Have you ever had a dream so big? We gon' manifest our dreams. Build this world by any means.
Everything's on what it takes. All these fucking crazy dreams. Hey, when you sleep, do you dream
and remember? When you wake up, see for me, guaranteed that reality is made up
'cause I dream while I'm awake. Not when I am. Dreams is where to stake your foundations.
What you seek in teaching noobs about crypto, then I ain't gonna tiptoe around the fact
that I attract other goats like Dido work together peer to peer till riches start to appear.
Nobody don't interfere with the dream I'm having here. Crypto consorts, yeah we taking the lead.
Holding big bags and no PhD, but this dream has to end when I go to sleep. So goodnight at Gen
and don't make or manifest our dreams. Build this world by any means. Everything's not what
it seems. When you smoke and graze the trees. Yeah, have you ever had a dream that you were sure
it was real? Believing it so much, trying to conceal that you spend your time and money thinking.
It's a deal. Only to get wrecked. So let me give you my spiel. Sometimes dreams take a turn
for better or worse. Fake friends and real foes. Yeah, man, they're a curse.
But out of the box comes a surprise. My brother ride, dreams on the rise, holding events
and hosting meetings, free NFTs. Yeah, he's gonna treat us to beers and some food.
He's setting the mood. Building Cobra twice. Meet that working dude. Thank a homie.
He's really a goat. Even a deep breath. Make sure you go on
and pursue your dreams. Build this world by any means. Everything's not what it seems.
Yeah, you heard it. You heard it. Dreams and welcome to the ministry. We're here for episode number
two hundred and ten. I am here with my co-host Chili, and we're going to get into some Cardano
and some midnight. Just talk a little bit about the Web3 space. How you been, man?
Can you hear me okay, Mike? Mike, check. Yeah, how's it going, Rod? Yeah,
thanks for inviting me to the co-host today. Everything's going good. Having a good Sunday evening.
But yeah, just I ended up going to the the horse track on Saturday, so I had a good time.
Something something to do on the weekend, which is fun, you know. Oh, dude, that sounds cool.
You you went to the to this what is it? Not San Anita. I'm thinking with my LA brain. Oh,
the Del Mar, Del Mar, Del Mar. Yeah, Del Mar. Yeah, dude, I went there. What was it?
Maybe with your brother. I think I went there with Reiner like a long time ago though.
It was like it was like early days in San Diego, and and we were kind of just you know going about
and checking out. I think there was like um like a wine tour or some something that was going on
that that was like a little trip around the Del Mar area, including to that event.
I I don't remember what it was for though. And then, I think when they do the the fair,
I've got I've gone there for the fair. Yeah, yeah. So usually, the fair will kick off, and then
and then once the fair is done, then they start doing the the horse races for like
a few months after that. Yeah, bro, is that is that something
that obviously you know betting is already taking place. There, right? But like, is
that something I remember, dude? There was a big NFT. I don't know if you remember
early days Cardano. I think it was called Equine, and and the whole premise kind of was
that you would own a horse, and you would have to then get a jockey, right?
And and they were both NFTs, and they were separate. And then the horse head rarity
and like the jockey did too. And at some point, you were going to be able to like play this,
and you know, get gamified, and it was going to be super fun. And people really bought in.
And and I bet you, if we looked at Cardano NFT stats, those are still some of the highest sales,
even though this game never amounted to anything. Because yeah, people liked the races, you know.
Yeah. No, I I remember going. I think it was at a Rare Evil event, or they were kind of promoting
their booth, and I I took a picture. No, this was actually. Seeing a T Con at the time, yeah. Oh, G.
Where I remember they had a booth. I did the whole digital, you know, avatar picture
that they were giving away, and yeah, I just I don't know, yeah, where that where that project ended
up, but it was a good. They were onto something, yeah. Yeah, it's it's it kind of is one
of those things where like I I like on the show, especially when we have people that like come up
and and want to kind of engage, like ask questions about where the space is going, right?
So like we have our own ideas, and and that's something that we should kind of dive into as well,
but like. You know where do they think that the space is going? Because that helps you understand
just market sentiment, even from the homies, right? Like some of the homies have have been
a little absent, and so you're like, damn, the sentiment is low, right? Right. Yeah. So how do we
how do we raise the vibes? And that's something that we've talked about a lot,
and that we plan to just kind of focus on more with dreams as we move forward.
And and even even here, the slight rebrand to Web three Ministry is for that purpose
of kind of allowing us to yeah speak on Cardano. Of course, that's an OG OG home, right?
You're Cardano Chile, right? We're we're stake pool with dreams, but you know we also have Midnight
on the horizon. There's there's other chains that we're starting to also have more engagement with,
and so I kind of feel like you know we could still rep Web three technology as a whole
because there's different players in different domains, and and for me,
Cardano will always have its place. As as our stake pool foundation, and something
that you know we made those medallions. We got tons of branding, like our main logo
kind of features aspects of the Cardano logo. Like you know, there's love there, always. But also,
holy shit, have you seen what's popping off on Robinhood? Oh shit, have you seen
what just dropped on you know Ethereum or Solana? We're starting to see more cross chain action.
I just kind of wonder, you know, to to what extent is cross chain the way? Is what we've argued,
but then, but then there are there is still some maximalism, and and I I don't I don't know
how to feel about it. Yeah, no, I think you know, I think we're all eventually, you know,
crypto is heading. Pretty much in that direction, where everything's gonna be one huge melting pot
of of projects and cross chain collaboration. You know, oh yeah, I mean, talking about Robinhood,
I mean it. You know, it's it's kind of popping off right now, and I know that that there's
a few meme coins and other RWAs. Bro, I was trying to find one. I was trying to find a meme coin.
No, continue, and I'll tell you about my meme coin journey after. Yeah, yeah. Well, you know,
I I actually I had Robinhood, or I kind of. You know, I I basically created a Robinhood account
back in in 2020. You know, back when COVID was happening and whatever. And thanks to Robinhood,
that's what really got me into crypto. You know, that's where I ended up buying Dogecoin
for the first time and all that. You know. Interesting. Okay, yeah, that's that's that's
where I ended up buying it afterwards too, right? Like, okay, so that was a good sort of bridge
into Web three, if you think about it. Yeah, yeah. So then, I you know,
at first when I first started with Robinhood, it was because all right,
I wanted to buy some stocks on the dip because of the whole pandemic and all that. And then I saw,
hey, you know, there's these these crypto coins that I can buy. I was like,
every time I bought a stock, I had this like leftover change or whatever. Then I was like,
let me just throw it into this little coin I see here called Dogecoin,
and I would just throw in like the extra fifty cents or whatever, seventy cents that I would have
from buying these stocks. And then one day I just realized, hey, my little change
is starting to pump into like dollars. And long story short, I ended up, you know,
kind of putting a little bit heavier of an investment, and you know, it kind of took off after that.
So I was very lucky and fortunate, and I kind of, yeah, that's what really started getting me
into crypto. And then, you know, obviously meeting, talking, already knowing you, but getting to,
you know, know, learn more about Cardano, and just kind of all took off from there, you know. Yeah,
yeah, and that's that's kind of of an interesting. I've had an interesting relationship with with
with Robinhood too, right? So like, I I do have. Um. That was my first tool that I used to
to really get into crypto as well. It was Dogecoin, a little bit of like Bitcoin. I, you know,
at that point, I think I was I was learning a lot about tokens and and the way tokens work,
but a lot of it was on Ethereum. And and I you know all love to Ethereum,
but at the time it was really expensive, and there was a lot of risk of of drains,
and and I myself suffered a wallet drain, so it was just like you know I can't really lean on
this to to do what I want with with like technology, the technology itself,
like the idea of like wallets, identity, like smart contracts, like things that you could do with
these things that like you're seeing the results in the apps that we're using now, right? But like.
It was early days, so like we didn't have smart contracts yet to be able to do what
you could do with Bodega now, right? And like we didn't have smart contracts yet,
so like you could build a strike, a strike finance, and like, dude, they're killing it, you know.
But then it grew, it evolved, right? So that's kind of cool to see is is that evolution.
I think that's what kept me in Cardano, like you're saying, like we pivoted from meme coins into,
well, Ethereum wasn't so safe. But then it grew. Oh, that was a weird echo. Look it. Look it. Yo,
can you can you hear me, Chili? Yeah, sorry about that. I had a little bit of mic issues. Oh, okay,
cool. No, yeah, that was like kind of like a weird echo. But anyway, yeah, yeah. Um,
so it kind of grew into focus Cardano because it was peer reviewed, it was academic researched,
it was, you know, come and read all these white papers if you want, or watch these videos. You know,
it was it was it was just yo, there's so much here you can learn from.
And then never mind the community, right? Like one of the reasons that I really stayed was there was
a lot of people that. Like, like we do now, and like what what we continue to do with the show,
right? Even like resetting every so often and starting back from the ground up as community comes
and goes, you know. But like, dude, I I remember when the ministry first started,
Cardano was part of like what we would talk about, and that's why it kind of lasted,
and that kept me in it, right? Because we were just post COVID, and we didn't have a whole lot
of social engagement anymore. Like we had already met, but then we had to go into the
into the you know, hey, we're all going home, and and you guys can't hang out, right?
