Thank you. Thank you. All right, how's it going everyone? Happy Tesla Tuesday. Hopefully you're hearing me. Thumbs up
if you can hear me. Always having little technical difficulties here on the platform. Awesome. I see
the thumbs here. Landon, really appreciate it. And this is another Tesla Deep Dive on the Tesla Tuesday.
And my name is Taj, filling in for Ryan, who's normally here, getting Penny up on the stage,
that we can get this wonderful discussion kicked off here.
And just a lot of things, always as usual, happening within the world of Tesla.
Never a dull moment.
There's just so much to
talk about, so much things to dive into. And really appreciate all of you that have been
coming into the room. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, whatever it might be,
feel free to drop a comment, share with any friends that you may have, share this out.
But Len and my friend, how are you doing today? Really happy to have you here.
As usual, Tesla Tuesdays, how's it going?
Hey, Taj, I'm really glad to hear you there.
I'm sorry, I'm out in the wind a little bit.
I had some things to talk about with you,
but I'm worried this morning.
So I thought I'd share.
This is a group that's so great and supportive
with Tesla and friends and family.
I'm worried about my family this morning.
I hope your families are all safe and well.
But we got this surprise snowstorm here.
You know, I'm in the mountains of Colorado.
I thought I was going to wake up to a sunny day trying to get towards one of these springtimes here in the middle of February.
I hope everybody had a good Valentine's Day. trying to get towards one of these springtimes here in the middle of February.
I hope everybody had a good Valentine's Day and you got to see some of your loved ones.
Well, the reason I worry is I wake up this morning and I'm thinking about this show and my friends and I'm thinking about my family and how they're going to get where they need to be going today.
They got to get to school. My 17 year old, my 21 is out there making his first
job, making his mark on the world. And I love it. And then of course I got my partner going to work
and I've got my dad and, and I'm just worried because I look out and I see the weather.
I can see where there's a car stalled out over there for some reason. I can see it from the house.
And so, you know, I want to report that there is some good news, even in this kind of squall. You know, this is the kind of stuff where 200 years ago or whatever, this is what was killing
people that were trying to get over the mountains. They say, oh boy, it's spring, isn't it? We can
get out there and we'll be fine. And then boom, you wake up and you're socked in
and you're buried in the snow and you're dead and you're dead. That's what happened to a lot
of these people trying to get to California over the Rocky Mountains. And so I got my family out
there doing their version of that in the year 2026. And the thing that helps me relax and that really
feels so good, Taj, Penny, you know what I'm talking about is I got this app on my phone
called Tesla and I look at it and there's all these Teslas in there. So blessed. We've worked
really hard to make this happen, but I can see that my son, he's 17 years old.
He's on his snow tires
and he's crawling up that mountain towards his high school
and he's doing fine.
I can see he's in FSD.
You know, he and I have talked about
the parental controls on his Tesla
that helped to keep him safe.
And he gave me what he says,
yeah, let's put that speed limit in there.
And that way we don't have to worry about getting out of control. And I got my partner,
she's doing, she's going the other way. She's going down the valley and there's traffic and
it's slippery. And she told me that her friend did slip off the road last night trying to get
home. And I got my dad, He's 81 years old. And well,
okay, he's going to the rec center. Good for him. He's working out a little bit. And then he's got
some meeting. He's a caregiver. He helps people deal with grief and losing their partners. And I
know that he's safe on his way there. I can see, oh, look at that. He's 89% of the time he's driving his miles are on FSD. And I'm talking
about Tesla FSD because we got to do something. I know there's a million things on your plate.
As you get to work, you start this short week, but let's start with not dying. Can you just do
that? I mean, you've heard some of these highway figures in the US, but just go back to 2000. Is everybody in here 26 years old or older?
Maybe there's some people younger.
There's definitely some people older.
But since you were born, you've lost a thousand or more people that you might have met immediately.
And that's based on a million people that have died since you were born.
Since the year 2000,
a million people have died on American roads.
Forget about all the other things that happen
when you don't die in an accident,
when you can't walk, when you lose your limbs.
I'm sorry to be so tough this morning,
but I'm worried about my family this morning.
And it helps me to know
that they're in their Teslas. Those are the safest cars you can buy. And they're using
Tesla's full self-driving. You can find cars that have it existing. You got Model S, Model X,
and Cyber Beast that come with it in the Lux package. you own it and you can sell that vehicle to somebody else
and they get that FSD.
You can use it for $99 a month.
You can find $3 and a quarter every day
in order to keep yourself and your family safe.
And I'm sorry, this is not the most upbeat.
I love this group.
I want you guys to be excited about Tesla, but I'm worried
about my family today. I'm worried about your family, and I just want everybody to stop dying
on American highways. Get a Tesla, 99 bucks, and your car. You push a button. It'll take you to
work. Park in the spot while you're distracted and not quite awake yet. Thanks very, very much for letting me share my concern about my family
and what I'm doing about it to keep them safe for $99 a month.

