Good evening, everyone.
Good evening, everybody.
Thank you for joining us.
We're going to get started in one minute.
We're just going to let some people come into the room.
Make sure that you ping and follow and send out and share to all your friends the space.
This is Hope for Maui.
We're going to talk about the campaign that we currently have been working diligently on for the last five weeks.
The founder of Hope for Habitat, I'm sorry, Hope for Housing is here, Chris Collins, and some of our other board members.
And so if you guys, please, would take a moment to go share, and we'll invite a couple more people in, invite some people up to speak.
And good evening, James.
Good evening.
Early evening for me.
Late evening for you guys.
Love these time zone changes.
God, I love them.
Hey, Shorter and Arcella and DJ Lord Ron, welcome.
I'm just going to let a couple more people come in, and then we will start in about all the work that we've been up to with Hope for Maui.
Be sure to tweet the space out, share it.
Let's get people in here.
Let's give them the updates of everything we've been doing.
That's going to be awesome.
So we want to definitely keep inviting a couple people in.
We want to make sure a couple people are here.
Dania and James, if you guys want to share.
Let's see.
All right.
Waiting on a couple more people to come in.
And then we'll get started.
Give it about two more minutes, maybe.
And then we'll get going.
Hey, Shorter.
How do I invite you up?
Chris, I'm about to get him to speak.
He's a speaker.
Shorter's a listener.
Welcome in, everyone. Welcome in. Make sure you guys share, share, share. We'll be starting
in a few minutes.
Hello, Chris. Good evening.
I am trying to figure out how to get this soundboard and voice board off.
Oh, my God. Wait, what did you say?
What the heck did you say to me?
Oh, my God.
I can't see nobody's faces. All I got is these emojis.
Never a dumb moment. I don't even know what you touched to get your voice.
I don't even know how to fix it.
You got a voice chance from a former.
I pushed the little magic wand thing that's right next to the microphone.
Probably shouldn't have pushed that.
I don't know. I don't even know how to fix it.
I got it fixed. I figured it out.
Oh, my God.
Never a dumb moment. I swear to God, never a dumb moment, honey.
There's a helium shortage in Illinois.
Seriously, because what in the world?
That is hilarious.
Once we get Chris back to his normal voice,
I want to have him talk about how hope started,
but then also how hope for Maui started and all that,
because we talked a little bit about this yesterday
when we were on Uncle Rhino's Instagram,
and it's such a beautiful story,
so I want you guys to hear that.
So you're wanting me to speak about what I spoke about yesterday
as I was here?
You know, if I'm going to say that story,
I'm thinking I probably, you know,
I'm going to invite some people.
I'm just now figuring this thing out.
Yep, invite some people.
So I'm going to bring people
and see if I can get this room to grow.
And then we'll start. Then I'll talk.
Okay, and try to figure out what's going on with the voices.
Okay, well, once again,
I just want to welcome everyone here
and into the space.
Please share, like, and we're going to get started here.
I'm going to go jump right in
because we're already at 7.07.
So I know that a lot of people have been here now seven minutes,
and I know that X goes a lot longer.
I know that there's rooms that last for a while here.
So I, but we're going to make this a pretty, you know,
straight to the point,
have a deep conversation about the work that we've been doing
and how you can support.
We definitely need hands on deck.
So I'm just going to give you a brief interim
of how I got started in this project.
I have the honor and the blessing of being the organizer
of disaster relief, recovery, and rehabilitation
for Hope for Maui, as well as I am a senior publicist.
Many of you may or may not know me.
My name is Sabah First Lady Chavez.
I received a phone call almost five weeks ago.
So we're going on week six here
from Mr. Chris Collins,
the founder of Hope Foundation,
housing our people everywhere.
And Chris and I have built a really strong rapport
and friendship over the last couple of years.
And we've talked about making sure that as,
so one of the things that I work on
is the sustainability goals for the UN.
And one of the biggest things
is getting our homeless off the streets.
And that is a very big thing for me
and for many people.
And especially for the people who are affected
that don't have a place to live.
Food, basic resources,
which is all, to me, inhumane.
And at the end of the day,
you know, we all deserve opportunity.
So when we received a call
a little over six weeks ago
from Chris in regards to
what was going on in Maui,
it was through an actual mutual acquaintance
back around.
And who had called Chris
about what was going on in Maui.
And they had just experienced
the worst fire of our world's history
there in Lahaina town of Maui, Hawaii.
And aloha to all in the space.
And so we've learned to,
we've learned of the stories.
We learned immediately then
how sad and immediately jumped
into crisis mode to help and assist.
Within about two hours,
we had a website up and running.
And we have added just so many
sister and brother organizations,
foundations to our cause
and to our fundraiser.
Hope for Maui is the campaign.
And we are looking to raise the funds
and capital to make sure
and ensure 2,000 homes
are delivered there to Maui
and to create jobs
and other opportunities.
But also, we obviously have
a wish list of itemized
and an itemized list of things
that are needed on a day-to-day basis.
We started a newscast
the second day,
I would say maybe second or third day,
of receiving the news of Maui.
We started the newscast
two days before President Biden.
We were really saddened
by what we learned
from the people on the ground,
not getting the resources
that they needed
in a timely manner.
And it was very much
the people helping the people
to protect the land.
And so that is what we are here for.
We are here for the people.
We stand with the indigenous people
of Hawaii.
And we will continue
to do this work.
This is what we consider day one
to five to 10 years
sustainable plan
in the rebuild of Maui
and many in any other disasters.
We are really grateful.
And I just want to shout out
for one moment
a lot of our partners
and also shout out
Uncle Ryan who just came in.
So we also,
behind the newscast,
we started our benefit concert series.
And our benefit concert series
has been running
since the,
what, maybe like the 26th of August
every single day
as well as our newscast
where we're having real dialect.
We're having real conversation.
We're delivering conscious news
in a storytelling manner
at many times
it hits very hard
and it really puts stuff
into an everyday perspective for us.
We understand that
every moment
that we are here
is the moment
that somebody's going without.
And so we definitely
need all hands on deck.
five dollars,
even if it's just a retweet
or a follow
or you can get the word out.
That's all we ask
is that we continue to,
spend the time
in and get the word out
and the fundraising causes
that we have this Saturday.
Uncle Ryan,
Rhinosaurus,
who just joined us here
on and in the space,
will be giving us
a live performance
and concert.
And we are so honored by him.
If you have missed
any of them,
the Wailers,
Bob Marley and the Wailers
band has already gone.
We've had Malik Youssef,
eight-time Grammy Award winner.
We've also had Head Cracks
from Dish Nation,
Opera Artist Comedian.
We've had a lot
of beautiful souls
who have contributed
their time
to make this benefit
concert happen.
And we still have a lot,
lot of things to do
and fund to come
to raise the funds
that are necessary
to give these people
and our sisters
and brothers in Lahaina
everything that they might need.
as you can imagine,
there's been a lot
of stories
that have come out
and learning the truth
is one side of it,
but then delivering
and what people
are experiencing
is another part.
I also just,
I'm going to take
before we jump
to shout out
our current
affiliates,
sister and brother
organizations,
foundations,
and our organizations
and then we can
keep going
into the dialect.
I want to shout out
Hope Foundation,
Chris Collins,
Dynamic Solutions,
Storm Search and Rescue,
NFT Rescue,
New Hope Advocacy,
Doc Ellis Foundation,
we want to shout out
Tech of Payment,
Next Legacy,
and I'll bring in
some other names too.
Please make sure
that if you guys
can you please
pin at the top
www.hope4maui.org
is how you can
and see the
concert series
as well as
make donations there.
Thank you guys
for being here.
Please spread this word.
We need all hands
and you can be
part of this solution
as we rebuild Maui.
And with that,
I will pass it on
to Chris Collins
and welcome everyone
to the space.
you ready?
James is putting
his hand up.
do you want
to introduce yourself?
I'm James Ballister,
founder of
NFT Rescue Foundation.
Welcome to those
in the Cardano community
that are popping in
and also the
V-Chain community.
V-Foodies down below.
He's been a great
supporter of
NFT Rescue
and our projects.
Arcella as well.
Cardano community
has been amazing.
Great support group.
looking forward
to seeing more
NFT Rescue Foundation
got founded
in April of 2021.
We've been
working on
building on
the Cardano
blockchain.
We've been working
on building on
the Cardano
blockchain
to disrupt
philanthropy,
to make it
100% transparent
and also create
transactions
donors can
monitor in
and see what
results that
their actual
funding is doing
with the 14
different umbrella
causes that we
support all around
the globe.
So I'm looking
forward to being
a big part of
Maui and seeing
the first homes
being turned over
to the first
residents and being
able to share
that proof of
work and the
proof of donations
and it's going to
be fantastic.
I'm looking forward
So I'm glad to be
on the team.
And I'm definitely
glad that you're
on the team.
Thank you,
when you had
brought NFT
appalling in
every way that
these people
need to know
they all matter,
they're all going
to be fine.
We're going to
take care of them.
We want to take
care of them.
We want them to
take care of
themselves.
That's the key
behind it.
not us take
care of them.
It's us give
them the tools
so that they
can continue to
take care of
themselves and
create a sustainable
way of life for
these people.
They actually can
go on to the
other islands and
fix the problems
with the homeless,
with the drug
abuse, with the
mental illness.
You know, it's
about all of it.
You have to reach
Now, you have to
realize these people
have went through
a traumatic, these
children have went
through traumatic.
situations that is
going to be with
them forever.
Now, we don't
want them to live
in the past so
that they can't
have a bright
We want them to
realize that the
future is everything
that they're going
I have no clue
what it's going to
be yet, but I
want to see.
And I know that
there's 2,000
people that are
ready for these
homes to show
We've designed a
beautiful little
home for one
project that's
250 houses on
40 acres on
It's a separate
situation of what
we're trying to
129 acres.
We've got 200
acres that has
been dedicated
that would be
given back to
the people on
the east side of
the island, and
we can use 129
acres of it to
start building
them homes.
And we need to
start shipping
We have the
ability to ship
them from the
states and also
from other
countries.
We do have
The world is
stepping up.
What hope for
Maui stands for
is humans on
planet earth for
Now, everywhere
on earth can
have one of
these running
because we all
have a problem
in different
Right now we
have one that
is out in the
middle of the
ocean that
everything has
to be able to
be getting.
You have to
get it there.
That's the key
ingredient is
getting something
doing something
to get the
stuff there.
We have the
ability of
making material
that won't
burn, won't
absorb water,
termite free,
mold resistant,
recyclable,
build it without
a dumpster,
build it cheaper
than wood,
and you get a
60% discount on
insurance versus
the wood and
positive for
this devastation.
also, these
250, the first
ones that they're
going over, are
going to be on
So that way, if
there is something,
they can grab
hold of them and
pull them out of
But they're also
going to be
self-sufficient.
They're going to
create their own
water, each home.
They're going to
create their own
So it's a way
to start showing
what we can do
everywhere.
But we need to
start somewhere,
and there's no
better way right
So that's where
our focus has
been since
And really,
it happened three
days afterwards.
Because that's
when I got a
phone call from
someone from
and he was
the ignition
that I was
looking for
just caused
that spark
so I can get
that fire burning
in people's
heart that water
won't put out.
Start that
inferno that
will never burn
But it's in
Because you are
the solution
to every problem.
