a thing that you'll need to do
because otherwise nobody gets a notification
for it being started,

There's like,
it doesn't seem to be the case
that there's like any fix coming for spaces
anytime soon
because problems haven't exactly been,

the problems have been increasing as opposed to being decreasing right that's the thing you know and then of
course you know we have like the the primary function the primary like focus at x right now
seems to be like figuring out how to handle the money problem right so it's like hey we got
monetization this monetization that by the way i will i will say this straight up
and it's true because to say otherwise would be deceptive and disingenuous the monetization is
a joke monetization is a joke um i have long since accepted based on the nature of the algorithm at
the moment and how it is kind of currently being set up because it's very chaotic,
that posting here
and expecting monetary
gains has kind of
gone to zero. I've accepted
this and I say, okay, we're doing this for the love of the game.
Even Spaces, I've done this for the love of the game.
I like it, I enjoy it.
But I've already
accepted this, but there's no
reason not to call it out, is to say that the monetization is in fact a joke.
The only thing right now that's actually bringing in any kind of reliable source of revenue from X directly are the $1 subscribers that we have here.
Of which basically you get a fraction of a fraction, basically.
That's what it is, because you get whatever the $1 is, you have like a lot of people that subscribe via say your iPhones or something
like that so you have like percentage shaven like a percentage gets shaved off of that then you get
a percentage that's that's getting like shaved off of that percentage which is in taxes so you
get like thoroughly raped and then you get your pay which means that approximately you get like
it's it's it's little, it's so little that
basically it doesn't make any sense. You could just like, you know, do, you know, I was doing
like, one of the reasons why I started the Discord server, did the advanced members thing is because
I knew that that would be a scalable model, because I used to do like these calls, and they would be
like $100 each, you I personally will customize call.
It's basically like a consultancy thing,
which is also why I started a consultancy company.
It made more sense to actually do that because the time spend of,
say, let's calculate how much time does it take for you to find
and make content and post it to the platform.
You take however much that is in hours and you say,
if you can make $100 an hour,
and if you were to do this every single week,
every single week being approximately
like eight or so hours or more,
and at some point I was spending like 52 hours
a week on this app.
So if you're spending 52 hours a week on the app,
you should be making $5,200 something
if that's the amount of energy and attention
that you give to the app.
Well, at the time,
I was making like two.
So I was like, okay, it's like, you know, it's okay.
It's kind of like, okay, you know, you're making like two, but every two weeks.
So it was like, you're basically making 1k, whereas you could have made like 5k
if you were to take that and do actual work.
All right, so already the monetization, it was like, okay, cool.
If you're like a content creator, maybe it's like, yeah, that's a standard you have to accept.
Because it's still decent. It's still decent.
Now, however, because the algorithm is absolute horse shit,
I'm not going to sugarcoat it at all.
The actual monetization of the thing is just,
there is no real hope for it.
I think you have to basically borderline post engagement farms
of a very political nature.
So unless you're like American,
you post about some irrelevant political horse shit that basically know it was basically requires you to sell your soul you
won't be making much of anything and as a matter of fact you know based on the
amount of impressions that I'm getting and the things that I'm talking about
that like last payout was like 200 bucks bro that's fucking stupid like you can
make like 200 bucks by sneezing
in the right direction by accident bro
that's crazy isn't it
so again the whole monetization thing is a fucking joke

way to hold to kind of like, you know, make ends meet. But like, realistically speaking,
you kind of like rely on that because every time it's like, dude, hey, one month we have this
structure. Another month we have this structure.
Another month we have that structure.

and you know you just do it for the love of the game again that's that's the whole thing
so i don't really care if that kind of goes away, because like the problem
is with a lot of these accounts that they're trying to like defeat with this, these people
just post for the money and they just post for the engagement, right? And so the problem is a lot of
the stuff that they post has no inherent value. This is why also when they don't have a real
personality, this is why they would like join, say, one of their newsletters or one of their servers
or whatever, they do have do happen to have one.
Because they genuinely are just like dim people.
And who the fuck wants to listen to that?
Who wants to listen to somebody who is like not abstract at all?
That's the whole point.
Like a lot of people can't go into spaces, for instance, because they just simply have zero personality.
There's some sort of like fucking drone.
It's like all, and there's a lot of those accounts, actually, most of the accounts, especially the big ones.
They have like zero personality, man.
You look at like some of them, they have like their shtick, you know, like their shtick accounts, you know.
You have like one that pretends to be autistic, even though everybody knows that he's not.

