Yo, check, check.
What is good?
What's up, Q?
What is up?
What's up, Vert?
CJ, Katz, Fanatic.
Great to see you, GM, everybody.
We're going to get this show started here in just a moment.
Go ahead and go on down and like the show.
Give it a repost.
Do all that stuff.
And we're just going to get it going.
Happy Monday.
All right.
We're here.
We're live.
Hopefully my sound's okay.
I got another adapter here.
I'm going to give it a shot.
What's up, Q?
You there?
How you doing?
I'm doing good.
The Cowboys were playing late into the night.
So, I'm not feeling great, but we ride on.
We ride on.
I just can't wait until the video for X Spaces starts, too, so you can be awake with us at 8 a.m. getting that video going.
I'm going to look amazing.
How's the soundboard?
The mic's a little muffly.
I thought we had fixed that last week.
I thought we fixed it, too.
I don't know what else to do about it, man.
I mean, am I coming through clear?
Or is it completely fucked?
I mean, we can hear you.
But the quality's not very good.
It's all right.
Is soundboard coming through?
Everything's coming through.
I mean, it might be my end.
I don't know.
It just sounds like, I don't know, B minus.
All right.
Well, we're going to go with it for now because I want to have some music.
I want to have some sound effects.
See how this goes.
And so, you know what?
Maybe if it's trash, then when I listen back on the recording, then I'll go another direction.
But that's neither here nor there for now.
As long as you can hear me, then that's good enough.
I'm going to go on down and like the show.
Give it a repost.
Welcome in, Chris Mullins.
Great to see you, CJ.
Awesome to see you.
Oh, I like your trademark banner there.
I actually just announced that I'm giving away a trademark.
So that's something special.
Something I don't feel that comfortable about.
But I want to do it.
I want to do something special for the Coffins holders before that ends because the Coffins
Mint does end this Wednesday at midnight.
So I'm going to give away one of my beloved Jack Butcher trademarks.
And I'm just going to do it.
So that's going to go to one Coffins holder.
Somebody who mints between yesterday and the end.
Each mint is going to count as one entry.
And, yeah, we'll talk more about that a little bit later in the show as well.
GM Kerry Ross, great to see you.
But, yeah, Q, so what ended up happening with the Cowboys?
Give us a quick update on life and your weekend not in Miami, Art Basel.
Yeah, that was tough watching all the pictures and videos of people.
But I'm happy for everybody that went to Art Basel, man.
I'm not pissed at all that we didn't get to go.
So, yeah, that was fun.
I mean, the Cowboys kicked ass last night, which was surprising.
So, but I do hate those Sunday night games because they last until, like, midnight.
So you're just struggling the morning after.
But, yeah, weekend was good.
Staring at charts for the most part.
I mean, staring at some of these tokens that we were kind of degenning into.
Feels like you kind of need to be at the ready.
Yeah, lots of degen and FOMO behavior starting to come back into the market.
And I heard somebody talking about how one of the crazier things that happens, like one of the signs, a signal that maybe the bull market is coming back is that you start to resemble a troll again.
Again, you start to go to the gym less.
You start to maybe shower a little less.
You start to maybe spend a little bit less time worrying about how you're looking because you're just staring at charts all day and all night, not sleeping as much.
And I feel that.
It's so real.
I was doing so good with my health and my fitness and getting to the gym and trying to eat healthy and everything.
And that's like in the last couple weeks.
All that just kind of falls to the wayside, just degenning, trying to make plays.
So, yeah, full troll mode activated.
But, yeah, GM, everybody, happy to have you here on a Monday as we kick off an exciting big week.
I mean, really, it's the last week of the year of shows.
Yeah, I mean, I don't think we're going to really be doing too much next week.
We might do one or two.
We'll see.
We'll kind of play it by ear, you know.
But this is really kind of like the last full week of shows that we're going to be doing of 2023.
And what a year it's been, Nifty Q.
What a crazy year it's been.
How do you feel about that?
Like maybe we should just talk about like retrospective stuff here.
Just like where are we at retrospectively?
God, what a – I'm putting you on the spot, bro.
That's what we do here.
First thing on a Monday morning when you haven't slept because you've been watching Cowboys, I'm going to put you on the spot.
I mean, it's nice to see this energy like to cap off the year.
Nothing was easy.
But I think, you know, we were even back in the day, like in January, February timeframe, you guys were still DJing.
But it was on those open edition metas and everything like that.
So it's been a fun time, man.
I'm glad that we've added Biggie Poppins and Huda in that time as well.
So it's – and other community members.
So I've had a good time.
Yeah, I feel that.
It's been a crazy long year.
But, yeah, definitely some growth, some good things.
A lot of it was definitely just bear market vibes though.
So, you know, it's great to see where we're at right now given where we've been most of this year.
Yeah, you're right.
We were DJing even through that.
And I think another interesting thing was looking back and realizing that really the bear market started like all the way back when Terra Luna and all that stuff like collapsed.
That was really the bear market.
And then we just kept trading, trying to make shit happen for another year past that, pretending like it was all going to be okay.
And, you know, the smart ones just kind of pulled out and are now just entering again, which I think you largely did, Q.
I feel like you deserve some credit for, I think, setting things up pretty well.
I think you're probably – you probably fared better through the bear market than most people, which makes sense since you've been through a couple cycles at this point.
Yeah, it's almost like I, like, blew my load pretty early with the whole ApeCoin staking.
I bought a bunch of, like, MAYCs and a couple other things.
I just, like – not that I ran out of liquidity, but I felt like I had made my move.
So, ApeCoin staking probably made me, you know, kind of pull off a little bit when it came to, hey, the next month, that was when you guys were really getting into the Jack Butcher stuff and a lot of these open additions.
Well, yeah, and that's probably going to pay off nicely for you now.
I'm sure, you know, things are turning around.
ApeCoin climbing back up, getting closer to two.
A couple other just quick things to mention that we'll be talking about today.
Beanie pumping Sugartown auras.
They just went absolutely parabolic after he started talking about them.
Pudgy Penguin metaverse is coming.
The speculation around a token is heating up.
A lot of people feel like this is an indicator that it's almost a sure thing.
Jack Butcher Oviators plus a new Opep in addition.
I mean, Jack Butcher just continues to absolutely kill it.
Oniforce partnering with Shrapnel ahead of their Web3 Strikes Back big tournament happening this Saturday, the 16th.
So, we'll talk a little bit about that.
Of course, we have this Coffins trademark giveaway that I just announced just a moment ago pinned up top in the Xbox for somebody who mints.
Every Coffin minted between now and the end.
The close of the open edition on Wednesday at midnight will count as one entry into winning that.
And then Take the Throne Ultimate Gift-a-thon also happening Wednesday night.
And that's going to be big.
It's going to be a ton of fun.
You don't want to miss out on that.
We're going to be doing so much with that.
Awesome partners.
But yeah, ladies and degenerates, welcome.
This is GMWeb3.
It's the greatest morning show ever invented.
We're just kicking off another big week here.
It's December 11th.
Already joined by my amazing co-host, NiftyQ up here, Mr.33.
It's great to see you.
And some of our favorite friends in here.
What's up, Jen?
Great to see you.
Quantum Variant.
Also, we got all the Quantums in here already as we kick things off.
And I'm going to try and actually play some music and start this properly this morning.
We'll see how this goes, man.
Again, we're still kind of fixing this new, I don't know, this new audio situation.
So we're going to try this out.
Hopefully it sounds all right.
This is a new song that I discovered a week or two ago that I've been playing on repeat.
I absolutely freaking love it.
It's called Mwaki by Zurb and Sophia Nzau.
Hopefully you can hear that.
Q, you can hear that?
All right.
All right.
We'll be back in one minute.