It's just whether
or not you claim
But you can also
ignore it.
But the problem
is if we ignore it,
it continues to be
a problem and it
gets worse.
So it's just
like an infection.
If you don't
you're going to
get worse.
So it's time
for us to be
that probiotic
in the wound.
Put stitches
and antibiotics
where they're
But make sure
that this infection
never comes back
by medicating
the band-aids
that are already
And giving
empowerment
to help us.
Because they
are already there.
You got to look
at all the
organizations
throughout the
country and
throughout the
They're already
there in your
community.
Now, I don't
want to have to
meet everybody
in your community
when they already
have reached
people in your
community.
It's the difference
of getting things
I'm doing some
things in the U.S.
as well as we're
trying to send
houses to Maui.
But I'm going to
because there's a
hurricane that just
And I'm going to
go and pay it
I'm going to build
one and I'm going
to take it to
the next city
and I'm going
to put it on
the ground.
And then I'm
going to put the
material on the
ground and I'm
going to have
that city build
one and put it
on the trailer
and take it to
the next city.
I'm going to
start to pay it
Because I've
I know that it
In 2010, I
showed 25 people
how to gut a
home in 30
minutes or less.
Now, they told
me I was full of
Well, I told them
give me 30
minutes and if I'm
wrong, go back to
doing what you're
But if I'm
right, we're
going to be
done today.
So all the
people had to
do was listen
and pay attention
and they learned
something that they
didn't know about
construction.
And when I
showed it to
them, I asked
them at the end
of it to go
show 25 people
what I just
showed you.
17,000 homes in
60 days in
Nashville.
Look it up.
Research any way
you want to look
Tell how fast
that flood was
recovered.
But it was done
with volunteers
because I saw
them show up by
the tens of
thousands and do
exactly what I
showed those
people to do.
The difference is
look at every
disaster before
They didn't know
They didn't have
But now they
clean up every
one of them.
And this is
So Houston, you
can't tell, was
underwater.
But the two
material that
was sitting
at the street
I could see
when I went
there with
my own eyes.
I saw what
I put into
those people,
that probiotic.
It infected
the world because
charities that
clean up those
disasters took
that education
with them.
And I watched
every disaster
since 2010
get cleaned up
washers, dryers,
refrigerator, stoves,
water, heaters,
and cars that
you're tired of
or that's been
destroyed and
let's build homes
that'll last a
thousand years
that'll give our
children a legacy
that'll live on
forever because
they are the
solution to every
adult's problem as
they're inheriting
every one of them.
I don't know
I don't know what
happened but
hello hello
welcome everyone
if you haven't
already done so
please make sure
that you have
shared out
this broadcast
hello welcome
thank you Chris
for everything
it's amazing
what can happen
when you work
with amazing
what I'm gonna
she literally
her everything
project and
brought so
many amazing
people to the
I just want to
give you your
flowers for this
because this
what you have
been able to
do in less
than six weeks
is incredible
we've came
together with
some amazing
shout out to
one of our
main hosts
definitely
very diligent
sure that the
stories of the
people get out
because the
biggest thing
about what
is we want
to be there
for the people
not just the
first 15 minutes
that the rest
of the media
so welcome
in everyone
welcome in
hello Jordan
good to see
and that's
the people
as possible
encouragement
work on the
streets with
the homeless
every month
whether it be
Diego which
is are the
two closest
counties to
families are
just growing
in numbers
street and
these little
playing ball
in the middle
of you know
downtown LA
downtown San
Diego thinking
lifestyle is
normal they're
they're growing
normalcy that
living in a
sidewalk is
that's that's
the scariest
you know see
know I was
a kid growing
middle of a
civil war you
thought it was
thought you
know you're
you're there to
fight and you
fight I didn't
even belong to
that country you
know I'm an
American citizen
growing up in a
South American
dictatorship and
a civil war broke
out that lasted
four years four
and a half years
and everybody
you know that
were kids around
my age they
were like oh
yeah you know
this is this is
going to be the
new Argentina this
is how it's going
to be you know
and everybody was
thinking this was
normal and here I
emerging student I
can't fly out of
that country because
all air travel was
suspended I was
locked in that
country I had to
do what I had to
do to to get
involved in and
protect the people
today I'm 57
years old you
know today I
don't go to bed
during 4th of
July I don't go
to bed during
weird stuff that's
happening here in
the U.S. that
are triggers to
to start it all
over again but
here in my
homeland now and
it's I just hate
seeing the kids
go through it and
that's that's the
biggest heartache
for me absolutely
you know and
that's the biggest
Maui is about
helping to
build sustainable
housing I think
the the biggest
issue that we've
had when it
comes down to
different natural
disasters is just
the fact that
everyone cares for
five minutes and
then we're on to
the next tragedy
this is why it was
so important for us
to be able to give
a voice to people
who actually live
there that's
why if you go on
our YouTube channel
and our YouTube
channel the majority
of the people that
are talking there
are actually from
Maui because we
wanted to hear it
straight from them
as opposed to going
by what we heard
but you know in the
in the mainstream
yes yes yes
do you want to
figured maybe
somebody was going
to speak I kind
of did a drop the
mic moment and
see where it was
going to go from
literally drop the
mic because I was
like what happened
just like this
right at the top
and when you guys
website please pin
the website up at
the top and you
guys please make
sure that you go
find and follow
hope for Maui
we're still baby
steps in this
campaign this is
only five weeks
in but we have
done a lot of
work and I want
to thank Chris
for his leadership
in this I want to
thank Danaya for
her tireless days
and nights in this
I want to thank
James for his
wisdom and his
help as well I
mean this is a
really amazing
phenomenal team and
it keeps building
every single day
let me tell you
guys I'm a brand
new woman in
these last five
weeks every
single moment of
this has been an
honor and a
blessing and I
feel nothing but
the ancestors pain
I feel on an
empathetic level
why these souls
have ascended so
quickly they're
wondering how they
got to heaven and
I feel their push
from the sacred
lands of Maui and
Lahaina and
Hawaii and I
feel very in tune
with that I want
to drop some real
statistics I want
to drop some
serious pieces that
have touched my
soul and rocked my
soul so I want to
take you guys back a
couple weeks ago in
the middle of the
day middle of the
evening quiet and
a fire started on
one side of the
town as that fire
continued to roll
through there were
police barricades put
up there were people
who were starting to
see smoke there was
no alarm set to
warn Lahaina town of
a blaze that was
coming through it was
never called it was
never pulled it
wasn't a tsunami so
they chose not to
sound the alarm one
young brave soul saw
the fire and took a
bicycle and rode 13
miles in gathered his
grandmother grandma
grandma why aren't you
out of the house
there's a big fire
nobody sounded the
alarm one beautiful
soul that made it if
he put his grandmother
on his bike and
peddle her out of
Lahaina town so
many other people
food land grocery
store downtown
Lahaina everybody
was found their body
was found right where
they were shopping
due to smoke
inhalation cars flooded
the streets completely
in ash completely
burnt inside and
out many people hopped
in the ocean trying to
take refuge their
families daughters
children grandmothers
aunties uncles
anybody they could get
into the ocean with
them at 90 mile per
hour hurricane winds
to stay out of the
fires blazed now we've
all made our own and
we can make our own
assumption to what
happened how it
happened but
currently Lahaina has
normally as of last
year 3,500 students
registered in Lahaina town
school district this
year we can only account
for 200 in home
school and 300 in
neighboring school
districts we still have
a staggering 3,000
children that are
missing many of the
numbers that you guys
are getting is only
one percent there's a
lot of stories coming
from where it came
where it is but let's
talk about the people
let's talk about the
fact that to this
point there are people
coming up to people's
homes and asking would
you you need water you
need food you need
basic needs well sign
this piece of paper and
sign your home away
they're getting phone
calls well we heard
you guys were just in
a disaster would you
like to sell your
land many of us know
that as a land grab
the people of Lahaina
currently cannot go
back to their homes and
see what remains they
have of their home if
any there is a wall
that barricades and was
built almost I guess
four weeks ago now
there's police
policing around the
walls but we've never
seen these uniforms
when this all happened
the people took in the
other people on the
other side of the
island the people
provide each other with
water up until about
four a week ago there
were still fires blazing
across Lahaina people
didn't understand they
don't they don't did
it they the the news
is doing its job while
we're doing our job we
have the honor and
blessing to stand with
the aunties and uncles
and indigenous people of
Lahaina who did not
receive and currently are
slowly continuing to help
one another as sisters and
brothers and unify and
feed and water and
shelter and build but
every moment that this
is going on that we're
having a Twitter space
somebody is going
without so I really
need you guys to go
donate right now at
www.hopeformaui.org so
that we can ensure this
home and these housing
now thankful and
grateful because the
economy there on Maui is
one that's based around
tourism most people work
in hotels or work for
hotels or work in
taxis or ubers or
delivering food that's
their economy that's
normally what drives
Maui right now many of
those hotels are housing
some not all by a long
shot of the people there
in Maui in about 18 days
that will be no longer
now once again this is
why there is an extreme
need and you can be part
of that solution by
donating you can be part
of the solution by taking
the time to share this to
share the information that
you've learned tonight in
the present we need all
hands on deck these people
need homes they deserve
homes they deserve human
rights they deserve these
boats and barges that we
have and people who have
offered their time and
offered so many amazing
donations from so many
different places and the
delivery of continued
goods most people forget
after a tragedy that after
Monday Tuesday Wednesday
Thursday Friday it keeps
going and so they think
well we got a couple
packages over there that
might have done something
fed a family maybe we've
housed this thing but what
about the next thing what
about the next thing now
the other beauty in hope
for Maui and the
foundation and that our
sister brother affiliates in
this campaign offer special
education offer homeschooling
to children who have just
experienced something that's
horrific they can have free
homeschooling we have the
ability to offer them that we
have the ability to come in
through dynamic solutions who
is the first responders to
9-11 all the way to
currently in Florida they're
on the ground for the
hurricane we can go and
dive rescue do forensic we
are all licensed they're
licensed they're ready to go
we can do so many things and
these group of people storm
search and rescue I have to
shout out Rob Laree one of
our other brothers who is
activated in so many of these
devastations across the
country teaches people how
to work together comes in and
helps other teams who are
there fire firemen you know
different people police force
that everybody how to work
together as a community so can
you be part of the solution you
can even if you can't donate one
dollar or five dollars you can
get it out to the next person and
that's all we're asking is that
you continue to help us
rebuild and to continue a
sustainable plan for Maui
everybody's talking about all
these other organizations all
this stuff that's going on at the
end of the day what I tell this
team is slow and steady wins the
race we're not in a race so but we
are a human race and so we can
work together as sisters and
brothers and really really make a
strong impact so it starts with
you it starts in your community
it starts at home and it can go
out into the world right now our
sisters and brothers of Maui in
Lahaina town need us and so we're
going to continue to hug them as on a
world platform and we're going to
continue to get the word out and
we're going to continue to do this
work this is our first X space I'm
really grateful and honored that all
of you are here and at this moment I
am going to invite you once again to
go visit us at www.hope4maui hope with
number four maui.org and make a
contribution let's see what we can do
let's see what all 20 people in this
space can do I believe in you and I
hope you believe in me thank you again
for joining us and I will pass it on to
Chris or shorter welcome shorter if you
haven't spoke shorter welcome to the
space and this was shorter yet another
one of our brothers in this who reminded
us to come to the X space reminded us to
come to our community here on Twitter
okay Chris thank you thanks Chris
appreciate that how y'all doing how y'all
doing yeah man we definitely want to try
to get the word out bring awareness to
what's what's going on over there in the
Maui and the people of Lahana we we've
been talking to have several
conversations on the last couple of
nights about the the different things
that we can do and coming together as a
community to bring not only awareness
but to bring in some funds right like
we we definitely need to tap into our
resources of people that are that we
resonate with that might be able to help
us get support for 2,000 families that
definitely need housing because after
like eight I think it's 18 20 days the
little hotel bill thing runs out and
that's that's it that's it for them and
we need to try to do what we can as far
as making a donation to the to the cause
ourselves as we can but other than that
we have some events that we're going to
be doing that we would definitely like to
get the community involved with to help
spread the word and bring more awareness
for the things in the efforts that we're
trying to do in Maui and I think that's
about it for me right now if anybody else
got something to say tag on in