Yeah, I really appreciate you sharing that.
And of course, your concerns, heart goes out to you prayers and everything. But we trust that all
will go well. And it's really good to hear that your reports tracking your family and everything.
I think it's really, really cool. And the thought of so many teenagers, you know, texting and driving
and all that, like that kind of goes all out the window with this. So that's really cool to hear
that, that there's confidence and that your son's actually excited
to be in the position where he is with Tesla.
So that's really cool to hear.
But Penny, my-
You know, he tells me he's just learned to drive.
And he tells me that using FSD
is like having a reminder about his driving class.
He says, oh yeah, boy,
I should have been in that other lane
and FSD just did it right. So says, oh, yeah, boy, I should have been in that other lane and FSD just
did it right. So, yeah, you're right. It's cool to have a little teacher along with him. I'm glad
you mentioned that. Yeah, really cool stuff there. The other thing, too, that you did mention,
which I found very interesting. So where my high school was, was in New York and there was an
intersection right by my high school that they would constantly have accidents right
there. There was no stoplight there for a while. And the way they did it, I don't know if it's all
of New York, but by where I lived, it was fatal accidents that actually determined where stoplights
go. And it was like constant, constant crashes. And because there were so many accidents that
there weren't fatal, but the number was so much right there that they ended up putting a stoplight there by the time I made it to the high school. But it's just really funny
that, or not funny, but interesting how many accidents happen that are like, you know,
simple, could be avoided. But anywho, going back to this whole Tesla discussion, I just find it
really interesting some of those facts and statistics that you threw out there with the
number of accidents. The number is just absolutely crazy. And those are only the fatal statistics that are really tracked. The non-fatal ones aren't really tracked
as well. But Penny, welcome to the stage. Really appreciate you. As usual, co-hosting,
pass it over to you, my friend. I had a similar experience. It's rainy here in San Diego too,
is flooding a bit last night. I had to take my oldest daughter about 30 minutes from home
to a, uh, a cheerleading practice. And on the way it occurred to me, it's like, man, this drive is
so much safer because I have FSD. I, when, when it was time to pick her up, my eyes were like so
heavy. I was so tired. The roads were wet.
And, and at the end of the day, I had a lot of confidence in the drive, regardless of my current state, because the car is just so incredible.
It just sticks right where it needs to be all the time.
It's careful when it needs to be careful.
It moves when it needs to move.
And it's such a pleasure because you don't always think about the safety aspect.
You think about the convenience, like how convenient is it that I can pay less attention
on this driver?
I can focus on the conversation with my kids or all of those other things that make paying
99 bucks a month for FSD worth it.
But then when you realize that it's actually an insurance policy for your family, like
I don't even want my kids necessarily to be sharing rides with friends on rainy days, unless their friend has
a Tesla, because it's like, man, maybe I should go pick them up. My car is safer for three bucks a
month, or I'm sorry, three bucks a day, a hundred bucks a month, whatever it is. That's a small
price to pay to know that every car ride you're on your kids, your family,
you know, your loved ones, they're all taken care of.
They're as safe as they're going to be because getting on the road is one of the most dangerous
things that we take for granted that we do every day.
You know, it's just part of our society, but most people take, like you go to the ocean
and everyone's afraid of getting in the water for sharks, but they don't realize the danger
was the drive there, not the sharks in the ocean.
But Tesla's helping solve that is so incredible that we are, you know, early adopters in that
and get to see it go from basically a novelty system to something that really is saving
lives and the number of potential lives to save that million lives since the year 2000.
And the number of potential lives to save that million lives since the year 2000, that's, that's crazy in 25 years, a million people.
So if they cut it in half, which presumably they could cut it much lower than that, but let's just say they cut it in half.
That's half a million lives that this could save over the next quarter decade.
And that's just in America, right?
I assume that if you go worldwide, there's even more fatalities. So,
uh, you know, this, this FSD rollout, I saw Sawyer posted a photo of a couple cyber cabs
that were in the rain. I don't know what city it was in probably, uh, probably Austin, right? But
soon the cyber cabs will be flooding the streets to steal his quote. I mean, unbelievable that this is the timeline that we're on that we get to,
really enjoy it.
So I'm having a fun time.

