One, there are only specific regions of planet Earth that mangroves grow,
which is around the tropics, right?
And they have to grow in a very specific ecosystem but
what they do is they build and support their own natural ecosystem as far as plant life are you

why mangroves are so important so they create their own natural ecosystem around them.
So whether it's fish life, whether it's ocean, not necessarily ocean life, but like water life, like land life, right?
They support the entire ecosystem.
They are also one of the highest carbon sequesters on planet Earth.

around these very tropical regions. Also, they are a natural desalinator, meaning they can survive
in brackish water, which is the combined effects of saltwater and freshwater, and they can take saltwater and turn it into freshwater, which is an amazing
natural mechanism that man is trying to perfect for the last, I don't know, four decades. And
I don't know how effective it is to these days, but I can say it's probably not as effective as

largest mangrove forest in Africa. The estimates vary, but it is more than 1 million hectares,

Africa's share of global mangroves is about 20% Nigeria holding the majority and, um, yeah,
often a third or fourth of Indonesia's in Brazil. So just for kind of, uh, but yeah,

put these like rings around the oil drilling things to help contain.
When there's a spill, it always rises to the top and you can at least contain it that way.
But ultimately, man, we need people to see these trees as more valuable alive than dead.
We have to stack as many reward mechanisms as possible, make the $950 billion a year industry of carbon markets fully available to people who are restoring, conserving, and protecting these plants, these trees.
But in addition to that, all of the businesses that thrive around the mangroves, right, like
ecotourism and, you know, like I have the most delicious honey in my life, which came
directly from the mangroves.
It's like dark in color.
It has all these antioxidants, which are, you know, super healthy. And obviously it's organic because it comes from the natural
forest. And so like supporting businesses like that, whether if it's through our own Dow treasury
or if it's through, you know, we're also part of Impact Launchpad and Supercarbon Capital,
and they're managing a billion dollar fund. And so we want to do
microfinancing or impact investment in support of all these businesses that depend on the mangroves.
That's what's going to stack as many of the reward mechanism for people to ultimately
change the way that they perceive these trees as more valuable alive than dead. And that's
our approach to conservation. You know, in some parts of the world, you can like tie yourself to a tree and go live up there. And that's going to prevent the
deforestation. But in other parts of the world, bro, they'll just shoot you at the tree,
you know, and that's like, that's just happening all the time in like Brazil and stuff. And so,
so like, that kind of activism isn't always effective. But, but economics is always effective.
You know, if we can change the economics of these ecosystems,
if we can enhance the tree economy
to such a massive extent,
you know, the tree,
the carbon market alone
is forecast to reach 1.6 trillion by 2028.
That's in a couple years, guys.
Like we're almost 2026 already
and it's growing rapidly.
And that's just the carbon markets, right?
Biodiversity is also
becoming a big market, let alone the philanthropic angle of tree planting. We're tapping into all of
those. As a matter of fact, there's something called the ecological benefits framework where
they measure the impact on six different dimensions. Yes, it's carbon. Yes, it's biodiversity.
But how are you impacting the soil? How are you impacting the air? How are you impacting the water?
How are you impacting the people, right? you impacting the water? How are you impacting
the people, right? Like if you can measure all six of those different dimensions of impact,
those six dimensions can then be monetized and rewarded and people can pay for that and claim
that impact. And therefore those funds can flow to more of that impact, right? So that is what we
are accentuating and supporting and enhancing by measuring all six
dimensions that like we're we're in touch with the founder of the ecological benefits framework
and we definitely plan to leverage that to the fullest of its capabilities such that we can
ultimately create this world where anyone can plant trees earn a living and also
incentivize the protection of these beautiful ecosystems all right right. Charles did a very nice one.
