Check, check.
Yo, what's good?
What's up, Vert?
First one in.
Love to see it.
Happy to have you.
What is up, Noble NFT?
Great to have you.
I forgot to enable video on this shit.
I don't think I can turn it on now.
So no video this morning.
I'll do video tomorrow.
But I guess we're going back to the old ways.
Pre-video.
This is just going to be an audio space.
And that's okay.
It's going to be fun no matter what.
It's Monday.
Big Monday vibes.
Monday, March 18th.
Again, I forgot to enable video.
But it's all right.
We'll do video tomorrow.
But GM to everybody.
Waking up.
Jumping in.
Sliding through.
We're here.
We are back for another big week.
GM Jess, awesome to see you here.
I am still waking up like I do.
But I'm happy to be here.
Monday, March 18th.
Crazy things happening.
Lots to talk about.
GM to you all.
Come on up and hang out if you'd like.
We are going to be covering off on the latest and greatest from around the web.
Three space like we do, of course.
Because this is GM Web 3, the greatest morning show ever invented on any platform and in any
universe or on any timeline.
And it's largely because of y'all.
What's up, Nochi.se?
Great to see you here.
It's the greatest show ever because of you.
New friend.
Hopping in here as we kick off another exciting week.
Got to get my soundboard powered up here.
Got to plug it in.
Got to make sure everything's working.
I mean, obviously, one of the biggest things that we'll be covering and following up on
is all of the crazy, hectic stuff happening with meme coins.
There's the pre-sale meta that's been happening.
I would say it's still happening, but we're already seeing some maybe hangover from a weekend of
incredible degeneracy that has just taken place.
A lot of the pre-sales that I was watching or that I even participated in because, of course, I am only human.
I am not immune from participating in some of this more ridiculous behavior.
A lot of them seem to be down pretty bad this morning.
Seems like everything's sort of taking a moment, taking a step back.
Let's see if I can pull up a couple of these.
A couple of the bigger ones over the weekend were Snap and NOS.
And then there was, of course, a couple of rugs to be expected.
And then the bigger one this morning that we'll talk about that, was it a rug?
I don't know.
It's kind of an interesting situation.
It's Slurf.
It's definitely doing okay after the person, the pre-sale money was all burned.
So this is a really interesting story, breaking story happening right now that we'll dig into.
Yeah, lots to talk about.
And then, of course, other things happening in the NFT space and crypto in general that we'll be getting into.
The dog with hat meme, the original photo selling for lots of money.
Jesus Christ.
A lot of money.
Study memes, y'all.
If there's one takeaway that you take away from the show today, that's it.
I hope that you study memes.
I hope that in your spare time, you are studying book of meme and memes.
Because that's part of what I'm going to be talking about today.
I've been trying to figure out, figure my way through what is my grand thesis.
Around memes and what's happening.
So I got some ideas.
I got big ideas about this kind of stuff.
But you should be forming your own thesis, I think.
And hopefully, yes.
If you take one thing away from GMWeb3 today, I hope that's it.
Study memes.
And GM Kerry Ross, GM Cats Fanatic, great to have you with us.
Come on up and hang out if you'd like.
We're getting into it.
We're waking up together.
You know what?
Let's get some fucking energy in the room.
Share it out.
Let's get some friends in here.
Let's have a great day.
This is going to be a valuable space, as it always is.
So let's get some more friends in here.
And we're going to throw it back to You Got That.
Our OG theme song for the show.
Because, of course, we've been doing it 354 episodes now.
We've probably had three or four different theme songs at this point.
That's okay.
This is the OG one.
Let's fucking pump it up.
Let's get it in here.
Feels good.
Tastes good.
We're caffeinating.
We're waking up.
All right.
I pulled up the snap chart.
The other one, Nas.
I want to look at that and follow up on that.
Again, it does feel like this morning everything is kind of down, correcting.
I think there's a hangover.
I think the degeneracy got a little bit too degenerate over this weekend.
I think everybody was getting out of control a little bit.
And so the market's being like, hey, hey, calm down.
Chill out a little bit.
What's up, Glyph?
Great to see you.
Knox Darkness.
Yo, Knox picked up a fucking dropper.
I was going to post the high quality version, but shout out to you.
And you know what?
Speaking of posting things, I'm also going to go ahead and start pinning things up at your mom's house.
I almost said Xbox.
But, of course, that's not what we call it anymore.
That is your mom's house up top.
That's where everybody's going.
And that's what I'm going to start doing right now also as we get into the news.
If you haven't shared out the room, go ahead and do that.
It's really the only and best way to support the show and everything that we do here on the network.
So, take a moment.
Go down there to the bottom right corner or up at the top where the arrow button is.
Give it some love.
Give it a little thumb action.
It doesn't cost a thing.
It only takes a moment, but it makes a big difference.
And we appreciate those of you who do it.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, a lot to cover.
A lot to cover today.
So, I'm getting some things pinned.
I'm trying to figure out how I want to tackle it.
I'm starting with the meme coin stuff early.
Quick sort of recap of some of the crazier things.
And then there's a lot of other breaking things to talk about.
You know, late last week, Starbucks Odyssey news.
Is there now Artifact news?
Dot swoosh things happening?
RIP Polygon?
We're going to have to talk a little bit about all of that.
Of course, Dog Whiff Hat fits into the meme coin convo.
We're going to be covering that.
A bunch of big stuff coming up and happening on Ordinals.
Oni Force the Fallen happening soon.
Very excited about that.
Make sure to submit your Ordinals address to their system.
Connect it to your ETH wallet if you haven't done that already.
But yeah, there's quite a few different things happening right now.
So, I'm trying to get everything organized.
But we are starting with the meme talk.
We're just going to give people what they want.
We're just going to get straight into what everybody's looking for.
Just tell me the ticker.
Shut up and just say the fucking ticker, fam.
This fucking world, right?
This is where we are.
But anyway, yes.
All right.
The pre-sale meta has been hot and heavy.
So, of course, I know most of you know what I'm talking about.
But in case you don't, as this shit started to heat up, really, all of this spun out of Book of Meme.
Book of Meme fucking killed it.
New meme coin launches doing well.
You know, we obviously know Dog With Hat.
There's the Mogs.
There's a bunch of other new meme coins that are all doing very well.
But especially Book of Meme.
Which, by the way, is down to like $700, $800 million today.
It's way down to like an $800 million market cap this morning.
So, buying opportunity, maybe.
Not financial advice.
But coming out of that, we've just seen everybody going absolutely nuts.
And, of course, one of the greatest metas to ever meta in the Web3 space is this pre-sale meta.
Where people basically just post a fucking wallet online and say, send me your money.
And there's nothing else other than like, I'm going to watch a token, I swear.
Like, that's it.
Just send me your fucking money.
Trust me, fam.
It's going to happen.
I promise.
So, of course, that's been happening.
And so, that's kind of like the context that sets up the beginning of where we are now.
And what we're getting into.
But I have to say, GM to Mo Ronda.
How are we?
How are you?
I'm great.
I'm excited for this conversation.
Well, me too.
I'm happy that you're here.
You know, we did have some people late last week asking specifically for like a meme coin or shit coin, alt coin trading class.
So, I do want to dig more into that.
I don't know if we're going to get into like the how-to aspect of like best practices per se today.
But if there are specific questions that you, Mo, or any of our friends in here hanging out with us have, feel free to drop those in the comments along with your eggplants and peaches and other awkward things that you like to share.
And we can do our best to field those too.
Because I do know that a lot of people are starting to, you know, maybe like people that haven't been as degenerate as some of us have been are starting to want to play around with meme coins a little bit more.
They see that this is becoming a bigger part of the larger crypto ecosystem and not just a silly little sideshow that I think most people have treated it as.
But anyway, I digress.
That's getting into my sort of bigger thinking, bigger theses, thesis.
But right now, Mo, we're talking about what's been happening over the last couple days, of course.
So, contextualized it.
We've got this fucking pre-sale meta that is absolutely the most ridiculous high-risk shit you could ever do.
Where you're basically just throwing your money into a fucking dark void, into a dumpster and hoping that there's not a fire lit inside of it.
So, that's literally what it is.
So, people throw up a wallet address.
They say, hey, send me your money.
I'm going to launch a token too.
And people do it.
We saw Snap raise $10 million.
They had to cut it off, fam.
So, Kiro is an artist, a D-Gen meme artist.
Kiro NFTs.
I'll go try and find that one and pin it up top if I can too.
Kiro was one of the first to sort of pick up on this and tweet out a wallet saying, hey, send me your money.
And people sent money.
People sent, again, in less than 24 hours, he got inundated with over $10 million of Solana.
He had to cut it off and say, stop sending me money.
I can't put any more into the pre-sale.
Like, crazy shit.
And he did follow through.
This has been, I would say, one of the most successful of these new coins coming out of this pre-sale meta.
But, of course, even this morning, it's down quite a bit.
But still at like a $44, $45 million market cap snap token, which has his little alligator or crocodile.
I don't know the difference.
