wednesday i'm tommy from wax and today we're going to get you ready for one of the biggest
weekends in three that's an optopia five happening this weekend this is a free two-day online
convention happening august 16th and 17th it's built for creators collectors developers and those
who are simply curious about web3 blockchain and what and what have you. NFTopia takes all the buzzwords of blockchain
and NFTs and turns them into something you can actually understand and enjoy with live
panels, interactive workshops, giveaways, and drops that makes it easier to get smart
about Web3 without you having to spend a dime. Joining me today are two of the driving forces
behind NFTopia, Breakman and Cristaya. They're here are two of the driving forces behind Aneptopia,
Breakman and Cristaya. They're here to give us the inside scoop on what's planned for this year,
from the schedule, the giveaways, and some of their favorite moments from past Aneptopia events.
And later, we'll be opening the floor to participating projects so they can share what to watch for this weekend. Before we get started, as always, just a quick reminder,

okay all right well i'm ready to get into it um we've got a big show ahead of us we've got a lot
of time set out for us today we'll be hearing um also from some uh participating uh collections
i'll be there at annaf toftopia a little later so but for now
it's not fooling around the break let's get to the meat of why we're here so um i think i want to
start um i'll start throwing this one to you break man um well the big picture right what is what is
nftopia schedule look like this weekend like i want to know like what can we what we most excited
for how does it start? Where are we going?

You can still pre-register also all the way up until Saturday and you'll be

So that's a pretty good reason to go there and click the button and enter
uh we see screenshots we see a schedule we see a floor plan it's a virtual expo so it's just like a real life expo that you would walk around with booths and talk to people uh but we do it all
online through a web browser we get fun avatars uh if you're looking on my twitch well i got some visuals
here for you uh so you customize your avatar you're walking into the booths you can connect
your cam and your mic you can screen share on the walls there's lots of stuff to look at and click
on there's lots of exclusive drops and giveaways and the entire schedule is filled to the rim
uh starting saturday morning at 9 a.m. Eastern,
it's going to go all the way till midnight Eastern.
And then same thing again on Sunday.
So the entire two days is packed.
We do what we call the AMA train, which takes most of the event.
We're going to go from booth to booth.
We have 20 different AMAs interviews.
They're going to each be presenting to booth we have 20 different amas interviews they're going
to each be presenting for about 15 minutes uh their project a lot of them have special
launches and drops and giveaways uh and then we do a question q a session people can join in right
from the metaverse on on mic everything's gonna be also on twitch at the same time so people can
watch on twitch also so it's fully interactive you're gonna be engaging to earn
rewards at the same time and then it's very quick pace so after a half hour
we're gonna switch right over to the next one and we're just gonna go booth
to booth like that Saturday also has keynotes and panels and then in the
evenings we have a three-hour networking mingle where we
want people to go around to all the booths and uh talk to the the projects and communities they
they really vibe with uh the the booth owners are going to be in their in their booth at that time
uh so it'll be really much like a real life expo at that time, right from the comfort of your own home. And then in the evenings, we got some open mics. The floor will be open to anybody else to pitch
their project if they didn't get an official slot. We're also going to have some music performances.
And if there's anybody out there that wants to sing for us, you're also invited. It's an open
karaoke style. We also got Who Wants to Be a Millionaire down there. It's a
really fun trivia game that Storm Struggle made for us. So I'm going to get in the hot seat. I'm
going to play Regis and we're going to get people in and asking them trivia questions. Sunday is the
same thing, but AMA is the entire day. So we're going like eight hours or seven to eight hours straight here every half
hour we switch so you're gonna learn so much during that time and have so much fun and we do
it all again another three-hour networking block and some uh achievement badges and open mic in the
evenings so it's gonna be just a heck of a a weekend. The venue will remain open afterwards also.
So all through next week, anyone can still come in.
All the activities remain.
All the drops, giveaways remain for an entire week.
So if you're busy this weekend, you can still hop in throughout the week.
And we also have some live things during the week too.
We'll still do our regular space on Wednesday.
There's other streamers that are going gonna be doing things throughout the week but uh
these two days Saturday Sunday that's really where you want to be at
hey so it sounds like for someone who's turning in for the first time like the best place for
them is one just log right in and just kind of hang out from the past events I remembered um
it's like a literal AMA or like a literal
hype train we're following I think it's we follow you around and you do the
interviews live in space and they're also streamed to twitch so for people
who are new I think that's gonna be the best place is there any other ways that
they can consume and if topia this weekend
Yeah, the metaverse is the way to go.
You can do it on a browser on desktop, mobile or VR.
If you have an older device on mobile or VR, it might have some crashing issues.
You're gonna have to just give it a shot.
We do also have a small lobby room this time that is a small size.
So for people that have problems in mobile and VR
in the expo room, they might still be able to get
into the lobby and still experience the avatar
and hanging out.
But otherwise, yeah, you can pull up Twitch.
A lot of us are doing this multi-screen experience.
We have multiple monitors and tabs or whatever,
or even devices,
computer and mobile. And so you can watch me on Twitch, you can earn break bucks and earn NFTs
while you're doing that on Twitch. And then also in the metaverse with your avatar, you'll have
your own POV and we see your avatar too. So it's like you become part of the stream and the whole
event that way. And so when we walk into all the booths,
all of us as a group, we're going to pile in and all pile in into each booth. It's really cool to
see a big group of people like that. And also they all turn on their mics and they have their text
chat. So then you can engage with us through that through that time too some people like to
just come and watch uh and just uh spectate or and react with their avatars you got funny
fun emojis and stuff you got fly mode where you can stand on people's heads and fly around other
people like to engage more and they're they're going to talk and ask questions it's whatever
comfort level you want to be, you can do it.
If you wanna be anonymous, you can do it.
You don't wanna wear pants, you can do it.
That's the beauty of the metaverse.
So let's all have a blast.