Share out the room.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
oh baby that is muaki by zurb new song that i'm absolutely loving hope you liked it too y'all
we are back on a monday morning with some of our favorite friends shout out ricky o'donnell
great to see you there gm welcome on in what's up neil cats so awesome to have y'all here as we kick
things off gm jeff jagger welcome to the stage welcome to the show gmtm how's it going so good
oh my gosh so good by the way thank you so much for picking up that uh open edition that was that
was really awesome to see especially on my birthday it was it was awesome had to do it man i mean i
always want to support you know when i can uh you know it's been it's been rough times uh over the
last year not gonna lie but i try try and support everybody that i can in whatever ways that i can
but especially on your birthday my guy so happy belated also to you and no we're not going to
sing you the birthday song i know that's disappointing but it's just not something
that we do here on this on this specific show nifty q might uh might i don't know sing you
the birthday song on nft live but that's that's up to him i cannot control what he does over there
if it yeah i might not sing it but i have like a fully queued up video for you so if that works then
i got you just stop by okay sounds good if if i could control him it would never happen but you
know i i have zero controls over this man and what he does over there on nft live
uh but yeah let's let's just start getting into some things uh i see you're pinning something up
here from whale.mocha we got some top web the events of the year yeah i mean that leans into the
the conversation you were just trying to have right and i apologize for my my weak answer but
yeah it's it's too i mean everybody's kind of recapping the year it's that time so it's pretty
cool to uh to look back i mean the space moves so quickly we always talk about oh a year is like
five years but dookie dash feels like it was fucking 18 quadrillion years ago um i i i completely forgot
about dookie dash until i saw it in the post um but yeah that was like i think february time frame
yeah that's wild that's wild to think about but you know what all right this is an easy way to ease
into the show today you know with everybody just waking up together hopefully you're caffeinating
getting some coffee and you're excited you know even though you look and see a lot of red today
uh in the market you know a lot of things took a dip there was like 150 mil that was liquidated out
of the market yesterday so it was kind of like a shock there too probably just black rock trying
to fud everything into the ground right ahead of us going home for the holidays and having to see our
family um but you know things are still very much up over the last couple weeks and months
uh so hopefully everybody's in good spirits santa rally seems to have seems to be in effect
um but it is monday morning maybe had a long weekend and and we're just starting off the week
together so you know what this is this feels like a good way to ease into it q so let's let's do this
2023 wrapped up here pinned up in the xbox let's just hit some of these real quick quick little
retrospective to uh get some context going here so january the year started with a banger memeland minted
their captain's collection for over a thousand eth in the days of follow the floor price ran to five
what oh go ahead gif while we do this like let's let's mention the ones that we completely faded so
right right off the bat number faded uh one of the biggest this is gonna be like every single one of
them but yeah so thanks thanks for adding a layer of pain on top of all of the the bear market uh reliving
the whole bear market together here um yes faded yes faded meme land yes all right also in january azuki
released hillumia for their one year and i i didn't not know anything about this because i
he snuck down there yeah yeah yeah that's pumping his own bags utes announced that they will migrate
to polygon remember that uh that was a good fade faded but bayc launched dookie dash on january 19th
one day after holders were able to mint their sewer passes february the checks mint marked one of the
craziest runs of 2023 which by the way i've heard that the checks pump uh was was the wag me cabal i've
heard from good sources that uh that whole pump behind the checks that really kind of set jack butcher
off on his horse really really watched him to become where he was you know kicked off the the year big
and then he just ran with it but i heard the wag me cabal was behind pumping the checks initially
uh all right so checks mint marked one of the craziest runs of 2023 the free mint open edition
by jack butcher ran to two eth the open edition meta exploded people minted collections with more
than 250 000 supply yeah i probably have one or two of those oh pepin was born another open edition
by checks artist butcher super bowl was taking place and digidaigaku aired a multi-million dollar ad
the qr code redirected people first to a free mint then to gabriel laden's x profile
so controversial i just remember people being like so upset about that i guess yeah in this time
everybody was just literally finding anything and everything to get upset about but uh all right
first blur airdrop and dominance uh basically thereafter also started i guess in february there
doodles launched duplication on the flow blockchain oh talk about things that hurt to talk about
my my duplicators uh that was one of my biggest misplays i've had many misplays at this point
but aping into duplicators that was that was definitely uh one of them
but uh here we go doodles launched duplication on the flow blockchain uh yeah you're hey whatever
happened to doodles 2 nobody's talked about that uh february was also the month of the ryan carson flux
controversy ah yes carson then left web 3 and quit his nft community daily dose dookie but is he back
isn't he back somebody said he's back dookie dash golden key was sold for 1.6 mil wild all right we're
only just getting started we're moving into march all right we're gonna try to speed this up and get
through this march meta removed nfts from its platforms uh they'll be back i still think they'll
be back uh there were first rumors of an amazon nft marketplace oh yeah still haven't seen that
youth bridge to polygon and the gods to ethereum the second other side trip took place at the end of
march that feels like forever ago too when next trip yeah let me hop in here too because there were
there were a lot of people talking about the pudgy world trailer and i i think they're doing a
fantastic job i think there's a lot of bad takes that i'm seeing on the timeline from some apes but
for the most part i think most apes are excited to see another ip get this much love uh but like i think
people are kind of glossing over the fact that board apes were were attempting this this merge of
and you could probably do a better job of explaining it but this merge of like ip into
gaming and into different media forms like i think 10 ktf uh and board ape were one of the
first that i've seen that that really did this and i i think people are giving pudgy penguins a lot of
credit for not recreating that playbook but kind of like using that playbook and evolving off of it
so i don't know if that's kind of a boomer what's your i mean the the saying goes that first one over
the wall gets shot isn't that what you always say something like that i mean look they've pioneered so
much of the space for for i for web3 native ip and brands and all of this and yet you know whenever
things aren't aren't looking good they're gonna get shit on now we don't have to spend too much time
on that right now but i did hear uh anecdotally that in basil uh you know the pudgies are now
pudgies are the new like kings in in town you know they're getting all the respect
that board apes used to be used to be getting probably at basil's past uh you know well deserved
uh all right animoca brands launched mochaverse as their flagship project also in march knock amigos
minted and dominated the timeline faded faded both of those faded
uh fueled by beeple art oh yeah beeple and his controversial nakamigos artwork april chiru labs
announced line friends partnership again what the fuck is that doing in here bro uh sorry yeah this
is this is apparently just a way to to fit a bunch of unimportant muzuki updates that nobody cared about
in the first place into this but all right that's fine uh imaginary ones launched bubble rider openc rebranded
its aggregator gem to openc pro and launched the gemesis collection fueling rumors of a token airdrop
as we know today wrongly so all right may in may bitcoin ordinals started their run collections
exploded the whole timeline was talking about it people started changing the background of their pfps the
orange also people have sent ben diet eth millions of usd in the middle of a meme coin run
oh god pudgy penguins released pudgy toys all right so that was in may
so it's really just been six months since pudgy toys launched and they've been killing it lebron
wore artifact sneakers blur introduced nft lending june azuki las vegas event took place on june 23rd their
new collection elementals announced during the event didn't fulfill the expectations yeah that's
a nice way of putting it again this this this is this is like rewriting history in azuki's favor i think
uh many people were over leveraged creating a death spiral of blur liquidations
ah yes a lot of blur liquidation death spirals uh throughout the whole year uh ether long one of
the most anticipated mints flopped and had to cut supply and price ringers 879 goose sold for 5.4 million
machi sued zach xbt over defamation who then collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in
donations which were later refunded that was a wild part of the timeline uh july captain czar was
revealed after seven months discussions about art and the customizable pf customizable pfp approach x
started creator payouts for ad revenue share thread guy changes pfp after a week-long discussion
three digit offers by board elon musk and luca nets and finally a tradition by jack butcher the open
edition based on butchers opeppen was minted 74 300 times i got a couple of those too uh open c announced
to move to zero percent royalties in 2024 yugo labs reacted criticized the move and announced its own
marketplace to gods 3 launched and received a lot of criticism after initial excitement points parlor was
not considered scalable the art upgrade was not what many had expected bitcoin ordinals reached an
all uh atl all-time low trading volume uh i i'm i'm used to seeing ath all-time high atl all-time low
trading volume after the big run a few months ago that's when everybody thought is are our ordinals dead
faded faded ordinals largely also the frantech and social frenzy began september
all right we're getting close to the end here pudgy penguins announced that pudgy toys are available
in walmart's creating a lot of hype other side gave more info about codas and introduced cotamaras and
mars together with legends of the mara their new game also the 95 of nfts are worthless article was
published which was spread in numerous mainstream media outlets uh yes peak fud october new mid started to
be profitable again first signs of an upcoming nft bull run at zuki announced garden tour
ztx gives huge value to their holders with their ztx token airdrop didn't know anything about that
missed that one flooring protocol launched a fractionalization marketplace for nfts meme
coin farming on x began leading up to the meme coin drop which ended up becoming a huge success
entering the market at 250 million dollar market cap we should follow up on meme coin
november the month of the second blur airdrop and the announcement of blast people locked up thousands
of eth to farm the next isn't that up to almost a billion dollars now q
yeah i think it's it's the last update they gave like the last official update was like 870 i think
or like this is wild i can't yeah yeah it's a lot of money and and it's a lot and you you always like
to look at like hey it's gonna be crazy when they just like unlock all this liquidity but i i just think
that they've got all this locked up in their ecosystem and it's like never coming out
because they're they're just gonna keep finding new ways to like spin you into something else
like that's what he's good at and he's just gonna keep growing it you just you gotta be careful with
the way that you say this in your assumption here because the way that you say it's like they're not
they're gonna like extend the lock for another three months and not tell anybody which would be
not very well they could for the plot dude the blur air the blur airdrop stuff took forever
like yeah but i agree with you but i don't know how much was like locked i don't think that that was
based on locking value into the protocol so they there's so much positive sentiment that it would
like literally kill them to to say hey by the way you can't take out your eath for another three months
yeah i don't know man he'll just promise some other kind of like additional apy on top of that like
i don't know he just seems to be so good at like the pr and just like spinning people's
you know his their opinions positively by just offering some new way to get a dope of dopamine
hit or some additional yield of some token so i i don't know man i it's just gonna be crazy to see
what's supposed to happen when this billion dollars of eath is is quote unquote supposed to be unlocked i i
i don't know uh so anyway uh meme coin success ignited a run in other nft ecosystems with upcoming
token drops grapes ran from 0.1 to 4 eath faded god damn more things faded that hurt faded hurts
oh when the three gaming became the hot topic in the nft space simpsons episode about nfts mocha id
watched infamous nft account came back to instagram with a community council whoa i didn't even know this
did y'all know at nft is back on instagram with a community council i mean this just happened pretty
recently and big controversy due to past promotional activities well yeah that's why they got removed in
the first place whoa i did not know about that december web3 gaming run in full swing soul nft run
led by mad lads pudgy penguins introduced pudgy world that's like breaking news basically just the last
