But more importantly, it is about everybody's story, kind of your story of how you got here.
We're going to get wet balls to tell his story about his IRL life in a couple of minutes,
but trying to understand his career and
how he kind of blends that with uh web3 so wet balls whenever you're ready man just give me a
thumbs up and be like yeah i can talk about my you know my little story but you know i'm down
i want to hear the story what what got you to web3 what was some l's that you took and what are some
lessons that you gained from
that so again while you guys are doing that if you guys can please share like tag your homies
it'll be great just to kind of listen to um the wonderful voices that you all have you know and
you maybe can inspire somebody today man because you never know maybe somebody is going through
that same type of journey same same type of decision making.
We got a lot of brand new tools that are popping up.
Man, I'm just seeing that.
The other day I was telling somebody, like, yo, do you see what Sir Manzano just put the raffle decks that popped out?
And we were just utilizing that in the, what do you call it, in the Gary chat.

And I was just like, wow, look how fast that all the Gary tokens,
the Gary giraffe just pretty much was one in a couple of minutes.
So it's crazy, man.
You never know where, you know, you might be the next minute, next moment.
And for those that are kind of like hopping in,
I just want you guys to realize, like kind of got you to Web3, right?
Just as I'm sharing the space, one of the things that got me to Web3 was through lasering, right?
And I remember like in 2021, I was know, crafting an aircraft piece for JetBlue.
And while I was working on JetBlue, someone told me that, hey, man, you're pretty good with this whole artistic stuff and lasering and stuff.
Why don't you do something on the side?
And I said, yeah, maybe.
You know, it took me a lot of convincing.
I'm like, I don't think people really make money out of this stuff, you know.
And they're like, no, no, people do. People do honestly earn.
And, you know, I kind of had somebody kind of inspire me, show me the whole steps of getting an S-Corp and LLC.
But obviously, you know, it's hard to do it by yourself, right?
So I had a good, you know, two friends of mine.
We kind of started because we all, you know, had a background with lasering and 3d printing from the days of our
work and within 2022 we end up started to uh having our llc in staten island and we started to uh help
out with a lot of the um community centers and started making toys for the for the churches for
the mosques for the senegal's and literally just building boxes for toys for like for kids that have a little bit of like, you know, with speech pathology, really good speeches and kind of building out cubes and toys.
And then we laser the letters on it. And pretty much that's how I kind of got my start into lasering and having a passion for it in the real world.