You tell me.
Is it a crocodile or is it an alligator?
I don't know.
You tell me.
Either way, it snaps.
And that's the idea.
And this thing shot up to about $250, about a quarter billy out of the gate in the first couple hours.
So, yeah, I would say this has been maybe the most successful or one of the most successful that I've been watching of this sort of pre-sale meta.
That launched about 24 to 36 hours ago.
It launched like Saturday night, I think.
So, there we go.
I can pin that up top right there.
So, I do think some of these pre-sale coins will end up being pretty legit because they're coming from like a legit artist that has a real meme, that has a real community.
But, of course, most of them are not.
They're going to go to zero.
And some of them will never even make it to a coin.
Another one that we'll mention briefly that gets honorable mention is NOS, which is short for nostalgia.
This one coming from another pretty well-known meme artist, Satoshi's mom.
This one did not fare as well out of the gate as I think a lot of people were hoping, including me, because, of course, I sent money into this fucking wallet.
Of course, I did.
Not financial advice.
Y'all, let's go ahead and, again, since we are talking about meme coins out of the gate, we got to say this, Mo.
You know what it is.
This is not financial advice.
You want to say it?
This is not financial advice.
Excuse me.
Yeah, nothing that we talk about on this show or any of the shows on the Web3 Network should ever, ever be misconstrued as financial advice.
We're not financial advisors.
So, just remember that.
Don't do what I do.
Don't be doing dumb stuff with your money like I do.
Do your own research, NFA, all that.
All right.
That said, I did send a little bit to this wallet as well, to Satoshi's mom.
And this one, I think a lot of people were hoping would also do well.
It was pretty quick on the meta, you know, pretty quick following in Kira's footsteps.
But it just didn't have quite the same energy.
Still raised a lot of money.
It maybe got up to, I think, like 20 mil and then pretty quickly sort of dumped.
A lot of the pre-sailers have just been selling it off.
And it's now sitting at $6 million market cap.
Still not bad.
I mean, again, for just like a fucking pre-sale wallet, it's still this morning sitting at a $6 million market cap.
But it does have more liquidity than market cap right now, which is awkward.
So, like, this one's in a weird position.
So, again, just because you're a good meme artist does not mean that you understand tokenomics or how to launch and maintain a token.
This is one of the biggest problems with this whole meta is that, like, it is true that you can launch a token and it's not that difficult to get people to gamble and speculate on your token a little bit right now.
But do you actually know how to properly launch a token, handle the tokenomics and maintain it and build it into a valuable thing?
I mean, that's a whole other story, you know.
And a lot of these people are just meme coin artists.
They're just artists.
They're just internet, you know, people on the internet.
They're not necessarily tokenomics experts.
So, this one, unfortunately, I don't know what happens with NOS or Nostalgia right now.
Because I don't know, last time I've seen a project that had more liquidity than market cap.
I don't even know what that means.
Can someone tell me what happens next?
Like, I don't know.
Somebody explain to me what that means.
Because that's a weird one.
Maybe I got to get ChadGBT up in here.
Maybe I'll just ask ChadGBT what happens.
Here we go.
What happens when a token has more liquidity than market cap?
Let's see if ChadGBT comes up with a good answer for that one.
Because I don't even know if I've seen that.
That's a weird scenario.
All right.
But speaking of weird scenarios, we'll keep it going here.
Talk about some other things while ChadGBT does the thinking for me.
We did, of course, have a couple rugs.
I think I heard Ticker might have been one.
I know there was another one where people, of course, just take the money that is sent to them and do nothing with it and disappear their accounts, etc.
Of course, that's already happened several times.
But maybe on the more strange side of things is Slurf.
That's right.
Say it with me.
Spelled S-L-E-R-F in case you were wondering.
This is the story of the day.
We got to talk about it.
It's doing pretty well at the moment, despite a rocky start.
And GM S-W-E-R-F.
It kind of rhymes.
You know your name kind of rhymes with Slurf?
Don't start.
All right.
Nick Token was already enough to piss me off.
Let's start with this one.
All right.
GM friends.
Share out the room.
Let's get some more homies in here.
What's up, Marty McFly, Chris Mullins, Art Snitch.
Great to have you.
Come on up and chill if you'd like.
Quantum Variant.
Yo, we got talk time in the castle.
Great to have you hanging out with us.
I'm sorry.
I forgot to enable video when I set up the room.
So we'll have to do video tomorrow.
But hey, it's okay.
We're taking it back.
This is like the old days here.
Just audio.
But yes, GM Swerve, a.k.a. Swerve.
What up, what up, what up, what up.
All right.
I'm not slurping shit up here.
Don't start with me.
I already started.
I'm going to start.
It's what we do here.
We're hanging out at your mom's house.
All right.
What's the deal with slurf?
It's a strange situation.
Chris Coffey Eath did a good job of sort of recapping it.
That's pinned up at your mom's house if you want to check that out and follow along.
He says, GM, I'm just waking up to catch up.
But if you see this meme here, or if you see this meme, here is the TLDR.
$10 million in pre-sale funds were sent.
So this is very similar to what Kira received for Snap.
$10 million just sent to a random fucking wallet.
$10 million.
Again, this is not even just like a...
This isn't even a rare occurrence right now.
This is happening across a bunch of these fucking pre-sales.
So $10 million sent to a random fucking wallet for slurf.
And he accidentally burned it.
I'll say that again.
The dude accidentally burned $10 million.
Oh, my God!
And he just...
Apparently, when he did it, he just tweeted,
There's a screenshot.
Just tweeting,
What would you tweet?
Y'all, let me know in the comments.
If people just sent you $10 million
for the liquidity pool
of a token that you promised them
and you accidentally burned it,
sent it to a burn address
or made it inaccessible
because you're an incompetent...
You're not a dev.
These are not devs, fam.
This has got Aku vibes written all over it.
Uh, Aku's Dreams, right?
Is that the one you're talking about?
Yeah, man.
Yeah, that was even worse.
Wasn't that like 24 mil?
Yeah, homie.
It was a lot.
I remember that.
And I remember thinking,
like, what's going to happen here?
And I have to say,
I'm simultaneously sort of, like,
proud of the community
for how it handled that,
but also kind of shocked
and still dismayed by it.
Because the artist basically lost,
like, again,
like, we're talking about
not just, like,
a couple hundred thousand dollars
or even a million dollars.
We're not even talking about
a couple million dollars
of people's money.
We're talking about, like,
almost $25 million
that he just disappeared.
that's, like,
I don't know.
That's not good.
And overall,
people were just like,
it's okay.
Like, he's, like,
that person's still here.
And again,
like, I think I'm kind of proud
of the community
for not, like,
completely, like,
going after that person
and trying to wreck them entirely.
but also, like,
that's one of the bigger
complete F-ups
that I've seen.
So, I don't know.
I'm kind of ambivalent
about that one.
Like, I'm simultaneously
proud of the space
for not just, like,
being completely wretched.
Because it could have been worse,
But that was also,
I remember that.
And that was pretty bad.
But you know what?
This is also taking
a surprising twist here.
So, if we're going to follow up
on what happens next
because it's probably
not what you think.
Dude burns $10 million
that was sent to him
for this token
for the liquidity pool.
And so, of course,
he launches the token anyway.
And because there's no
sell pressure
from the pre-sale people,
nobody had tokens to dump.
And the market cap
shot over $200 million
and has done almost
$2 billion in volume.
Now has 70,000,
over 70,000 holders.
what's the lesson here?
What's the moral
of the story,
Swerve and Mo?
Do y'all know?
I have no idea.
You tell us,
Lord Giff.
Oh, I'm asking
because I have no fucking clue
what the moral
of this story is.
Oh, the moral of the story
is that it's always
going to zero anyway,
so just have fun
on the way down.
It's fine.
It is down a bit,
but it is...
I can't even get
an accurate reading
on market cap on this.
Let me go try again.
Let's see if we can
pull this up right now,
see where it's at.
Yeah, this thing
shot over 200...
Dude, it's sitting
at $243 million
market cap right now.
And it looks like
it's shot up
way above that.
Like, this thing
got up to like
$600 million market cap
or some shit.
This is wild.
This is wild.
Are you buying this dip,
Let me know
in the comments.
Are you buying
Slurf right now?
Or is this one
going to zero
like Swerve,
aka Slurf,
is saying?
Well, I like the name,
so if that's
any indication.
You like Slurf?
I like it.
you like the meme.
You would buy this meme,
Is that what you're
telling me?
Alright, so good meme.
Maybe this is literally
just such a good meme
that you can literally
fuck up that bad,
burn $10 million
of people's funds
out of the gate,
and it still succeeds.
Swerve, I don't know.
How do you feel
about that thesis?
Bro, this is
going to zero.
Alright, I mean,
you got two very
different takes there.
No, I didn't say,
I said I like the name.
Don't put words
in my mouth.
Mo said $5 billion
market cap.
I'm saying zero.
That's what I heard.
That is what I heard.
Play it back.
