at that point i'm like oh well
wait wait wait my man i need you to be docs i want you on arkham intel i want that snitch to
earn to work on you i don't know imagine when they do release like a the farm for it though right and
it's just like open season on everyone we're gonna be like blur farming our identities and shit dude
it's gonna be fucking wild oh you mean you mean to tell us that you don't know blur is already
farming our data is that what you're telling us click maybe because they just posted an announcement
now shit dude they're gonna be getting they're gonna be eating our lunch again you guys let's what
are we doing blur already does that they told us straight up they do not respect the do not track
me request from your browser so in case you didn't know now you know blur doesn't give a fuck
about all that shit but let's throw it to ape new speaker on the building gm let me howdy howdy let's
get rowdy look let me ask you something really quick before i say bing bada boom retweet the fucking room
let me just say what the fuck is going on i left for a fucking day and now we have a snitch turn
who the fucking what the fuck is going on with that three thank you fuck i don't know i'm trying
to figure it out myself like snitch turn what okay someone elaborate i've been listening i've
been trying not to come off mute i'm sorry i'm fucking lost man if you if you hurt my feelings
i can go to arkham intel and say i got some money tell me where this mfr is so i can send somebody
some eath to come get you whacked no regardless of if you did right or wrong that's what the fuck
can't they do wallet hacks now too then because think about it if someone gets all your everything
bro yeah yeah we can do all that we can do all but here's the thing as a as a fucking black man
with the dreadlocks i don't want y'all to instantly fucking see that and be turned off of my intelligence
like i know what the fuck i'm talking about because i took the time to learn it so just because i use a
silly lizard smoking weed as a fucking profile picture doesn't mean that i'm out for evil but it
also doesn't mean that i want some fucking loser to go say oh well i'm gonna dox this man and get his
address and fucking bro i don't want my address public no from here like that's crazy i don't
care if i'm good bad or ugly i couldn't do whatever i'm gonna do but i have totally innocent kids bro
totally innocent kid absolutely and the problem is that's a super valid point i don't know man
that's crazy what's your take yeah i mean you know personally i was just holding my take listening
to many people stakes i mean for me it's all a spectrum and it's how much of it you dox right
like i mean if i mean i don't know where elon musk lives you know and to be honest i don't care what's
his address type of shit or neither him or zuckerberg but i use both their apps and shit like that and
i don't know if i didn't know who they were maybe i wouldn't be so comfortable doing other things i
don't know if i was in the size if to purchase or not a tesla car maybe i wouldn't if the founder
wasn't dogs i would be yo this is weird i don't know but like at least know the face know the name
i think that's fair who they are working with who's part of the board whatever but then again
i i don't think it's fair for me or nobody to try to know uh where they live and where the kids live
and all of that thing which is just creepy it's fucking weird i don't know uh for me it's just
about being reasonable uh i think anything too much is bad guys like too we need water to be alive
and too much water makes us drown right so like this just goes to tell you that everything in life
needs to be balanced right but same goes for doxing too much doxing becomes too much right like
you don't want to endanger someone's family because you know there are crazy people out there not in
my country like in my country people don't do shit like that we cannot have guns and stuff like that
but i've heard crazy stories about people in other country not to make it too dark but real quick
that things will scare you if you come from a country like mine right so that's kind of where
i'm trying to empathize with people because i understand that people might live in different
realities than mine so i don't want to like quote unquote judge the situation as if we were all living
in portugal which is a super pacifist country in which the government might just unrug a bank that
just rub the population rebranded to a new name and everything is good you know that's how things
work out here in portugal if that was france yo those guys would take it to the streets destroy the
car settings on fire it would get crazy i'm not gonna lie french people don't take shit home and
you know what i mean in portugal things are different in america i imagine they are even more
different because the laws are even crazier out there compared to here so personally i cannot like
make a generalized statement of how i think this should happen but i do believe that a little bit
of doxing should happen at least the face and the name that's all i ask for when somebody's asking for
some millies you know unless it was like a meme coin thingy okay it's a shit coin i don't know but like
if you legit coming out like valhalla oh we're trying to take on twitch we're gonna shut twitch