Bringing it into the Web3,
I was just randomly in the,
what was the space?
Oh, in the Unrugable space, yes.
I was just in the space
and while Visionary Haydens, they were talking,
we had many of us that started out with them.
I was just lasering their PFPs onto metals and leather
and just looked at me like, what the hell? How did you do that? I'm like, oh was just lasering their PFPs onto metals and leather and just looked at me like what
the hell how did you do that I'm like oh just lasering and it really didn't take that much time
because you know I already knew the settings right I kind of put my settings to like 10% depth and
making sure the art is like clear and getting the actual image and doing so I was able to kind of
have that uh meshed out and I was able to ship it out.
And that's when they were telling me, hey, you should do more of this.
You should get in practice of this.
So I did.
I did a lot of communities later on.
And I got to give shout out to many of the people here that said, hey, why don't you start lasering for this NFT launch that we're doing?
We want to reward our winners and whatnot. said sure let's do it hey how about shipping
and ultimately that was the biggest question like how is shipping man how do you how do you end up
making um data uh you know a feasible process right and i was like oh man i gotta ship 18
dollars to international 22 and i was able to get it down to the point of $2 to $5 range.
And I was kind of really happy because I was lasering, let's say, for example, Jinsu's Wonderful Friends, PFP, right?
And Jinsu said, hey, I need a nice message or a call on the back.
I'll laser that.
I'll wait on the scale and say, you know what?
This fits the bill and it will be shipped within the week or two.
And once the person receives it i see that
first image and if you check my my twitter page we'll see people posting that's their vision
coming to life right and that's one of the things that i really love doing to see that hey
if i can help meet you halfway there of your vision to get something into the real world
and that's i think that's how all creators are, right? When we create something and we design something,
we want to see it to come to life, right?
Whether it's games or if it's art or if it's,
I mean, anything, right?
You kind of want to build that out, right?
You want to kind of see your project come to life.
And honestly, man, without the help of,
if it wasn't for everybody here,
I don't think it'll be doable.
I don't think that'll be even a a fathom of a dream man so like it happened i did over like 400
like pieces for one project 200 for another somebody said can you do something for my
grandmother i said i got you you know i did that then martek he's not here in the space but martek
you know told me that yo, let's do something crazy.
Let's do some dog bowls. And LK is there in the show. Shout out to LK.
You know, I did a dog bowl and it reached LK, man.
Oh, man. Now her dog is eating from the dog bowl with the laser name.
So it's so cool where your art and vision could go.
And you said L's, right? And some of the L's that I would say,
personally, was the waiting, right? I think I was too nervous. I was kind of scared to be like,
oh, man, I don't think people will really like it. I don't think people will really say, hey,
I want to do lasering. Is it, I don't know. I was shy about it. I didn't know. I was scared to speak
on spaces. I'm just like, ah, I don't know. I don't think was shy about it. You know, I didn't know. I was scared to speak on spaces.
You know, I'm just like, I don't know. I don't think I can do this kind of stuff.
You know, this is good for Asian or something or Jinsu or Abraham or a man, you know, like LK or Kristen, you know.
But then I sat there. I say, you know what? It's whatever. Let me say. Let me speak my mind, man. Let me talk to the people that are here. Let me talk to the legends that are
building here, right? Everybody that's building had to start from somewhere. So I did. So I started
talking. Now I can't stop talking and I show up to every space late or early. But now I'm able to
bring Lasering to life. I'm able to connect with many communities. And many of you guys that do
know me, I love to buy P&Ps. I love to build and buy the vision but more importantly support the vision so again for folks that are