well one of those events are this
Saturday hope for Maui benefit concert
and series continues with uncle Ryan
dinosaur you guys might have known him
from a previous band by the name of
Cain Abel country singer humanitarian
philanthropist one of the kindest most
inspirational souls that I've ever had
the honor and blessing of knowing and
getting to meet in this process and
also one of our board members for search
and rescue so on this Saturday you guys
can take a time make a donation and come
on into that concert series we have been
running it as a free concert series we've
been running as a free newscast and it is
now time to take it to the next level and
so that's what this week has been for all
of us is getting the word out starting to
get sponsorships and donors together so
that we can make the 2000 homes a reality
and I would and I would say in everything
that I said especially about the 18 days I
want to remind you guys that there's still
many people right now that don't have a
home so tonight they probably are staying
hopefully with somewhere but we don't know
that we don't know that to be a fact there's
still many people who are displaced and
without a home even right now so when you lay
your head down tonight I want you guys to
take this thought with you send love send your
prayers do what you can let's continue to show
Maui that we are Lahaina and Maui strong and
that's a good mahalo for me tonight make sure
that you guys come and join us at www.hopeformaui.org
and I'm going to keep running the campaign and
I'm just grateful to see so many fun faces and
so many people that I are dear to me here in
the space oh and Uncle Ryan is here so why
don't we invite him up he's here Uncle
Ryan Ryan for welcome anything you want to
share with us
what's up girl I'm just sitting here
battling with X trying to figure out how to
turn my mic on the struggles real
all right well I this is the first one for
me I've not you utilized one of these
spaces before so pardon me everyone and
bear with me I just think this is amazing
having everybody together I was content to
just sit back and watch everyone coalesce and
come together uh Saba as usual she nailed it uh
talking about the struggles and it it just
comes down to the the straight up short version
of everything guys is all of the trusted
people and all the trusted institutions that
are there to safeguard and protect these
people have failed them that's the just
don't even want to get into why and how
they didn't have a an alarm system that
didn't go off it was turned off
all these things that were designed and
funded to protect these beautiful people
they were betrayed so that leaves us with
the next question what are we going to do
about it well you have all answered that
every single one of you and you're beautiful
you were beautiful before but now you're
just so beautiful you got war your souls of
war your poets and you're showing up to the
line when your name is called or when no one
else answers that's even more important if
not us who and y'all are doing it uh they need
to know that they're not forgotten because the
news chases the flavor of the nanosecond they
move on to the next topic in about seven
days and a lot of people want this to
disappear and go away because of incompetence
and or betrayals either one they want it to go
away and we can't let it so we're pushing
against the grain on everything for people who
were betrayed and forgotten and so we have
got the most righteous most righteous of
missions we are fighting for the light all
day long and i just wanted to thank every
single one of you for being a part of this
you are so beautiful you are so appreciated by
people who will never see your face and
you'll never see theirs but i guarantee you
they appreciate you more than you know and i
thank y'all all for being here
you know when when you said that it's one
thing you know i heard you speaking last
night when we were doing the instagram and
there's something that people really need to
experience they need to really experience a
true thank you a thank you that can't be put
in words and when you receive one i promise
you'll never forget that you got it but
the other part is is you realize what you
can do to change others and the way they
think and how they feel because everyone
matters and when they feel like they they
are just left alone and they and there's
there's no help whatsoever and the
struggle is just hard and there you know
get told go different directions this that
and the other not knowing what to do
well that's why we need to help claim
these problems because for every problem
you have if if others knew that problem
wouldn't be so bad on you and that's
where we want to show these people that we
haven't met face to face that we don't
want them to feel disgrace we don't want
them to be discouraged we want to take
the diss out of their mouth and give them
honor no dishonor no disrespect give them
respect take that diss out of our mouth
that way we can dismiss this thought of it
won't it'll go away this problem will go
away if we claim it and we fix the problem if
we forget about it it's still going to be
there it's just going to be in the back of
your mind and that's what the way people
think you know I've dealt with a lot of
people in my day about a million of them
spoke to you face to face looked you right in
the eye the difference was is what you told me
you were going to do I hope you did because
because then you're in the in the 1% of
the 1% because 99.99% of them didn't do
what they said that's not my fault though
and it's not yours either the difference
is is it shows who you are by what you do
now these people have been very selfless and
I am so thankful and grateful and in every
way there I mean I can't even put it into
words all right there is a thank you
there that they're going to get but
they're getting it through all of the
people that know they're not alone this is
real this is happening these homes are
going there you know and they can go
everywhere okay we've got we've got
house frames five thousand dollars 25 foot
home okay if there's a if there's a
homeless problem it's because the people
don't know that they're part of the
solution you are the solution but it's
whether or not you're paying attention I
just told you something that cost five
grand cost you 20 grand to have it
totally built totally built but that's
you building it that's not me building it
but that could be off the grid and you and
yours you know this is the part of paying
attention but now do you know that I
know a guy that has two of these that
are smaller than this in his backyard and
he makes nine thousand dollars a month
from it he lives in Oakland California so
you're allowed in most of the cities across
this country to have an a and an adu it's
an additional dwelling unit on your
property whether or not it's in your
community yet find out it's I don't know
but it isn't a lot of them a lot of a
majority of them because it's utilizing
space that's not being used that can fix a
problem that's where I'm at you at the
house you you might own and have right
there you can make a difference in a
veteran's life you can make a difference
in it in a child's life that's it's
aging out of foster care you can because
you know 95 percent of the children that
age out of foster care go to prison
because they don't have anything well I
want them to have I want them to have a
home a forever home one they never had
in four but you know what it takes it
takes us to create the unit so why do we
have to join the military to know what a
unit feels like we don't we need the
military that's already joined to come
into the community and teach us how it's
not about being better than someone else
it's about being the best of the you take
the the weakest link that's how that's
that's how your chain is you're only as
strong as your weakest link so let's make
our chain out of titanium let's pick
these broken these broken links up and
mend them with the palm of our hand
because with the palm of your hand you
can do anything the back of your hand you
can do nothing but destruction if you
want to talk about it it's going to be a
destructive conversation you want to talk
about the palm of your hand it's pink
that's the human race let's talk about
it we're human beings let's start being
human do you believe human beings and
being human are the same thing because
they're not being human you're thinking
of others above yourself human beings
think of themselves before others now
we're supposed to be our brother's
keeper supposed to take care of that
brother and sister okay all you know all
men and women here we look at it this
way you're either my brother from
another mother or my sister from another
mister but guess what you're you're you're
as close to family to me as any other
person because I've come to find out my
family will screw you first okay just
because maybe they didn't like my dad
then they didn't you know wasn't good
about me well does that make me a bad
person no it makes me learn more about
me and the only person I can judge is
myself so I judge myself to be a better
person today than I was yesterday now at
the same time it comes down to I want to
show these people what their abilities
are because every day they're creating
every second of the day there's a
creation going on in their mind we want
to show them that every dream is a
reality right now they're dreaming and
they need a reality so this is the
reality we're stepping up I can make
two feet of material per second I got
15 machines that's 30 feet of material
per second how many seconds do we have
to talk about it before we can afford to
do it that's that's it it's about
multiplicity and that's that's just what
my hands can get my hands on them just
immediately but that's not our total
ability because we do not disability
it's an ability our ability is
worldwide and we have strength in
numbers but it takes people it takes
you if you don't do you know that's
your choice I can't make never make
your mind up for you but you know I
hope you choose to know that if you have
a problem I'm coming whether you're
involved in this one or not I'll still
be coming if you have family members
that are having a problem and I know
about it I'm coming because there is a
solution for those problems but it's
time for us to solve them
absolutely thank you Chris James go ahead
I agree you know it takes a community
it takes an army to be able to solve an
issue especially something of this large
capacity of this large nature so many
people affected I mean I spent months on
land in Lahaina my wife and I my late
wife and I used to have picnics under the
banyan tree I taught my daughter to swim in
Lahaina harbor my daughter and I used to
visit the Lahaina library and all the
devastation that I see the pictures of
that library are not only shocking their
eye-opening as to how easy something
that's been there for years and taken for
granted can just disappear vanish in a
moment in a couple hours all these kids
that are not registered in school where
are they you know what's going on I'm I'm
about ready to hop on a plane get out
there and find out myself it's it's it's
heartbreaking it's heartbreaking when I
look back at the photos of my daughter
when she was what four years old and I was
teaching her swim in the Lahaina harbor with
the Lanai island behind us the water was
beautiful I see that water now and it's
dark it's it's contaminated it's destroyed
and until all that can be cleaned up that
water's going to still be contaminated and
the water's no longer going to be turquoise the
sand is no longer going to be that beautiful
tan color and soft on your feet no there's
going to be oil stuck to your skin when
you walk those beaches for a very very
long time that destruction to our nature
to me is intolerable it hurts I've seen it
firsthand what it's like to live there to
be there to be amongst the people to shop in
the stores to picnic with them to attend
their events not only the tourist events
like the luau's I'm talking the canoe event
every year we were there this is where the
the indigenous people of Maui have to drag
these palm trees palm tree trunks or tree
trunks to the to the beach store next to the
banyan tree and make outriggers just like
the indigenous their forefathers made by hand
with axes hammers whatever they could find
and you know experiencing that culture in
real life in our modern technology world was
amazing to be able to show that to my
daughter for my wife and I to experience it
it was beautiful that's all gone now that's
the heartbreaking part of it the history
it's gone if it's not for the people that
are still there that we can help that we can
help them rebuild that history won't be passed
the grandmothers the grandfathers that died
during the event smoked in their own beds
they didn't even know that like you said
they didn't even know the fire was coming
how many of these families out there didn't
have others to be able to warn them
that slept through it and died through it
that's the heartbreak for me
I mean it's I'm at a loss for words
and for the news to broadcast it so lightly
like if it was oh it was just a fire
oh it's just a volcano eruption
oh it was just this
it's ridiculous
it's ridiculous
now I do want to take this moment to shout out to
Madbull down below
he's a brother
he's a real brother
he's real peeps
he's in this space listening to this
taking the time out of his evening
lives in Phoenix
amazing man
I've learned a lot from him
I've learned a lot about the community
that I've been involved in for the last three years
that I invited most of that community
he's the one here
he's the only one out of that community in this space
and this is a community that I've supported for the last three years
that we're thankful for all my support that I've done
now that I'm asking for a little bit
and that speaks the world about who this man is
thank you for being here
if you want to come up and speak
Uncle Rhino
you're available to speak
if there's anybody else who wants to come in
please just raise your hand
I definitely will bring you back up for the stage
or put some people down to bring some people up
I don't know exactly how that works
just want to say thank you again to everybody
make sure that you guys go check us out
on Hope for Me
if you have some thoughts of an artist
or something that you want to contribute
we are open
we're here to listen
there's a place for everyone in this
thank you for sharing this room
thank you for getting the word out
and Uncle Ryan
to you brother
thank you my love
I wanted to say something
in response
to what our brother with NFT
was talking about
when you're growing up
home is a place
and then when you travel
and you leave home
and you go far far away
to the other side of the world
and you're gone for years
