but what has been, like, your top few daps you like to farm for flow points?
Honestly, I've been using kitty punch to farm. It's been like super fun and easy. Um, and,
and BZ obviously. Uh, and then I was doing some top shot stuff just because it's like,
I don't know. It just kind of like makes me have that feels from
back in the day so that was kind of fun but yeah i've just been kind of messing around with with
with kitty punching beasy the most honestly uh just because it's the easiest way to do it and
the fact that with beasy like even if you don't want to keep the pull you you get like the option
to like like to sell it quick or swap it quick rather for like for your cat for cash is pretty cool too so yeah it's cool it's really cool it's fun it's fun in a time when
i was worried that everyone was going to be so geeked out on memes forever and like just
down that path of like pump fun life uh it's nice and it's refreshing and it's fun

to talk about some of the rewards programs great to hear people are using kitty punch love it
um a little less hip than the music uh that that kicked this off so i'll be talking about some
boring stuff uh but hopefully we can keep the uh good vibes wrong oh don't worry about that at all
i am very convinced that you will be able to keep up.
I just tapped into my 2000s playlist this morning. I don't know what got into me.
I was feeling a little chingy vibes. But let's actually talk about Kitty Punch for a second.
I don't know if the BZ community was truly introduced just yet. Do you mind kind of
jumping right into what you guys are doing? Yeah, for sure. So essentially, Kitty Punch is the primary DeFi railings for the Flow EVM ecosystem.
So you can think of it as kind of the primary trading infrastructure as well as the primary yield structure.
And that's through our farms as well as our new product, which is kind of soft launches our vaulting system, which
essentially loops strategies on top of farms, as well as other kind of primitives on Flow
EVM and eventually external to Flow where we can capture yield and bring it back to
our home base.
And then we're kind of moving into a number of different verticals.
We have an emerging NFT product and a t5 product
called ford um that's kind of a similar uh d5 take on the nft space um and then uh this week actually
is kind of our next big release called punch vix it's a volatility trading product and so
as you guys probably know trading and and you know know, farming on flow is our volumes are relatively low compared to other EVM chains, other blockchains.
And so we're moving into a new primitive, really looking at the first derivative down from trading volume to introduce a volatility product that allows users to bet essentially on the price movement and not
necessarily the price direction of core assets on Flow. And so that's all built on top of our
Froth token, this meme coin that we launched, a completely community fair launch back in December,
and I've been building a lot of cool things on it. So it's a lot. I won't kind of bog down the
talk today about it,
but that's going live this week. And if you want to do some DGEN shit,
you know, take a look at that.
Very cool. When did Kitty Punch pop off? What's the lore real quick,
if you don't mind.
Yeah, we've been building here since I think last summer, you know,
we, we saw the opportunity to stand up some core DeFi primitives that complement the consumer cent here so that we could really kickstart liquidity,
the underpinning yields that drive the growth of any chain. And so we've been growing ever since,
alongside more and obviously, EZ is doing extremely well. And so we've got these core few products and projects here that are, you know, kind of leading the charge.
And I think we're about to hit another inflection point.
You know, if the world ever settles down and markets stop going down only, I think Flow is going to see some really cool adoption coming up here.

the flow eco uh the last few weeks a lot of energy i see a lot more people claiming and
i see people claiming ipads and all this cool stuff. Who was the mastermind behind some of these like rewards?
That's a really good question.
Who is the mastermind?
I feel like I'm about to sound like an athlete here.
I'd be like, hey, it was really a team effort.
But it really was.
Like Yark was saying, you know, Flow became EVM equivalent.
We launched an EVM environment in September of last year.
And so part of that and thinking about that is like, yeah, how can we reward new apps launching on this EVM environment and on our native cadence environment as well?
Like, and how can we, you know, help those apps acquire new users and reward those users?
Like, imagine, you know, you've seen the apps announce themselves on Twitter,
like, announcing this app,
and we have this one really cool feature,
but we want to do all these other things,
and they're really ambitious,
but maybe there's an in-between time,
and how do you help bridge that gap and that momentum?
We saw an opportunity for us as the foundation,
as the people stewarding the protocol to say,
hey, we can help these new apps, you know, support their new and growing user bases through rewards.
And we wanted to do something different.
You know, I've personally been a part of many on-chain rewards programs, and I really don't think I've seen any that are doing it the way that Flow has done it, in the way that you can go to the reward store.

