Music Thank you. Music Thank you. Music Thank you. Hey guys, hey girls, good evening everybody. So I won't keep you in suspense any longer.
Obviously we just had a minor technical issue thanks to my internet. Remote life has its
downfalls. Sometimes Wi-Fi can be unreliable,
so I apologize about that.
But only 10 minutes have elapsed.
Hopefully we haven't lost too many of you.
We'll just kick straight off, hop into the action.
We've got a jam-packed space tonight, which is fantastic.
We've got a bunch of teams, a bunch of new teams,
some old returning teams, some new protocols joining us.
vchain slash vbetter uh update series and a lot of awesome people to introduce meet and share all
about what they're up to so very very cool i will hop straight into the meat of the sandwich uh and
yeah let's uh let's do a round of intros. So I'll start with my right.
I don't know what everyone else can see, but we'll just do a quick blast around the room
and then we'll hop into things.
I'll give you a quick overview and then, yeah, we'll get down to business.
So first of all, the SolarWise.
You are my first speaker.
Yeah, thank you so much for organizing this space.
And I think this week was a very
difficult week for x we've been experiencing also a lot of bugs so you know don't worry about the
little delay oh no and you know i'm very excited for the space you know to hear about some of the
new projects all the ones and everything around it and we also have quite some juicy news to drop so I think it's going to be
a good one. Ooh, how exciting
how exciting, I look forward to that, we'll have a bit
next up, let's hand it over to
sorry, I'm going to absolutely butcher
how do I say your name, I'm sorry
well, that's not the best
effort I ever heard, but not the worst either.
So you can just call me Tam, Tamagen, but everyone calls me Tam.
It's simpler. I'm CEO of Wanchain.
This is our first time probably really interacting directly with the VeChain community.
So we're excited about that.
We just had an announcement with VeChain,
which I'm sure we'll get into in a little bit,
but great to be here, and thanks for organizing.
Yeah, thank you very much for joining.
Obviously, I'm sure everyone's seen recently on social.
It's performed very, very well,
so obviously lots of excited folks,
but we're welcoming our first ever bridge partner,
which is OneChain, and Tem and the team
are going to be delivering some very cool stuff,
so very excited about that. Big Bottle, you're next up on the roster. Who have we got on the mic? which is OneChain and Tem and the team are going to be delivering some very cool stuff.
So very excited about that.
BigBottle, you're next up on the roster.
Who have we got on the mic?
And say hello to the room.
I'm Jason from BigBottle.
So we're a new project in the ecosystem.
And yeah, very excited to be here and introduce the project.
And I see we just got Gruncard.
Nice one. Welcome, welcome. Actually, you just jumped up the list somehow. So you're my next speaker. Gruncard, introduce yourself. Who have we got on the mic? Hi, thanks, everybody. It's a
pleasure to be here. Actually, we had already one space. It was all focused on us when I was speaking, but it was cool.
Anyway, we just went, let's say, public with an integration with the green card.
But actually, we're going to be public with our DAP in a few weeks.
So we are happy to share our news, our vision.
Yeah, we'll dive into what you're doing in a little bit. I've seen some stuff. It looks very cool. Hang and Dry, you're next on my list.
Hi, everyone. I'm Sanna. I'm the social media manager of Hang and Dry.
And next to me is Jesse. He's the co-founder of Hang and Dry.
Hi. Nice to meet everyone. And thanks, Jake, for hosting this. And we are two weeks live on Mainnet, so we are almost the newest one on the FreeBetterDOW, I think. Thank you.
Amazing. Love it. Can't wait to hear more. Next up, Meetermate. Meetermate, how are you?
Hi, Jake. Good evening, everyone. This is Rishi from MetaMate. Surprisingly, we are
not new. We are three months old in the WeChain system, but this is our first time to be on
Space. Happy to answer any questions or feature plans or anything else anybody wants to know.
So already three years old in crypto years.
Two months on the VBETDAO, but in crypto space, yeah, maybe.
So Bianca, I mean, I don't want to skip.
This is Bianca from Howbottle. We are a sustainable lifestyle brand.
We are new here, we are new to the community and I would love to share what we do and do some exciting announcements later.
Amazing. Great to have you. And then, last but not least, otherianca bianca mueller good evening hi jake oh my
god this is the funniest thing ever we have two biancas in the space i love it hi other bianca
well of course good evening to everybody else and jake thank you for hosting the space like
can't wait it's gonna be a great one of course of course yeah you guys have a lot
to share so i will open up to you shortly actually you're going to lead uh lead things here but
yeah first of all just wanted to give a shout out so um obviously we're meeting v better apps
builders today you know infrastructure v better uh teams building great stuff and we've just
launched a new grants program today so i just want to flag that for everyone's attention. We've actually got that pinned now at the top of the VChain official page.
You know, if you're interested and inspired by the stories and the projects that are about to follow, you know, get involved, apply for a grant. It's a new, more decentralized model. So it's, you know, much more Web3 themed, like people will actually be able to vote on who they believe are the worthy recipients
of grant funding as well.
So more streamlined, nicer process.
Anyone who's dealt with it previously,
I think will note there's been a great kind of improvement
So, you know, shout out to the grants team
that have been working hard.
And we've got a guest commentator.
So Paulie's just put his hand up.
I'm going to leave him dangling for impromptu comments as we go.
Hope you're doing well, mate.
Congrats on the 12-hour space.
That was quite the achievement.
Well, first and foremost, thanks for having us.
Thank you for joining the Start the Space.
It was awesome to have an hour to talk to you.
And a bunch of people actually have a space now.
So we got to talk to Ronnie with SolarWise.
Still waiting to get to talk to Bianca on vibing.
But, hey, I mean, we'll get there.
But, no, it was a lot of fun.
We got to talk to a lot of great people in the ecosystem.
Looking forward to talking even more in the future.
But for now, i'm really excited to
hear about all the things we got to listen to today and get to meet to get to meet launching
it's going to be interesting looking forward to it yes sir yes sir well you get two biancas so
you're a lucky man today you got double double the bianca ridge um okay well solo wise we'll kick
it off with you guys tonight i know you've been absolutely crushing it. I saw even just today, you know, featuring a trade magazine, like awesome work.
For anyone who's unfamiliar with you, maybe you'd like to give a brief intro.
You know, how does your app work?
So just to get people a bit better understanding, my name is Ronnie.
I'm the CEO and founder of SolarWise.
And we've been now in the Be Better DAO for, I think, since October.
So it's been quite a little bit in VeChain, I mean in crypto months or years.
And what we do is we tokenize solar panels in solar farms.
So you have to imagine that if you own a solar NFT,
you own a real world asset on our farms, So you have to imagine that if you own a solar NFT, you own a real world
asset on our farms, which produces electricity, but also pays out weekly better rewards from
the VBetterDAO. And one of the problems to understand a bit better why we started this
project is some of the problems that we were seeing in the market regarding solar
solar panel investments or all of this was there is a very high barrier of entry for businesses
or private investors because constructing farms on roofs or on greenfields can be very expensive
and also not only this but it also fixes your investment for quite some time.
And that's exactly where we kind of came in
we should really consider of tokenizing solar panels
and be able to offer them individually in a farm
for anybody to access them all over the world
which means that we are now democratizing the access,
but also giving users the flexibility to hold them,
but also to sell them again if they ever want to.
And that also brings us to our main vision that we want to become one of the main solar panel tokenizers in the world.
And I think so far we have already started with a very solid foundation and also build up on this.
And which is really, really great because our main focus is also in the refi space where we try to fully align with the values.
So everything that our farms produce, everything that happens is tracked on chain
so it really is every month you know it depends also how much sun or anything that happens
everything is tracked and of course the sustainability part of it it's it's real
energy that we produce and sell to customers our first two farms were constructed built in Brazil same as the next two ones that
we're going to get into a bit later and all of them are going to come with real climate
impact for the next 20 years which is really great and also like I do want to mention a couple
of milestones that we have already achieved because it's been quite an incredible journey with ups and downs.
But now to be able to say that by the end of the sale, we'll be able to or we have already tokenized over 784 solar panels throughout four different solar farms.
I mean, the size of those farms, it's really interesting how mean the size of those farms it's really interesting
how much electricity they can produce
I mean they can produce on average
actually already in this short period
of time we've already saved around
seven tons of co2 or avoided as they say that's awesome i was just trying to pin your post and
forgive me for being an absolute granddad with with x but it's not in the share the share function
what else going on but i mean i love you guys you know you're obviously merging rwa in this very literal way like you've got real world assets actual real world assets combining
kind of nft tech refi i think it's a really cool um pioneering project and uh yeah i'm glad to see
you guys obviously doing very well i mean i believe you have some milestones and updates to share about imminent growth, if I'm not mistaken.
So I'm going to cover that, guys.
Again, as you heard before, I'm Bianca, but I'm Bianca from SolarWise.
I'm the co-founder there.
And yeah, so some of you might know our Sun Ticket or whitelist sale is going to start tomorrow for farm three and four.
The construction of them has been completed two weeks ago.
One of them was two weeks ago.
The other one was last week.
As Ronnie shared already some stats, we have for only farm three and four, we have a combined output of 28,000 kilowatt hours per month, which is great.
combined output of 28,000 kWh per month, which is great.
