Music Hello, can you hear me? Thank you. Gracias. hello can you hear me hello hello yes great great uh let's just wait for our other audience sorry
i think the internet went went down somehow so our old link didn't really work well.
So everyone, just feel free to share the new link with your friends in the community.
And we are just about to start probably in five minutes.
Thank you, everyone, for tuning in.
Okay, sounds good. Thank you.
Okay. Thank you, Felicia.
I think it's time, so that's why.
Let me share the new link. Thank you. Gracias. Obrigado. Okay, give me some seconds.
So first thing first, can everyone hear me loud and clear yes okay great uh let's do a quick mic check uh erin uh how's everything going on your side
can you hear me erin hello yes i can hear you jean uh Nice to be here. Okay, great. Sorry for the link.
Yeah, I think there was some internet issue.
And also, Felicia, I'm able to hear you.
That's pretty good. So our mics are fine.
And so, all right, let's get this show on the road.
Although we met some boundaries, so still good morning, good evening,
or wherever you're tuning in from.
I hope you're all doing well. I'm Jing, and I'll be your host for today's Partner Pulse AMA,
brought to you by Shintu Chen. I'm super stoked to be here today and have all of you guys.
And trust me, I think today is going to be fun, insightful session. And we've got heaps lined up for you.
So make sure you stay in the space as long as you can.
So before we dive into the juicy bits,
so let me give you a quick overview of what just happened lately.
So Validation Cloud has just partnered with Shen Du Chen
and officially joined us as a validator. So this is
pretty massive for us because it's just enhancing the security and reliability of our network.
And we're absolutely buzzing about the possibilities it opens up for more secure
and innovative blockchain applications. So we got this AMA lined up with some incredible insight today, and we are thrilled to have two amazing guests with us.
You already know who they are.
So first up, we've got Aaron, so the Senior Product Manager at Validation Cloud.
He is a true expert at Web3 Data and AI, and we are lucky to have him here. We also got Felicia, the
operation managers here at Shentu Chen. So I think some of you might already know her,
but if you don't, you're in for a treat. So now, before we jump into the deeper topics,
let's hear a little bit more about our guests so Aaron why don't you
kick things off and tell us a little bit about yourself hey Gene yes thank you hi everyone
it was a lovely introduction kind words so I'm Aaron Cottrell as a senior product manager at
Validation Cloud tell you about Validation Cloud in a little while. A little about me.
Been in Web3 for about five years.
Before this, I was working on blockchain analytics,
which is tracing bad actors in blockchain.
And now work more in the infrastructure and tech side.
So yeah, happy to be here joining you from the UK.
It is a bit cloudy today. But yeah, nice to be here joining you from the UK. Spring has arrived. It's a bit cloudy today.
But yeah, nice to be here.
I'll pass it over to Felicia.
Felicia, do you want to tell us a little bit about yourself?
And I've been in the crypto space for more than
three years and i joined shenthu for more than one year and i'm happy to be the operation manager and
get invited to uh representation too in these occasions and some of you have already know me
some of you don't so i will be giving like some introductions about shentu in a bit. And again, before we happen, before the MA happens,
and wish you like have a wonderful time with us today
and, you know, get to know us better.
And also a big thank you to all the audience
You guys are really smart
because you're able to find the newest link
and really appreciate that.
So our AMA will include like about 10 questions
So first, I want to ask Felicia,
can you please give our audience
like a quick rundown option to Chen?
They're all tuned in and what set this apart.
I'm sure everyone wants to hear more.
So Shentu Chen is a layer one blockchain
built with using the Cosmos SDK
and is designed specifically to prioritize security
and reliability within the blockchain ecosystem.
And I think a key differentiator for Shen2 is our foundational approach to security.
By leveraging the flexibility, modularity, and high-performance capabilities of the Cosmos SDK,
Shen2 can effectively implement frequent upgrades and enhancements to stay ahead in
So Shuntu has a mission, and our mission is straightforward, which is to create a safer
blockchain environment for all stakeholders, including developers, project teams, and individual users. We deliver provable trust
and advanced security solutions to enable confident participants in Web3. Essentially,
Shentu acts as a trusted safeguard within the blockchain community.
within the blockchain community.