that turn into decades
and then you come back
you realize
is not a place
home never was a place
home is a time
it's a time
who was healthy
was sitting around the table
something that you loved
and everyone liked to eat
was cooking on the stove
with somebody in there
attending to it
that became
one of your favorite songs
was playing on the radio
at that moment
right then
that was home
and you come back
to where home
used to live
and home's not there anymore
but the kicker is
is it never left
you're carrying home
inside you all the time
you're never far from home
because you're carrying it
inside you
you're carrying that time
you're carrying that moment
when home was alive
you carry those seeds
you took one seed
when you left
but when you come back
you have millions
and you have the opportunity
to recreate home
a version of that home
where you want
listening to that
you're 100% right
when you're looking
at the destruction
and everything
that's happened
but that sand
was made by bigger hands
those trees
were planted
by bigger hands
those beautiful people
are powerful people
and those people
will bounce back
we as a people
in entirety
will bounce back
and the kicker is
the trick is
is to make sure
they never forget
and no one forgets
that's how we make
corrections moving forward
and we become better
as a species
as a people
that water
it was here long
before we were
it will be here long
after we are
the planet
can clean itself
and we can dive in
and help it
with all of our heart
we're going to replant
where it used to live
we will rebuild
where it used to blossom
and it will be blooming
and there will be
people that we miss
and that's part of
our responsibility
is to make sure
that those who are not
in those chairs anymore
are not forgotten
with stories
and memories
to share those
with everyone around us
that's part of
replanting those seeds
singular memory
that you have
of the picnic
under the tree
and swimming
with your baby
you've got the opportunity
so many seeds
with so many people
that there will
someday sir
on full display
at someday sir
there will be
a thousand people
teaching their baby
in that same bay
where you did
from your memories
there will be
a thousand picnics
there will be
wedding proposals
there will be
all these things
life is more powerful
is more powerful
than any destruction
that could ever be
will beat this
will reconquer
will retake it
will rebuild it
and the planet
and the creator
will do the rest
of the heavy lifting
and we've just got
to trust in that plan
and all of us
do our small
to keep that ripple
growing into the tsunami
that it's going to be
and I yield
I'm crying
I want to welcome
into the space
welcome brother
want to say hi
to DJ Jedi
down there
that is our brother
Jonah who we spoke
on earlier
opens our newscast
each and every day
thank you to him
and all the work
that him and his teams
are doing there
on the ground
as well as
making and ensuring
the alliances
with other
sisters and brothers
to make this
all possible
so I want to
definitely shout out
him because
without him
this would not
be possible
and welcome
welcome to the space
any thoughts
or any comments
that you want to
share with us
at this time
I just want to
James I want to
say thank you
for the kind words
and to applaud
everybody's here
and trying to
what's been
it's a travesty
and I applaud
each and every
one of you
and your efforts
it's great
bad circumstances
it's a beautiful
and this is
that I love
to see about
I love seeing
this in humanity
and everybody's
concerned about
themselves
thinking about
other people
it's a beautiful
appreciate you
and I applaud
wanted to say
keep up the
great work
keep up the
great work
well thank you
we appreciate
you equally
divine reflection
and I know
appreciates you
who's been
very influential
and always
been a big
brother to
back in the
it doesn't
this point
continue to
the smaller
phenomenal
definitely
so whatever
this feels
however you
see yourself
and assisting
we welcome
the organizer
of disaster
relief recovery
rehabilitation
sustainable
foundation
as well as
other sister
and brother
organizations
either here
listed there
helping us
invite Jedi
I don't know
if he sees me
oh my sister
the building
it's really fun
to see so many
beautiful souls
here in the
every single
now as we're
here on this
with somebody
one of these
these families
these sisters
and brothers
aunties and
and one of
the things
that James
brought up
real thought
one of the
other sources
and resources
that was brought
in this all
is something
called Z Life
and we want
to shout out
Chris Collins
connection as
and that is
and we can
place this
on the land
sustainable
that will be
able to help
so we have
really thought
and we continue
the solutions
World Mobile
offered to
to be able
get people
back connected
there on the
we actually
chief architect
really been
never seen
sisters and
brothers in
we're going
and that's
the beauty
leader above
everything
and that's
what I find
I've never
I've never
move at this
speed if you
will and it
whoever you
believe in
sending masses
angels and
ancestors but
I feel very
very connected
to this whole
tribe as if
we've been
here before
and I know
only is going
sustainable
our sister
our people
this is going
sustainable
any disaster
recovery and
the people
off of the
streets and
into homes
and so this
feels good
and that's
what I want
understand is
that as we
continue to work
together and
find these
solutions and
be these solutions
whether it's
two dollars
five dollars
twenty dollars
whether it's
sharing this
room you can
be part of
that solution
take time to
www.hopeformaui.org
I'm going to
keep drilling
that because
that is where
the action is
at and invite
anybody else to
come on up
co-host has
hopped off to
class and that's
okay so let's
see if welcome
all mom and
any thoughts
that you want
to share with
us here and
welcome to the
space we're
talking everything
hope for Maui as
we rebuild and
we and and
just send all of
our love and
thoughts and
continued works
over to Maui so
welcome oh my
gosh when I saw
that you were
working on this
and that this
was where your
synergy was right
now I was just
like blown away
over the past
two days I've
been doing some
spaces for
bid basil and
they had the
climate change
refugee event out
in New York
City and had a
bunch of people
that were on
the space with
me from we're
all working on
the 17 SDGs
and we did
gender equality
and we've got a
big movement right
now that we're
working on for
Maui and shout
out to catalyst
my one of my
best friends cat
I don't know if
you remember the
night that we
met I was like
let me call my
friend cat so
she's working
directly with a
lot of the
people working
towards Maui and
she was just out
there she was
actually out there
during the fires
on her honeymoon
and she came back
and was devastated
and it was like
okay let's let's
move towards us
let's let's move
towards this so
save the artist is
working on this
there's and I'm
like this is
amazing because now
we can start to
bring even more
people together it's
like when you have
all these pockets
of people you
know that want
to do good
things or that
are doing good
things or you
know or maybe
they haven't got a
chance to help
yet and then you
start to see oh
well if we come
together we're even
more powerful we can
make even more
things happen when I
saw it was you I was
like let's go let's
go so I'm just here
to support and I
can't wait to hear
all about what you
guys are doing and
thank you thank you
so much because the
people that work in
impact guys this is a
hard thing I
started my blockchain
career trying to
work in impact that
was it I was going
to save the world
and I quickly
realized that you
need a lot of money
to do that you
need a very large
network and you've
got to know what
the laws are and
you've got to know
how to vet people
and you've got to
know where these
things go and you've
got to have people
that can verify that
and then you've got
to also not be
intrusive to the
culture and to this
cause and insensitive
and this is a this is
a full it's a full
thing to wrap your
head around it's
not just hey I'm
going to send some
water so here's a
couple cases of
water it's okay how's
it going to get
there who's going to
disperse it is it
going to go to the
right people and how
are you going to
prove to the people
you got it from how
it got there and who
it went to without
being insensitive about
the whole situation so
I just want to give
you guys some love for
doing this and just
bring some attention to
the reality of the
situation and how hard
it is to really make
these changes so just
oh well thank you
mom one of my soul
sisters indeed and
just a beautiful
spirit beautiful soul
so much divine
reflection in her and
all the work that
she's done and
continues to network
and bring so many
beautiful souls
together and yes you
know mom to answer
your question one of
our barges in Long
Beach is ready to go
I think we can add
like one or two more
containers on that I
want to bring some
numbers to you guys
while we're talking
about that each one of
those containers cost
15,000 each day is
30,000 dollars to run
the rigs over and the
barges over now do we
have other resources
like Sea Shepherd from
Australia who wants to
come in and help me do
do we have other people
that want to come in
yes but when it comes to
getting these houses
these frames the things
that we have available we
need you guys to be
able to make this
possible to get these
2,000 houses over there
to make it happen do we
have boots on the ground
people we do shout out
again to Aloha response
team some of you guys
are just coming in and I
have and so you haven't
heard all of our sister
and brother partners in
this space but shout out
to Aloha response team
HHH Jedi Alliance all of
the work that they're
doing their boots on the
ground each and every
single day with their food
kitchens with the passing
out of resources do we
have people to receive
the stuff that we're
sending of course and do
we are we certified and
lessons to go in through
FEMA and everybody else
yes we are can we make
those connections happen
we can so that is the
beauty of hope for Maui is
that we have very
transparent you can go on
the site you can see the
EIA numbers you can read
about all the foundations
and partnering people that
are part of this and the
beauty is in the last five
weeks I've had to learn
about what does it cost to
make a barge happen what
does it cost to get a
container full of solar
panels over there how much
does it cost for solar
panels to go over there
what is electric what is
it take to build houses
what does it take to get
these resources to the
people what do you do when
you're handed 200
mattresses and they need to
go over there where do you
start well we started we're
already doing it we're
already in income now we
just need the continued
support and help to make
this all happen so that is
what hope for Maui is in a
whole and we're going to
continue to build and get
these 2,000 homes and
continue to bring the
resources that are handed
to us right there to the
people that is our honest
promise and our true sister
and brother ship and I
believe as I've said in so
much of this space it takes
us to continue to unify and
do the work if we see a
problem let us be the
solutions let us continue
to unite with people who
are solution-based people
and there is no place for
ego in this I have met the
most heart-centered people
in this space I have met the
most beautiful souls that
will I will continue to
grow with and I will
continue to honor and I
will continue to walk with
and I and I'm proud that I
get to be locked in arms with
so many amazing souls and I
want to bring Matthias in and
we want to welcome Matthias
into the space earlier if
you guys joined us you guys
heard Chris speak on receiving
a phone call from a friend
and over there in Maui who
had just experienced the
fires and I'll let him
explain to you how we got
here and what we're doing and
the continued work that we're
doing but I before we even go
there I want to one I want to
shout out very quickly while
we're in the space so many of
these people mean so much to
me and if you guys know me
it's not about me it's about
we so I want to shout out
Hope Foundation I want to
shout out New Hope
Advocacy I want to shout out
NFT Rescue I want to shout out
Storm Search and Rescue I
want to shout out the Doc
Ellis Foundation Dynamic
Solutions Veterans
Administration I want to
shout out HHH Aloha
Response Team Jedi Council I
want to shout out World
Mobile Solutions I want to
take a moment to shout out
Tech Entertainment Next
Legacy and so many other
people Raven Denia who are my
core team and I want to
shout out all of you for just
being here and on to you
Matthias welcome thank you for
joining us and we're talking
all things Hope for Maui this
started with a phone call from
you my brother so I look
forward to what it is that
you're going to share with our
sisters and brothers tonight
take it away
well thank you it's a pleasure to
be here and also just to let you
know that this is actually I
think my first time really
officially talking on Twitter
spaces so apologies in advance
for any user error for the
interface and everything else like
that even though you know
Clubhouse is yeah I've been a bit
on Clubhouse so yeah I mean I'll
just share briefly you know I've
been here on Maui for like four and
a half years we're up in myself and
partner up in Kula and actually we
are fortunately our house didn't
burn down although a couple several
of our neighbors did and and on
that Tuesday we actually evacuated
because there were about 80 foot
flames about 300 yards away and we
said okay I think it's time to
skedaddle time to go so so yeah so
fortunately you know our home was
and you know where we're staying is
present and and although there was
one house that was directly basically
just down the hill you know
essentially a next-door neighbor that
that did burn down to the ground and
then another at least you're kind of
two within just the immediate area
there was 24 structures that were
burned down in Kula and then of
course 80% of Lahaina as you as I'm
sure you've all known and seen so and
then just yeah just big shout out to
you know you know Aloha you know
rescue team and everything so even
though I'm kind of here on Maui I I
actually I haven't been to Lahaina I I
haven't been quote-unquote boots on
the ground in in terms of the actual
Lahaina relief effort so just to really
clearly distinguish I mean when you're
Lahaina it's about hour and a half
drive away but I have actually not been
there and basically been in Kula but
had the opportunity to make some some
key connections so one of those is
actually someone who Chris introduced me
to Orion and he it's funny because I got
this big huge box I wasn't even sure what
it was it was super heavy and I finally
realized what it was it was the zeolite
