2024, January, I started the Zao.
And Hurricane decided at the end of one of our focus group meetings to be like,
yo, I got an idea.

So we got excited.
We got up to a plan and Hurricane ended up naming it Wave Wars.
And we literally shipped an event within a week and a half from then and just kind of started to build and build from there.
And it was a really awesome experience doing our 10 music battles last year where we culminated that
experience uh with a live in person wave wars battle at zao chela which was a rematch of our
first battle which was hurricane versus django y UU, who's going to be here.
Django W, our guest judge. And Django got a chance to go against Hurricane in our live
wave wars at Zauchella, which was a blast. And all the meanwhile, Hurricane's been
coding up this V2 version where we can kind of play a little around with uh with crypto and uh
and start start kind of getting getting more people involved in supporting independent musicians
through the power of this technology so i'm stoked to be here today i'm stoked to play around with
this tech i'm stoked to kind of get to it and play around with it i'm stoked to hear this battle and
all this awesome music so um yeah that's kind of a little bit
about how we got here.