couple days uh the one thing in here that definitely stands out is like not in that like should have
been included was zynga sugar town another one faded um but there you go there's like the year
retrospective uh you know we we got through it hopefully that was relatively quick and we can move
into the news here but you know it is that time of year count our blessings think back maybe we can learn
some things like for instance i'm trying my best not to fade this champions tactics thing even though
i'm probably going to miss it somehow because i don't want to grind in discord um but yeah share out
the room if you haven't already gmd you all it's great to have you here with us as we get things going
on a monday morning uh what's up ronin great to see you rebecca rose hopefully your knee is feeling
better very sorry to see that you were injured and couldn't make it to basil that sucks very sorry to
hear that hopefully you're you're feeling better but it's great to have you with us feel free to
come up and hang out with us we do have space on stage if anybody wants to come up and hang out by
the way don't be shy come on up and kick it with us if you'd like uh as we move into some of the more
recent headlines uh but yeah thanks for sharing that and uh yeah any other thoughts on that retrospective
you yeah i mean when like if you look back maybe we're in 2026 right and you we look back at 2023 i
think ordinals is probably going to stand out if open sea doesn't make it another couple years which
i'm not as bearish on the open sea just like completely dying a lot of people are kind of
predicting that that they'll just cease and close up shop i'm not predicting that but i think it is the
year blur uh kind of took control of the market and maybe just like signaled the the end of you know
open seas dominance so that's looking back i i think that uh will stand out and then to end the year
probably like this we'll probably look back and say oh yeah that that gaming narrative it started
end of q4 like that's when we really got our first step going in that direction so that's what i'm
seeing and then i guess dude generative art had a absolutely phenomenal year rafiq yeah rafiq wasn't
in there that's that's a crazy one definitely there was not really much talk about generative art that's
a good call seems like a miss uh jeff jack what do you think anything stand out to you
about the whole year yeah it should have been included that wasn't included
oh i just think this year was uh um was a long hard walk through the desert
i mean i i don't disagree but man it sounds dark uh yeah i mean it has you know it has been a rough
year and so shout out again to all of y'all who are still here who kept the faith uh i'll tell you i i
definitely have had plenty of moments throughout the last uh year where i wasn't sure how i would
keep going or what i was doing um because yeah so a long hard walk through the desert uh yeah i feel
that man i'm glad you're still here jeff jack glad i'll go here i got lots of plans i'll be at the uh
take the throne i'm gonna be on there let's fucking go what's up q yay though i walked
through the shadow of pudgy uh yes no fun ezekiel four two zero six nine
that's my my favorite my favorite psalm uh anyway all right here's a big
here's a big story uh rug radio and decrypt looks like they are going to be merging uh and i i don't
want to spend too much time on this one uh but it's supposed to apparently happen by like end of
january so it's happening pretty quick and they are they are focused on reinventing and descend like
you know the they're trying to reinvent media you know like we we had new media over the last like 10
to 15 years a big part of web 2 was was quote unquote new media which were all these uh like the
buzz feeds and the vice newses and and all these um internet native social media native news companies
um which now have just become like traditional media too like they're all kind of just driven by clicks on
websites and and uh yeah a lot of kind of like really bad journalism not a lot of standards it's all about
trying to click bait and all that so anyway now we're we're at this this time where there's an
opportunity and that's you know partially why we started web through network too is is it does seem
like media and news is kind of ripe for disruption again uh someone to come and figure out how to do it
better and and you know they're they're going to be leading that charge now combining their forces
uh decrypt is going to be providing some editorial expertise and uh rug is going to be providing more
of the community and they're trying to really focus on like ugc it does seem like they're planning to
launch a token um and you know try and reward people for contributing um so that's kind of the gist of
some of it haven't really looked too much further into it but yeah well i mean do you have any any
thoughts on this again i don't want to spend too much time on it but that is going to be a big thing
to be covering and watching over the coming months what was the lesson that we learned this year
uh not oh god fading the things that maybe we think we should fade that's definitely a big one
um i i learned to trust my or yeah things that i should do more is trust myself and um not fomo
into dumb things when i know that i shouldn't um dude there's yeah but that the opposite of that
happened right like we we were kind of sitting there looking at certain projects and we we trusted
ourself then but it actually ended up being the wrong call so i mean which is standard like everybody
can't hit on everything but yeah isn't there the opposite scenario there for sure they ask you how you
are you just have to say that you're fine you're not really fine but you just can't get into it
because they would never understand yeah all that uh yeah things learned this year i definitely think
that like fading uh free mints from big companies like zynga is is never smart i'll i'll say that one
also uh fake mev bots are are a thing watch out for that don't don't don't try and use someone else's
script uh to watch an mev bot so so there's a learning good morning yeah i'm gary i'm sick
so i'm not going to oh no yeah i'm not going to talk long but um i'm just wondering you know that
tez paul why don't you do something try and start something with your coffins okay try and start
something fun for artists that's very vague uh but i know but i'll take i'll take it you can take
it and if you want go with it what the fuck you know anyways the the tez paul meme i think is an
interesting thing to bring in here right and so i i didn't i didn't look at it very closely so carrie
maybe you can enlighten me i have no idea i'm sick okay and if i keep talking i'll start coughing and i
okay then then don't yeah don't don't do that yeah all right well we're happy you're here we
hope you feel better by the way thank you uh rest up carrie hope you feel better but i'll i'll i'll
fill in the the test i'll i'll um i'll pump the test poll oh wow mm-hmm okay mm-hmm okay my understanding
uh is that it was like basically a bunch of small screens strapped to a pole and that was supposed to
be like their big installation at miami art basil and so everybody part of it okay but everybody
basically i think was like bashing it and then like memeing it to death well because you remember
the photo from nft uh london of those screens just shitty small screens yeah and so and so when when
people showed up with cords everywhere too yeah yeah yeah and so this is uh this is this is the thing
that people were like and and i i guess i'm i'm i think it's this comment is funny i i know nicholas
dimes was one of the first people to post the picture but i don't know who took it um but baking
benjamin's uh was the one i retweeted so that's the one i put up here and so that's the actual photo
and then um and then a lot of people including myself did uh derivative uh tes poll yeah yours is
great yeah yeah i'll pin that one up just to share it um i actually minted it it was the first thing
and only thing i've minted on tes this whole year and i was like you know what i really got to get back
in that i can't have a blank spot in 2023 so i put something up and uh minted three editions and and
kept one and two sold so i was pretty psyched about that nice all right so yeah you can see some uh
some tes poll art up top and the original photo i'm i'm just talking about if you remember the summer
of 21 i mean jeff jeff jagg of course remembers making all these derivatives of these great scenes
and places where um the uh the images could be you know see take where you could take them making it
making it more than what it looks like it doesn't necessarily have to follow your tes poll with all
the art and shit but it you know just the idea of taking it and making it into something more artists
love to create from something you know and um i just just was thinking that that might be fun i mean it
was a if the when the moment looks like it could happen because um that was fun to watch everybody just
get on board with it so i don't know if it can happen with your coffins but you know they're going
to be um ending on the the 13th or 12th or something and you know just wednesday yeah just just a thought
you know something more push it down whatever okay well i'm yeah i mean i'm i'm it's it's my own
ip so i'm gonna do all kinds of stuff with it in the future but uh yeah always open to cool ideas
appreciate that and y'all let's share out the room if you haven't already we're waking up together
kicking off another big week and uh yeah i'd love to get some more friends in here but shout out to
all y'all who are already up in here hanging out with us on this monday uh yeah we have this uh
the pudgy penguins metaverse that we got to talk about here so i i want to make sure that we cover off
on that uh q is this uh oh pudgy important important moments we got another retrospective
or no this is nft live i love it yeah yeah for sure that's the that's the link we'll get to sharing
that here in a moment i before we move to pudgies i mean the one thing i'm i'm seeing with like pixel
mon now coming on board with their token apparently which i'm yeah i haven't dove into i'm not in pixel
mon that's another one shaded uh i do want to take off the dgen hat here like the long-term
repercussions of all these nft projects now apparently launching a token like we've made
it far enough no project has gotten hit by the sec far enough now i guess where tokens are going to
start coming out and i i do think and i saw a post about this this morning that there's not going to be
a lot of winners uh long term to come out of that because you're going to see projects like captains
and you know you could probably throw i don't think you can throw pixel mon in there yet i'm
blanking on projects that have tokens right now but it just feels like something that's not going
to work long term for a majority of projects like we already saw this kind of happen in 21 where
projects were kind of just like trying to do the the mayc thing well milk milk's a good example
yeah but but but really like the meta in 21 was okay let's let's launch a secondary collection
right like and that didn't work for a lot of people and i i think that that's what you'll see
with these tokens now i don't i don't know why we're getting to this point where it's okay to for
projects to launch tokens now i i love it don't get me wrong but i think it's going to end poorly
long term with projects that have no little to no utility for a lot of these yeah it's an interesting
point but some of them will have a lot of utility and i think those are the ones that are going to do
well that are probably more focused on it uh meme you know meme land is an example pudgy penguins might
be an example also some people starting to think that sugar town might be an example as well um
yeah i mean like i i guess the portal and the creeps might be another example of this um you
know we've seen what what that's doing for creeps that narrative that they're affiliated with the portal
coin um and whatever utility that platform is going to have um but yeah i think it's an interesting take
i think you're right i mean there's definitely going to be some losers you know we we know how hard it
is to actually launch a token and sustain any sort of value and not have it just be like a complete
pump and dump or just sort of be like a worthless erc 20 that people are farming for no real good reason
um you know i like i i i always you know i was a fan of ethereals because we you know i was like
friends with the whole team that like launched that project and they had their boo token um and that was
like another example of something that just kind of like never really went that far um and i mean
they like it's no i i like that example it's just extremely hard to pull off like it's hard to just
have a like an nft collection and have it be successful and so i i don't want people to think
like oh like he's kind of fading the the ecosystem token like a governance token everybody go tweet nifty
q at penguins fading the pengus nifty q is fading pudgy penguins bro and unless there's some type of
sec announcement about another project getting you know in the in the sites of of that organization like
there's probably going to be a lot of tokens that come out here when you see pixel mom when you see
pudgy penguins there's going to be other projects that try to do the same thing and it's awesome when the
projects get it right but i i think so few projects actually get it right yeah it's a fair take but
yeah let's talk about pudgies um and yes we do have a link for nft live pinned up top by the way go give
that some love give it a repost i'm gonna do that right now um but yeah they announced their their
metaverse with like a cool video which i've only kind of glanced that so i'm excited to kind of dig a
little bit further into it um today you know you were kind of mentioning that you know they're kind of
getting a lot of credit right now for innovating um ip in in this way but like it is similar to
what board apes have been working on with the other side in a lot of ways um it's just it's just
different in in the target audience really i mean it's more family friendly of course more kid friendly
um but i mean like what are your thoughts like uh i mean it seems like the announcement has been very