it's been,
just amazing. But yeah, I saw the post that Sawyer put out of that saying that he hopes that they, really, really cool stuff there. Great, great weekend for me too, as well. And it's been just
amazing. But yeah, I saw the post that Sawyer put out of that saying that he hopes that they flood
the streets. But also, this is a few days ago, Sawyer posted a picture of, I believe it was Waymo
or one of the other competitors, and was about to actually crash into the Tesla, the Tesla avoided
it. So it's like, it's kind of funny that, you know, there's all this talk about all these RoboCabs and so on. So it's like, they're not all created equal.
And like the data that Teslas have, I think is just absolutely amazing because, you know,
they're going to get all lumped in and say, oh, robots can't drive. But what happened in that
post that he shared was actually the Tesla avoiding some other RoboCab that was not as,
I guess you would say, uh,
proficient in driving on the road. And I thought that was just really interesting, but who knows
if there was, if there was an accident, God forbid there wasn't, but if there was an accident,
how that would have been spun in the media. Right. So you just never know, uh, with what's
going on in the media. And speaking of media, like another thing that Sawyer posted, I thought
was really funny that he, he, uh, he, funny that he community noted Elizabeth Warren by saying like, you know, of course, she's throwing shade at everything that Elon and his companies are doing.
But it was like, oh, they have paid zero federal taxes last year.
And he community noted that.
So Sawyer is really active.
But anyways, his community note actually says is that if you've actually not cherry picking the data, you'll see that they were unprofitable for over 22 years.
So like the losses were carried forward and so forth.
So basically it was 22 years of investment to reach the point that they are right now.
But you cherry pick the data.
And yes, same thing with if an accident did happen, they would cherry pick the data.
And that's what would be on the headline.
So this is really interesting how that goes.
Yeah, there's, you know we gotta go ahead penny if you want seems like the the media for a long time has had an anti-tesla bias i think it started with the fact that tesla wasn't advertising
so anything good that they said about tesla, you know, uh, words against the people that were funding the ads, the F one side of the fence defended, uh, you know, they
thought that, that this was the company of climate warriors and it would only
get, you know, political or ugly in the media, not because of politics, but you
know, it's got a little, maybe even dirtier now.
And people like Elizabeth Warren are taking any chance that they can to take
shots at Elon, to take shots at Tesla.
I'm sick of those
people. I hope they get voted out of office. Like what a boring narrative. This guy is clearly
responsible for bringing, you know, the closest thing that we got right now to competitive
manufacturing back to America, making America great again. He's building rockets in America.
He's like without Elon, our national security would be a complete disaster. And when we have our politicians, you know, trying to pick
him apart and say he's too rich or whatever, meanwhile, their own stock portfolios are going
through the roof. I'm sick and tired of that. I wish that we could just focus on the technology,
focus on the future, focus on, you know, the good things that make this fun and
brought us all into this Tesla space, but you can't avoid it. It seems anymore.
Denny, I wonder if we're dialing it in. I mean, folks like you and me, we are tired of this.
We're tired of the rhetoric. We're tired of being told what to think. We're tired of being told what to drive. And so maybe this is where we need to
be right now after what you talked about. You know, we're driving Teslas in 2018 and we're
considered to be, you know, liberal environmentalist tree huggers. And, you know, then we're driving
Teslas in 2024 and we're mega. And, you know, everybody's got a label for us and we're just
trying to buy the best product for what we need to do which is get around this world.
We are going to have RoboTaxi and we are going to find I think more than what we think right now
that it's going to be so easy in so many situations just to grab your app
and punch up and get a robo taxi there in a few minutes. And that's going to get you around to
where you can go out to dinner. Do you want to have another glass of wine? Well, you don't have
to worry about that like you do now. And you should now, because one of the reasons, one of the biggest reasons after speeding,
you know, is that we do have our substances.
You know, we use them in the evening.
We use them to relax, whatever you tell yourself.
And, you know, we, so rather than try to change that behavior and tell people don't drink,
don't do this and that, let's just keep them safe, get a ride.
And the way to do that is RoboTaxi.
Right now in Austin, they've got seven, at least seven of the new CyberCabs in pre-production
testing. Elon says they're going to start CyberCab production in April. He's doubled down. He's
tripled down. He keeps mentioning it. And the way we're seeing the parts line up in the factory
and the people, the jobs that we're seeing advertised for Tesla. Boy, if you're into,
if you would like a career change, a job change, your next challenge, SpaceX and Tesla have got
them all over their websites, XAI, anything you're doing from the ground up, you could work
for one of these companies that's
changing the world. Are you ready for that next Starship test launch, Penny? I think we got
version three coming up and maybe mid-March. I'd love to see that thing go off again.
Well, if it's version three launching, you know, that's another reason to make it out, but you know, they're going to do the booster catch soon.
All of the different things that we, that we look forward to at every starship launch.
You know, every single time that there's enough warning, I'm always considering trying to make it out there and see another one.
They are so incredible.
A Falcon launch is already incredible.
I get to see a lot of those just
living in California from the distance. They fly over my head. I don't even realize they were gonna
launch. The Falcons are launching so often now. And eventually starships will be like that too,
but they're still rare enough. They're big and crazy enough. It's a whole to do to go watch a starship launch. It's worth a mini vacation for your family.
The feeling that you get when those rumbles, I don't even know what to call them. It's like
shockwaves from sound that just travel through the air and they smack your body and you feel
the starship launch as you hear it. It's like nothing else. I strongly recommend that everyone get a chance and spend some time.
I think they're only launching out of Texas still now, but soon they'll be launching from
Florida too.
So yeah, get out there and watch a Starship 100%.

You've been so busy.