down because we're gonna innovate and make it about a community bro come on fam or pixelmon they
take 96 million dollars bro think about it 90 fucking six million dollars that's too much money
for my man's not to be docs i don't know maybe the face and the name but maybe some people will
disagree with me and that's totally fair so let's go through these hands yo k sensei who was next i
don't know i need help help me too um phantom it was phantom okay let's go phantom yeah thank you guys
and again like so much going on so let me try to balance the scales right let me play the devil's
advocate again and i bring to you a new term whistleblower so the idea of snitching right or any
sort of asshole take is just to be rude to test your reality right they're observing something and you
don't see it as the right way you're like hey that's not true but the reality of it is the reality
somewhere between what they're observing and what you're observing now if they're really trying to
help you they will be very objective in it if they're trying to be a true asshole they're trying
to manipulate you so it's about figuring out what is the real reality that they're picking up on
and then seeing that so my hope is to try and build a open source intelligence blockchain it's called
oscent it's already out there and this is sort of intelligence that is open source so public
information and basically it is about generating quality data and what i see with arkham is that
is something like that right it's an on-chain intelligence exchange so you go you provide
intelligence and then there is basically a tokenization and a value proposition right so
it need not be used for all nefarious purposes but the problem what click was saying is that this
was dark web right why don't dark web people get docs because you get docs back right because there
is danger to going on the dark web so the whole thing is what is the tangible threat to me right
if i put a video of me in my house i am giving away my geo tag how am i not giving away so much
information in all my interactions digitally so there is 100 information out there publicly about us
it's just about someone going and saying you were here you were here you know you do facebook check-ins
that's that's literally shouting out to the world i am here physically right so on digital spaces you
can be anywhere no one cares at most your wallets get drained sure that's just numbers but tomorrow for
you to lose tangible value that's the real threat so let's remember that guys like blockchain is all
great and this is going to represent our value tomorrow but the real tangibility where the blockchains
are really vulnerable will be where it is connected to reality whether it is human decisions whether it
is ai all these things are all about figuring out where the technology meets reality
i like that thing i like it quite balanced and bringing some different perspectives to this
but i wouldn't be able to cast a vote neither to the informants or uh i forgot the other name
the whistleblower is an informant whistleblower also that or or snitching i don't know which side is
your vote but that's okay it's okay to be neutral and balanced and lady b was waving at me i don't
know if she needs to go if it's okay with you guys i'm gonna just throw it to her so yeah lady b take
it away fam no i'm just entitled and uh impatient so um thank you so much
nah like i have actually remembered what i wanted to say got like you know a bit of water and um yeah
it was it was a long run anyways um so about like this this um idea of doxing or something so um
let's imagine that we live in this utopia where there is no crime where nobody's gonna threaten
your grandma over a few if you made because you live in a first world country and you're perfectly
safe and a few if it's like you know nobody cares about it so um suddenly there is a person who comes
from a space like you know just just a freaking lizard and they decide to um take advantage of
all the safety of all this like you know people not expecting that anything bad would happen to them
because they all know everything about each other so why would you even do something like that
and well what they do is they find a homeless person and i'm so sorry but it's gonna be a very
brutal example but this is like real life example they find a homeless person they make it dress well
they get them washed they shave them they look really good and they actually register the company under their
name and what happens of course this person is doxed of course this person you know everything about
this person you have their address or you know that like you know this person doesn't really have an
address but everything can be done maybe i didn't want to make that joke but yeah go ahead yeah i mean
like you know like everything can be skipped everything can be like done either over the counter or
whatever like we are not getting into details right so um do you think that even if everyone is doxed
you will know for sure the identity of a person who is actually the owner and the founder of this
project because if it was me who was in those kind of conditions a founder of a project i would
actually try to figure out to either pay somebody or hire somebody to pretend they are the founder of
