Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. slow down i just want to get to know you hey we out here shout out to zoll shout jango
shout out zach gonna get started a little bit uh If we could turn on the music for the Wave Wars account, give me a second.
I'm still connecting the music, making sure we'll be able to play music today.
So give me a couple more minutes.
Give me a few more minutes.
Yeah, that's not really how it works.
Once you stop the music, it just stops permanently.
But on the blow side for you, you shouldn't have to worry about getting it ready.
And we can just get ready as a backup
if it needs to be we just tested it out
song jams seem to work really solid
can we pop up the Wave Wars account
I mean, you sound good, bro.
What kind of extra tech are you using today?
That's just sounding kind of swathe.
Just for you. Your favorite sound.
Yo, but you quiet now. What do you do?
Why do you turn the volume down?
Nah, nah. You hear me now?
There you go. Yeah, yeah.
You hear the sounds? Yeah.
Things going well, though. Looking very
against myself, you know? Oftentimes
the greatest demon is always ourselves. You know, it's ourselves who against myself you know oftentimes the greatest demon is always ourselves
you know it's ourselves who place our own limitations on us right
nah my thing is like why are you really staring in the mirror in your profile with you
like when i tell you that stuff is perfect yo that stuff is perfect yeah As of it's perfect, yo. As of it's perfect. Yeah.
Once you stare into that mirror, you've never been the same since.
All right, let me send the space out.
Yo-mi, as we set things up, getting things started.
Zaw says he got the music through a song jam, Biz-'s a bet bro that's a bet I'm still I'm still figuring out what's
going on my sound trying to configure it right but uh things are looking sketchy
on this I know okay okay let's try this all right oh okay that see that works let me forget this device maybe
that'll be this device will not connect automatically yet all right let's see
what happens when we do that all right
Uh, battle day, vibing, sending the space out, make sure you repeat, not repeat, repost
the space, let's get it in, shout out, inspiring this thing, you feel me, Jango, what you been
up to this week, how's main, you know what I'm saying, I know you've been kicking it
with Zmaja out there, bro, like what y'all been doing, bro, what the kid's been up to,
out there, bro? Like, what y'all been doing, bro?
What the kids been up to?
Like, honestly, it's been fun.
Lauren were playing softball
yesterday with their, like, uh...
Wait, you super quiet again?
You, like, super quiet again?
There you go. There you go.
Zah and them, Zal and Lauren
is your friend. They were playing
softball for their intramural team.
Yeah. And I Lost ball? Yeah.
And apparently they have not lost yet.
And they didn't lose last year either.
But Zola wasn't on the team last year.
But since Zola's been on the team, the team has only done better.
So just watching them just kind of destroy people was pretty funny I'm not
gonna lie very entertaining um the coach of the team had like a dog you know she
was adorable I was playing with her constantly she was very friendly too um
yeah like I don't know I'm working posting some stuff some some entities up on third web
using one of the songs that I'm actually doing today in the me versus myself
versus I battle um why wait as well as there's the NFT of another song up on Tortoise that you can currently collect right now on Barcaster.
So, you know, we put our stuff out there.
We put our stuff out there, right?
And then on top of that, the third thing is I got another song dropping tomorrow
that is also going to be featured in this battle.
So, y'all look for some stuff.
That's a bet. That's a bet.
Looking forward to it for sure, dog.
Definitely looking forward to what music you got coming up.
See Africa through good news.
Yo, I can't tell if you a troll or not.
You know what I'm saying?
But, like, you came to the space, instantly request.
That's some troll shit, bro.
But we'll give you a shot here.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, shout out to Marvy out here.
Going to start the battle soon.
Zog, we got the music ready, man.
I mean, if we're ready to rock, I can make it work.
But I'm going to work on the streaming
over here that you so desperately wanted, so why don't you give a little monologue,
give everyone an intro to Jango here.
My bro. What's up? What's good, man? What's up, man? We out here? Hey, bro. How we keep? My bro.
We're going to get it done.
We're our G Django here, man.
We got a song battle here.
We don't have his own music versus each other.
So I don't know if you've ever been into
any of our battles, but yo,
today, it's going to go down, bro.
It's going to go down. So yeah,
appreciate you vibing with us.
No doubt, no doubt. Let's say what's up to
Sea Africa. What's up, Sea Africa?
What's up, man? What's up, man? Hi, dude, man.
So what you doing around here?
Okay, so I'm good with music.
So I saw this piece on Web3.
Dang, you're super quiet, bro.
I saw the post, the link to the piece on Web3, and I dived in because I'm all about the music.
So I just want to be here for the ride.
I'm down to hear this music i already know jango
been cooking up crazy bro i already know you've been in the studio i've been seeing you on uh
on instagram chopping it up telling folks what to do how to cook up etc etc so yeah i'm hyped to
see this all come into fruition and see what really goes down. Shout out to our guy Crypto Wizard up in the space, man.
Django, bro, give us an intro as to who you are, you know, how you got into music, blah, blah, blah, bro.
Let the folks know. Really get the folks, you know what I'm saying, prepared for what we about to hear today, bro.
That's what we need to be, bro. That's how we need to feel.
Damn, bro, you done stepped away from the mic you like 12 000 you said what how about now there you go there you go yeah i did don't worry don't worry we can turn it up too we can do we
can turn it up more all right how about now nah this is a good spot right here. That's a good spot right here.
don't know me, my name is
If you put it together, it's W.
A lot of people miss that.
I knew a lot of people were going to miss that
just the moment I named myself that.
W stands for Unleashed Unchained, which is just like, you know, best version of yourself.
You know, the easiest way to put it.
But I'm an experimental hip-hop artist out of New York, New York City specifically, NYC.
New York, New York City specifically, NYC.
And I've been making music since I was 16.
And I'm a rapper, producer, engineer, singer, songwriter.
Yeah, you name it, I do it.
I can play a couple instruments, but
renaissance music man, if you will. A bit.
Not all the way, but definitely a bit.
Because I can go stretch wide, but I can go deep with like the creation aspect.
And I asked for people who don't know me, the way I got into Web3 was through my managers
all, my homeboys all, we met in college, just similar friend groups.
And we just hit it off you know smoked
a lot of weed together um and then over the years we kind of realized way on a sec like
we have a more common than we thought like let's just hang out around that time i was telling him
yo i'm about to drop like my first song or whatever the fuck like yo like i was like
you think you can help me
and nigga was like yeah absolutely bet like yeah like and so we started talking around because he
was cool with the dj at this country club that we used to all go to to party at because um that was
the spot that all the college kids went to they had a college night on ths, Thursday nights. And I got my little first little release party at that country club.
And it was very, very, very late.
It was way more lit than I ever anticipated it being, like, honestly.
Like, but, yeah, it was fun.
And then from there, we've been tapping ever since.
So I got into web three at some
point and i want to say 2023 um and then from there he deep dove he met some people who helped
him network into deeper parts of the scene and get acclimated and you know um to like uh the
customs and the culture right and then from there know, we started making our own moves, you know,
with Z-Town Agency, you know,
Zao Dao, Zalpalooza, Zalchella, you know.
And obviously we couldn't do it without collaborators.
Like Candy, I see you in the building.
Obviously without Hurricane, you know,
basically one of the founding fathers of Wave Wars
and the founding father of music battles
in web 3 like just straight up the founding father like if you're looking for like the
george washington of this shit it's hurricane like it really is right um and yeah that's that's
kind of how we all went right so like i met Hurricane for the first time in real life back in April 2024 for Zalpalooza,
which was during NFT NYC, and that was hilarious.
Ended up staying with my homeboy, Smoke Wavy, in that random hotel or not.
In Weehawken or something like that.
Whatever the place was called.
But yeah, it was right by the city. It was fun.
It was so much fun. But yeah.
as I know, guys, this is Wave Wars
Live's Traded Song vs. Song Battles.
songs or two songs. So, one song
The way I chose my songs were
by like era that i made them in right so we're going to start off with my origins cracks these are tracks that are like very fundamentally important to who i am as an artist and tracks
that made me the artist i am today um and you're going to get to see a little bit of an evolution
you know over the course of time
and see like oh this is how dango developed evolved as an artist and you're gonna see like
it's a multi-faceted thing right so it's not like a linear progress or progression excuse me um it's
very much a branching constantly branching out in different directions type of development. But yeah, you're going to see this.
The first round is going to be my origin tracks, right?
Like I said, stuff that made me the artist that who I am today.
Both of these songs I wrote, you know, before COVID even happened.
Or at least the first versions of them.
And you're going to be hearing the current versions I have of both of these
songs because one thing about me, I'm a bit picky,
just like never good enough type of person.
Like I've put out songs, re-released them,
and then re-released them a second time.
Like it's really like that for me.
Because if I think I can do better, I will try.
Whether or not I can do better is a different story, right?
But I will always try to do better if I can.
And especially if I think I can.
And even more so if I'm unhappy with how it came out the first
if I'm unhappy with how it came out the first
or even second time, right?
or even second time, right?
This is a level of detail, attention to detail
and dedication to the craft that I have that I,
I do my best to really kind of cultivate that
and keep that as a core part of who I am as an artist.
Just being able to iterate on stuff and
get the absolute best that you can. I think that's how all great ideas are made. You don't
just think of a great idea and it's just all great and like that's how it came to you. Usually it
started off from something kind of dumb or kind of hard to execute you kind of
created something that was doable and then made it cooler over time and refined it more over time
you know eventually um you know you cut the wheat from the shaft and you know, you get oatmeal and shit like that. Right. Like super duper refined.
You cut the diamond out the rock, you know,
you carve the sculpture out the stone and that's kind of how I see my music.
Reiner share the space. All right. I'm battling myself.
I'm literally fighting against myself. Like share the space all right i'm battling myself i'm literally fighting against myself
like share the space y'all share the space all right but yeah i hope y'all enjoy though all
right it's gonna be fun so
jeez i was so close to be done handling the advent stuff on the back end bro i was so close to be done handling the Advent stuff on the back end, bro. I was so close.
But then Django was finished, man.
But, yo, shout out to you, man.
Dope to hear the story, bro.
Zong, give us a little more time.
No, I actually got something for Django to also show right now.