It's recorded.
there's a bunch
more of these
that's going to be
happening this week.
I know a bunch
of them are going
to be watching
today and tomorrow
So, we're going
to keep playing this
and the meme coins
are a crazy thing
to talk about.
So, we'll talk about
it just a little bit
longer before,
of course,
we head into
other headlines
because there is
more stuff happening
around the NFT
and Web3 space.
And by the way,
GM to everybody
who's been hopping
in here who we haven't
said hi to already,
happy to have you,
share out the space.
We'd love to get
some more friends
But one of the ones,
or let's just say
one of the ecosystems.
So, obviously,
Solana has been doing
a lot of this volume.
A lot of the meme
has been on Sol.
I'm incredibly bullish
for this cycle.
I think most people
You're starting to see
the power of the
DeFi ecosystem
that they've built.
I think a lot of people
are feeling right now
like Sol kind of
stole Blast's thunder
because Blast has been
a little bit underwhelming.
I'm still not counting it out
because I think that
they're going to come up
with some cool stuff.
They haven't even done
their drop yet.
I think it's still
kind of beta
for Blast right now.
But you could argue
in a lot of ways,
and I think a lot of people
feel this,
that Sol kind of
stole the show
away from what Blast
was trying to do
with their launch
and just kind of
being like a
D-Gen, DeFi,
GambleFi protocol
So Sol's doing
incredibly well.
I've been buying up
I'm feeling extremely
bullish on Jupe,
which is Jupiter.
Not the clone.
here's my quick thesis
are kind of
under the radar
while all of the
attention is on
meme coins.
But I think
once the meme coin
mania sort of
calms down a bit
or you have a break,
I don't think
meme coin mania
is going away
anytime soon.
this is getting
into my bigger
I think that
meme coins are
here to stay
and that we're
going to see
a super cycle
with meme coins.
But it does
kind of come and go.
The metas shift,
the attention shifts,
the puck moves
somewhere else.
So right now,
so much of the
attention is on
meme coins.
But when that
sort of chills
out for a little
like where does
I think a lot
of that liquidity
goes to Jupe.
So I've been
averaging in,
not financial
but Jupiter
is one of the
best DEXs ever
created on any
ecosystem.
And they had an
incredibly successful
launch of their
token like a month
or so ago.
It's been doing
very, very well.
And I just think
it's a little bit
under the radar
right now.
And I think
that when the
craziness wears
off and people
are looking for
more reliable
product-backed
tokens and
ecosystems and
things for their
liquidity to go
to, I don't
Y'all, you
financial advice,
but that's what I
I'm very bullish
But the other
thing that I want
to bring into
this is base.
So just to sort
of wrap up today's
meme coin convo,
I want to talk
about base a
little bit more
because I am
getting, we've
been talking about
base for months
about zigging
when everyone's
zagging, moving
liquidity over
there, trying to
be early to
what, you know,
these narratives
that we think are
going to do very,
very well in this
next cycle.
Base, I think,
is going to be one
of the biggest
narratives of the
This, I'm getting
more and more
bullish on it the
more that I think
We've already
talked about
like base being
liquidity adjacent
that it already
has, you know,
one of the biggest
crypto communities
that it has access
So it already
has access to
liquidity and
audience and
Like it's, it's
already got like
all of the
ingredients at a
level that almost
nobody has.
So what they're
cooking is, is
It's, it's going
to be special.
Coinbase has now
positioned itself
as like the
epicenter of
crypto in all of
the Western
hemisphere.
So you could argue
like there's other
ones, you know,
and you could say
Binance is probably
the sort of
biggest centralized
spot, you know,
the epicenter of
crypto and maybe the
Eastern hemisphere
or something like
But in the
Western hemisphere,
Coinbase is now
so well positioned.
Like they're,
they're, my
understanding is
that they're the
ones that are like
holding a lot of
the Bitcoin for
these ETFs and
Like they, like
they're the
custodians providing
services for a lot
of the ETFs.
They're the ones
that are up on
Capitol Hill, like
pushing forward
legislation and
regulatory agendas
hand in hand.
They're just so
well positioned.
You cannot
underestimate how
important that's
going to be over
the next couple
But what I, what
I see them doing
with base, like
the other, like
there's a couple
different things
that I've been
understanding more
about like what
base is or what I
think it's going
I think base is
going to be the
retail DeFi
financial layer.
So like, like
what, what does
that mean?
It means like,
like I think
Solana will also
get some of that.
Like Solana will
get some of the
more retail
mainstream people
coming in and
adopting it for
But I think that's
what base is going
to be really.
I think that as
things move a
little bit more
mainstream and we
start to get more
people coming in
to fuck around
with DeFi, that
base is going to
be the financial
layer for a lot
of that, just
because of where
they're positioned
and how they're
building this thing
And then the other
thing that I'm
starting to think
about is one of
my big bold
predictions of the
year was that in
the second half of
this year, we're
going to start to
see the RWA
narrative pick up
real world assets.
I think base is
also going to be
one of the biggest
chains for RWAs.
And what I'm
talking about is
even institutional
level RWA at
that point, not
just retail.
I'm not just
talking about like,
hey, I want to
put my watches
online and
tokenize my
watches, my
nice watches.
Yes, that type
of shit, sure.
But I'm talking
about real estate.
I'm talking about
when institutions
like BlackRock
and Larry Fink
and all of
them, like as
they're now,
they've been
talking for
months about the
future is tokenizing
the entire
financial infrastructure.
I think base is
one of the primary
spots where
RWAs are going to
live in the future.
So all of this
said, I'm giving
you all my fucking
thesis for free.
Y'all are in
here for fucking
I'm not paying
for this shit.
I'm giving you my
theses here on all
this shit for
fucking free.
That's what we do
I hope you find
something interesting
I hope you share it
I hope you drop
some comments and
appreciate it.
All of that said,
what's the point?
The point is that
there is also a very
hot meme coin
market heating up
on base, and I
think it's still
very early.
So I'm going to
give you all a
couple tickers.
I know everybody's
just like, give me
the fucking ticker,
Stop talking about
all this nonsense.
Nobody cares.
That's tomorrow,
Nobody cares right
Just give me the
fucking ticker,
Like, all right,
I'll give you some
tickers, fam.
I'll give you one
that I think is a
sleeper that I just
found out about
yesterday.
And as soon as I
started looking into
it, it fucking like
three X'd.
As soon as I tweeted
about it from the
Web3 account, it
fucking three X.
I'm not saying
that those are
correlated, but
literally right after
I tweeted it out
from the Web3
account, it
happened to
fucking three X
last night.
So I'll just say
this one real quick
and then we'll get
quantum variant and
then we'll talk
about a few others.
Blue BLOO is the
Not financial
Go do your own
fucking research on
This is a new one I
just found out
yesterday from a
DJ and friend at
Soho house.
Literally bumped
into somebody.
I was wearing a
board ape shirt and
homie goes to USC and
he's buying board
apes right now.
He's buying what he
thinks is the floor.
We got into a great
He said, we started
talking about bass.
He's very aligned on
my thesis that I told
Totally agrees.
And he told me about
So I went and started
doing some research on
it last night.
Brian Armstrong is
apparently one of the
people behind it.
So I pinned this up at
your mom's house, a
tweet from Blue, Blue
Foster Coin.
So Jesse Pollack,
another well-known
person in the space,
and Brian Armstrong are
apparently the two
people that have
partnered on this coin.
And if you know, if
you've been here, you
know part of the
Coinbase thesis of why
like some of these
coins are going to do
very well and like why
I'm betting on it and a
lot of other people are
is because they will
likely get priority
consideration for
Coinbase listings.
And we all know what
happens when meme
coins and tokens get
listed on Coinbase.
So anyway, if this is
indeed as it looks to
be, again, I
completely verified this.
It just appears to be
Somebody go do some
more research.
Please confirm.
Not financial advice.
But if indeed Brian
Armstrong is one of the
people behind this
token, I mean, I
don't know.
Do with that info what
Quantum variant GM to
use how we don't
before you before you
Where are you?
Where do you get blue?
I think I've just been
trading on Uniswap.
So, yeah, yeah, you
can find their, you
know, you can find them
on deck screen or
Copy the address.
But let me just
I think the market cap
sitting around 15
Let me just confirm
right now.
Come on, fam.
So, I found it on
Dex Tools.
And yes, market cap is
sitting at like 13 mil
right now.
So, that's the one.
It only launched in the
last couple days.
That's why I think it's
still pretty early and
under the radar.
And it just fucking
started surging last
night up to all-time
and it's pulled back a
little bit right now.
But it got up to almost
20 mil last night.
Sitting around 13 mil.
Blue Foster Coin
Quantum, GM.
I wanted to add to the
I don't know if you saw
some of the
news or talk
people were giving
Coinbase shit
yeah, they are the
for a lot of Bitcoin.
