Getting real close to welcoming 200 new apes to the club this year,
which is our business here yet, and we'll talk a little bit about that later.
But before we get too into topics and what we're getting in here to today,
allow me to introduce myself as I bring up
Rob as well my name is Law of the Saw and I am honored to be hosting here alongside
longtime club members Dort and Marav. Dort how you doing today man happy welcome Wednesday.
Yo happy welcome Wednesday it's uh yeah April's Day. Got all the hilarious jokes out there on the timeline
about people selling their apes, about people buying apes.
And I'm not buying any of it.
I have to hop on the account later, figure out what buys are real,
what buys are jokes, and then welcome the real ones to the club.
But, you know, all I see today are real ones in the crowd.

month and uh man march just flew by um i'm feeling super plugged into the club in april
march i was kind of like yeah i was kind of busy with work a little bit like
unplugged sort of on the periphery trying to do my best to pay attention but april man
things are heating up feeling good

Hey, guys. Happy Welcome Wednesday. I'm doing good. I actually have not gotten got yet, but I am very gullible.
So as I'm going through the timeline, I'm sure some things will get me. I'll let you guys know.

Not today. I imagine your jobs are so much harder now trying to figure out who's
who's telling the truth and who isn't. What a day. What a day for Welcome Wednesday.
Yeah, we might want to get to welcoming people tomorrow after April Fool's Day is done and over with.
But yeah, the timeline's littered with people buying and selling apes.
So hopefully the dust clears up a little bit better tomorrow and we'll get back into the spring of things.
But besides April Fool's Day, we've had a lot of new club members
join over the last couple weeks and i see a few people down below that are that are new club
members we'd love to get you up here um tell us a little bit about your journey and earn your
cupcake as well but um let's talk a little bit i'll bring kang up here too let's talk a little bit about new month so it's april
and um you guys already know that that have been with us for a while now we like to highlight and
feature an ape of the month every every month and this this being our second month we're a month
into our website launch and our welcome package experience.
We've selected a new Ape of the Month that we're going to post about and get into shortly here,
but we got as well as an added quest that we'll be adding to the Cupcake Quest.
And so far we have three graduates of our welcome package experience with a handful of others getting really close to graduating as well so
i want to give a shout out to our three graduates 85 uh stephanie and and dupes um you know they
took the time to complete those quests and uh they are going to be getting a package put together by
us and some other partnered apes put together just for them
that for them taking the times out and being contributing members of the club and I'm really
excited for those packages to start going out and I want to see people taking pictures of them on the
timeline and and in hearing their thoughts on everything they get.
I'm really excited for that.

How are you doing today?
Hey, what's up, everyone?
Yeah, I'm Kang.
Yeah, I'm new to the club. I just picked up the SAPE on St. Patrick's Day. So I'll always remember St. Patrick's Day now. And yeah, I mean, I guess a little bit about my journey. So I started crypto, or at least buying crypto in like January 2017.
crypto in like January 2017 and I was I honestly was never into the NFTs until
about last year like when I started my X account here so so as old as my X
account is is how long I've been into NFTs and honestly when I started my X
accounts I I've just been like I started networking with the XRPL community, and now I've been branching out to other chains and just trying to meet everyone and networking.
I've been loving just the experience that NFTs and X provides you with networking with everyone.
So I love just meeting people.
And this year I went to my first crypto event in January. I went to Node in Palo Alto,
California. Went with the Nakamigos. So big shout out to Coop. She's the one who put me on to
the Mutants and Yuga stuff and the other side. And so I've been, yeah, just loving exploring the
other side and just having a lot of fun. So yeah, been, yeah, just loving exploring the other side
and just having a lot of fun.
So, yeah, that's just a little bit about me.
Kang, congratulations on your Admiral Mutant.
I think it's a really nice one.
And I love your story.
I love how you had friends that welcomed you into the club originally.
And I'm curious, after your welcome on the timeline,
did you, I'm curious if new apes are like getting the picture of the welcome
apes experience.

i just tagged you guys right away i was like i'll grab the thing and welcome that welcome apes because
i i figured i wasn't sure the process and then got familiar with it and yeah i've been trying to
complete all the quests i think after i I think the last thing to do is,
I guess, this Welcome Wednesday
and then the meet at the clubhouse.
And then I got to delegate my shadow to my warm wallets.
I got to also kind of set up my wallets and stuff.
I did the Boring Security 101.
Really liked that class.
It was lots of good information.
Definitely going to be taking the 102
because you know it's been a while since i've been like you know active on like ethereum because uh
yeah i you know i bought like btc and ethereum like way back in 2017 and then just you know
kind of swing traded and you know went through the ebbs and flows of the crypto market.
And then now I'm back.
But, you know, I came back originally to the XRPL.
And then now I'm getting familiar again with Ethereum and all the other chains again.
So, yeah, it was really good information.
So I really like the welcome apes thing that you guys are doing.
I think it's really helpful and a great thing to do.
Man, I love to hear that.
And if there's anything that we can do to help you out to complete those,
whether it's getting your delegation set up or anything like that,

uh one other question have you taken a look at if there's a regional club near you and um
have you seen kind of ape co's what i'm calling call to action for apes getting together in real life and

I did see the call to action.
I haven't looked at all the regional clubs.