Kristen, how are you doing today on a Tuesday short week?
There's a lot going on.
I was visiting my grandma last week.
And she's 87.
She's older. So, you know, we're moving a little slower.
Didn't get in here.
But I'm back, and just a lot going on.
I'm excited to see people around the world get the opportunity to do FSD Tesla
as they're sending it to different countries, finally, unsupervised.
So that's exciting.
Have you got any travel coming up?
I know you get around the world world you see the sites you meet
the people you got your friends and family anything on your radar for some travel to summer
maybe a tesla festival here in the u.s or a light show are you going overseas well there is a lot of
great tesla events going on in the states i think there is you would probably know with tennessee i believe might be having one florida possibly they're always doing something but i'm
probably going to go to uh the tesla europe takeover again in in uh austria it'll be june
5th and 6th so that's exciting i'm looking forward to that do you plan a special trip for that
chris or do they invite you? I mean, that sounds amazing.
I want to go.
They did invite me.
I will just hang out.
I will hang over there and go on a family trip afterwards.
I mean, you should go.
It's absolutely gorgeous and beautiful over there.
The Tesla Austria Club is amazing.
And just all the different Tesla clubs and their groups that come out and visit everybody.
Just great people.
Wonderful people.
You learn a lot.
This is just for the nerds who are in the Tesla community.
We love this stuff.
So it's great.
Really cool things there.
And that's one of the things that I'm jealous about because where I live, by the way, this is Tad speaking behind the Wolf account.
I don't get to experience that because I live on the island of Jamaica.
And when I do the research, like all the reasons why, one of the things that just makes me laugh is it always says the chaotic traffic situation in Jamaica makes it a few years out.
But I can't wait for it to actually spread around the world everywhere.
And I think it will make roads safer.
And I think it's really, really cool that this thing is happening.
Funny enough, there are a lot of Teslas here in Jamaica, believe it or not.
Even a Cybertruck.
I passed an Army Green.
It was like match finish with a black trim Cybertruck right here in Jamaica.
So really interesting there.
But, yeah, really cool stuff. And going back to the whole SpaceX launches as far as the rockets, one thing that I really find interesting as being a space nerd, I've always wanted to see one of these in my lifetime. It is definitely on my bucket list. If I have to fly and travel to get there within the next two, three years,
I'm definitely seeing one because I've always wanted to see that as a kid. And I think it
really inspired just like a huge generation of exploration, science, and kids just dream bigger.
And I find it really interesting. No one's talking about this right now, but NASA is getting ready to
launch Artemis and people are going back to the moon and no one's talking about this right now but nasa's getting ready to you know launch artemis and uh people are going back to the moon and no one's talking
about this and i truly believe it was inspired by all the advancement that happened uh with spacex
and all these launches but i don't know are you guys paying attention to that at all like the
whole artemis mission even though it's not directly a spacex mission but i think it really
is inspired by all of the uh the advancements that happened there. I got this. Yeah, the second Artemis and traveling around the moon. And this
is really important as we get ready to speed run the moon, right? We need all the data we can.
We need people out there. We need health information. And yes, so they're not going to go
plant a flag this time, but we're going to get around the moon. We're going to get people out
there farther than they've been in a very, very long time since I think 1973, 74, 75.
And you're right. The SpaceX and the European Space Union and everybody else that's trying to get out of this
gravity well that we call Earth and get out there in space and start expanding. This is what Elon
talks about with the light of human consciousness. Do you buy into that? Do you guys, what if we're
the only ones? What if on all of these other space rocks that are all spread out
farther than we can even fathom, what if we're the only ones? The soup right here on our planet,
the creator, however we got here, we're here. Are there others out there? I don't know.
But if we're the ones, I'd like us to protect this because I love humanity.
I mean, we're kind of ugly on a day-to-day basis and we're fighting and bickering and,
you know, fighting for opportunities, fighting for resources.
Well, we got a future to where we can stabilize that and get more people,
the amazing abundance that Elon talks about.
And we need to do that by expanding beyond
this rock. I had a funny little thing that I read the other day, the European Space Union,
you know, what is this, pep rallies, right? We got the high school football teams taunting each
other. Well, they like to say that, hey, they've had some pretty good luck with this new rocket.
In fact, they're 100%. And that sounds pretty good luck with this new rocket in fact they're a hundred
percent and that sounds pretty good you know when you're talking about six launches maybe it's not
a statistically important 100 why do i say that well because of falcon 9 and you guys were going
over this falcon 9 is the first partially reusable orbital class rocket in the world.
And you know how long they've been doing it now?
At first, there were three launches in a row of Falcon.
Oh, my goodness.
Those three launches almost broke the company.
They were just, they went up.
Nope, it exploded.
Nope, again, it exploded.
The fourth one, if it had failed, Elon said that was it. There would be no SpaceX right now, but that fourth rocket made it to orbit in that amazing SpaceX team led by Gwen Shotwell.
SpaceX team led by Gwen Shotwell. Wow, they did it. And you know what? They've got it down.
What do you say? They've got it down to a science. Over 600 right now, over 600 Falcon launches.
And they've gotten to be so statistically perfect. Over 600. Yeah, there's another rocket company out there
that has 117 that are pretty good.
Yeah, well, SpaceX has been pretty good for the 117,
the 117 before that, the 117 before that.
These are the people that are getting Starship ready
to go land on the moon and to start to be a lunar base
to where we don't just go every 25 years.
We have people living there.
We mark it and we make it as our own.
That's the first step in expanding
the light of human consciousness.
I know that's a big thought for a Tuesday morning, isn't it?
But don't we wanna protect it in case something happens?
Let's not let our generation be the ones that let humanity snuff out
because we're pretty exposed here all alone on Earth.
I'll land this plane and say, I'm excited about Starship.
I'm excited about Artemis.
We got NASA led by Jarek Isaacman.
Think about that.
The experience, the knowledge.
The guy that's been out there on the most recent private spacewalk is in charge of NASA.
I love it.
And you know, that was definitely inspired from SpaceX as well, right?
from SpaceX as well, right? Jared having launched on SpaceX rockets, getting involved
with NASA because of his relationship with Elon, and at the time Elon's relationship
with Trump and the administration, I think that we're just so incredibly lucky to have him in
charge at NASA. And I think, yeah, there was, you said it's inspiring a new generation,
and that's true, my generation. So those of us who are really excited about space,
there was a long gap.
They shut down the programs during our early childhood.
And we got to listen to our parents talk about
the space missions that they enjoyed.
Meanwhile, we were just sitting there twiddling our thumbs
like, when's the next program?
When are we going to Mars?
When are we going back to the moon?
And who knows, that maybe never would have happened. Certainly not at the pace that it did. If it weren't for
Elon and SpaceX getting involved, if it weren't for Elon trying to spread that human consciousness
to Mars and beyond, you know, I don't think that of all of the planets and all of the stars that
there's no life anywhere, but there's this concept of a great filter, right?
Where maybe life doesn't get past a certain point.
Maybe there's something that's so difficult to overcome
that it's the choke point for life.
And, you know, as we get more intelligent
and as we can build more technology,
we also open up the doors for more dangerous things
that we can build.
You know, we can take ourselves out with biological weapons or nukes.
And maybe it is that no civilizations get to the point where they're spacefaring before
they destroy themselves.
Maybe they don't go multi-planetary or multi-solar system before they take themselves out with
And I think that that's much more likely than there was no life anywhere ever.
I mean, if you really think about how difficult it is
to keep everything in order
when we have that kind of leverage,
when we have the kind of weapons that we do.
So I think, you know, it's a great responsibility
of our builders to try to focus it towards good
and to get past that great filter
and to get to a point where our consciousness
is a little bit
more redundant, even if it's only in the same solar system, a single planet away, you know,
that's a big step beyond one. Two planets is twice as many as one. And that's just the launching
point for whatever we do after that. So, you know, it's so cool to be able to be excited about it.
Again, I wish that it would have been in my early twenties.
So maybe I could have tried to been an astronaut or join, you know,
NASA on this moon journey, something like that.
Maybe would have been in the cards if it happened 20 years ago,
but just to even be able to witness it now is so incredible.
And I'm so happy and excited for the people who are the right age to get
involved with that sort of thing. And who will, you know, be the first to live on the moon and be the first to live on Mars. I know
that I'll probably get a chance to see that in my lifetime. And that's just incredible.
It definitely is. I think it is too. Taj, go ahead. And then let's talk about Optimus soon too.
That's a humanoid robot. Go ahead, absolutely that really cool stuff there now I'm gonna say it definitely
is uh something that will inspire the next generation and even uh myself uh when I was
looking into like space programs and such when I was younger unfortunately I had a little bout
with claustrophobia but now that I got over that with space tourism coming on the radar that's
something I might sign up for because you're like, you know what?
I was a little bit young and afraid of tight spaces when shuttle program and all that stuff is going on.
But now that I got over that, I think I might be one of those guys that signs up for the space tourism with SpaceX when that gets going.
Which, you know, he still says that the goal is Mars.
But for right now, the stopping station is the moon.
And, you know, sign me up for that.
I'm definitely into that.
But, yeah, as far as Optimus and all that stuff, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.
Also as well to bring Kristen back into the conversation, whether it be space tourism or your thoughts on optimism.
I'll pass it to Kristen first and we can go to the others.

hear what's going to happen.