And well, just to give you a quick overview about the solar panels, we only use tier one
panels, which are tier one panels according to the Bloomberg list, which just means they
have longer warranties and just have a better output and just are the best you can get,
basically. output and just are the best you can get basically and also i mean as you know we're a swiss company
we obtained last year from the finmine switzerland which is the sec in switzerland we've obtained a
no action letter and we also had to register under an sro which gives us and also our users quite a bit of security because we're being audited annually.
And it's also quite a bit of, how should I say, stuff we need to fulfill
under Swiss law or also under the SRO or the FINMA regulations
that we can operate, which is good for us.
It makes us quite a safe crypto project i would say and um yeah it also
for some of you which might think um there are they pre-financing are you financing also part
of our no action letter and the rules and regulations we're following under the swiss
law is that we have to pre-finance everything we are not allowed to sell any one panel before farms are fully constructed which also gives the user quite a bit of safety
of course um that brings me to the next uh topic the sun tickets as well because tomorrow we are
having the whitelist sale which means the whitelist sale starts 24 hours before the public sale.
And since we had for farm two in January, I think we had such incredible demand.
We kind of cracked the website, I think for half an hour, I didn't know that we were sold out because I couldn't enter it anymore.
So we kind of looked for a way around it.
So we had, we brought out the sun tickets which just guarantees you
a spot for 24 hours to buy a solar nft because last time like we listened to the feedback it
was very stressful not everybody could get one and so we did that and yeah it kind of removes
the first come first serve pressure because yeah last time i don't know who was there of you but it was a bit
of an intense half an hour but yeah so that's that amazing and connor put his hand up at a very uh
specific junction now so i don't know whether he had a comment around this particular oh no no i'm
here to support solar wise for when they continue talk, because they're doing some crazy shit that no one's really prepared for.
Can we hear said expletive, or is that for private eyes only for now?
Well, this actually does come to very likely one of your next questions.
I mean, if you want to, can already go go and cover the this aspect
and the next part that I did wanted to cover was about our future vision and
this is something that you know as most people know you know constructing the
the base is always the hardest but after this building on top of this is always
much easier and for us we are very happy
that we took our time we took everything step by step even if sometimes there were smaller steps
sometimes bigger steps to make sure we're taking the right steps in the growth and now we're getting
to this point where we are now also expanding our solar farms finally also into other countries. And this is also one thing where I do also need to do a quick shout out to Conor,
where he's helping us out with Atlantis Capital,
where we're now already entering that market in Germany.
And we are working on a partnership with a very big German solar construction company
and are very likely then going to do our first
solar farm tokenization in the next couple of months which is going to be in germany
so this is something we're very very excited about because so far we have had our first
four farms have been in brazil which is brazil is great It has all many different kinds of advantages.
But also, you know, for us,
we wanted to always expand into another continent.
You know, our vision is to be worldwide.
But of course, we need to do this step by step.
And as we are a Swiss-based company, which speaks German,
that we are now working closer in the German market.
And also it does come with also many benefits to have also solar panels that
produce in Germany with Euro.
And that's something really, really nice to be able because we actually just
pretty much moved forward with this very recently.
And this is actually not the only thing i wanted to announce
or uh did you want to say something jake no nothing nothing oh jake don't worry we'll go
down that route yeah and one other thing is something that we have been working on for
quite a while and finally we're able to say something a bit more detail.
And as most of you know, in order to be able to use our debt
and access our products, you need to own and buy a solar panel or solar NFT.
And we are now getting to this point where we can say that we are
in the works of opening up the access to use our debt
for anybody that has solar panels at home and does not need to buy a solar nft to generate to earn
over solar wise and this is something i'm very very excited about because we have been had some
difficulties in the scaling,
which we are working very well on
regarding getting on more solar farms.
But it's definitely a very interesting part to tap into,
to access many users worldwide.
I mean, if we look at Europe, Germany,
how many homes have solar panels on their roofs
and they'll be able to connect with
us and generate to earn over vechain i mean that's going to be very interesting yeah that's super
cool i mean my i'm my house is powered by solar most of the year so i mean that's music to my ears
obviously the german market very renowned for uh its solar uptake. I mean, I've seen like solar balconies and, you know,
they're literally like draping panels wherever they can get them.
So, I mean, that's a really cool expansion direction, I think, makes perfect sense.
So, congrats, man. That's awesome.
Ronnie, Bianca, anything you guys can share about the entity?
Because I think it's very exciting about what you're doing. And I want to make sure the ecosystem kind of understands the weight of this new partnership and this real world validation.
your business if it's executed on well with fucking rocket fuel.
And so is there anything you guys can share about, you know,
the types of farms that this entity, you know,
spins up that you're looking to work with?
I'm going to go into a bit of detail, but just not too much,
because we'll start off on a smaller scale and then we'll go into a bigger scale
like i think ronnie said it quite well it's one of it's a very very big solar uh construction
company in germany so that not only means that we can partner with them for solar farms that are
that size we have at the moment but they're tenfold so that is that's a big step for us
obviously that is in the process this is not something we will do tomorrow but a partnership
like this obviously in the future is going to be is going to be very good for us and for
solar wise in the german market and obviously this is something we want to take then to multiple
countries and yeah so we're working on that guys they convinced a real web 2 fundraising entity
to tokenize their fucking shit on vchain so cool like unbelievable unbelievable and i'm telling you
that you are seeing the tip of the iceberg right now.
I'll let them share the news as they continue to execute.
But all this team just unlocked a lever that is going to change their business over the course of 12 months.
And it's going to be so damn exciting.
Amazing. Well, you got caught the hype. That is always a good sign as well.
Our team was running around celebrating this morning when we heard the news.
Well, excellent work, Solarize team.
I mean, yeah, that's an amazing achievement.
I think, you know, adoption is clearly picking up pace globally.
I mean, it's been interesting to give a snippet
of the V-Chain side of things.
You know, we've been talking to a lot of institutions
and obviously we've got Renaissance coming out.
We've got this new Valator um model being rolled out and we we're seeing a
lot of interest as well with that which is which is really cool there'll definitely be announcements
and media to follow at the suitable junction of course but um yeah it's a really exciting time to
be a web3 company because the entire world is looking
to this as the evolution of the business
congrats, SolarWise team. That's very,
very cool. Do you have any
calls to action before, you know,
your segment? Obviously, that was a very
dense, news-dense segment.
What's your key, like, call to action
for the community in the coming days?
Now, you've got the sale coming up.
How do people see it, find it, if they're interested in taking part?
Yeah, so we have the sale for Form 3 and 4 coming tomorrow
at 1 o'clock Central European Summertime.
And it's the whitelist sale.
So it means if you have a sunicket, this is the sale for you.
This is the 24 hours opening up for you where you need to get your Solar NFT.
Because remember the Sun Ticket, it only lasts you for 24 hours.
If you don't get your Solar NFT, the Solar NFT will go into the public sale.
So for today and tomorrow, people can still get Sun Tickets.
You can get them like on our Dapp.
And the public sale is 24 hours later.
So it's Friday at one o'clock Central European summertime.
And yeah, just to all Sun Ticket holders, please make sure to buy it within the 24
hours because it's just a shame if you don't get one. Just to all Sun Ticket holders, please make sure to buy it within the 24 hours
because it's just a shame if you don't get one.
Amazing. Well, you heard it, guys.
Bookmark the time and date and be ready for tomorrow.
It's going to pop off on the next Farms for Star Wars.
Thank you, guys, for joining and giving us lots of juicy
juicy info so it's amazing to hear team updates. I'm going to move around the hall
next up we've got Tem I'm going to keep that shorthand from now on so we've got Tem of
one chain so it's a very interesting update here now vChain obviously we're evm with a few steps and uh thus far we haven't you know
we haven't necessarily been as interoperable as we maybe could have been so thankfully we now are
welcoming uh the one chain team who are integrating a bridge uh to vchain so temp that's amazing as
music to many people's ears super highly engaged post i was actually really uh impressed by how
engaged it was obviously speaks volumes to how excited people are um maybe you can just give
us a high level on what one chain is for anyone that's unfamiliar sure thanks uh thanks jake i'd
be happy to and yeah probably wise to stick to tan um yeah you know i actually also saw how well that
post performed so it was uh nice to see as well.
You know, I think our own community, meaning the WeChain community was also very excited
to see VeChain announced.
You know, both VeChain and WeChain are relatively established projects.
And so over the years, you know, we have gotten requests from VeChain that for us to bridge
to VeChain, you know, from time to time.
So it was nice to finally kind of take those steps.
But for those of us or those in the crowd who might not be as familiar with Wanchain,
we are a R&D focused blockchain interoperability project.
Pretty old by crypto standards.
by crypto standards we've been around officially since 2017. We're actually the creator of the
We've been around officially since 2017.
industry's first decentralized cross-chain bridge. So our first mainnet bridge went live all the way
back in 2018. It's kind of fun to look back at how different interoperability was back then than it
is now. You know, we were so, it was such a big achievement to launch that first bridge back in 2018.
And, you know, now we support 40 plus different chains, both EVM and non-EVM networks.
So the whole thing is really just kind of expanded.
