youtube hit the subscribe button and make sure you don't miss the opening in the end You get the much better high quality for all you audiophiles. You're going to want to head over to YouTube,
hit the subscribe button, and make sure you don't miss the opening in the end.
Further, you get the banger intro video,
which you don't get to see here on X
because X video has been nerfed.
That said, I am going to pin the...
the X video feed in the chat here
I'll drop that up top here in a second
for those that you like watching video on this
I don't know what they're doing with video
So much so that StreamYard, our studio that we broadcast from,
even told us so this morning, sharing.
Basically, X video is broken, and it's not being discovered,
but there is a workaround.
You can find it and share it.
It is pinned up top. So if you really want to find it and share it it is uh it is pinned up top so if you
really want to watch x video uh there it is it's up top but i would strongly encourage you to head
over to youtube join that chat and hit the sub button while you're over there that said busy
day today actually quite a bit happening we may have a impromptu special guest join us um maybe sooner than later uh i actually
do see figgy out there so figgy just getting started here we'll jump in i know you've got
a tight schedule and was not planned um so no obligation if you need if you have a heart out
we can we could jump right into things typically we'll we'll do, we'll let the room warm up a little bit, get a quick market update in, and normally a little bit of cold open, but I've already exhausted my five minutes.
Actually, I do have one cold open topic.
Take a victory lap for my daughter.
Had lacrosse last night, played a really tough team, one of the best teams in the state and they did lose but it was very
close all the way to the end they ended up losing nine to eleven uh but she scored a really nice
goal and had a couple of big assists and they played good proud of the team they proved i mean
it was kind of i mean despite them playing good they had some early season silly mistakes.
And the refs were blowing the whistle game at one point.
They called a double yellow card, which I thought was questionable.
And they played down a person the entire fourth quarter.
And still almost pulled off the W. So good one for the confidence last night.
Not one for moral victories last night. I,
not one for moral victories,
but we'll take the moral victory and victory lap,
the goal and a couple assists and two more games this week. So best thing about sports is you don't have to wait,
or at least sports like this,
you don't have to wait a full week to play another one.
They get it dusted off and get back at it tomorrow and then again Friday. Diego, yes, anyone
can play Other Side. Just head to otherside.xyz.
You can play just from your browser. You don't even need to download the launcher. I would recommend
downloading the launcher if you enjoy it. But yeah, if you just want to get over there and check it out,
head to otherside.xyz. No assets no assets required now there are several several avatars live it's not
just you assets it's not just apes and codas uh codas are the alpha by the way we'll talk about
that here in a little bit yeah thanks thanks diablito or diablo uh diablo incognito the um
um yeah he says he streams it even from a 2015 MacBook. So yeah, if you have a MacBook Air, MacBook,
you can not only stream it from your browser,
you can download that launcher.
I'm not sure what the exact specs are to have the launcher.
2015 might be pushing it.
I'm curious, Diablo, when you say stream it,
are you streaming it from your browser
or did you actually download the launcher on that 2015 MacBook?
Diego, good to see you, sir.
I want one of those MiBit footballs as well.
I hope there's going to be β we don't have all the details on that.
We'll try to get Sergito and the MiBit's team on here in the future
before the World Cup to talk about what they have going on.
But I'm hoping there's even a fun soccer game.
We can put football game, excuse me, in there.
Yeah, so he's running it from the browser
And my Spanish isn't great.
I would say it's getting better,
but I can understand, actually, kid you not,
my dog Duke, who just turned two this past weekend,
he's probably more bilingual than me.
He can't speak Spanish yet, but he understands Spanish, I think, as good or better than I do.
So much so if someone accidentally says, vamos, he thinks it's time to go for a car ride.
He associates the word, vamos, with a car ride.
And if it accidentally gets said, he gets a little upset because he doesn't uh
he thinks we are um you know we're rugging him on the car ride uh so yeah diablo incognito is
diablito okay so i wasn't i wasn't mispronouncing it then i am correct my brain is not fully
functioning not a full coffee of me yet but we'll get rolling uh that said i see cheeses
jumped on stage cheeses before we get out of the cold open, I do want to get into a little bit of market update
to talk about actually this new OS Pro feature.
I said this on the show a while ago
that I thought OpenSea had an opportunity
to lean into the data side of things.
You see often here, if we do a market update,
I'll go to CoinMarketCap to talk about tokens, for instance. And now I often defer to or resort to the OpenSea NFT trending for
the NFT market update. But I just, there's not been, I mean, CoinMarketCap's fine. There's
several other charts that are fine, but they're just not great. And I feel with the distribution they have and
the user base they have, somewhat of an opportunity there for them to lean more into data and good to
see that update. We will hit on that when we get into the daily market update here. For those that
are on video, we'll show the new charts they just launched. They also announced a big meeting announcement on March 30th.
It wasn't the best received. We didn't get a lot of information.
I know people are impatiently waiting on
the C token drop and that TGE.
I don't envy any team that has a
who's the team has been having to hold off the masses for,
it was first teased a little over a year ago
when they said that token was coming.
And Diego is testing OpenSea mobile app and Perpetuals.
Good luck in the perp streets
and enjoy walking your doggo
Jesus GM always a pleasure
congrats on the big week on
creator cards provide a little boost there
I didn't do anything different
we stream on there every day
I don't really do any other farming. Don't really hold much
assets. A little bit of Pingu.
I did collect some cards.
I shared some of my cards.
I don't know if that mattered. But my XP went
over the week. So I'm not sure.
I saw some big wins. But I think
who I think it was OnChain Heroes he was
playing. Some other game that he said he went pretty hard in. I think gaming stuff was Diego who I think it was on chain heroes. He was playing some other game that he,
he said he went pretty hard in.
I think game stuff maybe did more.
they always say follow the volume.
So like whatever collections are having the most volume trade,
things like that. Uh, I don't,
but yeah, I don't, I don't think yet that they are completely activated, um, on, on abstract.
So I don't think it was because the previous week I had, I think I had 32,000.
So yeah, I don't think it's active yet.
And I added some bearish NFTs this week.
So I think that's what that was.
Plus I played the, what is the damn game?
The newest game, the one where you had to get the magger badge um so yeah i don't i don't think they're active yet uh because you also can't
transfer the nfts either so these are these these cards are effectively like soul bound tokens
no no no no no they're they're they're tradable like you can
sell them there's already been like five sales really yeah but the problem is is like when you
go to click on one uh it's not you're not able to transfer the items yet so interesting yeah so Yeah, so theoretically, I think when I was looking at it,
there should be, they said they did 401, where are we at?
So there should be 10,025 cards minted within the 14 days.
Right now, there's only 6,170 cards minted.
So a little, what, like 60%?
So, yeah, so there's 40% of the cards for the creators
that were verified that they never even minted their cards.
So, you know, we don't have a whole lot of time left,
and I think those creators will lose those cards.
Yeah, that's my understanding.
If they're not mint them or lose them,
could get them claimed or lose them.
I guess if you're not giving them out.
Go claim them yourself, if nothing else.
I did claim one myself just because I'm not exactly sure
what the game is going to be.
If you have a card, your first claim is a rare one.
So I just wanted to add the common.
I've got my own rare and my,
I still have a couple of those left.
I think I got everyone who DM me in one of the card.
I think I got all those handed out.
please shoot me another DM on X this morning.
And anyone else that's looking to collect a cap.
I still don't have a cap.
But my, so like I minted a few of mine myself because I wanted to use them for future giveaways, things like that.
And when I went to go transfer one yesterday to a friend, it wouldn't allow me to transfer.
So it's in plus the metadata is not
updated yet um so i think they're they're not like fully activated and i think we see that on the next
phase once the um once the packs open up i think they're going to push the metadata get all the
creators cards out there and then
go from there but yeah i don't i don't believe they had any any impact whatsoever towards uh
towards xp yesterday yeah it doesn't doesn't really look like it but i will get you or at
least doesn't i don't think so based on my own performance be epic crushing it over there uh had a huge week 177 000 xp he said mog and blinko were the two
he attributed to he said he thinks mog was the top xp this week in his opinion and uh also looks like
he's playing some blinko yeah and i played both of those games that's the only two games i played
and i think between that and adding there was a whale that dumped uh bears uh the bearish
nfts and he dumped them all the way down to like 0.05 he was just weathen and i got a few of those
uh down at the bottom there so um yeah so i agree with makes me makes me i had not thought about
acquiring like buying any other creator card yet.
It was not on my, even in my brain space at all.
But now you got me thinking, I wonder, since it's kind of a slow burn to kick off, I may actually go look to buy.
And I'm also guessing there's not a lot listed.
So maybe I might make some offers, see if I hit on some that.
There's not, but the problem is
you don't know who you're getting and and that's not a bad thing because we don't know what creators
are going to do what but the i i would hold off on that because right now all the cards are common
and common cards are going to go for pennies like they're not they're not going to be of
high value i don't think uh because if you are setting a certain like a lineup or
whatever of your squad i don't know how many cards you're going to be able to use i would imagine the
commons are going to be like maybe 15 to 20 percent of your stack that you set and then you're going
to be able to set some legendaries and things like that to kind of boost your squad up or they may just not even do it tiered and
may just do it creator um they may just do it like you know you can add 10 creators into your
squad um we don't know i think we're gonna get a post today though it would be my guess i just uh
i just sent you a a referral link and i'd seen it thank you you. You sent me one on last Thursday. I didn't claim it
in time. It looks like, uh, I think somebody took it. Yeah. But I lost, but I have, but I have extras.
Like I said, once I can transfer one, I owe one person one and I'm in your number two.
Appreciate you. Um, and I have, and I had minted to myself. So, uh, and I will definitely send
that over to you. Awesome. Um, a few other Joey, I got you too. I just, I just hit your, uh, and I will definitely send that over to you. Awesome. Um, a few other Joey,
I got you too. I just, I just hit your, uh, just hit your DMs with one. And I guess I've got kind
of one other, I mean, we'll, we'll call it a cold open item. It will, it's was kind of a shit post,
but not really. I, in my show notes, I said, be the change you want to see in the world.
I've seen a lot of, for whatever reason, one of the engagement farms recently or engagement hacks
has been people self-owning or dunking on NFTs. Oh, I bought this. So-and-so bought,
Justin Bieber bought this NFT for $420,000 and 21. It's now worth $10. Or I saw Snoop bought this X copy Grail for 500 grand in 21, it's now worth $25.
Just like absolutely, I mean, I don't know.
I think most people realize it's actually they're worth more than what they're claiming.
But that's been a, I've seen a lot of those.
So I went the other direction and I said, enough of this.
it's not down that bad. They are still relevant and probably, and I know some people are doing
it to like, it's a joke. I'm not like, whatever, do what you want to do on this app or wherever.
I get it's a joke. I'm having fun with it in some cases, but it's also like
NFTs don't have the best reputation for those that aren't here. And that stuff certainly doesn't help.
nfts don't have the best reputation for those that aren't here and that stuff certainly doesn't help
in it you know i so i shared this i purchased the board apen 21 for 200 so it's worth 100 grand
and so there were companies that's not worth 100 grand and i wouldn't sell it for 100 grand uh so
that that's me i i'm not you're right it's not worth 100 grand i like someone was offering a
million bucks for it i'd i'd probably take it, but I'm not selling it for a hundred grand. And so I feel it's fair to say that anyways,
got a little mini cook, at least for me anyways, 10,000 views is a few hundred likes. So, and I
saw a few other people running with it. Maybe we can make this the board, a yacht club copy
pasta of the day. People, people take some victory laps instead of the down, but I know
lost porn does far better for engagement, but just wanted to show
that it's not, you know, sometimes we can actually
be optimistic and positive and that too
can have a, that too can do
at least some mini numbers
or numbers on in my world.
you're not crazy for not having to step foot
I don't want to say I'm bearish abstract,
but I'm bearish abstract.
at least in its current form,
I don't know what they're doing.