I think I briefly skimmed through them,
but I didn't,
I didn't look too hard yet.
But yeah,
I am in the Midwest.
I don't mind sharing that.
I'm in like Midwest USA.
So I don't know if there's like a Midwest local apes thing,
but yeah, I'll definitely check that out
and see if there's one near me.
Because yeah, I've been,
after doing the Node in California,
I definitely want to do just all the IRL experiences.
It was so much fun and love just, you know,
meeting people face-to-face and getting that IRL connection.

Michigan, which is sort of Midwest, but I wouldn't.
It might be tough to get there if you're kind of like a Kansas
Midwest. Yeah, I'm in Missouri. I don't mind sharing that. Yeah, it's a big, it's a big area.
So there could be like a North Midwest chapter and a South Midwest and Southwest and sort of like,
yeah, like regionals based on geography or, you know, especially, you know, here in Florida, we have a lot of apes.
So you could have like two chapters, but kind of maybe in the Midwest gets a little more sparse.
So, but yeah, I love your ape.
When I see your name, Kang, I think of like this character from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, like this brain called Krang.
He's kind of pink.
So I like the pink fur and the mutant.
I think it's fitting for what Kang reminds me of a little bit.
But my brain is weird.
But man, it's great to have you in here.

But, you know, i have to get the
lab coats because i'm a scientist but if if i could choose another coat uh it would be the admiral

yeah the kang actually comes from like the first nft that like i uh like the first like rare NFT that I minted from the XRPL like from this
so that's why I like the Kang and the Frog because it's like I don't want to
like chill or anything but it's like for this project called Schweppe so I
minted like the Liu Kang Schweppe from that collection and it was like a rare
one so so he's in my my profile banner you'll see him on
the left hand side the green guy. King welcome I wanted to give you a welcome too and dig in the
Roxul background on your ape already looks like you're tapped in I love it and I definitely love your mutant too I just wanted to
ask you how'd you pick it what was what what caught your eye honestly like I had a list of
apes on my list but so I like you know deposited the coinbase and I was just like waiting for like
funds to clear so I could like grab my ape but like there was like five apes on my list ahead
that like uh got got taken before me before I could get it but yeah this one I was just yeah
looking through the traits and like uh I have like recently got a me bit recently too and he's like
purple and kind of looks like me and uh my grandma's favorite color is purple so just you know
shout out to her so yeah so I just like the purple and
I did see that the trait was rare too and he was on the floor so I was like all right I have to get
this this just calling to me oh I really love this sentiment I love that it reminds you of your
grandma that's really cool I actually used to own an admiral uh ape so it's got a special connection
for me too and such a fire trait but uh yeah welcome and so cool that
you've already tapped into IRL and you know we're always talking about like how that's probably one
of the best things about being in the club is just like meeting real people and getting to to go out
and do real things so it's awesome that you're taking advantage of that already.
Yeah, it's nice to have some like friends that are into the same things as me because it's like my like
IRL friends, you know, there's only like one of them that's actually like, in the crypto, but they're just, you know, like, they just buy it and they don't do anything else with it. They're not
like tapped into the community aspect of it yet you know i'm trying to you know slowly
plant those seeds and you know hopefully uh i can onboard one of them in the future
yeah someone said this the other day and i was like that's the perfect description definition of
like in real life hang with the apes it's like when i talk about anything crypto ai or nft related to
my co-workers they just like give me this like blank stare at me like like just shut up already
and then so when i get a chance to like go and hang out with some apes and talk about
like everything that we you know absorb online it's it's such a treat.
And it's refreshing, and it doesn't happen as much as I'd like it to happen.
So it's definitely something that we're trying to encourage for new club members to know about
new club members to know about and try to get a chance for them to make it out to one of these
and try to get a chance for them to make it out to one of these.
you know at least join a regional event so you can um our regional club so you can make it out
to event sometimes because ape fest is great and it's this magical moment but i think it's
the smaller meetups that really are they're they're the ones dude they're they're my favorite ones anyway speaking of which we might have to talk a little bit about ape fest speculations because
your time is just zooming by we're already in april ape fest will be here before you know it
and i think i i think i know where it's going to be but before um you know we could talk a little
bit about that some more but i want to get into some of these new club members that just joined us up

So I'm constantly having problems on the other side and asking questions and getting help and everything else.

My gaming expertise is Fortnite.
I'm not even good at that.
So I'm just turned 46 yesterday.
So I'm a 46-year-old contractor that mainly does tile showers.
That's what I'm doing today.
The only reason I made it here to the space is because I kind of got done a little early.
Got my floor and one wall done.