So it's worth the beginning.
And there's only seven or eight people here.
There's only seven editions left of Django's newest NFT.
Django's out here in Maine for a little
Zao Bootcamp, Zao Web3 Bootcamp.
he launched his first music NFT
So kind of a little bit of combo
guys can all check that out.
If you want to take a look at it, I believe Kendi snagged one.
You can take a look at it at jangouu.com.
They'll forward you to the third web page to buy it on Base ETH.
So I don't know if Django wants to share a little bit of what his plans are for those
10 people and two of the other things that he may have may or may have not uploaded
with that all right so basically with the third web nft um what you can find on tango to you so
jango.com um basically the nft is a the original demo of my first release song ever wide awake.
The very first demo I ever made that I mixed in audacity that I recorded on my phone with
an auto tune app that, um, that I still use to this day.
The app is fantastic for like recording on the go.
dope um but yeah like so basically that's the nft and for anyone who cops it i will send you
the official version the official wave file that's being released on spotify uh distribution
or excuse me streaming distribution platforms as well as the current version of the song that I have currently
mixed and re-recorded and whatnot back in November 2024, just because I felt like it.
Just because it was like, yo, I want to see how much better I've gotten in five years
and see if I could do this song the way i remembered it in my head
right and so i mixed it then i mastered it then you know and yeah like so for anyone who buys
the original nft um it's a 0.004 eth i believe um which should translate to about $10 USD. Yeah, there's only 10 left.
Or, excuse me, there's only 8 or 7 left, I think.
But the point is, if you get those, I will airdrop you personally the other two.
Basically, the other two are free.
All you have to do is get the first nft that's it
that's it and then that way you have all you can see just like pull yourselves like have it
like yo like the evolution it's like the change the growth you know so yeah um it was fun honestly
like mixing making those three songs is obviously the first time making it
2019 special moment like i remember that was the first song where i showed my friends and they're
like oh you can like make like real songs like because at that point i made a couple songs
they're like stupid gimmicky songs like they're like mostly funny right mostly just like um just like inside jokes about the
friend group and whatnot and like you know we all laughed at it right like it was fun right it was
fun um now granted i had also had been writing songs at that point for three years basically so
my a lot of my friends at the time just didn't understand like just how
how tapped into music i was at that point honestly i didn't even realize how
tapped and i wasn't at that point either um it was just something i just beat a lot um but
regardless i made that song pretty much July 4th.
Yeah, July 4th I made it.
And then I put it all together that July 5th.
And then I went to go hang out with my friends who had just drove down from upstate to hang out in the city for like a week.
So I showed them, well, i texted them the song while they were
driving and they blasted in the car and they were like oh like you you could structure a song like
like put together a song like like this is this is we we weren't expecting this like it feels like a song like actually there's an idea and it's like clear
and you know it it follows along and it's like not it's like properly timed and you're not off
key and you know like all the things that make like good music like able to be palatable in the
If it's like that type of music,
because obviously there's also like good music
that's like intentionally meant to like not be palatable,
not be immediately tolerable on first listen, right?
But I don't really think any new artist has a problem
making that type of music at at the start like that's probably
the easiest type of music to make because you don't know anything is you're just bad you know
um but at the time my friends like yo like this is this is good this is this is actually catchy
like what the hell um and so that was very important to me because that kind of was like
oh i can like actually like, I can do the thing.
I can do things with this music stuff.
Like, let's see what else I can do pretty much.
Um, but so that happened, that was very important.
And then seeing that song all the way through the first time when I officially released
it on February 20th, 2020,
like that was the second wave where it's like, whoa,
like I took it from this little phone recording I had where I like put the beat and the phone, the phone vocals and the beat together on Nasty.
So like I recorded it in the studio. I got it mixed.
I got it mastered. And like,
it sounds like other music I listen to, and I was
being played in front of, like, 300 people on a Thursday night, and, like, everyone's dancing,
and it's like, like, oh, wow, I didn't know my music could do all this either, right? And then
the third time was, like, going back, you know, because obviously there were a lot of things I wasn't all the way sold on.
But I also knew, like, when I was, like, making the official track, there were a lot of things about the sound.
I just didn't know how to explain to the engineer at the time because I was so new, right?
I was just lucky that he was good enough to do a good job anyway.
And for that, I'm actually super grateful. I didn't really know how to explain that tonally I was looking for something
that was clear enough to be heard, but wasn't bright and like sizzling.
like sizzling and um like i wanted the atmosphere and the um like like like like a like a roomy
ambient well not really ambient but like uh a roomy ethereal soundscape um i wanted the reverb
i wanted the the widening and stuff like that as opposed to like um a more radio ready crispy
polished type of sound like i wasn't really
looking for that at the time um but i didn't know how to express that right and so going back to it
for that third time was me doing that for myself because over the last five years i've learned that
ability to do that for myself and i was able to get a result that i was more than happy with um now
at this point it's been eight months since i mixed that version and i still like it i still think it's
good and usually it doesn't really go like that for me so yeah like i still enjoy it yeah so i'm i'm like i said the original nft is the original demo
that i made in july 5th or i made that i uh finished making on july 5th 2019 and then
you would get at once you buy that you get two free nfts you just have to um i'll be able to
send them to you via airdrop or whatever other means to the site on Third Web,
where basically you just get the official release version
that's still on streaming platforms to this day,
and the new version that I kind of like mix for myself.
So you could like call it a Django's version, if you will.
Like, you know, a Taylor's version for all her albums.
Django version better. So, if you will. Like, you know, Taylor's version for all her albums. Yeah, fuck that. Django version better.
Just exciting stuff, honestly.
Yo, appreciate you letting us know the history behind this stuff.
I was getting rugged in a mug.
I don't know what's going on. But, hey, we back. We back in this stuff. I was getting rugged in a mug. I don't know what's going on.
But, hey, we back in this thing.
Shout out to my G Rocky, bro.
And then we're going to get the battle started, bro.
Even though, hey, repost, retweet the space.
You know what I'm saying?
Let folks know the battle's going down.
Send to your mama, your daddy, your granny.
So, you know, we get some appreciation for our g django
up here but yeah man either way thank you for coming out we gonna rock it out we gonna vibe
to some vibes regardless rocky bro what's good how you feel you made a funny funny post i think
earlier today he was like this man has battled himself yeah that's right i like yeah that's
really what i came i came to see what's going on, man.
Like, I'm kind of confused because I only see one name in the title.
Like, I don't know, like, what's happening right now.
Like, I'm legit, like, is he battling himself?
Is there an opponent that y'all just like not acknowledging the opponent i'm i'm
i'm really trying to see what is happening is it is it like is it two yous because like you got
split personalities i don't know like i'm just i don't see nobody else up here so i'm i'm trying
to like i'm trying to figure out um what what is what is happening right now.
So please explain it to me.
Because I legit, I know how this works.
I was on the first episode.
So there was an opponent.
We played songs back and forth.
You know what I'm saying?
So I'm just, I'm here to see what's happening, man.
So, of course, we in the experimental phase, we trying stuff, we seeing, you know, what new things we can do with all this new battle format that we have.
And Zaw came up with a great idea he was like yo why don't we have Django come on and like tournament style battle his own music versus
each other so like essentially RG Django we came with eight songs and we essentially put it in a
bracket and we go you know bracket it down till we get to the quote-unquote finals where it's like
two of his top songs versus each other and just to see like what the Wave Wars fam fucks with the most out of his catalog.
Because, yeah, we can do artists versus artists all the time.
But it's like, yo, can we really like let's also branch out and, you know, get deeper
into each artist as well.
You know what I'm saying?
And that's what, you know, our goal is here, bro.
You know what I'm saying?
Could not. Hey, at the end of the day, we just trying stuff. We throwing, bro. Hey, could go great. You know what I'm saying? Could not.
Hey, at the end of the day, we just trying stuff.
We throwing stuff at the wall.
It's definitely creative.
I think, like, I would do something like that because, you know, like, my style is versatile enough where I got, like, you could probably, like, you could break up some of my categories, I mean, my songs into different categories and be like, yo, this is, like, songs that I make, like, for, like, love songs versus, like, breakup songs or some shit like that you know what i'm saying like or like i i see what y'all doing you know um so maybe you know sometime down the line maybe
i'll do something like that um i think that's cool this is interesting man
so like who does so like how do y'all announce to like the winner like who who wins like i don't
it's song versus song so it's like if you got two songs that come up in the in a particular round
is one song is gonna win over the other you know what i'm saying and it'll also be interesting to
see like what song the artist thinks is gonna win and what actually wins you know what i'm saying so yeah that'll be because i mean i i think in my opinion like if i was doing it i feel like
i in my opinion i know what the better song is you know what i'm saying so like that that would
be that would be interesting you know but i do have people like sometimes they be like
yo this is my favorite rocky song i think
like they knows they knows it's stuck on saying like he always be like the song that i did with
cali speedway he always says like yo that's the best rocky verse that that that i ever heard him
do and i'm like bro i very much beg to differ that is that is not the best Rocky Burst. You know what I'm saying? So, yeah, I see what you're saying.
We going to keep it up with the experience.
Like, this is just experiment number two.
But, yeah, we just going to keep trying stuff and, you know, see what works out and keep displaying our V2 tech.
We call it vibe trading tech.
I think that's a better way to put it. Shout out to the vibe trading tech i think that's a better better way to put
it shout out to the vibe trading tech and you know shout out to jango you know what i'm saying
let's see what you got bro let's get into this first round i feel like we've been talking our
ass off you know what i'm saying waiting to get things started let's get it started man let's get
the vibe started shout out to austin in the space i see you out here zach inkspire you feel me first
ever oh i just realized first ever live traded tournament song versus song battles.
Man, I don't even know what to call it, but hey, we out here.
Shout out to Candy, you feel me?
The originators in the building.
So, Django, what are the first two songs?
So, we're going to start with my origins, my origin stories, the things that made me the
So that battle is going to be between the fully powered up, maxed out stats versions, the Django editions of South of the City and Wide Awake.
Both of these songs I made before COVID hit.
South of the City was made while COVID was hitting.