that Chris said that he would have sent
to me and so after that we had a number
of good conversations with his collaborator
and contact Orion who's in in New Jersey
and essentially zeolite is a naturally
occurring mineral and he actually he has
the highest quality apparently that the
highest quality one on the planet that at
least that I'm aware so what does that
mean and what why is that important well
basically right now the current plan for
let's say the rebuilding effort is to
scrape and and I heard this from EPA guy
who is doing some cleanup around here is to
after the the household waste has been
identified and removed which I think that
that has been done here in Kula I'm not
sure the status in Lahaina then they the
Army Corps of Engineers would take a
bulldozer and scrape anywhere between one
to six inches of soil plus the you know the
ash and scrape that off let's say all of
where it got burned in Lahaina and then put
it somewhere and then rebuild so as you can
imagine this is creating two problems where
there was just one problem because what you
do with the stuff that's pretty toxic who
knows so the this is where zeolite comes
in it actually has the ability according to
our Orion it saved his life by the way from
arsenic poisoning and so it can remediate
uranium and heavy metals and so what that
means is is that it could be possible to
remediate do the remediation pretty much on
site without having to scrape up the stuff
and then have you got two problems to deal
with so we're still at the beginning stages of
kind of determining what that could look like
and you know connecting with people who've done
soil testing and things like that but it's it's
quite I think exciting in terms of the
possibility of the potential to of what can
happen when we use solutions that aren't
necessarily you know that are maybe outside
of the box but are definitely scientifically
proven to work and so then your next question
you might think is okay well how would that
work and I mean I could get into detail if you
want but short answer is is that you basically
you create both the testing for the ash and
then testing for the inches like dig down use a
little coffee scoop to like bloop get get a
little sample dig down another inch get another
sample and then that way you can tell how where
the toxicity is how much it's toxic and then how
far it's kind of seeped into the ground so because
of this you could essentially be fairly accurate in
terms of how much for example of zeolite that you
would need in order to do a remediation based on what's
there and so you're not using too much so this and this
could be anywhere from let's say one part one to one or
potentially less again it depends upon the testing so the
idea is is that you would do the testing you'd know it's
there and then you can essentially get a clear
understanding of what is you know and then you do you
essentially have a sample you put in a little bag with
zeolite and you kind of roll it around there and then do
the test and well if you if you're not testing any heavy
metals and you don't pick it up then you you're pretty
confident based on the soil test that it worked so that's
that's the overall the you know what could be the approach
that could save a lot of time a lot of money and also this is
the cool thing is the zeolite doesn't just do things like
remediate heavy metals and uranium and all this stuff it
actually enhances the soil so according to again according to
um uh orion that um it's possible to with with an application of
zeolite on the soil you could increase plant growth on
average of 25 percent uh you can decrease the time it would
take to mature those plants by 25 percent and it would also
decrease the amount of water needed by 30 percent so you know in terms of
the idea of what what could it be like to let's say for example restore the
moku ula and the 17 acre fish pond um and then restart or re or like re
regenerate the ahupua that is already there in lahaina um it seems like this
um this mineral could be a phenomenal ally uh to this so i'll land for there uh i
don't know what you say here on twitter when you're finished but i'll land my
plane uh and if you have any questions happy to answer them thank you complete
you know you you covered a lot to that and i loved it
because that's the one thing this is a natural mineral thing that is created
from earth we don't put nothing in it all we do is mine it out and we deliver
it now i'm trying to do 200 000 acres in utah that is uranium
uh contaminated we're trying to get a soil sample of it but what we're going to do
first is we're going to fly over it and we're going to dust it just like you
would crop dust we're going to crop dust two thousand two hundred thousand acres of
land because the animals will not get hurt from this you can pick it up and eat it the fda
has already approved it this is a product that will continue for the entire life of the ground
being better it will always clean up the contaminants that hit the ground
and it produces oxygen while it's doing it so it is a wonderful product i'm very thankful and grateful
that it's part of uh the plan to to change what's going on in this world and the contaminations that
are everywhere and to have the earth make something that that can take an oil spill or gasoline and
and fix it and get rid of it out of the water out of the out of the ground this is a beautiful thing
and and i'm grateful that we're maybe having the opportunity here to to change all these people's
mind that's on a one-man directive here to to pretty much cause destruction when when you take
that top layer of soil off and you move it to another place you have contaminated another place
there's nowhere you're going to take it well let's just put it in a tumbler let's put some stuff in it
and let's fix it let's put it back let's put it back on the ground that's the key behind this so
i do appreciate all of what you just said um and i know that you've been been getting drilled with the
with the research of everything and how to do it and and just know this is the igniter when i spoke
earlier this was my ignition i've been looking for him thing is he found me and when he found me
i wasn't lost anymore because i had a little direction because all i did was stop talking
about what he wanted to talk about we didn't talk about what he wanted to talk about as soon as i found
out where he was at that discussion ended but it was what happened in one day because that was the day
the next morning i got a hold of seba and everything that she thought she was going to do
she had no clue how her life was going to change and the direction and the selflessness i want people to
understand we've done all this with no money we've got the houses we got the trailer frames if they
want them on trailer frame we we've got everything everything the solar everything and it can be delivered
but this is where it takes money and this is where we ain't heard anything from the government about
wanting to do anything but to have 200 acres that's over a billion dollars and worth donated to give back
to the indigenous people it made me listen that was the first day okay within 24 hours it wasn't even 24
hours under 24 hours that land was was put in place okay we went to action now this was about three days
after the fire but if you notice we were told we couldn't go live and do anything
by the weekend it was on tuesday nothing is impossible it's impossible but i can't do it alone it takes teamwork
that's the period behind that okay it takes we not me it's not me in no way shape or form is it me
i am just a part i play a part okay we all have a part to play in this masterpiece that we're going to create
no part too small we need them all
okay none too small we don't i'm not you don't have to give up money share share share if you share
i'm telling you the multiplicity of you actually reaching the people you shared to and you get
them to share be legitimate be make them be accountable are they your friends what do they mean
what does that mean do they believe in what you believe in if not maybe they need to maybe you need
to understand there's a lot out there that you don't know but there's a lot that you can know
and you will continue to grow as you learn and get in these conversations thank you all for being here
every one of you you could be anywhere right now and you're right here that means the world
to me you know i i am not the richest man and far way way way far from it but i am inside
because of those thank yous because of the appreciation from the people that i have
interacted with in my life because my life is my life i only have one and i only want to be able to do
as much as i possibly can with it it is not about sitting around it's not about me just building up a
bank account and letting it sit around it's not about that you know you need to understand i'm doing
this right now and i just got fined seven thousand three hundred and sixty dollars for my city for helping
the homeless veterans elderly and women last year you know and at the same time i was getting fined
a month prior before that i won a national award from hud for helping more people in a community
that's ever been helped in history that was a national award you know i was proud of it but then i got
smacked in the head in october got that in september but then here i go the end of november comes and i get
smacked again but the beginning of december whacked me whacked me because it made me come to a realization
that i can't save everyone but i can save someone that's what gets me up every day because
i lost someone i lost my son and i lost my son because of the failure of the system
and all i've tried to do is repair those problems
and it's time for us to solve them and i'm a man of action i will show you what i've done
but the thing is is it's not about what i've done it's what we're gonna do i've done what i've done
so we can do what we're gonna do that's the beautiful thing we don't have to go and experiment
no more i built the greenest built home in america in 2011 in the middle of the woods with cordless
screw guns to prove i could do it in any jungle on the planet
with five people that never built anything in their life and he was deemed the best built home
in the city by every building inspector i got a congressional endorsement hand delivered to
president obama it's on my instagram the difference is is that letter meant nothing
meant nothing but it didn't stop me it was what i was told to do congress told me in 2007 to prove
all my theories to be a fact well that was after i built a home where the eye of the storm came across
with hurricane katrina in 2006 july of 2006 there was a home built right where the eye came across
for hurricane katrina saves eleven thousand dollars a year in insurance versus the wooden one next door
to it rest of rest of that gulf coast is still destroyed trust me go take a ride you'll see
it's not rebuilt okay start paying attention then i went to cedar rapids i showed them how to build
their city green because they had a city full of mold and i found it a year afterwards but the
difference is is they started thriving after that when this when the state and the federal government
passed they'll pay up to 55 000 or 56 000 a year mortgage and you don't have to pay it back
if you build it green because they had a city full of mold because they boarded up their houses
people did not know how to recover from disasters so 2009 i built a commercial building out of
recycled material from hurricane katrina i left it open from october of 2009 to may of 2010 with no roof
no siding on it in the midwest winter had 14 inches of snow on the ground many times
that thing's beautiful that building didn't go anywhere didn't move we put siding on it that building's worth a lot of
money i did it for almost nothing but it was the point i had to prove my theories to be a fact well the fact
was is i could walk away and come back and finish it if it was made of wood we'd had to tear it down
so i was trying to get people to pay attention and i went to nashville i showed the 25 people how to
go to home in 30 minutes or less we did 17 000 homes in 60 days look it up look it up don't take my word
for it look it up look it up the difference is is i asked 25 people to go show 25 people what i just
showed them that gets back to me sharing share if you can't do anything else share and that will empower
this group this this little thing will start to grow people will start to come in they will start
to grow they'll start to share now we've got a communication now how many people are going to
come off and listen if you are listening are you paying attention it's the only free thing you get
in life and you get the most out of it what value do you get when you have a conversation it doesn't
need to be a confrontation let's get this figured out you guys are wonderful i'm just so thankful
and grateful that you're here and i just want to have some conversation i want to see and hear
what you have to say because this is not about me this is about we we are a group we're here for a
reason let me hear it thank you
well we guys want to thank you chris and a big thank you to chris collins founder of hope for
habitat as well as um i yesterday or the day before i uh received the home the plans the the structures
the frames um that's bella saying hello to everyone um the frames for the the homes and um just
seeing the blueprint of it all to bring it all the work that we've been doing to see it and know
that um with the permitting there and what is uh you know what we can do there in maui how we can
start to rebuild these communities and make it a reality as soon as possible uh all the permitting and
all the things that we needed to know um we have it down to the t it's ready to go the uh the frames are
ready to go solar panels are ready to go everything is ready to go what we need now is your help uh to
continue to raise the donations that are necessary i believe in unity i believe that there are enough
sisters and brothers even in this space that we can get this word out and we can continue to raise
these funds i want to thank uncle ryan rhinosaur as well and uh you guys can make a donation if you'd
like to see the live streaming concert this saturday uh it is a donation now based uh concert series
that have been running free uh since the beginning of august as chris had mentioned earlier we did
start the live broadcast within the first week uh so tuesday we got the call by saturday we uh went
live to address the public with jonah lyon and others there from maui and lahaina and continue to
give the news each and every day um at our website hope for maui live streaming us on roku and other
platforms next legacy um and we're just really grateful we're grateful because the word is