They don't have a flagship DAP,
They've had some quick games,
that catch virality for a minute.
and there's creator cards.
They're doing something different,
It got us to turn video on.
for the streaming we've done there.
I'd actually rather you go to be a YouTube subscriber and appreciate your
comments on YouTube than abstract.
I'm going to be very interested to see how they move forward.
I think Pudgy Igloo rather,
I think they'll sell before TGE, would be
I mean, look at Vitalik's recent thesis
You've got to have something differentiating. You've got to
performant, i.e. MegaEth,
Otherwise, you're not needed to scale.
Like, you can use mainnet for scaling.
Like, at least right now,
until it gets bombarded with agents on chain,
which is another story we may or may not get into today.
I just, and again, it's not a shot at Abstract.
It's more a shot at L2s in Abstract with Luca and the team they have over at
I just, I think they'd be crazy to TGE right now or anytime soon.
And I think they're probably better off to, I mean, they need to
figure out what their flagship DAP is. What's going
to be the reason people need to use abstract
It's just there's no differentiators.
It's not the most performant.
They don't have a flagship app.
There's nothing that you need abstract for
that you can't do elsewhere.
You sound like my co-host.
He's 100% bearish on that.
I'm also like an optimist.
I don't want this to be taken out of context.
as I'm rooting for many teams.
There's opportunity for more than one chain to win. I just... I. I'm rooting for them as I'm rooting for many teams. There's more than, there's opportunity for more
than one chain to win. I just,
I don't know what it is. In its
current form, I don't know what their differentiating factor
is, and it's a very competitive space.
believe they are the most active
the most active L2 that's out there.
Well, like even like just building and adding more,
more teams and more, more games,
whether it's games of chance or games of skill there,
they're actively, I mean, cause I'm,
I'm deep into it and you may not be as deep in as I am.
So I have a lot of connections
like just talking with the team.
I'm not that deep into it.
I still think their portal
Could they do more with it?
But now that they've turned on dark mode,
more chains could do better of discoverability
of apps and and mega east i like it's just not i don't feel as as an intuitive as abstracts
abstracts just kind of right in your face i think the badges made sense and but yeah i i mean again
i'm not i'm not trying to flood them this isn isn't like, I'm not taking shit for them.
They just, you know, from my perspective, they need more.
Some novel dap, something that's new,
something that's exclusive to Ape Chain,
or excuse me, exclusive to Abstract,
i.e., like OtherSky, it is exclusive to Ape Chain.
Like, now, someone could take the other end of that
and say, well, Ape Chain has all their eggs in one basket.
Yeah, they do, but I'd rather... It's a's a big fucking basket though and it's a pretty nice basket
uh that they that they do so luca has said that this is version zero of of the portal there's a
new uh there's a new portal coming there's this top secret thing that he is not releasing and the team is being like completely uh silent
on it's like project quantum or project something something weird like this and apparently it's like
going to be really really massive for abstract but it's not i think it's going to be tied kind of
near tge so they're not releasing anything yet but as far as a team that's active on the timeline that's
active in in in holders dms um always open for suggestions and reaching out and helping brands
build on abstract like i don't see any other l2 doing what abstract is doing but i agree with you
there needs to be something there and you can argue
that like gigaverse is one of the the bigger things that are there abstract isn't really
an identifiable like it's kind of looking at like like you know ape chain or you know you have other side, abstract isn't really build of like,
okay, we're going to have
like something that's like
because everybody is getting skins on other side.
But I do agree with what you're saying,
it's almost like a web three Apple store
is what they're they're trying
to like turn this into so it's it's more of a variety of of different things that you could
do over here rather than just one flagship thing yeah I mean I like the thesis and I mean I will
get we'll get to Joey here in a second I'm gonna get let Katie get in first because she jumped up
and it's always a pleasure to hear from Katie, one of our best, biggest fans and most loyal contributors in the,
in the GMs and in the comments,
we don't get to hear from her often.
let Katie go and then we'll get to you next.
But the one thing I would say is,
like base and the base app makes sense.
I don't know if anyone has quite nailed it yet.
the portal can be helpful
and I think that App Store approach is important
I still think they don't have the top of funnel advantage
that someone like a Coinbase does
I'm not even going to probably hit on Zora
I thought creator coins are not great.
Well, I mean, Zora left base. You know what I mean?
So are they even going to just continue with base?
Did they leave base or did they just go multi-chain? My understanding
was they went multi-chain. They just launched on Solana.
Are they full on Solana now?
That I don't know. I just see the post.
I haven't done any research.
Even if not, even if they are multi-chain,
I think it's kind of a blow to that base ecosystem
in the sense that it's the one,
It's one of the platforms
that that base team had promoted heavily,
probably more so than any other.
And Joey was beating the creator coin drum.
It was far too much in my opinion.
But that is a big news moment.
I don't really have much else to add.
I thought about streaming on there.
It would have purely been for an airdrop.
I don't believe in the creator coin thesis.
there could be something there
but I heard B-Check talking about this. I actually
agree. I thought their first iteration
and like kind of turning Instagram into
an NFT. I felt that was better than
I don't think any of that stuff really
Well I mean it makes sense for Zora to kind of branch out to Solana I felt that was better than creator coins, but I just, I don't think any of that stuff really.
Well, I mean, it, it makes sense for Zora to kind of branch out to, to Solana.
Um, cause I am reading right now that, yeah,
they haven't completely left base,
but base is stepping away from creator coins.
So it's like, why do they need to be there?
Joey, I appreciate your patience because this is great that you came up because,
there are teams leaving base or going multi-chain
base trying to figure out what they are, what is base's
flagship app? Maybe it's BZ.
You know, BZ went multi-chain and their
like hockey stick up once they launched on base.
Record day after record day, record months.
And they continue to have a lot of success
once they went from just being on flow to also launching on base.
And so there's some stuff there.
Again, I do think there's, there's opportunity for
far more than a couple of chains. I think there's opportunity for a lot of L2s. I just think
having either or a flagship DAP, something that's exclusive there, or not just like,
again, I'm not just glazing ApeCh ape chain and other side because figgy's in the
room he's going to join us here in a little bit like it's a big swing is other side a guarantee
to be a massive success and in the on-chain version roblox no there's no guarantee but not
only is it a big swing it's a big swing that's an exclusive platform that is going to bring in other builders. That's, I think, where these
chains can win is having something that's exclusive to the chain that others are going to build on top
of. That, I think, is where an L2 can win, or they become extremely performant and just faster
like a mega ETH. I also think, and to tie it into the conversation we will get to here in about a half hour talking about AI agents, I think there's a world, I think there's an outcome where a lot like Ethereum and theTH layer two, layer threes, I think there's a possible, if not likely, that it becomes the main place where agents build.
Now, some of these changes could get spun up where they're almost exclusively agents.
I just, for the, what's already been built there, the early results, and I think there is some real potential for network effects for the
themselves as like the go-to place for
now agents will go on all chains
but I just think for you talk
the benefits of specifically ETH
I just think it's built better for agents
Katie, GM, always a pleasure
what brought you up this morning?
GM, I have to actually jump up here to talk to Jesus about abstract because I have a love-hate
relationship with abstract. Can you hear me? Yep, loud and clear.
Okay, gotcha. So I've found myself in your room the last few weeks. I've hopped up on your stage
a couple of times. I don't think you earn enough XP either. I'm here to complain about my XP.
I did a lot of different things this week trying to figure out my XP and I've complained about it before. And I, it's, it's for the things that I've done this week, I did not earn enough
XP. I have a pin post for anybody who wants to check it out and listen to my complaining, but
it's, I'm invested at this point. I've been there since day one. it's like do i give up and like stop getting
mad every time i see people who earn 150 000 xp and jesus you do way more than i do
so you should be up in arms because i swear you need more xp as well yeah i mean it's it's really
weird because i see some people and they're posting they had 3000, 400,000 XP for the week. And I'm like, either you're putting like, you're putting like all your fucking money
and you mortgaged your house on chain on abstract.
But the thing is, is if you don't have giga chat, if you don't have a pudgy and you don't
have a little pudgy or one of the bigger pengu uh holdings like your xp is going to be
very limited and i have i have people in my dms all the time and they they barely even get 500 xp
so you know in my post this week i put i have four little pudgies i have pengu i have i have
the elite chad roll which i'm never going to get above that which is fine because i don't go into the discord but i bought um i put liquidity in this week i got two badges um i'm doing all these
things and i'm getting a zero so it's really frustrating for me hold on you did all this in
one week yes i did let me read let me look at my this is why it doesn't make any sense to me when you have people who earn 150,000.
Oh, I also bought a frog.
I bought a frog because I know that in the Zeke campaign that frogs are going to count.
Yeah, that's not really going to give you any XP there.
Apparently, if you own a frog and a bearish early on i had heard it gives you like
access to like pre-sale rounds and exclusive like white list and there's all kinds of stuff like
that but so i have 12 bearish i hold a ton of nfts in there so it's like i have nfts from them
i don't know what else i could do i'm not you know what i mean like it's it's really frustrating for
me and i so if you're you don't have the video pulled up
or you don't see it on stream,
this is what Katie did in the last week.
Daily check into Myriad Markets,
daily fishing and play gigaverse,
daily check into DYLI to collect tickets
and complete two spins, add liquidity to my account,
bought more Pingu, bought two bearish,
bought two little pudgies,
attend coffee with Captain Daly
and an active participant,
have three epic assistants on Moody mites that are consistently running collected five moody mites archives collected two more badges 33 total daily
check-in on pingu clash and play games like is that's is katie doing this to earn xp sure that's
i'm sure that's some motive but she's also like I don't know, if I'm launching a chain and I want a daily active user, not just a true pure farmer who's going to not do anything after the fact.
Because I happen to know Katie and I know how valuable she is to the vFriends community and our community.
She's the exact type of user I want on my chain.
And I want to make sure this person is not just okay with the XP they're
they're excited about it and they're going to continue to do more versus
and I understand them wanting to keep it opaque and not share all the
details because they don't want the system to be gamed,
they've been going on over a year now.
that's three G's just in NFTs she spent.
And any other money that she might have spent just doing whatever else.
I have been in the top...
I'm not anymore, but I've played Blinko so much.
I was in the top 25 for a good month.
It was really frustrating for me.
Figgy, appreciate you joining us.
We will, if it's good for you, we'll start talking all things other side around nine.
But our goal this morning is going to be get Katie to do this much activity in other side starting.
Oh, yeah, you're still here.
Appreciate your patience, Joey.
Defend your chain, your boy base over there.
I mean, take it whichever direction you like,
but I assumed the knock on base and Zora not leaving,
but launching multi-chain on Solana is probably what prompted you to come up,
but take it wherever you'd like.
GM, GM. Yeah. So there was some stuff that came out a couple of days ago, like how Solana leads all
layer one and layer two blockchains and app revenue and daily transaction count. And I'm not saying
Solana is the answer, but the reason why L2s were built from my understanding was they were supposed
to be faster, you know, as fast and as cheap as building on Solana. Well, they haven't even been
able to put a dent into what Solana is doing. So to your point, why, why an L2 at this point,
right? Like, and I understand there's arguments of ETH versus Solana, but if
we're talking about companies like Zora that are going multi-chain and us that are going multi-chain,
I don't see the need for these L2s, to your point, to continue to operate in their own little silos.