Goes on his face, he's probably going to have like some really strange accent that nobody can quite identify,
because he's probably like, you know, from a place that he says he's not from, even though he is.

So if these people were to say, hey, go and
go to this place over here, they're not
going to have much success in this because who the fuck are they?

But they do get a ton of engagement
and they may be able to like, you know,
set their location in such a way
that they can get what they need. And, and you know maybe they'll make ends meet with
this of course it's a complete waste of time in my opinion because it's like ridiculous to just
farm like that and also kind of like you know soul crushing is one of the better ways to describe it
and then you get like uh you get like the politics engagement farmers that pretend to be people
they're not like you know you have accounts, basically, like the fake parody accounts, as I call them, because they have like
the, like if you have, you have, you have, you have parody and commentary now, right? So you have
some people who like basically impersonate someone, but they put parody or commentary under their
shit. And then all of a sudden, it's fine. It's like, oh, this shit again. And you have like some
like uneducated boomers, just like, you know, clicking like button on whatever bullshit that they put out about Trumpets.
It's kind of funny. So you have that, and that's also not going to go anywhere. I mean, that's going to decrease possibly, because they'll have to do something about that, because these guys are taking a sizable fare.
And that's like diluting everything and making it so that a lot of other people do not get their payout.
I mean, remember when they shut down, the orbital nuked the fucking botnets
back in the day,
the payout actually went up quite a fair bit
because they were extracting that much revenue.
It was really bad.
It was all inorganic nonsense.

it was a nice temporary fix.
Personally, I think here's what they should do.

Like I saw maybe one or two fucking engagement farming posts using the app for like 52 hours like a day and i was seeing hundreds of
posts so there was like you know it wasn't exactly an issue sure it's an issue there's a whole bunch
of engagement on it but who gives the fuck honestly like if there's a whole bunch of idiots that are
willing to engage with this let them be the ai trainer who gives a fuck seriously like it's not
like it's your time is it you know i'm sure it may dilute the revenue a little bit which is the other
end of the end of the issue.
So if you have issues on both those fronts,
you can't exactly solve those unless you train a certain way,
which they seem to be going this route now.

aggregator you're not a real thing you are fake and you're shit and that's not a thing you don't
have a personality and have a show you don't have this you don't have a personality. You don't have a show. You don't have this. You don't have that, right? So I think, like, in general,
the most productive of people
will have the opportunity to monetize themselves
outside of whatever system here is.
And I've already done that.

and a lot of people tried to stop me,

the fact that they were the product the only problem

exists as like as a thing that can be used for free mind you and then they complain about being
a product it's like what are you talking about man about, man? Like, there's a reason why it's for free.
And, you know, you're exchanging with your time.
You're like, you're just shifting around pieces of content.
You may not have much traction.
And then one day, you know, if you are mimetic enough, you will just like kind of leave behind
an impression.
You'll like gain a whole bunch of attention.
And then that's you.
Now you're the product at a different level.
It's just a different premium of product,
realistically speaking.
And so I think a lot of people need to understand that if you're trying to go to another level,
you're either a product as a consumer,
as in it is the job of the product
that is the producer or the supplier
to make things that the consumer wants.
You either accept that you are the consumer,
which is fine, by the way.
There's nothing wrong with being a consumer.
Consumption is great.
It's just that, you know, moderation, obviously,
but, like, consumption is actually kind of good.
It always needs to be a customer for something,
especially something that's necessary
and actually productive.
And then you have the actual people who make things,
you know, and that's a product, too.
So they're just products at different levels.
At one point in time, you could be like just a consumer until you
eventually figure out how to be a producer of your own vibe. And you basically supply
that as a way to, you know, basically satisfy consumers, potential consumers, get more consumers
even. Right. So that's totally fine. Like there's nothing wrong with being a product when you look at it that way. Of course, you know, you still get farmed.
If you like, say, do Windows, you have to like turn off a whole bunch of features and shit. And
it's like, this is the level of you are the product that I don't like. You know, it's like
you're already paying for this fucking shit OS as it is, right? If you're already paying for the