I think that, man, I'm having, first and foremost, man, I'm having a fantastic day.
Took the kids out to the park.
Got a lot of construction going on on my house, so I can't really, I'm kind of pinned at home.
But while I'm here, I'm tapped in with you guys, man.
And what a phenomenal conversation you got going, man.
If I was to contribute to the conversation, I guess one of the ones that I would go with is that it's very easy to get lost in this space, fam.
Attention is everywhere.
And you just need to remember to always fill your cup first.
Before you go and you show love and support to everybody else, make sure that you're thriving and you can operate from a level of abundance.
Moving forward in the space, there are certain things that from like a project standpoint as well that we did away with, such as like Mega Rumbles being one of them.
Our DAOs, we kind of take the decision making out of the project and put it into the hand of the DAO.
Over at the Friends Factory, we have a DAO called the 404.
And we let them make all the major project shifts and directions for the project. Also, you know, when it comes to the monetary and liquidity events,
we make sure that we take it to the DAO so that we can hear their words.
Because it's the raw voice of the community that got us as far as we did thus far.
Haven't been that long in the space, but man, what a ride it has been.
So for me, my cup runneth.
And what that means is that before you start to pour water out for others,
you need to make sure that your cup itself is full.
Make sure that you have a bag. Make sure you stay liquid. Make sure you stake Solana because
sometimes I know that I'm one of them. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I like to show support to
multiple projects, but at the same time, that will definitely take away from the treasury,
not the project funds. I'm talking about my personal treasury, uh, if I was to show too much support all at once. So for me, uh, you got to
make sure that the bag is good at home and that, uh, you not only take your PNLs, but PNLs are
only valid if they're realized, fam, you know, moving forward, dude, make sure that when you
take profits, it's not just you taking profits in your wallet, fam. It's also, you know, forward dude make sure that when you take profits it's not just
you taking profits in your wallet fam it's also you know off-ramping some cash and uh yeah man
whoa let's go man make profits for yourself feed yourself right you gotta make sure you
you know you gotta have that diet right if you go in there uh fasting i mean that's great you're
gonna have a little slim slim you know on the sides but you gotta make sure you feed yourself feed your family
and honestly man jinsu i mean that's the way to kick it man i have a question jinsu since you know
you're a project founder and you make you know friends you know what is friends man i mean
you know uh is it based on the show friends uh how did you get this idea of Friends? Or how did it come about?
If you can tell us, you know, I mean, I love Friends.
You know, I like your PFE.
Well, firstly, I have to, like, correct a little thing there.
I am not the original founder of the Friends Factory.
That's my man, Bensi.
The German mind behind the Friends Factory is the reason why we all came together.
But the Friends Factory is a culmination of 75 artists in the space who were already friends and decided to do one of ones for one project.
Thus the name the Friends Factory.
It's more of an attribute and a testament to the artists in the space that became so much more with the phrase that we,
I guess, that we coined, friendship, which is very important in the space.
And I think that it's kind of missing.
You kind of got a glisten of it from the whole love meta.
But sometimes people don't need love.
What they do need is a friend.
Because you can show people love and show up to their space but what they actually need is they need a friend to tell them listen man you're not
doing the right thing you know you're you're you you kind of lost when's the last time you went to
the gym when's the last time you ain't healthy well when's the last time you took profits don't
forget to take profits like there's there's so much to the friendship meta fam. Um, and for me, the biggest one is, uh, building genuine connections into space for me, my
mission, um, again, uh, I guess you can call me more of a project founder, even though
Banksy likes to call me a founder for me.
I didn't found, I never founded the project, so I cannot technically call myself the founder
of the project.
Um, however, uh, moving forward into space, fam,
I think it's an important fucking build for everybody. You kind of seen the benefits yourself,
Laser, from everything that the Friends Factory has to offer. Shout out to some of the friends
that's in the listeners box, fam. EJC, Rupi, love you guys, man. We always show up, fam. And you
know what? We show up for you,
but we also show up for ourselves because you know,
there's a lot of great takes. Um,
you got some dope individuals that are here that teach you how to move appropriately
in the space. And, uh, we're at no point is your friends trying to change your
mind more so than we're trying to change your perspective to invite you to a
different way
of looking at things. I'll give you an example of one take. Certain people don't like the
dogenal dogs, right? And they say, oh, those guys, they rugged their community and this,
that, whatever. And for me and for some of the other friends, they ate, like, no matter how mad
or they rugged people, Yes, it's terrible.
But some people in this space are profit-maxxing.
Some people are that much more blatant, and it's black and white.
And others, they kind of cloak and dagger.
You know, they kind of do things in the shadows.
Not us, fam.
That's not what we're here for.
I don't necessarily need the space. I do now.
I didn't need the space before because I i do well financially but i do need it for
the connections that i have made in the space and for me that's the bigger build that's the longer
build and dog it's a slow cook man but i tell you it when you do and you look at all the stuff that
you was able to do my headphones just died down dog man i was waiting for the mic drop

have the wall of China bro just by building brick by brick in this basement

Okay, so my name is, our real name is Alex.
I'm a spill the beans
I'm 32
I live here in Oklahoma
and I started my journey
back in late 2020
and so
whenever I started that
I actually started on TikTok
I found NFTs
I found a person
that was making a collection of clothing to go to go
with the NFT itself. And he was supposed to like hook you up with a one-of-one piece of clothing
or whatever it was. And so I got drawn in that way. I ended up minting the collection. It rubbed.
And then it brought me to Alan, the NFT guy, which I don't know if any of you know who that is.
He was the creator of the Crypto Cannibals.
I ended up getting with him and minting his project and holding one of those for a while.
From there, I ended up getting, like, I think my first crypto that I bought besides Solana was Dogecoin.