From a technical level, so technically speaking,
Shentu employs a delegated proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.
It utilizes the Cosmos framework known for seamless interchain compatibility,
and Shentu fully supports an EVM compatible virtual machine.
So this means developers experience minimal friction
when building on or integrating with our platform
as security, scalability, and interoperability are inherently integrated.
Shinto is committed not only to protecting blockchain projects, but also
empowering them to innovate and grow without the burden of security concerns.
Well, thank you, Felicia. That sounds really exciting and really tech, really heavy knowledge.
Yeah, I think it's awesome to know that Shentu is all about protecting blockchain project
while empowering people to grow and innovate.
So let's move on to the next one.
So I'm pretty sure that the community is dying to know how Shentu came to be
and what makes it stand out.
Can you also share us the story behind Shentu's creation? how Shen2 came to be and what makes it stand out.
Can you also share us the story behind Shen2's creation?
What are the driving force behind it and what makes it, you know,
a game changer in the world of blockchain security?
So I think the foundation or the Shen2u team believed that blockchain technology, while transformative,
but they inherently carry significant security risks.
And the rapid rise in crypto assets value has increasingly attracted malicious actors. So to illustrate, I think in 2024 alone, cyber attacks resulted in losses amounting to about 2.2 billion.
And this primary vulnerability stems from blockchain infrastructure and smart contract logic being publicly transparent.
While this transparency fosters innovation, it simultaneously exposes systems to exploitation.
And Shintu was specifically established to address this fundamental issue.
So we recognize that security must be proactive and intrinsic
rather than reactive and supplementary.
Unlike conventional approaches that really heavily on off-chain security practices,
Shentu introduces real-time and on-chain security intelligence.
And security is deeply embedded within our blockchain's architecture
to ensure continuous and proactive protection.
So to achieve this, Shentu has developed a comprehensive suite of security solutions, including OpenBounty, which is a decentralized bug bounty platform, incentivizing developers to discover and rectify vulnerabilities.
We also have security oracles, which are real-time on-chain sources of security insights and threat intelligence.
We also have advanced security tools such as multi-signature wallets and the Cosmos
They were designed to explicitly see enhanced asset protection.
see enhanced and asset protection.
So in a word, Shentu proactively identifies and mitigates vulnerabilities before they lead to incidents.
And our vision is to create an environment where every transaction and smart contract interaction is continuously monitored and secured
to significantly reduce the risks
inherited in blockchain technology.
A pretty exciting and pretty powerful story.
I think it really showcased Shentu's unique approach to secure the blockchain space.
So yeah, let's move on to the next question.
Since you mentioned about Open Bounty a lot, and it seems like Open Bounty plays a really vital role
in Shenthu ecosystem. So can you please tell us more about that? The Open Bounty?
Yeah, sure, of course. Open Bounty is indeed a critical component
of Shantou's security framework
and is also very central to our mission
of proactive threat mitigation
and vulnerability resolution.
Shantou Chain is equipped with a diverse array
of decentralized and on-chain security mechanisms,
prominently including Open Bounty and the security oracles.
Our blockchain infrastructure is strategically developed to ensure
high compatibility with existing blockchain environments and virtual machines,
facilitating seamless integration and deployment of robust security measures.
OpenBounty itself, it distinguishes itself as a decentralized bug bounty platform designed to
foster transparency and accountability within the blockchain security community. It effectively connects skilled ethical hackers with blockchain
projects to promote the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities before the
hacks can occur. So our approach involves direct engagement with ethical security researchers,
enabling collaboration with blockchain projects,
participating in OpenBounty. We think this proactive and cooperative effort aims to resolve
vulnerabilities swiftly and effectively, so thereby enhancing like overall ecosystem security.
overall ecosystem security.
So ultimately, we believe OpenBounty represents more than just a security tool.