You know, I'm excited about what's going on.
And just what Penny and Landon here have to say, you know, Artemis is exciting and we pour billions of dollars into it.
And it's good to see it moving forward.
But as far as SpaceX, Elon is just incredibly efficient with his companies and what he does. SpaceX is so efficient that it makes launching these Falcon 9 rockets something better than just launching the Artemis. I mean, that's hard to say, but he's doing something that you can reuse over and over again further past just these launches of satellites into space or going up and coming down, we know the ISS is going to be broken down and we're not
going to be using that, but to make a base on the moon so we can go further out, instead of just
watching the Apollo missions that all happened and then it just kind of went quiet and we stopped,
moving further out into outer space and exploring more because there is options to go out there and
see if there's more life out there. I mean, you guys were saying we're not sure if it's doing when you've got
people like obama who who had an interview news like there's there's aliens out there you know so
people have their different opinions people have facts who knows what's really going on but you
know i think we really should be exploring and do more and i'm excited about it so yeah and optimus
is super exciting too because optimus obviously will probably be some of the first humanoid robots that will go up and do these missions.
We won't have to worry about humans having an issue going.
It will probably be these robots to some degree.
So, it's exciting.
I'm thinking about that version 3 Optimus.
that version three optimist, you know why I like version three. Elon's got this really cool theory

is that the third version of almost anything is the sweet spot. You know, the first thing you're
trying to build a company, maybe you're trying to get a new product, you know, figured out what do
people want? How are we going to make it? How are we going to sell it? And then you get another version and people are, oh, this is exciting. This product's
here to stay. Maybe there's a second version. It's got some of the bugs worked out. But that third
version, man, that's when it really starts getting good. Everybody's on their game. They've been able
to fix the things with the first ones that they didn't work out the on their game. They've been able to fix the things with the
first ones that they didn't work out the way they thought they've learned. And now what do we have
version three? This is the Starship that they're going to launch in March on top of that booster.
This is Starship 39 and booster 19. What does that mean? That 39 times they've launched this starship
not to get to the moon. This is very different. This is testing. And so they say, all right,
let's send it up. And I want to go to this altitude. And I want to try to do these three
things. And it's probably going to explode. And that's okay. But we want to see if we can push it to it until it blows up.
And that way we'll know where the safe parameters are.
So that's what I'm expecting here.
Maybe some fireworks, maybe not the perfect landing that we're seeing now after 600 of
the Falcon 9s coming back to Earth, partially reusable.
But we're getting there. By the end of this year, we're back to Earth, partially reusable. But we're getting there.
By the end of this year, we're going to have this thing down.
We're going to move into refilling these in space to get to the moon,
to ultimately get to Mars.
And I'm with you.
So version 3 also coming.

We should be able to see that about any time.
Where in the heck is optimus version 3 elon says these amazing things he says you might not be able to tell that it's not a person if
you're sitting next to it you might not know it's not human unless you're really paying attention. That's what I'm talking about for a version three.

We're seeing exciting things from China
and we're seeing these coded dance moves, the flips,
and Optimus is gonna be different

on the real world and learn from everyday experiences and look at you, not just handing
you the popcorn at the Tesla diner, but this is going to be the one that gets in and knows you,
knows what you need to happen. I can't wait for version three Optimus.

otherwise, I would just love to hear some thoughts on that, either the space tourism and the fact
that Optimus might be on the moon. Love to hear your thoughts. Yeah, well, thanks. Thanks for
having me. And thanks for shooting these over. I know sometimes I can't make it, but a great bunch of panelists here.
Yeah. I mean, I think, you know, I wasn't here for the first like 35 minutes,
but really I think, you know, Tesla is just in a very, very exciting transition state right now,
right? We're seeing that this is a new, not even a new chapter, it's a new book.
We're seeing that with all the
transitions, you know, at the Fremont factory, right, they're literally shutting down the SNX
line at the end of June for the humanoid robot. And I think all eyes are kind of heading towards
that now. So as a car enthusiast, and as a Tesla literally owner myself, I'm very bummed. But at
the same time, I understand that, you know,
as an investor, I'm very excited. But I think the humanoid robot, I mean, as Elon would say,
it's the money glitch, right? Like, it's kind of a money hack. It's going to be one of those things
where with the integration of Grok and really the FSD cameras, you know, depending on, you know, how it's really going to become how quickly can they get this humanoid robot to do human like things in certain edge cases,
like to the point where can consumers order it versus is going to be like an enterprise first
launch, especially because that's where ultimately where all the money is, right?
And as we saw with FSD beta FSD supervised it did
take a lot longer than expected I mean you're talking probably about five years
to get to this v14 where it was solid so you know I think with these humanoid
robots it's just gonna be how well can they get to the software to the point
where like in the same case for the FSD where it's like you can have
it unsupervised right where you don't need to train it uh you know because I've seen you know
Tesla doing a lot of training they're they're doing um I've seen some testing where they're
you know just walking around and kind of like you know mimicking like how they walk to kind of like
teach um the data set for you you know, the optimist.
But it's like, we know that they're using them in the factories, you know, in different
working stations.
They're walking around.
I think they're building this stuff.
So I think it's really, it's going to be exciting because once you get that to that point, then
you can figure out like, okay, we want you to work on, like, as you said, the moon, right?
They're going to send up, I don't know, make this up 50 robots up there. And the next
thing you know, you know, they're helping lay the foundation for the, you know, the, the, the moon
base. But, you know, it's, so I think it's going to be a process to get to a software point where,
you know, things are really good. That's going to be a process as we know um but
at the same time like they they've clearly solved like autonomy so they're going to be able to solve
this as well it's just it depends on the time but who knows they could be they could have had a lot
of learnings in the past five years which of course they've had. And, but yeah, it's exciting. I mean, this is going to be, you know,
the amount of crossover between SpaceX and Tesla,
especially once you start with these humanoid robots
and really with the integration of Grok
in the Tesla vehicles and the humanoid robot,
it's just going to be even make more sense, right?
Like XAI is not going to just let them,
let Tesla have their software without something.
And so the integration and convergence of the companies, you know,
who knows, maybe it's just one big X corp at some point.
But it really is exciting. So, sorry,
I know I kind of just jumped in on more of your question.
I didn't want to go on a rant if you guys hit stuff for the past 35