But while interoperability itself, I would say, has changed over the years, our vision
for it hasn't really, you know, we kind of
definitely believe in a future where the whole world's running on this unified decentralized
network of blockchains. We put a lot of emphasis on industry-wide interoperability standards and
specifications. You know, this is really for both usability, decentralization and security reasons.
really for both usability, decentralization and security reasons.
And I'll get into the specifics of the VeChain bridge in just a second, but Auenchain plays
a few other roles in the blockchain industry that are probably worth noting for those who
are just getting familiar with us on this call.
So in addition to just being a interoperability project ourselves, we're also the chair of
the interoperability work group at the
Enterprise Ethereum Alliance. And we also actually just publicly revealed today a new interoperability
project in the Linux Foundation. It's called SMOOT. So we are the maintainers of this. And this,
again, is a standards compliant interoperability framework. Wanchain itself, we have our own ecosystem.
We have several projects.
They're all interoperability.
They all have an interoperability twist.
So we have the Wanchain bridge.
This is our standard token bridge, and this is what we have deployed to VeChain or are deploying to VeChain.
We also have Xflows, which is a cross-chain swap.
Xport, which is a data transfer protocol.
Some of you who are kind of into interoperability
might know this as a message passing protocol.
And then we also have Xstake,
which is our staking protocol.
But I think probably today we'll talk more
about the Wanchain bridge itself,
since that was the kind of key component
of the partnership announcement that we had with Feedchain just a few days ago. Yes sir I mean to
foreshadow we will have a more in-depth space with the Wanchain team over on so fear you not
we'll have a proper deep dive obviously before the bridge itself goes live so we've announced it now
you know we're planning some more media just to kind of intro the concept because for some people it might not
be familiar um and yeah and then we'll have a proper like deep dive into the protocol the pros
and cons how's it going to work what's it going to look like what the benefits advantages etc
because you know there's a lot of there's a lot of benefits that come from opening up to other
blockchains i mean on that on that term, maybe I could,
maybe you could just give us a high level on what you think the advantages are
of having a bridge. You know, we could keep it high level for the, for everyone.
Yeah. I think that's a, that's a good way to approach it,
not get too deep into the technicals and all of that.
We can get that into a dedicated space or whatever later. But basically what this bridge will allow you to do
is to bring tokens and liquidity from other chains into VeChain. And if there's a need from the VeChain
projects to allow their dApps to expand to other chains as well and kind of attract that audience.
On day one, you know, we're really focusing
on some of the big industry hitters.
So when the bridge officially launches,
you'll be able to, of course, bring in
your blue chip stable coins.
We'll let you bring those into V chain
from a variety of different chains.
Also, Bitcoin directly from Bitcoin
will also have some bridges to Solana,
And so really this is the kind of slate
that will be there on day one.
But as I mentioned kind of in my intro,
Quentain supports 40 plus different networks.
So once the VeChain bridge goes live,
it's technically interoperable with
all 40 of these chains. And so it makes it a much smaller or more manageable engineering lift to add
kind of more tokens and more chains, you know, over time, you won't have to be kind of starting
from scratch, we have the base infrastructure in place. And then to oversimplify, it's almost kind
of flipping switches to allow
which assets from which chains to flow to and from VeChain.
Super cool, super cool. I'm sure everyone will be very excited to see USDT slash USDC wrapped
arriving on VeChain alongside the other assets. I mean our DeFi ecosystem is you know these things
will massively boost the kind of potential and
opportunities here. I mean, we get a lot of outreach from DeFi protocols and it's like the
chicken and the egg, you know, if you don't, you need this major liquidity potential through these
like very established stable coins and, you know, it's, so it's solving a big challenge. So it's
very exciting, very exciting. I mean, maybe you could give some
examples of other ecosystems, how you've seen it benefit them just to contextualize it for people.
Yeah, you know, especially for a DeFi ecosystem to take off, there's a few prerequisites.
One is you need stable coins. So the one-chain bridge will be able to solve that with USET and USDC.
You also basically, you also usually will need some representation of Bitcoin value because, you know, Bitcoin is kind of the unifying force throughout the industry. Everyone has
their favorite chain, but everyone has Bitcoin and their favorite chain, you know, speaking broadly.
So having that bridge from Bitcoin to VeChain will also kind of be one of these core pillars that you will need to kind of really develop a vibrant DeFi ecosystem.
Now, because OneChain decided early on that we really want to focus not only on EVMs, but on non-EVMs as well.
And I know you mentioned VeChain is kind of EVM with a few extra steps.
So we'll just bucket it right now with the non-EVMs.
So we'll just bucket it right now with the non-EDMs.
We've seen a lot of success in a few of these other types of chains,
which don't have an abundance of bridges already.
Most recently, we built bridges to Cardano,
and those ones have really taken off.
It's a similar kind of rollout that we're planning with VeChain,
meaning that we're starting with these blue chip stablecoins,
And in about a year on Cardano, we've seen just about $75 million worth of cross-chain
So that was a really good start.
And most of that is centered probably around the stablecoins.
But part of that might also just be kind of we're sort of in a bear market. So people like to hold stables during that time. But
I expect something similar to happen with VeChain. We're starting to discuss and reach out to
different applications on VeChain, whether they're swaps or wallets, these kind of touch points for
for users who are trying to engage with DeFi. So hopefully the rollout will go well.
And definitely from OneChain's perspective,
we're not treating it as just kind of a one-off announcement.
Hopefully that will become clear
as we continue to engage with the VeChain community,
join these types of spaces,
talk to the different projects,
and even hang out in the different project communities
on Telegram, on Discord, do our best to explain the bridge and try to build up that kind of support
for these assets, because it really kind of helps everyone when you can have, you know, really
established chain like VeChain kind of become more connected with the rest of the industry.
These types of silos, you know, really don't,'t doesn't help anyone so this is really what
we're working with the vchain foundation and hopefully with as many of the builders on this
call and throughout the rest of the vchain ecosystem to kind of solve that problem absolutely
i mean we've got quite unique blend because obviously we've got the enterprise background
i mean i i was talking to the toolchain team earlier, and I know there's some new use cases coming there.
Like, this kind of interoperability is quite an interesting avenue in terms of opening up, like, potential, you know, functionality across chains.
And obviously, for VBetter itself, we already kind of have this DeFi-esque element to it.
So obviously, this kind of expands the potential pool of tools and opportunities and obviously how we can work with other chains, with apps on other chains, et cetera, et cetera.
So, you know, anyone who's familiar with the V-Chain Renaissance at the moment, this is obviously part of that critical developmental strategy we're deploying right now, which is basically around interoperability, opening up the chain.
It's a very important thing.
Like you touched on earlier, Tim,
yeah, interoperability is the name of the game.
Like, blockchains in silos,
given all the adoption that's going on,
like, no blockchain can afford to be an island ultimately.
once we've got the JSON-RPC integration finalized,
which is part of our current roadmap,
you'd even have less buttons to flip.
So that's going to be a big part
of our future armory as well.
Amazing stuff, amazing stuff.
Appreciate you joining, Tam.
and it's the late that you are.
towards the end of June a release we're planning to.
I don't want to put words in the tech team's mouth
because obviously tech doesn't like timelines.
But yeah, just wondering if you had any kind of closing advice
or messages for the community.
And obviously foreshadowing,
we are going to have a really nice deep dive, everybody.
So, you know, you can expect to hear more from the Wanchain team
and how this is all going to play out.
I think, you know, we'll finalize the official launch date,
but I think what you said is a reasonable expectation
The bridge itself, in fact, is already tech ready.
One thing about Wenching, you know, I mentioned
we launched in 2017. In all that time, we've never suffered any type of hack or security incident.
And that's something we're very proud of.
We take security extremely seriously.
So we're finishing up, just wrapping up now some third-party audits of the bridge to make sure, you know, we have maximum confidence in the security of the bridge.
A bridge is super powerful for kind of supercharging a DeFi ecosystem and connecting a blockchain to the rest of the industry.
But a hacked bridge doesn't do anyone any good.
So we're taking all the kind of steps that we need to take
to have a maximum confidence in security of the bridge.
I would personally say our track record is a big part of that as well. Like I said, seven plus years without any type of incident, but
we're not getting complacent. So we have fresh audits going for the V-chain deployment specifically.
And then I would invite everyone to join kind of the dedicated spaces or kind of get-togethers
that we'll organize where you can really kind of dive deep
with us ask technical questions more specifics about how the bridge itself works i'm confident
in saying that you know our the decentralization of our bridge stacks up very well with any other
bridge builder out there in the space so i invite all of you to come and kind of learn about how all that works
um you know bridges from a high level okay they all kind of look the same
um but behind the scenes um there's there's a lot of differences so i'm looking forward to being able
to kind of really nerd out um about interoperability and bridges with all of you and hopefully
um you know answer all of your questions love that yeah when i spoke with andre that was uh
something that we both kind of laughed around we kind of arose at similar times as projects and
the whole you know 100 uptime this these kind of narrative arcs that do resonate a lot within this
industry we both share so that's that's really great to see i don't know if you wanted to flash
any stats i know you guys are also doing quite high volumes obviously as a little final um outro i don't know if you
wanted to share you know total value kind of transferred or anything like that just some
high level numbers people always enjoy data yeah yeah definitely people like numbers and they like
numbers that go up so um we've had 100% uptime
since launch. It's been more than seven years. And we've secured just about, well, in this
current iteration of the bridge, just about $2 billion in cross-chain volume. And that's
growing relatively quickly. And despite the so-called bear market that's been going on for the last,
wow, like three plus years, our kind of daily bridging volumes, monthly volumes,
these type of stats are all kind of operating near all-time highs for us. So things are going very
well with the bridge. As I mentioned, 40 plus different chains that are supported right now.
as I mentioned, 40 plus different chains
that are supported right now.
