If you have a computer, you can actually like double.
You know how you double click on something and it expands a menu on your computer?
A little pop-up menu will come up if you look at a link.
And you can like copy the link you can like open something if you look at the
very bottom there's something that says inspect and and when you click that it
opens up a little window to your right so it'll open up a window and it'll tell
you about that link and it'll say with there's any kind of like red flags it'll
tell you warnings is there a Chrome extension for that? No, it's
not an extension. It's just a normal thing you can do on a computer when you look at when you're
looking at a link. I didn't know that. So yeah, it's like look when you look at the background
and you click to double click and it pulls up a little menu. It's the same thing, but you're when
you're looking at the link instead of like a normal click, you don't do a normal click. You
do like a double click and expand that menu. go to the bottom where it says inspect link and
then yeah it'll sell it it'll tell you everything and most things will have
like one or two or maybe three red flags that are like errors but if it's
something like malicious it'll have like huge warning bells it's really obvious
it's like all this red ink and stuff like that will pop up like you'll see a
bunch of stuff it'll tell you exactly what that links doing if it's like taking over your discord or taking over your phone or your
computer like it'll it's pretty awesome it'll would it work for something like that from my
ipad too it'll probably work from your ipad yeah it just what it doesn't work on your phone but it
works on any computer yeah that's i didn't think of that it's a it's a great way to know like what you're looking at
but uh there's an easier way even these days where you just um you copy it and you paste it
into an ai and you ask the ai if there's any malicious code oh so you just say like you know
grok in here or like perplexity or chat gpt you just say is, is this safe? You know, and you show them the link
and they'll be like, nope,
that's not safe because of this.
Or they'll say, you know,
that's a typical government link or whatever.
It'll tell you, it'll explain it to you.
So yeah, when in doubt, ask AI.

And it's just, I mean, it's become a novelty to see people in real life now.

Ever since, like, COVID and the fact that we're all just working, you know, on computers all day.
You know, where a lot of us don't get out to sociable events unless they are Web3 events.
I know I don't.
If I'm out there, it's for Web3.
I'm so glad my health has improved a lot so I can actually do these events
because I was pretty much just set on the fact that I was going to work from home
and maybe do some digital events, like some metaverse events.
I was like, yeah, there's no way I'm going anywhere.
If I'm going to be stuck at home, though, that's a job I could do.
I could definitely do metaverse.
But now, yeah, now I've actually gone to events for the last two years.
It's crazy.

and i open the door and it's full of smoke and there's a like a 400 cfm fan that's just like
going constantly like venting this room out so there
shouldn't be fucking smoke in there there should well there shouldn't be anything that's making
smoke in there first off but uh I so I go to the back of the room and there's smoke coming out of
the timer and I pull the timer out of the wall and the prongs stay in the wall like the just melt
right out of the box of the timer and and they're stuck in the wall still,
and I look into the box timer, and there's a little flame. It's still on fire. It's, like,
actively on fire in my hands. I had found it, like, right after it had gone on fire,
like, for, like, maybe a minute or 30 seconds, you know, but, like, if I would have left it,
or if I would have not been home, that would have been, like, my house would have caught fire,
that would have been,
like my house would have caught fire
and it's full of weed, right?
And literally two weeks later,
we were planning on leaving for a,
like a winter trip,
like for Christmas.
So if it would have happened two weeks later,
it would have been a completely different situation.

trading at that point that was when I decided to get more into crypto I was
like I got to do something that I can do mobile.

It kind of leads into my next story, if you want to hear it.
You want to hear the time I basically fucked over the banks out of a couple hundred million dollars?
Just prevented them.

Well, I didn't fuck them out of it.
I fucked them from getting it.
I made it impossible for them to get the extra money.
Well, because when I was in college getting my finance degree,
I was doing this one class called financial models at the time.
And I was seeing the subprime mortgage crisis, like all these loans that are just like rated a when they're like
C or D or F in reality and things are starting to break down well at that time right they were
using the time they're they're using this financial model is like 2007 and who won the Nobel Prize in
finance it's like that was like the leading financial models to like see price movements on
the stock market for like, you know, predicting stock prices. So like that's how they would know
what a stock is worth in order to evaluate it. But obviously it was wrong because it didn't see
the subprime mortgage crisis, right? The whole banking system collapsed off of that shit. So
how like how did it not see it? Right.
So I looked at like, well, what are the factors that are like, you know, important when you're talking about default and credit. Right. And there wasn't really any, there wasn't any factor
for people's credit based on like the banking system, meaning there's not like a trust factor.
meaning there's not like a trust factor so like there there kind of is a
numbers but not directly in the equation so let me explain the government gives
banks money at a risk-free rate that's like super low and then there's another
rate called the LIBOR rate it's the London interbank offer rate it's what
one bank would charge another bank to borrow money
overnight. And banks have access to different sources of money. And so for different things,
they use that LIBOR rate. So if you take the LIBOR rate and you subtract out the risk-free rate,
you basically get the difference that is about risk. It's like how much that one bank trusts the other banks,
right? So as that rate grows, when those rates vary and they get further and further apart,
then that gap, that number that grows is like the distrust in banks. If it gets too big,
the banking system basically just collapses. So I made this factor called interbank confidence.
collapses so i made this factor called inner uh inner bank confidence and i like ran the
regression again and it was way more efficient it kind of it like it corrects for it and i was like
okay so this is this is the new financial model they need to use for evaluating stocks and stuff
and i was like oh shit they're just gonna like take 20 out of everyone's 401k with this information
because the average person is not going to balance their portfolio with this and thing they'll just going to be the bank so i was like well fuck it then
and i just buried it and i just day traded instead of selling it to the banks
so they never got they figured it out like maybe 10 years later. Now I can talk about it.
But they probably figured out something like it internally,
but they didn't really understand what the hell was going on.
I don't understand why they wouldn't see that. It seems obvious as hell to me, but...
I don't know.
