Music Thank you. Welcome back, everybody.
One for the money, two for the show, and third time's the charm.
Bitcoin dominance is continuing to shine bright, but also apologies for this third attempt on our AMA today.
It looks like there's some technical difficulties across the board,
but appreciate you all continuing to join back.
Mitchell, you are right in the middle of a fire.
I thought you cut me off, but then I guess I Googled it.
It looks like it's X issues Googled it. It's looks
like it's X issues today. Eli needs to bring some people back on. I agree. We'll let you finish it
off. No, I was, I was just about done. I was just saying that's, you know, bringing it back to the
SIP, you know, the original question was about the integration, the pace of the integration. And so
I think one of the things about the SIP that's great is that
it'll allow us to accelerate the pace of these integrations quite a bit. And that's because
you're not just, you know, you don't have to just be a sexy project and get in line. You also have
to pay and you also sort of have to pay to stay in the front of the line oftentimes. And so, you
know, with new resources, as more TGEs in the ecosystem, just growth in general, you not only become more
attracted to a partner, but then you can also have a party that can make the agreement with
said integration partner and has the capital to do it. And so in that respect, I think,
you know, coin flip aside, all the other integration partners that we all really want
and love. And by the way, I can drop some alpha. Major wallet integration coming soon.
We'll be able to share more about that, but not today.
And yeah, I think the pace of integrations
can greatly accelerate with the SIP in short.
So I'll leave it there.
Awesome. Thank you, Mitchell.
I know we have two questions.
I'm going to be respectful and get to them.
Otherwise, anyone else that's got questions, we will host multiple more AMAs, so you'll
have a chance to vocalize it, but also feel free to drop in a comment on Twitter as well.
Zentron, apologies if I mispronounced that, but I want to make sure you get your question
So let's bring you up on stage real quick.
And then NFTft qd you
are waiting for us as well so uh i respectfully would ask uh if you could ask your question
quickly as again we're seeing some technical difficulties and don't want you getting cut off so
zatron uh dot btc you're up first quick question hey ron i don't have a question. I just want to jump and say thanks for Stacks Foundation,
and especially for Adam and Kim. Kenny helped us through the new builders like different programs
and winning hackathons. We are cooking up pretty ambitious project that showcase a lot very soon. You know, like Stacks is giving us the rails
and clarity is what let us finally unlock
the real Bitcoin liquidity for users.
So big things are coming.
Yeah, that's all.
Go for it, Mitchell.
Appreciate that.
Glad that we could help you out.
Yes, thank you.
And lastly, NFT QT, comments, quick question.
GM, so I have a question that how Stacks is leveraging the Nakamoto upgrade and
SVTC to drive innovation in the Bitcoin layer too.
ecosystem.
Ecosystem, yes.
So just to clarify,
understanding how the Nakamoto upgrade
that finished last year
is supporting the growth of SBTC
and the greater DeFi ecosystem.
Awesome. Okay. I think that was the question there, NFT cutie. So Mitchell and I
will maybe both share some comments as well. I wish Rena was able to join us from the DeFi
working group. I know she'd have a lot to say on this, but Mitchell, do you want to start?
Yeah. Yeah. No, I think it's pretty simple at a high level, right? Like SBTC and the growth
that we've seen with the last
two caps getting filled pretty much immediately would not be possible without Nakamoto on really
two key layers, right? There's Bitcoin finality, 100% Bitcoin finality. No one else has that.
And then second, the speeds, right? So we have speeds that can support DeFi.
As sort of with that baseline tech, that's why we're sort of putting this forward now
and toggling toward a growth mindset
because the use cases and the things
that Bitcoiners are wanting,
those are getting sorted for,
you know, Zest and Hermetica and Bitflow
and these teams that are building applications,
they've already integrated and added SPTC
and are leveraging the full capabilities of Nakamoto.
And now they're taking that to market.
And so now the ecosystem can better help take them to market.
One area that I think is also particularly exciting is the institutional side.
So it's come up a couple of times today.
But on the institutional side, I think we can do more there as well to help unlock a lot of that capital.
And the trust assumptions and the security that both the Nakamoto and SBDC upgrades provide to these parties is the major reason why they're so excited and willing to work with us and why these caps are filling so fast.
So those are sort of the beginnings of that.