when someone's already willing to pay for a service,
that impression, that product right there,
that person is infinitely more valuable
than a person who pays nothing.
Because this is like someone who's already willing,
like they've already crossed a certain line.
So like they are already willing to pay money for this.
Then it means they could also pay money for other things, right?
And that's like a really important thing
that people need to like think about.
It's like, yes, this is why paying customers
on say a social media platform
to put ads in front of them
actually makes a lot more sense,
but they pay to get rid of the ads,
so you can't really do that.
So instead, you just look
at their engagement patterns
and see whether or not
you can use that
to your advantage, right?
Which, by the way,
lots of marketers do.
Like, with these accounts,
like you've seen,
you've seen like something
like Polymarket or Calci,
which is one of the more egregious
of the two when it comes
to this kind of stuff.
They look at engagement patterns
from a different perspective.
They look at it
from the outsider perspective, like top down type shit. And
you'll actually get very far with this. You don't even need to be in the back end of like
an app somewhere. You could just look at things. And if you look at things long enough, and
you actually genuinely recognize the patterns and learn things, then you're going to know
almost as much by looking at this thing from the outside, if you were to observe it from
the inside, like if you would actually work at the place if you were to observe it from the inside like if you
would actually work at the place you know so you'll you'll be able to learn those things and
then take these patterns and then use that to create a good marketing campaign which is why
there's lots of paid partnership accounts on the platform which i will say for as much harm that i
think nikita has done in terms of stability like you know creating instability the thing i really
like was the paid partnership thing because it really showed to everybody
the thing that I was accused of being schizo about, which was the fact that most people
are just fucking paid shills.
I remember saying this, I was like, bro, do you think all of these people talk about AI
because they actually understand what the fuck's going on?

They're just shilling for some fucking rapper.

Because you can kind of see by the verbiage that something's really off.

You have whatever strange name and then just put .ai at the end of it,

So you have tons of paid shows on the platform.
And so I actually liked that that was being exposed.
But honestly, though, that's one of the only things that i like
you know that's there's not that much improvement the chat has kind of improved i guess you know it's nice it's more stable now and you know i don't know why they changed the icon it's a little
confusing when the common thing looks like the the uh the chat icon that's a bit confusing um
but yeah yeah but but like when it comes to things like monetization for instance
that's a joke
I'm not going to lie
also I think of the many things
they possibly are just going to scale X money
at some point, that's going to be a thing
so we're going to see when exactly that's going to be
open to everybody
because that could be cool as well
also other features that I think are being wildly neglected.
So like Spaces, for instance,
one of the most important features on the platform.
I think many of us here can agree
that this is one of the most,
if not the most important feature on the platform.
The thing is, to use an algorithm
to get people together is one thing,
but to get people together based on pure merit is quite another. And that's what Spaces was able to facilitate.
You can have like a guy, for instance, who has like a million followers, he's got like a thousand
listeners, right? Let's take that as an example. And he hosts a space about something. And then
because you know one of the people on that show and they know that you're not full of shit, you
get up on that show and you get to show that you are actually someone who has information that's meritable, information that's useful.
You go onto the stage, you present your stuff, you entertain the audience, you make sure you
respect the host and finish. You will get very far with this. That's exactly how I did it.
My growth on here was almost entirely due to spaces. Because spaces themselves allowed you to break past the
algorithm. If I had relied entirely on the algorithm,
fucking nothing would have happened.
Because it's kind of shit, right? But like to break
past it, that's what spaces were so good for.
Because you could just take, like, it could be at the discretion
of the host, whether or not you'd be led up
to the stage, and then
you'd like talk to those people,
and there you go, you get your opportunity
to become something more.
And that's exactly what I did. And that's exactly what people should do. They should
in advance prepare their thing, make sure they understand what the host is about,
what they want and what they dislike, what their standards are for coming up,
all those things. Educate yourself on the matter. And then come up, you have your thing,
you do the thing, try not to shill
because nobody likes a shill, don't ask anybody to follow you, don't be a fucking little bitch,
right? Stuff like that. And you could go very far. That's why spaces were so good.
Even live streams. Live streams are not as good as spaces. Spaces are way better because you can
join into a space and it's like, it's almost like Clubhouse, right? Because like Clubhouse was super
successful also, but then spaces are more successful because it has more than just the fact
that it's a Spaces thing, right?
Because you have like X,
or back then Twitter was like attached to this,
and you could do so much more.
You could be in the app browsing,
looking for info,
and then putting that info up into the space,
talk about it.
It's like super well integrated,
and that's what was so nice about it.
Unfortunately, however,
it's like completely neglected. And a lot of the people who used to host space that i think
did a very good job at it too or used to even join up they're like employed and they're starting
companies or they're moving on to the next thing because they realized that this shit was not a
scalable thing i knew this as well because i like saw back in 2025 space is starting to decline
quite rapidly, actually.
Like I saw the decline.
I was like, damn, dude, that fucking sucks, man.
That fucking sucks.
That's why I no longer do daily ones, because I don't think it's worth the time.
Because like if you do it, you'll like put all this effort into like all those days.
But what comes out the other end?