But both of these songs were made before 2021. I'll give you that. I'll give
you that. And if I'm to be all the way real with myself, both of these songs were really made
before like June 2020. But basically both of these songs are indicative of where I was at that point
in my career, just figuring out how to be good melodically, how to be catchy, how to be infectious,
career, just figuring out how to be good melodically, how to be catchy, how to be infectious,
and how to set a vibe, right? I think Wide Awake was more about setting a vibe and having a general
experience of like, you know, how being wired off substances can feel, south of the city is way more storytelling and
just like an exercise in songwriting and arrangement um given the fact that it's way more
just like uh driven as far as like a tale like there's like there's an actual story that song specifically being about um
messing with a girl who was in a relationship at the time i was messing with her um come on bro
i'm just saying and look look look look the the twist is i didn't know
That's what they all say.
As in, I knew she had a man, and I knew I wasn't flirting with her.
I didn't know she was trying to put it on me like that.
Anyway, that's the twist.
The twist is, I was being a respectable young man who just assumed that my random Hispanic friend, which is hella touchy and would say kind of crazy things.
And I was like, oh, yeah, that's just the culture, man.
It's in the food they eat.
It's in the rice and beans and stuff, bro.
And all my friends are looking at me like oh yes the
rice and beans they eat it's not that maybe she want your rice and your beans i'm like no definitely
not definitely not but um yeah lo and behold i i found out differently that um i i was the goal. Anyways, before you incriminate
Zaw, where this music is going to come
is the song J.F. Bob ready?
I can have him come up and join.
And yeah, we're ready to rock on my end.
What do you mean I need to start this bass?
Bro, yeah, I'm ready to rock, bro.
Okay, okay, I see what you're saying now. Okay, bet, bet, bet, bet.
As soon as this comes up, it's just going to start playing the song.
So before I... No, it's not. to start playing the song. So before I.
Don't just start it randomly, bro.
I need you to start this battle.
Yeah, we're ready to rock.
What song we're starting off with?
Chill, bro. We got good vibes.
This is probably the last time I've been.
This was probably Django playing this live for the first time
and me experiencing connecting two individuals together for the first time.
It was probably the last time I blacked out during the three minutes that he performed this song.
And that's the only part of the night I don't remember, which is absolutely insane.
But that's just because it was literally we were just jumping around the whole time.
And I do remember that. I do remember vibes.
But yeah, no, Bangin' Song.
Django, you can talk more about it until Hurricane raises his hand.
Definitely bring it back.
I need to explain the Wave Wars vibe trading system, bro,
which is about to happen today as well because we're doing it on all our battles.
We don't care if it's a song versus song battles.
We don't care if it's your mama versus your mama battles.
And it's going down today.
And the way you go to it is by looking up at the pin tweets above my head right now you'll
be able to see exactly how both of those work both the wave wars vibe trading mechanism and
you know how we'll be judging today i will be the judge you know i'm saying i think i'm the best
qualified to to do that and then we'll also have our twitter space vote which anybody in twitter
space can participate in and then finally we'll have our Twitter space vote, which anybody in Twitter space can participate in. And then finally, we'll have our soul vote, which comes from our vibe trading system.
So make sure you read the rules as soon as you get to the website.
All you're going to do is go to waveboards.com.
And then click on the feature battle.
You're going to see Django's blue face.
Hey, man, we had a lot of jokes about Django's blue face.
But you'll see him there on the Featured Battle, and you just click that,
and then you'll be in that thing as soon as I tell you that the Featured Battle is up.
So that's what's going on.
Zaw says the music is ready.
Is the Song Jam Bot coming?
Bro, if you don't just start it and trust me that the song jam bot is
coming and uh and just rock it out why don't you give me a co-host so i can also accept it
um and then we'll rock it out um because yeah no i uh i i can have it ready but like you said
she goes away if you don't call on her so she'll get upset she'd be getting mad bro oh my god yeah that's
probably yeah oh low low here we go let me give you co-host uh the battle's about to start though
so that's fine i'm ready to rock if we gotta go 10 minutes on waveboards.com setting the feature battle in three.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Man, my copy and pacing skills are not vast, bro.
Let me set this as a featured battle.
Just a quick update for everybody.
With Song Jam, it cuts out.
It buffers audio every 15 seconds.
So if you hear pauses in the music that are seemingly every 15 seconds,
I did not produce or mix a song like that. That's just how it came out to be on Song Jam DJ.
but obviously not perfect, but
hey, hey, we do what we can,
right? Maybe one day Elon will
Yo, yo, shout out Elon. It's up
as a feature battle right now. You can
now live trade on wayforz.com
Poor enough, we tryna age, tryna take away the taste
Mary Jamie Rowland, smellin' that's the time to be
Out of body, mind space, take us to another place
Couple grains of 4G, and I'm black and label made
Swimmin' all within the drank, yeah we, yeah we
Sippin' on that Joe's tea, raspberry lemonade
Fireball and Anise, sip I'm finna float away
I can't even go to sleep, tired but I'm wide awake
Mary Kay, slippin slipping on that perry egg
Saying that they know me, but I say it's kinda fake
Wonder why they tryna play, thinking while I'm tryna lay
I can't even go to sleep tired but I'm wide awake
Bitches on me parricade, slipping on that perry egg
Know a nigga poppin', poppin', poppin', chang' up in the topic
Treat me like I'm hot shit
When they mobbin' with us Then forgot he was us, ain't nobody to trust
Copping copies of us, just a hobby for us, he's just dragging the bus
Ain't shocking or none, that they rocking with us, people flying to us
Now you crawl in the sun, I ain't stopping for none
Sippin' on that Joe's tea, raspberry, lemonade
Fireball, I had a sip, I'm finna float away
I can't even go to sleep, tired, but I'm wide awake
Bitches on me parry-k, sippin' on that parry-k
Sayin' that they know me, but I see it's kinda fake
Don't know why they tryna play, thinkin' what I'm tryna lay
I can't even go to sleep tryna play Thinking while I'm tryna lay
Slippin on that parry, yeah
Shorty be a best, she my side hoe
Cruising through my tags tryna slide though
Ooh, kippins on my neck going high
I'm pros, lookin fly though though, I'm in flat mode
Fireballs, pretty little things like a micro
Zippin' fado, I know that it's ice cold
Cause I'm sippin' on a Joe's tea, raspberry, lemonade
Fireball or anise, sippin' finna float away
I can't even go to sleep, tired, popin' wide awake
Kishas on me, parry-k, lippin' on that peri, yeah
Sayin' that they know me, but I say it's kinda fake
Don't know why they tryna play, thinkin' while I'm tryna live
I can't even go to sleep tired but I'm wide awake
Bitches on me parricades, lippin' on that peri, yeah That was wide awake, right?
Yo, that was wide awake. I was wide awake i was wide awake y'all um how did it sound for y'all how did it sound
for y'all because over here it sounded pretty pretty pretty rough i heard like a lot of like
random clipping um like the distortion noises like um bro relax relax relax we cool on that
you know what i'm saying like we understand that the integrity of on that you know what i'm saying like we understand that the
integrity of the song you know what i'm saying so hey shit was i definitely i definitely agree
with you on that so so i hear i hear you on that end but i'm not sure if it's the dj app or if it's
maybe spaces because after the song ended and you started talking again, Hurricane, it kept going.
And I'm like, I don't know.
That's why I have to ask.
Man, you know, the charts are so strange to me, bro.
I'm wondering how your other song, which hasn't even played yet, already got 0.2 soul on it.
While the song you did play.
That was the song you played.
South of the city with zero soul on it.
Put your soul behind whatever music you're filling in your soul on waveboards.com.
You know what I'm saying?
So yeah, shout out to Django.
I already earned 0.2 soul on that one.
Django gets 1% of every trade.
So yeah, let's support our artists
and vibe trade and vibe as well.
That's at waveboards.com.
It's about three minutes and 33 seconds left.
So let's get into this last song
so folks know what's going down.
You know what I'm saying?
So do you got the next one ready?
I believe it's South of the City by Django.
Can I ask some questions?
While the song jammed about getting ready, what's up?
Yeah, I just want to ask something.
Can we just go for your freestyle? Nah, not right now, bro? I just want to ask something. Can we go workout? Can we just go for your freestyle?
This is a Django battle, bro.
Maybe at the end, but not right now.
We're in the middle of the battle.
We about to go south of the city.
This is it. I'm not gonna be a little bit I'm not gonna be a little bit I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit
I'm not gonna be a little bit I'm not gonna, you dance on me, we feeling this But hold up, what you mean by this?
Come back with me, uh, back with me, uh, back with me
A few weeks ago, relations were different
And we always were in love
And I want a mile, but I never know
She hit it from the surface
Feel on my glove, She said she ain't perfect
Stop to the city she don't have a hubby
Stop to the city she can't help her buzzin'
Two tequila, two lava suckin'
I saw a sign of her he won't discover
She gave me life, won't start off her nothin'
Say we can't let the time waste
Still on the gas, fast on the highway
Half hour past, she snatched, relax me
And a little smile, Rapunzel's right, rolling
No cameras, but silos, but silos, the side note
Get busy, she wiped out, you feel me?
Space out of the city, can't hide all the of the city Can't hide all the liggies
Can't hide all the history
She's so high, close those
Me here this weekend, come in free
She keeps saying she loyal
But then she, she living Why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, why, but is she, she with me? Why does it flicker for now?
I was talkin' too much, what the hell got in me, in me?
Shut up, spawning story 4, I'm doin' dope nights, dizzy, dizzy, dizzy, dizzy
When the punishment sale, truth to ourselves, yeah, yeah
Keepin' in scales, singin' in bells, yeah, yeah
One of them nights, blurring a lot, your rung was right, yeah
Tell me all night, go and judge your fur
Can't act like I'm Yahweh
Though tonight I'm about to hurt
Staying low and I'm the way
Till the waves right to surf
I before the light of day
Ain't a thing left on the scene
Double pack to grab the shirt
Quiet ass, quiet, it can be Better matters, understand it, dance with better
Slash, no cameras, for Zyros, for Zyros, the Zyko, get busy, she wiped out, you feel me?