Night Live episode that Elon did whenever he said some bullshit and the token just like
crashed. And then shortly after that is when I started getting into shitcoins. And that
was before what we have today is meme coins, which I don't know. I don't think that we
called them meme coins back then. I think they were shit coins and so the first shit
one that I bought was baby doge and I really liked what they were doing what they were building they ended up having their
logo wrapped on a NASCAR at one point they were doing things to get dogs off the streets that were homeless and sheltered in them and stuff like that
off the streets that were homeless and sheltered in and stuff like that.
I ended up making a bag.
I turned $20 into like $1,500.
That was my first cash out that I've done.
And I was like, okay, so this is legit.
You can actually make money in this space.
And then from there, I ended up making my own project
and made a little bit, I think, in the whole project.
I made like .4 Ethereum.
I had a lot of people that were riding with
me until it just kind of, I was just kind of doing it on my own. Tricky. I think you might
have been around for that. I'm not really sure. Um, but yeah, uh, and now I just kind of, I just
been collecting NFT since then took a break, uh, for about six months, a couple of years ago.
Um, and then came back with lunars and all that, been vibing
with all the smaller communities.
We have such a tight circle that everybody here
interacts with and I absolutely love that.
And, you know,
even my wife asked me like a month or so
ago, she's like, why don't you get back into NFTs?
Why did you stop buying meme coins?
And I said, well, for one, I'm getting
right, left and fucking right
buying all these meme coins. And two, I mean, I really miss vibing for one, I'm getting right, left, and fucking right, buying all these meme coins.
And two, I mean, I really miss vibing with people.
I don't like watching the chart all the time.
I like being able to go and collect a piece of art or a coin from a collection, a small community,
and just, you know, just vibe with people, get to know people, and build connections that way.
Just, you know, just vibe with people, get to know people and build connections that way.
And yeah, and the whole reason why I have the name Wetball to Soppy is actually because I created my X account and I needed something other than what I had before.
And so that's just kind of how it brought me here today.
And now I'm sitting here holding a draft tower which I'm incredibly blessed to have I
don't know Christians in the audience but shout out to Christian I end up doing a
trade with him the value was not equal he was more so doing it to help me out
and he saw how bad I wanted into the into the community I didn't exactly have
all the funds to even if I just wanted to go for all my NFTs at the time and go try to buy one, it wasn't going to happen.
And so, Gavin, and now here I am chatting with all you guys.
And I honestly, this has probably been some of the best times of my life, being in crypto, being in these NFT communities.
And just being able to meet all these
different people from all over the world it's been absolutely amazing and yeah
you forgot the haircut part though oh, I'm a barber too. Yeah, so like today I had two of them that came back.
They're actually originally from Italia and they're just like in the U.S. for a little bit.
So that was pretty cool. They don't really speak much English, but it's enough to where I can understand
what they want and how to execute what they're looking for.
But, yeah, dude, I really love barbering.
I've been doing this since I graduated back in October of 2024.
And so before that, I mean, before I got into school, which I did for a whole year,
I was kind of cutting hair.
I was cutting my own hair.
I was cutting my kids' hair and a couple of friends like here and there, but I didn't know how to fade or anything like that.
And so and I didn't know that barbering school was actually an option.
When I found that out, I was like, OK, yeah, I'm going to give this a shot.
I'm tired of working this nine to five.
And I did what some of us in the community call firing your boss. I actually had to, I sat down with him and was like, Hey, I'm going to actually
be going to school full time. And so you're fired by the fire. I didn't say that, but he was a
really good dude. He was understanding about it. He was very supportive and I've had a lot of
support throughout the whole way. And I still continue to have support and um signing up like most of the
support that i get is from people in the space and you guys like you guys don't even come into
my shop and get a haircut so yeah i'm very grateful for the situation that i'm in right now
and honestly i didn't see any of this coming i thought i was just gonna be stuck by and you know so that kind of
turned around big time so see the man cuts hair the band came to buy some
meme coins the guy came in and got giraffes

Man, everything is looking up, dude uh things are looking awesome i got three collabs
right now i'm trying to work on with a new project uh i got it i won't i'm not gonna say too much but
uh music collab edible collab blown glass collab and i'll be taking over another account so i'll have a seventh account
that's got like six figure followers um probably starting next week i can't i can't say much more
than that but uh so you're probably already following that account but it'll be me behind it
yo tricky you're you're making multi-move, man.
Can you give us an L moment that converted to a lesson?
A moment where you felt you were kind of in the growing,
but I don't like to say in the down phase.
I feel like we're always growing no matter what phase we're in.
But a phase break. I got the story on deck.