But a lot of the
Bitcoin isn't being
purchased that they're
purchasing
on the Bitcoin
and they're getting
you know, when they
satisfy the days
Bitcoin needs
of the ETFs
they got a lot of
shit for it
them not buying
Bitcoin on the
network and they're
like, well, we are
we're just not buying
it on the Bitcoin
network because the
Bitcoin network is
super slow.
And so supposedly
all of that
transactions history
is going to
is slowly being
moved to base.
So you can buy
wrapped Bitcoin
See y'all this is
this is going to
be the future.
This is y'all
base is so well
positioned.
This shit is crazy.
I did not know
that quantum
and they own
positioning themselves
to dominate
in so many ways
and hopefully be
decentralized, right?
Like bases
is on optimism.
So hopefully it
stays decentralized.
I think it's going
to be a dominant
play for Coinbase.
I'm not a meme
coin play,
but just the base
Thank you for
sharing that
Good morning.
I just wanted to
I got stuck
on a honeypot
last night
and I just
wanted to say
that this BLOO
is a honey
has a honeypot
So that was
something that I
never looked at
at contracts
because I'm
self-taught.
What the hell?
And so now
and for those
who don't know
what a honeypot
is, it says
that you may
or may not
be able to
looking at
check mark.
So you might
be looking at
the wrong one.
Yeah, you got
to make sure
you're looking
at the right
There's always
a bunch of
different charts
and fake coins
around this shit.
So you got
to be very sure
that you know
what you're
looking at.
Are you looking
at the soul
or the base?
Blue Foster
Coin is on base.
Blue slash
Well, I was
looking at both
have a contract?
I mean, that's
another thing
that I look for.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I can post
look for the
contract when
I'm looking
or bird eye
putting the
right now.
on Saturday
learning all
that's more
wallets now
than I think
I ever wanted.
that's part of
why we're going
to be doing
a little bit
more education
around this
stuff, because
again, I think
a lot more
people are
realizing this
is a bigger
that there
is opportunities,
but there's
also a ton
things like
that, like
So if y'all
don't know
Honeypot is,
it's basically
devs don't
sell function,
so only they
can take the
money out.
So basically,
you can send
them all the
money, like you
can buy the
token, but then
when you go to
try and sell
transactions can go
There's just
literally, it's
literally, you're
just sending
money to them,
basically.
So yeah, a lot
of the DEXs
will check that.
They can verify
that it's not a
So like on
DEX tools for
blue, if I scroll
down where it's
got the DEX
score, it has
Honeypot and it
says no, this is
not a Honeypot
with a check mark.
So yeah, that is a
great point.
That's something to
look at, Kerry.
And yeah, I'm
sorry that happened.
And that also
happened to me
on Blast early
There was a token
called, shit, I
don't even remember
what it was
It's fucking
But luckily I
didn't send too
much, so hopefully
you didn't send
Oh, you know, I
gave myself a
I have, I've
been, I've been
teaching myself how
to do this slowly
and it wasn't a
It was under a
So I mean, it's
still a lot.
I mean, yeah, it's
still not good.
But that's more
than that.
But that's that.
Yeah, keep it that.
You know what?
And again, that's
that's a good
strategy, especially
if you're early and
you're playing with
things that you don't
necessarily fully
understand, which a
lot of people are in
this space.
Keep your risk
Give yourself a
Keep it like under
a hundred and just
test these things
Play with it.
Get to know the
shit first.
Figure out like the
mistakes because you're
going to make
You know, I've
made so many
fucking mistakes,
which is I've
literally made pretty
much all the
mistakes, which is
why, you know,
make a mistake on
I sold at a
certain time just to
give me some
liquidity and I
would have had over
a hundred grand by
Look, Pepe is an
international phenomenon.
So we can come back
to that one.
But we do have some
friends up here and
some more friends
hopping in here at
We're talking about
base meme coins and
then we're going to
get to some headlines
before we wrap up
here in a few minutes.
I don't think we got
any NFT live today.
Nifty Q is MIA.
I think he's dealing
with some personal
stuff, maybe some
family stuff.
I don't know what's
going on with Q, but
no NFT live, I
believe, today.
Normally, if you
don't know what this
is, excuse me,
my voice is still
waking up a little
If you don't know
what this is, we do
this show, GM Web3
here on the X
Spaces, four days a
week, Monday through
Thursday, and then
Monday through Friday
directly after this
show, so that would
be around 10 a.m.
PST or 1 p.m.
EST if you're over
there on the weird
side of the country,
we hop over to
YouTube, which is
where we keep the
conversation rolling
with more headlines,
more awesome guests,
and more awesome news
to cover on our
Temple live YouTube
show, NFT live.
But it doesn't look
like that's going to
be happening today,
although I do see
NFT live hanging out
in here, so go ahead
and give that a
Hopefully, we'll be
back doing that
But all right, we're
covering base a few
last things here.
We might be able to
go a couple minutes
over today since
there is no NFT
live, because there
is quite a few other
things to tackle and
talk about, but of
course, meme coins is
dominating a lot of
the combo.
I do think tomorrow
we'll do a little bit
more of like an
educational, like how
to how to flip, how
to buy and sell
shit coins, you
know, things like
Because again, it does
seem like a lot of
people want to know
this stuff.
And if we can at
least maybe help
people not make some
of the obvious
mistakes or something,
give a few extra
tools, I think that's a
valuable thing.
Because again, part of
my thesis is that meme
coins are not going
So look out for that.
Come on back tomorrow
if you are into meme
coins and you want to
learn more about how
to buy, sell, trade.
So I'm going to drink
some water real quick
because my voice is not
waking up.
Is education a top?
I'm just asking.
So this is the thing.
So I think maybe local
But dude, look, where
we're at in this in this
cycle, we're nowhere
near the fucking top,
Like I almost get
annoyed with people
right now talking about
tops on some of this
shit because like are
like maybe there's a
local top shirt, but
there's going to be
like over the next
year, there's going to
be like five or six or
seven or eight more
local tops, maybe more.
There might be fucking
10 more local tops.
So like, sure, man,
like I guess maybe we're
at a local top and it
might chill out a little
bit, but to not say
that these tools are
going to be useful over
the next year or two, I
just disagree.
So I think a lot of
people want to know
this shit.
I think it is helpful
for people to get a
better understanding and
a better handle on it.
And again, if I can help
provide a little bit more
knowledge around it from
my experiences, both
good and bad, and that
helps some people
hopefully not make
horrible mistakes, then
I'm fucking here to do
It's a big part of what I
try and do is I share
my experiences, hoping
that some people
garner something from
I think that meme
coins are, okay, I'll
tell you high level my
thesis on meme coins
real quick before we
wrap up with a few more
tickers on base and then
hit some NFT web through
headlines.
I think coming out of
this cycle, we are
going to have like 25 to
30 different meme coins
across base, Solana,
Ethereum, and maybe
We'll see what happens
with blast.
But at least on Ethereum,
Solana, and base, I think
we're going to have like 25
to 30 different meme coins
that are all multiple
billion dollar market caps.
I think this shit is
getting bigger and this is
just the beginning of
people starting to
understand like what
what happens when you
take a cultural
like a cultural symbol
and strap it to a
financial layer and give
people easy ways to
speculate and have fun
with these things.
Like, I just think this
is the very fucking
beginning of this thing.
This, this is a, this is
a, these, a lot of, a
lot of these icons are,
are global symbols.
Pepe is a global
fucking phenomenon.
And like, Swerve's
laughing, but like, yo,
you can go look at the
search data.
Like, I was looking at
Google Trends and shit.
Like, you can go watch,
you know, Feels Good Man.
You can go learn about
how China and, and, you
know, Hong Kong have
adopted Pepe as like a
symbol of hope.
Like, dude, this.
I'm not laughing against
I'm laughing with you,
buddy, because it's
ridiculous how amazing
It is, it is amazing.
And I, and again, sorry,
It's pretty cool.
It's, it, it is amazing.
And, and, and again, I
just think it's early
because most people still
look at it with bombastic
They're still looking at
you like, like, come on,
This is dumb.
Like, like, that's how
you know it's early.
That's the opportunity.
While people are still
fucking looking at you
like, yo, y'all are
fucking crazy.
It's like, yeah, well,
I bought book a meme.
So who's, who's fucking
crazy, you know?
I bought it too, but not
Go ahead, Swerve.
And then we'll get
quantum in here.
Oh, no, go ahead, bro.
I just, I just was going
to say no, no matter
what the, you know, the
next meme name, whatever
it is culturally, it's
just, it's hilarious that
this is kind of, uh, I
don't know.
I think where we're going,
like you're saying in
So it's, it's, these
things are global.
These create a new sense
of global culture, like
shared culture globally
around just little symbols
that are easy to
communicate with.
Um, and you have to, we
have to caveat it.
Like, yes, a lot, like
the majority is all going
So don't expect all of
them to be the next
Not all of them can be
book of meme.
Everybody's going to try.
Most of them are going
to fucking fail.
So if, if you're not
smart and you don't know
how to get in and out or
read the signs, or if
you're gambling too heavy
on unproven ones, like
you're, you're going to
fucking go to zero.