the project so i am not in the risk why because it's not because i am trying to
rock people or it's not because i'm trying to like you know scam people it's because i am just scared for
my own safety i am scared for the safety of my kids of my grandma of my family because maybe a few if
is not a lot for me but for somebody who lives across the street a few if could change his life and they
are not going to like you know stop themselves from trying to take some like you know risky moves to
actually get it away from me and that's only like one example but another thing is um then you have
mentioned public shaming and i know this is not exactly what you have what you meant but um let's let's
just look at what's going on in china with all this social score and everything that's like people
have their bank accounts connected to their faces to um like you know whenever they cross a red light
they are getting like some kind of fee because they are behaving not in the in the way they should
so what does it stop them from crossing their red light does it actually stop them from trashing the
street there's actually like you know stop them from i don't know like not separating the trash
no not really they just got used to that and they have decided they don't freaking care because maybe
they have nothing to lose um so i i do not actually think that this this whole idea of like public doxing
could be could be any any good even though uh when it comes to me like ben you you know my identity
like like for me it's not a problem because i i don't do anything that i would be ashamed of
and if anyone wants to get to know my identity like during the call when especially like during a
business call i always introduce myself because i see it as respectful i have nothing to hide
yada yada what i don't want to be doxed is my wallet because i don't i don't think that anyone
needs to like has any kind of interest or like should know about my bags what am i what am i holding
like it's pointless and also why am i not doxed on twitter as my name my address and stuff because
i don't want people to look at my pfp and think oh she's pretty or oh she's ugly like you know this
kind of thing i don't want i don't want people to think about me in in in this way that's why there
is like a cartoon pfp and that's why i i can just like be myself and be judged for what i actually want
to say over my looks or the lack of my looks or whatever else so that's why i do actually
appreciate the anonymous aspect of web free and i do believe that this is the core i would like to
to take care of and i would like to i would like it to grow and especially like you know 2023 like we
have kyc everywhere like everyone is after us like i really believe that this little tiny piece
of privacy that we still have it's it's just like you know something good for us and like that's my
take i like that i like that you were cooking uh yeah i actually had a call with uh lady v and
she definitely dogs to me and gave me her motives of why she didn't want to be dogs and despite knowing
that i didn't just want to say that in public because that's your own business you share that
with me i appreciate that but i wouldn't just say that uh and it's it's okay that you shared your
reason why and it actually makes sense to to the example i was giving before of me knowing people in
this space that don't move in a dog's way but still i respect that because yeah like i think
that's a legitimate reason you want people to judge quote-unquote judge you based on your actions
and not on your looks and that's fair why not like why why mix that up and if people want to mix that up
i i don't care either like i mean do what makes you happy uh you don't you shouldn't feel forced
to be doxxed or undoxed so i feel like that's quite legitimate and yes let's throw it to these hands
again i'm gonna take a chance at being wrong i'm not perfect neither was jesus i'm gonna be honest
and i'm gonna just throw it to steve take it away fam i know you got a banger take let's get it
yo that's good um i don't know if you threw it in the right direction or not but i'll take it
um i think with the whole doxxing scenario is you know people will want to dox someone
for no justifiable reason whatsoever right i think i used to play video games you beat someone at a
video game they're doxing you send them this is 2010 like they're doxing you sending pieces to
your house that immediately bro people in video games when i beat them they don't dox me they curse my
mama bro when you're slapping them constantly i hate this guy right then then they're sending
pizzas to your house this was late 2000s early 2010s when i was playing um yeah sending pieces
to your house but then to go to yaris's point it's like you're not them putting just that person in
danger if you have children if you have family then you're putting those people at danger as well
people will want to dock someone for absolutely no reason just because they can and if they're
immature and they haven't got the money that's a mom and dad's credit card they haven't even got
the money for it but they'll still do it um so i'm completely against uh doxing it's definitely not
the best practice to say yeah let's dot people for money um there should obviously not be nefarious