I've seen you in our Welcome Wednesdays we do in the other side haven't
i pretty sure yes yeah yeah yeah you're doing you're doing fine yeah i stayed up for that one
because i thought because because that's what you were saying oh we're having welcome wednesday
in the other side this time i'm like oh well sweet and i can cross that off my list
but it wasn't then you know i had to wait for this so i believe this is my last check mark on
all the stuff i have to do as far as the oh wow welcome stuff i did i had one issue though because I hosted a space, but nobody came.
So does that count?

So you don't have to do all of those.
I think you just have to do five out of the eight options that are available today.

like, Oh man, it's so close. Like I can't wait to get the identical match to it. But
the one I got, it's pretty close. I'm all about the orange. i remember the grandpa apes they've got a soft spot in my heart

i was just coming in when the leadership changed happened there
so i wasn't privy to a lot of things

but it was just story of my life i paid a whole bunch of money for an nft and then it basically

I know Kang was talking about buying Ethereum
a while ago
and Ethereum is like the stable coin
of the big caps
it's been $2,000 for 10 years now right go and ethereum's like the the stable coin of the big caps and in two thousand dollars for
10 years now right i remember when it was ten dollars
i mainly stick with like bitcoin eth and soul pretty much is where i've been since i don't know, 2020, 2021, something like that.
But I'd taken a few years off, not intentionally.
I just kind of got really busy. And, dude, I was in so many Discord servers.
It was unbelievable.
I had folders just so I could organize them into ethereum and soul and bitcoin it was just
ridiculous and i i just didn't have the time and i got busy at work and stuff like that and then
uh i i'm in a project that didn't didn't make it but we still have the discord like i made really
good friends with these guys and we hang out like every weekend like we have Fortnite Friday and and that usually bleeds into Fortnite Saturday also and then Fortnite Sunday
but you know it's we still hang out and stuff in there even though we're not even really involved involved in the in the nft scene much and we just happened to be looking at my wallet and
i was able to rotate and get rid of some junk and come up with the funds to grab my
grab my mutant so here i am long story short here i am
that's a great story oh go ahead dork yo i don't even know if i'm on stage anymore but um i just uh
i wanted to wish you a belated happy birthday it looks like that was yesterday um oh yeah
yeah i want to say uh i think your iron man suit is it's fucking insane dude um yeah it's
yeah i know i know we caught you in uh other side like
a week or two ago but right um but yeah again i want to say just like marav said your mutant is
dope i love the orange the golden brown with the orange just just hits um differently so you know
congrats again welcome to the club you know we're gonna make sure you get through that welcome

so I recently jumped into that.
So yeah, some exciting projects.
And I like the grandma and grandpa talk today.

Yeah, that's the MK6 suit that you see.
I'm currently, like, I'm big time into 3D printing. I actually have a miniature little baby hitch for my truck that I'm running out of ABS right now as we speak.
And then I have some tools for work. I got'm running out of ABS right now as we speak. And then I have some
tools for work. I got to run some more ABS. And, uh, what have you been printing?
A lot of stuff for everybody, but me, but I did print this sweet, uh, little shelf that hangs on the wall and then there's like a portrait of my ape that goes down in it
and the shelf's like surrounded by flames and then I put a 0.2 nozzle on and printed out these real
tiny like inch and a half size ape skulls and I did one normal out of bone white.
And then I realized I had this fluorescent green that glows in the dark and decided to run it out of that.
And I just kind of like set it on there.
But other than that, I am currently working on my Mark 85 suit to replace my Mark 86.
Got my helmet and my gloves done so far haven't had time to really work on it in the past few weeks
i've had a lot of stuff for other people and a lot of stuff for work that i've been
printing but hopefully soon i can get back at that because the the one that
you see you know my pictures on my profile or whatever it's very cumbersome it's uncomfortable
like I can't do steps I can't really jump around or anything in it and the the new one will be much more form-fitting and it's a tighter fit like i'm
kind of a geek about iron man but like if you know anything about iron man like the evolution of the
suits when he gets into the nanotech like it they really are streamlined tight they look better. They're not so bulky. So they're somewhat easier to print and get to fit better so that you're a little more mobile.
But yeah, that's pretty much my story. I'm an Iron Man geek. It is what it is.

bang bang i'm officially in the macy member something i'm noticing a lot from new club
members is the reference of basie and macy and i feel like that's, um, you know, that's a, that's a conversation
that maybe I was thinking we should maybe get into here at some point. And, uh, there might
be some people out here that tell you that it's pronounced M-A-Y-C, um, not Macy. But, um, I think
Illa recently said that he likes the Basie, Macy reference. So, yeah.