And, you know, we say Elon and we talk about Elon and we love Elon.

the envelope. They're tackling these difficult problems. And you're absolutely right. It doesn't
happen overnight, but it doesn't happen at all. If you don't get these teams together. The people that are working at XAI in Memphis, in Mississippi, across the border, the people that are working at SpaceX, these are people that are working at their limits.
They're putting in the hours and they're using everything they've learned to make these products and make these things happen for us.

And so this is what Elon does.
This is what his teams do.
And you get to see this a little bit behind the scenes here on X.
You know, this is the everything app.
X is owned by XAI and XAI is a part of SpaceX.

I love that, that I don't have to try to flip on the TV
or go to YouTube or find an individual news app.
I can just go to the number one news app
and I can get all the details on the companies
and the team members and what they're
doing. That's really cool. XAI, you talked about that, and Grok. I got Grok in the car. Are you
guys using Grok in the Tesla? It's amazing. I jump in, I hit the button, I say, hey, what's
happening? You can pick the voices. It's like that. You can pick the voices, the personalities. The assistant can say, hey, I want to go to Walgreens. Then I got to go over to the rec center. I got to pick up my friend. He's downtown at the Hamburger Joint. And boom, boom, boom. It pops that into your car. You push that rectangular button that says start self-driving. And it backs out of my driveway. It gets out on the road. It
makes the lane changes. And this is the kind of thing that's cool from XAI to integrate with Tesla,
which is Grok. And Grok is now rolling out in Great Britain, in England, in parts of Europe.
And so people are getting to see how those synergies that you talked about,
there's a little corporate buzzword, you know, how these things work together to make for better
products and services. So I love all the team members. You know, Elon is amazing. And he's the
place that he's the guy that's built the house that we can live in and develop this stuff that people are letting go. Penny talked about the
shuttle program. It was amazing, but it was billions and billions and billions of dollars to
launch and then throw away a lot of that technology, not be able to use it readily.
Thanks for bringing up all that cool stuff. Anytime you're ready, maybe not today, in the future, tell us about X Takeover. I want to get that on my books and come out there and hang with you.
to be delayed. But we're still working through confirmations right now. This one's, you know,
just given some of the approvals. That's the main reason why we are waiting to announce anything.
But I will say it's probably not going to be happening in July.

and not following and checking out to see what's going on over there, highly recommend that you check out all the people that are on this stage. They're doing some really amazing things, putting out some great content, not just about Tesla, but just in general and really cool people to connect with.
very interesting about what you said. Of course, well, Financial is a financial company and we
like to cover these things. But from an investment standpoint, Tesla as a company, one thing that
investors should really be excited about, it used to be a great meme of how delayed everything was,
every timeline that Elon gave, you're at least double that, if not triple that.
But of late, it seems like they're shipping things really fast. I think they're amazing people.
And that meme, I could not tell the last time I've seen it.
But they're moving so fast.
It's actually breathtaking.
It really is just amazing to see at the pace of which Optimus, how these cars, self-driving
robo-taxis, space, everything is just moving so fast right now that it's like that meme died.
Any thoughts on that? Just how quickly they're moving within the last year or so. We have about
12, 15 minutes left in this space. But yeah, just some thoughts on the space,
the speed at which these companies are moving. I would love to hear that. Penny,
anything on that? And we kind of go around and anyone want to jump in on that, feel free to. Well, I think John mentioned earlier that it took
longer than we thought to get FSD to that version 14. A lot of us were looking at the technology in
the first couple of years it was getting developed and telling our friends, you know, it's right
around the corner. It's right here. And every year we got that same story of we're going
to get unsupervised this year. It's going to be this year. It's going to be this year. But the
thing is that time is behind us. It is here now. People are taking cross country unsupervised
drives. I mean, technically they're supervising, but they're not touching anything. So effectively
they could have not been supervising and it would have been okay. So we are in the time now where they're rolling out robo taxis in Austin already with no driver in them.
Like the time is now.
So do I think that we're beyond ever having overly optimistic timelines?
No, I don't think we're beyond that.
I think we'll continue to have optimistic timelines for our flights to Mars, for our optimists,
different milestones in building and deploying those.
I think that that's just really part of the Elon way, right?
If you don't push extra, extra hard, if you don't try to do things faster than people think
are possible, then you're not going to be the first to do them.
And you may not ever get them done at all.
So I don't have any problem with optimistic timelines and missing them occasionally. The meme that, you know, that
takes something impossible and turn it into something late. I think it's a great meme. I think,
you know, probably if you miss enough timelines, you get better at knowing yourself how to create
them. But I think despite that, I don't think that it's that Elon doesn't know how to create them. But I think despite that, I don't think that Elon doesn't know
how to create an accurate timeline.