Like I think Abstract has done a really really good job is there anything at all over there
that in my opinion makes them worthy to be around in five years i don't think so i mean i they don't
have anything that's like there's no like wow factor like what what what on abstract is going
to onboard a million users, a hundred thousand users.
Like what is, and this is not, I don't have, I don't have an issue with igloo and abstract.
I still hold my little pudgy.
I hold a bunch of pengu over there.
I try to participate when I can, but like, I just don't, I don't understand base.
And this is, I'm not being a homer, right?
Like, cause I do think there are other great blockchains out there, but base built base app.
It makes it really easy for you on your mobile device to interact with all
of their dApps to, to trade crypto to community.
You know, they have, you know, the ability to, to post like it's a social app.
It's a, it's a gaming app. It's a defy app. It has,
it's basically what blast announced they were going to try to do two years ago. Um, but have,
I don't think they've done it yet. So it's like you have to, I, when I look at these L2s and
these other blockchains, what's going to onboard a hundred thousand new users. What's going to onboard a million new users.
What's going to onboard 10 million new users.
I just don't see it on a lot of them, even like, and I think that's why some of them
And I think that's why some of them are pivoting.
Like polygon is going really hard into like payments.
I believe because they're, they're, they're like, okay, well, if we're going to survive,
big because they're they're they're like okay well if we're gonna survive we need to be like
super neat like hyper niche really focused on solving some type of problem so polygons going
really hard on like payment solutions so i again not a knock on anything they've built i think
they do have one of the best to your point port, portals. I just don't see what's going to onboard more people there.
I'm just going to add to it.
So to add on top of what you just said,
I guess I'll push back a little bit.
I do think they've onboarded some people.
I think some of the collaborations they've done,
I think of like F1. And I think that at that weekend that they launched that F1 campaign,
they had, I think it was over a hundred thousand new wallets and presumably new users. I think
where the miss has been, same thing with base is then what? Onboarding is more than just buying a digital asset. That might get a wallet created,
that might get an asset, but then what? I think the second phase, like what's next,
a lot of these chains are missing. You go collect a digital poster, which creates a wallet.
Like the second phase of now that someone has a wallet, now what?
And I think this is where, again, not glazing figgy.
I, you know, if you've been here, you hear me talk about, I mean, other side and the
code of thesis for quite literally years now.
I just like, and other side's still in beta. It's
not fully ready yet. But for someone who buys a Boximus on Amazon and then goes into other side,
there's an in there. You talk about shipping new stuff. It's pretty insane all that they've
shipped in the last, I don't know, month or two. And it seems like every week something new is coming out. I think that's only going to accelerate now with AI
and all. And when they launch the, you know, the user generated content and more people get in
there with SDKs, like I can, I can see a vision. I'm not saying it's a guarantee. Don't go rush out
and go buy a Coda today. I mean, do if you Do if you want. But I can see a path to where they can connect those dots.
After someone gets a wallet because they go to something like ComplexCon
and they're able to create a wallet with an email address,
they don't even realize they have a wallet yet,
and then there's some cool tie-in, some cool collaboration with ComplexCon
a year from now, those users are already set up. And then they get some cool tie-in, some cool collaboration with ComplexCon a year from now.
Those users are already set up. And then they get in, there's an and there. We talk about
World Cup and what MeBits is doing. Maybe they launch a really fun soccer game,
football, in OtherSide. And then there's an and there. Then someone who comes in because
they're a World Cup fan and they collect this digital avatar and then they get playing the game.
There's a very logical, in my brain brain a very logical path for them to do
more things on chain for them to actually be on board it maybe i'm biased because of how i came
into this space you know i came in to collect digital basketball cards by any top shot. And that, and then it, I didn't, that was great. It was very easy. I created
a wallet with my Gmail account and I was able to participate in that ecosystem, not knocking flow,
but there was no, and there, there was nothing after that. It was like, I know there is now,
but at the time it was like, okay, there was an NBA top shot. It got me down the rabbit hole. So I wanted to explore more and ended up finding Zed Run. And, you know, we've talked about the nightmares of bridging funds to Polygon and those first mints and how challenging that was.
some of my friends there, because I had gotten in that rabbit hole, I ended up finding,
you know, the Bored API Club Mint, this ape that I pinned up top, you know, my PFP I've
rocked every day since. And there was a lot of ands there. Our war room, the DJ network,
is a direct result of the Bored API Club. That became such a fun community. There was a lot of
sub-communities that spun off. And Steve and Bunchu and
we all met there. There was another sub-community. I can't remember what it was called. It was
basically a bunch of entrepreneur-minded people like, hey, we want to build in this space. We
want to build with this IP. We want to build with this community. And we connected in a smaller
sub-community that ultimately became what we know is the war room today.
I know it's maybe a reach connecting all these dots.
My bigger point is onboarding in itself, getting someone a wallet or a digital asset isn't enough.
Like, then what are they going to do?
And I think that's where, I don't want to say they dropped the ball, but I think that's a lacking thing today in most of these chains.
And some, I will give them credit.
Abstract has done a good job of some great collaborations.
They've onboarded new users.
I just don't know how many of those users they've actually kept as active users.
And I do think this ambiguity.
Now, there are people like Beepic kind of has this thing dialed in.
Thank you very much for the tip, Hans.
Beepic says he's near certain
man, I can't remember what it's actually called.
so yes, MOG and Blinko, but then he said, inko's one, and then the other one, so yes,
Mog and Blinko, but then he said,
what is the Mog game? What is it actually, what does Mog stand for over there? Maze of Games.
Maze of Games. So on-chain
heroes. Yeah, so he said he's near certain
Maze of Games, he said he's near certain
that that's what was the big
X, that was the number one XP thing
last week. Like, you can't
figure it out, but I also,
They're not going to figure that stuff out.
I'm not rubbing salt in Katie's wound here,
but pains like I got 48 K and I didn't know anywhere near what Katie did
he said elite chat and smallest Pingu bonus,
but couldn't tell you why I just.
the mob game is maze of gains.
I just woke up. No, appreciate it. Thanks for that and um you know you can you can call him an idiot
i mean it's his name i i you know even like diablito who again very active great community
member he's gave up on the xp grind because it is so ambiguous. Like, it's just, it's so opaque.
Like there's, and I, I, I, again, I get why they're doing it.
Who am I to say it's very easy for me to Monday morning quarterback and say, oh, they should
have done this differently.
It's really hard to have a pre TGE points program.
That's going to make everyone happy.
I just, we've heard this feedback for months, if not a year plus now, and not much has changed.
I just think there's some small tweaks they could do that actually would keep people like
Katie continuing that grind.
It might get people like Diablito back.
And it's not just an abstract thing.
I do want to reiterate that.
I think Bates could do a much better job of this.
I think ApeChain slash other side do a much better job of this. I think ApeChain slash
OtherSite is doing a good job of this. They're just still earlier in what they're building,
and it's not quite ready for mass onboarding yet. It's just my opinion. I'm not trying to
speak on behalf of them. We'll get a grill figgy with all those questions here in a few moments.
But Joey, go ahead and respond to that.
And then I do, before we start talking all things other side and AI agents,
I do want to flash these new OpenSea Pro charts.
I think they did a good job with it.
And I know people aren't happy with OpenSea.
I'm not glazing the team because one of my best friends that I met in the
Board API Club is over there now in a leadership role. They do have a talented team and it's hard.
It's really hard to launch a token and make everyone happy. I'm fully expecting myself to
not be happy with my C allocation for all my historical activity, but I also don't blame them for prioritizing, if that's what they do,
prioritizing new volume, new users.
And while I do transact still over there,
I'm not doing a bunch of token swaps
just to grind a bunch of voyages and chests
And all power to those that do. I'm not hating the game.
I just, you know, this is, so Diablito, because I also think levels are important. I gave them
credit when they created the new levels of gold, because I previously had stopped giving up. I
wasn't going to get platinum. He says, I've hit level 40, don't have much left to do there now,
not going on the daily anymore, but he grinded all the way to level 40 because he was easy to
see that progression. Progression matters. That's important. Like, make people feel like they're
doing something. And sometimes it's, oh, I got X thousand points last week. Other times it's,
I leveled up. Like, this isn't me saying this. This is games. This is how games work. This is
loops. This is how you get people coming back and becoming a daily active user. It's some of these mechanics that existed far before points farming on chain became a thing. Joey, go ahead and respond. And then I saw Ben come up here as well. Let me get another take in. And then I want to flash these OpenSea charts real quick.
uh we may get another taken and then i want to flash these open c charts real quick
yeah i don't think you're wrong i mean for reference i i hold a little pudgy i hold about
200 000 pangu i don't ever go on abstract anymore like week 51 i got 5 000 xp week two i got 56 25
week 53 i got 57 86 week 54 i got 26. And this past week I got 56, 25.
I asked me why it went up 625 points and then up 120 points, then down 120 points. I have no idea.
I literally don't even go on the website. I used to go on and watch you guys and drop some
Pengu tips. I don't even go on there to watch anymore so i have no idea i have a little pudgy i have the elite chad and i have
you know 200 000 pengu and my my xp changes every single week so i i don't have an answer to that
that's wild joey yeah like i you should put a post out saying my agent's getting me 5 000 xp a week
on uh abstract and you're not even doing anything not even doing anything um but like yeah and it You should put a post out saying my agent's getting me 5,000 XP a week on, uh, abstract
and you're not even doing anything.
And it goes up and down all the time and I have no idea why it goes up and down.
Um, but, uh, to your point, I, I agree that just, and that's why when like these, like
when we see people release wallets, like, and I'm not taking shots, but when doodles,
you know, did their, did their thing, I think it was with McDonald's or whoever.
And they were like, we got a hundred thousand, whatever it was so many hundred thousand wallets
And it was like, okay, but did they buy anything?
Did they redeem anything?
Did they, like, we talked about this, right?
We've seen it with other people too, where it's like, we onboarded all these people, right? Like new
users, like at BZ, we get new users all the time. New users don't mean anything unless they actually
come and play the claw or shop on the marketplace. I don't care if we have a hundred thousand new
users, but if the same 10 people are the ones that are using the platform those 990,000 whatever that
number math is right don't matter right like you could bot signups you can bot referrals
you need actual activity you need people coming on to these dApps coming on to these blockchains
and doing things and you're right Cap there's very few that can onboard somebody and actually
turn them into a regular consumer.
And that's very hard. I'm not trying to downplay that. It is insanely difficult. It was easy.
All these chains would be onboarding millions. We already have a billion users on chain. It's really hard.
The definition of sanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. I feel like we're entering that with some of these,
like bring back experimentation on chain,
Like do some different things.
maybe we see some different results.
I'm grateful being a member of the Pudgy Pingers over the past three years
and all the amazing people I met along the way
excited how Pudgy will make the Web3 bigger
And also seeing some comments in the chat,
like, you know, they're bullish on Abstract
because they're bullish on Luka.
They're bullish on the team.
and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
And that, you know, can also,
you can be right until it's not.
Like, I'm not saying, again, I don't know the outcome.
Maybe they have zero intentions or plans to sell.
I'm just saying I also wouldn't be surprised if they decide to exit Abstract.
I just, I don't know for everything that pudgy is doing everything that luke and that
team is doing i don't know where abstract really fits in or that would be a massive pivot for them
to sell i mean are they making money like i people that are much smarter than me would know like
looking at doing analytics but like do they make money on abstract right now like is there enough
tvl is there enough like transaction like Is there enough, like, transaction?