So be aware.
We're not saying like all
of these meme coins are
worth something, but some
of them are, some of them
are incredibly valuable.
Uh, you know, we'll talk
about dog with hat.
The original NFT just
sold for like four or
five million dollars.
We'll hit that before we
head out of here.
And it's got a possibility
of being on the Vegas
theory, which I think is
it's going to be, they
raised over 600 K to be
on the Vegas sphere, but
they still had some
contractual things that
they had to go through.
I heard, but do you on
Um, right on, but I think
that's fantastic.
And that's why I bought
into that.
And dog with hat is
going to be here.
It's not going anywhere.
So like, who knows how
much it goes up, uh, you
know, at the height of
this run, but like dog
with hat, even though
it's, it's very expensive
right now, probably still
Pepe, probably still a
Mog, probably still a
Uh, Brett, you know,
some of these bigger
tokens, like they're
still going to do well
because they're going to
be in probably again,
anything could happen,
but probably betting on
those, those are
probably going to be in
the top 25, 30 winning
meme coins.
The ones that have, that
have sort of reached
takeoff velocity or
whatever, you know, like
they're, they're already
established.
Um, and so they're
probably going to be
riding this wave
quantum variant.
I, I, I don't disagree
with you with, uh, that
meme coins are a
cultural thing.
I think the, what I
think the possibility
that I think it's kind
of similar to where the
NFT meta went for a
while when it was the
big hype in 2021, I
think if, and, and you
saw it with Dogecoin as
well, like possibility
if someone takes that
meme up on the world
and says, we're going
to produce utility for
this coin, like if
Doge, if when, when
Elon said he was going
to use Doge and you
could buy Tesla with
Doge and like, that
is what drove Doge to
the moon, right?
It's only been 80, 70
percent down from there.
But like, I think
there's opportunities for
someone to take over the
culture and use that
culture for actual
And I think then
you'll see actual like
value being stored.
Most of the stored
value in, in meme
coins, the older meme
coins are just locked
up because nobody can
You know what I mean?
Like nobody's going to
get out because they're
probably, you know, 90
percent down from where
they bought because
most people buy at the
top, right?
Look, we're, we're
moving into a, a very
cyberpunk ask future of
techno feudalism where we
all are beholden to
certain ecosystems and
a lot of those
ecosystems are going to
want to have tokens on
So yeah, like Tesla
adopting their own sort
of like token and
making that Doge, that
could be a thing.
You know, Elon's still
talking about that,
wanting to integrate
Doge into more ways.
And I think he will
because he, he, he
sees it as the
people's coin and
something that he can
do that doesn't, it
doesn't like pain him.
It doesn't hurt him to do
this, but he knows it
makes a bunch of people
happy because he's
actually decentralizing
some wealth.
He's helping to spread
He, he literally sees
it as the people's coin
and by, by just sort of
supporting Doge with
some of the initiatives
that he does that
again, doesn't cost him
or hurt him anything to
just integrate it into
Like he knows that he's
helping a bunch of
normal, normal people
again, shit on you on
all you fucking want.
He's not a perfect
fucking person, but
like he, he does do
some cool fucking weird
things that a lot of
other billionaires would
Uh, he, he does have
benevolent moments and
I do think that like he
sees Doge as like one
of those sort of just
fun things that people
fucking love.
And so there's a lot of
other, you know, people
like that billionaires or
large ecosystems out
there that could adopt
other tokens at some
So yeah, they, they're,
there can be patrons,
there can be entrepreneurs,
they can be ecosystems and
communities that adopt
these in different ways.
Who knows what happens
with the fucking Mog
Maybe some of them just
exist as memes forever.
Maybe again, a lot of
them do end up going to
zero or maybe you own
one of the biggest
cultural symbols in the
future by owning this.
Maybe Pepe, maybe Mog,
maybe Brett, maybe, you
know, some of these other
fucking, you know, dog
whiff hat end up
becoming some of the
biggest global cultural
symbols that have ever
fucking existed and you
own a piece of that.
So who fucking knows, but
I just, I just think
we're at, we're still
very early and at the
beginning of what this
can be and people are
just starting to wake up
to like, oh, there's
something else happening.
And so again, if you take
one thing away from this
show, study memes, study
book of meme, study
memetics, that's, I'm
going to do more deep
dives into memetics
this, this week.
And what's memetics?
All right.
Great question.
We'll hit this real
Cause again, I'm, I'm
trying, I'm trying to
hit, uh, some, some
more base tickers for
And then there's a
couple of news items,
but we'll, we'll go a
few minutes over it.
Cause again, NFT live
is not happening today.
I do not believe.
Uh, so we'll go a few
minutes over today.
So look, memetics is the
study of memes, be they
phrases, behaviors, or
any idea that is
transferred from a
person to person.
It's literally just
ideas, concepts,
behaviors, phrases that
are transferred from
person to person, a
catchphrase, an
image like, like the
cross or star of
These are fucking
They're just symbols
that communicate meaning
and value to people.
When you see them
like memes have been
around for so long,
it's literally the way
that we think fast and
communicate quickly.
The first advertising.
It's, it's this, this
is again, what, why,
why people are starting
to realize that there's
something else here is
to the moon is that
there you go.
You got your own meme.
So people are starting
to understand that like,
Oh, there's something
deeply human about this.
It's, it's more than
just like dumb, you
know, internet, uh,
graphics, uh, tied to
It's like human beings
have been communicating
and storytelling through
memetics for thousands,
maybe hundreds of
thousands of years.
I don't know.
As, as long as people
could scribble little
things on cave walls,
like those are, those
are memes.
Like hieroglyphics are
fucking memes, y'all.
You know, I see, I see
the shit coins.
Well, meme coins, the
not, not big chain coins
anyways, whatever we want
to call them as, as a way
of understanding the
payments, um, that started
the NFT digital art
And the more that I, I
I'm speaking from personal
experience, cause I did
spend 24 hours on Saturday
into this, um, that, um,
the, the learning of the,
the nuancing of what's
going on and we all, and
you probably all know this,
but I'm just talking to what
I learned, the cycles and
how Bitcoin, um, runs it
and it's on leap years
that it, um, that it
actually has and that it's
also election years and
the nuancing of how it,
this global market, I
just, yeah, it has, it
has a lot of memetic value
programmed into the code.
And, and yes, you're,
you're right.
And, and so just to finish
up that thought memes in
general are simply popular
thoughts and ideas that
drive culture change.
That's just another way to
think of it.
Popular thoughts and ideas.
It's pop culture, things
that should, that, that
drive culture.
That's, that's what memes
Um, and that's exactly
what's happening now
because you can strap them
to a fucking financial
layer and send them to the
fucking moon if you like
it or not.
Um, this is why, this is
why a lot of people on the
far left side of the curve
are going to do super
fucking well in this
cycle because a lot of
them just have a gut
They're like, yo, that
made me laugh.
I fucking love that meme
and they're DJing on
Twitter all fucking day
and they just see some,
some dumb shit that they
think is funny.
And so they ape, you
know, a thousand dollars
or $5,000 into this
And then it goes to the
fucking moon.
They're like, they don't
need, they don't need a
fucking detailed
convoluted thesis around
why this matters.
Because like, if you're
looking for that, you're
fucking mid curving it.
Y'all some of these
things only matter because
of memetic value that
somebody that a bunch of
people thought it was
fucking funny.
Mike Mogcoin people, a
bunch of people just
fucking think it's funny
y'all like that's it.
And it's worth, you know,
300 million, $400 million
That's it.
Don't overthink some of
this shit.
Like sometimes the meme is
just that good.
And a bunch of people,
they really fucking vibe
with that meme.
And that, that is what it
It doesn't have to be more
complicated than that.
Again, a lot of times vibes
can also go to zero just as
So again, we, we got a
caveat at every time.
It almost, it gets annoying
because I know some people
are going to be confused when
some of these things go to
Nobody's saying that all
these things are going to
make it, but some of them
are that that's what I'm
trying to say.
Some of them are going to
have multi-billion dollar
market caps when all things
are said and done.
Hey, Giff, when, when you're
going into talking about
this, would you go into, um,
you mentioned market cap,
you mentioned volume, you
mentioned all these other
Could you go into reading
these charts?
I mean, I go to coin market
cap tomorrow.
There's other, there's other
They just confuse me more
than the ones that are like,
um, decks and things.
Those confuse me more than
coin market cap, but you
need, I need to, I think
everybody needs to at least
be aware of how to read
them and understand the
language because then you
learn more.
I'd appreciate that.
Tomorrow, Carrie, come on
We're going to do a deep
dive on trading meme coins
here on GM web three, but
all right, let's wrap up
with a couple more tickers.
I promised some more
tickers on base.
I already set up my whole
thesis, a new one that I
found out about that I have
not bought into yet, but I'm
watching it.
I think it's, I think it's
still going to retrace a
Uh, so I'm watching it to get
in on this one and I don't
know that much about it, but
I do think this is a legit
token that has potential.