getting out we've had so many people uh and we're going to continue to get the press release out we're
going to get the you know really start beefing this up so that we can continue to supply and get those
homes over there and bring more resources sustainable resources uh conscious works at hand um so it does
take all hands on deck make sure you guys check out www.hope4maui.org that's where you can make a
donation check out the concert series news um and get updated on everything that's going on
and uh it's going to continue to grow it's going to continue to be amazing i'm honored and blessed each
and every day um each second of this my faith is stronger um and and i'm grateful to stand with
the people of maui um with lahaina with hawaii and i'm grateful just you know matthias as well and so
many other people that have made this possible uh also want to shout out to one of our good friends
here nessie um another artist that's in the space also a phenomenal nft artist and and amazing talent
um also want to shout out halitopia for being in the space my uh sustainable partners um and jordan
and so many other people that are here thank you guys if you guys have any questions or thoughts at
this point um yes i see a hand up let me go back over here to mad bull uh yes mad bull uh the floor is
yours miss uh miss chavez i got a question for you i heard you say something and kind of i kind of
kind of distracted but i heard you made mention of air nodes and um
aerostats then i heard you shout out world mobile did they got something going on in maui
that you know of yes so world mobile is actually one of our partners here uh at hopeformaui.org
um world mobile has offered uh to bring in uh their internet if you guys know anything about world
mobile you guys can go check world mobile.io out right now uh it is sustainable um reaching
sustainable uh areas and areas uh tanzania for instance mobilize them to have internet other
places and locations around the world they have offered to come in and bring our air nodes in as
well as a blimp that would over uh pretty much hang over maui to uh equip us with immediate and
emergency internet and then uh provide internet and mobile solutions there to the island yes so to
answer your question yes we are honored and blessed and please believe they are not the only most there
it's been so many amazing sisters and brothers um in this and i every day you know as i onboard
another partner or another donor or another sponsor i am floored i'm honest god i'm such in a state
of gratitude for not only the people of maui and lahaina but just to know that we they are not
alone they're not alone there is a world out here of people and you guys are those people and so i'm
grateful to announce that yes world mobile solutions is actually one of our partners thank you
are there any other questions i can take at this time
yeah i wanted to uh piggyback on the world mobile world mobile has been building on the
cardano ethos for um the three years that i've been with the cardano ethos ecosystem
world mobile has been involved in creating connectivity and throughout africa
uh they're an amazing organization i've been following them for a couple years now and uh
you know being able to to see world mobile involved with the maui project was was very heartwarming
um being of the community it's it's been built on or building on um and expanding so to uh to let
you know mad bull yeah i brought um world mobile i brought maui's uh project hope for maui project
to the attention of world mobile at the uh rare evo event and just so happens uh james was uh going
to be in maui from europe um and was able to actually uh meet with our team on the ground uh there
and uh actually see what we're doing and that's when uh world mobile stepped in and it'd be great
that if the entire community were to know this it would be an amazing thrust for the hope for maui
campaign uh within the cardano ecosystem and i would there's nothing more that makes me happy
is to see the ecosystem that i've been in for so many years get involved and it needs to get involved
and i'm doing my best to get it involved and i know mad bull uh your reach is amazing you know in
business i've learned the six degrees of separation every six people we know we know that one seventh
person that can really make change happen and it's just being able to reach out no matter
you know if it's just a retweet it doesn't matter if it's just a direct message or an email
you know we all have that six degrees of separation that connectivity to to make change happen and that's
why we're all here to to make change in the lives of those who need it and that's what the foundation of
why i built nft rescue was to bring change to people not only in communities but also
those who need from the communities and that six degrees of separation is very very powerful
andy i'm sorry i've got to jump in on this guys like you're really i'm over here in the dms i've
probably dm'd maybe five or six um hosts that host different shows um across the ecosystem and
people are hesitant right people are people are hesitant to get involved in impact and that can be
something that it's almost like we're trying to change the narrative here in the cryptocurrency
space specifically because we're all here together right like when you think about some of the different
opportunities that people had before there was no way to really interact with whatever it was that
you were doing and here it's like we can be right next to each other you know we can be like yo you
know nessie is performing at this you know this live stream this weekend you go and you donate and
nessie can talk to you like all week in your spaces and then you show up and he's there performing like
there's just different opportunities that you don't get from the way that things were done before that
you do get now and so just grateful to see all of the people that are here in the room shout out to
creaturis man love you too american crypto academy is in here and klaus and crypto bag trav um i know
klaus is with the chia community they are absolutely incredible um i'm sure that he would love to love to
learn more about what you guys have going on and there are so many communities out here that would be
down to support this if they knew what was happening so please guys share this with your
friends send this to some people that you know that are impactful um i love that you just talked
about how impactful your nfts can be uh bit basil right now has the crypto art impact challenge going
on and um that can put your nft on the moon um i've got one going up november 15th and i'm stupid
excited and there's more there's more going up and we're going to use these for impact we're driving
these sdg goals we're driving for change driving for voices driving to shine light like this is just
this is what it's really about so i'm glad that i'm here and i'm glad that i can share this with the
people that i know and love well thank you mom and we thank you and man you're just a rock star you
know in so many ways i just honor you and everything that you do and you know you have my full support
um i had the opportunity last year to be a keynote speaker um there at bit basil and i saw the impact
that it had and was able to meet so many beautiful people that are even in this space now um you know
all mom had a took miami by storm with my keys as i advise the city of miami arts and entertainment
culture board uh for the last three years and um you know miami is definitely one of my homes
definitely have a 305 area code if you know my phone number personally uh but at you know i want to i
want to bring it back to one of the most beautiful experiences and that's that we have these social
media platforms and networks um for me everything to me seems to be about one to two people away at this
point and you know it takes all of us to continue to work together this hope for maui.org um it's up
now uh we are accepting i i believe are we accepting um crypto or any of the coins um nft rescue there
would be a question for you
sorry i was on mute here um actually yes i have a receive address uh registered with nft
rescue on every major coin on the chains everything from uh bitcoin all the way down
to algorand um and even down way further than that to tezos and i'm i have addresses for every single
crypto uh currency out there that would come directly into nft rescues wallet um at that point
um my cfo um is able to um produce the necessary documents to present to the irs that we are
needing to convert that crypto into fiat currency in order to be able to fund what needs to be funded
and as a non-profit charity 501c3 digital assets are digital assets we're able to accept them
we're able to provide credits for them um and we're able to do the necessary exchanges to make
stuff happen we don't necessarily have to use crypto to fund we can fund in fiat we can accept
crypto and fund in fiat so yes we're capable of doing that thank you thank you james and and i thought
we were okay go ahead i thought uh who just on mic i did holy cow okay so when you were talking about
that i was about to kind of explain a little bit on how there are very very very few people that have
done what you've done and put everything into action to be able to describe it in that way so
that you can make these things happen so um it would be really helpful if you could maybe write up a
short tweet on that and um allow people to understand that they can donate that way and
the process and how it works um i know a lot of people that do accept crypto they don't um they
don't immediately give them the tax id number and so some people in the ecosystem are hesitant
so if you could put that together that would be really helpful for me and my resources
yeah all mom uh my tax id is on my twitter bio um i also have um actually what i can do is
if anybody in the space can help me create a link tree um we can put all those addresses on a link tree
and put the link tree link directly on anyone's bio um use the link tree link uh for all crypto
donations i just i'm not a tech guy uh i do have i just sacrificed my blue tech this week and changed
my bio so i'm down for throwing a link tree up there to help you guys support your cause um so i don't
make link trees but i don't know maybe ivan down there at american crypto academy uh maybe he can
he can help us out with some direction i have an announcement that james and our in core team
doesn't know it yet but ihero.app if you guys go to ihero.app um you'll see it's registered as of
tomorrow um they're actually uh taking over the space um and going to make sure that the people
that need the help get the help as well as uh influencers and so many of the people that are
in this space need to be over here ihero.app i am grateful and honored to uh add them as a partner
so we're not going to be doing link tree anymore we're going to actually move on over
to ihero and that's exactly what we all are heroes and heroines and so i'm really excited to announce
that and it's kind of you know one of those things the present is the honor and the gift right

tricky tricky welcome to the space is there anything that you wanted to share with us tonight or any
thoughts that you have questions i'm here hey fam it's tricky buddha from defy space donkeys if you know
you know but anyway i'm uh yeah i'm just here for a good time i also i heard about that uh about the
link tree and i had a buddy who made a new version of link tree uh you you mentioned another alternative
so i put my hand down but uh but i had a friend who made a another version of link tree called slink
s link s l i n key k and it's just like link tree but it's unlimited um and we know the dev so i was
just gonna say um it's a better option but absolutely it's good to have a uh you know something like that
or a website that you can link to and throw all your bios you know towards that one that one site for
traffic and then have all your custom links there that's a that's a great idea so definitely do that
regardless of which uh which site you use you definitely want to have that
okay thank you tricky did you have any thoughts or um questions for us in regards to maui
uh no not not really uh i have i have family um that are in hawaii and so i'm paying attention
uh luckily they weren't harmed um and you know but um but um but it's it's yeah it's a travesty of
you know what's going on right now basically a land grab on top of this travesty at the same time
like uh yeah i it's kind of disgusting but um my you know my thoughts are my thoughts are with them
and any way i can help anyone in maui i'm down
thank you tricky well you can definitely help us by getting the word out um if you guys join us at
www.hope4maui number so it's hope the number for maui.org can also follow us on all social media
platforms again um no donation is too little or too big um as we continue to rebuild maui
um this is a sustainable plan for our now into our future for the next five years to 10 years to get
maui um back and and to make it better than it's ever been before and we continue to work with
indigenous people of maui and we will continue to work with so many phenomenal leaders we've had a
lot of the native american leaders and leadership um from burning man that came in and shared also
what's going on in other parts of the nation and other things that we've seen uh so many people
understand that this is a prophecy um that has been known for a long time that a date like this
would come and we believe really that maui is that mecca to what we need to see consciously and
sustainably for our planet and so um seeing all these beautiful forces aligned you know i i want to
again share with some of you guys who might have just joined us or are just coming in uh it really
is a collective of people um and uh we want to shout out you know storm search and rescue we want to
shout out dynamic solutions hope foundation new hope advocacy doc ellis foundation hhh um hawaii aloha
uh response team we want to shout out jedi council we want to shout out uh tech attainment next legacy
um and uh hope for maui is uh the channel uh is up hope is up on venimo now i'm i am streaming llc
also you can check all of the content out on youtube or just by going to our page so thank you guys um
nft rescue james looks like you hand your hand up any thoughts yes sir yeah i just wanted to uh
piggyback on this uh link tree and the derivatives of link tree i mean we can we can list on all of
them and put all those links in our bios i mean it doesn't have to be oh i gotta pick s link or i gotta
use link tree no we can use all of them i mean the the more we we list on there the more capabilities
the more eyes we put on all this stuff uh way better another uh thing i want to add is to shout