well received so far it seems like most of their announcements are very well received um and yeah
again it's just adding to the speculation that there may likely be a token uh associated with this world
i think you hit the nail on the head i'd love to hear other people's thoughts i know it's a big
story in the space right now so i mean what i saw in those trailers was a parallel of what i've
gotten from board api club they just haven't been able to execute outside of dookie dash with the ip
and gaming so pudgy is definitely hitting on all cylinders i think there will come a day when
they have to shoulder the responsibility uh like bayc is right now but but right now they're flying
man i couldn't be happier i actually sold a mutant and bought five little pudgies like i'm i'm i'm all in
you know i'm not all in because i'd have a full grown ass pudgy penguin but i've got five little
pudgies so i'm not fading it that's hardcore that's hardcore all right i'm pinning this up top i found
the video i just called pudgy penguins hardcore it's it's a really high quality video i'm kind of you know
re-watching it now and the animation is phenomenal the characters look amazing uh you know this is
this is kind of um everybody talks about like the sort of animated uh cinematic trailers for games
versus actual gameplay this is definitely the the more cinematic version you know the gameplay
probably won't look anything like like how high quality this is um but it gives you a sense of what
the world will look like coming to life um it says pudgy world alpha powered by zk sync so that's
interesting uh releasing q1 of 2024 so promising it in the first quarter of 2024 beginning of a new era
of blockchain backed experiences with the goal of onboarding millions brought to you by pudgy penguins
blockchain backed experiences it's a new uh turn of phrase i don't think we've heard just yet
uh but uh yeah videos pin up top if y'all haven't seen it i'm walking back to experiences
that's me i don't know what that means jeff but that's what i've been telling people i'm when i
meet them now i just introduced i am jeff jagg blockchain backed experiences it's i mean
as far as winners from 2023 i mean pudgy is absolutely just one of the top winners it's like
jack butcher rafiq anadol and pudgy penguins like lucanets like those those three things stand out
to me as like the biggest winners and then maybe there's just like ordinals generally speaking and
solana as like just like other ecosystems that have turned out to to fare pretty well here um
but given that they only just launched the toys in in like may and the way that pudgy was able to
actually like grow their community increase sentiment increase floor price and build a
ton of brand equity through the bear and they've literally stayed in the headlines
pretty much every single week i mean it's it's absolutely insane the amount of different
announcements and and the work that's being done behind the scenes one of the other pieces of
speculation around the pudgy penguin token rumor that that does make sense is that it would be the most
obvious way for luca nets to cash out right i mean he he invested in it and he bought the company as a
business um obviously like he he wants to make money at some point uh from all this work that he's doing
and you know there would be big demand for a pudgy penguin token uh you know q you're talking about
you know a lot of them a lot of these uh nft project tokens probably won't do very well but if any
of them have a chance of doing very well and having like a massive liquidity event it's gonna be pudgy
penguins um and yeah that makes sense to me right as a founder if if you can do it legally right i mean
i guess that's that's still the one big question mark that you're alluding to is like how are projects
going to be doing this legally without just becoming the next target of the sec or are are they realizing
that at this point like regulations are going to be coming and it's just going to be cost of business
even if they if they have to deal with like fines the amount of money that they can make from a big
token watch maybe it's worth it you know a lot of businesses operate that way where it's just cost of
doing business like to get to get fines you know they just kind of factor in like oh 10 to 20 percent
30 percent something like that you know we'll go make a billion dollars and then we'll pay some fines
um but we're but we're still up you know um yeah biggie poppins makes a great point about
board api club a lot and i'm not going to sit up here and stand for yuga much longer i promise but
he was talking about their kind of ongoing case with the sec around apecoin uh and clearly
bayc and yuga have enough money to fight this unlike a lot of smaller projects in the space so
if something positive comes out of that litigation that would be incredibly bullish for the space but
you know we we don't know what the result of that will be yet and i i'll i'll say what like one last
thing about pudgy penguins i love that they're doing this because and i post about this on friday but
like a lot of naysayers are like nfts were a product of this like confluence of situations around
covid and stimulus checks and all that stuff and it's clearly fucking not right like clearly
you're using this can this can happen again uh and that that disproves that thesis of like
hey we were all inside and metaverses are never going to be a thing it's like okay shut up because
that's that's done pudgy penguins clearly showing us that that that does not exist yeah by the way
your audio is cutting in and out a little bit for me i'm not sure what that is jeff jack are you
hearing q or is q like sort of yeah i can hear him there's uh it seems like it's okay um maybe
it was just a weird glitch on your end okay maybe i'll jump back on yeah maybe we just have a weird
connection going on i don't know man i'm still getting used to this new phone with this weird
connection and maybe it's just all funky uh gm chaz gm neil great to have you joining us oh man spaces are
being super rocky today i had to log in from this account because i can't send a request in any space i've tried
all morning for my other account so like i don't know what's going on with like with spaces dude
yeah i think it i think it might just be my audio um no like like the spaces are being really buggy
right now like seven certain accounts can't even request to go up interesting all right well thanks
for reporting live i hope you're doing well uh gm neil how you doing welcome uh good um interesting
conversation about tokens and legalities and cost of doing business um are you aware of any
projects i'm guessing basie probably has it and maybe pudgies um but that the owners or the llc
was able to obtain um any insurance uh to basically protect their executives specifically directors and
officers um insurance so that if and when fines um do come down there is some sort of kind of backstop
um to help with any uh uh fines um or anything along those lines you know that's a really good question
and i do not have an answer on that one um yeah i i have no idea if if there's insurance for that kind of
thing actually um yeah i mean i i i know when you know web 2 i mean all your you know traditional
companies that's pretty a pretty standard um insurance policy that most companies and llc's
um obtain i'm guessing that that that is probably difficult just due to the nature of business of of
you know an nfc yeah who would want who would want to do crypto insurance you know i i feel like that
would be a very small percentage of people but you know maybe maybe it is like just a niche business
and there might be people that do it out there you know it's just like super high risk they have to
like charge a shit ton but they're like fuck it you know yeah yeah i mean i mean even if you had to
pay you know a hundred grand for like uh you know a two million dollar policy i mean that is probably
worth it if you're launching a token along with a new nft collection because um to the best of my knowledge
you know if if that doesn't exist neil you should definitely launch that because it does sound like
there's going to be a lot of founders in 2024 wanting to launch tokens that are going to want
some kind of protection well it sounds like you think there's going to be a lot of founders and
projects that are going to have fines levied against them then as well so that does sound like a good
cash flow business model absolutely uh great question love it happy to have you joining us up here
um anything else uh in particular that you've been watching that you think we should be chatting about
uh things that yeah um i don't know um i i have some i i own plenty of nfts and and make them and
in crypto and and whatnot um i think there are an extremely few amount of the you know kind of air
quote pfp projects that will actually sustain themselves um i don't think you know most of
the discords that we're in now i mean those things are dead for most of the projects that we ever were
involved in if you've ever checked any of those servers um yeah i'm i'm not sure i mean uh you know
buying an nft to get you know access to something on the premise it sounds great the execution i think
has been extremely poor and for projects that think they're going to generate revenue uh off of you know
commission sales um and whatnot and that shit has just absolutely bit them in the ass um you know going
all the way back to november of you know almost two years ago so um yeah there there needs to be a
little bit of a different model i love the technology of what nfts you know can do and i think there's
still a lot more to be explored with it but you know just rehashing you know the same shit that we saw
two years ago that's just not going to cut it um this time around so um yeah no answers but that's just
kind of my vibe about you know the whole pfp community uh type projects right now right on man
appreciate your thoughts um well all right let's keep it going actually you know q i i did like um
kind of where you're going there with that last uh thought as well if you want to like dive back into
what you're saying yeah just responding to neil as well here like it's tough to have insurance
around these products for the reason that gift had mentioned it's like who would want to take that on
when the regulatory process is so gray like when you here's here's the bullish case for me on nfts
not being seen as a security i love the pokemon card example right like you pokemon or in the company
that backs them is not liable for these things these these selling of pokemon collectibles uh
and and basing that off of pokemon doing extremely well right like that's not seen as a security but
somehow if you digitize that somehow the sec is is making that conflation of saying hey we're you know
that that's somehow and now a security now if you get into the situation of raises right like you
start using nfts to raise funding that's entirely different but you can see even something like a
ubisoft is going the free distribution route and you know they can do different products based on now
having distributed it in probably and i you know quote unquote probably done it in a regulatory
compliant way in this gray area that we find ourselves in so as long as you don't up the launch
like a tom bill you saying hey if you buy these you're going to be a millionaire it's likely there
and i say likely so i'm going to stop talking now but it's probably seen as a little bit uh
more positive but sorry jeff we're either no it's all good i wanted to throw a wrench in the mix and and
ask if anyone has any clue of how um a pay what you want model might skew things versus uh free launch
versus paid launch and um and how that changes the calculus from a regulatory point of view
so a dutch auction for erc20s but like no you literally can pay zero or you can pay 20 eth if
you feel like it i don't know if that's a fair watch though at that point because then you get
certain whales and people coming in i i don't know it's an interesting idea i just don't even know how
those things would come together because they're two very different sort of models because you're not
you're not even putting a price on it you're just saying you know hey pay me if you want to
and uh and if you don't have some art thank you uh monday the 18th of december is when reach token
goes up all right this is a this is a breaking uh story here that we'll get to in just a moment
thanks for finding that um but also you know quick just overview of nft market ethereum has
reclaimed the 24 hour uh top slot but quite a lot um 14 over 14 mil on ethereum nft sales in the last
24 hours solana has cooled off quite a bit uh about half that seven mil and bitcoin also about half that
8.3 mil in the last 24 hours so ethereum still uh holding its place as king even though solana and
bitcoin are starting to challenge it more for the top uh in terms of volume and sales this is data
that i'm pulling from crypto slam shout out crypto slam hanging out was down there it's great to see
you in here um so yeah it looks like solana and and bitcoin kind of cooled off a little bit but still
quite a bit of volume over there as well so total nft market even just across those three uh chains
across ethereum bitcoin and solana i mean that's like 30 mil 30 million dollars in volume almost
and they'll just the last 24 hours faded yeah faded all of it um so anyway yeah yeah go ahead no no
no finish up finish up no that's it my guy please jump in
yeah i've seen neil's unmiked as well i didn't know if he had a point but just
like now that i think about that pokemon stuff like where is the line between raising funds and
in revenue uh blur as well because them releasing new pokemon packs could be seen as them raising money
right like if you if you make and yeah i'm getting caught up a little bit in the weeds like i don't
know how far i want to go down that conversation but essentially they're release re-releasing or
releasing new packs of collectibles physical collectibles not digital and they're bringing in
a certain amount of money and so isn't that what these nft projects are doing when they re they
release their secondary collection and they're saying hey we have this ip and you know you pay us
for this and and but but somehow it's being conflated as a raise in in from the sec that's what i'm