So, being so new, I put it on my post that it's a Macy, right?
It's a mutant ape.
And to me, there is two, like, different collections.
You got the Bored Ape Yacht Club and the Mutant Apes and so I referenced
the the Mutant Apes and then somebody corrected me saying it's all one which I love like I love
being a whole community I think that's great and so thank you to whichever one corrected me because
you know I feel the vibes all the community and all the apes together strong so

welcome package experience so i went onto the website and i just seen that my post was up there
that's amazing and everybody else's i went and followed all the new apes and all the apes the
whoever already followed me i'm trying to get to everybody. But I also heard about Mewin Hounds
and I joined the Discord on the Quartel. And so I'm really new. It's all overwhelming.
I haven't got to the welcome package yet. So if there's anything that I need to know right now,
you know, I'm happy to learn. I'm excited to get involved with the community and partner up with people. It's really exciting.
You're right. I mean, there's a lot going on right now in our little ecosystem. And we made
the welcome package in mind for, like, we thought about what it's like for a new club member to join and
like not knowing anything and how they could kind of like get their boots on and and get started on
their journey and kind of see what's out there and where they fit in so we've designed this thing
that we've called the welcome package experience for you to um essentially just like be a contributing
member of the community and finding your footing.
So there's things in there like getting your wallet set up to attending a free course with boring security.
Things like joining these community events online like Other Space and Render Pool
and essentially just plugging in with
the community and and doing things like that um even getting in you know linking up with an ape
chain community um so we it's it's doing things like that we've put together a list of quests
for new club members to do and once you complete that quest and you show that you show
your proof of doing so we we're going to mail you out a package that's put together by us and
our partners um for free we're going to we cover the shipping um it's going to contain physical

standout member of the club it doesn't matter if you've been here since the early days or just

the month um tropical has been consistently showing up for
the community through his weekly render pool show where he showcases educates and inspires others to
start building in the other side he's done more than just host a show he's helped cultivate a
real community of builders and created a home base for those looking to get involved in game
development across the ecosystem he's also pulled up up to our welcome Wednesdays recently to share his knowledge
and talk directly with new club members, answering questions,
offering guidance and making the path to the other side feel more accessible for
everyone. Really appreciate Tropical for
doing that. And we appreciate everything he does for the club. Thank you

working on other side even you know odk stuff in fact we love new tropical so excited of the
cinema that we were building absolutely yeah yeah we had early projects, you know, the cool little backstories. You know, one of the first like builds I did in the ODK was kind of in collaboration with Board 8 Knob Club, you know, and I still have, you know, the environment all there and everything, you know, we had been talking about live entertainment and things like that since, you know, way back in the day, you know, that was already in our minds.
And, you know, we were trying to work towards that.
And, you know, still to this day, you know, we're seeing things like that happen, you know, with the MML world and stuff.
But yeah, yeah, shout out to the Board Art Knot Club and Javier too.
and Javier too you know we were always in talks and stuff back in the day so uh this is really