players within the web3 space but they are and to go to the point of whistleblowing i think the idea
of whistleblowing is to you know weed out those bad actors so if you're in a big organization and
the organization isn't acting in the best interest of the public or in the greater good or whatever it
may be then you're gonna whistleblow you may go to the regulators you may go to the the chief ceo who
doesn't know anything about it so i think that's slightly different to doxing someone like because
you want to right so i like that it's instead of being a bounty let's fucking dox somebody for the
sakes of doxing it's more like you give them the benefit of the doubt they do a bad action they rug a
project for a couple millis and then you dox them it's not the other way around giving the
possibility for unreasonable doxing but yeah sorry for cutting you off keep on going now you're good
i'll just wrap it up anyway i'll pass it over to someone else with their hands up because i know
other people are going to have good takes in the space as well it's been a pleasure listening to
phantom i know warriors can have a banging take those i'm sure is going to provide invaluable
insights so i'll pass on to you ben to pick another hand uh you you just you just picked the
hand dozer take it away fam let's get it yes i've been actually speaking about this for i think all
day even yesterday night um uh in a few spaces i think we've clicked as well this morning and i'm
i'm like i just want to say where i stand first um for who doesn't know yet but i'm like a big
advocate about privacy i believe that privacy must not be secrecy but everybody should have the right to
you know uh manage their own privacy and and decide what is revealed or not revealed to the external
world but um i was a bit surprised because i i went to dive deep into the white paper right of uh arkham
and i was surprised because what they did they implemented it in a very good way i need to cut some
slack uh to them um is a very decentralized way to find a kind of a little like truth you know so you
have a staking system and a bounty induction system where you can say okay this information is true or
not uh which is which is actually you know they did a very good good job and it's a problem that
probably with the advent of ai is going to be even more and more existing but another thing that i
was surprised is that they released a statement where uh they said that is answering some questions
about is it going to be a docs to earn and they said no it's not docs to earn actually we are not
going to allow any private off-chain information to be discussed or post or bounty about but we are
it's just about on-chain intel i left to be honest with you i don't understand what this means because
i cannot understand what could be that intel and is what i'm really trying to understand because they
said no no phone numbers no address no chain data which is great which is what i was extremely worried
which i'm still extremely worried because it's like even if they're not they can say whatever they
want and then you know keep doxing people right um they they're like feds they sound like feds etc
but if this is not the intel that you're gonna reveal what exactly is the intel that people should
discuss for and um actually yeah maybe like i'm gonna also pin the the announcement was like an fhu
uh where they answer a few questions and i'm like super confused like if this is not the information
that people are gonna buy and sell what is it yeah just to add to your point what confuses me it's
not even what they say it's actually their actions because for instance the referral program that has
been leaking people information in which they just did a base 64 not even a shot 256 or uh elliptic curve
encryption that for for layman's terms that's just saying oh i'm gonna hire security for you
and instead of giving them guns guns i give them uh kitchen knives type of shit you know and you'd be
like bro are you sure you want them to protect me that's kind of how they're dealing with the people's
data they're not even making a minimum bare effort to encrypt that guys if you go on google right now
you can just write decode base 64 and it will give you back the original data of whatever you know
like and and same thing to encoding to base 64 you don't encode shit on base 64 and call it protected
data that's a fucking tech joke uh i don't know how to feel about them but yeah back to you dozer
no exactly i think you know it's there is a lot of a lot of concerns because they're dropping the
ball on a lot of things uh exactly as you said um on on another also they call about de-anonymization
right if you call about de-anonymization what there is to de-anonymize if not doxing people
and then you say you're not gonna dox people um i mean it's it's it's super confusing like
uh and also there is something else that a bit i'm a bit worried that is even though on the white
paper there is a lot of like good decentralized mechanism we are talking about a token sale that
is launching on finance and there is a farming mechanism which is like also very very shady
uh you know because like how can you ensure that you know you are creating a decentralized protocol
where there is not a fair lunch how did you ensure you know that the people are like real people