So I,
I got developed,
I developed Crohn's disease.
I already had Crohn's disease,
but it wasn't bad until I was like 25.
And then it took me out.
Like I was done.
I mean,
I was,
I was 10 years just like spiraling downward.
Like total pain,
throwing up constantly,
passing blood, going to the doctors, and they're
just throwing anti-anxiety meds at me. And I felt so fucking defeated. I was like, well, fuck it.
Let's get these double knee surgeries out of the way on both legs. So I got new quad tendons from
cadavers on both quads. And then I got a Fulkerson's osteotomy on both legs where they cut the shin
bone out, where the tendon comes across the patella and attaches to the lower part of your leg they cut the shin bone out right there they rotate it
90 degrees move it over and down and screw it in place it's never convenient to get knee surgeries
okay and i had to get two of them on each leg but because i felt so useless i was like it let's get
it done and i haven't dislocated in five years. I, before
that I dislocated my knees over 30 times. Like I lost track of how many times I dislocated my knees.
Um, and that was the beginning of the upswing from my health. Uh, I started having more confidence
in my legs. I was, you know, at that same time, I kind of like stumbled onto this positivity hack
where I was, you know, playing Call of Duty and things were getting toxic.
So I just started telling jokes to everybody. And because we always had I always had a joke loaded.
It made me more positive. And I was like, this is a freaking like this is a hack.
And that was when I met Webball. I jumped on to social media for the first time and started talking about how positivity can reprogram your
brain and that was the start of the same time a friend of mine who wanted me to make it a tease
for him bailed on me and stuck me with a project and i liked it i thought it was kind of cool
d5 space donkeys so i changed it into a club for lovers of crypto and nfts instead of just art
immediately cto'd that turned it into a club and here i am and NFTs instead of just art immediately CTO that shit turned it
into a club and here I am four years later with an epic intro that I got four-year-olds screaming
I'm working with crypto magazine I'm working with the weed coin I'm working with Cheech and Chong
like this this doesn't even feel real my followers included like Gary Vee and Carmen Electra. And it's just insane.
Like, it was such a bad low for me,
but it is kind of what I needed to get the surgeries
and then to start the whole upswing.
So you never know, man.
Sometimes you feel like you're totally fucking buried
and you've just been planted.
You know, it's too much no no no no no i i paused because i had a like a branch hit my front of my windshield so i'm like give me a second but um yeah man you know like i said that was my l moment
just now in space guys but it's a good moment because it didn't break but no absolutely i agree
what you're saying man look tricky know, one of the things is that
you mentioned, right? Especially when you're going through that phase, right? Some people give up,
some people be like, that's it. I'm just going to stay, you know, not enabled. Right. But the
fact that you turned that around and you made that a real moment of, you know what? F this,
I'm about to grow. I'm about to be somebody else better than yesterday. And that's what you did, right?
And I hope people that are listening,
that that's inspiring, man,
because you ain't going to hear the story at a town hall, right?
You're going to hear these stories
in these comfortable dinner type of spaces.

me in a way running popular i have people under me but i did have a lot of ventures in my life
and they were doing well and because jealousy and partnerships uh projects went south because of that.
So I think, you know, learning lesson for me is if you can do it on your own,
you know, you should.
But if you can't, I guess you have no choice sometimes to make a little money
and go and move on after.
But, yeah, a major learning lesson is a partnership sometimes.
Most times do not work.
And if you do it with your friends, you end up not speaking to each other after i had good friendships and it's gone now so that's my learning lesson right
the most important learning lesson in a way thanks laser oh anytime man and that's important right
there like you say like sometimes there's who you choose right and sometimes the pill you choose you
think that they'll be there in the long run and that's why it's so crucial
like like you say like if you can actually
Hold the fort by yourself and you know where you're steering the direction to you know
You pretty much did the the main purpose which is to start something right and obviously the friends are the or the folks that you
Invest your time in are the people that help help you elevate to that next step, right?
If not, like I said, you will find that person.
And if not, you will continue to steer that ship, you know?
You always need people.
That's not the case.

But just to start something by yourself, if you can,
it's better than just starting with people.

you both make money and you move on from that and build another project that's okay too but but you

in the space and i think that through that organic growth that you have been doing, you've found better quality individuals around you.
And I think that there's a lesson to be had even in that, fam,
because not just like a rocket ship.

