There have never been a billion trees planted in one day in the history of humanity.
But we are going to do it, you know, know, and even more important than that is what that leads
to, right? The transformation when that happens, when everyone knows that's even possible to do,
there will be many more billion tree days. Just like the four-minute mile,
everyone thought it was impossible
until Roger Bannister did it.
And tens of thousands of people did it since then.
It was in 1954.
Dozens the same year because of belief.
Belief will take you really far.
If you have an unwavering faith that I can do this,
it will take you really far.
And I know what's possible having already
partnered with Ethiopia and united 29 million people and getting 714 million trees in one day,
one country. Now we have 12. I know this is possible. And so we are going to make it happen.
But we are definitely not going to succeed if we start kicking up our feet and stop showing up and
stop grinding and stop putting in the work and just thinking we
got this in the bag done deal no challenges are definitely to come to be expected there will be
massive challenges that we're going to have to overcome and uh we're going to do that through
grow laboration we're going to do that through you know all working together in some way, right? One big mission to make history
with a billion trees. And by the way, people are going to see the impact because we have,
as a part of Proof of Tree Protocol, videos of every single tree before it's planted, the land,
and then after it's planted with GPS for every video automatically taken as you film within the app, right? Because you can't
just upload. Nowadays with AI, you can make anything. You can find any video. That is not
proof. But filming within the app, even if you don't have internet, it will save video and upload
when you do. That was a crucial feature that we built into this proof of tree protocol.
And when everyone sees that because
remember seeing is believing for most people unless you have a really strong vision right
then you see it in your mind's eye but when people actually see it all the proof and then
Guinness hopefully can verify it remember they closed the category of multiple location world
records how many trees can be planted in a day they limited to one specific location with a maximum of 2 million trees which is a joke
considering that Ethiopia at 714 million you know but for the first time they're
actually considering opening up that category for multiple locations purely
because of what we've developed at Tregen's. The Proof of Tree Protocol is the reason
Guinness World Records is reopening that category.
They closed it because of the verification challenges.
We've solved the verification challenges.
And we're about to solve it at scale.
And when we do that, and we also have
not just a bunch of people philanthropically planting trees
buying these tree tokens, but we also have the carbon markets. We're also tapping into a $950 billion per year industry, and we're leveraging those
funds to do buybacks, to add to the value of these tree token rewards so that wherever you
are in the world, you can not only plant trees and earn something, but hopefully earn enough
to be really good, to do well for yourself. I want people to do well and
do good at the same time. You know, it breaks my heart when people in the positive impact space
are broke and struggling and going through all these different challenges. It really does. And
the human factor is so, so important. I mean, I believe deforestation wouldn't exist if there
was abundance for all, right? Like it's a scarcity thing, right?
It's like, oh, I can, even if it's illegal, destroy this natural ecosystem because I know that I will
get a buck. But what if, and bear with me here, you guys, what if through decentralized technologies
and reward mechanisms and reprogramming our valuables, we can actually make the trees more valuable to everyone around them
while they're standing.
While they're still standing tall.
More valuable.
How do we do that?
Well, only one-sixth of the tree tokens are released for the initial planting.
One-sixth. Then an additional one-sixth every six tree tokens are released for the initial planting one-sixth then an
additional one six every six months over the course of three years so that's one incentive
then we're growing an impact funds with our carbon Ford flywheel yes we're multiplying the
trees repeatedly but we're also voting on different impact investments whether that's
micro financing loans or if it's equity or if it's token based we're gonna be doing some impact investments as a dow that's
in a roadmap unofficially but that's clear like that's a clear mission of
this because what I've done you know well before I launched a token well
before I launched an nft for multiple years I was on the ground in Kenya
planting these trees working with tree planters, working with CBOs,
understanding the challenges around verification, understanding the challenges that these communities were facing on the ground.
And one of the things that actually was beautiful is the entrepreneurial spirit around the mangroves.
So people were getting into beekeeping, people were getting into ecotourism, people were getting into
beautiful, you know, restaurants from the bounty of wildlife that was flourishing around the
mangrove trees like crabs and fish, etc. And, you know, those businesses were not only with a lot of potential, but actually scalable to the point where it could
completely transform how the community see these trees such that they are more valuable standing.
Let me tell you what I mean. For example, you imagine we have a community-based organization,
right? They live in and amongst the mangrove trees and they have some beekeeping. Now, right now it's a dinghy roof that's falling apart and some
small beehives. But imagine they scale this to the point where they're selling to the organic
honey market internationally and they're really able to take those funds and put that back into the communities,
right? And they know that it's the mangrove trees that actually made that honey so special.
Now, look, I'm not the only one because obviously I'm biased. At least five, six, seven people
have tried this mangrove honey, which is like dark in color and it's rich in antioxidants.
And it's obviously organic because it comes from the mangroves it's objectively the most delicious honey you've ever tried objectively it's freaking
delicious dude i'm telling you and it's or and it's also healthy in those other ways because
of antioxidants and it has a lot of potential and my family's in the organic food industry and so
we're helping that but imagine some microfinancing there, right? And then the community is flourishing and they know that the trees are the reason
for the business success that exists. That is how you conserve nature, right? It's not hiring
some guy with a gun who can be bribed off at the next highest bidder, right? It's actually changing the fundamental economics of the forest.
Because there is far more benefit with a forest that is alive than a forest that is dead. That
is already a fact. The problem is they're externalities. They're not captured in the market yet.
But what we can do with cryptocurrency is program our values into what we value.
And that will fundamentally change that.
And that's the reason why deforestation is currently more than regeneration.
Even though it's decreasing, that's the hope.
Deforestation is decreasing significantly. Ozone layers are healing. There is some good news to this. Despite other ecosystems collapsing and getting set on fire every few years,
there is some hope to it. And I think all of you guys also give me hope too I mean everyone
who's showing up and you know grinding and a lot of people like like Deneo