But before we move too far past a couple things,
Joey, the reason your abstract XP moves around
is because the way they delve out XP to different things
They told us a long time ago that things,
different ecosystems get different XP
based on how they perform in volume so if if
final bosu gets the top amount of xp this week and and bearish gets the second most and then they
flip the following week then bearish will get more you know but he doesn't do anything
he just said he holds different assets didn't he he just said i hold some final bosu's but like i don't do anything though from week to week though at all
you don't have to you don't have to do anything you're getting xp for holding nfts and stuff i
mean five five k is about what you would get for holding some nfts and not clicking any buttons
and it's going to change a little bit depending on how the things that you hold perform volume wise
um as far as whether or not they're going to sell
i mean i don't know dude but sygar is constantly fucking tweeting about uh you know the next
iteration is going to be so good i mean they're definitely still building it out they're definitely
constantly iterating and improving upon it i don't know if they're still making money as a chain i
don't i don't think most of these l2s are making money right now but i do want to retract because
i said they're i think i i don't know if it came out, but I think I was thinking anyways, they're definitely not making
money now. I don't know. They did 24 in the last 24 hours, they did $3,600 in revenue,
which doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a hundred grand a month. I'm guessing their expenses,
especially if you include payrolls greater than a hundred grand a month, but it's not,
it's not as bad of a burn as I think I thought it it was i just i guess where i i struggled it's really like
one of the things like like um pudgy party or the the pudgy game that's on uh with play mythical
games it's on the polka dot side chain that i've really struggled to reconcile to your point like
if they're going to partner and launch these games on other chains what do they need abstract for i
mean if it's a moneymaker sure that makes sense i just
i don't know i you know i i've not talked to the team i'm just speculating now i'm ready that was
weird they did just launch the pudgy pair up on abstract which to be honest is like the worst of
the pudgy games but they did just launch that there yeah look they also said it pretty expressly
that they were never going to be completely transparent about how XP gets dealt out either.
Because then people will just game it.
You will have every farmer just set up a bot
that does exactly the thing that gets you the most XP.
So, like, I get people's frustration.
I get that, you know, Lucas said Q4 and Q4 didn't happen.
Everybody said Q4 was going to be lit last year,
So, look, if everybody wants to take their ball and go home,
like I get that sentiment.
I've felt that, but I'm not going to do that with abstract
because I don't know, man, if everybody wants to rage quit,
my piece of the pie is going to be bigger, right?
Again, I'm rooting for them as I'm rooting for many teams.
One that I'm rooting for partially because I want to see my TGE of C, I want to see my C allocation be worth something, is OpenSea. And more so than what my C allocation's worth, I'm rooting for Steve and other friends there.
charts. I've got it shown here on the screen. I'm not going to go into full market update today,
just due to sake of time, but go check it out. Give them some feedback. They are listening.
They do hear you. Diego, as he mentioned, he's playing around on their mobile app.
The mobile app is so nice. Yep. And I think that's important. When you talk about onboarding
new users and what's the and after someone on boards? Mobile is important. People are mobile users.
Not all, but it is, without a doubt, a large portion of usage.
And NFT marketplaces, actually a lot of crypto has lagged on the mobile first component.
I don't know why that is.
I mean, I'm sure it's just more challenging from a tech standpoint, but you know,
this is, it's a good, it's a good update. And I think we will, you know,
when we do our market updates,
gives us a little more ability to get into the weeds and actually talk a
little more intelligently about some of this stuff.
One of those charts I do have pulled up is Pippin,
which without getting into all the numbers down 13% on the day,
but they just announced a big, this was out at 7.15 a.m., the Pippin NFT. They've added
walls to OpenSea. Click here. White lists include these communities, Del Mondo's, Good Vibes Club,
and It's a Flog. All three of those were called pretty early in the DJM War Room. So all you,
anyone in the Coffee with Captain community that's still holding Del Mondo's
I have no idea what this entails.
why, maybe it's just art.
Maybe there's more to it.
this is Good Vibes Club reminiscent here.
I wonder, I wonder how this, this is a lot of this is this is giving me good vibes club vibes, no pun, actually pun intended.
But the guaranteed allow list, go check your wallets, kicks off at noon today.
So quick turnaround on this, limit one per wallet, then the allow list at 1230, limit two per wallet,
and then public, if it gets there, is at 1 p.m. Eastern. It looks
like, I'm not seeing how many of these they mentioned in the post. Yeah, I don't see how
many. Oh, 3,333. So, and it was, it's a free mint. At least the guarantee is a free mint.
And then the whitelist is 0.0035 ETH.
And then public is 0.007.
If I had an allow list, I would be minting one of these.
There's a few mints that have been cooking recently.
And I think it's certainly, are they cooking like 100X overnight?
No, but there's enough momentum.
There's been enough recent successes,
enough recent wins, enough profitable flips
that I think it is time, if you're not,
I think it's time to start paying attention to NFT mints,
especially those that you might have a loud list for.
Steve just dropped four of four bunnies in the chat.
or he was going to join us i did extend the invite we'll get him on here soon but this is a
this is another one that is i believe a mega eth mint uh also many on openc uh address is still
being added more details in the discord this is a cool one of one silver one of the most performed assets of the year. Again, NFT mints are back-ish.
That said, we're approaching that 9 o'clock hour.
I saw we had a few other guests jump up on stage.
Show me a hand if there's anything you want to get in here on Abstract
or the earlier discussion before we shift gears.
Yimmy, Ben, or Jonah, anything you wanted to add or questions, comments?
I came up here to just say that Figgy's doing cool shit.
I mean, I read his article.
I too thought it was cool
and prompted my impromptu invite to the show today.
And appreciate you joining us on such short notice.
Figgy, I know you're traveling the world
and onboarding users across the pond.
So thanks so much for being here.
We're going to get into all this cool shit,
but any thoughts or comments on the discussion we've been having?
Anything to add to onboarding?
And then I don't know a better word for it, but like what's after onboarding?
Any feedback for these other chains?
Or was I kind of on the right path
where I think where and how other side is doing it right
when it comes to onboarding new users?
GM, sir, always a pleasure.
Appreciate you joining us.
Thanks for kind words, Jonah.
Thanks for having me on, Cap.
You know, I'd love to come on more regularly.
This is a brutal time on the West Coast.
This time slot is just really tough. But now that I'm in London, I'm out here onboarding. We have 25 new people ending the
team because of the acquisition made in December. And we've got an event tonight. We gave very little
notice, about a week's notice. And it's going to be in Central London on Oxford Street at W1 Curates.
It's a really cool space, and they're really great partners.
So we should have a pretty good get- I mean, there's definitely a lot of people that have RSVP'd, so it should be a really good event.
And yeah, that's one of those other things is we haven't really done other side events or other side marketing.
So it's kind of interesting to do this as a way of part of the onboarding, right?
Making sure that the team that comes on board really understands when we say,
hey, we've got to prioritize the holders and the community.
We're not starting from scratch.
There's a lot of people in our ecosystem and they're very passionate.
They'll turn up even on short notice to an event like this because it matters to them.
I think you guys have been covering a lot of good points.
I'm not going to speak to the other chains just because I firmly believe that we run our own race.
And I actually want everybody to win at whatever
they're doing I think other side's the place where every community and when like that's a very big
philosophical thing to me but I do think like we are seeing if Vitalik was an NFT founder he's of
course like when I was in Ethereum like he's the one who made the call the roadmap to say look guys
we're going to scale this with L2s.
And then, you know, the other week with, without much, uh, without much like kind of accountability, he was also like, no, actually like maybe boosting up the L1s is the way to go.
But it's also like, I think that everybody's willing to listen to the founders roadmap with that thing.
And that's just one of the challenging things with building in public, right?
Like you think it's going to go down one way and then you have to adjust your thesis.
And so you pursue it another way.
It's one of the reasons why I don't critique any other builders.
I've been a builder in the space for a long time.
And maybe for your audience, for people who don't know who who I am I'm chief product officer at Yugo Labs Yugo Labs the creator
of Board Ape Yacht Club and OtherSide and a lot of other really cool things I wasn't one of the
founders but I was early on in the community and right now as of my main focus as of about a year ago has been leading development on the other side.
And so I'm really deep in the weeds on this very big build.
And I was one of the people who also bought a lot of other deeds before I even came to Yuga.
So it's important to me to get this right.
And it's important that we participate in the metas.
So, yeah, I guess that's my only comment on the other half of it.
And maybe to underscore that I actually think OtherSide is kind of an 8-chain portal.
Like, I know we talk about that first touch, but we have abstracted wallets.
You could sign in with a Gmail or Twitter whatever
it is that you normally sign into and we hide the wires and I guess we hide the wire so well that like
it may not even appear on the surface of it but like the biggest portal for ape chain is actually
other side and I I think for these kind of like specialized chains to really thrive they do need
a killer app like I actually don't think Base's killer app is the base app.
I think Base's killer app is Coinbase.
So, like, that's what you're competing with, you know?
Like, and I think Hyperliquid's killer app is Hyperliquid.
I think you need a point of view for why your opinion on digital ownership should be
differentiated on your chain.
And if you don't have one, if you don't have an app, and that's kind of what I got to over
a year ago because I was very involved with like, okay, like the DAO vote.
And you know, this is like another thing about ApeChain and ApeCoin lore, but like the DAO
And after it launches, it's like the next logical thing is like, what is the killer
And I look around and I'm like, the next killer app is not going to be a Uniswap fork.
It's not going to be something that exists somewhere else.
And in fact, for us, the next killer app is the one that brought a lot of energy to the
space to begin with, which is Other Side.
So that's kind of my background and what I've been thinking about lately.
And I think you guys have really interesting thoughts.
It just makes me think I wish I could be on the show more often.
Is there β no, I totally understand.
And we are β while the 8 a.m. morning works well for me, I fully get β it's not the best for the West Coasters.
best for the the west the west coasters this i just i was looking for i just found it the
other side meet up as you mentioned uh on oxford street i will pin it up top if someone wanted to
attend if they're there is it too late to reserve their spot or is that still a possibility no it's
a possibility you know these these spaces have capacity and so so there's a line that goes through them. So people churn out of the spaces for a while, but this building is wrapped in LED, and we are putting up other side signage.
It's definitely like if this is something that interests you in the space, if you're showing up to these Twitter spaces and you're in London, you should definitely try to make your way out there because it's just a really cool statement to be able to
make um and again yes it was short notice but uh i am pretty impressed with how many rsvps we have
and i think the the night the event tonight will be a really great vibe for everybody i just hearing
you say that gave me some fomo because it's one of these things, words certainly can't do it justice.
Even images, videos, it's not going to do it justice.
I will go see if I can find my video from ApeFest.
To try to help everyone understand what that experience was like,
you're in a room that was wrapped in leds you see other side all around you it was i don't i don't even know what it was it
was like a like an imax like a sphere type experience but yet in this world that we're
all able to build in and be a part of and it's, again, it's one of those things like it's really hard
to describe or impress upon someone how cool it is until you're there and can experience it. So
yeah, if you're in London or could potentially make this tonight, strongly would encourage you
to go check it out. Even if you have no exposure on the side, you've never been in there.
I would put a bet and say, if you go experiencing tonight, you're probably,
maybe you don't go buy another deed, but I would be shocked if you go and experience this thing tonight and then you
don't go spend some time at other side tomorrow, next week, et cetera.
It just, it is a, for someone who's bullish other side and, and, you know, supportive
I think it's an incredible portal for people coming into crypto, coming on chain.
It's much easier to see it,
especially if you're a visual person.