Like you said, there's MacBooks and AirPods, and there's airdrop rewards boosts,
and there's Pokemon cards and the boo-boos and all this stuff.
And like Dripitz was saying earlier, it's just a ton of fun.
And I feel like that's just so, like, that's so Flow, if that makes sense.
And so it's just been a ton of fun.
And glad to see the communities and apps loving it.

I think there's something I noticed early on, which was how, let's be real.

First of all, we want to onboard more people, not just this bubble of CT, but what brings, you know, the normies?

So I thought that was, I don't know, maybe I'm living under a rock.
I don't see anything like it.
Obviously, it sounds like me and Matt sound like super fangirls over here, but I don't, it doesn't get enough attention.
It's probably why Drip It's is eating up all the damn rewards.
Shout out to Jordan as well. A big BZ power user. She's been eating up those damn flow rewards. Um, drip it's when it comes to using something farming,
you know, I'm sure you've done a few of these different things. What is it? What's one thing
that attracts you? I'm imagining a simplicity. You mentioned that a little bit ago. Yeah, I mean, the fact that, like, gas is, like, ridiculously nothing, and it's so fast, I think.
That's kind of, that's basically where it's at for me.
I mean, look, we've all, a lot of us have been here for a long time.
You know, I've been here for just about four and a half, almost five years.
Some of you guys have been here even a lot longer than that.
And I think we remember what it's like to use slow chains.
And I think I remember what it's like to use expensive chains.
So I think like I've been saying forever, there's always like two sides to crypto, right?
There's like the DGEN stuff that everyone goes gaga over.

And then there's going to be like the mainstream adoption stuff.

And in my humble opinion, from what I've seen, it seems to me it makes more sense
that Flow is going to be the thing that's going to be more mainstream adoption,
that's going to get more stuff that's built out,
that's going to benefit, like, people as a whole,
not just, like, the crypto community.
But, you know, I know that we have stuff going on on Flow already with Ticketmaster,
obviously with NBA Top Shot,
and then obviously with, what's the other thing?
I'm sorry, my brain's a little slow this morning.
I haven't had any coffee.
There's other things that I'm missing that I'm sure of.
Disney Plus with their stuff and everything else.
So what I'm saying is you guys have been secretly building something.
While everybody may not pick up on it right now,
maybe the hype and the FOMO is not right there right this second.
It doesn't matter because the quality of the technology is there.
And over time, that hype and that everything will come back.
It'll be here.
And once everything is to the point where we do see that more like mass adoption type deal,
this is obviously going to be the chain that's going to be in front winning because of everything that this chain's done in the past and continues to do with everything that it's building like bz that incorporates stuff like like having
those collectibles like a lot of us were nerds before we came into crypto a lot of us collected
stuff i mean i'm obviously you know not everybody knows i'm an artist i've been an artist for a long
time i worked on comic books i've done all sorts of stuff so i've collected everything under the
sun since i was a kid. So I, you know,
when I saw BZ at first, it was like, I started geek nerding out. I was like, like acting like
a 12 year old boy. It was ridiculous. So what I'm saying is, is that you're more likely to have this
kind of stuff be on this chain because it's so easy because it's so cheap and because it's so
fast and because it offers things that are already recognized by other
major corporations and large businesses that are already incorporating it and using it in
their business. So it's obvious if you're expecting any chain to do anything, as far as it comes to
consumer technology, flow, in my opinion, is the number one. And that's why I'm so excited.
Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble, but I just think that it's funny how people just haven't got there yet.
It's funny to me because it's like, wow, you guys are still over there messing with this stupid nonsense that everyone's just extracting from and you're not actually getting any value out of when you could be using this tech over here that's actually faster and it's better and the vibe over there is better.
Like, what are you guys doing like so you know i think it's just one of those things where smart people are are going to notice and
they're going to be here i mean look two of the smartest people i know in this space profits and
dude lifts are here obviously like like come on you know that's it's so it's just a matter of time
before everyone picks up on it and it moves on so again sorry to ramble but that's just uh my
no that was perfect brother and i really hope i'm not the smartest one you know, brother.