Stay south of the city, can't hide all the vickies, can't hide all the history of sinning, of living
I'm on one, so why, the zone I was so right,'s so wild, I close those, get your soul, so no no, sick list, just me, this weekend, come with free, she keeps saying she loyal, but if she, she really, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm lost the way she's leaning in, find us why don't need a sip, I don't believe she could kiss, I'm a girl, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a star, I need a sip, I don't want my chica kiss Crawling out the strata, I'm flowing off the river, but it's
Trace a vicious scene, nicks, drinks another three or six
Nothing's up with a heart, we're trying to
Just enough to feel it, hey
Here's how we are feeling, babe
That's how we are feeling, babe
Number one, know what you need
Rest away, come back with me
Come back with me, back with me, back with me.
yo you crashed on that one bro i give you that one for real bro that was a vibe and you know
rightfully so the charts also reflect the same thing.
South of the city by Django is going to take the sole vote.
And it was pretty drastic, bro.
We got .17 sole against .05 sole.
So it was about doubly as good according to the sole vote, bro.
Yeah. soul for me so it was about doubly as good according to the soul vote yeah
to be honest with that i'm not i'm low-key not that surprised but at the same time
like shout out wide awake you know like you don't you don't you know like i wouldn't have
i wouldn't have south of the city without wide awake. So even though South of the city did better, you know, like if South of the city is like,
like, you know, just like Gen Z, like wide awake, wide awake is like the grandfather,
you know, like, that's like super on like, you know, that's like 1800s, like, you know,
but you got to get the 1800s to the current generation, right?
Shout out everyone who voted
battling versus myself, right?
I'm not surprised by that result
you can't have one without the other.
You can have Wide Awake without South of the City, but you can't have one without the other you know you can have wide
awake without south of the city but you can't have south of the city without wide awake
that's how i see it i feel it bro thank you for sharing your music with us i also got a couple
dms from austin talking about some cosm wasm bro i'm really I don't even understand fully what's being said. But if you want to come up and explain a little more, definitely feel free to do that.
But I also see M3 up in the space.
The tech, the super tech up in the space.
I see Inspire AJ, Zach in the space.
Tell this man Zaw to come back, bro.
He's supposed to be co-hosting this space.
And, you know, he's supposed to be handling the-
Yo, don't worry, don't worry.
We're going to get Zaw back ASAP.
Yo, Zaw, hop back in the space so you can co-host.
Zaw, what the heck are you doing, bro?
Basically, what happened was he got off his computer, and he's on his phone now, and I
actually might do the same.
So, my sound quality is definitely going to be worse, guys.
However, I would like to also enjoy the song DJ,
which seems to be way better on the phone
as opposed to on the internet.
So, yeah, I would also, you know, I mean like low key, like I don't really need to.
Cause like I made these songs, right?
Like I hear these songs, like, like I wake up some mornings and like one of these songs
So like, I already know what my stuff sounds like, but at the same time, it's like, I would
like to enjoy it with y'all.
So I might hop off and come back on from my phone.
If you want to do that, do that now because we're about to talk to Austin real quick.
So please post the Twitter poll for that first round so, you know, folks can vote if they in the space.
And then, yeah, we're going to figure out which of these songs was the winner today.
Austin, appreciate you for coming up on the stage in the meantime.
I saw some DMs from you talking about connecting and some Kamazamaz.
Nah, I just, before I talk about that, I enjoy what you guys are doing here.
It's a pleasure to be here on the first one you guys are
hosting on the event it's a really awesome idea um i i'm i'm not an active like a solana user so
it'll take me about an hour and a half to set up everything and get over there but um
yeah all i was mentioning was um it was just like uh cosm wasum it's just smart yeah yeah yeah
awesome if you download phantom right now i will send you ten dollars in solana to bat
to trade on the next battle all right but you know what i'll do that i can't fucking
um i'll be dumb if i denied that let me do it right now. But hell yeah, I appreciate that.
That's support that, you know, I respect, you know,
because like we, yeah, projects, leaders, we got,
we do have this, like, there's a balance
between creating this expectation
of like doing everything ourselves
and then kind of like incentivizing, you know,
people who support us to kind of like, kind of like incentivizing you know people who support us to
kind of like kind of like get out of their box and get creative and like get uncomfortable so
yeah i appreciate that and i will um do that but yeah cosmoism is just another smart contract
language and it's like used in over it's like dozens and dozens of different blockchains so um it was just i was just extending an invitation to i guess pour
over the um the i guess the wave wars like trading market contracts into cosmosms so that you can
like integrate like native multi-chain support so if like artists are comfortable within one
ecosystem they can like you know deploy that trading like system once like wherever they're most comfortable with um and kind of like
dissolve the uh illusion of choice that we it's not limited to just one project right it's kind
of like you know i i think like yeah yeah it's just like we're in crypto and these communities and these apps that we are using really just like the cryptographic algorithms that they use really defines like the personal identities of what crypto communities were a part of.
So like by creating an app that has like multiple different options, you're kind of like inviting and creating like a safe space for all these different types of communities so i just wanted to extend that offer to you uh you guys and bit song is like a project
that i work with like i you know informally i see the vision so um yeah i'd be happy to help
and like connect with like the founder and everything but yeah no that's it i'm sorry
to interrupt and this like fucking techie ass halftime show. But, yeah, I appreciate the space.
Appreciate you coming through, man.
It's been good seeing you pop in here and there, you know, and definitely in this space.
And, yeah, we definitely for the nerd stuff, bro.
We definitely for the nerd stuff, bro.
But, yeah, I'm going to look into what you're talking about, you know, as soon as we, you know, get off the space and get to relaxing and whatnot.
Because, yeah, that stuff kind of got my brain turning, bro.
Like, interoperability would all change, bro.
But, yeah, in the meantime, though.
I have a question. What's up? What's yeah, in the meantime, though. I have a question.
What are we doing for the poll?
Because we don't have a human judge yet.
Yeah, because I don't know who's going to be here, the whole space,
or whatever, unless somebody else would like to be the human judge.
Or so I thought. I'll judge shit be the human judge. Or so I thought.
I mean, I'll give you my judge right now.
I guess Austin is the human judge.
So does it even matter that I can't bring up the poll for some reason?
Yeah, so I guess we don't need the poll for this round because that's two for South of the City, man.
Two votes for South of the City.
Therefore, South of the City is going to take round one and is going to move forward in the tournament bracket.
Hey, I hope you keep track in the tournament bracket.
I was a wide awake believer, so, you know.
We win some, we lose some,
but we live to fight another date.
Shout out that guy from Friday, you know what I'm saying?
I was going to say, yeah,
let's keep the tournament bracket, you know,
stable because, you know, I be forgetting stuff.
I don't know if y'all got, like, a sheet
of the tournament bracket around y'all,
but definitely remember that.
South of the city is the winner.
It's going on to the semifinals.
What's the next two songs you got?
All right, so we're going to start with, now we're going to move on, we're going to move on a bit into the future, right? We're going to move on into, you know, just like the world where, you know, we're now more machine than humans, right? I guess that's low-key now. People got credit card chips
in their fingertips and stuff nowadays.
We got AI doing everything for us now.
that's the only thing they should be doing.
make these pieces way more
electronic. Put it like that.
The idea with both of these songs is that...
Yeah, well, I'm gonna give Django a second to write up the bracket.
I just gave him a piece of paper.
We're gonna send it as whatever piece of paper he sends and whatever he writes up
so you guys have an idea of what we got in store.
We're gonna be doing six rounds today four of the preliminary round and then we're gonna also
rock out uh the semifinals and the semifinals yeah exactly i guess it is just the semifinals
so yeah i'm i'm excited there's a a couple songs like i have a lot of my time listened to Django music.
And some of these songs are the first time I'm hearing them.
So it's really exciting to do that.
So because, you know, like Django said, you remixed a couple of these.
So that's really exciting.
Even if it's just like the Spotify version I would play, you know,
some of these are different.
So it's kind of interesting to see the subtle differences.
So what are the next two songs?
All right, so the next two songs, like I said, I'm taking y'all into the future where we're more machine than humans.
You know, we're going to be way more electronic. And so we're going into
my most recent EP release, The Synth Rock Concept Volume 1, which was really just like a demonstration
of an idea that I've been having since about 2021, if not low-key earlier. Like, realistically, probably around the time
when I, like, first made South of the City
was when I really started thinking about beats like these
and productions like these and this type of sound.
I had a friend who made EDM music.
Well, we don't call him a friend no more.
I knew somebody who made EDM music.
Yeah, much better, much better. I knew somebody who made EDM music. Yeah, much better, much better.
I knew somebody who did that type of stuff.
And I was like, oh, awesome.
And I would try to explain to him with a limited amount of knowledge and just general jargon that I had at the time.
Because I was, at this point, still pretty new to, I wasn't new to making music at this point, but I was
new to being able to explain it to other people in a way that they could understand.
Now, granted, this guy definitely understood what I was looking for and just actively refused
and just actively refused to do it.
There were a whole myriad of other reasons
why I ended up not liking this person.
Some of the reasons being kind of related to South of the City,
but we're not going to talk about that right now.
There's no need to get into that right now.
I actually wrote a song about that as well,
but we do not need to play that song.
And even though that song is, quite frankly, one of my best songs that's ever made in my life, I will not just willingly, willy-nilly show that song.
some dark stuff i'm not gonna lie i'm not gonna lie some dark stuff like part of being an artist
is just like if you write stuff that's really really personal like you run the risk of just
yourself up for like months on end after the fact right um like emotionally mentally even physically
like i i got sick physically um after writing that song um and i felt weird for a couple days after and then like mentally and emotionally
i'm still not over it honestly so um with that in mind basically you want to make these edm beats
and because of that i was starting to look for it and it got the desire for it got more and more
intense only as time went on.
Because I kept meeting great producers and like producers who really knew their stuff, who really worked good at their craft,
who I liked and had songs with them and made songs with them and, you know,
enjoyed making music with them. But it wasn't exactly what I wanted.
I knew I was looking for like this weird type of electronic,
like borderline industrial, industrial dance music type of beat.
And then I found this random kid from Amsterdam, New Netherlands.
And at the time, he was like, what, 20?