special to be up here with a lot of OG uh apes who who you know we've seen each other kind of
move to this space over a long period of time uh but yeah uh yeah I don't know thanks I'm not sure
uh how to go about it but uh yeah like I run the render poll, like, you know, Law was saying.
And, you know, my for me, it was just, you know, I was looking around at the communities that were out here, you know, things that they were focusing on.
And I just kind of felt like at the time ODK came out, there was kind of a void on like game development knowledge.
And I was already doing 3DR before before i entered the nft and crypto space
um so like in 2020 coming in you know coming in as like a one-of-one artist as we used to call
back in the day before profile pictures were a thing uh you know i had got accepted into super
rare and i was just kind of doing my thing minting art but profile pictures dropped and kind of like
just shook the whole thing up and uh apes were a part of that and um you know all of a sudden
the metaverse thing popped off this and that uh and you know that kind of struck me as like the
way to go you know I started seeing the metaverse idea kind of become a thing um and you
know it it it told me in my mind like hey this is a possibility right like nfts profile pictures ip
identity and and all of a sudden you had gamification on top of that just kind of made a
lot of sense but yeah once odk dropped i was like oh man this is it for me. And so, you know, definitely just head down,
focused on ODK, trying to understand it more. But it definitely has felt like this past year,
and even more so these past several months, as you know, other side has gone live, that I feel
like things have been speeding up. And, you know, it's finally kind of given me a chance to kind of express myself like more in the medium that I enjoy.
So, you know, doing game development and sharing it with the community was like the way to go for me.
So everybody was hungry for ODK and I kind of saw it as this opportunity to say, you know, there's a lot of kind of like, it's not very clear, right?
It's not very clear what it was, how it worked, and how we could utilize it, you know, within our own community.
So, you know, I was just trying to demystify that, explain things, let people know that it's not so scary, or it's not so, you know, or they could get involved in their own way, and it could be as dense as they wanted it to be.
So, yeah, that was the Renderpool's kind of goal.
The mission statement, if I could say,
was to just sort of like demystify 3D arts
and game development,
answer questions when people had them
and just kind of have a location,
which is the Discord now, you know,
it's kind of what it's been like.
The Discord has been the go-to place
for people to hang out and ask questions and talk uh so that's all i'm i'm kind of bring i'm like trying to
sneakily bring people over to the discord and hang out and have a good time but at the same time you
know they're learning about 3d art they're learning about game development and you know they're not
kind of scared about it because they're there with friends and other people.
So, yeah, so it's been special to go to the Welcome Wednesdays lately.
I've been trying to catch them every time now.
I figured, you know, any new apes that come in and if there's anyone there who's technical or into programming or maybe they're into art, you know, like they're creative in their own way.
You know, I want them to come by and hang out you know treat it as a hangout spot um i was joking last time that uh somebody was saying hey
well i'm more of a traditional artist and i do watercolor and stuff and i was like bro
if you live stream yourself doing watercolor i'll be right there checking it out i don't care uh you know we have all kinds of cool
artists in the space doing cool stuff you know from traditional art to technical art and uh so
for me it's i think you know we've seen in game development you know all forms of art go into
play i mean look at movies right in film production right it's like you have you know music you have dance choreography acting you know
you have presentation right like people you know saying lines memorization writing story narratives
like there's so much that goes into it and games are the same way that games are a celebration of
like all forms of art we're kind of mashing all together to become one singular you know uh work of art and you know games are i think
are kind of a high points of arts to me in my opinion they're really kind of a high points of
bringing all art forms together just like the way movies and film are and stuff and even music um
so you know if we can get everyone in to just participate,
I think something really cool can happen in this space. As far as like, who knows?
Maybe two people meet in the Discord
and suddenly start their own game project
or we can all come together
and do one singular art project together.
So yeah, anyways, yeah, I'll stop'll stop yapping but yeah that's kind of
what the render pool is about and that's my passion project at the time uh shout out to
crypto angie crypto angie's been super helpful for me she's been kind of like my right hand on this
uh organized planning you know uh thinking of new ideas a way to bring more people in, the way to keep people in
the Discord entertained, promotion, you know, making renders for me to like post, you know,
for the day of these interviews. So, you know, I'll have a lot of respect for her and appreciate
her help on this. You know, she's really helped me to make the render pool what it is. Also, MD Codes is another right-hand person to me,
a technical person doing development.
They created the renderpool.com website.
So you can participate in the website and do 3D art,
upload it, and we have a 3D viewer,
and it turns it into an MML file.
I can take that MML file and drop it into the
vibe maker world uh so you know that was the render pool hotel project so if you're interested in you
know coming together with like an art project that's in 3d and you want to you know show off
some skills you know go to the renderpool.com check it out and you can build your own room in 3d
in blender there's a template there you can download if you need help just go to therenderpool.com, check it out, and you can build your own room in 3D in Blender.
There's a template there you can download.
If you need help, just go to the Discord and ask,
and I'll be there to help out.
But you can upload your own room,
kind of like The Sims or Habba Hotel or something like that. And yeah, upload a room,
and we can stick it into the VibeMaker world.
That way everybody can kind of run around
and look at your creation.
So with this core team that I've had with Crypto Angie and MD, we're really trying to make, you know, let people have fun with 3D art and, you know, utilize the tools that we have here.
You know, like MML, the Vibe Maker world, ODK, to let people mess with the tools in a really simple way
and just kind of like, yeah, I don't know, do it together.
Do it together.
Tropical, that was beautiful.
And I don't know about you guys,
but I could listen to him talk all day.
I really could.
So inspiring.
So much to learn from you.
And I love that you just kind of bridged all these connections with gaming and with film and art.
It's just, it's awesome.
You have so much passion for this.
It shows, comes across, and we love you.