hearing you know that's what i'm kind of confused about here is that isn't that along the same lines of
pokemon releasing this new collectible card pack yeah i mean this is this is one of the best arguments
for why nfts aren't a security in general because there's a lot of similar existing business models
out there that do similar things like trading cards um it's it's a very fine line though between like
where where the gambling starts though you know and that's again been shown in in courts uh going after
gaming companies like ea etc for how they do their card packs and people getting people like especially
young people is the major concern they're getting them sort of gambling and speculating on these
digital assets um yeah i don't know man uh we're not legal scholars so i'm not gonna work too hard
wait but wait but wait but wait what about the fact that you have to be 18 to even buy crypto
doesn't that kind of limit it to only adults can really legally participate in nfts yeah i mean
that's a fair point although i'm sure some some people some young people figure out ways around
that too um well those are the exceptions cigarette packs when they're yeah yeah and get people to buy
them booze at the yeah anyway uh all right let's talk about reach real quick because it looks like we
got some breaking updates on the reach token of course tokens are sort of like the the biggest meta right
now whether it's nft projects whether it's new protocols uh just different types of farming
opportunities everybody's trying to farm and figure out like what is going to be the next jito you know
we didn't even really get to cover that too much but jito uh if y'all weren't familiar you hadn't heard
was a a recent airdrop on solana that netted a ton of people um well not even that many actually i think
part of why it's so big is because there actually wasn't that many people farming it but it netted a lot of
people like five and six and even uh yeah five five and six figures um with the recent airdrops so
anyway we we've known the airdrop season was heating up we've been talking about for a while we're
definitely in that kind of full swing now with a lot of other opportunities everybody looking for
what's the next big thing so we're of course going to be covering uh a lot of different ones um
that we're interested in one that i've definitely been farming and i'm interested in is reach so we got
this update up here uh niftyq just found this i'm gonna try and play this video i don't know if
there's gonna be sound here there are three main utilities to the reach token one create missions
reach tokens will be used to initiate missions enhancing your project's online engagement with
measurable results in likes impressions comments and reposts a reach mission receives up to 10 times
more engagement than regular posts two participate in revenue by holding a minimum threshold of reach
you unlock access to our revenue sharing contract token holders will receive 100 of reach platform fees
on a pro rata basis three use reach in your discord leverage the reach platform within your discord server
with a dedicated instance of the application for your community a tiered fee structure ensures that the fees
decrease as the number of tokens you hold increases reach the quality contribution protocol
all right there you go that is the update and reach token goes live on monday 18th of december i'm
i have to say i'm bullish on this and you know what we haven't said this yet today and it's important
for us to always remind everybody that this is not financial advice so let's go ahead and knock that out
we are not financial advisors if you can hear my voice out there just remember nothing that we talk
about on any of our shows on the web through network should ever be misconstrued as financial advice
uh we're just talking about cool on the internet these are all just um the opinions of us up here
and our contributors and this is all public domain information uh so always do your own research etc etc
but that said i am uh i'm pretty bullish on reach because i've been using
it uh their platform and i've been seeing now quite a bit of adoption and interest in it including in
in asian markets uh it's it's really hitting this like social fi meta in an interesting way and it's
integrated into the x platform in an interesting way and then the other thing uh about it is that
it can be sort of like leveraged across other opportunities like portal coin so like it really
picked up when portal coin uh became a thing because everybody was starting to use reach to help them farm
portal coin more efficiently and scale that so what i'm what i'm seeing is like with reach i think there's
a product market fit and i think that there's a lot of potential for anything that's integrating and
gamifying x well um so yeah i i feel pretty bullish about this one because i've been playing
with it i see people using it i see the applications and utilities of it and i see how
it can be like leveraged into other like farming and tokens and and applications as well
i i found your experience with reach and portal coin and using both very interesting because
whenever you talk about d5 i can get it can sound like la la land very quickly like
i i take this token and and put it into this farm and it nets me uh st eth and i take the st eth and i
can you know farm another token and that's essentially what you were doing with social fi right you were
taking one platform and stacking it to gain uh more points on another protocol and that that really was an
example of d5 in a social mechanic is you were just stacking uh in very much like a ponzi i say ponzi in the
nicest way possible here but it was essentially utilizing two protocols stacked on top of each
other or one on stacked on top of the other two you to gain the most benefit i believe the nice way
to talk about ponzi's is calling them ponzus just okay ponzus sounds a social ponzu you're using yeah
yeah it's like if it's like a euphemistic nice term for ponzi cute little ponzu that's all it is
um yeah no you're right um i don't think that these two are like affiliated though
like they don't usually okay well i mean usually when i think about that type of scheme it's like
usually they're they're very clearly affiliated and trying to again just kind of keep the plate
spinning um i think this is like an actual like interesting just uh complementary use cases on the x
platform um that happen to work go hand in hand but yeah maybe you're right i mean again all like so
much of this d5 shit is is kind of house of cards shit right that until it reaches a certain sort of
threshold or tipping point of like users consistent daily active users and people who actually adopt
the tokens and the technologies like they don't actually have much substance to them
yeah a hundred percent uh it's a interesting like convoluted conversation right when you talk
when you start stacking tokens but for example you could probably and i'm being very simplistic here i might
even be a little bit off because i don't stake in lido but you could stake eth into lido get the lido
token or whatever their uh kind of derivative of that staked eth is and then take it over to
you know potentially flooring protocol and flooring protocol could say look you could earn flc
by staking that eat that or that lido staked eth that you got from from staking on lido and you can
use it over here and oh by the way you could earn flc by doing that and then you could take flc and you
can put it into this other thing and you can see how it stacks up very quickly but those protocols
don't need to be uh assigned the they just need to be offered by somebody yeah that's a fair point i
feel like the people that do it well actually make a killing but yeah most people just lose their ads
like me trying to figure it all out and not actually understanding how any of it works at all
uh anyway gm jawa how's it going welcome gm going well uh i'm i'm excited about reach i think that
discoverability has been such a problem for everybody in web3 that uh i think providing
actual discovery to projects could be very cool i'm i'm always nervous about downsides and downsides
i guess would be is like is there protection from rugs using the platform or you know unsaved reactors
that that will be promoting their projects when things get ramping up yeah i mean this is what's
interesting about what reach is doing is that they are trying to focus on quality engagement and reward
that specifically because you're right like the most obvious problem here is that is poor quality
engagement or just bot activity and bot farming but that i think is literally at the core of what they're
of what they're building is like an algorithm and an ai that's focused on rewarding legitimate
quality engagement and quality behavior um so again i was like i i don't know how advanced
that is just yet or like how effective it is um but i will say overall from my experiences that it's it's
generally pretty good quality engagement um and and your point about discoverability and like helping
projects get out there better like yeah i i used it uh to help promote the launch of coffins and i
think it definitely helped with that a little bit you know i think um it's definitely something that
i would struggle to get out there um my just alone by myself and i think it definitely helped with that
so i think that that's uh definitely one use case and one utility um just getting a little bit more
exposure to specific things that you think are quality and worth sharing out there more broadly
um i think there was a real lack of that in 21 you know i heard so many founders say how can i
legitimately you know promote my project and it was all really shady methods so i like this well and
again that's why i'm so bullish on things that integrate really well into like gamifying and
rewarding people for behavior especially again quality legit behavior on x and not just more
bot body behavior i mean it does it does to an extent increase like people acting like bots when
they're farming a lot of these farms do but i think that's that's the fine line of like making sure
that you are still rewarding legitimate engagements building connections and i have to say a lot of the
people that i've been engaging with on there are very much legit people that are trying to uh actually
engage and connect um while they farm um but i'm yeah i'm very bullish on things that utilize this
platform around like web3 particularly because so much of the conversation in the community and web3 is
all built into this specific platform um so being able to leverage this platform and get people to take
actions and increase awareness and reach and all this type of stuff um and rewarding people for for
legitimate uh activity and behavior and engaging and taking actions i think is huge so yeah anything that's
doing that well i'm interested in it's why i'm interested in portal look i i know that it's it's annoying i
know that like a lot of people think it's it's bullshit and i think that there's a high there's there's
definitely a high probability that portal coin is not legit like i i don't think we know enough about
the founders and the team or about what their actual product is yet they're they're definitely using a lot
of like hype uh hype strategy you know advisors and and like um associations with businesses that are
probably not even associated so there's a lot of shady questionable things about what portal's doing
um but you have to look at what they've achieved in a short amount of time in terms of capturing awareness and
conversation like mindshare and conversation on x and realize that like there's something there
you know again like i don't know i don't know exactly what that turns into i don't know exactly
what the product is that's that's there's a ton of questions there's a ton of variables but i'm
interested in it because there's very few projects that have been able to capture as much attention
and awareness and interest in such a short amount of time as what they've achieved um so yeah
that's why i'm i'm trying to just not fully fade it you know what i mean i'm i haven't really been
farming it much um but i i i'm not gonna just completely fade it uh either at this point
thoughts all right y'all shout out to do extremely i think you're gonna do extremely well on reach i
i really do i think the the gamified social media plays plays well into what this space loves which
is just virality right and i think that those are like built into both reach and portal and i think
you farming reach early is an example of something where we look back and say oh of course you know
solana staking was gonna drop all these tokens but it's hard to see that before it actually happens
right so yeah i'm i'm i'm so curious why you like i guess it's just not your type of grind
but like you were early on reach too like we both were then you just kind of decided you didn't want
to do it and i was kind of found that curious because yeah i felt like it seemed like an obvious
uh thing to grind for
yeah i mean when did we get into reach two months ago so i think that might have been
the time gaming tokens started to to pick up and obviously like i'm extremely interested in that
vertical so i think right around that time i was looking at shrapnel and a couple of these others
and saying holy shit this is super interesting and it just took my time gotcha gmo great to have you
good to see you gm gm good to be here i just got missed you i just got off a meeting otherwise i
would have been here promptly all right well how was it give us a debrief you know i'm not gonna do
that but it was lovely thank you right on well we're happy to have you yo shout out to all the friends
who have been engaging over there in the comments i see you carrie ross vert nft live knocks darkness
dropping a beautiful caked ape over there chris mullens kiku jawa and neil uh y'all are the real
fucking goats big love to y'all um if you haven't already thrown up a heart or an emoji or something
in the room go ahead and do that apparently it helps with engagement and if you haven't already
liked the show and shared it out go ahead and do that we'll be here for another 40 minutes or so
that feels good sharing cool stuff with friends and we'd love to get some more friends in here
uh on this special monday episode of gm web 3 so yeah go ahead and tap in on that bottom right