It was my 23rd birthday um i got this b-pack from this kid
he's just like dm me he was small at the time he had under a thousand followers i had under a
thousand followers i actually have i remember i followed him first because he had done some work
for another producer that i liked um but basically
it was the bc set yo yo i was screaming i was lit i was watching in my room by myself at like
9 a.m in the morning right and these two songs are from that era dual wield and sunrider so
without any further notice fire round oh yeah without any further notice. Yeah, let's go do a fire round. Oh, yeah. Without any further notice, y'all.
All right, we're going to start with dual wields.
Now I got to type these in.
You know what I'm saying?
Honestly, so I already sent you the brackets.
But also, like, we didn't have enough time for the last of the other songs.
So, like, you should just start it during this song, and we should start it.
I feel like that would be better, personally.
Just because we didn't even get to the end of the last song.
All right, yeah, you're right.
We call it Sunrider, right?
Sunrider and Dual Wield, yes.
I wasn't here when the space started.
Are these songs all from Django?
So you're fighting yourself.
I'm literally fighting myself, right?
I'm literally fighting myself.
My profile picture is literally
me staring in the mirror.
Mine's a bear, if you couldn't tell.
That kind of bear is that.
It's a two-bit bear. Two-bit bear, bro.
I digress. Let's get some beats going.
Here it comes. Here it comes.
And we started dual-wield.

music you feel in your soul whatever song got more soul is the winner of the soul vote.
So yeah, it's getting lit out here.
Let's hear this next song.
Five minutes and 23 seconds left
That's waveboards with a Z

super killer God candle on Sunrider and we ain't even played the song yet. I think they know what's coming, yo. We got Sunrider at .09 soul now. Let's get to this song, bro. Let's see how it goes down. 1% of every trade goes to RG. Django, who's coming together with this music for this round today. So yeah, let's hear it, bro. Let's hear that
Sunrider by Django UU. Yeah, to the flow now, drop them broke down
Locking lone chrome pedals on their neck, yeah

When you face the truth, will you embrace it?
Let me get a fence with this
Like them baddies who finesse and licks
And they ain't trying to ban the bitch
Latents, which I'm vanishing I was feel proud of that problem I was feel proud of that problem they ain't tryin' to ban the bitch We're taking off the bench still, maintenance, which I'm fan I'm a fan of shit
I live for the pride, I bet it's all about me
I ain't got it for you, but it ain't cause you want to buzz
And then you got me acting like, what the fuck
And then you got me acting like, what the fuck
I know where we try to start
I'm a fan of my heart, but I'm a one-one
I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it
I ain't got it, I ain't got it
I ain't got it for you, but it ain't cause you want to buzz
I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it
I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it
I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't got it, I ain't Yeah, the beat is bubbled us. The beat is bubbled, y'all.
And the charts, bro, definitely reflected it.
That was dope watching the charts go up during the whole song, bro.
Sunrider has now taken the lead by uh about about 0.02 soul so anything can
really happen in this last minute bro anything can really happen in this last minute of 30 seconds
whichever song comes out with more soul on it is the winner of the soul vote and you know the 50
percent yeah 40 percent of the's soul goes to the winners.
So it's high stakes out here.
Very, very close right now.
It is very, very close right now with Sunrider on top, bro.
Django, which one do you think is going to take this in the last 50
I'm not going to hold you. I thought
Dewan was going to win fairly easily.
yo, it's even closer now. It's so
What? Oh my god, yo, it's even closer now. It's so close, bro.
Yo, Sunrider just took a little... Oh my god!
Dual Wheel just came up right up next to it.
Bro, I've never seen something this close.
I thought Dual Wheel 1 was like,
God candle for Duel Wheel!
That was one of the craziest
I always forget that, like,
new Spotify account, because
obviously I have an old Spotify account,
account, like, I got a bunch of songs out, but, like, on my new spotify account like i got a bunch of songs out but like on my new one
sunrider is by like by a really large margin like the best streaming song i have currently
right like people the thing is i know dual wield has that all about it for lack of a better term like it's just like it's kind of just easier to
follow along the the emotion and the theme of it i feel like sunrider's kind of wild and that like
it's kind of hard to really tell what the hell i'm even doing on it but i think that's like part of
the appeal right because it's not that people who like dual Wheel don't like Sunrider. It's that
I am a little, personally, a little surprised
that it was as close as it was.
But it really wasn't until the end
where somebody was just like,
fuck it, bro. We put in this
god candle for dual wield
that it took it over the top.
But other than that, bro, it was the closest I've
ever seen, bro, in all of our
Wave Wars battles. I'm really interested
to see what the poll says.
I don't know if you're able to do the poll,
Zol, and I'm also interested to see what Austin says. I can do it if you're able to do the poll uh zol but and i'm also
interested to see what austin says he's already i can do it but i can't pin it up interesting so
you're gonna need to check out uh under the comment in a second all right that's fun that
was a lot of fun now so i just uh uh claimed or withdraw all my tokens i'm i just i mean you guys
have probably said this a dozen times please forget my ignorance but how does like the funds liquidity go does it go to the
people who are participating does it go to the artist like yes bro i'm so glad you asked so now
we can tell folks how this thing works so essentially every trade one percent goes to the
artist so like uh let's say in this battle in particular, Jango's the only artist.
So for every trade, 1% goes to him. But if there were two artists versus each other, let's say you
voted on one artist chart, 1% of those trades would go to that artist. And then let's say you
voted on another, the other artist chart, 1% of those trades would go to that other artist.
And then at the end of the battle, where things get really interesting,
is that 50% of the loser's pool gets split as such.
5% to the winning artist, 3% to wave wars, and then 2% to the losing artist.
And then the other 40% gets added to the winner's pool,
And then the other 40% gets added to the winner's pool.
And everybody who put their soul on the winner splits that soul in proportion to how many of the winner's tokens they hold.
Yeah, that's really cool.
So it's kind of like an ephemeral liquidity pool where it's not like forever.
for for the release party essentially that's really okay fire our whole thing i had fun i had
fun watching the charts it was it was really fun and i was also like uh a bit like i was a bit
concerned about i guess like survivor biased and i guess it's not like the right term, but like the, the, the, uh,
song that played first, right.
May not get as much votes as if you played the song second,
but then I realized that there's links to both songs in the UI and there's
also a timeline. So we're not like, like locked in.
So playing any specific sequence, you can kind of just like
browse as you want so i think that's really really nice because there is no like bias in that regard
so not this is really fun the goal is to have like a permissionless d app that anyone online
could jump in like her kids been envisioning this world where we're streaming it and anyone
can pop in online and and like you said they don't necessarily need to listen in they just need to know that at this time we're gonna start the
battle they can pop in they can listen to both songs and they can bet as they want um without
necessarily having to be a part of the thing but that just adds that extra layer right um and
especially being able to come up like this so we're we're excited to have you up here excited to talk more about uh what you were talking about earlier with
Cosmossom and uh just uh still got me here so I popped you in that uh group chat and we'll
definitely chat more cheers cheers yo yo it's getting hot out here it's getting hot out here
so take off all your Jango's.
I don't know where I was going with that.
But either way, yo, Jango, bro, it's time for round three.
Is it about to be as heated as what we just experienced, bro?
Because my heart was kind of pumping on that bitch, bro.
I'm going to take y'all on a little bit of a range trip right now because
you know, you could say like
just, oh, it's just trap music.
yeah, I'm not going to do
I'm not going to just play
trap music, alright? So, um,
songs that I would like to put
they just need some additional
to be releasable, in my opinion.
Not that they don't sound finished, they sound
finished now, but, like, I just wanna, like, do some
more production, um, and things just want to do some more production
differentiate itself well enough
and have it really be something
I would say the closest thing to both of these songs
I would say it's like pop, folk, R&B and then would say one is like, like, I would say it's like pop folk R&B and then
the other one is like way more traditional, like, like that modern R&B type of texture.
But yeah, much, I'd say like R&B hip hop for the other one.
But yeah, like both of these are
Wait, I'm so sorry, Dingo.
the voting for the last round.
We didn't even finish the voting for the last round. We didn't even finish the voting for the last round.
Because Austin never made his pick.
And we never got the poll, bro.
But, yo, now you know what's now.
Both got the preview or whatnot.
So, hey, Zaw, you have the poll here in the comments.
Bro, let me pin this thing to the top, bro.
So it looks like it's going to come down to Austin, bro.
No, I sent another one if you want to do it because you didn't pin it up to the top, bro.
Okay, okay, okay. That's cool.
That's cool. But Austin, we still need your vote,
bro. We still need what you're
thinking and which side you've chosen.
Damn, there's too much pressure
which, what's the name of it?
I thought it was Sunrider.
But I don't want to be the guest voter anymore.
I got a meeting here in three minutes.
So it's all coming down to the Twitter poll vote, bro. It's all coming down to the Twitter my vote. That's a bet. That's a bet. So it's all coming down to the Twitter poll vote, bro.
It's all coming down to the Twitter poll vote.
I don't know if it's all spinning.
And Austin, if you leave before we are finished, thank you so much for being the guest judge out here and vibing with us, man.
Thank you so much, Austin.
Thank you guys. Yes, sir. best of blessings thank you guys thank you guys yeah yes sir
that's the blessings on your meeting and yeah we gotta have a meeting too especially on this
cosmoism stuff i figured out what's going on with all that but yeah shout out to shout out to jango
man with the heat of tracks man we still going crazy i don't see the pole, bro. Zal, where's the poll? Bro, it's there. Am I blind?
Sorry, so it's under the other poll.
Oh, it's under the other poll.
So it's in the replies of the replies, but I'm going to pin it up to the top.
This is the official poll.
You know what I'm saying? Because last one, we only had three votes on that thing.
So everybody, this is your chance.
If you ever wanted to make a difference in a Wave Wars battle in your life
and tell your mom and tell your dad that you made the difference,
So pick which one you vibing with, whether it's Sunrider,
whether it's Dual Wheel, let us know.
And that's going to be the one that takes away the winning vote.
Candy is up here on stage.
Candy, yo, did you survive that last round?
I survived the last round, yes.
Um, but what I was going to say, though, is you know what is so much fun about Wave Force is that not only the music and the, you know, all the other good things, but, like, you can actually influence the charts, which is so cool, because, like, normally, like, okay, you go to a meme coin, and you're like, oh, yeah, I just did this trade, now let's watch the candles.