This was like before six foot rules, so. You know, it was a weird, a weird social trauma that
we all kind of underwent. But then, in that time span, I learned a lot about crypto and Cardano,
and and yeah, like the the meme coins that we're talking about and stuff.
And and and but Cardano kind of kept in focus. And I I don't I don't remember honestly how we had
the first conversation about setting up the stake pool. So please fill me in.
But I I still kind of think back to like feeling like man, I like what this tech is.
I don't just want to buy a token. I kind of want to like. Be a part of the infrastructure,
and that felt like one of the the easy ways to okay. Well, well, what if we support a node
on the stake pool, and and we just become one block validator, and yeah,
get get paid in ADA for that work. But really, it was like, yeah, how can we work with the network,
and and rep the network, and and yeah. Anyway, yeah. Do you remember? Yeah, no,
I think I think it was like your your academic mindset that really kind of you know.
Got us interested in in learning about Cardano. So at the time, you know, I I was like I said,
my first coin was Dogecoin, and I kind of I saw the the price action that could happen in crypto,
you know. So I got excited, like how this is this way moves way faster than if you were to do like
the stocks or anything like that. And you know, for me in the beginning,
it was like the price action stuff that made it exciting, but When you started to learn about
each each of the big blockchains out there, like Ethereum and Bitcoin, and you know,
you kind of started to learn. Oh, they they all work differently. You know, I remember.
I think we we talked about it in the past. Like when I bought my first NFT on Ethereum,
I didn't know what the hell I was doing, and I ended up like paying like a hundred dollars
in gas fees back at the time. It was when Ethereum was popping off, you know. So damn,
but it was a learning lesson. But I was like, dang, that that's how it works. But yeah, I mean,
and then when you when you started, tell me more about Cardano and like the research behind it,
and and then when I saw like you know obviously like the fees and stuff
and how you you know we eventually learned that you can you can send like multiple assets
and all these things in one transaction UTXOs. It was it was so very interesting, you know.
So really really good choice, you know, long term now. So yeah, and and honestly,
when you look at that's that's the one satisfaction that I know you share with me
because people will argue that the price is down and it is. But you know they'll they'll be like
oh prices down so token fails but but we saw the technology improve so drastically that I remember
one of our events where I was like bro this is not easy to do like this is hard like
how just getting tokens to people people just just staking just the whole process
was really just getting the ada from just initially right into anywhere like going from Coinbase
or a centralized exchange. To to a a wallet like at the time we weren't using Eroi much
we were using Eternal right that was kind of the one Eternal yeah and and that one
is you know shout out to Eternal they they did a dope UI I don't know if you've checked them out
recently but man that UI that we had was a nightmare like way too complex way not user friendly like
half the time I was like What the fuck am I doing? You know, like, what is this? Too much detail,
maybe. I don't know. The new UI is dope. I really, I really do like it. So, shout out to Eternal
and and the developments they made. Yeah, I got I got the extension, the the Eternal extension.
It came out really clean. So, shout out to Eternal, and but yeah, as you mentioned, like, yeah,
I remember back in the day when we were that was like the wallet that you know we would use for
the most part for onboarding, and it was mobile specifically. But you know, it got the job done.
You know, we got the job done where we were able to to delegate to you know help help
them delegate to dreams, and it just kind of was that that first step into getting people to
to learn about stake pools and what we do, and it was a pretty good experience. Yeah, yeah,
and again, I don't remember what what we maybe discussed as as like why start the node
and why set it up, but I think now looking at how the tech evolved, and and then eventually,
you know, really like listening to some of our friends who are on on ETH and Solana and stuff,
kind of go, you know. This is pretty good, right? And like that was a huge moment. Like, whoa, okay,
maybe maybe we were right all along that there was something to this chain, and and you know,
like like I don't have anything against expanding out to other chains
because really we sort of branched into Cardano. Like we were already doing other stuff elsewhere,
and then we came into Cardano, and we really again enjoyed the tech, loved the community,
sort of loved the whole ethos, and of course, like you said, way safer because you know you got
you got that situation where where you got charged the you know all that gas fee,
and you know like I mean a little bit of of financial kind of like. What do they call it?
Like privilege, you know what I mean? Like for you, that hundred bucks didn't didn't make
or break you, right? But for someone else who doesn't have as much, maybe, yeah,
that would have like put them in a in a dire situation. You know what I mean?
Like I got to get this done. I don't have that extra money for that extra gas,
but I got to get it done. So like you know, it's it's it's stressful. It's this the space is
very full of stress. Um, but anyway, uh, I think long term the tech has improved.
I think looking at it from that side is it really gives me a lot of pleasure to think, man. It's.
I'm so glad that that's what we talked about. Whenever we talked to anybody about about Ada,
like it's never been about price action or whatever. Like it's you know moon stuff.
Like it's you know we we have conviction in certain price points, but the selling point was always
the tech itself and how smooth it runs. Now, as as I start to build some stuff on,
I'm seeing what works well and what doesn't, or or what what I need a little more support with,
or kind of where. Where we are as far as what can you make with Cardano right now,
and so I think I think that that academic experimental mode is still why I love this chain,
and then certain things branched out of it like like Midnight, and and Midnight really I remember
us going to the Zcash meetups, and kind of like thinking exactly that right like wait
why why is there a Zcash, but not something like this on Cardano, or or you know,
and eventually we we heard about Midnight it was like oh okay that kind of is in that space,
and and what's cool about Midnight is that it can even work with Zcash. Right,
so I think that's one of those things where, long term, we have benefited from being exposed to
Cardano, and then and then also, as you know, we will be airdropped a certain amount of night
because we we were you know staking the wallet that that is our stakepool wallet,
and and that generated night because of the of the midnight glacier drop. So we're gonna get
free night. I think actually some of the thawing has already happened,
but I I would prefer unless unless you know you you have a another thought for it to do
just one claim once the full thing unlocks instead of like many claims so so we're not paying
multiple fees. But that's just me being like, do we do we need it urgently? I I could just wait,
you know. Yeah, no, no urgency, and as long as we know we we claim it within that period, you know,
I think we're fine. But you know, speaking about night, you know, I think it's.
It's so undervalued right now, and I think oh, it's a good opportunity right now
for anybody that you know wants to get into this this you know price point because you know I'm
I'm even trying to convince like my non Web three friends that hey man there's
some good buying opportunities right now you know well well night and night is
an entirely different case right like to some extent I feel the connection between Cardano
and Midnight because I know that they share technology and that they're partner chains and all that.
But the reality is that when when I was in Japan, for example, doing the midnight tour,
like you you really would have to ask for it to be obvious that that this thing
like was was connected to Cardano or somehow related to Cardano. Like it's a standalone thing,
and I think that that's interesting because we know that there's a connection.
Not everybody who is external to that will know that. So yeah, it's it's
like you're you're promoting another token in the zero knowledge category.
And and that in itself has value, and all the people who hate on Cardano will pay attention
because it's not Cardano, and if they happen to be on Midnight or Solana, well, guess what?
It's already compatible with Midnight, so it's like I like that. You know what I mean?
Like it's very attractive. You're you're right about the val value appeal.
What what was your your first sort of like like where did you where where was it
when it first launched that you were able to buy it right? Because it usually price swings
pretty pretty heavy. But do you remember what what your first kind of like buy range was?
So I I bought it on the on the first day it it launched basically, which is like four right
four four cents or something. Yeah, around yeah around four cents, and it was you know I think at
the time it was like two in the morning or something like that when it officially launched,
and uh I guess you know officially it launched on the exchanges, and then there was like this period
before you know people started loading it up in the dexes, so then I had to wait for
that actual moment until there it was available on the dex. And then I remember, I mean, the good
and the bad. I remember that I ended up. It was like I, I ended up spending like twenty ADA
or something, and got like five thousand worth of night or something like crazy,
because I don't know there must have been like some glitch or because it was barely
like loading onto the, to the decks or I don't know what happened, but I got a really good amount of
of night at the time. For for for that four cents. Yeah, at the four cent value,
but I'm saying like for that for my twenty eight, I have to look back at my transaction. Yeah,
and then but I'm like, oh man, that's a lot for for just twenty eight. Then my second transaction,
it was just like, okay, back. You know, now at that point, it was like charge. Hey,
charge this for double. We gave them a discount. Yeah, and then, and then at that point,
everybody was just buying, so it went went up to like whatever amount that same day. You know,
I I was dumb about it, bro, because I knew that they were gonna give me some night, like
because of the of the ambassador thing, and like when I went to Japan and stuff,
like I knew that they were gonna give me some. So I was like, I don't need to buy it, you know.
But then I was just dumb about it because I I think I was talking to Raza at the time.
Shout out Raza who had his baby and you know him and Nat all love to them.