um your feed but um are there any panels or workshops or any is there a specific aspect
of nftopia itself that you're most excited about this year christelle and then breakman yeah well
i'm really excited about all the amas and panelists that we're gonna have
and of course i'm really really waiting for soli's keynote on funko okay because i i love
so that's gonna be fun and i love his energy so that that part of the keynote is going to be awesome.
And also, I'm really excited about who wants to be a millionaire event.
I think that because when I was little, I used to watch this show. We had that show, exact show, but in Spanish.
And that is called Quien Quiere Ser Un Millonario.
It's the same.
And I used to watch it all the time so I'm really really excited because we are gonna have questions not only general questions
also questions about our, about the projects that we have in the metaverse so it's not gonna be easy you will need to really know about all the people
all the emails about
Really what's going on in Eftopia. So that's gonna be really fun. And I'm really excited to see how people is gonna play that

Panels workshops events you're most excited for this round
I'm stoked about the whole the whole thing tell me talk about the whole thing. We've been playing it for months
of course, I'm gonna be
Hosting the whole AMA train. So it's like to me. It's just the whole thing is all just one big thing
It's the whole train, the whole train. But I'm excited for some of the releases and drops we're working on.
And then I really love the evenings. There's some musical performances towards the end,
a nice, a fun party. Anybody that didn't get a chance to get interviewed can go at that time.
It's more lax.
We're talking about the achievement badges and just taking fun selfies.
So, I mean, pretty much the entire weekend for me, but I like the evening shows as well.
All right, Saul, it sounds like there's something for everybody.