out to lollipop uh she's down below as listener she's an amazing cardano artist um she's uh been
very supportive of nft rescue through the time we've been building on there so thank you lollipop for
joining the space and once again mad bull thank you for uh coming up and speaking um like i said it's
it's six degrees of separation you know it's just a simple dm to people you know uh talking on a
different space about what you just heard on this space sharing it out that six degrees of separation
will contact that one seventh person that can really make an impact so i also want to take a
moment to thank everybody in this space if you guys want to connect with nft rescue it's easy
google nft rescue that's it we're everywhere we're everywhere from linkedin down to twitter to
youtube to we're on all of it you want to reach out to me dm on any of those channels and it'll come
to me um if not just james at nftrescue.org uh you can go to our website as well um if you want to
contact and help me develop uh that six degrees of separation and get the hope for maui out as
much as we possibly can i could definitely use the help so i appreciate it thank you everybody here much
love thank you james um i want to read the four pillars of hope that has come out of this now this
is part of our media training as well as if you were to understand um if you were to put yourself
one-on-one with me in a room um and we were to have a conversation as far as to what hope for maui
means um this is what we've come up with as a team and as a collective the global narrative
emphasize the global narrative of indigenous rights versus colonialism as specifically playing
out on maui while connected to the history of the whole earth heart to heart is present heart to
heart testimonies and truth telling from the people and survivors on the ground in maui
in trauma-informed journalistic container hawaii's story hawaii's story and the outcome of this event
is linked to the fate of humanity and the planet as told in many prophecies this is a moment of truth
and pivot point caring for the people and restoring sovereignty and reclaiming of indigenous rights
local alignment funding and participation in aligned local action on maui is a portal to global
redemption here are the pathways to unity anyone can participate in fundraisers concerts the building
of shelters local food forests and indigenous economies and those are the four pillars of hope
please join us at hopeformaui.org if there's anybody who wants to give any closing remarks we want to thank
everybody for spending some time with us and please feel free to reach out to any of us here in the space
and we'll continue to do the work and we'll have more twitter spaces we got a shout out shorter
for reminding us to come in and do this uh x space and um just thank you all thank you all for being who
you are thank you for even sending prayers well wishes whatever it is that you can contribute we thank
you and we will we will soon we have about 17 days 18 days now before um those people who are placed in
the hotels will be asked to then leave and once again continue to try to rebuild some sort of
normality we still have many people who are without homes do not know where their loved ones are
um again we dealt with uh not only water fire uh wind so cash uh you know just so many different
elements that came into play here and um we're still they're still uncovering many bodies we've
heard of bodies being washed up to different neighboring islands we have a lot of credible
sources we've seen a lot of pictures we've shared a lot of the news um on a continuous basis and we'll
continue to bring you guys the most updated information um and we'll continue to do the work
there in lahaina we want to shout out our teams you know our aloha maui response team hhh we want
to shout out you know jedi uh uh there the jedi council that's helping us as well and um all the
local charities pacific uh birth charity as well and um we're just really really honored and grateful
for everybody's support in the space partners sisters and brothers and however you see yourself
helping please reach out if you have any questions i'm available uh chris collins is available we're
available we're here to help and answer and get you guys the questions that you need i think you'll
be very impressed in the transparency that's there and um the availability for people to be part of
this solution uh we look forward to building these 2,000 homes and getting them over there
uh with the angel swiftness and uh with that chris collins or uncle ryan would you like to take us home
well actually i see dr t just came in the room and it'd be nice to invite her up um
because she's part of this you know we we wound up having a discussion she's one of my board members
but wound up having a discussion and just ask her she was so in to being there for the children
uh in maui she is a curriculum writer she's just an amazing amazing woman and
i wanted to make sure that she raise your hand dr t come on up here say hello center invite
all right um invite let's do it again hey and i'll encourage anybody in here to
please um please make sure you're following some of these people that you have
heard mentioned um when you're transitioning on different social media platforms and when you're
somebody that works in this ecosystem and you're not on social media on a regular basis
um it's hard for people to understand how important you are and what you do
so like i just i just shot um theresa follow and i've shot you guys all follows up here that are
working on this and um it's just important that they see somebody's name tied to it that they can
recognize so when we invite these people to our spaces they know oh hey look this person you know
they only follow people that are they're legitimate and so it just really it really helps with the
movement like they're the simplest things that you guys can do um when they do get this i was
going to say link tree but it's a what is it i hero the i hero link up um when they get that link up
and you guys see that tweet turn on your notifications for hope for maui turn them on
for the people you hear speaking and just drop them a comment um ivan from american crypto academy
he's always like make sure you're bookmarking things because that really helps people get some
traction out here um take their post if you're in a space and you guys are talking about something
relevant you have the opportunity to post it up in the space like this really is these are simple
things that can be done you wake at night and you say how can i help how can i what can i do
like i'm here i want to change the world i want to do something different like but you don't feel
like you can well that first time that you do and it's something so simple and then all of a sudden
you see the reaction from that or you see just one thing happen or maybe you don't see anything
happen at all that's okay too because that's that's the part of all of this that is why we still
do it and why it takes so many of us but anyway yeah just rant over sorry all mom ted talk
don't apologize we thank you all mom you are one in eight billion for sure um so welcome dr theresa we
want to welcome new hope advocacy um another sister um and again a board member as well to chris and
dr theresa is one of our mothers at least for me in the space she keeps me level had very many days
so i'm grateful and honored to uh welcome dr theresa uh to the stage welcome dr t and um anything you
want to share with us the stage is yours
well i don't have a lot to share i just wanted to say that this is an amazing amazing group uh this is
my first time on uh spaces so uh my first experience and i'm glad i'm i'm honored and i'm
grateful that it is for hope for maui because there's no better opportunity to speak out than
for for this the mission to save these people and provide housing and supports and services for these
individuals who have at no fault of their own been displaced and have gone through trauma and
i'm just really grateful to be a part of that and i'm just gonna go ahead and pass my mic there but
god bless every one of you who are on this call and i hold all of you up in my prayers
you know um i want to give you a little bit of history about what she's just went through
because she's one of the victims of the hurricane and that just hit in tallahassee and up through
georgia because she lives in georgia and you know people need to understand that there's more
devastation inland from the water than there is along the coast and you know when i make my trip
down through there i'm going to be inland when i'm doing this because i'm going to go right up through
that path but the thing is is i want to get those people in the community realizing what they can be
doing because i got factories right down the street okay they need to realize that it's right down the
street they can pull their trailer with their truck down to my place and not only get their house
they get maybe two or three more and bring them back come on now this is where we're supposed to be
not only doing something for one person we're supposed to be doing something for all so we keep
everybody in mind okay and because this hurricane hit it did not stop what we were doing to mali
what there is is we've got eight billion people on this planet can we reach them how many people do you
know how many people do they know are they real enough to reach out to those people are they real
enough to do one common goal that's it one common goal
i did want to add one more thing if i could if if you or somebody you know is looking for
housing and and chris you bring up a huge point there is money available for people to renovate
or tear down and rebuild and they could rebuild their home with money left over if they would do it
through chris but i wanted to add to that as well realtors there's an opportunity and seba and chris
we might need to have a conversation because there's an opportunity for realtors to provide
donations to hope for maui or nft rescue some of the some of these non-profits here um as part of a
service so it doesn't take money out of their pocket it gives them a tax deduction um and it and it
it's for anybody all over america so uh that i definitely think that that might be something
we want might want to look at to put a little bit more help toward housing these individuals as well as
that the individuals here in valdasta the cleanup here is ongoing um it is a total mess to be honest with
you still and that's been what two and a half weeks two weeks ago i guess today um so at any rate i did
want to add that uh to to the options available to providing a little bit more money to help these
people that need housing and i'll i'll pass them right there theresa do you mind explaining or chris um
any of you do you guys mind explaining to some of the people in the room that aren't super familiar
maybe with donating to causes and how that works for them on their taxes because a lot of people
don't understand what it does for you
sure i'll i can step in on that thank you i can't advise i cannot advise tax advice because i'm not a tax
tax preparer or a tax accountant or a tax attorney but what i can say is from personal experience
you can donate up to 50 of your gains or of your taxable gains as donations and be able to receive
that as credits towards the liability that you owe the irs and that's done through itemization
but one thing i'm going to stress is talk to your tax preparer talks to your accountant you know nfts
in the nfp world people don't understand that nfts are assets no matter what you paid for them
regardless of market value what you paid for them is the asset of an nft it's a digital asset the irs
deems nfts as real property just like your car your house your clothing when you clean out your garage
and take that junk to goodwill you get a piece of paper that's a real property donation that you can
deduct from the money that you owe the irs at the end of the year and it's on a year by year basis
so nft rescue is just that i'm there to rescue these nfts of people that purchase these nfts
that today have a zero market value and real property according to the irs in the united states
is tax deductible of 60 of that value so if you invested a hundred dollars in an nft
you can deduct 60 off the taxes you owe from working your job at mcdonald's or working your job
anywhere else when at the end of the year you have to pay taxes on the money you made
you can deduct that from the money you owe the irs so even if you donate whether it be cash whether
it be nfts or whether it be crypto that's tax deductible and that's what and why i built my
foundation is to be able to bring new fiduciary resources to the causes that need it and be able
to help those who invested poorly into projects or invested poorly into crypto and have losses that
now they can recoup 60 percent of through a taxation credit so that's it in a nutshell as to why i built
what i built the business model that i created in order to raise these resources for causes all over
the world hope for maui all the causes orphanages um uh organizations that even rescue horses i do horse
rescues i do um rescues with um the hunger campaigns i do rescues for the homeless i do rescues in all
kinds of ways i'm here to change lives i'm not here to get rich in fact i give away 85 percent of
everything i collect because i don't have that huge overhead like say goodwill does with all these
brick and mortar stores all over the place and offices i don't need to keep you know what is it
the irs requires that a non-profit organization only give away 15 percent of what they collect
the rest of it stays in their pockets i'm here to disrupt philanthropy with my project
because my overhead is online overhead it's working online and getting the true resources that makes
life change and with blockchain you can prove that life change to the donor when you give money to say
saint jude sure that's a tax credit great but what did saint jude really do with those 50 dollars you
sent or those 100 you sent where to go what happened no all you see are these blanket you know videos and
stories about what they do and they're multi-million if not in the billions by now organizations that receive
millions of dollars a year well if they could give away 85 percent 65 percent how much more
life change could they actually do compared to what only the irs requires you to give away 15 it's
it's um astronomical of what we can do with blockchain technology and with this new world this wild west
of cryptocurrency and this wild west of nft technology it's just a matter of finding and learning and
hearing about it but there aren't spaces out there teaching about it and that i would like to change
as well is to bring that awareness to what these things can do and unlock the power of nfts for charity