and create things that shouldn't be available yet.
Create them now, not 20 years into the future.
And I think the only way you do that
is by sort of having these really optimistic timelines
and pushing people harder than they think is possible.
So, you know, I don't even really look at it like a negative meme.
I almost look at it like an endearing thing.
Like, hey, at least we're trying, right?
These are the things that no one thinks are possible.
Like, who thought that rockets could land themselves and be reusable?
No one did.

often think too much about whether or not timelines get missed, just the momentum. Like,
is Tesla still hiring the very best engineers in the world? Yep. Do they still have the most
ambitious projects? Yep. Are they still delivering on those? Yep. Okay. That's what I need to know.
That's why I'm invested in
Tesla. That's why I show up for these spaces every week and get excited and, you know, do whatever I
can to support Elon and the crew at all of his different companies, you know, as they push
towards their missions. Penny, isn't it funny? I mean, we love to get excited and we do get excited. And maybe we're optimistic.
Maybe we're forward looking. But, you know, we're really in it. And we're like reading all this stuff every day.
We're talking to all the people that are down there listening to us right now.
And they've got all these ideas and things about what's happening.
And I just love being in that group that is pushing hard, that is pushing forward.
I mean, we could all just sit around and bitch about our jobs and how things are not the
way we want, or we can look forward and try to help make it happen.
And that's why I invest in Tesla as a stock, is because I love what they're doing in the
automotive, the energy business for Tesla.
You know, we don't talk about that every week.
But man, that is the silent growth of TSLA.
They're building these mega packs and these mega blocks, and they're shipping them all
over the world.
And at a little over $2 million a pop, they've got a waiting list that you can't see the end of
because these companies, these data centers,
these countries around the world,
hell, the continent of Australia
is damn near powered by Tesla Megapacks right now.
You know how big that continent is.
You know how spread out everything is.
So they got all this solar.
They've got all these other sources of energy. Pick your energy source. It doesn't matter. You
can pump it into a mega pack and make that grid just consistent and smooth and cheap. So that's
why I like looking towards the future. You're absolutely right. I love that. Warren sells shirts that says,
making the impossible late.
Isn't that funny when you get, yeah, late.
I'm sorry it's late.
Well, I was, you know, these things do happen.
They don't happen every decade.
They're rare, but they do happen.
It's like, you know, can you imagine the Wright brothers?
They got this thing, it's basically a kite that they got an engine on
and they get the thing to fly and they get really excited. And they say, you know, everybody's going
to be flying. We're going to fly all over the world. We're going to fly across the oceans.
And they're hyping it up. And can you imagine 1903? It's not 10 years later. It's more than
that. Year after year, they're, oh yeah, flight. It's going to be great. It's going 10 years later. It's more than that. Year after year, they're, oh yeah, flight,
it's gonna be great, it's gonna be great.
It's like 11 years later
before they actually build one that can carry people around.
And so that's where we are right now in my mind
is we're in that 11 years.
We know it can be done.
We know the guys to do it, the teams to do it,
the companies to do it,
and we invest in them to help them get there.
And we're going to get to that year 11, just like we are with FSD.
Just like I know that there's not going to be any issues between my garage and the parking space at the hospital or wherever I'm going, it's going to get us there.
We're so close to year 11,
just like the Wright brothers were 100 years ago. You know, one thing on that that I would like to
add, which is crazy, every time I hear this stat, it kind of blows my mind. You know, the time from
that first flight in Kitty Hawk all the way till Apollo 11, it's only 65 years. That is one
lifetime, right? So someone could actually live long enough to see that
progression. So just imagine 65 years from now, what this world is going to look like. It's
absolutely crazy. Kind of blows my mind. Have you ever noticed that, Kristen? I know it's been a
little while since I heard you on the mic, but that's just a crazy thing. 65 years to see how
far technology can go. That just blows my mind every time.
Oh, yeah. I've seen it. And you can look at the vertical climb of technology. People are like,
oh, people aren't innovating enough. The US and a lot that we do is already at the ceiling. There's
only so much. AI is taking over now and it's just like a full speed rocket straight up.
But it is exciting. And I like Elon's timelines and and people. I mean, I stated that long time ago, Elon may be late, but he always delivers. Elon makes a goal higher than the goal he wants to
hit. It's like he's shooting an arrow. He makes, he makes, he makes the target higher because he
knows that he'll hit the target. And you know what? I think Elon, because he's so efficient
when he makes these, it's almost as if, if he had a bunch of Elons working for himself. Yes, he would probably hit those targets even higher, but he has people that,
I mean, I know it kind of sounds derogatory. Like Elon just can, his ability to work and do what he
does. A lot of people just can't keep the grit with him and keep the pace. So it's amazing that
he makes these targets. And also with SpaceX and Tesla, we can't forget like a lot of companies during COVID were just trying to stay afloat.
And even Tesla and SpaceX with the suppliers, they and they had things vertically integrated in different ways.
Like people were just trying to keep afloat.
So some of those deadlines were pushed back, but as were many from many industries across the world.
So I think they're doing great and they're right on track and we're just moving forward.
And it's exciting to see where the future is going to be.
And finally, getting over those hurdles where we'll hopefully never dial back again being in space, but we'll be there permanently.