corner and do the thing with the thumbs doesn't cost you a thing makes a bit it makes a really big
difference and honestly it's the best and only way to support what we're doing here so we appreciate
y'all and for you those of you who are engaging and sharing it out taking the actions doing the
the little things y'all are the fucking goats we appreciate y'all a ton um all right let's let's hit
off on a few other things you you're sharing all the announcements up here um you do have this portal
one i mean look we were just kind of talking about portal let's wrap up this part of the conversation
portals connecting all games on on all chains then bringing them to the mainstream our integrations with
solana polygon avax and clayton i don't know what the heck clayton is uh but these are crucial steps in
uniting web 3 gaming with a single cross-chain gaming platform so again this is the the vision
of portal at least which again a lot of people think is kind of pie in the sky and nonsense
is to be like the steam of web 3 right be a centralized uh platform for web 3 games uh unify all the
different disparate uh games and studios on one platform um you know gg is kind of another example
doing this as their own sort of arcade um but portal is supporting games and gamers across the
space we welcome the millions of users across these chains into our ecosystem so we got polygon solana
games avax and then clayton i don't know what clayton is have you ever heard of clayton yeah it's like
one of those first gen gen ones like layer ones i think like the 21 20 2020 maybe it was created
so just another protocol all right well that's cool so there you go some partnerships there
uh you know solana polygon and avax do seem like good uh places to be for web 3 gaming maybe immutable
x could make sense to add in as well apparently immutable x started to run over the weekend i
haven't really been following them much because i haven't seen a lot of like big ip or game
announcements from them so i've been kind of sleeping on immutable but they're picking up
um all right let's talk about valeria by the way q exciting news uh so we did have my my darima i
believe my darima.eth ceo of valeria studios and valeria games with us here on the show thursday
it was an awesome episode by the way if you'd like to learn more about what valeria is doing highly
recommend going back and checking that out they are recorded all of these shows are recorded you can
listen back to that one from thursday um but yeah he is going to come on nft live this thursday so uh
yeah had that combo with him yesterday in case you didn't know letting you know now
hell yeah i think we're having a vgf on as well to talk about reboot and pixel vault and a couple of
these other pieces i know he was out in our basil but uh yeah we we actually locked him down we're
trying to figure out what show he can actually get on so love to hear it love to hear it i do not
want to blow up meterima's spot okay with with this but i listened to the valeria recording i dropped this
in our group chat gif the the magic eden stuff this is this magic eden announcement i don't really want
to blow up my man's spot but he said it on a recording space uh essentially valeria is going to be
one of magic eden's exclusive partners that they're going to start rolling out uh to compete with like
openc and uh blur and all this stuff they're just going to be essentially unrolling uh and unveiling
these partnerships that they've been working on in the back end one of which is valeria so they're
they've been in talks in i'm sure several meetings with me and in that room he's talking about yuga labs
essentially like being the exclusive partner with magic eden so i know we got that announcement
about a couple months ago with the the partnership there but essentially he was like laying out other
details saying they were literally going to be exclusively on magic eden i don't know what that
looks like from from specific details but this was like being laid out very clearly in in that room so
well why why are you talking about like i like why are you bringing it back up i guess can you
add more context to your thinking or around that like just that you feel like this is a a really big
move for them because they'll basically be part of this new marketplace launch alongside yuga is that
the gist of it yeah i mean we what we got was a poster right a poster announcement that said hey
yuga labs and magic eden are partnering so what meterima was able to kind of lay out in that that
that space was essentially more details basically that this was coming in february that they're
looking to compete with openc so they're rolling out partnerships in february they're going to have
exclusive rights with yuga labs and this is going to be with multiple different projects including
uh you know board api club and that they're going to be launching another nft collection in february
which i was like collection i mean the whole time i was like can he say this like is he allowed to
say shit like this i mean he's the ceo he can say whatever he wants and you know that's part of why
you go in space is you want to leak some well hold on no this is the valeri guy not magic eden
yeah no i know but he's oh yeah like oh to your point maybe there's an nda okay i see where i see
where you're going with that what's uh why did you share this particular announcement though because this
was from the 27th of november this was about two weeks ago uh pre-order date december 11th
i guess that's today so that makes sense so limited first edition founder set cases 333 supply
watches today have those already sold out do we know what time
yeah it's gonna be at 3 p.m today i i posted the update okay so yeah that's gonna be interesting to
watch they have these founders cases that we've been talking about again they're keeping them very
low supply apparently the land uh holders get first dibs so they're probably gonna sell out pretty
quickly cats fanatic is trying to come up here all educate us because i'm sure we're missing
uh some some of the details there it is official mint day announcement thanks for finding that
mint price 0.28 eth per case 0.038 eth per box supply just 33 33 cases
yeah i don't think these make it to the public to your point it's 333 and i know that within the
boxes there's you know or within the cases there's different boxes so maybe that ups the supply a
little bit potentially but i don't think the 333 make it to public it doesn't up the supply and it will
last minutes it won't make it to public there you go that's that's the official word from cats fanatic
yeah everyone's already griping about it in the community that's why they dropped it to one
per transaction because it initially was three per transaction and everybody's always already
talking about how much gas they're gonna pump i mean it's it's gonna go quick
amazing but thanks for being our valeria reporter yeah i mean the they're only doing this to show demand
though like that's why i mean it's it's a founder but it's it's the pudgy penguins uh street wear
drop strategy right right and they're literally in talks with pmi who put pudgy penguins in walmart
like their whole goal is to show demand to to be able to put this in stores like they but they
they want to see demand so this is how they're going to show it i mean they don't need the money they're
just they they need to show demand yup well said well put and yeah again lucan nets has really kind of
shown the way for that whole strategy if you do these kind of smaller very limited drops where you know
that the demand far outstrips the supply and you take all of that data uh you prove out that demand
and then you go and you shop that around in distributors and you grow your cats step by step
cats i'm interested because you were in that space and i saw that you commented on our spaces here today
and wanted more details obviously we haven't seen much based on uh my comment there but what did you take
from uh me to rima actually just like laying out their plans for magic yeah i mean to me it was
bigger bayc news than valeria hell yeah valeria has their own marketplace like they don't you know
and once the game gets going that's where everything's going to be done but i mean they
need the accessibility of other marketplaces so if magic eden pops off it's great that they're partnering
with them early but to me i mean if if openc doesn't have board apes anymore and you know
and they're you can only find them on magic eden that's obviously going to bring a lot of eyes to
to that marketplace so that's that's bigger news for yuga assets than than anything
i just wonder about the technical details there like how can they completely remove them or like
remove trading uh when it's a decentralized like protocol i know that there's like knobs you can
turn to to make these you know not as decentralized we all think they are but i wonder what the detail
is there to make it so they can't be traded on openc i don't know the technical side but i have heard
it's not hard to just um kind of blacklist a marketplace like to make it not tradable on a marketplace
um i don't know that it would be technically that hard um and i mean you know yuga stance as far as
the royalty stuff that's why all this is coming about anyway so i don't know man i think openc is
going to be in for for even more hurt coming their way potentially but you know the thing is like okay
then what about blur farming because you know i mean if you took if it went exclusively magic eden which i
went back and listened he did say that i don't know if he misspoke or if he's dropping crazy alpha that he
shouldn't um but i mean that affects blur farming that affects blast that affects a lot that affects
flooring protocol like that would have that would make ripples in in the whole space if that actually
comes to fruition and you could only buy yuga assets on magic eden that would be kind of crazy
let's also hope that that deal is signed sealed and delivered because if he spoke before it was he's
in big trouble yeah q totally putting them on blast here um but yeah fascinating conversation
shout out to chris pr guitar man awesome to see you melissa mimosa i gotta shout out melissa here i did pin
up top an exciting announcement announcement about take the throne happening this wednesday night
we're very excited to partner with chum chums uh for take the throne the ultimate giftathon and uh melissa
will be part of the roundtable first time joining uh one of these events with us it's going to be a
great time and she's bringing three beautiful chum chums nfts to the party for us to give away as
part of the ultimate giftathon you can see those pinned up top so if you haven't already rsvp'd
uh and made plans to be there wednesday night you should do that um i'll find the link for that
as well and pin it up top uh but just know it is going down at the castle take the throne the og game
show uh from clubhouse it's it's really the the original shark tank of web 3 that we bring back from
time to time we've done these giftathons ultimate giftathons before and nifty kit uh wanted to run it
back we had such a good time at the last one uh that they wanted to do another one so i said
absolutely let's make it happen um so yeah i'm gonna find and pin uh that link up top but yeah you
can check out those beautiful chum chums that will be part of the uh tons of giveaways of the
ultimate giftathon that we're doing wednesday uh gm melissa great to have you how are you gm gm
thank you i'm doing good and um i just want to give like a shout out to you guys thank you for
my shout out but i was just i just messaged secrets um i was like you really need to listen to your
guys's space because this is my favorite morning space because i feel like i'm not getting the fluff
of everything else i'm getting like actual things that are happening and i find out way more like way
more information in here than i do in many other morning spaces and i'm a busy single mom so i'm like right
now i'm getting my youngest ready for school and this keeps me in check so thank you and i'm oh my
god for the um the throne so thank you yo appreciate that a ton yeah we're happy to have you here uh
yeah i think this is your first time joining us on stage on gm web 3 so you're welcome anytime and
yeah fan of the chum chums long time fan love the art very very cute characters uh i think i
minted summer i had some very early on i don't know what wall out there is still in at this point but uh
great to meet you and to have you joining us for take the throne and uh yeah these these these three
chum chums uh pinned up top are are very cool uh i love the the french fries a little cute little
strawberry so yeah those are going to be going to some lucky participants and people who show up and
hang out with us for take the throne this wednesday night it's at 6 p.m pst usually goes for about two
hours and by the way it's very very easy if you'd like to participate uh as an actual uh like there's
a lot of different ways to participate you can just show up and take part in all the different
games that we're doing and giveaways just by being there there's going to be a ton of opportunities
to get involved and to win awesome nfts but if you want to actually pitch you know we usually are
able to get in about eight to ten pitches you get five minutes to come up and just share an idea
for an nft project it can't be something that's already minted uh it has to be a new idea and the
round table will then give you you know you got basically like two minutes to pitch the idea and
then you get three minutes of feedback from our amazing guests our round table including star lordy
sarah script melissa mimosa cake nightguard claire mcguire jessica trowski ceo of nifty kit dan car
and myself all on that round table um and then yeah the people who actually participate and pitch
get additional exclusive nfts nft prize packages and it's it's that easy so all you got to do is go
up and comment on that thread up top with a one to two sentence idea and uh and then you can maybe
even pitch and be part of take the throne uh but yeah very excited to be doing that with you this
wednesday night make sure to let your friends know not to miss it because it's always a good time doing
that and all right let's keep it moving on uh we got some more things up here nifty q's sharing
crypto is probably the only place in the world where americans are second-class citizens