I think he'll be back on the show at some point. It'll be dope when the three of us are up here
and we'll kind of do more planned things and more more planned conversations too.
But you know the the the midnight thing. My point is is that it's grown. It's it's cool.
It's its own thing, like you're saying. It's got its own appeal. I ended up buying some at the
at the same price point for about four cents.
And and you know we're not really supposed to discuss price as ambassadors.
We're you know just speaking as as an individual. I I was fine because I was like yeah I look
this token is just getting started. I I know how much we mined and what we're getting for the
for the glacier drops. I was like, we'll have a nice little bag to sit on of this token,
and we already have a kind of value proposition for it through dust, right?
Like this whole idea of a resource that you can then use to generate power for other applicate
or for applications that use zero knowledge. Well, like we're gonna be sitting on some night
that will generate some dust. We can offer that to whoever needs it, whether our own clients. Or,
or other, you know, other businesses that are like, yo, you have extra, extra dust. We do, you know.
Hey, let's make a deal here, you know, and and we can kind of power transactions. Basically,
is the idea there? So I think I think that there's cool value propositions for why,
as a stake pool operation slash fans of Cardano, it makes a lot of sense to just prefer Night
to other zero knowledge solutions. It just makes a lot of sense. It's already going to be compatible
with it because it's built as a partner chain using the base technology, so that's awesome.
But then, if you think about it, it also serves as a bridge from Cardano to the other chains that
you can guarantee is safe because the other chains are are using it to to engage with their stuff
already. You know what I mean? So that's dope, dude. That's like, oh, you want to transact out
of Cardano safely and you don't know another like bridge method? Go through Night. And I think. Uh,
one of the the what was it? Pandora? What the fuck was it called? Pandora? Pond? Something pond?
Hold on. That one. That one on uh Cardano Pulse. It's called
Pulse is um basically going to allow for for transactions between Cardano and Midnight.
So that's kind of like their their play right now. Is their uh? Let me let me go to
their actual homepage so I don't butcher what they're doing. But there,
there are also people that you know are new builders in the space because it's such a new chain that
you really have to do your homework on, like who they are, like what they're building,
is it feasible, what do they have to show for it, like. I guess
people can't really bullshit that much, is what I mean, because you can't claim to have, let's say,
like all this stuff on mainnet, let's say, because it's so new that you're like, bro, no,
literally no, you don't have that. Maybe you have a mockup, maybe you have a plan,
but you do not have that ready to go on mainnet. You know what I mean?
So they're they're allowing now for transactions between Cardano and Night.
So they they have yield trading, basically. Let me see more details. Here's how it works. Oh no
that that. No, they don't have they don't have an actual thing. They're basically a dex though.
It's an open source dex and bridge on Midnight that connects to Cardano,
and so you're like you know that's kind of perfect. That's what we need is is avenues out of Cardano
that benefit an ecosystem that also benefits Cardano. It's kind of a circular relationship.
So I think that's kind of exciting, and I know we've talked about maybe when the time comes,
if if we feel like it's a good move, then once they're no longer federated nodes
for the Midnight network. Then, then we can run a node for for night, if if that makes sense, right?
So, like, I think it's cool. I think the ecosystem's grown. Going back to the point about
why Cardano, and and now Night, it it just makes sense based on our experiences,
based on the safety, based on the good technology, seeing it grow, and then you know all the FUD
and all the all the negativity against it, and all those things that I guess keep people away
from it when they first encounter it. Well, we went out into a community that did not rock with
Cardano at all. And and we change their minds, just kind of being consistent
and showing that we are are a serious group, a serious project in our own like operation, right?
But also also aspiring to build stuff in the space now and provide solutions
and you know bring together community IRL and do all kinds of fun stuff
like you know the the events that we're going to be doing. So anyway, yeah, man,
like I I think we haven't had too much time to explore some of this stuff. In in interview format,
I think we should do maybe some other episodes on YouTube, but but for now,
just to kind of make use of the of the hour and and kind of get to the to the updates.
Do you do you have an update here for us on blocks for DRMZ? Yeah, yeah,
and just back to to midnight. I I put a I put a tweet on the board. I saw
that Wall Street bets that main account. Posted about night recently, and kind of talking about
how you know, as we were discussing about dust and how it's a second, you know,
how basically that's what what generates from night. So I thought that was pretty cool. You know,
it's getting some exposure, and people are starting starting to learn how it works. Hell yeah, dude!
I have that one liked, and and I think I I meant to retweet it, but I was gonna like write something
up with it, so I hadn't. But it's in my it's in my to go. That's that's a good one,
and and Wall Street bets doing it is even better. Oh snap, yo, we got Razo in the house.
I don't know if he'll be able to talk because he's with the new baby, as you know, Chili.
And and congrats to you as well again. And we're all becoming daddies. Well,
we've all become daddies now, and so now we can officially call it call a sub brand
the Cardano Dads, DRMZ Dads. Let's go. Dude, let's fucking do it. Let's do like dad, dad attire,
fucking grill, DRMZ. You know, I got, I gotta get some, some Costco shoes, man. To, to like,
you know how they say that dads start buying Costco shoes and grilling and stuff like that.
So leaning hard, dude, leaning hard. But, but here's, here's how we do it. We make all of it.
Branded, DRMZ, and Bad Money, Bob. Like, right, and then we we put it out for just for people
who might want to support. Again, like, you never know. Like, someone's like, "Oh shit,
I actually I do like what it looks like, non-ironically, and I want to support." You know, yeah,
RZA's coming up. Let's go. Brother, you are so hard to get a hold of,
and and I'm just trying to like congratulate you and get some news. And my wife's like,
"Show me the baby," and I'm like, "I can't, I can't get, uh, you know,
a pulse on this guy right now." And I understand, like, you were super busy, obviously,
with the birth, man. I I hope everything went well. I hope you guys are both healthy.
All three of you are healthy. And yeah, man, what's up? I'm glad you can chat a little bit. What up?
We survived. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. She's perfect. I don't know what to say.
Maybe I'm just biased, but oh yeah, let's go. She's just really, really cute. I don't know.
We're just a little work. She has a little bit of jaundice, I guess. I guess it's normal for babies.
Turn a little bit yellow. My mom said that when I was born, I was super yellow.
Even my eyes were yellow. Yeah, yeah. So you know, a little rash, a little, a little, little eating,
and and she'll be good. I think we had something similar. Yeah, so we're just worried
because she hasn't pooped. I mean, she pooped at the hospital, but since then,
and it's hard to wake her up. I guess it's all part of the the situation. But you know, new parents,
you just freak out for anything. Apparently, yes, one hundred percent. And I, I know, I know,
Chili's got some advice for you as a new parent. Let me just let me just tell you just real quick.
That's what I that's what I came here for for Chili's advice. Let's go. Then,
then I'm gonna give Chili the mic, and I'll give you mine after. No, no, well, congratulations, man.
Yeah, so you know, my my baby is about ten weeks now, so you know, I guess I'll kind of give you
the most advice I can, but but I think yeah, all that stuff that you're saying is is very normal,
you know, and I think just you know, with time, you know, everything will she'll she'll adjust
and change and start to kind of develop her her sleeping pattern and all that, but yeah, I mean,
I I can hit you up later, you know, we can kind of go into more detail some some advice, you know.
Yeah, I was thinking we should do a dream space sometime about like parents, kids, and technology.
Oh, bro! Listen, that see, see now. Okay, Razo, catch the rebrand. This is a good moment
to bring you in. Because now that is that is that for example the way you said it is like
yes ministry episode next Sunday on that topic we we are all ready to go because you will have had
a week or so of being a dad and like you are in the like just glory of it all
and like Chili has a little bit more of the reality as far as like you're gonna be fucking tired
soon you're not gonna get no sleep. You're gonna be like she's so beautiful, right? Like, yeah,
one hundred percent. And then you're gonna wake up in a panic because you're like, oh fuck,
did I like roll over like on them? Did they fall? Like, bro, you're gonna have panic attacks. Like,
it's gonna be joy and misery. But I I will say that by the second kid, you do ease up on it,
and and I say this only to suggest, just be present, be be aware of them,
like give them all that love and attention that they absolutely absolutely deserve from you.
And and you're good, bro. Like you're not gonna hurt them. You're not gonna damage them.
You know the the poop stuff, the health stuff. Yeah, it helps to talk to people about it
because like we had issues like that. You know, we had feeding situation
where where we didn't know at the time that like our daughter wasn't eating enough,
and and that became like a whole thing. And and we had to introduce bottles like kind of early
because it was just we were like worried about her health.
And we probably should have like looking back on it. What we did with David was hold off
a little bit more, kind of like panic less. Think more, and and we were like, you know,
let's just wait it out and and do it this way this time. And it was, I think,
way better for for Bianca, and it was way better for for you know our son. And anyway,
just I think I think don't let your your sort of anxiety get the better of you.