It is a foundational component of Shen2's proactive and security strategy, ensuring
real-time protection and enhanced resilience across blockchain projects.
Yeah, I see. It's really interesting and pretty clear because you said that OpenBounty is kind of like a game changer because it's intervising
the contributions and also improve the overall blockchain security. I think that's really impressive. Yeah. So you've talked about Open Bounty. So
I'm wondering, can you please give us a sneak peek into like any upcoming features or initiatives
that Shen2 is working on right now that you're excited to share to the community? I'm sure that
we did share some, you know, information before, but I'm sure you got a lot more to share to the community. I'm sure that we did share some, you know, information before, but I'm sure you got
a lot more to share to the community, right? Yeah, sure. Of course. So I'm excited to share
with you guys like what we have got coming up at Shentu. So we are diving into the DISA area, like one of the hottest and most exciting areas in the blockchain space right now.
We use blockchain to tackle complex mathematical research problems and leveraging Shentu security features alongside like code-based zero-knowledge proofs for validation.
zero knowledge proofs for validation. We are building a blockchain-powered decentralized
platform, and it is built to totally change how mass research happens. And we are talking about
collaboration, transparency, and validation. So basically a space for mathematicians to come up
together and solve problems and innovate without all the traditional barriers.
And I can talk about what makes it stand out.
So first we have collaborative problem solving.
You can post math problems, break them into smaller tasks
and get global researchers to jump in and help solve them.
And then we have blockchain security.
So with chain to chain, everything's transparent, immutable and verifiable. So there won't be like
any trust issues here. We also have token incentives. So researchers and validators
are not just working for fun. They're earning tokens for their contributions.
And we also have zero knowledge proofs.
So people can submit solutions without revealing the details.
So they can keep everything private but still verified.
So how does it actually work?
You can post a task, set a reward pool, and set deadlines. Then you break
it down into subtasks to make the process faster. And then researchers dab in and submit their
solutions. And OpenMath validators will verify it with cog and zero knowledge proofs. Once it's all wrapped up, rewards can be handed out
to everyone who helped make it happen.
but with the power of blockchain
and the best of crypto's decentralized vibe.
So there will be no more old school hurdles
and just efficient, trustless
and collaborative problem solving.
We are really excited to bring it to life
because it's a whole new way of bringing researchers together
to collaborate on some truly complex challenges.
Sounds more like a serious, powerful feature, though.
I've heard people talking about Deci a lot,
like recently on DEFCON and also at Hong Kong.
So it's pretty a new area that Shintu will dive into.
And also... you hear me yeah and i think yeah sorry uh sorry for the connecting so i think it's going to
revolutionize the way that we do for math research in the blockchain space So it's exciting to see how Shintu pushing boundaries
into innovations like this.
And I'm super pumped to see how it will involve
and change the game pretty much, you know,
And also, Felicia, for those who are listening today,
where can they learn more about Shintu Chen
and get involved for the community?
I'm sure everyone wants to know
how they can stay connected
and engage with our team.
So I think the first place to check out
is our website, shintu.org.
And that's where you will find everything
and our tag, our white paper the
tools and all the latest updates on what we are building also we have like a blog page that you
can check out you can also dive into shentu shen's explorer and it is our own like blockchain
explorer and analytics platform so you can look for like block heist, transactions,
wallet addresses, and the validator's info
and everything's seamless on Explorer.
So for developers, our GitHub is packed with resources,
tools, and technical updates to help you build safely.
We are also active on social media and you can find our Twitter at ShintuChain
and join our Telegram and Discord communities. So if you have any questions, you can reach out to us
and we will connect you with the right people. So I believe community is the key. And whether you are a validator, developer, investor or crypto enthusiast, you are always welcome to join the Shinto family.
OK, thank you a lot. Thanks a lot for the information, Felicia.
OK, thank you. So now let's shift gears and turn our attention to our amazing partner, Validation Cloud.
So Aaron, as the senior product manager, I'd love to hear from you to know more about Validation Cloud.