yeah gif did you know do you follow mondo like wreck mondo and his his minutes uh yeah i'm not very
consistent but yeah yeah this is the first time i've seen us make a an entry onto wreck mondo list it
looks like he's referencing the rehash talking about sanctuary come again where is this so mondo does
his thing uh mondo minutes yeah yeah but did you pin this up top yeah you actually have to go to
mondominutes.com so like go to you know the wrecked mondo's minutes whatever his blog post uh thing that
you go to so i don't know if you have it bookmarked or what but like when if you scroll down go to nfts
and you can see parallel sanctuary marketplace launches today
and i think it links out to web3 so that's pretty cool shout out by wrecked
just trying to find us uh parallel sanctuary marketplace launches today
hey hey look at that that's amazing all right we're getting picked up by wrecked mondo all right
so let's let's all celebrate throw some hearts throw some claps we you know what we celebrate
little wins here why not all right what's this other post yeah i guess just pat ourselves we're
just patting ourselves on the back i was i was surprised because i was just like oh
shit sanctuary launches today and i i link out to it and it goes to a web that our thread you know
we and i'm like what the hell is this you know and what that was from like a couple days ago look
we are so early to most things from today we are so early no no i mean that post of ours that he's
linking to oh yeah yeah yeah we're talking about it before everybody we patting ourselves on on our own
backs is kind of our brand now well because nobody else fucking does yo but we show up daily and do
these shows you know melissa was just up here actually giving us some love you know melissa
gave us a pat on the back we appreciate that we're doing these shows daily putting in hours
and hours every day and then we curate it into these rehashes which is the daily recap of the
top 10 stories on web 3 every single day pretty much five days a week we do that we do these daily
shows back to back here on spaces then nft live on youtube uh four days a week monday through
thursday and so we're we're fucking early on everything because we're covering everything and and
yeah not enough people know it and so you know again to those who actually share it out and
appreciate it and help us get it out there to more people just know we we truly appreciate it
y'all are the fucking goats um because not enough people actually do share out uh all this awesome
info but hey now fucking wrecked mondo is starting too so yeah i was up i wasn't really trying to blow
smoke uh up our butts here it was more just my surprise do it wait this linked out to something else
do fill me up but uh yeah no sanctuary launching today is pretty cool like that so for those of
you that don't know sanctuary is going to be like this one-stop shop for all of parallels assets right
now right now it's it's actually very convoluted to like see what cards you need and all of this
stuff it's it's you go to open sea and stuff is just all over the place and now they're kind of
bringing it all under one roof and they're going to allow people to buy you know cards with prime and
and all this stuff so it's a really cool update outside of like this wrecked mondo stuff sanctuary
is going to be pretty cool yeah it's interesting this whole like sort of marketplace conversation i
think is going to be a big thing in 2024 which you know we've all been kind of like expecting in a lot
of ways that was one of the sort of theoretical uh theoretical um effects of the royalty debate was
everybody's saying like well now artists and projects are all gonna just create their own
marketplaces and we're seeing that basically is that the big projects that can do that
are going to do that or partner together like with magic eden with other partners who want to compete
with open sea to develop custom marketplaces and so yeah i think this is going to be like a big
sort of move for a lot of collections that was my prediction for this year yeah well everything
takes a little bit longer than than you think right so we we we talk about things we're again we're so
fucking early and in the weeds that like we're we're talking about things way in advance of when
they're actually applicable like when they actually have working applications and users um we can see
all this coming uh usually way ahead of time but yeah we've been kind of predicting this and now we're
actually starting to see these these custom you know uh project specific marketplaces royalty
uh included marketplaces or royalty protected i don't know the right way to put that but yeah
so parallel sanctuary is going to be really really cool and interesting um for those who are in the
parallel also q give us an update on the the streaming like competition that they had broke is
you were tweeting that out and that's you know again we've been talking about parallel for a long time
time and it's it's fucking deserve it it's it's going so well yeah but but even before they were
doing as well as they've been doing we've been watching it and talking about it and now they're
they're just doing crazy things so again this is something we've been super early on and if you've been
a fan of the show if you've been showing up here then you know you already know a lot about it but tell
us uh about what they were doing on twitch and with all these different streamers yeah so board apes did
this with dookie dash where and i think they did it indirectly parallel was more direct but uh the the
the person who won the 1.2 million dollar dookie dash key was a very like mongrel so he's like a huge
streamer slash gamer uh and that was a really cool moment for nfts and web3 gaming because you saw this
like huge like guy with millions of followers or whatever he has winning the key so it was a real
cool crossover between traditional gaming so that this is what parallel is doing they had an
invitational tournament i think 16 non like quote unquote web3 gamers like from team liquid and you
know some hearthstone players so like the hearthstone scene is like the the biggest digital trading card
game at the time so it's funny because the the hearthstone champion actually won this invitational
and he won like ten thousand dollars which isn't probably a lot for them i don't know what hearthstone
tournaments go for but still a good amount of cash and it's cool to see all of these trading cards so
hearthstone streamers and some other trading card games came in and that was their way to try to get
the game out to more people so yeah hearthstone champion and parallel champion he's he's like conor
mcgregor holding two bells i love it he's crossing over in a web three in a big way uh but i found your other
post uh where you basically screen capped what was going on with twitch with all these people all these
streamers playing it live and yeah this is huge man again we have we really haven't seen a lot of
web three games uh crossover or have that crossover potential a lot of people now but we truly believe
in that parallel is going to continue to grow and and and maybe one of the first web three games to
actually take on a bigger life outside of the space as well um you know they they've got the you
know it's tcg they got the cards they got the war they got a lot of other things that are all working
and we're seeing those things do well um with other products and ip as well you know valeria
uh is heating up might be an interesting one um but yeah now you've got like hearthstone players
which you know hearthstone being another really big well-known game outside of what to those players
starting to come in and uh participate and win tournaments i mean this is all just it's very bullish
and then so this marketplace uh parallel sanctuary is potentially a really big deal because again it's
it's very sort of um esoteric and and detailed and complicated you know it's like when you have
these big ecosystems that are very rich and deep um to just slap sort of the like native basic open
sea marketplace on top of that doesn't really work and so this is this is a case where it actually does
warrant and demand its own specialized marketplace um because there's so many moving parts within this
ecosystem whether it's uh the different types of like keys or all the different characters and and
there's literally millions of different cards already um in terms of additions because most of them are
additions you got special editions and different tiers of cards and then there's other uh nft products as
well within the ecosystem so yeah i think that there's going to be a lot of interest for people
that are interested in this game um to go and start using this i'm very excited to check it out and see
how it goes did i miss anything no you hit right on the head i've been having a good time uh playing
parallel and earning prime while i'm doing so it's not it's not a ton per day but you really don't want
that right like they cap it on the amount that you can win per day uh i think like five games can
can pay out and that's about it but you don't want like the huge dump of people playing it for 18 hours
and you know that that would hurt the token price that's not healthy so it's not healthy digitally
it's not healthy physically uh so it's cool it's just been fun it's been a it's been an awesome ride
and hell yeah they deserve it right um i feel like we should do a quick update on how strap's doing
then how are you feeling about strap right now i feel good about strap they're releasing early access for
their game uh in january so i know initially they had said december was going to be that time frame
but we know how december can get and it probably wouldn't make sense for them to start rolling out
marketing and stuff like that when everybody's got new years and christmas and all this stuff going on
so i i expect in january this starts to pick up we're obviously like exposed on both fronts the nfts
and and the token on shrapnel so yeah i feel good about january for strap right on uh gm paymon great
to have you here gm you just made it back from miami yeah yeah i'm still recovering but um yeah gm
everybody it's good to hear yeah you you're right gif and nftq that you guys have been on top of the news
and just doing this freaking day in and day out and uh um you know it's about time for you to get
more recognition and i'm i'm always talking about you guys whenever i'm in any kind of setting and
actually in miami i was talking to the uh they had a representation actually one of my good friends
jay and silva which probably everybody knows here he's a legendary og photographer he was actually
representing them he had a laptop he was playing the game and at the base event that i helped co-curate
and although he gave me a little bit overview it was just so much going on that i he just kept on
clicking on different cards and like you know it was just like really cool but at the same time a
little bit confusing um but yeah they they do have they were represented in miami and it was very organic so
and i told him i said hey the first time i heard about was a few months ago i think it was
six months ago or so that you guys were talking about it and you guys were super bullish about them so
yeah heck yeah yeah shrap definitely had a presence in miami and so did you power base i just pinned your
pinned tweet up top uh looks like you're doing an open edition with base yes it's my first open
edition and actually my first ever open edition and i haven't minted as most of you guys know
since 2021 after my first initial five minutes that i had that sold out but i've been sort of
just uh you know onboarding spotlighting advising and just curating putting together opportunities for
others and um everybody's always just been telling me hey come on you gotta get your own stuff out and
so yeah yeah as everybody i don't know if everybody knows but some of you guys may recall that i'm a
musician also not just a multidisciplinary artist i played a piano since i was five and melodies come to
my head and sometimes when i'm in nature or my studio and i don't have the piano next to me i sort of
whistled them into my phone or back in college days i put it on the tape recorder thing for
um so that i don't forget it so i decided to include them in my in my art and and uh yeah the first
whistling poet um i was gonna call myself the first whistling melody maker but since some of my wife is a
poet these are poetic and so well i really like the the graphic too and q you were saying that you
were using base uh a little bit more and you're getting into some of the like defy stuff happening
over there too and you're like a big fan very bullish on it i actually man i feel like we could
have a whole episode on this and i'm glad payment's here because that i i got inspired by somebody
posting i think it was hunter solaire saying look you need in this market you want to be zigging when
everybody else is zagging and it feels like base has a lot of things that lined up for it like we
saw jack butcher just had a ovators launch on base payment's launching these this collection on base
we saw a racer uh post that the friend tech is getting their airdrop potentially in december so
we potentially get that liquidity that interest i think base is super interesting so payment's cool to
hear like i would love to hear more man you like worked with the team on their event out in in
basel so i think things are picking up yeah i mean jesse pollock is behind the base team and uh
he's done a great job i was helping my i'm advising layer dot xyz it's he's a good friend of mine proof
of nema is the co-founder and uh yeah and i think that based has the backing of coinbase so like when
they do things you know they get the coinbase wallet was tweeting jack butcher and actually it was funny
because you mentioned jack butcher i was on the same promo tweet as him and i was like wow and some
other artists that i onboarded and so yeah we want to make sure that everybody has a seat at the table
every time i curate i want to make sure that there's the boot ship artist and then there's
you know artists that are up and coming and um so this way everybody gets uh some spotlight that they
you know that they deserve so yeah they they did a great job to be honest they they had a really
beautiful event we had panels they had partnerships and i think that they're doing it the right way and