But what I was going to say, though, is you know what is so much fun about Wave Force?
I just did this trade, now let's watch the candles.
And like your candles don't mean anything
because they're like baby candles compared to wave,
I mean, so like, it's so nice to be able to be like,
hey, I'm gonna actually make a difference in this chart
and then see it, you know, and like every reaction
and all that, like, honestly, like, dopamine hit after dopamine hit.
It's just, it's fun to participate.
So, and it's nice also, too, that like any money that I do lose is going to Django or the artist.
Because I can't even go, you know, downtown and see a band and have a drink for less than like 20 bucks or 100 if you're in New York.
So it's just nice to like have a lot of excitement wherever you are.
But yeah, no, it's fun to influence the charts because you can never do that with meme coins or with any other coins.
But anyways, that's all I had to say.
God bless you. I feel you candy unless you
james went out here or you know i'm saying he's 100 million dollar month i feel you yo but yeah
definitely definitely glad you had fun and yes one percent of every trade goes to jango for
providing us with this fire experience with this fire music and you know at the end of the day everybody wins in some form or fashion because we vibe it so i see your hand up bro what's the word
so seeing as though we're at 9 30 i am making a proposal now that web3candy is up here to our
wave warriors committee that we push the round two off to
the very beginning of that 24-hour
rock it out because I think that'll
be a lot of fun. Agreed, agreed.
Or we could do it on Thursday, too.
No, no, no. I love your semifinals
idea. We'll do the semifinals?
No, no, no. I know, but I was saying
we can either do it on Friday just before
the finals, 24 hours, or we can do it on Thursday and then also do Friday, but I was saying we can either do it on Friday just before the finals, 24 hours,
or we can do it on Thursday and then also do Friday.
But that'll also be a lot.
Friday before the finals.
That way we do the semifinals, and then the finals is like the end of the space.
You know what I'm saying?
Okay, so let's just do 6 or like 7 p.m.
We'll start the semifinals.
And then whatever 24 hours after that is, I guess.
In the meantime, though, we're still in the whatever is before the semifinals.
What do people call this?
Tell me how that came to my brain so fast.
We're actually on round three, but hey,
you know what I'm saying? I get what you're saying.
you can talk about... Oh, wait. Is the poll
over? Hold up, hold up. Let me make sure the poll's
over. Bro, what the heck is this,
guys? What the heck is this?
Yo. The poll is tied, bro. What the heck is going on?
Let's see if Sea Africa wants to make our final decision.
If Sea Africa heard the two songs.
I don't think he heard the two songs. He came in kind of late. You know what I'm saying?
So we hate to put this pressure on you.
yo. Which one is taking it home?
I can jam to both of them.
But honestly, like, Dual Wield is going to do it for me.
Because that one is like, I can rock out to that.
And I still haven't figured out 100% of all the lyrics.
But I definitely like that. It definitely got a good vibe to it.
Sorry, I didn't give it a little re-preview.
Song Jam DJ going crazy over there.
It's like when I need to get shit done, I put on dual wields.
It's such a fire gym song, y'all.
If you ain't been under the bench press with that hoe, bro, I'm telling you, bro, you sleep.
You're missing out on about, like, 10 pounds of gains.
You don't even know how it is to clean up Legos in this song.
Like, you just throw them.
You just put them in their place.
You're like Mega Bloks, Duplo, Little Legos, like everything in your place.
Magnetiles, everybody in your spot.
Bro, the versatility is crazy.
Hey, Dual Wheels is a rightful winner.
If you hating on it, I'm sorry.
But, yo, let's get to the next round.
Song Jam DJ, where you go? I know I was just playing with you. God damn.
Either way, yo, let's get to the next round.
What are the two songs that's coming in for next round?
Cause I ain't even on cat, bro. I cannot read your handwriting in this bracket.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down, bro. Slow down.
And now this has become the spelling bee.
Nah, that sounds like one of his crushes or something.
Okay, you wouldn't know because you don't drink like that.
So I get it. But it's like a liqueur. Oh, have you... Okay, actually, you wouldn't know, because you don't drink like that, so I get it, but
She's kidding me on that already?
imagine you probably served a bunch of Amaretto's as well.
Okay, we're only halfway through this and it's been an hour and a half.
Yeah, let's go, let's go.
We gotta rock these thoughts two rounds out.
What's the name of the other song?
Do you guys get this song?
What is it called? Cigs song? Cigarettes Inside. What is it called?
Cigs Inside or Cigarettes Inside.
That's one I could not read, bro.
I think Sea Africa is trying to say something.
the songs are they on spotify um these two no yeah but everything else is
these two aren't on spotify but everything else i'm on spotify

We only speak to song jam
I was going to say, honestly,

You can't text too many times.
You know what I'm saying?
She'll be like, yo, what the heck?

Back and forth with dough, I ought to be pumping
Talking about I'm emotionally stunning
I think it's funny all the stories you run with
Ooh, assumptions, assumptions, conclusions, you jumping
I'm cause a guy, there's a woman cause the way you be judging
You say I'm crazy, you love it
I see a face you feel bubbly
Bluttering you up, baby, bet you want it When you say you hate me, you know I'm crazy, you love it I see your face, you be bubbly Too sweet, too resistant Bluttering you up, baby, bet you want it
When you say you hate me, you know I'm playing flawless
Wanna hear out how I feel my feelings ugly
Inviting me into your walls, I ain't letting y'all in
Rather clown if I would fuck around, not to cover
You see me running circles around you, what you call it
Fluid flowing like water, turning all your faucets
Trauma taught me otherwise, baby's really some
Baby's really Heart paired up Heart paired up Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Desire to be close to them
I promise a must I'll maintain my emotions
I'm whispering to the spot
This amaretto got us feeling like yo, loose chains
But baby, bet you want it
When you say you hate me, know I'm playing flawless
Wanna hear how I feel, my feelings ugly
Inviting me into your walls, I ain't let it all in
Rather clown if I don't fuck around, not a cover
See me running circles around you, how'd you call it?
Fluid flowing like water turning all your fuses
Thomas taught me otherwise, babies really suck
Babies really nuts, babies really nuts
You say don't trust me, that's what the looks you give me
When you're rolling out, you ain't getting up
Fruit enough, with the last month
Hurt it turned up, hurt it turned up
Fruit enough, with the last month
Hurt it turned up, hurt it turned up All right, we got one minute left. Let's play the other song. That was Amaretto. Now we playing
Six Inside. It is very close right now. Amaretto got 0.06 soul on it.
And six inside got 0.02 soul on it.
And we got 44 seconds left on the wave wars.

At this point, I'm like the youngest one of my friends
We can barely hear you, Jango
How about now? There you go in my room. Everyone else is like... Wait, wait, wait. We can barely hear you, Django.
So basically, six inside, or six outside technically is what it's called. I'm gonna be honest,
I don't even remember half the titles,
bro. Like, I just make stuff.
I stepped aside for like a little a date break or whatever um and it was like a rooftop bar right and there was this woman out there this young woman
and she was like fine she was like we were also yeah right and i was me and my friends, her and her friends, and I'm, like, the youngest of my friend group
by, like, a pretty decent margin.
Like, the next youngest guy is, like, three years older than me, right?
And I was 24 at the time.
So, like, I'm, like, whatever, right?
A couple of her friends are, like, 23, 24.
I'm, like, cool, whatever, right?
But who I was talking to,
you know, we didn't know.
I'm going to find out. Like, you know,
she wouldn't be like, oh, yo, by the way, I'm 19 years old. I'm like,
wait, how are you here right now?
Like, but the thing was, the thing
Because the thing, she was
mine. Ain't nobody was going
You know what I'm saying?
Like, no, and like, not like a, just like, I don't know.
It's just like she was a very tall woman.
And like, wasn't even like doing all that crazy or doing all that much.
I was like, all right, whatever. Right. But like, of course, with that, with that being said, it's like no one, no one was going to stop her at the club.
Right. Because all clubs will always accept women if they can, if they have a decent thing.
have a decent fake right so with that being said like i just wrote a little song about that
Right. So with that being said, I just wrote a little song about that.
so i was just like yo you try to put me in jail and i ain't trying to go to jail and yeah nah i'm
good off that i'm i'm very good off that i like my freedom i love being a civilian you know so
okay i uh have the poll up in the comments if you want to pin that up, Hurricane, as well.
And we can get to voting as well and see if anyone else wants to pop up.
I'm looking in the comments right now.
Shout out to AJ with the vibes.
But wait, I don't see the poll in the replies.
I don't know if I'm tripping.
I don't know if I'm slipping.
I don't know if I'm dipping.
It's open. It's open to conversation.
Yeah, I see it there. Let me vote.
What the heck is going on, bro?
I just voted now. Wow, what a great guy.
Oh, I see it now. I see it.
Oh, wow. Now you're telling
everybody your vote, man.
All good, all good. But're telling everybody your vote, man. All good. All good.
You feel me? On the Wave Wars vote.
On the Wave Wars.com vote.
We have Emma Reddo who came away with the win.
Now we're about to see who's going to go down with the poll.
And the judge, which would be Candy.
I don't know if Candy wants to be the judge.
Candy, do you want to be the judge?
I can be a judge. I'm good. I can be a judge.
We played both songs already, though.
Yeah, we already played both. We already played both.
Oh, man, this is going to be hard.
I mean, it was, I heard a line from, I think, Siga, where he said,
I think God is a woman by the way he judged.
Did you say that for real jaco
what did you what did i what were you thinking man i mean i mean look look look look i know
smoking is bad i know smoking is bad but but look we all got our own vices and actually that's
no i i smoked you i smoked you i smoked too, I smoked too, I'm not judging you, I'm not judging but
that line, that verse, that particular line was mad.
What you're hearing this club, excuse me, what you're hearing this club,
excited by the Lifestyle Cigarette Restaurant, will you smoke white so red?
I don't know, I don't know, because she was 19, so I was like, why are you here? You got all up to do. It's like, you know, like, literally, I don't know what she was thinking.
I don't know why she thought that was flat.
She's like, yo, yo, why are you talking to me more?