And I think it's just like, again, pouring fuel on the fire and continuing to radiate out into different use cases from that core. And yeah, none of it's really possible about those upgrades. So it was a great year getting those out. And I'm really excited that 2025 gets to see us really toggle into making growth that first class citizen alongside technology.
making growth that first-class citizen alongside technology. Absolutely. There was so much time
and effort and contribution from those across the ecosystem to bring Nakamoto to life. And to your
comment there, Mitchell, now here in 2025, turn of the year, we're starting to see all of that
leverage. SBTC goes from zero to now over 5,000 BTC deposited in three different caps, all closing faster and faster and faster.
We've got applications across the ecosystem that are supporting SBTC. We've got new DeFi
or Bitcoin DeFi incentive programs and activities happening as well across the ecosystem. We also are seeing those faster block times
that Maniv just mentioned a few moments ago as well
continue to get faster and faster.
Wasm Clarity was mentioned earlier by Alex on the Hero side
will be coming to light soon.
So a lot of what Nakamoto began and activated
is now really being seen at a shining light and level for the ecosystem.
And we're excited to watch it continue to grow.
Just my two cents as well.
And on the institutional side, to Mitchell's comment, we are seeing more excitement, more demand, more engagement on the institutional side of things.
And continuing to see that grow globally.
Institutions like Jump or UTXO or S&Z and many others as well are continuing to look at how SBTC
or the Stacks DeFi ecosystem fits within their world or within their allocation strategy as investors as well.
So very exciting to see.
And we also talked about some things around not just DeFi,
but also PayFi in the future of that part of the ecosystem as well.
So NFTQD, I hope that helped to start that answer, Meneve,
as we close out.
Any final thoughts from yourself and Mitchell on today's big announcement
and last week's, again, milestones,
5,000 BTC total in SBTC as one of the leading Bitcoin assets across the industry. The release
of the two roadmaps, technical and DeFi, along with the rollout and explanation around value
accrual. And then today's proposal for the future of
stacks going forward. Mitchell, you need, let you guys give a few more comments. I'll wrap us up.
Yeah, I'll go first and let me close us. I don't have much more to say. I've been talking to you
all a lot today. Other than that, again, I'm, I'm excited to play whatever role I can as this
moves, moves ahead. And it's all a lot of the things that have been, you know, blockers or just slowdowns in the ecosystem and bring as much capital and support to builders.
You know, me and my team are really passionate about it.
I've worked to support entrepreneurs my whole life.
And so, you know, the opportunity to continue doing that in a way that's more efficient, I'm just really excited for it. And I thank you all for helping provide the feedback
previously and as we go forward. So keep that up. And yeah, we're in this together. Let's get
reloaded here. Awesome. Thanks, Michelle. I think i'll just summarize for people who didn't catch
the early parts of it so i think this is honestly even personally and especially after hearing some
of the comments here i've felt more motivated more excited more bullish for our future than ever
i think it's really a tipping point from going from zero to one, like building the tech,
delivering it to one to end, like growth, growth, growth, focus there. And literally this SIP is so
thoughtful. Like I was actually not even involved in writing it. Other people went ahead. I gave
some feedback, but it really feels like, you know, we made a full list of everything the community
wanted and the builders
wanted and it's amazing to see the community and builders move forward in a grassroots way
propose solutions and then other entities get involved they refine it and we come up with this
comprehensive solution and i think the timing couldn't be be better than this as i mentioned
the analogy is if this was a traditional tech startup this is your growth round
right you've proven traction you got half a billion dollar in bitcoin in people want to deposit this
you're already the front runner the leader but this is the time to go back now right swing for
the fences and we and we run for for growth and we run for being a top ecosystem and i think the
sip has all the ingredients combined with the roadmap,
combined with the execution plan,
with the operational entity.
And I think we got this.
I'm mega bullish.
Thank you very much, Manib, Mitchell,
to all of the community that stepped up,
provided their thoughts, their comments,
their questions, and to all of you
who have continued to contribute
to the Stacks ecosystem over the years. And we welcome your continued feedback, your suggestions,
your comment, your input on the draft proposal that is live now as well. You can find it,
I believe we had it pinned on the last AMA, so we will have that on Twitter,
easy access for everybody as well.
And do welcome, again, that feedback.
Feel free to reach out as well as we are all a part of this moment in history for Stacks and for the greater Bitcoin ecosystem.
That said, everybody, have a wonderful day, wonderful evening, wonderful morning, wherever you may be tuning in from around the world. If you are in Las Vegas for Bitcoin Vegas, we hope to see you at the upcoming Stacks events and on the showroom floor.
Otherwise, we will see you back here very soon for another Stacks AMA as well.
Everyone, take care. Good day. And we'll talk to you soon. I'm your host, Kyle Alcott. Take care, everyone. Thank you.