So again, not financial
advice, but I'm watching this
one right now.
Uh, it's called normie, which
of course, again, is having
fun with the idea, the
concept of normies coming in.
So N O R M I E is the
Got to make sure you're
finding the right one.
I found it on decks tools.
Market cap is 52 million
right now.
This one's been around for,
it looks like, uh, a week or
a week and a half.
We'll say it marched around
March 6th or 7th.
And it is over $50 million
market cap right now.
Um, so normie, I'm not in
that one yet, but I'm
watching it looking for an
I think I like this one.
That's a new one that I
found out on base.
Um, and then another new
one that I think is, is
I think this is alpha.
I think this is a legit one
that could be very early
right now.
Again, don't fucking gamble
You can't lose.
I feel like I've said that
a million times and I know
it's going to get annoying,
but you have to hear it
because I know somebody is
going to go fucking get
wrecked and it's not my
These are your bags.
Anything you do with your
money is your fucking your
But I'm, I'm sharing, I'm
sharing things that I'm
looking at.
I'm being transparent.
This is one that I started
buying into around the
level that it's at right
Actually, it's retraced.
I started buying into this
one called Riku R I K U.
Uh, do your own research on
R I K U it's, it's a little
Um, I think the person that's
behind this might also be
somehow affiliated with the
Coinbase team.
I think what we're seeing is
people inside of Coinbase are
being told to experiment with
launching tokens on base
because I think they
understand the value of
memes and I, I'm, I'm totally
fucking, that is me
editorializing and guessing
based upon like looking at
different things that I see
happening in the market.
it, I could be completely
fucking wrong.
I could be so wrong, but
seeing what's happening with
blue, that Brian Armstrong
might be part of that, seeing
what's happening with this, that
it looks like the person behind
Riku might also be some
Coinbase employee.
I, I, and I, and
understanding that avalanche has
recently dedicated a lot of
resources to supporting meme
coins, that Solana is thriving
off of meme coins.
These ecosystems understand these
memes represent liquidity and
security and community for their
fucking tokens.
So I would not be surprised if
Coinbase has put out a challenge
to its employees because they've
got a bunch of fucking smart web
three people working over there
at Coinbase.
Why wouldn't you go to one of the
best resources you have to your
own people and say, Hey, just so
you know, we encourage y'all to go
use our L2 base and see if you can
spin up a project over there.
Why wouldn't they do that?
If I was Brian Armstrong, or if I
was running base, I would
absolutely be encouraging the
people that work there to go fuck
around and find out because you
know what, you might, you might get
listed on Coinbase if you create a
cool enough fucking meme coin or
token or NFT project or whatever it
You know, I heard, and this is just
do your own research.
And I heard, I read, I heard
someplace in all these rooms over the
last weekend that at AVAX, Avalanche
and Immutable X are looking to have
some announcements this week.
So just listen for the
announcements.
See what happens.
Love that.
I actually started buying a little
bit Immutable X last night and I
think I'm going to buy some more
because I think I, I still don't own
any Ronin and I feel underexposed to
the gaming meta.
Last week, last week or two, I've
been saying, I think web three
gaming has been under the radar.
Meme coins have been front and
front and, uh, in focus and web
three gaming, I think is simmering
and it's, it's going to come back in
a big way.
Excuse me.
And I just, I feel like the web three
gaming meta is about to start picking
up in the next month or two.
So again, as far as where the puck's
going, zigging, when people are
zagging, uh, it might be a good time
to be looking at some of the, the
plays that you think will do very,
very good, uh, in general.
I'm not, I'm not even prescribing any
specific like games or anything right
now, but like just any of the plays
that you think are definitely going to
If gaming does well, if web three
gaming does well, you might want to be
looking in that direction, not financial
All right.
I said this one.
I, I think this is alpha again.
Who knows?
Hey, Hey gift.
I don't know if you know it, but
Mo's got her hand up.
Oh, sorry.
Go ahead, Mo.
No, he knows.
No, I actually had, I had scrolled
away from, from the page.
I didn't see it.
So go ahead, Mo.
Um, speaking of base and zigging
while everyone's zagging, um, I
don't, I know, you know, cause you,
you meant it the first one, but I
launched a collection on base on
Friday, exactly a week after, um,
Nick's infamous, you know, the
first video that he posted.
And so on that day I started, I
started doing these silly, like
AI generated very, you know, medium
effort pieces of art.
Uh, but it was really fun and I did
69 of them.
So for the price of a coffee, you
can, you can mint one of these
pieces, um, and they're hilarious.
And so, uh, the zigging while everyone
is zagging, you know, uh, my tagline
is life is full of choices.
Choosing rich is just one of them.
So anyway, check it out.
I'm pretty sure I got token one on
that by the way.
Uh, yeah, you did.
You got rich, which is, which is
hilarious.
Pinned up at your mom's house.
Mo dropping some AI art on base.
Love that.
I also dropped droppers on base, as
you mentioned.
So yes, again, very bullish, trying
to be early over there, zigging
while everyone's zagging.
And, uh, yeah, I think that's your
first AI project.
It's also, yeah, there's, I just
That's what it's all about.
Actually, I think they get, they
get better, um, the higher up the
So you're telling me I should have
waited and gotten 69 instead of
token one.
It's a meme.
It's a meme.
It's a meme.
Um, yeah, I mean, NFTs in general
are like the ultimate zig while
everyone's zagging right now.
Again, I said, I met a young, a
young fella, a young college bro,
young college crypto bro going to
USC at Soho yesterday and he's
buying board apes right now.
Uh, so yes, we, we will hit
NFTs before we jump out of here.
I'm trying to wrap up that meme
coin convo on base.
I mentioned blue.
I mentioned normie.
I mentioned Riku and then the other
three that are like sort of, I guess
the highest conviction plays that
you've probably already heard
everyone talk about, but I'll say
them here.
Those are Mochi, Toshi and Brett.
Those are three of the earliest meme
coins on base.
All pretty well established.
Uh, I am extremely bullish on Mochi.
I have a fair amount of Toshi.
I have zero Brett, but I'm watching
it and I'm, I want to get some, I
think it's doing a giant head and
shoulders pattern.
So I'm like watching this retrace
that it's on, uh, and I have sort of
a, a buy-in area, a buying price or a
buying zone and it's not there yet.
So I hope it keeps dipping so I can
get some Brett, but I'm definitely
exposed on Mochi and Toshi.
On get on that, that little moment
of, of what you said, getting some
Brett, how, if you can go through how
to bridge to base and transfer, get
the conversions and everything
tomorrow, that would be cool too.
Great, great questions.
Great points.
I will say one thing that I learned,
uh, later on in the process of
launching droppers, uh, literally
after it had like already minted
out, I learned this, I wish I knew
it before.
So I could have been telling
everybody, um, there's two ways
that I know to bridge and one of
them saves you a bunch of money.
So like you can, you can go to just
the base bridge.
It's like base.org bridge and you
can bridge your, your, your ETH over
to base that way.
And that's great, but it does cost
you gas, which, you know, we've,
we've seen gray spiking over the
last couple of weeks, especially
with mean coins going crazy and it
can cost you like 50, 60, 70, 80
bucks if gas is high to do that
So not terrible, but it's not great.
If you go, I could just interject
That's because it's on the, on ETHL
too, right?
It is an Ethereum layer too.
So yes, you're sending ETH over
there and you transact with ETH on,
on, on base.
Base does not have his own token.
I'm going to get more into this
tomorrow, Kerry.
I'm trying to give you the quick
stuff now, but like the one thing I
want to get to, it's really
important right now.
Again, we're going to, we'll do a
deeper dive on all this tomorrow,
but if you send your ETH and you
bridge it from the Coinbase app, if
you, if you go to send ETH on
Coinbase to your like MetaMask
wallet, what they're doing now is
they're asking and they're being
like, Hey, would you like to bridge
Cause again, Coinbase gets to do
It's their fucking L2 and they're
trying to encourage people to start
using it and they can just fucking
integrate straight into Coinbase app
like that.
So if you send it and you bridge it
this way, they cover your fucking
So that 50, 60, 70, 80, $90 sometimes
that you would have to spend to bridge
Otherwise, if you do it from the
Coinbase app right now, they cover
It is free.
If you, if you say, yeah, let me go
ahead and bridge some ETH right now.
So that's fucking legit alpha that I
wish I knew sooner.
Cause it would have saved me a couple
hundred dollars and probably
another wallet, a Coinbase wallet.
Uh, well through the Coinbase app or
probably the Coinbase wallet too.
If, if, if you go again, like, like
you're just sending it to your
MetaMask wallet, like you're just
sending like normally how you would
buy ETH on Coinbase and send it to
your MetaMask or something like that.
You can't buy ETH on Coinbase.
You have to go to their wallet.
That, I don't think that's true at
I'll have to go look again.
I've been, I've been buying and
trading ETH on Coinbase forever.
Howdy, GD.
So yeah, I don't think that's true.
