for this planet, right? When people realize that it is actually possible to cross the billion tree
day, the world will never be the same because many such countries, many such organizations that are
participating in the carbon markets will be super gung-ho on making it happen because they know that
it is possible. It is absolutely possible to get one billion trees planted just in one country in Nigeria, right? Nigeria has more than
double the population of Ethiopia and they have more mangrove trees than any other African nation,
all right? Yet, you know, yet 714 million was done in Ethiopia and now we have 12 countries
which have committed to doing countrywide tree planting days.
And so we have to make this happen.

I mean, a guy called John Kawagumba, an incredible Kenyan man who was there with me for the full
24 hours of tree planting on both the second and the third attempt before I became the
Guinness World Record holder. This man had a huge smile on his face practically the entire time, just great attitude. He's an absolute legend. And while a lot of people
like obviously took rest, he was literally there the entire time on both occasions pretty much.
And he's an absolutely go to true gen. And this man, John Kawagumba, he's a small farmer in western Kenya.
And he was messaging me for a long time while I was doing clean water projects.
And he was explaining how that basically the droughts had severely affected his ability to get water to his crops.
And he had to travel for a much further and further distance
each year. And he was asking for help and he was explaining the situation and he was documenting
everything. And that's where it really clicked for me that, you know, the climate crisis does
have so many different levels of impact. You know, we think about biodiversity loss and extinction,
these massive forest fires and all these extreme cases right but it's also an everyday reality for different people that are affected by this stuff and um and and that's uh
that's i believe one of the reasons why he was particularly motivated uh throughout the the
guinness world record attempts and and why he's such an incredible tree gen is he also sees that
connection as well and uh and he's a great grower so um so let's grow yeah yeah sorry i was a little bit nervous