And so to reemphasize, once we turn on
or publicly launch the VeChain integration,
basically all the assets in all of these chains
will be available to the VeChain community.
I don't know if a Paulie wants to ask a question
at this point, I know he's eager to meet you guys
the other day, but you couldn't make it,
you were indisposed. I don't want to put you on the spot paulie but
now is your opportunity if you if you want to ask any questions yeah you know i don't know if i have
any specific question now because you know after hearing the combo i i kind of have some i definitely
have but i'm looking i'm looking forward to have them more as we dive deeper in later spaces with these guys.
I just wanted to say, you know, as a community member, you know, over the years, we've been having these conversations about interoperability and the challenges that VeChain, you know, had with kind of bridging that gap, right, and connect other chain. And I just wanted to tell you,
to learn more about blockchain
and learning about things.
And I read up a bit on you guys
and some of the things I'm seeing, I'm really intrigued to learn more about, you know.
So, you know, I think it'd be good to leave some of these conversations for when we can really dig deep.
Because that's where the fun comes.
But I really appreciate the fact that you guys came out.
this part you know we got a lot of cool new things coming to v chain and you guys are one of the
parts i think all of us are really excited about so looking forward to learn more in the coming
weeks and to see this thing uh take launch end of june that's all right
Yeah, like we said, we have some things planned with V-Chain Foundation.
We'll go into a lot more detail.
But Polly, I think you're probably talking to our marketing manager right now.
I know someone mentioned earlier that Twitter was having a bit of a fit this week.
So at some point, DMs broke and all this type of stuff
but definitely i'm keen to um kind of do something with you directly and then you know you can ask
all these type of questions on a dedicated uh space so that would all be uh that'll be super
tim tim with our luck man literally as i was trying to talk with your guys uh x had the fire in their
server room and messages were down for like a day.
I'm like, you've got to be shitting me. Go figure. But no, I think it's going to work
out great. We'll find a way to get everyone together in a nice dedicated space and really
all come to understand what we can expect from this because this is something we all
know we need. And it sounds to me like you guys are
a really good fit for it so i'm excited to talk with you guys down the road and
and hear you guys talk more about what you have to offer
boom boom amazing stuff and yeah uh you you mentioned it poorly so i'll just take a chance
to shill because a very important type uh have is obviously VChain Stargate.
So it's not called VChain Stargate, sorry, just called Stargate.
So we're launching a new staking program, 1st of July, key date.
We would have banged the drum on that one.
We're launching an entirely new staking model.
We're seeing Hayabusa, the second stage of V-Chain Renaissance, go into basically being
developed more formally. That's a big piece for us. That's pretty radical changes to the tokenomic
model. So obviously, all these parts interplay. We're improving the tokenomics. We're improving
the staking opportunities. We're improving the economic attractiveness of the ecosystem. We're
building bridges to other networks.
We're creating a more seamless kind of interoperability pathway, all that stuff.
It's all about adoption, growth.
You know, we've got this kind of user-facing app platform.
And, yeah, you know, these are our kind of key strategic objectives now.
So just to shill our own stuff there, you know,
Tem's done a great job shilling ManChain.
Does well take a minute to shill VeChain as well.
But Tim, I appreciate you coming.
I know you're a very busy man, but that was some fantastic snippets.
I'm sure the community really appreciated getting to meet you.
We will be having a more in-depth space with you and some of the other team,
obviously talking more to things we're planning as well,
like incentives and, you know, other bits and and bobs will unveil in due course.
But yeah, thank you so much for your time.
I'll talk to all of you very soon.
So, you know, some very cool, very cool opening segments here.
We're moving on now to our DAP teams, our new DAP teams.
So, you know, we've seen a bunch of new DAPs joining us recently, which is fantastic, of course.
And critically, you know, we need to intro them to the community, get everyone familiar, get everyone pally.
And, yeah, start to meet these awesome teams that are building new apps on VBs at DAO.
So I'm going to go through everyone one by one just to give you your own mini platform,
and then we'll go for the question list. But yeah, no buts. Let's progress. So I'm going to
start with Metermate, because you have been around a little while. It's your first opportunity we've
managed to get you on. So yeah,. How are you doing, Rishi?
Good evening, good evening.
Maybe you can just start with a brief intro about your app and its goals.
And once again, good evening to all of you.
So MeterMate is a sustainability-focused DApp, which is built on WeChat.
This is specializing, specialized only on focused and only for the promotion of the
habits of energy savings.
It empowers individuals to track, gain insights and reduce and reward for their electricity consumption and prevention habits.
Our goal is very simple. We want to encourage responsible energy uses, inspires others to consciously monitor and reduce their household electricity uses.
reduce their household electricity uses.
Also reward eco-friendly habits by giving out
the reward distributions.
All you have to do is register your meter to the app.
If you have, whether you are a postpaid or prepaid connection,
that's only for the registration purpose and it's just one time.
And then you can take a photograph of your physical meter
every day that will have the meter readings and
that the AI we run in the backend tracks the meter readings, and it compares with the meter readings of the previous day.
And based on that readings, it does the calculation and then rewards users based on how much you have saved from previous day
and what's your what was your consumption
yeah we want we three weeks back we launched straight rewards which is a
different kind of reward other than the daily submission reward. Basically, it tracks all the addresses.
If you have used the app from Monday to Sunday,
then next Monday you get rewarded for being consistent.
we have doubled up our users in straight rewards.
So first week we had somewhere around like 200, 250.
And this week we had almost dull off of what we had on the first week.
So with these different kinds of rewards, we have definitely,
we tried to engage more with the community members and we are trying more to be present with them.
Amazing. Nice. Sorry, go on. I didn't mean to interrupt.
Sorry, no, just, you know, I just want to say a couple of more things and then i will hand it over to the next
diaf so uh right now what we are trying to do is uh we're trying to uh engage with uh
with the households who have solar panels so uh imagine someone in uh in brazil and they are using meter mate and they don't have uh you know much
more of the electricity usage so what happens their readings doesn't change so meter mate is designed in such a way that if your meeting reading readings doesn't change you don't get
rewarded because it's based on the consumption so uh they are so basically right now, there is no way for us to integrate with the PV
systems who are either generating electricity from the solar and then either using it by
themselves or even giving it back to the grid. in the coming weeks what we are planning to do
is to integrate with those solar panel owners or the households who are using solar panels
and we would be rewarding them for using it so it's going to be a process backend is going to
take care of that you know all we need is, the users, they need to volunteer that they are using
solar panels and their household electricity is basically the electricity which is generated by
the solar panels. They need to provide us the evidence of using it. Of course, we want it to be
Of course, we want it to be given to the genuine users.
Not everyone uses solar panels, but if we don't ask for the evidence,
everyone can come and say that they are using solar panels.
So it's going to be a manual process, and then we're going to reward them in a different way so that's something in our uh pipeline which we are expecting to uh
to implement in next uh three to five weeks right then uh mid of uh end of june we are we are uh
also launching the uh nfts so we gonna introduce achievement based NFTs. So we have, we already have started working
on it and we are kind of doing some of the trials in our testnet. So a lot of different
components are involved in it, you know, like BORGE and IPFS to mint the NFTs, especially the achievement-based
NFTs. So we are also working on NFTs. That's going to implement, we are planning to implement
it after we introduce rewards for the solar users.
Fantastic. That's a great answer. So specifically, sorry, the sustainability angle here,
is it the reduction of energy or is it the smart monitoring of energy? It's obviously the reduction of the consumption.
So what happens, this is something me which have especially found that even though I don't
necessarily need lights or fans to be on and I just don't do it, I always forget to do it.
So it's the idea, the foundation of
the meter meter is to promote the habits. And the fun way to promote any kind of habit is by taking
small measures and, you know, what other great way when you can earn when you are trying to promote these habits so you know lesser consumption of your
electricity i'm not saying that you need to live in the dark ages but as long as you have means of
natural sunlight or you are you can you can you know just uh not use extra energy as is what we are trying to promote as an habit yeah i mean it's a very
cool concept it's like do the sustainable thing get paid i think the the notion is very um
compelling for a lot of people i mean like my home situation i pretty much use no external
electricity at all you know for eight months of the year so it's great you know
even my my work setup if i'm going to play xbox even that's running off batteries plus solar so
it's is pretty it feels pretty amazing as well you know you do this thing you have an achievement
you can be rewarded for it and also you know if the apocalypse ever does come
then at least i'll still be able to use my oven. But obviously that's a bit dark
for now. No, I didn't mean to detract me to make, sorry. So yeah, maybe you could speak to the
building integration experience. I mean, obviously we've just launched the grants program. So, you
know, appealing to builders at the moment, if folks are interested, we've just launched these
two streams of updated grant program one for builders one for infrastructure developers
maybe you can speak to the the building integration experience like have you had experience in other
blockchains have you found building on vechain like the docs and the resources and all that
stuff maybe just share your thoughts there so yeah i i do have some experience before working for Weechin Foundation.