like, when we were trying to think of who, who would be Ape of the Month, there's a lot of names
that came up, but just, just yours just jumped out with how active you've been and how much a leader in this space
you are how much an expert you are at what you do you know of course you're you're the you're an og
ape but for me really most importantly is like it's just your approachability um i feel like i
could talk to you and be a complete neophyte with this stuff and you would be down to just teach me at the
drop of a the drop of a hat um and you can just really see when when someone deeply when they
deeply give a shit about something and you deeply deeply care about this and you know there is there
is a little bit of dissonance i feel between like the OG OG OG apes and really the future with other
side and lands and building and I feel like you are just like one of a few people that is just
such a very important conduit very important bridge between those two kind of layers of the club
and you give me hope that one day I'll be able to build on my land when I have the time and that you're going to be there as a resource, just helping us figure all of this out.
And I think that is just one of the most valuable things I can think of right now.
And so with that said, it gives me a lot of joy to give you this sort of ceremonial award from Welcome Apes.
But you are so deserving of it.
So thank you for showing up. Thank you for giving a shit um we love you man
uh damn dude that's that's super special this is a very warm space thank you thank you um
uh yeah yeah like i don't know man i like you know I'll be honest with you. I think for the first years of the whole BAYC thing, I was pretty quiet. I was just kind of in the background, honestly. I don, just doing side projects. And I was kind of happy with that, to be honest.
I didn't really see myself as like holding a space or a community platform or anything like that.
But like I said, once ODK went live, it was finally the right tool in the space that wasn't dealing with economics.
It wasn't dealing with like
you know floor prices or the value of things this is just a tool this is something technical
dealing with games and art and so I I dove deep into it even though it was so like ambiguous and
strange there wasn't a lot of people fully understanding it. You know, at the early days, it was me, Bailey, and Rita.
And us three had access, right, along with Von Doom too, right,
and the command line team.
And in those early days, it was just very quiet, right?
We were trying to understand what this tool was
and how we could provide our input to make this thing better
so that apes later on could have fun with
it and do something cool um so like you know i i knew it was something of interest i knew it was
something powerful there as far as like all the tools you know that where they're providing us
like come together with hundreds of players you know i mean we see like the other games events
you know every weekend bringing in hundreds of players together that would not be possible without this sort of tooling
so you know for me it was just like finally a chance to do something in the space that um was
providing something right so like for the render pool example you don't need to buy anything there's no nft
gated entry nothing nothing i don't want anything like i think having people show up and be excited
is the fuel that i need to make me excited and do my own thing too right like i'm not uh i'm not
really going anywhere, right?
Like I know this is where I want to be.
That's said and done.
I love this community
because there's always like someone doing something.
Everybody here's a go-getter,
an entrepreneur or something.
But if they're also creatives,
they're also pretty hungry too, right?
Like we're here for a reason.
You know, I won't lie.
I bought some coins and stuff in the early days and everything.
But, you know, we're hungry for movements and seeing things, you know, play out.
But if we could attach this technical thing onto it, you know, I was like, man, you know what?
I think I'm going to keep my head down on this.
And it just made a lot of sense for me and so with the render pool it was just seeing
little by little that every time i had a show someone new would show up and say yo this is dope
i want to learn that too and you know it's not the biggest show in this space but it has a constant
crowd it's like the same people show up and someone new shows up pretty often and i think
that tells me that something here is going right you know something something's giving here and um
you know i've ran into some cool people like honeybee mac hype g spot uh you know who have
been super supportive and you know coming together with game ideas and stuff. Haifa is another good friend of mine doing technical stuff in a creative way.
So, you know, the more I gave to the community in this like really kind of like just pure way,
the more of that purity I kind of kept getting back.
And so like I've been meeting a lot of really great people in the past several months
that have just really been activating me.
So if I have any advice for any new apes in the space, like, you know, what you dive into and what you pursue, like, you know, think about the purity level on that, you know, and think about what you're putting in.
It's not always easy, but like if you keep at it, like even with the render pool,
I wasn't quite sure a couple of episodes
in how long this would last,
but I just had my 41st episode this week
and I interviewed the command line team
about their Blitz game,
which to me is like such a treat.
And for my 42nd episode next week,
I can announce it here. i'll have i'm gonna have
figgy on the show and he's gonna come on and talk to us for a little bit about odk and other side
so you know it's like you keep doing your thing and people show up and they see you and um that's
that's what i can tell maybe to new apes out there is like if you find something you know that you're really into you know uh don't let up you know keep doing it uh because those who want that same feeling are
gonna you know dip their toe in the water and they're gonna hang around too so yeah keep pushing

which I did this medieval scene with my ape in a knight's armor
with a castle in the background.
And yeah, there's this cool shot of a little medieval village,

The second environment
is actually the acoin bank that i designed for the sandbox board ape world so uh the first
metaverse environment for the board ape uh project was uh the sandbox world that was like on their um
on their roadmap and so i was the creative lead on the sandbox project back in the
day it was called miami 2035 and this was like before acoin had really kind of fully launched
like it was on the verge and stuff and so i we designed a bank and built it out in sandbox um
and then uh the last environment there's this really dope kind of like marble Roman pool, but in a very like vaporwave kind of style.
It was like some of my early work, I did like music videos and album artwork for a lot of like electronic musicians like online.
I was already an online DJ before crypto and NFTs.
I was just like, that's how I was finding my work with connecting with like other weirdos online as well.
So that's super special that you caught that environment because that means a lot to me.
That's a very near and dear environment that I built out for a music video for a friend of mine.
And we even did some like virtual reality stuff with it and everything.
It was a really dope period of time for me.