I'm like, because you're 19.
Like, yo, like, I'm five years older than you.
Like, I'm quite all right.
and it's still so innocent
I think he's got a better opinion than me.
We have our first judge handoff here.
Sea Africa, would you like to be the judge for this round?
So let us know Yeah thanks
Actually someone voted for Amaretto So I just Code said Amaretto first. How are you saying, Sigg?
Actually, someone voted for Amaretto, so I just echoed it out.
You feel me? So now it's all dependent on the poll, and the poll is ending,
And the poll is ending, and it is going to SIGS.
So SIGS inside is going to take the win for the third round.
That means for the semifinals, we have South of the City versus Dual Wield.
And then for the other battle of the semifinals, We have SIGS versus whatever wins this
last round that we about to do
UU tournament. You feel me?
Yo, let's see what's going down.
Django, what are the last
two songs that you are blessing with us
Keep us up, bro. with on this beautiful Tuesday night.
Yo, yo, yo, are you ready to start the other battle?
Yeah, yeah, it's already ready.
I just need the names of the songs.
Okay, it's When Am I versus Sh need the names of the songs. Okay, it's When I'm High versus Shatterpoint.
Actually, I'm actually high.
High on this piece. This piece is awesome, man.
So in that last song, just before you were voting, see Africa, Django and I here in person
were both voting for different outcomes here.
So one of us was happy and one of us wasn't.
So I'm not going to say what Django wanted or what I wanted, but we're both on opposite sides of that, so that was pretty fun over here.
So it was good to hear your thoughts, and I appreciate you for popping up here.
And, yeah, it's going to be When I'm High versus Shatterpoint.
Shatterpoint is S-H-A, you know.
alright just making sure because you know
I actually failed in my spelling bee
but it wasn't really my fault
bro it's cause my crush was in the bleachers
and she was like staring at me
like while I was literally
juncture and I was like bro, stop staring at me.
You're staring into my soul.
And then I messed up the way.
Let's get to the next freaking battle, yo.
Let me know, and then I'm going to initialize.
All right. So now I'm initial to initialize. Yes, sir. All right.
So now I'm initializing on wavewars.com.
That is Wave Wars with a Z.
And this is where you can live trade, vibe trade on this battle today.
This is the only place you can do this on the internet.
Live trade music battles.
That's what we do out here at Wave Wars.
You got to put your soul on whatever music you fill in your soul.
And whichever song got more soul at the end of the battle, the winner of the battle and the losers give 40% of their soul to the winners.
It gets crazy on this side, yo. It gets crazy.
But it's going down in the next few seconds.
All you got to do is go to wavewars.com and click on the featured battle that is coming up in the next few seconds.
I'm going to tell you when it's up.
I'm going to tell you when it's up.
It's up in three, two, one.
Check the featured battle right now.
We are now in the final round of the Django UU Self vs. Self tournament.
Let's play that song, man.
Shatterpoint by Django UU.
Let's get it. Oh Your button is smashing me, and watch you tear the strength You're the shadow point
These shots are glass and bad, and my wrist ripped the red
You're the shadow point, but I don't feel a thing
While I watch you bleed, while I watch you bleed
I'm down, down, down, down, down, down
Swing me to a living, and I'm out of bounds Yeah. Wilding out, wilding out the bad side Hatred, only thing that keeps us going
Lost a life, I was in love
Too bad mistakes, I'm going up
Bring my head up, push me to my
Two matters in my hands, and I would pour the head
Your button is smashing men, and watch me tear the shreds
These shots are glass and bed, and my wrist ripped the red
Yeah, Shatterpoint, you know I don't feel a thing
While I watch them bleed thing While I watch them bleed While I watch them bleed
I'm not Yo, that song was tough, bro.
But some very strange things are happening on the charts right now.
As in, When I'm High has pushed up to .08 sold on the charts right now.
And we haven't even heard this on yet.
And Shatterpoint right now is still at zero sold.
But we're going to see what's going down next.
Next song that's coming in is when i'm high
by django uu this is the last song the last song the last song of today and let me say something
real quick let me say something real quick all right when i'm high comes out tonight at 12 a.m.
So in less than two hours, this song will be on all streaming platforms.
And this is part of my new EP, which I'm going to be releasing on September 3rd,
called the Synth Rock Concept V2, which have all the streams of V1,
We took them shit to 15 11 we took them shit to 15
We took them shit to the fucking moon. All right, like the vibe on this shit is
Insane to the say the least. Oh man. I'm so excited to drop the ZP. I'm so excited to
Be getting a roll out started with this, which is probably one of my favorite
songs I've, you know, mixed in a while, honestly.
So I'm really excited to show you, alright?
I hope you all like this one.
Shadowport's also gonna be on this EP as well.
So yeah, yeah, this is basically where I'm headed.
This is like the battle of songs of where I'm at it. So I don't like it
By Jango you you what's up?
See Africa will you say I
Feel we have something to see hand is up. Oh, thank you
Jango like have you gotten any notifications on your wallet yet?
Have you seen any trading fees come in?
My G order check, I'm guessing.
That's why you got gotta turn on notifications on
that's the best part about it
you need to keep the notifications on
I've been seeing the notifications.
That's so fire to hear, bro.
That's what I'll be doing.
Let's play this last song because the charts are very close right now.
0.08 for When I'm high and point oh nine for shadow point
Test test. Can you hear me?
Yeah, I can hear you bro. What's up? Okay, here we go. Awesome. I just want to make sure I was live
It sounded I'm delayed to Django, but here we go. This is when I'm high
This is one of my favorite songs as well. So we go what am i banging let's get it
once a spade remains a spade but you were busted up is all arranged housewife or hoe them things the same
Bridges fucker broke one single plane
Lying dog to shades of grey
Giving wings and shackles, shades of trains
Crying out alive to contain the brain
Balancing the scales, maintain the weight, maintain position
Grip your principles, discipline No slipping, end up your despair
No wiggle room for temptation to give in
To fly too distant, galaxy far far away
But where I'm high, cause life
Flights, lights, blurry, blinds
No ripples, blind nobody It's easy, nice, I tried it, it told me things, but down to high, news, folks, always fly, wonder how they feel, what is the price of freedom?
It's dating, can I see it? It's more than just a feeling, still I'm running out for it, gotta have my bitch that way before my head Surrounded by the passing on my hands
Pull me, pull me back in there
Don't want to know you a player
Should've seen the shit comin' when you cuffin' up
When you get your trouble up
Once it's fade, remains it's fade
Right now we'll bust it up, it is all arranged
Housewife or hoe, them things are same
Bridges fuck or broke, one single plane
Light and dark, just shades of gray
Feelin' leans and shackles, shades and chains
Cryin' out alive to contain the brain
Balancing the scales, maintain the weight, maintain position.
Grip your principles, discipline, no slipping, and I feel despair.
No wiggle room for temptations to give in.
To fly too distant, galaxy far, far away.
We're high, cause life, rights, rights, Yo, that song was so fire, bro.
I think that might have been my favorite one of this night, bro.
And that's saying a lot, because I fuck with Door Wheels hard.
You know what I'm saying?
But like, yo, that was a vibe.
And of course, it wins the Wave Wars vote.
When I'm High just showed up as the winner.
Very close to Shatterpoint.
These new songs are absolutely heat, bro.
Thank you so much for sharing these songs with us today, man.
Like, man, now I'm wondering, like, yo, what's really about to win the finals, bro?
This shit about to be crazy, man.
But, yeah, fire tracks all around.
Shout out to Django, man, for coming through and giving us the heat.
That song, When I'm High, drop it tonight, man.
I'm going to have to listen to that on my headies, bro.
Just to capture the vibe, bro.
Yo, that shit was hard, bro.
Yo, I just want to thank everyone who, you know, sat with us in this space.
You know, first live self versus self battle ever that you can actively trade on.
Like, we historic, honestly.
historic honestly like right but like also like shit like some of y'all heard songs of mine
But, like, also, like, shit.
that like groups of people have not heard in four plus years in the case of wide awake you know i
haven't done that show have to have no that song at a show ever i've never performed wide awake
since the release party right um back in in 2020, three weeks before COVID.
And other songs like Amaretto and Six Outside,
I haven't done those songs.
I haven't ever shown any group of people those songs,
like ever, never once, right?
So just very, very grateful for those who sat with us and got to enjoy some of the range of music I have.
And in case people are curious, yeah, I got other stuff too.
I got, I mean, I got house music.
I got like, you know, pop punk, if you will.
But honestly, I'm mainly a hip hop artist, like I said.
And what I do is experimental hip hop.
My name is Django W, experimental hip hop artist from New York City.
And yeah, just thank you all for being a dope audience.
Honestly, I really can't say it enough.
And I really don't have the words, despite being a songwriter, to really express how I feel.
But we're all here for the same reason, right?
Because we all recognize that music has this intangible quality about it
that is, like, both healing, empowering,
but also, like, when we're struggling with things,
it comes and shows us that, like, it gets us in those times as well, right?
And all the feelings in between and outside of those feelings as well.
And that's why we're all here.
I've been touched by music in that way.
And I hope my music was able to touch anyone here.
So thank you for just sitting here and enjoying what I had to show y'all.
Thank you for just sitting here and enjoying what I had to show y'all.
Definitely, definitely dope vibes, man.
I need to, man, you said midnight, bro.
Now I got to wait till midnight for that.
Oh, man, I've cleaned up my two hours.
Yo, thanks, boy. you know what i'm saying
but yeah bro shout out to jago i love how you continuously get better in the craft
just keep getting better bro like just every song just keep going what's up cf
you your ep is coming out on the third of september right
yeah my next ep is coming out september 3rd yes September, right? Yeah, my next EP is coming out on September 3rd, yes.
Can I help with that project?
Can we have a little freestyle here now?
You want me to freestyle right now?
Me and you, me and you, a little freestyle.
I sing Afro, I do Afro beats.
Who got the beat, though?
That's the real question.
Yeah, actually, yeah. Who got a beat?
Because, like, I have beats, but, like, they're not easily accessible to Zara right now.
I can do something, acapella.
So. I do not make a fella. Okay. I'm with you, bro. I'm with you, man So
I'm listening. Oh, you want me to start? Yeah
You're the challenger bro, you got us. Oh
You're the challenger, bro.