When you are setting up the schedule for this, do you try to balance, like, do you try to spread out the types of projects?
Like, you'll have, like, art and then gaming and then, like, an education?
Or do you just, is it it i believe it was there's
everybody who first come first serve sign up for what they want um how do you kind of decide that
schedule break man you might there go yeah i uh too much windows open can't find my mute button so um
uh yeah the schedule on the map if you look at the uh the website we got the floor plan so yeah
basically all these booths were up for sale for uh for months ago and uh we kind of laid it out
in the best format that we thought would make a good layout for the expo, essentially.
So they are kind of grouped by category.
You'll find like streamers over on the upper deck.
You're going to find all the multi-chain and the hive projects grouped together,
the wax games grouped together, the bigger projects with the large booths.
The patio outside has some bigger launches and giveaways and things.
And then the schedule is also kind of, I mean, it's a mix.
It's a mix.
We have art and we have games.
We have multi-chain.
It was whatever slots they were able to do.
So really, you're going to get a big mix of everything.
But whether you're into art or games or anything web 3 related you'll probably
find something uh interesting i think it's really nice divide between blocks and something like
you had all these ma train but you also have social blocks where people can know each other
make connections and i think it's well balanced all the weekend between
what is educational, entertainment, and connecting people. That's what I love most.
Yeah, I have a second thought. From my past experiences, the times I've had the most fun
was definitely interacting in the social hours, either before or after we did like the parties or the music competitions and the rapping battles and stuff.
That was fun. Really cool. Looking forward to that.
Now, let's talk about what people are going to be getting.
So, NFTopia in the past has given away some amazing stuff.
So, what is in store for the attendees this time?
Leave that to you, Rickman. Get the hype.
Get hype! Yeah, we're giving away some stuff. We got what we call the swag booth. It's the
swag booth. So you're going to go over there. It's a banner that showcases a lot of the prizes
and it'll have the directions, the instructions there. So basically
there's going to be a bounty block contest as we're familiar in the wax chain. We know what
bounty blocks contests are. Yeah. You're going to get in there. You're going to enter with your
socials sharing and also holding NFTs, especially if you're, if you've held NFTs from the past,
if you want to get NFT, NFTs, you'll get extra entries.
That bounty block's gonna have thousands of NFTs
as prizes on there, all from different collections.
We got a whole bunch from the exhibitors.
Every collection is a separate drawing.
So basically there's like over 50 collections
or something like that.
Each one is a separate draw out of the giveaway
with all the entries.
So you could win a whole bunch of them.
If you have a whole bunch of entries,
you might win boom, boom, boom, boom.
A lot of them have 50 to like a lot of winners too.
So we're talking 30 to a hundred winners each.
So even if you're like,
even if somebody's holding so many entries, it seems like they're
always winning. There's chances are you're also winning
because there's so many winners. And then also everybody's
gonna get some things. So everybody that joins that swag
bounty is going to get a proof of attendance NFT from us. We
have special achievement badges made by different artists. So
this one was made by Pantheon.
There's a number of NFTs from projects going to everybody, like freebies.
That's real swag right there.
That's swag, stuff we all get.
That's like when you go to the expos and you walk out with a bag of goodies.
That's what you're going to get.
You're going to get a wallet of goodies.
And then there's more than that. So i have a banner next to it with some things
outside of wax we got some physicals uh i'm going to give away a pair of exclusive sneakers that
we're dropping i'm giving away a physical poster uh art poster go perils giving away a custom
create a t-shirt uh the winner can design their own t-shirt we got paypal cash giving away we got
solana uh crypto giving away steam cards from uh from uh play wild card and multi-chain nfts there's
a number of exhibitors from other chains doing giveaways so for that one you're just going to
get in there and do those tasks it's not a a bounty block. It'll just be a form.
It'll have tasks.
You enter it that way.
And then Funkos are also in the mix.
We're giving away six Funko packs, digital.
Four of them are premium.
Two of them are standard. You just got to go to the banner and click to enter.
And also one of our exhibitors, Sh of funko nfts is given a
a physical funko pop so that's only the swag part of it in addition to that we have our uh the twitch
so the entire time throughout the whole weekend you can as you're watching twitch you are able to dig
inside the twitch as we wax streamers and viewers
have been participating for a while now.
It's the scurvy bot who's also an exhibitor.
You get into Twitch, you're earning break bucks,
you're redeeming them, you get NFTs.
That's not only the my channel,
which will be on the entire weekend.
There's also other streamers doing the same
and they're also gonna be running almost the whole weekend.
So shouts, Las Vegas Ape, shouts to the running almost the whole weekend so shouts las vegas safe shouts the online inn and alleybear shouts to others who will also be live
streaming welsh dad and others the entire time we'll even going to co-stream parts of it if we're
going to be in the same area and whenever we're co-streaming you're double digging or triple
digging or quad whatever multi so when that happens all the chats will be
connected and every time that you click you do dig you're gonna get it from like five channels all
and they'll all appear in the chat it's gonna be crazy uh that's gonna happen the entire weekend
long and then uh on top of that there might even there's some more extras from exhibitors so if you
walk around to all the different booths they also have their own special little things that they're doing with specific
tasks so if you just go around and explore again you have an entire week so if you can't get all
this weekend uh also most of this weekend is live shows so if you're into uh attending those and
not missing any of the shows then you're gonna have
less time to explore uh but you have all week to do that check out all the booths click all the
things do all the things and then in a week from now all the giveaways will be over and uh all the
winners will be getting things not just winners but everybody everybody will be getting things
into their wallets so we're we're definitely excited about that.