Yeah, so I'd love to know that about the foundation background
as well as the mission and the vision behind Validation Cloud.
I'm sure our audience is eager to learn how you guys are pushing the boundaries.
Yeah, over to you, Aaron.
Yeah, thanks again for having me.
So this is Aaron of Validation Cloud.
So we, if you haven't heard of us, we're a Web3 data and AI company. So we help connect organizations into Web3 through our fast, scalable and intelligent platform.
We have people all over the world. I'm in the UK, we've got people in Canada, America,
rest of Europe, like all sorts of places. The founding story of the company,
so once upon a time in 2018 or 2019, which seems like a long time ago now,
Michael, Alex, Alex, we've got two Alex's and Andrew, our founding members were sort of looking into Web3 from an investment perspective, like on the capital side. early blockchains that needed to have a devnet or have a testnet and then hopefully go all the
way through to mainnet they saw that the the validator infrastructure the way that people
could connect into chains through technologies like RPC like the providers or people doing it
themselves it didn't really work there was a lot of stuff that went wrong. And this is the earliest stages of blockchains getting going.
So when those things go wrong, it really slows momentum and kind of kills confidence in what's going on.
So they spotted an opportunity to bring that infrastructure, reliable infrastructure to those networks and the developers in those ecosystems.
and the developers in those ecosystems.
And that spawned Validation Cloud.
And that spawned Validation Cloud.
So I guess in a nutshell,
we built our sort of entire Web3 platform
on some of the Web2 sort of fundamentals and pillars,
which are number one, performance.
So high uptime, low latency,
whether it's a validator or RPC calls.
Number two, scalability. Soability so handling you know a few
requests a second to thousands being able to scale things up uh and three compliance so i know shentu
is is big on security so we uh so we're sock two compliant across our across our whole platform
um and the mission of the company is to expand the GDP
or the gross domestic product of the entirety of Web3,
facilitating every interaction and transaction.
And the last thing I'll say on this point
is we recently raised 15 million US dollars
and that's to expand our mission on various fronts.
Wow, I see. That sounds pretty exciting. Yeah. So I think that's really some solid
insight, Aaron. I think it's really clear that Bell cloud is all about delivering the top tier performance while still keep everything scalable and compliance.
As you said, the gas fee is pretty low.
Yeah, so let's keep it rolling.
So moving on to our next question.
So what are the key products and services offered by Validation Cloud, and how do these cater to the needs of institutional clients
when it comes to things like node operations,
staking, and data services.
So feel free to break it down for our audience
so they can really understand what sets you apart.
Yeah. So if you imagine three circles and going from left to right, like in terms of what a blockchain needs as it gets started,
the first one on the left is having validators for consensus. So you need to be able to have
a chain that produces blocks and goes forward. So we run validators on networks like Shentu
And the whole purpose there is to help the network move forward.
But also if asset managers, when these networks go to mainnet,
have a lot of tokens, we can have those asset managers stake with us
and they can earn yield on their stake on our validator. The second sort of
circle, so moving from left to right, is what we call our node API product. So this is once you've
got like a blockchain network to devnet or testnet and then mainnet, you want developers to connect
into it. So you need to offer API or RPC remote procedure call services
so that people can get, connect into the network,
to read data, to send transactions
in a reliable, low latency way.
So that's our sort of Node API product.
Then as we move to like our third circle,
once you've got your network up and running,
you're on mainnet net now you've got real
traffic real users you want to get insights into what's happening in various applications on the
chain because having to do all these api calls and store all the data yourself like that could
be a pain so you want insight as quickly as possible we're all moving to a world where we use Claude or we use ChatGPT. We ask questions
in natural language. A bunch of data is processed behind the scenes and a few seconds later we get
an answer. Sometimes that answer is you know slightly incorrect or it hallucinates but we get
a much quicker answer than we would if we had to do all the work ourselves. So that's sort of our
data and AI component. So I'll sort of break down each of those three circles a bit more so on the staking
side we run validators high performance validators and we provide non-custodial staking across a
whole bunch of blockchains and leading protocols. We do automated rewards management and splitting. So if you're an
asset manager with a lot of a certain token, you delegate to us and we'll handle all of the
rewards. So you earn your yield, we take a commission, and everyone is able to benefit.