Like think about stuff. Try to think about what you'll think about that decision a year
or two from now, right? Like kind of project it forward a little bit,
because because you're gonna have to, and you're gonna make like rash decisions, and and just maybe
if I could like give you some wisdom, and be like. Just take a little minute and think about it,
and and try to not not freak out, you know. So like the baby's not pooping, okay.
Let's let's kind of give her more food. Let's pat her back. Let's like rub her sides.
Let's let's do these little like leg exercises that they'll tell you to make her to have her do,
because then you can kind of like move move her tripas, you know. So you gotta like massage
the the belly and like anyway like there's there's stuff that you could start to kind of do,
you know, like like definitely. Help her, like she's like a little, she's like this little.
I haven't even seen her, but I just think back to Sophia was like this little, nothing,
the tiny thing, you know what I mean, and so so dependent, so so needy on you, and and so beautiful,
and and we're all biased because I'm sure Chili's like, bruh, mine's the cutest, right?
And I'm like, hey, listen, right? So that that's reality, bro. But yeah,
if you know what would be cool to to make it like a full on ministry episode, to be honest with you.
Is is we would all have to share a resource, right? Like like maybe there's a video that
somebody can suggest, or a short reading, or or something that we can kind of like talk about other
than our own. And then that that's what would make it that. But but kind of going back
to the rebrand, Web3 Ministry, so that we can talk Cardano, Midnight AI, emerging technology,
you know, society and culture. Some of the stuff that you and I were doing for the last few weeks.
And I was telling Chile that I'm hoping that when you're kind of able to, you'll be co-host up here,
the three of us, and we can kind of do some fun stuff. Yeah, for sure. I mean, I called my mom.
She said I'll be worried about her not farting, and she's right. New parents, you know,
they just look so fragile. Like she just moves. At first, it was so weird just grabbing her.
Now I feel a little bit more comfortable. It's just been one day, so I know I got to give myself
a chance. But congrats, bro. Bask in it. Bask in it. Enjoy it. Fucking drench yourself in that love,
because there's there's there's really nothing like it, man. Like it's it's kind of a crazy thing.
Yeah, I definitely want the gene battle though. Oh, she looks like you. That's dope. Yeah,
I would say she looks a little more Mexican right now than me, but I know baby's changed, right?
Like, how long do you think it took for you to get like the shape of their features and stuff?
I mean, it's always changing, but yeah, yeah, especially with newborns.
I guess Chili could tell you about the more recent. Like, how how how much has your baby changed?
Yeah, yeah, no, I think I think by now you know this ten week mark. You know,
I see more of her features, but I hear it takes a little bit even even past this. You know,
it's gonna just keep changing, and but we'll see. You know, I think just with with a little bit
of time, you know. Yeah, cause honestly, I remember seeing your baby. I met your baby twice already
when she was not even a week old, and she straight up kind of looks like my babies. Hey,
I think we could switch babies and wouldn't have even noticed. But yeah, I like that.
I think that would be a good episode. You know, just go beyond technology
and how people are actually being affected by all these these changes in the world.
That obviously we're moving to a world that's more digital, more technological. Right.
And I was watching a little thing on YouTube right now about like parents that put
their whole kid's life on Facebook and stuff like this. Right. Don't do that.
The negative side of that. Yeah. So what happens once you put like kids on a blockchain?
What happens with kids with AI? That's a big one, right? We don't really know where.
What should they study with the world of AI and robotics? You know, yeah, this is where we're here.
Yeah, that's that's very much something I've been thinking about a lot. Actually,
one of our decisions recently, what was to move our daughter from her her current school
into another one, and and it's a more tech. Well, okay, it's more like innovative
and and it's not going to be necessarily like tech focused, but it will allow her critical thinking
about any subject. The school that she was at was more kind of restrictive, so we were like, "No,
we want you to have more access to tech," and so we put her on a path where there's a school
that's like a high school, a tech school. That I'm like, you know, that that would be a good path
forward because she's already kind of learning from watching me mess with Morpheus
and kind of play with the AI. But my my five year old son comes in and asks me, "Dad,
so what is Cardano?" I was like, "What? Yeah, you're always doing like like like like meetings
for Cardano. Why Cardano? What's Cardano?" I was like. Okay, so he knows how to say the word,
and he's heard it a lot, but he doesn't know the full details. But but he's five,
so like that's curious age. But my point is, you know, you kind of they're going to be around you
when you're doing all your work and all your things, and if you get the privilege
of like working from home sometimes or like being home while you're doing stuff,
like they're going to get into your ideas and your things, and and maybe challenge you on some stuff
or even give you more ideas just because they're they're little creative geniuses too, right?
So like it's it's a it's a it's a trip, bro. Yeah, remember every time sometimes when I I've gone to
your house to record, we gotta get chilly in there one day too. Maybe we should make it
where like we can bring our kids. I think I mentioned to the you that before,
but I seen your girl coming over and your son and checking out the green screen and the camera.
Like you could tell us that she was attracted to all that. Well, well, this is the beginning, right?
Like getting the three of us here chatting is a good start because now we'll get a little banter
going. We can kind of get used to each other's flow, and then yeah, just do do.
We could do episodes now live in a variety of ways, man. We could do whatever we want.
Like I'm down. I haven't really made use of my DJ yet. DJ? Oh, DJI mics. Yeah. Oh yeah. Shit. Yeah,
and I also wanted to jump in because I wanted to ask you about this yacht party because the us,
the crypto goat or whatever, you know, he kept texting me because we were texting in that midnight
chat. Yeah. And then he sight texted me. I don't know. He's saying, I mean,
we didn't 100 do anything because he was literally texting me as we were having contractions
and stuff. But he said maybe I could open up for him. I was like, hell yeah! Oh, dude,
that would be sick. Yeah, no, we um we received the invite. He planned
that when we were at Rare Evo. He kind of did a little side event, like a little a little beach,
not beach, like a little pool thing, and he was playing music. And I think you've heard of
his music label that he has, AI Music Label. And he's looking for artists, so actually,
maybe he maybe you guys should like work together, and he'll like sign you to his label
or something. You can work under the the label as like a one of the first artists. But anyway,
like he did this event. I guess it turned out pretty good, and he was like, you know,
I think what I need to do is play live shows. And him and Rick had some some thoughts about it.
And I guess what what ended up happening is that now he's going to be the main DJ
for the September event. So I hope you're coming. I I imagined you were because you came to
the last one, but we're doing another Tokenized Matrix event with with Rick,
where we'll set up the booth and stuff. And and honestly, bro, if you want to have like
a bad money section, just get some printouts made of some stuff to put out,
and like feel free to use our table, or we could have like a like a combined booth. But anyway,
like we'll be there again, you know, doing our thing like usual. And I had coffee with Drew,
and he's coming back. I think for that event. Yeah, dude. So he he's coming back for that event.
And yeah, it'll be dope because he you know he's been a little absent the space as you know,
but I want to go have coffee with him, bro. And he's he's like he's looking different.
I was telling Chili, I was like he bro bro was not rocking no go tribe. He cut his hair,
just just completely different vibe. And I was like damn dude. Like Drew was like I'm I'm done with
this for a minute, but but he has been working on some more AI music. He showed me a new track Chili
for for DRMZ, so he's gonna put this in the new album that's coming out. And and yeah,
he's gonna keep doing the AI music thing and all that, so that's kind of cool. But yeah,
he'll be there for the for the September thing, so we can all really party at
at that skylight venue. You know, but I think knowing that we're gonna be doing these big events,
we should plan to invite as many people as possible, but then also make our situation look
really nice. Have fun, fun, engaging things. Now we'll be able to to say, for example,
that we're giving away some of the Ada we'll be giving away because of the foundation.
Because when I was at Rare Evo, I was working the booth, the Cardano Foundation booth,
and all the leftovers, basically, of what they didn't or we didn't give out, they were like, "Yo,
take this to to your events," because they know that we're doing stuff.
They they were just gonna like toss a lot of it or or take some of it back,
and you know they were like, "Well, do you want it?" I was like, "Uh, yeah.
" It was like a bunch of stickers, like some hats, some shirts. Some stuff to give away,
basically for the community that rolls through. You know, we can give them like a like a quick quiz
on on Bitcoin or or Cardano or whatever, and then you know at the at the at the bad
at the bad money podcast, like come and chat. You know, type of stuff.
Like we can start to do more of that. I think because that's more fun. It features our brands,
and we're still we're still live at the events doing the same stuff. We're just carrying
different responsibilities now, and and using the space better, and cross promoting each other.
And just building it out, man, because we we all have brands and we all have ideas
and we all have things we want to see succeed. So it's good to it's good to have Drew back
for that event. And you know, he said he'd be around for for events that are just
kind of like we're hanging out. Like you remember Chile when we did the hike?
Like that would be a dope event to bring back. And then maybe like like a beach event,
a beach day event would be sick, dude. Like let's go to the freaking beach.
It's beautiful right now. We just went to PB, and and I the water was amazing.
My kids were like jumping around safely. There's like plenty of people.