I'm saying some of the smartest people I know in crypto.

Don't, you know, you've got, you guys have put me onto stuff way, way before in the past.

But to us, like, you know, Flo has been succeeding with being the number one built on hackathon at pretty much every ETH Global hackathon for the past year.
That's one of the events that we're doing in NYC is we're doing a happy hour with ETH Global where we're co-hosting.
We're co-hosting. It's just us and them. And that's going to be kind of a celebration of, you know, of the past year of, you know, builders really becoming reintroduced to flow through our EVM environment and now on our native cadence environment again.
It's just us and them.
We, there was a, sorry to keep rambling here, but at Eats Denver, one of the finalists for the whole hackathon built a cadence app, which is really funny.
For those who don't know, that's really funny that they built in cadence, not solidity.
But New York.
So, yeah, New York.
So, Dapper Labs, one of the most prolific builders on Flow.
They have apps like NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day, Disney Pinnacle.
They're going to be at Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center in NYC, right before NFD NYC.
And that, like, Fanatics Fest, for those those who know is like the place for sports. Right.
And so, yeah, pretty much, uh, what a lot of people may not realize as well is that at any
kind of sports conference now, especially collectibles focused ones, there there's a
digital collectibles like track or panels or things like this is a thing now this is happening
like in, in Dapper sports and NBA top shot NFL all day, they're at the forefront of that so they're going to be there um so we'll have you know some people from dapper there some people
from flow there some community members should be great um and then we're going to have a a big
dinner at the crane club for those who know it's a wonderful restaurant uh we're going to be
gathering together a lot of you know flow apps a lot of uh media and sports tech business to kind of, you know, talk about,
you know, what is next? You know, it feels like crypto's move. Crypto always moves a million
miles an hour, but it feels even more so now with things with AI, stable coins, all this stuff. And
so we want to kind of gather the media together, you know, at a dinner event and be able to talk
about what's coming next. And then we have the happy hour, like I mentioned, and then we're also going to have a brunch for upcoming founders, for VCs to come get together.
VCs can meet young founders.
Founders can meet VCs and kind of get started
on their journey to building something amazing.
And so, yeah, so we got three,
I'll recap that because I know I've rambled.
Got a media dinner.
We're going to have a happy hour with Youth Global. And then we've got a brunch, um, as well. So,
and fanatics fest, like I said, what is the, uh, are you allowed to talk about what's happening at
FF? Uh, I mean, I, from my understanding is that they're going to have a presence there. I think
there's going to be boosts and other things like, um, so I don't know exactly, you know exactly you know what what it is what i maybe can and cannot say uh but i think it's really
gonna be great and i think it's gonna meet sports fans right where they're at you know what i mean
which is exactly kind of what drip it's saying uh which it seems like is a specialty of apps on flow
and so uh it's gonna fit right in i love how you said meet them where they are that is
this is just I've always felt this even before you know working with BZ over a
year ago I I think flow has such a way of making sure that they align with you
know the normie sentiment right and i hope nobody's offended by that word
listen okay we were all normies at one point our family members and our friends that don't
like crypto the way we do are normies um but what i'm getting at is it's very clear that from day
one flow has has just moved in a way where i don't see any other chain doing this? How many chains or how many other companies you hear going to these
really, really big activations, Web2 based, and then also having a presence as well.
I just, I just, bravo to the team and making sure you guys have a presence and are there.
Cause I think that's huge. I think that's, that's really important. It's going to be my
first FF. So I'm definitely hyped.
There's – I'm not going to lie.
My number one goal is to target – actually, target sounds crazy.

Sure, it's a few things, but what's one thing?