um you know like you you call for de-anonymization and you call for on-chain but you have a farming
method that is completely web 2 there is not proof of personhood into how you know you decide
like yes they say we we are gonna we implemented anti-civil mechanism yes and how do i know that you
how do you know that i i i have you know maybe like 10 accounts right um you know like from like
yesterday when they told me this i created 10 accounts with like proton email and they started
farming and then i stopped farming because they told me that the snapshot was already taken for the
airdrop so i said okay i'm not gonna waste my time i'm not gonna farm this airdrop right so perfect
like how do i know that they they don't know that is my 10 proton mail account is me you know
you don't know you don't know you know so i've already proven wrong what they're saying
maybe it's another topic you know
no i actually like that take as the uk guys would say you don't know uh yeah i agree with that uh
yo basically this kyc thing it's a spectrum guys uh lady b gave an example in which you could pay
somebody to dox for you and also you have this thing oh you wanna make sure it's one wallet per
person on chain and emails and whatever whatever guess what my man's just gonna spin up 20 emails
on proton email and yeah bye bye that security measure whatever you wanted to do with it so yeah
fair take i'm not gonna lie it's it's a whole spectrum and you gotta trust the method of kyc there
is no uh failure proof kyc there are only kyc systems that have overcome certain failure points but there are
still existent failure points that nobody has figured out not even binance i'm gonna be honest so
yeah uh spiders has been throwing a bunch of emojis and i want to hear from him what you got for us
and the leaderboard right now it's seven for snitch to earn his bet and five for whistle
spider take it away yeah appreciate it everyone's take i'm it's i'm kind of doubling back on lady b's
take as well as what i was initially raising my hand to say it's you know i'm a privacy advocate is
what i am i'm just a normal guy i work in health care and so when i come on these spaces that's what
i do we're trying to hold on to the little tiny piece of privacy that we still have in this space
and it's a centralized point for what we're all looking for the thing that i want all of us to
think about right now is you know emerging markets are going to have nefarious behaviors
and mechanisms always it's just the product of emerging markets this is a mechanism this is a
nefarious mechanism what is stopping us in this space where we define ourselves as builders on an
everyday basis stopping to build a mechanism to fight this building mechanisms to actually safeguard
people uh from being doxed and you know future data mining scams and things of that nature so
fair take fair take i feel like yeah just like other people have mentioned on this space
maybe you just don't want to dox because you don't want to dox who cares like
and bro like you work on health care you do a good thing for society and what you're doing
doesn't require you to be doxing this space i don't i don't think nobody should force you to do that
yeah i want to echo what yarios was saying it is really just not about an everyday basis person
everyone should have that security and they should maintain that security but i also think that there
needs to be efforts to create these safeguards to stop different because that's exactly what this
is so well i totally agree on the spectrum basis that ben was talking about as well um and so yeah
that was that was just my point there yeah i like that i like that not gonna lie i feel like if people
aren't here uh doing things that expose order to huge financial risks due to the trust they are
demanding there is no need to know level of doxing and in your case i i'm totally in the same page as
you but let's hear from these last two hands before we rug this space uh warrior take it away fam
yeah just a quick question ben uh cabo bendy
sorry what was that cabo verdi yes sir okay that's where i'm from that's where i'm from
my man's dox me i'm gonna cry i'm gonna cry now and just because he doxed me already pinned up top
the post to the next space tomorrow set the reminder so you can come in here and speak with
a doc's host from cape birdie yeah some islands in the west africa let's fucking go i mean history
right everybody who doesn't know about cape bird cabo bendy it's a good history lesson there um
independence for 25 years right let's go uh but so yeah i just wanted to to add you know if you look
at the whistleblower programs because phantom brought it up um let's say you're gonna you know
report a financial institution that's a long process i mean it could take six months before
you even receive a reply as to whether they're going to investigate it can take years for them
to go through a responsible investigation before the funds are even given which is why so few
whistleblower cases have even been won um and it's very lucrative for the winner but with that said
like there's there's not enough even at a pub in the public sector right to actually do it the right
way uh so i just want to be clear that like i respect the uh kind of premise of like what a good