I did some work on the Solana and Ablanche,
but right now I'm completely focused on Weechin and Weechin Tor.
With the Hayabusa fork and the Stargate,
I think that will give us more compelling ideas,
you know, what all we can do about it. And with regards to the new model of
staking, that's going to be very exciting. I'm definitely looking forward for it.
My experience during building MeterMate, so me and two more of my colleagues, we started this
Four of my colleagues, we started this, building this, it came, you know, this idea was a grooming idea.
We were trying to build a few other apps as well.
And then this came as the winner and we started building it.
Working with VeChain for past three years.
We had only tried to do things which we were asked to.
This was the opportunity where, you know,
kinda I took the lead and then I decided, okay,
We had such a great platform VeChain
where we, VeChain Foundation and, you know,
what, how we can, what we are, we were emphasizing to
others like to our customers or the customer, to the clients that, you know, with the supply
chain management and then moving towards the sustainability, how we can, how we can, you
know, reduce the footprint,
And, uh, I wanted to, uh, I wanted to be the person who not only preach,
but also, uh, also do some actions.
So that's how we started building this.
And, uh, yeah, we had some ups and downs.
We had some tough times because there were technical difficulties.
I don't want to, I'm going to spare the technicalities of my difficulties and the
difficult days, but you know, at last, I think it was very fruitful, not only for me, but
for my other developers as well. Two of us, we built it in three months, I would say.
Yeah, it's kind of a very, it was a very learning experience for me, especially.
Amazing. Yeah, no, very cool. That's a good feedback for everyone here. Maybe you could share a little insights on your kind of future plans before we move on to our next team. And then we've got a question for the community, so I'll give them a moment to ask.
As I said earlier, right now, my next three months or three to four months future plans are to implement reward for solar-based users and then achievement-based NFT launch of the Metermate NFTs.
Amazing. launch of the Metermate NFTs Amazing, well guys make sure you're following
Metermate, sounds like a bunch of you already using the app
follow them, stay tuned, keep using
keep saving that energy, tokenize
your reductions and get rewarded
lovely stuff, thank you Rishi
has dropped off stage maybe fat thumbed fat
fingered the um the request button so fear you not there's no community question richie i will
i'll uh pass it on to the next speaker so for our next team welcoming the hang and dry duo
one account two people so we get double the action um yeah can you guys give us a bit of a an intro to hang and dry you know what's your app what are its goals
etc yes of course you can start are you all we are an x2earn app for drying
laundry and you make a photo of laundry of your laundry drying and then you will
get rewarded it's as simple as that. Well, that's good.
I want to tell you something about Hanging Dry
So we are two families, me and my brother,
came with the idea to build this,
or my brother is building, I was thinking.
He's the developer, but he's not here.
He's running for charity right now.
We both have families with a lot of laundry.
So we came up with this idea.
And they are doing the laundry.
And they hang it outside in the sun.
So we thought this can be implemented in Europe as well.
Because we live in the Netherlands, there's not much sun
but we still hang it on the attic. I thought there was a Dutch accent in there.
Yeah, we hang it on the attic to dry it, to skip the dryer because otherwise it will be
for three times a week drying with the machine. Yeah, we both have family.
So first, the dryer was always running,
but right now we changed it
and we do everything by air dry.
So that's your sustainability angle here
is essentially offsetting the use of a tumble dryer, basically.
Amazing. And everyone is doing their laundry so everyone can join hang and dry so that's that's just a very simple idea
no i mean i'm sure many people can relate i mean i'm in the uk so hanging my laundry outside doesn't
yield much drying unfortunately but yeah yeah definitely something uh that i'm sure many
can um make use of i mean how would you can also dry it inside your house that's also allowed as
long as you don't use your dryer so you can dry it inside outside uh we've already seen very
creative ways of drying your laundry on railways,
a tent, clothing lines in the middle of nature.
Everything is allowed as long as you don't use a dryer.
Very cool. Well, I live on a boat.
Drying is sacrilege where I live, unfortunately.
So, yeah, can you describe the process?
I mean, you kind of alluded to it, but how does a user use Handicap?
Yeah, first of all, you need an NFT passport.
You can request it very easily via a website or the app,
and you fill in a form, and we will look at the request,
and then we can reject or approve most of the time.
We do a little bit of research, and then we can reject or approve most of the time. We do a little bit of research and then we approve it.
We want the privacy, but also the security.
And I think it's good to say that we have now around,
we issued around 1300 passports in eight days.
We are live since eight days, I think on Mainnet.
We have around 1200,200 active users.
And most of the passwords, I think, almost 2,000 or 3,000 are rejected at the moment.
I mean, that's a good problem, I suppose.
And how have you found, so are you guys new to blockchain?
You kind of sounded like maybe you've come into this from afar.
Have you found the building slash integration experience?
Yeah, we are not, we are familiar with VeChain.
We invested in VeChain many years ago.
We invested in VeChain many years ago.
And I think since the beginning of this year, we started using some D-apps on VBetterDAO.
And we were discussing this with one of our family members.
And yeah, we wanted to build an app together.
And that's where Hang and Dry was created.
We are not the people with the technical skills, but our developer, he built the app with all the docs from VeChain.
And yeah, everything is working very good at the moment.
Amazing. You love to hear that.
Amazing. I mean, you love to hear that.
It's people getting inspired using the app,
maybe not necessarily the most dev capable,
but still able to get an app running,
and ultimately being inspired by other VBetter apps.
This is the brilliance of VBetter,
what it can deliver. You have a funny funny idea but it has a sustainable uh backdrop
you know all of a sudden you can tokenize i mean you could obviously quantify like a tumble dryer
how much one use uh you know is and then obviously um yeah create more kind of a fundamental like
data story for it as well i mean i don't a tumble dryer, so I don't know.
But I need to use Hangar Dry, clearly.
We will see your request for the NFT passport then in a while.
I mean, what's your kind of next steps then?
I mean, you know, you guys are pretty new,
so there's a horrible question to get.
I mean, you've just launched. Congratulations. new, so it's a horrible question to get. So what's next? I mean, you've just launched, congratulations,
1,200 weekly active users, that's amazing,
starting to find your feet.
Yeah, I mean, what are you guys,
what's your kind of status at the moment?
Yeah, the next steps are we want to attract more users
and we raise the submissions weekly from three to five
because we want more transactions on the VBetterDAO.
That's better for the platform, better for everyone.
So we chose for five submissions a week.
So people will open their wallet more often
and can use other DApps as well in the meantime.
So you can hang your laundry and snap a photo of your coffee or something or from your grocery
I'm having a technical malfunction over here.
Oh, my computer is locked.
Now I've given up the illusion of, you know,
organic flow of questions off the top of my head.
No, guys, yeah, amazing app.
Obviously, great success.
So, yeah, I mean, call to action for everyone.
Lovely little icon going on.
I look forward to hearing more from you
and seeing more wacky places
people are hanging clothes.
I need to see more of that.
Yeah, we will share them.
We are receiving Very interesting
I think there's a fun social media campaign there somewhere
Yeah, we will start it soon
Bianca Moula, I see a hand has been raised
I just quickly wanted to jump in
But I wanted to thank you for hosting the space.
And can't wait for the next one.
I mean, you're welcome to give a final call to action.
Obviously, you gave one earlier, but maybe you can repeat it for anyone who may have joined since.
Guys, if you have a Sun NFT, tomorrow the whitelist sale starts at one o'clock Central European Summer Time.
So make sure you get your Solar NFT within 24 hours because after that it goes into public sale
and the Sun Ticket it's just not reserving you the Solar NFT anymore. So yeah, make sure you
come onto our Dapp tomorrow at app.solarwise.vet
and claim your Solar NFT.
And if you don't have a Sun ticket yet, you can still get one today, tomorrow,
and reserve your Solar NFT.
Yeah, I mean, I saw even some of the devs at V-Train were like hitting the button
in the last sale, like, Glorian!
So yeah, it was a very highly sought after affair.
And Sun NFT is a workaround it's a
whitelist whitelist nft for anyone who missed that earlier context thank you bianca take care
uh good luck with everything hang and dry thank you very much for your time that was very
interesting guys and girls yeah just to repeat give them a follow check out the app obviously
vbetter.com it's got all the apps listed hit up hang and dry see what they're about uh it's a nice simple app you can engage send them your wackiest photo of
the wackiest place you're trying whatever you want to try because we need to see some social media
activity from these guys soon moving up grun card i might be pronouncing that wrong is that
grun is there an umlaut there or am i just uh butchering
it oh actually we've lost them oh no we are down a speaker guys i apologize i just blindly uh
started talking and i didn't even pay attention to the fact that we're no longer here so growing card
um i mean i can try and give a high level. From what I understand, from my observation,
essentially transforming better into reward cards
for different kinds of things.
I don't want to say much more because I don't want to say the wrong thing
and then get an angry DM later on.
So we're going to move on.