What is one thing that we're proud of that's come to fruition?
I don't mean to harp on, like, gosh,
if you actually dive into kind of, like,
the things that are happening at a technical level in Flow,
like people who are, you know, inclined or developers typically walk away incredibly impressed.
And so that's why I don't want to say, hey, we're proud of this one thing versus this other thing because each team who's doing something on Flow is incredibly impressive.
Like you have the cadence team is working on the cadence programming language, incredibly impressive.
You have the cryptography team is working on Flow, you know, verified on-chain randomness, which, incredibly impressive. You have the cryptography team is working on Flow,

which is incredibly impressive.
Like everything that Flow does,
and I don't mean to say this in an arrogant way,
it's like industry leading, if that makes sense.
And so it feels like every day, every week,
every month is a new victory,
is a new, you know, awesome thing that's happening on Flow.
So I don't know.
I'll say it maybe because I live in the moment.
It feels like New York City is kind of a cool moment for us in the way that we'll be at Fanatics Fest and this.
And it just feels like a step in the right.
It feels like right now what's happening on Flow is so interesting
in the way that, you know, you have Dapper Sports at Fanatics Fest.
You have Disney Pinnacle. You can claim a pin at any Disney good neighbor hotel in Disneyland, right? Like
people are interacting with NFTs, all these amazing places. Then we have, then we have DeFi apps like
Kitty Punch, who you can go and get tokens from the CryptoKitties game. Like it's like, feels like
everywhere you look, every corner you turn, there's something fascinating and interesting happening on Flow,
from the app level, from the protocol level.
It just feels like a really exciting time to be building,
using, and being around Flow.

Yeah, I had to jump up from the audience and share share because I knew Matt was going to bury the lead there.
But I don't know if you guys saw just a couple of weeks ago, massive new, you know, Disney really doubling down on flow and continuing our great partnership we have through Disney Pinnacle,
where they're now offering all U.S. Disney Plus subscribers free digital pins monthly.
Since I joined the team a couple months ago, that's the biggest onboarding thing I've seen in Web3, period.
Now your parents can just very easily see, oh, I pay for this subscription, now I get this cool benefit,
and it gives them a cool opportunity to try something out new in Web3.
I haven't seen something like that that has the opportunity to onboard so many people
since, you know, Flow started NBA Top Shot,
however many years back that was.
So, yes, there is a lot of cool stuff under the hood,
but it doesn't mean there's a lot of really, you know,
there isn't really cool stuff
that everyone can get excited about also.
That was, that's actually a really good point.
Now, for somebody that is a super disney you know
uh person loves going to disney takes their kids all the things family stuff what is what is a pin
exactly and and do what they i would imagine they already know i remember back when i was younger
we would collect the pins and i was like give me a pin and they were like expensive and a thing
um i'd be lying if i still you know go physically
to collect i think i have enough but what is the whole pin thing as far as a digital pin for those
that may not know or understand yeah i'll jump in here as the token disney fan on the on the
flow team um and without going into a total diatribe because i will about disney pins um
you know disney pins have been around for about 25 years.
There's been over 100,000 different unique pins distributed by Disney up until this point.
But one of the things is, and I was just doing some research the other day, because right now
there's a treasure hunt on the Disney Pinnacle app, which is the app on Flow, where people are
gunning to get a one-of-one pin, right? And I did some research on ChatGPT to see,
oh, how many one-of-one Disney pins
out of the 100,000 they've debuted so far
are one-of-ones or super rare.
And nobody knows.
Like, there's no database.
So they're like, we think maybe 500,
and it may be because some are misprints.
We're not really sure.
So, yeah, what digital pins do is they, you know,
it doesn't replace physical pins.

Um, but as a collector, you know, things are like verifiably scarce, you know, uh, you
can see them all on your phone.
Like there's just, it's a really cool experience, uh, for those who like Disney collectibles.

So yeah, Disney pinnacle, it's in your app store, iOS, Android.
It's not in,
you don't have to like, you know, do a weird download. It's just in your app stores where you already are. And you can, you know, buy digital collectibles with a, with a card.
So you don't even need to have a wallet.

what's something that you guys are really excited that you're cooking for right now?
Yeah.
As I mentioned, the volatility product we have coming out.
And on the subject of flow rewards, which, you know, I agree with you guys.
It's really cool to have the kind of the RWA twist on the on-chain rewards programs, which I think got played out over
the last 15 months, but really cool, kind of brought the fresh air into the concept.
You know, in addition to just trading on our smart router, which we call AggroKitty, which
routes between pools on, all pools on FlowEDM, We also have ability to earn keys.
I don't know the numbers right now.