whistleblower program looks like um especially against these corporate corporations but at this
level like there's no way this is the right way right like because because at the end of the day it
wouldn't be profitable you'd be burning through millions of dollars before you even saw the
amount of like data to validate the model and then get institutions to buy into it especially
government um and then you know moving on to i just want to draw an analogy here um and it might
be uncomfortable for some i mean it's not for me i certainly fall on the more um kind of left side
of this at least it's not something i practice but it is something that i believe in terms of liberation
that people should have the freedom to do if there were a system that were just and fair which is
look at the sex industry um and so you know you look at people they're like oh let's legalize this
thing that the the system because pimps are exploiting and and you see all of the the violence
happening but and then when they legalize it you know at the end of the day companies become the
pimps and the exploiters and so this system right now prematurely jumping into it kind of creates a
medium for x you know extortation x you know extorting people and like state actors are going to be
using it to extort people and it's a foreign policy issue and it is a legal issue and for us to and i
say us i i just want to be very transparent here like for people in the u.s and in canada and certain
countries to not think any artist should consider this what if you someone purchases a piece of your
art and what if there is a tangible physical portion of that and what if they are in a place that
that's sanctioned and you're not supposed to interact with them and it's 10 years ago right like what
does that do are you then labeled someone who's interacted with you know a country that has
sanctions like they're real real repercussions and do you blame the artist is trying to make a living
and pay rent and ultimately does have value in in their art as a collection item like no you shouldn't
however given that there's no guardrails that is a level of leverage that can be weighed against
future u.s senators future u.s congressional folks right like and i'm talking u.s context here it is
dangerous uh and you can look at cannabis marijuana industry right where it's the same thing is
happening you have generations of people that have been in prison for possession many of them aren't
getting their charges dropped at the state levels and yet an entire industry is being built up but if
you look at various states that are building out those licenses for distribution and and and and
agriculture right or at least you know growing it it's being concentrated in the hands of of a few
people and so now that it's being legalized like a few people get in but there's still people in jail
for it right and then that is that is like the the problem i see here that historically this kind of
information leverage might be used against people even in times when web 3 and web 2 kind of merge
more effectively so i'm concerned about that piece of it and again it's it's at a whole nother level but i
i do think systems and and and legal systems in particular i'm not under this illusion that this
world will ever exist without having some structures that it has to exist within uh and then uh yeah and
then you know lastly like i just i you know i don't know if there's a right way to go after
bad people except just going after bad people like there's a displacement of accountability and we have
to consider that right so and this is where i i get concerned i know that there's a reasonable
level of like do your own research you know watch your own back be smart but we're also
onboarding people that have come from systems that have not provided adequate you know education in
terms of giving them the skill sets to do research effectively to to to learn at at the rate that you need
to learn when you're in the space to not get like messed up and and and so when you look at this
platform i'm telling you like to see companies that are in any way even associated slightly with it that
have big dollars and government relations in it like i can tell you right now like it makes sense that
they're doing it because who will be accountable if something goes wrong if if if government begins
an investigation into someone and they're not a public figure and that information gets leaked
and there's a libel suit and that case for whistleblower whatever is lost you know by the government on
their end if they actually go through with it that person has a huge case for them right so there's
accountability that that agency is going to be accountable who's accountable for this so this is
where they turn defy on its head and and and it i mean we were susceptible to it right like this whole
area has been susceptible to it i don't know there's anything going back except to just generally
understand that like this is why we need to fast track what we're doing in the space people that
are not docs here should be in their docs lives like engaging in these processes legislation all this
right that ultimately is going to enable this or put some type of guardrails around it
love that i love that very balanced and holy sick take yeah there are multiple considerations