If Growncard joins, rejoins, will uh let them you know let them give their give their
spiel uh sagas bill i just brought you up again i saw you re-requested hey man how's it going
hey how's it going yeah twitter's being a real today yeah what's going on uh not much um sounds like you and i are both in the same boat um both the last two uh
meter made and hang drive we're both in the same um like our cabin we don't we're not connected to
the main grid um most of our power comes from solar power um so i wanted to jump up and offer
from solar power um so i wanted to jump up and offer our uh readings that come off of like we
get a pdf format for our uh charge controller um so if meter mate wants to get in contact with me
um we would be willing to let them interact with our charge controller and whatnot and basically you know help with the
setup and everything like that um and also hang dry we'll definitely be looking for a passport
me and my wife hang dry everything so just wanted to give shout outs to both these these uh new apps
they're you're ready to roll and then obviously SailorWise, bring in the more ad hoc
opportunities, as in... Absolutely.
You've got conversations to be
having after this show. Very cool.
Paulie, I just brought you back up.
I saw you re-requested as well. Did you have any
comments or questions at this point?
Oh, am I rugging i hope no shoot sorry i'm i'm back i got home i'm on my real setup now so i have a microphone and i forgot i have two different uh mute buttons um my apologies
no i i just wanted to to jump back up here and uh and join the convo uh but it's been great
hearing from these teams.
First time I got a chance to hear from Hang and Dry.
So really cool to hear from you guys.
Always great to hear the people behind these projects get to talk
and hear a little bit about who they are.
So really cool getting to meet you guys.
Hopefully we get a chance to talk with you at some point in other spaces
and dig a little deeper, but either way, man, I'm, I'm loving what I'm hearing
from, from all these teams. And, um, yeah, I'm just, I'm really enjoying sitting back and
listening to the combo. So great, great job, uh, Jake dealing with this pain in the ass. We call
X, uh, keep, keep, keep it going, my friend. I got the messing up, and then I've got my decentralized internet
from my off-grid house situation that's not doing me any favors right now as well.
So, yeah, I mean, everything's working against me, it seems.
Bianca, I will get to you shortly.
I won't keep you waiting.
But Scandi's just popped up.
You know, we like to keep an organic feed of commentary as we go,
so it's not too stuffy. So I just want to give Scandi a just popped up you know we like to keep an organic feed of commentary as we go so it's not too stuffy so i just want to give Scandi a minute to comment he's requested a speaker
slot so Scandi what's your thoughts comments questions hello VFM lovely evening here from
the Netherlands always nice to hear from you Jake you're my favorite Brit so cheers to that
uh i just wanted to say it's nice to hear
some dutch pride with hang and dry i will definitely apply for a passport and start
hanging and drying my clothes and yeah as a note to that i just really like that some of the
projects or like almost every project is taking security and anti-farming measures. And yeah, I'm just happy to see the V Passport coming to life with that.
And I can't wait to hear and see more of all of you guys.
Big shout out to the VFAM and the whole V Better DAO.
And yeah, I mean, I love that you've been there throughout.
Like we met for the first time at the VBetter launch in the Netherlands, actually.
So that was a fun little moment.
So big up yourself as well.
You're my favorite Dutch guy.
I know a lot of Dutch people.
I'm taking this win 100%. Thanks, Jake.
And have a nice day guys and scan real
quick a shout out to scandy joining the uh ambassador group as well kudos to you man shout
out to you and all the ambassadors appreciate good to see scandy joining the uh joining the fold my
guy thanks uh thanks brother it's uh it's an amazing bunch of people i've been here for uh
i think close to eight years already as well
uh around the veechain community so yeah it's it's an honor and i'm very proud to be a part
of the group and to just continue to spread the word on veechain vbetta dow and to educate people
to to help them and yeah to just progress the the whole community and the projects. Yeah, I like it.
The Dutch always turned out throughout history.
The first major community that got on board with VeChain was the Dutch.
When I arrived, it was like Dutch city.
Amazing to see you guys after all these years.
Right. How about all? Sorry to keep you waiting.
Thank you for your patience. No problem. Thank you, Jake.
And I'm the other Bianca. Hi, everyone.
I'm the co-founder of How Bottle. And as I mentioned, we are not a dap.
We are a sustainable lifestyle brand.
So the problem we want to solve is plastic waste.
So every year the world generates about 350 million tons of plastic waste every year.
And what we can do is the solution we are offering is to upcycle these plastic waste.
And we recycle plastic bottles of fishing nets and make beautiful bags, hats, sunglasses and other accessories.
And we are very careful to not produce more waste. So our design team put a lot
of efforts in making a beautiful, practical and durable accessories to make sure you want to use
them and it will last. And we care about traceability a lot. So that's why we work with WeCarbon,
I think part of the WeChin family.
So we work with them to track our carbon footprint.
And we are one of the first lifestyle brands
using DAO DNA marker technology to trace materials.
And so to make sure there's no greenwashing. And we are, as I mentioned,
we are not that we are new to the Web3 world. And we hope to be part of the positive
energy here. And I have been very excited to learn so much from all the devs. And I'm so excited that we can do a lot together.
And I guess, including Jake,
a lot of you will ask like what we can do with the community
or what we can contribute, right?
So yeah, let me, yeah, let me get into that.
I'm confusing you with my gestures.
Yeah, no, I just wanted to comment actually,
because I think it's a really interesting crossover with VCarbon
because people have heard about it and talked about it.
And some may be familiar, some may not.
But I think it's probably the first time anyone would have interacted
with someone that's used VCarbon.
So that's quite an interesting crossover.
So we should maybe explore at a later date
yeah yeah we have two products um are working with a weak carbon so you can you can track like how
much uh carbon footprint we are making and how much we are saving yeah um and to continue my stories, even we are not DAB, but I have been following the Web3 community
I was a financial TV reporter at Thomson Reuters, and I started covering Bitcoin from 2012.
And later, I produced a docuseries about the blockchain in 2018, 19, which is how I first met Sunny, learned about WeChain
and started to think about how to connect the Web3
And last year I learned about WeBetter.
So I started to kind of dive into to see how community is doing.
And I was like, our brand has to work with
this group of amazing people and to push sustainability um one more step um and
we launched a proposal um several weeks ago and uh we are collecting all the feedbacks
from the community and we are rethinking what we want to do here
this time we are relaunching our campaign here and we are here not to ask but we are here to
contribute we have invested out of our own pocket to buy 250 000 we better tokens and starting from now the first 1000 orders from the we better dial community
will get 211 we better tokens from us as a reward and plus a 20% discount if you use
the code we bd 2025 and you can check out all the details on our expert x page and we just announced the all the details
and why are we doing this um because we believe in what this community is building and we want
to make it easier for people to try sustainable products and to see what's possible yeah i love
that i mean it's it shows a very proactive mindset as well obviously you have a
cool uh brand and you've gone proposal first but i think in this world you know web free obviously
meeting community being present creating that communal touch point first is is actually a
really valuable um strategy so it's good to see you not put off and kind of back with plans and a strategy
to how you can make it work. And I think now folks have heard you, felt your energy and obviously
seen you guys, your project's intent and commitment, that will, you know, that speaks
for itself. So it's great to have you, Bianca. I would implore everyone who's listening, you know,
click on the nice crunchy bottle icon
and just give them a follow.
There's details on the campaign there
so you can get a bit more information yourself
and kind of check out what they're doing.
But it's a very cool campaign by the looks of it.
Yeah, a little bit things I want to add on.
It's like, it's not just about marketing.
It's also about the bridging between Web3 world and the physical world.
And we will promote We Better on our own channels as well.
And also, we hope more people get learned through us about what you guys are doing here.
And we are working on to accept
be better token in the future and now i think um everyone can pay through stella pay and in the
future we also look forward to working with more partners in the space like megshock green card
stella pay i mean a lot of, your missions align with ours.
So that's a lot in the future, I can tell.
Yeah, I'm just checking out the products now, actually.
They're actually really cool.
I'm on the VChain account.
But, I mean, there's some pretty cool stuff.
I recommend everyone goes check us out howbot.co.
It's definitely a certain aspect, but if you're into that,
which I definitely am, I think that's a really cool uh product so essentially folks would get a a reward for purchasing this you know sustainable product essentially so it's an offset
of plastic waste um that you guys are producing uh you know recreating from wastes, right? Yeah, yeah. So we recycle all the bottles and the fishing net.
And so far, we have recycled over a million bottles.
And almost, yeah, 400,000 square feet of fishing net.
So, yeah, we're proud of ourselves, but we want to do more.
Yeah, I mean, what's next for you guys? I mean, you already look quite mature as a project. But we want to do more. That's phenomenal.
What's next for you guys?
You already look quite mature as a project.
Obviously, you've been around for a little while.
What are you guys up to now?
What are you thinking in the future?
We started from 2016. But in the last eight years, the product was only available in China.
And we just launched our global site in april so if you are in the us in europe now you can purchase our product and
contribute to the world a little bit oh yeah and uh beyond going global we are working on like new product like a pickleball uh butt bag and accessories and
also working with amazing communities like we better down here um yeah that's uh what we are
thinking now love it very very cool very cool um do you have any calls to action yourself we um
i see but green how did grown card get back up here that's so bizarre um a speaker
has reappeared i'm not sure what's going on vex today but yeah banko sorry not to detract from
yourself um yeah any any calls to action obviously follow your page check out the campaign have a
look at the website um understand what these guys are doing. Sorry, I'm speaking on your behalf now.
Really cool crossover with vCarbon.
I think anyone who's heard that name through vChain's history,
first time I've ever seen or interacted with someone using it.