And the boosters was like the first team.
And for you to really go into orbit,
sometimes it takes for you kind of removing yourself from certain things that stent your
growth. And I think that for the next phase of what Poplar is trying to do, because I think
you're doing phenomenal work, fam. Honestly, you got a lot of things cooking. Chill a little bit,
please. For you to get to that next phase, you need people who have already been there to kind
of help you get through that. So you're doing great, fam. And don't ever get discouraged because
I felt a little bit in your story. And I'm not saying that you are discouraged. I'm just saying
I felt that, man, because I've been through stuff where I've had friends and they leave or they G
and they leave and I get upset and it's like, man, we were supposed to do such cool stuff. And at the end of the day, like the new people who

So I'm going to pick a proverb that my wife and I say all the time.

It's a little long.
It's this Chinese proverb of a father or a man who has a horse and his horse runs away and
his neighbors come by and they say, oh, that's too bad. And so he tells the neighbors, you know what,
good or bad, who's to say? So then the horse comes back the next day with a dozen horses with it.
The neighbors come by again. They say, hey, that's good news. That's
awesome. Your horse came back with more horses. And he says, good or bad, who's to say? So the
son, the following weeks is breaking in all the horses. And then he breaks his leg, breaking in

And, um, when I first started, I was just a counter guy and I knew what I, I knew what
I needed to do to get there, but, um, I just, I just couldn't push it. I couldn't, I didn't have, I guess the,
the, um, the strength or the mind power to, uh, to just pull forward and, um, really,
really like flourish. Even though I knew what I was doing, I was always a little bit
scared to show like who I really was and, and show my voice. And it was not until that I was doing, I was always a little bit scared to show who I really was and show my voice.
It was not until that I, you know, my father, actually, I'm losing my father and just some of
the things he did, I kind of just took a step back and I really put everything that he used to do and
kind of just put what he used to do into the thing in his everyday life. You know, a voice,
it was one of the biggest things for me. I was always
very shy and I never wanted to come up and say anything to anyone and just let it go. But now
I'm not like that. I'm now a manager at a Johnstone supply company. I run this company. I've
been running it out for a year. I just got a nice little bonus there. I took the store up to 2
million. So it's something that I'm very proud of.
And, yeah, so my father really gave me that voice that I have today, you know,
and the balls, I would say, to do things that I've never did before.

I heard from an earlier space, we was on an earlier space together
about a week or two ago where you said that, you know,
like you almost got drained because someone was trying to take your information and such.
I'm sure that there's plenty of lessons there, fam.
But if you could, give us a story where you took an L, but you learned from it.
And so that we don't have to take the L.
If you guys don't get what's the goal of this entire space,
it's so that you don't take the L.
The less L's, the less losses you take across the board, that's how you start to win, fam.