So I just do like a recorded session every single week now.

that was good. In particular, I liked the
subs versus monetization.
That makes a lot of sense.
But there were a couple of things that
I don't know, that I think are worth bringing up.
So if you actually have the capacity to write an article that's accurate and can communicate ideas clearly about EUV, there's just almost no point to writing that article.
there's just almost no points right in that article you could just make so much
more money and also like it affects so much more change by just like actually
working in the arena versus influence that was that was my first thought you
know so it's like like like let's say I know a lot about stuffed animals right
because I make stuffed animals like the amount of money that i could make uh you know writing articles even in a perfect environment with subscribers and stuff
like that is just microscopic relative to the amount of money i could make in the arena on
stuffed animals and the same thing goes for semiconductors and just like multiply both of
those numbers by 100 you know what i'm saying's like, ah, the incentive isn't necessarily there
for accurate content.
And I'm not really sure there really ever has been
an incentive for that over the history of time.

success you know let's say you're like you're a quantitative analyst or something you know you say
here's my here's my assessment on this thing right here and it turns out to be 100 accurate and
somebody like said hey i'm gonna like you know bet on this and basically invest in this company
because he spoke of it in this way and then he makes like a 100 return
or something that guy's never gonna fucking forget you even if you're following predictions are all
shit dude that guy's never gonna forget your ass he's gonna like definitely do something to support
you at some point right so i think it's more like an advertisement strategy than anything
but then you need to restructure but then you need to restructure the word subscribe the way subscribers work on acts
because they only those posts only go to subscribers and so then it's not advertising
well no you don't do it well you don't do it to only subscribers you do it to just the public and
then you link your newsletter is how you do it not the you know oh yeah fair fair but then like
basically if it's about advertising, then the monetization happens
off the platform.
So then, arguably, you could be like,
well, we don't need monetization, and we don't need
subscribers. There's no
point to either. You just bang out,
you just make

monetize it through the people

So in other words, the cheaper it is for you to verify whether an AI output is wrong which can verify whether or not the code
can work and it's just like super fast for you to see okay well maybe AI generated I prompted AI to
generate a website and maybe the colors aren't quite right because the website is clearly
functional and you can verify that very fast, either through a human or sometimes even through computer tools.
But if you were trying to verify, and this may sound strange to people, a recipe, whether or not the recipe was good, it's actually extremely difficult to do that.
And so it may seem like AI is good at generating recipes, but it's actually just regurgitating Reddit.
But it's actually just regurgitating Reddit.
And like so AI would actually it'll just it'll advance a lot faster in the world of computer science and generating code than it would ever generating new dishes.
Because there's no way to remove the bad AI generated responses in recipes.
Because there's no cheap easy way to verify whether or not the recipe is

know to me i felt like that's a really good way of thinking about where ai is is headed and it's