Yeah, check out our website and see what you like.
And besides, buy something you like and get some reward
and also leave us some feedback.
We'd love to hear from you.
And you mentioned a proposal.
Is that a new one in development?
So we proposed something several weeks ago
and we kind of redo everything.
So we want to use a different approach.
We're not asking for any token at this moment.
We purchased some token ourselves out of our own pocket.
We think it's a gesture to introduce ourselves sincerely. sincerely uh we hope everyone um can see what we do and to get some sustainable product from us
amazing well yeah i think you know you've done the right thing coming to meet the community
get in front of everyone um i would say you know have a chat with connor have a chat with paulie
get on some spaces with them you know i join those spaces as well and we can bridge to the
yeah keep you guys present in the conversation i think it sounds like a really cool initiative
but i don't want to you know create any biases here everyone is free to choose for themselves
but bianca that was really uh insightful thank you and i think you know look forward to seeing
some more content from your ex account i think we could probably do a bit more on the story side of things.
And tell your story a bit more
because it's a cool story.
I think there's a lot to be said.
Grown Card, I will drop back to you.
but Grown Card has reappeared.
I don't know what happened.
You disappeared off the stage completely, but you've reappeared.
I've written to you in Telegram.
I don't know why, but everything just vanished at some point.
I didn't see the space anymore.
So, sorry, but it's like a tech course you guys experienced at the beginning, I guess.
So, yeah, I was a victim by myself.
Something's going on today.
There's some bugs in the system somewhere.
All right, well, glad to have you back.
I didn't want to leave you out.
So, Gronkard, I gave a super, super basic attempt
at describing your project,
but I would rather you give us a much more detailed version.
So maybe you can intro your app.
So actually, we've been building since the end of 2024.
I'm the CEO of the company.
And you maybe know better Pio.
Francesco Pio is our founder, CEO.
He's pretty active in the
community so I think you've heard of him somehow actually we already been
developing and we are a team of ten people working on this project and this
is sounds like a little bit naive but it's really a project coming from you guys because
in the past months or and weeks we've heard a lot of feedbacks from the community that
were collecting b3tr with of course the transactions sustainability stuff and since
we introduced these people then they were coming back to us asking, OK, fine, but what can I do with these tokens?
I mean, I'm accumulating. OK, but then what happens?
So the fact is that, you know, the crypto space is pretty complex, right? coin has already 15 years still there's a lot to do to make it more easy more more fascinating to
hide all the complexities of blockchains so we we try to to find somehow a method to onboard people
and make them easy hiding all this stuff because course, the average Joe is still a valuable asset
because he or she can do a lot of virtuous actions
for the environment, for sustainability.
It can grow the environment and so on.
So we thought, okay, how can we make him the life easier?
And we came out with actually a pretty simple idea,
but it's still a trend in the recent years.
So of course, the ecosystem is already in place.
So it makes you gain tokens through the sustainability
But then it closes the loop, making it
easier to gain from these actions, from these rewards,
and make you buy stuff that you really need in your daily life.
For example, I don't know, you buy groceries, you buy Netflix subscription, you buy stuff
from Amazon, and you don't really need to know what's behind that.
I mean, you just buy gift cards and you use them.
That's it. That's so simple.
So this is the really simple idea behind it,
but for us it really is valuable
because it brings value to the environment,
making it possible to onboard people
that are absolutely outside the Web3 environment,
Web3 systems from the traditional world, like also businesses,
So that's pretty the idea behind the big-eyed drone card.
And I mean, you make a good point.
The average Joe is our objective as well at VeChain because, you know, we're always trying to break down those barriers to adoption and use cases from enterprise now to real people, air quote.
And yeah, I think it's a really smart direction. I mean, that's where the next billion users comes from, right? You hear that number all the time, like onboarding the next billion, but it is going to happen.
And the only way you're going to achieve that is abstracting blockchain
and making it functional and easy to use for your average person.
So, yeah, you hit a very important note there.
Sorry, your mic came off.
I thought you were going to say something.
But, yeah mic came off. I thought you were going to say something. But yeah, moving on. So yeah, I mean, how do users engage with your platform cases and goods and services we can offer. So Growncard is more like a real marketplace
where gift cards is just the entry point. So the way we present to the ecosystem,
to the environment and make you engage with us in an easy way. But then you're actually going to see several news in the next coming weeks and months.
And absolutely, the use case is the first topic.
Because if we can offer use cases and ways to make the ecosystem grow in an organical way,
ecosystem grow in an organical way as all the crypto systems they are I mean
easy and quick to you know to be abandoned so we have to grow stably and
the the user base we have to retain the users that otherwise would abandon the
platform and then also we have to introduce other users,
other ways to engage with the ecosystem and with the dApps.
So the users at this moment can engage with us buying gift cards,
but actually we plan to expand our system.
We expand to also other dApps,
so having synergies with our dApps and also synergies with other businesses
because as also i mean as users are outside the web 3 also businesses i mean probably other dApps
before made a really good point so the point is also to try to establish relationships with businesses and companies that are
outside this world I mean not just the V chain X system but also the web 3 and
block changes system because there's a lot of people outside especially in the
sustainability sector because there's a lot of you know zero kilometer stuff going on all the local startups that are I mean coming out in the
in the ecosystem a lot of people that are trying to make the world better and that they usually
these people have a lot of small companies but we have to try to reach them and and create
lot of small companies but we have to try to reach them and and create the uh an ecosystem
and create value and create synergies so that's our point for sure so yeah you can buy gift cards
for the moment but stay tuned because we have a lot of news coming very cool very cool and yeah
guys and girls uh be sure to follow Green Card.
I need the European tang.
But again, you're speaking a great truth.
I've seen a lot of, you know, there's a lot of refi stuff out there.
Obviously, VBetter's goal and these interoperability aspirations we've got through Wanchain, through VChain Renaissance.
It's about creating that hub where everyone can then, you operate through this kind of uh larger platform essentially so i think very exciting stuff and
giving the better token a utility and an application beyond you know because you do hear that a lot when
web2 folk use the apps like that's cool what the heck do I do with a better token? Then it has a tangible, well-contextualized application.
Like, oh, yeah, I love shopping on Amazon.
So it's nice to tie that good deed and the Web3 up with the real-world outcome
because that's what people want to see.
Could you just share some light on the buildings? I'm going to take a minute to shill the new grants program again.
A little forced segway there. Guys and girls, again, new grants program's up. Check it out. Pin and tweet on the VeChain Foundation.
We want to support apps. We want to support integrators. Check it out. Apply. Come join the fun.
We've got some amazing projects joining VBETERDEL
that you've been hearing from today.
But yeah, Grown Club, maybe you could speak
how you found the dev experience.
Have you had experience of other blockchains
or is Vechain your first?
Yeah, so actually we had a mixed experience
in software development and blockchain as well.
We've been following the steps of growth of eChain since 2017.
So some of us are pretty old in the space.
And I must admit that is one of the best ecosystems we're to develop because
were to develop because they provide a lot of cool tools toolkit is awesome we
they provide a lot of cool tools. Toolkit is awesome.
as you said before we integrated with the green card it was our first stop
integration and Fabio and Federico are awesome it's a lot of cool stuff going
on the tools are easy to understand documentation is cool so actually I mean actually it's an undervalued ecosystem for what it provides for us
definitely because there are not so many systems and blockchains with a lot of
you know business vision where you have to make things easy because us that most of us are nerds right so uh we
have to the tendency to to think about uh over complicated sometimes so uh to to get fascinated
by complicated stuff but actually people want easy stuff like gift cards you just click on it twice
and that's it you have it it. You have your value.
You have transformed your B3 tier with, you know, like sweat and tears with your all sustainable stuff and action that are vicious.
But then you have your rewards and easy.
So that's the way that the ecosystem has to work.
And I mean, really, you have a lot of tools that you have developed over
the years that are awesome and the division the b2b vision you provided in these recent years
also is awesome so i mean for us it's uh absolutely astonishing how we integrate it so so easily in
the ecosystem and to see all the developments.
Well, that will be music to a lot of the teams.
Obviously, we've been very busy building out the website documentation, ecosystem,
you know, and all those people involved have been slaving away for the past few years.
I mean, anyone who was around VeChain in the old days you know you will you will
know that the the documentation was was a bit lacking so a lot of work's gone into making that
user journey as easy as possible and it's a great you know great to hear that you guys have benefit
from that so amazing stuff thank you for your time gruncard we're gonna move on to our last but not
least final uh new dap here tonight and that is the Big Bottle team.
So Big Bottle, welcome to the stage. Sorry to keep you waiting for so long, and thank you for
sticking around. No worries at all. Yeah, welcome, welcome. It's your time to shine. So feel free to
intro your app. What are its goals? For sure. Yeah, thanks a lot, Jake. So yeah. Hey everyone, Jason from Big Bottle.
So we are another bottle related project,
but a different approach, same goal.
So Big Bottle is a DApp promoting
progressive environmental protection
and the plastic usage reduction.
The context is yeah, over 500 billion plastic bottles
are used every year globally, and
roughly like 91% of those are not recycled and cause pollution.
I mean, it can be hard to encourage people to eliminate the usage of plastic all at once,
because in many stereos, we kind of have to use plastic here and there.