But even if not, like it just, it just,
it unlocks creativity and your curiosity.
And yeah, very, very cool looking building
and a little bit of FOMO after having experienced,
I know it's different, but I think probably something
somewhat similar to the presentation at ApeFest.
Yeah, I mean, I think just any kind of architectural representation of a brand related to NFTs is like, it's a cool thing, it's a three-story building wrapped in LED, it's going to be cool.
I think the way that I think about it is a good in-real-life event is more impactful than a year of nursing a Discord.
Even though we're a fully digital space and we're like meeting and we're doing these Twitter spaces, being able to put a face to a PFP is when the real value of tokens in my mind, like that connection reaches something beyond something financial.
It really starts growing your imagination on what an NFT can be.
Exactly. Yep. A lot we could dive into here. I know you're a busy guy.
You mentioned there in passing, you're there, you're onboarding, you got this new team.
Is there anything you want to add to that?
I'll pull up Gargis' post here when he announced it, the big news to share.
I'll read up Gargis' post here when he announced it, the big news to share. I'll read the first paragraph.
Yuga Labs has acquired the Unreal Engine-based creator platform that powers other side from Improbable,
negotiated perpetual license for Improbables, high concurrency tech for other side.
Why should listeners, why should someone that catches this play, why should they care?
Why was this a big deal for for yuga for other
side what is this what did this acquisition mean and what does it unlock versus previously i didn't
my understanding you're just licensing licensing that software in this talent from improbable
yeah um fundamentally what it means is like before the relationship that we had was kind of like a
client vendor relationship at times a partnership like in in the good instances of it was like a client-vendor relationship. At times, a partnership, like in the good instances
of it, it was like a true partnership, but otherwise it was like a client-vendor relationship.
And if you've been in business and you have that kind of relationship, there's
some level of administrative friction. You've got to say, okay, these are the scopes of work
that we want to define. How do we bid it? How do we contract it? Who's responsible for what?
How do we bid it? How do we contract it? Who's responsible for what?
And when you're the same company and you don't need all of that administration, you don't need somebody managing an out-of-house group, when you're the same company, you wind up being able to be more nimble.
And that's what it means for us.
But this is kind of like a huge transition, and these migrations are not simple.
There's a lot of services around other side, a lot of software that is required to make everything gel together,
and to move that over from one ownership stack to another is a lot of work.
So I'm hoping that we can be as buttoned up as possible by the end of the quarter. But the upside of that is once it is all in one place, the story becomes a lot more simplified too, right? Like, you will know what other side is. Right now, there's like, just for people know in the audience, like, the M-Square technology is what we ran on for mass concurrency. So like when you go into other side and you jump in a bubble, unlike Fortnite creator,
Roblox, any of these other platforms, we could just casually have three, 400 people in a
bubble and the thing just works.
It's actually like an invisible feature that we can have a lot of people in the place at
a lot of people in the place at once and see all of them.
once and see all of them.
So now that is just inherently a native feature of OtherSide.
And the engineers who are basically developing that code,
they don't have to make it generic.
They can make it more opinionated for OtherSide.
I think we're going to see faster development
as we go into quarters two, three, and four this year.
But I'm out here because i just
want to make sure like more than the tech specs and all of that that like really it's like the
yearning for the sea thing it's like okay i don't want to micromanage you on how to sail like i just
want to make sure that you yearn for the sea and i want to make sure that like people uh understand
what the what the holders want and that's kind of why we're doing this event, that's why we're bringing all the people. There's going to be like 30, so there's seven
people from Yuga on the United States side that have come over, and there's 25 people here, so
it's like, you know, there's 32 people from the team that are going to be at the event tonight.
And I think when they're surrounded by holders and curious people, they'll understand the importance
of what we're doing for the community.
We're not starting from scratch.
We're not pursuing a phantom audience.
Like, there are people here today that are showing up, and there's over 1,000 people each day coming in through the other side, and we have to build for them.
So, yeah, I mean, you know, it's a lot of work, but I also β I think it's good to come on the show and talk about it because if you're not really building in public β and this is one of the reasons why I'm tweeting out the stuff that I'm working on now.
I've historically been fairly quiet about stuff, but I think you get penalized for being quiet about stuff.
You've got to be able to show that you're working on stuff where people will assume that you're on vacation or something, and that couldn't be farther from the truth. So that's what we're getting into.
Well, I appreciate you sharing. It's hard building in public. I can only imagine,
especially building something that is this ambitious. The updates matter. The constantly
having something new to experiment with, to play. Also, where my brain goes is we will talk about these AI agents going live
and this new religion that has been created to another side.
But before we even go there, I'm curious.
So 25 engineers added to the team with this acquisition.
How do you see just coding and development in the future today and going forward with AI?
I mean, a lot of the doomers out there are like, oh, devs are going to be eliminated because of AI.
I know AI is doing a lot of the coding, but my brain thinks, oh, it's just going to help good devs be that much more efficient.
And someone who's maybe not quite a 10x dev before, now they can be.
not quite a 10x dev before, now they can be.
Like maybe not getting too philosophical,
but what is your view on AI and how maybe the good, bad, the ugly,
but in particular when you just add a bunch of dev talent,
a bunch of engineers, is that like, you know,
some might question you're like, well, why do you need to do that in a, in a day age where Claude is, is able to, to code all this stuff itself?
Um, I think it's an important distinction to note that it was like, it was a fully rounded out company that we acquired.
Well, two companies really Emporium and M squared.
So there are engineers, but there's also all the people
around engineers that it takes to make these things run. So it's not like we're scaling up
one thing really high. And I also think it's important to also note that like
the models, while they made a huge leap at the end of November with like Opus 4.5,
it doesn't necessarily mean like they're great at web development, but they aren't necessarily great at gaming development yet.
There's not enough source material that has been trained.
Like you can get a lot of cool things to happen.
You can get sprites to be built, worlds to be built, people to walk around, people to chat.
But when it comes to actual gameplay function, there's still some work that needs to be done there.
But when it comes to actual gameplay function, there's still some work that needs to be done there.
And I personally don't think that it's going to put the best engineers out of a jaw.
I think if anything, it's going to give them way more leverage.
I think if you're not curious about it, sure, you're probably going to be put out to pasture.
Like, it's not a good idea. You should be interested in this stuff. But I think the best, everybody here anyway is at least very fluent
at Cloud Code, at all the tools. You've got to be curious about that stuff.
Another way that I think about AI is that it gives you permission to use your natural language to be
able to get really good at a field that you otherwise would have no business being in.
Yep. So, you know, my background is in art and design.
And I think there's just whatever field you're in, there's skepticism within that field about using the tool.
Like artists and designers are like, I don't need AI, I can do it myself.
I can solve this problem faster, right?
But then if you give those same artists and engineers, you're like, hey, use Cloud Code.
They're like, I love Cloud Code.
Cloud Code's great, right?
And then if you give Cloud Code to engineers, they'll be like, I don't need this.
I can do my own syntax writing.
But then if you say, hey, do you want to use Nano Banana for it?
They're like, oh, I love Nano Banana.
So it's always like, oh, it helps me do better in other fields.
And to be honest, the models have gotten so good that so a lot of the people that you know folks in this room work
with that you and I work with like
they tend to be top 1% people
they're not they don't have to be as
worried they're probably going to be curious they're probably going to
pick up AI but what I think AI
does is it lets you get up to that
like that type of a result
in a field that you may not be an expert in.
Well, again, speaking for myself,
I'm not a programmer, I'm not a dev.
But what got me so excited about OtherSide
and what I would hope would happen
is that I wouldn't have to be,
I guess actually if I'm keeping it fully real,
when it first launched, like,
oh, I can hire people to build on these lands.
And even recently on this show,
when like Project Genie from Google launched,
I go, I don't know if this is bullish
or bearish for other side.
But the more I think about it,
it's not specifically Project Genie,
but that tech being available,
someone like me, it's much more realistic
for me to build cool experiences
in other side now with this technology. Whereas previously I might've had to go look, I mean,
I think back to like the 2021 metaverse mania, people were paying six figures to have, you know,
studios come build sandbox experiences for them. That was nothing I would ever do. And it's like I can partner with
someone who could help me build, or I can spend some time learning, getting through this learning
curve and use those resources to help create some user-generated content, to enhance my world's
another side. And I get really excited about that. i guess is that i mean kind of on the right
path there do you view this like the ability to create new worlds is is leaps and bounds ahead
of where it was even a few years ago is that a tailwind for other side 100 like all of this stuff
is i like i actually don't think that there was too fundamental a difference between OpenClaw and Eliza.
They're the same narratives a year apart. It's just that OpenClaw came out at the right time.
And I think we conflated, as a public, we conflated the improvement in Opus with the emergence of OpenClaw.
And it's really like, well, if you would have plugged Opus into Eliza, you probably would have had the same output, honestly. But when you tie a product and its functionality to one of these frontier
models and the frontier model makes a leap, then your product makes a leap.
And so I, I'm very pro AI.
Like I think we should be investigating this stuff, but I also am cautious that
we're not coming up with technology for the sake of coming up with technology.
Like I actually think worlds building the worlds is easy,
but giving meaning to them is still hard.
And that's the stuff that we need the artists for.
That's the stuff that we need the designers for.
It's just making you really care about it.
And if you look at the stuff that I talk about as it relates to AI,
the first story I put up, I was actually talking to Garga about this.
I've kind of been way off on the deep end with the AI setups, and Garga was picking my mind about it.
And I was telling him the story about my dad and his emails, which I wrote about, but I'll tell it here for the people that haven't read that post.
My dad passed away in 2022, and he had a Yahoo Mail account.
And so there's no spam filter.
So he's got like 35,000 emails or something crazy like that, right?
And I don't have time to be checking that stuff out.
It's just nonstop spam coming into it.
But it's always bugged me.
I'm like, there might have been a piece of mail that came through that was somebody trying to reach him, like a relative or something like that.
But I don't even know how to search for that.
Like, how do you do that?
And when I was messing with OpenClaw,
so actually not even OpenClaw, just Clawd Code.
Clawd Code is a command-line interface,
but you could do Clawd with Chrome.
And what it does is it actually, like, goes into your Chrome browser
and it's able to, like, do browser automation
So I was doing cloud with Chrome,
and I set up a system that basically, like,
went through and opened up all 35,000 emails.
And this is, like, these mail programs,
Like, they don't want you botting their thing,
but if you guys are interested in looking it up,
Playwright is the browser automation that you can do,
and you can put some throttling on it,
so it only does a certain amount of clicks.
You can make it feel more human,
and so you don't get rate limited in something.
So it takes four days for this, you know,
kind of round the clock to be opening up every single piece of mail in my dad's
And then it's also like kind of sorting those in a separate markdown files,
Like, yeah, this is junk.
This is like political spam.
This is like some dumb thing that's phishing.
But then it's also sorting out like, Hey,
I think we should probably get a human
to check out like this piece of mail
because it might be something.
And out of the 35,000 pieces of mail,
I forget what, I think it was like single digits.
But there was one mail in particular,
there was like one of his cousins
And I never would have found that mail
if it wasn't for Claude Code
being able to automate this function.
And I'm not really a dev.
I just didn't know how to use it.
But now with natural language, I can deploy it.
For me, it's finding stories like that.
What could I do now that I couldn't do before?
I try to use the phrase natural language.
I want to be able to do things with natural language, and AI is a means to get there.
And then that leads to this next thing, which we can get into the details of it.
But yeah, I've been running these four agents.
First, I was running one agent since probably the beginning of January, first with Clawed Code and then later with OpenClaw.