AJ, I will bring you back up.
I don't know what happened to you.
I said I want that next shit.
You looking at the bestest.
Treat me niggas like my stepkids.
Didn't write the rules, but my style is like the author.
Just crashed the range, so I pulled a band out.
I'm probably getting brains
chilling at my penthouse slacking on your mac and then i'm about to lay my pimp down christian
laban red bottom coming men's now on to the next one skinny jeans fit in pull up to these shows and
these girls know to get in so they like my split ends down to my fitted she's locked away ah
come on finish she lost the way ah
okay so i'll say yeah i don't want to tell you one truth i've been enjoying
these few times i've been with you guys i just want to tell you see see africa i
just want to spend time with you guys because i just have a lot to say Django, you be like a brother to me
I pray God bless you for me
All the times and the things you've done for me
Yo, let's go, let's go, let's go
I just wanna tell you one thing
I been saying all this all true I just wanna tell you one thing. made me feel brave wave you make me feel so good and i really really love the space on you
please don't take the space away from me i want to be with you guys all day every day and day
i just want to vibe with you guys all day all day thank you bro that's called afro beats
yeah i need to start i need to hop with some Afro piece I ain't gonna lie like that
That's actually what am I talking about on the EP?
I have some experimental Afro beat stuff. It's been stuff. I've been working on like like top secret like told nobody your body
like I was like nah nah I got I can't talk about this until I have like a
nah nah i got i can't talk about this until i have like a like an idea that's worth talking about
because if i do this wrong it's gonna sound terrible yeah and right but like if i do this
right i'm gonna have something money and i i got it i definitely got it i got it going right i was
Because like one thing, you know, see Africa. I'll tell you right now, I'm half Nigerian.
Secondly, I'm Yoruba, but I'm not like, I don't know the culture like that because I grew up in America and shit.
It's on my dad's side, but I never met my dad, you know.
So like things like that, just like that's how my experience is but I am technically Yoruba so what what
you might I'm amazed man I'm able to be strong people but I grew up in you ass on a song. Quezon! That is... Wow.
I was like a Nigerian family reunion up in this motherfucker.
Okay, so Django, I'm going to make a promise to you now.
So when your EP is out, I promise single-handedly here, I will promote your EP here in Nigeria.
I will promote your EP here in Nigeria.
At least I will promise you a million streams.
I'm all for it because, like, I'm trying to get to Nigeria and start doing shows, like,
because one of the things
i was really blessed with when i was in college was like i had a like i had like a world audience
pretty immediately because a bunch of my friends were um um they were um study abroad students
so i had friends from like syria and lebanon, random parts of Europe, like Croatia.
I had a couple of Russian friends.
I had a couple of friends from Ghana, Kenya.
And so, like, you know, when I first started putting out music, it was like, yo, my stuff was being spun in like what?
Like, I want to say like.
Like 80 countries and i knew like literally 30 of them were like from just people that i like met in college who were going back home for like you
know summer break and like telling their friends and family about me and then they were spinning
it too because like like there was the craziest thing
to me was when i dropped my first three songs and there was this kid from tunisia and he still loves
me his name is ryan but um yo he's like my biggest fan i've ever had like he's like like he used to
dm me every day he's like yo you gotta send me more music, bro. You're so good.
It was crazy to me because I had never known this kid from anywhere.
He just found my music one day on Twitter, and then he was like, yo, you're awesome.
Please keep putting stuff out.
When I think about my reasoning for like, y'all, like, why am I getting better? Obviously it's always like a reason of like, well,
I want to get better. Right. I want to put more music out. I want to, you know, pursue just having
a career in music. But to say that the little things like that guy from Tunisia, who was like
reaching out to me so early on in my career telling me that he loved
my stuff and that I was his number one artist of the year for 2020 by a long shot too yeah like
spun yeah bumped my music like for literally like 10,000 minutes or something ridiculous it was
insane like it was literally insane um but to say like that didn't impact me at all and why I keep doing this could be a lot.
I was very fortunate in a way to just even have those experiences.
And for that, I'm very grateful.
I think my music is awesome. But also, like, I didn't necessarily deserve
to have those types of experiences with people appreciating what I made. You know, I just
made it and people happen to like it. And I know realistically, like, it's not like
a school project where you get a grade for doing a certain amount of work. Like, you
can put as much work as you want in the song and people could just not like
it because they just don't like it and that's okay no but that's why I'm
grateful John right now what's our music music is a very spiritual inclined
something like if you put out something good your world or your heart will need
to tell like if you put out something good to the mass, you don't need to stress yourself.
I'm telling you, if you bring out something good
here in Nigeria, we will eat your album.
We will carry it on our head.
Like I said, your album, we will take it around Nigeria.
I believe that, honestly.
Thank you. Thank you for the encouragement. Yeah, I'm with you, man. I believe that. Honestly, I do believe that. It's simple. It's very simple. Thank you.
Thank you for the encouragement.
Stay with me for Shantan.
For sure. For thank you thank you
so I just pinned it up to the fourth round because we was over here chopping it up and all that stuff. So I just pinned it up to the
tell us who won, when I'm high, or
Shatterpoint. It's very important.
You feel me? Let us know.
And then we're going to get to our
for the final say to see which song is taking away this final round.
And, you know, we'll get to the semifinals this Friday.
But in the meantime, Jago, somebody had their hand up.
Oh, man. Let's gone. Oh, man.
Let's say what's up to Tricky Buddha.
What's good with you, dog?
It's Tricky Buddha from Defy Space.
I can't do it. I can't do it.
I think I lost my voice at FGNYC.
No, Tricky, this can't be the case, bro.
I've never heard you say you can't do your intro, bro.
Even if it sounds bad, bro, it must be done.
It doesn't have must be done. Like, this is like... I'm so done. It does have to be done.
Alright, I guess we all gotta be tricky for him today.
from DeFi's Fake Talkies.
Sponsored by Weed On Soul.
Get yourself a bag of weed.
Hey, sometimes homies gotta step in, bro. let's go yeah that's a that's a
oh shit okay bet I think I did see a couple of your aliases I was popping in on different accounts throughout the thing. That's just it. Share it out.
Oh, shit. Okay, man. I think I did see a couple of your aliases.
Appreciate you coming through. Appreciate you
All we got to do is vote on this poll
wins. But in the meantime,
Sea Africa, bro. you are our judge.
So let us know which one, Shatterpoint or when I'm high, bro.
So for me, I go for Shatterpoint.
He goes for Shattered Point.
It all depends on this poll, bro.
Once again, we're down to the poll.
if your mama didn't vote,
if your daddy didn't vote,
tell them to come to Wave Wars right now and get their vote in.
We had a small space today, but it was still live, bro.
Yeah, one vote, bro. One vote.
It's the whole thing. We know you got powers.
Why don't everybody share the link of this space after we're done for a larger audience next time?
That's exactly what we should do, bro. That's exactly what we should do. Matter of fact,
we have our semifinal space
Zaw already posted it. Let me see if he already
don't know what happened today, this is
tournament. So essentially Django came in with eight of his songs and we're essentially having two
by two of those songs go against each other in the quarterfinals and then see what goes
to the semifinals and then see what finally makes it to the finals, which will be a 24
We're not going to be here for 24 hours, but it's going to be up for 24 hours for people to vote on, etc., etc.
So right now, this is the last battle of the quarterfinals, round four.
And we're about to see what's going to take it away for the first battle of the semifinals, which we will be experiencing on Friday.
It looks like we haven't created the space yet, which we should have created that.
But Tricky got his hand up.
I'm going to have a birthday mega space.
Yeah, it's a little bit over a month,
but I have to start early.
Happy birthday to you. There you go.
She's coming in with the vocals.
Happy birthday to you in advance.
Who had her hand up earlier?
I totally forgot what I was going to say.
I've been trying to figure it out.
is, you know, rugged me here. So, yeah. But if I think of it, I'll come back.
We need you. We need you.
Tricky's birthday is on August 17th or 16th. Oh, wait. His birthday event is on the 16th.
Yeah, that's my actual birthday.
Yeah, you got to bring stuff for the room.
I've come with nice shirts.
I'm a club with nice shirts.
Trit, what do you think about that?
Sorry. The middle of my sentence interrupts the beginning of yours you think about that? I didn't hear you. Sorry.
The middle of my sentence interrupts the beginning of yours.
I was like, I will pull up with nice shoddies to your baby party.
Pull up through to the space.
Pull up through the birthday space.
I'll be there though. You feel me?
Yo, let's say what's up to Candy.
So I remember what I was going to say.
I was going to say we should make a
somewhere like African beat. and then we should remix it
because there's so many like people in from Africa and there's so many things going on in Africa and like basses out there
like I can see a remix like going really well
yeah and Django I know you've got like that that beat in you. I feel like I want to hear it.
It's in Bon. It's in Bon. It's in him. He just needs to find it.
Nah, that's real. That's real. That's actually big sauce, yo. So let's figure out how to do that. You know what I'm saying? I know we got the capabilities out here. I think I was talking to Loki. I don't know if y'all remember Loki.
And he apparently knows some Ama Piano producers.
So, hey, we'll see what happens, yo.
But, yeah, I definitely think Afro Beast is the wave wave.
I don't know if y'all ever seen that at a party, bro.
Folks be sweating and stretching and all type of vibe getting.
You know what I'm saying?
But, yeah, definitely shout out to AfroBeast.
Also in the space, shout out to my G.
Oh, my G just unmuted and unmuted.
But yeah, it looks like the poll is almost done.
The great, the great, the great, the great.
Has posted the space to the top.
That space where we'll be having the finale.
What is this time, though?
We'll be doing the finale on July 4th.
And July 4th is a Friday.
We might have to change that date, but we'll see what happens.
It might be the next day, but set your reminder anyways,
just so you know, that's the space limit.
But, yeah, definitely going down.
That's going to be the finale today.
We did the quarterfinals.
And the one that's going to take the win for round four will be Shatterpoint.
So Shatterpoint is taken from the ground,
So now, finally, we have the full semi-final bracket set up.
It will be dual-wheeled versus South of the City,