So what a big bottle tries to do is to encourage and incentivize people to just progressively
reduce plastic usage starting from buying products that use less amount of plastic under the same
volume aka bigger bottles for example like buying a 1.5 liter drink in a single big bottle uses
around like 35 less plastic than buying three 500 milligram small bottles.
Yeah, so the app is live.
It's so live just around a month ago,
and everyone is more than welcome to try it.
The link is shown on our X account.
And how it works is on the app,
users can take photos of their receipts and upload.
And if any beverages products are shown on the receipts,
our integrated AI program will just
automatically extraction and allocate points for users depending on the size of the bottle
so for anything of a bottle that's less than 700 milligram that's like one point and 700
milligram to 1.5 liter that's like 10 points and then above 15 liters that's 15 points so basically
yeah just like the name the bigger the bottle is the more points there will be and the app itself
is permissionless so everyone from all territories are welcome to hop on this
usage reduction journey right away and for how the point system works is the points will be
distributed every Tuesday and there will be a manual review
and verification process before the distribution.
So yeah, although the app itself is permissionless,
we still need to ensure there's no like exploit
or gaming the system kind of activities
like using fake receipts or intentionally farming the points
by abusing plastic usage, that's what we want to see.
Yeah, so the app itself, yeah, again, went alive
just around a month ago, and we have now had over 35,000 users.
And our next target is to hit 10,000.
And for the next steps, we are working on a row and level system.
So users with different rows and levels will have different rewards multipliers.
And we're also looking to introduce We Better Doubt staking and voting system natively on the product.
So we are more closely binding with ecosystem.
And in addition, although we are not looking into having any kind of passport NFT at the moment,
We are not looking into having any kind of passport NFT at the moment,
but we will look into more composability and collaborations with other ecosystem projects,
like supporting other projects, passport NFT on the day app.
And yeah, that's kind of the intro on my site.
Amazing. Nice, comprehensive overview.
I mean, how have you found engagement so far?
I think you guys are relatively new. Do you have any insights you want to share or calls to action for the community?
ecosystem and account. So yeah, and we have pretty good organic growth at the moment. And yeah,
we're really looking to expand our adoption to 10,000 users next. So yeah, everybody just like
using more big bottles and no smaller bottles. Just go to the big ones. Amazing. What inspired
you to build the app? Do you have a backstory? Yeah, so I mean, the Big Bottle team members,
we're all kind of just gradually leaning
to like those more house related kind of
related activities and stuff.
We work out and we drink a lot of like water
and different kind of beverages every day.
And then we just realized, okay, we're wasting so much plastic.
And one of the devs are kind of long-term WeChain supporters,
and he's been really into the We Better Now side of stuff.
So he just got an idea, like, why don't we do something not super complicated,
like not super complicated, just start to promote you.
just start to promote it. Maybe just start with bigger bottles.
Maybe just start with like bigger bottles.
Well, you know, the ideas can come from anywhere.
So, I mean, it makes sense.
And again, it's another like tied to your real life kind of perspective there.
I mean, you work out, you're getting healthier, you drink water,
healthier you drink water you need to hydrate that's part of the health and well-being um you
That's part of the health and well-being.
know the unstg which is that broad kind of guidance for sustainability as we see it so you know that
is a perfect sustainability use case i mean better than chugging like a what was it in america you know yeah those large get 40 ounce soda
yeah definitely not that blows my mind
by the way sorry 40 ounce
no one needs 40 ounces of anything
we like to force as many calories
and sugars down our throat at one
time as we can that's just america
brilliant well big blood no thank you that's
very insightful um do you have any calls to action for our listeners what should they do
uh i mean uh if you're interested in just reducing plastic usage and help on this journey
yeah click on my avatar and and the link is there,
Upload the receipt, earn points, and save the world.
Save the world, get paid.
Who doesn't love that, right?
That's the brilliant simplicity of VBetter
and great apps like BigBottle.
But, I mean, wow, almost two hours.
I will open the floor briefly.
We have seven minutes technically.
If anyone wants to ask a last minute question,
you know, please put your hands up in the next minute.
And I'm just going to do a little spiel,
you know, warm down the space
because I think it's time for everyone to digest
what we've gone through today
because there's been a lot of stuff.
It's been an action-packed session.
I appreciate all the teams for coming and sharing everything that's going on.
It is a very busy ecosystem, and it's amazing to see this growth
and this engagement and new apps coming, new projects being formed,
brilliant minds joining VeChain.
It's a very exciting time.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm definitely very excited.
We've got Breaking Balls.
He's coming to Breaking My Balls, probably.
Breaking Balls, how are you doing?
Welcome, welcome, welcome.
Thanks, Jake. thanks for doing this
i'm so glad to hear metermate talk for the first time um one of the first uh well one of the
endorsers of their app and i've really been loving what they're doing uh especially with the streaking
and everything like that so um yeah rishi and google um i don't know the other person yet but
yeah actually we actually had a Zoom to
meet them, which was funny and weird because, you know, I grilled them hard. That was like my first,
I'm going to take my three points seriously and really use them. And, you know, it's been going
great because they've just been quietly working under the hood and no controversy, nothing,
And that's all we can ask for.
So super excited about what they're doing.
I just had a quick question for Big Bottle.
3,500 users in a month, that's quite an achievement.
Is that transactions or actual users?
Because that's quite a number for being on the DAW for one per month.
Or how did you attract that many?
Or are you like doing what Sunny said
where it's kind of like maybe have tiers
for, you know, some undesirables
and then, you know, better tiers
for real folks, et cetera?
I mean, the tier system is still in development,
not live yet. I think, yeah, system is still in development, not live yet.
I think, yeah, for now, it's mostly because some of it is from, I think, from the main
So he has been a long-term kind of WeChain supporter.
So after the app goes live, he kind of went to reach out to a lot of people.
So a lot of people will not try it, and then they go through their connections.
And yeah, so that's how we got all the current users right now and so
far the features as live are pretty straightforward basically user you take picture of your receipt
of upload and they wait for the points and that's kind of all we have yeah okay thanks
yeah i think the simplicity is the key element as well here. This is what has been quite good to see apps adopting these cool concepts that are impactful,
but delivering them in a relatively simplistic format.
Sustainability doesn't have to be hard.
Crypto doesn't have to be hard.
It's amazing to see people pioneering this ecosystem and driving it forward.
Kudos to everyone who is doing awesome stuff
and breakables thank you as always appreciate your question uh i don't see any other hands up
so i'm gonna i'm gonna call it guys well real quick jake i want to say this uh just just because
we're on big bottle here and i love that when we look at the dow we're seeing different issues
being tackled and i think that the bottle issue is a great example, right?
We have multiple DApps now that are trying to tackle the same problem
in different ways, which I think is really cool.
You know, we have the Bubbles DApp,
which is trying to incentivize people for using reusable containers,
so avoiding using plastic at all.
We have Big Bottle that's trying to incentivize using larger containers,
which is reducing without making people give it up completely.
And then we have a team like How Bottle,
which is trying to find ways to reuse the plastic that's already out there.
And of course we got Cleanify and other examples of recycling,
you know, D apps that want to help the problem.
But we all know that some of these issues are huge and it's going to take multiple angles
And I just really like seeing this.
You know, we have certain ones that are trying to prevent it while also others are trying
to find ways to mitigate the damage that's already been done and in some ways reverse
So I love seeing the direction that the Dow's taking in that regard,
that we're finding teams come in and come up with creative ways
to not only prevent but also try and reverse and switch things back, right?
So very cool to see that.
And just to focus on the bottle angle there I think is a great way
for us to look at it and kind of encapsulate it,
what this DAO is offering us an opportunity to do environmentally. So kudos to everybody that's
building and trying to tackle all these problems in whichever way you're going, because none of us
are going to fix these problems by ourselves, but it's great seeing all these teams contributing to
A problem shared is a problem halved,
and we're definitely seeing a very interesting kind of approach from everyone trying different stuff.
So, yeah, hit the nail on the head there, Polly.
And, yeah, thank you, everyone, for coming.
I appreciate everyone that's turned up.
From VeChain's perspective, just a little, you know,
dangle of a fishing rod at the end.
But we've got some really cool stuff in the works with VCG. So you can expect to see some very cool programs coming from them soon in relation to the ecosystem and supporting its growth there.
And as I alluded to at the start, we're in the process of talking to a bunch of institutions who are very interested in our new staking model, VBETA, all these things we're doing, which obviously is going to lend to visibility, growth.
The real world adoption slash utility narrative is just becoming so important now.
Everyone's seen that meme hype come in.
Obviously, lots of money pumped up in the space.
Now, everyone's kind of sat on their hands thinking, damn, like, okay, great. Bitcoin is going places, but like, where's
blockchain going? And these kind of real-world utility application scenarios, they resonate so
hard of institutions. So I just spoke with Sunny's day and we're kind of mapping out, you know, next
steps of how we bring these to everyone and share all the good news and
conversations. But yeah, watch the space on that. I mean, it's going to be a wild few
years ahead for sure. The industry is not stopping anytime soon, guys and girls. So
with that closing thought, yeah, we're going to call it. We're going to wish everyone a
good day, wherever you are in the world. I thank you for our teams for joining.
Bookmark all their pages.
And yeah, let's grow this thing.
Cheers. have a fantastic day