I'd love to hear what he's got on his mind today talking about tesla yeah i was just about to pass to him so yeah i really appreciate
that smokey how you doing hey what's up lando hopefully you guys can hear me all right i was
in like basically a faraday cage earlier so uh i couldn't really talk but um you were talking
about the 60 years between the flight and the moon and launching into space. The difference now is that we've got actual exponential possibilities
where they didn't exist before.
We went to the moon on a damn TI-83 calculator, for God's sake.
That's impressive.
Now we've got technology that is literally compounding itself
into exponential just future.
It's amazing.
So everything that used to take us 50 years is now going to take us a year. It's wild what's coming. I'm ready for it.
Hey, what is this term? We got to look this up together because I need to be educated.
Elon says that Optimus has the potential of being the first. I think the phrase is von Neumann machine.
So I assume that's named after somebody. I assume that he's German. He's probably a rocket guy.
You know, that's just what it sounds like there. But what he means by that is that Optimus can
build Optimus at some point, some point soon. So if you get the right setup and you get the right machines up there,
eventually five years, we could be going to Mars
with the technology that we've perfected on the moon,
that we've learned.
We can start sending starships and Optimi and say,
hey, get it ready for us.
We're not going to send people there to die
just because they're setting up our first tents, right?
Let's get Optimist to do the most dangerous things,
the most repetitive things,
the things that you don't even want people to be doing.
And I think the great one is to send them out to a rock that's a million miles away
and set up the base for us before we get there. So is that Von Neumann machine? We're all learning
together. And Elon makes that excitement. He helps me learn new stuff every week. And that's pretty
cool. Yeah, really interesting stuff there. I had to look it up. So those of you that didn't exactly know the Von Neumann machine, that comes from John Von Neumann, from going from ti whatever it was the texas
instrument uh number that he just uh mentioned there smoky to reprogrammable computers uh it's
it's a huge jump and yes i 100 agree exponential growth i really excited to see where things go
in my lifetime i will be old enough to really see the exponential growth and all this amazing stuff

But my buddy over there that tells me all the, oh yeah, I got that. Oh yeah. My other friend says,
oh yeah, I got that. No, you don't. You can't get into your car and talk to AI and tell it the six
places you're going and have it line them up and pop them into your navigation and take you there.

You're not doing anything. And you can have that right now this month for 99 bucks. And the robo
taxi, it's expanding and it's slow. And I love that it's slow because they're doing this right.
They're getting the data. If there's seven cyber cabs in Austin right now that don't have anybody in it that are
learning the ropes, that are proving the safety that we know is there, that is going to go
exponential.
But I applaud the team for not pushing too hard, for not saying, all right, well, it's
for not saying, all right, well, it's pretty close.

For two years ago, when we loved our hardware three version 12,
and it's pretty good, nope, they didn't throw the robo taxis out there.
They didn't throw the cyber cabs out there.
They're waiting until it's mature.
And that's what I love about this software.
I know what it's going to do.
I know when it's going to do it, and it's better
than I am. And I love to drive. I love my tri-motor Cybertruck. You can push down that go pedal,
and there's nothing like that feeling. You can use the steer-by-wire to rip through the curves.
And then when you're done with your adrenaline, you hit that button again, and it'll drive you through
gridlock to get you home safely. RoboTaxi's coming up fast. We got 10, 12, 15 cities that are starting
and testing, starting and permitting. It's happening. That S-curve is going exponential,
like you like to say, very soon. Here we go. I want to piggyback on that like to drive
thing, Landon, because I get that feedback all the time. It's like, oh, I want to drive. Like,
I like to drive. Like, listen, the only sport that I pay attention to is Formula One and MotoGP.
I'm a driver. I'm a racer. I love that stuff, right? I love driving. But I do not love traffic.
I do not love parking lots.
I do not love, you know, spending hours and hours doing boring drives
when I could be doing something productive.
So every time someone tells me, like my dad even tells me,
he's like, I like to drive.
Listen, dad, I'm your son, okay?
I like to drive too.
You just wait until you can get all the way
to Vegas. And all you had to do was take a nap and you're there. You didn't have to deal with
airports. Like these people are, they can't see past their nose right now. If they think that
they're going to want to drive all the time. It's not that you'll never want to drive. Sure. Maybe
you're not going to be one of the people that doesn't own a car. Sure, maybe you do want your own car and maybe sometimes even you want to drive it.
But are you really going to want to pay $50,000 for a car that can't drive itself when your
neighbors can? Are you really going to want like an antiquated piece of technology that can't do
what the modern technology can't? That's just not going to happen. People are going to quickly come around to the fact that there is so much value in a free ride where you don't need to
pay attention. That's just absolutely crazy. People aren't really processing how it's going
to change their lives. But it's like the cell phone. Everything is going to change.

model y so they got the latest
update as it shipped the other night they got the Model Y on the 13th Friday you know they could
have got it the 14th on Valentine's but they're super excited you know as my mom drives in the
evenings she gets her eyesight isn't always the best and so this makes her feel more secure when
she drives with FSD they got the full package package. They're super excited. So, you know, it's fun as I've been talking about Tesla for like well over half a decade
with my family.
And they're finally, you know, some of my brother got a Model Y last year and my parents
have one now.
So it's exciting to see, you know, the adoption and not just because I love it, because I
do believe they're the safest cars out there.
And I do believe they're the future moving forward.
And I'm excited to see people not only who just don't enjoy driving at night because, you know, they feel skittish about
it, but people who literally don't have the eyesight to drive to be able to use Teslas going
forward. So I'm excited. I think it's great. And yeah. As one who absolutely hates driving at night,
I take off my glasses and pray that no one has their bright lights coming with a dirty windscreen
on my side.
So, yeah, I can totally relate to that.

with Kristen on a lot of that, but I think
the bigger issue is not only people
that don't want to drive or can't drive at night,
but the people who physically

I will say that not only does my sister have the ability to drive,
she has her license, she's young, she has all of her faculties, but she absolutely hates driving.
She is someone that had to renew her permit, no joke, five times before she went for her road
test, not because she couldn't drive, but she just was not motivated to do so. So she would
absolutely love to have a Tesla driving herself around.
And just because this is just amazing tech
and she would be one of the first people
to get that FSD once it comes to Jamaica.