So if you hold, if you trade the Froth token,
which again is kind of the, you know,
de facto protocol token for the punch swap,
which is our main decks and, you know,
volatility product coming up.
So if you swap 5,000 froth, you get six keys.
You can do that back and forth. And then there's also holder incentives for it. So you can,
up to, I think it's like 10 million froth held, you can earn 35,000 keys per week. So if you're
someone that has just like a shit ton of boxes and are looking for a quick way to, you know, farm keys, essentially, you know,
this holding for all token or swapping is a great way. And, you know, obviously, in addition to
the claw. But yeah, so again, we're super excited about what's about to be released. You know, we
kind of kept the tokenomic economic system under wraps until we launch, but it's going to be pretty insane.
The kind of on chain, you know, liquidity and volume driver that the VIX product will
introduce to FlowEVM.
So again, I think, you know, we see this as almost like a bell curve for adoption, or
reverse bell curve, I guess,
where obviously we need the consumer side
and a lot of the RWA and cool stuff,
but we also need the crypto natives,
the liquidity, the market makers
to want to adopt ProEVM,
which will drive everything out of the
all ships rise to the tide type of approach.
So Kitty Punch is fighting that front for everyone. And, you know, I think we're getting closer.

Anything, probably going to throw you on the spot here, but what's one of the most challenging things since building out Kitty Punch?
You know, it's always a chicken or an egg when you're building on a new blockchain environment.
Obviously, Flow was totally cadence focused. And so it's essentially launching a new chain
that's segmented within a kind of a chain environment.
So, you know, Doodless and Zach
and a lot of this core team at Flow Foundation have,
you know, I've worked with a lot of different foundations
and they're by far the best I've worked with.
Kind of had a vision and a goal in mind to hit
and they've been going towards
it since September. But it's always a struggle with solving liquidity, solving volume, solving
users, solving bridges, solving centralized exchange deposits. So it's a different battle
when you're on a DeFi front and you need to capture liquidity from other chains
because essentially it's a PVP environment for DeFi right now, cross chains, because
it's not much liquidity is coming into the space.
And so that's where we're taking advantage of the unique opportunity of not only being
consumer product adjacent, where we can do things like a stable coin product that can
become the railings of things like buying Disney pins or trading top shots, but also looking at ways we can take advantage of a med-free
environment to create novel products that otherwise would have higher barriers of entry
on Ethernet or on base.
And one of those is going to be this volatility product.
So we have the core primitives with trading, farming and stuff, but now we're, you know, we have the core primitives with trading, you know, you know, farming and stuff, but now we're going to be turning it on as it pertains to, you know, derivative products and novel applications of things that, you know, have gotten legs before or maybe died out in the DeFi summer era happen. And I think it's kind of a fun juxtaposition to be in here,
building this on a consumer centric chain, because it's it's it kind of, you know, people come here
from buying a pin. But then, you know, as they learn crypto, they go down the rabbit hole and
become a degen. So we want we want we want to make that conversion. And we're building it with

And I think I do want to kind of give a little bit of a high level cause I
think we got, we got lost in our own sauce here.
And so maybe it'd be helpful to give a little, you know, what is Flow Rewards 101? Because you might have
seen the tweets that say, you know, keys, boxes, what are those? And the whole point of keys and
boxes is that, you know, Flow is not a one-trick pony, right? There's a ton of stuff going on in
Flow, but we had to kind of arbitrarily kind of demarcate, say, like, these are the two sides of Flow.
You have maybe like an earn side, like a DeFi side, and a play and collect side.
And so for participating on the earn side, you get boxes, which are kind of like the DeFi activities.
For participating on the play and collect side, you get keys.
And so we wanted to really, like the whole thing is, like we said, we want to help apps succeed and grow their user base and reward their new fans on Flow.
And so the separation of the boxes and keys encourages people, like if they earn keys on BZ, they might need to go poke around with some DeFi or some earned stuff during those boxes to really complete that journey.

And this chain, you know, has been here for a very long time and it's been building.
And like with everybody else, when the bear came, everybody had their issues to deal with.

So I think as long as everybody keeps building on this chain and people recognize the value of the speed and the
value of the ease and the value of all the daps that are being built on here and even even like

last bear came and we knew what what coins going to make it and what coins weren't.
I bet a lot of people didn't assume that Flow would continue to build like crazy.
So I think Flow is like basically in a perfect position to have a crazy breakout in the future, especially with all the tech that's being built on it.