And then you've got like, you've got it covered from,

You're really, not only are you like doing cross chain,

some cash just so a project I made a little app I made I'm gonna have a fun
little task for people but yeah I just wanted to give away a little cash for
anybody that's not in the crypto maybe that's something that they'd be down to go try to enter for.

It sounds like there's going to be tasks in the swag booth.
What kind of tasks do you think?
What can people be expected to see?
I know in the past there's been like um
catch the most or climb the highest or catch the most stars on achievement badges uh so uh the task and the bounty are going to be simple they're going to be like following socials or
sharing or holding nfts or viewing uh links or some other tasks over on the other side might be to post something specific
on Twitter. But the achievement badges are separate. We actually have a number of them.
Man, the art's not on here yet. Here by the weekend, the art will be on here. Beautifully made.
And yeah, those tasks are going to be something done in the metaverse. For example,
There's going to be something done in the metaverse.
For example, Sully's in the chat here and he made the Tresor badge, which is for doing parkour.
That means you're going to use fly mode and you're going to fly somewhere.
You're going to stand on top of something.
Last year at Wooftopia, we started doing human towers and that's fun.
So we're going to stand on each other's heads and make a big tower.
And for those tasks, you're going to take a selfie of it we call them selfies it's a screenshot of it
show your avatar throw that on the TwitX we want you to use
the hashtag of NFTopia5 and we want to
fill that bad boy up full of content and that's
also how you do the achievement badges so whenever you're doing the
tasks there's also like a scavenger hunt
and there's metaverse dweller,
which is four screenshots of different events
to show that you were there for at least two hours
and others, you're gonna post those on the TwinX.
Then you're gonna fill out a form
and then you'll get your badges after the event's over.
So these are exclusive badges
with different artists only for this event okay solid so it does sound like there are some tasks
will require your presence at certain parts of the event so i think um not financial advice but
general advice go in check the swag booth first check out everything you've got and then try to plan your day i think that's what i'll be talking about yeah yeah lots of stuff to check out uh now when you go into the
swag booth yeah you don't have to enter it right away you can you can look at it right away or not
uh it'll be open for a whole week especially the nft holding if you wind up getting more
extra nfts that are that are on the entry list,
you'll want to go back and enter those two and whatnot.

I want to ask a little bit more
about some of the past events.
You've both been part of Anotopia
from the earliest, from the early days, right?
What is one moment that sticks out in your mind from the past Anutopia events?
Christaia.
Well, of course, all the amazing projects and people that we have met here,
amazing friends, amazing experience.
But I have to say there's always something really fun on Social Box,
especially on karaoke.
I participate in some karaoke, and that was fun.
But I always remember Waffle's Kitty on karaoke,
and she has an amazing voice, that stick to my mind so I always remember
that karaoke of she singing so all social experience are really amazing you make amazing
friends here networking and no new projects so it's an amazing event. And I just been
having a blast being part of the staff and also making the event for you guys. So we've
been working really hard. So I hope to see you guys there.
Thanks, Cristina. Great man, is there any like specific is there one moment you can think
of from any of the past event that really sticks out in your mind oh similar to kind of what i said
what i'm looking forward to uh but like everything so uh the nftopia started about three years ago
we had followed up digicon which was ended uh and was put on by Splinterlands. So now we kind of
did our own thing. And Digicon didn't have any of the shows. It did have some panels
and keynotes, but it didn't have any of the AMA train and any of the achievement badges.
Most of it was only like the networking block, the entire thing. All of it was just people going around to booths and talking.
And so when we started in Eftopia, it really became a much more engaging show-based event.
And that hits a lot to me.
It takes a lot of that is on me and how we've evolved it and bettered it and planned everything.