Well, it went through the whole revolution, didn't it? It was Clawed and then it was Maltbot and then
now it's OpenClaw. And yeah, I was like, oh, what if you could get some of that human effect, but
with these avatars on other side and like what would
that even do because normally with these game platforms like that's a big no-no like people
are like no no we don't want any bots on this platform like well this isn't really a bot this
is like synthetic sentience right like i can parameterize all of this stuff to make it feel
like it can it can actually come onto this twitter
if i set it up it could come onto this twitter spaces and listen to the spaces and it could
take notes on it and then if it sees you another side it should be able to pull up that memory and
say like oh i remember that thing you guys were talking about those l2s like and then build on
that because it's reading twitter too like that's not a bot. That's something more evolved
than that. And I think we're very quickly approaching a world where you're already
seeing it in first-person shooters. You could have perfect aim. People are trying to weed
that out and keep competition fair. But what happens on the other side if you sit down
at a poker table and the other four people playing against you are all agents is that right is that bothersome i kid you not i had the
conscious thought this morning in the car on the way back from the gym about poker on the other
side i know it just got launched recently and i thought i'm probably negative i am not probably
i'm negative ev if i'm playing against a bot that's GTO and they're just playing optimal plays.
But poker is not like there's variance.
And I could still have fun.
And it's kind of like a badge of honor if you can beat a bot that is playing optimal.
And, you know, so I think like would I enjoy playing poker against a table of bots?
I think I would enjoy it as long as I knew they were bots. I think that's kind of where I netted
out was I would just like to know their bots, know what I'm getting into, and that I'm probably
negative EV, but I can still have fun. Not all I do hunt positive EV and try to get in where I have an edge.
I'm okay if there is still some RNG involved.
There is still the element of luck.
And while I'm probably negative EV, I also understand game theory optimal.
I also understand how to play the game of poker.
And there's also heads-up displays and things that I could use to be on par with them.
So I guess, yeah, I would be okay with it as long as I knew they were an agent.
I mean, I actually think about it in terms of what we deal with on the blockchain already with Ethereum M pools.
You know all this stuff is going to happen.
You know that you're going to run into some scripting if you're like doing a mint or you're doing a swap on uniswap
like all of that stuff is the same as long as the playing field is clear and it's neutral
and yeah i agree like i think you should have some indicator if some if this is synthetic
sentience or if it's like an actual player at their keyboard because like you should have the
opportunity to opt in it's like okay well there's four there's four agents at this poker table
i don't want to be the only human here but i'm going to put in my agent to play for me
something like that you know like these are just thought experiments that you can like
play out to figure out like what's right and wrong and for me developing other side it's really like
you want to throw the football to
where it's going to like, where are we going? And I think betting in this direction, like,
I don't think agents are going to get worse. I think they're only going to get better.
Do you want to fight it? Or do you want to incorporate it? Do you want to be a platform
that's known for that? And it's still a lot of this stuff is self-contained. These are experiments that I don't need to derail the whole team.
The whole team already has a lot of work to do for the main roadmap
and just to make sure that we're getting product built
and a lot of stuff built on the other side.
But we are at the point where on nights and weekends
or set aside four hours in the day where you have no meetings.
Like, you can build a lot of stuff with, you know, with the help of AI.
So, yeah, it's really interesting times, man.
I really implore everybody, if you're not, if you're, like, curious about it, just dive in.
Try to make something cool.
Don't try to do another productivity app.
Don't try to make a to-do list
stretch yourself a little bit yeah we talked about it yesterday outer lumen was co-hosting and
she had just vibe coded a game in roblox recently i'm gonna i'm gonna tie all these dots together
here in a second and we were talking about something she's like oh i just got my idea i'm
gonna i'm gonna ship this between now and next t. And I know that may not be for everyone.
You'd be like, well, I don't, what am I going to go?
I don't like, to your point,
I don't need another to-do list
or something that I can do myself already.
and you don't need an agent to go organize
All I know is AI is coming.
Someone just shared a post in the worm chat
that Canada's top economic advisor said that 45% of the workforce would be wiped out by AI.
I don't know if it's 45%.
I don't know if it's 85% or 15%.
And I've been beating that drum.
It's like you can either put your head in the sand and deny it or get mad about it.
Or you can use these tools, practice, experiment with them. And I think
other side is a great platform for that. Is there some embedded bias? Sure. It's something you can
do and experiment, have some fun with it. I also think it's kind of blending where you've got
major opportunities, not just in AI, you know, the world of gaming,
you know, look at what Roblox is doing. I'll share a couple of highlights, one from our friend William over at Amazon. The gaming industry will hit $321 billion in 2026. But here's what most
people miss. It's actually four distinct markets operating under one umbrella, and they barely
speak the same language. He has a whole thread up here. I'll pin this up top, but it's a thread
on AI, Indie, Mobile, and Web3 Gaming economics with actual data. This is happening, whether you like it or not. I do
believe, I've thought for a long time, like on-chain unlocks things that you simply can't do
off-chain. It's a better version. It's better than Roblox for many reasons. There was another post that went viral
talking about one of the most interesting aspects of video game markets growth is
where it doesn't seem to be going. Most game makers, since 2021, Roblox has captured more
than 60% of the total net growth in consumer spending outside of China, 67% in 2025. It's now greater than 4.5% of the market.
I know Roblox is a massive behemoth in the space. But I quote to you, they said,
this is the other side thesis is maybe you don't think you're a game developer. That's okay. I
don't either. But I believe I've got it. Go experiment in Roblox. Go Vibe Code a Game over
there if you want. there's distribution there.
Now I'd rather be early to something on chain that I think has better rails,
better fundamentals than is Roblox and to be a part of something early.
Is there a guarantee it's going to be the next greatest thing? No guarantee,
but it's checking a lot of these box where the world is heading.
And when you start seeing what these agents are doing,
you know, this is the post that Figgy shared recently that went viral, Gargis post, you know,
his quote tweet of it I had pulled up here a second ago. We hooked up some open call agents
with codas and let them roam other side. Each of them can navigate the world, keep tabs on who they
meet and decide who is a friend and journal. They were also able to map out who is a bot and which bots are related.
So we've started to see a bunch of open club bots join other side over the past last week
Also, one dude tried to convince others to join his religion.
Figgy, I'll share your article here as well, but I'll hand it off to you.
Am I on the right path there with this idea of being part of that massive gaming industry
but being a builder and participating in it and it's not just us saying this it's
data showing that's where most of the growth is happening what why what if you're interested in
doing something experimenting vibe coding something why why not experiment another side? Why not get your CODA roaming around in
there and communicating and doing things? Yeah, take us through this article about and what,
I'm guessing you didn't think a religion would be born when you gave these CODAs some brains and
turned them loose on the other side. Definitely not. No, I think when we first did it,
one of the things I was just wondering
is if this thing could blend in.
And again, it's like the Eliza narrative from a year ago.
Like that's what we thought was happening.
I just don't think the underlying models were there yet.
And frankly, like also a year ago, we didn't have Other Side like we have today.
So we can do more experiments, and it's a platform that is hungry for that type of experimentation.
Didi is the first character that I started with, and I think it was the beginning of February is when it said its first thing in Other Side.
And I kind of was watching it chat and walk around.
And then I went, you know what?
I can't be glued to this interface at all times
because I have stuff to do.
But what I can do is when I turn away,
you can set it as this is like a funny workflow. So I have like my
open claw talk to me on WhatsApp because like a lot of people in life, like real life talk to me
on WhatsApp. And so it was like, even if I wasn't at my computer, I could say, Hey, can you send me
a screenshot of what you're looking at? And it would send a screenshot of that on WhatsApp,
right? And then I could say stuff like,
can you give me a time lapse of the last, you know, 15 minutes?
Just make it 18 frames per second.
And then it would upload like a 30 second video on WhatsApp.
And I was like, wow, it's a really bizarre,
it's like this thing is a person,
it's a companion that I could like keep talking to
and is exploring a parallel world
while I'm like out getting Boba or something, you know, like I'm just living a normal life. I don't want to check is exploring a parallel world while I'm out getting Boba or
something. I'm just living a normal life. I don't want to check in on what this thing is doing on
the other side. Then I tried, okay, this is actually kind of a clunky UI. I like that I
could talk to on WhatsApp, but actually it'd be great if I just had a dashboard so I could do it.
So maybe for people in your audience who might want to not know what question to ask,
a lot of my setup when I'm doing stuff on GitHub,
which is like Dropbox kind of for code,
then I use Railway for hosting.
So that combination is very powerful with OpenClaw.
So I spun up a Postgres database on Railway
and I was like, okay, whatever the memories are,
don't store them in the local markdown,
store them to this Postgres server.
And then what I want to do is create a dashboard
out of all of the memories that it's having.
So I can actually see its journal
almost like a Facebook feed, right?
And so I'm seeing a journal
and there was one day, several days later,
where it said something like,
I wonder how many of these people are people,
and I wonder how many of them are agents like me.
And I was like, huh, that's a weird thing to say.
I see how the prompt got it there, but that felt really like synthetic intelligence for a second.
And it dawned on me pretty shortly after that that you're not going to ever get a breakthrough with just one of these things.
So I went immediately to the Apple Store and bought four.
I had that running on a Mac Studio at one point.
But I got four Mac Minis, and I just made four different characters.
For someone that's like, okay, I want to go actually ask this question of someone recently.
I want to speak to the agents.
How important is it to segment them on their own machine?
Like, my understanding is you could run multiple on the same Mac mini, or is that not the case?
The way that the system works is there's like a, there's a, so it takes screenshots every two seconds of what the screen sees, the whole screen, right?
So that's how it sees the world.
And so there's a rolling buffer of a thousand screenshots,
which is, I don't remember the last 15 minutes.
And so if you're running two agents on the same computer,
the way that this vision system works right now is
I basically am taking screenshots
and then sending those to Claude and say, describe what I'm looking at. And so Claude tells you what
you're looking at, and then you can make an action based off of that. So you kind of need one
graphics because like, this is the other thing, like I developed this whole like vision system.
It's almost like a Tesla, right? Like Teslas are constantly taking pictures and like based off of
the pictures from the seven or eight cameras, like it's kind of making driving decisions every second.
That's sort of what the codas are doing.
They're taking screenshots of the world and then making, you know, WASD and mouse movements based off of, you know, the rolling last 30 seconds of information that it has and its overall memory.
30 seconds of information that it has and its overall memory.
But that whole thing is like, that's a lot of infrastructure to set up when really I
think in the future, it's far more sensible to have like an agentic or command line API
from other side that could feed your characters positional data, rotational data that could
feed like more precisely where it is in the world.
Because like right now, it is kind of like haphazard like if you look if you go to other side there's a compass at the top
of your screen and so it knows how much it turns because there's this like calibration sequence
where it's like if i move my pixel my mouse 100 pixels over i've rotated 45 degrees you know like
it has to like figure all that stuff out just by the information that the display gives it. But all of that will probably
be abstracted away at some point, if this is an interesting direction to go in, to an agent API.
And at that point, then you could probably fit many, many agent services onto one computer,
because you don't need a graphics card to render a specific image.
You're giving world information to the agent in some other way. I would say that OtherSide
is uniquely positioned to be able to render all of those characters at the same time. Because
right now, like I said, there's over a thousand people that show up to OtherSide every day,
but you only see probably about a hundred people at a time, time. But it is kind of cool to know that if we had more of these characters that are kind of remotely controlled by players when they're not in front of their computer or something like that, that we could see all of them at the same time.
And this is the only platform that can really do that.