Uh, the point is if, if you're
sending it out, like you normally
send it from Coinbase to your
MetaMask wallet, it should prompt
you and ask you if you want to
And that is the superior way to
bridge right now because it saves
So, all right, I hit that.
I think Shia was the one that
brought that up.
So yeah, I see Shia down there
throwing up a thumbs up.
Shout out to you, sir.
Uh, again, this community is
amazing when it comes together
and shares, uh, knowledge like
that because this space can be
treacherous.
All right.
Uh, I, I, I think I hit
everything I wanted to hit on
meme coins.
We're going to do a deeper dive
So come on back, follow web three,
follow me, gift ed up here.
Your humble web through Sherpa,
AKA the Goku of Ethereum.
Also on say now.
Uh, but yeah, follow me, follow
web three, come on back tomorrow.
We'll do a deep dive on trading
meme coins, but all right, I want
to hit a couple of headlines
real quick and then we're
going to wrap it up.
Normally we would be over on
NFT live right now, but that's
not happening today.
So we're going a few minutes
Thanks for hanging out with us.
Y'all appreciate it.
Love to see y'all here.
Especially thanks to our amazing
co-hosts and contributors up
Give them some love.
Give them some follows.
Uh, cake Nygaard.
Also want, I want to throw this
out since we're hitting, uh,
Cake Nygaard is about to mint
little puppets on ordinals.
We are giving away a couple
of whitelists.
We got gifted five whitelist
spots to give away to the
community.
We're going to announce the
winners this evening.
Uh, that is on the web three
If you scroll, you can find
that you can still get in on
Uh, quite a few entries, but
we're, we're going to get to
give away at least five
whitelist spots for that.
But that's happening, I think
And if you have any cake
Nygaard NFTs, which I know a
lot of people in here do, I
believe you can go register in
the caked world discord and get
on that whitelist for owning his
Um, so yeah, do that.
Cause again, I think little
puppets is minting on ordinals
Pretty sure.
Uh, all right, let's hit the
dog with hat thing real quick.
So dog with hat NFT sold, I
think on foundation.
Let me find it.
I'm going to pull it up real
Here we go.
Dog with hat meme coin.
The original image from the
original photographer has sold
as an NFT for 4.3 million,
4.3 million dollars.
This just happened.
This is one of the big stories
of the day.
One of the biggest NFT sales in
a minute, uh, but shows you
again, we're, we're definitely
still very early in this cycle.
Uh, so yeah, the, the dog is
named Achi, I guess, but this
iconic photo that became the
meme dog with hat, uh, just
And, uh, yeah, it's over 1200
ETH, 1210 ETH.
Um, yeah, it was a three day
So it was happening over the
A bunch of people were watching
it was on foundation and yeah, I
mean, there's nothing else to say
about that.
Like again, they, they did
recently also raise over 600 K.
Uh, it sounds like Carrie's
saying that there's still some
contractual issues that are
working through, but likely I
think we'll be getting dog with
hat that image that just sold on
the Las Vegas sphere.
Uh, so that's, that's just a
crazy story.
If anybody has anything else to
add to it, we don't have to
spend any more time on it, but
we had to talk about it.
Um, cause that's, that's
All right.
Nobody's got anything to add to
Another thing that's breaking
that we have to mention.
Um, so we, we hit this at, or
we didn't get to hit this
cause I think it happened after
the last GM web three of last
It was like a sad sort of end of
week announcement.
Starbucks Odyssey, their sort of
beta NFT program is shutting
It's sunsetting as they say in the
tech world.
Um, it does seem like, and
again, if anybody can fill in any
blanks on this one, cause I, I
have not looked as deeply into
it as I should, but it does
seem like they're saying there
might be some other additional
things coming in April.
So I, I'm not convinced that
this is the end of their web
three journey for Starbucks.
It might just be the end of this
like stamps thing, which again,
you know, they said it was in
beta the whole time.
So I guess the hope is that they
got some learnings.
They created some, you know,
some early first Starbucks
NFTs and they're just going to
sort of shift their strategy and
try some new things.
I guess that would be my hope,
but we really don't know.
I do think it's, it's sad because
man, you know, we've been
covering this shit for a long
And I think there was, there was
a very different time.
Like there's a different timeline.
Let's imagine this.
There's a whole different timeline
that exists out there somewhere
where Polygon is doing
incredibly well, where Reddit
NFTs and dot swoosh and
Starbucks Odyssey became the
sort of like standard bearers of
what it looks like for big web
two brands to integrate into
web three.
And they become just absolutely
massively successful.
Everybody loves them and they
just keep building out their web
three initiatives, initiatives
and providing a ton of value to
community holders and collectors
and new fun ways.
And it becomes like sort of the
future of, of how they engage
with, uh, the community and
provide value back.
Like, I don't know.
There's another timeline where
Polygon is just fucking killing it
with these things, but we don't
live in that timeline.
Like we're in a timeline right now
where, uh, Starbucks Odyssey is
sunsetting.
This Reddit seems to have sort of
been walking away from any sort of
web three stuff.
Uh, I'm, I'm almost entirely sure
that a lot of this has to do with
their IPO that is still happening.
Uh, they just don't want any
association with web three right
now, even though like, you know,
a bunch of people over there now
actually like, like, like they did
such a good job of converting a
toxic community into believing in
the, in the virtues of
decentralized ownership.
And then they basically rugged it.
I mean, I know we overused the word
rug, but they literally like within
about a month span said, we're
going to be like supporting these
tokens and shit.
And they watched a bunch of NFTs and
we're all gung ho and then like
pivoted away from it.
So I don't know.
It feels like Reddit kind of rugged
their community on their web three
promises, which sucks to say.
but yeah, uh, Reddit
IPO is supposed to still
happening, uh, this
year, Reddit's IPO
as much as five times
oversubscribed.
I'm trying to find the date.
It was supposed to happen late last
year, but anyway, what's the point?
The point is, I think that a lot of
the reason why Reddit has, has
walked away from a lot of their web
three promises is because of this
They just don't want to have to deal
with regulatory scrutiny around any
of that shit as they're going
But yeah, so there's another
timeline where all this shit works
out and Polygon is a fucking total
Chad and one of the best L2s, but
they just, I don't think innovated
fast enough.
And now there's a bunch of L2s that
are eating their lunch.
Um, like what is Polygon now?
I know they're doing other shit and I
know that like there's still some
cool stuff happening in that
ecosystem, but I also know a ton of
people that were building and me
being one of them in terms of people
that were like excited about what
they were doing and seeing a bright
future for them as sort of like
this, this brand platform provider.
You know, I just see them as, as a
great B2C play, but I don't think
they ever even really owned that.
So in this timeline, unfortunately, it
seems like Polygon, a lot of their
projects are struggling.
Starbucks Odyssey, Sunsetting, will
they do something else?
We're going to have to find out.
But the other breaking news to add
context onto this now is of course
choose Rich Nick, NFT Nick up here.
Um, he says that Nike might be
shutting down Artifact.
And this is following.
Yeah, go ahead.
We should definitely get into that
deeper tomorrow.
Like, I think it needs to be discussed
in general, like a deeper.
Yeah, I mean, we can discuss it right
now for a minute.
What are your thoughts?
Um, I have a lot of thoughts, but, um,
I just, I think that it's, it's an
interesting play because I just don't,
I just don't know how, do you know
what the sales were like for the shoes
and stuff?
Is it art?
It's Artifact, right?
I mean, or is it, we could, we can
look at, we can go.
So this is, this is where it gets a
little bit confusing, convoluted.
So I think dot swoosh is its own
sort of collection slash brand
underneath Nike.
I don't think that dot swoosh
necessarily goes away, but, but we
could be wrong.
If dot swoosh is being spun out of
Artifact, like clearly dot swoosh
is already in a tough spot.
I literally, my, the first thing
that I did when the Starbucks
odyssey news broke end of last
week is I went and I tweeted, I
like a quote tweeted the
announcement and I tweeted at dot
Hey, dot swoosh, you okay?
Because that was the first thing that
came to mind is I was like, oh no,
like dot swoosh has been silent.
They haven't been doing that much.
They've like dropped some shirts,
but like they were supposed to
launch their marketplace for their
They never launched the
marketplace.
Then they sort of like disowned it.
They said, oh, there'll be some
third party that can handle it
You've never even been able to buy
and sell and trade Nike's NFTs that
they fucking launched, launched the
OF ones, all that shit.
You've literally never even been
able to trade them.
So like clearly like dot swoosh got
off to an amazing start and then is
just like, I don't know if it's the
regulatory uncertainty and they
don't know how they're supposed to
handle this shit, but they haven't
really been able to deliver much
over the last year.
And so that was literally the first
place my head went was like, oh no,
does this mean dot swoosh is also
fucking sun setting?
So I guess, I guess for me beyond,
you know, being able to purchase
really cool shoes, it's like, where's
the value being driven back to the
token holders.
And so I think that for a lot of
these projects, especially ones that
have IRL utility, I think that there
needs to be some of that being
driven back to the holders.
Yeah, absolutely.