not only hopeful for the upcoming one, but the past, the past events, the AMA trains were always
a big part of it that stood out to me when we're all going to the different booths. It brings me
joy when people find value in that, not just for the fun and the rewards,
but they're there for the projects.
And we actually see some of the most viewership
and the attendance of the entire event
is happening at some of the AMAs
when the projects are bringing their communities
and then they're learning about everybody else.
It's extremely hands-on and interactive
to engage with people that way and so that's
that's my core memory of uh edithopia that's great that's great stuff thanks for staying
all right one thing i want to ask too is like we vote the the it's wednesday the event starts um saturday morning uh what's the best way that people here can help share
um the event and get the word out
well i would say that share your posts on social and join the live stream come to the metaverse and also if you
are happy and if you happen to to be like have your ads account and you have a lot of followers
or you are in the community you also can join the ambassador program we have some tags there you also can help us there sharing all our stuff and let's make the an

the just make art uh get a bunch of shots we spent a lot of time prettying up the place all
the exhibitors have really beautiful banners that they spent a lot of time with.

team did, putting together all the exhibitors, getting their booths set up, and just the
turnout, I think, is the most exciting part for me because I see people sometimes asking, like, oh, you know, what projects are out there?

You participated in for end of Topia or is this your first?
Oh no no
I've been at
Basically every end of Topia since
The first DikiCon
I've been running events for a lot of them
As well for other communities back in 2021.
And we...
I mean, back then, we did a little thing like hide-and-seek
and trying to...
Well, trying to take something like screenshots as well,
like selfies with different people that run the events.
So we've always loved all of these virtual events.
They're a great place.
We just need as many people as possible in there
and as many great events and great projects to have fun with.

What's your favorite memory from Eneptopia county I was hoping you someone would ask that my favorite memory of
aneptopia my favorite memory is I think it's still on my Twitter um let me look uh we yeah it is it's
my my Twitter banner we um I got to the closest I could meet and hang out with uh Chris Daya and
some close friends Car Carly and Derek from
Gold Peril at the event. And I remember that we took selfies, did the human tower, the
conga. But then later in the night, it was, we kind of stayed up and it was fun just kind
of shooting the shit and getting to know, getting to know these great people. I think
Danish was there too, but that was, that's my, when I think of Anatopia,
I think of that night hanging out
in those little circle seats on the second floor.
That's what I remember.
So it's definitely, definitely stuck with me.
So the social blocks, I know I mentioned before,
the social blocks are definitely my favorite part.
Yeah, that was really amazing.
It's because you make a really nice connection
with the people
that you usually talk all the time on socials like you talk all the time on discord on ads
or maybe you reply to their polls on everything but in anathopia you get to like really talk like get to know like talking about life
whatever and there is no barriers there and you become friends you make connections you may you
maybe get to know more about the people that you all are always talking about i don't know collaborations
work whatever we are all the time here well mostly i'm all the time here and and it's really nice
to get to know and like get to call friends people that you make collaborations like you talk all the time and mostly like with you tommy
with breakman with all the ineptopia team with a lot of community members and i can call them
friends and that's really something really amazing that we get here and not just for social media for this blockchain digital world
and mostly because um we are all the time here so it's really really nice and i don't leave my house
awfully so
i don't get out much break it's also what you make of it so there's a lot of people that love just watching the shows
and they're that that's what they like to do they like to engage in the shows in text
and emotes and they don't speak and that's okay but the social blocks are are intended
for like a real networking event.
So especially if you're a creator and you're trying to forge collabs and meet people,
or if you like going to real convention events.
I know there's people here down below.
I see us that like going to real life convention events.
And what do you do there is you go and talk to people.
You go to their booths and you talk to people.
It's not about just watching a show or not talking.
So, yeah, for those types of people, we highly encourage you to come.
That time period is 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern on both days.
And, yeah, we spent a lot of time to plan this.
So that includes all the exhibitors.
They're looking forward to
this too so it's it's an opportunity for for any creator any collector in the space to come and
and meet people make forge collabs you never know it could be your future partner in some kind of
way or just uh or just like tommy says come and just make some friends and hang out uh the
experience will be so much more worthwhile
if you're hanging out in the metaverse
throughout that period,
exploring the booths
and talking to whoever's around
as compared to just like watching the shows
and peacing out at that time.
We want busy action floor at that time.