Like you could set up real nice. It's And it was easy peasy, so like we could do an event
at the beach, right? Like let's fucking do that. Other fun stuff, you know? Yeah,
I was actually thinking about. I have some other friends that throw other meetups for game nights,
like big groups. But they used to throw bonfires. You get like a hundred people.
They're still doing it right now during the summer. That's when they do them.
And I know people do those. Let's go! Let's go! Let's roll! And they always bring out a DJ.
He always comes out as generator and stuff, and DJ Bad Money. Let's go, DJ Razo. Yeah,
that's why I'm glad that Drew is back. Cause I actually, if you have his link for his music,
can you send it to me? Cause I want to check it out. I was checking out a crypto ass, and yeah,
yeah, and and look, we had a conversation with. So me and Rick ended up driving to to Rare Evil, no,
not Rare Evil, fucking LA Crypto Crypto Nights LA, which I I got some thoughts, man.
But like this this crypto event is every Friday. They just do this crypto event every Friday,
and I I thought, bro, we we should maybe do something similar, or or if not every Friday,
then it's always on a Friday is the point, and it's just a consistent day where they meet up
at a bar like we used to, and just do the bar thing. So I was like, you know,
I think I think we will get to the point. Maybe in a little more time,
as you guys become more aged as parents, or you're gonna be like, yeah,
I'm gonna leave the kid with the with mom, and I'm gonna go grab a beer. So you're gonna be like,
yeah, let's do those bar events again. And I think that would be cool to do because now that we have
the DJs and and all the all those other technologies, we can do pop ups now,
and we could just record people on the street that want to be recorded.
And we could we could honestly, bro. Like, there's nowhere that we can't go now.
Just walking with our our one hand camera and some stuff in our pocket that we can't literally
onboard someone, giving them 10 ADA that they can claim, and then you know they're in. Like,
because because we have all all the cards from the the Poop Protocol and from Vesper Wallet,
so that's gonna be fun, bro. We can just like literally give ADA away,
and people can then try out the tech. So that's a huge win in my book. Um. So September,
if you if you're local, if you know people who are in SoCal, yo, let them know. Uh, roll through.
We're gonna be chilling at Skylight Venue, and and then we got other events too. Right, actually,
do do you want to share any of the ones that you that you're thinking about?
Because I know you you might have a hard stop at nine. I'm not sure if you want to stick around
for a bit now that Rosal is here. But anyway, uh, yeah, let's con yeah continue. No,
I was just gonna say going back to the AI music, I you know maybe Roso knows,
but I I've been telling Drew that I wanted to to throw a couple verses together, you know,
and I don't know if there's a way where you can do like an actual you know cut
or person to mix in with the AI. That'd be pretty cool, you know, because we can add
our own little twist. Oh, you you you want it? You want you want to spit it yourself, Chili? Yeah,
yeah. Like if I if I could put in my own verses and have the AI mixed in with it,
I think that would be pretty pretty neat, you know. Yeah, yeah. If you already have an audio file,
you can upload it and it'll work with it. Like, if you wanted to record it straight into the mic,
you could just record like a an audio file. Or, yeah, I think that would be the the best way
to upload the file and then have it work with it. Um, you might have to produce the the rap
a little bit before you upload it so that they'll layer it and stuff
and and then kind of like weave it in, but. You know, I say just try it out, man.
And and if if not for now, I still think what one of the things that we talked about actually,
actually, you know, this is like a perfect like maybe maybe concluding point for
for this particular conversation that does bridge Cardano and night and and NFTs and all that jazz
and music is um. There's a few albums that are going to be coming out soon, AI music albums, right?
So Go Tribe is putting another one out. They already have oversold and underrated. Uh,
I think they have honestly like two or three more that are out, but they're kind of like secret.
And then there's the one that's coming out right now when Drew returns sometime in September.
I know Rizzo has been putting out music, and he's got tons of music and albums.
And I got like six albums, son. I'm gonna drop them all at once. Well, well, and then
and then it turns out that Rick has been making music too, right? And then it turns out
that we already have some songs. But the point is, I told Rick I think sometime in Q4,
DRMZ is gonna put together a what shall I call it, like a sampler, right?
A sampler EP for I don't know, call it like Web3 dreams. Or or web three something related to like
summer Cali vibes right but the point is that we're gonna take two songs
from whoever wants to contribute that's making music locally in California so make it
like a regional thing and say if you are making AI music give us two songs your two best songs
and we're gonna put those in a compilation and we're gonna mint those as an NFT
and we're gonna be you know doing some activations with those albums and those those songs. Right,
so like, pick your best because everybody's got a lot. And then in the in the player that
we create for this experience, we can kind of point people to the full Spotify for Bad Money
and the full Spotify for Goat Tribe, right? And and the full Spotify for Dreams Media
or Dreams Music. I guess we can call it Dreams Music or something. But yeah, dude,
because because I've got I've got verses. I don't I don't plan to spit them myself.
But I've been writing lyrics like, bro. I I literally, that's that's my academic life.
Like I love poetry, so I've been writing some some bars that I'm gonna then put into the into the AI
to just do some stuff. Which is how Drew has made some of his, how Razo has made some of his.
Sometimes you just put some ideas in there, and the AI will fill in the gap,
and then you can adapt what you want to adapt. There's different ways to do it.
But I think I think it'd be it'd be easy peasy, you know what, Chili? If you wanted to do a song
like that, if you just did it over the beat, like the same beat that the machine has, right?
So we'll we'll make the machine version first, and then you rap over it where there's a break,
and then we'll we'll record your rap, and we'll kind of just splice it on ourselves, you know,
kind of thing. If if it doesn't mix it properly. Yeah, you know, I I just want to give it
that little bit of human element, you know, to you you get the the AI you know piece of it,
but then you you put a little bit of our voices on there. I think think it would have come out cool.
Yeah, one hundred percent. I I agree with that. And and so we're going to be giving away again, uh,
uh, some NFTs at the September event is the plan. Um, some music NFTs actually. Uh, uh,
Rick was was vocal about wanting, so he made a few songs. Uh, one of them is a dreams tribute.
There's a stand with crypto tribute. There's a go tribe tribute. You know, he kind of tributed
certain brands that he's like, you know, I guess trying to feed really everybody who's on
his sponsor sheet. That's who he tributed, right? And uh, uh, where was I going with that? Um. Shit,
where was I going with that? So he he gave the tribute back. Um, I forgot where I was going with
that. I want to hear. I want to hear everyone's music because. Oh oh oh oh yeah oh yeah yeah yeah.
So um, the music, the music. So so he wants to mint the NFT or or the the song that he made for
Carrie and and stand with crypto as an NFT, and then ideally because he doesn't really have
a minting service or anything like that. Chile, this is a good opportunity for us to talk about um.
I created a minting page, but maybe sitting down more more carefully and creating something more
like official, we could use to help our friends and business partners mint collections of NFTs.
I I think I'm 80% of the way there, but I think we should just kind of like formalize some of it
and just talk about some ideas. But yeah, dude, like mint for them. So we will mint,
maybe even with Drew's help, we'll mint the songs and then we'll give them away at the event.
Via like a QR code because once the tokens are created, they could also live inside one
of those QR codes, right? To be scanned and then claimed. So ideally, we could work with Adam again,
or or maybe we reach out to the Vesper people and say, hey, we have a These songs
and these tokens to give away to the community. So, all right, what tokens will I receive? Well,
you've got the Dreams badge. Welcome to Dreams. You've got the SoCal Web3 Dreams album featuring
all these dope artists. You've got Ten Ada. You've got maybe Ten Night. You've got a hundred starch.
You know, you've got like this can be like a little a little gift bag that we little goody claim bag
that we just give to people when we onboard them, right? Like that just feels easy peasy to do.
Yeah, chili. Yeah, dude, it's getting actually pretty pretty sick with that music.
I've been listening to as much as I can. Like, I want to listen to Drews and all them too, just
because I think mine's like. Well, we had a we have to face it, right? We live in a world now
where every song is gonna be possible. Now, every single mix you want is gonna be possible.
You're just gonna be able to ask for it. Um, so I'm trying to do something different. I think I'm.
I don't. I haven't seen anyone doing what I'm doing with the art, and it's different songs
and different genres, but it's all one message, right? So, and then each one is like it's
unique art, and I already have it on Audius and Spotify and. YouTube music,
but I only put one album out on those, right? But it's all one message,
and each song has its own unique art. And I'm trying to do everything that Drew and the Goat
and all these guys are doing, but I'm doing it one step at a time. And before I go back to work,
I'm gonna, it's gonna be, I'm gonna have like five, six albums out there.
Like I'm kind of called this like Chapter One or Season One of Bad Money or whatever.
And then what's cool now though is that I have access to all these tools, Chili. Like I,
I put in a couple tracks from my metalcore band Terror Spell from back in the day.