with charity and that's that's my goal with this so that's in a nutshell you get a tax deduction
talk to your tax accountant or your tax preparer itemize your expenses and deduct what you donate
it's not like you're giving away money and never seeing it again no you're giving away money and you're
recouping it by putting against money you've already earned elsewhere that's why for real estate agents
every time they sell a house their commissions are awesome but they got to pay taxes astronomical taxes
at the end of the year by donating not only are they helping a cause by building a home for someone
who doesn't have one but at the same time they're recouping what they donated through their taxation
credits because they have to pay those to uncle sam so why not give the money to someone who needs a home
instead of giving it to uncle sam you get the credit in return but like i said i'm not a tax
account i can't advise anyone in particular situation talk to your tax preparer your tax
accountant they'll be able to advise you exactly what you need to do because from what i understand
if you donate more than what you can deduct that carries over to the following year as well
and that's awesome too huge benefits out there huge benefits for donating to to the right causes that
make real life change do your own research that's what i say
i have a question do you guys want uh like 15 t-shirts or super super soft 25 t-shirts do you think
like soft t-shirts are more critical
i wear my soft t-shirts more than i wear my uh regular t-shirts i'll tell you that i like soft
t-shirts that's what i'm thinking it's like let's go like with high quality that's what i'm thinking
that's all yeah yeah i would think you know the and this is the beautiful part right is think about
something warm and fuzzy and how good that makes you feel or something yummy on your skin especially after
you've been you know through some of the worst experiences you'll ever experience right we've
this has been a very empathetic heartfelt community that has come together and i'll honestly tell you
there's been times that i felt like humanity i didn't know where it was i didn't know where we were
um we all know mental health was the third thing that came out of the pandemic right and so when i think
about everything and i think about even being a thriver myself you know in life and uh so many
veterans that are part of this organization as well and you know so many people we want to help heal
and so if a yummy warm cotton t-shirt can heal somebody then yes let's do it let's continue to
do the work off mom how are you feeling did you feel um did you how was uh you know was your question
answered um yeah um it really well i already kind of knew because i lost 40 000 in solana nfts a couple
years ago and i didn't realize um what i could do to um mitigate some of that tragedy um so yeah i knew
a little bit and so i was hoping that that's where the direction you were going to go the other thing is
i kind of feel a call to action to um just contact a few of the people in my hometown i don't
i don't do anything really that isn't in crypto anymore like i i feel like my whole world is here and
just thinking about i know several of the realtors here in town and some of the real estate companies
and like maybe it gives me a reason just to get out of the house first and foremost and not just
focus totally on this but um tricky when you were talking about like when you said that i laughed for
a second and then i was like damn a warm hug like i remember being in florida and i was there um 2003
2004 we had like four hurricanes in a row and i would go south and it would go south i would go north
it would go north i was traveling a lot then and living down there and i went almost i would say three or
four months that summer with no water or no electric or no um just the basic things you
couldn't leave the house after six o'clock you didn't have gas to go anywhere anyway um everything
was flooded i can and i can just it just took me back to number one the fear of what what am i gonna do
or like how does this get fixed um and that was something that um i was young wild and free so i
can't imagine just can't imagine what a lot of these families are really going through you have to put
yourselves in their shoes you have to literally put yourself in their shoeless feet um how many of
these families you know left their house in the middle of the night and had nothing um how many of
these families left with a book bag thinking okay we'll just take you know our photo albums we'll
just take like the most important things um and now they don't have the basic needs that they have
or if they do have the basic needs that they have say they have a toothbrush and toothpaste but
they don't have clean water to drink um it's just the simplest things that you don't think about
just walk through your house and whatever it is that you do that day that gives you comfort
or cleanliness or peace of mind um the people that have none of that or very little so yeah it's just um
soft t-shirts absolutely and anyone in this room if you guys know people that can get the voice out
please do and let's um let's do this i know american crypto academy has a space um in the mornings
they're up earlier than me 9 9 30 in the morning they start their space i'm hardly ever there um but
they but ivan is always there and he's behind the academy uh pfp down there so if any of you guys want
to stop in there tomorrow morning um and just talk about this space i'm sure he will be talking about
it tomorrow morning and uh we work with people like sarson funds and um i love that dr t i love that you
write curriculum they just worked on writing curriculum and for the state of wyoming and so
they've done a lot of really legit things they have some amazing connections so the space is small in
the morning but you can maybe um stop in there and just say hi and support ivan if he if he has a chance
to share um in the morning and just one space at a time one voice at a time one dm drop some comments
on this space guys this space was recorded um i sent it to several people in the dms and i just
said hey play the space back um if you are not familiar with twitter spaces there are actually
more people in the room than what you guys will see right now there are people on the pc that
sometimes you won't see any of them like right now we could have 100 people in this room and you
wouldn't know it um and also you'll get a ton of playbacks if people tag and share the space so
if you guys just drop a comment down there and say hey i really appreciated the transparency or
thanks for letting us know about you know the opportunity with reaching out to our tax tax guys
like any kind of comment that just lets them know this is worth playing back and it's worth the listen
um you'd be surprised on the impacts that you can make yeah 100 get down there retweet tag a couple
friends that might be able to help or or have some large accounts and they might be you know willing
to interact and you know throw up a picture a gif uh any kind of random comment anything you do
can help engage the algorithm and push it out a little bit further so yeah great great advice go for it
yeah i want to i want to add to the basic needs you know i do outreaches like i said in la and san
diego and i did outreaches by handing out socks socks are the least donatable donated item that's
the whole thing i was thinking about when he said t-shirts i was literally rubbing my feet together and
just thinking about socks the whole time i mean when we hand out socks to the homeless that are living on
sidewalks and we also hand out water they don't drink the water they take off their old dirty socks
they use that water to wash their feet and when you put on a clean fresh pair of socks oh my god
it's a whole other world especially when you're on your feet walking all day being homeless you know
socks are very important i don't know how many people wear socks in in maui you know probably just
flip-flops and bare feet but i'm sure they're there's a need for that as well so basic little
needs we don't even think about are so crucial to have every day especially clean
yeah maybe socks or should we straight up like sandals
who's got the old navy hookup you know who has the old navy flip-flop hookup because that would be
a dope i will call old navy and get them i'm really i have a knack for getting people to donate
stuff i will call old navy and tell them they need to step up thank you tricky we appreciate that
i think anything at this point i will want i want to bring us back though to one point i would like us to
see foresee foresee our future as a sustainable and conscious future so think about that when you're
aligning the brands and businesses um and and bringing in these people although as you all know
there are needs and there is many many resources that um will help in this space everybody they are still in
crisis um many of you that are just joining us i want to remember and remind you we're here um for hope
for maui.org you guys can take a moment to go and check out the website check out our concert
series and our new series that's streaming live each and every day i want to thank all the artists
that have come through want to thank all of our sister and brother organizations partners
um and so many other people that have made this possible and will continue to make it possible you
guys are making this possible right now here on x and uh shout out to everybody who has come
through and retweeted posted or are sharing it in any respect um there we do have an itemized list
that we're adding to each and every day we have a special needs list as well
can i can i speak up for a moment touching on what they're asking about with the clothes i've just done
the um i'm seeing shelters so i've been doing research thank you i've been doing research for the clothes
um for the shelters so i have sizes i have pricing for children um adults both types of underwear socks
for everybody different sizes and we're looking to insource so it's really easy to insource with the
natural fibers that are super super soft and they're more so organic fibers so we can teach them how to
make clothes eventually they'll have like it'll be able to be sustainable business you know what helps
them can also provide profit um but it's what i'm doing so i'll send you over the list i have it right
here um just kind of a basic with socks you have to get shoes too so you're looking at undershirts um bras
boxers underwear shorts pants sweats t-shirts you know the tank tops undershirts um for adults and
children both genders please send me is this a source list this is what i'm working on right now i'm
getting ready to meet with governor newsom um we're creating a land we're building it out with cure gardens
and um medicine and food and then uh 800 800 the a and 250 children and their families
yes yeah so i that's what i was accounting it for huh please send it to me um we're looking to provide
uh clothes to the homeless and for students and for shelters so that would be that'd be great okay i um
you can contact me yes on this platform i'm new to having twitter i have not had it for many moons
um thank you and we'll get you the itemized list as well and thank you um and you can go back and
we want to thank and welcome faith mystic uh to the hope for maui space uh faith is one of our faces
um here for hope for maui campaign she has donated her time her music um her continuous day-to-day
efforts she this is one of my uh warrior soul sisters in this um each and every single day
faith has not missed one day with us and um continues to open close us with prayer um re-conjoin
us on the weekend uh in in prayer and in her beautiful angelic uh voice that has been given
to her and um i did ask her in in closing to uh take us out in a prayer for maui and um some thoughts
there uh but i do want to take a moment to thank you tricky for that and um and for faith for coming
up with that list and all the work that all of you guys are doing it's just incredible and we're
here together um hope for maui uh this saturday you can join us for uncle ryan rhinos where you
guys can go follow him he's right next to chris collins here in the space um he's getting ready to
provide us with the most amazing show and um i think one of the coolest things is the song that he
wrote that has not been debuted yet um and it is uh well you guys will just have to be there to see
but um it is inspired by the foundation that he sits on the board for with us here
and um that's a pretty cool thing uh him doing the work out uh with our storm search and rescue team
and shout out to rob the re who didn't make this space but we hold him in very strong regard as well

blessed love washing into the hearts and the souls of each present each and every loved one within that
foot prints until the highness waves to the sacred soils and the loved ones within maori
and to the creations who are working through sustaining through disasters
washing with light all creation
so thank you
so thank you
To the purity within the soul and to the core.
With those frequencies melting away the heartache to be able to bring soothing solutions,
may this effort and these actions that we are doing,
an action putting forth sustained creation,
more and more and more into the place where our earth sustains naturally
with all of these sacred gardens that we are creating,
with all of these sacred homes that we are building,
with all of these lives that we are teaching are not alone.
As we rise hands in hands and soul and hearts together,
we uplift that song, the song in our heart of unification,
of one tribe uniting, we are here as family.
So may our intentions, a beautiful light,
our love, as I say, hob, which is a very pure love,
which is in Farsi Arabic.
We bring this love forward with an intention to change the pattern,
stop the cycles of devastations.
To increase solutions, we increase the options.
Let it be with the pureness of our hearts and our intentions,
be strong, our vessels be strong,
that we can rise up with these solutions and not get exhausted
because now are the moments that we rise together.
Oh, yeah, yeah, that's a love.
Thank you each for all your work also.
Thank you, Faith, and make sure that you go follow us now at www.hope4maui.org.
We honor you as we honor ourselves wholly and completely.
We honor the sisters and brothers in Lahaina, in Maui,
and we stand strong with our sister island in this time.
You guys are part of the solution,
and we thank each and every one of you.
Please make sure that you're following one another.
Please make sure that you're sharing, and just thank you.
Thank you to everyone, and have a blessed and amazing evening.
We are out.