with this whole summer of i forgot what they call it blockchain on chain summer summer yeah yeah very
tired you know they've done a really good job to sort of keep the movement going and during this
you know there i feel like you're on the bull market right now i mean jiff and i were talking
last night and he's like everybody seems so euphoric from basil experience and yeah it did have actually
a different vibe this year and i feel like you're right on the you know cusp of the bull if we haven't
already started it you know so there's a lot of really cool things coming up i just had a meeting with
the mocha people and you know there's all these different you know not just base but these second
layers are really doing their best to get on the train you know like avalanche you know optimism all
these different second layer change or layer twos i should call them second layer but um yeah i'm
excited about the the future and and i'm more excited about what the possibilities are of doing like
cross-chain you know so and then of course i was you know i'm now like i've been in the ordinal sort of
fam for the last i don't know six months or so so i'm excited about the ordinals too you know um
there's all these different cool things happening technology is ever evolving so that's what makes
me excited absolutely man and uh to tie a few things together there if if anything can signal that we are
definitely entering back into a bull and it's the fact that i'm giving away my prized nfts even though i
can't really afford to do it i am giving away a jack butcher trademark uh one of only three prize
trademarks that i own um that special giveaway is pinned up top basically anybody who mints a coffin
between now and wednesday night at midnight when the coffins closes uh every single coffin that you
mint will count as one entry into this giveaway and one coffins holder will win this trademark so i just
announce that and pin that up top also paymon just so you know and for everybody out there uh we have

chas gold i see you've been very patient with your hand raised there sir go ahead i just wanted to pay
monday no i didn't i just missed one of his pieces from laird let's go that's awesome i i feel
i have to have one i don't own a fucking team on dude i'm like what i'm like hold on here let me
think i actually just went and bridge i went and bridged base i bring i bridged a bunch of each from
from from from eat the base to style because gas is somewhat low only cost me like less than 20 bucks
like bridge over like 100 bucks worth so i could grab his and like whoever else has like low low like
you know low price um uh uh things on base i have one too there's one in my pin tweet right now that's uh
called the base queen it's on layer that would i make this for miami amazing i love to hear that
thank you so much for that support and um just to let everybody know it's like been only two days
this piece i've had over 7.7 000 like you know 7 700 views um and yeah i mean it's crazy and i first i
have a different piece that i actually created for the scope show which was shown at scope and they
wanted me to put that as a one-on-one and i said i mean as a open edition and it's like it took me a
long time to work on that so i made this other one for the open edition and um yeah i appreciate any
support even if it's just a retweet or comment uh how long is it open it's open until the end of
december end of december all right so that's pinned up top if y'all want to check it out
that yeah i'm gonna try to see if i can extend it i'm gonna see if i need to um extend mine until
the end of december also because like i only had it run until the 13th till tomorrow and i haven't
for some reason i haven't nobody's minted any mine i'm like well i don't care but like you know um
um well then i'll get the first one there you go token zero gonna pay mine if you want to share
mine it's in my fan tweet dude all right i'll check it out for sure uh nifty q tell me briefly
like i think you're you're putting this in our telegram though because there is like a whole defy
scene popping up on base and i do like this idea of like zigging while you're zagging where where
are you tracking oh zigging while other people are zagging you don't zig and zag yeah you never
want to zig while you zag you don't mix the zigzag can't do that don't do that um but where are you
tracking these tokens yeah well dextools has a fantastic terminal uh if you can call it that
and you can actually you know filter by chains and that's the easiest way to find the tokens okay
there's there's there's a several cool uh like x profiles that are basically like base news daily
and things like this so dude my experience on the chain is is the tech seems really smooth like the
transactions all that stuff is as smooth probably as you get on solana if not smoother but the apps
are very rudimentary like there's not a really good looking even like decks that's not like uniswap
uh or anything like that like a majority of the the base tokens here are traded on uniswap sushi swap
and a couple others but they don't have like really nice looking native dexes like you would
see like from radium uh if you guys have been on solana i'm sure you've been using the radium decks
uh nothing that's that cool uh on on base but that's actually that actually signals an opportunity
right like we always say friction is a friend of profits a ton of friction over there on base right now
when it comes to a lot of the daps that they have yeah so you brought up to mochi and then
what's the other one floki no something i think toshi toshi and mochi so yeah mochi has followed a
lot of the other moves right now on the east it's down like 30 40 percent at the moment um so anyway
i'm watching these um yeah anyway how did you how did you get it looks like it's a weave pair so are you
just able to to use uniswap and weave to get into these or do you have to go through like a base
bridge and then again another yeah yeah i mean you're hitting some of it these tokens are traded on
on different like each pair is potentially traded on a different exchange it's not like oh one stop
shop like radium so there's a couple different exchanges aerodrome is one of them uh but that
exchange has had like a couple like front end exploits so it's all very you know kind of out there
on the wild west with these new chains um but yeah you you'd have to like go into each pair like
you can go to coin gecko you can see what each pair essentially is is uh where it's being traded the
most and those are the uh we're getting down in the weeds but that would be how you find the actual
decks that you want to trade it's very in the weeds you know pardon me for trying to get a little
bit of alpha out of q while i'm up here because i think i think that base is probably being slept
on a little bit and that's the sort of zig why everyone else is zagging right now um because
they they're okay one of the things that i'm i'm definitely feeling that it's it sounds obvious like
i'm gonna say this and it's gonna sound dumb to everybody because because like we're all sitting
here now like oh fucking obvious like it's gonna feel so so obvious but defy on solana
solana and avax and base are gonna be fucking massive because that's what they're built for
they're built for high frequency transactions and now you're finally actually getting like applications
and liquidity coming back into these and like i just started using juke on solana and it's such a
fucking great experience compared to ethereum like obviously i love eth and and and i'm not fading
eth at all because everything i think ties back to eth but just for like these high frequency
transactions and defy and all these different apps and things that people are going to be doing
uh dude solana base avax any of these that handle faster transactions with lower gas are going to do
so fucking well um so yeah that that's just something that i'm just like super focused and interested in
right now trying to learn more about um because it just seems so obvious dude it just seems so obvious
like the the energy efficient high transaction volume high frequency trading that you can enable
on these that you could never do on eth is insane yeah two indicators i think for for base in particular
for me that has just popped off i'm like oh like this is starting to gain the momentum is what i've
already mentioned right jack butcher with his ovators and the friend tech airdrop those two things
the jack butcher one was more like validation in a way like okay they're getting you know bigger artists
kind of to highlight the chain the friend tech airdrop i think could be that like uh
jito moment right like there's been a ton of negative sentiment around friend tech and all that
stuff but if the token comes out like a like a jito situation i think uh it'll probably pick up an
interest all right we've covered a lot today and we're about to hop out of here over to youtube y'all if
you don't know what this is this is gmweb3 it's the greatest morning show ever invented by anybody ever
and we do the show four days a week monday through thursday here on the x spaces then
we wrap this up and head straight over to youtube where we keep the conversation rolling with more
awesome guests more awesome alpha headlines co-hosts conversation over on youtube on our temple live
show nft live so that's where we're gonna be hopping out to in just a moment the link for nft live is
pinned up top if you haven't already given that a like uh go ahead and do that drop a comment drop a
heart drop a fucking eggplant in the in the comments it doesn't matter what it is just know that it
makes a big difference it really does and we appreciate y'all uh who do actually play along
and participate um so that link for nft live is pinned up top that's where we're gonna head in
just a moment we've covered a lot we've barely touched the oviators and the sugar town auras so
we're gonna have to talk about those a little bit more on youtube um but yeah i am curious is anybody
did anybody mint the oviators did you get them anybody i think they just closed like a couple
hours ago they did and i it was about a thousand yeah i got too caught up in all of these d5 things
and and i say things but like farms and different things on on uh base and i didn't mint any and i'm
gonna fade it uh or i'm gonna regret fading it for sure 1700 and the fours up to 0.15 this was
an obvious one that i i was like this is obvious and i still didn't do it because i didn't really
want the sunglasses they weren't my style but i knew it would probably do well and the fours up to
0.15 uh so if you're not familiar oviators it's basically uh jack butcher's sunglass collection uh that
he's partnered with salvino armadion using his opepin icon of the sort of sharp pointy one circular
one pointy uh eye and these come with a redeemable function for a physical pair of the sunglasses but
then they also turn into a generous piece of art which is brilliant it's fucking super smart and uh
yeah this seemed like an obvious one what was the mint price so then go 0.11 and they're up to 0.15
so yeah we'll see where that goes but um go ahead quantum variant gm gm gm um uh i wanted to ask
nifty q on uh one of the things i always had problems with um layer twos or any other layers
with dexes is liquidity are you seeing like there's a decent amount of liquidity on on base in the uh
d5 space because if there's no liquidity you're trying to get out of or in a position and the either
the price moves too quick and you can't get it or the price is never there and it never you're never
able to get your profits out yeah i think gift that is like kind of smirking right now because
we have this issue with shrapnel so shrapnel's over there on avax and we were able to pick it up on a
dex that had gotten exploited like almost immediately following us picking it up so like already it had that
one situation and then when shrapnel maybe four or five days later had the lawsuit
fud come out we immediately ran to trader joe's and the liquidity was like pulled it was these are
things like the team usually needs to do like like shrapnel would work with market makers to ensure
that there's liquidity but in that moment we couldn't even sell without sending the token like
30 down or something like that so yes quantum like there's all those issues uh on these chains and
i would say base is is not um not immune to that and there's i i can look at the details right now
i was able to get it in and out of positions right so like i would maybe an east worth of a position
didn't move the price even one percent right so there is liquidity whether that stays you just have
to it's the wild west baby you got i you know i i don't want to like say oh yeah there's a ton of
liquidity and then you try it and then it's a rug that pulls it so just keep the the execution is
really quick on base what i really like i don't know if anybody else did a few things it's a great
experience yeah and and uh the few things that i've minted and i don't know if uh payman i minted yours
and it said zero gas i minted a joshua davis is uh yesterday and it said zero gas so i don't know if
they're just not charging are they front running it like uh layers layers not a layer of gas right
now ah came up with this really cool uh thing that they they get the gas as lower as zero so like
that's one of the reasons i really like want to help them get the word out because they're really
um you know i think that would really help both collectors and uh obviously artists right so yeah it's
it's a really cool uh it's a really cool thing that they're doing we gotta wrap up this conversation
and head over to youtube appreciate we've covered a lot and there's still so much other things uh
sugar town or is absolutely pumped off of beanies uh post they're up above 0.6 some people speculating
they could go to two or three eth on a potential token over there uh layer zero you know we're talking
about layer layer zero also announced that they're definitely have a token so there's a lot to talk about
and again we're going to keep the conversation rolling right along over on youtube here in just
a moment so come join us over there the link for nft live is pinned up top right heck and now we will
be back tomorrow morning here on the x spaces with more gm web3 massive love and appreciation to