you tapped into the other side uh is there been playing a lot when I can. I'm actually, I'm a general superintendent in real life, so I travel a lot, but I've been making time. content and game development. And it's funny because I posted some stuff and my account
like blew up and I have so many projects asking me to do their upcoming collections or existing
collections to make avatars for them and put on the other side. So it's been kind of crazy lately.
Like I never, like it's just a hobby what I do.
I've always been kind of a nerd.
And when I first got into NFTs,
I really thought that the IP would go really well
into the gaming world.
And at the time, like in like in 2020 21 nobody was doing that
and i knew how to code and stuff but i didn't really know the 3d side of it so i just like
started teaching myself and uh it's funny because like in the beginning it was everything was so
secretive if you weren't uh like formally educated uh 3d artists they didn't really want to
like give you the time and it was difficult and um so i've always like now that i'm kind of where
i'm at i'm always willing to like chat with people and help them out and explain my process and stuff
and what's really cool is like since I've gotten into here and like looking with
like what Tropical's doing with the render pool and stuff and just the community
overall, like the 3D artists and developers that are in the space, like it's awesome
to see so many people that are just wanting to help others and and not
charge anything for it and share the knowledge and that's i mean that's right up my alley i'm
a big fan of everything that's going on in this space right now you said something that's very um
You said something that's very,
it resembles with me as well as,
as you came into Web3 or, you know,
buying NFTs as a hobby and now you're, you know,
you're finding, discovering new skills.
And if you want to,
it could be like a new job or a new career for you.
And it's more than just,
it becomes more than just a hobby.
And that,
I think that's one of the the secret sauces to board api club is you may not know what you're expecting to get yourself into
but you you get you like people like you man you pick it up fast and then you and you're like okay
this is really cool um that's some of the secret sauce, I think, that this club has to offer.
It's funny because, you know, I made a post about when I bought my ape,
I was wondering if I was going to have, like, buyer's remorse and stuff
because there's just, you know, a lot of blue chip projects.
They get people that just hate on them and stuff like that.
And obviously, it's a, it's,
it's a big investment and maybe not for everybody, but for the average person. And what's funny is
I felt like with everything that I do and stuff like that, that being an ape would actually bring me more opportunities to work with people like myself.
And now that I'm here, I am kicking myself in the ass for not joining sooner. Like I think about all
the money that I've wasted and lost on like other NFT projects I could have bought in eight years years ago and I wasted so much opportunity by not you know being here and engaging with all
the people here and stuff but yeah I'm really glad to be here. Hell yeah. XRA I wanted to welcome you
to the club also. You've got a really cool mutant so I just wanted to point it out first of all it's an M2 really fucking cool
robot such a vibe with the jacket um this is this is just kind of a funny connection but
your voice matches your mutant I love that so much he's such a character how'd you pick them what what spoke to you about this one so I wanted a mute I like the
mutant apes the art better than the originals actually and I've wanted a mutant forever
so when I decided that I was gonna like finally like pull the trigger um I wasn't just gonna buy any ape like that you know just because it was on the floor
like I wanted to buy one that I liked and that I felt matched my personality um so with all the
like the the the nerdy tech stuff that I do the robot fit perfect um he seemed really clean I'd
like the the clean apes that don't have like anything coming
out of their mouth or he just flowed really, really well. And I'm a little bit of a wild child.
So the leather jacket and everything fit perfect. He just like when I seen him,

I'm definitely an art fan. I wouldn't call myself an artist. I mean, I would call myself an artist as far as being a musician, but not as far as like drawing or anything like that.
But the gaming interests me quite a bit.
So I think I'm going to take a deep dive into the gamification and learning more and more about that, especially the other side.
So, yeah, that's kind of where I'm at with that.
I do a lot of merch stuff for the community, for the Jimmy Nundee community that I'm in right now.
I manage the merch store, so I do that in Web3.
So, but as far as anything else, that's probably it.

And it is definitely getting some of the higher ups.

So if you look at that one that's down there, it's for the southeast apes.
And then I think it's going to because you already have the Southwest.
And then I think we're going to develop also not where as in me, but us as a club, Northeast and Northwest.
So even though there are smaller chapters, I think it's going to take on a bigger picture or appears that is moving in that in that direction as well.
So if you would just look at that and kind of lean on into that as well yeah definitely pin that up top we want apes to
know about it especially since we've had a few people you know in the midwest region and i feel
like that's a gap that we need to fill for regional clubs.

it's just like to me that's what the club. It's like just full of affluent people who have, um,
just so many things cooking, whether it be business or just like high level, um, high
level humans, just like with, with, with, with crazy careers, like they'll just put everything
on hold for apes. It's like, that is the intimacy of the network of the club.
And it really is like,
you really just tapped into something special when you joined up and,
you know, it's not even like, there's not even a second thought.
It's like, you know what? An ape needs something. Like, I got you,
I got you. And it's just, I don't know. Yeah. It's a monkey JPEG,
but it's really this incredible, powerful network.
And we really see that,
like you see the culmination of that
every year at ApeFest.
You just see people come out of the woodwork
who are just, they're so busy.
They're not on the timeline.
They're not checking floor prices.
They're like high level humans,
high functioning adults with crazy careers
just coming together. And it's just
like, you know, kind of seeing the chapters like kind of come alive again and have those,
have those like those intimate dinners and gatherings. Like, I can't wait to see that
just kind of activate again. And, you know, we're just like a club perpetually through the year,
not just like kind of a pop-up IRL club that happens at Ape Fest,
but one that is occurring in perpetuity IRL. Like, it's just so exciting for me. So, yeah,
and Essential is just like just an incredible human. So to, you know, to be one of the apes
that really inspired you to get like deeply involved in the club, like you just, you met
the right human. So welcome to the club it's it's awesome to
have you i love your ape he's definitely shaken not stirred so i approve of that pick
thank you guys nice meeting you all likewise and dort does not sound um enthused or excited at all
i don't know if y'all got that in his voice like I did, but yeah, man,
Dort has the right, he embodies the right sentiment of,
and the spirit of everything wrapped up in this club, man. And, you know, what he just said, the emotion and the passion that he just displayed,
and, you know, and his take was embodies everything about Board Ape Yacht Club,
Mutant Ape Yacht Club, and all of the other collections
and communities that surround it as well.