Yes, so thank you so much for actually remembering that story that happened to me, which was a Web 2 scam, actually.
a web 2 scam actually so I was actually doing something for one of our project
one of our project partners partnerships I'll call it a partnership one of our partnerships
I got sent a zip file and I was unzipping it on my computer and it unzipped, but then a big blue pop-up came up and said download. And it was,
I was like, I just unzipped this. And so it's, but it's saying download. So I pressed download
and then all of a sudden I got these, this automated voice came over the screen and then it said a pop-up came up, call Apple support.
And it had a number at the bottom and it's a, it's an, it's a Mac PC.
So I was like, Oh, this has happened to me before on my phone.
Um, you know, where they tell you, where you get prompted a message, or if you have to call
Apple support, you call them and they help guide through you, guide through the problem with you
by screen sharing or going into your phone. So with you. And so I called the number and somebody
answered and they told me to what to do. Like they asked if they could share their screen with me and get into my computer and help me.
Shout off the automated voice because the automated voice came on and said, your IP address has been stolen.
Please call the number provided on the screen.
And it kept going off and repeating that.
It was a woman's voice, automated voice saying that. So I was like, bugged out, freaked out. I called, a man answered. He, you know, we got into talking and he told me he would help me, you know, fix my computer screen and also fix the issue with the IP address being stolen
in my computer system. So when he got into my system, he downloaded some cloud server.
It was called supermo, supermo, supermo.com. And basically what that does, I learned after, is it sits on your
computer and it steals all of your information and it will send it back to basically the dark web.
But this person who I was calling, which I thought was Apple support, will have access to all of that.
If he said, if they set it up the correct way, which he was doing, um, what he also did was
told me that, um, he was going to do some fake. So he went right straight, straight to my digital wallet and he told me that um he was going to help make sure
that nobody um drained my assets or any money that I had in it um so he asked what was the
what are the cards that I use debit cards um and I said they they're already in the system in my wallet. You know, I explained
things to him and he went and he said, I'm going to make some dummy transactions. They're not going
to go through. He tried to buy $400 of Bitcoin. He tried to actually, he said it was a dummy transaction, which it was not.
He also got my cash app that was in my phone.
He went into the app as we were sharing screens.
And he told me he was going to do a dummy transaction and withdraw money out of my savings.
But he told me that what he was doing when he was doing the dummy transactions
were he was putting security around those apps so they couldn't be hacked by the person that
hacked my IP address. And I just thought it was so weird that he went straight for my digital wallet,
went for my cash app. He also told me he was doing that dummy transaction and he tried withdrawing a bunch of
money two different times from my bank account into my cash app. And as this is all going on,
I'm just going crazy, like thinking, you know, what's happening? And, you know, he slipped up
and said a couple of things that weren't professional. Like he said, I was freaking out and I sounded like his grandmother.
That was like a red flag right there because Apple support does not talk like that.
And he said like a couple other things as well.
He kept me on the phone for well over an hour.
for well over an hour.
And basically, what else he did was he opened up a Home Depot account
and charged $1,000 onto that.
He also opened up a G2A.com account,
and he tried buying gaming stuff.
He told me these were all dummy transactions,
and they wouldn't go through.
Yeah. Anyways, fast forward forward i had to cancel all of my head's been blown my head's been blown away by the amount of facts and and and things that you've come out about uh a partner or something
you know and it's crazy relationships arehips are wild. Sorry, Lazy.
I was just thinking like, wow, there's so much here. So Lazy, carry on.
Yeah, B, go ahead.
Yeah, no, that was a Web2 scam and I had to cancel all my cards. I went straight to the
bank and I had to tell them, you know, these were all fraudulent accounts.
I mean, there was all fraudulent transactions.
These were not me.
And this was the first time this has ever happened to me.
I'm very safe.
I'm very precautious with what I do. Because whatever I clicked on the screen was just, it was something that had popped up, which was some sort of hack on my computer screen.
I don't know how that even happened.
But when I clicked that download button, this guy did this.
I don't know how.
But, yeah, it was very crazy.
Very crazy. Very crazy. It was a great learning experience and thank you for sharing it with us because I feel like even if we can save one person from the fade fam, it means the world to
us. Thank you for sharing the story. Um, Bay and, uh, man, I'm so glad that you're okay. You was
able to get all that back. Um, man, moving on to the next speaker, you know, because I know laser
is going, is, is doing a whole bunch of stuff. IRL, he just texted me on the back end. We're going to go over to my man, Rick Starr. Rick Starr,
what's good, fam? I guess the question is, you know, from L's to lessons, man, if we can kind
of save us from the fade, fam, some of the L's that you've taken in this space and how they turn
into lessons. And even if you just want to avoid that entirely and just give us your story that's completely fine fam
what's good yo yo what's up guys uh yeah i'm happy to be i just wanted to obviously share a little
bit of info uh since i'm up here being in this space since 2021 so i've seen i think every single
scam uh you can imagine being run um i'll just talk
about some of the most recent scams that i've seen uh that people should watch out for one
uh getting dms from people just uh like bay ape said uh the lady before me said getting dms from