I spat them into Suno. And obviously it was like screaming, so it couldn't it couldn't figure out
what the lyrics were, but but it like covered it, and it was pretty good, man. It was pretty hard,
and I sent it to my old bandmates, and they're like, oh shit. To the point where I got my friend
Homer, who's a great, amazing guitarist. I mean, this guy can play like whole Tool albums,
Dream Theater, Metallica, you name it. Like used to be in my band, he's a shredder,
and then he started getting into the AI track. We have some instrumental music,
and he asked for the AI just to add vocals. So and it even kept that like that recording feel from
back in the two thousands. You know, like it didn't sound like overly produced. And yeah,
now you can. I can. I'm about to record my own voice, so it's it's gonna sound like me. And also,
I want to get to the point like you're saying. I want to perform my songs.
So there's a lot of Bad Money songs that I'm putting out that I can actually sing pretty good
because I'm a pretty decent singer. So I actually want to perform some of my songs in the future.
I want to be the I want to be the greatest AI artist because when I was in the band,
my my job was basically the producer, director, the creative guy, right?
Like Homer would play a riff and the song is sick. I'd be like, yo, yo, yo, stop right there,
you know? Like, play that again, man. And and then he'd be like, you know, he would play it again.
And all right, what what what have you add this? What have you add that? And then boom, you know,
we would get these crazy songs. But now with AI, it's like I don't even need a band. You know,
it's like I can plug in my bass. I can sing something like you said. Like so,
if you have a couple lines that you want to flow on. You literally just press record.
You you sing it as good as you can, and the AI is kind of take it and you can shape and mold it.
You know, so it's pretty awesome. I haven't even plugged in my guitar or my keyboard or my bass.
So like you're saying, I want to make it more unique to go beyond AI and just spitting things out.
And now you can break it down. My tracks that I have right now, I can break them down by instrument.
And maybe I didn't like one line, I didn't like one sound, and I can change those now.
So my goal is just to be the greatest AI artist artist ever, just because it's about the message,
which is gonna lead people to. This book I'm working on, I'm in like the 50th rewrite
because I think it's an important book. It's like I'm trying to talk about big, big topics,
you know, sort of the things I be talking about here, this digital crossroads
and and what's happening in the world. And I don't know, I'm really excited, dude.
Like I want to do everything the crypto goat is doing. I want to have my own yep parties.
I want to have my own bonfires. And I think if you guys did something like dreams brings together,
maybe a night of like everyone, you get a couple AI artists that are also blockchain, right?
So like me, Drew, the goat, maybe your music. Maybe maybe Rick will have some sick music, right?
And maybe we can all have a couple minutes sets, like half an hour sets. Well, well, well. So,
so a Rick and Oz already kind of had like a little partnership going. It seems after Rare Evil
because they they spend a lot of time together. Bro, Oz wants to work with me. Trust me. Oh, well,
great. He's been liking all my music, dude. He's like, dude, you got to be on my level.
We'll play your shit in my set. Right. Well, well, that that's just it. Like, see, he. So,
so here here's where we are in the situation, right? We're like, Oz has a label,
but not really the art or the artists. A bunch of us have music, but we want to determine. Like,
look. Objectively, some music is not good, right? Like some human music is not good.
So heard a couple tracks, and I was like, "Well, well, and that yeah, that's what I mean.
" Like you're like, you know, sometimes you're gonna hit it, and sometimes you're not,
and sometimes, I think if if your friends are honest with you, they'll be like, "Look, man,
that that was a miss." And that's okay. You can try again on the next track, right? But like,
I think the whole point of of sort of taking the best samples, in in my opinion,
is that then we could have like a curated list for a DJ set or something. And I'll say this, bro.
Like, I know Chili will agree. If if you want to DJ our events, shit, you are more
than welcome to do that. Because like, we would love to have that ambiance.
We haven't really talked about music and aesthetic as much, but I love rock shows. You know, shit,
we went to a fucking show together. Like, you know what I mean? Like, that side
is absolutely something that I would want to connect to everything we're doing with Web3. Yeah, man,
I'm down to do a concert event. We already did that comedy show.
We could really just just double down on finding a venue that can that can house like you know
a few a few DJs. And I'm sure that's right up Chili's alley too, right?
We can get all all our EDM friends who love all that you know shit to come come to our thing,
make it like a little a little gig, a little event. What do you think, Chili? No, yeah,
I think that that'd be a really cool event. Like Rosal said, a bunch of AI musicians, you know,
coming together at a bonfire. Something you know, some something unique, you know,
that we can bring to the community. So that sounds fun. Well, let's let's do it, bro.
And and as far as all our events, just in general, Razo, if if you have gear
or if or if you want us to, I guess like we can kind of go in on some gear,
whatever will help to make it legit. I know you have some stuff already, but yeah, dude,
let's let's. If if Oz already has like a close partnership with Rick and he's going to play
all his events, you know he's he wants to play ours too. He's offered,
but I know you want to play events too. So I'm like, well, all right, let let's prioritize you
whenever you want to play, and then bring him in if if you don't want to play. Right,
like I'm down for that. Yeah, I mean, I went. Ross sort of beat me to the punch
because I had gone to Rick, and I remember the last time he put on that show,
I was disappointed by like the sound, like I couldn't hear the speeches, you know.
And I actually wanted to hear things. Yeah. And it was cool that I recorded it with my camera,
and I'm glad you got a camera and mic now because we can do so many more things with videos now,
you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, but but at that event also, you're sacrificing if you're the DJ,
your you're mingling and you're networking and you're walking around recording your videos
and interviews. You know, you have to. It's not both. You can't have both. I'm an ENTP, bro.
I'm happy doing everything at once. You know, I'll be running the computer, the music.
I would press play, run around, record things. You know? Yeah. And now it's cool.
Maybe I can give Chili the camera, and then you have your camera, and you guys just capture things.
Yeah, I think the the one that I bought, the DJ Mo Mo whatever, I'm gonna put that one up
at our table. However, we set up our booth, Chili. We're just gonna be like recording.
That one could could be kind of like the kick stream if you think about it.
Like maybe we could even stream it through my phone. To kick, but yeah,
you you should have like one camera set like on your with your background
where people can just come up and do interviews, or if if they're down and they have something
or promote, then come up here and talk to Rod or talk to us and tell us all about. Yeah,
and we I'm I'm kind of like like borrowing a little bit of the foundations design from from Rare Evo
because I was working their booth, and they had basically just like a little podium, a little plant,
and then yeah, like you're saying, some cameras pointed at the Cardano logo in the back,
and two chairs so people could like come sit down and like interview, and they did interview me.
I hope that they'll put out the content or that they'll give me the footage.
But imagine how many more people want to show up to your events to promote their thing if they see
that, like I said, next time, yeah, we have a little table with your logo,
and they're able to talk about whatever they want to talk about. Staying with crypto,
maybe Rick can come up and tell us what he's doing with Token Matrix, yeah. And then we go
and we edit it, we splice it up, we put it out there, and you know, yeah. Well, and see,
I think that's where that's where sometimes Chili and I find ourselves lacking a little bit
of that technical. Like put the video together, like design it, the editing work,
like the publishing side of it. I'm like, we, I think we need some help with some of that.
We could put together raw content, bro. I got content for days. You want audio clips of the ministry
to fucking put out there into into YouTube videos with images? Shit, do that for us.
Like we have hours upon hours of content. I don't know if the AI images are made by the AI
that chooses what to take and what to leave, but they were all very profound conversations.
And there's like literally hours. Like we're talking hundreds of hours. Yeah, go ahead, Chiles.
Go ahead. No, no, it all seems great. Now I just wanted to also ask you. I don't know if you saw.
I posted the the event that you went to, Rod, over this this Friday. So I just wanted to kind of see
how your experience went, and just if you could touch on that a little bit too. Oh yeah, dude.
It it was cool, and actually, it was nice meeting the people who put it together.
I think that's why I was encouraged to say, you know, we should have
our own Crypto San Diego Fridays or something like that. Like, uh, maybe maybe if we
if we partner with them for branding purposes, that would be cool. But we could also just do
our own thing, like Crypto Wednesdays at the bar, like we used to do. You know, beer
and and and and blocks, whatever we want to call it. But we should do it.
And just keep an ongoing date for the Luma, because I don't know. Like I,
I think there's something to just being consistent, and people will just show up because they know
that it's happening. And and as long as we're not overloading them with events like we were before,
like when we were like doing like one a month, one a month, one a month.
I think if we just do like look every so often when we have, I don't know,
at least once every every once a month for sure. I guess we're going. I I would commit to going back
to the bar. Maybe maybe we post about Hobnautimus or something once a month.
Swapping between old Hobnonymous and new Hobnonymous, and just you know the church too,
the the the fucking Lost Abbey downtown. They they already basically gave us the green light, so go
and post up, bring our cameras, do our our our little mini show from there,
and and we could use those moments where we are live there on the spot on location,
because now we have the tech for it. And and that would be dope, dude.
Just doing meetings with people like what we saw at their event, which is honestly just a bar.
It was just a bar called Cafe Blue, I think it's called. I'm forgetting the name.