no one size fits all solution unfortunately i got bad news for those that don't condone snitch to earn
and also for those that support whistleblowers and informants it's a very complex matter not gonna lie
a bunch of different moving pieces to look into but yo phantom you got a major responsibility the
last fucking take off the space before we rug it no pressure though take it away homie
yeah let's go guys let's go so the hot take is welcome to the game of thrones of web 3 right so
the whole point is that this is what is happening this is information staking you are putting your ideas
out there publicly and you're hoping that there is a market for your idea right so you're trying to
create a place where you're trying to create intelligence marketplaces which basically have
valuable data right there is data out there but someone has to sit and make the data of quality
so that quality curation requires some value add and for that time we have to give people some
incentives so i agree that these guys have started out wrong and they have a very poor security
but i think that's very okay and that's where someone has to start and it's just upgrading right you
figure out where your vulnerabilities and risks exist you have to be aware of how much you can
control them and at the end of the day life is uncertain guys there is no guarantees right so the
understanding that i have particularly is that decentralization is going to bring the politicization
of the digital tribes right so the idea is that we need people who can go in between all these tribes
and still keep a check on reality they're going to be the assholes right they're going to be like
hey these guys are doing this thing to manipulate our decentralized community and everyone's going
to be like how dare you say that about my tribe but it's the truth sometimes right and maybe inside
the echo chamber it's not visible but then someone is whistleblowing it right so we have to understand
that these kind of things are happening on dark web because it was that easy and the only thing was
there was no effective way to legally pay them and now with nfts we are creating this layer right
in that privacy layer these kind of use cases start getting enabled so you have to understand that when
you enable new systems you're enabling new possibilities of exploitation so it is about
like recognizing our vulnerabilities fixing the risks and effectively the idea is first make a feasible
solution then we optimize it right we have to discuss these things if we don't discuss it
there is no consensus that will make our objective we all will just say my tribe has the best idea
but we will never put the ideas together to fight right we have to bring it to a fight somewhere
and these intelligence like community forums are going to be where you'll have like really objective
intellectual fights in between these ideas and there's going to be some value for those fights
for all the communities to say okay we are still human and we can see this and then change a little
bit perhaps right so that is why i say whistleblowing because snitching is there right there are a lot of
snitches the reason why they got stitches is because they were vulnerable right we are giving them digital
protection guys the privacy is the digital protection we all want and we are all willing to snitch now
we are willing to snitch because the repercussion is easy we go comment we say you screw up you are
doing nothing your content sucks that is snitching on them right maybe they acknowledge it maybe they
say you suck back to you so hold on that's criticism i don't be out here snitching i'll be out here
criticizing people but yeah correct correct but but like other people see that criticism as snitching right
like it's about informing you of a different reality than what your community is like you you can get
caught up i think i've gotten caught up in a lot of these communities and it's very easy to get lost
and they just try to like have a lot of emotional engagement and the problem is that that emotional
engagement is the human connection which we kind of take oh let us like let that identity take over for us
right we get so associated with each of the digital identities my twitter identity my facebook identity
but it's just us it's just us representing ourselves everywhere guys let's be real let's be human so that's
my take for tonight thank you for coming thank you thank you you and everyone in here give please
give the co-hosts and the speakers a follow today for me it was an amazing discussion this is a super
relevant topic in my opinion uh why because like at the end of the day web 3 has promised us so many
things and one of them has definitely been some sort of privacy and i i know this is a polarizing topic
i know you probably heard some takes that are not aligned with your personal values please please do
not take that to heart i agree so much with what phantom was saying just now which uh bottom line is like
amongst these agreements we can come up with a more complete and robust solution that takes care of
most use cases and corner cases right because just like you guys were pointing out there are some
corner cases that need to be covered on why this needs to happen and also some corner cases of why