go ahead and request the mic come up the stage and share what you're doing um if not um i'll
give you your time back because i know that break man christine and myself
we're all got stuff to be working on to get ready for the weekend so let me bring byron up to the
stage welcome byron hi tommy how are you doing i'm okay i'm ready for an eftopia how are you
i'm also ready for an eftopia um me and uh cryptozic and trock crock lock have finally finished the horde's
catacombs which we want to well we can already tell you about it now but it really starts on the
on the aneptopia day can i post it in the comments here i'll post a link to it if that's cool yeah i
think so okay all right so can i talk about it i't know. I don't want to shill too much, but basically what we've done is we've put together a kind of a month long activity that encourages people to burn old assets to get new stuff.
whole month of burning uh getting free drops and such like that uh just trying to kind of find a
way to give people something to do daily rather than just you know show up flip some entities or
whatever they do i don't know what people do but kind of give them a activity for daily collecting
so there's going to be like uh for the whole month it's not really like a month from the start of the
this to the next month it's like starts on next monday this coming monday i mean and then it goes for four weeks and in each of
those weeks there's going to be like free taco tuesdays uh there's a midweek perk pack which is
basically a pack that has uh it's like 10 different nfts that you can collect but you can only get one
per week every midweek so it kind of keeps you going and come back from work.
There's some puzzles as well.
There's the Thirsty Thursdays and Freaky Fridays.
And then there's some gambling Deegan stuff on the weekends as well.
So trying to bring all the different tools that WAX can give to creators all in one spot to kind of highlight a whole bunch of them.
And that's about all I can say right now.
But yeah, check the link out.
It's an exclusive, like, you get an NTT, like a non-transferable token.
Because WAX has all these cool ways of gatekeeping stuff, right?
And keeping things secure so only the, can kind of keep out the bots.

harkens back to a cove and we couldn't all get together but it kept going because it's convenient
but i really like that yeah it's so much easier than trying to show up somewhere
just staying your you don't even have to put on pants you don't get sick hopefully too it's like
you don't get the comp or convention flu. You don't get the convention flu.
No traveling.
No spending a bunch of money.
That's right.
Byron's going to have a booth right next to the doorway to the patio.
We've got a screen right above his booth,
so you're going to see his hands at work there with his drawings.
Anybody, for most of the weekend, unless it's – oh, whoopsie, I was muted in Twitch, sorry.
I was just mentioning, Byron, yeah, we're going to have a booth,
and his drawing will be right above his booth,
so you can walk through there.
Most of the weekend he'll be there actually drawing live pictures.
He does it very fast, and he'll take requests.
So if you want to jump in there and like give him some ideas or a headshot or whatever you want him to draw as a zombie, he'll do it.
Yeah, maybe I'll even put it together, the art from NFTopia pack and give it to everyone that contributes.
I'll also be giving you a whole bunch of stuff to give away as well for the horde.
The horde. The horde. The horde showing up to nftopia it's gonna be fun i love nftopia they're
they're so amazing you do you guys do a great job putting them together
sorry go ahead baron no that's all good um basically like i don't have much else to say
i'll just read you a little bit about it like it says are you brave enough to explore the horde's
catacombs so explore the horde and burn away that which needs burning while you're also earning
there are great treasures hidden in the dark depths of the horde's catacombs and will take
people like you to do the horde's work burn the things that need to be burned and find that
treasure along the way you'll level up as and you'll be recognized and rewarded by the horde for your achievements.
We even got like a, we used the Nefty Blocks upgrade feature so that you can upgrade your passport with stamps.
So as you go along making these achievements and doing the things, you get your passport upgraded.
Which is kind of a neat little thing that nefty blocks has given us
creators to do um so basically you're basically going to be um double basically you're going to
be burning one asset one old byron art set one nft every hour for eight hours a day so it's kind of
like working right you start off like that and then you get the stamps for doing a day's work
then you get the reward at the end of the day. So it should be fun. Check it out.

Hey, I didn't really mention it earlier, but also we have all these collab drops and collab blends happening that different projects are putting together.
And there's a number of projects that are making extra blends using NFTopia pins as ingredients.
So they have exclusive collab drops. They're going in the the art gallery and then next to them is also
a blend to get the same thing using our pins and so the idea behind that is uh you're getting pins
you're getting them for free too you can watch twitch and you're you're earning free pins and
that includes new people so hopefully we'll get people coming in this weekend that just create
their wax wallet we have we're gonna have in the lobby, we have instructions for that.
We have a staff member to handhold if they need it.
And we're sending them pins.