I'm trying to find the post here and while i'm trying to find it i remember one of the first if not it might have been the first one of the first events that i ever went to before i was an
ape um was like an ape related event and it's what really got me interested in this club and wanting to join it.
And one of the first people that I met was Baron Von Hustle.
And I believe he's down in the audience listening and celebrating his second year anniversary working with Yuga Labs today.

always thinking a way for him to use his IP.
And I just remember like just the early days of him and like Sean,
Nana hosting spaces and the day that mutants came out and Baron drank the
serum live on Twitter.
And I just have so many bored ape memories of Barron online and in real life.
Really, really someone who's close to my heart.
And I just wanted to tell a little bit of that story.
He's one of the first people I met.
And he is celebrating his second year ape-iversaryversary of working in Yugo Labs today.

About two years into it, he, some, somebody popped into his DMS, um, some thirsty person.
And so I was like, what?
And the next day I had an account.
I was, um, doing morning GM posts, uh, came up fighting.

And he's been in this space for a long time, hustling, building.
He's a 3D artist, a graphic designer by trade. And he's done quite a few avatars for, I think, Nifty Island and Other Side.
So he's hustling part of the board of munchies group also.
And I didn't think this was going to be me at all because I'm an entrepreneur in real life.
I like cash money in my hands.
I don't deal with Bitcoin, any of this kind of stuff.
But next thing you know, I've got multiple wallets full of NFTs.
And I think I
was the first one to pull the plug on getting the ape, right, babe?

husband afterwards, and he was like, you did what? I'm like, yeah, so it's time for you to pick one
too. And he did. And the rest is history. So we're so happy to be here.
Such an awesome story. I know when I started laughing as you was uh telling it i know you
was probably saying what the hell is this guy laughing at he must know the punch line
well i heard you mention it a couple of days ago in a different space so i couldn't contain myself
but yeah that's a beautiful story you know family i would love to like like change it up and be like
i have this other you know but this is it it was like it was
it was kind of like a grimy start because i had no business being on here um and then you know
now i can't i can't stop and my husband's like at least my shopping has changed to like nfts you
know it's not like shoes and yeah you're not my lolo blonics and Jimmy Choo's. Yeah, so no, that's a great direction to come from and to go towards.

It's pretty cool to hear an ape chain community,
like Hopstars, kind of inform your choice about what mutant you wanted to grab.

You know, my community to the hop stars, we've got a couple of whales up in there and every
single one of them owns an ape and they're big advocates of the Macy's and, um, and the
board ape club. And so they had a big hand and also kind of like swaying me the right way. Um,
had me kind of checking every day, you know, what was, what was on the floor. And I was like,
I don't know if I want a floor ape, but I just, when I saw it, it was just, I had, I didn't even
check the cost or anything. I just had to have it.
So I'm really happy with my decision.
Also, I'm from the Bay Area, San Francisco.
I think my husband's the one that tapped into the Bay Area apes.
But I was surprised because we're such a tech area.
And then I didn't see too many people in the Bay.
So I guess I got to change that. I think the Bay Area apes just recently got together. Um,
just like a couple of days ago, I want to say, I know there's a little handful of them out there.
Uh, I used to live in the Bay bay but never had a chance that doesn't sound
great a little handful like i want a big ass handful i want to say like 10 or so maybe a
little bit more that's not enough but here i come like fucking onboarding everybody in the bay
yeah definitely tap in with the bay because it's a you know oakland i used to live in oakland and it's one of my favorite cities
in the planet so i go out there every chance i can get um would definitely love to tap in
with some with some bay area apes well but um the pixel the pixel since i family you you showed up
to welcome wednesday on the other side last week or the other week.

just just enjoying hearing everyone's story and milestones that you're having IRL things that are
happening for you and and it's just really
cool meeting everyone on this journey. Well, just know, I was going to say, just know, you never
need a reason to share something as beautiful as, um, you know, a wedding and a baby and a family.
That is the reason. So yeah, anytime.
If people don't stop what they're doing and enjoy that right there,

you've seen, you may not have, but just in a space with just a bunch of community members and some