people offering you jobs telling you that uh either to be a games tester moderator
community manager anything like that uh they'll ask you oh please let's have a zoom call that
immediately should be a red flag but anyone that asks you to click any external link in the dms i
would say nine times out of ten it's a scam and it's exactly what Babes was describing
what they install on your computer is a key logger so logs every single keystroke that you make
it can be like any desk and stuff but that's a bit too obvious because what happens with that
is normally in the top of your screen you'll see that your screen's
being recorded so that's a red flag to most people so what they do is they use a key logger
and they just log every single key that you press on your keyboard um and so they can get access to
a lot of things through that banking accounts uh your x your discord whatever it might be uh but just be very careful with clicking links
in the dms that's going around a lot at the moment uh the other thing that's going around
is blackmailing from scammers saying they're going to bot your account um unless you pay them
that's like also a thing that's going around at the moment it's just chances uh but the
most recent one that i've seen is called the dress poisoning and what that is is they will send a
small amount of eath to your wallet uh from a vanity address now uh a vanity address is a
address that they can generate on on ethereum or whatever network it might be but most commonly ethereum
and it has the first six and the last six digits of your address so it looks exactly the same as
your address the first six and the last six but the middle is obviously going to be different it
can't be the same as your address but they can generate these addresses that they called vanity addresses. And then what they do is they will send a fraction of,
ETH to an account that you interact with a lot.
and they'll do that over and over.
And what happens is you'll,
if you use your address book and things like safe wallets and metamask
phantom phantoms,
also quite like,
cause people are using the address at the
moment the ads so they'll send you like um like little bits of soul but with an ad that's just
slightly different to the person that you've been interacting with and then when you go to send them
some money you're going to click on that thinking that it's a person you're going to look at the
address it's going to have the same first six the same last six and you're going to think that's the right one you're going to send
it your money's gone it gets into the vanity address and immediately gets into another address
so you can look it up it's called the dress poisoning it is uh quite rough at the moment
and people are doing that but it just goes to show how sneaky these guys are and the lengths that they're
willing to go to scam us so we have to be very very careful if you are navigating uh web 3 right
now without pocket universe or wallet guard it's like you're walking around it's like you walk
around a shooting range with no bulletproof vest on you know what i mean you're
asking for trouble so just at least have because they're free pocket universe or wallet card
pocket universe ensures you for 20 000 on your assets as long as you sign that transaction first
so as long as they're trying because you signed two transactions you sign their transaction
then you sign the metamask one if you sign their one first and then the metamask one
you are covered for 20 grand if if if you don't then obviously you if you turn it off or whatever
then you're not covered so you must always sign that and the reason you would turn it off is like
if you wanted to mint quickly or something like that.
Also, hella risky stuff.
So if you're degenning, use a burner wallet.
Don't even use a wallet that's got anything on it.
Anything that has any value on it should be used with Pocket Universe or Wallet Guard.
Both free Google extensions that you can use.
And they're going to send a test transaction every
time you you start a transaction and the test transaction shows you on screen you're going to
take out this amount of money and you're going to get one nft or you're going to lose one nft and
you're going to gain this amount of eith it shows you very clearly on black and white what's about to happen.
And if you click except from there, you're covered, you know, because if it's wrong,
there'll be a big warning. Do not sign this. This is a malicious. And then obviously you don't sign
it. But if that doesn't come up and you click it, you covered for 20 grand. So think about that.
Why not have some of one of these tools?
So anyway, I just wanted to give some of the more recent scams,
some of the stuff that I've seen going around more recently in this space.
And just point that stuff out.
Social engineering right now is rough in this space
because people know that crypto has gone up
and you know bitcoin's worth a bit more east east been going up and all of that so they are targeting
in the space right now they they know that a lot of new people are coming into the space
so they try to take advantage of that just never click click any links as a rule for yourself
just only if it's an official link.

specific thing i just focus on gmgn now so uh that's pretty much it i just i know who who my
conviction plays are you know i have my long-term plays that i've had since 2016 i bought into xrp
when it was under 10 cents i got my bitcoin when it was 400 i've got those long-term ones that
i've obviously had huge gains on but for shorter shorter-term stuff, nothing has actually made me money except for Gary and my own coin.
I'm up 17% on Gary.

Because like, you know, the hype that goes on in real life is not going to lead you to, you know, make a make a lifelong decision for your family.
So, you know, as I said, like, I mean, there's definitely been some down times and all that kind of stuff.
But I just really chalk them up to experiences.
That's just the nature of the beast.

And when you are put back into a corner for money, you will do anything to get it.
Not me. I have integrity integrity i have value i have

your worth is make sure you are important to yourself protect yourself at all costs
protect yourself at all costs there are so many things out there they play on your
um learning your your your unlearned knowledge the stuff you don't know they play on that they