We have over a billion dollars, US dollars, in assets under management. So that's people that stake with us on various blockchains.
And our target customers for staking are usually asset managers, custodians, family offices, people that hold lots of crypto.
Code API, so this is for anyone in the Web3 ecosystem,
whether you're an individual developer
or you run a big wallet on a certain chain
to connect into the various blockchains.
So you can sign up on our website, our credit card,
and you can read and write data on these chains.
And then lastly, our data and API product,
that's really for both foundations, but also big
apps on certain chains to get insight about what's going on in their ecosystem. So their ecosystem
gets sort of benefit to learn what's going on. And I'll give more examples on this. And the
foundations themselves has more ways for people to learn about data
rather than having to make all of these API calls,
which can require a bunch of technical knowledge
and money to spin up infrastructure.
So that's a little bit about our sort of three products.
And I'll pause there and hand it back over to you, Jean.
Wow, yeah, I think that's really pretty insightful
and love to hear how diverse offerings
and how you're providing solutions across the broad
from staking to AI powered,
which is pretty in the data services.
And also it's awesome to see how Validation Cloud
are continuously pushing the envelope to meet the needs
for both individuals and also as you talked about
So let's talk about something really exciting,
your collaboration with Shintu Chen.
So how has this partnership helped both of us, both parties,
especially in terms of blockchain infrastructure and services?
I'm sure our audience is curious to know how this is going to shift in the game.
So we run a mainnet validator on Shentu Chain. So what that means is we're participating in making sure there's consensus and the blocks on the chain are moving forward.
You want to decentralize that process generally if you're a blockchain. You don't just want
one company or person or operator having one machine. So we're glad to join the set of Shentu validators.
And now I believe we're a top 10 validator by voting power.
So what can you expect from that?
We will run a high performance validator that does its job attesting and making sure the chain moves forward in participation with the rest of the
network. And you don't have to take my word for it. We are on rated network for Ethereum and Solana,
and we're one of the top rated validators in those ecosystems. So when we come into an ecosystem,
we like to be the best. And that obviously helps the whole blockchain move forward and have reliable consensus.
Yeah, sounds amazing. So I think that's really a game changing stuff right here. And I think sounds like our partnership is really pushing the boundaries for
both Validation Cloud and us for Shintu Chen. So it's definitely a win-win for us.
Yeah. So now let's move on to the next one. So Aaron, can you please share us more about
Validation Cloud's strategy the plans for the future?
Are there like any exciting developments or plans to expand into, you know, like new services or markets that you want to share more about that?
So if you remember my sort of three circles analogy, so staking and consensus, then node API connectivity,
and then the final circle being data and AI.
So we're really focused on that final circle at the moment.
So what that means is we're working with various blockchains
and the apps on them so that we can have natural language
question and answer to get insight so if you imagine the
internet before search you probably just if you're around back then you wrote down websites that you
remembered or maybe use your bookmarks but it was difficult to find out what was going on like you
had to know about which website to go look at or someone needed to tell you. Web3 is kind of in a similar position.
You've got all of this data on all of these chains happening all the time.
But to understand any of it and to crunch through that data,
you need to spend hours kind of making API requests
or clicking through sites, trying to piece things together.
So one of the things we're doing at the moment
is we're working with a few different apps so one of them is
a decentralized exchange and rather than clicking through their site and
thinking you know what are the highest volume swaps on this decentralized
exchange right now I could just ask in a chat gpt like manner what are the top 10 most popular swaps
right now and you know a few seconds later that will crunch through the data and i'll just get
my result they are um this one this one this one this one so we're moving in that direction because
if we're going to bring more users onto web 3 and we want to provide institutions and those apps with more insight so they can work
out where they should focus and how they might grow, then we need to have a better way of
serving people up data. So that's what we're really focused on. We continue to nudge forward
on both staking and Node API. So on staking, for example, for Cosmos based chains,
we're able to have reporting in our user interface
so that if you delegate to a certain chain like Shentu
or DYDX or others that are Cosmos based,
you will be able to paste in your wallet
and you'll see a rewards breakdown.