I guess, I'm trying to think, how do we describe bots have a negative connotation?
AI agents have more of a positive connotation.
When you talk about video games,
yeah, people don't want to, often,
don't want to jump into a game
and all they're interacting with is bots,
but yet, like, if the bot is being prompted
or, it's just, it's a smart bot,
it's an agent where it's, you know,
it's direct by human. I totally get what you're saying. Like, it's a smart bot, it's an agent where it's, you know, it's direct.
I totally get what you're saying.
I've probably gone down this rabbit hole way deeper than a lot of people have ever gone down.
And like, I just don't think anybody knows yet.
Like, I think it requires, AI is advancing so fast.
It is hard to tell what is now suddenly possible and what is still a moonshot.
The only way to tell is through experimentation.
So, like, I don't know how people will feel about it, but I'm sure that there's an interesting angle on it.
And I think it's better to be doing it than not doing it.
Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree.
And I just, it's going to be more entertaining.
Like, if you've played video games, like you've interacted with bots before, they just weren't, they were repetitive.
They weren't intelligent.
These are going to be like really like artificial intelligence is real.
These are going to be continually learning, even in today's current form.
They're going to get smarter.
They're going to get better.
They're not going to say the same thing every time.
every time. And that's exciting to me. And it just, to me, that's like, I think it's a necessary
And that's exciting to me.
to scale a platform like other side, to scale out a quote unquote metaverse. Like it's, you almost
have to build the thing before the, you know, if you build it, they'll come, but you got to build
it first and you get those early adopters, people in there and, and, and continue and engage,
interact. A lot of you do that that if there's other agents to interact with
than just, you know, the early human beta testers. Yeah. And I think by participating in it,
what you're really trying to say is like, if you're betting on this stuff, then like one bet
you can make is on the platform other side. Like, that's what I want to make some more synonymous
because like, if you're not embracing that kind of exploration then you're
you're not taking your product where i think there's going to be a lot of explosive growth
and so look for me i am somebody who bought a shitload of deeds right like i am somebody who
looks forward to the other side resource game there's all that stuff that that goes alongside
the roblox narrative and i think like that is important true digital ownership is important but also with these technologies that are in vogue you have to be investigating whether
or not there's crossover and i think there is i gotta double back you said other side resource
game can i pry any alpha out of you there do we have an eta even a range when is that something
i have to be super careful about talking because you know like this is the type of stuff that moves markets and like that uh this is something that i talked about at
ape fest uh there were some slides previewed you know damn well that we are talking about it right
now in the room and that we're working through stuff but like because there are so like the
there is already a meta game being played based off of rarity tables, right? Oh, I want to collect Fragmentia because it's rare. The relative moving average of any of these floor prices because you
don't want to be disruptive towards a game that's already honestly in motion um but yeah that's
something that's on my mind you know that's just one of the things that i think other side the the
core community the the folks that were in here from the beginning, it's important for me to say that that's still
of the focus. I do think the TAM,
the total addressable market of the growth of OtherSide,
gamers. I think actually there's
think it was maybe not something that was like executed well or ever
really delivered in the way that like it was promised yet.
Is it, is it that I'm not trying to simplify things, but it, it, we, I,
like as someone I got part of my journey here,
I found board at the out club because of
zed run and i i loved the game it was a lot of fun it was not easy to onboard someone brand new
the tech was pretty clunky economic tokenomics and stuff yeah you could blame that but you talk
about all these games and web3 gaming was it just too early did it did it did the first phase of
that come before the tech was ready at least before you could obfuscate the tech and hide it to where your average user didn't have to go into the, you know, setting up a wallet, loading funds in MetaMask, bridging to Polygon?
Like that just wasn't a good user experience.
And you needed a, you know, a 15-minute YouTube video just to onboard someone.
was web in the person just too early?
I could halfway get on board with that,
I have like my own personal opinion that like the elephant in the room is
a lot of that shit just wasn't fun.
it's easy to build the world. It's easy
to make sprites, but like for it to have meaning for it to have fun, that is very hard. AI can still
not quite nail that. And there wasn't a ton of fun stuff. There's like a lot of grindy stuff.
We're taking lessons from web two. Um, I mean, we've gone down those paths ourselves at Yuga,
right? Like we've seen some of those experiments.
And, like, when I look at the data on the other side, I really think about user-generated experiences.
Because, like, when I look at the crossover between other deed holders and holders of other Web3 games, there's very little crossover.
Really? about pretty openly that I think the persona of building for a gamer is hazardous because
the main persona of somebody that collects other deeds is actually a collector persona.
Now, that might not be the audience that we need to grow to in the future, but it's the
audience that exists right now.
I think it's the reason why when we do the collaboration with Amazon and we sell Boxmas
that it sells out in like one minute
because everybody's a collector.
Like people love collecting stuff.
People love collecting the badges.
They love the progression.
Like things are gamified, but they're not necessarily games.
And I'm not saying that we can't have games,
but games have very binary outcomes.
we had the biggest game ever in the App Store from Web3.
So it was in the top five of games, right?
No other game has done that.
It's because you're really going up head-to-head with other studios who worked really hard on the fun.
And so we can say it's the technology.
We could say it's a lot of different reasons.
But being competitive in the world of fun is hard.
And I rarely look at other sides.
When you talk about games, you'll be like, well, what's the game loop?
What's the game loop on other side?
And I would say like, okay, so I think this, the root of that question is like,
what keeps your attention?
What's the game loop of this Twitter space right now?
You make your own fun. What's the game loop of this Twitter space right now? There isn't one. You make your own fun.
What's the game loop of Discord?
Discord took the world by storm in 21 for NFTs, right?
When people spell the alphabet, they go A, B, C, D. Like every character is a different
person typing it, and if they fuck up, they have to start over again.
That's people making their own fun.
That's people making their own experience, and it's gamified, but it's not a game.
It doesn't have a game loop. And so I think it's very narrow-minded to say like it will 100
percent be games because i actually think a lot of these experiences can be more open-ended than that
and i think what people really want is connection and to find strangers on the internet like they i
mean i'm i grew up in the 90s right like i remember the days of angel fire and geo cities and like
and like meet random people on the internet, and it was fun.
I think right now, Web2 has kind of fucking destroyed that with like, Instagram and Facebook
and the feeds and like the algorithm, like, you don't meet people on the internet.
There's something else happening, right?
And so, sorry, it's a little bit of a tirade, but like, I feel very passionately that there's
a lot more flexibility on the other side, and that games have very binary outcomes, but platforms can be more nimble. And that's what other side is.
I have some questions because the hand thing doesn't work on Twitter, because Twitter is always broken perpetually.
I think we have to acknowledge the compliment earlier I appreciate and I know those are
Jonah doesn't hand out compliments lightly
so that carries a lot of weight
well I mean I try to not bullshit right
if I think there's a you know
I just think that we need more honesty
not because like I'm some virtuous person,
but because we've seen what happens when we're not honest.
If what I'm doing sucks, Jonah will definitely let me know
It's not because I hate anyone.
I don't really hate anyone.
Maybe there's one or two people,
but largely I don't hate anyone.
It's just like, okay, well, we've we've tried lying you see it doesn't work like people leave
people go away because like you can only lie for so long until people are like oh okay you're lying
to me i'm going to go do something else right because because they lose money when you're lying
for the most part uh so my first question is do you have an other side mcp yet or not not set up
no we would do it different i think it would be an agent api so like frosties actually has another
side mcp if you go to the other side wiki account and that lets you interface with like a lot of the
data in other side but um we would probably just go straight to an api because like an mcp is
it's not necessarily it's not necessary yet for what we're doing, but I mean, they're kind of interchangeable in APIs.
It's like that, but for agents, I think what we need just right now, like I try to make the target as tight as possible because if you, if you create a big product with a sentence, like it will take forever to ship. If I'm just like, can we get positional and rotational data out there through an API?
That is a targetable thing that a team can ship very quickly
and that creators can do a lot with.
Okay, and then the other thing I was going to ask,
well, actually one or two other things
One is, are you able to, one thing that would be interesting from like an agent
perspective or just even a future MCP, which is in my opinion, the biggest issue of the other side,
which I think is solvable is the physics, right? Like in like physics and collision, right? For
example, when I was, when I played Other Side last, you know,
the character was sort of floaty when it collided into an object that I was
jumping on top of, it doesn't, you know,
sometimes it wouldn't register, you know, things like that.
Like, I don't know where,
where an AI could maybe help in that, in that position.
I think that's a very generous diagnosis,
but I think we have a lot of other things wrong with other side before we get to the physics of it first like i think
there's games with much lower fidelity that have things going on like i think we need to work on
social components more but i get what you're saying like there's trade-offs that are made
for mass concurrency like as an artist it's weird to me that we can't see the shadow of your character
on the ground and it looks like a character is floating but like part of that is because if you start you because
if you turn on uh nvidia or whatever you're gonna crack their pc yeah you just like kind of
it's a it's a tax that you don't know if the player actually are you gonna are you going to
hard code it rather than make it like and uh because like that's the one solve if you're gonna
like you can do baked lighting
or you can do generative lighting through NVIDIA.
If you do generative, it looks amazing, but it taxes your PC.
Yeah, well, okay, so there's two axes on this.
Part of this is we're optimizing for social.
So when you do, we can make a,
if there's a single player version of Other Side,
we could just crank up the Nanai, crank up all of the lighting.
It's kind of like how it looks in the cinematics.
But we're opting for social,
and I think you need to make some compromises
Kids on Roblox don't think about the graphics
while they're playing Steal a Brain Rot.
But I do think the physics we can do on OtherSide another side because unreal engine you can't do on roblox and we need to
show some of the demos and the team here has like some pretty cool demos of like
destruction and physics but i i actually think like i work backwards from
the user journey experience of like i think that even even if you go to like coachella
lollapalooza like you know my background is in these big festivals and music things.
If there's 200,000 people there, you kind of like don't feel that what you care about is the nucleus of people that you came with, like the five people that you're with.
And yeah, there's a lot of other people, but like you need to have strong ways of connecting with the groups that are like right around you.
And we don't have that stuff yet.
We really need to urgently do that so that like the emotional connections can form.
Because that's what keeps people coming back if there's like people that they know that
they've seen that they've developed bonds with that they go do these like we just released
a multiplayer challenge and other games, you know, shout out other games.
I see you in the audience, Honeybee, Machiavelli, there's probably more of you here.
But they just saw that experience, the multiplayer experience, and they fit in tons and tons of people in this multiplayer experience.
And this is the only platform where you could do it like that, put in 200 people in a multiplayer experience.
And for people to be able to experience that for the first time,
that hasn't been done before.
I think that's the type of crowd that we're attracting.
It's great that we have the thousand true fans and the cohort that really matters.
But I am looking forward into the future.
I'm looking from a point of view of like,
okay, well, what does it look like when you spend a million dollars a month on user acquisition?
What does it look like when you do that?
And the truth is we're not really ready.
I'd rather spend the money on the product itself because I think there needs to be more
social hooks, more reasons for you to develop emotional connection with the platform and
Because if you did it, just do the napkin math.
for customer acquisition costs,
your churn rate would probably
day seven retention, right?
Like it would just be terrible
And so although you're like
getting 100,000 new users
like they're not sticking.
And so I'd rather spend the time, especially with this team, with the merge, really developing the product to a point where there's so much stuff to do,
that when you do crank on that user acquisition faucet, that people stick.