It was right there, pretty close to Koreatown. I met the founders, just some dudes
that again like crypto and decided that they wanted to build something,
a place that people could come to just talk crypto. And and honestly, the people that showed up,
there was people in different ecosystems. I'd say I'd say they they probably were a little bigger.
Then nah, I'd say the same size as as the Valerie event that we were a part of the the pizza
one the pizza DAO. I think it was pretty much that size people, but kind of coming and going. Uh,
but there was a homie from Avax because there's a pretty big Avax community out in the Avalanche.
Um, there was some homies there from like other just side chain other chains that I hadn't
I didn't really know much about, but but they're they just have sub projects on these chains,
and you know I just kind of. Pitched them dreams and what we're doing,
and talked to them about Cardano and Midnight, and just really gave them a a breakdown
of what's going on in our world, with with our agents and our and our music and our artwork
and all these things and our shows. Come check out our YouTube shows and come check out
our Twitter shows, all that jazz. Um, and and they were down to like collab and stuff.
So I really feel like at some point we should go back to. Crypto San Diego, you know, weekly
or something. Boom! Like we'll we'll do. Sorry, monthly. God, fuck! Do they do weekly, bro?
They might do weekly. They got a lot of time on their hands if they do weekly.
If you check out their Luma, it has the dates right there. But you know, we do ministry weekly.
I guess the equivalent would be doing ministry live, which we could do at some point.
Not right now that you guys are brand new dads, but like at some point, you know. I mean,
it sort of sounds like I was telling you should have like the AI competitions every once a month
or something like that, where different people can come. Maybe they can pay a fee,
so we can all like listen to to their songs or share their songs. That's sort of the idea
I was going with, because I feel like you're like you're right. We need a little bit of consistency
to build out the community, to build a little bit beyond Cardano, but still, you know,
hold those values, and we can always, you know, you know, we're always kind of sliding Cardano,
anyways. Well, well, that's why. That's even why I'm glad you said that, because that's even
why it's Web3 Ministry now, Ministry of Dreams, because. I was like, you know,
we're still going to talk Cardano. That's still the OG chain. That's still Cardano love. Like we,
we're all about it, bro. That stake pool, we'll keep running and minting blocks, man.
We're we're proud of every single one of them, and and we're going to keep going until that shit
is saturated, and we are making tons of blocks, and and anyway, we we we can then raise a flag
in victory. For now, we've had small victories, but yeah, man, I I also feel that because of some
of my involvement in night, where I'm like, I I can see where people kind of look at it
as this negative thing, but but talking to people at that event at LA.
It's clear that there's a distinction, a division between Midnight and Cardano in the minds
of people. So that actually plays in our favor, right? People will actually just like zk,
will look at night, and inadvertently be in the Cardano ecosystem or very closely be in
the Cardano neighborhood. And you know, I'm venturing out. I we were talking about Robinhood chain
earlier. Like I, we we actually ventured from the outside in. We used to do
more stuff in other chains before we came to Cardano, but then Cardano became home.
And and we love it forever. But all right, well let's continue to grow with the space.
You don't become stagnant and then hope to succeed, right? Like so, shit.
I have a fucking NFT on Robinhood. What's up? You know, I I have some some meme coins here or there.
Like you just got to play the game, bro. Like I you I get it now to some extent.
Like you could love. Cardano and its technology. That doesn't mean you can't go out
into the ecosystem of Solana and like make a bag where you know you can like, or or you know
other ecosystems that are coming up. Like Sui was doing good, and I guess now it's kind of dipping.
And and right now, Robinhood is the spot for tokenized real world assets and like all the things,
bro. They're they're immediately the number one you know Web3 exchange
because of their size already. In in the assets that they hold, right? So, I'm like, you know,
we we were talking about how how Robinhood was the one that brought me
and Chili in when we first got started. That was the tool that we used to get into the crypto space,
and then we went away right into decentralized land and Cardano and all that. But then now,
all right, Robinhood wallet. Let me check it out. Let me go back to my roots.
Let me let me see what's up over here with these cash cats and these. Right there's like a bunch
of stuff that I'm like, man, some of this is gonna pop. You know why? Because people are dumb,
and because people just like cyclical things will create the hype out
of just pure psychological desire to do it. Like, you know what I mean? Each of us fomoing in,
knowing I shouldn't buy this. You're gonna buy this. I'm gonna buy this. You know,
like I know I shouldn't. This is a dumb idea. Buy. Right, like shit is there? Is it? Yeah,
I think I think that cash cat meme coin. I mean, I I got my eye on it, man. Um,
cause you know it it that's gonna be like their staple meme coin, you know,
on that chain specifically, I think. And and you know, obviously, it can't.
It started off with like a you know, at the bare bottom, but you know, if you look at it right now,
it's not fifteen cents. Yo, full full disclosure, I don't hold any, but I wish I did. Cashcat,
that's not one of the ones that I hold, and I don't know anything about it. Yeah, no, I don't,
I don't hold it yet, but I've, I got my eyes on it, you know, because as I mentioned, you know,
like, you know, I have the Robinhood app and all that. I was about to ask you,
and it recently got listed on the exchange. And like that's that's kind of
how like you know those those things start to get a little bit of traction
and all that when they start hitting the the big exchanges and things like that.
And this is all NFA, by the way. Yeah, NFA. But I mean, you know, it's just interesting, you know,
how how these things go, and you know, that's exactly what I want to ask you, Chile.
I think we should do another episode. Like, let's say we do a technology and parenting and all this.
But another one, I want. I think like one episode should be like I think we'll get a lot of people.
Like, are meme coins coming back? And what meme coin should be looking about? Because yeah,
I was thinking, is this cash thing the cat thing about that Robin Hood meme coin? Yeah, yeah.
So it's a it's it's a meme coin that came out on the Robinhood chain, which is basically a layer two
on Ethereum. It's on it's on it's built on a layer two. It's built on on on Arbitrum. Arbitrum,
yeah, yeah. You're right, you're right. This is what I mean. Like they're trying to, you know,
it was my theory, right? With the maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm right.
The crypto cartels they're trying to to destroy as many projects as much as the competition
as they can, and they're gonna blast other centralized. Blockchains like Robinhood,
because so many people are already part of that world. So when crypto comes in,
they're not gonna trust crypto so much. They're just gonna trust whatever Robinhood has there
or whatever. One hundred percent. I mean, that sounds accurate to me. Like, I would say so. I mean,
going going back to that too. You know, when I talk to my friends that are not into crypto, really,
you know, that that's the first thing they ask is where can I buy it. And they're just always
the convenience to them is just having it already on these big exchanges, you know, like Robinhood
and Coinbase and all. Right. They don't want to go and download your app
and do all kinds of other things, like Nah, bro. But I mean, they don't. But they don't also know,
like, hey, man, you can get like ten steps ahead of this. You that basically once
once it gets to that point, it's kind of the top, you know. Yeah, yeah. Next cycle, flush them out.
But yeah, I mean, I think that's just you know, if if you really want to. Be a part of it and learn
how to do that from the get go. You just got to really get into well, well the the weeds
of you know. You know, for me, I did it also to learn about how easy is it to onboard somebody
onto this chain, and it is not easy to get on Robinhood. They made it easy through OpenSea,
and then like Shelly said, once you know, once they start hitting the mainstream,
absolutely that is easy to access the token, but. When I did it, and when I got my NFT
and all that jazz, bro, I had to go and like get Ethereum chain information
and add it manually to MetaMask and make sure these codes match. And now you've added the network,
but but you don't even see anything, and it doesn't look like it's there. But like it's bro,
it's like whoa, I this is like nah, you really already got to be in ETH
and really comfortable with it to to walk this path right here, because I have no idea
what's happening. So you know, I took my time a little bit, and and I determined nah,
I think people will come on board with Robinhood. As they enjoy the main tokens
on the main platform, like Chili was saying, and then when they get curious about self custody,
they'll be like, "Well, Robinhood has a wallet, so I'll just go with them because I already hold
my crypto with them." So done, and then you know that'll make it easy for them, which is fine.
I think the only concern I have about Robinhood is is do they allow for you to stake your tokens
with a stake pool? I don't know that part. Yeah, I'm not sure, and I don't,
I don't think I see an option within the. The exchange app, but I don't know. Like you mentioned,
I don't know if they might already have the wallet portion out,
but I'd have to research a little bit more. Yeah. Well, if you're a DJ
and if you understand trading, and this, I still believe we have a little drop,
but this is the time of basically to start going DJ, at least to put it on the record, right? Like,
I don't think a lot of people are gonna listen or care about, like, oh,
you should be buying this right now. But that's really when you should be doing it according to
to the technicals, right? To the lines. Cause, like I told you guys, Chile.
I've been going through the. I added a bunch of stocks. I have a whole section on metals,
a whole section on currencies, a whole section on war stocks, a whole section on semiconductors
and AI. I'm looking at gas. I'm looking at corn. I'm looking at wheat.
And I was looking at all these stocks like SpaceX and Tesla. I was looking at Facebook and Google
and well, call Meta now. Facebook, right? But I keep seeing the same pattern.