And again, then you get into this
territory of like, well, is that a
That's the problem here is they don't
know the rules because our fucking
government's dragging their feet.
they're literally ruining so much
innovation and opportunity in the U.S.
right now.
So is this when Clonex is going to
So I literally have the chart for
Clonex pulled up in front of me and
that's where I was going next.
Clonex, if you look at the one month
chart, is just down only.
It's not good.
It's not good.
They're down to half an ETH floor right
This was a blue chip.
This is, quote unquote, a blue chip.
Was a blue chip.
I don't know.
It's maybe a purple chip.
Maybe it's it's a.
I got a homie out here who's going to
get wrecked so hard.
I feel bad right now.
Yeah, we all have friends in this
shit, man.
You're not alone.
I feel you.
I got several friends that own
Clonex's that that were super
fucking amped up.
Nike bought artifact for a billion
dollars, y'all.
This is just like a year, year and a
And now they're fucking closing it.
Again, I don't even know if this is
confirmed.
Nick, Nick is sharing this out like it
So we're kind of taking his word on
this that he has some inside info
because I haven't seen this anywhere
But assuming that this is true and
Nike is going to shut artifact down
after acquiring it for a billion
dollars in late twenty twenty one or
early twenty two, this is a man.
Artifact was one of the greatest
Web three native companies.
This was one of the biggest success
stories in all of Web three.
So that's like really fucking harsh
or that's hard for, I think, a lot
of people in the space.
If that happens, they had a huge
ecosystem, ton of assets, a lot of
promises, a lot of expectations.
And so this is this is rough.
And I think you're right, Mo.
We can talk a little bit more about
tomorrow, but I'm I'm getting into a
little bit here.
So if any of y'all have anything else
to say about it, please do.
But if this is the case, this sucks.
And yeah, Clonex for is dipping.
You're asking about the shoe sales.
I know that a lot of it is on chain.
So like I'm going to go and see if I
some of their shoes.
Because, yeah, I know a lot of them
they've actually sold with NFTs.
So maybe we can get an idea.
But yeah, I mean, they had the
monoliths that had the
the vials,
Nike Dunk, Crypto Kicks.
I mean, there's like
thousands and thousands of different
tokens, you know, that are out there
and they're part of this ecosystem.
I mean, it'd be super interesting to
kind of compare, say, like
penguins, pudgy penguins
besides something like this
and see, you know, like what
they're doing right.
Yeah, I'd be very interested in that.
I mean, they definitely raise tons of
You know, there's definitely they had a
lot of sales, man.
They had a lot of people believe
there's there's almost 7000
ETH on secondary
volume on just one of their
artifact clone
forging collections.
And they were selling for like
point two five point three ETH.
Sorry, I'm just trying to get like a
some of the volume that they're doing.
So like they definitely had volume.
They definitely made some money,
but it's just like how much were they
What was their overhead?
Were they just not hitting internal
benchmarks?
Like, I don't know.
Again, this is all we're all kind of
like speculating a little bit based
on this idea that Nike might be
shutting this down.
But either way, again, this is if this
is true, this is a massive hit.
And I'm sure it'll it'll we'll be
talking about it more this week as
people sort of hear about it.
Maybe we get some official
announcements.
It better be true or else Nick
might take a lot of heat for that.
I don't think he cares at this
That's the thing is like I think
he's he's rolling with the troll,
the troll M.O., the troll persona.
Yeah, there's like a whole new
like media show thing, media
property that they're spinning up
called Probably Nothing that he's
I don't know if you also haven't
seen that.
It's also part of the reason why I
think that the Nick token is going
to do well.
It's been very volatile.
I've been playing that over the
weekend, but I don't think it's
going away.
So those of you who want the Nick
token and his big nose to just
disappear, I don't think it's going
to go away.
Unfortunately, I think it's here to
I think the nose has legs.
I'm the first one that said that
if anybody else ever says it, you
know where it came from.
I think the nose has legs, so I'm
going to keep playing that.
I'm going to keep watching it.
I think it's going to be around
and probably do OK this cycle.
All right.
Any other big things you want to
throw in here at the end?
Otherwise, we're going to wrap up
here in just a moment.
We talked about a lot.
Those were some of the bigger
headlines.
Ordinals did start.
Oh, one of the biggest things we
have to throw in here, if we didn't
mention it like we're crazy.
Node Monkeys flipped the board
ape floor.
So Node Monkey is one of the biggest
collections on Ordinals.
Ordinals officially flipped the board
ape floor.
This is a really big deal.
It's definitely a big headline.
And a lot of Ordinals started to fly
again over the weekend.
I'm not entirely sure why, if it's
because like runes are coming.
Like, I don't know why all of a
sudden Ordinals just started picking
Maybe it's because Bitcoin dropped
down a little bit.
And so the people that were like
selling to get back liquid into
their Bitcoin, that sort of sell
pressure is gone.
I don't know.
It's strange because it's like, you
know, you have these sort of like
ebbs and flows in the market.
But like sometimes it's obvious why
it's happening.
Sometimes it's less obvious.
But for whatever reason, Ordinals
really started flying again
yesterday.
Bitcoin puppets crossed 0.25 BTC, I
think, for the first time.
And they've retraced a little bit
right now.
But yeah, nodes sitting over 0.7
Bitcoin and the four prizes above
board apes now.
So that's a big deal.
So are we talking number of NFTs
sold or price?
We're talking in dollar price.
Well, you know, of course,
Bitcoin's more than Ethereum.
Yeah, but this matters because
board apes for a long time have
been the top or second under
crypto books.
Talking two different chains.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, but it's still real value.
Like the way that you compare the
value across all these chains is in
Are we speaking dollars as opposed
to the actual coin?
You know, I guess we are.
One ETH does not equal one Bitcoin.
So you have to find an easily
Everybody understands how to talk
about the value of these things.
Brain dead here.
No, it's fine.
But like people still care about
dollars at the end of the day.
You know, unfortunately, I know.
Fuck fiat.
But like, unfortunately, dollars still
And that's still what we use over
here, isn't it?
Well, and so and when you're looking
at dollar value, it is significant
to have the top, you know, the top
NFT is shaking up, you know, to be
So, yeah, I mean, of course, the
dynamics of the different ecosystems
that they're on, they're in plays a
But in terms of how people are
valuing these things and how they're
moving their liquidity around and
thinking about, you know, a lot of
I think a lot of people have been
selling apes to get into nodes.
And I think I that's part of it.
I think that a lot of that's been
So anyway, ordinals start to fly
I think this is going to be a big
week for ordinals.
We will see none of this is
financial advice.
You already know.
I think I said that enough.
But all right.
That's that is what it is.
Again, speaking of ordinals, only
force the fallen coming soon.
Very excited about that one.
The arts phenomenal.
I think it's going to be one of the
highest quality art PFPs on
And we know that that's a legit
project with a cool team
and a great history.
Great story.
As an only force Ronan, I'm very
excited for that project.
And then, yeah, cake, cake
Nygaard launching Little Puppets.
So that's a couple of things,
a couple of things that I know is
happening this week.
Look out for.
And all right.
Any other last things that y'all
want to throw in here?
The cake one is at point zero zero
zero one five.
I believe it is.
It's relatively affordable.
He's keeping it relatively
affordable.
I thought that was a really nice
change from seeing point three.
You know, it's just thousands of
Yeah, for sure.
Any anything else you want to throw
Before we go.
One quick thing.
Jessica's having a room on Thursday
She has one every Thursday night
called Not Really D-Gen.
It's a lot of fun.
We talk about some pretty crazy
It's not recorded, thankfully.
And it shouldn't be.
Very glad it's not.
Some things should not be recorded.
That's for sure.
It's correct.
And I will be giving away a choosie.
So come enjoy.
Get a choosie.
Love to hear it.
Coming to Cali next week,
if I'm going to hit you up, G.
All right.
Hit me up.
Y'all, I hope you have an amazing
We're going out with a song called
Aftertaste by Loud Luxury and
Morgan St. Jean.
Hope you like it.
Follow me.
Follow yourself.
Follow your heart.
Subconscious.
I'm going to refer to Roger
Dickerman's tweet about memes,
where he concludes that everybody
should just relax.
It's not art or memes, y'all.
It's both.
So everybody,
just relax.
Enjoy the ride.
Study book of meme.
Have a great,
amazing day.
We'll be back tomorrow morning
with more GM Web 3.
That's it.
Stay blessed.
Stay blessed.
Stay blessed.
We'll be moving on,
but you're the one I want.
Crazy that I won't give up on you.
Lying in bed,
I can feel the space.
Tell us can't replace.
Ha, ha, ha.
Plans that we made,
let them go,
let them go to waste.
They're still hunting me.
Why'd you keep me close
enough to love you
and your heart
stay close
to not what you wanted.
Why'd you keep me close
just to let me go?
Even though I know
that you're really going
crazy that I won't give up on you.
Should be moving on,
but you're the one I want.
Crazy that I won't give up on you.
So hold on to your