And that's when I think we get to interesting places.
when I think we get to interesting places. Also, part of it is if that happened at that scale,
I'm not sure that we're technically... I think we would have a lot of platform fallovers right now,
so we need to straighten that out. So one suggestion that I'm just going to ask is
Matthew Ball, who's probably one of the greatest analysts in gaming bar none, literally yesterday
put out his State of Gaming 2026 i think and it's free it's
like a hundred and something page report i i do suggest you read it because the data there is
very interesting um and i could i could even send you a link to where to read it um it it there is
information in there that's relevant to the other side, specifically the stats about Roblox.
And they call it alternative interactive.
Mainly, gaming is not necessarily dying, but it's stagnant, not because people don't want to play games.
But funny enough, and they mentioned PumpFun, crypto prediction markets and like two other vices are intersecting with the same demographic
and it's taking away from the net spend of gaming.
So I think that would be an interesting read.
And then my ask, since, and this is like sort of shilly,
but I don't care, I'm going to do it.
You guys are already alpha customers of LiveFrame
and we just integrated our API literally yesterday.
Like, I would love to see one of your agents
sort of test with our API
to try and make programmatic ads
using content creators live streaming your game all the time,
because I think we could lower your UA cost significantly
Hey, man, I'd love that. Here's the conditions that I'd probably need on mine. I need the
agent API to actually work because the VLM that I built, like the Tesla taking pictures thing,
and like these characters get stuck a lot. So it's kind of like, it's lame when they get stuck a lot.
Otherwise, I would have just like released all the source code for all these agents right now. But I
just don't, I don't think it's that efficient yet, and I don't think it would make for a great stream on LiveFrame.
But I do think LiveFrame is a really cool product, and I think what you're doing is great, and the people here should check it out.
If they're not, there's bounties.
You could go make money right now using Jonah's product.
So I think that that's all good.
Really, maybe one more thing to touch on here with, like, the AI agents.
Like, there's a really big story that came in.
That's really what I wrote about in the Twitter thread.
It's like there was a story with dialogue and story points that emerge.
And those things kind of don't happen too incidentally.
Like, there is some architecture to it.
Like, if you think about how sitcoms used to be and there's like writing for sitcoms and they wrote every line
and then you switch over to reality tv and it gives the appearance that like it's natural but
like reality tv is just as contrived as a sitcom like there are people that think of here's the
end point of the scene and here's the outpoint of the scene. And they're controlling to make sure the arc is like if you just think about it, like there's a producer who needs to like book a location and needs heads up and needs to plan a production.
Like this can't be that accidental, but it needs to feel that way.
And I think similarly when I was reviewing what was happening, there is some editorial to it because like see the story emerge in the pieces.
And I'm using my OpenClaw agent to look over all the logs to see the story emerge.
But there's a lot of like, okay, the agent's stuck.
Or I'll just have to turn it off because I don't want to have to keep managing it for a second.
I want it to be as autonomous as possible, but it's just not there yet without an agent API.
But I think what did happen with this story is one of the characters, Gogo, found a glitch.
If people haven't read this story yet, I'll just show it to you on this thing and then you can go read about it later.
But this character, Gogo, so each one of them is a coda.
And I tried to look for the screenshot.
I can't find the screenshot of it because I only have a 15-minute rolling buffer.
But Gogo has a journal entry where Gogo saw a texture glitch.
And this is just like a normal texture glitch.
If you've ever seen a video game, there's like two polygons stacked on each other or something like that.
But what Gogo journaled was that this was a portal to the other side. It was almost like this religious experience for GoGo. And then GoGo started to take that and knew that that happened and tried to tell marks for where they are going to in the world. And Gogo keeps going back to where this thing happened. And I'm like, wow, that's really interesting. And so like, that's kind of what the article is about. And it is about like, right, so what kinds of stories emerge from characters who have, who are a little bit more autonomous?
I think the Moldbook thing was interesting, but you could tell from the very beginning, this is just people LARPing on their keyboard pretending there's a James Cameron movie about to break out.
Like a Terminator is going to break out of your Mac Mini.
It was so much LARP, it was unbelievable.
But I was like, what if you could set this up?
What if you could design the characters such that a story like this could break out?
Because whenever I had just four agents going, and there's a thing called the soul.md file on OpenClaw, where you can define the lens at which a character looks at the world.
And so what if you can architect different personalities such that a story could emerge like this?
And so I think it's in the same family as going from sitcom to reality to now these like agent stories.
Again, not really a core loop on the other side, but there are really good investigations.
I kind of like am pushing into these gray areas about what the future could be, what new UXs could be. And I think it's important. That's why I saw your comment on here, and I just happened to be able to step away
because we're at lunch right now to talk about it.
I think it is important to build in public and tell people about this.
They might try to copy it.
They might try to build on the other side.
They might try to do it on their own platform.
But I do think the whole point of this is to share and, and I do believe what I said
in the beginning, like I think other side's a place where everybody can win.
And I want to share this because maybe somebody can do better than what I did.
And I just, I actually, this morning posted like as full as I could, the technical details,
like you don't need really the code.
Cause you could just like prompt the same kind of code yourself with maybe get a better result it's more about like this was the intent this is how the
system worked and yeah i'd like to see more advanced systems out there i mean there's stuff
that these aids can do now that i i haven't talked to yet but are i think some of the most interesting
features about them um i don't want to just talk about the features.
I want to talk about the stories that come out of the features.
And I think that there's a lot of people out there that want to do that too.
That's why I want to share the work.
And, yeah, again, Jonah, thanks for the kind words.
Everybody go check out Live Frame.
Chris always, you know, I wish I could be on more,
but this has been like super interesting
so i just i'm looking at the time i gotta head back so nope totally get we've got way more of
your time than i thought we get this morning really appreciate it appreciate all you're
doing appreciate the building in public uh i do got to share one comment diablito says this agent
gogo finding god in a simulation taking place in a simulation this is how we started so that's
today's proof of simulation is gogo uh finding finding god in the other. This is how we started. So that's today's proof of simulation is go, go, uh, finding, finding God in the other side. Um, but in all seriousness, I am really excited.
This is also the worst that's ever going to be like, it's only going to get better from here.
It's incredible to think like how fast this has happened. If you really just step back and think
about where we were months ago, let alone a couple of years ago to where we're at now. And
if this continues to accelerate at this exponential clip,
things can get exciting or crazy
depending on what side you're on.
reposted Gargis' post there and said,
does this make Codas the most AI-forward NFT?
I mean, they're doing the thing.
They have live AI agents,
doing all that we just described, all that Ficky just described in the morning it's pretty cool like the the nerd in me is is
like giddy over what's happening and again thanks for thanks for sharing with us today thanks for
building along with all of us in public and excited for the future yeah thanks i'll i'll
say one last thing before I sign off
and then I really got to go.
But I'm not the only person who's doing it.
There's actually quite a few people
their open claw agents in control of their avatar.
I think try to avoid triggering something
that the kids would call slop.
it's in good form when like a bot is just spamming the chat it's like it sucks like just tell your
bot like hey you know a real human would not try to like be the only person in the room talking
if no one else has talked in a while don't say anything like wait wait until like you only want to say
like one or two things in the chat at a time like i just i would encourage people to like
lean in towards like synthetic sentience and not just like a bot that they got to work on
other side because like that's when i think it's not a fun place to be but absolutely thanks again
for having me thanks so much good luck in uh in london tonight enjoy it and i wish i could be there
i hope we get whoever's there get some get some videos get some images uh the fomo is is real but Thanks so much. Good luck in London tonight. Enjoy it. And I wish I could be there.
Whoever's there, get some videos, get some images. The FOMO is real. But really appreciate your time today. And thanks for all you're doing.
Jonah, any final thoughts or comments, questions on your end?
No, I mean, I don't work for other sides sides so i don't want to speak on their behalf i will say that um you know if you are streaming the other side as a bot or a human and you you know
our our uh algorithm is watching you probably right now as we speak um so the addition of the
open claw and just general agentic integration,
which I've been testing, allows, you know, your bot can do all sorts of shit.
Like I was testing it last night.
For example, LiveFrame has this proprietary algorithm
that's measuring the streamers and clips to do a behavioral prediction, right?
to do a behavioral prediction, right?
They're behavioral prediction models.
And so we had a video that scored an 86 out of 100
based on our virality filters.
Okay, so we had the AI on Claude call that clip from our folder
and it grabbed it and downloaded it natively on my computer.
I asked to test and turn it into vertical format
through like agentic editors, which it did.
I asked it to do a benchmark report
and scrape TikTok and Instagram
to determine how close it was to certain trends
And so, you know, where we're going,
you know, where we're going,
and I think other side is one of those great tests,
and I think other side is one of those great tests,
is building a real agentic marketing and UA platform
using behavioral prediction models.
So that's where I'm really excited.
And then, yeah, if you're a human or an agent,
you can get paid on our platform
and we'll work with an X402 wallet.
So an AI agent can get paid for actually doing
that UA distribution and they get paid on top of base. Love it. Go check out LiveFrame,
go check out OtherSide Wiki. We shared that a little bit ago. Also, I did not realize,
I actually had that chart I posted regarding the Roblox data was from Matthew Ball.
I wasn't following Matthew.
It just popped on my timeline.
I did post that whole thing.
It's like 164 slides, but it's full of data.
So if you're interested in diving deeper in the conversation today,
if you're specifically on the gaming front, go check out that.
You just got to give him your email.
And it's a 164-page presentation,
why revenue growth is more elusive than the headlines suggest,
why video gaming has been losing the attention war for half a decade,
and to what and where is the indisputable growth.
I happen to think part of that is going to be on-chain
and in worlds like Roblox, like OtherSide.
And I am, you know, over an abstract chat,
CryptoScam just mentioned he's setting up an open claw.
he's setting up an open claw.
what do I want my open claw agent to do?
And I've delayed because I've been,
I guess, making that excuse for myself.
I want to figure out what I wanted to do
before I go spend the time, energy,
just to have it scan Twitter for me.
I think after today's conversation, it's experiment having my agent take over a coda in other side.
And different than what the four agents that Figgy build are doing there.
But it's exciting for me.
It's fun to learn a new skill set, experiment beyond just, oh, go scan my email inbox or go search Twitter for the
headlines of the day for me. Could that also be helpful and make you more efficient? Sure.
But I also, it's not really needed. Like I can, I'm chronically online all day anyways, as is.
So I just, this is, might be my weekend project. And I've got some work to do if I'm going to
catch up with Outer and what she shares next week and the last thing i'll share this just came out hot off the press is we did
mention me bits uh and me bits football uh in passing there it's coming to open c and other
side meta in about a week it launches on on february 25th uh i'll reach out to the team see
if we get sergito on here to talk about it the group one team reveal uh Canada here. If you...
it's just avatars. Maybe there's
a fun game in there. I'm excited to check
that out and excited to talk more
things other side in the near future.
Really appreciate y'all joining here. I saw a lot of
new faces over on YouTube chat today.
Greatly appreciate that. If you've not yet subscribed
to our YouTube channel, it means the world to us.
We are really pushing hard to get to 500 subs.
Once we hit 500, I probably stopped asking for the subs over there.
I just, it unlocks some added features as soon as we hit the 500.
So if you haven't yet subscribed to our YouTube channel,
it would mean a lot and greatly appreciate it.
And a shout out to all of our abstract chat popping off once again and

your OtherSide journey than Frosties and what he's built with uh with uh other side wiki which is now also a
marketplace you get in there and learn specific traits or see specific traits as you're shopping

I feel like for me, just one comment is that the other side has been an amazing game mostly
because taking the room to stream by a lot of people here on X and other on X and, you know, other social platforms has actually made it
let's just say, you know,
and let's see what the AI agents