shouldn't happen on a free-for-all way because it could put people in danger and stuff like that but
it could also save from some people from getting rugged we we we've heard so many times that
tinfoil theory on how the same actors be launching these dj plays yada yada taking people's money and
stuff like that maybe you would want to know who are they and you would want to know who are these
marketeers who tell not marketeers who are these founders that declare themselves as only marketeers
and then blame the developer they blame dave they tell you oh i would like to give you the money that i
don't have i'm sure y'all heard these take a couple months ago um i know i'm making a joke out of it
but it's not funny uh people have lost money and i've lost money too in this space we all lost money
we've all had a friend that lost money so there is a good side to it but also we've heard some
plausible reasons of why it shouldn't happen in a random way because people got family they want to
protect and their family shouldn't be doxxed i i don't condone the actions of ban.e i'm not ban.e by the way
my name is just ban because it's it's half of my real name my actual name is that ban warrior just
doxxed me probably he reversed google search my image and found my linkedin i don't know whatever
but like my name is actually ban but going back to the point ban.e when he got doxxed i actually seen
a picture of his daughter which i was like damn bro like maybe this was too much he could have shown
just his pictures like i know ban.e is not a good actor i agree with that but showing pictures of his
child damn you know there is a limit to everything and i think that's the limit right kids i don't
think there is a good reason for people to be doxxing kids pictures against their will on the internet
i mean if they were sharing something about their kids and you think it's cool and you want to retweet
that's something they made it public right for instance my great friend john luffa has uh made a
video of of his daughter uh playing around with the doodle studio thing which i think it's amazing
um and he shared it for me it was amazing because like i was like damn a kid loved this thing and
he's playing around he even told me the the story behind it he was like he's he told him yo dad let
me show you how it's done and i thought that shit was funny and she actually drawed something really
dope i thought that was a cool a cool thing he shared it i already tweeted that but that's not
like somebody going out of their way to go dog somebody's kids and i think that's out of pocket
uh not to use other terminology for that but yeah yo warrior a phantom had a last take i see
you want to do the last take and give us a banger make it short and sweet and a banger at the same time
i don't know how that sounds like but i want to hear it from you let's get it
thanks brother uh yeah i just wanted to say listen some of my my best friends are from kate bird uh so
you know one of my biggest um historical role models is america the revolutionary right and you
know just to end it on america cora's uh kind of i would say spirit you know we're in a time where
like every revolutionary independent of their political ideology like always kind of centered on like
what is it that people will need when they gain independence and amica cora believed that they
needed to understand how to grow in these different islands like how to how to conduct agriculture
and be successful nourishing themselves because they were so dependent on portugal
and and so like that's what it took right it took a decade of just helping people learn how to harvest food
and i think some of us have been in the space in theory kind of doing that and i think it's time to bump
it up to the next level right this is this is a new seed it is a different time a different plot
and we kind of just have to step our game up i love that i love that uh let me ask you if you
don't mind are you from massachusetts no i know that i know that massachusetts was the gateway but you
know cape verdians were here since the whalers you know it's really frustrating to see that
our entire public education systems have integrated bilingual in many languages and yet cape verdian
language which started to be developed the written form in the early 90s has not yet been integrated
given the rich history that cape verdians have in the u.s so anyway just uh history but yeah
yeah i appreciate that i appreciate that fam i appreciate the kind words about our national hero
yes amilcar cabral for those that don't know is the guy who led the movement for our independence
they had to actually fight a war in another nearby country for the independence of both our countries
but that can be a story for another day i appreciate each one of you in here my go to co-hosts
yarius and k sensei each one of you in the speakers and listening section i appreciate you so much
talk to you soon and just because my man's dogs my country i'ma give you a song for my country
that's how we're gonna end this space this genre is called i'm a piano originally from south africa
but cape verdians also make this type of music and i love it i'm not gonna lie it's a fucking banger
and if you don't like it go dox me on arkham and do that snitch the word let's get it baby
i'm not gonna lie it's a fucking banger
can you imagine