Like it keeps going to these like what I call the blood zone, right? The max pain,
like I like to say. And we're almost there with Bitcoin. It's like right below us.
So that's the part where I'm about to double down, right? I've been a short for like months now,
just because I'm so like right now we're getting a little bounce. Everyone's getting excited, right?
With Cardano getting a little pump, but We're right at the line, so if I'm wrong,
we're about to blast off right now, right? Because I don't know. I just have the lines.
I don't know what's going to happen, but all the technicals are saying we're going to go one leg
down to where the blood actually is, and I think that's really the time to start talking about
crypto and meme coins and what's coming back, what projects are still doing things,
or what projects are gone. Like, if you know more about that, because I don't really keep up
with that, so. Yeah, dude. There's a lot of projects that have actually gone away,
and to your point, it really just opens up opportunity, right? Like so many projects went away,
but we still need an NFT viewer or a music player or something where you can access your tokens that
you've been collecting on Cardano, you know, spaces and all that shit. So, yeah, dude,
I feel like the tech use case has to go up. We can kind of do something about that,
and then when when we really hit the bottom, it's who survived and who still sees a path forward
in this. So we can like really just just boots to the ground, bro. Like let's run it,
and and I think that's where it's kind of cool that we have the September event coming up
because I think by then we might have we might have our answer or we might be close.
And if we have our answer, then the party will be chill vibes, right? Like we'll be like, yo,
we survived the worst of the worst. We're at the bottom, bottom. It can only go up from here.
It can only get better from here. And if it's not yet there, then we'll just kind of party
in anxiety, and and you know be like, hey, so hopefully it doesn't drop more. But yay,
you know the market returns. But by the time we hit January next year,
you know it'll be pretty much like good to go, right? Jan by December should start to kind of turn.
December. Right. So like, I think we should close our our our season, Chili. I don't know if we
if if we have talked about this much, but I would love to do a a white elephant midnight party.
Right, so like we we we can do because because we can kind of just lean into the gift giving as part
of the whole thing because if you think about it, you're not supposed to know who you got, right?
Like it's zero knowledge, but we can kind of just make it playful and and yeah,
let's do like gift gift exchange over a certain a certain limit. We'll invite everybody,
and and we can kind of just do it amongst ourselves, friends and family invited, whoever we want.
And that way, when we do the big opening, we can kind of gamify that in fun ways,
kind of recording the the ripping and and what the gift is, and sort of like if if we were good
with it, honestly, if we were ambitious enough, we could do a whole production out of this
where we gamify using bodega, like who's gonna get the best gift, and like you know what I mean.
Like it could be kind of fun. It would take a lot of work, but anyway,
I think that's that would be a sick way to end. Oh, oh, and and one more thing,
because it's like a it's like a midnight party. Or, or like, kind of maybe we'll mix like
poker night slash midnight party, so we can get like James Bond vibes up in this bitch. But bro,
I want to play poker, bro. Let's do that. We have to suit up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
We have to suit up, and our girls can get all fine, and like we. And then bad money comes on stage,
and I perform. Hey, let's go! And then we open up the floor. You know, kind of yeah, dude,
absolutely. That'd be a sick party. And I show Drew and the and Oz and Rick how you do it.
Because I want to better. I think my music is way better than these fools. Listen,
I'm all about the competition, bro. So if you're gonna go out there hungry like that, shit,
let's do it. Let's let's put on this. Dude, I'm doing this with or without you guys.
I don't know if you understand, but I have a kid now. So and this is the only thing that
I have before me. That you know, I feel like I'm at the frontier of this thing, even
if people don't understand it. I'm going for it with or without anyone. You know,
like I'm doing this whole music thing. I'm gonna figure it out. And also,
I've been a little bit less Cardano Maxi lately because I've been actually getting kind of excited
about ICP two now. Do they have this thing called Caffeine AI? Where it's just it builds apps
basically. It's an AI that builds apps, and it's already I'm building my website already.
I want to get it to the point where people just scan the code and boom, you're going to my website.
Bad money, you can listen to my tracks. I'm doing what you're doing right with Morpheus.
I'm gonna have my AI that answer all your bad money questions. I'm gonna have a book and.
I'm already on Audius, so technically I'm already tokenized. And Audius is kind of cool, dude,
because you can you can do stems, so you can break down these tracks, like I said, by drums,
by guitar, and you can have all that tokenized on Audius already. My music's already on Audius,
at least my first album. But I'm about to drop six on everyone, and then I'm gonna
really promote it. I don't know how, but I'm gonna promote the shit out of it. Well,
do you have metrics on engagement for the first one? It's pretty much no one, dude.
But I'm not really. I have like 200 followers. Well, I'm I'm then saying you know just kind of.
Why not market that one to start to get some promo and hype, and then, you know, anyway, yo,
I I don't know if you if you want to stay on for a few more, Razo, Chili
and I had a kind of hard stop around nine thirty because he he's got to go
and we usually ended around this time anyway. No, same here. I was gonna say I'm gonna have to feed
my babes right now. Perfect, perfect. All right, then yeah, then let's let's just say our farewells
here, everybody. Thank you guys. For for listening in later on, it was great to be here
with Cardano, Chili, Bad Money, Six One Nine, Razo, and myself, your host here at the Ministry,
newly titled the Web Three Ministry. Still Cardano, now rocking Midnight, now rocking
more AI conversations, more to the roots of what we always were, but just the branding
just has to change a little bit. Like Razo was saying, you move away from more of that kind
of maxi cross, you know, specific chain focus, and you just focus on the larger the larger tech.
And I'm a fan of ICP. I'm a fan of the price point that I see it at. When I know that when it came
out, it fucking was like four hundred plus dollars. And of course, you look at it now.
I think I pick some up in like the four dollar range, or like sort of, sort of like low down there.
And then, yeah, it's going for like thirty cents. I'm gonna get a bunch. There you go.
So at that point, I think yeah, I'll pick some up as well. But going back
to What we were talking about with the cross chain stuff, you know, it's it's really we're maxies
about Cardano to the extent that we will always run that pool and we will maintain a connection
with our roots. But you know, Chili's a degenerate. I'm a degenerate too. Like we're over here,
like I'm buying NFTs on different chains. You know, I'm trying to get into communities.
I'm trying to just kind of have fun with it, bro. Like, yeah, I want to make a bag on some tokens
too. But honestly, I'm in it more for the art and the community. Now a little more of the music,
but the art and the community were the ones that really spoke to me, and so you know,
and then of course some some of these conversations that when we get them pop in,
and when we have like our our flow better and our rhythm better,
and even even right now I'm just adding notes here for the episodes. So chilly,
I I know we're about to go, so like let me just say last last thing, let's do a list of episodes
that we would want to do that sound fun, and we'll just do that, and we'll kind of like.
Bring in the materials to make them more like we want. So I put I put already crypto dads slash
DRMZ dads or whatever we choose to title it. But that one's happening next week, next Sunday,
and then the Sunday after that, just to have it like scheduled ahead of time.
Then it'll be will meme coin mania return, right? And then we can kind of take that in a bunch
of different directions. And yeah, we could just kind of schedule these out. So
if you think about any of them, chili, that you want to do, I would like to do a DeFi one.
And if I can get the homie Sean on here, then we could do a DeFi DeFi Revolution one or something.
Oh, sorry. I was kissing my baby. I think it's time to feed her. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead, man.
Take the mic and say your farewell here. No, yeah, man. I think, like I've been telling you,
the future is bright, and I think we're all gonna be homies. We're gonna be happy someday
in the future where kiddos grow up. I think this was gonna be worth it. Um, it's just
how how trading goes, man. Every every. Remember the dot com bubble and all that.
We have to go through that ourselves. Yeah, because everything's gonna be okay. No, yeah,
it's it's been fun. It's been a good conversation, and yeah, I think I think we're we're almost
at the very bottom, you know, if if not at the bottom. And I'm looking forward to like this
this upcoming fall and and going into next year. So I think we're we're in a good spot. Likewise.
So thank you guys again for being here and co-hosting. Shout out to you again, Razo, and your girl
and your your baby, and shout out to you, Chile, and the baby and your girl. And man,
it's so great to have you guys as parents now too, because you you will understand some of like what
I've kind of had to deal with, like doing all this stuff as well. And sometimes people are like,
"How do you do it, man? You got like you're here, you're there," and I'm like, honestly,
it's been a sacrifice. Like sometimes you got to sacrifice time with the kiddos to do some
of this other stuff and. We all got big dreams and we're sacrificing where we need to to make
them happen. And anyway, man, enjoy when they're cute and cuddly and little,
and you can throw them up in the air and like fucking one, you know, hold them like a football.
Like, not now. I can barely lift my kids, bro. So yeah, just enjoy it. They're adorable.
I can't wait to meet them in person again because I've briefly met Chili's baby.
I haven't met yours, obviously, yet, Razo. But yeah, man. As we do events,
we should do like like parent tents and like support. So,
all right. Good night, guys. We'll catch you at the next one. Peace.