So we haven't got that yet for Shentu because we just joined,
but that would be part of the plan to have that
for larger institutions that want to stake on Shentu.
They'll be able to come to Validation Cloud
and see a rewards breakdown on the chain.
So that's a little bit about data and AI
and a little bit about staking.
And then with our Node API products,
we continue to sort of add more chains
and strive for lower and lower latency.
So there's work going on to push the boundaries
on all of the things we do.
But at the moment, data and AI is a real focus.
And we're going to be talking more about that
and making things available for users and institutions over the coming weeks and months.
I think it's pretty inspiring because you guys take the product itself first at the very first place,
because that's what really user need is really impressive.
That's what's really user need.
So, and I think Shen Tuchin is super excited
for our, you know, later cooperation as well
for, you know, more of the supportive.
Last question for you, Aaron.
So, our audience has been staying here for so long
and thank you, all the audience.
So, I think they are wondering like which channels, uh, can they, uh, stay updated of, uh, validation clouds, latest news and developments.
Are you able to share that?
So we're in all the usual places.
So on X, uh, validation cloudation Cloud. That's our handle.
Similarly, on LinkedIn, we're Validation Cloud and we post updates.
If you want to come and sign up to our products and have a poke around on what we have for staking and what we have for our Node API, you can go to validationcloud.io, which is our website.
You can sign up with that credit card and have a look
what i would say is not everything in our public products is everything we support so if there's
something you're curious about then you can you can definitely speak to us because we're probably
running it even if we're not showing we're running it and lastly one of the newest things for us, we're also on YouTube and our handles Validation Cloud.
We run two podcasts, one called High Stakes with our co-founder, Alex Nalaka.
That focuses on institutional adoption in Web3 and kind of demystifying some of the terms.
You get to meet founders or people like Arthurthur hayes people that have been in the space
for a long time so they're always good conversations to uh to watch and then we're just starting
another podcast um which i'll promote because i'm going to host it called around the block
and that is talking with more of a developer focus so talking with engineers and product people
in the web3 space about what they're building
and getting demos and seeing things live so that that's coming up too and that'll be featured on
youtube so yeah got the whole uh gamut covered and there's a few things uh you can check out
if you want to yeah thanks for sharing i think you guys really really got the multi-channel thing. And especially for the
YouTube channel, I think guys just feel free to tune in for their more innovative content.
So thanks a lot for sharing, Aaron. And I think, all right, family. So that's all for today's AMA.
I want to say a huge shout out to Aaron from Validation Cloud for
joining us today. And your insights were absolutely fire. You gave us a lot of, you know,
informative stuff and also from the product perspective. So also a big thank you to Felicia,
our team member from Shintu Chen, for being here and
sharing a lot of future plans of Shintu Chen with us today.
So for all the guys, I hope all of you got some valuable takeaways from today's session.
Although we were pretty hard to start it at the very beginning, but I think all of you
got some really insightful information right now.
And it's always awesome to get behind the scene to look at how these partnerships and innovations are shaping the future of Web3.
So make sure to stay tuned for more exciting updates for both Validation Cloud and Shenzhou Chen.
We will make sure to post more in the near future.
So yeah, thanks again, everyone, for tuning in.
We appreciate you all, and we'll catch you in the next one.
So feel free to share the newest link on our Twitter
to your friends or your community.
So you will also see a recap
and probably later on some
content on our blog so yeah thank you everyone i hope you guys have a great day
see you soon yes thank you so much thanks jane thanks melissa bye-bye bye-bye okay thank you
And also for you guys, if you want to ask anything, just feel free to comment in this
area and we will come back to you soon.
